"Do you guys have favorite little guys because little guys can be so cute and even ugly only gives a little more power true. There's like and i'm sure due to your guys level of online nece. There's probably some me mick little guys that you've loved but do you have any sugar. Gliders is an old favorite of mine. I that a person who had one when i was like eleven and it was just the cutest craziest thing and the fact that someone had it made. It seem like it was attainable. Okay you know meter heroes number meet. A sugar glider truly insane animal that like. How does it exist. If you don't pettit enough nice enough to get saddened and dies. Like i always come to life. It's truly a little avatar of a creature with bush babies right feel. I feel like sugar gliders and bush. Babies are really a lot of people's introduction to the little guy universe where i'd like to the most famous little guy was like just i remember seeing on some show. A sugar glider jump from the corner of a room into a dude's breast pocket. And it's just like burned into my head is like i'll also we're of the generation and even if you're younger than me which i think you all are but the generation of where monkeys were in everything like how many wise and like every movie. Every tv show had a monkey. Doing something vaguely human and wearing vaguely human. I energy yeah. He's constantly check again. He was playing third base ago position. He played with matt leblanc played. I think the cute chimp movement got like we're nearly two years. We're chimps like wouldn't stop ripping people's fix all. There was like a monkey heyday in the nineties. And then a chip ripta lady's face off in connecticut. Kind of i feel like by the way. That was the fiftieth face. Ripped off by like an entertainment chimp. First one. That was not covered up by like hollywood. Er people like how many fucking like budding celebrities that were maybe about to blow up had their faces ripped off by a monkey and then they get like forty grand a year from warner brothers to work in the music department and keep their mouths. Shut you in a now. There's a ball. Suppressing the information about monkeys or faces off. How many people got a visit from josh berlin. From hail caesar in in the hospital with no face right. Here's a briefcase full of money meeting. I gotta go to yeah. Yeah i'm thinking little guys now. I like there's like all timers like your sugar breast pocket. Sugar glider the. It's always with you and then there's like recent little guys were like some. You've been one that's been on your mind as of late because i know me and patio big time. Red wall fans from back in the day. And if you ever but madame. Aol all-time low guy a mouse. Who's a night. That's great stuff. So yes yes yes. I know what you're talking. I rather they're doing the show doing a netflix show. I think i forget but That's that's exciting to me. That was that was a big. That was a big one for me when i was a kid for sure because it was like walking around and like eating like little feasts Versus shit cordial. I just wanna. I just wanna can. I like morph into this. I want to be in this scenario. i don't wanna. I don't wanna do math homework. I wanna live at the end. Read while abby and drink drink current or whatever what is that about like We want to be small so badly. Honey i shrunk. The kids is so exciting going into the space and now there's also like a full size and now i'm pretending i just found out about it. There's a huge sub-genre of porn with like shrunken. Little dudes being picked up by their shirts and shit by giant women. Don't ask ask allah giant woman a couple of times you start finding weirder stuff than you originally. Were trying to find that to start with the video for miserable with emily anderson where she eats them all because that feels like that was started with. I mean i think it is sort of a nate. But there's attack of the fifty foot woman ever seen that movie full on written by someone who just has a fetish for giant ladies like that. And then i but i do feel like that video. Probably was an awakening for a lot of people around our age of she hulk one yes she zena where wasn't growing hoc animated rogan and she. Hulk wasn't from a time. Anyone was like giving a shit about like representation in comics so like there is no reason there. Like we need to broaden this out. It was one guy that was like what if the hulk was a lady. Really cool what. The hulk had hips and tits. I dunno pal but get back in there curvy. Let's see what you come up with a sick fuck enjoy man. You're we're gonna rip you off. Excelsior owner red walls alzheimer's think another all-time time or big time. All time is the soot sprites from spirit away a little boys in higher miyazaki enchant. There's this kind of little guys all over the place in that i mean like dino frog the frog is not a good guy but the little frog run around and and i would say that like even though. They're not little spiritually the the little chicks that sit in the french onion crocs and had the little bass those feel like little guy. Oh yeah even other big guys you get little guy in a bass could death. One of my alzheimer's is copied peres. Yes let's say in the hot springs with the little yuzu like citrus in their little spa. Very little guy in a bath. One of the monkeys of hot springs in japan lava hot springs stuff. I think you also touch on an important thing when in little guy lower. Which is that. you don't really have to be little. It's kind of a small but they have very strong little guy energy the fluffier you have to be. Yeah you kind of it. That's part of it. I i did natured by nurture out here where you swim with. The otters pool and it was insanely expensive and worth every team. I signed up with an eleven month. Wait i went with my wife and friends and it was fucking riot. And i'm a little guy fan as we're discussing even more. I'm like being in the water. Fan like as a lifelong fat dude. Waters the great equalizer. I'm concert off as fast as people in the water. I don't hurt as much in the water motherfucker sweating as much. Because i'm in the water of anyone else steamed part up these offers were the fucking cutest. They were like be careful. They will go down your bathing suit and try to come out another part of it. And i was like a thing. And the other thing that they're obsessed with these other specifically maybe all others but they like to take a cup filled up with marbles they come over they knock it out of hand spill the marbles all over then you hold the cup back up and they bring all the marble back and put them in the cup fa cup and then go all right and then they knock it out of your hand again That for a week with no sleep. Dude i did it. They were like you have to get out now. Rooney house like we. It was a two hundred dollars a head and it's like a two hour. It's a highly recommend if you're on the west coast natured by nurture the book showing advanced. Because it's a mako. Wish place for kids but on the weekends drift..

