"Gonna make there is a cutthroat and brutal sense to what's about to occur, I think, to be one of those 36 drivers in cup. In the next four or 5 years, it's going to be immensely tough. And if you're there, it will be very rewarding, but also excruciatingly high pressure. Sounds like it's time for another drive to survive. NASCAR style, but maybe, I don't know. Done this way. Let's say something illustrates it that way. All right, before I let you get out of here, speaking of drive to survive, I know Atlanta is coming up next for you, but you mentioned coda. Are you sticking around for the Cup race at cota? I guess I didn't even think about that because Jensen being there. Somebody like yourself, I just figured if there's ever going to be a race, you're going to stick around for it would be this one. I know, I would love to. My travel has been so crazy the last I've been living out of my carry on bag for 6 weeks. So I have a washer dryer, but it's very tough. I was thinking of trying to go and Mondays, Mondays are highly important. It's my busiest day of the week. We do meetings and simulator, post and pre, it's a very busy day. So, that is TBD, I guess. Yeah, TBD. I think I'll probably come home and then I will be you'll see those guys there that weekend. Regardless. Yeah, I mean, it'll be around. I won't have a single moment. That schedule last year when I did the truck. It's been on the, you know, it's back to back practice qualifying practice qualifying. And then it's back to back races but I think last year I had like 15 minutes between I ate a banana and chug some water and then jumped in the car. And that is a long day. So I don't know. We'll see. But I've pumped to see Jensen coming. Kimmy coming. Jimmy. Jimmy's in the tailor's in the race. George Taylor, this is wild. Connor Daly is in the ring. It's just like oh cool. Like how did the stars align for like these 5 guys to be in two of them and making their cup debuts in the companies together? Spectacular and I'm telling you, my level of confidence in that NASCAR is just sitting on a powder keg of opportunity possibility in the next couple of years is just more emboldened by what we're seeing here. And my sister who's LA based and all her friends ever wanted to come to the races and all this stuff and she's very entwined with the music world and social media influencers and all these people. And everyone was just like, wow, I'd love to go to a nest. NASCAR looks so cool. And I'm like, just give it time. Give it time. Once we make them care, we got to get people to care, but once they care, you know I love F one. And it's been my favorite thing for a long time. But amazing thing about what is current there is that people care highly about the reality show aspect of it all, right? But the actual product, the thing they, everything centers around. The most compelling thing on the planet. It is if you know what to look for, but it's not the most compelling. I'm sitting here being like, the storylines, the pressure, what's about what's occurring in the Cup Series is ten X or a hundred X the level was happening over there. There's more stories, more people, more opportunity for stories. And you have on track a product that I believe is far superior in terms of entertainment. The story writes itself as we like to say in my biz. If we solve all the ingredients, you have to tell it. So it's available. But I'm excited to be at least a French part of it right now. And hopefully I will be a main story by the end of the year of the Xfinity series, but it's been a blast and it's just super cool opportunity. We're enjoying following it. So you're never a fringe player in our world. Thanks for as always for being a part of the NASCAR and BC podcast Parker is good to see you again. Appreciate it, buddy. Thank you. We appreciate Parker Kligerman for joining us on the NASCAR on NBC podcast. Thanks to motor sports manager, Emily convoy for recording this episode and again, thanks to Parker for giving up an hour of his very busy schedule

"Parker drive to the track history, but you also see the huge disappointment lap three John Hunter Nemechek in the Gibbs car takes you out. There's no other way to say this out. So how do you deal with that? Or have you dealt with this? I saw him Sunday after Phoenix in the entryway to the hotel, and I said, hey, I stood in front of his car and gave him a gesture. And then I said, hey, I hate you right now. And he goes, I know, I'm sorry, I should have called you or something. And I said, oh, it's good. I was just like, you know, it'll be reciprocated at one point. Is it just so you know? And it was this matter of fact, I like someone could be. And then we chatted and we were fine, but I was like, you know, we're not even yet. So because he literally just drove through us. And lap three. Lap three. We're in 5th or 6th place, wherever we're at, there's just no, there's nothing to gain there. They're losing nothing. He drove to the lead anyway from that point on, it was just a very ill, just stupid move. And it really set us back because I think on that day we would have scored a whole stage point. So, and we probably would have easily finished the top ten, we're still going to finish the top ten. Having to come back on that last run for like 14th. So a day hurt us and didn't appreciate it. I guess what was surprising to me too is like he's not in the exact same position as you are in your career, but he's been through a similar journey, he had his kind of shot early, then he went to cup and ran that full year with front row, then he set it up and I got back to the truck series and now he's kind of back in. I can't give him dispensation or whatever or leeway for like, hey, just a young driver. No, no, he kind of knows what you're doing with too. That's what surprises me about. The funniest part was right before the race at driver intros, we were chatting and we were like, man, it's cool. We're here in the extreme series together. I was like, yeah, man, it's cool. We've never had an issue. I know I've seen him have some issues with other drivers and there's a lot of people that feel that he does those moves often. But I've never had an issue with him personally. We've raced each other a ton in the trucks and the next 50 and I think even a little bit in cup. Yeah, we didn't cup in 2019. And never had an issue. I always thought like, hey, it's a pretty good driver. Guy wins races and does a great job. And whatever. And yeah, I was just like, what was that, man? Come on, of all guys. At some point, I said to someone at some point you have to be responsible for the nose of your race car. Just like if you run in the back of someone on the road, you've got to be responsible, you're going to take responsibility for that. When I made a boneheaded move at Daytona and finally saw the replay, I was like, well, yeah, that was my fault. That was a 100% my fault. That was pretty dumb. I'm sorry. When I spell out Sheldon Creed, I was like, I'm sorry. That was not intended. Not even a little bit. But you know, I was in position and be like, look, I made a mistake. I'm sorry. So you'll have that big time auto racing, but we've had an initiation by the flame, this first four races, but hopefully we can clean it up here going forward. You're still making the most out of what you've had. I want to change the young driver narrative to something a little bit more positive because what I've noticed so far this year, Parker, and again, maybe I'm over analyzing all sports writers, journalists do, but there's you who I think is a great story. Josh berry obviously has made the championship round expanding as a winner Xfinity now getting the opportunity in the 9 car. Your buddy Ryan Truex finishes second at Phoenix. I was awesome. Yeah, that was really cool. And he's one of those guys who I put him in kind of your class, your category of if only these guys got the shot for like a full season. Maybe they would be in the Cup Series. Does it seem is it my imagination or is the narrative changing maybe a little where it seems like younger drivers like yourself or Josh Barry or Ryan Truex? Are you guys getting more opportunities? Yeah, I don't know if what 7 years ago if a Josh Barry gets the chance he's getting right now with Dale's team and to be in the 9 car, he did a great job this past week at Phoenix. I know I do. I don't because I didn't. So couldn't get these opportunities. Ryan, you know, I know he's been an out of different deals, but I think he's in a good position of trying to do quality over quantity in that 19 car, which he's done a good job of these last years. And so I think it's about just trying to follow the path that gives you the best opportunity to win. Because at the end of the day, you have to win, right? What got me this ride was winning in the truck series. What will get me to continue here and I'm not even going to talk about the other side because that's part of my pack to myself this year's blinders on that. I don't even care about I don't even look at the other stuff going on. This is the only thing to me that matters is winning this series. You know, if I win, everything takes care of itself, right? And I think for guys like myself, Josh Barry, and we're 32 years old. Maybe ten, 15 years ago, there was this huge push of younger younger younger. I don't know if I get that same sense. And I think people are getting very smart about the analytics of understanding that personally, what I know about myself and what I've seen, I wouldn't hire a driver on the age of 28. Unless it's a William baron. There's obviously outliers to everything. But I think predominantly there's a massive benefit to experience in age in the sport. And it's very evident with the analytics that say what, the peak age is 39 for a NASCAR Cup Series driver. There's a reason for that, right? So I think it's a very fascinating thing. And I think the cool thing is you look at what's happening in the Cup Series and where the drivers are going to matter a ton because the cars are very similar. Obviously intended and hopeful financial redesign and such that would make a driver even more valuable and performance wise and you think, all right, a Josh Barry right now has a legitimate shot of going to the Cup Series. Ryan Truex, if you can get into full-time ride win or win many races in that car, he might have a legitimate shot of being called to go to the Cup Series. Sammy Smith, on the opposite side of spectrum, 18 years old, he has a legitimate shot to go into the Cup Series because he's winning. So I just think John Hunter, same situation. So it's a really fascinating time in that you have a level talent that are in good enough rides to go win races and there's not a flood of cup drivers. In there, but as you put it, it's like, it's not for the big three young 18, 20 year olds. It's like a mix of 32 year

