GSMC Baseball Podcast Episode 138: The Offseason Begins (11-7-2018)
Basically. Golden State media concepts baseball podcasts we cover everything majorly from sprint treat soothe the World Series. Got your favorite club cover from New York to Boston to LA vix is the Golden State media concepts baseball podcast. Hello everyone. Welcome to the GMC baseball Pont has brought by the GMC podcast network. I am your host. Jeff Mellon often. With me as Mark Souza? We are going to be talking about politics. No, no. I haven't talked politics in years anyways. We're moving onto the giants. Getting anew president of baseball operations who is an enemy to them in the LA area will warn that later the next segment will do is free agents that are going to be available this season. Which is a pretty big free agency pool of you asked me, then we talk about gold glove winners in then anything else we need to talk about will be at the end of the the fourth segment. So let's get right into it. You have the all the updates on. This don't you on the giants move of president operation. I do I do. So as we know the midterm elections were yesterday, and they hot political climate and the giants in a political policy for a second. Stop. I got this in a political move still one of their adversaries, and they have him. Join their team. Far Hans eighty from the Los Angeles Dodgers, you will know him as the general manager of the daughter the last three years a man who has oversaw the building of a farm system, a strong in five and eat farm system. Yes. A strong twenty five man roster strong forty man roster. We see the dodgers lose players injuries. They get other players that are just as capable and that man the brains behind the dodgers operation he is heading north to join the rival San Francisco Giants front office. He will take the role as president of baseball operations. Which means he will know hire a general manager to sit basically runs everything that happens. Yes. Yes. So the giants have done some reshuffling in their front office. They're looking to have. A fresh approach, and they have sought after one of the better minds and baseball, according to you know, baseball analysts. I think most baseball insiders would agree that far Hans eighty is regarded as one of the best and brightest in the business going at the moment, we saw him get his start as an assistant to Billy Beane and the Oakland Athletics before making that unprecedented moved to the dodgers going from an assistant to all of a sudden in the general manager of one of the biggest clubs the biggest payrolls in baseball. He was a great success exceeded big time to World Series. And he's going to a team. That's like not that below them in moneywise. They the giants have plenty of money. So he's not going to a whole new the type system where he has to be careful with money. He's gonna be fine. Yeah. They're his payroll be very similar in fact, one cargo that the giants. Will probably be spending more money than the dodgers will for the next few years because the giants made it a point this year to get under the luxury tax. They have to pay the repeaters they didn't make logistics. They they got underneath the repeaters tech. So they didn't have to play pay that bloated tax this year. They were able to take away the previous years and. People say that they will be making a run at some big name free. Just we'll get into that in a minute. But Jeff, what do you think about this move for the giants? Obviously as fans as people who fall sport if we're not in the front office. It's really hard to see what people do on a day-to-day basis. It's really hard to see what far on Zaidi does everyday. But from just say perspective of shoe, we stalk him. But from a perspective of on the outside looking in as we all are. What do you think of this move? Do you think it's a good move, which agree move? Like, this guy is is not maybe the the main reason that the dodgers are as good as they are right now. Yeah, he develops. So many great players in everything that has happened. It's all because of him and he's going to a team with the same roughly the same payroll and the same ambitions in the same like we'll spend money to win. And this is huge for the giants. This was like fire and their general manager was maybe the best decision they made because it just Heatley looked like he was getting too older players. And it was the the money was getting really ridiculous with the contracts. He was getting overall. This is get a turnaround. The giants I feel like this is this is going to be a multi year multi year plan. But I think we'll see the giants back to the World Series sooner rather than later with this with this new head of the operations. Yeah. And you know, the last four years, I eighty has been working for the dodgers. And we talked about it. They've had tremendous success. I mean, obviously, they didn't win the World Series. But they got their them there. When you're not a player in your somebody making decisions personnel and things like that. All you can really do is provide the team the best opportunity. And when you get there two years in a row, and you continue to dominate your division year in and year out. It says something about the personnel department says something about president Andrew Friedman for the dodgers. We'll see if Zaidi was how influential he was with the dodgers because we'll see if the giants take a different approach. We know Zaidi is a analytics guy, which not to say that they're the giants previous general manager, Bobby Evans wasn't. But he wasn't regarded as such as someone like that Zaidi comes in with an analytics approach is only forty one years. Old which is very interesting. He's very young to be president of baseball operations. When you do something. Right. You're good good. Big opportunities even at a young age, and he's young. So I mean, it's possible that he could be in this role for fifteen twenty years. I mean, maybe he thinks million years. Maybe he takes over for Sabin down the road. The giants president, of course. So it's probably best. Yeah. Yeah. So sound like you said save him like why go to save in Alabama crimson tide. Yeah. Brian saving. So I think it's a big get for the giants. Honestly, if just hearing from people like BUSTER, only in other people who live and breathe baseball. It. Just sounds like this was not a home run. But a grand slam type of fire. So. We'll see what the future holds for the giants. So I wanna talk about the giants a little bit Bryce Harper serious thing. Sounds like there's a report out there that Bryce Harper turned down a Megan offer from the nationals, which I'm sure that happened. I don't know if it was really three hundred million on of its four hundred million. We'll see, but I think that happened. I think the nationals gave it their best shot Bryce Harper. All of a sudden is looking at a few teams. I think you have the White Sox and the Phillies who are said to be in on Harper. But the giants are also in on Harper. I don't believe the dodgers. The Yankees Red Sox. Are in on Harper nationals or one of the top six teams and payroll, but here he said, no to them are the giants all of a sudden the front runner to leeann Bryce Harper as of right now, probably if the if the president says, I will pay any amount of money just get him. That's basically what he is saying. Yeah, they're the front runner. And I don't know how much money that's going to be. It's getting fifty. Think it's not gonna be four hundred years. I said I said in a while ago that I'll know way he's in four hundred. I heard the nationals contract offer them. I can see him getting four hundred maybe even more. Maybe fifty at the least. I don't know. I wish I was a baseball. So here's the thing. Here's the thing. I would say that four hundred million is possible if the big wigs were involved, but since the Yankees, the dodgers and the Red Sox Washington Washington is one of the top six and payroll every single year and they're out. So for the top six out can let that happen. So with that being said, it kind of drives down the price of little bit. Don't you think if because there's less competition out? There says the White Sox Phillies in the giants. That sounds like who will be offering the most money. I don't think the cubs are in the cubs. We've heard conflicting reports we've seen we've seen. Baseball mine say that they're in some say, they're not gonna spend