"All right. He's got some new headphones. This is going to be great. We're not going to talk over each other anymore. Matt Deberry, seven more make or break guys for you. Who's number four? Tua Tonga by Aloha. Wow. He probably should have been the first guy we mentioned. And then the Dolphins fans get mad because they're like, can you not, can you break down our team without saying like, we have no idea if our quarterback's going to play more than four games. It's like, I'm sorry. I have no idea if your quarterback's going to play more than four games. My bad. You guys, you guys started a playoff game with Skylar Thompson. Yeah. Seems relevant. Yes. Yeah. So look, I mean, last two years, he's missed eight games, obviously wasn't cleared until January 31st. He missed four games, multiple concussions. You hate to sort of say make or break based on injury because again, it's the NFL and anyone can get injured, but it's such a, I mean, you know what I mean? Like, because last year, last year, this is a guy who led all quarterbacks and passer rating at all quarterbacks and yards for pass attempt. He had the second highest touchdown ratings, fifth and passing yards per game. Like when Tua was out there, Tua was great. And second year in McDaniel system, we've heard a lot of talk about him. McDaniel system is similar to Kyle Shanahan's. We've heard a lot of talk about, you know, the, how intense and complicated that system is and you need multiple years in a system. And so I think, again, you hate to say this, but right, if he's healthy, like Tua can have a monster year, the dolphins could have the best offense in football. That's not out of the realm of possibility, given the weapons they have and the scheme that he's going to run. Well, also in the off season, he talked about, I seriously thought about retiring. That doesn't make me feel super confident either about spending whatever, just from a fantasy standpoint. So I, I think he's fun to have as your second quarterback, if you could just play him a bunch of times, but I don't think he could be your lead guy in fantasy. I think you'd have to have a really good backup. You can't just be like, I'm all in on Tua. If he gets hurt, that'll be it. Like you have to have two guys. It depends on your league. Uh, you know, I mean, like if you're in a one quarterback league, I think you can because usually the replacement value is pretty easy. There's enough guys in the waiver wire that you'll be able to get another quarterback if something happens there, but not in my league, seven quarterbacks, you're not getting, you're not getting, I'm stacking all of them in my league, as you know, quarterback quarter. Right. This is, so this is advice for everyone that plays in leagues that aren't with Bill Simmons. So this is not for your West coast league. This is not your league of dorks, but for any of the, uh, for anybody that plays in a league with normal people, that doesn't have a guy in your league that drafts seven quarterbacks, I think you'll be okay. But yeah, it's a concern. The positives, uh, is that, you know, that last year Tyree killed Jalen waddle, all their guys, it didn't matter who was quarterback. They still produced with Bridgewater. They still produced with Skylar Thompson. So maybe you take Tua with Mike White as the backup. Is that crazy? Mike White for a dollar. Who's bidding two on Mike White. Yeah, no, listen, no, one's saying two on Mike White. I don't, again, if you're in a deeper league, if there's a concern that you wouldn't be able to get him on the waiver wire, if something were to happen, then okay. But I agree with you. I think Mike White is going to be a better fit as a quarterback for Miami. Should something happen to Tua than the guys they had last year. I really liked Mike White. He was bad down the stretch, but he was also banged up. I don't know how much one had to do with the other, but he, uh, he didn't seem like he could hold up for three games. Now the Jets can't block. So maybe not totally his fault, but yeah, to a thing, I'll tell you this with Tua and we're a lot less meaner as a society than we used to be in the early years of fantasy when, uh, way back in the 1990s with the jokes and the, and this amount of sarcasm and just the lack of lines, there will be some snickers when Tua gets drafted just from a fantasy standpoint, somebody in the room will be like, Oh, okay, so who's going to be your starting quarterback and you'll get all those jokes, but you just, you just got to know he could play four games. He could play 17. But he's, he's one of those guys that could make a break. I am at quarterback 10. He's got top five fantasy quarterback upside, but he also, to your point, he could, he could retire at some point. Right. All right. Who's next? Uh, well, it's interesting. You mentioned Mike White. You mentioned that, uh, that offensive line breeze hall is when does he come back? Like I saw clips of him running around looking great, but that seems inconceivable. He tore his ACL in November, I think. Yep. And so, uh, week seven, his life, his life, his left ACL and his meniscus. And again, he's a young player, but the other thing is, is that they don't, that's a team, the jets that, that, you know, obviously legitimately thinks they have Superbowl aspirations that they have a chance to Superbowl. They're all in for this year, obviously with Rogers. And so for their point of view, they need breeze hall in December and January. And that's one of the reasons they went on, they got Dalvin cook. You mean fantasy playoff time, December and January. Yeah. But how are you, but in terms of where breeze hall is going, you're using that draft capital to get breeze hall. And if he's not that guy, if he's not the guy that you saw week three through seven, where he averaged over 18 fantasy points per game, where he was getting 19 touches a game, where he averaged 122 yards from scrimmage in the four games that he had 14 more touches. And he's not that guy. Um, and he's just merely like, you know, one B to Dalvin cooks one a or anything like that. Then you're sort of like, okay, like breeze hall, a healthy breeze hall is awesome. I have a suspicion about how I think the backfield split is going to go between him and cook. And I'll talk about that in a second, but we just don't know. We don't know how healthy he is. Even if he's healthy, does he have the explosiveness? Remember with Saquon Saquon had the ACL and he came back, but he wasn't Saquon. He didn't have that big play burst ability. You know, it took him quite a while to sort of work up to that, even though he was out there grinding it out. And so if he doesn't have that big playability or if they're limiting him because they want him to work into shape and they they've got, you know, Dalvin cook, you know, I haven't running back 14, but that's a guy that could easily be a top 10 running back. That could be guy that could also finish the year outside the top 30 wide