"They all maybe eventually rise to a 100% of the potential, but then everyone's at a 100% potential and we're back where we were probably a year ago. So I think yes, but I also would pay attention to the manufacturer's side. I think the manufacturers have an increasing, I know. They have an increasing importance in way that NASCAR is going in terms of design. And in terms of how the structure behind the scenes is all working. And this has been a trend over the last couple of years. And you see it on the drive development programs and all that's happening. They have an incredible amount of influence. So seeing Chevy win four races, then we go three months and 74 wins four races, and Toyota's, I could see that being a trend. Well, that is the 2023 cup season to date through four races. I feel like we've covered that fairly well. And enough about NASCAR's premier series, let's talk about Parker kilograms. And the 2023 Xfinity series. So first four races, 23rd at Daytona, tenth at Fontana, 11th at Las Vegas, 15th at Phoenix in a backup car, 12th in points, eventful, certainly. Some moments, flashes of brilliance, your team certainly has shown the ability to run up front. Unfortunately, some things, some drivers have affected those outcomes myself personally. Daytona, I know that you took a lot of the heat and the blame there. But yeah, give us the rundown, how it's gone so far. Well, Daytona, I hit everything, but that was good. Namely Jeffrey Earnhardt. Namely Jeffrey cleared myself. That was awesome. That didn't get any publicity at all. Hey, I said someone was like, well, they know we're here. That's cool. Yeah, the first race. Hey, I'm back. Back with a splash. Let's go. Team had an incredible fast car. We qualified in the front row there, which was awesome. And really cool for big machine racing and just, you know, this shows the competence of our race team and the speed that we can bring the racetrack. And then, yeah, we went to California, no practice, no qualifying. Started somewhere in the teens and immediately on the first lap, I was like, oh baby, here we go. And I was like, this is why I'm here. So this thing was pretty quick. We drove into the top ten. We actually finished the top ten on old tires at the end of the stage, a lot of guys on new tires. That was pretty cool. We got 5th and stage two. Had a bad run at the end where I over adjusted to the tight side for us, learned my Xfinity car stuff. And then we went to Vegas and I had prepped like really hard for Vegas and Auto Club and using simulators and we've been doing similar stuff since November. And then some of these other preparation tools that I've been incorporating and we went there and in practice we were like P four right off the truck and I'm like, let's go. Let's go. Same car's Auto Club. It felt like I knew the car's better qualified 6 and we get in the race and three laps and we get spun out by John Hunter and even check and that put us behind. We had to fight back. We ended up putting ourselves in pretty good position late in the race. We were really fast. And we had a long pit stop on our green flag stop. So that made us finish 11th, instead of pry finishing 8th or 9th. So it would have been two top tens, which would be nice. And then Phoenix, this was a place I started working on in November last year. So literally, I went to the team and I circled three or four tracks where I was like, these places, I don't know why, but I need to be better. Or I haven't been there in a while, you know, ten years or whatever. Like Auto Club the last time I raced there was 2014 cup. But it felt the same. The thing though is I looked at these tracks and Phoenix one of them. And the best part about that is I look back at my history and it was very fast at Phoenix the first time I went there, it was very fast and Xfinity finished well. All these things, but for some reason I had this idea that I just wasn't good there. So went to work on it. We showed up and in practice right off the I did almost a thousand laps in a similar last week between cup and Xfinity, helping out the RCR team with some of their prep as well. To learn some things from Kyle Busch, I applied, and it all came together in practice. And I was like, oh, we're ten on the board. Top 5 on average. Let's go qualify well and let's go running the top 5 maybe we have a shot this thing. And went off to qualify and had a little issue the break into three, felt it was really soft, tap pumped it up down the straightaway, went off into one, hit the brake, it was there for a second that it went to the floor. And went into the wall. I was like, oh my goodness. So that put us behind my team did a miraculous job. They built the car in two hours, essentially. Set it up in about four minutes, made through tech. We were adjusting things on the grid. And we hopped in and we drove that thing up into 8th place at one point towards the end of the race and had a shot at top ten, which was awesome. So not the start, not the storybook start you're looking

