"Why? Because it's good, and I know I won't be disappointed. Right? And I know at the end of the meal, I won't go, bam, that was okay, but man, I miss my old staple. Old coaches that have been around, they know exactly what they're looking for. They go out and get it. So whereas some people are panicking, I'm not panicking, but I'm starting to get a little curious as to what's taking so long. You think I like curious, I like that. You think Peyton's over there just saying, we're good. Yeah. We're good, please. I know what I want. Right. I know what I need. I know what I'm looking for. We're just hammering out the details. Just like, you know, just like the whole paid Manning search. Is it Jim Harbaugh? Is there a new coach in your, is it champagne? No, Sean Payne, no, tamika Ryan's way. D'amico Ryan's, do we go rise? Doesn't want to be here. He wants to be in Houston. Screwed to me go Ryan. Let's go. No. Just take your whole thing. Make it right. Get the guy you want, and then figure out what it's going to cost you. And that becomes the owners. One of the reasons Sean's here, one of the reasons he's here, what? Ownership. I want ownership with deep pockets that doesn't flinch when I say, this is the guy I want. Go figure it out. Now they'll do their due diligence and they'll take their time. But it'll get done. Why? Because that's the ownership that you put in place. I keep coming back to the Bill Parcells influence. Did you honestly think that when Bill Parcells was coaching the Giants and he had Bill Belichick as his defensive coordinator and stuff like that? Do you really think that they were like, oh man, we just gotta, we gotta grind over every last bit of tape. We just gotta put in crazy hours. We just have to just, or do you think at some point they knew what they wanted? Of course, you think you think, especially by the end of Parcells, run once you become established, because you think Belichick right now, you don't think that they know what they're looking for, what they like, now they don't hit a home run every single time, but they know what they're looking for. They have a system. They could easily say, hey, we're looking for. So if you're Sean Payton, you're like looking at running backs, for example. You're going to be able to say, hey, I'm looking for a Khmer type. I'm looking for Mark Ingram type. Defensive guys, who are some of the great defensive players he had over the years. I was just thinking in the middle linebacker position. Pepper Johnson, he had Steve diazi. New Orleans. In New Orleans. Yeah, the Peyton in New Orleans always going to lean on that front 7, always going to have defensive ends that could flat rush the passer, always going to be athletic, strong, D line wise. Middle linebacker who can fly. That's what they have had. And they've done a phenomenal job. Nickel guy who can play safety that can roam, but they know what they want. Yeah, you talk about Bill Belichick, man. Just a certain play, like a bunch of D lime and they can play outside their two gap type of D line and D end, four technique, three technique, the Lyman, that can flat play. Guys off the edge that can rush the passer. A couple of just hammerhead middle linebackers back, that was back in the day when it was a two back offense and everybody ran the ball. It's changed a little bit, but they know exactly what they're looking for. Yeah, whereas most young coaches, young staffs, they're like, study every player. We got to study every guy. Right. Whereas it will change and will change will change a philosophy. So they'll find a guy that they really like, it doesn't fit what we do, but maybe we should change what we do. Maybe we should, if we had this guy, we could do this and we could do this and we could do it. I'll tell you a quick story. I hold that thought. Okay, all that time. "With two hands and pulls it in. And again, Rodney swiping away at the ball and he's able to hang on to the ball. So it is, it is rich, the greatest catch in the history of the Super Bowl. Tom Coughlin here on the rich eisen show two times Super Bowl champion right here. A giant win inside the New York Giants historic upset over the Patriots in Super Bowl 42 available now where you get your books. What was your brief challenge? Did you ever talk to Belichick about this ever? Since no. Nothing. No, but people forget you might not because you watch. You're watching these things. When we held them, what, 38 seconds left. Right. So two rockets. Brady threw two rockets down the field. The first one was close defended the second was just defended. So there's a few seconds left and we got to go out and kneel down, you know? Across the field comes Bill Belichick. He comes about 5 yards from my sideline. I go out from the sideline. We hug. He says some very gracious things for a guy in that situation who had just bought everything he had to try to get the undefeated season for his history and for his patriot team, but then turned and left. He was criticized for that. You know, the game wasn't over. The game wasn't over. But that's how the thing ended was Bill walking back. And you went directly to the locker room. Well, but you guys are from the Parcells staff, right from back in the day. Yes, we are. What do you got for me on? What do you got for me on Parcells? Bill Parcells, story. Tom Coughlin that you can I don't have I mean, Parcells was Parcells. Very, very direct, there was never any wasted time, no wasted verbiage. You knew exactly what was expected of you. And he was a great guy to work for. Because he was so direct and of course we had a heck of a football team in 90 when we won that Super Bowl over the Buffalo Bills. But the experience for me was a great one in that with Wellington Mira with George young with Bill Parcells with continuity with the way they built their franchise and the way that they stuck with their franchise and their people. You remember in 88, we were ten and 6 got knocked out of the playoffs by the jets and mister Mary came in the next day and shook hands with everybody and thanked them for their contributions and later we're in the obviously in the playoffs in 89. We went at 90 mister America does not have to come in and shake our hand. You know, it's there for us. So the experience with Bill Parcells was a great one for me. I want to learning learning about winning. But there were great coaches on that staff. I mean, Belichick did a tremendous job. You know the historical story about his game against our defensive game against buffalo, our defensive game against the forty-niners. If we don't beat them, they win three in a row. That kind of stuff was just terrific. Tom Coughlin here on the rich eisen show. Do you have a sense of how Super Bowl 57 is going to go on Sunday? You got any opinion on your thinking. I'm just a fan like you are rich. Looking at that thing and seeing strong points from both teams and praying for a good game. Is there any comp comparison from a homes to the guys that you were either quarterback coaching or coaching against in your days? Tom. Well, we got one. The amazing thing about mahomes is that he has capability, but he's not escaping the run. He's escaping the provide more time for people to get open down the field and then he has an uncanny ability to be accurate on the move with all kinds of variety of plays with he's flipping the ball throwing it underhand whatever. He's very unique in that particular way. We've competed obviously down through the years with quarterbacks that are have outstanding mobility. And they are very, very difficult to defend. But this is a different style. They may run Andy's run the speed option and that type of thing. But I don't think we would see that if there's any threat of injury to that kid. Yeah, I know. I'm trying to figure out, I mean, he's not, I mean, Elway was huge. Big, huge body guy. Rogers, like maybe he's a different version of Aaron Rodgers. I don't know if there's any comparison from a homes. I don't need right? I think they're unique. I think the three guys you just mentioned, they're all unique. Right. You had Elway with tremendous ability, the deep ball, they would roll in one way and you throw it back across the field 70 yards the other way. Aaron Rodgers is mobile, he's athletic. He has a great touch. He puts the ball right on the money down the field and mahomes is just a creator and done amazing things. For me, as I look at the evolution of the game, watching the playoff game a couple of years ago, we're with 13 seconds. They move the ball down the field kick the field goal this time. It was incredible.

