Sunny Hostin Discovers Black Quarterbacks
"Let me get back to the brain dead amongst us from the view, sunny hostin, and I want to actually play that clip because we have the clip now available. I want to play the clip of what she actually said. So you don't think I made it up. Roll the clip from sunny hostin. The only thing that would have made it better for me is, you know, finally we know that black quarterbacks can lead teams. And our smart enough to lead team. I would like to see I always knew that. We knew that. We knew that. But you know, it takes people a minute to catch up. How about some black owners? Some black owners. Cheryl Lee Ralph brought us to church with lift every voice and sing. I felt like I was watching Wakanda, actually. I was just like, this is amazing. But we still need more black owners. Well, first of all, Wakanda's not even a real place. And second of all, what does a black owner have to do with the team's success? Does it somehow make the team better because the person is black? You know, it's like me saying we need black we need more white defensive bags. So we could say that white people can run a defense. Shut up, woman. Also, the fact that we now know that black people can run a team, I just named y'all these quarterbacks. I mean, they say, we now know that black people can run a team because two people of African descent are in the Super Bowl. I mean, God, dang, they forgot about Russell Wilson. They forgot all about Russell whisky going to the going to the Super Bowl. I think Russell Wilson went to the Super Bowl a few times and probably one of the most winning his quarterbacks of his time. I mean, we can go down the list Cam Newton went to the Super Bowl as well. Young guy, unorthodox quarterback, because he was the part of the biggest quarterback I've ever seen. They can run. I mean, we can go down a list. You know, Colin Kaepernick sucked even though that's the person that they beloved. And there are so many other great quarterbacks that have played. And we talk about college football. I mean, there's a plethora of great quarterbacks that play in college football. The kid who just won the husband trophy. I think he's biracial. Caleb Williams, that kid is that kid is literally the only other person other than Patrick Mahomes that can gun that thing like that. But with the funny thing is in the spirit of saying we need black quarterbacks and black quarter we can do this. We kind of crap on the white quarterbacks that can actually run.

The Super Bowl With Two Black Starting Quarterbacks Went Viral
"So sunny hostin decided to make a commentary about the black quarterbacks in the Super Bowl. Mind you one of them is biracial. That means one of his parents is white and the other one is black, which is Patrick Mahomes. And then Jalen hurts his period of both his parents are black, they light skinned and so you know they mixed with something. But anyway, Jalen hurts being black, she gets on, and I'm paraphrasing that she made the statement to say that now we know that black people can run a team and there can be black quarterbacks. Well, first of all, that's why women y'all need to stick to y'all sports and leave our sports out of it. Especially if you ain't never watched football before, you know what you're talking about, you're just going on a rant about the Super Bowl the first one you've ever watched in your life. Black quarterbacks have been a thing for a very long time. Some of the greatest quarterbacks in history of the NFL were black quarterbacks. Somehow she forget about and I'm just going to say a brief number of them. Each of you get about one moon, way back in the day. Quincy Carter played for the cowboys. I mean, he was he great. He was a star quarterback on the cowboys. Dak Prescott. I mean, is he not black? I guess you don't count because he ain't in the Super Bowl. But then you go through Donovan McNabb, Steve, mcnair, Steve mcnair, you can go through college football and then go to the NFL. And they may not have panned out, but Vince Young was one of the best quarterbacks who ever played in college football in my opinion. He was one of the best quarterbacks to ever play. He got into the NFL may rookie of the year and then he didn't play after that because of his personal decision making. We can go down the list. Who you got, Nick. I mean, I think I got a few of them. Oh, you took my now. Lamar Jackson, which is the most dynamic quarterback in the NFL. And then you have Michael Vick way back in the day. Michael Vick came out. First round draft pick. Gun in it. Michael Vick was a tremendously great quarterback. I mean, I can go down a list of how many dynamic quarterbacks. In the funny thing is, is that they like to make a spectacle and try to point out everything they can to make us divided. And I talk about the black national anthem here in a second, but they try to make us divided.

A Maricopa-Style Super Bowl
"Yesterday morning, I was going for a walk and the Super Bowl was in Phoenix and I saw a bunch of guys wearing eagles gears and again, I don't have strong opinions about the eagles or the chiefs honestly. Don't really have a dog in the fight. And so I said this non sarcastically to this group of guys, maybe it came across our cast. Hey guys, good luck today. And they stopped. They said, we don't need it. We're going to wet. I was like, what? That's a very strange way to respond. And unfortunately, that was a pattern of eagle fans that I encountered in the valley. They were very, very convinced that they were going to win. And they didn't. But however, to the eagles community, they definitely do have a rather strong argument that bad things do happen in Maricopa County when the referees don't do their job. Okay, so let's just indulge me for a second. I know a lot of you in the audience say Charlie, why do you talk about football? They're the worst and all this. I love football. I'm not going to apologize for it. Yes, I know I have to I have to tolerate their wokeness and all this stuff. But the beauty of the sport of football is worth cringing and complaining during the microdosing of woke ism. This is the zapruder film. I'm sorry, it has to be pretty film. It is the end of the chiefs game, the chief's eagles game, which is now in eagles, folklore, gonna be analyzed more than that of the Kennedy assassination. Watch this objectively. By the way, I did not want the eagles to win. The whole day I was bothered by the fact that the eagles fans are we don't need luck. We're gonna win. Okay, pal. And also, I really, I like Jalen hurts and I like Patrick Mahomes, but just look at this, this is how a Super Bowl should be decided. No, I liked the outcome and I'm telling you, this is an in. This is a bad call. It's bad for the sport. It deteriorates trust in referees. Let them play, especially that's two minutes. There should be an unspoken rule by NFL officials that you only throw a flag unless it is convincing.