"The decision of other humans, which I can't control, is just totally changed the situation I'm in in this restart. But yeah, he had excellent restarts. That's a huge part of the game. Restarts are a really interesting part of modern day motor sports in that you don't have many series that experience obviously the amount of restarts that we do. The restarts are huge opportunities and massive opportunities also for failure. And it can all happen in split second. Just to see two sides of the coin there, William Byron, nails it, right? Beats Kyle Larson side by side pretty epic situation there and restarting Harvick does not get the good restart. Doesn't get to the bottom, lets the 45 dos inside on that second glass restart. That puts him in the middle on the part of the track that has all the rubber on it. He's not able to use his new tires down where Reddick does on the apron where there's no rubber, so you just have a huge grip advantage. He gets boxed in, so then he's in a terrible position for the last three start, and that's how, you know, he doesn't win that race. Reddick gets an opportunity to almost win it. That's the two sides of restarting in modern day NASCAR and your whole all the effort, the weeks of preparation for that race. Going through the whole race leading by a couple seconds for Kevin Harvick comes down to literally going through the gears and not and not clearing the 45 there by a couple inches to be able to go the inside. Highly unusual for him. Harvick's really good. I mean, that happens one out of every ten times. How is this going to have a bad restaurant? I don't know the numbers on that, but I just think they're just hard, right? They're just really it's tons of fine details and things that have to play out your way to make it work not work. No matter how much homework you do and it comes down to having to actually execute. It's a goal for having to swing the club on the T box. You got to do it. There's a million ways for it to go wrong. What I see a restart go wrong like Redick said, his restart wasn't the best on the last one. He should have been right behind the 24. And I'm like, if I was on that team, not in the driver capacity, I'd be like, okay, but we were in position. That's only someone she can control. The guy launches a little lurch. Hiccup on the motor, whatever. It's like that you can't control that stuff. You just have to put yourself in a position and hope it goes right. And there were some drivers,

"Kicking his ass. Right. That was one of the most empowered moments I ever had in my life. Was that three or four years span? Because now I had perspective. That I didn't have before. And yeah, that was a crappy three or four years. It sucked. But it helped shape who I may not be a good thing, but it helped shape who I am. No, I mean, I think it was a good thing. It did shape you and after you got that win at Dover in 2006, I'm sure that that made for a ton of relief for everything you went through in 2004. And that's how that is what's out there for that picture. Yeah. No question. We mentioned Christopher Bell becomes the 14th winner in the Cup Series this season. There's two slots left right now on points in the playoffs. I want to get to that, but first I want to touch briefly, chase Elliott, even though there's all this sort of speculation. Who's going to make the playoffs who's not? How many women are we going to have? There's one thing I think we can say to definitively right now is that chase Elliott has been the hottest driver in the Cup Series. He's leading the points. He's leading the playoff points. The way things are playing out, I think he is probably the odds on favorite to get the 15 points as the regular season champion as long as he continues the streak. He's got four straight finishes of first or second, so an average finish of one and a half since Nashville with two victories and two second place finishes. But in the post race interview with Parker Kligerman, he does not sound like a championship favorite Jeff. This was rookie season chase Elliott beating himself up about failing to execute what more do you need to be Christopher Bell in that last run? Just do a better job again. Same conversation as road America, unfortunately, so I just, you know, I feel like just a poor. Run of execution on my end, you know, throughout that

"Perspective on things. So we called up our old butter buddy slugger labby. He's going to join us next and we'll get manufacturer assault and where things stand on the last off weekend of the year. They're slugger. What's going on, dude? AKP, nitro Rallycross starts this weekend on peacock. Yes. Tabitha will be on Wednesday, by the way. Now he's actually in England. So we're going to tape the interview. He's going to jump the Atlantic. He's not an, but look, he's going to, so we're going to take the interview at 5 p.m., which is late London time. So if you want to talk to Travis Pastrana call in 8 four four NASCAR NBC, you can talk to Travis Pastrana again 5 p.m. Wednesday, call in. You don't want to miss the show by the way up what you need to jump the Atlantic. I have no idea, but nitro Rallycross is a brave sport, and I don't know that I want any part of it. Our next guest may want a little part of it. Can we talk you in a nitro Rallycross slugger you out? You had a nitro Rallycross. I'm getting way too old for that. With that. So just to remind folks who are now working with a Toyota group after your crew chiefing days. So, you know, everyone coming into this season slugger was all worried about cars and not having enough cars in the fleet. So where does that stand right now for racing? Does everybody good, no concerns anymore moving forward about the fleet being big enough? Well, I think there's no concerns if you don't crash. And if you do graduate them, it makes it very challenging. Yeah, you know, getting part from single source vendors definitely makes it a challenge, but they are doing their best to get the supply back to the teams where it needs to be, but definitely you can get behind really quick with a couple of on track incidents. Okay, you talk about getting behind. We've seen at different times. And like the Chevys, they started really, really fast with this car right off the bat. And it seemed like the Toyotas in the Fords were a little behind. With the supply chain demands, with what this car is, how hard is it to make up that difference once the season starts? It's certainly hard, you know, prior to this year, if you were behind, you could go work on certain parts of the race car to make it better. And now you can't do that because everything's so obligated. So you have to really, really use all your people, you group IQ, go to the wind tunnels, use all the simulation tools that you have in place and try to make it to your advantage, but man sometimes it's better to start the season off behind because it makes you work harder than everybody else, and then you'll find those advantages, albeit small ones, but you know they all stack up. Like going to the joystick, stacking pennies, right? So every little bit of down force that you can find, you pile into these cars, just trying to find any little bit of an advantage. You know, Kyle, when you raced, if we found 50 counts of down force, it was a big thing. Now if we find one or two counts, it's huge. And a system nature of this cloud. Yeah. That's crazy to think about it in that perspective. So help me understand something. Why are we having trouble getting the wheels tied in the Cup Series? I mean, I've been covering IndyCar for over a decade. I've seen it maybe happen four times in 12 years. It's happened ten times this year, slugger. What's going on? Man, I don't know, I changed tires for 12 years and I usually hit at least three every time, but. No, it's definitely a challenge and it comes down to everybody doing their job perfectly from indexing the tires to running the lug nuts up and simply if you don't get the tire index properly, the wheel won't tighten up and the teams have definitely gotten better, but they're still got their challenges. NASCAR is working on a few critiques that they're looking at for next year to make it easier. And the teams have asked for some sort of a reprieve if a tire does come off, you know, because four weeks is tough on a crew chief in the entire changer and a Jackman to simply stay home when all your buddies are racing. You can't be there because of a simple mistake. So it's definitely, it's not easy to do, but when you're trying to do sub 9 second pit stops, things happen very, very, very fast and accidents are going to happen. But man, I'll tell you just with the socket going the different way than what your normal two from last year. There's just so many things to stack up and one little mistake and you have a tire come off and it's a four week vacation, unfortunately. Hey, it's like you're so real quick. Your new role, you get to do everything with Toyota. So what's the most fun to do? Is it NHRA? Is it trying to find the new talent for Toyota? Hanging out with the Cup Series crew chief hearing all their complaints, like what's the best part of the new gig? Well, not many people call to say hello, how's your day going, right? They're usually complaining about something. No, for me, you know, being a NASCAR for since 1985, I really enjoyed NASCAR gave my life to it much like YouTube gentlemen have, but for me, starting off in drag racing, I didn't know a damn thing about drag racing, and I just simply had to open my eyes and shut my mouth and pay attention. And drag racing is really, really need a lock and go wrong and 3.8 seconds. And it's great to be part of that solution process. When things go wrong, but heavily involved with NASCAR still with the truck series arca series next gen testing will force testing. We're in the wind tunnel a lot. So my day is never short for work. I do have to say this. Working there has made you smarter. I never thought I would hear the word homologated come out of your mouth. So your vocabulary is like this big now, make the huge. You're right, Kyle, you know me for a while and I've never been a big fan of a rule book. Yeah. No, you have not slugger. I will vouch for that as your friend for a long time. All right, bud. Always fun Hank. Thank you. We'll see you soon at the racetrack, okay? Have a great night and happy Father's Day. Yeah. You too, there you go. Happy Father's Day to slugger and to you.

