"So you got fired a month to do his job and was rehired less than 24 hours later because his entire team, including the sun, some of the owners are protested. Yeah, protested. And said they were not going to play unless he was back. So a guy that has had that track record for getting players to buy in, same thing with the islanders. Again, when you're in a team coach by Barry tried, so you're known for having the identity of stingy grinded out team, but as a guy who helped run their defense, he played a very practical and hands on role in terms of getting that defense to be a team that was tough to play against. I think they were in the top ten in fewest goals against per game in all four years with the islanders. So it seems like a guy that wherever he's gone, he's done a very good job at getting guys to communicate, get his message across, get guys to buy in. And so for this team, if his main objective is getting more offensive capabilities out of this decor, seems like a pretty good guy to take on that task, especially if it's something that allows guys like mcavoy or grizzly would have you hit another gear in terms of their offensive production. I don't think you're going to see Brendan Carlo all of a sudden be a 15 goal score or what have you. But if he's able to get if he's able to get more production or just more adopting more mindset of finding those shooting lanes of not being afraid to take a shot and maybe in the past, you'd be chastised for being a low danger shot. If it's all about finding those lanes and capitalizing on them, seems like a pretty good guy for kind of the objectives or the bruins are mapping out for this roster. And that was something that bruins wanted the past couple of years. I remember even Cassidy mentioning this after the hurricane series in 2020 and the bubble saying, we need to get more shots through from the point. And over the past couple of years, it never really took place. And again, hampus lindholm helps with that. It does not help the Charlie mcavoy is going to be out for the first month and a half, two months of the season. Of course, I could be out for a month. So that definitely hurts, but I do think when the lineup is healthy, I think for the direction they want to go in, Gruden sounds like the guy. We will see we will completely say, again, it's an assistant coach, so it's not like he's going to revitalize the whole system. But good to get a new voice on the bench. You know, they got one last year in Chris Kelly. They've had Joe Sacco now forever. I know Joe sack was nothing to do with the defense, but like Joseph has been there since I think like what 2014. Quite a while. Quite a while. And you have goalie bob, obviously. So quite the assistant coaching crew Gruden and interesting hire should be interested to see what he does. But Connor, what can people look forward to from you over at Boston sports journal? Yeah, Evan, we're going to continue to break down the off season as we await some actual tangible news surrounding increased version on David creche. But until that happens, we'll still have you covered every step of the way. I think next week we're going to do a little bit of a dive into prospects and we usually do a prospect ranking every year during the off season, so I think we're going to commit to that undertaking next week quite the undertaking.

"It doesn't really do anything for me. The worse it's you're pretty bringing back the same roster with a worse coach. I don't really know how that moves you need 11. No. It doesn't. It doesn't at all. And now Elliott Friedman had said on his 32 thoughts podcast after a game 6 cup finally said that he was talking about the lightning assistance interviewing for jobs, Jeff halpern and Derrick lalonde. You've mentioned halpern a ton and the past bunch of weeks. You turned a lot of people onto that idea. And Friedman mentioned that he didn't the brews are going to do second round interviews this current week. They could interview those guys, but I don't think they're the overwhelming favorites. That was kind of the vibe he gave. Like they might talk to them, but might not, you know, wouldn't surprise them, but it's not like overwhelming favorites or anything. The tough part is, you know, who also needs a new head coach right now. The Detroit red wings. And you know who runs the detour at red wings? Stevie why? And who do you think hired?.

