NFL cuts expected to be a ‘massacre,’ ‘bloodbath’ next week

"We are on the fringe. We're nearing free agency. Actually just read a very interesting to tweet about a nfl coach. Saying that next week was gonna be a bloodbath. with the cap situation Do the covid that it's going to be a very interesting year. A lot of people are going to be getting cut prior to free agency to free up room. So we'll see what happens In you know the free agents were talking about might not even be like the big guys you know we end up signing at the end of the day so one big name we have been talking about and you specifically talked about this guy. Quite a bit is joni From new england the patriots are not going to use the franchise on him again. They can't do it. They they're cap situation would allow forward. I believe but with what you end up making the second time around. It really doesn't make any sense to them. As i was listening to boston. Sports radio their day like they were talking about that. Very topic so loonies. He's a big name. being fans. Love is a big often. Attack was out there And they've got to think about bringing their own guys. Back to william jackson in kara lawson entering free agency. So that's a big big names in some big money right there. What what can really afford to do. So that you you hit the list You hit you hit the big players. They're they have of course two big guys. Internally that are scheduled to be free agents in jackson and lawson one of those may end up getting the franchise tag. Probably the non-exclusive. If i had a bad at this point i'd probably say it's carl lawson and and we don't know the exact figures yet but they'll come out soon what the values will be But it's based position and since deandre get paid a little bit more than corners. Speed deanne tag is going to be a little higher. But i think that's a cost of the bengals are willing to take just to avoid the risk of losing carl. Potentially at an already weakened spot you know masterpass russia's spin has been existent Especially last year And i think room on bengals dot com had a couple of comments today from an article today saying they're looking to shore up the pass rush and he didn't mention actually edge rusher cement of course interior pressure which was good to see liu mentioned and we can talk about some interior linemen. Who are going to be on the market that could provide some interior. Pass rush to collapse the pocket if you will but to your question about what. They can't afford i. There is a way for them to structure these contracts with the amount of space that they have available. Of course we don't know what official cap will be just like we don't know what the tag amounts are going to be. We don't really know the final numbers quite yet. We know the cap can't go below one eighty But let's assume it stays right at that floor. I been under the working on the assumption that it's going to creep up to one eighty five rather optimistically but who knows if it gets that high. Is you mentioned kobe. Kobe tope took all essentially all the local revenues that these teams generated and made it two zero for almost all of them. There are some teams based on the cities and state. They were in that allowed some attendance. That really you know. It was a small percentage of what a normal season would be. So they're sitting in a good spot. Relatively speaking in terms of current cap space. There are about thirty seven million once you account for the almost eleven million. They rolled over last year. So at that point if they just stay there. They're they're currently line to be seventh most in cap space and that's a lot to work with in terms just resigning those guys internally and then going out on the market for tuning type of player ariba some more mid tier guys in the bond bell mold last year. You know a more of a modest deal where you get a lot of value in that regard but if they ended up staying put without making cuts and being seventh and cap space that gives them a lot of flexibility. But i think to your earlier point. We are gonna start seeing a lot more cut. We started seeing some today. There were some report. I think gave jackson the right guard for the raiders is not. There's a report that they they're looking to trade their right tackle trent brown. If they can't find a trade partner they'll likely cut him too. So the market's going to be flooded. It's going to be starting to be flooded. It's going to be even more so and on the bengals and they're likely to make some calm cap cuts. They don't need to make them because they have plenty of room. But just the value is not there to keep some of these guys on the books. You know the names. Bobby heart which will save just under five point nine million. Bj phinney will save three and a quarter million with no dead money and then of course geno atkins. We've talked about the gino situation Pretty at length and the question will be whether they released him. Post june one or or designated or releasing prior to june one or designate him or our releasing post you one which adds a little bit more savings to it but if you cut those three guys even if you don't cut gino with a post june one designation that adds about nine million in addition In additional cap space. So if you had that. Nineteen to thirty seven. Obviously naira almost sixty million and fifty six million give or take And that would baltim- in the top five of capital so they have a lot of flexibility to enter the long-term extensions with both their internal free and to go out on the market and signs of sizeable Upgrades hopefully on the offense line and positions that they they really need to

Mina Kimes Explains Why SheIs More Excited for This Weekend Than the Super Bowl

"Meena. Hello pablo hello is an nfl analyst for espn and the host of the meantime show featuring lenny so i need to know where you are on the football excitement alerts scale right now because i for a true tape grinder like yourself conference championship. Sunday is in some ways. Maybe even better than the super bowl if the football excitement scale as you call. It was one through ten conference championships. Sunday's about fifteen for me. There's know maybe about whether or not it's more exciting than the super bowl. Pablo it absolutely is. This is my favorite sunday of the year and in part because by the time we get to the super bowl we've talked about same matchups over and over and it's usually like. How many times can we say what you guys rush brady with four. You know before and of course always been in the super bowl the last decade or so. That's a phrase. I've said a lot inventive. You say that. I was going to say you're the person i i would really make that a me. I mean it's true but it's also more fun when you get to talk about other things and this particular set of games. It's really the best possible combination of teams in my opinion. There's a reason why the lions in vegas are very close because it actually looks like a pretty well matched pair of games. I wanna start with buccaneers packers. Meena because this was not a close game when these two teams played back. In october roggio touchdown tampa bay fire the cannons the bucks and thirty seven rogers was abysmal. In that game through zero touchdowns he threw two. picks completed. Completed doesn't half passes in tampa bay when they played each other. The first time and tampa bay destroyed perhaps not coincidentally green bay. Thirty eight to ten. So how did that blowout happened. Well this is. It was such a strange game. Pablo because aaron rodgers has had this incredible season which. I'm sure we'll talk about this. Is the one real blemish on his staff third drops better pass picked off the other side. By two thousand fifteen touchdown touchdown booker. He stunk i. There's no really nice way to put it. Now he stunk in part because the offensive line in green bay which has been spectacular. One of the best football year got beat up. Front rodgers was sacked six times pressured twenty one times. I mean no most of the time this series look cool as a cucumber back there but this was not the case and as mentioned had these very surprising interceptions coming from him. I think he finished the game with a passer rating of like thirty five. Okay so really. It was all about the buccaneers. Pass rush beating green bay upfront and aaron rodgers being uncomfortable as a result and that was also reflected in the running game. aaron jones had just ten carries. He averaged like one point. Five yards per rush again. Very dissimilar from the rest of the season. But you saw what could or should i. If in the eyes of tampa bay be the formula for beating green bay which is if you can stop the running game and keep the packers from executing their play action passing attack which flows from that and get them into third down and get pressure on rogers and obvious passing situations. That's your best chance of beating now. All those things i just said barry. Few teams in the nfl been able to do that but tampa was able to do that the last time. These two teams that so many things obviously have changed since then as you alluded to. That was back in week. Six when that game happened. So in what you've seen since then who's been better this year. Aaron rodgers tom brady. Aaron rodgers is undeniably. Been the better quarterback this year and he is my pick by the way for. Mvp it's between him. And patrick mahomes. It's close but rodgers is that an unreal season. I mean just statistically he's been first and qbr brady was tenth. He ranks third in yards per temporary. He was eleventh forty eight touchdowns brady at forty. He only through five pigs brady threw twelve. You get the idea. So while tom brady is the most complex quarterback of all time i believe. Aaron rodgers is the most talented. Patrick mahomes is kind of them. A run for that. And when these two goats meat i don't know where goat's meat in a field a meadow anyway to meet makes me sort of hungary. Honestly that phrase oud took it there. I guess goats will be hurting in green bay this weekend but the goat whose homefield it is home meadow. It is has been the better one this weekend. That's metaphor really. Just got out of control.