"It done or are we not? Are we going to continue this relationship? Or are we not? And in football coaching, no different than any of the industries that we all work in, it's like, if I'm going to hire a coach, if I'm a head coach, and I'm going to hire assistance, I'm going to try to hire the best. Unless I'm Mark Jackson historically, Joe lacob wanted to hire a good coach as he refused very insecure twice never sniffed a job since. But for the most part, good coaches and Belichick, you know, Joe judge, map Patricia, that's a whole other thing. But most good head coaches want to hire the best assistants. And here are the two guys. And this really stood out to me during the hard knocks. They believed in Dan Campbell. The two guys, Bill Parcells, who got him into coaching and elevated him up the ranks. And Sean Payton, who made him his assistant head coach in right hand man. Let me repeat. Bill Parcells who is a Hall of Famer and Sean Payton who was just making 15 plus $1 million a year who we all acknowledge will be the number one coaching option starting next year every year moving forward until he comes back. It won't even be close, who is a Super Bowl champion who's a high, high level NFL coach. Those are the two guys that believed in Dan Campbell. So I do value when high level people believe in others. And we can make fun of Dan Campbell, he's a little meathead he. He can say some things that like, wait, one ass cheek, two toes. What's he talking about? Goes over my head a little bit. But I do think there is an authenticity to him when you watch him in front of the team. I don't know his schematic knowledge, but I don't think this guy's some village idiot that sometimes people make him out to be. Because Bill Barr sells and definitely Sean Payton who I would say is more of a schematic academic than Parcells who really kind of feels and I'm not comparing Dan Campbell saying he's the coach Bill Parcells, but Bill Parcells wasn't a scheme guy. That's what he had Belichick for. Bill Parcells was a tough guy. Was the motivator. Was the leader. So when you are that guy, you're very dependent, Mike Tomlin, John Harbaugh, on your assistant coaches. And here's what I'll say about his assistant coaches. I'm a big believer in when it comes to an assistant coach. I don't think you can just make an overall judgment in a short period of time on how good a position coach is or just how much he yells. But I do think there are certain guys when you're around them, your takeaway is like, yeah, this guy has it. My first year with the eagles in 2010, I was the lowest guy in the totem pole. Well, they also, from a coaching stand in the personnel department. Well, the coaching staff does the same thing. They have these things called like training camp interns. And sometimes, you know, former or former players that want to get into coaching, they kind of gravitate toward back to guys that they played for. And those guys give them an opportunity. Andy Reid made has made continues to make a career out of doing that. Do staley, Doug Peterson, Mike Kafka, I'm sure there are a ton of guys I'm missing.

And by the way, people, if you're just tuning in, this guy has been on Fox and Friends for how many years now? 25. Radio show for 13. Well, hold on a second. Did you just say 25? Yeah, I started doing it in junior high. I thought so. Yeah, it was crazy. Playing pop Warner football and they grabbed you. It took me 12 years to be to get to Fox. And then once I got there, I realized how great it was, even though no one had heard of it yet. So when it started, I started filling in as a sports guy, and then it evolved and things started going crazy from the war from the election mess to the war on terror to the Iraq War. First election mess. Failure to a 2000 Chad hanging chads. Yes. So you are the youngest living institution in the country. Seriously, that's amazing 25 years from the beginning. Yeah, I mean, I knew when I walked into that place who was going to be special, they were all about winning. They're all about substance. They're all about getting things done completion oriented. Every time they would be a negative story out, they would put their headline on the wall. I'm like, wow, they're not running for negative stories. They would laugh at being laughed at. These guys, this is like Bill Parcells. And the Giants before they were even 500. Until recently, I'm talking about the build ourselves just 25 years. Good

Right like i being a giants fan as a kid and watching keyshawn and knowing him a little bit i could feel. That's a parcells guy. When you look around the league who like players who may not put up the numbers or whatever but you say that guy. That guy does all the things that doesn't show up necessarily in the box score but that's a football player. Who are some of the guys you notice in the nfl like that nowadays. Well i liked that running back. At cleveland job. I mean i know he's producing well. But i'll tell you he he. I really like him. I think he's a terrific player Another guy that. Down your jones and saquon barkley to get things going for the giants. Well i think there is pressure because it's obvious that that if you're going to run effective offense you have to have and can't be one sided and barkley as part of that balance these guys get going and he's got across that mental barrier that you have to cost after you've had a very serious injury. What she's would. She had got his feet wet last week. You would expect to see maybe a little bit more this way. I think the giants offensively one of the issues. I you know. I really liked can day. The situation will not let you succeed and until they get a little more balancing the running a little bit better execution in the underneath routes. Then that's going to open it up for the wide receiver. It's going to be problematic but you know there's only one game in season. There's a lotta games to go. You can get better as you go. "The goodyear hotline. We're going through some of the biggest quarterback match ups of week two and take our pick of which. Qb is going to have the better week key. Daniel jones or taylor heineke take your pick. God i'm gonna go daniel jones. I'm gonna take the new york giant quarterback because he has a lot to prove Everybody's waiting to see him. Take the next step. I think thursday night football nationally televised game. Everybody will be watching. You know and see if he can learn from the mistakes that he made last week against the broncos matata reverse jinx it. Max i'm gonna go taylor heineke on this one. He you signs giants says hey look here. And how ron rivera believes and taylor hockey. Obviously we've seen him in doses. But i just worry about this d. line for the washington football team and look erin man. I got ninety nine problems and chase young as all of them. Yeah i'm to go pure quarterback play. I'll go with heineke for what you just said. Jay short week defense couldn't get off the field for the giants last week. They might be a little worn out but chase young is coming. And by the way andrew. Thomas i gotta give him props. He looked good week one like he looked good. I'm watching. he looked good. All right. we're asking you eric. Jay and max on the dr pepper twitter feed. Who will win. tonight's game. Seventy three percent of you have said the washington football team seventy-three percent. Yeah glamour glamour. Defense key baker. Mayfield or tyrod. Taylor breaker mayfield. He has a better football team. He has better team around him. In so i just think baker has played in the situation where played into a situation where he's now looking for a long term extension. He can't afford to go down. Oh in into. There's a lot riding on him tonight. Ob j. not in the lineup. So i expect for him. And not tonight but i expect for him this weekend. Play well whatever somebody punctures your your your your long i do for you. I mean i. I mean that's just that's a whole other conversation. I do find myself rooting for tyrod taylor. But i will tell you. Baker mayfield just understanding how kevin stefanski has dragged this team from the mud. Getting them to where they are. I don't see a drop-off mentally from the same. I think they are mentally stronger than what we're giving them. Credit for iago baker. It's what key said earlier. Some dues is like bad stuff happens to them. Tyrod taylor supposed to be a franchise quarterback somewhere somehow. It's always you get your lung punctured by a doctor and then this do justin herber sitting by you like all the bad luck matthew stafford carson wentz scheme show mcvay matthew stafford. They're going into indianapolis they're they're they're in the dome so you would think that this is gonna fair will for him. He's played in the dome's entire career. And so this. This'll be fun to watch. I'm gonna go carson wentz on this one you know matthew stafford i get it. I get it. He's sean mcveigh's golden child but these how bad secondary defense was for the bears. It wasn't the best defense even though we always talk about the bears defense. I think we we have to start giving carson wentz a little love here. He didn't play great in their last game. But i think there is greatness. I think right wilshire up that offensive line taking matthew stafford. That's all day. Coach looked at him and said him in my offense. I'm taking him all day. My three and a half by the way not interesting to know that. There's no something