"Just <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> <Speech_Male> <Silence> <Music> <SpeakerChange> stand on the fence just to see Daniel <Speech_Music_Male> driving around the <Speech_Music_Male> racetrack. <Speech_Male> And I think <Speech_Male> that's the fascinating <Speech_Male> part. I think <Speech_Music_Male> it means so <Speech_Music_Male> much. <SpeakerChange> And <Speech_Male> that's why <Speech_Male> as we talked in the beginning <Speech_Male> of the show when we talk <Speech_Male> about the sacrifices <Speech_Male> that his parents <Speech_Male> made. And the sacrifices <Silence> that have <Speech_Male> been made, <Speech_Male> the weight of <Speech_Male> an entire country <Speech_Male> has been on his shoulders. <Speech_Male> He's only <Speech_Male> the 5th guy <Speech_Male> outside the <Speech_Male> United States. The 5th <Speech_Male> guy who <Speech_Male> was not <Speech_Male> born in America <Speech_Male> that has won a race here. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> And at <SpeakerChange> the end of the <Speech_Male> first Mexican <Speech_Male> from Mexico, <Speech_Male> the very first. There's <Speech_Male> only one <SpeakerChange> first, man. <Speech_Male> And he's the first. <Speech_Male> So to have <Speech_Male> that, <Speech_Male> it <Speech_Male> was just special. And spending <Speech_Male> time down there with <Speech_Male> his family, the <Speech_Male> way the fans embraced <Speech_Male> him the way <Speech_Male> the community embraced <Speech_Male> the faith, <Speech_Male> the belief <Speech_Male> they had in him. You can see <Speech_Male> why he carries himself <Speech_Male> the way he does. So real <Speech_Male> quick, there's a great shot in <Speech_Male> that show where you and Rutledge <Speech_Male> are walking out on <Speech_Male> this vista <Speech_Male> overlooking Monterey, which <Speech_Male> is a massive city. It's <Speech_Male> like 6 million people, <Speech_Male> right? Yeah. And <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> you had this epiphany <Speech_Male> where like, how did a kid <Silence> from my Mexico <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> go to buffalo, New <Speech_Male> York, learning English, <Speech_Male> and make it into <Speech_Male> the Cup Series, <Speech_Male> is that when that reality <Speech_Male> hit you <Speech_Male> when you were standing there, like, <Speech_Male> how did <SpeakerChange> he <Speech_Male> find his path there? <Speech_Male> Yeah, there's not a bridge <Speech_Male> from there. <Speech_Male> That's what you <Speech_Male> realize. When you stand <Speech_Male> and Monterey, Mexico, <Speech_Male> and you <Speech_Male> see where Daniel grew <Speech_Male> up and you go to <Speech_Male> the go kart race and <Speech_Male> you see <Speech_Male> that he started driving <Speech_Male> Volkswagens. And he <Speech_Male> started racing this. <Speech_Male> And then you see <Speech_Male> him standing <Speech_Male> on a podium <Speech_Male> and Sonoma, <Speech_Male> California, <Speech_Male> and you think <Speech_Male> there's no bridge. <Speech_Male> How did that <Speech_Male> happen? "Do you agree with that? That every race kind of this year, you really don't know who's going to win. I'm kind of with Kyle on this one. It's been across the board while. You don't have a favor going into any race right now. It's all across the board. You know, there's not really one driver or one team that's doing really good at just mile and a half. It's weekend week out. We're having different drivers really really show up and be really competitive. And so I think that that's something that we look at that schedule coming up. There's a lot of different racetracks in that mix. And so I think they're basically all opportunities. I didn't realize we're only ten away from making that cut. So that puts a little extra pressure on us, and it makes it hurt just a little bit more from Sonoma missing it by one, but we have a lot of good racetracks for us coming up that we feel really strongly about after we take a week off here to hit that reset button. I think it's going to be, it's going to be tough. I think we're going to have more first time winners. We plan on being those two of those. But I think we're going to have several more as we head in towards the playoffs. I don't think it's a season where you can bank on point in your way into the playoffs. All right, so I want to stay in that same vein a little bit because a long time before you were born. I drove a race car. And there were times, I walked into the garage area, and I felt like I could beat everybody. There were years, I felt like we could win any race any time anywhere. And there were years you walked in and you thought, man, this is going to be tough. It's going to be tough to run 20th. This can be tapped around 25th. And I knew that. Even though I had that, that confidence, and I thought we, with something could happen, I could. But I look at this year, 16 races, 14 winners. Everybody that walks through the great gate can be a winner. What's that do for a driver's confidence who may be in years past had walked through and said, well, those guys are the top. We can finish right behind them. If we finish there, it's good. What's that do for a driver and a team's confidence to know that it is so wide open? I think it just makes you realize every week is a wide open opportunity. We can't sell ourselves short right now. You know, there's a lot of opportunity each each time we go to a racetrack. Wherever wherever the race may be, whatever kind of surface it is, I think that we really haven't had one style race track where speaking for our team specifically, that just isn't what we thought it would be. You know, and we've had really good runs at all kinds of different race surfaces. If you'd ask me in the past, I'd have said, you know, I'd have been with you if I can get 20th, 25th at Richmond or Phoenix in the past, I'd say that was, that was an okay day. And we've been able to run top ten at those races this year. So I feel like our short track program has come along and continues to progress. And I think that gives us confidence going into loudoun. Obviously, the road courses, we have pretty high on our circled list right now. At wayana was a strong one for us at the beginning of the season closer to the beginning of the season. Nashville is one that I'm kind of on the fence about. I don't know where we're going to stack up. I feel like gateway was probably a worldwide technology was probably the best read for for Nashville. And I did not run that race. The other week. So going to be leaning on the team a lot in a lot of Zane smith's notes from that race to figure out how to be good at that one. I mean, it's just, there's so many different opportunities. You have to go in every week thinking this is going to be the one. And it's opened it up. It's wide open right now each and every week. All right, bob, well, we can not wait to see you in Nashville. We're fired up to get back on the air. We'll see you there. And you'll find out some good stuff about Nashville. Yeah. That's definitely the point. We're looking forward to it. So I appreciate you. Thanks for having us on here and enjoy a little bit of downtime for a week and be ready to hit the ground running. There you go. Enjoy your off week. Thank you. Chris bush for joining us here after the big second place finish at Sonoma. So, hey, speaking of Sonoma, you want to hear some excitement. How about Tony Rivera with a call of Daniel Suarez as when? In Spanish. It's always exciting. Let's take a listen. Crack house racing. Come to the top off. Daniel swear to sit down and get a lot of secret. But. I got down that bit of the lawsuit. So, there's going to be a cup. That Tony is always on. That's great, man. But that is incredible to Spanish Lee diffie. Yeah. Just get excited, man. You just get excited. No matter what's happened, you just.