"Would not be fun. Especially when you look at that roster and where it'd be next year, if all the only change you can really make is bergeron. So whether that's trading guys like Craig Smith or I recall are buying out Nick foligno or moving Mike Riley, you're going to have to subtract from this current NHL roster just to free up cap space, which one is a necessity. And two, if that's the case, you're moving out NHL talent. You better be adding capable talent back or are you desperately need some of these younger cheap players to hit on kind of the minutes that they're going to get? It's like that meme where the soldiers are all lined up against the wall and then there's the clown. The clown. Ruins would be the clown and with the avalanche and the lightning in there. So out of place. But you're a 100% right. You have to free up space because as we get to, not only do we think that they're kind of with the lineup right now, they're headed to be a middle of the pack team. The moves they're making front office wise and what they're looking to do with the head coaching position also indicate that. This is going to, and we're going to kind of get to this later on more in depth, but this is a middle of the pack team. And again, it's hard to move away from that because you don't have a ton of cap space. That's why I think as the weeks went on with bergeron, you know, people kind of being like, mount bergeron might not return. I think a lot of people came around to the fact that like, you know, if they stink this year and rebuild and do it quick, then it might be worth it. And I think now that he's coming back, it's like, oh, great, first run's awesome. Yay. But for the rest of the team, it's like, I don't know, you're still where you're at. You're just delaying the inevitable where you're going to have to do this at some point. Now, first one wants to come back, like take them. You know, obviously you don't like saying no to Patrice bergeron. But I don't know what other, they're going to have to get creative when it comes to filling out the roster and changing it away from the problems that they've had in the past. And it looks like, finally, the guy who's running the show in the front office will be getting his extension. That was reported a few days after the bergeron thing by Joey Mac again. Bruins and Don swinging have finalized the GM's contract extension, which we've been waiting to hear for quite a while, almost to the point where we're kind of thinking, you know, is there a chance? Are they going to give him the axe too? I think I've made this joke before, but it's like in The Dark Knight when they're doing the bank robbery. And everybody shoots the next person. So it's just like, you know, this Cassidy, sweetie shoots Cassidy, runs downstairs, nearly shoots him and just continues on..

"Yeah, again, I mean, it's a completely different team. And it's been rare that the bruins have not had those two not on the ice together. It's been a long time. I can't even remember the last time that they were out for an extended stretch of time. And you're seeing, again, bergeron retires, you got so limited down the middle. And you know, again, Martian is not retiring anytime soon he's not pulling an Aaron Donald, which the Aaron Donald stuff was interesting. I had not heard about the retirement stuff. Before the game and then Rodney Harrison just kind of dropped it in the free game. Yeah, no big deal. And then it was talked about a little before the game I like Michelle to fly on the sideline and it's like, was this like do people talk about this before? Did it just like spawn? And now he's like potentially retiring. So none of that with Martian that we know of. So he'll be around for quite a bit. But again, it kind of hits at this like, you need both. And I don't think that, you know, let's say bergeron does retire after the season. What do you have with marchand? Like Marsha has a great play driver, same with pasta or not, but you need that legit number one center and you don't have it. You do not have it. Outside of bergeron. So it comes down to again, that's why this deadline could be one of the most important that the bruins have had in years, which we say every year, but I really mean it this year. This could have a lot longer to 2023. It would be the same thing, but honestly, considering what the window is. Yeah, every year going forward for any more important in terms of charting out the future because we've said it before. I don't think this team is going to sell or are they going to completely blow things up. And again, I think you look at the state of this team. Can you really blow things up completely anyway? There's people who talk about they should just trade everyone and all of a sudden get into the sweepstakes for the dad sweepstakes. No, I think the floor of this team is also too high that even if you like bergeron retires and you try to sell off tradable assets like the brush, Craig Smith, all these other guys, they're still not at that tier where you're hovering with Montreal and Arizona. We are going to have a viable chance. Maybe you get the.

