And the idea is to just basically pin Vince wilfork down with the guard and kind of just wash the whole play down and then fold it over, right? And pull the guard through. But the problem is is that Vince, you know, he's not a normal nose tackle. This get off here is so quick that the guard and that little bit of hesitation. I think what really throws it off here is Anderson lining up here in the B gap, he doesn't want to just let him go, right? And so he's got a little bit of hesitation there. And just that moment lapse of hesitation that allows Vincent just shoot this gap right through. If this play gets gets off, like if Vince gets washed down, they got this blocked, right? You know, the tight ends coming out, ninkovich, the guard's going to pull through and hit 25 here, Patrick Chung. There's nobody in the middle of the field there. They're going to go. "Bet online where the game starts. The first player that comes to mind for me is Adrian Phillips just because I feel like I know that's you and I, we've been on this train since the charger stays, but he actually is just a super highly graded player on PFF. He's just been doing his job really effectively, the safety position on the Patriots isn't always the most flashy in the regular season, but it does end up becoming really important in the playoffs the way they utilize safeties against tight ends and things like that. If they do, when they do drop back into cover two things, things that are really important to match up issues and the playoffs, the Patriots are very good and they're always very smart with their safeties. And without Patrick Chung, there was that sort of glaring there. That's their that was their playoff guy. You know, they would like, let pat Jong loose, you know, and obviously Adrian Phillips have kind of a different kind of player, but really still very important in the position. So that's someone who comes to mind for me as well. But definitely. I have to remember to give my prop to Jacob. So, so true. Plus, he's just cool as hell, you know? Just super cool. Coming up, the schedule with 5 games left on the season. They've got bills, colts, bills, Jags, dolphins. So at this point, a lot of people are thinking the Patriots could end up finishing this season 12 and 5. That means they've got one more loss to go. Highly possible, truly hard to imagine, you know, when you say it out loud, that they could win ten of their last 11 games. That's crazy. You know, it's crazy to think. "Just i think that you can't count out the ravens to win the division for for one. You can't count out the steelers ever because it's just not on the record book. Their their resumes says that they win. under my tomlin. So you can't just write that off and say that the browns are going to be the division chad's it looks like it lines up for that because they have injuries and baltimore. "And now they have Adrian Phillips, Jalen mills, Kyle duggar, Shawn wade. They have a lot of guys that they're trying out at that spot could potentially cover tight ends. I think is maybe a role that John wade could hold down. So they're not a 100% sold on their players there. I don't think. I don't think that there are a 100% sold on Kyle duggar, for instance, being the long-term answer as a tight end stopper, right? I think they know that Kyle duggar is going to have a role in this team and he's going to be a good player for their defense, but his role might look a little bit different than what they initially projected. They drafted him thinking that he was going to be Patrick Chung. Maybe he's more polamalu Rodney Harrison, right? And those are obviously lofty comparisons, but just in terms of playing style. So they have been throwing a lot at that spot, right? Just trying to find the next successors. They are parents, whatever you want to call them to Devin McCourty and Patrick Chung. And John wade feels like he might be another name in the hat at this point at those spots. So he could play a little bit outside corner. I don't think that's his best use. I think his best uses inside. So there's another guy. Another guy to throw his name into the hat of playing some safety playing, some nickel corner, doing those types of things. Yeah, no, I agree with that. And look, maybe he develops on the outside too. Like he's a younger player and I think there's a number of ways he can go and they generally like those guys. Yeah, it just a player that they like in terms of the traits. I don't think we should look anything into it. A lot of people on Twitter are asking, does this have to do with Stefan Gilmore? Does this have to do with Jonathan Jones going out of practice early today? I think that that's gonna do putting too much stock in 5th round pick. You know, trade for a 5th round. With Gilmore I don't think so because if they really were worried they wouldn't have Gilmore they were going to give up more to get more. They're going to go get better and they're not going to push on weight and with John Jones. All right, that trade was reported about one 30, so I think less than an hour after Jon Jones get got hurt, you don't get from the initial call to reported in that time frame. Like this was