Simply Bitcoin
A highlight from Gary Gensler Grilled on Spot Bitcoin ETF Approval | EP 834
"Yo, welcome to another episode of Simply Bitcoin Live, our number one source for the peaceful Bitcoin revolution of current breaking news culture, Matic Warfare. We will be your guide through the separation of money and state today. Speaking of the separation of money and state, today's going to be an interesting episode. We have so many clips that, you know, so many Bitcoin news sources were just posting on Twitter of Gary Gensler being completely annihilated yesterday in Congress. A lot of people were just asking them very basic questions. Is Bitcoin a commodity or is it a security? He couldn't give a straight answer to that. Why are you guys delaying a spot Bitcoin ETF? You guys know our take at Simply Bitcoin. We've been covering this diligently for the last couple months or so. We believe at this point, you know, it might be, there's no, you can't say for sure, but it sure does seem like it could potentially be politically motivated. Why? Because we know how the Biden administration feels about the industry. We had Caitlin Long on Simply Bitcoin IRL and she said that her bank, the custodia bank that she's launching in Wyoming, was denied a federal banking charter. She believes that that order came directly from the White House. Also, not to mention all the other reports that came out, for example, the presidential economic report that came out earlier on this year where they made the case as to why central bank is necessary, why CBDCs are necessary, and so that being said, also we were talking to our guest today backstage and he wanted to talk about Bitcoin potentially returning to China, so we added that into the news lineup. That's gonna be an interesting conversation. All in all, I'm super hyped for today's show. Like always, no more delay. Let's bring Brandon on up on stage. How you doing, Brandon? Brandon from Bitcoin magazine. How you doing, bro? Hey man, it's good to see you. I'm doing well. Welcome to the show, but yeah dude, the conversation we were having, you know, before we went on air just fascinated me because that's something that we've been covering for a couple months now, right? This whole thing where, you know, the CCP China is using Hong Kong as, we make the case that they're using as a test bed, right? To, you know, try to incentivize, you know, industry players to come from overseas to set up shop in Hong Kong and there's been even articles that have admitted that they needed the stamp of approval from Beijing in order for that to happen. I think it's just another example of you can't resist Bitcoin's incentives, but you were telling me some things before that I didn't know, which I'm really, really excited to talk about today. So yeah man, welcome to the show. Anyways, I also want to bring up my legendary co -host, always optimistic. He has something different about him today. How you doing, Opti? I am doing wonderful. What's up, guys? How you doing today? Excited for today's show. I do have a new mic in here. That's what Niko is talking about. We're upgrading here. I'm not sure if I dialed in the settings yet, so tell me in the chat whether I need to dial them in more. But man, what's up everyone? We're back! Good to have you, Niko. As I was telling everyone in spaces, you know, I enjoy doing the hosting duties, but I love being the passenger princess and just hanging out and talking Bitcoin with my friends.

Career Relaunch
A highlight from Embracing Change with Anne Tumlinson- CR100
"I could make a big mistake, make a bad decision, and it will affect a lot of people. I can only just do the best that I can. Showing up is everything. Consistency is everything. Welcome to the Career Relaunch Podcast. For the past seven years, we've shared the personal stories of people from around the world who have decided to reinvent their careers. My name is Joseph Liu, and I believe clarity, confidence, and courage allow you to make brave changes that bring you more career fulfillment. In each episode, I feature people who have boldly stepped off the beaten path to relaunch their careers. We talk through the setbacks and successes of their personal journeys to help you understand what it takes to relaunch your own career. Today, for this special 100th episode, the very first guest I ever interviewed for this show is returning to talk about how things have gone for her in her personal and professional life since we first spoke in 2016. Afterwards, during today's Mental Fuel, I'll summarize my top takeaways about managing the dynamics of career change I've learned from all the guests on this show. Ideas of where you could take your career typically emerge in subtle ways. You could read something or hear something or feel something one day that plants a seed in your head about a project, initiative, or path that kind of sparks your interest. Now, in most cases, you may just dismiss the idea and refocus on the things already filling your time like your day job, work projects, or life demands. But in some cases, the idea kind of just hangs around like a shadow and nags you until one day you feel like you just have to address it. And if you don't, it just keeps bugging you or even haunting you until you do. For me, the idea to create this podcast emerged about seven years ago after I started to see that while my clients on the cusp of making a career change do benefit from how -to advice, expert guidance, or prescriptive tutorials, what they really want and often lack is companionship and inspiration to sort of normalize the idea of following an unconventional career path but also to amass the emotional motivation to make a brave change. So in 2016, I decided to record a few conversations with people willing to share their honest perspectives about how they change careers to see if listeners would find something helpful in these stories. Ninety -nine episodes, seven seasons, and nearly half a million downloads across 170 countries later, we've now arrived at the 100th episode of this podcast. And I thought, who better to invite to be our guest today than the very first person I ever interviewed for the show, Ann Tomlinson, who's kindly agreed to join us again to share an update on how things have been going for her since her episode aired in September 2016 when this show first launched. Ann and I first met way back in 2002 in Washington, DC. She was the first manager I had at a consulting firm I joined a couple months after I dropped out of medical school, which was my first experience with changing career paths myself. At the time, I was feeling confused about what to do next, questioning my place in the professional world and experiencing one of the lowest points in my life. As someone who had been set on becoming a doctor, I was actually a bit skeptical about working at a for -profit company, but Ann had a direct role in helping me realize that you could actually do a lot of good in many different sectors when I was in the midst of trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life instead of medicine.

The Living Waters Birth Podcast
First Births Can Be Incredible Too...
"You had this amazing birth experience especially given that it was your first baby which I always try to tell moms just because it's your first baby doesn't mean it has to be hard and terrible. Sometimes it can be a little bit more challenging but first births can be incredible too. I would love to know how you prepared. How did you choose what kind of a birth experience you wanted? When you found out you were pregnant did you always know that you wanted an unmedicated birth? How did that all come to be? I I wish had known any of what I know now when I first found out I was pregnant. I truly didn't. It sounds so crazy from where I started and where I came. I truly just had a whole education process through it all. I did not know you could give birth outside of a hospital. I did not know there was such a thing as unmedicated and medicated. I didn't know all the things I needed to consider. I think I was 21 when I got pregnant. I just graduated college. We were newly married. I guess it just wasn't something that I learned growing up. We started off. I went to my OBGYN who I had only ever seen once in my entire life. I didn't really know her. It was a very terrible experience. She wouldn't look us in the eyes. She wouldn't talk to us. She threw away our first ultrasound pictures and didn't give them to us. Just very not a human experience that you want to have with someone who is going to deliver your child. Very quickly I was just like we left and I cried and I was like there's got to be a different way. From there I set out. I had seen a friend post something and I was kind of following along her birth journey. She hadn't given birth yet but I was following along her whole pregnancy journey and she started talking about home births and going to a chiropractor and a midwife and all these different things. I just started messaging her and I was like what are you doing? I just need to know what's going on because you look like you're having a great time. Through her I found the account Pain Free Birth which I know that you know about too. That just changed my whole perception of everything. I grew up more of a Church of Christ background. We just interpret Genesis not the same way that a lot of other denominations interpret it. It's very literal and you will be in pain forever. All these things. It really took just finding that account and talking to this girl and really breaking down all of that and being like okay that's not what this means. If we go back and actually really look at what is being said here. We are not cursed. We are made perfect and whole. It is not meant to be an awful experience. That was just a huge perception shift for me. Taking that forward I took the Pain Free Birth courses. Really loved those. That just really helped get me educated and I was like okay I have to find a different provider because we cannot do an OBGYN. I would have loved to do a home birth which sounds silly. Spoiler alert I did do a home birth. I originally chose a birthing center up here in the Woodlands which I absolutely adore. From the moment we walked in I knew it was where we wanted to give birth because it had very coffee shop vibes. Was it the Addis? Yes. I love them so much. I assisted a mom there a couple months ago now. It is just like you walk in that birth center and you are like it is so beautiful. It is gorgeous. From the moment we stepped in there I was like this is where I am giving

I'm Carol Masler along with my co -host, Tim Stanavic. It's Monday, September 25th. We're almost done. Happy Monday, Carol. Oh, my God. It's gray and it's raining again. Did you say almost done with the month? Almost done with this period of rain. Oh, okay. I didn't know what you were going to ask. All of the above. Interesting day, folks, because we are seeing stocks edge up a little bit, bonds sinking though, as traders continue to speculate that central banks are going to keep interest rates elevated to quell inflation. I mean, that is our backdrop. Thank you. Based on all the central bank policy last weekend and indeed, certainly what happened from the FOMC. The dollar also hitting its highest level since March. This is investors sought safety. Markets are front and center. Carol, sick number six percent on a 10 year. We were like a couple months ago, Katie Kaminsky told us that and we're like, wait, can you please repeat that? Did we get that right? Six percent? That's looking like it's not that crazy anymore. Maybe doable. She's going to be back.

The Bitboy Crypto Podcast
A highlight from Interest Rate Hikes FINISHED?! (Crypto War NOT Over)
"Welcome to Discover Crypto! It is September 20th. It's 11 .30am. How are we all doing? We got Drew and AJ on the ones and twos today, folks. We're going to talk about the Fed. We're going to talk about what are they going to be saying with the interest rate hikes. And also we're going to be talking about Bitcoin and other cryptos. AJ, how are you doing today? I'm doing great, man. Another day in the life. Let's get it. Drew, how are you doing? Oh, just great. You know, can't complain. Well, you can. You can. You complain when you get home. You'd like, you know, just really vent to your two -year -old. Yeah, that's where I do it. Deezy, did you see the tweet that went out yesterday about the show I'm doing with from George from Cryptos R Us? What? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, he's with Blockchain Boy and Neutron. Joshua Jay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. So we're all like, it's for crew, like, plus, you know, and basically we're all doing something different. I believe, like, Josh is doing like a news kind of show and Blockchain Boys. I'm not really sure what Blockchain Boys doing, but I know the videos are going to start coming out here pretty soon. We're still like brainstorming my concept, but I have a really good, like, rough idea of what I'm doing. But it's going to be really interesting to see how, like, where this goes. And I'm just fun to excited to do something different, you know? And I'm excited. We got Frankie Candles doing the charts today. I see Frankie getting ready in his neon square. He's in his, like, little neon area. I don't know if, oh, he can hear me. He's showing some recognition and anticipation of what Deezy is going to say next. Yeah, we saw the Donald Trump Jr. tweets. It looks like he got hacked. Also, Rob, you're popping it. Hey, we're going to see you back. Can't wait till you come back. All right, let's just get right into crypto. Marc Kepson's Drew is done. Am I too tall? Am I too tall? Too tall for the camera? Look, I got to stand. I got to do these shows a lot, you know? I take the shoes off. So I shrink, you know? They come in. I'm like 6 '11", and I take the shoes off. Then I drop back down to 6 '3". I got the Tom Cruise lifts. All right, Bitcoin is falling a little bit, folks. We were in the green this morning when I first woke up. Now we are down 0 .6%, and Ethereum is down 1 .3%. But XRP looks pretty good. XRP is up. It is up 0 .8 % on the day so far. Meanwhile, Cardano, I woke up this morning. It was up, but now it's down. It is down 0 .7%. Dogecoin down 1 .3%. TonCoin finally cooling off a little bit for the week here. It is down 1 .2%. Litecoin has taken a little bit of a beating, folks. Litecoin is down 5%. We talked about Litecoin a little bit yesterday on ATB. I highly recommend you check that out after this stream. All right, let's look at the top gainers. Then we're going to look at the top losers. You know, I have a streak of keeping my coins in the losers, but not today, folks. I'm feeling good. In fact, maybe I'll have a coin in the top 10. Who knows? All right, here we have Caspa leading the way. Caspa is just on fire, folks. The people who bought Caspa at $0 .01, $0 .02, looking good. Just put in a higher high too. You got past that last one, yep. All right, we are now above a nickel, and it looks like maybe price discovery mode for a Caspa. XDC is up 4 .3%. Maker is up. Radix is up. Aave is up. I have a coin in the ties. A little Solana. I think maybe I have some Arbitrum. Maybe. I'm not even sure I have to check. Then we have, you know, XRP is up 0 .8%. We got gold. Gold's moving to the upside. The graph moving to the upside, even though Bitcoin and ETH are down. Okay, so it's not all blood in the streets, but hopefully, it's not going to be blood in Deasy's wallet, guys. And again, I promise you, I do not check this ahead of time. I kind of like being surprised. I like discovering it with you. So let's discover cryptos, Deasy's coins in here. I'm looking good today. All right, I don't know how long the streak has been continuing. I don't know when's the last. I think I last held Litecoin in 2021. Never had Thor, Phrax, eCash, or I know Frankie likes to trade Adam. I like to trade Eve. So maybe we'll talk to him about the Adam is falling 4 % here. Litecoin down 5%. Thor chained down 5%. Any of these coins, you know, peak it. Well, if you go at it, I do have two in the top 10. I got two in the top 10. Just, you know, just to make it feel good. But any of these screaming at you here? Yeah, Thor, Litecoin, Phrax. Not surprised really to see. I mean, everything kind of came up yesterday. I'm still kind of sticking to the theory that the pump we're seeing could possibly be a bull trap. I think, you know, when we get into the FOMC news, the pauses that is likely coming is going to be bullish for the sentiment. I'm just still like kind of macro worried based off of the stock market sharks. Actually, the Algorand, you know, down 2 .8%. That one's kind of obviously yelling at me a little bit. I have a theory coming up, but I'm not going to say it right now. But I'm making a video about it, about Algorand. So stay tuned for that. OK, so you're going to create more? I'm going to create more. I create more crypto content every day and some of it's about Algorand. But I like how it's a period. Create more. No exclamation point. Just create. It's more like create more. Oh, OK. Great. More. Great. Great. Yeah. All right. Well, we're going to create some stories here about the feds. What are they doing? I don't know if we've ever had an article from this news organization. ABC. Shout out to Mickey Mouse and the Disney crew here. Fed to decide on a rate hike. Testing optimism about a soft landing as inflation rises again. Upon announcing the Fed Reserve's latest rate hike decision in July, Jerome Powell spoke out a lectern in Washington, DC for a half hour before he dropped a bombshell. The Central Bank staff has abandoned its forecast of a recession. Staff at the Fed, in other words, now expect the Central Bank to achieve a soft landing, an outcome in which the US brings down inflation while avoiding a downturn. Inflation has ticked up for two consecutive months, reversing some of the progress made in the effort to bring price increases down to normal levels. Meanwhile, oil prices have soared, threatening to push inflation even higher. Well, they got like moving ads. Whoa, whoa, what's going on here? Calm down, ABC. Economists surveyed by Bloomberg expect the Fed to leave its benchmark interest rate unchanged, affording policymakers time to weigh their next move as a rapid series of previous rate hikes take full effect. I was looking at Caleb Franzen's tweets. We're at 99 % on the prediction market unchanged today, right? Have you been looking at the, when is the next one? Is it November? I can pull the calendar. I'm pretty sure it's the end of October. I think it's like maybe on Halloween. Let me double check. Oh, on Halloween is going to be spooky. Okay, Drew, are you going to give out candy this Halloween? Absolutely. You know, but actually I'll be doing candied apples. Okay, I'm going to be giving out pamphlets on inflation to children. Yeah, you know, you could have got Reese's pieces, but blame Jerome Powell. You can take advantage of the time and the season to teach your children about tax. Tax them. Like attacking kids for their pillowcases of candy? Taxing them heavily. Yeah, take 33 % of every Snickers bar they get. That's right. Yeah, that's just the way it is. Why wait? Welcome to America, you know? And yeah, the next FOMC is October 31st, November 1st, so. Okay, okay. October 31st. All right, all right. Halloween, what's Jerome Powell going to dress up as? Alex from A Clockwork Orange. Pat, do you want us to dress up on the channel? I might be willing to dress up in a costume. I might be willing. You know, every - I could break out the green spandex, go old school. You know, every Halloween, AJ disappears and a Mr. Meeseeks just shows up. Okay, I heard existence is pain though. Existence is pain. We're not fumbling around for meaning here, Deezy. All right. Well, I'm fumbling around for this rate of inflation. It eases slightly 6 .7 % despite the oil prices surging. You know, like we said, I think the oil is going to be a leading indicator, so inflation will trickle down from the oil prices. If you want to think about it, it's going to cost more money to get those bananas to drive from point A to point B because they're going to have to spend more in the gas tank. This is going to be - It's just give it a while, let it roll out to the rest of the economy. Namely, food. Oil prices really, really like to impact food prices a couple months down the line. Well, we're looking at the ONS as the Office for National Statistics, and they said the consumer price index measure slowed in the 12 months to August from the 6 .8 figure reported the previous month thanks to food rising at a weaker pace during the month compared to August 22. During the X minute, I have a tweet about Canadian food prices, and I just kind of look at where they've gone over the past 20 years. It is shocking. It is shocking. I used Bard. I was like, this doesn't feel right for the price. I went to a Canadian grocery store, and I went low. I went low. There's expensive eggs and cheap eggs. I typed in the cheap egg price. It was still very scary. All right, well, we have predictions. Jerome Powell's got his ideas. You notice I was thinking about this BlackRock. What is BlackRock thinking about all this? BlackRock and others predict the Fed's next move. What does it mean for Bitcoin though? According to Marilyn Watson, is a BlackRock's head of global fundamental income strategy. The central bank's federal funds target rate will remain roughly the same until the end of the year going through its September, November, and December meetings. For the record, I think the economic data has consistently surprised to the upside, she said. That includes GDP, the unemployment rate, and the labor market. Beware, beware of recession. The analyst has previously argued that Bitcoin's price is macroeconomic determined by conditions, including its four -year cycles, which I am still a firm believer in for this cycle. Might be less of an effect of the previous one, but I'm still a believer in the four -year cycle, going to push Bitcoin to the new high. I do think we'll set in a new all -time high. I don't think we're going to hit a quarter million dollars in two years, but I think we're going to flirt with $100K, which they do not believe are related to the Bitcoin halving. So they're saying the four -year cycle is not related. I don't know what they're saying here. Risk assets go lower in recessions. So I'd expect Bitcoin would not perform well in that environment. It has not seen a real recession in its existence. It was birthed out of a recession, but yeah, hasn't really gone through one from the beginning stages to the end there. Yeah, there's never been a Bitcoin bull run during a phase of quantitative tightening. We've always been quantitatively easing the money supply anytime Bitcoin goes up into the right. And that obviously is what it takes. I think they're kind of leaning into if we're in a recession, and that lines up with the four -year cycle. But just so far, we're three for three with the having idea playing out. And the trend hasn't broken yet, so that's why I always say sticking to November 25 as a benchmark, but that's just a benchmark. It could be behind that. It could be in front of that. We don't have a crystal ball, but we can go off the pattern that we've seen before. All right. Well, speaking of quantitative tightening, we also have calfskin tightening, the tightest calfskin in the entire world. I don't care if you have a baby cow jacket for an extra small on an 800 -pound man, there is no tighter calfskin than the man I'm looking at right now. That is Frankie Candles. Frankie Candles, welcome back. How's it doing? Does it feel good? It feels good. The calfskin is tight, and so is Bitcoin's price action. But yeah, I don't want to waste time here. Let's go ahead and jump right into the charts here. Now, here we are. Now, obviously, I talk about this all the time. I don't typically trade on newsdays like this. It is usually a complete washing machine. Usually the shorts get wrecked, then the longs get wrecked, or the longs get wrecked, and then the shorts get wrecked. So I don't typically trade. Now, I am in a few trades right now. I am in this Bitcoin long right now. I have profits locked in on this trade and my stop loss is at my entry. So kind of how I am playing this today is I'm going to be holding my long. I am long from about $25 ,000 to $50 ,000 just below this range. And again, I have taken profits on that stop loss at break even. And then I am also in a short position from somewhere up here. I am slightly in profit on the short position. So I am long up and now I am in this small short position that is in slight profit. However, this is kind of how I'm playing this today, DZ. Because basically, like I said, I never recommend people trade on these newsdays just because of the complete unpredictable volatility that you're likely to see. Now, the last FOMC meeting, I believe, was on the 25th, 26th of July. I believe someone could correct me if I'm wrong on that. But we actually have seen a few FOMC meetings where we didn't really have too much happen. And I've been telling people that we are likely in that kind of boring accumulation phase of the bear market. A lot of times, if you go back to at least the 2017 or 2018, 2019 bear market, we had that bear market rally. And once we topped off at that point, we kind of just bled out. And for the most part, if you kind of just ignore this panic wick from March of 2020, which was obviously a Black Swan event, we kind of just wiggled sideways. We got that big bear market rally, we topped off, bled out a little bit, and then we just kind of went sideways again with the exception of that panic wick. And I do think we are in somewhat of a similar situation here where the rest of this bear market may not be the most exciting thing ever. But for today, basically how I'm handling this, DZ, is I'm going to be kind of...

