"A colts pick and I think we both said. We didn't like that because we did not believe that this was going to be an improved team with Philip rivers at the head, and ultimately neither of US ended up in our season picks picking the cold to make the playoffs and I think it was just I did not have a lot of confidence that. We would see an improved Philip rivers and perhaps there was some hope that behind a better offense of Lining Indianapolis. Rivers. Would somehow be better but we got the same product that we've been used to seeing and obviously there was a late game interception. No one game doesn't tell the full story but I was having a hard time getting excited about the colts I was having a hard time. Getting excited for Philip Rivers. Colts uniform. Changing kind of the results of last season I just didn't see it happening and week one I think bore that out a little bit. So my thought would be yeah. The Jaguars are not as bad as some people expected but I definitely think the colts are not as good. Yeah and what was fascinating was I think one of the biggest flaws of Indianapolis certainly I mean Philip Rivers is is Philip rivers at this age I mean there's no doubt about that but also and maybe this. Is partly his fall to, but just the idea that you know they got the matchup that they wanted. They got T. Y. Hilton on CJ, Henderson the rookie first rounder, and they kept trying to exploit it but Henderson was playing really well, I mean she showed that he was worthy of that ninth pick a lot of people thought that there might have been a there. But at the same time they kept going back to it and going back to it in throwing these kind of similar. Out routes towards the sideline and so he jumped it and he got the pick but then they tried that again and that final drive. When they were going down to score and I was just surprised that Frank Reich Nick Serianni. Philip rivers. He thought all that brainpower that familiarity that we'd see something kind of really different and cool. But it seemed like sort of a week three of the preseason offense. You know like you're just trying to explain matchups you're trying to make the right throws and you know there wasn't really anything there and all the while you have all these upgrades at all of your skill positions you have a high drafted rookie running back who did catch a lot of passes. You have Paris Campbell who you're finally targeting a little bit and but it but it just seemed like that. For some reason, they could not put any of that together that will happen over the course the season, but he played in the Jaguars I mean, this is probably the best opportunity you're going to have to throw some points up on the board this season. Yeah and I'm curious to see how that. Story Line unfolds what you just described about offense. It did seem like there were a lot of offenses that you were just like where's the creativity? Where's the mixing in of new wrinkles? Why does this look exactly like what we expected and not like some big reveal that was To be called cough..

"Thirty two yards and eight touchdowns when Tannahill, through twenty seven or more passes in six games I know it's a bit of a as or stat, but it does show you that when they threw, he got a lot of targets and he produced. All right. So Gardner minzhu James White Jamison crowder Levinsky Chenault, and. Johnny Smith for Heath Dave how're you doing over there? I'm ready to rock. If you're Gimme five search one is first ones Austin Hooper? Who some people might say isn't a sleeper because everybody knows who he is but his ADP is right around route ten and I think he's going to catch a bunch of touchdowns in Cleveland I've got them right at of Fan Kazuki and Rob Gronkowski I. Think he's going to have a pretty good year and we're all sleeping on Austin Hooper just because he went to the browns. Okay. Very good. Very good. Good execution. Paris Campbell's the next one on the list I think he's probably more of A. Only type of the sleeper but I see this Indianapolis offense being very spread out and. Can playing out of the Slot we've Seen Philip rivers lean onslaught receivers Keenan got a ton of targets. I know the ty is going to be the main guy I. Think this is the second best guy the trae Burton injury helps him out a lot. He's in the concussion protocol because of a car accident this guy is pretty unlucky all things. Considered, but it sounds like he's going to be fine. Frank Reich talked him up on Siriusxm NFL radio said he had a phenomenal offseason and his anticipating him contributing this year late round stash wide receiver. All right. The Sean Jackson or Paris Campbell to Sean but it's close. I've got them ranked like this to Sean Deebo Golden State Paris Campbell, okay all. Right Austin. Who Prepares Campbell who else jerk McKinnon for niners autumn for a long time, there's gotta be a reason for it at this point again, and other people are only type of sleeper. But I'm starting to buy regime Ozturk more and more I just thinking about the Shanahan how their track record is with unheralded running backs turning them into stars. He's a great fit for that offense. The O line is pretty good. Even despite injuries they have dissenter in training camp and motion it'll be the lead. Guy. Kevin Coleman is in jeopardy because most or can be good and McKinnon is a great pass catcher on passing debts. All right. We Got Austin Hooper Paris Campbell and Jerick McKinnon you mean to more. I've said it before I'll say it again, packers didn't draft AJ Dylan to sit there and watch. Aaron Jones have another huge year. There's gotta be things they love about him and based on what you've seen on social. The dude got power for days. Legs are incredible. He's going to factor in I. Don't know if you'll just be a pain in the butt for people that start Aaron Jones each week but he's going to be a factor for them. It could be just short yardage situations could be the second running back in a rotation. I think he's GonNa matter at some point this year who would you take him over? Would you take him or if you've got the mentioned Bryce? Love. Some speculation he might even make the roster. Would you take Aj Bryce? Love AJ Dylan easily. I'll take him over eight. It's not going to be sexy names I'm going take you dylan over but Malcolm Brown who I could fizzle pretty quickly with the Rams Adrian Peterson maybe the same thing with Washington I've got him one spot ahead of Sony Michelle NPR. Okay. Last sleeper. Plus Sleepers Jared Goff. You can have your minhsiu heath but jared Goff's got this amazing receiving core might even be getting deeper with Van Jefferson leaving dudes in the dust with his route running questions about the run game offensive line definitely going to be the biggest hindrance for off but there's a team that could throw plenty and Goth as a lot of great targets to throw to I. Think he's an awesome value late on draft day and you take them ahead of. I would take him out of CAM, Newton Okay Austin who prepares Campbell Jerick McKinnon, AJ Dylan and? Jared Goff. Jamie feel coffee can knock this out. Still at sleepers. Latin Guy Josh Kelly, you know I liked the fact that the reports have been glowing this off season and I think he's going to be better than Justin. Jackson or Josh Jackson I. Keep saying. But you know there's a two hundred touches available with Melvin Gordon gone that necker will clearly help take some of that. But I think Kelly's got a chance for one, hundred, fifty plus targets and the guy that you can get extremely late caroline I'm I'm I'm excited about all right Josh Kelly. Jack Kelly would be one Keep giving my guys Steve Simms. Say It from the start of the off season. The way they closed last year the fact that this receiving coordinate, some desperate help, and he's just continued to get rave reviews. So he's GonNa play inside I. Think we'll play a little outside as well. We'll be creative and how they put the ball in hand but no sims is going to be the second best pass Catcher for the Washington football team behind term core. Okay. Let's keep comparing him to Sean Jackson Sims or Jackson I'll take some you know based on health and based on Israel Sims or Paris Campbell. Dave Campbell. Apple. Jamie three more sleepers. Tight ends again, two guys that I've been talking about lockers earning for the jets heath kinda summed it up with Jamison crowder but. Him The guy. That's going to be needed in that offense with the receiving core falling apart and for what it's worth gates loves him. But Sam darnold loves him and I heard a tip from a friend of a friend who has somebody that they know on the jets roster that they like him a lot and he is just matching up with. Anybody that puts that is lined up across from him and he is dominating them in practice. So I'm sad that we didn't get secrets in last year but I think that's GonNa lead to him having a big third season after what he showed us in his campaign you you WanNa fun fact on earned. Of. This targets in twenty eighteen were him running out of the slot? So, not a traditional tight end way more receiver than blocker. There's a lot to like about Chris Arden. They've been they've been splitting lie to you know. So it's not just a you know in in line or in the slot they've been using. Yeah. In some wide receiver formation, you might be their number two receiver he might be it could be it, and the gas hasn't developed a great tight end in several years. So I don't know if that I think that might just be circumstantial more than anything else. Well, he's got he's got a good hasn't developed anything. Receiver he's developed some equitable Megan do some slot receiver numbers. Entry. Jamison crowder it though okay. Right Jamie who who's the other tight end Darwin I mean I. I can't say enough good things about my buddy blake. Again. I think you look at what the target share is. One hundred, sixty, six targets available between COBB and and being gone. But just look at eighty three targets that wouldn't left if you get eighty plus targets that puts you in the conversation as I told you. Adam pushing the room where it happens..