being negotiated before they knew John Jones got hurt. So I just don't think the timeline lines up for that. Right. "Sean wade basket. But maybe Sean way can be a piece. And I want to talk about him as a player because I think this is a very Belichick light trade for a player that in 18 and 19 at Ohio State was playing mostly inside as a big nickel. Kind of in a Patrick Chung type of role. He plays inside and is one of the best DBs in college football in 18 and 19 playing that role in 20 they had to move him to the outside because Ohio State believe it or not finally got a little bit thin at outside corner. They tend to have guys in droves at that spot. But in 2020 they were a little bit thin and outside corner, they moved Shaun wade to the outside to make up for that. And he got exposed out there and it was very, very clear that he wasn't that type of guy. He wasn't a true boundary corner. He's a big nickel, a slot, a money backer, that type of player, a lot like a Jalen mills. I think is a nice comparison. Eric Rowe was another comparison that somebody throughout there on Twitter to me that I think is a decent comp for a guy like Shawn wade. Somebody that's probably more comfortable inside the formation, guarding tight ends, playing zones in the middle of the field and occasionally playing outside against maybe a number three receiver. But not against the other team's number one. And the national championship game when devonte Smith gave him stole his lunch money more than once. Yeah, somebody pointed out too. I guess he played some safety in Baltimore, so maybe he's the reason why I compared him to jaylen mills initially is because he's a guy that can move all around, right? That's right. Versatility is certainly one of his better traits. Yeah, I mean, I really liked him coming into the draft. I thought he was a fit item circled as a potential fit. The other thing and you kind of touched on this, he was considered a first round pick. Some people add him as a top ten pick. He's only been a sixteen game starter once in his career and now last year in detroit right. He's he's spent the duration of his career prior to that in a platoon in three Safety system with the new england. Patriots alongside patrick chung and devin mccourty. So it ideally. That's the role he's gonna play in atlanta like he'll start out as the defacto like free safety starter. But you know if all goes according to plan your mixing richie grant in their year. Even maybe mixing jalen hawkins in there. And he's continuing to thrive in the role that he's thrived his entire career. And that's a three safety looks. So that's kinda my outlook I guess to throw in one. More name You know it seems like this is a five person race Tj green has has been one of the surprise standouts. A guy that came over to the team last year former second round. Pick of the colts in two thousand sixteen has bounced around indianapolis seattle new orleans in in private atlanta. He spent some time in carolina Very good athletic. Testing a six two and a half two hundred nine pounds ran a four three four which is really impressive for guy that size Thirty nine and a half inch for ten foot nine inch broad so guy that has the athletic profile that you look for from db in there is a connection as well. These guys is not playing significant snack. When they do things could maybe get a little bit dicey there back there. So that's where we see exactly. It's the right when they started getting more snaps their scores start dropping now in fairness that could be you know when i look at harmon in you. You realize okay you know. He was in there in the world. That's where he had his best grades. Or i'm sorry not new orleans new england and he finally did get Over a thousand snaps with detroit. He was still decent of his. You know we're looking at his. Pf grade who was in the mid sixties which sounds bad. But it's not like a high school grading score that's sort of an average. Nfl player by their by their metrics prior to that he had several seasons in the mid the high seventies. so harman's got the capability to be a good a part time starter and a guy like you said who is part of a platoon and not necessarily carrying every single snap at position In again for the fact that these two veterans they've been in the league for a while. I think the the intention here was instead of just turning over the safety position which is very important in. Dp's defense instead of turning it over to a bunch of young guys that are unproven. That have never started in the nfl before it made sense to bring these guys in in my feeling. Is the minute the minute. One of the young guys is ready to take on significant snaps. They will supplant eric harris or harmon or both at some point during the season if they are not ready. Then you've got these two veterans on your rental deals and no harm no foul so it. It was a smart move in my mind from tariff on note to bring these two guys on it. This is the kind of signing. it doesn't get you a lot of a fancy points with the fans. People they wanna see. Richie grant out there. Because he's the second round pick they wanna see him jalen hawkins because he was a draft pick