The Spiritual EFT Tapping Podcast
A highlight from 104. Acceptance EFT Tapping Meditation + Talk
"Hi, I'm Nicole and I'm an EFT tapping practitioner and I want to help you learn how to use EFT tapping to grow as a person, to grow on your spiritual path, and to truly change your life in any way that you are looking to change your life. Because I believe that we deserve to have the life that we are meant to live. Thank you so much for joining me today. Let's get into the podcast. Welcome to the spiritual EFT tapping podcast. This podcast I'm actually going to have tapping. I haven't had that in a couple of episodes and this is actually a brand new tapping that I think you're really going to like and it is all about acceptance. That is the title of this week and I think I found that acceptance is such a big part of like processing a situation and it's something that I think I have a really hard time with. For example, you know, if something comes up that I wasn't expecting or I didn't want to happen necessarily or like an outcome that I wasn't looking for, maybe I was looking for a different outcome. I think sometimes like the hardest part for me is actually accepting that like, okay, this isn't happening the way that I wanted it to happen. And after I kind of get over that hump that it's fine, but it seems like in the past couple months just situations that have come up. It's like that hump is almost longer than just getting it's longer than kind of how I feel when I get to that other side of it where it's just like, oh, this really kind of like sucks that it didn't work out and because it's almost like just accepting that it didn't work out. It's just for whatever reason that takes longer and I think sometimes it is because there is a little bit of hope that I'm holding on to that like, okay, maybe this isn't, you know, what's going to happen or whatever it may be and I think sometimes it has nothing to do with that. Sometimes it's just literally because it's like, well, I just don't want this outcome. Like I don't want this to be what's happening and yeah, I think all of that's really hard. So if you're struggling with acceptance in any way or just as a thing kind of like struggle with acceptance, then this tapping is going to be really helpful to you. And I don't want to talk too long about it because I just feel like, you know, it just meant for you to listen and to just, you know, take in and hopefully it helps you in your situation and what it is you're going through and just helps you get closer to that acceptance and something I really hammer in in this tapping particularly is that it also like you're not supposed to just do this tapping and then magically like accept everything that you don't want to happen after this tapping. I really hammer in that it's it can be like a longer process and it's so important to be gentle with yourself and just I mean, even if you need a long period of time of like, okay, I know that I haven't fully accepted this and but you know, maybe every day I get like a tiny bit closer and really just knowing that that's okay, like that's all you can really do and then by almost getting a tiny bit closer to acceptance, you're kind of, you know, even closer to just kind of getting over that hump of that situation. And yeah, I mean sometimes it's really all you can do. So I really hope this helps you today. And if you like what you heard, I would love you to leave a five -star review on this podcast. It really helps get it out to more people and you can also check way more of my content on Insight Timer, which is kind of like where I live and where my content lives. I have so many toppings over there and I also have a lot of courses. So I also do sometimes live toppings. So check that space out. You can see that in the show notes and if you ever want to reach out, I'm on Instagram at nicole .4 .reel and I'm on email at hello at nicole4real .com. But most people just find me on Instagram. So yeah. Anyway, I hope you have a great day today and I hope you enjoyed this topping and I will see you in the next episode.

Telecom Reseller
A highlight from Robotext surge can undermine your organization, but can be stopped, iconectiv Podcast.
"This is Doug Green and I'm the publisher of Telecom Reseller and I'm very pleased to have with us today Chris Drake, who's the Senior Vice President of Corporate and Business Development at iConnective. Chris, thank you for joining me today. Thank you, Doug. Thank you for covering this topic. Well yeah, I'm awfully glad we're going to be able to get some additional news and perspective on this important topic. We have been talking about the surge in robo -texting, what's happening and how this is really impacting the ability of corporations, organizations, government, all sorts of entities to communicate, including even very small companies and so on. We're also going to be talking very importantly about what iConnective is doing and some ideas on mitigation. So, you know, before we jump into that, could you just tell me a little bit about iConnective? Certainly. iConnective is a technology company. We are involved in data as a service. We provide information around numbering intelligence, what numbers are high risk if they're trying to reach you, what numbers would be high risk if you are a telephone operator and your customer tries to call them. They might be set up with a surprise premium message that costs $9 .99 a minute and not find out until a couple months later. This is actually a thing. So, we provide things like that and then other services that relate to data tuned to digital identity in various forms. We make, we provide solutions that enable legitimate companies to be verified, to have an identity, to do that, know your customer, vetting and allow them to engage the consumer base at large and be known that they're legitimate and who they are and maybe perhaps, depending on the technology, even why are they trying to reach that audience. And then the users can make informed decisions whether to accept the call or engage the techs, which is just fraudulent. If not spam and nuisance calls, then actually scams trying to steal identity and money from the general public. We offer the short code numbers, which is another form of identity for businesses that want to engage over text messaging. This is a special type of text message channel which uses a five or six digit number instead of a full number, full telephone number. This is supported by a set of technology companies that ensure it's secure and ensure that the users are well behaved and ensure that they are properly verified as legitimate companies when they join the ecosystem. So, much more secure, I have to tell your audience, than a 10 digit number sending you text messages, which could easily be a spam or scam, not so much on the short code. Let's go back out into that wild world and, you know, we hear a lot of numbers. Give me an understanding of how big a problem is, like how many robo texts happen out there a year.

A highlight from These Altcoins Are In Big Trouble! (Major Token Unlocks) | *How To Profit*
"We're talking about token unlocks today very misunderstood in crypto people hear the word token unlock and they start to seize up They get all nervous tense. They think prices are going to dump but in today's video I want to explain the upcoming token unlocks that we actually have hitting the market and I want to take an analytical look a deep dive into how this could actually affect the market because I have gone through the data and Have a pretty concrete idea of how different unlocks actually end up affecting price And of course, it's going to create so many trading opportunities for you on the long side on the short side But also if you're a long -term accumulator of tokens, you know with you know, pretty steep vesting schedules this can present huge opportunities So I think it's gonna be a pretty valuable show and if you do enjoy more educational style content like this Make sure to smash the thumbs up button So I'm gonna use this week to contextualize the current state of unlocks in the market over the course of this week We have six major unlocks comprising around 80 million dollars worth of Capital that is coming onto the market ape with 11 % of their supply is the main one You've got Lido at point 2 % of their supply as a secondary one You've got Aptos as well with 2 % sweat tokens flow talk with tokens and EUL all hitting the market now There's an amazing website that I think you should be using basically every single week to keep on top of the token unlocks and it's called token app unlocks so token unlocks dot they're not sponsoring the show It's just an application that I personally use to stay on top of the unlocks And what it shows you is the unlocks as you can see in the right There's a corresponding column which shows you the date that an unlock takes place It shows you all the unlocks in the market the percentage of their supply that is dumping and where the supply is coming from Super valuable information now We're hitting a very critical inflection point when it comes to crypto unlocks because many of the tokens in the market are now Starting to mature and we typically know that when projects structure their token omics They tend to skew the more steep part of their cliffs for the mid one to two year period Of the project or the tokens existence So what we're seeing now with a lot of projects that were launching in 2020 2021 When the bull market vibes are on and there was lots of funding coming into the market a lot of those projects And now starting to hit their mid supply curve. For example, you've got dy dx with significant unlocks You've got eight coin with significant unlocks optimism with significant unlocks all these claims that are unlocking significant percentages of their supplies Tend to launch in that 2020 to 2021 period and because that was the bull market you have a lot of tokens during that period That were laying out their vesting schedules and this of course has huge ramifications for the prices of these tokens And as I said starts to create trading opportunities off the back of that So how do token unlocks actually affect price in the market? Is it an instant death sentence for a token that causes a huge dump or is there this kind of phenomenon called a bullish unlock? Which ends up meaning an unlock is fully priced into the market Well, there's data that when I looked into this actually was pretty unexpected to me That kind of gives you a good scope of what actually happens when there's a token unlock So I'm gonna read through the research here large crypto token unlocks drive price lower within two weeks research suggests So let's talk about this right now new research by analytics firm The Thai shows coins on average and they've looked through all the major unlock coins over the last few years Declined in the lead -up to the event of the actual unlock However, when the liquidity freed up represented more than 100 % of the average daily volume Prices quickly recovered only to fall deeper within two weeks following the unlock and we're going to get into this with real examples in a second So what they're saying here is that when the amount of liquidity? exceeds the amount of the average daily trading volume that you can get simply by going on coin gecko for example if we want to Work out the trading volume of ape we search up a coin and we can see here The daily trading volume is 63 million if the unlock for ape actually exceeds this amount of 63 million then they affirm that prices quickly recover But then they fall deeper within two weeks following the unlock and this firm has gone through 350 ,000 individual token on the unlocks to come up with this data Let's look at this graph and talk about what it means because I believe it's one of the biggest pieces of alpha I've found in the market honestly in the last week because unlocks are everywhere every token you're likely buying or selling has an unlock This is how crypto tokens fund themselves. They unlock onto the market They sell this enables them to generate liquidity for their treasury this enables them to to incentivize advisors market makers Etc without dumping their price by launching all at once now There are some tokens like uni what for example which have executed fair launches Which means well basically they launch all at once and then they're 100 % of their tokens are in supply This can work but for projects that are trying to bring on investors. It obviously doesn't make sense So most of the bigger projects in the market with big VC backing do have unlocks because this is how VCs are able to Recoup their initial investment without hurting the token price too much in the short term But as you'll see in a second it actually ends up hurting the price in the long term in cases where the unlock Represented more than 100 % of average daily volume as we just asserted prices tend to rebound faster But only for a brief period this could be attributed to traders feeling relieved that the unlock did not flood the market with new tokens Immediately within Nonetheless two weeks prices of tokens facing such significant unlocks fell below their initial levels at the time of the unlock this may suggest that holders preferred to wait a few days before selling into the market this essentially Debunks the bullish unlock theory. So there's this theory floating around in the market that token unlocks are bullish And yes in a bull market when liquidity is running rampant and people are you know? Ramping onto crypto and speculating into coins and money's flowing in Oftentimes unlocks are bullish because the market in general is bullish, right? But in neutral periods and bearish periods and just on average across all periods which should you know Get rid of those extremities on the highs and the extremities on the lows It does tend to negatively impact price and this is a major misconception in the market that has been like statistically debunked now Through this report that tokens actually perform worse out of unlocks I mean who would have thought right but this is what happens if this is the math that we see here So this graph which I think is just pure alpha shows the unlocks by size shows the average normalized price of a token Let's say like a dollar and ten cents and shows based on the volume Representative of the token versus the unlock size how it performs and we can see what we saw from large Tokens which are tokens where the unlock outweighs their trading volume So it's bigger than their trading volume these large tokens tend to bounce So this zero period is the amount of days post unlock they tend to bounce in price But then two weeks later start to correct and this isn't just one example as I said This is taking three hundred fifty thousand tokens and analyzing it Now the interesting thing is the small section and the aggregate section shows that smaller unlocks So unlocks all like small size that aren't outpacing, you know The average daily trading volume this tends to bottom out on the unlock date and then they tend to recover in the weeks following so What this tells us is the size of the unlock? Dictates the price action of the unlock So if an unlock is really big it tends to bounce a lot quicker because investors start feeling relieved Like think about the psychological component here But then the real weight of the selling pressure starts to impact on the market and then over the next couple weeks You start to see the real impact start to hit whereas with smaller unlocks So unlocks which don't outweigh the average daily volume It tends to actually bottom out just before and on the unlock date But you don't see that huge bounce that huge bullish unlock, you know phenomenon that we see you see a slow Grind up a slow recovery and then sometime after that, you know You may see a decline but 20 days after the event that should give us like a rough scope of how an unlock affects the market Alright, let's go practical now Let's look at some of the major unlocks in the market and let's learn how to actually make money using Token unlock so looking through the market what you should do is you should identify Tokens that you're interested in because unlocks as I said, they create opportunities in the short term They also create opportunities in the long term You can go through the list and work out which tokens you're interested in trading like you've got dy dx here You've got ape you've got optimism If you're interested in stacking these there definitely is opportunities to get in during these windows where you see these massive declines and based on The size of the unlock that is going to dictate when you actually choose to get in So a token that has a bigger unlock for example like an apron optimism You may choose to wait for a bit of a bleed and then get in get in around the 15 to 20 day mark Whereas with a smaller unlock as you can see, there are some really tiny ones like Lido is pretty small Uni is pretty small these unlocks can basically Rebound are slowly over time post unlock and make the actual unlock date or just before the unlock date where some of the bearishness is Being priced in that can be an opportunity to accumulate So the token unlocks app does an amazing job of actually doing full reports on all coins So I want to give you a bit of alpha here If you go onto the website and you click on the insights tab now some are paid But some are free if you click on the insights tab, you can scroll down and actually view Individual token unlock reports and this is alpha especially if you're interested in Accumulating any of these tokens or trading any of these tokens It gives you like a great summary of what they anticipate is going to happen with price based on previous prices For example on the ape coin unlock here You can see that in March they did a hundred and thirty four point eight million dollar unlock in September They have an equal unlock and then in April through to August. It was a much smaller unlock So when you're analyzing the ape coin Price performance you wouldn't want to compare this week's unlock with an April unlock because it's just so much bigger, right? It makes more sense to compare the September unlock with the March unlock So what you can do is you can scroll down and you can see well if we go back to March How did price actually react to the unlock? Well, it had a small pump in and then it bled then it had a rally and then it bled again So you can start to look at what the previous unlocks of similar size actually did in the market And the ape coin unlocks do line up with this phenomenon that we're seeing from the token research here You can see we get pumps into the unlock then it bleeds And then we see that rally into the next unlock and this happened basically every unlock We saw the pump then it bleeds and then it pumps again. So we know what the phenomenon is Assuming that the unlock was big which I know it was for ape versus its trading volume We know that they they actually pump into the unlock and then their big dump happens over the next couple months We can see this exhibited multiple times on the ape coin chart here. So that's why this token unlock section is so powerful So if you do want to trade like any old coin, of course and take advantage of the strategy I want to give you a reminder that if you're looking for a Dex look no further than G trade a Decentralized permissionless protocol that allows you to trade and they also have a function one -click trading So literally trade with one click on a variety of trading pairs. So all coins Bitcoin Ethereum commodities They Forex have as well So if you want to trade anything on a Dex and of course keep self custody of your own assets Which is so important in crypto and still get the benefit of being able to use leverage and set a stop -loss and take profit Of course and set limit orders short long, whatever you want to do. Um, you can do so on G trade across polygon or arbitrum There's a link in the description to check it out thought I would mention that because yeah A lot of these tokens that I'm discussing today's video They are available on Dex's like G trade to actually trade if you're taking more of the short -term angle now I want to take more of the long -term angle and look at how can you take advantage of unlocks if you're bullish on a token? So let's say you you scroll through the list. You're bullish on Optimism you're bullish on sui and you want to accumulate long -term. How can you use these events to position yourself? Long -term and get better entry opportunities for your long -term portfolio So for investors typically the weeks following a big unlock are a great place to buy the tokens if you're bullish on the long -term prospects of the token Especially if you do see that phenomenon where it sells for two to three weeks after the unlock Especially in a bearish environment like this all coins a lot of them versus their PTC pairs are bleeding Bitcoin is a little bit shaky. The market is relatively apathetic So these unlocks are starting to affect the market more in these conditions So the effects of unlocks are always based on the market conditions in which the unlocks take place and in this market You will see some of these sell -offs that we've been discussing be slightly more severe And because of this these can give you great buying opportunities So I recommend scroll through the list look at if there's a token with a big unlock and start to just pinpoint the dates on Your trading view so you can literally go on to trading view. Let's say, you know, we want to Set a date for optimism. What you can do is click on your trading list You can search up optimism and you can start putting in these Vertical lines which indicate when the next major unlock is happening So if we go on to token unlocks we scroll down We see optimism has a major unlock in 17 days on the 30th of September We can map out the 30th of September on our chart by using one of these vertical lines as we can see here Okay we put it in on the 30th and now we have a red line which shows us when the unlock happens and What you can do is you can kind of track where the price starts to falter In the two to three week period following this unlock that would then be potentially a decent zone for you to buy if you can map confluence with your Horizontal levels and you can do this for any altcoin so if you do see let's say the token price do what happens with these big unlocks typically and Pump afterwards and then start to bleed then you can look to accumulate in this period here if you get good Horizontal confluence so that is one strategy that you can use faults that is more from an investor standpoint If you want to short you can definitely take advantage of shorting these pumps if they happen post unlock and you can also map that Out with your confluence So let's say it pumps into this area and you're seeing like a major resistance in this zone and then it starts to come under You get a bearish underside retest and then it starts to roll over Well, this could be your short entry on the retest to get in such as one example Like very basic of how you can use this but token unlocks from an investor and a trader standpoint Are very very valuable and what you can also do alongside just basic ta is actually use momentum indicators So let's use the optimism example again You can go onto an application like Kyber AI which is like your ultimate AI on chain trading platform Click on optimism and see what the momentum is like for the coin at that time If you start to see after two weeks the token pump and then start to roll over a little bit and you're looking for let's You can look at the Kyber score and see if the bullish momentum of that token is starting to tick into the bearish territory So you might see the last like for Kyber scores coming bullish and then you might see the momentum starting to tick bearish Using their on chain analysis function when that starts to happen Which is likely indicative of cells outpacing buys on chain The on chain indicators can tell you first before the centralized exchanges catch up whether that altcoin is starting to get bearish Momentum and that can be a great peak data point for consulates to get into a short setup and Similarly after an unlock takes place if you want to buy optimism long term But you want to be a bit more picky with your entry then you can do the same thing You look for bearish momentum tick into bullish momentum like it's exhibiting right now And if that maps up with our net buyers starting to position themselves on chain Then that can give you an indicator alongside an uptick in trading volume that you should be getting in So always look for momentum shifts in crypto and this can help you get better entries So if you don't want to use Kyber AI for any of that, there's a link in the description We have an early access pass for people that want to use that link. You do need to get approved. I'm sorry It's not instant approval But I promise you it's worth the wait because it's been an amazing application and I want to thank them for partnering with the show Because yeah, it's an application that I regularly use in my trading But I thought I'd just mention it in the context of this video Because it's super relevant for using an application like this to help you get entries. So pretty much with unlocks there there is like a lot of nuance, but what you need to know is Have your finger on the pulse in terms of tracking them Make sure to utilize the reports at your disposal through an application like token unlocks. There are free ones There are paid ones if you don't want to pay that's completely fine Like they're not a sponsor of the show or anything You can kind of use this framework for mapping volume versus the size of the unlock and if it fits within this Of course, it's not going to happen like this every time but on aggregate if you trade, you know Based on this assumption then on average you'll probably end up ahead given the fact there's a sample size here of three hundred and fifty thousand Given, you know, they've done extensive research. So obviously sometimes there are outliers Sometimes the project might announce news before an unlock to pump the price Sometimes the market will just react differently due to like a switch in market conditions But generally if you follow the blueprint you will come out ahead in the long term Market conditions do play a huge factor in a bullish market unlocks are like always the best buying Opportunities in a bear market unlocks are often the best shorting opportunities because you have to consider the weight that some of these unlocks can have on the market when the buyers are apathetic because when buyers don't want to step in and protect price and you have additional supply dumping in a bear market that is a Recipe for disaster a lot of the time but in a bull market that's often a recipe for buying the dip So you probably want to take the short side more than the long side in a bear market And you want to take the long side more than the short side in a bull market So important to wrap your head around that concept Bitcoin actually has quite a bit of overhang. I'm speaking about Bitcoin for a second They've got the US government Silk Road Bitcoin. They've got the Mt. Gox Bitcoin or they've got the FTX Bitcoin as well Which is going to be start to be liquidated soon So there is a fair bit of supply overhang in general if we could continue to see bearish market conditions And we do get some of these like unlocked overhangs, you know Just supply increases hitting the market then that could be a reason that Bitcoin starts to correct but given the fact we're heading into 2024 when we've got like major catalysts like the Bitcoin spot ETF You know the ETH ETF the Bitcoin halving potential rate cut rate cuts on the horizon those all can be opportunities To take advantage of the unlocks in the meantime So when you know the destination it becomes easy to play the game in the short to medium term If you're a long -term investor, so just thought I would add that as well in the context of Bitcoin, too So yeah, maybe we went with a bearish tile today Figured out what my thumbnail is but if it is just know it can be bearish on but it also can be bullish and hopefully this video can act as a bit of a framework for you to be able to contextualize and then apply or token unlock trading to your own trading stuff, hopefully this video helps if it did smash the thumbs up button and subscribers in order to subscribe and of course We have a link to games if you want to trade in a decentralized manner in the description and a link to Kyber If you want to sign up to execute the AI strategy that I discussed on today's show I will see you later.

