"I'm J T, There's Miranda Lambert's and CMA's are tonight. But Miranda says artists upper CMA entertainer of the year in 2020 to be judged by a different standard than usual because there was no touring. I think it's a well rounded category this year, and it's also a year where it's less about shows about your whole image and the whole thing that you encompass how you represent yourself in the industry. And you know what you mean to country music, and I think that that's a cool way to celebrate entertainer of the year. There should be a lot of fun once again. CMA's tonight. Joining us now Michael Bauer with the latest on the challenges to the election. That Michael Welcome in thanks for being here with me this morning. Thanks for having me J. T. M as it stands. Owen 12 so far for President Trump's lawsuits filed in order to try to get ballots counted or stopped, or in the case of Michigan last night, the lawsuit there to try to get them to prevent final certification of the state's election results until there's further investigation, for the most part what these judges are saying about the cases brought forward by The Trump campaign is it's largely based on hearsay that they need evidence. If you're going to bring evidence that the judges will hear you out if you're going to bring here say they're going to throw you out, and that's what's happened so far, largely across these lawsuits in different states on that will be a challenge for President Trump because the Michigan case that we're talking about they filed last night. According to the Detroit Free Pat Press, is also based on hearsay. Now, the other part that's become interesting, and it turned into sort of a high drama All college 80 like a like a Kardashians almost sort of social media drama is the fact that according to what we've heard, some of the foundation for the Pennsylvania lawsuits came out of a whistleblower who worked at the United States Postal Service. In Erie, Pennsylvania. And that whistle blower heard the postmaster there in Pennsylvania directing staffers to backdate ballots that were mailed after Election Day's deadline. They were taking ones that came in late saying, No, they were here on time. That's the claim. But according to what we heard in the why the story broke yesterday was that the US Postal Service Office of Inspector General had interviewed and had investigated this case, and that worker recanted their statement and actually signed an affidavit to the fact that they recanted that. That's why the story was released. And in the Post Office inspector general took that information to the House Oversight Committee, and the story was broken last night, however, then, in late news last night that individual on YouTube posted a video, saying, I did not recant anything. I did not sign anything and I'll have more information for you tomorrow, which is just really thick drama to be basing lawsuits in Pennsylvania, and frankly, what we hear is that the attorney general's statement yesterday about investigating further was also based upon this whistleblower report. But now we don't know exactly what that whistle blower report means. In fact, the Department of Justice is involved, obviously, and taking a look at all of this, But you're right. It seems a lot of people have. Well, I saw this or somebody told me about something This saw. And you know, there's just got to be more substantial, You know, solid proof in order to get something serious going here, and the clock is ticking on this. Although did you hear our Secretary of State Mike Pompeo yesterday a bit of a controversial statement about about the transition. Listen here, there will be a smooth transition to a second Trump administration. Wait. Here we go. He's been a little bit there. Yes, Yes, He's pretty confident. So as we have a December 14th deadline for the electorate's to do their thing. They've got to get going here. Your thoughts on where the DOJ might end up with this. Well, that's gonna be a question. I mean, look, the DOJ also said in their statement that they they wanted to make sure that all valid believes off fraud or any valid investigations were looked at. And that's exactly what I think you would expect in any of these situations have happened was just a clarification more than anything else from the DOJ, So I think that's going to be interesting to see what they're looking into. But again if there isn't an element of Of evidence, then that's going to be the key. And the only thing that kind of stands against this is this new report that came up in The New York Times today, where they called Ford recalled all 50 states over the last two days to talk to the election boards there to find out if there was any fraud or irregularities throughout those states during the election, 45 of the state's got back to the New York Times and said, No, we experienced nothing. The other five Didn't get back. But parts of the state like Harris County in Texas did get back to the times and tell them no, We didn't experience anything, either. So largely across the board those electorate officials are saying they have not experienced any broader irregularities. The only thing we've got right now to stand up against what President Trump is saying about those lawsuits, and they don't have any evidence that they're bringing to the table. Yeah, There's just so many people out there with videos and experiences of seeing all of this, And you know, when it comes down to those things, some of it looks suspicious, whether or not it's actually suspicious, you know is up to the judges on whether or not to hear that evidence. You know, you see a lot of time so These judges that have turned president away have been. You know Obama appointed judges or are in, you know, democratically left leaning jurisdictions, and it doesn't seem like Residents going to get a lot of cooperation unless you actually see somebody with their hand in the cookie jar doing this, But there are a lot of people would say. Well, that in fact is actually happening. So maybe things will start to ramp up as we get closer to summer, 14. But, yeah, We're on the clock on this one. No doubt. All right, Michael. Thank you so much. It is 7 18 Alabama's Morning news. So what's the market doing? Jay Ratliff day trade. Fun dot com will take a look in three minutes. Alabama's morning news..

