"Already buster bleacher tweets for a Friday. Let's go to pat Johnson at the melting pat, pat writes in. Can I play a refuse to be interviewed in the dugout during a game or are they contractually obligated to do that? No, pat, they don't have to do it. In fact, I get a little bit of money if they do do it. It's like a little motivation. I want to say it's like $10,000. The player like that. Like a little bit of chip money. And I feel these have been great, huh? I like the in game interviews. I think it's tremendous. And I think most of the players are comfortable with it. We've talked in the past about how Bryce Harper seems very much at ease, you know, putting out a microphone talking to folks during the game. Oh yeah, he's completely unfazed. Also, I should know that Sarah Abbott's eyes got huge when you said they got paid ten grand to do those 32nd interviews. Okay. I will do a 32nd interview for ten grand. Fan. You just become a lifelong fan of ten grand is what is an angle? Well, let's go to cubs fan at CU 8 S fan. This person writes in rob Manfred saying, reach is the biggest problem of baseball and then blacking out all playoff games from their own app is the most ironic and sad thing I've ever heard lots of people talking about the blackouts in general. You know, him saying that comment, I think that's very interesting. What do you think? Yeah. Look, I felt the same way, too. There were some answers he had there. I would have loved to have an opportunity to push back, but we're kind of in a 6 minute limit or 7 minute limit. And it wasn't really the forum to do that. I also would, you know, at some point, Major League Baseball player association, they need to work in concert. The other day I was having a conversation with a long-standing player before one of the World Series games. And he was talking about, it still feels like there's just not that much collaboration to try to find ways to get better. That would be one way to do it for sure. We got an interesting one, and we're going to close it on this because we didn't get a ton of questions, listeners send them in, please, over the weekend. But we got, I don't can't make any sense of this. This is from I am Jared's live journal at CB Gary. He writes in, would you rather win NL rookie of the year or World Series MVP go O's? Well, I think he's saying which award would mean more. And I think the World Series MVP, because of course, when a championship, Jeff. Let me paint you. I think has legitimate chance right now, he's my FrontRunner to win the MVP. What about you guys? I think gotta be or Christian Javier. I mean, that dispel that he put on now. Jeremy Benjamin had one appearance. Well, it was a good one, buster, and if he was a good one. All right. As of right now, what was the question fair enough? Okay, well that's it for bleacher tweets, send in more bleacher tweets over the weekend and please follow rate review this podcast wherever you listen to your podcasts.

"Tweets. Already buster bleacher tweets for a glorious Friday, pat Johnson at the melting pat rates and assuming the Phillies will be buyers, which positional upgrade would help the most rotation center field, something else. I got shortstop or center field. And look, I don't expect shortstop to be the place. I think the prices would be ridiculous. Center field, you know, maybe somehow some way you find a way to convince the pirates to trade Brian Reynolds. But they should do something because they're in a race, they're about 6 nationally teams that aren't trying to win this year. Phillies are still alive in the wild card chase. And Bryce Harper, I will be back. He said it happens. Nobody at collect trick writes in buster olney said that adley rushman is leading the Orioles franchise out of the deepest darkest Woods, great quote there from buster. He continues Mullins, mount castle, Mancini, Santander, and Hayes are all more productive by a lot. Why not credit the guys who actually deserve it? Buster, we all know you hate the Orioles. So give them credit. Give all the guys credit. 