The Bitboy Crypto Podcast
A highlight from PayPal Launches Stablecoin That Could Change The World! (But There's A Catch...)
"The safest, easiest way to pay just got easier or at least has moved further into the cryptoverse. Online payment behemoth PayPal has launched its own stablecoin, becoming the latest TradFi company to make the attempt. You may remember Meta, the parent company of Facebook, trying to shove their own stablecoin down our throats and subsequently shuttering the project in early 2022. Will PayPal USD, aka PYUSD, succeed where others have failed? We're going to dive into the pros and cons. It's time to discover crypto. If you're new to the cryptoverse, you may be wondering what exactly is a stablecoin. It's a coin for horses. I'm kidding. It's all in the name, baby. A stablecoin is meant to do exactly that, maintain a stable price. Many of them are pegged to the US dollar. It's a way for investors and traders to keep their assets on the blockchain without having to deal with extreme price volatility. Well, at least that's what's supposed to happen with stables as long as they maintain their peg. If you want an example of what happens when a stablecoin loses its peg, take a look at our video on Terra UST. In case you've been living under a rock with all your cash buried in some dragon's lair, PayPal has a veritable monopoly on online payments. Founded in 1998, the company went public in 2002 and was soon taken over by eBay. Fast forward to today, the company has expanded astronomically and subsequently gobbled up would -be competitors like Venmo, Zoom and Zettle and many others. It also boasts 435 million users at time of recording. The original team is actually referred to as the PayPal Mafia. You'll recognize some familiar faces including Elon Musk, Yammer's David O. Sachs, LinkedIn's Reid Hoffman and Jawad Karim, who co -founded our own little slice of paradise, YouTube. So my question is, with Elon Musk's historic ties to PayPal, will the PayPal stablecoin become the favored cryptocurrency for X? Unseeding would -be Prince of X, doge? Leave a comment below and tell us what you think. PayPal's stablecoin release also comes a couple months after the announcement that Celsius will use it to distribute payments to its creditors, a decision that has sparked outrage and questions from Celsius's creditors. Raking in fees for millions of bankrupt Celsius isn't a great way to start your stablecoin debut. Now, PayPal has been interested in crypto for a while. They first allowed customers to buy, and hold a short list of cryptocurrencies back in 2020, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash. Then in 2022, they finally began supporting crypto withdrawals and deposits in and out of PayPal. And PYUSD is their latest attempt to make a name for themselves in the Web3 landscape. They announced its development at the beginning of 2022, but then pulled back citing regulatory issues. Was it you, Gary? But I guess their concerns are no more because there are full steam ahead with their stablecoin pursuits. Okay, enough about lost funds and heartbreak. Why would PayPal want to get into the stablecoin game in the first place? Well, it turns out stablecoins can be quite a lucrative business worth around $120 billion. PYUSD's top competitors Tether and USDC both have remarkable profits this year. Tether is projected to bring in $6 billion, while Circle, the parent company of USDC, has brought in $779 million so far this year. If PayPal can capture even a percentage of this market, they could bring in some serious bank. How do these companies do it? Well, both USDT and USDC maintain their peg by holding cash and investing in US Treasuries. And the yields of these Treasuries have soared to 5 % recently, so they're able to bring in a lot of profit and able to add to their reserves. PayPal intends to follow a similar model with the stablecoin being backed by USD bank deposits, US Treasuries and US Treasure reverse repurchase agreements held in custody by Paxos. You may recognize the name Paxos for managing the soon -to -be -deceased Binance stablecoin BUSD, which Binance has taken off the market due to SEC lawsuit. RIP. PayPal has announced that Paxos will begin issuing monthly reserve reports in September 2023, and these reports will be verified by an external and supposedly impartial accounting firm. Can we just get Kevin an Oscar? Remember, guys, having a public and verifiable proof of reserve is so important, not only for stablecoins, but also for exchanges. Make sure you do your research before you buy or send your crypto places. PYUSD is an ERC -20 token written in Solidity and running on the Ethereum blockchain. You can exchange PYUSD for fiat as well as send it to other PayPal users and buy crypto on PayPal's platform. You can also buy from PayPal's merchants, and PayPal will send PYUSD to make the purchase. There are zero fees to send this stablecoin to other PayPal users, but there are fees for buying cryptocurrencies and withdrawing PayPal USD from the platform. Currently, you can withdraw or deposit PYUSD and it's compatible with Metamask and Coinbase Wallet, soon to be supported by Venmo. A week after PayPal's stablecoin mania hit the media, Ledger, one of the top cold storage wallet solutions, announced that its users would be able to buy crypto with their PayPal accounts. Coinbase has allowed American and Canadian users to buy crypto with their PayPal accounts for a while, but recently, Coinbase partnered with PayPal to bring this option to users in Germany and the UK. This comes in handy since PayPal decided to pause crypto purchases on its own platform in the UK, citing financial regulatory shifts. With all these exchanges supporting PayPal accounts to purchase crypto, it seems like only a matter of time before Ledger and other wallets begin to support PYUSD as well. Currently, you can get your hands on some PYUSD on Coinbase, Kraken, Gate .io and Crypto .com if you don't want to buy it from the PayPal platform. Right now, we're a little less than a month into their release, so are people actually using it? Well, it seems like members of the crypto community have been a bit wary so far. The block reported that smart money is avoiding the coin and smaller investors are as well. And really, can you blame them? Most people are still traumatized from the Terra fiasco. And why would you switch your funds from Tether or USDC when they've stood the test of time? There have also been concerns about PYUSD launching on ETH and associated high fees. And there are real regulatory concerns here in the US. Congresswoman Maxine Waters, the top Democrat on the House Financial Services Committee, was quick to wag the finger at PayPal and yell, Shame! Shame on you! She's mad at business as giant as PayPal would move forward with a stablecoin without federal regulatory framework. She may want to point that finger right back at herself because the Fed is at fault here twofold. One, they allowed PayPal to get this giant. And two, they can't figure out how to actually regulate the space. Probably due to our officials being older than dinosaurs. Look at this! Are you kidding me? Another issue that has some worried is that PYUSD is centralized and has a sordid history of randomly freezing people's accounts. And last year, the company threatened to fine users up to $2500 to posting misinformation. After immense backlash, PayPal retracted the statement saying it was an error. The terms and conditions of PYUSD also state, PayPal can stop supporting the stablecoin at any time without informing holders. All of this has members of the cryptoverse worrying that PayPal would arbitrarily freeze or deduct PYUSD from their accounts just like the big banks are able to do. Well, don't freeze up yourself. Hit that like button and subscribe to the channel to discover more crypto. PayPal freezing accounts is not good. We want control over our funds and the right to privacy. But just for context, Tether and USDC are centralized as well. Tether is held by an international company, and USDC boasts BlackRock, Fidelity, and Coinbase among their investors. So nothing is totally safe. And while it's great PYUSD has added the trove of stablecoin options, the space really needs more decentralized stablecoins. Okay, so now I want to mention a few reasons PYUSD makes me feel bullish for crypto in general. Anytime a TradFi company gets into crypto signals wider adoption. And PayPal could be going after a completely different retail demographic for PYUSD, which would explain the slow adoption. But the coolest thing about PayPal launching a stablecoin is the ability to pay for things IRL without taking funds off the blockchain. You can already use PYUSD to pay millions of merchants through PayPal. This kind of thing has started on a small scale elsewhere, but PayPal is going to majorly increase mass adoption. I don't think we're far away from being able to pay our rent with crypto through Venmo or PayPal. And that kind of thing makes me bullish. It gives me chills up my spine. Guys, I can hear the bull market calling. Can you hear it too? And it says, Wind Moon. That's all for me. Thanks for watching Discover Crypto! Hit that like button on your way out. And we'll see you at the top.

If you're interested in, if you find value in the podcast and you're interested in joining us, head out to theaverageguy .tv slash Patreon. I mentioned Paul is with us. Paul Brarren is back. Paul, you were the most requested guest I've ever had on Home Gadget Geeks in the last couple months. People have been like, Where's Paul? Bring Paul back. So you said, Yes, thank you. And then a whole bunch of people were excited this week. Welcome back to Home Gadget Geeks. Paul Brarrens Thank you so much, Jim. It's very kind. Last time we were on was March of 2022, and a lot has happened in license then. But the outpouring on Twitter, especially John Vigz there, very kind thing said. It was very sweet. Jim Collison Yeah, yeah, it's good, good to catch up with you. We, we go way back with Home, for anyone just joining us, we go back, way back with Home Server Show. We've, we've been together a couple times at some of the meetups. We did you do, what did you do with your, with your old Honda Civic? What, what happened? Paul Brarrens Yeah, my youngest son had it. It didn't last too long. Made a few trips to Pittsburgh and back, and then conked out about 20 miles from home. That was the end of that. But it was like 160 ,000 miles or something. It did all right. You and I married almost the same number of years, right, about the same age, all those things. Jim Collison Yeah, it's, it's, it's very similar. We've gotten, I turned my 06 Civic Hybrid over to Sammy. It's got a quarter of a million miles on it. And it's still chugging along. So we're still having, we replaced the batteries once on your, not well, not on your recommendation. You've done it, and then maybe 10 ,000 miles before the warranty ran out. My batteries went bad. That was the old lead -acid batteries. They weren't the new ones we, we see today. I think they were lead -acid. There's 06, right? Do you think? Paul Brarren Yeah, the back seat didn't fold in that Civic, right? So you couldn't use your trunk the same as a regular Civic, because the seats were behind the back passenger, right? Little funky. Yeah, no, and mine went right before warranty too. But anyhow, going back one topic, you mentioned your weather. 94 degrees, I think, maybe 95 today here in Wethersfield, Connecticut, and it's like our third or fourth day like this in a row. It's been hot. And I've been working outside. I picked this week of all weeks to have vacation where it was a staycation and catching up on yard work and home stuff. But we'll get into that. Part of getting a new house, which is not a new house, 33 -year -old house, is renovations. And a lot, and I do whatever I can, when I can. Jim Collison, CFP® – New to you, new to you, and you kind of try to make it your own. By the way, we're sending some cooler weather to you.

CRYPTO 101
A highlight from Ep. 562 Our New Co-Host A Crypto Analyst Joins the Team!
"All right, everybody, welcome back to another episode of the Crypto 101 Podcast. It is a big, big day in Crip Nation. Man, sound the alarms, bang the pots in the pans because it is a momentous occasion. We are joined by a new co -host, or I should say I am joined by a new co -host, Brendan Veman, who has been working with us behind the scenes at extreme length for the past two years. He's getting called up to the big leagues. So, Brendan, dude, welcome to the Crypto 101 Podcast. This is your new home, brother. Welcome. Hey, excited to be here. Like Bryce said, it's crazy because I've been working with you guys for almost two years now, and it's been awesome. Excited to come to the forefront. Excited to connect with more people in the cryptocurrency space and preach the great gospel that is crypto and blockchain. Yeah, dude, this is awesome. I'm so, so pumped. I learned so much from you, so I view this as just great for opportunity this podcast to just get kicked up to another level. I've been following you for a long time. I'm very pleased that you've been choosing to work with us. Man, we're going to have an awesome time. I want to make this episode all about you. I know that we've had you on previous episodes, so I think anybody who has been watching religiously for the past couple months or so, they've for sure run into you. But I want to have them all hear it from the horse's mouth. So, Brendan, this is your episode. We're going to introduce you to Crypt Nation if they don't already know you. So I'm going to ask you some questions. You feel good about that? You feel okay revealing a little bit about who you are? Yeah, I'm ready for the barrage of questions to begin. Awesome. Let's just start off high level. So what do you do? Who are you? What do you currently do? How did you make it on the Crypto 101 podcast? Yeah, man. So I started off in the early days of Bitcoin. My realization point or what got me interested is that I found this thing early. A lot of people around me had unpopular opinions, or maybe at the time it was popular opinions, but they were more anti -crypto. That motivated me and inspired me to really dig into this thing more. And so I did. And so as the years went on, like a little hot button issue, and you were like, oh, this is kind of getting people's gears going. There must be something here. Is that kind of what it is? Yeah. I mean, exactly. Like at the time, Bitcoin was worth a couple of times more than what the US dollar was. And it was this asset that just stood out. And me being the curious individual that I was, was like, hey, this is making people angry. It has a crazy pairing against fiat currencies. Like, let's really explore this thing. That's where I found my base. And so as the technology expanded and grew over the years as blockchain tech really begin to kind of, I guess, show its fruits. And then you had Litecoin and Ethereum and Monero and all those early stage cryptos really began to show just how versatile and helpful blockchain could be. That is when my interest in crypto went from just kind of this side interest, the side hobby to like, hey, this is going to really change the world as we know it. And that leads me to starting the crypto analyst YouTube channel in 2017. That's how I found you. Yeah. And I, and I'll tell you why I started that originally because I had so many people around me not understanding crypto. Crypto wasn't super mainstream yet. It was a kind of on that brink of that big bull run that it had, but I was still getting the same questions asked to me all the time. And I'm - I'm pre -recording answers for family and friends, go to my YouTube channel, and then it just kind of caught fire. I mean, exactly. That's kind of what it came down to is, here are all the answers that you're going to ask me anyway. And so that's really why the YouTube channel originated, but also because I love talking about it. I loved it. I believed in it. And also I didn't want to answer the same stuff all the time. So I was like, boom, YouTube channel is born. And that was like my real step, like full time. I'm into this thing. I'm committed. Like, here we go. And you know, man, I've ran that every single year. I mean, I have over 750 public videos now since 2017. We're at 10 ,000 subscribers. Like it's grown into a really cool thing. And, you know, occasionally I still see people that are from the very early days of that come around and they're like, Hey, Brendan. And it's great to see the community go strong as we are over here. So, you know, we're going from one strong community to another and the mission is still the same. Yeah. No. And it's been awesome working with you for the past couple of years here. And for folks who are listening, you don't know, behind the scenes, we've got, you know, premium subscriber only content that we roll out every single day, every single week. Brendan has been hosting live streams with me. He's been doing all sorts of amazing, you know, written and video content for the Crypto 101 University video course that we have. So if you want to check all that stuff out, we will link to it in the show notes. All the stuff we've been working on and the Crip Nation private group, guys, it's an incredible community that Brendan and I have been building up for, you know, along with our whole team here for the past several years. And we're so excited to be bringing Brendan to the Crypto 101 podcast. And with that being said, Brendan, I want to ask a little bit of a lightning round sort of rapid fire question and answer. How do you feel about that? I kind of prepared some things. I know I didn't show you ahead of time. I want it to be surprising. Does that sound okay? Let the surprises begin. I will do my best. Okay. I've got a long list. And so this is going to go quick. And when I say one word answer, I mean, one word answer. I don't want you to go off off the rails or anything. Maybe if you need two words or I'll give you three is the most. Okay. No tangents. Okay. No tangents. So I'm going to start easy and then I'm going to ramp up. So first is like Bitcoin or Ethereum. Ethereum. Okay. And by the way, I almost started the tangent I'm breaking my rules, but these will definitely inform all of us of really who you are and how you think. And this is on the record. So I want you to know that. So you say Ethereum, the next question I had after that was proof of stake or proof of work. What do you think is better? See the one world answers are already killing me here. We'll go with proof of stake. I'm sorry everyone out there. Then you choose proof of stake, which is the consensus model that it uses. Whereas Bitcoin uses proof of work. Let me ask you when you're analyzing the crypto markets, if you had to choose one technical analysis or fundamental analysis. Man, technical is all the way. I'm a trader at heart. Yeah. What I always say is price is the final arbiter. Price knows everything. Good fundamentals kind of put you in the same place as good technicals. So price should have all the information. So I would probably side with you on that one. Let me ask you this, trading or holding, what is your style? Trading. I'm a trader at heart. Okay. You're quick hot potato. Timeframe trading daily or monthly? Daily. Okay. Making trades daily, closing positions out. Leverage or no leverage? Oh, one word answer to this one. Leverage yes or no. We'll go with no leverage. No leverage anymore. Honestly, a man after my own heart. I've always advocated to stay away from the leverage. There's a great quote that it's like a Warren Buffett quote about the way people go broke is like ladies, liquor and leverage. And that's like the three ways that men go broke, ladies, liquor and leverage. So stay away from the leverage. But let me ask you this, what's your favorite exchange? Kraken recently. Okay. Kraken. I'm a big Kraken fan, but favorite wallet. I'm going to roll with MetaMask. I'm going to roll with MetaMask. I don't think I expected that. I don't think I expected anybody to like MetaMask, but here we are. God bless them. Everybody uses them. I think they've been getting better. Yeah. They've been getting better. I agree. And I have to say recently I've been liking treasure wallets. Obviously they're safer, but I've been really digging them, especially more than the nano ledgers. I have both and treasure has been standing out to me. Okay. I like it. It's a hot take. Trezor. T -R -E -Z -O -R. Kind of a play on words of like a treasure chest, right? Where all your crypto gets stored. Let me ask you this, Brendan, your favorite dap, and I'll restrict it to your favorite dap. DeFi Okay. Hot take here as well. I'm going to roll with, I think most people would expect maybe like Uniswap, but I'll roll with Osmosis here. I'll throw a wrench in everything. Hold the door. Hold the door. I did not expect it. I did not see that coming. That's a great pick though. The cosmos decks, the cosmos DeFi one -stop shop. Osmosis. Hot pick.