"And so again, I don't see the fit either. I don't. There are way bigger holes on this team. I think if you do get a second line center like a Miller or a hurdle, your set, not just for this year, but for potentially future years, if you want to go check in, which I don't think they're going to do, but if they did, you have him for future years to someone like flurry, I just don't. I don't see it. But I mean, again, I think it kind of boils down, and this is something we'll talk about down the stretch is, you know, who's going to separate themselves as the starter on this team in the playoffs, Omar swayman, and can you even go on and off? Can both those guys play in the playoffs somehow, I'm not sure how you do that. But maybe because they're playing like this, they get used to it. They have the hug down at least. We saw after the game in Ottawa. The hug is back. The chemistry is good at least. Who's going to separate themselves as number one goalie still to be determined, but I don't think it's going to be flurry. No. They're going to three goalies to Florida on the hug too. They'll jump over the top. These are personable guys. So maybe it works out. But yeah, I don't see flurry. I don't see flare coming here and again, I mean unless it took nothing, unless it was literally like a second round pick, which is not going to be the case. I don't really support that move at all. Anyways, to the team on the ice to the actual bruins team. They are currently without Patrice bergeron and Brad marston, Cruz bergeron will not play on or tonight against New York might join them on the trip. Marchand is on will be missing game three of a 6 game suspension. No game three. Game three, and he will Bruce Cassidy be in New York on Wednesday for his appeal. So if he somehow gets it knocked down to three games, maybe he's back in time for the Thursday ambient sea islanders. We'll see. I'm still think maybe he gets a game or two knocked off. I don't think he's gonna be in playing in New York. So we will see. Maybe in his appeals this is in person, he can show the NHL like how the punch felt. You know, he can put a bully mask on the guy doing the hearing and just see George doesn't even hurt. A million times, George. He gets a stick and pokes him in the chest. But life without those two is not great. Not great. And the results kind of speak for themselves, right? You lose 6 nothing to the hurricanes and just a complete debacle at TD garden. Fans should be asking for their money back on those tickets. And then you beat the senators to nothing. I would say they dominated the majority of that game. Probably could have had a goal or two extra. But still won. The team without professional win, you know, you got what you got, Charlie Coyle was like the best player among mcavoy as well in that game..

"This. This February 15th and this is the bruins beat on CLS media. Welcome to the bruins beat on CLS media, my name is Evan Marino. He hope you guys have any great day, a great week. Hopefully had a great Super Bowl weekend, did something cool for it? Maybe we're there. Or as people Blackburn said on Twitter who wouldn't want to just sit on the couch and stuff their face. What's the fun and being there when you can just sit at home on the couch with a big bag of chips and some beer or maybe you're having soda or whatever it is and just eating away, drinking away. Personally, I just chilled. Just chilled, ordered our chicken sandwich from a local restaurant. It was delicious. Watch the game, even get you hungry right now. But it was a good game, Connor and I got into it to start. Just a little bit. But in this episode, we talked for a while about these Mark Andre flurry rumors at the Bruce might be a dark horse than him and we kind of discussed the pros and cons to someone like flirt. We also got into life without bergeron and Martian as the burns are going through right now. And what it kind of exposes in this bruins lineup. And we also got into the potential of this Frederick Coyle Smith line working. What happens if that's a good line? Does that become the third line? Who slots in up top? So a lot of interesting moving parts with that. We also get into Jack studnica. And what his value is saying with Jacob bruss, what their value is in trades and where they might fit in the lineup. Going forward. So fun episode, as always, remember to go support our friends over at bed online with our promo code CLS 50. Without further ado, here's my conversation. With Conor Ryan. And we're here with Conor Ryan. Connor, what is up? Evan, doing well. How are you doing? Doing great. Doing great. This is too straight weeks of you back on bruins beat. It's like we're getting back in the rhythm of you coming out. Slowly getting you back in the loop on this. But how was your weekend? It was swell. Watch Super Bowl went with, I thought, I hope the Bengals were gonna win, but alas. It was more realistic. I was like, you know what Aaron Donald is going to absolutely obliterate Cincinnati's offensive line? Sure enough it happened. Adds terrible, as always, which like, I feel like it's very much an old old man grape to be like the Super Bowl ads are bad. It's like realistic now. Everyone's got like Twitter and YouTube. People are getting more creative. You don't have to wait for the big game for you to drop like a good ad anymore. So I got 9 understand that comes with a territory, but it was good. No complaints as of when the time this podcast drops. Hopefully be you will be being part champions. We will scrub this audio from the podcast. So fingers crossed there. But how are you doing? How was your weekend Evan? It was great. I actually had to do a bean pot preview video for the championship for the NCAA, and I predicted be you to win. Hurt me to do it. Hurt me to do it, but I did. I had to make a business decision and I did it. It was a good weekend. Fun times, Super Bowl was great. You're right, the ads were terrible. The only ad that I actually remember was the crypto dot com ad with the barcode that went on the screen..