they are on the road. But that's interesting. okay mack. jones. Zack wilson keith. Mack jones magazines. Here's a better team. And and bill belichick in matt patricia and bill belichick son and all. It's too much on the defense aside for these young quarterback they don't eat him up. Bill belichick has time to prepare for. Who don't his left tackle. No macabre back. It's going to be a lot. we saw. Zach wilson were life last week against the panthers. What do you think we're gonna see this week against the pat casino. Blitzing every play unanimous. This is key keyshawn. J. will max. We're playing take your pick with quarterbacks who. We think we'll have a better game this weekend. Jimmy g. or jimmy g. and trae lance the combination of those two or jalen hurts key the combination of those two. I have a better game. Doesn't mean jalen hurts is going to have a bad game. It's just they'll have a better game. He's gone up against a very stout defence. He gets an opportunity to show everybody what it is san francisco on a long road trip going to philadelphia philadelphia fans jacked up. It'll be hostile environment. But i think philadelphia is not on par with san francisco's team. San francisco is one of the favorites. That come out of the nfc facts. I'm with yuki look. I love jalen hurts. He is my boy. I wanna see him. Be extremely successful was a great. See him play that way. In a road against falcons yes. It was but this will be a better gauge for. We're jalen hurts is against this style. Defense i'm gonna take jalen hurts because jimmy garoppolo is not gonna wow you with numbers anyway and philly might have an upset cooking here. It's possible man. I really like the way hurts. Looked in flashes last year. And in week one this year derek carr or ben rothlisberger key. That's interest it's gonna be a tough game right because here. You are having raiders traveling somewhat to the east in taking care of business taking care of business on late monday night against the baltimore ravens going up against the pittsburgh steelers defense. You would naturally think okay. He's gonna struggle because of the defense he doesn't necessarily have the weapons on a parameter that you would like to see him have against the steelers defense. I think he has a better game than them being around to the but i don't think they win. Yeah i think he has a better game. But i don't think they win. I wonder if the raiders can get anything going on the ground. i mean. that's what you saw them. Struggle with asking josh jacobs now toe injury. How will that factor into it for them. But i still think derek carr have a better game by pick the steelers win just like you guys agreed. But i got say something if it's one thing for the combination of gruden car that quarterback coach combination to beat the ravens at home which is a big big win for them. Because that's horrible..

"It's worked every time he's done it. The same way ba. Basically urban bill parcells of college their culture builders they don't stay around forever. They literally overnight parcels in urban more than sabin by the way seibu looks like takes like three years at michigan state. Three years at lsu didn't work at miami three years alabama before they were great so urban parcells turn it around overnight and parcels trick was always i mean bill parcells trick was he would take the roster in the nfl and rosser like fifty five people and really concentrate not on the top twenty players but the back end of the roster he would get these guys and these kinda like blue collar guys that you didn't see much on television. But they were like tough and they changed the locker. Urban in colleges done it through sheer recruiting right. Do in the nfl. You well a little bit. You know five or six players. But i think i just think i'm going to give urban year of this whole culture of i'm not even to give trevor lawrence starting the starting job and and this is not a knock on young men in the world. But you and i look at this and say it's common sense but you can move groups of men around look at are looking. At what are i think leadership is incredibly important in establishing a culture is massively important. You saw what happened. In cleveland's i think cleveland is the best example of that in the league right now. They were a dumpster fire for decades and now they are legitimate contenders and absolutely have a culture and absolutely have a leader and they and while they haven't paid him as such. I think baker is the leader of that team. For me if you prolong this too long. I'm going to start to think that maybe trevor lawrence isn't capable of winning those starting jogging again. We're only three weeks into it. So i like think he's gonna name. I think they're gonna play their final game. And then i think they'll name it it but i get the i just watch these ballot check creating culture it. It doesn't really matter in basketball. You just need players right and in baseball. I need an ace a good bullpen. But football's weird it. There's a lot of football. The difference sport i see both sides of it. I just think. In some cases with these quarterback competitions it starts to get a little bit like so as not actually capable of winning that job also more bad news for jacksonville. If you haven't heard yet. Travis suffered a significance hair and a serious liz frank injury that knocks him out for the next several months and potentially the season. He's going to have surgery. So i just looked up. Liz frank injuries. It's a weird injury. Looks like you'd be out two weeks but it says here you're often out twelve. Yeah it's l. I. s. f. r. n. c. I had no idea. I'd heard it before so i looked it up. 'cause i my my initial takeaways is a sprained ankle about twelve weeks. But it's a broken bone so it's just it needs a cast and he's by the way is running back planning his foot planning his foot so he's pry out at least until december january. Yeah so joe borough. Speaking of injuries hasn't played in the first two bengals preseason games and their head coach. that taylor won't reveal. He'll get any time in their last one. This weekend's he is coming off that. Acl mc l. injury from last season but his coach taylor said he's seen enough umbro berlin camp to know that he is going to be ready to play in the regular season. He had his injury about nine months ago. So this is actually for an injury of that nature of pretty amazing turnaround. If he's ready to go. I mean listen carson. Building Psychological Strength

"Now and so as a person. Who does the stuff that i tell you to. Do i really do practice what i preach. I wanna offer up a couple of things that i'm doing to help combat that loneliness just in case it ends up being helpful for us well so the first thing that i'm doing is around helping me in that social setting. I have an incredible friend named aaron. Who is the founder of an entrepreneurial group in the minneapolis area. This group is called coalition. Nine i've talked about them before. And i was on the phone with him the other day he was just being a great friend and checking in on me and one of his suggestions was so great. Because i was contemplating this right. Like when you're on your own journey that connection to other people that social connection that's of the type that you need. I'll get into that in a second. That can be hard to get and he had a great idea. He's like dude. Make a list write down right down people who you can call and rely on. So let's take this to another level like let's think about what it is you need. Maybe you need the ability to celebrate with someone maybe you also need the ability to strategize with someone. Maybe you also need support. Those are three very different things and sometimes what can happen is when we have needs that are disparate like that and we're feeling lonely or were feeling alone we can. We tend to turn to maybe apparent a best friend a spouse or significant other four all of those things and the fact of the matter is no one person is good at all of those things no one person can be all things to us and that's a great tip just in general in life but in the context of this lonely journey of being an entrepreneur or a leader you may have needs that rely on different strengths that a person would need to have in order to help you with that need so think about it celebration. Who's a person in your life that celebrates and gets more excited than anyone else. Somebody who will immediately cheer you on right. That person's name down. Call them in the situations when you just want to celebrate and tell them that that's why you're calling them like hey. I need somebody to be excited with me because this crazy thing happened. And you the person who popped to mind now. That person's skill or ability of being optimistic and celebratory and energetic may not translate into times when what you need is strategy. You need somebody who can be logical. Who can see the big picture who can anticipate domino's that are gonna fall. That strategic need is likely filled by a different person. Who's that person for you. Think about somebody who has that logical mind. Who has that thoughtful mind. Maybe they have domain knowledge in the area that you're working in. Think about that person or people who you might turn to for strategy support. When you're you know waiting through the muck of the truly difficult things in your job and then a third example and this might