Simply Bitcoin
A highlight from BREAKING: China to Reverse Bitcoin Ban?! | EP 816
"It's all going to zero against Bitcoin. It's going up for everyone. You're against Bitcoin. You're against freedom. Yo, welcome to Simply Bitcoin Live, our number one source for the peaceful Bitcoin revolution of code breaking news culture and medic warfare. We will be your guide through the separation of money and state. Speaking of the separation of money and state, China seems to be reversing course. You wouldn't expect that. I mean, if you've been paying attention, they've been kind of dropping some little hints here and there. We know by some data collected by CNBC, I think it was Mackenzie Segalos who originally dropped the article, that it was estimated to be still 20 % of the Bitcoin hash rate is still located in China even after the China ban. And then the news from Hong Kong started coming out where Hong Kong seems to be trying to attract Bitcoin companies or Bitcoin and altcoin companies to set up shop in Hong Kong. And Hong Kong is a semi autonomous region. You know, supposedly it's a one country, two systems, but they have been cracking down a lot on freedom of speech and all that stuff over there. So they wouldn't be able to do this without Beijing's approval. And that that isn't just simply Bitcoin saying that there's articles that have said that Bloomberg has said that I know I know another publication has said this as well. So I don't think it's a coincidence that literally a couple months later, an article dropped out dropped originally in it was originally in Mandarin. And then Yahoo News published the article late at midnight, midnight today, and it says China court says virtual assets legally protected as properties. So you know, this 180 basically, we know that the CCP, who is, you know, the governing body of mainland China or the governing political party, they absolutely hate Bitcoin. They're all hell bent on pushing forward the central bank digital currency system with the social credit system, all that stuff, you know, like freedom money. But this is something that Alex Gladstein has written about where he wrote an article for Bitcoin magazine called Bitcoin is the Trojan horse for freedom. And he made the case that, uh, NGU technology and freedom enabling technology, they're inextricably inextricably linked. You can't separate the two. I see Afi Opti laughing in the background to my pronunciation. Sorry. Not sorry. Um, but I think this is a testament to Bitcoin's incentives. And even if you are from one of the most totalitarian countries in the world, um, you know, we always hear that a nai mukhelei is a danger to democracy, a dangerous democracy. We never hear that about China for some reason, we don't even have democracy, right? Um, so yeah, it's just, uh, it's, it's just interesting how Bitcoin's incentives are irresistible. And this is actually one of Opti's like famous lines, right? It's like, you can't ban yourself, uh, I forget, let me bring up Opti so that he could actually say the line. Opti, how do you say it? Uh, again, just to be clear, I didn't create this. I just propagate the meme, but you can't ban Bitcoin. You can only ban yourself from Bitcoin. Boom. Exactly. Right. So you can't ban Bitcoin. You can only ban your, uh, you can only, exactly. So, and then we see that with the hash rate, right? People are willing to go to jail on Bitcoin. That's so crazy. Right. Um, and then there are some numbers that were coming out of Binance that apparently it's like 20 % of the exchange volume is still coming out of China, right? So it's, it's, it's some absurd amount and this is Bitcoin's incentives. And this is something that we've been propagating. And this is something that we've been talking about for a very, very long time in the separation of money and stay in this process that we're all kind of living through these days is what they have is coercion. They coerce can people into using state money to using money that has control surveillance inflation built in, but Bitcoiners don't have to rely on coercion. We just have incentives. Our money has a better incentive structure. And I think that's why at the end of the day, we're going to win this thing eventually. The only question is how long is it going to take and how painful is it going to be? And that's just, that's the big question, right? Corey Clipsen from Swan wrote this amazing article, highly recommend it called the race to avoid the war. And he's talking about, we have to, we have to ruin the race. We have to get in a minority of people, an intransigent minority that's not willing to bend on a certain issue that is holding Bitcoiners, that's holding Bitcoin. And they're not willing to bend. They're just saying like, look, like I, this is, you know, like this is my wealth, this is my future, this is the money I decided to use. And then it becomes a voting issue, a policy issue that just doesn't move. The example that I would give for you guys is the gun lobby in the United States. Like look how hard it is to pass a gun, whether you agree with them or not, obviously you guys know we're Freedom Maxis. So I'm a big fan of the Second Amendment personally, but I respect people's different differing of opinions, of course.

Andrew Tate Motivational Speech
A highlight from NO MORE EXCUSES - Andrew Tate Motivational Speech
"I don't care how I feel. Yeah, I don't care if I feel happy or sad It doesn't really affect what I do each day. I do the exact same things. I act the exact same way I it does. I don't care It does I does I don't put weight to the significance of the emotion So I always consider myself a happy person But if I woke up and I was slightly less happy one day than another It wouldn't affect anything I do and I wouldn't put any relevance to it. I'm human and that's life But Truthfully, it doesn't matter if it's getting a girl or it's making money or it's getting status It doesn't matter what it is as a man. We live in hyper competitive environments I don't think enough men understand how competitive the world is if you want a girl you're competing against other men You're not the only man who had the idea of getting that girl. There's no girl you're gonna see and go Oh, I'll get that girl and didn't cross anyone else's mind everybody else wants or you have to out compete other man You have to be as competitive as possible. You have to be as successful as possible in all realms You have to be as good -looking as funny as smart as spontaneous as interesting as charismatic as rich as possible You need to try very hard to be your absolute best and as you become a better man You'll crack through different tiers of attractiveness and eventually you get to the top and you'll be able to have any girl you want But the truth is I have a lot of guys asked me Similar to your question a guy will come to me and go how do I get a girl my bro? You're a loser Yeah, but I know but how do I get a girl? Well, you're a fucking loser. You're a loser. Why are you asking me? It's like saying how do I win a race with a push bike you're racing Ferraris? What do you want me to do? Yeah, there's only so much you can do He's only so hard you can pedal. There's only so many tricks and tips. There's only so many game Things you can say so many pickup lines if you're a loser It's gonna be very very difficult and it's gonna get harder and harder. The game is rigged to become harder and harder for men It's not getting easier It's going the other way and if you're gonna be on a racetrack and there's gonna be Ferraris there and you're gonna be on a Pedal bike or in a Nissan you're gonna get smoked. That's the game. You have to up yourself. You have to improve yourself I'm not gonna lie to anybody here and say you don't have to improve yourself You can stay a loser and get chicks because you can't I Don't understand how many humans function in the world today. I don't get people who don't think like me. I don't understand it I'm like, well then how do how have you survived this long life is hard life is difficult I maybe I've just been unlucky which I don't believe in but I've had so much trauma and bad events and Used all of it to be monumentally successful if I wasn't that way inclined with the workload that God put on my shoulders I'd just be in a ditch somewhere Yeah I don't have killed myself by now But I don't understand how people are functioning if you're not thinking like me and you're going through life with any other mindset You've been extremely fortunate that God smiled on you and allowed you to sit around most of the time to inject shit and you have Yet to be punished for that I I could never have lived that life if I was a bit lazy or a bit You know or I was a bit of a snake or I lied to people I'd be dead by now Like so a lot of these people are just absolutely and utterly blessed by God that they managed to go through life with such a non competitive mindset and they still breathing like I Don't get I don't understand how people can think any other way. I've spoken to dudes and like yeah, you know I had a bad couple months. Why I'm a girl left me you've wasted months You wasted months over some Like you had you had the think of how much God loves you to have given you the the grace and given you the Opportunity to waste months of human time over some chick like talk about blessed head -to -toe if I waste months Empires are gonna collapse. I'm gonna put a cell or dead if I waste months. I have things to do every single day I can't waste a second like these people are just absolutely Infinitely blessed and their mindset is a product of that because they're they're spoiled children Absolutely spoiled children if you're going through life with any other mindset besides a hyper competitive one Or you're capable of competing with some of the most Dangerous men on the planet and all their forms me and my network and also my competitors If you don't have that mindset, then you have to understand that you are spoiled You're spoiled by your reality because there's a whole bunch of people out here daily who fail There are men out here who fail daily and they have yet to feel the true consequence for it They fail to go to the gym when they know they should have gone to the gym They fail because they forgot their keys and they took them ten minutes to find him They fail because they replied to a question. They got sent on whatsapp the wrong way They fail because they didn't smile and they're supposed to they didn't say please and thank you to that person who helped them They fail because they didn't say hi to that girl who's looking at them out the corner of her eye They just fail perpetually they go through life missing every opportunity and just failing failing failing and somehow we've built a society Which is so soft and God is so giving and so graceful that they still have a place to eat and somewhere to sleep and they're still surviving that that shows how nice God is because it before this society truthfully if you were that Level of failure you would be dead It's survival of the fittest and none of these men out here are fit their mindset isn't fit the reality isn't fit They're absolutely they're failures. They're failures and they're just failing every single day I'm gonna go but you know what tomorrow I'll go to the gym. You've been failing your whole Life that's all you've done is fail and then you sit and wonder why people like me absolutely not Lee I'll compete you it is So easy to become a top -tier male in the world today because the competition is so ridiculously low There are 2 % killers like me and everybody else Amateur head -to -toe amateur. They can't even pay attention to anything. They can't try anything. They're amateurs and It's it's it's really mind -blowing to me because I've tried with all of my computational power to Imagine having a mindset different to mine and I just can't see a reality worth having I can't see a reality worth living I can't see how you're gonna build a life worth experiencing if you have any other mindset. I can't see it Yeah, I've never met somebody with a fantastic life who did not completely and utterly believe in themselves I've never seen somebody massively succeed and they didn't believe in themselves ever I've never seen somebody who just allows life to happen to them and become blown off course by some Sadness end up doing massively monumental and important things. I've never seen it. It does and it's never gonna happen If I'm unhappy with something and I'm uncomfortable with something that I fix it Yeah, that's endless motivation, which I don't truly believe in as a concept But that's endless fuel for the fire right if I was unhappy with something about myself Regardless of what it was I would be able to take all of that discomfort and turn it into endless energy to get the problem fixed But these people seem to be unhappy. Yeah Well, these people seem to sit and say I'm really I'm really unhappy with X but then stay doing X So I don't believe they're truly actually unhappy what you'll notice if you live life long enough Is that somebody will sit and say to you? I'm unhappy being a loser. Yeah. Why are you a loser? I just sit at home play video games seven days a week and you're like, okay and Maybe three days of the week. They're unhappy doing that Yeah, that's the time they email you and that's the time they want to make a change but four days of the week They don't really bother them doesn't really bother them because if it bothered them seven days a week guess what they would fix it Correct. So I have very little sympathy for people and That's not because I'm not a nice person But it's because I've been so hard on myself and I've been through so many things That were difficult and I've been through so much pain and trauma myself Some of its self -inflicted some of it given to me by God to make me a better person But I've been I've been so difficult on myself It's very hard for me to look at somebody who's refused to be difficult on themselves and see them as my equal or feel sympathy Or pity for them. Why would I feel pity for somebody who took the easy route when I took the hardest possible route? Yeah, I took the hardest possible way to be the man I am and you were too big of a and now you want me To feel sorry for you. I don't feel sorry for you. I don't feel sorry for these people and Because as a man you can be anything you decide you want to be that's the beauty of being a male You can build your character completely from the ground up just like a video game every single thing about me that people respect I built I was not born a world champion kickboxer. I was not born this intelligent or an intellectual I was not born this rich. I was not born this strong. I was not born this confident I was not born this interesting I was not born as charismatic and humble and gorgeous and tall and strong and sexy although born none of these things I became these things myself so I deserve all the spoils of war and Anybody who decides they don't want to work hard enough to become those things and they deserve to sit and accept their my inferior Yeah, that's dirt. That's their problem So you talk a lot about purpose and What is your thoughts as to do you have like an exact answer as to why we are created as humans and why we're here What is the purpose of life? Why have we been given life? I think we're here to struggle and to learn I don't think we're here to be happy. That's why when we keep going back to the happy argument I've always found that kind of frustrating and annoying and someone goes oh, but I want to be happy. Why? Why Why do you want to sit there and laugh like you were happy your entire childhood. That's your happy days You're allowed to be happy. That's it. It's all over now, right? You're a man your responsibilities I think we're here to do important Yeah Pretired perfect provide protect and we're also here to do important things and important things are gonna be difficult and they're gonna be hard and You're gonna get frustrated, but that's what gives you purpose. I don't see anyone who's chasing happiness I think that's a very feminine frame. I understand why some women just want to be happy I think I don't know that how it feels to be a girl cuz I'm not one but no in my experience I know women who just want to be happy girls. Just want to have fun They're fine, but you're a man right and if you're a man, then it's absolutely not a different experience of life I I think we're here to struggle. I think we're here to endure pain I think we're here to just see how hard we are to kill I think that Going through terrible things and living through them and and coming out the other side is one of the most fantastic things about being human I think that it's almost like once you understand what life is really about There's no emotion which isn't enjoyable The only emotion that the only emotional state which can be seen as detrimental is feeling nothing at all But if you're sitting at home and you're feeling truly heartbroken at least you're feeling something, right? Yes, and and I think that's the whole part of being human. I don't I Think we're here to struggle.

A highlight from BREAKING! GRAYSCALE WINS LAWSUIT AGAINST SEC GARY GENSLER FOR BITCOIN SPOT ETF!!
"Welcome back to the Thinking Crypto Podcast, your home for cryptocurrency news and interviews. If you are new here, please hit that subscribe button as well as the thumbs up button and leave a comment below. If you're listening on a podcast platform such as Spotify, Apple or Google, please leave a five star rating and review. It supports the podcast and it doesn't cost you anything. Well, folks, we've got breaking news. Grayscale has won their lawsuit against the SEC, another big fat L for Gary Gensler. So here, Eleanor Toretta Fox Business reported a D .C. Court of Appeals has granted Grayscale's petition for review to convert its GBTC trust into a Bitcoin spot ETF and has ordered the SEC's order to be vacated. Documents and detail to come. Folks, this is great news. Gary Gensler and the SEC take another big fat L. And it's not that we want them inherently to take L's, but rather they are corrupt. We've been talking about it. I've been calling Gary Gensler a scumbag regulator because he is a puppet on strings being controlled by the TradFi incumbents who have been trying to kill crypto startups like Coinbase, Ripple, Grayscale. And he's been weaponized. That is not what the SEC should be doing. They're supposed to be protecting investors, but they have become political. I've said it before. They become rotten at their core. It's disgusting. They're using taxpayer dollars to do these things. And Gary Gensler should be fired. He should resign today. And we've got to put the pressure, folks. But this is a big victory following, obviously, the Ripple victory and XRP victory. And we're waiting for Coinbase to have a victory as well. And I think Gary is going to have to resign. He's going to be taking some of the biggest L's in the history of the SEC. Here, Eleanor Tourette highlighted what Michael Sonnenshine, who's the CEO of Grayscale, said a few weeks ago. She said when Sonnenshine came on Fox Business with Liz Klayman a few weeks ago, he told us he was confident that Grayscale had dotted their I's and crossed their T's in their appeal. And she said, looks like the court thought so, too. Here's a quick snippet. Grayscale has demonstrated its proposed Bitcoin ETP is materially similar across relevant regulatory factors to the approved Bitcoin features ETPs. First, the underlying assets, Bitcoin and Bitcoin features are closely correlated. And second, these surveillance and sharing agreements with the CME are identical and should have the same likelihood of detecting fraudulent or manipulative conduct in the market for Bitcoin and Bitcoin futures. Folks, we know what this is about. We know the spot ETF should have been approved a long time ago. SEC Commissioner Hester Persa said this. It's the same structure that exists for the futures. Gary is, you know, he loves the futures ETFs. He approved a 2x leverage futures ETF. He approved a short ETF. But why not a spot ETF? That's because his buddies, BlackRock and Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan hadn't filed their application yet. But we saw right away BlackRock did it about a few months ago or a couple months ago. And then, you know, I think they were anticipating the loss here. So Gary is getting exposed. Here is another excerpt from the ruling. The denial of Grayscale's proposal was arbitrary and capricious because the commission failed to explain its different treatment of similar products. Exactly. You know, I've been seeing it for a long time. The courts is where we're going to win, right? It's where Gary Gensler is going to be exposed. His corruption, his lies and all the nonsense. This guy needs to resign. And this news is getting covered by Bloomberg, Fortune. So it's making the mainstream press. And that's not a good thing for Gary. I've often talked about the optics are not looking good for Gary. A lot of Democrats are distancing themselves from him. And that's key because he's Democrat appointed. Right. I'm going to give you a quick excerpt of what Bloomberg is reporting. They said Grayscale Investments LLC got a green light from a federal court to launch the first Bitcoin exchange traded fund in the U .S., a watershed moment in the crypto industry's quest to tap billions of dollars from everyday investors. A three judge appeals panel in Washington on Tuesday overturned a decision by the U .S. Securities and Exchange Commission to block the ETF, essentially. So I can't read the full thing because Bloomberg wants me to pay same thing with Fortune. But I think you all get the gist of it. And I just tweeted out, folks, Grayscale has beaten the SEC, another big fat L for scumbag regulator Gary Gensler. Ripple XRP took a big victory and now we need Coinbase to join the victory party as well. As I've been saying, we will win in the courts and expose corrupt Gary Gensler. So, folks, we got to keep fighting, keep pushing. And remember, just in yesterday's podcast, I talked about the SEC had to comment on six different Bitcoin spot ETFs, which included BlackRock, Bitwise, VanEck, WisdomTree, Fidelity, Invesco, and so forth. So I'm assuming their approvals are around the corner because, as I've been saying for months, Gary will try to bury this news that he took another L by approving these ETFs. That's personally what I think. I could be wrong, but I think we've seen his political games and how he tries to change a narrative, right? He's made the SEC very political. Once again, they've fallen far from their core mission of looking to protect investors. It's a shame. And look, we know what happened with Bill Hammond and Jake Clayton, with Ethereum. It's a mess. The SEC needs to be revamped.