"Just push off him and then they're like i'm scott to you and they had to make a rule where they're like. You can't do this swamping dude. You can't be like this nasty. That's like how kimba slice in all those backyard fight videos. He would like oil himself. So people grapple so You would just watch these dudes go to grab it and be like arms would slip on the look on their faces second. They're like well. I thought it'd be able to grab them. This guy's huge and he's mad slippery. Oh oh in. That movie bronson. Tom hardy does that. Show to like rubs that oil on his body gets fully naked. And it's just like bring it on. I think there's a fight between kimba slice and the sticky man. I wanna see how in that role this is. I believe the kimba slice dying. I don't know if something bad happened. Just like But a him dying was like against what was supposed to happen because he was built and born to beat the shit out of jake paul and died before he could. It's like leaving bill. Find like a vase with like cambo sliced beating the show. Jake paul on it. And they'll be like didn't like the whole universe is out of whack. That's why everything that's happened. The last two years is because chaos couldn't defeat. The great battle never happens now. We're have to go back in time and stop kim busloads from dying. Whatever might have caused his death. He's done everything right. I got you buddy to get back into your childhood bedroom and have the air. The airplane engine hit you. Actually there's no easy like you can't find the convergence point of like go to save you gotta spend twenty years with them and you really put in a lot more effort than you ever put it on your own. Thank the you gotta get him to like knock. It slammed into concrete. Parking dividers in street fights for like fifteen to twenty years. That was kind of the big thing if you do too. Good a job. He won't even get started fighting. So you have to ask you end up jake. Paul gets even more powerful because there is no kimba slice at all so yeah. There's only a professor slice. Usc the poetry professor. Mr slice still dresses the exact same way. I mean his name. His real name francis camera or something like that too. It's it's francis kim or something like that. Yeah it's king though kimba slice fahd. Really the answer's yes you gotta get butterbean at a retirement green. I talk about the strongest men in the world. Yeah butterbean butterbean is not afraid to take someone out in like a stunt fight like the there was the there was the wwf. One two in. I forget what was called a tough enough knows called them brawl for all and there was a guy that was supposed to win on the on the wrestling side. Were they having a boxing match wrestlers and it was his doctor desi williams and he got beaten by kind of a nobody barked gun and then he started fighting butterbean and butter be knocked him out where he looked like he was dead and he hit the roof. That was that it was like fifteen seconds. Okay real boxer is a real people. Don't understand that like as someone who's been punched in the face at bars several times in my life i've been punched in the face by people who have thrown punches in training and by people who haven't there is a market difference kimba slice. You could be patty mode. But if you've thrown enough hands fucking stinkier much by a real by butterbean who's like to sixty five punching a wrestler. He's got to be more mad. We won't get it but and it solid mountlake. The shape looks fat. But i think it's like if you did like a cross section like a hamburger you'd be like this is just circular muscles last even twenty percent body fat if you're three hundred pounds percent body fat. That's all of his punches. Or like when you're doing that charge up. Move in a video game if you hit. It's huge but it's harder to hit because he's not like super fast with one like lights out it's over switch like not the butterbean. He's like the real life zangari right real life. You're choosing him because it's like one hit your knocked out. It's like i hope he gets one hit. I'll go also. I think the butterbean could knock out captain. America like if it was permeable with captain. America vs water being. I'd be like. I don't think the odds would be like that's cute. I took into the marvel universe as the super soldier serum. Why are we giving it to the scrawny freaks. Give it to the already insane athletes of little guys. We want guys. But if you're not a little guy be the biggest guy knows. One between sox are i am not into it. I does this so many times about dating. Men like five five five six great. Don't care five. Nine worst height hated hated. Five nine five ten boring sorry attack. I just feel like short man get so much it. It's like no. Don't be an interesting height bigger really small more interesting. How dare you gotta get back to you. A bagel boss height man video five four. Give you a more interesting height for sure but that might be brutal for other research well. Catholics heights interesting now but no one has got me in their search terms. Dude that is like i think about it. Why do they get the super bowl this year to like the skinniest guy could find what the biggest psychopaths. They had a hunch that he was a good guy. Yes the hardest assault. Oh yes the military is really. They really value. Someone's moral standing. they should. He showed that he wouldn't in the training. He stuffed his shoes of newspapers so he was tall enough and he kept trying to enlist and all that stuff and this guy really wants to kill people who this guy into the military. My god. i'm not gonna. I'm not gonna get into this america. This is making me mad. At least at least he was able to stop hydra but let the nazis continue with the holiday. That's what i love him at the movies like they made it hydrates so we have to stop hydrants. Can't we just make nazis. Bad guys still like I mean maybe. We don't have to mention exterminating jews in the marvel movie. But you should have nazis. I think part of the reason why people are being are becoming. Nazis again is that they're not bad guys in enough stuff anymore. The power shit. All this stuff is like weird terrorist and asian. Everyone thinks it's corporations and terrorists and no one's like fucking bad dudes still don't yes they are. Let's just fucking make them bad guys does again. Do they have didn't have this problem with the minions to where it was like. Get a of anything for like the world war two because they always worked for the worst guy right so the minions took recently called shock troops like bring some some fun goofs with the levers and the showers trying to stack up to be able to reach them. As i'm usually on the podcast are not allow these things. You're still the only joined the podcast. But i'm not allowed to say he's not jewish. She's just from long island. Exactly that's my that's my. I've just been the eighty s mitzvahs. Bods mitzvahs maybe danta fucking temple. I dunno whatever they do down there the fucking shuna in south america. Bro back to little guys..