"We've seen him. Start to have to regularly deal with injuries the last couple of years when he is healthy, he produces. He had twelve hundred yards when he was able to play fourteen games and twenty eighteen, but the problem is, he can't consistently stay on the field like he used to. And for the first time he has some real competition for targets. They're in Indianapolis and his type played. Doesn't Mesh well with Philip. Rivers as the other two players on this list, the specifically Michael Pittman who I'll get to hear shortly. So there's a lot of risk with how high he's being taken right now. I understand why is ranking is there because he's had seasons where he's been in a number one wide receiver, but he dropped off pretty severely in two thousand, nine hundred. And a couple of things you want to consider. One. They have an aging quarterback. They have an older quarterback in Philip rivers, so he may not be asked to throw the ball nearly as much as Andrew. Luck did when he was there. So that's GonNa Limit Hilton from that perspective and then two guys. They're going to run the ball a lot this year. They already have Marlin Mack. Who had a solid twenty nineteen campaign? Wasn't you know? Know I- amazing running back, but he was able to get the job done. He's a solid workhorse guy. And then they go out and draft Jonathan Taylor in the second round. That tells me that they're definitely going to want to be more. Run focused in two thousand twenty, which makes sense because as I mentioned older quarterback, and they have one of the best offensive lines in the NFL so. So of course, you're going to want to pound the rock a little bit more, so there's a lot of things taking away from T.. Y. Hilton if he was a bona fide number one in that offense, and we knew what his role was gonNA. Look like with Philip Rivers. This ranking might be different, but the competition scares me and their potential to run the ball a lot more also. Also scares me here, so that brings me to my number two, that's Paris Campbell. He's sitting at wide receiver sixty three. His ADP's almost in the two hundred, so you can get him way later than t y, Hilton and the great thing about him is, he seems to be a younger version of them right? They drafted Paris Campbell to be T. Y. Hilton! He's being groomed as replacement. See in the stature in the speed of play style. These guys are nearly identical players Paris. Campbell is still developing a little bit now. What makes me nervous with Campbell and the only reason I don't have him higher than I do because as low as I am on Hilton. He still going to be on the field. He still going to be part of that offense, and with both these guys playing a similar role I can see there being real potential for them to kind of cancel each other out. And on top of that, that doesn't Mesh incredibly well with Philip rivers. Now. If Hilton were to miss some time, which is very possible. I think Campbell jumps up the board quite a bit. This point in his career I think Campbell is strong enough to be able to step right into that t Hilton Role, even though he may not be as good as Hilton was at its peak, he's still serviceable. Now. Here's the other side of that Campbell is also not exactly been the pinnacle of health. He missed nine games already in his first season. One season. He's already miss nine, so he's not. A fire candidates beyond the field, either so at this point I'm not super high on Paris Campbell or T. Y. Hilton, however I am excited about the team moving forward when Paris Campbell assuming he's able to stay. Healthy develops a little bit more and Hilton eventually moves off the team which could be as soon as next year. Paris Campbell and Michael Pittman have the potential to be one of the best young receiving core is in the NFL, which moves me on to Michael Pittman. He is sitting one spot lower Paris. Campbell right now as far as wide receivers go, and ADP is actually a little bit better, so the experts are really kind of going back and forth on these two guys. They're both very young. Their play styles are completely different, and that's why I actually favor. Pittman here a little bit more I think as I've been alluding to. I think Michael Pittman play style just fits a lot better with rivers than Campbell's does now Pittman. Is the best contested catch receiver on this team right now even as a rookie. That's the reason. He was drafted as high as he was. He's a big man. He's going to be was speed. He's not gonNA run greatest routes in the world, but he's going to go up and haul. Impasse passes just off of his physicality, and he has the potential to become a number one receiver in the NFL just off of that ability. Is that good at what he does and And what do we know about Philip rivers even as he gets older, the dude is a risk taker. He likes to swing the ball down the field and he's going to need someone reliable to pull passes in. That might not be the most accurate in the world, and that is where Michael. Pittman is going to shine on top of being incredibly physical. His catch radius is also pretty incredible, and he can be favors right off the bat. He can be a safety. Safety Valve who can get them plays down the field with consistency. I think the culture going to want to develop him quickly as I. mentioned. Hilton is likely on his way out after the twenty twenty season, so Campbell will step into that role. They're going to get pittman comfortable on the other side of the field this year, and you should be able to see him on the field plenty of times. He's going to be playing all year I think he has A. A wide receiver three ceiling this year again if he's able to really develop that relationship with Philip, rivers, I think he will, and then, as soon as next year I think that jumps up to a wide receiver to ceiling with Hilton out of the picture, and with rivers there for one more year, so I'm I'm really high on Michael Pittman, especially for his ADP, which again is in one seventy to one ninety right now somewhere in there depending on where you're drafting..