"At. and. Then she got penalized and lost the whole ended up going on to lose the match and it's like come on now I get the I get the thing in the sand. Time. And I don't know that's a tough one NARCAN. Well. You word. The first thing I asked get her was. To win a match that way. And we went back and forth and I finally concluded I said you know what? I would have to call it because. Somebody would call it on me wrecked and it's the charity of the overall. 'em Hey well, where it's a little different than that get her because it's matchplay. So you're over texting the field like calling out a cheater for cheating because only you are playing this guy in a match. But if he's a really good player, he goes on beating you. You're right. You're right now would affect the integrity of it and rules are rules for a reason they're not guidelines or you shouldn't or you should their rules period they're meant to be black and white right Gabi so that there is no. Well you can't. Of the bunk now they now they know because that's why you wouldn't have another book that his ruling on the rules. Well, that's true that would go along with the rules are the rules attempt to black and white right but they can't always identify every area. This was not even a gray area. This was a what are you doing? Bro, like literally, I've never seen caddies do that like that's your players job to get in the bunker and hit the shot get out of the bunker dummy well, said, he didn't touch the sand to. bullcrap. Video you wave at the sand. Okay. You don't wave the Sanford from an inch away. So I, I have. I have the conversation after this happened. A fire you well, I'm GONNA fire you. See Now I did you way? Where we're playing heads up matches one on one, but they had a foursome. So I'm playing my guy, this guy's playing this other guy right and he snap hook he snapped hooks one from with, and there's a pond on the left, but he is down on the bottom of a hill, right? and. So he can't see the pond at the time. So gets up and looks at me and he goes I just dropped from up there. Right? And I looked at him and I said while you're going to have to make a determination as to what you WANNA do because. We're down here under the hill and there is no proof I did not. See The ball go into the. Pogo in I don't know but that's your match and he goes well, what happens he don't I go you get a drop it right there and played stroke and distance right and He did he ended up losing the hall but I'm like Dude, you make your own call. I'm just telling you just asked me what the rule was and I told you what was you play? Your own gang, the the roles went off to those who don't play. The game are mysterious handler stupid and people get all up in arms about him. But their rules for a reason because golfers can be cheaters and devious little you know what's and so therefore you gotTa have you got a bright lines of say, can't do this can't do that must do this must do that. Yeah I mean it's Your. Share. So fire here someone was. Pat Press said. Is One shot from the partner. Squad ever. From the park just Roy mcevoy, he'd lost. And that's a good. That's a good rabbit hole to go in I've got another rabbit hole forty, but you can go look at caddy fights with the players and they've got a might and there's a whole thing on youtube but. I. Didn't do it really hold on to his credit hero window Oliva Pinto after his match that he lost because of his stupid ass way to lose your master on the eighteenth. What did you see as you were looking over that four-shot? What happened ideal idea I wasn't. Just near the flag was trying to get a good read of what I wanted to ball to balance everything soon as they get back there. Count some comes up and my caddie what happened on I'M Like I'm just trying to get the shot near and make an up and down win win match. And apparently he touched assigned or something and. That's that's a penalty is a whole so. Yeah. He was classy about at your wormhole for the weekend. What to say I'm. GonNa here's my wormhole for the weekend. We're throw this at you quick two, six, three, two, one, thirty, nine, fifteen, and sixty, nine. You know what that is. Why I've been hit I've been hitting on a track man. Those are my numbers on my driver, average distance, average, Kerry ball speed, launch angle, and. Ball height but just to give you some comparison. PGA is three fifteen to seventy, five, one, sixty, seven, one, nine, or ten, point, nine, hundred, ninety, six. But So, what was the l.? That you don't hit it as far as the tour pro, but the LPGA averages to forty eight to eighteen, one, forty, thirteen, point two and seventy, five to one. Help me player I hang on the LPGA tours. But now with Laura Daniel. But That's Laura Davies but that's a rabbit hole. You don't want to go down and. The one thing I learned hitting on it is you don't hit a shot and look at the track man because it'll mess up your whole practiced for the day. But it'd be a good weekend buddy. Thank you out. There you go. Kb afternoon drive withdrew Olson. Later, right here on the game coming up, we'll talk to wags brewers lose to the cubs were off to a great start. Yu Darvish was filthy. Can. We get these brewers bats going. We'll talk to wags about it next..

"Studios this is red eye radio hello and welcome she is Gerry McNamara Aymeric Carly as we move into a Monday Gary well the the spring game still continued over the weekend it'll probably die here for the next couple of days but it wasn't filled full force yesterday especially on the Sunday morning news shows I would hope that there will be Republicans who will be willing to step forward and say whatever the political consequences if this was Barack Obama had done this they would have voted to impeach him in a heart beat threads actually that fraction of the evidence it shouldn't matter this is a Republican president that's ridiculous fall so that's that's just a doubt that's absolutely false that was I should find a state CNN's a state of the union hers Devin noon as probably the first time that they actually realize that this whole Russia thing was the hope and the Ukraine thing is our hope I am the Democrats are a joke I and that was Devin Nunez on fox news interview on on on fox news so you saying it's good for the GOP yeah that all of its good for the GOP also coming up here on the show today what we know about the fight is a story from Friday impeachment polling continues to come in thanksgiving photo food preparation polling I like this one okay meeting the media media bias story from last week it was a story that that Reuters and both and also the French press had a writer said the French Pat press had it and it was the the story on children in detention yeah right and and we never we never got to it last week but it was a perfect example of media bias because they they have you know the hundreds a hundred thousand of these the children in detention yeah right and then they found out this dance they got were during the Obama administration yes and they didn't correct the story they simply drop dead just drop the story they get a leader the story yes all together and and so as we have said before media bias by mission and you come up with the story trump is evil trump is Hitler trumpets concentration camps all sorry this was Obama never mind yeah make the story go away now if you if Adam Schiff was talking about the fact that if it was Obama also on the way has the Ukraine always been a conspiracy theory for downs we have the story on Friday of a number of news outlets that had reported on the Ukrainian problem hen New York times hit by conservatives yesterday saying excuse me you were one of the your your problem the news