"In point break own surfing bank robbery gang fight. Anthony keates finally bruin since fuck in aeroplane. I think the thing we have in common is our future lives both involve us meeting. Hunks whole life has been geared towards trying to meet as as long. I i mean we could talk for hours because i have like a classic. I like big male hunks but let's shrink it down to little hunter info for new drop. One of the words. I learned last week in. Japanese class is a machine and mucci my japanese teacher. Who's a japanese guy said. It means bug but he gave us a bunch of examples of a movie. She and he said a snail was a mucci and there was something else like a crab. That doesn't seem right. That's not those aren't bugs. And so i looked it up and apparently it's it's like there's a different word for insect mucci is basically like guy like oh nice it's like critter it. Oh calf you just said the match. I was just gonna say me and my wife are magic. Word is critter like yeah say critter. We mean that's type of adult could be a critter. A spider can be a critter. Like that's but it has to have critter energy or yeah she energy. Those are the evil. As critter is good. Creature is an evil critter eva critter. I'm glad to learn this word. Jellies are so great at like. They're like you didn't know you needed to work for this but here you go. I do want to clarify. Because i don't want anyone to get mad that like so the reason it's kind of little guy is in like a older. It's sort of an old japanese word and it was basically like things are furry or they fly or they're in the or they swim in the ocean and if they're not one of those things they're mucci like there's birds there's like furry stuff there's fish and then everything else is a mucci bugs all that all critters. They're classifying stuff like like from the book of genesis like by what day exactly a fly trapped criticize. I mean you've got to think it's like herbs at the end of your dish. Alison romaine style. Just snip some bays on sniffs graders and drop them across gussied ending of life. If you're on that train you believe in the one. I'm deputy god or whatever it's like you gotta know. When they knocked out the lady they were like oh hell outta pretty good that we made a book that no one is grossed out by. Yes we we made a bug universally loved but is also poisonous perfect. I had one in my beard leaving the beach the other day and my wife my wife was like i can't believe i'm seeing this just stopped moving and it was like i was like i thought it was like this is content. I would be a king of elite beer. And now mike now i have to like seek this out. I'm gonna have like a stylised place. Ladybugs like mia sake character. You lady bucks in your bare. Was the lady bug giving you like instructions and like telling you about the castle because be like that's when you find that's not a lady bug lady is like i'm a prince but i was changed by the witch and then you say actually turned into a very short woman who looks like a character Ed falco oh shit. That's good news for me as someone who on this sopranos rewatch who i. I watched it when i was eighteen. Nineteen when it was first out. And then i watch it again. This past pandemic and man was a little furio and christopher kid and now i'm a fucking row and Carmella man. Like that's how i knew i became a man is because i'm like adriana great character but i'm here because i care about carmelo mom's not realize what you have hate. You hate fathering ten tola for different reasons. He just taking advantage over. He's about our. It's one of those like just the perspective change of aging. Like i always think like the biggest one eighty. Everybody does is on graffiti. Where like when when you're in high school graffiti walls don't belong to anyone man analogous i graffiti so like this business is going to have to clean this up like i don't know like i argue that there's three tiers of that and then you flip back around where you're like. This is actually interesting. Local art like you eventually get that hit that i hit that when i realized i'll never piece of property rights. Wherever you fucking thing. I've ever owned. I'm talking to you guys. On what if they graffitied your microphone non and now i look to cool. People are gonna let down when they actually start hearing me on the pot. Well if it's good graffiti than maybe it eventually means you know it'll it'll flip and someone wealthier than you will by the laptop from you. Internet supreme written on the backers limited edition. Now you hire a cool artists like detect companies used to do and he can do graffiti on your laptop. It'll be eight hundred dollars instead of whatever. They paid the guy who do the facebook offices. Yeah here we need to boost morale. It'd be better if people were here for twelve hours a day but you know with like a robot behind them what if we let them play ping pong for fifteen minutes. Then they'll work sixteen hour days. And what if we convince them that the people that they work with are their friends than they don't have to try to maintain social lives outside of here and he's like not going full socialist already. We should be talking little guys the little robot we're trying to work your ping pong ping pong plus open concept offices. Who would ever want that ever knowing. Sound and instantly your sharp sorry like having.