"He thinks a coin flip mazo. He's oh. I'm fatigued in the fact that i can't prescribe a true answer for ezekiel elliott. We don't know some things we it's all about risk mitigation for the fantasy owner. Do you wanna even and take the risk. Do you want to blacklist <hes> the andrew luck of the world. That's kind of up to right now. Frank reich came out. He said he wants to make a call on the team starting quarterback for week one following the third preseason game all we know about andrew luck is that they want to rehab this injury that he's probably not going to be a hundred percent if he plays this. This statement is is funny to me because frank rake. You're telling me that after the third preseason game if andrew lock is not ready. You're gonna say okay okay. Jacoby percenters are started for week. One and then andrew lock looks like charlie from the mighty ducks who returns from his injuries. I woke up and it doesn't hurt anymore and you go nah man. We're going to stick with jacoby every well. There's a reason and we the night before the game and you're going to say oh andrew you can play great. You're the quarterback but the reason he's saying it now before preseason week. Two is clearly. I mean the only reason to say it. Now is to send a message to luck. I mean to say look look. I want to name this zoom. I i mean i would imagine there's a little bit of frustration remember. This injury happened a long time ago and they came into camp and wants training camp started day one. He was in a you know he was off to the side day to he was on the field. Look back so they thought the time line was was over and then he was out again so i think there's frustration going on here and it to me. Luck is off my board or at least down in the double digit rounds. I'm and like i said pairing tearing with another quarterback because i don't. I don't want to trust right now. <hes> that situation and i i'm pretty much avoiding most of the colts receivers i t y hilton who's looked like a great value. Now scares me. <hes> you know we we've not been bullish on eric hebron already and if you don't have locked that's even worse paris campbell as a rookie. I'm i'm i'm avoiding the colts if it's pricey and i don't i don't get the impression that he's frustrated with andrew lock myself like i don't. I don't jump to that conclusion but all the peripheral weapons like t. y. Hilton will still be valuable people. Yes the high end ceiling. Maybe that doesn't happen. He had games to be eighty percent last year while injured where he still was the top receiver they came few and far between but is still happen. Either the distance he goes down find shis all the tight ends news paris campbell all the all the outlook even the mar- running backs it just gets so murky odell beckham junior's dealing with injury jason. Are you worried <hes> yeah. I am actually talked about this a little bit. I'm not worried like oh. He's he's not. He's going to miss games. <hes> and i'll explain my i worry a little bit later in one of the tips but it's just it's just a reminder that i do think odell beckham caries risk that we don't necessarily apply to him in in general amari cooper dealing with a ligament issue in the foot unlikely to participate in the preseason. Matthew bats are injury expert from the ultimate ultimate draft kit. He believes his week. One status is in jeopardy <hes>. We don't know how bad this is. The team doesn't seem to have that level of concern. It was initially reported as a plantar. Fascia irritation announced being called a ligament injury. We just need to pay attention to it but as risk ratings going up for me today. Yes <hes> maybe some we talked about the cowboys early season schedule. Those three games look real nice. Michael gala might be able to start my callup in week one week..