nearly that much for one player because they do have a lot of good players on that team. But we know Bryce Harper and Kris Bryant or good buddies. I don't know what to say if the cubs are in and out, but I don't think he's legal James where he wants to play with his friends. I think it's more of a wants to win a championship now. But I mean, the cubs would be a good team to join. Absolutely. But I think they're still like how they've been playing the cubs. Have they on a decline? Now. The cubs would offer him the opportunity to play for a great franchise with his buddy with as good a chance to win World Series. Because if if we think about the other teams that are involved the giants Phillies White Sox are they any closer to winning championship. Then the giants I'm pretty sure I'm or the cubs. Excuse me. I'm pretty sure that the giants and cubs probably closer than we think. We have the cubs are just a better spot though, I salute one hundred degree so but I'm saying that the giants like I don't see the White House when he World Series the next five ten years. I see the giants in the World Series in five. I can't see Bryce Harvard playing in Chicago not playing for the cubs. Like that would. That seems weird. But he's a west coast guy like we were saying before. Yeah, he's from Vegas. So I mean, there's no really baseball teams in Vegas. So he was probably a bay area fan. Yeah. I mean, I think dodgers would be the closest for proximity. But I don't I don't think they have the money. They don't have the they're not going after him. That's fake. Have the money for him. But that's so much on the luxury tax. It's just against their MO recently. You know? Yeah. Yeah. So they could I mean if they do their luxury through the roof. Big time big time. So. Are the giants front runner? I'm going to see them in Philadelphia. Philadelphia has a nice little up and coming team. But. Listen getting him or Machado. Yeah. Sounds like the Phillies want both of them looks like they're, you know, they have the space in between them and the look she checks to do anything. So it's a possibility. But I don't think they're gonna get both. They might get one. I think they're going to go crazy if they get both when the offseason, but I think they're gonna get Machado not Harper. That's my prediction. Yeah. Possibly so. There was news from BUSTER only this week that giants majority owner Charles Johnson. He is a huge Bryce Harper fan. And it sounds like he's willing to do whatever it takes to get Harper. And we know that the giants were in on Stanton last year. We know that they engage with talks. They always have stand said, no because he was what a group, but he grew up a dodgers fan was that the reason again. Again. I don't remember exactly like the giants as a kid or something like that. I know that was one of the reasons I don't see myself as a giant grew up dot liking them. Like, all right. I understand that. Because if I was like if I was a giants fan I got signed with the daughters like, I don't really want. I mean, I guess that would be a tiebreaker he had options. So it doesn't matter. He went to the Yankees. He probably went to the best situation is the inky have much more money than must can count to so six we know the giants were in on STAN. And it was mostly we hear that it was because of this owner Charles Johnson who really wanted to bring a big name to the giants last year. But now it sounds like from what both through only has said the giants are all in on Harper. I can see it happening. A really can. I know this there is there a percentage chance of like is there? A what's the why would say there if d percent giants right now, and I would say the other fifty percents mix of three or four team. I'll look up favorite to land Harper. I bet the giants are not the went to middle schools called Harper. That means absolutely nothing for listeners. Just it's a fun. Fact, fun fact guys Jeff went to a middle school named Harper. Harper junior high okay? Yeah. I went to junior high to seventh and eighth not not no six seven eight as of October twenty ninth of this year. The cubs plus three hundred the nationals are plus four hundred which I think they're done negative. Yeah. And the giants are plus seven fifty or the third the third see and the nationals. He turned down the cubs. I don't think they're in. I think the cubs are out of Bryce Harper Phillies are even so Phillies have the biggest odds to win the Phillies. The reading the little list game. He was a loft. But yet the Phillies are the best are the number one on the angles and Red Sox plus fifteen hundred so I guess technically they're in the dodgers are eight fifty Yankees or eight hundred but it's between the Phillies the cubs in the giants at the moment. Yeah. I mean, that's gonna get one reading from a twenty actually were twenty nine poll or not pull. But it's maker if you're Bryce Harper, and you can pick between Philadelphia and San Francisco where do you go to live? I'm probably gonna pick San Francisco to live because probably nicer area to live in by the taxes are really high too. I don't think you're terribly concerned when you're making three hundred fifty million about about that. But he'll plus tax. You probably are get a get three hundred and twenty of it. So which if you're Bryce Harper though, which franchise have more confidence in in building championship team the giants or the Phillies. Phillies are young team and building the probably looking better in the future. Then the giants are in all honesty visa Johnston little old players there. I mean, they've Evan longoria for goodness sake. But I'm going to go on a limb and say that the. The Phillies are probably looking better in the long run the Phillies piece, they're young. They're young up and coming team like you said, and they have youth the they have just a great they're getting their farm system together. Just seems future team. But when you're looking at also whoever gets Harper their future is the brighter one. But I. Of giant still got a a president of baseball perations that is the best league arguably. So that might help in the signing of Bryce Harper goes, and they still have Bucci who's one. They still have posing Crawford and Bumgarner for the time being Bruce votes future hall of Famer, I don't think there's any question about then BUSTER Posey's probably a future hall of famers. All right Bassett, Bumgarner, I think his hands down a future hall of Famer district is also alone. And also we have to think about too is that the giants have the funds for compared to the Phillies to in the near future like to build teams to make trades and they have more flexibility when it comes to this. So there may be something that harpers thinking about to maybe they should maybe Bryce Harper should think about just playing bed. And so he gets a Bob Alina lake contract where he gets a million dollars the fifty years. So there had been talk about the giant. Trading mass and Bumgarner because he's on the last year of very team friendly deal before he gets paid a Mehta salary. Would that be moved Zedi should make so early in his tenure at the giants or do you think that something you don't want to do right away? You know? Maimi train them before the deadline. He's a numbers guy. So if the numbers say in his head to do it, you kinda gotta trust them. Right. I mean, yeah. Remove the Phillies aren't like fans of team or not numbers people. But this guy's track record speaks for itself. So I would trust the guy if I was Johnson. Yeah. I mean, it's hard when you look at the numbers, and you remove your feelings and emotions giants fans might think. Okay. We could get a lot back for Bumgarner. He can really really step up a rebuild. We could get maybe one or two really top young pitching prospects. Maybe a position player prospect. In addition, I think you'd be looking at three or four big time prospects for a deal because Bumgarner still young he's a World Series MVP at three time World Series champion single handily won the World Series for giving up one run in the World Series in what like six or seven. He's charted in game four. The twenty ten series that one went to five he started in twenty twelve series in game two and that was a sweep then he played two games in games in games. One in five in the World Series twenty fourteen and then face saved in seven. Yeah. In game seven which was a five inning. Save people haven't forgotten. So