"Insanely attracted to the woman in the second one the game affected me because she's fourteen in the first one so on the second by the second one. I'm talking not even about the main character. The super buffalo on his murderer problematic. I didn't want to pivot to hard into video games. Just immediately leave. Cath out of the whole thing. I just remember. Because i got one of the refurbished ones game stop and after i got it i was like of all the things that i know that someone has used before. I really don't want like because i was like. Is this some weird fourteen year olds. Ps four that was like you know just like in that energy a room. Like i don't want that one. How much to generalize when i got to use it now going to the funk hsi-wei of my apartment during this this energetically like just full of like undiluted testosterone into my home might be better to bring like a haunted doll. Fourteen year olds refurbished. These things even wanting those. I tweeted about it so you know. Don't call me you tweeted. I the new instagram thing that they've been advertising is vintage anime shirts. And i'm like. I do not want to buy a fucking anime shirt. That was worn by anime. Dude are you kidding me like there could not be a worse shirt to me like. Oh you want this goku shirt. And like i know who wore goku shirts wrestling shirts of like. I don't know that as a guy who wears both anime an wrestling shirts. I donate all my clothes like a good boy. But i warn the lady at out of the closet wanted to set the shit on fire. I think you'd be five or are there some vince addressing shirts. That go for so much money. And it's like i get the cool people wear them now but like this shirt was not worn by someone. Who's like you would wanna have skin-to-skin contact with was also. It'd be so bombed to give like the type of guy who has ricky. The dragon steamboat vintage shirt. Two thousand dollars with that fucking. He's not sending it to his ex wife and kids like he's supposed to be definitely figure figure out a way to flip that on the street brawl despite volcano in a playstation four. That's when everything gets fully legalized game. Stop should just be a head shop. We know they already do all the head shop stuff because they got games. Fourteen year olds. Hang hanging hanging out in there all the time. They've got like head shops. It down a full energy. just start selling. Don't feel comfortable in there like it's just as a guy who loves weed and video games. Both places are so dreadful to me. I have. I have a bit about this. About how like. It's so weird. 'cause like i love to smoke like i smoke all the time and people who like. We'd are very vibe conscious and yet the vibe of head shops is so malevolent. It's like it doesn't feel like it feels like you're in the back of a van. It doesn't feel like you're in a business. It's very another weird like link. Most headshots. I've been in sort of feel like you're inside a gaming pc because there's like led's everywhere sounds fans and coolants. I made the grid working alienware. Fifty one hundred see navidi g four seventy two and it feels like they're bullying me 'cause they're like i'm like i don't know i don't care how much we do smoke like there don't need to be this many kinds of papers like i don't know what the fuck is going on. It's like a coffee machine. They're like. Do you want to cones. And i'm like i want the small paper a little little little paper. Yes we're square. Roll royce sugar. No mill yup. I was just in austin. And i had to go into a head shop and like this is already kind of how every business in austin every business in austin operates like head shops and other parts of the country all legitimate businesses. Sort of feel a little bit like a head shop so the head shops there feel like totally insane so like i walk in. There's like five or six people congregating right outside the door. And i like walk pass and go in and there's no one in there and i realized that those people all work at this head shop and i waited in there for. I'm not exaggerating. Like probably ten minutes before one of them came in. It's like how i was wrong. Me your in house rogan. Was it as fun as doing and mighty great. I think we really got to the bottom of your next. Which i think is going to be big. That's a big special. It's my credit now was thinking about because it was like you know he's ever present on the internet and the new resident evil came out and i was like if geragos and busted out of a house in a resident evil. I wouldn't be like he shouldn't be in there like this is also someone he's gonna explode. He's gonna get the virus on me. But forty percent of the people who coded the resident evil have listened to every single minute of the joe. rogan pod. Don't want that's why the mansion you're in the game looks like the inside of a barbecue restaurants. The man live in the new residents octagon slash. Tgi fridays he records out of them. I saw it gave us. I don't know when you left new york. But i'm if you remember this place his the pictures of his studio somebody said. Why does this only a barbecue restaurant. And it looks specifically like the hell's kitchen location of the justin timberlake barbecue restaurants southern hospitality. I missed. I missed now on. That one was maybe app. Said that like if you were in new york when this restaurant existed you would definitely he might know he might be my. I got rejected from the downtown bar. That has the steel bowl in it. Because when i went up to the bouncer. This is all coming back to me. 