Is this what the Pats need to do to improve their defensive line?

"In. I really like adam butler like dietrich wise a little bit but at both these guys i think point to the fact that the patriots defensive line is not where it needs to be right now and they have a lot of work to do a front and i would add to this next guy john. Simon sort of into that equation as well as an edge defender as a place where they could really use an upgrade. I would similar to atom. Butler is john simon and the fact that in his in his role right. Now i don't know if he's fully capable of handling it last year when they had a lot more depth at the edge in the linebacker of hybrid position with calvin nolan Land roberts jamie collins. A johnson played less than fifty percent of the snaps this year. He's now playing about seventy sound snaps on defense in production. Hasn't gone up at all nowadays. Play a slip This is starting essentially starting edge player with four quarterback heads into saxon the year so the passwords progression. Just isn't there at all and you still on the film. He's not really getting off blocks at all. He's now pressuring the quarterback from the edge and on he's coverage player. He's he's he's a veteran. he's smart. But i think ultimately if your signing him to be a seventy percent seventy percent of the defensive snaps guy is he. He can be liability times as you reduce his role some to to the way they wanna use in butler ideally then he can be more effective so it really depends argue with finding upgrade in the draft. Is you taken a plane. More snaps on the edges chase. Winovich can not mysteriously disappear at times and be more full-time player on the edge. Then john fits better. But if you're not going to do that i don't really think he's worth bringing back. If he's going to be a fulltime star that position they want you to rush. Cover drop the coverage off the edge and at the edge of the defense. And that's what you're gonna do as seventy percent player at opposition. It's really tough. I mean that's not an easy thing to do. And i i think the john simon does one of those things as starter level or baby obama replacement level. I should say and that set the edge. The other two things rushing the passer dropping into coverage. Not so much for the problem that they've route into is that chase winovich. Joshu are not ready to be every dow players yet so you're sort of caught with a bunch of one dimensional guys. J. winovich ideal passing downs players. But john simon's better more before stouter at setting the edge. It's like if you combine those guys to one player than the aggregrate football player. That's not how it works. I think the agents run into problems this year with sort of constantly needing to mix and match right in in rotate guys in and out of. What's the situation. What's the down and distance and that can work and they've done that effectively in the past but more a lot more. This season is aided in years in the past teams have identified those types of players and said okay. We know we have signed out here. We know we have winovich john here and they've been able to take a little bit more advantage of those types of

Dallas Cowboys Still In Playoff Race With Win Over Eagles, Washington Loss

"Washington football team was in pole position yesterday. Had ron rivera defeated his old club. They would have clinched the nfc because the giants lost to the ravens. Instead here we go. Week seventeen cowboys. The giants the washington football team taking on philly the eagles the only team in the division. That has officially been eliminated from postseason contention. But you say the w. f. t. will w. i n. the nfc. I think they will because of the match up. I mean philly is out of the playoff race. Plus their offensive. Line is so decimated by injuries that they can't protect whomever's playing quarterback and with such a hellacious. Pass rush that washington bring. I think they will force jalen hurts into some mistakes and they have a chance to take care of business. They had that chances this last sunday yesterday against the panthers didn't take care of business but i think philly's a different problem for him and i think they can solve

Bill Barnwell on NFL Week 14

"To one bill barnwell. We just watched the now. Ten and three bills beat the now eleven two steelers twenty six to fifteen and i am not certain of many things in this world anymore. But i am pretty certain. They're going to be a lot of babies named josh or in buffalo alone that people in buffalo are named. Ej drew rob tyron. We're all going to have to change their name to josh. Over the next few months bill barnwell host the bill barnwell show podcast. And you can find his indispensable. Nfl column on espn plus every monday. He's also never broken a table that we know of. They'll help me understand this. How did the buffalo bills turned things around after such a slow. Start on offense tonight. This was interesting because the slowest kinda out to these sort of exact start you would want right. I mean josh. Allen was struggling the steelers pass rush was in his face early and often does allen. Started this game seven of sixteen for thirty nine yards with an interception and a fumble alan of the gun. He's back late rush. Throws it down the left side line and it's intercepted that is a great offense was struggling on the side of the ball. It's fair to say but look like the steelers were josh allens head and maybe last year that would have been it. Josh allen never would have recovered this year is different. Josh allen is different and he has a weapon nobody can cover and the combination of allen and stefan digs took advantage of some rare mistakes and misplace. From the pittsburgh steelers allen's a hot stretch started really with the steelers tried to tackle digs on a third in three without hands which is hard. Alan took that playoff field for twenty three yards. And then he got going digs had two catches on plays. Were still defensive. Backs just fell down including a touchdown and now made one great throw against to coverage for a touchdown. Pass to gabriel davis. Cox's arm fires into the renzo caught buffalo touchdown bills. Gabriel davis caught a thirteen yard strike. And a second throw on the run of long pass interference penalty to dos knox. It seemed like the steelers might have figured out the third year quarterback but by the second half it was pretty clear things where the other way around so looking at the steelers now bill. I am curious what exactly has been solved with them because this is a team that went from undefeated not so long ago to losing two in a row now to washington and buffalo so based on what. You've seen these last two weeks. How worried should pittsburgh actually big. There's reasons for legitimate concern here. I mean the defense will the problem at the end of the day they all. The bills scored nineteen points. So i'm not stressed about the defense on the whole he's had some injuries that's going to be a legitimate concern but this is still a very good defense and they are prohibitive favorites still to win the afc north. But i think even before the last two games last two losses there were concerns about this offense. The steelers came into this game ranked thirtieth in rushing offense. Dvr a football outsiders efficiency statistic but roethlisberger was twenty ninth in the league in completion percentage on de passing becoming very erratic deep passer and the stairs basically happened left with an offense but almost exclusively consists of short passes trying to the ball. Out of rothlisberger hands quickly. That's help keep him healthy. Which is great but that offense has one explosive game. Since the start in november and sunday night was not the second we saw the offense struggle in the exact same ways even though they got james conner. They're starting running back back in the lineup. They lost multiple starting offensive linemen to run the seventeen times for forty seven yards. And we're at. The speaker tried to throw deep. He was one of five for nineteen yards with a touchdown and pick now. It's possible the steelers are tired after basically going fourteen weeks without a real by they've had their to buy weeks of course basically taken away due to covert concerns. Remember the one saving grace all year for the steelers. That's they were going. Undefeated was the possibility of getting that week off asks the number one seed in the afc. Now they fall fallen behind the chiefs with bosses in their past two games. The upshot only gives steelers in eight percent. Chance of coming away with the number one seed in the conference talked about last week. That's the only way to get a buy in the playoffs. At this point the stakes happened raised for the steelers. I'm not sure whether they're up to the challenge and it feels like it is only clear that the measuring stick against which all contenders are evaluated has to be kansas city and the chiefs spill. They seem to find themselves in some amount of danger on sunday. Only to escape narrowly against the dolphins and their young quarterback to and tug of lois. Oh after watching. Patrick mahomes ultimately win this game. Thirty three to twenty seven. How did miami put this biggest scare into the now twelve in one chiefs so i will. They did something that nobody has been able to do to the chiefs all season. That's forced takeaways. Patrick mahomes hasn't made any spectacular plays. Maybe this year. Has he did during that. Mvp season his first. Starting your twenty eighteen. But they've been really effective at avoiding. Take ways they haven't had one takeaway in any one given game until the dolphins game against the dolphins homes through to early interceptions to help the dolphins get out to attend. Nothing lead back to throw my extra fake look and dumped it down. Intercepted ball picked second interception up the day of patrick mahomes and while the chiefs runoff thirty consecutive points to go ahead. The dolphins strip mccall hardin inside the red zone to stop possession the second half and then saving howard picked off mahomes in the end zone for kansas city's fourth turnover of the game. Now i don't know if that's a sustainable formula for opposing team's doing from one turnover as a maximum to four. But they were able to get back into the game and the chiefs a genuine battle by forcing those takeaways from an offense. That just hasn't done that. Really aussies

