"Our top story at eight o'clock, not a lot of change with Tropical Storm Aita as we move through the evening hours will continue to see tropical storm force winds and heavy rain as the storm moves up the coast National Hurricane Center director Ken Graham says the worst of it is on the east side of the storm center. It's these rain bands where you're getting the significant wins. You're getting tropical storm force winds. Well, Outlook. Even Orlando and look down here over portions of Fort Myers and Naples have seen these today and now getting into Broward County where we don't need any more rain. Ada is still on a path to make landfall north of the Tampa Bay area sometime tomorrow morning and then be out over the Atlantic By tomorrow evening. At the moment, it's west southwest of ST Pete, Moving north. At about 12 Miles an hour. We later got up close and personal to Florida's West central Coast somewhat sooner than expected, not giving residents much time to prepare. ST Pete Mayor Rick Kreismen says would have been different if we'd have a couple of days. But he also feels very fortunate. We are we're not talking about a storm, which, thankfully, didn't significantly intensify and become a two or three that took the sudden turn in that respect. I feel like we were all very fortunate, but having said that we still want you to take precautions. Savva Mayor Jane Castor says people need to be vigilance with the storm. Even though it's not a hurricane. Castor says conditions could get worse before they get better. The next couple of hours are going to be critical for our area. We're still looking at Tornado warnings and waken have water spouts out in the bay as well, and those could be very, very damaging As everyone is aware, Castor says. The weather can change in an instance people need to be aware of what's going on Long night ahead. In Pasco County, just south of eight is projected landfall. Monica Santiago, the Pascoe emergency management says there are no evacuation orders, shelters or not open, but she is urging residents.

We predicted it before the season. But in the recent years we've been used to getting at least one major hurricane or one hurricane to hit the coast of Florida. What are you looking at? For the rest of the season here coming up? Well, our well ahead of schedule. We didn't get into the freak out about in 2005 until October, and we're already on the Beta storm. I'm a feminist with Sara Pascoe, Sarah Brown and Yasmine Sherif

"I am a feminist. But when I sat down at this computer to do the same cool and discovered I was back lit. I realized. That I have. What women's magazines and shampoo bottles called fly away hair. That is because this morning I washed my hair and I did not do one thing to i. just let it dry because I don't see anyone i. don't go anywhere. So what? The fuck is the point of trying? Says a career good feminists it'd be? You, Know you Harry flyway. Say To. About because I hate it, I hate says. About Oh I hate it. I want to sit down and look lovely and I'm like you didn't try. That's why you take lovely naval. Will these amazing clueless? ICON myself in the butt. Because I've got such a hairy face I have this Chin Halo that if there's any even if it was like daylight coming in, it's like fibers we. Getting ourselves too much. That's. I stopped. I've started shaving a lot more. I never shaved tonight busy for life, but now because I see my toes, not unlike why am I? Have A, and then once I've shave them I might as well just do the whole neg. I'm a feminist spots. The Corona virus has changed me. Since I've been queuing outside Sainsbury's. been thinking really from about the nineties where women just woke up to the front of Cuba, a nightclub in the bounce. Just let you in. I think yeah, and like I mean that would be great. Wouldn't it for no other reason, but come on in ladies? Have a good time. The Vegetable I. I would completely accept it I would just also. The mid is just sort of like. If it was a pound for five CORTEX and wonder, get in free. Yeah, that's it yeah. Each night every night and Sainsbury's. I'm a feminist bought the other day on twitter I saw somebody quite tweeting and mocking somebody else. For posting in a very tone-deaf way about fingernail Polish during a really dramatic news cycle when everyone else was focusing on something more important and I looked to that also judge the person, but then what it said did sound interesting, so I quickly clicked on. Did Not favourite the mocking because I had done that, so I want that piece of apostasy out there. Yeah, but you did think I wonder what she's done with her nail furnish it was it was something interesting about punish walk, possibly meet Nelson, but in that moment I thought I do want to see was the complaint that it was too fancy distracting fancy, or was it that it was like kind of crack not very well. No, it was about some kind of new methods of. It's like stickers for your nails that look like nail Polish so that. During lockdown. No, it was the twitter fade, and everyone else was commenting on the important things happening in somebody had posted about stick on nail, Polish and someone quote tweeted it going way to pick up on the ZEITGEIST. And I went a hundred percent. Come on now. Don't be posted about that. Stick out loud because my nails are so bad so I just had a quick at the quickest. Shamed and off. But DEB's that does sometimes happen to people accidentally that they seem really insensitive, but because they haven't read anything on twitter, before Pisces when there was the blackout Tuesday pretty much everyone felt about instagram had put up a black square, and then something meaningful, and then one of my friends have done ahead you tour. Oh, and so it's just all of these black boxes at these kind of quote, said sending people to articles ways of informing yourself, and then just my friend. An had to straighten. Dogs, no! No I quite quite quite. I know that she has been. Having hair timelines on. "It was much much more to do with with how clitoris was to China and so she didn't experiment airman hunter male pseudonym in France where she measured the distance as she did find that women who had a was over sent me just getting the friction to insects is just so basic so ooh. It's just like Oh. It's physics if you'll put your face where it's GonNa get robbed on then. It's involved in new chasm. There's no such thing as a pure for journal. I should just say to listen to the Yoruba. You're not as wrapping my trousers. Thank you for clarifying so the show was about. That's an area which is so it's really interesting and ripe it so interesting in terms of female sexuality is what I want to talk about or not show and that's what then became