media that broke the the Ukraine story on getting involved in the twenty sixteen election with the whole Paul man a fort right thing that right you're one of the first to what to do it so that coming up the the Eddie Gallagher story which really the the the case should I say which I again not really gonna spend much time on it you know we know that we know the story on the vast majority of what all the vast majority of serious charges you know premeditated murder all of those he was acquitted on every you know really on everything right and now the one thing was taking a picture with the with the terror soldier with the Taliban soldier right the Taliban about was a telephone or I just a mind like here for awhile well whoever the the opposition was some and look as we said before we set up before heading out officials don't get to run the Pentagon the commander in chief does the bureaucrats don't get to run the state department the president does yeah you know it's it's insane you and I were going over this during the pre show meeting and it's just one more case of people and you know and the line essentially in the in the line of command below the president that believe it's their call that they should act in this way look if if the now former secretary of the navy wanted to go to the president or the secretary of defense and say Hey look if if we're going to you know do this my opinion is that we should take Gallagher's tried that he should no longer be a navy seal that's my opinion I just wanted that input out there officially and that's it you want to do that you want to speak up about how you feel then that's one thing you don't get to supersede or or go out on your own and do something that hasn't been passed through you know the the proper chat well you could your superiors or the commander in chief well you he could he could go through with it with the with the you know through the judicial process yes you know in in in the navy he has the ability to do that but once the president said yeah that's that's where the problem came in one yeah but once the president said I'm sorry right not going to do that president gets to make the call I wasn't look who's who of us was happy with Obama when when they changed the rules of engagement in Afghanistan right and we were inferior to buy it saying this to get people killed right American soldiers killed did anybody say that he didn't have the authority to do so but we talked about I mean we talked about it endlessly about you know give them their rights and everything else on you know the Miranda rights in the field are you can write right it was just it was asinine and and but did any of us say well beyond how dare you know how dare he doesn't follow what what the other people in the Pentagon wish to do now he gets to make the call yep so we're really that's I don't know much more to say on that top president gets to make the call right in the story California pot taxes to increase on January first the industry not please because they wanted the opposite you know you would set in a long time ago you said legalize Papa don't tax right because it with everybody was I mean the whole you know going back to the normal movement you know in its early stages that it started almost immediately legalize and tax no no legalize don't tax it any differently than you would any other product now the words of there's a sales tax in that state you know for certain product for any product then you apply the sales tax otherwise don't start applying these special taxes because the problem I had with it wasn't that they were going to tax pot it was that that if we allow the government if we call on the government to start creating special taxes based on behavior where does that end well and the other thing is sent and this is where you deal with the real world of free enterprise it was those on the left that had these grandiose ideas here it is you produced you produce the marijuana you tax the hell out of it and you ensure that small business gets to take the lead right sorry you can't have all three no when you decide to tax when you decide to tax it all of a sudden the big companies will get in because they can predict what number one the cartels will still above you know will will still be there plus you give more incentive because frankly it's more expensive to manufacture the small business level we had said this a long time ago and by the way the schools across the board when when the left claims all work for small business knowledge tax everybody corporate taxes need to get opposite small businesses don't play pay corporate taxes and as we said what you do is you give incentives to large manufacturers who can manufacture because of of of greater automation and a much greater supply that they can produce you make it easier for them this is where you get into the dream world of liberalism as we've talked about before okay boomer and it works giving said that wrong my my emphasis was wrong okay Bulmer O. J. boomers next year will be the fastest growing job demographic well you know I mean you have to ask yourself who was it that that actually wants to work who was at that actually still has work ethic you know you get and also needs to pad their retirement a little more who have it yet both in the United States and Great Britain will be the fastest growing demographic down you know age demographic for hiring and the climate change football game yeah the Harvard Yale game over the weekend that we stopped for over an hour as protesters hundreds upon hundreds would not leave the field it was great to see yeah right I was getting the biggest kick Santori out of it because you've even that yes piano at you know whatever news you're watching it head on Twitter immediately when it was going on it's like okay I got a **** this and they're just sitting there and they sat there for a while before the police you know basically forcibly remove them but you knew that was going to happen sooner or later I've always wondered why the left hasn't tried to disrupt football games before so when that happened wasn't surprised about that one really at all so that more coming up place your calls and the comments here on this thanksgiving week can be a good week yeah I hope I brother but I already been on vacation told you Friday said on a vacation already in my mind I don't know why yeah I'm still doing the show but it's like I'm in this the mentality was you know and just make it better I think it was because when I came in Thursday that's when everybody in my neighborhood already have their Christmas stuff all set up but everybody out there yesterday all my neighbor the ones that had been set up I think the ones that were I think the majority of the ones that have their Christmas lights done by Thursday had set them up professionally yeah yeah okay then they all look like professional jobs okay and so but it was Saturday and Sunday that all my neighbors were out you know the ones who were actually putting up their own Christmas like right it's like three or four hundred dollars or something to have them put up professionally is that what it is yeah I actually enjoy you know decorating like that putting up lights on the exterior yeah make it easy because I have my my my Transylvania's tree Sam these lights I've a White Christmas tree these lights it's just light it up like a concert and I put that in the front window and then all I do is have I have a permanent spot lights out you know or or you know landscaping lights right and I just have different filters might change my house color every night just you just drop on the one filter pick up the other one in yeah and so that was really all.