Why Chiefs will win Super Bowl: experience and talent
"Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes goes into the Super Bowl as the NFL's MVP. But he knows that she's often can operate as efficiently as the blocking by his offensive line. Everybody knows that everything starts up front. And so it would be a great challenge for offensive line to try to do what they can in the run game and the pass game of protecting and run blocking. This exam could determine the course of your ninja work from here on out. They're either considered heroes who are kind of fighting for what's right or they're considered villains who must be stopped at all costs. So yeah, the idea of each of these guys having their own superpower and kind of coming from far and wide to band together in this one place. That was where rogue ninjas came from, you know, credit to juju Smith Schuster and his love of anime for helping me out on that one, I guess. He's Naruto uzumaki of the village hidden in the leaves. The chiefs won their divisional round game against the Jaguars last weekend, 27 to 20. What did you see from this Casey offense in that game and from The White House in particular? That was a bit of a weird game, right? I am a homeless pulled pretty much everything out of his bag. I think on that first drive you're compared to last. My home side sling complete and juju Smith Schuster. Doing these crazy sidearm passes. And just really extending plays and showing why he's probably the MVP again this year. On the run. Helps you in the middle. But then he gets injured as his mobility is limited and incomes Chad henny and leads them on a long touchdown drive and think showing why they, if mahomes is unable to go or isn't quite up to his usual self this weekend against Cincinnati that they wouldn't necessarily have a problem putting chat in the end. Chad henny facing third and three. Facing pressure Arden key hits him. He completes it Kelsey made a man miss got a first down and there's a flag. I think you saw the strains of this offense come out in Travis Kelce and that kind of short middle ground and letting him use his unique, totally singular skill set to get yards after the catch. And Kelsey and the end zone. For another touchdown. The receivers as a group, I mean guderian's Tony led the way with 5 catches for 36 yards. It wasn't a ton. I'll just scanline had one catch for 6 yards and a touchdown. And you know, they also relied on the ground game as well. And I think that's a big difference in this offense this year as they have a little bit more of a bulldozer and Pacheco in this rookie. And he finished with 95 yards on the ground, so more than able to make up for I think what mahomes lost in his mobility when he sprained his ankle. But that becomes the Travis culture show, and you know, they come out with a win because, hey, they have maybe the best tight end of all time. Well, speaking of Patrick Mahomes mobility, which you mentioned there, one of the biggest talking points going into the AFC championship game this weekend is, of course, Patrick Mahomes ankle. It could be totally fine. Come game time, but Alex, if it is giving him some problems, how might that impact the types of plays that the chiefs call and do you think that that could impact the role that their wide receivers in particular play? Yeah, perhaps. I wonder if it becomes even more of a focus where Cincinnati now, if mahomes isn't quite a 100% a lockdown, Kelsey and then fully take him out of the game and again dare this quintet of rogue ninjas, so to speak, to beat them and one on one scenarios, I could see them establishing the run game leading on Pacheco a little bit more, you know, relying on this kind of quick hit action, not just to Kelsey, but to McKinnon and others out of the backfield, getting creative again with how do they utilize guys like Tony, you know, they'll have all their receiver weapons out there and it strikes me as potentially a good time to dig into your bag and see what these guys can do. Especially if you can't rely as much on mahomes making plays himself. All right, last thing here, Alex, you've laid out the role that this group of White House has played over the course of the season, the sort of limited role. What role do you see them playing for Kansas City in a potential Super Bowl run? Yeah, it would be surprised me at all if Kansas City wins the Super Bowl that one of these receivers is their leading receiver in the actual Super Bowl game itself. It feels like every year there's some guy who maybe we haven't been talking about nearly as much. He puts on a show. Now it would shock me if they won the Super Bowl and Patrick Mahomes was in the MVP. But it wouldn't shock me if his leading receiver is valid as scantling who he hits on a couple of defaults or juju, who he suddenly needs to rely on because he's finding it a little bit hard to get it to Kelsey in space. You know, that's what makes them so dangerously diverse this season in a way that they haven't been in the past. So regardless of how specifically any of the receivers play if Kansas City makes the Super Bowl and ends up winning, I think they're presence people will look back and see that it had benefits on the offense as a whole. Well I was thanks once again for joining us and for breaking all this down. Of course. Thank you. You can read Alex Pruitt's full story about Patrick Mahomes and his rogue ninjas at SI dot com. And so they posed for pictures, did all the regular wedding things. He did pictures with Brittany and then his family, and then finally they pulled aside all the groomsmen. There were 5 of them. Four of them were White House alums. And in the one photo that I saw, Patrick is standing in the middle and his 5 rooms men are on the outside of him. Directly to his right is his brother Jackson. He loves his brother very much. A huge part of his life. "Sarah, in this competition, this historic competition that will not end. That lasted so much longer than that one workout. Lasted so much longer than that summer lasted multiple years. What ended up changing that endless campaign? Well, they went into their sophomore years. They thought that it was just gonna be another battle as the starting quarterback for the JV team. The varsity team was set at quarterback. And then one day, Patrick got called into the coach's office and they let him know they wanted to call him up to play varsity, but at safety, not. This is remarkable. By the way, I just love how everyone in this story was like, yes, I am the guy who wouldn't start patching the homes from day zero. I'm the guy who said he should play safety. That's one of the amazing things about Patrick Mahomes, like even when he became a great quarterback. It's not like Alabama and Clemson were flying their helicopter into to see him. He is. But wait, this timeline, there's other timeline now that I'm imagining where he is a safety, okay? What's Patrick Mahomes defensive back looking like? Not a huge hitter. Everybody said that like, listen, he'd come up and make tackles, but he was not letting people out. He was not the fastest, but you know, he was a really good tremendous instincts had a bunch of interceptions. He understood the way offenses worked. And as a baseball player, he certainly knew how to track down fly balls. So he got the balls knocked him down and got interceptions and but he hated it. He just he is a quarterback in his heart and so he played safety and he played it well. But it wasn't what he loved. And so presumably, the guy who is doing what he loved is his best friend, right? Like this is Ryan cheetham's job I presume or where is he at this point in their parallel path? Cheatham's on JV just loving life. They are rolling up 50, 60 points on people. And because they had a really good roster outside of two great quarterback prospects. They had just a great bunch of kids coming up through White House and the varsity staff is starting to realize like we have the makings of a great team, a great program here. We just have to figure out the quarterback situation. And even after that sophomore year, they weren't any closer to a decision. Wait, so Patrick Mahomes is not liking his job. He's not liking the position that he's being asked to play. And what does he do as a result? Well, the coaches were quick to say like, he never said a single word that he was displeased. They could just tell though that this kid was a quarterback. And Patrick looked in the mirror and he saw that that he could be a great quarterback. And so he had a tough year playing safety, and he told his mom, you know, that I just don't know if football's for me. And it was really tricky because he was so good at two other sports. He loved basketball so much. He loved duke basketball. He loved playing point guard and then he was fantastic at baseball. And so, you know, mahomes and his mom, they declined to comment for this story, but the picture that other people painted and then also from past interviews where she talked to about Patrick's decision making, you know, she told him, you know, you got to pray about this. And mahomes did, and when the junior season rolled around, mahomes was still wrestling with, do I want to play football again? Or I safety in my quarterback, what kind of chance am I going to get here? And you know, his mom just said, you know, I do think you're going to regret it if you quit. Man, I just, I'm now thinking of like Patrick Mahomes slapping the floor. At Cameron indoor. I just can't, I can't handle this. Other reality you painted. Can you imagine this chapter, I mean, we'll see how the rest of the mahomes era ends, but this chapter of professional football has been altered by Patrick Mahomes. And the idea that we were, we might not have gotten it because of this moment, you know? It made my head explode a little bit. The sliding doors of the whole thing. But luckily, I guess, like he didn't quit football, spoiler alert, right? Like he kept on playing. But what happens at White House high school? Because mahomes was playing safety, his best friend, Ryan cheatham, was dominating the JV as quarterback. And so again, the starting quarterback question. What happens next? Well, the coaches were like, well, you're not going to play defensive back anymore. But we just need a little bit more time to figure this quarterback. I am now getting furious at these coaching. I'm not going to lie to you. I'm like, I'm mad on everyone's back. Well, it doesn't fly in the face of everything we think we know about quarterbacking. It's like the old cliche is like if you have two good quarterbacks, you don't have one, you know? These guys needed 5 years of looking at these two players. And it's just like, dude, make a decision already. Yeah, you might have one. You might have one here. So The White House started that year too and they were split and snaps. It was basically no different than it was in 7th grade, where here we are in 11th grade. And it's no different than when they were 7th graders. And finally, you know, a few people consider this sort of like, they speak about it with some religiousness in their voice. If that's even a word. But in the third game, the heavens opened up. You're playing one of their rival schools sulfur springs, and it was really ugly whether