Crypto Banter
A highlight from A Major Bitcoin Move Is Brewing This Week! (How To Prepare)
"This is decision time for Bitcoin, and it's also decision time for the SEC, who are set to either approve, delay, or deny the BlackRock Bitcoin spot ETF this week. So I think it's going to be a pretty big week in crypto. Of course, the last week, we kind of just moved sideways, not much happened. But in today's episode, which is my weekly watchlist episode, I want to break down exactly what could happen this week, what the key dates are that you need to keep your eye on. And then, of course, as usual, from these weekly preview shows that I've been doing every Monday, I'm going to go through my altcoin list and show you some of the coins that I am watching on the market right now, the reasons why, and also go through some of the market moves that I'm making. So smash the like button if you do enjoy these Monday shows. And without further ado, let's get straight into the video. So not much to update you on in terms of the Bitcoin price. From a price perspective, the only thing I just want to reiterate right now is that we are starting to form a little bit of a flag formation. Technically, this would be regarded as a bear flag of sorts, which does have a higher probability of breaking to the downside from a technical perspective. But we also do have this upper region here, which you can keep your eye on if Bitcoin makes that push up towards the mid 26 ,000 region. So just keep your eye on this flag that's starting to form, also paying attention to, of course, that critical support level at the 25 ,000 level, which was the pivot point for Bitcoin before the initial spot ETF driven rally, which saw Bitcoin rally from 25K all the way to 31K. So just watch this flag at the moment and also keep a close eye on 25K because that is Bitcoin's major support from a technical perspective. Now, what are the key dates that you need to keep in mind? Well, as you can see here, the first deadline for the iShares Bitcoin Trust, in other words, the BlackRock Bitcoin spot ETF is on September 2nd. So that is on Saturday. But of course, because the SEC doesn't usually report on weekends, it's probably likely that we get a response either on Thursday or Friday, and it could happen even sooner. But obviously, that is their major deadline. So if they do want to kind of push it to the very last date, they could do it on Friday. We also have the Bitwise Trust on the first, which is going to be on the Friday, and then a bunch of other, a plethora of other Bitcoin spot ETFs due for their first deadline. Now, this doesn't mean that the SEC has to necessarily give a ruling on Bitcoin on Friday or on Saturday. They could technically just delay to the second deadline, which I guess the probability is that they will just keep delaying. But usually around these events, we do get major news. For example, like a couple of weeks ago, that's when the SEC handed in a request for the amendments of the spot ETF. So oftentimes during these weeks, we do see some sort of response from the SEC. The other thing that you need to keep in mind from a Bitcoin perspective is the Grayscale Trust is also set to have a response by the SEC this week. So I think it's likely either on Tuesday or Thursday that we get some sort of word about the Grayscale conversion from the futures to the Bitcoin spot ETF. So lots of news here could potentially cause volatility for Bitcoin, which makes this week a really important week to stick to the charts and have a look at what's going on and paying attention to that. Now, of course, BlackRock has an exemplary record when it comes to these spot ETFs. That's why it's such a big event in the market, and it really is what the market is hanging out for right now. I mean, we've just been shopping sideways. A lot of participants are showing some sort of apathy towards the market, quite bored, waiting for that next big catalyst. Of course, a spot ETF approval would be that catalyst and a delay into 2024, if we keep getting delays, would definitely be enough to put some suppressory pressure on the Bitcoin price to suppress it down as Q4 kind of macro effects start to affect the Bitcoin price in absence of a catalyst. That's what would happen if we got a delay, but who knows what's going to happen, and the SEC could always chuck a curveball at us in the next week or so. So definitely one to keep your eye on. But in the lead up to some of these key dates, the Bitcoin open interest has actually started to uptick. So I'm on Velo here. We could see that the total Bitcoin open interest, so the amount of total open positions in the futures market, was at $4 .8 billion towards the back end of last week. Now, it's already ticking over into the $5 billion range. And today, we did see a little spike to the $5 .06 bill range, which is the highest it's been in roughly a week. So we are starting to see some positioning in terms of shorts and longs on the Bitcoin price, which is quite interesting. And typically, when we see like CVDs and Delta perps moving higher with price and open interest increasing, that does indicate that a move could start to be brewing here. And it's interesting because you contrast the short term tick up in open interest in line with the fact that the weekly Bitcoin Bollinger Band width is now at its lowest that it's ever been in history. And it kind of paints the picture here that, look, at some point, we are going to get an explosive move, and it could be as soon as this week, because we know Bitcoin is forming this bear flag. We also know that the SEC is set to give some sort of ruling, whether it's an approval, a delay or a denial. And we also know they're going to speak on Grayscale. It could be this week. Lots of stuff happening in China and whatnot as well. But, you know, it could also not happen this week. So we don't know when it's going to happen, but I would just be prepared for volatility on the markets to hit at some point. It is boring right now, but remember that could change super quick, just as we saw a couple weeks ago with that big Bitcoin move. And we do see periods of compression tend to lead to expansion. So what am I doing? Well, this is really what I want to talk about in today's video. What am I looking at? Let's go through all the alts. Let's go through all the trades. Some are short trades, some aren't just longs, and some also longs. So you guys know every Monday I've been doing this kind of the week ahead series where we look at my favorite alt plays for the week and we dissect them and we talk about it. And it's a lot of fun and I really enjoy it. So let's get into it right now. I've got, I think, seven alts to discuss, actually 10, because some narratives are comprised of multiple altcoins. But yeah, basically 10 alts to discuss, some I'm buying, some I'm shorting. It's going to be a lot of fun going through these. Just before we go into that list, I want to give a shout out to one of our official show partners, Link2. If you're interested in investing in tech stocks or crypto companies like Equities, but you don't want to invest in the stock market, but you want exposure to IDOs that aren't available to retail investors, often you need like 100k tickets to get on the IDOs of a lot of newly launched companies. Link2 is a platform that is going to allow you essentially as a retail investor to invest in a lot of these kind of future unicorn opportunities like these tech stocks. I'll give you an example here. If you scroll down, you can see that on their platform, you can invest in Ripple, Chain Analysis, Circle, iTrust, Polysign, Copper, Ledger, a lot of these crypto companies that aren't public companies, but have IDO opportunities through the Link2 platform. Because basically what they do is they get opportunities, they vet them, they do their research, they do their risk assessment, and then they list these companies on the platform to enable you to buy in. Basically the same as you would if you're a wholesale investor, except they're allowing retail to do it through their phone app. If you're interested in just investing in other types of companies, not just coins, but also crypto businesses, then there's a link in the description. I highly recommend checking out Link2 out. Of course, not financial advice towards any specific token on the platform. Do your own research before investing in a specific company, but I think it's a really cool way for you to invest in private equity if you're interested in that, and we partner with them for that reason because I think it's really cool. Okay, let's get on with the video. The first thing I want to discuss from the altcoin point of view is Pepe. We did talk about this on the show last week, so I won't bore you too much, but essentially what happened after the Pepe multi -sig was changed, we had that drama about Pepe being dumped onto the market. The Pepe official account on Twitter came out and essentially said, just like I had mentioned on Sheldon's show last week, that there was internal conflict. And basically, a few of the team members turned on the other team members, they dumped, like they went behind the back of another team member, lots of contradictory stories flying around there, and a few discrepancies that we can really highlight in this text if we want to dive deep. But basically, the TLDR is Pepe is in a very weird spot. It's in a shaky spot. It even got hard forked, and there's like a $30 million fork of Pepe now on the market. So really weird times for Pepe, but from a like technical perspective, I'm looking at this chart going, well, this actually looks good. And it's kind of weird because it's obviously in the face of a lot of FUD and typically when coins go through, you know, such a hardship, they find it hard to recover, right? Especially a meme coin where there's like some sort of element of trust which people rely on. But from a pure TA perspective, I'm looking here at the Pepe chart and I'm saying, well, it still is on support. So if you were interested in it long, you're still getting an opportunity. But the only thing you're going to be wary of is the fact it is starting to form a flag here. It's testing support multiple times. The more it tests, the higher chance it has of breaking down. So it's on my highest probability long ever. And I actually can flip into quite a nice short. But the reason it's on my watch list for the week is because it's at a key level and it has a big decision to make. And I think that if you are asking the question like, is Pepe dead? Is it still a meme coin that's worth investing in? Is it still something we should be trading? The real answer to that question will come next time meme coins have a big move. Because I want to see if Pepe is responsive to liquidity changes in general meme coins. So last time we saw liquidity flood into meme coins, Pepe actually led the pack. And the reason for that is because it was one of the strongest memes. I want to see if the community is still strong during the next meme move. So the only real way to tell whether the market still likes Pepe. And the only real way to validate the long term Pepe thesis here is monitoring how it responds to a broader meme coin move. We don't know yet. We don't know when that's going to happen. But when that happens, that will essentially give me my final verdict on with the long term. Pepe still has legs because if it starts being irresponsive to market moves, we can kind of say, well, it's not really a meme coin beta play anymore. It's kind of like in its own nation. That's not really why we would want to invest in Pepe. We want to invest in Pepe as a high beta way to maximize market moves to the upside during periods where people are going more risk on. Right. So that's my opinion on Pepe. The next token I'm watching this week is Sui. Very interesting things happening on Sui from a fundamental level. I think they've done a really good. Look, I know they had a lot of issues with their airdrop and I think they've done a good job of starting to build a little bit of a community. Their daily transactions of Uptick actually overtook Avalanche and Nia. They're just sitting behind Polygon, actually ahead of Aptos, which is their counterpart, also built on the move language from the formerly defunct DM project that Facebook was running. You see the daily active addresses on Sui also have skyrocketed to the 500 ,000 active addresses range, which actually beats out Polygon and once again beats Avalanche, Nia, Aptos. So they're actually building something pretty cool here and I'm just keeping my eyes on some of the metrics here. TVL also increasing, DEX volumes have been fairly stable around the million range, but the prices come down alongside a lot of these other tokens. So what I'm keeping my eye on, given that we did see a little bit of a volume spike over the last week. So if we go into the chart here, we can see that over the last seven days we had this uptick and then the price significantly dumped. And the reason I think the price dumped after it initially pushed to the upside is because you have this unlock, which is roughly 4 .7 % of the circulating supply that's being unlocked later today. This is quite a steep part of their emission schedule. Then you have another major steep emissions unlock next June and then after that, things become quite a lot easier. But this is a pretty steep unlock today. And for that reason, with 4 .7 % coming into the market, I think there's been a broader selloff. But I don't think you could really assert that it's like necessarily a bearish selloff right now. Although that's how a lot of altcoins end up performing three to four months after their unlocks. For some reason, I've got like this bullish unlock vibe from Sui. I don't know why, but just some of the price action surrounding it, I would not be surprised if this thing pumps. Once again, probably not going to long it just based on my intuition because there's nothing really to substantiate it. If you do want some technicals to substantiate it, though, it's quite interesting. Dan Crypto Trades overlays here the Sui price chart with the Aptos price chart since its launch. And it shows that it's pretty similar. You have the initial pump, then the initial dump, 66%, then its first rally, its lower high, just like we got from Aptos. First rally, lower high, and then eventually sweeps its all -time low. Aptos, we see a couple months after its launch, swept its all -time low and then rallied to the upside. Sui exhibiting a very similar pattern. Is the big rally coming next? Well, I'm not sure. But definitely, definitely keep this on your watchlist as a primary target. It's all point of these shows, right, to build up weekly watchlist and monitor changes in volumes. We see some interesting upticks in volume alongside open interest. And we're seeing price respond positively post unlock. I would definitely be interested in taking along here, especially if Bitcoin is holding up. We have bullish Bitcoin news. Of course, a lot of these alts are going to perform well. Similarly, if we get like bad Bitcoin news, you can start to short the weak coins. Don't know if Sui will be a weak coin though. I think there's a little bit building here. So, and from a fundamental perspective, we can get into it in the future. But Sui is kind of, I was like averse to making any like bold calls within the first few months because I wanted to see how the network developed. But now sitting here like a few months after launch, seeing what it's doing, seeing the projects building there. I think like a firm, I think it's my favorite move programming language L1. And I also think it's starting to differentiate itself a little bit from some of the other newer L1s, which I like. So it's definitely on my watchlist. I'm not saying I'm a huge Sui bull. There's L1s I prefer more. The L1 right in front of you on your screen, Solana. I probably prefer more as well from an investment point of view. But Sui, I don't know, it doesn't have that baggage of having a bunch of bag holders. And I think it could be a strong performer next cycle. But I don't own any more so a trade for me this week. But keeping my eye definitely on the fundamentals there because it is showing some strength. And we got to pay attention to the metrics. And I do think they're going about things the right way despite them probably stuffing up or at least in the eyes of the public stuffing up on that airdrop play. So now let's go into Solana. Also some interesting stuff happening at Solana, namely the fact that NFT volume over the past couple of days has shown a massive uptick, 17 % uptick over the last 24 hours. Lots of NFTs are starting to be transacted on Sol. Network activity still fairly solid. And yeah, just starting to see a few people talking about it on Twitter. It makes my watchlist this week more from a spot accumulation point of view. Because if we look at the chart here, we are on crucial support. I am pretty wary though of like a fake push into the 22 region and a rejection around this 200 MA. So I would love to see how it responds here. What I would like to see is a thrust up, some sort of pull back into this region and then a flip of this 22 region here. And if it can do this successfully, I would be very interested in a large position at 22 hoping for this next leg up to the 27 zone. That would be a sign of strength for me. Although if it kind of does something like this and starts to break down, then yeah, we definitely have a chance of breaking through this $20 zone. So for me, this is based on price action. If this shows a strong push up, I'll be happy to maybe buy into a bit of positive price action. If it starts to break down, that's fine. I'll look to add spot a little bit lower because this is a spot bag that I'm accumulating. And as I said on my Sunday research show, Sol is one that I'm pretty confident in terms of like a speculative alt L1 better. I like the differentiation it has, the market differentiation, having its own ecosystem, having its own community, not being an EVM chain, having a pretty unique value prop for developers, being a high throughput chain and being known as a high throughput chain, I think puts it in good stead as kind of like a bet against the EVM ecosystem because we have a lot of bets in the EVM ecosystem. It's nice to have a bit of diversification. That's where Sol really comes in and balances my portfolio nicely. So I like it for that reason. Blur is one I'm watching this week. Very interesting. This is an NFT marketplace. As I mentioned before, NFT volumes are up pretty much across the board. And we can also see that some of the major large cap NFTs, although basically bleeding for the last year, have also had a slight uptick. You can see in the bottom right corner here. So does that mean I'm buying Blur? Does that mean I'm bullish? Well, we can see it broke above its 200 MA on the alley. We could see it's making a bull flag as we speak, starting to break down below. So, you know, just keep your eye on this, whether it comes back in. Overall price action, pretty positive versus the rest of the market. So you could assert Blur is really bullish. Am I longing? The answer is no, I'm actually shorting. Wait, you might be like, what the hell? You're shorting? This is a bullish chart? Mars, are you an idiot? What are you doing? Well, I'll tell you why. I'm not shorting yet, but I've got a feeling that an announcement's coming. Now, I could be wrong. Maybe there's not. But the way the price action is moving, like with that thrust to the upside, with a significant increase in volume, typically that's something we see when like insiders start positioning themselves for some sort of announcement or some sort of trade. So for me, if this goes high enough, considering there's a crap ton of unlocks on Blur and it's generally just not like the strongest narrative, if this thrust higher, I would be very interested in shorting. I don't know where exactly, maybe it's 24 cents, maybe it's 25 cents. But the short, I think, becomes a decent play. Like there's kind of this meta in the market at the moment, which is just like shorting alts, which have significant unlocks and just like betting on the shorts every time they pump. And to be honest, that strategy has like worked out so well across the board, pretty much with every single altcoin. Blur is synonymous with that trade, given the fact that it has a lot of dilution coming onto the market and is also in a significant downtrend. As long as something is below its 200 MA on the daily and for Blur, you've got to use the lower timeframes because it hasn't been listed for that long and it hasn't had 200 days of price action. But yeah, considering it's still below this level on most of the timeframes, then it's still in a bearish trend. And for that reason, I'll look to short more than I long. So that's kind of what I'm doing there. Interesting little short, if there's some sort of announcement. I think that's invalidated if it's nothing and it's just a natural move. But if this is like a buy the rumor, sell the news event, then definitely I'll be selling the news. Next trend is another speculative one. So I'm pairing two speculative trends together. But why not? You know, we're in the business of speculating today, apparently. HashKey, which is Hong Kong's biggest crypto and first crypto retail exchange, officially launched Bitcoin and Ethereum deposits, which is pretty cool. But I am keeping a close eye on some of the like Chinese narrative tokens, Conflux and ACH in case there's a listing pump. Now, I don't know necessarily whether they're going to like favor Hong Kong tokens. Like I know CFX is like very highly traded in the Asia markets and it's kind of become synonymous with being like the Chinese coin. I don't know if that's going to put it in better stead to get a listing first before other coins. But I think people will speculate on that being the case just because it's like a Chinese coin. So definitely keeping my eye on CFX chart looks OK. ACH as well for a bit of diversification on that. Let's see if it gets a listing. But if you start to see murmurs of it, I think they can perform quite well. So I'm kind of just, yeah, it's a bit of a speculative trade, a bit of like a half -baked idea. But I thought I would mention it today just that I'm keeping my eye on some of these Chinese coins now that the Hong Kong exchanges have launched. You still got CFX below on the four -hourly. It's 200MA. And also on the hourly chart on the daily. It's also looking quite bearish. So this would mostly just be like a thrust play, like a swing trade up to like the $0 .15 zone, if we're lucky. ACH also similar. So wait for a reversal here before longing, of course, and just keep monitoring Twitter and seeing what's happening there. OK, we're getting into some juicy alts now. I have a couple plays which I haven't really talked about much before, but are like in my active portfolio. So I made some moves on these towards the end of last week. I actually bought some and yet made some active moves there. Before we get into that, I want to answer a question that a lot of you guys are asking in the comments because you guys know KyberSwap is an official partner of the show.