obviously he gave up one run in all that time, and he pitched all he'd pushed over he pushed complete game one that lose games in two thousand fourteen and that was shutout. So he always only has one run in the in the in the World Series is giving us. And I would say like what thirty innings pitched vizier is point two five. That's that's insane. Yeah. He is right now in in in the modern day, the best post-season pitcher of all time in in terms of those numbers. I mean in in performance overall. I mean, you look at him. He's bordering on stoppable. He just has a different way about him. That puts them of other us, like the classic Clayton Kershaw massive Bumgarner debate really starts ends with World Series because look at they both get frustrated both get they both physically and mentally get frustrated. You could see it in them. They usually get frustrated, but when it comes to the playoffs one of them has it in one of them doesn't in right now Kershaw doesn't. I mean, the the games in the World Series speak for themselves. Absolutely. He played in crucial games and gave up a lot of runs. He's been pump iron has been phenomenal in the play offs. It's it's like he's good doing the regular season. Then it becomes a different beast in the playoffs. But what do you say we go to break we come back. Let's talk about actual free agents right now throughout baseball who are the top guys that each position who we think that kind of maybe some players on the radar maybe under the radar who could be difference makers. I don't think we'll actually talk about which teams they might go to. But we'll just talk about the players in general. We'll do that when we return. Yes. Absolutely. We'll see then. And welcome back to the baseball podcast. We just finished talking about eighty being the president of operations for the San Francisco Giants leaving the general manager position for the Los Angeles Dodgers. And now, we're moving onto the free agent market. And we're going to see any the crucial players. We already talked about Bryce Harper. So that's peaks self many Machado speaks for himself. Do you wanna talk about him a little bit more though? Yeah. Manny Machado other than Harper. I think he's the biggest I mean, he is the biggest and I think Harper twenty six years old. So you're looking crazy looking at the years to come future wise that is actually pretty crazy because you don't get two guys that are this good that are this young in free agency, especially there had played multiple years in the rig in the big leagues. Usually by this time, they spay played one maybe two years in the in the big leagues. With a bunch of years in the minors. But this these two guys got out of the minor. It's awfully quickly. Absolutely. Especially harper. What was nineteen when he started in the major leagues. Well, nationals were kind of desperate for a spark. So they kind of rushed him, but it turned out to be in their favor. Yeah. So machado. Do you think that he'll be worth the money that he will eventually signed for? I don't know. Well, he's a great player. No doubt. But he's kind of a head cases. Well, I guess Harper is ahead case too. And you think about but not as I feel like much more of a head Machado doesn't run hard. Sometimes he's kind of dirty. I would I would say that Bryce Harper. Even if you might be a little bit egotistical. Or a little bit brash in his approach. I think he's a lot of unnecessary junctions. Yeah. He's a fiery guy. But I think he's have not worried about him at all if I'm a baseball fan like even my team is going after him but for Machado. I am because we've seen this guy time and time again on the biggest stage when he was point for Baltimore, even I mean tisches known as it's what Christian yelich said what a Christian yelich say that he's known for being a dirty player is that right? Yeah. I mean, that's it's one of his peers talking about it. Right. Like Bryce Harper has he been hot head? Yes. Did he fight hunter Strickland? Yes. Throughout his hip. If those pretty intentional. Yeah. So yes. So what I what I see here is I see Machado being the one player between the two that could be more of a problem. I'm not worried about that with Harper. But Machado, I'm just not sure man. He kind of did that stupid thing in the game against the brewers. Kick the the guy's league championship series. It's a world sandwich. Really does is that it was so unnecessary. Didn't have to kick his leg like that. And you're worrying spike cleats. You could easily like accidentally spiked them. And then he acts like he didn't do it. Like, I'm just not. I'm not with that personality through the baseball. Like, he was pitchy. I forget who's pitching them. But then he he swung in through the battle way. And it was intense. It was trying to get at the pitcher trying to throw the bat at the pitcher. Yeah. A couple years ago. But like I don't want that guy leading my team. Just there's some things that just you don't need. That's completely unnecessary in much harder has done the past can be considered unnecessary so Machado. It sounds like I don't know if the dodgers are going to bring him back. I don't think he'll stay. I think he'll get. I think he'll go the highest bidder. And I think the Phillies will be that team is that you seem ending up or do you think that he ends up somewhere else? Doesn't end if he doesn't stay in LA. I'm not so sure he will. I'm saying Philadelphia. Yeah. Any darkhorse team? I can see the. Maybe the Yankees. Maybe have I know. Say they'll have the money. I know, but I can see the Marlins also kind of push for them to is dairy. Cheers that kind of guy that would push for guy like him shortstop, especially. Yeah. Okay. Well, let's talk about some other ones. Patrick corbin. Arizona diamondbacks. A lot of people think that he's the best pitcher on the market. Eleven and seven this last year two hundred innings pitched two hundred and forty six strikeouts. Yuri of three point one five whip of one point zero five that's very very strong numbers for Patrick Corbin. What do you what do you think about twenty nine like, these are super young still, he's a lefty and? Like union average eleven strikeouts per nine innings. And he did this that year Ray in whip was doing that in a home ballpark that is very friendly to hitters. Absolutely. So those numbers could even better if you're buying Patrick Corbin than you a better. Are wide. Yes. And there's a lot of home runs wise. It's pretty brutal. But when it comes to getting base hits weights cake, it's a it's a bit. I mean, we know Arizona. The dry air the ball flies around that park. So it's very impressive. When a pitcher can put up good numbers because you know, that translates to great numbers. Elsewhere where do you see a landing spot for Patrick Corbin? Well, who need pitching more than anything? I think the ANC would probably push for him because I know I keep seeing the eighties a lot, but they push in the free market, especially when they're needing pictures and this team needs a better a better rotation and Corbin might be that guy. Maybe. Like we were talking about the White Sox going after Harper. Maybe they go after Corbin as well because they have the money for it. And you also look at the cubs. They could add that to the rotation. He can go anywhere. Yeah. I'm looking at potential spots. Sounds like the nationals are popular place for Patrick Corbin. The you know, they will have losing Harpo put a damper on going there because they're no longer contending team. He's going away from the Diamondbacks. Don't you wanna go championship contender? Go to the American League. We don't have to bet. Unless you're like a pitcher who rakes them. Yes. Talking about mad Kershaw can hit two people can agree key can hit really well pitchers can hit now, especially in the national the nationally you have to. But the National League West is has a has a monopoly on good hitting pitchers. I feel like his even if you look at the giants some margin and hit the ball to he can really smack the ball. I mean, he was a division one football player. So he's agreed athlete in general. But let's let's move onto more free agents though. Yeah. Absolutely. We got Corbin going probably to an American team doesn't like hitting. He's he's pretty he's pretty public about that. And but another this kind of old but Josh Donaldson based on he had he has had some nagging injuries. But in a short term