range for, for breeze hall, especially because by the way, you also, again, he's a young player and you know how Rogers is. If Rogers is like Dalvin cook picks up the blitz and breeze hall does it or whatever. Like he wants a veteran back there. Dalvin cooks on the jets, I think in large part because Aaron Rogers wanted a veteran. You know how Rogers is? You mean, so I shouldn't buy the infomercial hard knocks that is just making Rogers seem like he's the greatest guy who ever lived. I just think Aaron Rogers is a guy that's going to be very demanding. He's very demanding on his teammates. He's obviously, he's hit, he's coming back. He's come to New York. He's, he gave up whatever, $35 million or whatever it is. He restructured his deal like Rogers is all in for this year as well. And so he's not going to, you know, he's not going to be like, listen, I'm not going to get my ass kicked because, you know, Donovan Knight, Donovan Knight or, you know, Michael Carter didn't pick up a blitz, get me, or, you know, get me a veteran back there, get me a real guy. And so think about 2021 with Aaron Rogers and Nathaniel Hackett were together into green Bay the last year they were together in 2021 in green Bay. Aaron Jones got about 18 touches a game. AJ Dylan got about 13 and obviously Dylan and Jones are very different players than Cook and Hall, but I think the splits about right. I, you know, they used both backs, Dylan and Jones very effectively that year. That was the year that Rogers won the MVP in 2021. You made the key point already. The Saquon Barkley, it's a two year injury. And every time we do this, the guy is coming back a year later and they're like, oh, he might be on play. Everyone gets excited. And then the year doesn't go as well as everybody thought it was going to go. And then they're like, well, it is a two year injury. And then a year later, the guy comes back and he's awesome again. It's like, you know, it was a two year injury. So Breece Hall is just going to be different. In his case, it's going to be a one year injury and I'm two year injury. I just don't think he's going to have the same explosiveness. And I think Cook's going to eat into his carrots. He's not on my list. So, and by the way, and you know, kind of an addendum to him, he wasn't gonna be one of the guys I brought up and Javonte Williams is under that same, is in that same conversation. Another guy that, you know, that touch that, that had a, that was really talented, but had a bad ACL injury. They signed Samajit Pirain to real money. Sean Payton, his last five of his last six years that he was coaching the Saints, Sean Payton gave 150 touches to multiple running backs. Five of the six years he was with the Saints and Samajit Pirain's been giving interviews like, why'd you go to Denver? He's like Sean Payton called me and said like, look at how I used running backs in Denver. I'm sorry, New Orleans. I'm going to use multiple running backs. You're going to have a real role come to Denver. So even though it's great, Devontae Williams played week two and awesome story, but like does he have the explosiveness? How much does Samajit Pirain touch the ball? Does Sean Payton try to turn, you know, Greg Dulchis into his version of Taysom Hill in Denver like a joker and do weird stuff in the backfield? Like it's, you know, so Javonte Williams is another guy that's sort of like, not on my list. Yeah, not on my list. Who's next? Najee Harris. So before you go, I'm, I'm kind of out. I actually think the backup's going to cut into a lot of the stuff. The backup was good. Is that where you're going? Jalen Warren. That's so like, these aren't people that I'm definitely in on. These are, these are the top 10 guys that could make or break your season. These are guys, I didn't want to go with somebody that's got a, you know, an ADP in the sixties, cause that's not going to break a breakup scene. But like Najee Harris is being drafted as a running back too. He's going in the, you know, the first four rounds in most drafts. Um, and so that's somebody who, if you leave your draft with Najee Harris is you're running back too. If he's the Najee from two years ago or whatever. Okay, great. But if he's the guy from last year where he averaged 3.8 yards per carry, which is bottom five among running backs with a hundred or more carries where he's 5.5 yards perception per reception, second lowest among qualified running backs and 10 different games with a snap rate below 70%. To your point about Jalen Warren, like who looked awesome and ripped off that 63 yard touchdown in the preseason. Like, yeah, Najee Harris is somebody that again, could be a top 15 fantasy running back could also be outside the top 40 and not be as good as Jalen Warren. Yeah. Here's a good trivia question for you. Bill last year, Najee Harris had 313 touches, 313 out of those 313 touches. How many of them went for 20 or more yards? Oh God, probably like less than 10. I would say like eight. One. Wow. He had one carry of more than 20 yards out of 313. Wasn't there all kinds of stats about how bad he was at making guys miss and I, I test wise, cause I remember coming out of college, everybody loved him and was like, Oh my God, that guy's a beast. I test wise, I never could ever really stood out to be that much. He might be Trent Richardson. Oh wow. I just was like, you know, I mean, again, this is a guy who last year, you know, again, had over 300 touches. He was top eight in both goal to go touches and red zone touches among running backs. He had double digit fantasy points in 14 to 17 games. Like there's a volume based argument for Najee Harris. The question is, does he get the volume? Because to your point, Warren continues to like, look good, look like a running back, be more efficient. My Steeler fan friends. Cause I've mentioned this Najee thing to them. And they're like, Oh, did you say he'd be Shribisky as his quarterback for eight man fronts and that whole thing. So there is a case like, all right, he's in a better situation. Pittsburgh, I think has a chance to be really good. They have, they, uh, they finished the year seven and two, which everybody's talking about the lions as this amazing, Oh my God, the lions could look at how they finished the year. And it's like, well, the Steelers also finished the year. Well, we don't talk about them at all. Um, and I, I kind of like picket. I thought he was okay last year. I don't think he's an all pro, but he's okay. He's better than Mitch Trubisky. So I think that division's going to be awesome. I, by the way, I agree with you. Like I pick, it's one of my sleepers. So I've got my love hate column coming out later this week and picket's going to be on it as one of my, you know, others receiving votes in the quarterback. I really like him. I think he's more, again, he's, he's not super mobile, but he's, you know, 20, 30 yards a game, mobile and Deontay, Johnson's second year, George Pickens, Pat fryer, Muth like they