"Player because he's getting people to tune in data heim ducks games and care about it and buy his jerseys and follow both him and the team. And I think every NHL team should be striving to get players like that because that's what really helps move the needle. Yeah, well, also that's what an elite player is. When you watch an elite player, whether it's in a practice or a game, your consciousness or your awareness, your awareness of what's possible expands. So if you're watching, let's say Crosby or Patrice bergeron, well, you're seeing how it's possible to play hockey correctly by the book in almost every circumstance. So in a way, your mind has expanded, but then you watch whether it's ruby hints or Connor McDavid or Trevor ziegler. And then you see other things. But that's what elite players do. They redefine what's possible and what's practical and what you can do on a consistent basis. And then the whole game moves forward. It's not just the easiest thing. You imagine McDavid there. Every time he slices through three defenders for a highlight real goal, I post the video of it and you see like weird reply guys pop up in the mentions and being like, oh, the defenders should have taken the body there instead of pop watching and it's like, well, yeah. Thanks for the tip, but while that might be technically true, it's also easier said than done. And there's a reason why he's the best player in the world, and we should celebrate this accomplishment because it's really cool. So I don't know. It's always weird to me when people focus on certain things like that and latch onto it as kind of like a defense mechanism or whatever rather than just acknowledging how cool of a play I was. Well, once again, I think it shows limitation how you understand the game because when Crosby or sorry when McDavid skates into a one on three with the puck, and he feels like he has a decent chance of coming out of the pile the other side with it. He knows that there's a forearm too off the puck. So actually, he's doing his teammates a big favor by taking on that one on three. So for.

"Insta dot com or 8 7 7 to 508 7 7 500 and so say we sent you and enjoy the great T-shirt and enjoy the great time that you will have there. So the $1 million question Kirk. What is the future of Patrice bergeron? Where does he go? Obviously, the contract ends this year. He said he's going to see how he feels at the end of the year. That typically doesn't always mean good things. And your expert opinion, where do you think? Or what do you think happens to him after this year? Well, it's probably my in expert opinion because I have David crochet thing totally wrong. It's no big deal. I stand by things we're going and I should have never gone out with that. I got over my skis there, but you know you live and you learn. Yeah, it's hard to say. Bergeron is wired differently than most. I think family really matters to him. And he's at that. He's at that stage of his career where his kids are younger and getting older and getting to that stage where they're going to be more involved in hockey sports, maybe assume they're going to be hockey players and that might be a bad assumption. But he goes on, you know, he's not. He's not driven the way the same way Tom Brady is, you know? He's not motivated by snubs and slights and people doubting him. He's always that's another great thing about version on that invention is he's always been really comfortable in his own skin. He's perfectly fine just going out and playing and winning games and winning Olympic gold medals and world championships and world junior championships. And Stanley cups and for him, he's not, it's not like he's out against the world to show everyone that they were wrong, because I don't think he ever really felt like he was doubted in the first place. I think he was thrilled to be drafted by the bruins in the second round. He is different in that regard. So I don't see him playing until he's 40 41 42. I could be wrong. But I think he's probably going to be, you know, he's probably going to be more leaning to the path of, hey, I need it's time to it's time to take care of my family. What more really do I have to prove? He doesn't have to prove anything. Walk away from the game tomorrow and he'd still be a first ballot Hall of Famer. And he's closing in on a thousand points. But again, David creech was closing in on a thousand games. And I thought, for sure, he would see it through, you'd get to that thousand game NHL milestone. And then walk away and he didn't. So these guys are motivated, motivated by different things. I could certainly see when Patrice. And I really believe he'll probably finish his career with the broads, how much longer it'll be. I don't know. I don't want to speculate. That's up to him. And I'm going to respect his wishes to where he said he didn't want to get into it. I'm going to respect him by not speculating what he's going to do. I will just say that when he walks away, he's going to do it because it's the times, right? And he has a chance to be this family..