5 game win. So Taylor, I just double checking. Were all those guys, those 5 guys on the team last year? I think they were? Yep, I think they were. Yeah, they were. And then who's really new and the oils have been playing better since who arrived? That would be adley clutch, man. I can't believe. Okay. There we go. Do we noted? Thanks, nobody. Billy flanagan is up next at Billy Flynn. He writes and whose computer slash cell phone notifications get picked up on the podcast the most. I have a guess but I'll keep it to myself just kidding it's gotta be buster. Yeah, it's me. I have it on because you're waiting to hear from people. There are times when in writing the rundown, I'll try to collect the information it might have a question or two front off to people that sort of thing and I'll get answers. He's a newsman. He's hard at work here. It doesn't ever stop. Last one for the week blag waiting for Casey close to call me back. Any day now, any day now, I'm sure he'd love by the way. Freddie Freeman still listed his self represented. So that fluid situation apparently not so fluid. That's weird. Tell me how that worked out. Leg at problematic BA three writes in. If I'm the twins, I'm adding. So this was a little bit confusing from blag. I'm adding at, I don't really know what that means at the deadline and closing out the AL central, let's say you, let's treat that like a fill in the blank. If I'm the twins, I'm adding blank at the deadline to close out the AL central. You know, I'll defer to my colleague Jeff pason. He was on the podcast on Wednesday and I asked him, give me a contender who has the most significant need or the biggest need, and he went with the twins. I thought it was clearly the Cardinals. He went with the twins. We talked about rotation help Luis Castillo, Frankie montas, or among the candidates. Why are those guys going to end up? That's the question over the next couple of weeks. Thanks for writing in everyone. Hashtag bleacher tweets on Twitter over the weekend while you're watching games and we'll be back on Monday and don't forget subscribe to ESPN's YouTube channel because buster and Tim will be cutting it up on their come Monday afternoon. Thanks everyone. That's it for today. That's it for this week. My thanks to Carl hambo. Jess, Sarah, and Taylor have a great day everybody. Thanks for listening. Stay safe. And remember, hating inequality based on skin color is something that we need to fight against every single day.

"Tweets already buster bleacher tweets for a Wednesday, and as promised in our previous segment with Todd radham, here is our weekly quiz for you buster. You gotta be on the record for this one. Oh boy. So here we go. You try to get out of this too before we record. Let the listeners know here. All right, here's the question. Which team has the longest active winning streak of World Series games one? Is it a, the San Francisco Giants? B, the Cincinnati reds, C, the Chicago White Sox, or D, the Saint Louis Cardinals. Gotta be the reds. Winner winner chicken dinner buster. Wow. Wow. Didn't even blink. No hesitation. Now, now some there are some parts of my brain that don't work. That's one part of my brain that works. All right, well, hey, aren't you glad you did the question then? Yep. I didn't feel like a genius. How'd you guys do with that question? Not great. I'm so wrong. All right. Forgot that. Well, the order to the universe has been reestablished then. Absolutely. All right, let's go to the tweets. We got a whole batch from here. Pat Johnson at the melting pad is up first. Pat writes in on Thursday, my son, Arthur will be a year old, happy birthday. They Arthur. I think I have to thank the podcast crew for getting us through TV and COVID and late night feeds to make this about baseball who climbs from the seller first. My Phillies or Taylor's Orioles. Yeah, the Phillies. I don't think it's close, and by the way, pat, congratulations. That is actually a fun time and being a parent. But it's got to be the Phillies, because the Orioles have a ways to go. I keep on getting all the tweets from world fans who are like, you need to give the Orioles credit. I'm like, okay, you know, they're a little better, but that's like going from an F grade to a D I mean, they're still on a pace to win like 68 games. My buddy texted me a couple of days ago and was like, oh, the oils turn the corner. I'm like, they can just, you know, this is a bound to happen in baseball. You know, a couple stringing together. I mean, the bar was so low. Hey, we won more than 52 games. You know, we'll