'cause this when you said we were talking about the place that i think. Joe rogan studio. Looks like is that place that has the it's called like it might be called mason dixon line or some shit like new york and i remember getting rejected after a rugby match in their house. Like my wife's like why won't you let my husband. Because he's pissed himself he's got pissed all over what's going on. I argue with the bouncer. She's defending him and the guys soaked in facing. I looked down and i had fully pissed. My pants was like all of shorts on soaked through my shorts all over my legs and no idea. i'm screaming. Why would you do this shit all that. I don't wanna go to those embarrassing like where it looks like chaps but it's pierce instead of leather liam neeson's shit thank. You just got hit so hard. You pissed now i just was so blasted think i think i my friends were like you said you peed by the car so i think i had like an absolute misalignment of where my your e was one of those like. Oh my dick is out. So i can kind of look around new york city and acting conspicuous but really my dick is in my pants. And i'm only taking a twenty four beer piss trying to look nonchalant. Oh you just forgot the most important step. You're like. I'm going to go piss by that. Cargo book just watches. You stand by the car this. You're really how. Am i supposed to wipe the end or pull it out in the beginning. This doesn't seem like what other people do this. This is cool. All right i really. That's not a type of story of the also. Expect there to be a wife. That's on your side in your fucking psycho. We're no longer on the same side. It's been a crazy year. "The bad guy. I'm the enemy. But people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. Well, they're heroes. By the way, Speaking of Jesse Jackson, I was just reading something about him. There's a singer named Billy Paul. And Billy Paul had a song out in the seventies called Let's Make a Baby. And it was about people getting together and let's make a baby. And Jesse. Very good song, by the way, but the message? Yeah. Jesse Jackson was livid. Criticize a song. Talked about the bad morals. Fast forward. This guy has a kid outside of wedlock pregnant mistress in the Oval Office when he was ministering to Bill Clinton. Remember that? Al Sharpton. Mousetrap is the man. I bet you the guy that called me loves him some sharpness. Member Whitney Houston. She was traumatized because many people in the black community thought her music was too white. I spoke with Della Reese, who is a close friend of the Whitney Houston family once. And I told her that I felt that the reason Whitney Houston began going out with Bobby Brown and started doing drugs because she wanted to make herself more somehow more acceptable to people that were criticizing her for being too white. And she told me I was right. Guess who was one of those who criticized her for being too white Al Sharpton. Al Sharpton called her Why d Houston, look it up. I'm the bad guy. This poor girl's traumatized because she's not accepted by the black community and one of the so called leaders is referring to her as Whitey Houston, but Larry Elder Tim Scott, Candace Owens, We're the bad guys. Welfare state destroys the family. Incentivized women to marry. The government allows men to abandon the financial responsibility not just in the black unity, Hispanic community white community as well. 25% of white kids and now born outside of wedlock, the same number that triggered that book called The Negro family a case for national action that came out in 1965 by a left wing guy named Daniel Patrick Monahan. He said, 25 per cent is outrageous. Gonna have all sorts of social consequences. We need to do something about that fast forward 25% of white kids and now born outside of wedlock, anybody talking about that? You'll be for it. Come on, Jesse Jackson went off went off on the song. Oh, my God, low morals, encouraging people to get together without any kind of commitment without being married. This fast forward. Guess who had the kid outside of wedlock and brought the pregnant mistress to the White House is a photograph of her hold up. But somebody coming.

