"I'm Patrick Osborne topping Austin's news another order comes down for governor Greg Abbott this time shutting down all bars across the state local bar owner Bob woody with the Texas bar nightclub alliance says the impact of the second shutdown could make the first one look like small potatoes across Texas back when that took place I would say that there was hundreds it did not come back and now with this going into place I think we'll get into the house I do what he says this wasn't unexpected because the governor said he would do this if the numbers got too high and while he is hopeful the industry will fully rebound at some point until that happens he does expect the unemployment rate to spike once again despite the Texas medical association calling recent protest quote breeding grounds for corona virus Austin mayor Steve Adler doesn't believe that they had much impact on local transmission he says the protests were outside so they were safe and it's the small business community that happens most of the blame upon what we saw in the bars for example where people are inside and on top of one another and not wearing masks and they're sticking a lot of criticism for defying its own local state home order and attending the protest now this is the issue of equality was too important not to attend as the number of younger adults contracting coronavirus jumps up across Travis county infections of people at the opposite end of the age spectrum or slowing down health authority Dr mark Escott says that's been seen most abundantly with a nursing home we have a you know four five off of this list because they've gone four weeks without any new cases we have four additional ones that are are given a job also list next week off the public health at the rate of positive test is dropped for nursing home staff members but it's dropped even more significantly among the residents themselves and a new limit on gatherings is in effect once again for Travis county outdoor events can be no larger than one hundred people ask for small groups they're not limited to no more than ten Elijah.

"Morning I'm Patrick Osborne topping Austin's news president trump says the nation is entering a new front in the fight against corona virus opening up America again the president's laying out a roadmap for governors to reopen their states a three phase approach that would study whether easing up on restrictions in each phase leads to a virus resurgence we are not opening all at once but one careful step at a time with these three meaning a return to normalcy the guidelines suggested that would take a month at the earliest in some areas it could be a lot longer in others it will be up to governors to make their own calls Sager make ani Washington Texas politicians are pretty pretty well represented on president trump's task force for re opening the economy senators John Cornyn and Ted Cruz are joined on the task force by Texas congressman Henry Cuellar Kevin Brady on a conference call with reporters senator Cornyn said more testing needs to precede reopening until we have a huge surge of additional testing capacity this is going to be a constraint Korean takes the FDA's newly approved antibody testing is also a key to re opening which will determine what you have the antibodies which when you've been exposed to cope with nineteen in your cupboard and develop community I think that's going to be a key pillar in our re opening the economy Chris fox news radio que LBJ Greg Abbott will unveil his plan today to restart Texas economy he's only given a tease of what he plans to do but at noon is expected to fill in all the blanks Abbott says he knows you're chomping at the bit to get back to work but it won't be as simple as just flipping the lights back on this is not going to be a rusty gates everybody is able to suddenly open all at once state lawmakers have sent a letter to him this week urging him to lift restrictions and give more power back to local municipalities on the other side of groups like the Texas medical association still warn of opening too fast in the Texas American federation of teachers says schools should stay closed until the fall I mean time to close down Austin businesses are preparing to reopen under new guidelines this young steakhouse owner Phillip brown tells CBS Austin if they did open up fully he'd worry about the coronavirus kicking back up again but in the meantime they are working on a way to resume some form of operations we just don't know exactly what that's gonna look like we're prepared we've been buying masks for police to where if that's going to be one of the stipulations other businesses like birds barbershop say they're working on ways to make sure it sold we'll distancing can still take place by speaking up a barber chairs and seats in there waiting area John Cooley newsradio kale BJ still no movement in Congress as the small business relief fund is now tapped out the small business administration says it reached the three hundred forty nine billion dollar maximum for the lending program after approving nearly one point seven million loans but thousands who are left have to wait for Congress now to approve another relief package waiting for two hundred fifty billion dollars in fusion lawmakers have been haggling over whether to extend the program as it stands were add provisions that would help minority businesses and medical workers business owners who are left in limbo are getting more anxious and some complained that banks weren't even set up to take their applications even though the program started nearly two weeks ago Jackie Quinn Washington another long time stable of Austin's dining scene