see. And the key question is, is as the team gets better and this talent that they've been collecting by tanking grows will ownership spend money the way that the cubs in the Astros did to augment it. That's the key question. Would you agree with me? Oh yeah. And I mean, when are we going to start seeing these young guys too? Right. They're all being held up in the miners, and it's incredibly frustrating to watch. Another one of my Friends has convinced me that all these guys are going to be good. So that's where my head is right now. Who knows how reasonable that is? Let's go to Ed at EF cade, maybe. My submission for bleacher tweets, having the cameraman on the field during the player celebration is a distraction thoughts. And they're not. I kind of like the up close and personal. And I know in some of the cameramen who have had that job, do we at duke and then we have Jared, great guys, players like it. I like it. And players aren't bothered by it. Andrew Campbell at real camp drew is up next, Andrew writes, and hey buster, it's become quite fun watching future all star Nestor Cortez just deal every 5 days. But the way the league's pitchers are ahead of the batters this year isn't as much fun, Major League Baseball's average is two 33, the league OPS 6 77 he threw in a barf emoji in there. Any way we can fix this. Yeah, I do think they will have some sort of regulation shifts next year. I hope they have some sort of a regulation. The use of relief pitchers, which I think is contributing this because you're seeing a parade of guys who are throwing 98 mph. And I agree with you about context being so important. And in Nestor Cortes is terrific and you see in a lot of great pitching stats, but it reminds me of the late 90s when everyone was hitting 30 homers. Like the feet of hitting 30 homers didn't feel quite as exciting because the context. Mike mosque at the mosque three is up next. Heim bloom's fingerprints are all over the Red Sox failure. He's constructed an aging rotation and an awful bullpen who's the closer he's alienating fans and destroying the Clubhouse by mishandling Bogart's contract. I think that's all correct. Well, and I'd say this. I mean, haim bloom is not alone in the decisions when it comes to paying Xander bogarts. That's an ownership decision, not heim's decision. He might give a recommendation, but in the end, it's up to ownership to decide whether or not they feel like keeping Xander bogarts is the centerpiece is worth it to the organization and as it meant saying the podcast, they damn well better reassess that because I think it's clearly having an effect on the team. Don Irvine writes in all 5 teams in the NLS or above 500, are they all that good or is this a fluke that will correct itself by the end of the season? Flu, I don't think there's any chance the rockies finish at 500. Danny norlander at DL norlander is up next. He writes in hey buster, the Nats are the second best team in total hits this year fourth and batting average, 9th in runs and RBI, but they're pitching as awful 29th and the ERA and whip any chance of a turnaround with the return of Strasbourg dolittle and Harvey by June and July. No, I think Mike Rizzo, their general managers demonstrated. He will be aggressive when it comes to flipping assets when he feels like that the Nats don't have a chance within the context of division led by the braves and the mets. I don't think they have a chance to contend this year. Last one for today, chief beef at Carl havoc. I love this Red Sox piling on makes me so happy. He writes in Xander bogarts, not being paid, has nothing to do with the bullpen not being able to hold and save games, same goes for the bottom of the order not being able to hit their way out of a paper bag. I don't know. I mean, I think it can be related to some degree because the offensive struggles. And it's possible that some of what's going on with the offense, you might be related to what happened with bogarts. And guess what? That's put more pressure on the pitching. And the pitching, you're right, has folded. So I do think that they're interconnected in some way. Already, that will do for bleacher tweets, hashtag bleacher tweets on Twitter while you're watching the games, please follow rate and review this podcast wherever you listen to your podcast and.