"So this is kind of a difficult story to do I know it's holiday time it's a festive mood but what is this story really got me thinking about a lot of different things you may have heard this story scene in The Washington Post the Detroit Free Pat press CNN is covered it and some other websites have and and news outlets have done so to so we're all lawsuit happy these days and we all want to sue everybody for everything this is one though that I think will at least give me some pause out I don't know that I'm looking for a lot of money to change hands here but at least the kind of getting their story out it's the story of a young man who whose life ended last year at the end of last year tragically he took his own it took his own life and one loved ones gathered for the funeral of Mason holler burger this eighteen year old young man they expected to celebrate his life but instead according to The Washington Post and CNN and others it didn't really turn out that way instead a priest told hundreds of mourners that suicide is wrong you said this repeatedly and talked about the way that the eighteen year old took his life well this was last December it was almost a year ago Mason's parents are still very angry about that and they're suing the priest the church in the archdiocese of Detroit the archdiocese is we can't comment on litigation the priest has had no comment these people want compensatory and punitive damages so they they they want some money here they want some punishment punitive damages and they want compensatory damages I don't know exactly what they would be compensated for but they said the first thing they want to do is prevent this from happening again the some other family I don't know a whole lot about Mason only was a straight a student in high school played linebacker on the football team and then he went to the university of Toledo last year I don't know how the wheels fell off for what happened but the suit says that after masons that the parents met the priest the priest had never met Mason didn't know Mason before the funeral they never told the priest that Hey how their son had died and the priest never did ask but of course somehow the priest did know they were stunned at the funeral when the priest started condemning suicide in front of Mason's five brothers and sisters his classmates and his many friends he said Mason may be denied admission into heaven because of how he died now many of these people who were at the service had no idea of the cause of Mason's death they didn't realize that he had taken his own life many of them became very upset very visibly upset the priest said suicide is condemned by the church he said it's a secular crime and it's a sin against god well while the priest was doing his homily the father of Mason that would be Jeff Holland burger said that after the first few times the priest mention this this suicide thing he yeah he approached the pope but tried to whisper in the priests here and ask the priest the stop but the priest would not the archdiocese did apologize to the family shortly there after saying they understand the unbearable situation was made even more unbearable and difficult and they're very sorry they said the priest is not going to do any more funerals at this time that he's going to have a mentor is homilies will be approved and reviewed and then approved the priest said god can forgive a suicide but we must not call what is bad good we must not call what is wrong right because the pre says we are Christians we must say what we know is true the taking your own life is against god who made us and it's against everyone who loves us our lives are not our own the priest said they are not ours to do with as we please well masons mother said they they had discussed the priest what they wanted they wanted a joyous uplifting sort of celebration of Mason's life they had absolutely no idea he would do this the hollow burgers have been lifelong members of the church but they're they're not happy well the end of the service the the plan was for the it's to get up and and say a few words the priest was supposed to allow this to allow the parents to deliver some some remarks instead he ended the funeral signaled for the for the music the start of the organist to start playing the funeral director had to go over and stop the organist so the family could stand up and talk about their son and his life the parents say that there are.

"Pat. Perez Pat press has got a great Instagram feed. But he's not on Twitter. I get us suffer everybody. But I think that you clones would like it. You should be on it and hit me up. Like, I'm looking at it right now. Sports Illustrated tweeted a link to an article that they have. And it's we reads it's been almost twenty years since Atlanta hosted a Super Bowl, and maybe for good reason at Baskin revisited drama on and off the field from the ice storm the dot com ads. The actual game itself, the murder and more all those things all those things. But you know, it's amazing. If I had to pick one thing from that. It would not be quote the murder. Or even the game. Was there? Twenty years ago. I remember that week distinctly. And if I have to pick one of those things off at sweet the ice storm the dot com ads the game itself, the murder and more. I'm gonna go with the ice storm. It was unbelievable. How cold it was that week? And the reason I know that it's not one of those. Yeah, Rome, how hard could that have been you going from your car to a convention center to radio SA that was we did a TV show that week? And as is generally the case not now with this show, not with the CBS sports network. But when I've worked for other networks when I worked at ESPN where I worked at FOX when I did other things this show is not not present the show the way, we do it right now, a CBS like this show will be done in radio row and done expertly, and it will be an amazing setup. And it will look great, and it will read great, and it will feel great. But all those. Other years where I worked in other places, there's always some outdoor venue because they always want the shot or there was some kind of. Client Tien, but we did that show my TV show. My daily TV show back then was done outdoors the week of the ice storm and not only was done outdoors. They took it from the half hour to an hour because it was Super Bowl week. You have no idea. How freaking cold it was? And there have been some cold Super Bowl. It's like the Dallas. We did that TV show outdoors to that was cold. But nothing like Atlanta. I can't believe in twenty years. I will never forget that week on never forget Redskins owner Dan Snyder walking up to the set I've never seen a human being look more miserable than Dan Snyder in understandably so like yes muscle guys with him. And they walk them up. He's looking at me. Like, are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? And then some of these guys I tried to get a second segment out of because it was not a half hour show was an hour show. And they look at me like Rome, you got your five minutes. We're at a year. It's minus ten men was called that was Atlanta. And to be honest because of that, I haven't even looked at the weather yet can somebody down in what is the weather going to be like next week and for