animal and that's when I stopped doing much. I guess like informative stuff on stage. I've made a decision of two things that number one. I wanted to stand up to be sillier because I had the seriousness interesting to do and I was at home doom writings and it's nice balance and that's interesting you kind of decided that in terms of the sort of content you could make us a split almost of book and then. Yes yes call relies so it kind of coincided with me having bigger audiences and I think that's something else it's fed into it as actually you do have to be slightly more accessible some he would. I just want to come out and they just want to laugh. They don't necessarily want electric wrestling but you have a way that the kind of mind blowing some lives in this big that the people who come to your shows are missing all of that. What does that not bother is a balanced is having a little bit of each because when I'm on stage and I'm like that's what I have to be a comedian median but the rest of the time. I'm very serious. Is that true yeah but so you'd make jokes with your friends. Now never have all my friends are comedians so so there is occasionally funny. Things will happen but need hope they would but this was not first comedy show job. You don't have to after work if I was a builder. Aw I guess is in the Backhoe Sara Pascoe. You didn't build anything like of course not I think it's because we think of people who aren't media as a character trait and they're you should always be funny yeah and also with really good comics. What happens on stage seems so effortless that you can't believe it's constructed. That's years of practice and work like walking a tight rope or jock links like this happen like it's it's it's it's craft and the one about watching comics again and again he watched them do a flicker and look like just come to them and then they do that topper and it looks like they just thought of and there's no one in the audience going like that was written in apart and then he was arrested and then it was crossed out and then and that word was with that one that one yeah somewhat boring maneuver tings into it right the I think the introduction of your yeah we have to be careful with language because it creates the world yeah talking about representation and diversity in comedy. I mean in this instance you actually actually talking about the words sex work and the work was slavery and Yes anguishing between those two things but do you think that that kind of carefulness with language which sometimes this cooled works. This seems to be a kind of backlash sense that that's bad for comedy that is bad for jobs bad for joke structure. It really is so comedies comedy's really reductive. Most comedy talks everyone's heterosexual and everyone's very similar orders is very similar to the person speaking and when you put in caveats okay and I'll give you an example you stand up and you can't get round it but it's work so I wanted to say a joke about how men could absolutely understand. Periods men can absolutely understand periods they send on the blood and the and the pain just I understand how much it hurts to be kicked in the Bulls Slash essentially what I want to say right but then I realize if I say the phrase men about people who you don't understand periods and women who assuming all menstruate than I'm just now all trans people have owned this blurry area whether or not mental women so majority majority that say ninety nine point nine percent an audience just listens to the joke but for that other percentage you've told this is not your space. I deny you. I I deny your bodily experience like you have this whole thing so then you start going people with female body too and that's not too wordy okay then and and then people get in trouble because some people hate phrases where you go people who menstruate because then you end up as one percent of people going O R K Os du. Men menstruate wait yeah. Actually they do so you you work all these phrases round and even things like ladies and gentlemen and who identifies for those things also ladies and gentlemen the kind kind of old fashioned yeah most people do it's background. They don't hear the phrase ladies and gentlemen but if you know someone who is non binary and if I didn't find or you just want to have an inclusive space. You need to have a way of saying. Welcome everybody that does go. Oh that's it you just say so. Now I when Azure go good evening guys thank you so much for coming and no one hears that phrase and goes Oh. She's decided not to say ladies and gentlemen but but for me for myself. I haven't been lazy and gone. That's the phrase it doesn't matter as some people on either of those things but then other times when you try you try to get round but I don't think if comic said I just don't care that's fine. It's like it's not a police state and for me. It's not like Oh. I'll get an angry tweets. It's it's much more like. I really love that person to enjoy my show and not have to think about it but it seems that you've made a decision as a comedian that you don't want to it just offend people for the sake of it when yeah it'd be more careful. I just think it's being very careful exactly what you're saying how it could be construed and Kenny stand by it because it's not about not offending people book because offense is actually sometimes very as in on both sides people most people who come to a comedy space or not expecting a safe space. They're expecting you to be very rude if you got a group of people as long as it's not fun with people people find it really funny so like if I was to. I'm very blunt. If I was to talk about how much I hated Brunettes. That would be really funding. If the routine was funny it would be really funny because it was so clear. I didn't mean it. They're not an endangered group uh-huh yeah so I had a routine and a show once that was about not liking art and I really thought it was such a perfect thing for me to do because ours is the strongest thing saying that you find boring or don't like galleries by and it was amazing. I offended people with the percentage. Drop her or anything like that. I thought this is perfect punching up like it's ridiculous to say that you hate all of like all other thing and you don't like music. It's so ridiculous but I did it on the Apollo and I had a couple of people going who drew the pattern on your dress an artist kind of thing when you go the whole thing we've comedy actually that is exaggeration and hyperbole ably and and often yet being quite nasty for the effect of like titillating people and actually you can't completely take outfit like e can't just be nice final question. What's the best about your job. the best bit about