Los Angeles Rams Hold Off Brady, Bucs Behind Goff’s 3 TDs

"Okay skip. We're going to get through this today. Let's talk about what we saw last night. The rams did beat the buccaneers last night. Twenty seven twenty four despite rushing for less than two yards per carry jared goff picked apart tampa secondary for three hundred seventy six yards and three touchdowns including over one hundred yards to both robert woods and cooper kupp. Meanwhile tom brady finished with two hundred sixteen passing yards on season low five yards per attempt and also threw two interceptions including one on the bucks. Final drive when they had a chance to tie or take the lead the game the forty three year old quarterback brady his third loss in prime time. This season shannon. How much was tom brady to blame last night. A lot of the half out of ten. Don't put this in primetime. Tom brady played more prime time games. Nine super bowl is that prime time thirteen. Afc championship game. Is that prime time. All the playoff game. Don't put that in prime time. Tom brady have played bad. It's as simple as their tom. Brady has not been good. This year needs played here. Well he played good if he hasn't put a game together No our young watched game at carolina just a week ago. Like virtuoso masterpiece when comprehend. Please just let me have my moment. just let me by moment. Twenty two incompletions. Wow if that good you thought about forty eight times you have slightly more than two hundred sixteen to one dollars that good. Goodbye it now. This what we hear brady was inaccurate all night last night on deep balls. Oh for six with two interceptions on throws twenty yards downfield skip bayless and pro football focus. Se tom brady's doing great during the ball down the field the last four gave. He's one for twenty. Throw twenty yards down the field with three interceptions. Now here the stat that somebody. I don't know who came up with this. That they call it a. He leaves the league you this. Tom brady leads. The league in a twenty yard throws sixty me lead to leave but he's twenty. Seven and completion percentage four and affection which third most. What was the final score. Time killed. kim. I will let you have. It was sixty five to nothing more. If i'm not janey why. What did i predict the finals. Go be laughing yesterday. you have no idea. I don't remember shad have really did better. Staleness only got one pro. Football focus also came all stay at near distance. It doesn't matter if the ball is complete or incomplete. Otto completion matter. It doesn't matter because don because you've been telling me all he does is drink and done his backs. Skip good if i thought about georgia. Being the hall of fame. Completions didn't battle. All i was only refuting your point. He's just a dink dunker now. That's what said he's got no arm. He's a noodle arm spaghetti white house. Completion percentage down the field who leads the whole. Nfl in air distance. And i think he just pulled away. Last night beth as consequential stat you saw him throwing the ball down the field lighting and dunk last night when he didn't think and how do look when did he deacon dunk. I think conductor for net three times that he dropped all three of them note that he had antonio brown hair thirteen target eight catches for fifty seven yards seven point one of material. He had ten targets. The chris with seven yards seven catches for fifty three yards. Dak seven point six. He had one receiver that had a double digit average own completion. You he deacon and dunkin what was the final score deferrals court with tom brady lost and the rams one. That's what jared goff. First of all jerry gulf in charm paid like the gave this thing away because they got ultra conservative and they got careless the football but somebody makes go but scale you look off last night. There's no way around it. I don't want to hear anything about the defense. Because i told you everybody based everything because if you wash tampa bay everybody wanted to annoy them after. They did with green bay. And i'll say if you watch that defense. I say the into who said i didn't get to us. They can be hey. I think they're very undisciplined. I out of position a lot more. You think but because that pass rush covers up but they don't get home they can be had. Whoa that they're coming. They could be had skilled. Tom brady he got happy feet. Another one get here and they gotta run. They really do a whole lot but they got around him a little bit and he had had like polka polka. Like do the poco.

Las Vegas Raiders face 'daunting task' with COVID-19 issues ahead of game vs. Kansas City Chiefs