from last year but really to stabilize the center of that defense Having news These guys out there. Even if they're not necessarily going to be top tier players. They should be decent enough. And i can already hear fans complaining about. Oh we should want decent players. Well honestly decent players are what you need to help you transition to the next tier of guys to bring up the young guys. These are the kind of guys that help you. Bring along richie grant at the proper speed instead of You know we talked about on your podcast this week. "Another interception a big pass Break Up In The End Zone on a scene ball from Johnny Smith are out from Cam Newton to John Yves Smith, he's got to be up to something like a dozen pass breakups in coverage so far and training camp through 11 days. He has been locked down like lights out on both Hunter. Henry and jaanu wage. I didn't see this coming. I knew Adrian Phillips is a good football player but I didn't quite see this level coming, he he has really been the start of training camp so far, you know, not not obviously by name recognition but just in terms of the way that he has played, I always been the best player on the field especially in the defensive backfield I would say. Yeah, he's been excellent and you see what I have talked about this month for that extra year experience. He's been in the system now, right? And he knows what he's doing, he talked about how helpful that's been. Having that opportunity, he's really able to unlock what he's doing. He was a good player with the charge was like I think he was on, he played on some bad Chargers teams. I think he may be flew under there and one of them made the playoffs but they weren't real good team. Yeah, I think he flew under the radar with chargers a little bit and then he came in here last year and he had essentially learn a new position and he handled it well. I mean he he said that he was still learning things part way through the year, but feels comfortable now, he feels confident, you can, you can see it. I mean, he's been excellent day to day. Like consistently, it's not like he flashed for a couple of days and then disappeared, and then flashed again know every so often that he's going out there and he's making plays. Yeah, he has made play after play after play against jaanu against Hunter Henry. This is not like he's going up against David Wells and and in Matt lacosse Asti Asti and and making these players, right? He's going up against a few big-ticket. Free-agent signings for the Patriots and making these plays. The other thing that I love about this is that if Adrian Phillips is going to suck, Develop more. So into like a Patrick Chung type player for them, or he's going to guard tight ends, maybe play some strong safety. I think this is really going to allow Kyle, Duggar to just do what I've been pounding, a table for and it's kind of roam around a little bit more and not necessarily be pigeon-holed the covering tight ends. If Adrian Phillips can do it at a high level. I love the idea of playing Kyle Duggar either at that, money back position or moving him back into the secondary and having him play as sort of another deep safety opposite of Devin McCourty, right? And being able to move him around a little bit. But wage, I, I love the idea of Kyle Duggar being sort of a chess piece for Bill Belichick. And Adrian Phillips, kind of being put into that role as that Patrick Chung has left behind and I think that's going to be good for the Patriots. If they can do that with their secondary. I think that's going to be the, get the best out of all of these players, right? I think I'll Duggars are natural in that role as sort of a Roamer as a free kind of player in New Jersey. All the defense and I think that Adrian Phillips is a really good cover guy. It turns out and he is just been great. So far all of training camp making plays left and right. "Reading the quarterback and reacting and flying to the football. And that's what I've always wanted. Kyle, Duggar to be, but that's what he did in college. I just think that this is a role for Kyle, Duggar that could take some time for him to develop into maybe and years, three, and four. He finally start to click in man coverage responsibilities, but I just don't think that's his natural position. I don't think that's his natural fit in. We've talked about this so many times. But I don't remember Rodney being a big man coverage guy, like, I don't remember him going one-on-one against a lot of tight ends in that same thing that Patrick Chung did hurt his career, right? Patrick Chung was a corner in college. If I remember correctly, then they turned him into like a quarter safety player. When they got him to, the doctor gave to me. And a lot of ways was a corner in the NFL. Like I, you know, I know that they probably view him as a strong safety, maybe a box safety, whichever way they want to look at it. But his job was to go out there and cover birth. Men's men's man, that, that was his primary responsibility along with some of the Run responsibilities that he had. So the problem that I have with it is sort of I just don't think that Kyle Duggars own natural fit for that, that