not be the only one there may be needs. You have that. Aren't celebratory strategy in support. But for the support side of things again the the skill there not strategic lots of times when we're looking for support. We're not looking for somebody to solve the problem for us. We're looking for somebody to empathize or simply hold space and allow us to process verbally. Somebody who's really empathetic. Think about who that might be. And when you parcells three things apart you know. who's celebratory. Who's your strategy person. Who's your support person. You'll likely notice that there are three very different people and you go to them for different reasons. So i would encourage you to take a page out of my friend errands book. Think about the things that you need. Where do you need to connect. And why do you need to connect with other people. Write those categories. Are those needs down and get a person next to each one of them. I'm literally doing this on. Post it notes on my desk. So that i can see it every single day and i can already tell that. It's really going to help the second thing i mentioned earlier. That sometimes psychologically one issue combined with another issue can kind of compound and make this big. Yuck monster challenges and loneliness are two of those things. It's like gas on the fire. We you'll never be in a situation as a leader or an entrepreneur where you're not gonna face challenges but those challenges can feel so overwhelmingly big when you're lonely and here's the other kicker if you're a leader or you're an entrepreneur. Chances are you are a person of i. I like to say a person of high responsibility. I don't like to say taipei people or whatever like any of those other ways that we talk about it. I'd say you're a person of high responsibility. You've a lot on your plate and a lot that you're juggling and you tend to be able to get things done and what can happen when you're that type of person again. I'm recording the podcast episode. That i need to hear we did that. Type of person you solve challenges and as soon as the challenges over your onto the next thing. You don't pause you don't contemplate how far you've come. You don't celebrate yourself for being able to accomplish something you don't think back over the skills and strengths and good decisions luck. Even that helped you get to the point where you moved past that challenge in times. When you're feeling lonely you're going to need that list of wins you're going to need to be able to go back to a time when you analyzed a challenge that you were able to get over so that you can see no i do have what it takes because when we feel lonely as an entrepreneur as a leader we begin to doubt our own capability. And sometimes you just need evidence that you've done it before you can do it again. It helps build self trust in your own being to be able to see that you've accomplished difficult things. You've done it before you can do it again. All right if you're feeling in the way that i am right now try these couple of things out. I'm so there with you. i understand this so intimately. It can be lonely at the top but we don't have to be passive to our circumstances. Let's take a page out of the life designed book. Let's take an active approach to our situation and remember. I'm right here with you. Thank you so much for joining me for this professional edition of the building psych strength. "That's going to linger into the regular season. I a conservative approach. You see that guy behind his name is brett brown. I spent a lot of time with brett brown. And we own those courts that we call them during practice and wild practices going on. That's an indication that you'll be back fairly soon. And i know the quarterback position. And i know what that has been through but also history tells me not to have concern that prescott says out covered him at mississippi state is one of those guys who is going to play if his body allows him to play now. Obviously we saw the ankle injury. And we know that you have to go and have surgery and do all of that. I'm not concerned y'all and this because look and maybe maybe so. Maybe it's because. I know of daggs makeup. Maybe his because i've seen him deal with these injuries and things all when he was in college. I'm not overly concerned. I'll be concerned if we get the week one and then they're still talking about that needing some risk. That's when i'll be concerned but right now this time out no concern whatsoever because the dax make up more than anything i get it. Your buddy orlowski was on here yesterday. Reminding everybody that the one thing a quarterback never gets the chance to do during the season as rest arm. They throw basically every single day so if they don't get to the point that that mike mccarthy was making if they don't get this cleared up right now it won't get cleared up at any point so it does feel though what is at minimum worth watching might take your perspective. Yeah absolutely. that's why. I love rest of world because we're learning about stuff that the cutthroat war dominate china's grocery delivery industry is there a grocery delivery industry in china. I'm kind of. I don't know why i'm surprised to hear that. Yes so follow me for a second. This is a really crazy model. That like a hundred million people plus china right now. So it's really big and it's really really and it's attracting sort of like grandma's almost like aunties You know people are really price conscious so imagine you have a group chat and all of your neighbors or that group chat and you have sort of like you know maybe a local state home mom or someone you know. Maybe the corner store owner Someone who owns a seven eleven and they are the moderator of that group chat every single day they give you some grazie deals for fresh food and all you do is in that group chat. Say what you and the next day the stay at home. Mom we'll get it all delivered to her place and then she'll bring it to you or you go pick it up at the corner store. So they're called group buying groups so she gets everything and then parcells it out to her neighbors the like uber or d. Which is the over of china is invested in this every ten cent. Jd dot com alibaba. All the biggest tech companies are investing in this all over the place. It's a huge frenzy. Just sort of like get all these people because cheer point. These are people who didn't usually virus online. They were just go to the corner store and get stuff previously but what this is doing is leading all those big tech companies. Cut a ton of costs. They get marketing from the stay at home mom. They get logistics. they don't have to go to each person's home right the stay at home. Mom will take care of that for them. So the money to right she gets she gets about five ten percent commission so she's incentivized to get as many people as possible most of these people. Have you know anywhere from a couple hundred to nine hundred. She's all that are managing. It's huge or that and it can be can be a big source of business for them and it's a crazy trend in china and it's become really really wild actually two employees at one of the companies that his invested in this actually died Recently which sort of set off this huge reckoning about like you know are they pushing employees too hard at these companies you know is this frenzy worth it. The government is mad about it. But i love it because it's like stay at home. Mom selling vegetables by everyone in tech is just all over themselves over it. Well as you out It's a in. The article is highly customized. Because this one person who is managing this group note gets to know everybody their interests their tastes what they want what they don't like so it works. It works really well. I have to say come on. If you're like cute little neighbor texas everyday and it was like sale on. Carrots are totally doing. Yeah fifty cents. Bundled carrots come grabbed them tomorrow with your eggs and your milk or whatever. Of course i would do it. This model could work in the rest of the world. I think that. Like when i think about someone like my mom who's like knocking to navigate. Instacart knows how to use. I message the thing is that it's integrated into chat right and we don't really have each year in the same ways. I think we're sort of far off. But i do think you know this super-charged by the pandemic there are way more people anger. She's online than there used to be. And i think that instacart is ripe for disruption. I think like you know whole foods. Delivery is not doing anything particularly Innovative and i think even amazon and these logistics giants are still really struggling with how to make a profit off of this and these chinese companies sort of figured out a way to do it although to be fair. They're offering really really low prices because he's really price conscious consumers and suppliers or getting mad. Because they're like selling a bottle of cooking oil for like less than the actual cost to make it so there are a lot of sort of reminds me of when it was like two dollars. Take an uber anywhere. Because they were just pouring money on it and get a fifty percent off lift ride. If you just open the super happen the lift up notice that you were doing that. We all remember. That's it feels like that. Yeah so i do worry it. Sort of gimmicky.

Coronacast
What we still don't know about the vaccine announcement (but it's ok to be excited!)