"There has been in the last couple of generations. This is again a perverse you might say, side effect of affluence. People can choose where they live to a degree that wasn't true. Historically, people live where work was where they had New Orleans where their family was. But now people can have tremendous discretion about where they could take up residence and increasingly We've been. We are now living in places where we're surrounded by like minded friends and neighbors. And that's what Bishop calls the big sort. So this leave you with a few numbers about this in 1980 the presidential election in 1980. A number of what are called landslide counties. That is counties where the separation of the two candidates in the vote count was less was probably more than 20%, where one candidate won by more than 20%, the percentage of counties of those 3100 counties that were last like counties with overwhelming majorities. For one part of the other was 13%. In 2000, the number of last line counties again where one party of the other one by more than 20% was 19% in 2020. Election just past the number of landslide counties where the county voted by more than 20% 1 way or the other either red or blue was 50%. So in the last couple of decades that recently we have sorted ourselves out. Thanks to the principle of home awfully to live with like minded people, and we don't hear views and daily conversation or on social media or through whatever our media outlets her that disagree with their different very much from our own. So we are powerful. He reinforced in our Pre existing political situations and I have this has this is kind of a gratuitous point. Not about polarization. So much as political realignment again Popular Prince lately of informed us that to a lot of people surprise, Donald Trump made significant inroads into African American Hispanic or Latino Latina ex populations in particularly in the southeast in Florida and around in the real Randy Valley, But here's another recently to me, at least recently demonstrated fact that tells us we are living in who knows whether is reversible or not. Significant political Real M. Go back to that county level analysis again. There are my calculation analysis in out of the 3000 plus American counties there about 265 265 counties, where at least 40% of the workforce is blue collar. So these are counties that historically would have been part of the fabled New Deal Democratic Coalition safe for the Democratic Party 265 counties, where at least 40% of the workforce. Is identified as blue collar of those 265 counties. The Democratic candidate Joe Biden won 15 15. Now that tells me something pretty robust about how working class voters are trending toward the party that historically it was not the party of the working class. The Republican Party and that bespeak some kind of deep seismic shift that seems to me and the political orientation of our society and our political future. Well, thank you, David. That perfect. Ending for this first of our hopefully many discourses on the future of democracy, and one of our challenges will be picking our fax. You know, getting making sure we are open minded and making sure that we present all sides of a question, but that we don't present so many sides of a question that we are discussion becomes kaleidoscopic. You remember Daniel Patrick Monahan's famous victim. You're entitled to your own opinions, but not to your own facts. Exactly, Um, it Z homily that resonates but difficult to apply and in human discourse of teams. So, David, I want to thank you very much for a wonderful introduction. What you've given us a sense of how we have to look back to where we started and how we originally conceptualized. Just, uh Country in order to discuss where we're going from here with the vector from today for we're.

"Look forward to seeing you there. Thank you, Dr Adams. We will now invite Dr Parker to start his opening statement. And he will also have twenty minutes. Thank you very much. I won't use my full twenty minutes delayed delight to be here. Happy to share the stage with professor Adams, took this invitation found rash. Oh, Krista because I like the slogan having conversations that matter, and I. I am happy to be here. I'm happy to know that Dr Adams Adams's read my book, we didn't introduce the fact that I had a book, but he gave you a lot of information from my book, pasta and selected to make his point. But that's fine. I said I took the invitation to be here tonight. It's to understand because my motto in life is I seek to understand and then to be understood and in order to achieve that. I think if we're going to understand each other on an issue as volatile contentious. And as important as abortion, we have to listen to each other someone said that were all think alike, nine thank too much, the late Senator Daniel Patrick Monahan says that everyone's entitled to their own opinion. But no one's entitled to their own facts. And the final axiom that I abide by and I introduced these three thoughts into the conversation on purpose is to set the tone for how I wish to conduct myself and all of ideals, but in particular in a public forum, the final one is the logic. And the reason of the Mahatma Gandhi, he says, the honest disagreement. It's the beginning of progress. So I will in the course of the night express, honest disagreement with my brother, professor atas, when I say, my brother because I think some people might have the notion that because I do abortions that I don't have a faith identity I to a Christian. So I understand from the inside where the passion and the drive to to live to your convictions come from. So as a Christian, I stand here, and I say rather than being mortal enemies, if anything happens in this conversation at all is more of a sibling argument, and that a conversation between enemies, and those as we all know abortions afraid at term, it's all at once medical legal philosophical and religious as you've heard from professor Adams. Part of the problem with having a conversation about abortion as such a freight at time is that we often end up talking past each other because we don't lay groundwork of having definitions that will hold us in a certain context. Listened as professor Adams went back to the twenty philosophy. Science. Religion and the law and many of these terms Minna, these disciplines us, the same terms, or they have different implications. Once you set them in a context. So I want to do some of that. And so then it will allow me to ask them questions of professor atoms. And then maybe also clarify some of the opinion misrepresentations he made from the reading of my book now. Let me start by saying what the scope of my book was when I wrote it. And I think it's best captured in a cartoon us all recently. There's was a cartoon of conversation between a man and a woman, and they were having a conversation about where people come from or at least birth. The man says to the women. You came from our rib intimating the creation story of Adam. And eve man was created first woman was taken was created from his rib being taken from him when he was placed into a deep sleep. Now. If you've studied embryology the embryos that Dr Adams told you about in embryo, illogic development in utero, the fetus as it formed, the primary template of the fetus is female. And there's only under the influence of male hormones survey that secreted by the go NASA determined at conception or the sex is established X Y or X that the fetus differentiates into a male fetus, so biologically, the plausibility that a male was created I is biologically implausible, but I digress..