contract to one or two maybe three years he could be a bit of a he could be huge factor. Yeah. He's a big time player where do you see him windy? It's hard to say when he's healthy. He's really good. But yet especially with an unhealthy third baseman. Well on healthy is a strong word. But like, you know, he's still injury prone. Yeah. Maybe the cardinals be fit for him. You know, what I see like the Orioles trying to pick them up there. They need some more firepower. And after that, Hugh, I think they need to do better in the in the he was he would any freed you once ago there in ele- until they offer the money, right? But are the the Manetti Orioles in a position to be offering big contracts when they're clearly like leave resign him. No just one season. Maybe maybe they'll resigning. I mean, he'll he's obviously gonna test. Aol MVP in twenty fifteen. I mean, that's not that long ago. It's something Longo, but feels a lot longer because he's been hurt so much like his it's hard to trust them. If you're going to spend money, especially in baseball, you really it really dampers your team if that guy can't stay healthy. Because if you're putting so much your salary on one guy. He's got to do. Well, but maybe one or two year deal will get them back on track. Who else we got Dallas? He's a free agent. Yeah. True. Do see him going. Who knows who knows? I don't like going back to we're just Roca going. I don't know why the flu Jays traded him. That was just like giving up on the season fellow. They traded them for a prospect one prospect pitcher, it wasn't even that big of a deal. Whatever continue Dallas Kyko. I could see a team like the nationals being in on him. I could see a team like the angels being him. The angels, we know need pitching. Well, he's not a number one on the world on a World Series. But he's definitely contributor. Yeah. He's a decent two or three in a rotation. And we know how valuable those pictures are on the market. I mean. If you have a child that plays baseball, and he's a pitcher. That's the sport you want to go. And that's the position them to play because pitchers make a ton of money on the open market, even a guy at Corbin. I mean, I can't even imagine what he's going to get. And he's really good player. But he's gonna get paid probably five seven mine. Get blown. Yeah. Exactly. So. Dallas kaikal. Do you? Do you see him getting recited all or no? It's gotta be gotta be very attractive offer about Nathan involved e. Coming off the World Series. Now, I see him getting re signed. He's twenty nine. He's a pitcher. He's. He had a stellar World Series. He had some dominance stretches in the regular season. And. He can go in the triple digits, you know, in miles per hour, and that's kind of rare nowadays. But a good pitcher. They can go in that that range because you see like a lot of guys with that have strong arms don't breaking bowl type pitches. And yet he he knows how to get those cranking balls in there. Do you think he wins? I think he resigns, but if he doesn't he's probably going to. Maybe the cubs cubs. Love three digit pitchers Craig kimbrel. Interesting name hitting the open market. We saw him be pretty shaky in the playoffs this year. Maybe the one part of the Red Sox wasn't a plus throughout the play offs and the season. But Kimbrell we've seen him be such a dominant closer before I wonder where he lands. He had a whip under one this season. Which is would you call that stellar? Would you call this really good? Yeah. I'm just. Yeah. Yeah. It's under one. But like how much under one? They don't the stats say just says is under one that could be under one's really good. Absolutely. But the bottom line is like he say, forty two games. Any he struck out thirteen point point nine per cent per nine innings again. That's closers like that's closer Satistics. Not a actual starting pitcher. I think they'll they'll keep them. Stay in Boston. Yeah. But if he doesn't go to Boston I wanted to go on a limb and say he goes to Houston. It's possible loves taking other great players from teams that beat them. Another reliever that's gonna hit the Mark is Andrew Miller. Now, he's an interesting name. What do you take? What do you think about Andrew Miller? He's a pretty good relief pitcher hitting the market. Yeah. I'm not sure where he goes to be honest. He was hurt most of the season this year. So he's kind of like outta sight outta mind. But we worried we can't forget about his incredible postseason run two years ago. Yeah. But that was two years ago. Right. But he was being this year. But you know, I mean, would you be worried about two to Bryce Harper's also hurt this here too? You know, like players get hurt. We'll talk about Donaldson who is injury prone. I think we can all agree to that. But who knows if Miller just got hurt a couple of times this year, or if he actually is somebody worried about somebody that maybe the way he pitches took a toll on them this year. But he's an interesting player. I think he's a player that can definitely change a team. Yeah. Absolutely. Is a game changer for sure, but I also have to put it depends on what team he goes to you. Sometimes you can be game changer if the players play like the Orioles, and you know, what? Today's major league baseball. We see such an important place on those middle relievers. Now that can go like two innings like the bridge pitchers. The bridge pitcher seemed to be like a little bit more valuable than closers lately. Just because you got guys like brewers. I hate her on the brewers. I Andrew Miller like we see these guys come in. It can get do from the sixth to the ninth inning. They're pretty valuable nowadays. Especially with these new analytics would we saw with the Oakland A's when they when the. The as and the brewers did this earlier this year they start a pitcher pitches one inning. And then they changed pitch. Don't like that. I really don't it pointless. But in today's baseball, there's there's something to write like a trend. You know, that's a trend get it. It's kind of like throwing them out going with an opposite handed pitcher after that. But does it really throw them off? Because how many times has I new reliever came into like with five ings remaining into different pitcher. And they still play. Well, are we heading into that era? Are we hitting into narrow? We're starting pitching is less valuable and then teams have more guys who pitched two or three innings night in night out where it's like maybe a starter goes three or four one day where it's one pitcher per inning. I mean, we're it's becoming pretty specialized, you know, it really is in throws betters off. They don't see the same pitcher three times four times in a game. It makes a difference. I mean, there's a point there to be made that it's the way the baseball's heading. Yeah. True. But who knows I just I personally just don't like the it's just like you're wasting time. I feel like so what do you say we take a break we come back with a little bit of the gold glove winners last time. We did this podcast. We talked about the nominees, but we do have winters now. So we'll talk about that. When we return. Tired of searching, the vast jungle of podcasts. No, listen close. And here this out. That's coming up in this off season. Now, we're going to the golden glove winners were announced for your days ago that we're talking about the Golden Globes nobly, gloves gloves thing come on get your and the game. Got I subscribe to this podcast at that. We were talking Golden Palm never mind anyways near stuff. You wanna start with American League? Sure. Okay. Mary can league we're going catch her. I have an obvious choice Salvador Perez shocking. Not me time in six seasons. Yeah. You wanna talk about who the pitcher was tell me who was no you say, we're gonna go back and forth. Was it? Dallas keiko. It was Dallas catechal. His regent, douse kaikal his fourth. You think he's going to go into his negotiations like gold glove? Well, he's he's already three time. Whenever. Before this. So. I'm doing. I'm sure I'm sure I'm sure it's going to be a factor. But bottom line is. I think it's he's already won the top pitchers in the free market. And then we're looking at first baseman Matt Olsen, the Atlantic's very winter his first golden glove, very unlikely. If you would've told me that at the beginning of the season, I would have slapped who's been awesome. Who else one? Oh, he sorry. I don't