"Daytona as well, leading into the playoffs. That's a crazy schedule. Wait a minute, wait, wait, wait, wait. We've run, we've run what, 16 races. Yeah. We've got 14 different winners. Yeah. Every race is a wild card race. Henry race is out of control. I mean, you get to look at it that way. Look at the diversity of that. But that's the way the season has been this year. Every race is out of control. Every race is a wild card. Do you go into it and you think, oh yeah, man, we're going to New Hampshire, boom, man, Denny Hamlin. We're going to Pocono. Wow, we got this guy. You're going to Indy, you got this, whatever it may be, but it's not playing out that way this year. We just went through it. Daniel Suarez. Chris busher. Yeah. And Michael McDowell, one, two, three. When would you have ever picked those for any race all season long to be your top three? And it's just so hard to wrap your hands around and to wrap your mind around to say, where's Kevin Harvick? Where is Martin Truex? Where are these guys that we're used to seeing running up front? Because they've been replaced by a new group. I mean, Parker even magnifies more to me though when we look at that schedule, don't you agree? Oh, a 100%. And I think that's the thing. And I just keep going back to, look, this field is the tightest it's ever been in cup. And so such tiny things make huge differences. And I just don't think, you know, we can look back at other seasons, and I know you mentioned the math, 40% have to go and win the next ten races. I absolutely see that. You know, I see that as we've got a chance, right? Because there is so much up for grabs between the diversity that schedule and you have such a tight field. I mean, I'm talking half a second separating the field at times from first, the 32nd, like that has not occurred in an ascar Cup Series. I don't think in ever. It's across all these different types of traffic. So we really are in uncharted territory in terms of the competitiveness of this series. And I really think it might be one of the most competitive seasons in the history of NASCAR Cup Series, and therefore I just, I know some that's all Denny Hamlin say there's no chance we're going to have over 16 river. I'm not counting chickens till we get to Daytona because this is just wide open in my opinion. Yeah, and that is that's a great way to look at it. And you're exactly right. I mean, I'm sitting here saying, I don't see 40%. And then he explains it that way, and I look at. Well, we've had 14 out of 16. You know what I mean? It could very well be. And I think he's right, because you can't, and that's great analysis, because I don't think that you can take this year and lay it there and say, oh, let's compare it to the last 70 years of our school. It's not going to happen. It's just not going to happen because these guys are all overlaid on top of each other. And it's those little mistakes. Like wheels coming off, if you want to call that a little one. Those little mistakes that are the difference between winning and losing now. All right, Parker, always fun hanging out with you. Take a week off. Because we're putting you to work next weekend in Nashville. Get ready for it. I'm ready. Let's get started. Our boy Parker cling him and hanging out with us today. When we come back, KP and I get to hang out with Chris buscher and you can tag along. That's coming up next. Here.

"Occur like this of not getting that wheel tight, it's entirely different design. You know, I think there's some technical aspects of the whole sport is looking at and how to make this better for everyone and not to have these issues. But it's obviously disappointing. When you have a fast car like that, you put yourself in a position and then the gravity of the penalty. That's the question if it really, you know, it's fitting this crime because for, you know, to be suspending your crew chief and other members for four weeks and just knowing how large a penalty this is, it's really a tough position. I think for the whole sport right now. So I think the whole sport has to look at how to one, obviously rectify the issue, fix this, so it doesn't occur in the future. And then also saying, okay, how can we evaluate things that this isn't the level, this isn't happening one and two, this isn't creating the compounding effects of now having team members out, which hurts the teams and just really makes it harder for everyone involved to move past these issues like this. All right, I want to bring both of you in for this. We'll throw up the playoff standings and show you there's only four spots left on points. I feel like we have this conversation Parker every June, right? But you've got names like Blaney, Truex bell, Harvick, and Reddick who haven't won. So yes or no, 16 winners this year or do some get on points. I won't be surprised because, I mean, look at that. You mentioned it Blaney Truex. Belle. I mean, the RCR cars. How are they not one yet? Especially Kyle ren like I would have easily had him having to win by now. Eric Jones has shown such great speed was so close at Talladega to winning there. I think if we're ever going to see more than 16 winners in a season with this playoff format, it has to be this season knowing, you know, just everyone figuring out this car, how big a difference it's been, how much it's turned up, you know, turned everything upside down and how much parity there's been and how close it is. I think you have to be looking at that. And if you're Erica more, or RCR, those two RCR cars, I mean, pour our CR once again right there on the bubble like you see in every year with both their cars, but I think you can not feel safe at all that you're going to point your way into this for the first time in a long time. I think you have to be focusing right now, especially with how variable the schedule is coming up. These next ten weeks, you've got to be focusing on getting a victory lane. Yeah. And listen, I agree. If we're ever going to see 16 winners, we're as close as we're going to get. And look, and it's so precarious because Daniel Suarez is 20th in the playoff points. And well, he's in. So that moves everybody down. And that's the problem. It keeps shuffling people down. I am going to say this. My heart tells me I want to see 16 different winners. Math tells me I'm not going to see 16 because 40% of the races that are left before the playoffs have to be won by you guys, okay? Four out of ten have to be one of that list right there. And I don't see four of those ten winning these races. You know what I mean? And that's the simplest way for me to look at it is just say 40% of this has to happen. And I don't see that. I might see 20%. Yeah, I might get you to 14 of 16, but I believe.