said Allen Robinson in the slot, the ghost of Allen Robinson, like in the slot could be useful. Like, I, you know, like this weapons, they finished this year strong. I like Pittsburgh. I'm with you. I, and I do think picket is, uh, I think potentially in a deep at two quarterback league or a deeper league, I think he's an interesting sleeper. I like Pittsburgh this year as a kind of a sleeper offense. I have a joke that only you will get. And for other people, Allen Robinson, the Carla Gugino of fantasy receivers, just each year, like this is the show, this is a movie it's gonna, no, she's in a movie with the rock. This is it. It's good. It's going to hit. Allen Robinson maybe 45 and we're still going to be thinking this is going to be the year for him. Carla Gugino. I'm trying to, there was a TV show that she was in. I mean, there's a million things that she was in. There was a cop show. I think that they tried to make her, she was in the Showtime roadies show. Uh, but she, San Andreas was probably the closest she came, but I always liked her. I was like, just somebody put her in a good movie. She was a T bill. Uh, this is adjacent to our nine Oh two and Oh love. Wasn't she in Melrose place for a minute? No, I think she just looked like four people that were on Melrose place. She might've been on one of the reboots. Maybe. All right. So we're, we're agreeing too much. Who's next? I can't wait to argue with you about one of these guys. All right, we'll figure it out. Uh, other guys that I think could make or break your season that just wide range of outcomes. How about JK Dobbins? So I think the rate the Ravens offense I think is going to be awesome this year. I think awesome. Awesome. So first off, Lamar's happy. He got paid. Todd. Munkin is the new offensive coordinator. You think about what he did at Georgia. Like, I think they are going to be much more pass heavy. I think they're going to be much more uptempo. Hopefully they, you know, Bateman stays healthy, but adding OBJs a flowers is the real deal. They already have Mark Andrews, like that's going to be an uptempo fantasy friendly offense. Okay. Um, and, but with JK Dobbins, like, you know, like again, so I can give you positive stats like forest career, 5.9 yards per carry, which is the highest among all running backs of that stretch. Minimum 200 carries three of us final four games last year. If you return from injury had 90 more rushing yards, he's averaging a rushing touchdown every 20 carries for his career. That's top five among running backs over that stretch. And yet he's never had a game with more than 17 touches. He's had under 15 touches in 17 of his 23 career games. Baltimore actually ranks 28th and running back carries over the past two seasons when they run the ball, it's often with Lamar. And I don't think it's going to change much because I think they're going to be much more pass happy this year. He's got one game in his career. JK Dobbins has one game in his career with over 25 receiving yards. He's a nothing in the passing game. So it's just like, if JK Dobbins is the lead running back on an offense, he's in scoring position off and he could get a bunch of kind of bunny touchdowns. He could also just be in this weird mix with it's him. And it's Gus Edwards. And there's some justice Hill and Lamar Jackson leads the team in rushing again. And they're just throwing the ball all over. Other piece, their defense looks like it might be in trouble this year. They've already had some bad luck on the injury front. It was dubious in general, even before Humphrey went down. Um, and I'm wondering, are, are there going to just be higher scoring Ravens games this year? Yeah. And more like that 37 30 game near the end of the year against Pittsburgh is that, is that just going to be, you know, just a little more fun Ravens team than we're used to a little less Justin Tucker, more touchdowns, a little more explosive. I just feel like they've changed their identity every year. And how many times have they brought in a first or second round receiver at this point? Like, are we up to 10 and each year it's like this guy, Marquis Brown, just wait. Who's that guy? Boykin, Miles Boykin. Um, that, but it just seems like this rotating cast and they've never totally unlocked it. And also like, I know they paid Lamar, but they also, they paid Lamar and, you know, that comes with a different level of expectations. What happens if they start out, you know, two and four, and he throws a couple of picks and people are like, fuck man, we gave you all this money. So I don't, I'm just not as locked in on them as I think other people are. I don't know. They love it. They almost went to Cincinnati and, you know, and beat the bangles in the playoffs for the backup quarterback. I think Harbaugh is a hell of a coach. Those guys, I think the Ravens always play tough. And, uh, you know, I, I do think, you know, hope Springs eternal with OBJ, but if he's back to anything like the fact that Lamar called him, recruited him there, um, I do think Munkin wants to, I mean, every stop of his career, Munkin has just been a guy that throws a ton. And so Bateman, if you look at the kind of the underlying metrics of Bateman, like in terms of, you know, um, there's, I think there's, I have, I've ever shot Bateman in way too many dynasty leagues. So I like Bateman. You don't have to sell me on Bateman. I mean, I, I agree. Bateman's good. He's got flowers. I think it's the real deal. So, so anyway, I'm, I'm, I'm in on, uh, but JT, JK Dobbins wide range of outcomes. I don't love, I don't have a lot of JK Dobbins this year. I probably won't be drafting him a lot, but that's a guy that was another wide range of outcomes guy. I think one thing with Baltimore, first of all, their schedule is brutal coming out of the gate. They have like four or six, but just in general, they're playing AFC South and NFC West. You go through, there's like a lot of like gimme games with them that I wonder like when you talk about running backs, you know, they get to play Arizona and they get to play Houston. And what if Tennessee's not good? They get to play Indianapolis early. And could there be some games where they're just stat like if they're stacking and they're like 30 30 and 10 and Dobbins is getting cheap ones near the end, something like that. I don't know what to expect from them. I've in general, I've not had a lot of fun with Ravens on my fantasy team and I don't really know what that is. Well, yeah, they, they're one of those teams that's other than like Andrews and Jackson. They, one of those teams, it's like much better real life NFL team than a lot of fantasy points. Tucker's always great though. Tucker's been the most reliable. Yeah. Tucker's great. Jackson's great when he's out there. Obviously Andrews is great, but then you're like, you know, the next day, you're like, wait a minute, six for 73 from Devin DuVernay. Why did that happen? Right. All right. Who's next? Okay.