"Seconds play last year there in the fifth most place <hes> health now in year two looks. I actually think this is the year he'll take off this Gordon Hayward on the Celtics like you need a season and then you have the season in the first three starts of looks. Looks Twenty eighteen. He attempted or his yards per attempt was only five point three or four yards and had a five to three touch sent interception ratio and after that completely took off so the slow start the season will not repeat with luck and I was just as the injury thing right yeah it's just that shows Foley yeah shoulder and she did snowboarding but let's not keep him off the snow and then lasts protection. He was sacked eighteen times in sixteen games last year and the average thirty five sacks over the last four seasons he went from the League's worst at a League's best sacred so I the sacrifice the perfect Anna because decay idea leave luck is your bandwagon and part of which is that Sacree Yes so the bandwagon pick is the guy who you like but you're a little bit worried too. Many the people are in on that bandwagon so it just makes a little bit nervous and so everything that Craig's said is exactly why I'm a little bit worried and a little bit leery about lock <hes> it was his most efficient year of his career by far the sacrament thing was outstanding outstanding. I you know they they might be able to keep that up this year. They might maybe due to ski. Maybe it's their offense of is just that good but <hes> I worry a little bit. That's GonNa Kinda regress towards the mean a little bit in that area that could affect Lux bottom line <hes> they didn't do a ton. I don't think to necessarily add much talent to there to their offense. Obviously Paris Campbell is an x factor in if he could develop as a rookie and be like a big threat for them that will kind of change my thinking but we've seen a lot of times rookie receiver fever stomach a huge impact on their first year especially guys like Campbell who doesn't have a ton of experience like running in n._F._l.. Route tree or whatever so that kind of worries me a little bit <hes> his touchdown rate spiked a little bit last season six six point one is above his career average of five..

"They added Devon punches. They drafted. Paris Campbell to do the confli from Ohio State. They also their pass rushes kind of hit or miss d'amico, Autry had a good year last year, but Justin Houston, who is he a little over the hill? Is he a great pass rusher anymore? Probably not. But he's so good against the writings, a good player. To me. That's the biggest question Mark there DB's, you know, hit or miss, but their offensive line is much improved their wide receivers long as you got lucky going gonna produce. They hit a home run last year with Eric Hebron mean Quinton Nelson looks like a hall of Famer the middle linebacker. They drafted last year in the second round dairies Leonard was a store, their coaches solid you gotta like their team. I mean, I just usually the Indianapolis Colts nine and a half it feels like I will be shellshocked, if they don't win double digit games. And I at the end of the day, like him to win eleven or twelve I think they win the division, you can get them, plus one twenty to win the division the Texans. They had, you know, interesting off season, just fired their general manager at took a first round offensive lineman who not the casual football fan has never heard of because he was a small school guy. They were jumped, you know, by Howie Roseman, the Philadelphia Eagles before they're packed for what many viewed is the best probably highest upside. Offense. Linemen in the draft definitely the best passed protecting offense alignment of the draft. Andre Dillard, and that's the big problem with Texans. They can't pass protect. Don't love Lamar Miller. But Hopkins store will Fuller's coming back to Shawn Watson a good player defensively..

"But with the addition of Paris Campbell just being added to the mix, you know, Jack Doyle, maybe playing a full year. With Jack Doyle to let's stop. You have the six four guy down funches who run slower than my grandma. I mean, come on to a lot of things that a lot of things in life that keep you up at night and Jack Doyle's not one of them. So. You had a saw arguments you throw out Jack Doyle is it's like that's going to be an impediment to them funchess. So Jack Doyle had more targets per route run last year than Eric Ibran. So he plays more time jackdaws the tight end that I'm going after. And if he plays more time, they'll also take away from down funches who was basically a tight and playing outside wide receiver. So I think that obviously is going to be good for the team good for the red zone. Specifically. But let's be serious. He's gonna be inconsistent. His his ceiling is definitely got to be capped. He's not gonna have a thousand year thousand yard never everyone. Everyone else is gonna be playing checkers. I'm going to be playing some fun chess. We're losing the audience every time you speak with one of these stupid names. The point. I was gonna make quickly was that set you mentioned LeBron who had shown way more flashes or had then the funchess ever has in the past in my opinion turned it on last year. I think the argument for funches is Dwayne Allen catching eight touchdowns in twenty fourteen from Andrew luck, that's guy that shows. And so again, Jeff as you said it'll be super touchdown dependent. But if Dwayne Allen can catch eight touchdowns in the red zone from Andrew luck than than even funches can do it as, you know, even if he is slow than your grandmother, in my opinion. But I mean, he eight touchdowns still finished somewhere around the fifty eight ranked wide receiver was last year behind Christian Kirk and your grandmother's definitely slower than funchess gets on. Very dumps..

"Out this off season. So the only way to improve the talent level at that area of the team on the defensive line is to be able to draft the guy like trista meal next up the Indianapolis Colts. Reggie Wayne will certainly come back out and try to irritate the local titans fans colts have got defense with their first two picks of this draft. Well, we got a lot of picks. What the fifty ninth pick of the two thousand nineteen NFL draft. The Indianapolis Colts select Paris Campbell receiver Ohio State. Juniors player profile. We look at his size look at his work ethic. Great character. Tremendous four three speed didn't always translate the field in terms of the average per catch being what you wanted to be. But if you go back to the Michigan game this year, you saw some run after catch ability your show, some loosen this in this game caught the ball away from his body. And a lot of games. I watched the one film. He was sharp and out of his cut got some separation at the end the route, which is important the NFL. I think he can all come together they can maximize all that talent and ability, and we know he has the work ethic and the desire to be great Paris Campbell the chance to be what have to player issue right now in the concern was he didn't always way to the level of that tremendous Allen. Harris campbell. So new covers to the coach this year from Michigan and one from Ohio State. I always love to point out the rivalries. Devin funchess comes in and they drafted camp. Yeah..