mean we don't need to jump to the nationally, but he want again, I thought that was interesting. No one not to me. Simmons won it for sure suffer. The American League's zebra of the angels Ford his fourth in Kinzler his angel slash Red Sox. He was trade in the middle of that Gordon to tell being traded to a horrible team to a great team. The Red Sox win a World Series his second golden glove, and then another athletic, Matt Chapman. Yes, I Golden Globe. So both what a season as. Gold glove winners are there. I winners and Simeon was a nominee for the shortstop. So they almost had another infielder as well. They had a pretty good defense just nine to make the playoffs. Unfortunately. But what about Gordon get Alex, Gordon, his six his six glove? He ends preser-. The last remnants of that twenty fifteen World Series team. So it kinda shows that those two were very crucial and those World Series. The Red Sox led the American League with three Gold Gloves. We'll speaking of the other two we got Jackie Bradley, jR for center field. And then we got mochi beds who might be MVP or the home league for the Red Sox. Yeah. The Red Sox just straight dominating the awards. I mean when you win that many games hundred World Series, you're gonna win prettiest free dominant. Then we'll go to the National League. Who do you think is the least surprising winner of the cat? Erin auto. I was saying nationally catcher catcher Molina. Yeah. His ninth golden glove him in BUSTER Posey's have been trading off that award last couple of years then in pitcher surprising, again, no one is at Ronchi who I think that's five in a row now yet he's been dominating. He's probably the best. Pitcher, but he's a really good hitter agreed fielder. So he will the done bags paid him a king's ransom. So base that he's great. And there was a tie for first base Taisei. Yes. For his first Golden Globe. I give you FREDDY Freeman of the Braves who had a pretty great season all around with he tied with Anthony Rizzo who again scores desert tie. That's weird should be an odd number. I don't know. I I'm not I don't make the rules, man. That is interesting though, Anthony Rizzo with his second golden glove well-deserved, he's still playing at a high level for the cubs. As for second baseman. We don't have a tie. We have DJ. Lemme you Lowy DJ Mayhew the may say there. I said there, right? Then. Let me let me you did. I it's all good his third golden glove winner and on Rockies team that made the playoffs. So good for him. Pretty good season. All around. Actually, there was another rocky player, and you already said him kind of spoiled ready who was the third base Nolan and auto again all in Aaron auto is sixth goals glory. And that shortstop a lot of people thought, it was gonna be Brandon Crawford. He was the favorite. But it's not it's Nick a'made. Okay. From the Divac. Yes. His first Golden Globe. Because coffered has won multiple. That's why people thought he was gonna be the favor yet again. And he's so playing high little all due respect to Crawford. But amid takes it in Tenterfield another Braves player ender. NCR with the third his third golden glove winner another brace player brace at a pretty good season. And again, another Braves player who is the right fielder, my friend. I'll let you say the last one, Nick, Marcus. Yes, he is third golden gloves. So that's one too. That is re for the Braves. What about Corey Dickerson? I don't know if you mentioned him pirates fielder. He. Doesn't it doesn't see on here for some reason pirates fielder? Okay. Come on you list? You. That's Corey Dickerson won his first one raises to him and the pirates not have a good season. So it's great for him. So Corey Dickerson I'd say pretty unlikely a name that hasn't been in recognition been a nominated name before. Inciarte not surprised pretty Freeman though. He he's been playing really well Aaron auto, obviously, not surprised Grinky. Not surprised probably the best fielder in the game. I can arguably say he's pretty good. You can put on my third base. Best third baseman, feeling wise. I want to say, I don't know if you agree with this or not. But I feel like no one Aaron autos the most underrated baseball player in the league. Well, he's on a team in the wrong. So I think that just goes with the territory when people talk about who's the best player in baseball like trout and Harper come up quickly for good reason. I it's more of a hitting. It's when you look at the best you always look at hitting for not a hits the ball to you know, he doesn't make his he's on is. I don't I don't know how that can work. How you could be less flashy, but he's super defensive plays. I mean, you see him on the PIN all the time with the snags that he makes the hot corner. So it's just weird degree. Player. No doubt about it. He just leaves me. He's just on a low budget team low fan based team that doesn't really look at the Rockies a lot. And he just doesn't get the respect he deserves. Unfortunately. Yeah. But he's still a great player. No question about it. Do you think he should be? MVP candidate. In the National League. I think yellow had just an amazing season a candidate. Sure. But I mean, yell and he's been on. I mean the Marlins really just destroyed their team. He he he was they had basically Stanton. Yeah. Performing well this year. Yeah. So I don't know what they were doing it looks like they were sabotaging the team mainly. Yeah. Their new full rebuild. So. Yeah. I am interested. It was interesting to see those two as on their Chapman and Olsen. I mean, they had incredible seasons, especially Chapman. But no one really saw that coming if somebody even the biggest as fan pro would have never said. Oh, yeah. We're gonna have a goal third baseman and first baseman this year. But positives this year basically credible season for for the unexpectedly. Good season for them. Yes. Absolutely. That's all about the golden gloves. We're gonna take a short break yet. Again, when we give we'll take a, but other news in the Nash major base. Major league baseball league of associations of America. Right back right after this. We just finished talking about the golden glove winners twenty eighteen now to other news in do you have the other? You have the other news, Mark, don't you? Yes. I wanted to mention that Clayton Kershaw the last time that we had our podcast. He was still deciding if he was going to opt interrupt out well him and the dodgers have agreed to add an extra year to what was left of a two year contract. But now he will have a three year ninety three million dollar contract. Starting now with the dodgers. So the next three seasons Kershaw will be in dodger blue he will not be leaving or testing the market. Do you think it's a good move for the dodgers ace like especially in the regular season? They get their mainly because of his pitching performance in the regular season. So and he's the face of the franchise at the moment. So it's smart. It's smart move. He makes that team a lot of money. Yeah. So it makes sense. Sure. Z sales and all that kind of stuff it makes total sense to keep them around push. I mean, even if he struggles in the postseason, maybe even his velocities down he still premier pitcher. I mean, I would say at worst sees even if he is down he's a top fifteen twenty pitcher. So and that saints on the he's like at this lowest. He's still one of the best. Yeah. Yeah. For sure. So maybe he won't be there ace moving forward. Maybe the young kid Walker. Bueller will kind of ascend into that role. Either has been playing very solid. Yeah. His postseason on top of his regular season. Kinda help get it through to the World Series in my opinion with his World Series with his postseason performances. Yeah. That worst at worst kershaw's your number two at worse for the next two three years. So but he's probably the number one for halfway through the season. See how that goes? He'll definitely be the number one in the rotation. Who knows if he'll absolutely they're number one pitcher impales? Yeah. So we we heard recently there's some some news some rumors Harper turned down the ten year three hundred million dollar contract from the nationals. Do you believe that? Do you believe that he was offered ten years three hundred million? And if I just don't think he wants to be part of the organization, I think he's ready to try something different. Try news and scenery. Like, he I think he saw