my job. I think essentially I've just bought a flat and so so ridiculous a couple of flapper do cardio for twelve years as it should honor. God like jokes bought me a house imagine that joke sport me a house so just feels like such an immense privilege and I'd feel very warm in love with all of it. I Love My job Sarah. Thank you so much. Thank you so listening to that interview. I thought wow this is a person who is extremely open. I really liked that. She sort of laid bare air like here are my biases. here the things. I knew when I didn't I did research and this is what I learned you know and that's earnest and I think we're just taught that. You know just say you're hot. Take with authority and you will be respected for it but sometimes it's more ambiguous than that so her ability to say. I didn't I know anything about sex work and I spoke to sex workers and now this is how I feel. I just thought that was sort of an honest journey. I liked it yeah. We didn't see enough of that really the idea pursuit of changing your mind in public or admitting. You don't know something where you were wrong about something. I think politicians could learn a lot from her about how to say times have changed aged and I knew nothing. Now I know more and actually what I like about her. She sang for example about sex packers. You know I actually still have biopsies. I still have prejudices and I'm not totally okay with this subject. I'm GonNa try and be an ally and I'm going to try and do the work of de stigmatizing this but I'm also admitting the I'm not fully on board and I liked that honesty about right because these topics are like so complicated in nuance the even if you unpack them all they're still I mean I don't know about you. I feel uncomfortable taking a point of view on what's right and what's wrong about sex work and about men who pay for sex. You know it's so hard to make a decision. "I'm straight so don't get aroused by the female the body very much anyway so I look a bomb like that or headed acute. It's kind of as invisible as everybody else shorts and and he was so angry and again. It was something that kind of his after we've been broken up. I kept thinking about his anger. He thought that her parents shouldn't let her go out dressed like that. I guess my own experiences having been a teenage girl and my mom was very permissive like she'd never would have said you're not going out dressed like that by new from kind of TV programmes and films that was something that parent said Yeah so at the time you were angry with his reaction but in the course of kind of thinking about and researching it that I got the sense that you're kind of the shifted the debate on this subject. There's been a real exercise in empathy for me because I think I considered male arousal as a kind of monster that you couldn't control and there was something I felt quite resentful. Resentful about which was the someone you might not know and especially when I was a younger woman a stranger might just look at you and be aroused housed or might think certainly or my sleazy comment and so the book really was such an exercise in empathy for mix. I kept having to think about what what does it feel like to to have arousal and what messages are men being told and there was some things for me that were like. I'm Nikki forty but lightbulb moments of I've always hated being approached in a Bah aren't if someone comes over and says. Can I buy you a drink. I have always obviously not that. I want to talk to you. I'm not here with you reading a book on my phone by I myself. I'm with friends. Why would I wanNA talk to you but thinking about that other person like Oh why. Why do they come over. Oh sometimes they might just think we might have a good conversation. We might mean something to each other. It made me so much softer towards them and also thinking Mena told before dating apps go offer the white women a drink. That's how you say I'm interested and also we have this really kind of out dated. I did master posted provides whether there is a drink link on a first meeting to show. Oh Hello I'm showing my interest or paying on dates and got it made me so much more compassionate to the male side of things. It seems like they some of this this empathy that you can kind of digging into in the book that you've got this also from understanding biology evolution a bit more so it's not just the cultural precious that that men have did you find that you've changed your mind. I mean you say that in researching the book. You realized that you had these deep prejudice. Yes maybe three or four years ago if you said something something to me like Oh. What do you think about sex workers. I had absolutely view that's they should be protected but speaking to people get paid hundreds of pounds on our about the decision made made a big difference to me because I realized that there are people who have levels of coercion going on with their sex work but the first thing is that our current legal system makes them more vulnerable. Everybody and there's a thing with feminism that you think that decriminalizing sex work is to say that it's fine that it happens and it feels like it goes against everything like I just. I don't want any woman to be murdered anyone to be beaten up vulnerable. I don't want anyone but actually you realize that. All of the law stigma makes people's lives so much harder and have the side of it. Is that always thinking of things where men are the aggressors and women are always the inverted commas almonds are victims and there are lots of men who so six hundred zero female sex buyers and what's interesting about that. Is it exactly the same power dynamic there. There were women who traveled to other countries to pay for sex with younger men usually of a different race yeah they don't have as a physical ability to dominate but in every other level. It's the same and it seems like in the book. That's the kind of sticking point for you is that power imbalance seems like it's the problem. I think right I still I I really struggle not with the idea of anyone being willing to sell sex or choosing to do it so that's been a big like Oh. I've listened to people and I believe them. People who work yes I can't get on board is still is the people buying it I didn't I had some email L. interviews with people who pay for sex. I didn't have any one on one interviews and I just I just did at wanting to make friends with them. I just realized that I just unto judgmental. I just I really judge it. I really judge it. It's not I think they're all murderers but they were the people I interviewed with so they consider themselves. Such gentlemen I treat them. Well and I'm not saying that their sexist. I'm not saying they