"AP sports I'm David Schuster to NFL playoff games contested Saturday in Kansas City, Patrick Mahomes played through an ankle injury throwing a pair of touchdown passes as the chiefs down Jacksonville 27 20, Kansas City coach Andy Reid crediting his defense. I thought from the DBs to the defensive line to the linebackers, I just, again, my head goes off to the guys for that. Meanwhile, in Philadelphia, the eagles overwhelmed the Giants 38 to 7 with our Michael luongo in attendance. The eagle jumped to a 14 nothing for his quarterly on touchdown passes by a jail and hurts won the Dallas Goddard. The other devonta Smith first picked up a 5 yard touchdown run with 43 seconds to go in the first half, Boston Scott had a three yard touchdown one, maybe for the second quarter for the birds who were advanced to the NSA championship game for the first time since 2017. Coming up later Sunday, it will be Cincinnati at buffalo and Dallas at San Francisco. Lots of NBA action Saturday, Boston made it 9 straight wins, one O 6 one O four over Toronto, grant Williams scoring 25 points off the bench. As a role player in this league, you have to be prepared for any of those opportunities and you have to step up when the opportunity arises. And I feel like I try my best to do that and tonight shops went down and just continue to be aggressive. Evan mobley was aggressive scoring a career high 38 points as Cleveland defeated Milwaukee one 14 one O two, mobley's coach JB bickerstaff certainly impressed. You know, it's not just a particular quarter, but it's when winning matters the most. And I think he's got that gene when winning Mars is the most to rise to another level. And Minnesota coach Chris Finch had a bird's eye view, watching Anthony Edwards score 44 points as the T wolves defeated Houston one 13 one O four. Yeah, I mean, he was locked in all day. We had talked yesterday about how important this game was for us. And how he needed to set the tone. He certainly did that. He was special today. College hoops, TCU crushed number two Kansas, 83 60. Chiefs, led by hobbled Mahomes, beat Jags 27-20 in playoffs
"Olympic Patrick Mahomes in a pair of late takeaways carried the chiefs to a 27 20 win over the Jaguars, putting Kansas City in the AFC title game for the 5th straight season. Mahomes missed most of the second quarter after Jags pass Russia Arden key landed on them, but the quarterback led the chiefs on a 75 yard fourth quarter touchdown drive. Mahomes passed for 195 yards and two scores. Travis Kelce had 14 receptions for 98 yards and two TDs. Trevor Lawrence threw for 217 yards, one touchdown, and a late interception for Jacksonville. "NFL roundup Saturday preview. I'm Dave ferry. Fresh off a biweek, the eagles and chiefs are back on the field Saturday and her favorites to advance to the conference championship games. Philadelphia hosts the Giants of Kansas City entertains the Jaguars. The week off gave eagles quarterback Jalen hurts extra time to rest his spring right shoulder. He missed two games, but was back under center when the eagles beat the Giants 22 16 in week 18. Hertz has respect for the Giants defense. Regardless of what they've done, you know, I think they've done it well. What are they playing man coverage? They do that well, whatever the plan is on coverage, they play that well. So I think for us, it's just on us executing versus them. Hurts was healthy when the eagles handed the Giants their worst loss of the season, 48, 22 and week 14. And now the two teams meet for the third time in 7 weeks, eagles wide receiver AJ Brown says he doesn't see that as an advantage for either team. It doesn't matter how many times you play it. Come down to it. This opportunity and shouldn't be worried about what you did in the past or it doesn't help it doesn't hurt. You got to execute and that's what we find. The Giants were riding high at 7 and two before a two 5 and one finish dropped them to the 6th seed, but New York advanced in the wildcard as Daniel Jones threw for 301 yards and ran for 78 yards in the 31 24 downing of the Vikings. But he faces another challenge playing in front of the hostile eagle fans. It's a divisional game. I think that brings some intensity to it and yeah, I mean, they're known for having a good crowd that supports their team and yeah, so we're prepared for it. We've played there. Coach Brian debal says Jones has grown in his four NFL seasons, although this is their first year together. Dave ball sees Jones as a calming influence who is far removed from the player who went 12 and 25 in his first three years. Players looked to him because he is that consistent voice consistent message and consistent player, how he practices, I think, consistent is probably the best word to use. On paper, the chief's Jaguars game appears to be a potential mismatch, and Jags coach Doug Peterson knows their margin for error is small. For us, it's just a matter of just staying disciplined and trusting what we're doing. And just understand your role within your game plan, right? And just execute each play one at a time. Peterson was a backup quarterback when Reid was head coach of the eagles. And he also was a member of Reid's coaching staff. Reed has been impressed by Jacksonville's improvement this season. They've improved every week, and they have bought it. Doug's done a great job as his coaches have. It takes everybody. So, but he's a nice job with her. A 27, 17 loss in Kansas City left the Jaguars three and 7, but Jacksonville won 6 of its last 7 to win the AFC south, then turned to 27, nothing deficit into a 31 30 win over the Chargers in the wild card round. They advanced to the divisional round despite four first half interceptions by Trevor Lawrence, who also threw for four touchdowns and leading the comeback. I think we scored every drive in the second half, didn't pun again. So, I mean, that's huge, obviously, gives us confidence, and you don't want to do that, but to be able to win a game like that is really, really special. Lawrence has put up good numbers, throwing for 4113 yards and 25 touchdowns. But chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes put up historic numbers, racking up 5250 passing yards and 41 touchdowns for the NFL's number one scoring offense. But the playoffs are an elevated brand of football, according to mahomes. I think you build up for this all season long. The regular season you take it week by week, but you want to be here in the playoffs and you know you're going to play the best football teams in the league and that's what you want to do as a competitor. And so I'm excited to get to go up against a great football team at arrowhead. That's always a good time. As of Friday afternoon, DraftKings had the chiefs at 9 point favorite while the eagles were giving 7 and a half points. Sunday's games have the bills hosting the Bengals before the cowboys visit the forty-niners. I'm Dave ferry, AP sports.