And this this wonderful thing that happens. It's like that's romantic, and it's sad. And it's frustrating. And it's you know, it's every. Glide. But but but I guess what? I mean is that there's such I've never quite understood that about the lake teachers falling in love with students because or at least until you get to college. "Let's see if that works. I just it's it's I'm surprised that there aren't more Connex scores. The way Star Wars that score was composed forty years ago. So we should be able to have some more horn fills. You know, that is true that there's like is not that much especially given that this is this like glory era for better or worse of franchise shit. And there's not anything from that where you're like. Oh, yeah. The avengers theme like there is. But it's not it doesn't resonate nearly as much Adam writes in I've been chewing on theory, the positive very significant amount of content consumption twenty eight team is driven by the need to understand the jokes and references on Twitter about said content. What percentage of content in two thousand eighteen consumed for the express purpose of commenting or? Understanding it on Twitter. It's to be at least twenty five percent that seems high and yet I do feel like there's definitely a weird recurs of that all sort of notice like I as an editor like you have to take a lot of stuff out of pieces where one thing that I've had removed from a lot of blogs, which is fine. It's like a funny face me's galaxy brain which everybody understands what that means. Right. It's part of a medium. And that's like when it's like the hottest possible take, you know, that's like complete core meltdown shit. But if you're like, an adult who isn't on Twitter all the time like a healthy, high functioning adult like most of the people that I mean, like most people aren't on Twitter, then like galaxy brain is just going to look weird to you. Yeah. Brin genius which use more than I should is gonna look weird to you. But those are all like jokes that originated online. I think it kind of it's permeable it goes back and forth. But I don't know that there's a lot of people go into like, no, you're Meam. So that they understand what someone means they say galaxy brain does true. I I the thing where if I see someone. Tweet about something. It's clearly and religious news item. That I have not digested yet. I immediately half to go seek out what the fuck they're referring to that definitely Israel. And that if that's what the question is. Then like, yeah. That drives a lot of my shit too. Because I can't I mean, it would be terrible self care for one thing. But also have a job to do. I can't just look at Twitter all day. But if I did like, then I would understand everything. But a lot of times, you know, you'll go back after a couple of hours. I remember the one yesterday was that apparently Trump is consistently calling ambassador. John Bolton Mike, Mike Bolton's here. Mike was Mike. And like I saw. Patrick Monahan friend like tweeted about it about of calling that. And I was like that's funny and then on the bus, and then I was like, oh, it's not a joke at all like that. I click to read the story about how his fucking brain is failing. Yeah. I always drives me nuts. If I see like learn about news item. Not because I I found out about it straight. But because someone like sub tweeted the event like, you know, well, Chicago is Newt we're just and I'm like shit. This is not how I wanted to find out that really important piece of information. Yeah. I definitely get that. I mean, that's definitely like if I were to go back and look at how my tweets respond to the events of the day. Like, there's a lot of it. Where like anytime something terrible happens and like, right? An imitation of like an exaggerated version of it in Trump's voice like that's I guess coping mechanism for me. I don't think it really works. Very well. But it is a sort of thing that I imagine would be like pretty inscrutable to someone that wasn't like following. What was going on be like why is this guy like Wisey keep writing folks?.