"You know, I've learned so much. And if we could continue to learn from him, I would be ecstatic and like I said, you know, I think everybody wants them here and hopefully. Is there a certain level of anxiety when you guys kind of wait around for news without cutting? Yeah, I'm swiping Twitter all the time. I hate refresh. Waiting to see some news. You just take a day by day and like I said, just help you help he comes back and like I said, I know everyone else wants him to. So we'll see. Bleacher tweets. Okay buster, now let's get into some bleacher tweets. So the first one we have is from Andrew D salvo. The lockout has ended baseball is back and not a lot has happened in terms of player movement. What do you think are the reasons that there haven't been a flurry of signings since free agency reopened? Yeah, Andrew, I'm guessing you might have written this like on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning because there was a lot. I mean, it was a ton of signings. And I would say this, your question was fair, because I think people were thinking that, you know, within an hour after this whole situation was resolved, that we would get just this avalanche of stuff immediately. Here's the issue. One of the issues, I think, is a teams have not been in contact with players. And so they literally need to lay eyes on the players, right? So when we talk about pending a physical exam, these teams are taking that very seriously because they don't know if somebody went on and eating binge over the lockout, they don't know if the guys who've been working out and so I've had teams tell me that. The fact that they haven't been in contact with players has slowed down the process a little bit. But it's speeding up, Andrew, I think you would agree with me. Next up, we have John toland. How is the roster impacted by vac status to play in Canada? Our team is going to be down all those roster spots or will they do an active inactive roster where they can pull some players up? Yeah, and John, I didn't specifically ask the powers to be your question. My guess is, is that you'll be able to place players on the inactive list, they're not going to be paid according to the terms of CBA and as I was talking about with Sarah, this to me is one of the stories that's not getting enough attention right off the bat. If you are the Toronto Blue Jays and as far as I know, basically all their players are vaccinated, maybe one or two holdouts. I don't know. But it's a tremendous competitive advantage. There are key guys in the Red Sox and Yankees who are not vaccinated. And if they don't change their mind, if they go down the same road as Kyrie Irving, the Yankees and Red Sox are going to go in in Toronto in a huge disadvantage. I wonder how much this will be discussed within the clubhouses as we get closer with other players going, guys, come on, step up. Let's get vaccinated to help us out, help us win the American League east. Next up is Brendan Devine, who are some of the potential trade partners with the athletics. They have a long trade history with Arizona. Could Arizona pull a trade inside for someone like Chapman to be the veteran presence to lead the young way the talent coming from the farm? Yeah, Brendan, I think they're my sense from talking with teams is that the focus at the moment seems to be mad Olson, the braves are hanging in there in that conversation. The Yankees are hanging in there in that conversation. They've been reports that the Texas Rangers have been involved in that conversation. In terms of the Diamondbacks, I can't, I'd have a hard time seeing the logic of them picking up Chapman because given preeminence, the Giants and the Dodgers and the Padres. I think they're focus needs to be on players who are going to be there in three or four years and which happened. I don't think that would necessarily be the case. And lastly, we have pat Johnson. I'm very excited to be able to watch baseball with my son again, but I have to wonder, how will the Phillies fill out the roster? Is Chris Bryant a real possibility, Carlos Correa, Trevor story, just about anyone from the bullpen? Yeah, it's a real quandary pad because here's the thing, they already have a ton of money committed to the players on their roster. They don't seemingly have a lot of payroll flexibility. And if you look at that roster and you look at the organization, you know, they've got, as you mentioned, real holes to fill and unless ownership just decides, look, we are going to step out. We're going to spend a whole bunch more money. It's hard to imagine them competing toe to toe with teams like the braves and the mets. So I think Dave dembrowski in the past has made some great trades. You remember when he was the general manager of the tigers, he traded for Doug fister and that turned out to be a deal that was difference making for that team. That's the sort of thing I think he needs to make. And the one thing that I do here all the time from executives to other teams, they saved him Broadsky's not afraid. So if there's a trade that they need to try to figure out, they'll do that or ownership has to spend a lot of money. And that's it for bleacher tweets. Be sure to submit your questions using hashtag bleacher tweets. That's it for today, my thanks to Sarah Sarah Taylor, and of course.