"Kid city chiefs at eight point favorite leg. I said we'll get to that in a second on the road against the vegas raiders on this game. Fifty six and a half. We will have. John cheering on later. I'm sure he'll be able to explain whether slightly above the market pain. i have to believe. That's all covid related to be quite honest. The raiders defense in the contact tracing protocol. We're not quite sure. If i'm going to have to get called up to play safety and let me tell you my foot speed not enough to slow down tyreek hill and open spaces really wouldn't say i mean i might try and slew coming off the line. That'd be my only shot. so listen. I the raiders offensive game plan back in week five was good. Obviously but the halftime adjustments that. Paul guenther in the raiders. Defensively really is what i think won them the game. It's really what gave the chiefs offense trouble. You really hadn't seen that from the chiefs offense before during this. Patty mahomes like run especially against the defense of that caliber. You go back to week. Five in the second half. Kansas city was successful. Only twenty one percent of their snaps. One point to carry twenty eight percent success rate through their moms is pressured. A ton the raiders. Were able to do something in that game. They hadn't been able to do most of the season which is get pressure vegas. Twenty six on the season pass rush win rate and then obviously after a few good games. Recently where the raiders have been able to apply some pressure to quarterbacks. They've surged to an average defense in pressuring the week. Five game if you look at some of these numbers. Mahomes was pressured on forty. Seven percent of total dropbacks specifically from eleven personnel. Were kansas city. Essentially lives seventy three percent of the time moms pressured on fifty seven percent of those three wide sets. I would envision off the bye with the little extra motivation of not. Just losing to the raiders but but kansas city not being really happy about gruden and the gang taken victory laps around the the stadium there drivers using using the loudspeaker thereafter the week. Five win that Andy reid is probably gonna come with a pretty good game plan here and you know past the success that andy. Reid is hat off the bye. You mentioned this. The raiders are are probably going to be without a few key defenders but You know another handful of defensive players are going to miss practice all week due to this contact tracing. It's probably isn't the offense that you wanna face short handed in in pissed off and not having practiced to four. I would think. I also believe we'll probably see a little more play action for mandatory. You know patty mahomes in the chiefs past game will probably fair little bit. Better here with play action. Especially if if the pressure starts to barrel down. I would also think that it's worth mentioning that three chiefs offensive lineman or on the cova the list it's believed to be contact tracing but we'll have to see this certainly make this game a little bit different. If if all three of those offensive lineman are out. You also expect sammy. Watkins to return in this game us a full practice participant on wednesday so he should be a full ghost that they're gonna have their their complement of weapons out there. The number in this thing is is really interesting. But i think that this tougher makes a lot of sense. I i just don't see. Kansas city's offense not bouncing back here in a major way talk. i mean. They're playing with a chip on their shoulder. Which is always dangerous to begin with. We've seen their passing offense. That was more a work in progress. Probably the nicest way to put it early on in the season and no doubt that was by design. Get on track with mahomes during for more than eight hundred yards the last two games when you look at the way. Mahomes performed against the raiders. Fifteen total touchdowns just two interceptions one of them of course coming earlier this year the chiefs loss as a double digit home favor and i think it's pretty staggering to know what costs kansas city. That game is the fact that hey look. They finished a net negative minus sixty four in terms of rushing yards. The raiders held the ball for nearly eleven minutes longer and kansas city knows that they can hit the home runs. That are widely available. If they keep mahomes operate i think. The raiders passing defenses. You mention it may trending in the right direction. There's no doubt a lot of optimism out here around the raiders especially on the defensive side of the ball. This is a different beast that they're going to try and counter and with sammy watkins back amongst others. I just don't know where the raiders consistently find a way to get off the field. I agree with that. And i get it. You have to young corners in trayvon mullin in our net and people are thinking to themselves like. Hey we're trending in the right direction. We're starting to get some pressure. Would you look you play at the browns. The total is suppressed because of weather and wind. You're at the chargers. It's likely a a lost game. If two guys can hold onto football on the back corner fate and then the broncos last week and drew lock was clearly injured after taking a hit in the second quarter but you could have been trailing at halftime in that game so listen. I think the raiders are better than we all expected. You look at who they've lost to. It's it's the bills box and patriots. All pretty good teams obviously bucks in bills being very good patriots. You know with bill tough spot. There is well off the monday night game traveling across the country. So i get the by of the raiders. I just need to see more defensively to believe it's real and so that that's kind of where i'm out on that unit. I fully expect kansas city to do some good things here. Offensively

NFL Playoff Futures: Who will make the 2020 post-season?

"Wanted to talk about playoff odds and not not. Just who's gonna make the playoffs but also the nfc the nfc's a really weird place. The saints are plus three fifty to win this to in the nfc. None of us like the saints even are as good as they looked last week against tampa. There's still this unease with because breezes arm strength. It just makes me nervous. I'm starting to talk myself into the saints. Okay yeah okay so a couple of things number one. Smart people in july and august said wait until brady gets half a season under his belt and they're going to get better you know. No one cares. More about the details. And tom brady doesn't have a training. Camp does not as doesn't put pads on till till august fifteenth. He's gonna get better and better and better and so week one when when the bucks and the saints played. I threw that out. I said this this doesn't matter bracing to get better and better better. This was the closing the gap game for me. And then i didn't see that and obviously they were there whipped everywhere you know. Ali maher pet being out was a big thing with with with with people who started the game. But i think that this was bigger than than alley marquette quite frankly okay The the saints were able to get a four man rush the entire game. Are they able to pressure brady on half of his dropbacks when they had a four man rush. That's really good Since marcus davenport's come back in week five had the most pressures in football pressuring and football There's just something there. The problem at the beginning of the year was that lattimore and marcus williams were bad and those are two pretty good players and i think that you know a good pass rush. Ken console that those guys can get better and so with with brees. Listen there are. There are problems with the fact. You can't throw down the field. The offensive line is not as good as it has been in years hospice and matter with brees because he gets rid of the ball and a second. It's like peyton manning he doesn't need you know the the the best offensive line in the world and then lattimore who we were kind of dunking on because at one point he was giving almost a perfect passer rating. He owns mike evans. He own them. He is not given up a reception. Mike evans the last three games. They've played and so when if those guys play in the playoffs again. There's that match up. So i i don't. I'm feeling better about the saints. Now that i was two three weeks ago. Good coaching staff. I gary coaching staff. Yeah so the fear in this isn't just the saints but the fear is all right. What happens at their downtown in a playoff game. It's basically the lamar jackson corollary. How am i feeling down. Thirteen to three in the second quarter and they've just done a three and out. What were my emotions in that moment. That's my the saints because a breeze. I think that because they don't you don't think they're capable of a big play. Is that your fear if teams though like all right. They've got to air this out. They've got to quicken the pace and also it's amazing to me a cameras probably been the. Mvp think it's either him cook mahomes berry some order Okay i'm amazed at teams aren't just like all right. We're taking him out like bell. Check in his prime your. He got added as kids to the coaching staff and decided to throw a fight street. Drafts fail check All he would do me like chimeras not beating me. You can have everyone else on the saints. I'm not getting beat by that guy. I'm falling everywhere he goes. We're hitting him constantly. He's not beating me. Why don't teams do that with them. I don't get it okay. So first of all they have a of weapons. Thanks so she when michael. Thomas is healthy There's a lot they can do their you know. I think peter king early breakdown. His column this week about there was a play where the bucks dropped eight men into coverage and it was a weird play. They had their fullbacks put out wide and brees hit a random tight end. Adam traveling for a touchdown even throwing into eight men like that. There's just something their breezes still really really good so. I think it's a bit simplistic to say. Just take away kamara because they can do other stuff And they can. They can change their game plan so