Do you have any current God stories that you would want to share with evangelism on fire nation? Man, I have a cool God story from today. All right. I had a meeting right before our podcast recording and my meeting was at Panera Bread. And when I was meeting, I had someone come up to me that I had been praying for recently for a couple months. You know, I know a family member of hers and she asked me to pray for her and her family praying for all of her family, for those who may not be saved, those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their savior. So I've been praying for this individual for a couple, a couple of months and I haven't seen her since high school, Rick, and then she comes up the next table next to me where I'm having a meeting and she said, Hey Mark, is that you? And I look over and I said, Hey, what's going on? So I knew Rick, I knew right away that God answered my prayers. I knew that my mission was to share the gospel message with her. I shared the gospel message with her and another friend of mine who I haven't seen since high school, they were sitting together and I had the opportunity to share the gospel message with them. Turns out that both of them have given their life to Jesus. You know, they're born again believers. So we got the opportunity to just talk about how good God is. Oh, so that, that just happened today, Rick, that just happened today before the time of this recording, but let me tell you about something that happened yesterday. So I've been out evangelizing to, for the last two and a half weeks, I would say to multiple people and no one has been interested in hearing the gospel or knowing that I've had the opportunity to share the gospel with, have accepted Jesus as her savior. So I've been planting seeds, right? I've been planting seeds, but I'm telling you about two and a half weeks. No one out of all the individuals I spoke to share the gospel with has accepted Jesus as her savior. So I've been on this mission to persevere and not stop and to continue to share the gospel message with people, you know, and, and two, I find that one, that one person who's ready to receive Jesus as her savior and man, let me tell you something. There's a cool God story that happened yesterday. So I'm walking into a food lion and on the way in, I'm praying that God will connect me with someone who's ready to hear the gospel message and to receive Jesus as their savior. And as I'm walking in, you know, I'm praying this prayer because we, we know, Rick, that prayer is the secret sauce when it comes to anything relating to the Christian life. Right? Absolutely. Yeah. Right. Absolutely. And it's this power when you're evangelizing. So I'm calling on the Holy Spirit to lead me to that person as I'm walking into food lion and I see this girl walk in and man, I just got a sense, Rick, I got a sense that this was the person that I was supposed to witness to. So I went up to her and I asked her the big question. I said, Hey, I'm taking the, do you want to hear what I asked her? Absolutely. So this is what I asked her. This is how I broke the ice. This was how I decided to approach her. I went up to her and I said, Hey, I'm taking a poll. Would you like to give me a couple of minutes of your time so I can ask you a question about this poll I'm taking? And she said, sure. Yeah. Yeah. And I said, cool. I want to ask you the big question. She says, what is the big question? So I responded by asking her if she knows about God's amazing love for her and his plan for her eternal salvation, man, Rick, when I asked her that question, she was interested. I share the good news, you know, the gospel of Jesus Christ with her. She had a couple of questions and I answered the questions. She shared with me a period in her life that she had recently gone through that, which is painful times in her life where she wanted to give up, where she had no hope. And when she started hearing about God's amazing love and how he has died, Jesus has died for her to give her that free gift of salvation, she was just captivated when I was sharing the gospel with her. And she believed the gospel message, you know, and she accepted Jesus right in the middle of the aisle and food dying. I mean, Rick, this is like, this was a time where people were getting off of work and they're coming in there and they're shopping. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Right. This young lady named Phoebe, man, she had a bonus to listen to the gospel. She didn't care what anyone around her thought. She was so captivated by the love of God. She was captivated by the gospel message that she was just laser focused. She was undeterred by anyone around her and she wanted to hear the good news. And when she heard the good news, she believed the good news. And I had, you know, I had an opportunity to be the one that led her to Jesus in the middle of a food line, you know, a grocery store. How cool is that? That's awesome. Yeah. So that's a, that's a couple of God's stories that, you know, I want to share with you, but I'll think, I think the biggest God story happened recently, a couple of weeks ago, a young man by the name of Jamal Alfred, he's 18 years old. And remember, I guess it'd been like a month, month and a half ago, Richmond, Virginia, where we live RVA experienced its first mass shooting. Oh yeah. I remember that day. It was a tragic day in the news. Yeah. Just tragic. Right. And evangelism on fire nation. Here's what happened. There was a high school graduation that occurred in our city, a school called Huguenot High School. And after the graduation, people were coming out of the building and there was a mass shooting. Some students that just graduated from Huguenot High School got shot, killed. And there were some other injuries in the chaos of this mass shooting. So as I approached this young man, okay, I'm going to Walmart. I'm going there for one purpose. I'm going there to set some intentional time aside to go share the gospel. All right. One thing I love about the Holy Spirit, Rick, you know this man, but when the Holy Spirit, you could be anywhere, the Holy Spirit just puts on your heart to share the gospel message with someone on the spot unplanned, right? But I also am mindful and intentional on making time, intentional time, scheduling time, you know, putting it on my calendar to go out and share the gospel message with people. All right. This is one of those times. And I heard this guy pumping his music, man. He was in the parking lot, in his car, just pumping. I don't know what kind of sound system this guy had in his ride, but brother, let me tell you something. He was pumping. He was pumping. And then I'm listening to the music and I'm like, first I'm thinking like, man, this guy's cranking this music and it sounds so good. His system is awesome. But I started listening to the words and the rap music was talking about life. It was talking about purpose in your life. It's talking about finding who you are, what you were created for. And the words drew me in. So I looked at this young man and as I'm looking at him, I start to pray for him. As I'm praying for him, the Holy Spirit puts on my heart to go and speak to him. Okay. And I go up to him and I wanted to know, man, I wanted to know what that music meant to him. All right. This just wasn't a rap song for pure entertainment. This rap song, man, this rap was laying out some heavy duty, profound thoughts, right? Yeah. So I go up to him, Rick, and I'm like, Hey man, what's your name? You know? And he says, Jamal. And I asked him, I said, Hey, what does this music mean to you? And he started just really telling me, Hey, I'm really thinking about why I'm here. What is the purpose for my life? How did I get here? What's going to happen to me after I die? You know, and I'm thinking, I said, Jamal, you're, you're, you're thinking about some serious stuff. Not many people think about these things. Right. Right. And I asked him, I said, why are you thinking like this? I think there's something that has happened to you that has made you really start thinking deeply about these things. You know? And he told me, he said, yeah, man. He said, I, I went to, I just, I went to my high school graduation. I graduated from Huguenot high school after the graduation. You know, there was a mass shooting. I said, yeah, man. I heard about that on the news. And this is why he told me he was thinking so deep about his life. Not just about his life on earth, but what happens when he leaves this earth? So Rick, he asked me, Hey, I'm thinking about how did I get here? Number one, what my purpose is in this life that I'm living. Number two, and what happens to me after I die? Right. He's thinking about these things. And he goes on to tell me that when this shooting went on, he saw when the gunman took the gun out, when he started shooting people, that's going to be scary. And Rick, when he's telling me this, I'm looking on, just looking at the facial expressions and it's like, he's reliving this fear, you know? And he says, I said, well, what did you first do? And he, you know what he told me, he said, I hate to admit this, but I was so fearful that all I knew to do was to run away. He says, I started running and I started running faster. He said, then I tripped up and then he fell down. And he said, when he fell down, Rick, he's telling me that he could hear a bullet whiz by him. And he said that I know if I didn't fall down, I would have got shot and maybe even killed. And he said, he's been thinking that he's alive for a reason and that he's alive because he has a second chance. And he's trying to figure this out. He's trying to figure out what all this means, right? Oh yeah. And I said, man, I believe I know exactly what it means. And I started asking him, I said, do you think that you falling down could be the creator of the universe, God protecting you for this very moment for me to share with you the good news of Jesus Christ and how you come into relationship with God and how you accept Jesus as your savior so you can start a relationship with God and you can have eternity in heaven with God. And I said, do you believe that you're created in God's image? You're created to live for an eternity. He said, yes. And I went on to share the gospel message with him. He asked me some questions and I answered the questions for him and he believed the gospel message. And I think the most powerful thing that he believed was he believed that God loved him so much that God protected him by allowing him to trip up. He didn't get shot that he believed that God gave him a second chance. And he believed that Jesus is his savior, that Jesus died on the cross for his sins, demonstrated his love for him. And he believed the full gospel message. And I told him this, Rick, after I shared the gospel message with him, I said, you know what, you believe the gospel message, but before you receive Jesus Christ as your savior and the leader of your life, he's going to want you to repent, to turn away from your life as you're living it right now. And I have a question about that for our listeners that are non -relievers. Explain to them what repentance is, you know, and a couple of sentences if you can. Repentance is the number one great question. Repentance is this, to turn away from the life you're living right now and to live the life that God wants you to live and has created you to live. So I told Jamal, I said, look, before you make the decision to accept Christ, he wants, I said, he loves you so much that he gave his all for you, that he expects you to give your all to him. And this just isn't a prayer that you say. God wants you to accept him. Jesus wants you to accept him as your savior and leader. He wants you to repent from your life the way you want to live and live the life that he's created you to live. And I said, that's when you find true, the true meaning of life. And I said, before I lead you in this prayer, I said, are you willing to do that, Jamal? And his response to me, his answer to me was this. Yes, I know God has kept me alive to live my life for him. He has given me a second chance and I choose to repent from my way of life and to live the life that God has kept me alive to live. So that has been one of the most amazing God stories that I've experienced. And I'm so thankful that you're here co -hosting today because I'm trying to have Jamal come on to the show for him to share his God story of that event. He's introverted, right? Oh, yeah. And he's thinking about it. He's praying about it. And I'm hoping, you know, if it's God's will, he'll definitely be on. So I'm hoping that he'll come on to, you know, our podcast and he'll share not only that that, day you know, we met the day that he heard the gospel and, you know, when he made the decision to follow Jesus that day, but also, man, I would love for him to come on the podcast and just share more in detail with Evangelism on Fire Nation, the events of that day. I mean, man, I'm hoping that he'll come on and, you know, Evangelism on Fire Nation will get to hear his story of those events and what he was thinking, what he's been thinking ever since that mass shooting and just hear his story. And then also, man, I would love to hear how God has changed his life since that moment that we met and since that time that he accepted Jesus as a savior and his leader. That would be great. That would be awesome. So, you know, let's continue to pray about that. If it's God's will, Jamal will be here. Evangelism on Fire Nation. First of all, hey, Rick, I want to thank you for coming on and being our co -host today. Thank you for having me, Mark. You're welcome, brother. And thank you for giving me an opportunity to share my God stories. Evangelism on Fire Nation, keep Jamal in your prayers. Look, I believe God is going to do some great and mighty things with this man. He knows he has a second chance given to him by the one that created him. There's no more powerful revelation than that. So, Jamal, I'm thinking about you. Rick's thinking about you. Evangelism on Fire Nation is thinking about you and we're praying for you. And if you're listening to this, my brother, hit me up and let me know when you want to come on to share your amazing God story of when you accepted Jesus as your savior and the story of how you're overcoming that traumatic event at that mass shooting. And Rick, thanks again, man, for having me on today's episode and being our co -host. I appreciate you, brother. Thank you, Mark. I appreciate you. So as we close out today, what do you think is the best way for us to close out today's episode? You're the co -host, so... In prayer, just for those that are looking for a relationship with Jesus, a day of prayer, bringing him into their life. And I want Mark, as he usually does, to lead it. I think that's a great way to end it. For those out there right now, hey, I say this on most of our podcast episodes. This is a Christian podcast, but there's always people that are listening who have not accepted Jesus as your savior. There's always people out there who are getting ready to make that decision today at the moment of listening to this podcast episode. So if that's you out there and you know you haven't accepted Jesus Christ as your savior and you know that there's just something missing in your life, you know that there's a void that cannot be filled. And you're listening right now. You're listening to the story of Jamal. You're listening to the story of Phoebe. You're listening to the story of my friend that I met, my friends that I met today at Panera Bread that I haven't seen since high school. You're hearing this story and you're thinking to yourself, I have not made that decision. I am thinking about making that decision. But how does that work? Well, how that works is if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is your Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you'll be saved. So if you believe that right now and you're thinking, I want to be in a relationship with God, I want to accept Jesus as my savior and my leader. I want to have God transform my life into the life that he has created me to live. Man, now is your time. Right now is the day of your salvation. So if you want to make that decision, just repeat this prayer after me. Lord Jesus, forgive me of all my sins. Come into my heart. Take over my life. I receive you as my savior. Take all of me. I repent from my way of life. Not choose to live the life that you created me to live. I receive you and your free gift of salvation. And I thank you for saving my soul. I thank you for raising from the dead on the third day, coming back to life, proving that you are God, the one and only true living God. I thank you, Jesus, for saving my soul. Amen. And look, Rick and I, we congratulate you on making the biggest and the best decision of your entire life. This is what I want you to do next. Go to evangelismonfire .com. The Charlie Kirk Show
A Father's Fight With Harrison Tinsley
"One of the more disturbing trends happening in America is how the courts are either neutral, indifferent, or against reality when it comes to this gender stuff happening in our country. This is a very chilling story. Joining us now is Harrison Tinsley. Harrison, welcome to the program. Thanks for having me, Charlie. So your story is really striking. You have a three and a half year old son. Correct. Born as a biological male. Correct. Your former partner, ex -girlfriend, wants to raise him as non -binary. Is that correct? To the best of my knowledge, yes. And it has started this massive court battle. Tell us about it. Well, so it starts a few years back. I met a girl in the Bay Area. We started dating, we fell in love. We never agreed politically. I always thought, you know, that was something we could get past and just agree to disagree on some things. Unfortunately, the country's become so polarized. I'm not sure you can do that anymore. But shortly into us dating, she became pregnant. And we were both very happy about that, thankfully. And we basically, she suffered with some mental illness problems, like borderline personality disorder. It's like, it's pretty serious. And it was just super up and down relationship. And as her pregnancy went on, she was constantly threatening me that I wouldn't see my son if I wasn't exactly who she wanted me to be, particularly politically. And she would bring up things like, oh, what if our kid's transgender? Why aren't you at the woman's March? Things like that. And it got to a point where she sent me a cease and desist letter. It's about halfway through her pregnancy. So I respected it. And I didn't find out my son was born. I found out about one week after he was born from social media. And it was two months after that I filed in court. It took 13 more. And this is right during COVID. And so I met my son finally when he was 15 months old, even though I was aware the whole time. And then there was this idea of the gender confusion, right? So tell us about that. So it goes on a little bit. I moved to the Bay when half custody, then it's right around the time I went half custody. It's a little bit before he's two years old that she starts, or at least to my knowledge, seeing pictures and stuff, calling him a day, putting dresses on him, makeup on him. There was a time she took him to Disneyland. And my son told me a couple months later, he's like data. When I went to Disneyland, I couldn't go on the rides unless I wore my princess shoes. I didn't want to wear my princess shoes. I wanted to wear boy shoes. I was super heartbreaking, just as one example of the things my son tells me. And so that happens. There's a lot of defamation of me on social media, et cetera. At the same time, I get granted a restraining order on a temporary basis. It's violated. Bring all of this to trial. Get granted a trial by the court, because his mom was also arrested for child endangerment and placed on a 5150 hold while he was in her custody. She ended up getting let off the charges, but she was charged originally. And so I get granted a five -day trial, which is a super long time in family court. Usually you get a lot, you get like 30 minutes. And so we have the trial. I'm super confident about it. There's witnesses, 850 pages of evidence on my side, almost nothing on the other side. And I'm super confident about it. After the trial, about two months later, I get a decision from the court. They decide they're going to keep custody the same. They won't rule on gender. And my son had to continue to see the doctor that the mom preferred. And the doctor was open to the trans thing, right? Yeah. The doctor admitted on the witness stand that she transitions kids as young as 12 at her clinic and that a place down the street does it to kids as young as six.

