Josh McCown has emotional press conference after Eagles quarterback makes playoff appearance

"The seahawks just didn't really impress me yesterday. For All intents and purposes the eagles still had a chance to tie game. Let's go to one Josh. mccown get sacked on fourth and seven by the way with the game on the line. That can happen. Josh mccown knows that by the really Josh mccown very emotional after the game would not have expected that from I guess he knew that was probably his last go right. which by the way more power to them? Josh mccown. We're not get enough credit credit for the athletes. That he is dude gets buckets. I mean I post the video on my twitter last night and not a lot of people seem before he's a good. Athlete is a good teammate. He was at ESPN now. He's back in the league. He's crispin good for that locker room especially being banged up. He doesn't get sacked on four. Th at seven where they're in scoring range. They tie that game up very banged up very injured on a second. Second String quarterback that is tell there for the Seattle seahawks and before that they're on. What like the thirty five yard? Line there that fourth and three they through that little swing pass and drought-like drought-like again that's a they convert that down. They at least get a field goal. They're like miles. "So I'd like to tell the audience here because we've been talking around here for about a decade about the idea of a rebel in the booth and how hard it is to make it happen with your televised is partnerships and Pat McAfee is now entering here where he doesn't have any experience at this but you didn't have any experience punting either. Did you when you were drafted. Do you have any experience punting when you were drafted. I had a little bit Dan and this is going to get inside baseball but like <hes> in college you do is a rugby punt where you run to the right then you just kick the ball as hard as you can and it goes on the ground and it just rose forever because the rules in college football are different than in the N._F._L. N._F._L. In college everybody can leave the line of scrimmage as soon as the ball is snapped so when you're rolling rights that's like buying time for your team then you kick on the ground and let it roll and it was basically just being athlete and don't fall on your face and the N._F._L. It's a two step thing where you have to hit the ball very high. You have to turn it over because only the two people were allowed to leave the line of scrimmage before the ball is kicked so it was one of those things where I did punt in college but I had no clue how to actually actually punch it was just like a meathead swinging his leg as hard as he can let the ball bounce and I played on a team with pat white so we didn't punt that much and then when Bill Polian undrafted me he was basically said to me on draft day. <hes> we think your athletic enough to figure it out. I'm like well. I hope so I mean it's an opportunity of a lifetime here where it's just we're hoping on something in my first week there you have like rookie camp a week after the draft and they had three other punters there whatever and I was uh-huh terrible. I'm talking about putting the ball five yards ten yard. Maybe fifteen yards. I heard the colts play by play guy. WHO's this legend of a man named? I'm Bob Lamey. I actually heard him. What what isn't that? I mean I I figured it out. I figured it out after a couple of years but the whole the first year we were undefeated until we chose deludes literally that's what happened and I would go out and punt every once in a while when Peyton wanting to get a first down and if I hit a good ball I was excited but I had no idea why it was a good ball and if I hit a bad ball I had no clue why was a bad ball whose just just literally walking out into a crap table every fourth down just like yeah and then I had to the Super Bowl Reggie foot. You were telling us that you went out there and you were punting didn't know what you were doing. No clue the ball would go real far real high. They don't call that's awesome and I was like. I wish I knew why I do. What if they what if the coach asked you hey? Let's kick this one out bounds. Could you even control. It's I would say yeah yeah what do great hey. That's what I'm trying to do. Yeah absolutely yeah guys yeah. It was a nightmare. It was a nightmare I would hear shank terrible punt and I will come to the sidelines like the first couple of times in Viteri. It'd be like what happened man. No one I guess not the guy you want reading the quarterback you WanNa certainly not the kicking companion like is there anyone more sculpted at their skilled in that time like vegetarians..