is having to close its doors for good magnolia cafe says it's lake Austin Boulevard location will be no more after forty one years in operation the owners say after taking such a big hit from covert nineteen they had to accept that the location just can't survive thousands of people are out of work in Austin Walgreens though says it's looking to hire two hundred and fifty people in the Austin area the film roles in customer service and this pharmacy technicians some of the positions are full time others are part time in Walgreens says it has sped up the hiring process and Austin public health says Travis county has now eclipsed the one thousand mark for total number of coronavirus cases are now one thousand twenty nine and one new death reported bringing that total to eighteen two hundred one people though have made recoveries and it is five thirty four take a look at Austin's on time traffic as you might expect nothing happening out there on the roads right now we don't have the crashes of stalls or construction really everything is moving very well right now on this Friday morning let's get a look at your news radio cable B. "Am Patrick Osborne he is mark Spada you can tell we're not to cut down will be back have no fear January second is that day but until that mark and I will be feel and I will be out tomorrow will be January first of the on that you've got us all the way through early part of next year before we went to the break we were talking about some Christmas Christmas related stuff and and that the Christmas day is one of the biggest movie watching days are the but what the biggest day for people to go to the theater to see movies of the year and we kind of wanted to know what what movies are you looking at this year you are you planning to hit the theaters it's not something that I typically do I I was not elaborating a little bit as to why don't really go to movie theaters these days but it's been a long time but I know a lot of people are going to be hitting it of course we have some big big movies that are coming out including the rise of sky Walker I believe that's what it is already being panned as one of the worst Star Wars movies made in this is by critics this is not Patrick Osborne saying this so don't attack me like you did yesterday when I said that the last great Star Wars movie was return of the jet I which by the way it was but but critics are panning does not know when you look around tomatoes it's kind of a there's despair to you got to critics saying is awful you got the band saying this is a great this is a great aeration of of Star Wars but there are plenty of other movies out there and we want to know what what's on your agenda for the week but on the on the topic of movies it mark you know that we are heading into a brand new decade we are so high I've run across a list here from Rolling Stone of of all the magazines the ten worst movies of two thousand nineteen I'm not sure how many of these I've seen how many of you've seen that I thought I might bounce some of these off the and see what you think number ten on the list is last Christmas and it's it's a and in the just a blend of holiday rom com ago story was zero chemistry lovers and zero reason to exist that's again I said that's how Rolling Stone described last Christmas see that one no I didn't have this and I don't want to spoil the the punch line here but I have a feeling of privacy in any of these but keep on going because I'm in the theater I haven't either I think a number nine glass unbreakable by what happens to M. night Shyamalan jams the characters from split I'm sorry she's called glass and he says well it jams the characters and split and unbreakable into one doubled up sequel the call in incoherent god awful mess now here's one I didn't see but the previews look good number eight a list is midway director Roland Emmerich they say depicts this crucial World War two naval battle by bombing us with cardboard characters and phony FX they say it's a bomb all right boys second is that it that so that's a remake of the original midway them or is it some kind of those to receive on a some kind of a a I don't know if it's a remake organs just another movie about the battle of midway okay but it looked good in the in the previous you know what I saw I am I am I catch that when it comes on I never did but I have you know it caught my eye at least interesting to win we watch exit the original one is pretty good flick but that's you know that's who I am therefore your honor how many arrests are solved the check that one out there because I love a good World War two yeah it's a good it's a good war movie in fact that's one of the reasons that I I am so enthralled right now the ship you blinders it's not World War two but you know post World War one and the impact of the a lot of history there are lots of history is a that's a great show by the way if you want to be blunders I take on my story you're gonna love it number twelve a number seven on the list rather twenty one bridges another move and I've heard twenty one bridges I don't know I've definitely heard that I haven't seen it though Chadwick Boseman which you they say shut down New York catch drug dealers and dirty cops they say too bad he didn't shut down is no thrills thriller instead ouch and harsh I never six this is the one I'm a big zombie movie fan and I was disappointed this is on the list the dead don't die in fact I also part of this movie hate it had an ensemble cast Bill Murray was in it it was not good there was a meandering store they had no point and it was very indie film giant Jim Jarmusch never ever screws up they say but this call is Abu