The Breakdown
A highlight from Markets Shrug Off Predictable Powell at Jackson Hole
"Welcome back to The Breakdown with me, N .L .W. It's a daily podcast on macro, Bitcoin and the big picture power shifts remaking our world. What's going on, guys? It is Friday, August 25th, and today we are doing a macro roundup. Before we get into that, if you are enjoying The Breakdown, please go subscribe to it, give it a rating, give it a review, or if you want to dive deeper into the conversation, come join us on the Breakers Discord. You can find a link in the show notes or go to bit .ly slash breakdown pod. Well, friends, today, the big thing, of course, is Jackson Hole and Powell's speech therein. And so I thought it would be good to put that in a wrapper of the stories that have been going on around and outside of the industry, things that have been impacting traditional markets to put that news of what Powell said in its proper context. And for that, I want to start with a story that those of you who have been listening to the AI Breakdown will be quite familiar with. That is, of course, Nvidia. Nvidia absolutely blew earnings out of the water after the market closed on Wednesday. Their Q2 net income came in at a staggering 6 .7 billion, which was a 422 % increase from the same quarter last year. Sales growth shot up by 171 % on an annualized basis to reach 13 .51 billion. Profit came in at 270 per share. Now, compared to analysts' estimates, those figures represented a 30 % beat on profits per share and a 22 % beat on sales. That is massive, especially considering how much hype and anticipation Nvidia had going into this. Now, overnight on Wednesday, shares rocketed up over 6 % and hit a high point of $517 per share. That pushed the stock up more than 220 % on the year. The company also announced the approval of a ridiculously large $25 billion in buybacks, representing a little over 2 % of the total market cap at current prices. Now, this is the second quarter in a row with blowout earnings for Nvidia. Q1 sales came in at 10 .3 billion, outperforming analysts' estimates by almost 30 % again. During their Q1 report, Nvidia had guided 11 billion in revenue for Q2, which was an estimate that exceeded analysts' forecasts by over 50%. And it turns out even that was far too conservative. Now, of course, Nvidia's success has been coupled to the rise of AI. The firm's H100 GPU is the top of the line in AI computing, and it's not particularly close. Individual units range in price between $25 ,000 and $30 ,000 with a volume discount, but that isn't even really the highest end product being demanded by the world's largest tech firms. That distinction goes to the HGX box, which is essentially eight H100s assembled into a single unit of raw AI computing power. Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang said of the product line, We call it H100 as if it's a chip that comes off of a fab, but H100s go out really as HGX to the HGX unit's require a supply chain of 35 ,000 parts to put together and are sold at the lofty price tag of $299 ,999 per unit. And even at that price, Nvidia are struggling to keep up. Huang said, We're not shipping close to demand. Now, in a lot of ways, there really has not been anything like this phenomenon in recent memory. Nvidia has built their firm around the transition away from GPUs as just being used for graphics processing and video games to focus on more generalized use cases for that style of chip architecture. That transition started many years ago. For example, in 2012, researchers used Nvidia chips to achieve previously unheard of image recognition. Since then, the firm began working alongside AI researchers to optimize their chips for the tasks demanded by high -end AI models. They took on an explicit AI focus starting around 2017. That process of iteration has led to Nvidia being the singular leader in AI chips with a wide gap between them and their nearest competitor. During a recent interview, Huang said, This type of computing doesn't allow for you to just build a chip and customers use it. You've got to build the whole data center. And indeed, the customers seem perfectly willing to spend the high -end dollars for premium performance. One high -profile startup, for example Inflection AI, recently raised $1 .3 billion in funding to finance the purchase of 22 ,000 H100 chips. Mustafa Suleiman, the CEO at Inflection and previous co -founder at Google DeepMind, said that none of Nvidia's competitors could offer a comparable solution. Huang broke down the math of his company's product offering like this. He said, If you can reduce the time of training to half on a $5 billion data center, the savings is more than the cost of all the chips. We are the lowest cost solution in the world. This year, Meta has committed to spending $30 billion on data centers, with much of that capital likely to be spent with Nvidia as just one example. Now, Huang was not at all bashful on this week's earnings call, stating that a new computing era has begun. Many others agreed with him. Dan Ives from Wedbush called it a 1995 internet moment and said it was the guidance heard around the world. Indeed, so far this year, the market has been responding as if a paradigm -shifting technology change is underway. Nvidia is by far the best performer in the S &P 500, and alongside Nvidia, six other big tech firms have been benefiting from the AI enthusiasm as well. This includes Meta, Amazon, Apple, Alphabet, which is Google, Microsoft, and Tesla. Together, this group, which has now become known as the Magnificent Seven, have outperformed the S &P 500 over the past year. Historically speaking, this narrow range of market breadth is typically only seen in the wake of a massive market downturn, and even then only briefly. The only really comparable era of the last decade when market breadth had maintained such a lopsided slate for so long was in the second half of 2020. During that period, both Etsy and Tesla were added to returns respectively. The rest of the top performers that year were rounded out by L Brands, PayPal, and of course, Nvidia. As another comparison point, so far this year, the median S &P 500 company is up only 2 .34 % compared to the 16 % returns for the overall index. What's more, 228 companies in the index have seen their share price decline year to date. Now, the high -flying Nasdaq 100 index is a little bit more evenly spread. The index saw the best first half returns in its 52 -year history this year, notching up a 30 % gain. 32 firms are outperforming the index this year so far, while the bottom quarter declined in price. Now, these periods of narrow returns don't typically precede a major market correction. However, this situation is somewhat unique. It's rare that multiple companies across a leading sector are so reliant on a single company to supply a critical component. But that's a situation we find ourselves in right now. Now, part of why this matters, of course, is that, as you just heard numbers around, AI has effectively been keeping markets afloat this year. One of the most dramatic moments of this was during the battle around the US debt ceiling. This is a time that the market should have been, by all accounts, incredibly nervous, significantly wobbly. I mean, hell, we had our debt downgraded when all was said and done. But it couldn't beat out Nvidia and AI enthusiasm. Now, that wasn't exactly the case yesterday. A lot of the reporting on Thursday was about how concerns over what Jerome Powell would say at Jackson Hole on Friday were tamping down any particular bump from that Nvidia earnings beat. You'll remember that the annual Jackson Hole Symposium is a big central bankers event that focuses on the long term of monetary policy. It's a chance for the Fed to signal where things are going more than just in the next couple months. At least that's what it's historically been. Last year, it was notable because at the last minute, Powell decided to rip up his speech and give a terse eight minute diatribe that basically said that markets were getting way out ahead of themselves, effectively ending a late summer rally. Powell said at the time in no uncertain terms that the inflation fight was not over and stated explicitly that, quote, there will be pain. Now, coming into this, Adam Posen, president of the Peterson Institute for International Economics, said there's no way Powell's speech can be that tight and clear this time because the economic outlook is genuinely more uncertain. Central bank decision making in some sense is easier when you have policy wrong and you have a long way to go to where you should be. It's more difficult when you have to sort through being close to the right policy, but not sure you're there and that's where the Fed is now. And so a year later, the inflation fight is still underway and it was anticipated that Powell would use his appearance to reinforce the Fed's commitment to finishing the job. Up until now, the policy choices have frankly been somewhat obvious. Continue raising interest rates until inflation cools or something breaks. And even when something breaks, try to fix it without changing interest rate policy and see if that works. However, with inflation now moderating to its lowest level in almost two years, there is a lot more potential for disagreement among FOMC members. Powell was expected to give his views on whether rates should continue to go higher into the end of the year, as well as to sketch out how the Fed would determine when the time would come for rate cuts. Forecasts from Fed members have generally called for rates to be held higher for longer, but with pressure on the banking sector, it's unclear whether policymakers would be on board with sticking to that strategy. Now, as well as the rumors of dissent among FOMC members, the economic establishment is beginning to question whether the inflation fight is even worth taking all the way to its conclusion. Responding to a Wall Street Journal article published on Monday, Paul Krugman tweeted, I agree with Jason Furman's call for a 3 % inflation target. The rationale for 2 % has been overtaken by a couple decades of experience. So if you think 3 % is the right target, shouldn't we be declaring victory? Or to put it a different way, if 2 % was a mistake, how many people should lose their jobs for a mistake? Now, Yuga Kohler, senior staff engineer at Coinbase, captured much of the sentiment in the crypto space when they wrote, the difference between a 2 % and a 3 % inflation rate over the course of 75 years is literally 100%. Raising the target is a sleight of hand to inflate away national debt. Stephen Geiger, an economics commentator and Paul Volcker fan, said, or, and stick with me here, we keep it at 2 % and the Fed and federal government can just do their job. So what did we actually get? Well, in this case, it was much what we expected. Bloomberg's headline reads, Powell signals Fed will raise rates if needed, keep them high. The Wall Street Journal writes, Powell, Fed will proceed carefully on any rate rises. And as per Bloomberg, the key takeaways were that 1. Powell acknowledged that the economic backdrop is better than it was a year ago, but he said that the Fed stands ready and willing to raise interest rates further if they need to. 2. He continued to focus that everything going forward will be data driven, but he did not put the possibility of cuts on the agenda, saying based on this assessment, we will proceed carefully as we decide whether to tighten further or instead to hold the policy rate constant and await further data. Third, Bloomberg says the comments are consistent with expectations that the Fed will leave interest rates unchanged at the next meeting with the possibility of another rate hike later in the year. Fourth, Powell acknowledged that interest rates are now high enough to be restrictive, meaning that they are weighing down on growth and inflation. And finally, Powell said 2 % is and will remain our inflation target, throwing some damp water on that part of the conversation. Nick Timiros from the Wall Street Journal, widely viewed as the Fed whisperer, called it a risk management speech. He quoted Powell as saying, given how far we have come at upcoming meetings, we are in a position to proceed carefully. The Kobayisi letter pointed out some data from bond traders around what their predictions are. They write, odds of a 25 basis point rate hike in September more than doubled, 21 .5 % after Powell's speech. Odds of an additional rate hike this year just hit a two -month high of 52 .1%. Rate cuts are now not expected to begin until June 2024. Doug Bonaparte hit it out of the park again with another great headline. Breaking! Stocks fall as Fed Chair Powell signals he's willing to destroy the economy. But in point of fact, stocks are actually leveling out and even going up slightly, based I think on expectations being met. So all in all, a much less dramatic speech than last year, and frankly just a real continuation of what we've gotten from Powell for the last two years. Blockworks Jack Farley wrote, Powell chooses to close his speech with Paul Volcker's phrase, we'll keep at it for the second year in a row. And that is pretty much the story. Now the last interesting thing that I wanted to point out for this week just by way of closing is that the three -day BRICS summit came to a close on Thursday in South Africa with news that six new members would join the loose economic bloc. Argentina, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates have committed to join in January. This adds to Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa — there's BRICS — bringing the ranks of membership up to 11. President Xi Jinping called the expansion historic and said it would be a new starting point for BRICS cooperation. Still, while the addition of new nations to the Economic Cooperation Group does add strength, the announcement falls far short of the hype that we had seen coming into it. There had been rampant speculation this year that the group would unveil a common trade currency backed by gold, which frankly rumors of a BRICS currency have been persistent for over a decade but have so far never materialized. So all in all, the world continues to be interesting but doesn't look all that different than it did heading into the week. AI is up, inflation is down, interest rates are flat, but maybe up. And so, as so often has been the case for the last few months, the best thing to do is go touch grass. Until next time, be safe and take care of each other.

"At valley works. I hear value works. I think value stocks. Should I associate you with value stocks? Or is that not necessarily your deal? Today in the place value works, so I do believe I'm a value investor, but we find value in a lot of different places. And one thing that I've always shied away from is believing value is the bottom half of the valuation continuum. It's when you care about price and you're getting a good business at a good price at a discount to what it's worth today. That's value. And there are a lot of classic growth stocks today that are trading at value prices. Name some names. The longest favorite for us is Qualcomm, another one that we love right now is Netflix. Those are two obviously classically growth stocks. Both of them are trading at very, very realistic value prices. That is so interesting. You know, Netflix is one of the dark horses recently. It's had a huge rally over the past couple months. After being one of the worst performers in the first half of the year. So even so, it's still nowhere close to where it was at the beginning of the year. What do you, what's your read on this new advertising tier of subscriptions that it's offering? Well, you know, I even take a step back from investors reaction to that advertising tier. And think about how much people judge the stock being expensive or cheap relative to yesterday's prices. The fact that it's down from 600 to 300 are up to 302 hundred doesn't tell you about the size of its business or its earnings and where the share price is relative to that. And so what I think is really interesting about Netflix is that even up from 200 to 300, the multiple on earnings the multiple on cash flow is

"I wanted to bring on Delia because this week's episode. First of all, I mean, I just was talking to someone, but this week's episode especially I had to have someone to kind of dissect this with me because it is wild. But before that, I actually have a special message from someone that you all have been missing. Hi, cranky. It's spread. I just wanted to hop on here and say thank you for all of the love that you've shown me in these past couple months. It is truly proven to me that there is no community like the crime junkie community. You all are amazing. I'm feeling better. I'm healing. I'm not quite sure what I'm going to be ready to jump back into everything yet, but I mean you guys know how important it is to mean Ashley that these stories get out there every week. So again, thank you so much for supporting me and supporting the show while I've been focusing on getting stronger and getting healthy. Again, thank you so much and I love you guys. Keep sending Brit your well wishes everyone. Again, we're going to give her all the time she needs to heal the last thing we want to do is rush her back. But I echo what she said. Thank you all for the support while she has been out. Thank you for continuing to listen to the show. I know the episodes have just been a little bit different. The work we're still doing is so important though. But this is why I'm so excited to have Delia on today because this case is a doozy. It's a story about a teenage girl who got into a van in 1986 and was never seen again. Now, more than 35 years later, police are taking another look at her case, hoping to give her mother some long awaited answers and justice. This is the story of Susan Robin bender. "But, um, nonetheless, for people that do prolifically used the social media platform and want to be able to stay connected without the separation of having to carry around of a phone, or, uh, look around different devices. It is definitely a interesting step into The incorporation of digital eyewear technology. So, uh, of course, uh, definitely definitely impressive. That That there That the integration on this product is definitely more more seamless and also more fashionable. Compared to most so, of course we wish Facebook good luck with the upcoming release. And hopefully that people will find the satisfactory and potentially the technology might potentially evolved. I mean, who knows you might be able to control what's on the screen just by looking at it with your eyes or with a gesture for something. Could be a new just You haven't seen facial recognition being used for computer log, and so who knows? You might be able to control your device and do conversations without even having to use your hands. Just be pretty pretty interesting. Our next big topic of the day has to do with the epic games versus Apple soup. When epic had been banned from Apple's APP store for wanting to include their own in APP payment options has been a long running case now for the past couple months, where epic it accused apple of anti competitive behavior. And in a way both sides one and away. Both sides lost. So the ruling determined that so while Apple had not committed an antitrust violation as still free to continue banning at pick if they desire The court has ordered that Apple is now required to open up their APP stores ecosystem to allow developers to accept outside payment options. Separate from Apple's payment system, so potentially giving an added level of freedom for developers of software products to be able to facilitate their own in app purchases or feature products. Without having to pay apples. 30% commission epic, of course, is playing to appeal the part of the ruling that, uh, determined that their behavior was not anti competitive. Because he used to say the verdict, as it stands right now still would keep them from a major part of the market based on Apple's banning them, and also actually currently requires them to still pay Apple. Millions of dollars in this judgment, So, um, to an extent, it's over to an extent, not over and then in the end of for independent developers Definitely proving to potentially be a major win. For them are third big topic WhatsApp the end to end encryption messaging service that had been of course bought by Facebook. Well on their website, it says what's up has no ability to see the contents of messages or listen to cause that are end to end encrypted. Makes it sound pretty secure. And so you realize that there actually is a means that Facebook moderators are actually able to potentially view your messages, and it basically comes out of their content reporting feature. Which let's say You're in a private conversation with somebody. You don't like what they sent you. You can actually hit the report button, and it sends a copy of the conversation to Facebook's moderators for them to decide what they want to do in regards to Uh, the users access on the platform. So of course, uh, that sound now that people have realized that what that feature actually does. And of course, leaves security concerns in regards to killed Facebook be potentially able to incorporate a system where It can potentially siphon off this message is automatically or without user's knowledge and basically just showing that the private messaging platform May not really be as private as it may appear. And, of course, as we know many times how appearances especially with the handling of personal user data can be rather deceiving. But positive development from Apple. The concern about Content sniffers in their next operating system has been belaid as they have announced that there are no longer going to, uh implements. It. The media future plans for that content. Uh, the automatic content sniffing as it relates to use our images. So lot of privacy advocates are definitely calling that big win, especially since Apple has always advertised itself as a pioneer in the preservation of user privacy. So, of course. That will wrap up our big three things in tech. But of course, we've got to get to our big three things in news. And of course, we.

"Followed by tampa and orlando followed by columbus and liberty township ohio. So if you're interested in any of that is going to be all across the summer. Just little little one off shows and i would love free to come because i'm very excited to talk about different things and ordering all the bits right now and i'm trying to figure out a creative way to order it. I think i talked about this last time. A bit bit. I'm trying to do like a. I'm trying to diagram like almost like a spiral. So it's it'll start almost in the middle and then it'll kind of spiral out but anyway we'll get into that guy on a video that that's not relevant to what we're talking about the identified patient. Okay yes this is a great subject and a few things to say but you are the one who came up with us. So have you been doing some work in this idea or just reading it by that or read about it. Yeah my my therapist brought it up. We were talking about really. We weren't even talking about family dynamics. We were talking about. How family dynamics can extend into also work environment and collaborative environments which would include in my particular case valley folk Which is where. I've i've spent a lotta time over the past four years and i don't want to get into the details of it but it was the thought process that led me to kind of be very curious about this subject and my therapist was like this is something you should talk about on the fundamentalist and i was like we usually don't take cast gestures from fans that is. Don't worry i'm not a fan That's not going to happen But yes so. This is for those of you who don't know you want me to dive into a priest. Equal for all right folks. I'm going to do what i do. Best when it comes to things. I want to pretend like i know talking about which is read from the wikipedia page. So here we go identified patient. Clinical term often heard in family therapy discussion. It describes one family member in a dysfunctional family who expresses the families authentic inner conflicts. Usually the quote designated patient expresses their physical symptoms unconsciously unaware. They are making overt dysfunctional family. Dynamics that have been covert and which no one can talk about at home. Occasionally the identified patient is hardly conscious of why and how they have become the focus of concern in the family system so the example i heard was you imagine your therapist. Some parents come in their daughter is a let's say anorexic and so they sit down and through the course of therapy they realize it's really not the daughter who is the problem. The daughters actually manifesting. What's going on with With the parents who have created an environment of lack of communication or whatever it's built up now it's manifesting in assessment of so as a family systems dynamic the overt symptoms of identified patient. Draw attention away from the elephants in the room. No one can talk about which needs to be discussed such as a pending separation or divorce. If covert abuse occurs between family members. The overt symptoms can draw attention. Away from the perpetrators are at the identified. Patient is a kind of diversion and a kind of scapegoat. Love that term often a child. This is the split off false carrier of a breakdown in the entire family system which can be a trans generational disturbance or trauma now. This leads us to criticism of the idea identified patient. Which is my favorite tab on the wikipedia. A every week of pedia page either says this is how we should do all future fundamentalist. Podcasts which is an hour of me just clicking which is basically what this is because i did go down wikipedia worm hole on this. But it's almost done so extending the original concept of the identified patient the anti psychiatry movement went on which is a fun term the anti psychiatry movement. I feel like i might be a part of that. I didn't even know. Anti psychiatry movement. Went on to argue. It is the family who is chiefly mad rather than the individual family identifies as sick positing also that the latter infect the least disturbed member of the family nexus. Now i agree with that. I don't need criticism just sounds more like something. I agree now. Just bring them back full. Circle spiral karl yune who viewed individual neurosis often derived from whole family. Social groups considered himself a case. In point corsi did little narcissists. I feel very strongly under the influence of things or questions left. Incomplete unanswered by my parents and grandparents and more distant ancestors and impersonal karma within a family which is passed on from parents to children. Now this brings me last but not least to one of my favorite carleen quotes which is excuse me. I have to hear it is the greatest burden a child must bear is the lived life of its parents. I just like that phrase lot and it reminded me of. There's no particular reason now. I also don't think of this too much in terms of my own family systems currently. But i also think what would you. Are you writing things now. I was trying to every pan. I lift up isn't working so it just sounds like scribblings. Sounds like you're roche ously writing. This is inspired. Lots of thoughts. Keep going well. That's where i'm at right now. I've been over the past couple months thinking about it in terms of re conceptualizing. Some of the things. I've experienced in my professional life and it definitely lines up with this. There's been times where. I've seen what i believe to be. The problem of a situation realized later it was the identified patient that was actually a manifestation of global internal conflict. That did not get resolved when the focus was primarily on the identified patient. And that's going to be as vague can be specific as i get on that front but we could revisit it later depending on on how we feel. But that's more of a conversation for us when we're in person together than it is when we're remote. So what are your thoughts popping up here. What do you think. Yeah no so i love. Yeah the first thing. I wanted to get him. Talk about is high. This actually has a much more correct view of what human beings are so we tanta think that human beings are individuals that i am in my head. You're in your head and we interact in the public world and we think of when you're born you kind of jump into the public world's who you start off as an individual and then you go into the public world but the truth is more the other way around that we are public. I you know we. We kind of are colonized by language. The before we can even speak all of these words are being spoken around us. Our parents our siblings. All of these people are speaking on. We learn to speak for colonized by these words so before. We even speak them. We are spoken by them. And so actually it takes years before we kind of like become an individual out begin to get a sense of self so technically we are so much more intertwined with our environment on with our families than we may otherwise. Think i knew some people who have had this problem with one of their children. Their chil- child is suffering from various things on what they've done is they've sat the child to variety of doctors. They they talk about basically. Hi dr there's a problem with debris and then if they kind of can resolve this problem it's going to be fixed on basically aren't asking the question whether the child's issues are actually a manifestation of a problem within the family in other words the symptoms are not the problem there the solution to a problem within the family. So yeah. so that's that's the as the symptoms are just the the check engine light and you can't you turn off. the check. Engine is going to have a little broken engine. If you're not careful. Which reminds me of. I just got my car fixed. I tell you this no no. Your car's always kind of planned up in some way. I'm kinda crazy. Yeah attitude and i think a lot of it was i just. Didn't i take it anywhere. That knew what they were doing. And now it works. It's been great. It's back to like. I love it. I like love driving it. It's wonderful. i've evolve for anybody who gives a crap We'll volvo suv. And i do love it for all of her idiosyncrasies in oliver problems but when i brought it in they were like what what what do you got going on and i was like Just haven't been driving it for a really long time because you know it's been the pandemic and i just haven't been sitting a and the check engine lights on and then also this is going on. I think this isn't working and this is a working and it goes all right. Let me get in and see kind of what what's going on. Super nice guy gets in. He gets out of the car okay and he looks at me he goes..