exist in the rest of their life and they don't think all women are purchaseable just a ball so it's nothing like that is just the actual act of what they do. They have sex is somebody who doesn't want to have sex with them. I guess it confronts so much with me in everything but what I thought saying I do want to have sex and this is my job. Yes so here's the difference if someone wants to have sex and you pay them anyway. I am actually fine with that his the logic. I've come up with this since Oh finished a book okay. If someone wants to pay sex right fine you can do it and it's almost a a- and said they can pay someone for sex saying that the setting sex said eighty pounds okay. Give give them eighty pounds great then they can decide if they want to have sex with you not but you have to pay them anyway anyway. You don't find out 'til afterwards so there's no problem with the tool is this. If you don't really want to you don't have to because when it's your job you have to do it and that's the huge argument is that Labor Labor Labor and some people labor with their bodies with their bodies or they massage other people with their bodies and species we can't help it with evolve to connect sex sex with the Obama fixations of offspring and so we do have these very very deeply inbuilt prejudices sexy something special and it's still too much for me. I would really compartmentalize but while saying that I'm admitting that that's my bias feel like that's the thing about biases or any kind of opinion or prayers. Sometimes it's possible to confront it and change your mind yes but no yeah or up to the point all and also. I don't know I think I can still I think wh where I'm happy is that I can really believe in the rights of sex workers and wants to be an ally but I I think I can do while still going yeah. I don't think I'm ever GONNA be alright with people paying for sex. It's interesting that is that what you do and you'll burqas you. Interrogate that that feeling that you have that you don't feel like it's okay and you also go back to kind of looking at some of the evolutionary reasons why you might be responding yes to that. Yes yes 'cause. There's always a reason behind the stuff is as you point to be scientists that you're you're citing but those reasons seem so far away from kind of twenty-first-century. Lihue Board that actually it's difficult like talking about may guarding the idea that you don't want if you're a male. You don't want your female to be impregnated by somebody else. You're going to be kind of jealous and domineering and make sure that doesn't happen and so in your book something I found really interesting is the essay that that was quite a successful strategy chief. Yes those guys because they kind of made sure that they're women wasn't with another man and therefore hostile and they're jealous domineering g yes yes. I mean the problem is so programmatic so on PC and also some people would think well. Why are you even talking about those things when they're so negative with decided that call very the antisocial traits but I think sometimes the problem we talk about people in human beings as society if we do from the necker like it's all conscious sometimes sometimes misunderstands and the fact is not excusing anyone because I do believe in decision making and I do believe that we make conscious choices but there are certain on things that can shape you into being more likely or that might be the influence underlying something. I think it makes more sense than just the air travel. I just grew up and started hitting pay. I'm sorry trevor so it's not just nature. It's not just nurture yes. There seems to be a sense in the book. Sometimes sometimes we haven't paid enough attention to nature. I e the biology I think came really actionable alongside feminism actually because no one wanted to be told that they were something because of their sex sex and I think that's absolutely right because people were fighting for equality so can we sometimes very precarious and why burke rather than put all this stuff into a comedy show. Well comedies very flippant. It has to be so people will listen to your routine a routine. You WanNa talk about politics. If you want to talk about about don't trump by brexit there things everyone knows about and they're very happy to joke and tell your opinion and then some comics are really really good kind of putting information into we stand up show but I the electorate people all. You're not very funny all your the pits aren't funny so that's how it was this book. If I had written as a stand up show Oh that'd be so many areas I couldn't have talked about because it didn't have flippancy about them because they're not funny. It's not that funny and to make it funny. You have to be like sarcastic. Nick and you have to treat it like it's unimportant like what does become really hectoring so so they kind of fight against show comedy for licensing the mood but you pick your moments to relieve tension because some moments in life and in books should be tense like and you'd be like and here is the reason there's domestic violence. Perhaps still to this very day and it's not supported. Probably why a government like you. Don't WanNa Pierce that you just have to say. I know that moment for Jake next paragraph. It's funny because I think lots of your shows have dealt with that. How do you say what you want to say and talk about stuff that isn't necessarily inherently always funny yeah and be funny looking back through you some of you kind of early reviews and the reserve review of a two thousand fourteen share that says it's much lecture on sexual anthropology as it is comedy set yes yes that's true of lots of what yeah that's fine buttons so this is where the first book came out from came from that show and I was talking about Josephine being bonaparte she she was the woman who saved Sigmund Freud from the Nazi. She's paid for him to come to London and she was in Napoleon's niece and because she was fourteen she believed as it is the time because of segment that vaginal orgasm was the adult woman's wave orgasm clitoral one was an immature and so obviously he didn't know anything about physiology. He believed that women ought to these will marriage women because of the Times married women who needed critical stimulation were stunted in their growth. Ah Josephine Napoleon she couldn't have the she was having criticisms and so she had a Christmas moved. It was the first thing she had it moved closer to have Jonah. That's incredible operation and was the huge thing I didn't open with that. She had to join a moved and then she moved back when it didn't work wow but then she had this theory that has nothing to do with psychology..