type of role. And that's why I've always said Polamalu Rodney those guys that he mentioned, this offseason has guys, that he was studying, that's a much better fit to me is a guy that can keep his eyes in the backfield that could watch the quarterback that can fly to the football, be around the ball, be instinctive, be an athlete. I just want to see him do that because every time I see him try to run around Johnny Smith or Hunter. Henry, it doesn't look like he's naturally in his right elements in that spot. Yeah, I the weird thing with Rodney too and I'd be interested to see what you come up with if you went back and you watched that tape, but it's a very different game. "Shots of football outsiders. So the division we've talked about this, too. Now you've got the almanac out. And there might be more more information available here. When you look at how this might go. I am. I'm at a point with New England where I think I'm on the over. I think I'm on the over when it comes to the wind Total, Erin. Um, I still think that Newton I'm still expecting Newton to look like a football player this year, Um, the defensive ads and all the money they spent at the skill positions so What do you think is coming there? We're very high on New England. One of the variables in our defensive projections is how much talent you add compared to what you lose. And using approximate value from pro football reference and giving them credit for getting Dont'a Hightower back from an opt out here. The Patriots add more defensive talent than any team we've tracked in the last 18 years. All right. It's 18 years, Bulldog. Yeah, No, that's um, yeah. I mean, they did lose. Yeah, I mean high towers at the front of the list, but there were were weren't there like five or six guys on defense set out that out last year. They all weren't impactful players necessarily. But they lost a lot of Couple of major defensive players Patrick Chung and high Tower also a couple of offense players, but it's more about not just high power. But the free agents that they brought in like Machu. Don And Jalen Mills and David God show and Harvey Langi, and they've just brought in a lot of talent plus getting high tower back. Denver is also very high in this stat getting Von Miller back and bringing back and signing like counselor and Ronald Darby and Um So we really like New England's defence to significantly They have the best special teams projection because they're special teams are so good and consistent. They have the easiest projected schedule, although a lot of that has to do with the division because the bills have the number 29 projected schedule. Is there some football outsiders stat or data on Newton? I can use In my arguments that he's actually still going to be okay. No. Because I think all the arguments that Newton is going to be okay are about intangibles. The idea that he didn't have a full offseason to adjust to the offense last year. The idea that he's going to have better. You know weapons this year with better receivers. And also, I believe you know, a lot of people believe that he never quite recovered from having covid. Because if you think about it, he was really good in the first few weeks season, and then he got cope it and then he was like a different guy afterwards. I don't know how much to believe any of those things. I mean, we're still projecting that Below average offense. But there is some Truth, I think to a little bit of truth, each of those things How much of a variable if, if any, is Matt Jones in all of this, like, Is there any accounting for him flat out winning the job, Erin, or, you know, coming in if if Newton falters early No, because in general, we assume that if a team is doing well, they're not going to replace the quarterback with the rookie unless the rookie is as good as the starter, so we judge Projections are based on the starter. There's two teens. Where we didn't know who the starter was. And so we split their projection. One was Denver and the other was New Orleans. But the whole Patriots projection is based on Cam Newton with the idea that they're only going to bring Mac Jones and if Newton is really struggling And the same. I mean, we still think that they are narrowly the class of the toughest division in the league. I I think we're higher than everybody on Minnesota. Like there's a lot of reasons to believe in positive regression from Minnesota. There special teams were really bad. Last year, they took sacks at really inopportune times. They were much worse on third down and they were on 1st and 2nd down, which tends to rebound a bit. So there's a lot of reason to believe that the that the Vikings will be better. And Denver Because their defense is going to be really good. And we think that with Teddy Bridgewater, their offense can be apt. And, of course, if they get her Then their offense becomes really good. Minnesota lost too early games by one point each. I don't know if they won the close games like they did they want at one point game that might have evened out for the Vikings, but I also like them. Um, good. That's reassuring our connection. Or maybe it was just me because I'm still remote here at home. Broke