I came all I want walk walk on the ocean down. I don't know. Full down. I probably would if you played it actually, but. Walk on the ocean. I always get down on whenever that comes on. I'm fine with it. That's that's drops of Jupiter sich where drops of Jupiter comes on the go. Do you know that Trane? Does this thing where you can drown, you train your favorite band. Obviously they do this thing that you can enter to get married at their concert because their drummer is ordained in like all the cities go toward fucking. Oppose. No. It would be renewing. Vows to drops or Jupiter, Chris shine. I down you wanna do it down. Oh, totally. Is there some type of test you and you enter you like write a letter or people kind of, you know, you write a letter you would, and you would just tell, obviously, tell train how amazing I am. Story of our assurer ni. Love and we'd have to be super trained fans. But that's the other stipulation is you have to be like, we have loved you from, you know what I mean? So for Patrick Monahan obviously the lead singer, I would have to to tell you that he was born February twenty eighth nineteen sixty-nine. Like really go into trains personal back story, right? What do you think that's all their music? Because if I have to know all their music and we're fucked, not not going on a train mission, you don't have to know all their music when you right into them. Just like pretend that you're a person that has gone to every concert like look up when concerts were like around you at certain ages and be like this, and I waited backstage and you just, you know, didn't have time or you know what I mean? Like that kind of be play the role of a super fan or you could say that I was right. Oh, yeah. And you know you're renewing your bows and maybe you lay it on me and I'm like staying with you anyways. And this is like the way that you're going to know to get back at. Let me ask you this though. Shoot. Do you have to dance. Like after do you have to dance to that song on stage or do they get you out of there? So you walk out to the song, the drummer ordainment minister shorts come out from his drum set. Oh, he's now going to be marrying. You really quick. And in the corner, Monahan is singing, whatever song you want kind of quietly. Right? I've seen this happen. Okay. So he's sort of singing quietly while you're doing your you know, like while you're saying you're both while you're getting married, you put the ring on Boba and then he boom kicks in finish. You know, he goes louder with the song and then everyone's clapping and that's it. And it's really short. It's like, do you take the Bubba? Okay, cool is really long. Yes. So you walk out, you know what I mean to the beginning. Wish you you off the stage? Yeah, really quick bows. And then when he kicks back up drops of Jupiter, then you guys, they kind of cool and you and your family, whoever you brought up or whatever you have to get the fuck off. You don't get the hang on the side of the stage maybe for a second, but they're definitely done with watch. Stateside. Yeah, they're definitely done with you like once you're married oca-. Okay. Yeah, I, I'll consider it. I don't think we're really in that train. Ballpark, do you? I think we have. I think we could pretend I think the listeners would support us. Absolutely think it's hilarious and go a meant journey and hopefully not tell anybody, hopefully keep our secret, but then we ruin it for other train heads. Is that what they're called shit, then are we taking somebody else's spot where it's just like, hey, man, there is some fucking huge strain heads out there train head. They have another name right. "Essential is designed for the doers, the believers, the overachievers drink it in and do all the things that make you extraordinary. Welcome back everybody to the trunk podcast. As I mentioned this week, a conversation with these Snyder who's always a lot of fun to talk to, and this conversation is no exception. We talk about his brand new released album for the love of metal and a whole lot more. So here you go slider on this week's Eddie trunk podcast. He is the James Brown of meddling. Deciders ears working white man in show business. Why are you working so hard? Good. Couldn't you just live off a? We're not gonna take it the rest of your life? Yes, technically. Technically, that's always been very good to me. I don't know. I don't know. I, I could really analyze this and I think there's a fear falling, honestly, being I'm getting really serious all fear of falling. Well, what happened in in the late eighties early nineties career, right? And I know the crash and burn which I've talked about many times. I, you know, even though I'm secure in have investments and I just still have that it was such an awful experience of scarred. So you'd be like telling myself slow up slope? I can't. And when somebody challenges me or offers being opportunity like rock Topi I'm joining rock. Toby is now going out on the road and you're the first hear this, but I'll be announcing six shows with rock topa. We're going to be jersey. You're going to be a little high wind at four in Ohio, and you know, I maybe I maybe continuing on with them as a member of the rock topa. Show. Well, that was the last time you were here with route and we'll talk about that because I want to hear how that went because you were just getting ready to go to get into that. But the point is, but I want to hear me. They said, hey, you more. Yeah. Well, you know, they had they had Patrick Monahan one week and they had Tam, province Zan, Zander and me, and they've asked me to go through six more shows with them. So it's very flattering and I said, yes. And is it the money? Not really? Is it, you know, I enjoyed doing it and it just I don't know what opportunity happens and look this record begin to for the love of metal. We just the challenge me. All right. We want to get to that in a second, but, but. Okay, so so you might do more wsa but be twenty four. We get to the record. He mentioned when I'm I only half jokingly saying, you could live off. We're not gonna take it, but could you? I mean, not getting your personal finances, but you wrote that song that song has become this classic rock anthem. It's played at every sporting event. It's played everywhere. What? What kind can you give us an idea? What kind of money Royal do you own it still by the way? Or did you sell the publishing? I sold it for a lot of money. You did recently are back in the day? No recently. Oh, oh, you did. Lot. You see, you just got a payout a lot. How long ago did you do this. Two years. Is that when you bought your place in beliefs? No, not so I was already know that. So somebody comes to tell me how that works because Publishing's fascinating to me. You write that song, you own it, and then someone comes to you publishing companies say, big, fat, pay out, but you don't ever see another royalty from it again, you get all your money up front. Is that how it works? But the the reason so it, you know, they look at its annual income and then they offer you multiple say, we will give you seven years, ten years, fourteen years, you know, this is the negotiation, right? And the appeal of that is when you're in, this isn't bragging, you know, rich rockstar of, sorry. I mean, I worked hard for that, but you're in your forty fifty percent tax bracket, but the money that you get each year comes in there when you sell it, you sell it as a capital gain. So you only paying twenty percent. Oh. Said a fifty percent. So it's a tax move..