"Guys, you remember last year, he was one of the big name free agents before the ram signed him up on that three year roughly about $15 million a year contract. There were so much buzz about him during the pre season. It was the Allen Robinson show in LA, but as we saw that the season as the season progressed, injuries on that team, obviously was the major headline there. And he had his own set of injuries that he was dealing well with. So we'll see if this is going to be a fresh start for him in Pittsburgh where we know they're certainly in need of a good receiver. Yeah, we'll get to the Pittsburgh angle of this Diana because I think that's huge too, but first I want to start with the ram side, Louis. With Alan Robinson gone, this has to make you think full rebuild for the rams, right? Absolutely, Laura. I mean, the juxtaposition between the two franchises between one is the build up in Pittsburgh. Well, in the rams, what we're talking right now, this is just a straight up tear down to the studs type of situation. It really is, and look, what's coming home to roost. Right now you're having to pay the piper when it comes to you know what them picks, as Marcus, you know, alluded to in our Kunar call and you know what I'm talking about. You know and how they feel about draft picks. There's things that now they're having to come to grips with, which is now they're going to be a football team that has a quarterback who when he spoke just the other day, was talking about right now I feel about as good as I can feel right now. We have one wide receiver right now and that's Cooper Cup because our other wide receiver in Allen Robinson who we thought was going to be a good player is no longer here. We have a good group of tight ends on offensive line that needs to be rebuilt. We have one good defensive player right now who is a game changer. This is not even close to being the same Super Bowl team as it was two years ago. This is a full rebuild and they don't have a number one pick. They better hit on all their other draft picks and really, really be good at putting together a new roster and people better be patient in LA. Damn low leave them some hope. Leave them some hope already. Now you're right. It ain't none. It ain't none. It's a couple years for some oak return to LA for the rams. Here's the thing for the Steelers though boogie. This is a, I think this is a phenomenal pickup. One, you ushering in an opportunity for a young quarterback to continue to progress. You look at this offense with George pickens, a big body receiver. You add Alan Lazar. Allen Robinson to this mix who is 6 two George pickens the receiver that I alluded to at 6 three and you think about both of these guys working in unison in a division where you have to be physical. Not only physical in catching the football but physical and blocking because they still are going to want to run the ball in Pittsburgh as well, but this is this is what you have the ability to do when you have confidence in some assurances in your young quarterback. You want to start to invest in them. Build a roster, see how much he can make this roster and make these weapons more valuable as you push to go forward. Pittsburgh get a damn playoffs without having a good team. Sometimes. So now the fact that they are surrounding Kenny Pickett with some offensive weapons, they experience a valid Robinson, the athletic ability of him as well along with George pickens who they are very high on. I think the Pittsburgh still has made a great move and sneakily. We may be talking about this at the end of the season when they are pushing not only to get in the playoffs, but be a problem for whoever they face. Yeah, look, I'm not saying that Kenny Pickett is Jalen hurts, but you see what the eagles did, for instance, as a team that surrounded a younger quarterback with a lot of great weapons and, you know, Louis, when you think about the potential of what George pickens can be, I love the guy. I thought he was incredibly talented even coming out of college. Now you put Alan Robinson on that offense. That's gonna get you pretty excited if you're a steelers fan. There's no question. Look, you build wide receiver rooms like you have a like you build a basketball team. You gotta have your point guards. You gotta have your power forward. Maybe a big man, you got your guys on the perimeter. That's what they're doing. And Pittsburgh has done this in the wide in the wide receiver room over the past ten, 15 years as well as anyone. In the combination of Allen, along with George pickens along with pat fryer moved it tight end. I mean, this along with Deontay Johnson, these are the kind of people that now can make a young quarterback like Kenny Pickett feel as though, hey, look, I can really start, you know, spreading my wings a little bit. I can start taking some more chances. I can start trying to create down the field because I have a bunch of different guys that I can go to in different situations. It's the blueprint. This is how you make young quarterbacks look good. Unlike some other teams that aren't necessarily doing that for their young quarterbacks. Yeah, we don't like that. By the way, for week ten on last season. Let's get petty Lou going. We did on last season, the Steelers with 6 and two. And Kenny Pickett ranked 8th among quarterbacks in total QBR. That was without a guy like Alan Robinson, and maybe some more that they're going to even add in the draft potentially. We're just getting started today on NFL live high for junior joins us to discuss the draft top QBs. He'll tell you exactly why they picked will levis where they did and is Bryce young still the number one overall pick. You'll hear from the Panthers GM on all that plus. The Patriots, new offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien addressed the media today. Here what he had to say about what we should expect coming out of Mac Jones this upcoming season. We'll be right back on NFL live. Will we see four quarterbacks in the top 5 picks of the NFL Draft coming up? Well, those are the four that it could be, right? But it's getting a little murky at the top, especially behind Bryce young. Here's Panthers GM Scott fitter on their approach to having the number one overall fix. No, you know what? We're still going through the process. Obviously through this whole since February of the combine and everything else, there's been some clarity, but we've made a conscious effort to keep an open mind about this. We saw yesterday that Bryce canceled his last visit. Yeah. Has there been communication to him that he's the pick? No, there is not. And you know, that's a decision he made on his own. And I just refer you to his reps and to Bryce as to why. Okay, so Mel kiper junior and Todd mcshay have a joint GM mock draft out now that's fascinating. This is not based on what they're hearing like some of their other mocks, but rather what they would do if they were the GMs in charge of drafting for these teams. So of

"Jared Goff, and deshaun Watson was the other quarterback that I took. This is super flex. So I did have to take like a Jared Goff later in the draft to cover me for this year in case Watson is suspended for the whole year. And I basically went all tight ends for all tight ends and wide receivers. That was my strategy. I don't like drafting running backs and also flex format. We don't have to. And I will say at the end here, I did grab. I advised that people take Malik Willis in the tenth round and I followed my own advice. I was not going to pass on Malik that late. For the future potential. Was there any player that you got to draft that you maybe thought they wouldn't be there in that round? I just asked that because to me, to get Gabe Davis in the 7th round, the good get to get my sticky, just sticky, however, we want to pronounce it in the 13th round in a tight end premium is a good git. Was there anything that stood out to you? Yeah, I mean, Gabe Davis, I think, technically because of ADD, I reached on him a little bit, but we were in a draft with a few Buffalo Bills fans. So I wanted to make sure I snuck up there and grabbed him early. Other than that, I wasn't like elated. I mean, awkwardly, deshaun Watson fell to the third round and I was I had to trade up to grab him. I just felt like the value there was unreal. But other than that, like I said, I think Malik Willis was the guy that I was super happy to get where I got him. Rob, what about you? All right, so I'll recap my first three rounds that we talked about last episode. I had Jamar chase Stephon Diggs and Devante Adams. And since then, I had in the fourth round. I finally took a quarterback. I got Derek Carr. 5th round I followed it up with a rookie. I took Drake London. I don't know if it was the first work he'd taken. Reese hall pride was off the board by then. Yeah, he went three 9. Okay, so probably was the second rookie taken there because I think Ryan took trail on Burke's right after I took London if I did a mistake. Let's see. I followed up London with my second quarterback Kirk Cousins. And another rookie, Jameson Williams. Got another wide receiver, Jameson Williams. I just said that and I think his name is Williams, dude. You're loaded. I wish I could. I'm trying to follow this because they're a little out of order in my slots here. Amari Cooper was my next pick. Followed by AJ Dylan, that's a right third quarterback, Matt Ryan. And let's go a couple more picks. I had pat fryer move, rondo more, Tyler Lockett, he mines.