"So why? Want to say this. So how it was there a better way to spell your last name then or would there be like Italic so I can have people pronounce it correctly when they read the headline here. Yeah everybody thinks like it's A. Job looks like Josh right here. But if you have really gonNA spell, we probably with a Y Y Y. Que you or something like that since last name just totally jacked up. The I I'm not GonNa lie when saw I think maybe it was when you asked me to. Be On your podcast dry your podcast before I thought it was Josh. So I apologize I just wrote in my little notes I put. Okay You M. so hopefully that eleven maybe that'll resolve things a little bit. So just for everyone out there that'll. Thousand my that was my iteration. And that's where we just have to get to a point as a coach and a company where people in the not to say. That's one of our goals. People say Yoga the right way yeah. Yeah. That'd be good. Creative Project Austin. So I know one of the things that I really like about looking at your work is I. Know that want to know you're really creative coach always love I know this is GonNa be an awesome talk and I was curious you did football I think track a you're into strengthening conditioning. What what was your formation in your years as a college athlete and then your choice to become the type of coach that you are now? Yeah and I think it's funny that you say I'm a creative coach because as a player I was anti creative like from from the very day one. Started lifting in high school with Olympic lifts like straight. Olympic. Style. Monday Wednesday Friday, all we did was clean and jerk clean snatch, and then maybe some bench presents watts and just the differ variation of that and. I mastered swore by those for so many years. That's literally the only thing I ever did. If. We sprinted if we did anything maybe some ladders we did but. The entire program was Olympic lifts swear by it was awesome in highschool got really strong at that. Thought that was the answer. When into my first year college at Saint Thomas Football Kaikan on the field first day we actually lifted before we went on the field we lifted and I was like smoking these guys like smoking on cleaner jerk like doing. More than a lot of seniors on their all I'm here I arrived I'm sweet a freshman. Football, we go to the practice that day and I I my mind was blown I had no idea was happening speed the game was different. Everything was different I'm move to like a robot out on the field and just moved terribly and I started the. To all right, what's happening in the weight room is not what's happening on the field and I need to find a way to bridge that gap and that started the full journey and I think it is a journey because then it was west side stuff on my. All right not the Olympic stuff. Now it's west side. Now it's the powerlifting. Now it's some box. Johnson plow metrics advance to my are still stuck in that weight reminds set of. Bands the bar now GonNa be faster and it helped a little bit I moved just a little bit better. But I think we're just because I was destroying my body a little bit less than the weight room and I still a little bit slower on the field and it was just this journey than it was bilateral to single lateral. Then it was traffic training and this this full hodgepodge of things but never fully breaking out of the weight room mindset never breaking into the movement onset and by the time graduated. At Saint Thomas I had some athletic success on the field and. But it was in a way of I forced myself into a mold of athletic success. I plays Nose Guard and my movement options were very small and I was watching other players and I was doing a job that was required to do doing his thing. I'm field that is required to do but the game move fast for me everything move fast for me I had. Very little movement options I had one may maybe one pass rush move and I was good at the pass rush move. But I didn't have a lot of options people next left and right and me that works out in quotation worked out a lot less than me that they had way more options and that's really where I started to dive into how can I get more movement options for myself? How can I move better? How can I give my athletes the ability to? Now that you have a huge output, you're able to lift a bunch of weight. You're able to sprint really really fast to do all these things. How can we give you options to do this? How can we give you? Can we slow the game down a little bit for you and that's Kind of a little bit of where we started the journey of where Rats Day and hopefully the journey continues for the next ten to fifteen years I can look back at this podcast. Rams lose another star, Raiders sign LB Cory Littleton

"We talked a little bit about Kokoska yesterday but today any big moves adding cory littleton. You're the first guy to report that transaction. You Know Littleton. You've been on the rams beat let us know what. Raider nation is getting well first and foremost a just a quality Kid Guy came up as an undrafted. Free Agent Had You know make his way through special teams kind of earned his role a second year and then by third year he was he was a starter and playing really well but a guy that can stop the run. A sideline the sideline playmaker tackler. He can defend the pass rush. The passer is great on Special Teams. Says a knack is miles. Well knows of blocking punts coming up. Timely interceptions uses a heady solid productive player. That's GONNA fit perfectly alongside Nick Wykowski In that what's going to be a revamp raiders? Defense so that was their number. One target at linebacker are they had awaited out a little bit at the the the number that that corey was looking for Was a little too steep. Originally on Monday I came down on Tuesday. And the raiders swooped in. That sounds like we're getting somebody like you said a quality player here For this raiders much-needed Linebacker Core. That needed to bolster up a little. Bit here Miles woody you know about Littleton. Who was like a undrafted free agent in two thousand sixteen play the last four years with the rams twenty eighteen pro Bowler What kind of asset is he for Linebacker core right now? I think he is the kind of guy this can be. Really good sideline to sideline linebacker in you. Think about what teams need to be in the year twenty twenty where more on more offenses or using three wide receiver sets as their base. You need to have yet. Linebacker that outside linebacker. That's really going to be your second linebacker on the field. Scott to be able to cover tight ends. It's got to be able to play the run pretty well and sometimes he might have to get out in the coverage in maybe Jama Guy in the slot. I think those are all things that cory littleton can do in Cory Littleton. Ken Excel at. And that's something that when you think about linebackers and the way that they have to function in different offenses and things like that look. That's what you need and so I think when you look at what Cory Littleton is done. He was a signal caller for the rams defense. They changed that this last year putting Eric well in that wall but also just going as a sideline to sideline sort of linebacker. He somebody that I think is really going to elevate the raiders at the second level. And that's exactly what the raiders needed going into this free agency period