"Because he I got to see how real he was. And I was just, I was just really taken aback by his maturity and how serious he was. And it wasn't like he was saying things like, hey, I'm going to go make the bronze at 18. And I'm not going to sit here and say, I knew he was going to do that and then he was a future Hall of Fame player. But I figured he was going to be something because he was so unlike most of the typical teenagers I had talked to in my draft coverage up until that point, and even since. He had already hired a strength and conditioning coach he had hired a skating coach because he knew his skating was subpar. He was getting stronger, and he understood that, you know, with him, he's not. He wasn't overly tall. So he had to have that strong core. I think what keeps 18 year olds typically from reaching the NHL is not that they're not able to skate or they're skilled enough. It's that they're not strong enough and teams are concerned that with a guy like Jack Hughes. Exactly, right? And it's an 82 game season in teams. If they're drafted a kid in the first round, especially higher, or higher up, they have a really important investment in that player. And so what they don't want to do is ruin their investment by either rushing him too soon getting him hurt and destroying his confidence or any myriad things that could happen if you have an 18 year old in NHL. And so for a kid like bergeron to make it as a second rounder, he obviously had to demonstrate that he had the ability. But I think one of the things that really helped him was his maturity, his focus his intelligence and then ultimately, he was a strong, thick core. You know, he guys would try to hit him and blow him up and he would just absorb it. And he was so smart with a lot of times it wasn't in position to take a direct big body hit and things guys I was talking about these quote unquote shutdown. Stay at home defenseman. He made he made snacks out of those guys because he was just a lot smarter and he wouldn't allow himself to get into that situation where they could physically manhandle, let me stay out of away from their reach and he used his own vision and instincts to make plays against guys like that. And then it just, as he went on, he got he got more experienced and we're so fortunate to witness the tree's burger on his career in Boston because it almost didn't happen. When he got hit from behind by Randy Jones, there was talk that he might not ever be the same player. He might not, you know, and he was one hit away from oblivion. And let's be honest, that hasn't changed. He suffered traumatic brain injury and that stuff always stays in the back of your mind, but what he's been able to do in his career since 2008 when he was late 2007 when he took the hit. He's learned to protect himself better and again is experiencing his awareness has allowed him to play a smart brand of hockey to where he's not necessarily in those positions to where an opponent could put him in a situation where he has career my name..

"But somewhere the things we're pretty good over these past will really just against the red wings on Thursday night was Patrice bergeron four goals incredible all three of the four are being power play goals that sort of revitalization of just of the power play and birds run and you tweeted this, did very well on Twitter. 800 likes. That's never something to sneeze at. You can't be mad at that. You said on the train home after the game last night couldn't help but think about what Patrice bergeron has accomplished for this franchise. 36 years old and a four goal game, something he didn't do at 24 or 25. Like Tom Brady enjoy every moment because when he's gone, won't see another like 37. And they nail it at the end because you won't see another, like Patrice Berger. And I think that's something that a lot of people are sort of figuring out because when you look at the bruins over the past, ten to 15 years, there's been a lot of players you might not see again. You're not going to see another cedeno Chara 6 9 dominant both ends for as long as he was not really going to see someone like that. Took a rasc, another guy. I mean, you'll see really good goalies. But it's hard to lock. And you know, that's really hard to lock down as consistent and as good a goalie as to ask for years and years. Even a guy like David craic, you know, you're gonna have a good other centers, but it's hard as the demonstrator over the past few years to develop a really good, you know, patient center, like creche, and Berg runs on another level. Because the leadership and everything he brings. And I think it just goes to show people should really kind of appreciate what's going on now. Live in the moment a bit, because as you said, ain't nobody like bergeron. And they're probably won't be again. So I think you nailed it with that. I mean, where does he rank and sort of the guys that you've watched and understood in a sense? I mean, where is he on that list? I feel like probably at the top. He's one of the greatest of all time..