the game itself, and again never mind whether or not the game was indoors or outdoors. It's it's when you have to work outdoors. Luckily, we don't have to on never forget those walks from the broadcast side back to the hotel. There was nobody on the street normally during the week of super ball. It's a party every single night there were shutting down parties. Nobody could go outside. It was freezing. Probably reason why they haven't been bathroom in twenty years. But I'm expecting a much better week this time. I'm expecting a much better week this time. I'm expecting to. Nobody will get murdered this time. Public allegedly one eight hundred six three six eight six eight six trying to find the weather myself right now, not having a lot of luck. It's not working anyway back to Rick in buffalo. Ricky buffalo came in. I mentioned that man was on his game on his game today. Here's a part of that. If you missed it and one more thing about that little turtle men the t shirt that bit should be wearing say without Tom Brady. I feel waiter. So he's getting reaction ethnic Palumbo tweets. I can't get enough or in Buffalo's calls, but my man is going to have a G D heart attack during one of them in the jungle. At jambo. Once tweets Jim kids watching and learning from Rick how to properly mop-up chocolate milk spilled in the lunch room is not called being a teacher. It's called being a custodian war. Rick getting locked in the bathroom by a bunch of fifth graders while making his call in a stall. Dear jim. Does widow Wiki in buffalo need a baba. Silence. Sarah. War Buffalo Bills fans. Crying for thirty years. Here's the thirty more. Does widow Wicky in buffalo need, Bob. Aw. Science serote. Rome. War. Rick making his students. Call him Mr. in buffalo. Chatting Orlando ward, Jack Nicholson's giant neck. Rome without that guy. I'd be a waiter also side Adam Hauck informing his newborn Jonathan Ray about his boss Jimmy Rome, Aaron in Omaha war, Rome. Gifting me an early birthday president of a SCO fro interview. And one more about Rick. Raging. Rusty tweets. Jim what Rick in buffalo doesn't realize is his attempts at jinxing. The pats are working in reverse. He called forty one to ten losses against the chargers and the chiefs and he just called a forty one ten pats loss in the Super Bowl. Hey, rick. If you want the patch to lose you better. Shut your hole Rams forty one patriots ten. And then this guy resets couple of tweets. One rates have no fear. Ross. We have at silk bra on our side, superchargers forty one to ten. And then the next Rick tweets Brady's best Deynekin dunk or of all time throws a means screen pass and a killer seven yard out won't travel. Well to aero head Seve's forty one to ten at jimrome. And they lost both games. I'm not picking against him again. Again, I'm not gonna sit here and guarantee that they're winning, but I'm not going to pick against them. I'm not going to guarantee a pats win, but I cannot pick against them. And it sounds a bit like, Tom Soula? Jim soula? I've learned my lesson. I've tried to bury these guys enough and every time I do it. They ripped the shovel out of my hand and smashed me in the face with it. I would say. Badly wants to because everybody is riding the pats. Now everybody is throwing down with the past. Everybody's throwing him with the pats. And whenever I see that. I always want to run the opposite way. Always. But then every once in a while every once in a while, the sheep are, right? And there's a reason why everybody's going in one direction. I'm looking at something right now that says eighty two percent of the bets are for the pats. That's pro the action network. Eighty two percent of the bats with the pats. That is an incredible number. That's a no brainer. Normally when I see a number like that. I don't even have to look the match up. I'm just going the other way. But then when I see what the pats have done, you know, that whole rap about their too old dare to slow. They're not talented enough dare to banged up. They don't travel they don't play while on the road. And and most of all this team is nowhere near as good as some of the hoodies other teams. It's all true this isn't anywhere near as good as some of his other teams. And it may not matter because they might be good enough to win at all in all those things about them being all too slow to banged up. Hell I'd make the same argument. I set it before the charger game this past team is not as talented as the chargers. I'd make the same argument before this game. This team is not as talented as the Rams may not matter may not matter matter all I know is of I was one of those guys saying all those things, and I got burned I'm not picking against him. Again. I can't guarantee the win. But I can guarantee that I will not pick against them. Is that Tom Soula enough for you? Would not say that I wouldn't say saints fans you need to hear what I'm about to say. Not so much time as I could I wouldn't say I bought you as much time as I could we're going to get into it. "Some of your more about Instagram, Pat. Perez. Pat press has got a great Instagram feed. But he's on Twitter. Again, I suffer everybody. But I think that you clones would like it. You should be on it and hit me up. Like I'm looking at right now. Sports Illustrated tweeted a link to an article that they have and tweet reads it's been almost twenty years since Atlanta hosted a Super Bowl, and maybe for good reason at Ben Baskin revisits the drama on and off the field from the ice storm dot com ads. The actual game itself, the murder and more all those things all those things. But you know, it's amazing. If I had to pick one thing from that. It would not be quote the murder. Or even the game. I was there. Twenty years ago. I remember that week distinctly. And if I have to pick one of those things off the ice storm the dot com ads the game itself, the murder and more. I'm gonna go with the ice storm. It was unbelievable. How cold it was that week? And the reason I know that it's not one of those. Yeah, Rome, how hard could that have been you going from your car to a convention center to radio Asaha that was we did a TV show that week? And as is generally the case not now with this show, not with the CBS sports network. But when I've worked for other networks when I worked at ESPN when I worked at FOX when I did other things this show is not they did not present the show the way we do it right now with CBS like this show will be done in radio row and done expertly. And there will be an amazing setup. And it will look great, and it will re great, and it will feel great. But all those. Other years where I worked in other places. There was always some outdoor venue because he always want the shot or there was some kind of. Client tie-in, but we did that show my TV show. My daily TV show back then was done outdoors the week of the ice storm and not only was it done outdoors. They took it from a half hour to an hour because it was Super Bowl week. You have no idea. How freaking cold it was?.