"Hello this is corona cost a daily podcast all about the coronavirus. I'm health reported. Teigen tyler an emphasis journalists dr norman swan. It's wednesday the eleventh of november. And we've had some really exciting coronavirus news in the last couple of days. Norman fiso the drug company has announced that their vaccine that producing maybe ninety percent effective in stopping the virus. Do we all just pack up corona costing go home now to. We don't need it anymore. No because has doesn't operate on press releases scientific papers that have been pure reviewed where we know what's going on you'd have to say pfizer's a bit out on. Its own here at least so far. Anyway they've announced this Interim analysis but it's not been peer reviewed and it's quite hard to work are exactly what's going on both fighters the one who hasn't actually joined the same platform of some of the other vaccine manufacturers. Who are out in trial. And they've got their data safety monitoring board which looked the analysis of this raw. The common one is what the monitoring board is being shared by. Some of the vaccine manufacturers. So it's not entirely transparent. There's also see you have to say also commercial element in this that they want to get a jump on it and the water here is that they're going to push for emergency use authorization before their presumably earlier than the other vaccines but the question is. Is it too early to know absolutely for sure that they're safe so they sort of questions to ask here are well. What does it mean. They've said nine more than ninety percent. Effective well you gotta read between the lines. Because it's not entirely clear from their release but it's been something like ninety four covid nineteen disease cases so this is not infections. Forty thousand people yep in the boats so this is these vaccines are not designed to pretend to fiction as we said many many times on corner cast they're designed to prevent covid nineteen disease which is fair enough because if you've protect against nineteen disease then all the sars cov to becomes is a bad cold. Let's assume that we talking about which is that has been ninety four cases thereabouts. I think that's what the announced and that they're more than ninety percent effective. It's should probably mean that something like eight or so of the cases of covid nineteen occurred in the placebo group and the remainder are six or seven or whatever it is six occurred in the vaccine group. But we didn't have those numbers. Stay away from visa. We don't have those numbers but you can assume then that from from that crudely of that ninety four percent ninety percent or more occurred in the placebo group and ten percent or fewer occurred in the vaccine group. That's what that means. And therefore is a significant gap between the two groups which is protection against covid nineteen disease. That's what i assume an endless things. No major safety issues. The ninety percent number A lot higher than what we've been talking about on corona causton in all of the full out around this announcement. I heard a lot of experts. Say that's amazing. That's a really big number much higher than we expected. So that's good news right. What's what's much higher than the regulators were willing to approve. Everybody was hoping it'd be much higher than fifty percent because fifty percents pretty disappointing and so this is really great news. If it's all right and you get superior review study of the data and goes on long enough to have a proper analysis and it's really good news for the other mini. Vaccines are just just to be clear. What this vaccine is and just a little bit of a revision on the vaccines the so the oxford vaccine and this vaccine and the moderna vaccine three scenes around the are the lead. They do the same thing in the end. Which is they put a genetic message into the cell to tell the cell to produce part of the spike protein of the corona virus and that goes into the bloodstream and the immune response the immune system reacts to that creating immunity. How the vaccine does it is uses a chimpanzee virus to take the genetic message into the sale and what bio and take the pfizer vaccine does and the moderna vaccine is. Is that parcells up amorini. Which is a parcel of genetic messaging and it goes straight into the salad self and tells the cell to produce the part of the spike protein. So this is a name are a vaccine and it's really good news because there's another mirani vaccine on the blocks which is the moderna vaccine which isn't too far behind the problem with these vaccines is that there are very low. Temperatures to transport around minus eighty of madeira. People say there's may not require that depth of temperature this makes it a very impractical vaccine for poor and middle income countries and also does make it a bit impractical even for countries like australia. Where you're going to have to coaching at minus eighty on the coaching standard frigid temperatures and the university of queensland vaccine for example will only require an a standard vaccine fridge province minus eighty. So they are vulnerable it. They do first mover advantage so that they can get out there because they know they're vulnerable to other vaccines. That might come along. Which don't require that cold chain infrastructure.

Behind the scenes at the humanitarian air hub dispatching COVID-19 aid to African nations
"Face mosques a million of them just some of the precious cargo being dispatched to all corners of Africa by the UN as the continent braces for the spread of cove in nineteen managing. This huge task is Amanda Dowdy Senior Director of Operations for the World Food Program will WFP in online interview with you. An uses Daniel Johnson Jordanian national. Mr Dodie takes us behind the scenes at the agency's humanitarian hub in the European capital. Addis Ababa where a U N Wide Supply Chain. Operation is now in full swing. The flights game some came from China on some came from Dubai. It was a combined shipment of Jack Ma Foundation and who own supplies? They arrived in Addis on Tuesday and from there we are moving only consignments to almost fifty countries across Africa so far we have moved up to thirty countries and every day we are completing that consignment right so on the ground then from Addis Ababa. You've reached around thirty countries as you say what's the the final figure Africa now if we African country which ones have called for help. And how is the decision taken about which ones are helped look going to all the African countries in accordance with ovulation in accordance with needs? But the most in need are where the number of cases are flaring up. We have cases in west Africa in Senegal as well as in southern Africa and flights. Today just give me a picture of actually what's happening on the ground in Addis at the humanitarian hub. Everything is working. We allocate the basically parcel or or kit the cargo in accordance to fly throughout that we have so the lanes will depart at this angle to multiple countries. Come back and pick up again. Another would go to multiple vendors. Of course we're using several airplanes in order to reach a maximum. I think today the plan is for thirty countries to receive the locations today and what particular protocols are in place to prevent caveat nineteen transmission. We follow all the procedures in terms of the guidelines of w the national health guidelines. That are in place the social distancing but we also are in a way in even when we transfer Scott Every manager in place including spraying the planes in short that there is no cross contamination even from parcells coming so we follow according to a yet according to Keio we are abiding by these owes to the letter in terms of what happened today when it reaches the country in question. How is the aid distributed? And how you show that. It's getting to where it needs to go. It's the handed over to the Ministry of of the Spectrum Authority of the member states. It's not exactly going to UN agencies or NGOs this is going to member states and the government authorities W in coordination with the local government authorities ensures that all the aid or assistance in terms of medical supplies goes to work. It is neat. Could you say this is an historic sort of arrangement to show solidarity in terms of keeping supply chains going because the secretary general has expressed a lot of concern about global supply chains when code actually hits because yes African countries that have been affected already? But it's really nothing compared with what is going to happen. This was the first flight from Addis. Ababa it was the first test for the international hub as transshipment on to the rest of Africa but also in terms of passenger because as part of our response to call with is a neighboring humanitarian and the health responding to reach the countries. And we are going to be using episode for establishing passenger service again to East Africa would be establishing multiple bessinger services. Because as you know commercial air traffic is moralists suspended so we will be establishing these passenger services to ensure that responders humanitarian workers and all the personnel needed to mitigate a fight. This virus can arrive in countries where they need to and they can also leave where they need to go so we are enabling the humanitarian and responds. To be able to mitigate against this virus. This is Africa. Were talking about. So how is the World Food Program helping places like Yemen? Syria Wall Art of the hub. Will also be providing. It's not only for Africa. It we will be using part of the others as well or Yemen for example but this is not the only in Africa we would have one enact ca one in this above and one in South Africa we have a hop ensue bank in Malaysia for Asia and we have a hump in Dubai for the Middle East. And we have a hub in Panama for Latin American for Central America. So these are all going to be coming online as we speak and they would serve as the respective regions both in terms of cargo as well as in terms of personnel the eventual aim is to help ninety five countries in total all. Actually probably it's GONNA reach almost Henry Than Twenty affected countries so we have the capacity to scale up as needed of course if the funding is provided of course and. How much funding do you need? You're asking what three hundred fifty million dollars. How much do you have so far? We entered sixty was initial request. Now we are revising these figures depending on the data that we are getting supplies. As the sourcing and manufacturing increases we will be increasing our air assets in order to make sure that the supplies getting time to the affected countries enter the countries that needs.