"That is your home turf What did you think about it And the NFL ratings were through the roof in this game Yeah the second highest NFL game in recent memory only the cowboys and Washington football team of about ten years ago had a higher rating which really surprised me because I don't think they take into account how many people are watching on tablets on phones on the desktop computers I don't think Nielsen has access to all those ratings But this was everything it built up to be There were no losers in this game Brady came back Belichick of had a defense form and the game wasn't decided until Nick folks 56 yard field goal hit the upright with 52 seconds to go And this was just an absolute bonanza It was a huge game of Tom Brady No surprise was a rousing ovation as you just heard right there But once the game started people were given thumbs down to Tom He just an opponent Scarlett I know that everybody's been talking about this game but the biggest thing that I think about it is the NFL is always king when it comes to the four major food groups when it comes to sports Absolutely And it wasn't just this game either The NFL saying that the average game has had 17.3 million viewers this season That is a 17% increase from the same time as 2020 Granted 2020 is not a normal year But still this is kind of better than what anyone expected And apparently Tom Brady is in the center of most of these most viewed games the 21 most watched shows on TV since the start of the season NFL games What are they bugs versus patriots Obviously cowboys versus bucks cowboys versus chargers box versus rams and steelers versus packers So Tom Brady and three of those games it's pretty pretty notable That's an interesting theory on all those games Because I've talked to a lot of people it is the advent in the emergence of these gambling platforms giraffe king's FanDuel MGM Caesar's where you used to just bet the game the line in the game okay but I'm giving 7 and a half points So the over under is 42 I'm taking the over the under But it's the game continues You can bet on who's going to score the next touchdown You can bet on whether that's going to the game is going to end in an even number of points or an odd number of points So right to the very very end until the clock reads zero zero zero People are still gambling on the game on some different prop bet And I know I heard from a bunch of young people who were over someone's house watching one day and if a guy named pat fryer move of the Pittsburgh steel is called a touchdown pass in the last two minutes of the game they were going to win $900 and they kept the game on because of that And I think that's one of the reasons that we've seen this surreal surge in 17 percentages at scarlet in viewership And you gotta wonder whether the advertising rates for a spot near the end of the game versus the middle of the game versus the start of the game they're going to start to be equalized There's gambling going on in this establishment I'm shocked Yeah right Let's move on to the next topic Oh my goodness This is let's start the golfing feud These two guys they've dominated the golf headlines.

"A stress on the buffalo of defense. Because they have to think about how they want to handle that or we're gonna we're gonna to line-up in a traditional sense with our our corner or out there on that running back Are we going to put a linebacker out there on him and now bring a corner inside where maybe he asked the now. Cover a tight end. Something along those lines Simple things like that. Which an offense can do very easily. Without having to completely overhaul their scheme create A lot of stress for defense. And then then you start motioning shifting in moving guys around then you start changing your personnel groups. I mean the steelers were just. They were so eleven personnel heavy last year and a defense had such a good idea about all right. Well here's who's going to be on the field and so you know here's how we're going to line-up to them and that it just we just didn't make it hard on defenses last year I think the steelers have the personnel this year to be one of the most multiple offenses in the league. They can go twelve personnel because they got to really good tight ends in iran and firemen with They can go thing. Go three tight ends if they want. I mean as because agent gentry. I thought blocks really well in the in the preseason. They can go five they can go. Four wides nausea harris. Split out I mean the they can use. Derek watt. who's. I think underused last year. I mean there's an awful lot of talent on that offensive roster that if you get creative with the way that you use that talent you're gonna put a lot of stress on defense. I'm really hoping to see that. From canada absolutely in a. Here's one guy that i want to bring up. But before i do that. We know that. Ben roethlisberger is paramount in this game and we know what najji harris needs to do to open some things up but with the corner and you talked about johnson and of course davis white and jordan. Hoyer had a good game against pittsburgh last year as well. I mean they are loaded in the defensive backfield. My thought is that eric hebron and to a lesser extent. Pat fryer really need to exploit the middle. And i think iran could be the guy to have a lot of success if he could hold onto the ball and i think he's actually a lot better at holding onto the ball and a lot of people think that he is but i really feel that he could exploit that medal and he's going to need to have a good day for the steelers to really make some hay on offense. Am i off. Base there now men. The bills are ripe to be play actions because they are so aggressive with their linebackers Terrain admits is a downhill backer. Man he is he is coming to attack the run and then matt milano. He's not a big duties. He's listed six foot two twenty five something around the around their bronze six five five or six five or maybe even six six. You got some guys with some size advantages. That steelers can get the buffalo backers aggressive against the run Or they can scheme them so that you can now get maybe a fire or or ibran matched up all milano. You got a big advantage right there that you that you can exploit so yeah absolutely. I'm i'm a huge advocate of tight ends in the passing game. There's a reason why so many teams in the nfl are now trying to add. These sort of hybrid. You know these flex tight engineers move tight ends whatever you wanna call him and it's because they create they create match problems and when you get a gallic fire moves Block end catch than You know you can use him however many ways that you can think of on the white board you know and so that should be a really interesting to look for this week. Well absolutely great analysis. I appreciate it you know. I have already gone on record of what my pick is going to be. And i picked the buffalo bills thirty pittsburgh twenty four but after this last half hour in this conversation for the pregame show. You have me wanting to change it completely. I can't because then the The stat geek. And the editor. They'll be all over me for not being consistent. So i'm gonna stick exactly where i am but you have me feeling it so i'm gonna ask you your score for this game as we get ready to wrap things up. Well you know. As i talked about being optimistic and then all the things. I'm excited i'm also picking the bills so and it's not because i i don't you know it's up. I don't like the steelers team. It's just that I don't think they're ready to win in buffalo in week one because buffalo's bringing back pretty much their entire squad from last year the steelers that a tremendous amount of change especially now when you think about the offensive on but the the key to to really winning the football game beyond you know what candidates able to scheme up is just going to be how well can the steelers run the football control the clock play action the bills You know they they have not run it well again. The past two years and they've lost both both times. I don't know if the offensive line is ready to tell you. I mean that'd be the first time that these guys have ever played a real game together. And i think the steelers are going to get better as the season goes. I think they're going to be a team like you alluded to earlier that they might lose him buffalo week one but if they see the bills in the playoffs it might be a whole different story because i expect the steelers to be much better team in december january than they're going to be on the first weekend september so i had the bills winning twenty seven twenty. I think it's going to be really good game. But a game. In which inevitably. I think the steelers would just be a little bit short alright. It's earlier. let's wrap this up if you were going to give them a quick fifteen second pre game speech. You're talking to the steelers to get them ready. What are you saying to them. Do your job do your job. I mean you can. You can give the greatest Motivational speech in the history of football. The best one i've ever seen is al pacino in any given sunday. That's a great hollywood speech where he talks about. You know defending every inch in the blood and sweat and all that it takes to defend every inch the field. It's help speech and it made me want to run through a.