"We have two guests today. One guest is my daughter so I have caught children and she and I saw this together. It's got daughter or son that you nominate as a grown up in a child because sometimes parents imposed babies on you and no one knows what that personality is going to be and you could work might be. They might be very sporty and then of course it won't so this is a child you have a connection with and you make an agreement with them that you're going to be a mother to ask the parents don't just random chartered a bus stop and my coach clemency cancer. I know is an title Fintech Eco Warrior and she's nine years old and our August is almost as impressive. She's worked for medicine South Frontier and four for the future now as the c o o that's right the CEO was a woman all along of the climate group said please welcome to the stage Sakata. I'd Helen talks screen even check actually using music so there we go and Thomas sorting. Mike's now clemens e you recently took the day off school much to your principles disapproval and and Chagrin odd. I think you should look so thrilled about but I'm delighted that you do. Could you tell us about the letter you wrote to her. I wrote let's let's it's just talking about climate change and it's about why it's important and why it's more important than stupid attendance. Do you read the letter I was this just to clarify. It was written after you've gone on strike for the day and she hadn't been happy. It was it beforehand to explain explain yourself all she knew you'd also if you could have the day off and she said no and then you wrote this letter now. I wrote the letter to tell her that it was taken the deal. She wasn't asking she was tended. I should put clemencies wearing a pin that says full-time feminist yeah. She's about sixty s news news. Okay all right so clemency. Read your letter. I'm sure you'll agree that a problem a a big problem going on in this world at this minute. You know what it is. It's climate change. Climate change is ruining the S. and killing. It's wonderful animals. It could even end up flooding our world if we don't stop now why do sows thirty one global warming has to be kept to a maximum of one point five degrees. Celsius or also also significantly worse than the risk of drought floods extreme heat in poverty for hundreds of millions of people. This is why I've decided to go on strike. I know it may affect my attendance by believe climate. Change is much more important. I'm very sorry but I can't just sit and wait while this is happening. You'll sincerely clemency Z. Now the reason I brought to clemency it's because I know she's authentic. She's not immediate child. WHO's been trained to kind of go out January. I know clemency and I know that this is authentic to you. How long ago did you start to worry about. The Environment Arment show by Cinco is like three years ago when you six yeah I mean it's a lot for six-year-old to stop worrying about the environment. That must be very scary to think about such huge things about the future just like how can the seventies everyone's really worried about nuclear nuclear apocalypse. Salak children to also absorb is a lot for adults to absorb. Does it scare you today or do you think we can sort out a bit of birth does scare me by the children could sort out that's amazing and you've done other things in your life. You've outside eating meat. Is that true yes. Your mother and father still eat meat but you told your mother. I'M NOT GONNA eat meat anymore while ago Halava goes on. I think that was around around August last year new stock to them yeah. How does it feel to know that you're a better person than your mother. Who is a close personal friend of mine? Yeah well cooking around in there but you'll mom hasn't cut me. She's making special meals for you. Does it make you feel a bit smoke. It doesn't make me feel smug. That makes me feel happy that she's telling me like home. Be Everything you. This is totally amazing. Clemency do you as a nine year old have because we did a lot quicker than I mean. I hope you come to my funeral and read the poem however something like that could write some start writing something now maybe so. I hope that we do leave you a better earth than the one that we could do. Do you have anything to say to the generations ahead of you about how you feel about and what you'd like us to do. I think we should ban on cars agree with that. I got a lot of taxis invented this 'cause made out of balloons and so if you have anything that they just pop and say slow backups and they are going electric now the comeback came. I mean today was electric so again COMMUNICA warrior Is there anything else you'd like us to know. Do I've stopped. Allow my parents. Take me to places in Carson on electric. Oh God well clemency Carta. You're better than us at always wilby. Thank you so much. Thank a clemency wants to stay so she's GonNa hang out okay so now Jalan clocks and you are the CEO of the climate group and feel free to chip in at any time clemens as well. If you're GONNA stay at a dinner party feel free to the rules. This one doesn't have any foods just in case you think anything's is coming and he says to me. Yes yes exactly guys no food so Helen. Tell US luckily tonight. The guilty firmness going to stop climate change. We should have covered this topic before really. Can you tell us what should we be doing. Thank