contract with Miami. I don't wanna do that. I don't want to have to put my team at risk like that. Or he just doesn't wanna play for them anymore. Doesn't want for four hundred million someone or something he might get it. I wouldn't be shocked if he doesn't if he gets it. Because it's one of those things where like if stained gets three hundred twenty five million and Bryce Harper. I feel like is a better player than Stanton. Yeah. Arbor can get that. Yeah. I think Harper is he's more marketable than Stanton to in my opinion. So he's. Stints in his own team. When you think about when you think about how much players are worth you have to think about not just their on field performance. But they're off the field like how many jerseys can you like how much can you make off of the likeness of the athlete like Bryce Harper wherever he goes. Well, his jersey will be sold out for months and months and months if you go to the giants because of the Phillies you won't be able to get a Bryce Harper after the first day or two because it'll be on backward. Wherever he goes, oh be sold out stints jerseys were sold out when he went to the Yankees. Yeah. Harper's just say he's a name. He's a face and he's a polarizing player in polarizing players usually sill merchandise. So the White Sox have given manager recrinching and extension. So it hasn't been said how many years it'll be, but he will at least be extent through this season. And beyond. What do you think about that move? If they're looking for new players, I guess they're just wanna keep something the same like, they're really. They don't wanna spend too much on. And he's one twenty nine and one hundred five and two seasons. I think they're just going to say we're gonna give you a we're going to buy you a team that can win if you don't win. Now, you're fired. That's my guess is. My prediction. Yeah. Dodgers president Andrew Friedman. He talked a little bit about Machado Machado. You should say. And he said that, you know, there was no secret that Machado didn't always hustle. He talked about stuff like that. He said that he knew kind of the risks and the personality that he was getting. But the positives outweigh the negatives. Do you really show in the postseason? Did it? I think it'll be telling how hard they try to retain him. Because if they try really hardly postseason. Yeah. He was. Okay. But not what they wanted if they needed. But the different was something more in the heating. He would he can do. He can do so much more. It's proven they can do so much more. But he just didn't show it and he was don't cheap shots at the players on the team. I think it'll be interesting to see how hard the dodgers go after retaining Machado because if they go really hard, then maybe there's some truth there. But let's be honest if they don't really go after Machado after giving up so much in a trade for him. It my they might be thinking what maybe other GM's are thinking. He's just not worth it. He's just not worth the headache. But it will be interesting to to watch. How about? Some injury news Lance mccullers picture of the Houston Astros. He's going to miss the two thousand nineteen baseball season as he undergoes Tommy John surgery. Do you think that's a big blow for the Astras? Yeah. I think Lewis losing anyone that stature is gonna hurt. And like, I don't know if you would call this like the end of the run. Or maybe. Yeah. I young core of two and. A bunch of other players that they have Correa. So. But the Astros they could be without mccullers and karakul if they don't retain kaikal, and he leaves they might need to mix it up a little bit with the pitching staff, although. The extras do how some arms in the in the minors some guys that are looking to break through. I think what we've seen over the last year from the Astra's. How incredible they've built their team with young talent. So I would not be shocked if we see one or two guys into the rotation next year for the first time for the Astros and really see them be dominant and see and people will probably say well the Astros. They lose a couple of pitchers, but look get these young guys that they brought in. So that's how I see. The Astros have been super smart and their decision making personnel decisions over the last few years. I think we can agree to that has I don't know if there's been a better team in terms of that in terms of building a team. Oh, absolutely. Like, they they really committed to that really on another planet. Yeah. They're the most patient team. They hit home runs with Korea bregman. Those guys are are big time. So and no one would have thought that what three years ago other than that? What's up guys looking back to the San Fernando with me as always is the gay? Jay, Jay, what's going on, buddy? Yes. It is very exciting over here at the episode number ninety nine. So you know, we got signed bay coming from one hundred and we got a lot of good stuff in the worst. I always saying this about the future. But I think we got some big coming in the future. Actually, I mean, but come on. I mean couple guys to sponsorships. I mean don't mean to brag. But. Check out the. Don't wanna brag about it. You know? Dan, the talking to minor leaguers have him on the show just expanding. Can we say over thirty two thousand downloads? I'm not bragging breaking up reading. But we got some big stuff coming. Speaking about our sponsors makes you check them out. It's baseball lifestyle on interment baseball underscored lifestyle. One other sponsor hit factory baseball cigarette, medium checkout. His secondary ish page if you call over forty thousand followers, they're at baseball realist. They got some great merger. Gosh, really check it out. And checking us out make sure you subscribe to itunes, check it all their episodes. He was a nice five star rating positive review and you down the pod Napper. Home domain, actually, follow us episodes and you smash those like buns, especially all right? The park because you know, we got another exciting one as always let's get into it. All right. So first off let's talk about Joe Mauer. Let's do. So you guys may know a great baseball world. We've lost a great player. Great career and Joe miracle the quits he retired fifteen years most fourteen fifteen fifteen I was the first time. Fifteen years the other day. And honestly, I was pretty sad. When I heard this news. I was I was pretty sense. I mean, she's was just such a session, upstanding guy guy was a strong character in. It was kind of sad to see his the client at the end of his career. He started off. He was such a good player. But arguably the best catcher in the game when he was healthy. His knees. Kind of fell them a little bit injuries plagued him concussions, and you tell the off to the end of his career. But I think you should try not to get yourself caught up in what diminished him because of how good he was during his prime. You gotta remember those years. Yeah. Just like burp. Okay. Joe mauer? He really for me. It is said because I know like you said the decline of his career at the end. And if you like a lot of new a lot of kids, you know, the new people earning about baseball. Now, they are know much about Joe merica, you really hasn't been relevant the last three or four seasons. But like you say a who say such an upfront guy up stand up stand guy. Sorry. Set an upstanding guy. You know, he really had a great character. He really had one of those jeeter demeanor. A lot of respect from for him staying whole career in the twins cleaner that current been easy. But I really think he's, you know, one of these generational night would not let me phrase, he is, you know, like a two thousand baseball player to nine MVP. And I mean, he really has such a great career. And it's such a shame that his knees started give out, and you know, he just could not recover from it. Yeah. And I wanna go back to the point quickly. The peace reset where he was just a situa respected guy and just in things the right way. I think it's really telling that he retired in the off season. Now. Whereas some of the other guys they were tired said they were going to retire after the next year. So that had that those homecoming parade. Yeah. All the different gifts from all the different. But he's kinda downers guy does want any of that. He kinda retired under the radar. Big ceremony announcement, that's the kind of player that I remember him as I think he wants to be