"Today ahead of Super Bowl. Fifty four we break down just what to expect when the Chiesa. He's the niners square off on Sunday. I mean at times it's Thursday January thirtieth this espn daily presented by Dell small business. We are on radio row right now. ESPN daily is in the back There are radio stations across America. ESPN shows everyone is at their booths. Interviewing players analysts celebrities stars. And we've got one here with us. Dominic foxworth radio row is madness. It always ban is but it's like three hundred people gets bigger and his crazier every year. Well Luke speaking of madness this game people having trouble picking the winner I think because it truly feels like the two best teams made it to the Super Bowl. I feel like I'm just GONNA. It was Patrick Mahomes. Because it's not GonNa be fun rooting against him. We'll be more fun rooting for him than against it. Let's start by talking about patching mahomes chiefs offense versus the San Francisco Forty Forty niners defense. Which is sort of the strength on strength matchup in this game? I think history would favor San Francisco because the recent super bowls elite defenses. Have come out on top. The two thousand fifteen Denver Broncos the two thousand thirteen Seattle seahawks. We don't need to talk about what happened near later. The two thousand eight steelers ninety six packers list goes on typically offense loses according to our friends at stats and Info so the niners are the sevens team in the last fifteen years to make it to the super bowl with fifty five or more sex the other six teams all won dominique. We've seen how disruptive active this pass rushes the secondary ranks near the top of the League in stopping deep passing as the linebackers fast they can move laterally. Which is the chiefs specialty with their sweeps and screens? And all that said tell me how the chiefs offense can still beat them. I mean I have never seen the chiefs. Offense actually be stopped in any legitimate way especially with a healthy Patrick mahomes and he is healthy. And that's the difference is when we've seen great defenses. Losing the Super Bowl. It's been all time great quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers one of the people who did I did not think Patrick Mahomes is obviously in that category. As far as this town is concerned. If you were the niners defense how would you defend Patrick Mahomes this explosive chiefs passing attack. So I think you have to mix it up. That's the best thing you can do. And you also have to understand that you're not gonNA stop them. They're GONNA make plays they're going to score points. But you need to try not to give a big play. Touchdown don't stress about them getting to the red zone but play well in a red zone which the forty niners haven't been doing which is scary. It's interesting right. Yeah the the niners defense ranks. Thanks near the top in most statistical categories this year. But you're right. They have been less. Efficient are actually been below average in the red zone. They've struggled to stop the run there. which cheese haven't really been running the ball lately? They've also struggled this season against mobile quarterbacks now that requires an enormous caveat which which is that D. Ford niners pass rusher at Kwon Alexander. LINEBACKER missed a lot of games during the regular season but you look performances against Cuyler Murray Lamar Jackson Russell Wilson. You saw those were the games in which they struggled a little bit more for what we've seen from Patrick Mahomes in this postseason is is an insane ability to take off the football as the leading rusher for his team and the playoffs so far and I think that he's always been comfortable with it now that his knee is gone a little bit unhealthier. He's more apt to take off. But I think that's less scary the him getting outside of the pocket throwing like I'd almost rather him try to run it for twenty yards. Because what happens win. He buys time against the forty niners. Specifically they're not traditionally man coverage team but everything turns the main when the quarterback starts to scramble like. That's your your scramble scramble roles as a defensive back or linebackers find closest guy and stick to them everything tires demand at that point in there they just frankly. The forty niners don't have the secondary speed speed in secondary and to be fair to them. No one has a speed and a secretary to run with McColl Hartman and tyreek hill specially with the arm. That Patrick Mahomes has the the chiefs are the best st passing team in the NFL or close to it. The San Francisco Forty niners are the best at defending the NFL or close to it. Something has to give live. How do you even begin to defend all of those weapons? especially if you're the forty niners you play a pretty simple cover. Three quarters mixed in there. Do you change it up. What do you do with Rick Chairman? You have to change it up. You can't survive and covered three. Andy Reid loves four verticals and with that speed and in Patrick mahomes arm strength and accuracy. He will eat you alive in the same with four verts. Would it really comes down to is pressure which is why I think that blitzing is a smart move. You WanNa make them get rid of the ball quickly and tackle but you're not gonNa do it every single time and if you give him one opportunity unity he can make you pay so you need to get the Turner was when you get those opportunities. I think they should be more aggressive than they've been and try to force them to get rid of the ball and make tackles. Yeah if there's been a weakness in this defense dominique. It's been the other side of the field for Richard Sherman originally weatherspoon more recently. They've been playing a manual. You'll Moseley a corner. He's been better but undeniably. That's an area of the field. I think the chiefs would like to target so much of the performance of the San Francisco Secondary. It depends on the pass rush getting home and you know as a former DB pass rushes the secondary's best friend a lot of the great statistics we've seen from the secondary can dairy are the product of this pass. Rush being so explosive a pass rush that turns into a murderer's row. Win The big four Defoe Award. DEFOREST Buckner Eric Armstead and it boasts are all on the field when those four players are playing their sack ratio. The percentage of drawbacks drawbacks in which they get to the quarterback jumps from six percent to twenty three percent twenty three percent of the time. They're taking the quarterback down So Eh my question to you is they've been able to get a lot of pressure by just rushing four. Do you think that they'll have success against a chief offensive line. That's probably one of the better offensive lines they faced aced. No now. It's just for. I don't think they can be able to stop him. The more I think about it in a way that you framed that I think made it very clear my mind is I think they're going to have to flush them out. You got to get him to run with the football or get them uncomfortable to get rid of the football. Because I do think that the chiefs offense line is good enough that they're not just going to get massacred. And then you put on top of it. The chiefs offense is not one that killed by a fact like most offenses. If you second now it's second and fifteen second eighteen it's over it's third and twelve. It's over over. It's not true for the chiefs offense so they can get pressured they could get a sack. Can Patrick Mahomes can make a play in overcome that so I think that the the worst thing they could possibly do is believe leave. Their Front for is going to be enough to stop this chiefs offense so far this postseason what we've seen from Patrick. Mahomes is a record performance. I quarterback in NFL history to throw for two fifty at rush for fifty consecutive games in a postseason. Do you think he keeps it up. And that's a difficult question because yes you can think he'll play well but we're talking about playing at historic level. I think he does keep it up and I think I've said this a lot in to the point where people make fun of me is that he's never had a bad game and that's one of the most mind blowing. I guess you can call it that you see from a guy who's who's just been starting for two years played a lot of games and there's never had a bad one like mediocre is the worst as you get out of them in in the big games. He's been fantastic gets thirteen touchdowns. Yeah no interceptions in his playoff career. And I know it's been said Ad Nauseam nor is why they are in Super Bowl last year because of off someone lining up offsides so like I've yet to see him shrivel into big moment he only seems to get bigger and until I see him Have a tough outing going to lean in favor

Why 49ers' defense is set up to slow down Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes

"All right the forty niners defense has been one of the best units in the NFL. All season they'll face a really tough test super bowl fifty four against the explosive chiefs. Offense Offense Kenny. You winner out on the forty niners being the best team best equipped to slow down Kansas City in and it has everything to do with the defensive line for the forty forty nine hundred. They've got four players this year had six and a half sacks or more that's the best in the NFL they have depth on defensive front so they can roll those pass rushers so they stay fresh throughout the game. If you're going to slow down you have to cut the head off the state you gotTa Hip Hop Mahomes. The forty niners defense can do that. I look at the holy. I would've chosen New England and twenty three points during the course of the season. I know that got out early to lead. But then they were able to shut them down. I think as as each time that they they play opponent. It gets a little bit better and it gets a little bit harder for that quarterback so I wouldn't take it in the Super Bowl. I would understand that as well because you have that extra time to prepare throw in some defense bilgic saw in nineteen eighty-three that nobody has seen say by Iraq. Right right right and so I I understand that but I am going to go with canty and and the horses sources of the niners. I don't think there's a coverage you can play against a healthy Patrick mahomes that can effectively slow him down. If there is no one's done it yet but you can anyone can be slowed down with a violent pass rush with a ferocious pass rush. That's what the niners have better than New England. So that's why they keep