During your interaction with Patrick Mahomes, Henry, you said there's always a place that your dinner table for him. Will you have dinner with Patrick Oklahoma's in the off season? Are you going to follow up? He will have a chicken stuffed with ricotta and spinach. Nice. That will make his mouth happy. And he said to me, I'm going to keep you to your word on your dinner, and I said there is always a seated my table for you. I loved it. We all loved the encounter. That's why it's gone viral. When I was chatting with him, I was present enough to realize how present he was. How many times I've met somebody and they go, yeah, yeah, really good to meet you. You know, I got a big show to do. "Which college qualifies as professional sports is the conflict between business and winning and they don't always align those things are not always consistent and at least in this case they're at all. Because like I said, there's not much more he can gain. I don't think he can impact his draft status until he does combine and private workouts. That's the only way he can impact his draft status going forward. I mean, he's already won a Heisman. If he balls out in this game against Tennessee, they're not going to put them even higher. So yeah, that's it for Bryce. We'll see what happens in this game, but I mean, obviously we root for health for everyone and every game, but certainly for him in this one. I got one more thing for you on this. And this is both coaching and also talent. We see Bama just blow teams out because they just dominate the trenches. And Bama has probably the best overall player in college football and will Anderson on the defensive line. But the fascinating thing about this game is Tennessee's offensive line and how dominant they have been. They're not allowing pressure for hinden hooker, but also they're so dominant and goal to go situations is a static effort by 38. That Tennessee has reached goal to go on 17 drives this season. They've scored a touchdown on every single one of them. Every single one of them. So if there are actually able to compete with Alabama and the trenches, this will be a close game. This will be a good competing with Alabama and trenches. I mean, will Anderson's obviously obviously a very special linebacker. But I think your point about the trenches always feel like a differentiates the great college teams from the good college teams. It's a lot easier to find a 6 foot super athlete, like they're a lot of them relative to 6.5, 300 pounds, super athletes. And Alabama and Georgia seem like they have that market corner, but I can't wait to this game to watch this game so we can talk about it when we get back. Me, you got any interest in going to a returning practice. I feel like there's nothing to talk about there. He's coming back is, we'll see. Do you want to see him play again this year? I guess that's the one question I have is, I mean, I want him to do what he wants to do. But I kind of don't want to watch him play again. I'm going to be incredibly uncomfortable and nervous. I guess I'll get over it, but that's where I'm at. I mean, it just feels like, no, no, I'm with you. It just feels like lather rinse repeat on all of this. We've done so much moral hand wringing about concussions in the NFL and how we are as fans and how much you have learned since you played and it feels like, yeah, I'm going to feel really uncomfortable for it. And I think with it, but I think I'll probably get over it unless something else happens to do it.

"But on the other side of that, the chief's part of it, we'll see. We'll see if they're going to work themselves up for this game because this is the year that the chiefs pivoted from being all in every single year to taking the really wide lens view of it. We're going to get rid of Tyree kill. We're going to start to rebuild around Patrick Mahomes and build this dynasty for more than a decade. So I don't even know if they're looking at which is crazy to say because they're playing the bills, the ultimate measuring stick, if they're looking at this game as ultra important or just another step in being a really good regular season team that prepares them to peak at the right time in the postseason. Because Patrick, he's past this. He's past the Josh Allen MVP year. He's starting to be judged just in championships for success. And same with this whole chief's dynasty. What was the year in the bowl 6 championships? Was the year when they set the record? It wasn't the, I know, but I mean, was that the third one? It was the year after they lost to her. There's the fourth chase. Yeah, so, okay, yeah, yeah, so it's Jordan's first year back. Well, I mean, he came back, yeah, he came back midway through his first year back. And yeah, and there's something to be said for that. That's the reason why I was like, all right, we got a point to prove. And the same thing could be said for the warriors crazy 73 win season. What happened a year before that in the warriors? Did they lose the championship? No. They lost the day. They're weirdos. They wanted 15. Right, and then they lost a year. They went 73. Yeah. And the Cavs had a bunch of injuries and they're one year that they want. Anyway, I'm getting away from it. And draymond, hunch LeBron and the nuts, and that happens. Oh, draymond. We're not going to talk about gerrymandering today. We'll save some time for me. All right. That's enough time on that game. Let's go to the NFC. The surprise is the cowboys, the eagles we expect them to be here. The big conversation is like, who is this more important to, I think? And I actually find that kind of intriguing. It's one of those kind of stupid sports talk questions that we just throw out there that don't mean anything, but it kind of means something to me because I think it's obviously, even though the cowboys are trailing in a division, it seems obvious that the eagles still have to prove something to themselves. They destroyed the Vikings other than that, they don't really have an impressive win.