"It's the time of the best. And then Mitchell is a similar mold of your in terms of the build in terms of the physical ability. He's definitely a day three guy. You know? I think if Mitchell comes in I'm not sure he's wide receiver three over mccollum's right away on it means he's like a late option, but deebo in hall, both very much interest me as potential round to round three. And then if you can get hall around for that's huge but round to round three guys that would be replacing agw or in terms of his role in the offense. How he's deployed. I will say, you know, you brought up if they draft this guy who gets more. Lot reps. I would love to see. Also, get more slot wraps was on that we talked about in the in the beginning of the season. He actually the first two weeks of his availability week four week five against the titans in week four and the Vikings week five Jeffrey actually took a combined thirty three snaps out of the slot for the remaining sixteen remaining fifteen games that he played he then subsequently took seventy five snaps combined. So like a third of his snaps slot came in those first two games. And then after that, you know, he kind of had see ause numbers drop. I love see him move back into this life because I think his his his size and his quick ability to separate on the short rows makes a lot of sense there slut by committee. Hey, what do you think of this cop? I just thought of this. And I can't believe I haven't thought of it before it was a player. I really liked them last year's NFL draft class if I were to comp deebo Samuel VJ or right now went out more had I think more like true running back sort of like when you got the guy the ball behind line of scrimmage. It was like shoot. Kate can move. Yeah. On a he was a bit more like a gadget sort of a guy. I think deals bet around better natural catcher better job addressing coverage. It's cetera. But from a body type perspective, we have like five eleven to ten guys playing wide receiver and they're both deadly and space. So yeah, for sure that that's that's a that's a confident. I've seen before makes sense. Ben anything else to say about this wide receiver class the possibility. Let's talk about Hollywood a twenty five about what that means. Yeah. Let's do that. Because that's interesting to me. Tony pauline. By the way, saying that he doesn't believe that marquees Brown will even be there. So if the rentals did wanna target him, it might not even be at twenty five. It might have to be a trait up which is super fascinating to me and not necessarily my Cup of tea bend. What do you think? Very interesting a few things number one. I officially no longer thing became at caps. The first rider see Roth aboard because I mean, I'll put it to you this way. What what teams are picking a wide receiver? Baltimore Seattle right in that twenty one twenty two range one going Seattle interest me valid Baltimore hasn't had. Traditional experts ver I can't you when right? We're calling Michael crapshoot traditional cool. I've call him a bad axe. But that's just me. What about the fact that they're basically moving to the flex bone offense. And they're gonna need their Calvin Johnson on the outside not calling decay Metcalf, Calvin Johnson put that on me. I'm just saying body that can go Gifty ago. All I heard was decay Metcalf. Minimum counting Johnson. No. I mean, like, listen, I'd love to convince myself Greg Rahman image morning, where you're gonna do that all brave it when I see it. You know, what I mean to me, I think they're going to draft paras Campbell? But Lamar Paris Campbell out Collins on the same backfield and be like, let's get in freaky in the T-Bone. But like, I know Washington doesn't like decay. I don't think the Packers are gonna be willing to spend whole indicate. I don't think buffalo the giants aren't gonna draft the wide receiver. I don't think Buffalo's gonna take wide receiver in this class over defensive player they desperately need tough to find his spot. Meanwhile, we keep hearing so much about three guys. Hollywood Paris Campbell and not bother Highwood pairs Campbell and Asia Brown as guys who potentially surprise people getting into run Wallner in that area..

"K J hill. They're very interesting Bill, though, his overall point and that was that the work for those guys is just starting the coaches are away now. But how important is that summer? The especially with a quarterback has we were talking about before. Like a Justin feels it hasn't been that long. The seven on sevens and practicing on your own with the receivers getting out there. And throwing how important is this stretch of the next few months before camp? By now, the masters is on E talk about the relationship between a golfer in his caddy. Okay. What clubs and they you know, they have a great relationship with quarterback and receiver. I mean, you have to know your man, it's out Dwayne hassle. So good. He had a lot of different Cevers differ. Speed different talents broke different points on certain patterns and things like that. And to be really good. I mean, nasty like a machine and right now till August. Those guys spend so much time together in the indoor and outdoor fields. You know, learning each other's abilities, very important. And I thought it was really telling just Caja hill alluded to it was that he got better after that first series. And for me, it showed how quick Justin fields able to just pick up on everything because he was able to establish a rhythm. I know can drop that he probably want back but the between him and the wide receiver. So he's had very limited time with three months, maybe less than that. He was able to quickly pick that up, and you hope that that can just keep that rhythm going. And just quicker and quicker as they install more plays more styles of offense. I it was the the I guess the sky's the limit for Justin fields with wide receiver core. Just because of the talent with the quarterback and the White House. Remember, what turned out to be an infamous big ten media days last year for other reasons? But Paris Campbell was there, and I had a chance to talk to him. And Billy said because I was asked about the Wayne and getting ready for the season. And he said we had a text group with the receivers and the quarterback. And he said Wayne was always like texting like, hey, I'm going to throw wants to come. And that's kind of what cage as saying those guys their relationship is very important on and off the field to different sway used to be used to be home for two months. You sell each other and August. Yeah. When you come back to camp right now, nobody goes home, and they work out every day on those things I and so the such a fine line between an incompletion. Completion a completion interception that that ball has to be placed at just the right spot. Just the right time that goes into it is precision game anymore and those guys have to work at it. Continually final break, and then we are back we'll wrap up our best Buckeye coverage. Spring game show Matt McCoy Bill Connerly, Eric Reaser with you on.