Super Bowl Bound: 49ers and Chiefs

"Did bill. We made it to the Super Bowl. You me and Jimmy Garoppolo. I feel I I may have sweat more watching the NFC championship game. That Jimmy Garoppolo actually swept playing being in the NFC championship game. Bill Barnwell is a senior football writer at ESPN and the host of the bill. Barnwell show so after two weeks Of Extremely Exciting Football Championship weekend did not disappoint niners and chiefs fans disappointed pretty much everyone else or at least anyone who wanted close close games both favorites dominated so let's start with the most dominant team the San Francisco Forty niners bill win the niners packers met earlier earlier. This season. Aaron Rodgers had one of the worst games of his career threw for one hundred and four yards. Tonight he threw for three hundred twenty six yards But the result wasn't much better. Why is that okay? So the first time these two teams played the niners won with an absolutely dominant. Pash Josh Rush Nick. Bosa and his teammates knocked down Aaron Rodgers ten times on Sunday. The only knockdown Aaron Rogers twice and while they did hold them without a first down conversion in the first half both of those games the packers movable pretty consistently I should say after after halftime instead the forty niners otherworldly in a different way on Sunday they ran the ball forty two times for two hundred eighty five yards and four. We're touchdowns averaging nearly seven yards per carry to put that in context. ESPN has a stat called expected. Points with measures how each play impacts team's James Chances of scoring on a given the forty niners racked up the second most rushing. EPA for any team in a game this season and and the most for any single team in a playoff game over the last decade just narrowly beating out the prior record holder. which just happened to be the forty niners? Twenty wanting twelve playoff win over. The Green Bay Packers would Colin Kaepernick. Ran For one hundred. Eighty one rushing yards. So they're leading rusher tonight. I was not Colin Kaepernick. It was re Moster who ran for two hundred and twenty yards by himself. were good has hat trick the first half of the NFC championship game deserves a hat trick of field grade baby bill. Will I am guessing. A decent amount of football fans hadn't heard Ramos before tonight. Okay so you mustard is basically it accident accident in football terms but it's such a cool story so the Shanahan offense has a history of unearthing obscure running back and turning them into stars going back to Mike Shanahan stays in Denver but even among those backs most particularly remarkable case. Liners did everything they could to find a different running back over the past a couple of years. They hand picked a runner who they traded up to nab in the two thousand seventeen draft never played a game for the team. They signed Jerick McKinnon Torres. ACL He's collected more than and twenty one million dollars for the niners without ever playing a single game for the team. This offseason they added. Kevin Coleman from the Falcons who suffered an injury in the first half and that opened up the door from western and most of its story is easy to root for. You heard him talk about it. After the biggest game of his life on Sunday crazy that I've been on seven. Different teams actually still have cut dates every before every game a look at the dates when I got cut not everybody can can deal. Would that type of stressing the pain and agony I went through. I kept the faith to not only myself but whoever gave me the opportunity is organization has done a great job most are made the niners roster as a special teamer at first but after he looked good in limited time last season they gave him a three year extension after playing. Well this season most are just became the first running back. NFL history to top two hundred rushing yards and scored four rushing touchdowns in a single game. That's never happened in the playoffs playoffs before pretty good for a guy who was really an afterthought until the two thousand eighteen season. What's just remarkable? Bill is those two hundred twenty rushing yards. Were nearly three times as many yards as Garoppolo the night as quarterback past for which made for a remarkable stat sheet. There was a point in this football game where according to ESPN stats and Info. Jimmy went ninety four minutes in real time without attempting a pass so I have to ask going into the Super Bowl. Is that a sustainable offensive approach. I mean we all had that friend and in our twenties who got by succeeded solely because they were good looking right now that friend is Jimmy. Garoppolo I mean in the divisional round. He barely through through the football in the conference championship game. He barely through the football. We saw a similar situation with Ryan. Tannehill right over the first two weeks of his post. The season and when Tennessee ran into an offensive juggernaut with the chiefs their offense with Danny Hillis not able to accelerate into a higher gear. Now of course Garoppolo is the one who has to face the chiefs unless the forty niners can shut down the Kansas City. Passing game with their pass rush which isn't out of the question they're going to need to throw the football more quite a bit more. We've seen the niners succeed in games or Garoppolo and to throw the ball at ton with the Saints Win. Maybe as a notable for example but since Garoppolo through that interception against the Vikings in the divisional round cow Shanahan has called seventy one runs against just twelve passes passes even if the niners do end up throwing the ball effectively against the chiefs. It's clear that Shanahan doesn't WANNA put the game on Garoppolo shoulders unless absolutely necessary and that in itself is telling throughout the game bill packers fans were frustrated. Understand police and they seem to be taking out some of their wrath on the coaches arguing. They should have devised better game. Plans to both run the ball more and stop the run and do you think there's anything that Matt Leflore or the Packers Defensive Coordinator Mike Patton could have done differently in this game. Yeah I think so I think to be fair. Shanahan might just ask pedants number. It just felt like you is several steps ahead of the packers defensive coordinator and when pen and tried to adjust it just never seemed to catch up and work there. There was one play I think in the second quarter was a microcosm of everything that went wrong for the packers in this game. They came out in their nickle package with five defensive backs against the forty niners base. He's too back offense which created the size mismatch. The niners pitched the Baltimore and not only did he have a huge hole but he made both safeties with on their tackle attempts downfield win for about thirty yards. pedants struggled to put his players in positions where they could succeed and meanwhile leflore didn't coach like a guy who was a seven point underdog. The packers punted. I believe on their first drive on fourth and one from the fifty yard line. We know the packers are enormously more effective offense with Aaron Aaron Jones on the field but the floor still Jamal Williams their backup running back. Play over thirty percent of the offensive snaps and he didn't really take advantage of move the niners movement Richard Sherman. That was really fascinating during the regular season for the niners and during the vast majority of his time in Seattle Sherman signed up for almost every every snap asked the left cornerback. Defense playing against the right side of the offense. The niners started the game on Sunday. Which chairman on the opposite side of the field on the right side of the defense on the left side of the offense against devante items and while Sharon didn't travel to the left side very frequently? He did do it a few times during the first half. The second half Adams was able to be isolated Sherman over the top for a huge play downfield. I think that played about half of his snaps on either side of the field. I would have liked to have seen for trying to isolate him against German a little more often and take his chances with

49ers finish off their home slate in 2019 with an NFC West divisional matchup against the Rams

"We'll get things going then. In the Saturday night slot words the forty niners playing host to the rams. You're looking at the forty niners. A six and a half point favorite in this contest. Test total at forty five at Fox numbers tick tick trickle take down. Whatever the hell you want to say for forty six and a half on the open we know? The Rams playoff hopes are on life support. Pain the forty niners need to win to keep pace with the seahawks in their quest for a division title obviously they would like to win out and try and secure that number one overall seed read. This is actually going to be the largest underdog the rams have been stalled in football. Game with Sean mcvay. As their head coach they even rested starters late in the year season ago. And we're in catching six and a half but when you look at the rams performance against the Dallas cowboys all that optimism that enthusiasm that energy that the rams have found that two thousand eighteen swagger the goes out the window but the forty niners on the other side they need to bounce back after they were upset as a double digit favored by the Atlanta Falcons. It wasn't the best of matchups for the rams last week. And you know you look here in. It's it's not the best match up in this game either. It's week sixteen right like we've talked about these teams over and over. It can sound a little repetitive. But I think if you're looking at Jared Goff you're looking at mcvay you're looking at girl in this rams offense. The biggest thing is the ability to negate pressure right inevitably when it gets to Goff. How is he going to handle it? These are the things that matter most on this side of the ball and you go back to that week. Six matchup in golf just GONNA do anything. Sacked four times pressured. Twenty two did not handle that very well. One point seven yards per pass attempt zero explosive passes had a twenty nine percent passing success rate. That was with all three receivers healthy to back then so there wasn't any issues In being shorthanded. Now there's this lingering thumb issue golf hit his thumb on a helmet last week. He claims it's just Peruzzi. He claims just feels a little stiff. And he's GonNa be one hundred percent fine. Let's say golf is fine. Think about this match up a little bit you know you have a rams is team that passes at sixty two percent of the time. It's it's top ten in the league. They probably are going to pass it a little bit more here. Just Game Theory. Wise is being a nearly seven point dog as you alluded to the motion. The mcvay era but the point is of the rams are going to be passed now facing this forty niners defense and and we talk about this all the time. Top foreign pressure rate bottom foreign bullets rate. The secondary isn't left very vulnerable here and why they have the second most efficient pass defense all assigns at least so far unless Thursday hiccup at practice today that Richard Sherman Williams. They're going to be good to go Saturday. They were full participants. Since at Wednesday's practice that's a great sign. If this were two thousand seventeen I think or even early last year the solutions pretty simple right like just turn around. Hand it off to girly. Make the forty niners defend run. Make their pass rushers respect run make them think about this run game before they can just like go after Goff like a pack of wild animals if girly I can get going here. He didn't play in the first game if he can show flashes if he can be his former sell for sixty minute sample. I think that likely determines who covers this game taught right because the forty niners are the most vulnerable against the run. It's it's nitpicking picking but if you look the four defense twenty third in rushing success rate twenty second explosive run defense whether it's earlier Brown right. Those guys are GONNA have to be efficient enough off for the niners to respect the ground game. And if not I I don't think we can project GOV like going out and having a field day against an elite pass rushing elite secondary knowing passes coming all game.