remembered as to is just the guy who was there showed up. Just did his job is a just a true were big just the standard is the standard kinda guy. Unfortunately, I feel like for like like just, you know, diehard baseball fans like us. I think Joe Mauer got everything he wanted at the end of his career. But unfortunately, for someone like me, I kind of want to honor this guy kinda wanna throw parade forum. But I feel like he he must have known. You know, there's been the last couple years. All right. My time's coming to an end. I'm declining. He was like twenty eight hundred me my last year didn't say word he was out of the shadows out of the spotlight for a couple years. Now, I think he wanted to be I think he kind of said a respected upstanding guy that I think he just slowly came out of the spotlight, and he's okay with that the urine over he finished it because I'm going to retire. Thank you Minnesota. And that's it. No, I think that's a it was a class move by class move. I know we're getting serious. Getting teary eyed. Cute cute. The sad music music for the produce. We don't have. Yeah. He was just interested world class. Woth us ballplayer world bus guy. Always out there, helping people helping the younger guys sad to see him go. But yeah. And to know that I guess some. He's in a better some pretty sweet stats on them right now. He's a six time all star. Like, I said L MVP in two thousand nine he was considered a catcher from two thousand four two thousand thirteen the remaining four and a half years. He was like a first basement type of thing new those kind of played by injury a little bit. But from two thousand thirteen he is the highest crew batting average for catcher three twenty three. That's pretty insane. Yeah Hughes the us probably the of all the catches have ever seen play. The best at hitting for average. There was a his high school stats. Yes. It is four years. It five sixty nine one strikeout with one strikeout. He struck out once in his tire high school career. I saw that. That's like that's like video game numbers. It's like not real complete video numbers. I saw video him today hitting the bat speed he gets and he's using the non core, bats the ball. -absolutely explode. Voted off. And that's just the thing. He was just such a just a quiet respectful guy played the game. And I think he didn't he I don't know. How to explain it? Not want the accolades to go with it. But almost he didn't wanna get praised for doing his job type of thing. You just can't to work every day did his thing. Yeah. He's. He's gonna bring his hard hat lunch pail. Right. And he's the guy who's playing the small market Minnesota. He's not looking for the big. Ceremony's like big Papi in Boston. Use of perfect sense of that Minnesota Twins Coon say better just Broza heart his hard hat in his lunchbox. What he did? And wishing based question now is he a whole favor. I think so. I don't think. Whoa. I'm sorry. I have I have a couple of things to say though, five times five times, silver slugger three ale. Batting champion MVP six all-star. And I'm looking he's got he's got the most batting tires as a catcher the best. Batting average is a catcher and the best single season on base percentage and batting average catcher bulletin two thousand nine. Yeah. He has been staff for what he's done for Minnesota. We still. Fateful of forty nine. And I think personally twins to be in the hall of fame. You're supposed to be a model of constituency at excellence for the entirety of your career in. I think if he had kept reducing years like he did between in the early two thousands. I definitely think he it would be a first ballot hall Famer. But the fact that he fell off after having maybe five or so good seasons. I mean, I think he's definitely a borderline guy. I think he's definitely closed. I think it depends who is going against him not against him. But. The same pool. I think it'd be it'd be very very interesting to see if he can get in. I mean, we're gonna we're gonna be proven right or wrong in five you, right? You get on the bed. Yeah. The ballot. And I think. I lost. Oh, right. I actually have a big problem with the hall of fame voting committee because I think there's a lot of guys who are not in the hall of fame. The I personally believe, and maybe I'm too young to know how did the guys I should play in their prime because remember they had a retired at least five years ago. Some of these guys that I think so pretty much everyone who's in the hall of fame or waiting was really not in their prime. Will. I was I guess you could take a really comprehend it this fair. But there's some guys were really think like Don is not in the hall fame. You're right. I was not alive to the guy play. But from my research and knowledge on him Thanh mad, and we should be in the hall of fame. We're not gonna let any Joe schmo. Like done that Don valley, Joe schmo is Joe schmo. Joe schmo? I don't I don't know. I don't believe I don't institution where people like Don Mattingly will not be allowed in enter because we're not. They were good. They're good ball players by do not think they're all the same token. I don't think but hear me out on that. Whole favor maybe he'll sneak on his tenth ballot here on this though here on this though, Don Mattingly, six time all star nine time. Gold Glover three times over slugger, and he'll Bank champion AO leader gangqi captain for five years that doesn't count for any open. It does not Yankee number twenty three retire in a monument park. Honoree. How you? Joe schmo non off fame. Those last two stats are maybe actually grew the whole thing. There are some guys. I think should be in some guys who is think should not be there in their antiques for Barry Bonds. Yeah. I think Pete Rose enters dancers. I I need answers. Would would if you ask Don Mattingly right now, you say do you deserve to be in the hall? He would probably say, no he would probably have to say. Of course that real seven over two thousand two hundred twenty two home runs. The whole thing. It's three thousand again the whole same. But that that's just one minor one. Minor dent one minor blemish, otherwise Greek we're so we're so at a topic. Okay. For for the people in the back here. The whole fame. I don't love some of their votes. I don't love how guys don't get in. Maybe maybe I'm just too naive. I don't know for this. Okay. 'cause I guess it was up to me. I have everyone in the hall of fame. Okay. But we're gonna have to see what Joe Mauer, and I don't know because I think some of these guys I think should be in Dr mainly is someone that I'm very passionate about for the hall of fame. Again, they're Donnie one day your tenth about this year. But somehow going to happen. Not not getting into. But he will one day. Just trust me. Trust. Trust our anyway, they're okay, Jane, I really okay juices idea to comb with a segment for the show. We're going to do where we think they're going to go and it's predictions of high free agents and where we think they're going to sign this off season. I need to be kind of cool kind of fun. You know, bring in a new segment we're going to try to spice it up. I think we actually forgot we're choosing season two. Congratulations. I complete regards. If second the second on your offseason doing this over your season two and we've been bigger and better like we said in the beginning of the show. You're joking around about all the progression. We've made the last year I think that's supposed to pension. And it's your receiving through. We will be making some major offseason moves as you just heard the segment, so we are acquiring a lot of free agents onto the program. We're gonna try to be bringing you some lower high-quality contents, of course, new different things. So right. The second show right now. Yeah. This season two were exciting. I mean, we're so happy and blessed to bring another off you guys and hopefully season to their best one yet. And you know, you see the we just keep topping yourself. So yeah. Welcome to season to your work is going to be huge, welcome. All right now that we got our middle inch intro mid episode. Hawaii. Yeah, tool shed. Yeah. We're bringing in our new segments and one of the segments is wherever they be as we follow the free agents because you know, that's always fun. So I think today we're going to go with the guy who's not maybe the, you know, the most interesting who, you know, we got save some of those