First time emailer. Heard the podcast last week and yesterday segment with the legend, Pat, Perez me and g rods. Little sister, Ariel Rodriguez are expecting baby Liam Gregory any day now respect to Pat for repping g rod throughout the Tonia, Tori, and bringing awareness to an issue that affects so many of us signed MAC in San Diego war Jhirad in wore my baby coming out crying, less more of a bad ass and with bigger Honus than Jeff in San Antonio. Matt good to hear from you. Thanks so much for that. Pat press came on yesterday. That was great. That was amazing. And then Pat got on Instagram, and he posted a pic of the interview that we did he said something like, you know, it wasn't quite as good as the podcast. We couldn't get as loose as the podcast. But it was still a great time. And he nailed it. Like, Pat, Pat knew where he was. But Pat, unfiltered is like is good an interview as there has ever been in sports. And I was doing my best to kind of give you the listeners to this show some of that. But you just can't like Pat Pat light Pat at fifty percent, Pat at sixty percent. Stay there. Ricky, I'm coming to you first. It's another Email from yesterday. Rome. What an unbelievable show yesterday at Torrey. Pines it sounded so good with awesome. Guests swan to comment on that late by by Bob bag furred and that quote chapter blast. Hey, bob. You smug fake, baking Kook, your horse should have been de queued. And you know, it Rome handled that all time jobbing with straight class. Maybe you should have some to Mike on Toronto were shared belief in war, the five blind rafts. I really quickly. Just a reset that. So Mike Smith hall of fame jockey came on the program. And then when Mike left he started a walkway, and he said Jim this was off the air. He said GMO talking to Bob Baffert on the way in and I said that I was going to come onto your show and Bob said to me oh, ask Rome. If you still chapped about the Breeders Cup Classic. And he had a great laugh. Good laugh about that. Just bobbing, Bob. And again for the last time in that race, we had the favorite horse, his horse smashed into our horse who then got smashed into again, and we finished fourth and Bob wants to off. I'm still chapped quote that was his word. He is he still chapped the thing about that. Is that that thing that happened to us? I don't mean to be a D bag about this. But I'm skipping exactly what that cost us literally millions of dollars literally. And I'm not doing that to be a bag. I'm not to get sixty percent of the purse the purse was five million dollars. Okay. Fourth-place gets five percent of the purse. Millions. So my still chapped. Yes. And then the other thing was and I'm not going to say it's not about the money because it's about the money. It's always about the money. But the thing is if sheriff belief would've won that race, and it's not to say that he would have put he came in fourth three and three quarters lengths back of a couple of horses. He'd already beaten on the worst possible trip. If he wins the race. It's one of the most famous races in the world, the horse is already in the hall of fame, which would mean the world to me since he passed away. So to answer the question. Yes, I'm still shaft except chapters. Not the word that I would use the word. I would use is pissed. But Bob, and he's so funny that he thinks that's funny. That's just Bob. That's Bob Baffert. He just is getting out of the whole thing. Of course, it's getting out of the whole thing. He's got my money. And he's got the trophy. But again on my hair to crack back and cry about him. We're back in business. He trains another horse. Did he has one of our horses that I'm partnered up on? So we literally I mean, how can I be we're back in business? So he's just kind of pimping me. He Mike Mike grass won't be still chapped. Yes, Bob, I'm still chapped, and it will be five years from now too. It's incredible. So we had a few run. It's it's a weird sport. Like that. We've had a few run ins leading that race. He had another horse the pushed our horse into the parking lot and took a ton out of our horse. It was one month before the race. And a really well respected journal said to me, Jim you worried about that. Are you worried about how much energy you're horse had to exert? I said, no, no, no. We learned a lot about our horse in retrospect that was not a good thing and his horse the pushed our horse in the parking lot lost by twenty freaking Lancs ghetto chance to win the race. He was there to keep us from winning the race. And then Bob called me up after the racist said it, you know, I didn't tell him to do that. I didn't tell me to do that. He's unbelievable. Baffert is amazing like that. Everything's a who'd bought a hell of a trainer a great horseman. Great. Great horseman Eddie gray trainer. And he's got my trophy on my ring. My money. Got some soccer react, Paul Gable? Tweets love sitting here doing work and listening to Jim Rome have U S M N T coach Gregg Berhalter excited to see what he can do on the pitch, man. So am I so am I again, there's a personal connection here? Our kids came up together they played ball together. Greg was in the neighborhood. And again like like a great community guy. A great guy to have in the neighborhood. But there was no doubt that he was not going to stay in our neighborhood. He had bigger plans and bigger opportunities heads from bacon. Tweets Chile is. In fact, a solid opponent for the US men's soccer team. But let's be perfectly honest there. No, Ghana Ghana. Let's go line number four right to the front of the line mummy. Cuts. The line Rick in buffalo, brother. What's going on? Always great to be back in Jim. And if you need someone to take care of Baffert for you, you just let me know. No, I know. Title game was going to be a coin flip. I just didn't think it'd be decided by coin flip between these overtime roles in the brain dead officiating the NFL as much credibility is Mark in Hollywood smack in the only silver lining Sunday. Was everyone got to see what a joke Julian Edelman is after the league battle the part. He dropped a pass. I could've caught wind. Events instead of playing a make believe football game. I'm Super Bowl Sunday. They should just have an eighty eight man battle, Royal? How great would it be watching and Tom McKean sue outside Brady's head with a metal chair that guys? So crazy. Just do it anyways. In one more thing about that little men. 'cause I hate the end of a wreck and buffalo call I never want them to end. You probably a lot of venom today. He was on his game. I don't know if he's well rested. I could listen back to those calls fact that can recite all those calls from memory. That opens up a line who do you like we will be in Atlanta all week long radio row? Goes it starts slowly by mid week. You get the energy by Thursday and Friday, we're wall-to-wall we could you eight or nine interviews a day or more. We'll get you ready for that game. I will be there Sunday working on the NFL on CBS. I'm going to have some assignment pre-game pick and things like that. PG and the mile high tweets what kind of a teacher is Rick when he can call in the middle of the afternoon does he do. So in front of his class and students kids must be terrified. I'd be so hyped. I honestly, I don't know. I don't know what he teaches. But I'd be fired up. I'd be in the back row. Rick, Rick, Rick, Rick, Rick, Rick. A great. Would it be like if you've got in front of the class? A shot up. I'm going on with Rome. Watch what I do to that pitch. Mork? Shut up..