This episode is much longer. Than most episodes you do. And I would say you're correct, you're correct. This episode is much, much longer. You're not much, much longer. You're probably just much longer. Then the normal episode I had on Kirk lutke this week for the first time ever. And had him on to discuss the Berlin's defense of issues, some offensive issues. And then we got into a really interesting conversation on Patrice bergeron. The last probably ten to 15 minutes of the show. So it was worth it. It was very worth at the time was worth it. This is very worth your time. He gives awesome insight he's a really smart guy, and he's been doing a hockey journal can't recommend it enough. So he'll be someone that let me know. I think he's someone that we should definitely have on a bit more, very interesting guy. And yeah, so that is today's episode. Hopefully you guys enjoyed it. "I don't know, but they got the whole team thinking that craigie's coming back. Yeah. You know, I look at the way the season's going and the season long storylines we're going to have to keep on talking about and you've got the burgers are on thing now, which I don't think it's going to go away the entire season. You've got to grasp and the door being open for him to return, whether that's a good decision or not. I hope after David craze press conference that he had with his new team where he pretty much was like, no, I'm finishing up this whole year in the Czech Republic. That's going to quiet some of those rumors. Apparently not. I think we're going to care about this the entire the entire year. And again, you can jump through a whole bunch of hoops to justify how crazy you can play the entire season in the check and then join here before like the signing deadlines up where guys are eligible for playoff hockey over in the NHL. And you know, maybe that's what happens. Maybe I don't think the team joined in the check extra Liga is particularly good. I don't know if they're going to be in the playoff hunt. Come February and March. So maybe he wraps up the season and jumps right back into the NHL. Maybe that's the case, and maybe that's why, you know, Don Sweeney mentioned it. Patrice bergeron has mentioned it, Bruce Cassidy has mentioned it, which keep on talking about it. You have to imagine it's not there's, I guess some smoke there, right? There's got to be something that I don't think he just tossed that out there. When you look at, all right, he's not here. We're moving on. This is a new era we have to prepare for the inevitability of these guys leaving. You'd imagine they wouldn't like entertain talk like this. I'm like, well, you could be back. You know, and who knows, maybe they're just talking about 2022, where he's a free agent again crazy and they go from there. But the fact that keep on mentioning it adds credence to the fact that maybe something is on the table, maybe they maybe that's playing all along. We'll find out. I feel like it's going to be one of the situations where the scene is going to end. In the check, and we're going to be like, all right, well, what's the situation going to be? And then we'll have the next day he's just going to be at warrior. He's going to be like, they're just going to have him in the depth chart. He's going to have like the little Michael Jordan. Like piece of paper, I'm back. That's what it's going to be. Yeah. No questions. He's not going to even back. That's what it's going to be. Business as usual. Businesses. Exactly. I am curious, though. Watch them do nothing at the deadline and then be like, crate trees are deadline acquisition. He's coming back. And then something's going to happen there. Or this would be an issue. He's not, or there's going to be some sort of contract issue or something that we don't know. And then they're going to have nobody going to be like, damn, our deadline acquisition is to kind of fell through it, isn't it? "Captain Patrice Bergeron spoke to the media today and was asked about the game plan heading into the rematch. Have a better start. You know, I think that that's the main thing we talked about. Even after the game last game is, you know they came out strong and they got the better of us early on, and we got better as the game went on, But then you know, you can't just rely on that. And the Celtics are back on the court. Tonight, They will host the Detroit Pistons at eight o'clock. Brian Antonelli WBZ Boston's news radio, Well, 6 13, and we're having a time of it on the expressway per usual. Subaru Retailers of New England all wheel drive traffic on the threes like you brought to us by Yankee Custom truck. It seems like the same time every Friday night to call the North Bound Expressway. A complete standstill. Coming up from Braintree with the left lane crash after Furnace Brook Parkway. The backup reaches well before Route 37. It's now reaching onto the top of Ruth three up into the splits. Oh, yeah, just a real problem at the start of the expressway here. South down. The expressway is good coming out of the tunnel. Slow going Mass after self bay. But surprisingly, it's not bad After that. Route three is clear all the way down. Pass route to 28 tonight and Rich 24 95 south. They're both fine coming down from 93. Another problem is downtown. The Tobin Bridge, Outbound jammed all the way up and over. It's a crash at the bottom of the bridge on the Chelsea side, keeping it down to one lane there Well, Storrow drives eastbound is backed up a little bit coming into leverage Circle. It's pretty slow on the left right up ramp, but the lower deck of 93 is fine. And so are all the airport tunnels up north of the city. Things are finally good on the upper end of 1 28. Roots three and 93 north. They're both pretty good up to the New Hampshire line and out to the West. The Mass Turnpike is good now..