up when you said what I think was if Denver gets Aaron Rodgers, Are you still leaving the door open for that? Because I'm I'm still pretty big on that myself. Aaron. Yeah, Our projections are based on the idea that Aaron Rodgers is in Green Bay. I think when you open up the book and Green Bay is listed number two on offense, You'll understand that Dallas Roger stays there, but there is a possibility of him going and the most logical team for him to go to his death. Do you think of Washington? Erin, or what does what does the book think? They come out as pretty average their defense. You have to expect a little bit of regression from their defense, but their offense should be better. I mean their offense was so So terrible last year. Um, so they come out as it about average team, which is about what they were last year. We maybe underrating their offense a little bit. There's good weapons there at a good offensive lines. It's a question of how good Fitzpatrick is. Slash can be right, but we made. We may be underestimating them a little bit by having them under 500, but we don't have them very much under 500, but we have Dallas You have. Dallas is the class of that division with press got back. Okay. Washington is a fun team to talk about and to analyze. Bulldog hates Washington, uh, like the franchise, But Fitzpatrick is such a like such an interesting fit there like they seem to have a really good roster. And I don't know, maybe lots of reasons to hate the Washington. Yeah, sure, right? Yeah. Yeah, I shouldn't have the market cornered on that. I think we've got a conscience. You should hate to watch football organization. I'm not saying different and that's any different. But Fitzpatrick like All the years he's played. He's such a darling never in the playoffs. But i don't know if any of those guys or even the combination of those guys is bolting you into an upper echelon passing offense. It was been the lead couple of years, so if you'll never gets a job again, Whenever school that is maybe we start, you know, paying closer attention there. In terms of Patriots, draft, prospects, that, that was my initial thought. Once you get more than like three guys, four guys from a school on the roster, I look at the head coach and see if there's something here. Bill likes these guys, let's keep an eye on it. So a very Chris Pearson runs a very NFL type program, right and it's a very NFL type passing system in coverage system that they run at the University of Washington. So it's that's I think what attracts them to you know, miles. Brian was basically the Patrick Chung of the Washington defense when he was there and he's playing man-to-man against tight ends. In the slot is doing some of the things and zone defense in the middle of the field that the Patriots like to do. So just a very sophisticated professional passing system in coverage system, Chris petersen's teams typically run with Marvin hall though. He is somebody that in that draft process, I think it was the 2018 draft. I want to say that he was in. Technically, I think he went undrafted, like I said, but in 2018 thought he was seventies 1616. So I mean, natural trends suggest that he's going to come back to Earth a little bit. But my guess is he's still going to be pretty good. I will be shocked if Josh Allen is not one of the top 10 quarterbacks in the league next year, even if he's not the third best quarterback like he was last year. And Erin. They do bring back almost everybody, like the offensive coordinator might have sounded like a foregone conclusion that he would leave. I mean, there was there were head coaching rumors. And that that's right up. I mean, they went. They played three games, and it didn't happen for him like it didn't happen for Kansas City's got either, so it feels like a big deal. I mean, he was excellent and a big part of their success. Absolutely. There are some. There were some really weird hiring this year. The fact that like Nick Syriani, or I can't even remember the name of the guy who is hired by Houston got hired ahead of either the enemy from Kansas City or Brian Table is really strange. But yeah, the gang is back together. I mean, the one thing they're missing is John Brown and Emmanuel Sanders is not the speed threat that John Brown is, But he's you know. Ah, pretty good guy that have essentially your fourth receiver. So you know, like You know, I talk about regression trends and things like that. But as far as like the actual personnel on the field out since it looks like it did last year. Erin shots with US football outsiders. So who's the second best team there? Well, we have. I mean, I will say that right now, In our projection of the second best team in the NFC East. Yes, I would have New England. I would have New England because New England is having so much defensive talent. So we do this thing that is included in our defense of projection system that's based on approximate value from the website. Pro football rest. And last year, the Patriots lost more defense of approximate value than any team in the last 18 years, which is how long we practice. This year, the Patriots are adding back. Maura approximate value on defense