Also, we've got the man himself Parker Kligerman is going to join us after the break we're going to hear about his exciting weekend. Stay with us for more motor mouths right here on peacock. Way better than Phoenix though, I guess. First bat is Phoenix was JGR, the Toyota guys did a good job of getting us some improvements there and at least being able to keep up and have a shot at the wind. So our car just took too long to come in, better on the long run, better up top. You know, we stayed in the running all day long and fought hard and thought maybe we could, but that was it. We gambled on that stage win. I'm glad we brought that home and I was like, man, if I just go where they're not, the car isn't that bad in traffic. And that's one thing we've been working on. It's just helped me in traffic and once we found some clean air. How we passed a lot of cars. And on that last restart, I should have just pushed in the heck out of the 18. Toyota or horse that are won that Kyle needed to be up ahead. I wanted Kyle on my own. That would have helped the monster car win. Great shot to win and make mistake in the pits. Come out 17th and by the time we get back to replacement the lead is no time for us to do a good job execution there at the last prison. Feels good to come here to St. Louis today for the inaugural event and have a fast forward crowd Ford Mustang. You know, we finally finish where we deserve. We ran up front in the top 5 all day and we finished top 5. We need that much more. I don't know what it is. We just need a little bit more speed in our car to go challenge those guys for a win. We begin the day, I was hoping for like a top 25 and hopefully it could be a completing all the laps. It's super hard to pass and I think we ended up sending teeth. I want to say I need my mom. So there's a lot of downsides and what are you going to finish this thing? Come home 17. I'm happy about it..

"All on Ricky Stenhouse. You know, we got off to a pretty good start at Daytona. I thought we were going to win the Daytona 500 Brad Keselowski rectus ran us into fence, ruined our day. We go on the next week, we finished tent, got a good decent ride and then three weeks straight, we had motor problems. We were having significant motor problems and it just buried us. I mean, it buried us. We get our motor issues figured out. We come back at Atlanta, we're leading the race. We blow right rear tire. We started going through all that, my lady, so it's just been a struggle. You know, we get our engines from the good folks over at Hendricks motor sports. I talked to Rick. I mean, he feels horrible about the engine issues we've had. They've made it up for us in space. So we're excited about that. But it's a big hole. And then the last several weeks, I've just told Ricky, you know, over and over and over. We talked about this the last two years, got stopped wrecking race cars, gotta stop speeding all pit road, you know, just take a breath, every once in a while. You don't have to race. Everybody, everybody's rear fender so hard every lap. Just try to get to the end of the day. And I'll give him credit. I mean, this is a veteran race car driver. He's set in his ways in a lot of ways. Ricky charges hard. He pushes hard, but he's pulled back just a little bit, and giving himself an opportunity to be there at the end of the day. And we've run really well over the last several weeks. Had some good strong finishes and we're excited. We're gonna go to gateway and we hope we can get up front and have a chance to win this thing. So Brad, I was accused of being a glass half full guy. I'm in it to go, so unfortunately now you're gonna get the glass half empty version of me. You know, we look at owners and what they bring to their team. You're a professional athlete who rose to the absolute top of the sport that you played. I always had a fear as a crew chief when we have a good streak that we get a little overconfident that we forget blocks and tackles that we forget that what got us to those four top tens in a row. So you as an owner, what role do you take in this? Do you reach out to a guy like Ricky? You have so much experience and competition. It doesn't matter if you're driving a car, dribbling a ball. Competition is competition. Do you kind of try to coach him to not maybe get a little too confident with this great streak you're on? Oh, 100%. Just last week, I go on the race shop, and I talked to our whole team. I mean, I told everyone. You know, we're a small race team. We've got 50 people working on our race car. We build our own race cars. We're independent to that degree, and we're racers. But I tell them, every year, even when we were a two car scene, when it comes June and this sport, it is the dog days for teams like ours because usually.

"Daniel Suarez will win stage number two. Off turn two, the caution will come out. Problems on the front straight that's our 13 yellow flag, casting is going to cruise to victory here in stage three. And the yellow flag comes out rather damage sideways Chris was 60 yellow flag of the day. Chase Briscoe spends the four on one. So once again, under the yellow flag. Well, that was a Coca-Cola Cola 600 and about 45 seconds. One guy we did not see in any of those pictures was a guest on Dylan, that's a good thing, ty. 13th place finish. I know you wanted a little more there at the end, but how would you Coke 600? Yeah, it was a good race for us. Like anybody was definitely an endurance race. We started the race, actually race day. I needed to make an adjustment to my steering column. Steering wheel is a little close to my chest, which I was afraid is gonna make my arms go numb. So we adjusted it race day morning, and when we did so, we ended up getting the two aluminum class stuck together. So when I pulled off pit road just to overall team mistake on all of our parts, me included and I was like, oh boy, we're in trouble. So the first hundred laughs, I spent barely using every bit of muscle in my body, trying to get the wheel just to turn, and finally ground up enough surface area around the aluminum clasp to where it freed back up again. So we kind of put ourselves in a little bit of a hole there to start, but then they had a pretty decent race car after that. I was able to stay up inside the top 20 top 18, most of the race, Dodge some crashes, probably about 12 of them. And then we had the left retired D laminate. So that put us the lap down. And we're able to battle back and get a top 15. Obviously, we want to get some more speed. We got a cash in some of those stage points, but the finishes are certainly there. We're doing the right things to be there at the end and I think if we get the speed with our 42 team, we're really going to be strong here, coming to the end of the year. So ty, how did you manage to avoid most of those accidents? I mean, you should get an award for that. Yeah, you know, I have a great spot or.

"Is my point. I think anybody in the field could have just drove in there over his head and ran into him. That move at Charlotte was not a Hail Mary. That was a calculated, I have to beat him into the corner. He knew how to win the race and he spun out doing it. As a crew chief, I can work overtime for chase Briscoe. I love it. I can work overtime for a guy that is willing to put his reputation, put his talent on display and have it fall short. Remember, they've won a race. That gives them the opportunity to be aggressive. And I love what I'm seeing at a chase presco and I love the growth because like I said, I do think there's a difference between the leader and not affecting the leader. And I am super, super encouraged to see that sort of aggression. As we all should be as a race fan. What does it okay, obviously in your role as a crew chief of crew member. So much depends on the feelings of the crew guys and just building them up. So what does it do for the team when they see this compared to Bristol or when they see a guy who's done this at indie road course contact with Hamlin that the Bristol thing and then this, how does a team reactors that build the camaraderie? So listen, teams get over lost opportunities to win a race in a spectacular fashion way quicker than a driver complaining and running 17th and whether he is or isn't giving his best. If they don't feel he's giving his best, that destroys a team way more than spending a race car out. And to Jeff's point, I think, as we should all applaud that it has always been very difficult. I never want to discount what drivers have been asked to do at any season of NASCAR. But the difficulty has never been on more display than it is this year. Now, the oversteps, the big corrections.