"1 16 1 11 final, albeit without guards, Kemba Walker, Marcus Smart and Peyton Pritchard. Still, you leave late. You want to win coach Brad Stevens. I just told the team like I've been around a lot of losses and winds. I hope that I'm consistent and calling it how I see it, regardless of results. And I thought our guys give good effort. We struggled to get stops late, but the you know the last two Orders. They made a lot of tough plays, too, and deer and Fox and Halliburton are handful Jason Tatum and Jalen Brown combined for 48 points trip continues tomorrow in Los Angeles against the Clippers make it points in nine of 10 for the Bruins With last night's 43 overtime win in Philadelphia. David Posture knock netted a hattrick, including the tying goal in the closing seconds of regulation. Patrice Bergeron scored the winner in the first minute of OT rematch tomorrow. Also, team Canada named these general manager Don Sweeney, the club's assistant GM. The 2020 to Beijing Olympics. Adam Kaufman, WBC Boston's news radio, and check the roads now and every 10 minutes. We do traffic and weather together. The Subaru retailers of New England all wheel drive traffic on the threes. How's it going, Laurie? Well, we haven't worked throughout on the expressway South on right now, Jeff, they're filling in potholes out there, so they're kind of like, sporadically stopping and filling the man, so just be aware of them. South on right now between Columbia Road and upon sit circle Now the North Bond said the expressway has not recovered just yet. That continues to be tough granite have to the Pont circle it against happened Hill to Southampton Street downtown. Looks like this lever connector is still jammed and and getting onto store or drive. The Tobin though, is okay. Airport tunnels look just fine for us right now. Trying to get the snow off the road is still 4 95 north mind the ramp to Route three, and a little connector is closed for snow removal. Same deal for 95 south on To the little connector and Route three. So keep that in mind. It's gonna go on for another half hour. So they're things continue to move pretty well for us elsewhere. But 95 north, unexpected ways that usual slow moving south from the pots of street to 93 Laurie granted, the BBC's traffic.