"Don't know if I could, or if someone asked me to bet something an amount of money that I care about, I feel like I can't just can't go against Patrick Mahomes and it's a logical, it's emotional, but we've seen him do it so many times. So many impressive things. And I guess our last memory of him is like turning into a terrible quote. Our last playoff memory of him is turning into a terrible quarterback for the second half of that championship game against the Bengals, but I also am a little down on them and we talked about this in the last part because they don't have a true number one and I think the difference between them and the bills is the bills have potentially two true number ones. I guess I don't know exactly how good Gabe Davis is because he's come up in a world where Stefon Diggs is the actual number one, but he's really good also. He's making really incredible big plays and tough situations. So the bills are the better team and I just I've got to pick them to win this week, but when they meet in the playoffs, which feels inevitable, I don't know if I can do that. What do you think? Okay, so this one's fascinating to me because well obviously it's fascinating because it's the matchup of the two best teams in the NFL. But beyond that, I think it's really interesting how our public perception has totally shifted on these teams and I say that because the bills are two and a half point road favorites in this game. And they open this two point favorite. So people are betting the bills up on the road in Kansas city. That's pretty indicative that we now trust Josh Allen, the regulations and quarterback as much or more than we trust Patrick Mahomes. And I don't really think that's wrong. The bills are operating as like a at this point. Statistically, it's like one of the top 5 offense as we've ever seen. But I don't really think that's what separates them from the chiefs right now. Yeah, they're awesome, but the chiefs are also number one and EPA. Offensively. And basically, I think the defense is the separating factor in this game. You think it's the receivers. I think it's the bills have one of the best defenses in the NFL. Yeah, that's fair. And even down one of their superstar safeties, their defense is still really good. They talk about this before how they take the pressure off of their corners because that's where their inexperienced at least until they get TRE davious white back who's a really great corner. Then this team gets even better. And they have a closer and we talk about like, I think the ravens are the best example of a team that was built and a complimentary fashion, like not this year necessarily but when the ravens were at their peak,

"Radio iHeartRadio. And nearly 400 cities around America. Whenever we talk about the success of the Kansas City Chiefs, we normally start with Patrick Mahomes. But he's not the only longtime chief who deserves credit for the success because Andy Reid is been an elite coach for a long time. He had a lot of success in Philadelphia, 5 NFC title game appearances, and then success with the Kansas City Chiefs. They lose tyreek hill in the off season, no big deal. And you did have analysts who said they're going to be more dangerous. I thought they were going to be different. I didn't know how they could be more dangerous when you don't have the fastest player in the NFL. But you do have Patrick Mahomes, but Andy Reid and that partnership, Eric biene, they're offensive coordinator, feels like there's no arguing on the sidelines this week after what happened last week. They got everything back to normal and picked up the win. Here is Tom Brady talking about Patrick Mahomes. Very fortunate to maximize mine. I've had a lot of mentors in my life that played a very important role in helping me be the best I could be too. So at least I could do is give it back to all the other people that are looking for success in their field. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers rushed for three yards last night. The Kansas City almost ran for 200 yards last night. So that balance was the big difference here. And Tampa's defense, which when it shows up is awesome, did not show up last night. And here's Tom Brady or Patrick Mahomes talking about going into the matchup with Tom Brady. I see him in the off season a lot. Now, I just said good luck on the rest of the year. I feel like I said this earlier in the week, I think you can some interview where I was like, I feel like I've had the last game against Tom Brady like four times now. So until he is not on that field when I step on the field, I'm not going to believe this is my last game against him. All right, mahomes look great. And mahomes will occasionally remind us. And it's strange that he has to remind us of just how great he is.

"Tries to pass that he probably shouldn't. Mahomes steps up, doesn't throw initially fine time throws tried to force it in. Off the bounce Tennessee has got it. And we've seen those time and time again. This season for Patrick Mahomes. The next possession Patrick Mahomes scrambles and then he fumbles the football while trying to get additional yards. And mahomes will keep going. Loses the football Tennessee has got it. Nothing is working for the chiefs. And so there is a real snowball effect. And teams now know the best way to beat the chiefs is to try to take the ball from them and then continue to kind of keep them in that place, not let the chiefs sort of rally in game confidence. I mean, you mentioned daring and him being fearless and creative and obviously that goes back to what he was before, and those stories that you wrote about. So is it possible that opposing defenses are just more prepared for those things now? And those aren't really working for him as much as they used to? It's a great question Tiffany and I think this has been something that's been in the making since 2018, right? I think opposing defensive coordinators and players on defense were utterly amazed by what mahomes could do in 2018. And there was really no defense designed to stop this. But I think defense is so starting to realize that they should not blitz my homes. He's the least blis quarterback in the league. So if you have 7 defenders out in coverage, well, hey, if a ball is tipped, there's another defender nearby for an interception. And so what defenses are trying to do is to prevent a deep pass from mahomes. That is what he is so effective at. It's what makes the chiefs offense so potent. A deep pass from Patrick Mahomes to tyreek hill the fastest receiver in the league, well, now safety user playing 20 to 15 yards off the ball. It's made mahomes have to think a little bit more, which means, well now I gotta force the issue. Now I have to initiate something that create a.

I haven't really talked to him about that but i i know he's from that area and he's going to be great wherever he goes so and i'm his biggest fan so astounded if he wants to go there where he wants to go there. Lucky dab unless you guys know how feel on that of the world them. And i think he's a football coach and a great man so and you walk into obviously there but his first game going back into the race. Is there something extra. They come players in the first game. Especially when it's such china offered. Yeah they've got justin houston. They're there's a little bit of that going on in this game of knowing knowing people so and organizations. But i'm sure he'll be excited. I think what it really comes down to it though. He's going to focus on his performance. What he needs to do to to perform well so he's mature guy that waste now couple of years but did between the contains a billing list because of wessel about this against of our very well coached and they're they've got good players and so it's always a knock down drag out fight there and they're tough. That's the way they practice. That's the way you go about their business. And so we've got gotta make sure we prepare ourselves right for it. So every play is on his down when you play them Mournful yeah well. Both of them. Can they know how to run the football and you saw that even with the injuries that are taking place ran the ball. So i think they're office. Coordinator has got a tremendous respect for it. He he's got a great feel for run game. Lamar obviously as a huge threat. I mean he's just he can throw it to run it and he's smart so all those things go in likes to play the game so you gotta prepare yourself the right way. They're going on now. I think it's great they-they've again is a great human being. I think he's good for that organization in particular where they say you know what people perceive where sit now And he hasn't believing in tyrod is a i think he's a very good quarterback. Were i was lucky enough to have them in a pro bowl so got to work with them a little bit and now he has an opportunity to play and look like he took advantage of that opportunity very well back to the practice today. Coming from less state review wouldn't miss didn't have and report back. Yeah so. I mean he's a great player and and not taking anything away from the other guys. I mean they did a nice job back there. But you're obviously. I miss somebody like that. So he's wondering primers signal callers back there so be getting it back in that role and keep the communication. I've everybody's gonna play them. Those guys. it was great great experience for twenty two. Had a nice day problem for how he handles business He's still gonna play. So i mean he's going to have an opportunity he's in different different group. Is it out so but it'd be great to get around back when you talk about justin houston but they have gotten involved cliffs campbell. Wing guys of washington played a raiders with you. Love fast fast fast. They get the ball just as actually playing very well forum slight. Then i'm a fan of his too. So i mean he's a football player and he knows you knows this offense and so but those other guys they they play play hard and aggressive and you know you gotta be accurate. What you do in may help.