Mark Hutter and Rails
"What is your specific experience with rails? How did you get started in it? Are you currently working with it today? I am working with the today. I started in twenty fourteen. And it's pretty much been the only language framework. I've used since then I started you know out of the consulting world I moved more into product companies and I started working at smaller companies. I liked the I like and liked the small company VIBE. Where you you get to touch a lot of things and they were using ruby on rails got hired actually as a Java developer but they had some side rails products and I was working on those things and It really opened my eyes. Just enlighten me to a lot of things. I had this really great co worker. Who was you know your true? Rubia like your tried and true. We all know this person and they loved teaching in explaining and pairing and so I just sit him every day and he would teach me all the things and the rails wants it strips down if anybody's ever had to do Java Development and like you know do a spring configuration of dependency injection in that. Xml file you understand the benefits of like stripping all that away and getting this convention over configuration approach. Because you're able it makes it makes the simple things. Just go away and so you can focus on the harder things and making them simple. Simple more simple problems. So can you tell us about landing including its origin story and technical sack as an apartment owner at honestly? Sounds like a service. I really want to use? Yeah Yeah me too I. I love working for companies that I also want to buy from Really helps motivate you towards the product but we landing started about a year ago Our founders saw some some rough patches in the process of finding equality apartment getting through all the paperwork and getting moved in and moving all your stuff all just seemed taxing so he was trying to devise a solution that would get away from all that so landing offers a membership base leasing model on these network of beautifully furnished apartments across the United States. And they're all like fully equipped linens towels kitchenware Internet. You name it all. The stuff already comes with the unit and we automate away all of the nasty paperwork you kind of fill out. Fill out a one time form upfront with us. The leasing is one hundred percent online. He get freedom to move anywhere within the network available apartments. So we're really trying to change the way people think about apartment living in leasing where you can kinda get this freedom. Get this flexibility and move between cities and states with your suitcase and just be droppin ready. I think that's so awesome. So what does the current and technical stack life? You know. It's a saying it's like you know. Choose choose boring tech quote Unquote Right Boring code quote unquote. So we're a a ruby on rails monolithic application post graph database There's some re there to react. Apps that are talking to the rails. Ap Is there. Are there some view? Some react on the front end but it's mostly traditional rail rails parcells So it's kind of right up the gut.

Cowboys to move on without Jason Garrett
"Jason Garrett's time up as coach of the Dallas Cowboys Edward a reporting Jerry Stephen Jones have decided coach will not be part of the organization moving forward on Friday and paid Simmons on why this process lasted so long after the season to other Jerry and Stephen Jones have moved slowly out of respect for Jason Garrett you know they have a long history with him as a backup quarterback you to this is that coach a head coach's father was in the organization when Jerry bapa team as a scout and they finally concluded that phase of this process and that's going to end with Jason Garrett not being a part of the organization beyond his expiring contract and when exactly they make that announcement I thought sure what I've been told soon and that the next phase will have them moving into the process of interviewing candidates in the battle begin quickly after phase one is totally finished off yes was contract set to expire January fourteenth status with the team at issue since last February the cowboys didn't give a contract extension they missed the playoffs in twenty nineteen finish eight neighbor the four time in his tenure as coach Keyshawn Johnson on the job candidates and Jerry Jones himself he was on sports and we stand ready to make a decision on it there was the eight their long term in the obvious would clearly felt that their work you say while they waited till Thursday well the food that just won't really it just is so you kind of say okay take a deep breath we get back to the facilities we talk about a little bit we think about we pondered overnight we need or Thursday we meet on Tuesday we meet on Wednesday we have a conversation and we finally so you know women the best thing for us to do if not give the public what they looking for what they looking for me to do is be extremely mad and walk out of there on Sunday night if fire you on the tarmac so instead of doing that this call wait a couple days are you playing for the cowboys you're familiar with Jerry Jones and and and his thinking all what happens next now in this search for the next cowboys head coach I think a guy like Mike Zimmer Minnesota Vikings head coach could potentially be a candidate you say how could that be well I I II coach there in the deepest corner along try defensive coordinator for Jerry Jones is the bill Parcells fact either stay here they know what they're getting in that particular coach but also there's a young officer coordinator in cabin step band he this sitting there in Minnesota the Minnesota Vikings don't want to part ways with him they don't want him all of a sudden start to get interviews and become a category another team so I would be surprised if somehow might dimmer wind up being the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys in the cabinet she takes over as the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings so a lot of story lines this call come about here over the next with date but I think this time around you will get the head coaching job right where the coach may be season one more before we go do you think that at this point Jerry Jones is ready to surrender more control to a head coach now then he has been willing to in the past as bill Parcells left and and I want to turn this on your stamina I am right now status is not a defense Jerry Jones was some what he is and even as well as we clay as well as Jerry junior what is your you Jones gone wrong with that organization other than the head coaching hire that's a very good question that's very good everybody everybody everybody said here you're you're here the one on that team thank you for calling the latter team for the National Football League I would I would argue and say that their top five channels it is four tally dole is a National Football League the problem is that head coach because you're you're not holding the plate yeah well that gives the player is a free pass for having innate need season the talent on the field didn't win enough games he and Garrett will finish as the second longest tenured and second most winningest coach in team history Tom Landry a record of eighty five and sixty seven the wonders to playoff games unable to get past the divisional round Mike wells Myron Medcalf on Freddie Fitzsimmons the Dallas Cowboys there you know they draw attention but the the the days of being America's team and wanted to be part of what is age and it's not the same anymore it is not the same strictly because of what you have to deal with away from just coaching of football team is not simply you know put together a strong staff the coaster brakes of Amari Cooper Ezekiel Elliott and dak Prescott it's also having the answer constant questions from your boss the owner Jerry Jones deck could become a headache when you're you can't simply just focus on the task of putting your team in the proper position the try to have success there's a side show that comes with it and some people are built or not built to be able to deal with that so you got to find the right coach who is not only a great Exynos guy but somebody who's mentally strong enough to handle the constant you know looking over the shoulders and the pestering of your boss meddling in the inside of things wonder why things are not going well or to give us suggestions on what you should be doing that's not something easy that everybody can handle that type of situation well it and not everybody wants it and that's why I think a lot of these cultures your Matt rules related rallies urban Meyer's why except that to me if you're not going to modernize the structure of your organization so that your owner can do what every other owner does and take a backseat and not be this forward facing figure who's hosting its own press conferences after the game sometimes undermining the head coach then then how can you expect to attract a great candidate bomb out rule no one eight I'm leaving Baylor I got a chance to build something there if I'm leak in Raleigh I'm in Oklahoma and every year I get a chance to go to the college football playoff leave in Oklahoma where I can coach for another decade at least about continue to succeed ever murmur Meyer I'm not leaving LA or on the TV analyst