"You could throw onto your rosser If you are waiting on quarterback and you are playing the game draft after draft after draft. I am shocked at how late. Big ben rothlisberger. I love this one going so i think you could throw him like there. There are several leagues. Where i am throwing a second quarterback on my bench for week one. A couple of the names that i would bring up is so big bins one of them. He has a schedule. That look weak. One he's at buffalo but we haven't seen this offense. He's gotten incredible weapons. And then you got las vegas in cincinnati at home that's juicy so if you're streaming maybe you've got a week one starter like her cousins. Big ben should be picked up because it could get interesting in pittsburgh bakers and other name that i will throw out there. I want to see if i can find a weekly starter or somebody. That's a great compliment to who. I drafted to start and i want to throw them on the back of my bench for a week. One just to see what happens so i think big been. Is that option for a lot of fantasy players. And like i mean we're in a we just finished the best ball and he's you know like the adp for big. Ben is below like zach wilson. And you know other options were like. Oh yeah big. Ben's down there. And i think he's an undrafted opportunity. We we give a streaming quarterback or we. We give some options every single week. When we're talking about the waivers. And i can almost guarantee that big ben is going to be on that list. Come tuesday with those week to raise the raiders. Week three against the bengals. So if you are if you're starting quarterback is not strong and you know that you're probably going to be looking for a great match of next week and you want to get ahead of it. I think ben is a excellent at a addition to your last year against cincinnati at home. Which is the week three matchup. He was twenty seven for forty six. Three thirty three and four like big. Ben has those games in every year and You know if. Mike's right trace clay. We'll take a huge step forward if deonte becomes more consistent in his is always open. If here's a running back you can throw to again too. That's very valuable because you're gonna get a lot of cheap points out of that if you can dump it to naji in watsonville fifty. Six ers down the sideline as the best rookie tight end. The season pat fryer mouth. So it's just. I mean awesome. I'm loose them. yes for sure. Youth luther luther the mutate. We're gonna work. We're gonna workshop that one. The mute is loose. What is there to workshop. That's gold Thank you mike. I can't wait on the tracks monday monday. Punday on Fryer move does goes for two touchdowns to touch downs. All right jason. Mike you wanna share your second. A if you're dumpster diving for the tight end position. I like the addition of parham And this name has been mentioned. A lot like briefly talked about him when When adam trautmann was injured. And we still don't know the timeline for that injury for the new orleans saints but john johnson. He's an undrafted player. Undrafted free agent but he liked parham. He has a certain skill set. He's he's a big dude. Six four to thirty runs a sub four six and right now nick vinet there other tight end. He's on the short term. I are michael. Thomas is gonna is on the pup. He's out until at least week. Seven acoust- catching the ball for this team. I know that that calloway is the sensation of the preseason. But somebody else has to do something on this team and john johnson might be the one that steps up last year. Jared cook a kind of a shell of jared cook commanded a twelve percent target's share manny. Sanders was sixteen percent. Both of those players are now gone. Where is the ball going to go. Joon johnson may be a spot starter for those first few weeks. Can i can. I kind of move to another saints related topic that we actually haven't got the talk. Let's do it They did keep four quarterbacks. I don't know if you saw that. Yeah so i do believe that. Like you. ask the question who they're gonna throw the ball. And my my be tasting titan might because i think he's going to be used in the tastes hill role. Trevor siemian is on the roster. Ian book was kept as well so they can make tastes hill active outside the quarterback position on game day. And if they want to and he he will be involved. Originally i did not think when when they named winston starter i did not think the taste hill would be used in any of those gadget roles but what they did at quarterback ensures that they are going to get back to the to the tune. Where if if jameis winston were to go down mid game it might not be million who is the actual backup game plan because tastes them. Hill might be over in them. Tight in meetings So yeah that's that's very interesting and maybe all end up being able to play Taste them hill as an. Don't you be quiet was here. I'm fully prepared to be completely surprised with who catches passes for the saints in week. One to be honest is john. Johnson like mike mentioned he could grab some is it little jordan. Humphry is a deontay. Harris is a ty montgomery. It's going to be a hodgepodge of probably no meaningful instructive value as they wait for michael thomas to return. Jason can't get away from thai thai johnson and Tyson williams the. We've talked about him earlier. This show and over the last couple of days the running back for the ravens who has been thrust into fantasy relevance due to the injury user of a ravens running backs i know they signed levy on bell and he's on the practice squad again tyson would be the guy would prefer a. He is a big back. Five eleven to twenty damian williams. Bill you can catch the ball And so i i would. I would certainly pick him up. overti- johnson. But because we've talked about him the other name i wanted to bring up is actually the cleveland browns. It's funny because i i'm not one that wants to draft. Babb backup tight. End usually draft backup quarterback certainly not a backup defense but next week. The hot commodity on the waiver wire will be the browns defense. They're a good wins. They're probably going to be coming off a loss against the chiefs. Maybe maybe not. But they are going to be playing the houston texans and i have home. I have a strong feeling this year. There's going to be a great strategy of start. The defense against the texans. Well what's very interesting about both names that you brought up. Is that mike. And i sign them in our league of record six minutes ago. All you sons of guns. So mike actually spent two fab to pick up tyson williams and the browns were on my bench for next week against houston. So i'm i'm incredibly happy about that. I've mentioned that my league of record team is a full hero. Rb i've no idea and my running back to is going to be the unfortunate part is i- i- overbid by two because no no one else even tried to get him a bunch of clowns in this league. I got since we're talking about our waivers here. Looks like i was able to snag the pittsburgh steelers who were on the waivers in our listener league. Nice don't know if you guys saw that one drop. Nope nope nope no. We didn't good for you. Thank you yeah. But you and i did reject each other's trade offers yesterday we sure. Did we countered. And then rejected. Yeah all right any other names that we should bring up. I mean you. We throughout trae quan as well but any other. I think that's a good list. All right thursday night breakdown..