"Tv show like how i feel about tv. Show is basically the same as how i feel about. This book is done every well. I like it but the outright racism and sexism leave me with a very bad taste in my mouth kind of angry at as well so order i find it odd to read from that student. Because yeah i get kind of angry unlike. We'll of course no wonder she. I'm assuming she may have committed suicide drug but kind of looking that way currently. Yeah because your parents just good people but they just don't understand so just like frustrated the whole time just through the thing and then like making all these terrible choices are what are you doing it. Just yeah it's quite painful to read in some ways so good book but beware. That has some hod key issues in right noted and i know it sounds like given the ending away actually had not listened to the whole book so i have no idea. I could be completely wrong. That it's not spoiler. This is your current opinion at whatever. Point the book that you have. Yes based on the events that i have so far might be like the half way through it okay. So that's my current opinion. What book have you been reading so this month. I've been reading a historical fiction book again called. The king must die by mary renault so for the past couple months i've been trying to read within the genre of historical fiction specifically sit in ancient greece. So i sit out to find the top ones on good reads. I think this was ranked number three or four. I can't quite remember you know as it was written in nineteen fifty eight. So it's not really a new book and lenny read. It is a buildings. Roman i'm just gonna say it like that because i don't know how to it which bill buildings roman anyways follows basically. It's a book that follows a character from his youth to adulthood and it says coming of age story. That's the fancy word for that follows. The adventures of the mythical king and found essence has night. Mistakes starts with his childhood in troyes on and move sir his life fighting the she's removed the magical passer monsters and putting quotation marks All of the huddles in his path and eventually apparently he arrives in essence. I assume given that's where he ends up in the myth. I haven't gotten quite that fi. I've not all the way through. So i'm kind of on the fence about the spoke as i have been with a lot of books recently and is very very well written. I read it. And i'm like i can't even write sentences like that like it's really really good at stiffly more of a literary style as well. I really struggling through it. I don't know if it's a symptom of the genre. Because most of the ancient greece books have tried to read recently. I've had a similar problem with where this just so much. Detail that so intricately described in the book. The i struggle to wade through it all. Yeah they indulge themselves in the detail of the world. And i'm like oh my gosh okay i get it. Can we please move on and not have. It's it's interesting but it starts with. I think the fest twelve pages are sacrifice. Very toutes you can imagine this. And i'm like you clearly recess this very thoroughly but you've sacrificed a horse as the gist of these ten pages..

They're professional musicians, and some of them are just kind of part timers playing on the weekend gigs for full time job the rest of the time. How's it been for you, Uh, during during the pandemic, because with no venues to play out, it's got to be a bit a bit of the challenge. Yeah, There was definitely tough, huh? So little both now I don't want to throw you under the bus here are getting in trouble, Anybody But do you have a preference is to whether it's just you or do you like him of the band behind you? I like the band like the band If I get to choose now, you got to do a lot more stuff. But you you I mean, your your guy Whose? Whose talent you sing, You play guitar. You You played keyboards. So you you're kind of in the middle of all of this. When you put your songs together when you get in the studio, how much influence do you have? When it comes to producing it? Do you pretty well rely on your producer and you guys kind of talk it over. Yeah, We, um I guess I co produced most of my albums. Kevin Sellers is a friend of mine of main producer Out of Mary Outta here. He's at the Vault Reporting Lounge, which is close to Marietta Square. He Helps produce along with the band guys, So we kind of piece it together and Yeah, I guess I'll bring the songs that I write to the band and to the studio and they kind of helped him coming. Arrange that kind of thing. Um, so, yeah, it Z kind of. This is still a team effort, though. It's gonna be nice to have that kind of energy. When you get the studio and do that, and take something that you You kind of wrote it home and been rolling around your head and then able to put it out there and see what it becomes. Oh, yeah, man for sure. When the When the magic happens When it all comes together, they're so which do you prefer recording or performing life? Mm. That's a tough one e like you both For sure. There's nothing like a good live show. I've I've been missing it missing him like Lot about it. The movie auditions and other people out there. I would say I would think live recording studios a lot of fun because you do a lot of different things, but I don't think live getting that instant feedback on your music and getting the crowd involved to me that that's where the energy is. Definitely. Yeah, There's there's nothing like a lot of show it, Z. Different, different back then in the studio for sure. Well, we're gonna get a chance to see and hear Cody coming up on Wednesday. We hope the weather cooperates for Blue Sky concert. We need some blue sky in our lives physically and metaphorically speaking there, we could use a little of that. And I got great stuff. I did that one time and you know but everybody start somewhere. But that was kind of how i got into a. I grew happenstance. You weren't going around with nobody's saying look your cost of. Oh she wants to cost now. Would that cheap outfit. Where'd you get your costs. Play the dollar general goodwill you know. It's just lucky that like no one was like remains. A everyone is pretty nice but I think it's because within the field of play and like the community. Everybody has felt so. Like i don't know i feel like most people you have felt kinda outta play in some other place so keep all. That costs tend to be pretty kind about it. You do have of course like any like a fan down more hobby you have people that are like purists of like you know oh it has to be perfect and you know if it's not perfect how like you know. Why do you didn't bother but you know it's it's supposed to be funny if you're not half having while while doing it things don't do it. I would figure that and you saw long. Have you been going yukons prior to the pandemic like. How much have you been able experience before you had this all taken away eight pandemic. It was like six or seven years seven years. I think so. Yeah it's been a while now. And that was that changed for you over the years from were you just started to right before kurbanov. Wow it's definitely like progress. And i think that's been anything that you do. If you enjoy an you do enough you'll get better at it. And i definitely feel like i'm a lot more confident when i you can. I don't feel scared of taking on bigger projects. Like i might have been at the beginning Because now even if i know it's maybe a little too big for me my skill set and we do it and i don't do it well i'll learn something from it then just not doing it just because it seems too hard so i feel like the me. That's here now. Is a lot more outgoing with what i take on. Do you feel that might be also the from the help of the scene. 'cause at miami. Yeah absolutely absolutely. I have made so many friends in this light hobby that it makes me feel like the people. I'm friends with making better at doing it. And i have a few people that come to mind immediately but like everyone who has not along the way as like help me in some player and other and i've made friends that have like had made me feel a little more motivated to work on my stuff when i might not quite be feeling up to it where i've had people that have pushed me to. Maybe like compete. Where i never thought i could have then. I did went well so yes. People definitely have log way serve. You compete in contests are where you compete. How did that go. I'm bet that was probably alive. Well my first competition was at tucson comecon. And i built and like i stand so did a lot of like hand. I don't know tail in as i did that. Tyson i category which was fun and Other than that. I did compete at wonder con which is like a common anaheim that it's probably one of my favorites and that one was really fun and we did like a big group that had like the muses from her kidneys and men can hercules himself and that was really fun All of the work. We made it all the sweeter when we actually like to go across stage like pick up the trophy you know and take pictures and all that stuff. I'm sure i've seen. I've seen a costly contests in ways from over here in texas. I've not been our to other states in since you have probably been really cool to do this for seven years to build explore outside of arizona enslavement interesting knowing the geek scene or learning about more inside of. Because you when you think of. I guess the i don't even know if that makes any sense the geeky estates but people look like you mean new york or california or new like certain places you think. Yeah exactly say like california new york or they're definitely misses. You think we need more like pop culture and that have like a little more impact on pop culture you think of like you know for example the mc a lot of like marble things take place in like new york. You think of like awesome. I feel like most things take place in california. so it's definitely different being in a state. Where he we have a little less impact. But not i wouldn't say like none at all in texas i think of similar me. I'm seen the california seen move over to texas. Texas is becoming a big deal as far as that goes but in the middle like there's that middle portion of states in the us that y-. I mean at first glance. You not think they'd be a If you're destroying off a costly one the bigger states you would not realize that everywhere you go. There always a state that supports things like this. I mean i've been figured that out. In the some of the other people i've interviewed from arizona. I think just interesting to see the scene from a smaller state and to see those people build explore outside of that. I mean go. There's always the geeky of i mean i would figure are no state out there. That the discriminatory against nerds. Maybe the kids insatiably. These as people are starting to know like where.

"Saying maybe you wanna order ahead. If you're planning on ordering in take out for a Super Bowl Sunday. A lot of restaurants that kind of do ribs is a bread and butter and pizza and all the kinds of Super Bowl foods that there They're extremely busy and that Jimmy, find yourself ordering. If you will try to order on Super Bowl Sunday day of it could be hours. Or maybe you won't get what you want. Also, this is the statement we wanted just promote our local restaurants and supporting them, Um, this weekend. Going? Talk to Blake bomb. Now he's that city's edge bar in Edgewater. And you do the kind of stuff that everybody seems to want around Super Bowl time, don't you, Blake? How are you? Good yourself. Good. So it's busy. Sorry about that. Age bracket. Apologize, but you do the ribs and you do the pizza. You do all the stuff It's like everybody wants right now. How's it going? Good. Good. Good. We'll just get taken orders every day. And, uh, most of the market may cut off soon. Just because we're We'll run out of We're actually running out of chicken wings, So it's been pretty good. That sounds like a good way to do it. So that's your normal stuff, though. I want to talk to you earlier. It sounded like you were super busy and that you already had tons of orders. Is that the case right now, what would you say? Yes, I mean, obviously, with everybody with everybody had limited capacity. I think more people are having Super Bowl get togethers at home, so people are ordering out just like always, and it's been good. So we're cutting off all of our orders pretty much tonight. Just to make sure that we have enough for everyone. So do you think that will be common, like with restaurants like yours that they're just going to be having they go from like, you know, maybe not having enough borders on some days during all of this time these past couple months to like this being really like over capacity is that is that a possibility? I think so. And that's why we we planned ahead of time just to make sure and where we have like. Four slots bird like every 15 minutes for pick up just to make sure that people could come and get their food and get out of here. Yeah. Yeah, I just I just wonder what's the best thing to order their Blake. Ah, love. The wings are fantastic. We've got a smoke wings, which are not not as common as everybody thinks, uh, that we have, like our edge wings, which are Kind of a smoked and fried and then we have some great great soups. We have a corn bacon chowder. And we have a gumbo that we do that we used to sell out of all the time. Gumbo is hard to get in the city really is And it's delicious. One dumb, right? Are you? Ah, so this weekend? I mean, like, normally a Super Bowl Sunday. Huge for you guys like is a big deal. We used to have Ah, party here and we don't have much catering. Zor take out, but now it's reversed because we're only allowed 18 people inside. So we're basically trying to get our day just threw this catering and So far, we have enough borders and seems like we'll get through. Yeah, it does sound like you're doing well. So congrats on that. You must be doing something right. Blake. Just give us the name one more time. So we are bar and grill right? We'll check it out, he said an edge, Brooke. As a guest. Correct. Thank you, Blake. Take care of the weekend. Okay? You do something. Yeah, You, too. Nancy Commons is Cummings is also on the line. She's the executive director of the LaGrange Business Association, and Nancy, I'm so happy you're calling in because this isn't yet another one of those weekends when we can really do our part to support our our small local restaurants and businesses in general, right, Nance. Any That's really so true. And this is the weekend that small independent restaurants could score Big Super Bowl Sunday. So it's a great time to really celebrate in your own home or go out to a restaurant where you've got that capacity and you can dine in and really let them what these small restaurant operators. Really have a knopper to nitty to make up some lost revenue because they they've all been struggling up until now. No doubt. So, what are you seeing across kind of Villa Grain, Jerry, and what you're hearing from different restaurant owners and stuff are some like super busy and not taking any more orders or most of them. I mean, I know some of them are doing specific Super Bowl packages. Ones that restaurants that you might not think. Yeah, we're doing. We're seeing a lot of Super Bowl packages, and they range from, you Know parties, A Q two parties of eight. That might be, um, something that's got ribs. It's got shrimp. It's got courts of chili. It's got the nachos, the loaded baked potatoes. One thing I have to say, and all the packages that I've looked at. They all include wings. So apparently that is the Super Bowl staple. You must have wings in your package because it's showing up everywhere, which is sort of interesting. But yeah, they're they're great opportunity for curbside pickup and really bring the party to your own home or dine in one of our restaurants. For example, Palmer Place is doing a terrible diet with some special They have prizes of recorder. And Plus they have 25 Cent Coronas during that time period. So even though the weather is supposed to be cold, I think our restaurant owners, they're still optimistic that people.

"I never get sick of this song. I still like it. Me to beat you need to wear used to that other radio show on Ron and don. They would bring my bed. Well, everyone else except for your show still plays that song. They don't know that. Earthy gener. So the show is the most inclusive. I would think this is the most inclusive show. This is they were bragging about being the most inclusive. Got a Jew? You got a Catholic, You gotta you gotta socialist. You got a capitalist when you fart jokes waiting to happen. What do you got? First Bill. Oh, well, I have this story that I think that Tom's gonna especially like because he likes bookstores as much as I do, And there is a new book store that opened in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood. It's called Oh, hello again, and this is not the story. But I do think every time Ah bookstore opens That is kind of a story because you mostly hear about them closing and that people aren't reading real books anymore. So I always think it's just such a brave and heroic action actually open a new book store. But this bookstore is special, which is why there is a Seattle Times article about it. Written by Paul Constant, I will say beautifully written. I really liked his writing this article. And personally I've never been to a bookstore that didn't organize its books alphabetically by authors last name, but when you go to Oh, hello again instead of that the books are organized. My emotion by mood by feeling so there are all of these different categories such as on the trials of growing up and moving on. Or maybe you want a book from the section called for PMS, and when you don't want to get out of bed, the owner Kari Ferguson says the most popular sections are anti racism when you need a laugh and climate change, so Even the Children's books are mixed in with the adults books and the young adult novels are as well so If you went in as an adult, you would just go in and see what mood you're in. So for example, she says, in the past couple months, and she's been open, she's been selling a lot of copies of that really popular Children's book that I had as a kid called Chicken Soup with rice for people who are feeling sad and alone and maybe sick, so there may be buying books that they didn't come in to buy. Mm hmm. Fantastic, Johnny Jump in here. I didn't know she had sound. She sound like she was throwing it to sound. Okay. And she wasn't. She wasn't talking if there's a long enough pause. Okay. So one thing I want to say, Rachel is your right and wrong about my reaction to the story. First off, Get ready, Rachel. Get ready. He's gonna unleash it pre show me. Go ahead, Tom. Well, the thing is, I do think it's reason to cheer. Anytime any book store opens even a bookstore that has nothing but cook books in it. Dig, but but the thing is for me. My media reaction of this was Oh, I can't stand this idea that people read for mood for emotion. I would hate that. You know, you shouldn't go in and read. Does CF ski Because I feel like I want to read a really dark, depressing analysis of the condition of man. You should go in there because it's a great book, and it's great writing and it's Dostoyevsky for pizza. So there's really I'm at first blush. I was horrified at this idea, however. I came around after going through the article because I realized that it's the serendipitous juxtaposition of a Children's book in a particular mood. However, you define it with an adult book with, you know, maybe You know, it could be any kind. Oh, I liked about it's them a launch of all these kinds of titles and so I was won over. But initially, I just resented because I don't think rating should just be about or should be specifically about. I'm in this kind of mood. I'm in that kind of mood. You should always be in the mood for great riding, doing it. But I also agree and disagree. Even go Hold on if I can unleash on Tom Yeah. Whoa!.

"It's not a totally open and shut case of how Congress would react in certain constitutional crises like for instance, that most analogous one would be the constitutional crisis of 18 77. During the presidential election of Rutherford, Hayes and Sam Tilden going going way back in history, however. I never thought that was likely. I didn't think there was a real path for that. I didn't think there was a real political appetite for that. It was probably too late because the Trump team did not put forward a particularly strong legal argument over the past couple months, which would've buttressed of political political argument. So That wasn't gonna happen, but they never even got to that point. All they got to was they read? The votes from Alabama and Alaska, which actually their electoral votes for Trump.