And i really wanted him to address that aspect of it the fact that we need to see more black reporters covering the nfl. And that's one of the reasons why he wrote this piece for my column and why. He is such a big advocate for the scholarship fund. At howard tarez paler. He wants another generation of sports writers. Who don't look like me to be able to find homes covering the national football league and quite honestly to just be writing about anything leaving college these days because journalism is so important anyway. My thanks to patrick mahomes. You should know that and you should know that. hey look. It didn't take three days to do this but he took time out of his off season to do that. And i am appreciative. So let's go on to my conversation. It chargers training camp last week with the rising star quarterback the los angeles chargers just in herber question. I wanted to ask you for months. Is week two of the season last year. You're standing there. You're backing up. Tyrod taylor and all of a sudden you're told you're in you've never played a live snap in the nfl in your life and now you're having to go out and play against the kansas city chiefs. Can you take me back to that moment in. Describe what it was like and then what you're thinking going on the field at that moment. Of course. I think it's one of those moments that you know i. I've looked to my entire life and being able to go out there and play football in the national football league against the reigning. Super bowl champs. I i don't think it's much better than that and As quickly as it happened. You didn't have to worry about anything you just go. How quickly did it happen. It was maybe maybe fifteen to twenty seconds kickoff and You didn't have to worry about it. as coach anthony lynn. So he comes up to he goes. You're in and i didn't have my helmet so i had to go get my helmet. Did you ask them why. No i just said all right and because we're about to receive the kickoff and i needed to get the plan you you'd get my helmet and there was things that needed to happen really quickly so i i had to run over there and get it but Fun though and then when you went out to the huddle did anybody say anything to you like. Hey kid what are you doing here. I don't think any of them. New hunter henry for the first time when he saw me out there he he almost said you know. What are you doing here. And i just said you know what run play. We're gonna run the plane and hand it off and we're going to get five yards so that's kind of how it went down but It was it was kind of funny. There did anybody on the defense. Say anything to you at that moment. A couple of guys. It kind of started spread throughout the sideline. And i remember. Joey came up to joey. Bosa and slapping on the shoulder and said all right. It's time to go. it's up to you now. And i remember thinking like oh it's my turn you know i get to go out there and play football and To have the support of those guys out there made it a lot easier and then did anybody on the chiefs. Say anything to you when you came up to the line no It was it was really quite and especially with fans out there. Either it was kind of a weird introduction to the nfl but It's funny the way it worked out..

"So you also bought a partial stake in the local pro soccer team sporting kansas city. Why have you bought a stake in both the royals and kansas city. Yeah i mean. I think it's kind of a longtime vision for my future obviously being in kansas city being in this community and seeing the people that we have here. I know that. I'm gonna be for a very long time. And i love for for other sports as well and i love baseball. My dad My fiancee brittany played soccer professionally overseas. So i've developed a love for watching soccer and to see those people in those organizations and how they ran I get the look in on it at an early age And i know once. Football's over i'll still be in sports somehow and so what better way than looking through other organizations that have had success in this area are then comey give me a little insight into it. You really want an nba team in kansas city. Don't you oh. I do big time and We have the infrastructure. We have the the fan base. If you look at lawrence and how We support a the university of kansas. You know that we'd had the fans out there so it's just about trying to get a team here and we'll see if we can make it happen in the in the long run but i i'm excited for what we have now. Have you been active at all and trying to make that happen. I have a little bit. I've talked to some people and try to see what's the chances of getting a team here and it's a it's a long term vision. That hopefully will happen over time. But i mean. I love watching basketball. I'll i'll watch the mavs lot being from texas luca don-shik and all those guys go to work. And i think kansas city it'd be a great place for team. Want to ask you something about the super bowl. After the super bowl i looked up the stats and you were hit or significantly pressured. Twenty nine times in that game which is a super bowl record. No quarterback was ever abused that much in a super bowl which was natural. You had a lot of guys out on the line. It was a makeshift line. And yet knowing you you're still probably really angry about the way the offense played and about how many points you produced in that game. How do you look back on that day. Yeah i think you look back on that day and you have to learn from it. I think the biggest thing when you beat like that By obviously a really good. Football team You have to look back on that and see that you can't come not one hundred percent ready to play every single day and we had injuries here and there but everyone has injuries at their time of year for us to not go out there and be able to even the end zone at all It's something that will haunt me for the rest of my career but You learn you get better from it and try to make sure you're ready to go and whenever you get another chance at you don't Go out and show out like he did that time. How physically healthy were you that day with your foot. The injury to your foot. Yeah i mean it was hurt But i mean it was hurt kind of throughout the entire playoffs. I knew to have surgery after the season. knew that wouldn't be right after the season as quickly as possible and it will be a rehab process of a couple of months And so to me. At that point there was nothing that was gonna hold me back from being on that football field And i feel like if i could if i could have played better earlier in the game and might have kinda lessen the pressure that we got throughout the entire game and so it kinda. That's football works if you don't come out ready to play You can get your tell wolf anywhere so in the time after the game you have surgery. What is the status of your tone. Your foot right now. Yeah it feels good now. I mean this is the best. It's felt since since the play right before the playoffs last year I've been able to go out here have had taken any days off at it. Haven't had to take any plays off whereas in the spring a little bit. Not as when i was doing some of the sprint outs. We kinda let chad to go in and do that type of stuff so being able to do that. And take the constant pressure of every single day running and being on that and not having any setbacks We're in a good spot that hopefully we can keep building and keeping better by even season when you look at your offensive line now. The one that you're practicing with right now what do you think. Is it a work in progress. And what's the chemistry like there. I think that's been the biggest soup i wanna say. Surprised but really surprised for me is the chemistry that they built so quickly. When you have a lot of new guys. I mean in that whole entire offense align room and then without starting five a lot of new guys on that on that group to see them kind of come together. They're hanging out there having dinners. They're eating with each other every single time. We're out. I'm out here at the lunchroom here And they've become best friends So they've already started to build that chemistry. Obviously there'll be bumps here and there where they're learning how we do things here compared to where they were at But you see that fight and that passionate they had for this game. And i think that's gonna that's already really good so he can get even better as the season goes on. Is you've watched the nfl this off season. There's been a bunch of drama with quarterbacks with russell wilson with aaron rodgers and i sort of look at you and i'm sure i mean you're a lot earlier in your career than those guys are but when you look at your place with this team you relationship with andy reid. The coach and bread beach. The general manager seems almost golden. What is your relationship with those guys like. And why has it turned out to be so good. I think the biggest thing is. I mean they just they really want to win and so do i. I think whenever you're looking around the league every guy that's that's kind of had some stuff happen this off season..