"Tweets already buster bleacher tweets for a Wednesday. First up, we've got Kevin Larkin at klark 24. Kevin rates and hey, buster and Taylor. What is the rule when it comes to replacing her players on a World Series roster now that Morton is out? Do they have to go with one less player? Kevin, no, they don't go with one less player. Today we'll get an announcement from the braves. Who is going to be added to the roster in place at Charlie Morton? Next up, Justin Simmons at Justin Lance sim one writes in, can you think of another picture like AJ minter who struggles in the regular season to be consistent? To the point of being demoted, but his lights out in the postseason, I find it baffling. Yeah, how about Joe Kelly in 2018? If you remember, there was a chance he was going to be left off the roster entirely struggling so badly, but then he began to focus on his curveball. He had a spectacular postseason and then he got like a three or $30 million deal with the Dodgers. So that guy turned around in about a week. Justin signed that sincerely a real reverend, which I think is very rude because as a member of a man of the club, someone laying down the law right there. We should respect each other Justin. Let's go to David at baseball fan 1918, David Wright's and hey buster and rev. What is this award Major League Baseball gave a show at Otani? It's a made up award, like they all are, actually. It's like a commissioner's award for special achievements. That's what they called it. I think we had a top of the show with the actual name was. But yeah, you know, I think it's cool. Major League Baseball giving a tip of the cap to a guy who had such an unusual season. Next up, hashtag casement at Casey Gundy writes in why is everyone so certain this would be a quote unquote clean World Series for the Astros. They paid their minimal punishment and are already back in the World Series. Why are we supposed to believe they learned their lesson and are doing the right things? Look, I have a hard time believing that if all of a sudden we heard trash can banging down on the Fox broadcast tonight that no one would notice. I don't think that any of the answers to get involved in that. Separate of that, very interesting. Coincidentally yesterday, I heard a speculation about a team that has played baseball in the last two months. I'm trying to muddy the waters to protect this team, but it was the first time I heard this team was definitely cheating and doing something. And I was like, what? Really? Maybe her basket was onto something buster. Oh my God, man, you know, if, in fact, it happened. But it was interesting that it's on top of everybody's mind. And there are people who definitely don't assume that everyone's playing clean. Yeah, I mean. We talked yesterday. Yeah, Alex Avila. We were talking about guys using sticky stuff, right? Yeah, yeah. Chris bas maybe he was onto something. They've got no credibility too. So I understand where casement is coming from on this. Let's go to Brad barber. I'm not talking about the answers. I have no evidence on the Astros. All right, yeah, me either. Brad barber at B rad barber rates and buster if Major League Baseball only does one of the following the season, which do you want to infielders on each side of second robo strike zone, pitcher limit or universal DH? Brad, you didn't mention the one that I want and that is a pitch clock. Get the pictures to stay on the rubber, the reliever is in particular. It is becoming excruciating. I mean, every postseason game now seems like it's four plus hours. That's absurd. Pat Johnson is our last tweet of the day at the melting my guy pat. He writes in buster and the rev asked for favorite season moments I have three watching the Phillies with my son, seen ranger Suarez more from a closer starter and hearing the rev called the Orioles management for not even pretending to try. Thanks for the memories there pad. I think that's a new father, so I like his first one especially. That's awesome. And it's cool that you get a shout out, rev? That might have been my personal highlight as well. And who knows? I guess the Orioles will probably be terrible next to here. So some more to come on that. Thanks for writing in everyone. Hashtag bleacher tweets on Twitter and please follow rate and review this podcast wherever you listen to your podcasts. That looks like we got through without the tornado Taylor. Thank goodness. Yeah, geez Louise dude. I mean, I was thinking that you would run to the basement or at least hole up in the bathroom in your hotel room, but you stuck it out in the lobby there, brave buster. It will not really brave at all. At the weather alert on my phone and then there hadn't been any alarms in the lobby of the hotel here. And remember, this is a city that's been hit over and over and over again, right? Like natural disasters. So I'm gonna follow their lead. If they're not all cranked up and getting worried about it, I'm not going to either, you know? Yeah, do the locals do. All right, that's it for today. My thanks to Dave, Sarah Jess and Taylor, the rev. Have a great day to everybody. Thanks for listening. Stay safe. And remember, hate and inequality based on skin color.