"Network on your host Arianna, and I'm joined by the always beautiful Heidi. Aw. Thank you. No problem. It's like, whatever. Her story today is going to be about how CNN sued Mr. Trump. So what happened was after they after Trump had kind of took away their their reporters press badge. What was his name Jim Acosta? They were not comfortable with that. In fact, even when Trump went to France to some kind of talker, whatever he did there for a press conference. They sent Jemma Causton. Because they banned him or like his pets from the White House. Tim to France. And was like, you can go report there because they're so, you know, so I thought that was kind of shade. Yeah. Exactly. So anyway, that's that was the reason why CNN chose to sue Mr. Trump because they feel like it violated their CNN Ngoma Costa's first and fifth amendment rights, which is obviously in the first one is like freedom of the press, freedom, freedom of speech, read them, all this other stuff. I'm sure there's more. I don't Philip thinking about it. Right. Right. Like to peacefully protest all that stuff. And then the fifth one they said was being violated which was right to do process because they give him like any. They just took it away. Right reason. Just because I know the report I read it cottages. Sounded like a little kid argument. And it was like, well, we just don't we just felt like he was being mean. That's an argument. You can't interesting. They take it away from Jim like an event or something. Or was it was at. Yeah. Press event at precedent. Exactly. Mr. Trump was like talking and he asked him a question. Jim Acosta has Trump question. And he didn't even address the question. I think that because Trump has an issue with CNN always head like some kind of attitude every time right costs would say something. And he didn't address the question. So he liked politely re reiterated the question, and then he was like to answer this kind of went off on a stupid little rant. And then had somebody like an intern trying to take the mic did see that. Yeah. And then Jim wouldn't give up the my head excuse me. Ma'am. And then continued to talk. Has what was her name Sanders? Sarah Sanders, she is using that as she's twenty shed. Well, he put hands on her. They were like, no he didn't. He and Sarah Sanders. The press secretary is depressing songs come yet. Now, they are suing Mr. Trump for barring his amendment rates. Right. Well for barring him from the White House. Oh, okay. So yeah. And they want immediate restoration of chief White House. Correspondent Jim Costa's? That's what he I guess his whole title is. They want him to be able to go back into the White House and them to give him back his press. Pat press pass. Yes. So the lawsuit. That's that's exactly what they're saying. They're like this is violation of freedom of press and right to do process and all of that they're suing not only Trump. There are six defendants in this in this case. And those are Trump the chief of staff. John Kelly press secretary, Sarah Sanders, deputy chief of staff for communications Bill shine secretary of service director Randolph alleys ails ails, analyze it. And the secret service officer who took a cost press badge way that day because they all have a role in preventing in like taking it away and upholding him not being able to get back in. So they're like this is against the law. You guys can't do this. I guess even after that happened. I think it was like on a Monday or Tuesday. There was another press conference for something on the Wednesday right after and so Jim Acosta tried to go back and somebody at the White House gate was like I was told not to let you in. And so he's like you do realize that this is legal. And he was just like I'm sorry. That's just all I was told was to not let you in. So he couldn't even get past the gate Toho was like well. Yeah. I mean, I guess if you don't have a press pass at the White House press pass to the White House gate either can't come in. Sorry. But it's like, I said, Sarah Sanders. Her response that was you know, he was being aggressive, and he put his hands on the intern who's trying to take the the microphone away..

I'm not thinking about things that we need to get four. All right now. Like we need a rug, We need like a fancy because there's a big hole on the ground. And while you're merely making it sound like this place is. No, no, It's beautiful. It's a good haul. It's a good haul. It's it's just like, would. Uh, would floors and Liu Does that would break, You know? But the duct tape though there's duct. This is absolutely duct pick up. Should we explain like what we're doing? What with with this? I don't know. Yeah, I need. We there he explained, I don't know what, what are you? Okay, go first arrive, Lagos where they would would I think in. So I nuts. I've had sex before you a But like you were you told me what is just wanna know, You know. Uh, I don't where both big fans of podcasts. Um, I guess you got me into them, But I think we just we wanted an outlet to, like just kind of talk about whatever And in make people feel a little more. That they no less urgent thing and it is it every week. We're not going to talk about a specific thing or you know we're gonna kinda just do what happened, right? I didn't even know Pat press recorded. Started talking, But I ain't no. Sometimes will just do this and shoot the shit, and sometimes won't have someone in here and talk to them about. Their life for whatever And then you know, we've talked about maybe having, uh, Talk to you guys to do like now to Cuba. But like maybe if someone in line in the conversation, someone and show. Yeah, we're we've been talking about doing something like that So that there's no real structure. There's no like, You know, I listen to some Star Wars podcasts, And there's there's straight structure to that. If one specific thing and you're learning about a move by this method, Not that I'm. This is Canada's wing in it in going within talking about a studio or. Tacos, Yeah. So yeah, let's it ma'am. So what, uh, what's been going on you even, uh, we've been home for. Like two weeks now. It hasn't been two weeks after that. I think it has dude. It's coming up in I think it's been almost two weeks year. Oh man. We've talked about this, but like the first week, the first week of being home tour. You have no concept of time. Like, especially if you'd like were were Right now we're lucky because it's at the end of the year And there's not really much going on. So it's like, Okay, this is like kinda chill time yet. But like if you have another tour plan in like two weeks now in the first week, You don't know what have you take you black out completely. It's fucked up. And like you're like, I had so many things I wanted to do. Like the guy Add to do your work, like in a fucking adult men. But in you got a five tons of of rock. Yes. So I guess it is two weeks. 'cause I'm doing yard work. So yeah, yesterday I got five tons of rocks to fill in my my. Holes in my backyard of dirt, and because my dog has this weird thing where he, uh, we have these big River rocks and he's he's a border collie So he herds thick. He needs to heard things. I heard the here because we don't have like a goat or something He want, he needs to heard something. So he he herds, these River rocks and he parks Adam and he pushed. He gets out his two feet on the front end. He like my girlfriend, Fallon says, it's he like jet skis all around Hitler at it. Looks like it like it's just like pushing messed up my whole backyard. And now I as I have to like, get all these other rocks so that it, It doesn't look like a. Dump my pay heart. Yeah. This whole Leica because I just moved out of my my parents house for the first time. It. At twenty seven years old. And. Yeah, Just like having to think about things like Iraq, set him like, Oh, you need your tree cut like I have. I have this tree in my front yard and leaves urges coming down and Mike Flynn. I like neighbors get a fist at me. He's like, I did pick them up fast enough, and he was like, you could like paid ten bucks a week to have my guy like that. Does my ruin, has a guy offers just