"Like this in is maybe advantageous for somebody like yourself. Well i think you hope so right as a driver you mentioned you know it has been tough and i did not see my life playing out this way and i feel like i woke up. I feel like. I had this conversation so like a week ago. I was twenty six or twenty seven. And i was doing the tv thing and getting part time rides. And i was like you know the time thing will happen. It's got and then. I turn around and suddenly i was thirty. I haven't race full-time what happened here. And the cup car drove. I did really well in you know. I remember at the time thinking like well. Yes like you know that was the last shot and then it just you know things change. Obviously whatever but i think there's absolutely opportunities for drivers are gonna happen here in the next two years. I just think it's not going to happen. Quick as maybe someone's hope right and they're still an increasing. They're still a massive cost next year. Too broad these teams to get into the next gen era. I think you know time is is something that just marches on. And you can't stop and forever reason. Even though the analytic say that your best years stocker drivers thirty nine years old or thirty eight. I still think. There's you know obviously elements there. But i think for any myself anyone. I've been looking at trying to go race modified lately because my schedule started opened up which is unusual. I think you just need to be winning. I've learned you know you just need to be winning in anything and driving anything and it will turn around and i think four or five years ago the funny thing once you you were supposed to be selected. We're supposed to be. You're only supposed to go dry things. You thought you could win. And after a stuff. And it's just funny how the the stigma changes about that. then it becomes. Oh you know because one guy was successful. Now you can just drive any right. You're staying jumped out of the back end card cup car when and want to experience. Oh now the floodgates opened anyone driving these complete. You know okay now exchange entire so. It's funny how that works. I think the other day you just gotta be winning and stuff and that will open it up. But in terms of what's occurring. The country's new owners. I think is great. I think justin he's awesome. I know you hear this a lot. But he's incredibly intelligent. He has an amazing vision for what he wants to accomplish in the cup series and in racing motorsports general You know he's involves so many different facets of motor sports guys like him coming in that are trying to look at this through a different leads and say. How can i do this differently. We've always done it that way. How are we ever gonna compete. Like i gotta find a way to do this differently. They're the ones that are going to propel the sport in the future right for the next couple of decades matt colleague coming in you know he is so i just was talking him at road america and on the grid where i i did tell him. I was dry for fulltime next year. Gave me a fist-bump so we'll see if that happens. There's so many factors. But i was talking to him and i was like man. I remember you coming into this deal. What was it four or five years ago in the deal and it was sort of just feeling it out and see how it goes in your chris. Rice student get jobs or navigating. Thanks for him and making good decisions. And i was like. Now you're a cup odor. Did you see he's like i know. Man dawson school. Like i love this into it and he wants to make an impact. He wants to be here for a long time to come. Those you know it's so funny. What a couple of years ago. We were wondering who's going to be those people leaving owners to take this over brands. They showed up. And i think nascar has done a good job of marketing. The product to putting the cost coming down all these things. I talk about enthusiasm always beginning. Those guys are coming in because of that. Because they see the opportunity michael jordan denny hamlin. Yes is there going to be the same problems that we always fight racing. Yes someone's gonna spend way too much money and someone's gonna spend way less and someone's going to be in the middle and that's what's going to happen but if it's the numbers make more sense than we've all one and i think that's that's opening up in so for drivers like myself who have not had you know the family funding that sort of thing to dry which has become very popular here in the last couple years yes will be opportunities. I believe so. But i think another portion. That is that you're gonna have to also going to have to become very creative on the mortgage side and you're going to have to time will be the biggest problem right so that you see wave drivers are thing. They have funding excitement around them. Back in second hurt you. But we'll see i don't know i just want to go into truck race this year. We have one month's twenty seventeen. I gotta get back and big lane so we gotta make that happen if we can. I think it'd be a great spot. We'll definitely be keeping an eye on that and on that note like. I know that i interrupted a workout here as well. So i know you've got to get back to that so you can stay fit and in shape for these final five trucks series. Starts that you've got coming up. I also know interrupted. This is one of your most creative periods of the day as well. I think i recently that early morning like before eight. Am unusual for someone your age. That's when all the creativity sparks and human rights man like five thirty eight thirty in the morning. It's my brain. It's i don't know what it is so coffee. Whatever just but it's also a dangerous thing. So i got i got. I got down yet focused but Yeah we'll we'll see. I just want you to. I said my schedule opening up one of the funny things occurs my girlfriend's over japan right. She works on the olympics. Abc and so. I literally have no reason to be hope. So part of my thing was like man. I gotta go race more like. I just got race anything. Because i don't even want to be here so i Yeah we'll see. We'll see if i get ready for the next three weeks. Pirker triggerman has an open schedule. Wash is in japan so a couple of months. She's gone a couple months. Okay well there you go. Yeah no reason then. You shouldn't be calling parker deeming him if you're a silicon valley magnet with some. Yeah hey man. I always appreciate the time the inside. Thanks for being here awesome. Peggy buddy takes me out our thanks again to nascar. Abc analysts parker triggerman for joining. The nascar nbc. Podcast to run the gamut talking about myriad topics whether it's east ford's erasing the imsa race weekend at lime rock park the economics of the camping.