you and it's great to be here talking about this and we're really excited to see the school strikes so I've been working on this for a long time. Lots of people have been working and and what we've really found difficult is to get any interest actually from the public because it's always seem like you know it's in the future and it's probably a bit far away and code here anyway so you know and there was a thing in parliament. If an piece often she said you know you grow wine in Scotland and everyone yeah that's nice and so it's really hard to get people engaged on the other hand. Some parts of the world will be completely flooded and die but we'll be able to groom wine and Scott Scott Good example of how people don't seem to be very difficult to absorb the the effects. I just think it's going to be fine. There's already refugee crisis because of climate change is already happening. It's not actually a future thing is to the Senate until a couple of years ago. Scientists scientists weren't willing to say at this event happened because of climate change and that really has changed in the last two years where they've winning say yeah. This is the climate changing Margaret. Thatcher actually gave a really speech speech about it in the seventies so it's been really nine. This is coming for a long time but neighbor if either chauvinist Clio humongous talk show clemency lucky you if the answer's Popstar don't do that. She was a prime minister that we had yeah. She was a bit like Theresa May scary. That's difficult. I'll show you videos later anyway so we've had this issue. If you did talk about climate change you all these big big things things the big problem in the world's ending and everything people say what can I do and we would end up going. Well Change Light Bulbs so there was this big kind of people to our value. The action got this gap between his big problem and here's what I can do as an individual and so that's why I started kind of making this joke if you actually told people what they had to do they don't want to hear it and you can say stop flying. Don't have kids. Don't eat meat and people go right from now. What can I do so everything else is kind of second order but what you can do a and we've suicide is by from the right business vote for the right politicians and that's all very well but there's only a few businesses are doing the right thing and very few politicians are willing to go out behind the kind of radical message that we need about how much change we need so that's why. I think it's really exciting. CD school strikes because we're starting to actually get some traction and people paying attention and I think what's great is especially shows that individuals can make a difference so the started with Greta sitting outside on her own outside the Swedish parliament on strike with her sign. How old was she when she was fifteen or sixteen. She's sixteen now and I think she's fifteen when she started and it took thirty weeks and it got up to millions of kids and if you don't know this this this course in birth and Burke we know each other but I think she has one naming a person if he didn't edna look up videos on youtube she's got lots of amazing speeches and she came and gave a speech last year the big climate conference for the UN so she's he's sort of this individual thing saying adults look. This is our future. We really need you to take these sorts of radical action and now he's saying school. Children get behind that and what I think is is interesting. If you look at the age of the children doing this sort of nine up into their teens and then the age of their parents probably in their forties forties and fifties actually that's the age of the people that we work with the business and the politics I say man advisory but I'm politicians who made these decisions and we've seen the thing one of the things I'm I'm sick of is going to climate conferences and you get these people sunny very worthy speeches like it's all about the children and really hasn't been until now. It's very much paying lip-service this. Id of future generations actually now kids are going home and saying we need you to take action and I think that can really help us to kind of galvanize much more move the sort of action that we need to really deal with it so is it in the same way that children used to pressure their parents into buying for bees. Now parents are being pressured because they do to sent to their children. Children the amount of women who have said to me. Oh I love your podcast. My daughter made me listen to it or my daughter was listening to US said mom you really love this all listening to it in in her room and I started listening in or women who say get lectured by the time I'm not the right kind of feminist Emma. She says Oh we've got to check your privilege and Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah and I'm thinking I I got bit knowing but tissue was right so it's so he's at true to that no matter what age you are telling your parents are more likely to listen and if you know anyone of influence you need to go in and have this conversation yeah. I mean I always an environmental you kind of. Have these mental movement over the years. I've seen a lot of people want to convert people so I'm going to kind kind of come and lecture your I'm going to give you all the signs and then you will make the right decision.