It's very entertaining is actually a real person. This isn't a character that he's planning means a lot. It's going to break. Put your finger up for me though in stop me now I mean it was uncomfortable to listen to how good looking I am. You know what I mean. It didn't let me get to anything also wanted to get through so whatever I knew segment gill off your chest. If something that pisses you off just good and say now I feel very humorous view me as Dr Phil Dr Pat. Get it off your chest. Dr Pat Pat. Get it off your chest. That's a segment who segments do you do. You think that you are very positive person. In general I would assume so yeah. I think you are to a great segment. I I'm just thinking because we've been around the manual been around some people a couple of people at times that may be worth the coolest or most fun and you're very very nice in how you tear somebody down I don't. I don't even know what that means. Honestly I don't even know. I don't even know what you're very like. You just like yeah you weren't you. Don't let go for the jugular. You're just like Oh yeah yes not there wouldn't be my first choice to call yeah well. I just you know just like to keep it moving man. I honestly I looked back. This has nothing to do what you just said but I look back to the pre production meetings things that you mean that Sean Guy had with Baylor in their hotel room and I couldn't even fathom what the fucking everybody in their imagine I walked in there with a sleeveless Odeon right on the sleeve was already on and I think had Jordan parts on. I think I'd leave a city in Jordan. Everybody's kind of wearing like suits or like buttoned up shirts. There was this big table several walks in and I've never been in one of these meetings where I've no fucking idea and there's a couple of questions asked like very professional personal questions and then I just thought it was a podcast like in my head I was like Oh this is just a fucking podcast Merrill. It's good what's one thing you've learned from sunny bathroom like I should hang onto that and then he wanted to run with Tom Coughlin about Tom Coughlin this whole thing and I just <music>. I felt the is from the Fox people. I just felt them all over me and I was like probably not supposed to be in this world but I felt like you and I was like a podcast hosted there with Matt Role Than That quarterback and then that other kid honestly. It's how I felt. It was great well. That's why you're good. If you remember uh-huh you had the producer of our game on your show the next week I think even said like no I think not only how you dress but how you carry yourself like you got more. We got more out of those coaches and players than you normally would because you make them feel comfortable. Why don't what didn't happen more often though 'cause there's only one pat McAfee? That's we're looking for. That's got that right now. That is what we were. That's what we're looking. Thank you but there's only one A._G.. "These guys right here, man. I get to spend all day every day doing doing card tricks and doing magic and sewing up theaters now, which is a maze ING, so am I cigarette. Hell no, do I love it. You better believe it see. Now. Here's another thing. I'll say is a snapper. It isn't the most academically challenging so for and for me. I love the the creative process. I love using my mind, I love, you know, even you know, I I learned how to fly a plane and I loved regarding weather geography and all this stuff. So. That never gets. I learned a pilot is well, but don't look I did I did I ate was pretty smooth always subtly mentioned. It never gets old. I'm super excited now. But here's what kind of it doesn't get stressful and impact you might be able to relate to this. 'cause you're in the business of content. You're in the business of entertainment. Yes, you're in the business of of similar to me. But I can have time between my shows to really think about stuff, but I did I did America's got talent. And every time I was on it. I blew my own mind. What oh my gosh. That was amazing. Oh my gosh. I'm going to the next round. Oh my gosh. I got two weeks to think of something better. And you're constantly having to one up yourself and now with the saturation of YouTube and all the magic stuff that's on TV now people's expectations are so much higher people's exposure so much higher been there done that off seeing that up now. So you gotta kinda one up yourself as lows everybody around you. So I learned this. If if I rely solely on the trick. Then you get lost in that world, right? If instead, I create something that's really cool. But I created a relationship with the audience that they care about me. And who I am then the trick is a tool. And now all of a sudden, I can take coin or I can take card make it disappear standing ovation. Even though they might have seen that trick of million times because they're involved. They're emotionally involved because they care because maybe they're learning something, maybe we trigger an emotion. And so when I perform that's what I try and do create really cool stuff that triggers an emotion and takes people on a journey because that's what magic did for me. Oh, it's starting to heat up as an itsy though. Oh, yeah. He's starting to really dive into some things he did four magic tricks before I could even blink by before thinking started. So if you're listening to this that could be tough to kind of get the entire of it, you have to go check out the YouTube at the Pat McAfee shows at correct the Pat McAfee show, that'd boy FOX he puts a lot of hours in there sodas, Billy Billy, Billy goats in a lotta great job, Billy McComb torch child. He puts in a lot of hours back here in a corner doesn't speak to anybody. When he does. It's very low pitch. I've been trying to teach them in speak with a little base in his voice. But all I know is when it gets on the YouTube, and when foxy gets editing. Magic happens you should go..