like, Oh man, I just like kinda wanna do it myself. It's like while I'm home, I wanna like. Yeah, but the take advantage of like being an adult. Yeah. But the thing is your Ghana laws ISO, You're going to be the guy who should pay the ten dollars to the your neighbors guy. Yeah, that's like almost forty bucks a month. So you don't have to do it. In this year. You do when our Julia twice a month, Yemen been in my house yet. I have been in your house before Holy been you haven't been there since I've and apparently don't we we can go soon. My houses right near where we're were right now recordings alka I any Tacoma. I met walk. I meant to come over a wild ducks by parents used to live right down the street from here and they moved and now it's is a big or jeers. You're not really ever in need of being in my area. No person you. I mean there's a good The goodwill near near your House's fuck an awesome. Yeah. I've got tons of Christopher like that Wolfman pioneer have ever tell you the story Allah got that. Her I don't remember. So you know it here. Now. Now it's a it's it's like a furry painting. If if that I think I think descriptive is that I don't know. It says it suspects. It's called something in a in a certain kind of art. But when you look at it, you like feeling you normally like you'll something normally see like a Jesus ignore the Jesus is painted on air like Elvis, Yeah. Its felt Is it felt felt painting we might be felt. Yeah, young it's Bill. Well, I it was a when I was of enormous with my parents. I went and went to that goodwill. I saw it is fifty dollars And I knew So on Saturdays They do the half off as a counterweight. No-one in Gilbert is going to be like. Who are these things like I want this in my house because everyone scared until I was like, You know what? I'm going to hold out. I'm going to save the twenty five dollars and I'm going to wait till Saturday and get him half off. So I guess I go Saturday. I wake up right when it opens a, go grab it, A grab one more thing This Ed's might actually be considered stealing, So I make an trouble butts. Um, so I grab I think a shirt in that I go right up to the front in the lady at the counter goes, you would by that. And I was like, What is they? That's kind of Ruud like would you know I'd longer hair and a beard So, but she was like, I'm so thankful you're getting that out of here. I've been looking at things scared for weeks. I was like, Okay, cool. And then she was so nervous about it that she only charge me for the shirt that iPod head. And she didn't hurt me for the may abating. And so you end up getting for free. And now it's kinda like the the centerpiece us in my house of your home. Oh. What will we actually just just went Goodwill? We got some new chairs. Had he like him? I like him. There was pretty comfy, uh. And and the CO two, It's it's kind of a thing though. United took comfort in fashion over functions of names. Now, what will was to give people a well-to-do, a video tour of this place. So that way are people that are are listening, can get a better idea of what they're. Been are we Are we only going to do it here. I guess what we have to do it on the road. We'll do it on, We'll did on tour, but for for a while now will be doing in here. That sweet. Yeah, This is. This is really cool. It's just like the fact that we have a place that we can give you just talk, you know now, because we end up, uh, I think the, the reason we wanted to do these things because we end up just talking for a long, long periods of time about random stuff. Um, and we figure we might as well recorded in. And maybe you should be called the ADD podcast. ADD here were descending owned, were just hopping around everything. Opener and a random shit. The cool thing is the Teknicolor's a recording right next right next door and to us is true. They recording a holiday song. I know it's crazy Cuba's weird. Like also like we like went in there like we were like on breaking here from cleaning and they're like mixing it. We walked in here, it And my face. I was blown away by how fucking weird who. This is a four-day NAFO change Incidentally Gore Bridge really cool, But it's like we're I dunno if we could pull that off. No, because we're not as cool as Brennan Brennan like seeing about like AOL and like Windows ninety eight I fucking love it, which like the coastline and song. But I would imagine maybe the attendances out The sun will be on 2s And then you know he goes, But I think it's called Santa's. Zana's clause. It's good for us. It's a good name. Yeah. Yeah. Speaking of Christmas songs, wages STA We had a day off their day in Nashville and we we recorded two songs. Now the our friend Ryan Dossen from all-time low, which yum. Yummy. "About it it's it's war intelligence but i think basically that is what happened let me bring up to issues with it that people have raised that are interesting one is that the collusion theory gives putin too much credit that russian intelligence involves a great deal of bumbling and incompetence in internal politics and this story almost portrays them as as geniuses and master manipulators and that's not really how things work what do you say to that i well i i i fully agree with kind of with that kind of view i mean putin is not superman he he's not someone he's not a kind of evil yupik remnant who sits in a cave and flicked save a buttons and presses red switches and makes things happened in a kind of deeply control way he is an opportunist who takes advantage of the situation before him and what he found in the united states what was a deeply polarized situation i am with one candidate dole trump who is a kind of effective vehicle for discrediting hillary clinton whom by the way putin thought would win the election and what was kind of unleashed was actually relatively low tech fishing emails rattling the doors of of servicing seeing what you could get plus a kind of classic espionage operation similar and not a similar to the ones that that putin himself ran during the cold war years in which russian intelligence officers tried to get very close to trump's inner circle and let's face it didn't meet very much resistance we now know that russian assets met with george papadopoulos allegedly that's from malysz indictment that a russian lawyer bearing gifts took a meeting in trump tower with donald trump jr with paul manafort with jared kushner we know that michael karen trump's personal lawyer fahd offer a sort of begging email basically to dmitri paskov trump's pat press secretary asking for help to build a tower an and so on and so.

"About a meeting with russians and do we know what was said there did was it was their new ground broken josh can you speak to it well i i don't think there was a lot of new ground broken it was a closed door session mostly with staffers and with a few senators what was largely interesting i think was the testimony that donald trump jr gave uh behind closed doors about this statement that was crafted apparently largely i by president trump aboard air force one a trying to you might say deflect or shape pat press attention public attention or even investigators attention from the meeting that was held at trump tower with various russian operatives agent's a back during the campaign remember the president helped craft this statement that said this meeting a turned out to be a was basically focused on adoptions and and suggesting that it didn't have anything really to do with gathering dirt on hillary clinton of course as we know from the email exchange that donald trump jr had uh with another individual who organized the meeting it was in fact framed as a way to get quote unquote dirt on hillary clinton during the campaign and and donald trump jr admitted in in the senate judiciary committee uh that he was looking to assess what he called clinton's fitness for office so investigators are delving into all of that and try to check out his statements about how this was all crafted and see what other threads they can pursue as they go forward some democrats coming out of there not happy this was a connecticut senator richard blumenthal tilling msnbc yesterday that the.