than any team in the last 18 years. Right. And that was that was free agency departures and opt outs, right? I mean, the opt outs were were a big probably Well, you tell me. Were they a big factor? It seems like they lost some important guys to opt outs. Got a high tower in particular Dont'a Hightower is huge, and his return is gonna be huge. But this year that the guys who opted out The other main one was Patrick Chung. And he retired. So really, they're just getting back high tower. But you ad match you. Don you add Henry Anderson, you add divine God show you add Jalen Mill. You lose a couple of guys like Jason McCourty, but they just they've returned and added so much defense talent. But I think the Patriots are going to go back to having one of the top defense is in the lead defense is air harder to predict that offenses. Based on what we know about defense, the Patriots are likely to have another really good defense that will help balance out the fact that we have no belief that we should expect anything above average out of their office. Well, what Cam Newton looks like is one of my I find it the one of most interesting questions in the NFL. I mean, you've got Belichick and the career that, he said. It just seems that there's just there's not gonna fool around right, like Newton look bad at times, Aaron and Just you got to give him you gotta give Belichick some benefit of the doubt here that he thinks He's going to get a lot better out of Newton, and there are reasons to think that but I don't know. I just don't have my hands, hands around what they really expect him to look like what they expect from him. There's two things. The first is, How much was he hurt last year by the talent around him by the fact that he was throwing toe not great receivers with no tight ends whatsoever. On Now he's got much better weaponry. The other is was he heavily affected by Kobe? Because, remember, Newt look really good in the first couple weeks season. You expect New England to get whichever the fifth guy would be if the draft went the way it went on. And what do you know about Jones? That would make you confident or not confident. "That You know, Jack's is a veteran, they liked him last year and I think you could put you know D version as a guy who they signed this offseason. He's very similar to Jackson. I think they're sort of veterans with experience, they had some, they've shown some decent play and so they like to have them around. I think DeAngelo Ross flash big time last year in training camp and I think that he, he gets an opportunity to sort of be the next guy at quarterback for this group and then, you know, and then, yeah you're right. You know, miles Bryant is, another is a whole sort of different conversation. Is your safety is the quarterback. He's really small. But I think that, I think they like the versatility that he brings and also that he can do, he could play both ways. Also, you know, we, we should also mention Jalen Mills because I have a feeling that Jalen Mills for this year, might help at cornerback if needed and then, yep. A year from now, when McCourty. And Adrian Phillips are free agents. Maybe he moves a safety then, but I think they, they certainly have their choice of guys. I like Ross, Ross, I think he's sort of the next. If you're looking for a guy to be the next Malcolm Butler, the next JC Jackson as the undrafted free agent, it's D'Angelo Ross. I mean, that's wage. That's been what he's shown to this point. You could also make the argument for Miles Bryant, but I think he's just different cuz I think he's he might ultimately be a safety. I mean, for him as an undrafted rookie down here in Covent, everybody loves to make excuses for players and covid-19 really sing the Praises of guys who actually didn't use that. As a crutch or excuse wage went to another level, but for an undrafted rookie in covid-19, To play at times and both cornerback and safety for the Patriots outside of emergency situation. It's unheard of, I've never I've never seen that before. And so, you know, sometimes he'll a little bit physically in terms of how he plays. He's a guy. Remember Nick, I think we talked about this in the last offensive podcast when I talked about, all right. We talked about Gunner and now he remade his body from one year to the next humor like. Okay. Now we looks like an NFL player he didn't before I think Miles Bryant is the candidate. My candidate for to show up in a got your mini camp in June and were like holy crap, who the hell is that guy? And all of a sudden, he's a real player, sort of, you know, nickel Joker, whatever type of player. I think he has he him. And DeAngelo Ross are sort of the next wave and I'll be interested to see what miles Bryant looks like this year physically. And where the Patriots, put him to open up minicamp because what he did last year. Underrated underappreciated how big that was what? The Patriots asked us last year. All right, let's jump back to safety here. Because, you know, I feel like when Jalen Mills signed with the Patriots it caught us at least many of us off-guard said, wait a minute, Jalen Mills huh? What age? Then Patrick Chung retires and you look at