"My fifty six nice to meet your man, let's have fun out here today. That's a real thing. You gotta remember that special teams are filled with people that are going to new places on a regular basis. They're just trying to feed their fucking families literally in making the job very hard on them, literally making it very hard on them. Let's make it easier. Take out the ticky tack block in the back. Take out the little bullshit. The petty bullshit no holding obviously ba- let's make that game. And let's make that play in electric play. And I think that'll do I think going to work, I'm happy fix that. Like it. I can't believe I did that though the kickoff role models. Well, be called the Indianapolis Colts. Pat McAfee was kicking off kickoff rule because that's how everybody had to line up against our kickoff team because we hit surprise onside kicks buddy had their hands team on at all times. Which is basically what the new kickoff is you have to have your hands team in with at least you have to have everybody within twenty five yards of the kickoff line. It's it's your hands team. That's one. That's why onside kick rates have gone down so much because you're not allowed to overload anymore. And you also have the hands team already in there. So surprise onside kicks. Although Cody parkey got him. When it wasn't a surprise one Saint Martin trying to surprise one. It's that that place, basically dead. But we basically had we had the stats. They used our stats about the injuries that we had those years when everybody was enhanced the coverages and stuff. Like that they want to that. I mean, that's an actual statement. Tom McMahon special teams coach for Denver Broncos was a part of building. This new kickoff process because they wanted to save the play basically is what was happening. He's special teams trying to save the play this what they're saying. They want to do to punt. They wanna save the play. Let's not change them much. Let's give it to the bullshit fouls. NFL watts more points to this would help returns were help. You get better field position absolute he's showcase the returners, by the way. Normally most talented motherfuckers on the field. They're the most athletic humans on the field. You got a bunch of Ferrari's back there just waiting let them run and let a meet, and if you let them just block a little bit. Let them block a little bit more. I think those types of rules if it's if it's just taking tack penny. Let's not get trigger happy on this thing. Which is I think what happens on special teams refugee. Well, that that's if I was to call it on first down check down he'd be. Okay. It's like, yeah. But this is a whole different thing. Right. This is a whole different fucking thing. This is people sprinting full speed in wide open spaces trying to make plays in coverage. And if somebody accidentally running a four four at the two hundred ninety pounds accidentally puts his hands on battling. Let's go. Let's get past it. I think that's what you fix it. I also think this year more so than any other we've seen like muffed punt and stuff like that coming from good punt. So you can't you can't diminish that like like you've always said like, that's that's part of the punters job to. That's a skill sets a real that's a real skill. This isn't an accidental thing. Whenever you see. Punt returner struggling with football. These are real. This is a real skill set. That is never talked about. Right. Never you never commentator talk about not a once. That's why whenever I mentioned Johnny Hecker tyreek hill is catching Johnny hackers punts. Like, that's a huge deal. That's a huge deal. So huge. Nobody knows about though. Nobody knows about it. You won't save the punt. You let me commentate Sunday football Monday night football. I'll let people know what is happening in that. Punt it'll be like, oh, this is pretty fucking interesting. Actually, you know what? I mean. There's a lot going on the punt walk going on the punt Matt Hasselbeck causes fair play football. There you go. He would lie. He works. He will. Map figure this out Christmas Tuesday. Now the punt play. Excited to see what's next. Well..