"Falcons you're looking at me i'm jd like i'm crazy and the thing that worries me is the falcons defense has been playing really well and they've realised fast they've been flying around and they're going to give nick folz a really hard time that's the issue but can cover and they can cover really well they have great coroner's i mean you saw what great jarrett's been doing over the last couple of weeks lately have been going after the quarterback that's going to be a problem but if they can run the ball and they can keep the falcons off the field and deal with that defense wellenough than i think that there is a way that they can win plus their pissed off that they're the underdogs here a number one seat on your own earn i mean to say what i how many points they scored last two games we played it wasn't great late tin i'm not worried about that i'm with you the wolf i w i it's the reason i said the eagles in august the the reason that they are there because carson wins but no i did i may i definitely thought carson winds was going to elevate but the but the thing that made them scary to me was that pass rush that pat i mean that there were you that is the key though the art he now maddie idea so the rims did that the rams hit him and we know what they did this heart we're not going to throw the but we're just gonna run the bottom of throat and that's the key like yeah at the end of the day they're going to be is going to be a back and forth match outfield position bill eagles run defence i was really good thing are falcons is are probably the best match up that they could have gotten out of all like the best draws those four those two backs a man if you the one thing is they were in that zone system and it's hard to stop because of one guys out of the position is going to be a crease in those backs by and the crews i mean i saw davante.

"It that day you enjoyed most aside from the kenny gala day touched down a both of them have matter of fact where a user have been on espn all over listen this this team set you up nine comeback wins the last seventeen games um if as a play by play color guy you can't have some fun with that you should probably be selling hats right because there they have given us some amazing finishes and we've at foam with a but what i enjoyed most we're seeing that defensive line make a quarterback a veteran quarterback uncomfortable in by making them uncomfortable you forced him to make mistakes and guys we didn't see that last year this defensive line allowed quarterbacks the a comfortable incomplete over seventy percent of the as a summit up a schematic because they were just trying to keep everything in front of them because they needed pass rush put to me the keita the season is that pass rush i'm not worried about the offense they'll score but they've got to find some way to get off the field and stop people and create turnovers on defense and through one game a small sample size i love what i saw you noted why this is also differ year because normally when things happen is the wall tornadoes gang any other year the potter gets hurt you to have to bring it another potter you'll be it did it at game that won't be something happens that the partner would have been there they will want the game lov this year you didn't see that they've made up for now the big laws do not have the boiler you will run into your mind this thing's going to come down to a field goal they're out to get the snap out eta was like you know the first doc went out there you know he's i all does the duty to didn't work out and it was just but you're right candidate that they overcame it and they found a way and that's that's what good teams do it even though they got off to a bad start on special teams in a bad start on offense they found a way to get it.

"The top wall and his wide receiver had more depth be fair to what he did get hit on delivery took up pick shot in the chest and that created the overthrow so in credit tennessee hitting they're on the pass rush because if they don't get there seer sees wide open for a touchdown tennessee's call the time out twenty five seconds remaining of the game tennessee 28 georgia tech 28 and it's going to be third down and you'll more than a yard were forced out of the thirty seven line and much remember david that here kicker sean davis was not very good out a field goal try earlier the game wasn't even close to about forty seven yard i don't know where they have to get for a field goal by up to be inside the taunting man it was his first career attempt so you can imagine the pressure through the second through their attempt dummy noppen epoch but to lead the sam linebacker was able to get ended up that field as he closed quickly on marshall at march was another split second gathering cell and find searcy without side of the right has down inside the fifteen yard line there was not a defender near here all their defenders were occupied i was a chapter a touchdown marshall quick hitter right up the middle of the first down run by robots eight bench that'll stop the clock with the first dow they'll started again on the spot the chilean on the scott georgia tech down to thirty first in sad the spike is in the bad boy year but they're not going to welcome back control looks downfield out fleshed out of the pocket valley's going to scramble to the twenty five still free angle to the sideline out about ten seconds to go after 24 yard wow that's a great void because if we go tackled within bounds this game might he go into time that's a great way to get out of bounds xia paul johnson with ten seconds left tried to take a shot at the end zone or does he bring his voice kicker on the field he's worth in range but i think paul is going to take one more crack he's not so satisfied with what bill pryor without a forty yard or echoes point put a great play by marshall to sidestep the tackle and get out of bounds and and not go to.

"Line i understand you've got something interesting i'm starting to read a lot of tweets lesser we got a lot to talk about from spoilers to the eclipse today to some news out of the nfl which could lead to news down the road but i'm getting more than a few tweets of people wanting to know when you're at your best as a player and i was at my best as a player we doing this again could you block me how many times have we done this already how many times have to give the same listen we have new people that that tune into and out some of them didn't hear the answer before some of them want to hear it again they want you to be truthful about this you would you arrest me at my best could you block where you can take it run blocking past blocking total game however you want it to go ahead the go back and listen to the podcast people like this feels cheap honestly how many times where i have to tell you this he couldn't pass rush couldn't do it run block and i always said like that'll probably view stalemated bass which most cases mustered larry allen trzac martin in the league you're not exactly driving a guy off the ball anymore right i'll take the stalemate the run game of the past game it's basically just going to be like to run game to just going to stick their white on rice hold the whole time we'll get your won't your will do will bring madden back for the call because that's exactly what it would sound like guys just stand in there on the line taken up space seriously love you guys jersey that's how you redeem yourself so you think you could have blocked me you think he give stalemated me which if you if you stalemate on the old line you know that that's a win for the all lied you can never trade one for one on that as a defence of lima that'll run by automatic so you think you'd stalemate me in the run yeah and you think you could pass wide still make you right off the line of scrimmage pretend you're sorta clumsy see you probably trip or something like that like something small would deflect ucs not the.

"The mark galang late after nieto and show on news talk 1130 wyay said paul that i have a disagreement about the packard events i think it's going to be better he thinks it's going to be worse while one of us will be right right well look the same you that was arrayed i do agree with you the pass rush they've got to get some guys who can get pressure on the quarterback i don't think the dean lowery is that guy maybe is maybe is i think the defensive back fill those really good the receiving corps outstanding running backs big question mark ride behind rogers hero jr questioned barak all of this short little packer talk as a way of peaking the interest of those people who are packer obsessed which allows me to will that are my next story here spike lee's says he is considering going to the my heavy dolphins training camp and leading a protest two essentially accused the dow up an organization of racism for signing former chicago bear quarterback jay cutler and not former san francisco forty nine a quarterback colin kaepernick lee says he's not sure if he wants to localize it to one team the dolphins or go after everybody in the nfl he claims the cap arctic as being discriminated against because of his beliefs and because of his skin color capital of course is the former starter for san francisco became the backup and was the subject of considerable controversy last year when he refused to stand for the national anthem made a number of antiamerican statements and was that a practice where eggs socks they edge showed police officers as pigs cops are pigs he is not backed off from any of that stuff nobody has side him san francisco let him go at the end of the sees it first thing that just curious about all of this to be his you notice that san francisco's argo those liberal big city of the united states how come none of their fans are upset the cap ridiculous cut they actually cut of eur tried to demand that every somebody else sidibe we'll said francisco ahead of and they cut it the reason that the san francisco football fandom which is largely very liberal is it objected to this fix cap redick isn't any good so there's this whole debate about whether or not.