"Accommodate the incredible go. Thank you so much and thank you so much for having made so of the three things that are important are health that we can do on a personal level. I'm two of them. I don't have children on the Vegan. Actually as I've said already ready I've recently got this little puppy and it's really odd thing that people refer to him as a for baby. Call a for baby now how far Oh baby and I don't really like that phrase because for baby kind of insinuates that you're compensating for something nearly forty and I don't have children and you can't compensate for something something with something better walkway better than a baby didn't even even have to rip my for giant to get some money but he's not big. I'm a Vegan this puppy and it didn't even even occur to me not to feed him mate. It didn't occur to me at all and since no because of the Internet on people's angry messages there are some vegans who give a AH pets are a Vegan Diet and I'm sure they're very healthy and very happy. She's what these people are claiming but for me. It's like it's a personal choice. I choose not to eat meat. Animals eat meat. Their system evolved that way and what kind of well sourced me but I've also realized that I'm a Vegan so really love animals love them so much and I respect them and I hate the way they're treated the way that they killed. You'd prefer my dog so all those animals and so now I understand nationalism. I understand how it locks how the empathy kind of gets off the people closer so so. I understand it. I also Sir Oh so I've been Vegan for ten years and in that time I've had eight boyfriends so how so many overlapping dizzy and all of those boyfriends when I went out with them they weren't vegans. They all ate meat but after breaking up with me they all became came Vegan. Some of them straight away some of them four or five years later. They'll sit in contact with me. They sent me a WHATSAPP messages when there's a new vegan cheese or cafe and just in case you're thinking got really lecture people about veganism. I promise you I don't I really feel like we're all adults. We have the same information we make personal choices. I must have facts and statistics about factory farming in my vagina canal and then on my cervix one of those horrible pictures. Sometimes you know someone will share it on facebook. It's like a phenomenal hanging off an abattoir with no skin on and then you have on funding and then they're poor penis is in seismograph. It's like going backwards. Sinful Woods grimly stirring the eagles of humanity. I'm not seeing any explanation and some paint must be faster readers another exact science. It's not a podcast I did some took the stand up and this impression of the penis like inside me it kind of having this terrible time and it's definitely definitely but the Buddhist thing I've eh done and if I ever tried to our Gig I kind of wonder beforehand. I've got this new idea. I think he's a to route and at the end of this woman she's waiting. She was old. I'm not being rude. She was exceptionally out. She was wasting for me and she said Oh. You know that bit that you thought it was to root. I said yes and she goes. No you should say and that's why they all throw up in. It is a very distinct I've ever. I'm so obsessed with that woman. Now who is shooting been like I'm hoping it's made from the future the way of time traveling and going back to my old gigs filth. That's if there is a future guys. Save Safe Planet. Thanks bye..

"One wants to do this so don't please don't write in and go. I just had a baby and you maybe feel sad. Obviously this is why I've been advised by Helen Clark's right and if you have children or young baby we're going to have children then. Let's save the planet for them to live on and if you don't get to have this extra smugness created anymore. Consumer ensued partners an uninterrupted brunch. That's my reward. I mean if the planets have an old person's home. I am aware that the festival will not oh come and visit me there and that's all I've invested in and if it did come and visit me that I'll show some student groups so why uh-huh chuckle at me. The other thing is you can do is be Vegan yeah so take take the yeah. I've definitely really made big inroads. I'm not speaking to you or is being spectrum that we're all on in a way no one's eating meat right now it again on the back steak associated with Jerky in a bag. I'm not speaking of vegans. That's clear Zia but I'm more vegan walls and I tend to be Pesky. -Tarian and I tried to cut dairy by which I mean. I've stopped having milk and coffee but but also the other day I went to some. It was one of these parties women marshaled in together and snacks really delicious. They're like little BITs albuque- autism autism less than a Vegan and she said Yeah. We just wanted easier. She's everything's beginning. Gluten free then. We've got no problems that needs to be. That's what it needs to be. The default is his. I'm living better pocket and I speak from a place of privilege that that's what it needs to be. I'm aware this much broader issues. Bart thought thought that so your Vegan so you picked two of these boxes yeah and the other one is travel on airplanes as little as possible how you know on a plane three three because you I went to see your show which is brilliant at the plate here and it was recorded for the machine absolutely brilliant and you had a whole routine about flying business class yes. I only you bring this up because I think you're GonNa make others feel intimidated by your charging. Anyone was intimidated and that's one of the things actually we will have hypocrisy in our lives. I think you have to Orion and say but my boyfriend's Australian this is now good excuse for getting out of his friends weddings and seeing his family environment yeah I just care about carbon emissions too much and I'm going to be really thrilled about that going out on the podcast though because some of his friends and family might listen to it I knew in the falling asleep before de las.