making good money watching a lot of football injuries bouncing around the country see a lot of teams to go to Dallas where I've got a deal with Jerry that's why I think it's going to be difficult if Jerry Jones wants to continue to be Jerry Jones I don't think Mike he's going to end up with any of the top candidates identifying potential replacements Bobby carpenter and fox college football reporter Bruce Feldman gas on Freddie impede Simmons Stephen Jones Jerry Jones offered that coaching job urban Meyer she would say I think that's a hard job to say no urban probably wouldn't be needing to be for another year is that all you but who knows enough the big job at the glamorous job and remember the nose you know damn owns his courage and damn ongoing expound acted it all back thank god yeah I was supposed to do the oil itself journal part of mine and to buy that it was offered so you're going to want to meet your need to guide it was a proven track record we've done it before who's been in the playoffs the only guy that I look at the newest hires cycle that's really available is Mike McCarthy and it's free thank god I'm not that I'm not the biggest Mike McCarthy stand the world but he's the only guy that it holds no one Barty and that is the only thing that Jerry Jones once he is getting older is that you know you if you spend more time on this earth that he's going to spend has the last was starving if you get that oracle Marty troche with them of the order would love to put it in there Mike you've done that you chose to leave and you've been in the playoffs he's done a good job that would be my selection I don't know if they don't know what it does do checks all

CBS Sports Radio
Packers' win over Vikings
"Bit about the Packers and Vikings the game last night in a victory for Green Bay as they win the NFC north a six time that our Rogers is quarterback the Green Bay Packers to an NFC north title there twelve win team but they're not getting the respect that they deserve or is it a case of you look at those twelve victories bogus and say I know they're twelve wins but you know are they really that good of a football team you are a ball bill Parcells used to say you are what your record is so the Packers of one twelve of the fifteen games that they play this year they've got one to go I mean that's pretty darn good when you think about it and they've got an opportunity to be the number one seed in the NFC they win and the forty Niners lose our they're gonna be the number one seed so all in all all avenues will go through Lambeau field for the Green Bay Packers yeah which is not where you want to play in January slash you know we're December slash January but I just I don't be it's fits all that both the this game last late leaves us wondering about both of these teams right what what how good actually the Vikings and how good actually are the Packers and I I think the easy thing is to say man the Packers play defense last night and they ran the football if they can do those two things consistently here the next couple weeks they're gonna be a tough out but I I I still in stock on Aaron Rodgers because I went into that game paying close attention to him I'd read it I guess it was last week an article about how there been a developing split between Rogers early and late in games and the Packers are a team that kind of script to be how they're gonna start a game they have the feel they can have their first like ten or fifteen please planned out and once Rogers huddled recently had a left that kind of scripted portion the game plan all of their production had kind of dwindle it'll be like they were they were scoring points early in the struggling late I want to see the pattern continued last night and he never really got it going last night no and the three turnovers early and you want the point we made almost the beginning of the show back in our number one and you know I I I want to believe in them I will especially playing at home in limbo but I I know if if he can't throw it and they can't catch it and they can't score points that way I I can't trust the defense enough against San Francisco or New Orleans we're Seattle your ticket to get them through a game anywhere so they've got to me ask you this is our Jones good enough to carry the team offense I don't think so you don't think so I I think young with what you saw last night a hundred fifty four yards on the ground he's had an unbelievable year the albums have been an issue right but you know catching it and run it out of the backfield Jones has been an absolute start for the Packers could not be less about Rogers could be less about his brilliance of a signal caller and more about running the football winning at the point of attack in a winning time of possession getting after the quarterback they can certainly do that defensively but offense of Lee can be less about Rogers pulling a miracle out of his rear end and could it be more about Aaron Jones basically wrote it down your throat hit list yeah I get it its it's there's two distinct ways to look at it that this is that this is good news that they actually have a complimentary Aaron Rodgers throwing the field for a long time they haven't had a good game and he was able to throw it have success throwing it despite no running game I just I still ng feel that they need that passing attack to be at maybe dynamic is asking too much based on the weapons around with us and who we throw the football to but I still think they just need more than they've gotten over the last month or so that's fair and and listen I I don't I don't necessarily disagree with that especially in this kind of a league especially the fact that neither you or I can really trust that Packers defense even after what we witnessed last night but let me ask the question this way is it a case of not having the weapons around him or is it a case of a regression in the quarterback I don't think if any regression is there I don't think that it's anything more than that and kind of the normal regression you've had you'd have to be at this point of your career I don't I don't think he's falling off more like in any significant way he just wanted me because he is always you throw devante Adams right Jimmy Graham is a what it once was but should be great still good target yeah all right and although it it sound I don't know if it's Jimmy Graham I don't know if its defenses I don't know if it's a Rogers thing but but grant as we get targets anymore no it is not getting the target but it but you would we would both agree that Jimmy Graham can if the boss coming his way Jimmy grams gonna make the reception I like Geronimo Alison I like don't think Rogers does no I I I but that's what that's also a problem to where you do limit yourself offense of Lee if you're targeting one player sixteen times right over the course of the game I mean that's where you could look at the regression maybe not the physical regression but maybe it's the mental regression of Allah Rogers where he is too too much of a lean toward one player and maybe that's where it's hurting the offense where he's not spreading the football around enough to where he's building up the confidence of young players rather because while did our Rogers bogus she was never got it yeah I looked at the library not being totally a product of guys around him I don't I Rogers guy that you know you me and it Palade a chap could be the wide receivers and our Rogers of find a way to get the football you're still less and less of that as he

Aaron Rodgers 'Glad' Packers' Joint Practices with Texans Over
"Go to the n._f._l. Let's start this in green bay. Packers and new head coach matt leflore and aaron rodgers not on the same page early in camp. The coach likes can't likes camp likes working out with other teams. Here's what aaron rodgers said said about doing a joint practice with texans. I wouldn't mind if they didn't do it for another fourteen years and then he said that the offensive work is of great value because schematically. There's not a lot there and he doesn't like the risk of injury. Is this just one of those things or is this a real problem between rogers and the floor. Take it or shake it. Take it real problems. Take take take it though she sleep but i think when you think when you think about what i said the other day about out joint practices. It's a no no. No one wants to do that but coaches then only ones you. There's there's nothing to gain from it. The iran tell you 'cause. Let's coaches are stupid. He just do stuff. They just day or stupid. I told you this the other day and raja's comes out and basically backs up exactly exactly what i'll say it. No one wants to do that. You risk injury. You're getting no real work at all and it is going to be a power struggle for this young head head coach and matlock floor in aaron rodgers. It's going to be a power struggle in math going to have to cave in or else. He's going to get fire yeah. I was just gonna say if you're a brand new head coach jay first time head coach and all of a sudden you gotta go coach your first team as the head guy that's one thing you've got to be the head coach of the green bay packers with a hall of fame quarterback. Who's in the meat prime of his career. That's a totally different thing different. Yeah it's different because ann rogers is also different. He's so cerebral. He's so questions every think think anyway. He's not just gonna go to get him on like other. Q._b.'s wills so you know skiing on the walls though skin on the wall. What do you mean it meaning matlock floor. Oh if you if you were dealing dealing with coach that came in and mike shanahan or bill parcells done something that has some skin on the wall the aaron rodgers with baal down where if there's a guy like sean mcvay say the world gets up into shining face their push mcvay a smart enough to realize that i need him to produce some let him do what he needs to do. If he's doing what he needs to do in his positive then we're gonna be okay and if it's negative it's gonna follow him. I've done everything to make him a better player. I'll keep my job. We'll get rid of him