"I would buy both of those statements that he's inactive and they don't use them and then by week four he's the the main guy i just. I can't believe that tevin coleman is going to get a lot of points. I'm ahead of him. And that tie. Johnson is gonna play ahead of him through week. Four cream rises to the top. He he's like best running back. I'm just going to say this. I maybe michael. Carter is cream but michael carter is a day three running back. Who was a committee back in college. And he just had a month competing against kevin coleman tigon p ryan and he's currently listed behind all of them by the way. Look at this graphic here This is an old jacob. Gibbs tweet kim kirk cousins passer rating one hundred and forty two point five mandy fences twenty one points above second place. So yeah kirk. Cousins crushes mandy fence Yeah that's from last year but thank you shaggy now. Hopefully we didn't wake up. Jacob for nothing i don't i can't see michael carter rushing for one thousand yards that he would have to average fifty eight yards per game rushing I can't see them breaking a thousand yards. It is a little weird How he's fallen to third on the depth chart he's never been anywhere. He's fourth actually. Sorry i well remember he got. Hey michael carter got first team reps. That was way the beginning training. That was that was when training camp started. Yeah so not ready. I don't know all right from. Caleb caleb at a lot of good ones i have put to caleb by ourselves in here jerick mckinnon has more receptions and collided brasileira this season. I don't want to buy that. I don't want to either. I don't want to buy it. That's like buying dental insurance. I don't know if it will be. Mckinnon is my only problem. But i do. Project daryl williams jerick mckinnon combined to have more receptions than cloud. I won't buy it. Okay has more confidence in clyde if that one comes through. It won't be good if this one comes true. We're gonna have a problem here from caleb again by ourselves. Pat fryer muse finishes the season with more touchdowns than kyle pits pie in that it would be duper fun. I would be very happy if it did happen from everybody's kind of over overvaluing those two touchdowns that farm youth had against the lions playing with rothlisberger. I don't think that's a sign that he's going to be their best red zone target. I think that was rothlisberger. Making great plays in friar youth. Just being right place right time. i'm gonna. I'm gonna say he is in a fantasy sense rooting against kyle pits. No i root for chaos. Generally when it doesn't impact me and i didn't really drafted kyle pits once so i just pretty much always root for chaos outside of my own interests and it would be. It'd be really fat. Fryer move was the best rookie tight end this year. That would be fine. Would be brando says buyer by. Aj green can get back to his old self. Didn't we see his old self last year. I believe that he's an old right. I think he bounces back. But there's no way bounce back to his old self question is will bounce back to fantasy relevance j. green okay from lewis buyer sell rondell. More will be second in targets on the cardinals. This season.

"Julio jones sixty eight hundred pair with calvin ridley my wide receiver to okay so yeah. I'm also i'm also. Julio the double stack again. I just don't know anyone on that cardinals. Defense that can cover. Aj brown or julio jones. I am salivating at this lineup. Kramer i have a feeling the titans are gonna make their way into our card. Why not just load up a little. Bit more with this Milly maker sek and now certainly the gets messed up is if it turns into an ugly game or of derrick henry has derrick henry like game and and just steals all the touchdowns and eats up all the yards. But i'm leaning into this titans Passing attack give me Julio jones a pair with aj brand both both all three my receivers have the red juice. I'm gonna be I'm going to be keeping an eye on that injury report and we will be you down with the live Pre-game show answering all your questions. So i'm sure some late injuries shit will go down so stay tuned for that. Who's your What are you got adam. Who's your final receiver third receiver. I'm going to houston. And i'm taking brandin cooks He's a man who's always produced. He does it year after year with every conceivable kind of quarterback you could want did it with jared goff. He was a fantasy relevant option. He's been fantasy relevant every stop. He's a great price at fifty three hundred. Because as you're filling out your roster takes top end down fifty three hundred. Would you rather have brandin cooks. Who's his team's undisputed number. One option arrests gauge. Who's his team's fourth-best pass catcher odell beckham junior. Who's probably not the best receiver on his team. Portland in playing In a crowded receiver room brandin cooks as the undisputed number one in houston. Well worth the price to get a wide receiver. One at fifty three hundred. He's part of my tyrod double style. I like that play out. I really do know brandin cooks. We're the only people talking Texans dfs and fantasy options in the world. All right show every week. One against the jags. Now well we might be an adjacent to us My dad we got a big auction draft guys back in upstate new york and he said i don't care what else happens in this draft but we are getting tyrod taylor on our t. Oh i love that. Kind of data -cation alumni da. Is he a lot. he's not but he is the biggest tyrod taylor fan and another day. We ever talked about sammy. Watkins i'll tell you my dad's great. Start sammy watkins. Quintessential dad moment winners win win. Three who who is the wide receiver one for the eagles. That'd be a good question. I mean i think target share wise. It's going to be defined as smith I think you could make a case that jalen rigor outperforms him in. Maybe a couple of games but target was it's definitely going to be devoted. Smith i gotta bring it back with someone. I thought about bringing it back with dallas. Got her. I don't know if i want to have to two tight ends on the squad so i'm gonna go with the rookie. He has experience playing in this building on the turf. Devante smith forty five hundred of creates some separation kramer by model Sees lots of value here with the projected nine point seven targets. You could do worse And i liked the devante. Smith play i. I would also throw out quiz watkins if you're playing in. Gp he's only three thousand dollars. We saw the boom of potentially quiz watkins has Hurts has gone out of his way to say. He likes thrown into the guy quiz. Watkins i think on rookies together right Yeah quiz walk ins. I'm i'm pennsylvanian for six targets. They're going to get him at least one or two. These guy devante smith that they're going to set up for run after the catch so he's going to get some guaranteed looks at least one deep shot quiz watkins. If that hits that's how you that's that's the kind of place you get a million dollars so and also you could. You could talk me into quiz. Watkins being the number one target in philly For this game so if you got hurt sixty four hundred and quiz watkins at three thousand. That's decent stack in a dome environment. And only ninety four hundred leaves you tons of tons of salary to do a bunch chalk gear to get Some of the bigger names. In and who knows i think hurts actually could be fairly jockey From the early ownership stuff and just remember. Watkins really didn't have a full rookie season. So he's kind of in his rookie year right now. This