"You just heard from patrick mahomes entire kill and now we continue on with daniel sorensen followed by willie gay. Here's dan sorenson. How's it going. How's the doorman so far skin. Yeah the kid. Yeah i i do i sleep. Good the defense. Early camp Yeah i think Two perspectives perspectives. One third year in the system. We have a lot of veterans in similar roles of Position for us so a lot of experience in that regards and then a lot of young guys that are filling in nicely stepping up learning the system and making plays going in the same hatred the league in notice. How much see progress. Yeah he's picking up The defense really. Well which is you know. Probably the first hurdle for rookie right as you know the understand the scheme and how to play in the system and he he's done that very well he's he's a high energy high effort guy so He's he's been flying around you know making plays and Yeah and they're giving opportunities to do that. Background efficient yes I know zane from obviously from byu and training there in the summers and whatnot. So it'll come to me and ask questions and you know. I love giving advice and experience passing it along to the next guy everything that i've learned and the experiences that i've had which is a lot And just trying to coach them up when when he runs into something that he's struggling with or need some guidance I've been. I've been trying to help them in that. What is patrick. Train quarterback given. You're probably not gonna see many. Yeah this is this is actually. It's really great for our defensive. Deal to go patrick. And the offense and coach read their scheme and the amount of past plays in the schemes that they draw up. It really challenges us and which is great because we can. We can tighten up. We can adjust. We can focus because we know going into the regular season we might not face such a pass heavy pass. Pass heavy proficient throwing offense So if we if we can get all that working in that that training in now It'll be really good for us. During the season i obviously i got here. This may exceed what you even hopeful that been still around after all these years starting for simple way beyond what you thought you know. I i wouldn't say i put limitations on what my expectations were So i'm just taking it moment by moment enjoying the ride. It's been great. So far. I love it and i look forward to With you know continued to grind and continue to work with this team. And you'll accomplish more we. We've done a lot but we're not done yet. No i talk about football. You got football question. That'd be great that that's kinda out of my wheelhouse three super bowls when you look at yourself on absolutely. There's always room for improvement. There's always things we can get better on it and focus on You know yes. It's everything right like you're not perfect in any any regards. I think Biggest thing is thirty in the system. We got a nail down the details right. When you have success and repeated success it's about being very detail oriented About your scheme and knowing your stuff and so so. That's kind of the focus is taking it to the next level right really polishing up what we do and that's what training camps for relieve trained in. What did you anything come here. Just like that question right like you. Just you just find ways to to do more to detail things a little better. So i'm i'm always trying to look for improvements and it's a lot of things that you do take care of your body but i'm always trying to stay on top of it of wonder from. Let's make from the team. We got a lot of guys on the team out without necessarily beauty. You know. I don't really care to answer that question. If you've got a football question that'd be great. That's the end for you guys. Dave merit green room. He brings a lot of experience coach. Mary he was saying this is like his twenty ninth training camp and so he knows ball He knows how to coach the secondary. And i think what. What's the best thing about coach. Mary's he knows how to encourage guys out to get the best out of them To coach them up in a way that they can they can Improve and Kind of take coaching and take it to the field. So he he's everything for us in the secondary and he he's been a great leader for us respect one tournament. Great success last year nardi so together with three six view and looked beach even better this season. Yeah i think the coach is right The ideas that you use people skill set to their advantage. Right and and i think they. They've done that really well. Putting us in in a position where we can use our strengths to help the defense And you know. I would say everybody's versatile right so we can play multiple positions and so They do a good job of putting us in positions but also allowing us to move around and did you different things. based on our skill set so The coaches do a fantastic job of getting guys in the right spot. Got hurt late last year. What was it like wasn't suck man. I was actually at home. I know kobe started cove visit happening. for some reason i could travel know. Don't be uncomfortable me with the need injury on the plane so being at home having to watch the game and then you know of course losing it is i really just you know committed myself to this year and i really wanted to be a lot different. Feel like oh yeah. I'm good second year. Keeping that confidence is really. We've seen he may highlight bellevue mutual preventable off season. And all these man honestly last year. I'd be honest man. You know you have confidence as a player because maybe doing this your whole life. But we can't prepare like you normally do when you don't get that you get a new playbook competence down allied no so having ta having his good training county where we're at right now man learning even more it up a lot so you know and being grammatically being able to understand his game enough to make plays you know it really helps so recognizing things quickly yours likability..