"parker kligerman" Discussed on NASCAR on NBC
"Last time i think purchased team would have been early. Two thousands maybe When they all must king there but it's really tight for them. And it's i think you still could but i think for the gt cars put on the best show. I'll be honest like it's every i've number two years ago. Three years ago. I was there for the race in the the ford in the poorest the ford. Gt in the porsche's gotten like a dual late and they literally did a bump and run. Here's a force of nine eleven. Gt three r s. Doing a bump and run to a floor. Gt like where else do you see this on. that's two million dollar race cards in each other. So that's pretty cool. Yeah that is cool very nascar s because well we can shift into the nascar part of our discussion here parker. You texted me about a month ago to give me a heads up on this really cool sponsorship that you had on the truck recently that you run in the camping world truck series and that is the fast dot. Co sponsorship that you had and you told me a little bit about this. Give you opportunity here to tell listeners. when it's about i know it's there silicon valley involvement they raised. I guess what it would be like nine figures with some prominent venture capitalists and and then they were on your truck it national nash. Vaga truck at at nashville. So and this was their first venture in motorsports so give us the background a little bit on how they got involved. I would say this has been a ten year journey for me. So obviously twitter's my favorite social media. Anyone who falls me knows like at most active up his followers because most active and about i'd say eight years ago ten years ago i realized it was like these different factions of twitter and one of them was tech twitter which was like all these silicon valley tech startups and startup world and it just became fascinated by right in speed at which these companies go to market that we scale that they can test an iterative and then redesign things. And it's just amazing watching of last ten years and a lot of that was just basic business interest but then i started to make relationships on twitter with some of these folks and at times it was always like i wish i could get guys involved racing like motor sports some of these companies. They would just be blown away. And they great fit for them and they're doing digital marketing the stock market. I'm like you could get them involved other sports. I think they would really appreciate it. You know there would be serious business by doing it. We've seen some tech companies dabbled motor sports. But it hasn't really. I've always been frustrated with that. They've sort of disregarded motorsports at times About a year ago. I was just on twitter. One time and i saw this company pop up from someone. I follow called fast checkout and really just called fast and i was like well first of all what is its name out of. They get that. That's amazing and then i saw what they did. And what they did was they facilitated one. Click logging one. Click checkout across any website on the internet. And i have like the last two years. If you talk to my anyone in my family girlfriend i would rant and rave about filling up orbs on the internet like i can't stand it and literally solve that issue. That was like what the world is amazing called fat. So i made a relationship on two hundred them this fall and said this is cool saying i love the name wa and at the same time i made relationship the ceo dom hollins who's foundered ceo. Who's an awesome dude. And so we just started some conversations. I reached out in the cold. The m one time and said hey. I loved chats your plans are how can we get. You involved motor sports. Your name makes total sense. And i love what you're doing and they started of conversation here and there and then not but for you know so basically a full year. Pass that time Dom hit me up one day tonight. Ready what are we doing you know. How are we going racy. And so that's when national came together just a couple of weeks before and it was really cool. Dom came out to the race he loved. It had a great time. We went out national. Had a good time And i think they got a huge response. They they sell these five dollar hoodies with fast on it. And my post after race-based went viral. End up on reddit. Sold like over. Three thousand five dollar hoodies in two days so it was pretty crazy. I think that they had such a great time. They saw the power motorsports how it relates to their brand name. The you know the business sense of of the brands are trying to work with. And i think Hopefully we can get them to do more in the future. but it was It was cool. I had not done that right. I hadn't seen a tech company come in from twitter and all those things Suicide overall it was just a really cool experience to be a part of the have a bit of success. Although i wish we will more successful in the race itself i think you know at least from the marketing side and was used success. I hope i hope we can do feature. That is so cool. Yeah and it's a great cinderella type story as well the way it started that you know you go from eight months ago. Just interacting on twitter. Dm to they're actually on your truck. It reminds me parker. A little bit of james hinchcliffe has this genesis sponsorship. Which i think he said pretty much started the same way just like a cold. Dm was sent and a few months later. Boom there it is like. Is this evidence that maybe teams or drivers should be more aggressive proactive about just trying to get in touch with silicon valley and progressive tech companies..

Parker Kligerman on Year 2 as a team owner in the eNASCAR iRacing Coca-Cola Series
"Parker is a co- team owner in the NASCAR COCA COLA. I racing series. I get that right. Okay year two for Burton Triggerman East sports and we had Parker on last year as somewhat of an eye racing primer NASCAR. Miracle was broadcasting a few of the I. Racing Races last year. We did the finale which was tremendously well received. All of the races were well received on. Nbc talked about like what it all means with you before Parker. This time we wanted to have you on to talk about year two for your team because you guys have not only. Have you WANNA race already this year through two races as we speak here today you already had a win from Ashton crowder in the Fontana race. You've also got some big news with sponsorships and everything happening in your too. So tell us what's going on for Burton. Click armony sports. Yes so first of all start. In the series the series on coca-cola's title sponsor peak left peak any freeze. And they'd been part of it for years and I think the the trajectory the series and things and how they building sports it opened up and up to pursue cocoa that come in so that was really cool as big name to put on top of the series this year we have twenty teams so the full team rosters filled out this year whereas last year round sixteen teams so there's only twenty teams allowed. We filled it out and for burnt. Cuckney sports. We actually brought in our first corporate partner of this magnitude valvoline which was incredible. It worked on it for months. The reason they came into his they'd obviously east. Sports is a big topic. These days that sort of thing and I had a little bit relationship with them beforehand and this came about and I'd always been a big fan of Abilene cars growing up. How good they look the pace keys or anything and it would be so cool to have those as our cars essentially look just like the Mark Martin number six. Yeah we did like a little vs flying vs. I call them okay. We're all the visa and going up and that was kind of our spin on it a little bit in the eastport realm so really cool. They've been great work with and just a lot of fun and they really are seeing the benefits and and kind of become fans of as well and then we went out and won the second race two seasons Ashen crowder. We lead the most laps between both drivers. Clampitt led a ton of beginning. He and four she got involved in a wreck and then Ashen kind of took. The reins and in an incredible dual won the race and that was just huge. So we're now tied for the point seat. Although we get the points lead off the with Ashenafi Tiebreaker having a win and in the team championship or fourth. So it's been a great start for us really cool for the series and the viewership. This year has been insane across tweets. Youtube NASCAR ADT COM and facebook. The first Jewish this season have adverse around one hundred eighty thousand people tune in life. That's The craziest statistic to me but people will break down the numbers or shocked by is the average time person views for so you know the Internet unlike. Tv. There's a lot of calculation can be done per each viewer and you often find yourself. Sort of like across the different streamed stream entities finding that they all read it differently but one of the things that really sticks out across all the retention time. And so we've seen average viewers nineteen minutes per viewer Twenty minutes thirty minutes so in the Internet world that like that will be. That's like I mean. I know from working for a website. It's not just website traffic or page views. It's how long are they reading the page? So after on watching twenty minutes of Iras. That's is that something you could have valvoline with and say this. And they say their eye popping numbers yes. We put a whole report together after each race and sort of to give some sort of numbers all this because I was actually a conference in London couple weeks ago about East sports and sky. Who's believe these? Cfo of the largest eastward teams in the world said eighty seven point six percent of all artistic in east sports or made up and facts. So you can put concrete numbers to it. It's a great thing and we've been able to do that. So it's been wrinkled who said it was fabricated He he works for fanatic which is one of the largest export teams in the world. It was basically a joke to say it. So it's the wild west and I actually think what were doing one of the things I know. It says in our logo in our team name. I don't even like the word East sports anymore because I kind of think of traditional sports trying to do something different were Imo Schwartz. Were trying to help a sport or exists bill the base and gain a new audience and be exposed to people that can never be exposed to it on the competitive level. What they're trying to do in really sports shooters they're trying to make the next Nascar the next NFL. We're not trying to do that. So as you mentioned two cars Logan Clampitt in the number ninety nine valvoline Ashton crowder and the number seventy seven valvoline. Just curious obviously ninety nine. That was Burton's now. When he drove up seventy seven is that it was my number and Arka- And I've always had a thing for sevens and it comes from my grandpa who was his favorite number seven successful years of always been car at seven. Seventy seven a number in a lot to me and both of these guys are obviously like. Hey you guys actually drove in the NASCAR Cup series. Take whatever numbers. You're doing well as team. We own those numbers so just like real life our numbers we own them so if we changed drivers but they're in for full year then it would keep the number