"And just the hoffitz the defensive standpoint, you're going to get great players are constantly tell these stones of a scene pressman that get some of the best corners Gary on marshawn allied. And you know, some guys that we have come out kindle as well. So. Deftly prepares you for situations. Like this. We have changed the coach of highest they received. I'm seeing now online top guys when it come to live state. And that's how it should be the chance to be coached by coach heartline and playing goes days offense and be a part of greatness around you. I we sent a new standard on that was paid before. I've seen San Antonio homes around here. He's giving me point or so that's the coach of university. Royal our state to be here with guys I consider family to me. We're all your for each other trying to make our dreams come through. Obviously the talent to play in the NFL. So I don't think anything's gonna Trump that. But that coach ability is definitely big questions. I've gotten his do take coaching will. And I tell him I like coaches who get on me. I don't wanna coach who were just gonna tell me. Yes. Someone come to you and ask how is that route? What can I do that? And just having that type of that push is is what you look for. You can't take coaching personal one thing. Ohio stays is very honest. You wanna know where you stand in all aspects training on the deal. So you want that forces you to make your weakness strength coming out of a program where you're speaking to win a lot used the winning being a leader. I was a candidate. Joys world so coming in Ohio State, I had those winning type qualities which they loved about me. And. It was a grind I was used to working really hard. So the way I was raised to further that as well. I picked up the playbook in pretty much one day. I remember I was part of open raiders team. So coast being and I remember takes six thirty in the morning trying to meet going over the first day install a strength of my game speed. So if I can play as as I have to be confident in what I'm doing that helps me do that. So I try to learn conceptual as well, not necessarily just what I have if I'm Z or played a lot of slot, which was a little different from me. But I've never civility is is allows you do have more. Equity on on NFL roster. So that was a great chat with horn and up next. We have his teammate at Ohio State Paris Campbell..

The NFL combine house dates Nick Bowes ended his season with a core muscle injury, eventually withdrew from school to re had the injury and prep for the NFL draft. He will do a full workout today when the defensive linemen and linebackers go through their onfield work. Former Penn State quarterback trace McSorley asked he would be willing to go through onfield drill. With the defensive backs on Monday to which the signal caller declined with more from the combine on Saturday Louis Riddick. Todd mcshay milk, hyper junior. Join Trey wingo quarterbacks and wide receivers. Go through the paces today. Why would we hear for that? Because we had eight hundred forty seven touchdown passes throwing last year and the NFL's regular season. Most we've ever had who impressed you the most full for me it starts and ends with Dwayne Haskins. I mean, Trey he really solidified himself to be in contention with Colin Murray at the very top of this draft that there's to be some people who will maybe rank him above or some people won't some people prefer athleticism. Some people will prefer the pocket passing nature Blaine Haskins when he sat up here on our on our set was very impressive with the way he described how he went through this workout and prepared for an executed. I mean, you talk about checking boxes, he's checking boxes, ma'am. Temples that sounded like old soul when he was up fifty touchdowns against interceptions doesn't hurt either. What about you Haskins? Teammate Paris Campbell the wide receiver out of Ohio State. Listen, he doesn't always play like this. But the numbers he put up today. We're really impressive. He ran the fastest time. Tied would Isabelle from new massive four free one in the forty yard. Dash he had a forty inch vertical and he also had an eleven three broad jump, which are outstanding measurements. This guy has first round measurements. Now, you got to go back to the tape and figure out what are you really getting? What about you? Mel who I'm gonna go to another wide receiver all MRs vk Medicare? You think about bloodlines thinking about looking the part he did sixty seven career receptions won't impress. A lot of people certainly the injuries to the last three years, but boy four three three a two hundred and twenty eight pounds and a forty and a half vertical. I had top ten going in. But I'll probably remain top ten in terms of a projection for decay Metcalf. Kaelin's Aquarius Metcalf is the full name for those that don't know his father was an offensive lineman, his uncle and his grandfather were both running backs. That's a really good combination. And that's how you get someone would that size in that speech. Eric McCaffrey call. This guy is a monster. An absolute monster, whatever it is. It was absolutely working. So that was quarterbacks and wide receivers coming up on Sunday. We'll have defensive linemen and lemon and lime potentially another number one overall pick in the draft Nick Bosa has been pretty impressive so far in in the in the weights and things that he's put up there. His tape is really what defines him. He may not come out here and blow the numbers out as far as jumping and running. But tell you what just like Joey the guy can flat out play. So I don't care what he does out here. I just wanted to stay healthy. So we can get through the draft and in twenty years of doing this. I don't know that we're that. I've seen a better defensive line group than what we're going to see tomorrow talking about first rounders littered all over it really impressed with this group. Calamari did not take the field at the combine. But it tends to throw at his Oklahoma pro day on March thirteenth t spoke. With our Anderson stepped on the scale and.

"Started the twenty two yard live jet. Sweep Campbell out to the four Whiteside. Thirty forty fifty to forty thirty. Touchdown Paris Campbell on a seventy eight yard scoring ESPN radio on the call there. Sixty two thirty nine they've been playing that game for one hundred and fifteen years. That's the most points Ohio State has ever scored the second most points that Michigan has ever allowed as a program. Yeah. As I throw Graham. Yeah. That's that's a lot. That's listen. Listen, I mean, this is the team that Ohio State has wanted to put on the field the entire year. This was a complete of a game as they've had. But here's the thing. John Jansen isn't Michigan guy sideline? Play by play guy. We were talking to him last week on our radio show. And he said the only thing that concerns me about this game is the fact that Ohio State hasn't lost in Columbus to Michigan since the year two thousand and that's what I saw. That was not the Michigan team that we've seen all year. Chase renovation was nowhere to be seen Devin Bush was. Not a factor in this game as well as Ohio State plate Michigan just lay down. You know, what that was that was Jim Harbaugh being Jim Harbaugh? His guys came out tight. They weren't ready to play. And guess what? That's why it's seven straight wins for Michigan. And they've won fourteen out of the last fifteen against the wolverines. All right. Do you believe it sports cars, we'll continue with that? Also, chaos broke out between in Tallahassee between FSU in Florida..