comedy says otherwise they say what the heck happened how these movies get you know a little bit of of some focus groups ahead of time so people know whether or not you think users know they're good movies I mean you think that all get a little bit of a a taste before they hit the air I think they do I mean you know they they must live through these and then they'll they'll send it back and terrible the audience didn't react well this but they really reacted will this take that out play this up yeah but I don't know like maybe these audiences just don't really have their fingers on the pulse of US I don't know a it's it I it's a good question because I wanted at all how did this make it to the focus yeah he's off where did you go Bernadette sweet Cate Blanchett's rah Austin's own Richard Linklater apparently directed that would never heard of it Mansell second I had never heard of it the gold French on number four on the list most are cast goes down in flames was arguably the worst literary adaptation in decades according to Rolling Stone the only thing I'm learning so far as I don't get out enough them getting out like us and so for these movies I never climbed out of my required to get to the movie theater recliner almost to number one which I think everybody is at least heard of in this may surprise you but number three German I'm an Oscar winning director Angelique get so caught up in making Will Smith a digitalized younger version of himself he forgets to craft a whole watchable movie I will smoke but then once one I like Will Smith a lot I watch a lot of his movies lately I I'll always divert back to the fresh prince days that's my favorite well last time I saw the movie was the one I can't remember that hitched it's was last was pretty yeah I think I something like a match made yeah that was that one with bad I want to see the last one I really remember watching was was he was the last guy on earth he added the German shepherd I think his name was John legend I am legend I am legend yeah I am okay that was pretty good our number two on the list is the kitchen it's got a Melissa McCarthy Elisabeth moss Tiffany had ishe they apparently or the rolling stones as they bury their talents in a misbegotten seventies mobster movie that's the real true criminal offense another one the number one heard of it number one a list I did hear about double the number all as we've all heard of this one his number one the worst days right this was the worst movie of of twenty nineteen a line K. what John fab rose photo realistic ripoff of Disney's nineteen ninety four animated classic reps a toxic trend it's a corporate product minus heart soul and any hint of originality all right sorry okay run tomatoes here I did see that one did you actually liked it I did see the movie but I I saw the original nineties cartoon well it it follows a cartoon but of course it's it's made input but technologies make a look real I thought it was fun are those fun it looked fun I I I think it to me it's it with a story like that it's hard to it's hard to top the original sure I didn't really think remake was necessary but I didn't I didn't expect that it would be it would make a list of the worst knowledge no shock that will be of twenty nineteen well that's the only John Wiley and they're looking at me like he's he's perplexed by that as well funny that that's that's the worst one considering that's the only one I saw on a lecture I guess I don't represent the heartbeat of the critic your I need either you door I represent the heartbeat of the creek a fairly good because of of all the the the movies on this list I'm not sure actually I I saw the dead don't die and that's it I've heard of only maybe to the others what's one of things about asking somebody about movies that they've seen you almost have to make sure it's some it's kind of the same fabric as you because otherwise somebody else I love that I love that movie and you find that out for me I it's it's a how is it people taste movies are are interesting because so often all also of find a a movie or TV show that I just get absolutely enamored by up you have to watch this yeah everybody I show it to like kind of sucked yeah a little bit really paralegals as you write about Austin powers I was homeless in his grades movie since sliced bread you know for me as I was okay so you know we always had different tastes yeah yeah as as is apparent by the fact that we are are a few movies in a few Netflix special you know our talk about awhile ago that are just everybody loves him I think there's one the unit that you've brought up and I'm not in my head immediately is ladders nope breaking bad breaking bad I've never met a person in like breaking bad breaking bad it was it was I. they've they've rarely did anything wrong in breaking bad that the the the writer salvage Vince Gill inviting the acting the scenery the story line a line waiting the way it ended I mean everything was just in harmony right and like I was saying this is I I won't spoil it for you if you haven't seen the finale but this is one of the few that television finales of a show that was this watch that the vast majority of people said beginning that is exactly how this distortion of it you know it wasn't like Seinfeld right or any of these other big shows where we were very disappointed by the way that it should have ended this was the and the way it is that you were you were good it was like your okay conclude you kind of missed it because you know you're binging was alright right you're like oh November breaking bad but you're okay because it was the right way to say goodbye and did you did you see the movie the.