"Piece. Espn dot com this morning. But debbie gamons brown. Wants to know more about this troublemaker cow. Can you inform the listeners about this. So the way that my parents would make it easier because you want to track lineage on a dairy farm They would name all of the cows with the same first letter. So debbie's mother was dana okay. Who is a very dark colored jersey. That's unusual and when debbie was born dana apparently mistook her tail for an umbilical cord. Okay and so bid off her tail instead of biting the umbilical cord. Debbie was our one cow. It's sort of a very short. Save about four or five inch. Tail will debbie Seem to have a thicker hide than other cows and she had a absolute propensity for breaking fences. And you know that phrase. I was thinking about this as a wrote that piece yesterday. And i sort of vaguely made reference to it you know. The grass is always greener while debbie would see a pasture on the other side of the bench and she wanted to go through. And she would breakthrough fences and other cows would follow her so You know she. She was absolutely troublemaker. What then and then. By the way. I'm not making any of that. This is all true. This is a one hundred percent. Every bit of what i just told. You is true dana. Her mother love cheerios. That's another thing i remember about. Her mom had a big white spot in the middle of her forehead. What did you call this cow in your piece this morning. A said maybe. The term mutant was thrown in there. Yes she was a mutant fence. Breaker god gives us an unusual for cows. I mean with electric fences. That's one thing like cows will touch an electric fence and they will back off but the barbed wire fence. If you have a cow with a thick hide no problem last time. Sarah up in it. Yes i love it. I was going to point out. Giggles of sarah lang's as she awaits her her segment here. "Now Big board there from Portis, 82 71 Milwaukee CP three, Darting Down the Lane got three and lays it in. And then quickly. 82 73. Phoenix Back down 74 minutes to go. Third quarter Here's holiday at the top feeling hot. 23 missed it. Put another offensive rebound, fouled on his way back up with four to to go, and he fires up the crowd. Eric Spicer Forum. You have no choice, right? You have zero choice. You're downsizing because you are thin up front and de Andres in big time trouble, And you don't want to come back with them right now because you want him to play free. But the offensive rebounds continue. The Bucks are punishing you there. How many is that? It is now nine feels like a lot more than nine. But they have 15 2nd chance points off of those nine. Remember 18 offensive rebounds in Game two, and they only scored 23 points off much more efficient tonight just to JP's point, because he keeps asking how many minutes this lineup has played together in the They have Three coming into tonight. I got to be done anyway. That could have been model serves the point. That's true. That's very true. I don't think it was with 10 20 to go in, Uh, a crucial game three. Bobby Portis. There's a love affair with this city and port is in his first year with the Bucks chant his name. Now the quiet hits the first free throw got 10 points off the bench, making 11 to restore Milwaukee's lead The 9 82 73 crossing four minutes to go in the third. A lineup change for the Sun's Cameron Payne is in for Devin Booker. Pain at the top cuts right of the circle passed a Crowder Crowder, head of the arc against tourists that Paul would tend to shoot Chris Paul back to Crowder weights. Reporters to clear and open Look for three is good for Jae Crowder, three in the quarter for him, three threes and big ones, all of them. For for five in the game from 3 to 6 Point game. Here's a pass to Connaughton left side three going from the corner for Connauton and answer to put the lead at nine there consistently touching the paint, making that cross court pass to the weak side corner and getting good shots. Chris Paul against him lost his feet out to Cameron Johnson a wide open three and they called an offensive foul. Coddington got knocked out charge on Chris Paul, no doubt left left arm there. The off farm job. Pat Johnson gives a sense of how loud it is in here, though. Marquess for sure. Yeah, no chance to hear that whistle turnover. Phoenix nine point bucks lead Here's parties in the lane had a travel call. Looks like Porter's took the extra step still waiting for the officials to make the call but is a turnover. Milwaukee 3 12 to go here in the third is Yannis will check back into the lineup. Interesting moment there between But in the official because they were staring at one, another official I thought was close to calling a technical. He's still he's still off. Can't wait to talk to James Williams and the crew tonight at the Calderon Club, the postgame meeting spot James Williams in his first NBA all quarters and Crowder.