"The foster foster this one cells the more dates they'll put on so if you're in New York and he wanted to see the guilty feminist live book today this episode is All about climate change and one of our August is Helen Clarkson the amazing CEO of the Climate Group some of the suggestions for how we can really so climate change a quite provocative there in the context context of a comedy show. You might think Oh this idea or this suggestion. I'm not sure about that so I sat down and had a long conversation with Helen which we've put at the end of the show said before you respond have a listen to that more complex conversation. It's such a hot topic. Climate change in more ways than one and we really really do need to address it. The scientists and we've only got twelve years to slow climate change so we do want to join together to be as practical as possible about the problem as the human race and it is climate week this week climate week is in New York City. I'm going to be there for that. It's running coordination with the UN and the city of New York but there are events all over the world wherever you are put climate change and events into Google and see what is happening. I think there's the school strike is to support as the extinction rebellion is all sorts of marches things that you can get involved in so please. Google climate week and your area and you will be able to find things and now this is one of my favorite podcasts in a long time. I have to be honest. It's a very very funny charming episode so so on with the show who wherever wherever you listen to the show name in the car. Thank you where beds in fact last. I've stopped asking this because sometimes I one time my Austin and someone said I use it to fall asleep. Uh what a compliment to a pod code is is that you must intimate relationship with her podcast fall asleep to you. Don't you don't just go. I listened to it. Go back to remember you often. We listen so it's a huge compliment. That's when they meet you because you digitally whisper in their ear is therefore food and then you're right there being real wilbur so maybe I should do more not if you're falling asleep. Yes your wake-up. More confidence doesn't look who you oh aw okay fun fest. I'm a feminist but that it doesn't mean I'm not fun at parties for instance. I don't go to parties because I find getting dressed up so stressful. The more things I try on the less confidence I have all the while shouting myself in my head. That value isn't connected from what I look like. I'm a strong independent woman except I'm not I'm crying the Lua crop top because I I found the face of Winston Churchill in my cellulite and also my knees this thing. They looked like babies smoking. It's cheeks in a cigarette. I need to say that I mean not now. That would be rude. That's why we're sure to the environment for anyone. I'm feminist but I'm really thrilled to hear that. Sara Pascoe has cellulite. That's not my one. I'm a feminist but somebody I met Matt Beauty Journalists yesterday and she kinds Lee gave me something for the beauty of actually given and it was called girl lane youth protector. Don't judgment judge me because it was just it's a sunscreen really it's a protector but when I put it on my face it was like putting Kashmir my face. It was dislike which is a Vegan. You can't do it was like like pushing fairy tears on it was so amazing and I just looked at it and I thought look and I'm so tempted. Go on instagram and go. Oh I read this because I thought they might give me some more and I thought I can't do that. This is not a feminist icon going on instagram and going ooh. I love of US protected by girl eight hoping to get some in the post but if anyone is listening from Lane I'm quite keen on having some more and the reason I feel it's okay because I normally don't like products products that say you in them. Somehow holds you to be this premium. What's wrong with getting older but I did think on this occasion. It's not trying to get more useful. It's protector and we all have some youth right so they use that. I have is protecting nuts. It's a line of Defense eight snow. It's not trying to anti H me. I don't want anything anti-aging unless you've got really good product. You think will work but you'll falling asleep sleep later. You're falling asleep shop eighty five hundred seven. Am Street and W ONE UH-HUH ZERO AG if you want to protect your into those because I've looked at the price of it and I would like it for free is it because that's the thing with how much they charge for those creams but let's not don't ruin it because I want them to send it to me for free. If we start slacking off the price there as a relation between how is the emperor's new clothes and more they cost less they do it you maybe running out talking layer of cells that as they win tonight they know they called merchant so come on. I am a feminist. Oh I'm guessing into conundrum when I'm walking my new puppy so his very small and very sweet and actually says a lot about our society culture people call him her and Negoti softly. How old is she and they just instantly assumed because his sweet and I don't think his sex is relevant to any conversation oversaturation so I don't correct people but it also means. I don't feel bad so I'm kind of disguising. I'm hiding his penis with my hands when I pick him up so we can move on so they don't go. Why didn't you have you been. Have you been saying she's lovely. She's also what does it matter why it's so odd that they say she and I feel a bit weird for him and it just it doesn't matter they're. GonNa pregnant or something I think it was somebody who was but I must check it out but as somebody on twitter saying they might be non binary and they were saying if someone was generous my dog and I say oh. It's actually she they really figuring Gama sorry. I'm I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm starting. They never do it again but they can't remember my pronouns yeah. That's actually a really good point. Yeah it's crazy. It's crazy that we do all the time automatically. I'm a feminist Bart one. I really really really do want diversity of casting on television in comedies and dramas. I really want that so much. Sh I have made a huge exception in my mind for good omens because I desperately want to see David tennant Michael Sheen and Jon Hamm all in the one shot what is just have got so excited about the trailer done so you've taken up of set. David tennant Michael Sheen and Jon Hamm all playing playing supernatural beings and hanging out together and we into some magical at the lulls they had when we get to imagine that for free Cairo was admittedly lately fun Lauria to diabetes. He's I'm earning about everything. The world has changed. They don't understand what's woke. They say what used to be and I got up in the morning to have a terrible Arab time. I'm a feminist but the work of Simone Dubose Law and Betty Friedan combine did not speak to me move me or inspire respond the anywhere near as much as the headmaster speech. INFLA- back psychological live no ah so trick so cheap if you haven't seen it yet you get out your infiltrates. I'm a feminist bont bont one I was. I was genuine very sorry. When I heard about the female astronauts and we're about to the first female only space book they were about to go and then they said Oh sorry we don't have enough space suits use so we can't because we'd have soups in women's sizes and we were like Oh anyway one. I was very sorry about that and I really was because these astronauts waited. It's a long gone. All famous baseball couldn't do it. When I read more about the story it said we've only got one spacesuit in a medium and I did think yeah have any of US based. bitches tried to go swimsuit shopping for an extra launch. Get back to me then. How was that not. That's geiss pitches.