guys for later a guy guy that we think New Yorkers out there. We got a big Newark base and California for some reason. I don't know if I were told that you're okay. California listeners out there. So matter-of-fact you guys the Johns Hopkins boys and the New Yorkers anyway question begs. Lebron listening to. Got everything you've got a whole your warehouse. And so we're gonna go Patrick Corbin. We're going to come up with some ideas where we think these guys were were. I'm really confusing myself. We're Patrick Corbin is gonna end up this year. And I know he's big the radar the New Yorker. That's how I got into talk about New York. So I think there's a good place to start and you're gauging before. Heart attack or something talking you take it away. Okay. So I've kind of mine down. With very minimal thought when I offered up the segment as suggestion. I really didn't actually think of potentially could. So there's two teams that come on. And they'll show one is the keep it simple one is need Diamondbacks. I think Alice said a couple of ago, I think the diab- will be retooling this off season. That'd be ready for huge run next season that check the tape. I did say that. So they need they need. Good pitchers, obviously to complete that run in the house. Robbie Ray who really good that housing. Zach freaky. Who hasn't been as good as he once was. But he's still very Petra yet that that third guy having Gorman kinda be height food that those dime might resign them. Yes. I do. So that that is my first option. I think that they might resign in that my second this one is kind of interesting speaking of California, I think the dodgers love you my sex. Really they I think with now that the walk. Bueller is decent Kershaw is. They may be looking for that real rock-solid third. Third starter or second slash third starter because hydrate always good, but he's in can says inconsistent, Alex wood, isn't really that. Good. Who is there other starters, racial Richaud? Michelle. Okay. He's probably four. So I think Beulah can probably be a three in work his way up to he can get it. But I think Corbin kazlo nicely that twos. Fought I think another lefty to go another power left in California. And they got the money to pay. I don't know it seems kinda seems kind of enticing to me. And I think it would be an interesting spots seem wind up. He'd stay on the west coast. Stay in the same division. I think I s a western. Yes. In division. I mean, maybe I don't know if the dieback whatever trade him within the division of thinking about it. But I spot that he may show up, and it seems that there's all the right conditions for him to be signing in Los Angeles. I got a couple of things to have, you know, maybe signed more east east coast. I think he's going to go to the Yankees because I know Cashman's really had his island. I think he's good. I think he'd be Janki to ultimately. And he's from New York. So I think that could really work out. Well, and like I said, I think it's gonna come. I actually like I'm thinking is gonna come down to money and the money to spend and Cashman has been known to drop unreal amount of money because he ain't have it for players. So I think there's a there's a chance of Corbin might wanna come home to New York. What we feel? I'm sports guys wanna come home to their their teams. They grew up around. So knows about that. I'm pretty excited about them. If you come them not gonna live myself. But I think he could be going to Philadelphia. You might be a Philly. Been reading some stuff that they're targeting him. And I think the Phillies surprise a lot of people this year. And we don't talk about them enough. I don't know why. But the Phillies might only be a couple of pieces away from being true contenders. Also. They play in potentially the worst division all based also true. So I mean, it doesn't take much to win that division. Just maybe starting pitcher away maybe another middle infielder. And I think it can be a serious shot. Yeah. They've stated that they wanna be buyers this off season. I mean, there's been rumors swirling around about Harper. But but found no hard no harbor this podcast harbor. You don't get your money. You don't get your money for this episode. Money. So. Interesting destination, spas, coordinating. They definitely their starting pitching. Desolate does struggle Philadelphia. I think that is definitely weakest their team. I think he'd be a pretty solid guide of linen giving quality things probably one hundred eighty two hundred as of just consistency. You know? Yeah. I think so I really think Patrick corbin's a great guy to lead the segment with because honestly, I think he might be the top contender for the best free agent starting pitcher out there. Yeah. I mean, he's definitely I think he's definitely the most underrated treated thunder radio because he shade as being shadowed by Harper Machado. But I think he's definitely up there. I think he's pitcher who's a little under pretty good. You had a wound a west coast. I'm going to east coast. And now, you know, we can see where it goes. And we have some more stuff for you guys. Where will you go? Leave some comments jump down. Interim worth Corbett gonna go. We think east coast west coast will you guys? Will you guys coasts are? Anyway, are less thing today. There's been Instagram videos of wide grow junior swirling around him -absolutely dropping nuke dogs on opposing pitchers. You look on the comments. Different his bat like this kid special different color. Y it sounds different. Just gonna put it out there. Here we go. Grew junior. My one investigate the question begs is he Corcoran bans? This is crazy. This is crazy. I mean, it's not that crazy about it. It sounds different this bad maybe because that's made of different material because there's four on the inside makes it sound more hollow at that's what it sounds like the balls behave. Really really not instead of correct am allowed deep not. We boy. Keep going so believing there there are a lot of high profile guys have been caught with cork basil for you know, Sammy Sosa. They also said the same thing to sounds different office bat on precedent power generation question. Mark legroom Virginia not gonna lie, but he's a little chubby. He might be a little bit like stick a little bit of a grand puzzled wine cap into the bat in China gullible yours. Like a second of process. That crazy. Okay. Listen, listen. You know, we say like crazy stuff on the show and these weird flexible. Okay, I'm not Iraq with it. Because that we do we feed off energy. So I think I got stand behind my fellow coast and Flagler junior. We need your bat. We need you to put an Instagram video of you rib, your bad open. We need to have like an empire Rian have when you have like someone come to your house. I'm going to inspect all your bats everybody ever used, and we gotta see this. I'll do one better. Do does your that Sunday graph autographs in a nice autographing authenticated? That you signed it a nice trophy case. And we may or may not open it up, and we may just put it up on wall. Yeah. We might just do that. We'll put up in the warehouse with LeBron. Yeah. And we might get a little x-ray on it because we might might be working there. I'm just saying though bled. We're excited to see what you're going to do next year. Think you're going to be up to the bigs. But I hope you don't have one of those George Brett incidents where he had a home run. Please some issue with the bet you better, be careful, careful careful, buddy. Be actually in be called that. No, we we we'd have to we'd have to be like we have to be compensated with a large sum of money. I'm just so much cash all the sun. I would just look in my pockets and there'd be like millions of dollars. Conspiracy theories hits that we're going to bring you guys. Like Toby, we should just keep coming with these crazy conspiracy theories called one of them one of one of them are going to be right. And then large cash our way. Guy who would just tweet out rain predictions of baseball to tweet out like hundred thousand one. Who's going to be a rain delay with the cubs in then they win like some crazy thing. But the if you look at his Twitter's just like a bunch of ridiculous predictions. They finally got right like a blind squirrel finds out. You know? Yeah. Said Vlady centers your bat, Senator Twenty-three, LeBron Dr Uruguay house manager, LeBron James monitored of them.