"Speech he gave during game six of the cup final where they're facing elimination, which blew the doors off Saint Louis and that game and their own their own building all those guys afterwards. It wasn't about you know, the cliche dances of you know, we were good on the forecheck, you know around in Parks or anything like that. A lot of it was just need those speeds version gave and their commitments not wanting that season-ending that way. So yeah, I mean you kind of Trace all a lot of the success for the Bruins on ice off a lot of it is a trace back to version women who admitted or not. He probably won't in terms of his role and all of it of course, but he's just been a Monumental piece for the Bruins in terms of just his successor over the pretty much the whole tenure that he's been here. The brownie now going into is 17th season. So it's definitely Testament and title that is absolutely deserved and not a surprise to anyone. No, not a surprise. I think there's a legit case to be made the best thing to happen to Brad. Marchand was Patrice Bergeron. Oh and that first Bergeron really was kind of the the guy that set a guy like Marshawn straight cuz there was a real. It was never like Sagan but you know, like it was known that Marshawn like to have a good time and you know, the the the the celebration after the cop was she was well warranted. I mean you want to kill a cop like absolutely but you know the stuff on the ice and sort of his Antics on it was more on the ice stuff. It was him being AWOL from the Stanley Cup DVD cuz he was not in the state to do his recordings, which it was a great little fact about that video. If you watch it. He doesn't he's not have they always have you know, the talking head things. He's like not in a I don't think cuz like yeah, he wasn't available. So yep. So there's that too. So it's things like that that you know, I think it feels like you know as marshmellows are got older and matured. You know that happens as you get older but I do think that the best thing I think one of em, most, you know responsible pieces for Brad Marchand becoming an elite, you know Point getting Winger in the NHL, which I don't think you know, if you go back to the beginning of the 2010s, I don't think many people pegged Mars is like, you know, a top-five left-winger at some point is career. And here he is. He might particularly might be the best one player. This is arguably argument to be made for that. So a lot of that is Bergeron like that girl was you know, they've been linemates whole time. He reached his best friend on the team, you know, first runs been like the biggest influence on him. So I do think that it's absolutely possible that Bergeron is probably the best thing to happen to Brad Marchand back on and off the ice. So I think Bergeron obviously definitely, you know deserving of the the captaincy, but when you want to make safe bets like Burj Becoming Captain. There's only one place to make a bet like that. And that's betonline.ag absolutely Heaven. Listen up guys. It's an exciting time of the year around the Sports World. We got NFL and college football play-offs are in full swing the NBA is back and sure enough..

"Welcome in to poke the bear episode 55 presented by betonline.com Aronofsky here with Conor Ryan Conor. What is up Evan? I'm Splendid. How you doing? I'm doing well. It's been a fun week of this Bruins and you know, it's fun to have that again. It's fun to like have consisted news and things to talk about and opine about missed it. It's been great. You know, it's we've gotten quite a few feels like we've had multiple days where you and I have left Warrior and been like there's way too much stuff to dissect. I think you know, we've there's a lot of different stuff to deal with but I would much rather wage has a couple of times but I'd much rather be having too much stuff to write about than just sitting around and my sweatpants watching like mess and reruns. You know that got old back in like April, right? So yes, but the back in the spring Things and again whole bunch of stuff to get through especially considering the training camp is a short as it is it's funny when I was in quarantine as the listeners know back in like mid-november, I would sit there and act like, you know 12 in the morning or whatever and I just kind of be like, you know hanging out and I'd flip on nests and there'd be like a game from like a Bruins game from like nineteen ninety-eight like oh this seems kind of interesting, you know and all this so Dom, um, but it is fun to have like real stuff being up and you know, being up late and typing out stuff and getting stories in and posting stuff. I miss it. I missed it so much and I'm so glad wage. It's finally back. And so this obviously this week There's been quite a bit of stuff to dissect first piece of news the worst kept secret in hockey Patrice Bergeron named the captain of the Bruins game on Thursday afternoon almost wasn't I do one done almost was not I do Wonder in that video Marshawn gets handed the jersey with the c on it I do. Wonder when they cut to Bergeron you can't see it cuz you had a mask on but I do wonder if there was a second where it was like is this a joke, there's money if they really committed to it and like actually treat it out like a press release like imagine if they like me like a full announcement. So like five minutes, of course, you could never do that. But just imagine how much like hockey Twitter would lose it shit off if that happened. So, I mean I'm for actually rolling the back cuz like yeah the video there's like that like half second where you see Bergeron his eyes are just like glazed over we were like, wow, this is really happening. They even had they committed hard enough to put the C on marchand's Jersey. Oh, it's like yeah that you have to tell like women person like hey take off like 5-10 minutes out of your day to put a c on a jersey that you're only going to take off later on. So I just find that hilarious cuz like I mean you have to think this was never a competition. Like obviously was going to be version on the entire time. If you're the Bruins PR people, you're probably thinking like okay, how do we make this like the funniest most interesting?.