"Third full team practice up in saint joseph today at missouri western state university and after practice we got to hear from four chiefs. Patrick mahomes wide receiver. Tyree kill safety. Daniel sorensen and linebacker willie gay. So you'll hear from patrick mahomes and tyreek hill. We'll take a quick break and you will hear from daniel sorensen and we'll he gave the first up. Here is the quarterback of the kansas city chiefs. Patrick mumps started a couple years. Back was kind of and then kind of build relationship with the league's The people over there at sporting just loving the way that they they run their business and how they kind of really invested into that team and then my world of soccer Starting with brittany That i really wanted to be a part of it and she had the k- In wwl team. That's hurting and i wanted to do my own thing in a sense and And then always supporting the kansas city community. I mean it's such a big part of the community with the soccer community that we have here so it'd be a part of that. Was something special really over. Yeah that's exactly what it is. The community community has embraced me from day. One when i was on alex and they were support. Analogy still showed me love. Then whenever i came into the starting role l. believed in me and so i wanna show that same love back to the community. They've shown me this entire here. Football your owner of this football team gets out because seventy conversations yet. Fc dallas where we we haven't yet. i don't even. I wouldn't even think about that not until you just said that. But i'm sure there'll be a little little robbery there. I think they play literally like upcoming week. So we'll we'll kind of have a friendly will robbery in that sense. But at the same time i mean he he's a he's a great owner and clark and he's a great guy so just be more nothing more than friendly little robbery. Wide receiver are cheap for. Yeah i mean ways have been able to come in and then really executing is the big thing. Obviously he's super talented He can make the plays but he's been able to jump right in with with our played. Look where you know. Co treat isn't isn't slowly now and he's been able to execute make big plays Making contested catches at someone. Has that speed make contested catches a out on the field goals. Yeah i started that kind of mental health in your mind stuff in college. Kingsbury actually had a coach. Kinda guy come in and talk to me about different things in order to meet the folk how focus. I'll put things in perspective. And i kind of stayed with that. I'm to try to talk to different people. Talk to guys that have been talking to the top of the sports in every sport That have come along and and just learn from them and and then at the end the day at the time that you can enjoy with yourself with your family. And i think that's up in big and that's why all seasons. I do my workouts. And do everything i need to do. But i spend that time because i know when i come here. I'm fully embraced in football. Yeah it's been going. Well i mean. I think this is the best how to do it. Especially gets spags defense for the very multiple throw a lot of different looks at you have to know when you can hold the ball a little longer and take that shot and get the baud your hand and let these guys make plays in blessed enough to have a lot of good players around me so all get the ball in my hands. those guys are usually making things happen. Yeah that's that's a lot of money. I'll say that I knew that it was going up for auction. I found out to go for that much and shows that businesses been growing forever and i remember clutching cards. A little kid with my dad and to see that how it's really blown up these days guys like widely and stuff like that opening those boxes. I it really is a cool thing to see especially when it has your name on it. I'll about all out there. But i mean i don't know the internet of those dues do that may definitely use it as an investment. I'm sure they'll try to sell it later for more money by after good about this. The other day remark that convey that keeping doing a sense. I mean you do in the sense that you're trying to win every single day And that starts out here in training camp. If you i mean every single year i come into it. I'm trying to win every so again. I'm trying to go twenty. No nineteen or whatever it is It's really hard to do this while it has been done. Really one time But at the same time you're trying to go with that mentality of your win every single day so that when you get to those games as you have the best chance to win every single game you said it out loud here and haven't said it out loud here. I mean. I think i here and they understand it but at the same time you gotta keep it in perspective. We understand a long process going throughout this entire season So trying to do whatever we can to win every single day as practiced film room whatever that is put us in the best opportunities..

"The chiefs wrapped up their three day. Mandatory minicamp on thursday and after the fitness test. Put head coach. Andy reid quarterback patrick mahomes and safety and matthew up at the zoom podium. So on this podcast. We will go in that order. you'll hear from the head. Coach will continue on with the quarterback. And we'll finish up with safety tired matthew. The first step here is the head coach of the the chiefs. Andy reid law. Start off the snow injuries to talk about. We'll get to all that once. Get to camp and would enroll from there but for our way Dodgers first adam. Teicher good at a couple of things. I i wanted to get your thoughts on how this portion of the off season what you felt like you got out of otas minicamp. Brattle had a second question is well listen. I told the players said i fly appreciated their attendants During during this time. I will have a lot of new faces so it gave us a great introduction to the office depot special team so Which i thought was was huge for us. And then we'll go ahead and fine tune. Everything was we get up to once we get up to training camp but again. I thought it went. Well adam them. I liked the attitude of the guys that came and ready to work. And that's what they did. They finished up here with a little conditioning drill and they degrade on that so there. They've got a good mindset. As as coaches whipper shaker. Okay and one guy. I've been meaning to ask you about his jerick mckinnon on. What did you guys like about him. How do you see him fitting in to steamy. Give you something that your other backs. Don't give yeah so While he's experienced he's been he's been known that awhile and he does well he he's good. This was more passing camps more than running cash but he has a nice feel of the of the past game and look forward. I i look for to give given the whole package once we once we get up there and let's see we do What what was playing real football next to her. Gop got good morning coach. I very two questions your for your clothes. The first one's kind of follow up on what atom asks. You mentioned a appreciate the players phone. What is your comfort level at this stage heading into training camp when you compare it to last year when you have this portion of the offseason workout program on on these zoom calls as you know i mean can you can install. You can do all that that you talk about. Fundamentals and techniques. But you can't you can't work on and that's just blow it's real So The this gene opportunity actually run the play and work on the fundamentals and techniques and let the players the coaches evaluated evaluated their last season To sit there and help them better with with the again techniques finals it. They might be so. I think it's a win win. I think it's great to have the technology of at the same time. I think it's important that we were still able to get him on the field. And i said this before. I get support of the coaches hamlet. The right way and try to get the players to save as they possibly can that for us that means giving up the right lane game part of it. We did that versus air bags but we. We didn't do it against each other than that. That's what we do. You know so you gotta try to keep them safe as you possibly can include. Finally travis kills you on. Tuesday expressed surprise at some of the comments. That levy on bell me. Are you aware of what was your reaction to that. I really enjoyed my time with a beer so I appreciated the way it handled things and does business and has productive downs for us. And i'm pulling for him in the future. I mean that's how that's how rural people say things they say. Then so i move on. I wish him the best. you know. pete. Sweeney good morning coach. Just because we won't get you now for another month in change here. You'd said patrick mahomes was able to go full because it was a passing salad camp. How much is your expectation with. The dachshund stuff that he's going to be able to be one hundred percent when you running stuff quarterback scrambles out of structure. When you get to camp. That i mean we were. We were cautious with them. He he'll he'll do anything. And so you know it's just a matter that we were. We were smart to be as far as we possibly could with. It and his communication was great. He kept it open with us and we checked with them and make sure and see how he was doing during practices. And not just the first day but you wanna check on third day too so To see how and he made it through thick. This is good for him We'll see how he feels. Once we get up to camp. He sure got a lot of work. Done here came out film. Forget next a man mullet goodman coach clyde yesterday and he said at one area to prove this offseason passing game as a receiver. How much coach you appreciate it. When a young player comes with a specific thing they want to work on yeah. I think that's good. You know we. We didn't have a huge expanded role for him in the past game. Just kinda Swing of the defenses at the. Nfl plays in all but run plays that we have the rows away. Didn't have the time everybody but we've tried to give them a little bit more this offseason and he's handled it well before to get him of training camp where we can keep on in.