"They're growing. I think we're seeing what's got frost wants to see. How state is a mess offense defensively a mess. Now, they go to Michigan state. I expect him to win because I don't think Michigan state can do enough offensively. But allow state should not even be in a playoff conversation right now. No. But they are because guess what? With the landscape of college football being. The way it is say after that top group get into a lot of mediocrity. But hey when the game beat Michigan when the big ten title move one you're talking about a team not yet. Play the game. We keep waiting for Ohio State to put it all together. They're only Dari a three and a half point favorite in writing Michigan's eighth run defense. They only allow two five carry. So it's going to be up to two Haskins who's been on his game. Most of the time to do the job here. They gotta get Paris Campbell more heavily involved Johnny Dixon's coming on Paris Campbell wide receiver needs to really start making some more plays. But I think this is state. We keep waiting before you know, it the going to be over and we're still going to be waiting when is state gonna play their so-called A plus game. They have not done it yet. Number eleven Kentucky. Tennessee. How do they respond? Still the best season Kentucky's hat in my goodness decades. Quite frankly, I mean, they're sitting there at seven and two right now. But here's the thing there the goal that probably wasn't there realistic goal before the season, but became their realistic goal is now gone. They got beat by Georgia at home. They got thumped frankly by Georgia at home. Now, they can't win the east. That's Georgia's that's wrapped up. How do they bounce back from disappointment? They go on the road to Tennessee. Tennessee looked frankly awful last week in a fourteen three home win against Charlotte. But I wanna see this see how this Kentucky program. They're still sitting there ranked eleventh in the college football playoff raking, Mark stoops. I'm a huge fan of Mark stoops. And it's not just because of the guy's last name. But I wanna see how his guys bounce back from disappointment. Because if they are not careful, I think Tennessee could get them. Yeah. I think you look at Tennessee Dr. And you say what is Kentucky have to do. What's the best way to outs back is the run the football down somebody's throat? And that's Benny Snell. They gotta get him back on track is average averaging five one to carry for the year. But the last two games he's average less than three eight a carry Al fence line led by Butch stallings has got to start moving people off the ball and Tennessee's defense soft against the run their eighty seven seventh and per carry average allowed on.