could be a big breakout for him because he did in that infamous week seventeen game. He didn't play fifty four percent of the snaps so there is plenty of. Nfl level film about quiz watkins for for a man who spent the first half of the season enact as yeah he It seems like the starting through receivers are going to be divine dismiss says on the outside and then reagan the slot. Although we'll see they haven't really announced it. But i think quiz watkins at three thousand is is a guy you want to get involved in. If you're playing gp i. I won't show it up about this guy. He's going up against the bills. But give me pat fryer move only twenty five hundred dollars. I i just like the kid. Give me pat fryer muth. What more do i need to say. Now much child's the bills struggled to contain tight ends time. That's a real nice back. That's a spot where you can find style you and i apologize for made fun of me for saney. Went to notre dame i was. I was delirious. You know when you're when you're driving the content train our after hours subjects you make mistakes. Pat firm though bio counts great camp. I know i'm just kind of writing off eric. Ibran but as adam pointed out the pittsburgh tight ends are buffalo struggles with tight ends not amazing against the coverage a tight ends and i think they're going to have their hands full with the receiver so pat prior moves snags touchdown. I mean that's really all you need a twenty five hundred. Let's get valuable. Fryer snags touchdown. I think i read that i. It was one of those cheap cardboard books from the food. You know you can be forgiven for thinking. Penn state is notre dame you know. They're both midwestern schools well past their prime long shot scandal jason. And really get all this undeserved credit and don't back it up with anything ever just. They're all talk. No gamera hot shit. Meanwhile my hokies beaten top ten teams. Baby let's tie downs notre dame one. They didn't cover. Oh adam listen. Syracuse took it to that crappy midwest ohio so but we're going here. It's been teased since we started this. Podcast it's donald barham at the tight end. Slat thirty one hundred. The fact that everyone still thinks jared cook the tight end to roster the tight end. That's going to step into hunter. Henry's hundred targets per year is insane. Jared cook is looked washed. Donald parham six eight dominant down the same. He's a guy who's going to go up and get the ball. What are you gonna do with them. You're gonna put a linebacker on him who can't run with him but it might have the size to scratch his chin. Maybe can't get up to the ball. You're gonna put a safety on him. Who can run with him. But god's safeties are five ten on a good day. Power doesn't even have to jump to get that ballpark. To go for a touchdown here in week. One as the as the chargers carve-up up washington. He should be.

"pat fryer" Discussed on The Fantasy Footballers - Fantasy Football Podcast

"Actually look pretty darn good the first week but Yes hit areas. Tony tony as mike is often said this off. Season is his champion at the rookie. Wide receiver position right. That's your you drafted him in your dicey league guy. The other day. I went all in on him. I drafted back up into the end of the sick of our rookie drafts to get them. All right i think we can probably hop into the mailbox one layer. I wanna bring up though as tight end for the pittsburgh steelers because two touchdowns deserves a conversation. Pat fryer youth member one rookie tight end this year which jason loves to comically. Say the truth. Is i think both of us had him as the number two behind. Kyle payoffs in like offseason scouting collegiate scouting. He is a very talented tight is a pretty good situation with kind of an unreliable 'nigma of eric ibran in pittsburgh with a nasty drop. Yeah that's source setting. I mean he does want to yet so e brown will still. I mean he had he was four fifty nine six targets but friar m- youth looks like a dynasty target. Yeah no i've been will be gone and that's who i. I hated the landing spot when he was drafted. Because i love fried ruth coming in. And i hated it because right. Now you're behind e brown and then big ben's going to be gone so but keep in mind when he's catching passes from aaron rodgers. That is gonna be incredible next year. You win on my theory. That rogers ends up in pittsburgh. Yeah i based strictly on mike tomlin was asked. What are you gonna like the quarterback position. You know after. Ben is gone. What are you gonna do. And he said. I've got a plan it so i just figured that plan will be trade for aaron rodgers. Plan can't be mason. Rudolph or dwayne has exactly. Yeah that was part of my decision making. I know it's not them. If rogers arrives and it's like afc nfc the they're not gonna trade him inside the nfc. The probably more likely that big ben has a successful season and then comes back again for another year. Cool aaron rodgers theory Probably f- important thing here about this for a long time if it happens. Can we say them. Youth is loose. I think we gotta go with a fryer. Talks friar tuck. I was i was thinking either. Fryer talk or fatherm youth. Oh father music. Yeah we're gonna we're gonna have to other related to the friar. Isn't that what fryer means. Yeah i think so. I don't know someone. We got a google and because you are all friars amongst fraser monks. Aren't they know. It's a large container for frying food. Movie air-freighter youth. i dunno. thank you for doing something in the preseason pat because your name is is just unlimited. What we can do here. Yeah okay what read it to me. Well it looks like i saw. The friar is padre which is father. So i i think this i think it's correct. Okay the only fryer i can think of is the From disney's robin hood was not the disney one. I was thinking of prince of thieves but yes and he had a lot of beer was yeah he was. He was bringing maya sort of beer. Yeah yeah i mean they. They've they've done it before we we know a lot about. We'll works out but we got a long time before an rogers arrived in pittsburgh. That's right one year Before we move on. I do want to throw another name out. Logan thomas has moved up. My draft board Coming into this off season. The signing of curtis samuel bringing adam humphreys seem like mr necessary was going to be unnecessary and he was pretty much destroyed in our rankings. Preseason has really shown like he is out there every single snap and he is running routes a ton. They paid him this year. He is going to be a big part of this offense. And i think i push back a little bio means. No curtis samuel is season fair enough and diana brown awesome. Yeah that being said those those. I think that the wide receiver positions are going to be. Whoever's on the field like curtis samuel gets there. He'll probably get more targets. And whoever's there now diomede brown's great but i think they're going to use the tight end because they have they did last year and they have so far in preseason. He got a Really terrible pass targeted to him in the end zone this past weekend. The question is jason so you moved them up but have you moved him up where you're comfortable with that. He is tight and nine. Eighty p the titan nine and adp. I think you could take your shot around there if you want. If you wanted to tell me that. Got hurt or logan thomas right now i have them back to back with my rankings and i would take it but i see them very similar. Robert n- or lobes onions antanas. Adp her smith. Irv smith or logan. Logan let's do a couple of.