McCourty and Phillips being free agents after this year. And you go. I would certainly make the case that he was a better free agent signing than he was a draft pick by Bill Belichick that he was much better in his second go around and look Belichick is even talked about it. He he misused Chung the first time around they figured out what he was really good at minimized his weaknesses, which was basically like he could not play in space birth. His life like he just he just couldn't so you needed to get him close to the line or on a tight end really close and he was good to go and he was really tough help the team win 3 Super Bowls did, you know did whatever Belichick wanted as far as this contract a contract and stuff like that? So Patriot through and through his his retirement explains a little bit more about Jack Mills being here. I think they're very similar, you know, including that they're coming from the Eagles before coming back to the Patriots. But you know sort of a feisty under six is Nick is Ian Nichols corner is the safety. What can you do if you cover tight ends, he's tough. He likes to Yap a lot Chung like the Apple odd, but they're very very similar. I can see Belichick watching Jalen Mills on film as being like, hey reminds me of Patrick Chung and you know trying retires which isn't exactly good for the salary cap for the page. It gives them a little bit of a a hit this year, but look no question. Great Patriot. And and the one thing about the Patriots is it'll be interesting to see about the eight players adopted out this year because of covert guys like Dante Hightower and and Patrick Chung and so on and And you know their return to the field is it would be huge. Absolutely. I think that has been one thing has been very overlooked Nick Shub with rushing touchdown for the Browns to put them on the board. What do you think, though, will be the Patriots starting quarterback next year if you had to venture a guess. Oh, boy, you know, I don't know. I mean, there's reports out there that won't be Cam Newton will be back with the team and someone will they go the route of the draft? Um, well, they orchestrated trade. I mean, you know, there's the usual suspects out there, along with You know, a few aging veterans that people are trying to speculate could be made available. You know, Carson went to the name that's getting thrown out there. You know, Matthew Stafford is the name has been thrown out. Even Matt Ryan's Name has been thrown out there. And so what? You know, I don't know the validity of someone, but I would send That this would be more of An experienced quarterback coming in here to look for New England rather than a you know, unless they go and they're they're not gonna draft high enough to get you know. Fields or Lawrence and so on. So it'll be interesting to see what Bill Belichick thuds. And, you know, Yeah, obviously hasn't been in this situation awfully long time. And, um, but be honest with you if I was the Patriots I'd be looking for an experienced quarterback. And drafting like crazy to fix their defense. What happened to New England's defense? Well, I think what you answer with the previous part of it is don't know Dont'a Hightower know Patrick Chung, among others, but again, and a little bit of regression from from Stefan Gilmore, who ended the season with an injury. So I think all those factors probably come together. Speaking of the gas, we continue the quarterback carousel. Which team do you think will feature Mitchell Tre Biscuits? His quarterback next year will be the Bears or somebody else. I think it will be the bears. I mean, I think he's shown enough. Um, down the stretch here. I'd be surprised. I mean, The worst it listen and ask the Cleveland Browns. What it's like to stop and start and stop and start and stop and start with quarterbacks. Okay? I mean, they've been back in the league since 99. Actually, Baker Mayfield is their 30th different starter. 30th Okay? And, um, it's like changing head coaches every couple of years. All right, There's you've got established some sort of continuity, and that's been the Browns biggest problem. And, um, you know, that's an issue if you give up on a quarterback on the Bears have had their own quarterback issues. Finding someone. So one Monday, Jay Cutler for quite a stretch. But he never really delivered the goods. You know, and you know, they really I know the NFC title game and 2010. It was 10 years ago. I haven't been to the playoffs a lot since then. So, um I think you have to know. I don't know if you sign Mr Risky to a long term deal. Okay. I mean, he'll be. It'll be What to just see what they do with him. So one, But I think they'd be making a mistake Rich obviously, given the progress that he's shown, and here's the thing about two biscuits Okay, Everybody can lament and people lament. The New England Patriots are now up to seven players who have opted out of the 2020 season wide receiver Marqise Lee informed the team of his decision to opt out on Saturday. The 28 year old told reporters that his newborn baby born in January is the main reason for his decision. Lee signed a one year contract. With the team is a free agent in April.