"Being attended to by the trainers out on the field. Thomas did get hurt his freshman year and sat out basically the whole year. Because obviously this is his first year back and actually playing he's done a nice job. And it was up. He knows what he's doing. He's where he's supposed to be plays hard. Off the field under result power. And I mean, he is over a trader over there. But he looks like he's all right. Well, he's being followed by four three doctors. So we should be. Pretty good hands. So at any rate Allen to the sideline hit. Coach's kid get hurt. He gets three doctors on it. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. Everybody gets the same treatment over there. There's no doubt about that. Just kidding. I'm just kidding the Bahamas resting data for twenty nine yard line. It's first and ten and that's one play resumes for Ohio State buck- on this drive. They have they been off some big chunks of yada. Yeah. Nothing's been. I think it is. They ever run the quarterback. So that'd be pretty successful stole the football. And they get there. They get the numbers right in Dobbins, rip some. Just a dynamic offense with playmakers everywhere, and that's the differences. Okay. You get a play there dynamic guys round, the place and big chunks is right. Six six thirteen ten and seventeen on the last four. So very quickly there at Indiana territory and Indiana seventeen to fourteen lay we have fifty two seconds remaining here in the first half as Indiana has given the buckeyes battle here in this first two quarters of play, but Indiana's gotta maintain what they have been able to do offense. And the defense has got to get a little stiffer. Well, they do the good news on this side of it is offense doesn't look like it's going to slow down anytime soon. Either. So all in a game where the anticipate maybe allows store points Indiana's going to score their own set of points, Sarah, which is really good news back. The other thing about the offense today, and we mentioned this during the break. The offense line is doing your heck. Yeah. That's the best performance by far against a really good defense in line. And some impresses by their linebackers to just Stevie Scottsdale. Nut butter surpassed prediction to give it a quarterback a chance to get the ball downfield chance for the receivers to make plays. So this offense is dialed up and and and and really on the right page. The defense of style up here. They need to get another turnover or at least get here. Basically, the only way they stopped him as takeaways, right? They've got two of those today. Interception. Now, it is I ten at the twenty nine of you at Haskins in the backfield has. Whoever back there with him. Oh, boy, they just waited long enough to ball shoulders going to blitz coverage. So look out for shot berry also back there. Now, he steps up to the left. Here is the hand off the ghost of Weber got low. She breaks the tackle these data the fifteen ten and finally brought down inside the ten yard lied. James had junior was there with a ball to find me make me stop the play. But not before they are knocking at the door Marcellina balls Blitzer from the sideline. I don't know if they change the play, but they ran away from that blitz about a huge and again styles. Tailbacks are dynamically. Here's the snap. Here's the gift Weber tries the right side, spins his way to the five yard line. He'll pick up. A couple of flag comes down lake Marcelino ball makes the stop on the play could be holding that could be back there by the backside guy. Haskins comes over. During the holding office number seventy eight. Dimitrius Knox is the man guilty of the penalty. He is the right guard for Ohio State. I don't know if that's good news. Just more gives me gives them more space than it gives another down and distance another first down call here. Sometimes honestly, sometimes it's almost it's impossible to not take a ten yard penalty. But sometimes it's in your best interest. Not to take it down. First and goal at the eighteen now salvage turns out fast ins Dobbins to his right? Emotion. Berry to the lower tiers the stamp act the Haskins he looks he looks. He has lots of time. He finds his receiver Paris Campbell. Enter the answer. Ray Jones had the coverage on but he wanted to Harris Campbell. Well, there's a good example of it. They just got more room in Iran across route and their speed got him in the end zone. But again, we talked about it. Can't take you cannot take ten yards. I don't think but against this offense. You might wanna think about it next time. Endzone? I'm telling you that's true for thirty nine left here in the first half of play an Indiana gives the lead back to Ohio State. Nuernberger on who attempt. The extra point kick up here though. Here's the kick and kick is good. So the buckeyes regained the lead there back on top by four twenty one to seventeen with four thirty nine to go here in the first half of this football games. Are you ready to get to work Ivy? Tech community college offers programs that lead to high demand careers with real world experienced instructors in state of the art labs, preparing you for a high wage job. Visit ivytech dot EDU to learn more. State. Now takes the lead back top of Indiana. Twenty one to seventeen thousand nine to go here in the first half a buck. We've seen a lot of offense in this. Yeah. More than I anticipated. And again, they just opened up their game and playbook. And really throwing the ball football fix. Wipe is players is really magnificent Ohio State is everything that they have been tolerated on offense. They are they are spectacular office. But Indiana right now is in a shootout they've got four minutes and thirty nine seconds and do something what the heck six plays seventy five yards. Two minutes and twenty five seconds taken off the clock. But the buckeyes scored quickly regained the lead Paris Campbell's eighteen yard pass from Dwight Haskins is what has given the buckeyes the advantage. Now this football game. Here comes the kickoff by Blake hall Bill and the high end over end boot goes over Mike jets had out of bounds and it'll come out to the twenty five of their touchdown. Why don't we waste our time? Even talking about the kickoff. Honestly that thing Eric and then everybody fair catches it and. It's a dinosaur. I prayed last two possessions Indiana's had eleven plays eleven passes. Yeah. Not a single run. Oh, I'm telling you. I'm telling you in the shea talked about bringing your house quarterbacks back into the home in the state, let it rip. Put him up. Let him rip paid Ramsey in an empty backfield. Three receivers nearside to to the far. Ramsey. Takes the snap. Throws it quickly the ball caught out here. Nice grant by retailer. He turns around the ball went to the grand. I think he was down yesterday officials signals. He was down with the volcano. Was down to the bone. It'll be second data and one the ball or the pickup a nine yard gain of the play for Indiana and the ball resting of the thirty four yard line. Nice little move off their cats one of the outside got some extra yards. CB Scott back in the game. Now, we're going to look at it. Now, they are going to look. The ruling on a film. Now the ball coming loose from the front of the review. This should not be very long. Well, they turned it around the other time. Well, this is look at that. Ball brock? Oh, I don't want. His he's down. I don't know. It might be incomplete. Who knows? I don't know what they're going to do here. Yeah. Well, we'll see your job. Well, I was I didn't even have a clue the last time. So well. Again. Well, then nobody is we're going to sit up very. You know, we're gonna do gonna wait for the official that isn't that dynamic unique unique rush. Yeah. What is your your? Best in the country, Idaho by your peers, which you don't have any peers voted one. Yeah. I don't have any peers because there's nobody that bad. Dealers behind you manufacturer of Indiana working together working for you and tried to support athletics hall fames are you in twenty eight hundred four hundred and go there, please don't go there. Well, I'm paying you back. For. I'll tell you later. Maybe I won't tell you later. Taking a long time here buck. Well, they are. And there's a lot of people in this stadium waiting for the outcome. I usually say there's plenty of good seats available. Not not so much here in that corner up there. There's some over in that corner. Six over there. If you want to come. They see one hundred and five thousand in the stadium, generally, they can actually pack one hundred ten thousand they say while they're looking now they're looking at the clock. See what it is. So. The ball was coming down. Twenty five seconds. So they call that a fumble. That's exactly what you didn't want right there. That is a while while while you got to recruit your past. You're you're thinking you got something going on offense. Jordan Palmer was credited with the recovery. For state the ball is resting at the thirty two yard.

"Zone here at Ohio stadium. Mike Weber is in the backfield with passan's. Here's the staff back handed off the Weber Weber tries the left side and Indiana polls that after about a three yard pick up to the thirty six yard line. It will be second seven. In Ohio State is really trying to run the football. And I had a lot of I I'll runs in Indiana is playing run defense against it. Safeties up playing man to man coverage on the outside here is again granted Wilson and James head habitat on that last play both moved to the left side now Haskins says something offensive line steps. Back into gun takes the staff. Watch the throw it looks over the middle. Fires the football. And that is incomplete Paris Campbell the intended receiver on the play, but it was a bit overthrown Jonathan property. The coverage on the flavor of the atom was overthrown behind him an immediate you around. But Indiana was not set on defense. Again, they were rotating their less side the right side he got caught in that rotation. So. Gotta get those calls in there. It gets set. Ballgame linebacker think TD Rufus in there with him right now. Here's the staff back and Haskins. Throws it very quickly out here in flat and the made by Paris Campbell. Again, he's brought down immediately by Crawford, and it's just shy of a first down. So it's going to bring up four down at one for Ohio State. They look like they're going for and they're gonna go fast and the entrance to get setup Haskins awaits the snap looks to the sideline. There's no time out to be thinking about this either. Right. They change it personnel. In now in the Anna can change if they want. Haskins. Does take the snap hands at the Weber Weber. Got he's got the first down. And then he is brought down to the ground and van making the tackle for Indiana. This time is Marcelino ball. They just ran as a big time collision Marcelino hung on for the tackle. But they had little tackle trapped inside there had a huge hole for that. Run boy. Great field position. Neighbor have gotten out of the play. But they did not get the stopping the buckeyes continuous Haskins. Takes a quick snap hands into Weber. And actually has kept the football. Disney is Darius Willis.