Denver Nuggets pound Lakers

"Heard of goes by the name of LeBron James LeBron Lakers taken on the nuggets in Denver. And this one was ugly early second quarter nuggets seven point lead. And look at your mom Murray guys fly by and then he's waving as they passed. Take a look at this. This is this is some shade here drew mammary which twenty. And not had a nine point lead late in the first half lake is kind of hanging around there down five. We gotta done. Lebron? No. We don't go in the other direction. Lonzo will put it in. He's gorgeous seven legs down eight at halftime. Then the third quarter. Denver just opens it up completely and LeBron James really struggling over four from three. That's no good. Lebron actually did not have a field goal on the entire second hand. And the other way, here's Yokich. He's not yo king. He had fourteen liquors down sixteen later Lakers. Still trailing by sixteen. The front is not a good pass. He's frustrated. They look really bad first time in four years. He goes tire half without a field goal. Fourth quarter, Lakers down eighteen points now kinda planet out LeBron and other bad pass going to work at the trae Lyles who will knock down to three from the corner when it's all sudden LeBron five of fifteen fourteen points. Lakers lose by thirty to their worst of the year. Still couldn't make. As much as we could stop to stuff. What it over? Broke. Oh before couldn't make enough shots. Yeah. Couldn't make shots as an understatement. Jalen rose because they missed thirty three's in the matchup against the nuggets. But something else was revealed. And you've mentioned this before that for the Lakers. It's difficult for them when they face a big man that can score inside and out. And how did you see that reveal distinction amongst quality big men in the league skill big man that could dribble pass shoot versus wheel men who set screens. Catch lobs and block shots. The latter categories players like Steven Adams, de'andre Jordan Tyson challenge, avail McGee. And when you talk about ultimate skill

Newlyweds' final moments before fatal helicopter crash seen on video

"All just goes. Downs. One way out. Should just be trying to hop on helicopters now because you heard somebody died. Now for me. I'm good right now. But you know, until death so death do them part. That's a shame man that sucks so bad because this really good people to pay for a helicopter. It'd probably do pretty well, let's assume and then just on their wedding day. I love you love you. Well, I saw you posted that plane today that was trying to land. And then it hit the car and the wheels off those people alive. Yeah. Okay. Good little of their videos. Did you see that? We got iota that one horse video. They're still they're still. Yeah. Conflicting reports on that. There's one person at tween assess my cousin. She's her net. Looks like a death potentially the internet is filled with death. I do not see the plane buses while you never see those planes fail on those like road landings. There's always a success story. Sali successful Denzel was drunk and successful university of Michigan had a plane that went up came down. It was. Okay. It was safe. Yeah. See there's always like there's panic and then it seems like planes survive helicopter. So seems like they do not. I don't know how Leonardo DiCaprio made it that one late night whenever he flew into his ouster wolf, offering helicopters are not done.

"Find them on the fucking money. We gotta be here at six thirty, Chuck that dude slept in as like. I've been that guy before I missed an entire morning in meetings. I was in jail. I've been that you know what they did. They took forty thousand dollars. You should be doing that, like, don't punish us. So I think the NFL is different where the players and coaches are the thing, but you're, it did seem the way they edited it, though that it was very dismissed by Jackson. They showed him point now players on the next meeting, but it wasn't like it was during place. It was like it wasn't like after plays hustle. It was like during place code of edited out. You know what I mean? You've got people who HBO people who, let's assume don't know, don't know football, right. So they might not know what that guy's talking about. They might have thought that tyrod was speaking about the place as opposed to in-between the place. So I'm telling you my thought on the Browns is very different, and I, I, I don't wanna apologize. You Jackson because I think he himself made himself. Look. I can ask on the first episode, where do you think he listen to the show? Probably I wonder if I honestly, I wonder whether you look like a fake, fuck you fraud. He's he's a new man. He's Italy's a new may. So then you start sending out feelers run the league people like who's Pat McAfee. He's, oh, well, maybe he's a big message I got from the entire show from the coaching staff was basically they all said it multiple multiple times. We don't give a fuck how much talent you have. It's all about effort. Well. Oh, fuck. Hold on. Oh man. There's a quote, Jim Caldwell is used. It's good one to talent. Beat something. If talent works hard, it was like something that he would put on all. This is bad. I should know this. He literally put it on a screen, hard work, beats talent. If talent doesn't work hard, that might be it. That's like the cliche won't. That is that is the cliche, then that's exactly what it was. It was on the screen every single day and that was the year. We almost won't completely defeated. Pretty good little run that quote had, but it is true. Like everybody's talented. The only reason why people. I don't wanna say everybody's it. There's a lot of other fuckers out there, but the people, if you make it any NFL, you have the speed to be in the NFL. You have the body to be in the NFL. It's all in between the years..