"President Trump is heading to the UK this week for a state visit and even before arriving. He has stirred controversy. He used the word nasty when referring to Meghan Markle the duchess of Sussex and his way didn't on who he believes should. Succeed outgoing Prime Minister Theresa may who is stepping down in a few days. Joining us now from London is Dominic Waghorn, diplomatic editor at Sky News. Welcome. Thank you very much. So this is obviously a very delicate time in the UK with Brexit stalled and the leadership of the country being decided enter our president. He said that he believes Boris Johnson, the former mayor of London, and a controversial figure should be the next pm, how are his opinions being received? Yeah, I know. So a man who the full on from selection for that. Such stupefying ignorant. He was unfit for office and kitty relations between the two have improved since then some from say Niger for us later. The Brexit cost that stolen success in racing. Eurropean elections kindred spirit and jumps and speaking commission to maintain next week on the sidelines of this visit that study one reason why the government apprehensive about this. But I think certainly people nervous in London as any, I guess, ahead of Donald Trump fidget. Yeah. Is it being viewed as meddling, though? I mean expressing an opinion is not common for the leader of one nation to do. It would be unacceptable for any other president, this is the president, but the people used to living by different rules. I think for most British people looking on that one why he's been invited to very unpopular man. Very unpopular president. But it will be huge processes to where lost time. We'll, we'll have to say Donald Trump blimp, that big inflatable that shows on the baby floating the London in diapers in exactly. But another place haven't quite given the final sites on that yet, but we'll be able to protest that may upset the price. It's controversial, but the government insists on the diplomatic fish Avital Parcells nuts, from the special relationship, which saying says, he's very good for the UK because he's not only going he's getting literally the Royal treatment. Yeah. This is as good as it gets. If your head of state comes to the it is bells and whistles pump and circumstance. It's a banquet Buckingham Palace. Although that seems to be being boycotted by Meghan Markle. The duchess of six also by Tobin the leader of the opposition. I'm Vince capable of sellable Democrats. But I think that's going to take the gloves off too much Donald Trump, as somebody who has made it very clear. This is what he wants and we're expecting him to

Butler does it, leads 76ers past Raptors to force Game 7
"Right. So last night we watched the Sixers and blazers both force game seven and watching the Sixers game last night. I think it's it's clear to everybody. Joel Embiid had a big game plus forty which you never see me come plus forty for game him in Michael Scott. That's what she said. Oh, it had big the big plus minus his last night, but watching this game and actually seeing how this is evolved over the course of the past few weeks, a couple of months is that while Joel Embiid, and Ben Simmons clearly are the more talented players. Jimmy Butler is the MVP this team. I mean, this is what the what he does enable to cover up for the faults of the other guys Ben Simmons not able to jump shot. Joel Embiid taking nights off. He's a playoff guy. He's a playoff guy. That's gonna take bigshots make big plays. And you look at the the end of this first half the sequence where he hits the jumper with nine seconds left thirteen point lead. All right. The raptors come down for the last shot strips Kawai. Goes in for a layup where many players with looked up at the clock and said, oh, I got it. Stop and take a jumper with one point five seconds left. Instead of going to go to the Cup in with less than a second left. They're up by fifteen. The place is going crazy teammates jumping on top. He's got his hands up. Come on. He's that special kind of guy that can grab a team and say, okay, this moment is not too big. For me. We need a basket. I'll be able to do it not somebody that can be around team more than two or three years because we've seen a brace of as he is. But he's kind of like the the Bill Parcells of players, right? Can be around for a couple of years. And then I have to go someplace else, but he is like he is everything this team

Ex-Steelers OC Bruce Arians says Antonio Brown isn't same player Pittsburgh drafted
"Of Antonio Brown. And he was the offense coordinator at one point in time before leaving Pittsburgh. And then joining the staff of Chuck Pagano in Indianapolis, and then becoming the colts interim coach as he battled cancer Picado dead and successfully thanked out and it became the Arizona Cardinals head coach. And now as the town. Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach. And that is Bruce Arians who said that he would not be interested in in Antonio Brown that he's too much of a diva. Antonio Brown is is not the same player. That the Pittsburgh Steelers drafted not physically we're talking about. Now. We're talking about everything else that comes along with Antonio Brown. Besides his ability to help you out and special teams and catch the football as an NFL wide receiver. Yeah. You know, Arians, basically said he's heard a lot of stories about as recent how he is speaking of Antonio Brown. And he said he plays as hot as anybody on Sunday. He practice really hard to. But you know, he's he's basically said as a paraphrasing. He's got him. He totally Brown's gotta make better decisions off the field as far as his punctuality and stuff like being being on time and whatnot. That's we said, so it's pretty interesting new head coach, you know, you've been in the broadcast booth for a year your new head coach of the box. This guy's a Steeler kinda. And I honestly coached them. It's you know, it's interesting to hear him say that about him. So it doesn't sound like Brown be going to Tampa Bay anytime soon. No. It doesn't sound like that. And that's the concern. I mean, you know, you can listen to every former NFL player, whether it be Jerry Rice and others say that he wants to be a San Francisco forty nine or that's great. I may it's great. And I do we both are in agreement TASR that Antonio Brown's gonna get traded this off season by the Pittsburgh Steelers. OB fascinating the team that he does go to am. I telling you that he's a losing player. Antonio Brown can help you in football games. But I will say that there's a lot of headaches now Brown and distractions. Yeah. Great point that Antonio Brown brings to the table that I don't know if there's a lot of NFL head coaches that are going to go out and look to embrace it. I really do. And that's the issue. I have with Brown is I don't want to deal with the nonsense. I really don't as Aaron said, you know, there's the little things that he doesn't do shop to shop to practice on time show up to meetings on time. You know, you're asked to run a hot return a walk-through run the run the hot read. What are you? What are you doing here? I mean, come on. Exactly nervous. I understand what you thought. I was going. I remember where it was funny. I mean, honestly, I it's not that difficult to it's not that difficult for Antonio Brown to handle his responsibilities. Yeah. I completely agree. I've never heard that before I was refunded. Agree with you to moves by. Yeah. Yeah. It was great. Yeah. Man. You know, I think you're going to get some coaches that are that will some teams that will wanna take that chance because how talented these days. We've all in all careers separately. You and I coming up in in all world separately. Right. I'll separate worlds. I'm sure you've come across the state me. All you've heard of guys that you may be going to do business. What guys or girls that you're going to do business? What that you've heard a lot of negativity about. And what's the first thing you said yourself? Well, I okay. This person's talented. I'm going to judge them for once. I get to know them. You give them that. You know what? I mean. I, you know, my wife always taught my son that you might hear things about someone judge them. I from how you judge them. Okay. Take defamation here. But a lot of times it could be hearsay on the advice. It is with this guy here. It's been a like him himself. He's combustible. He's tweeting stuff. Meaning it's Brown. He's been doing a lot of stuff. He's creating he's adding a ton of gasoline to these little fires that war with the Steelers in Hammond Tomlin. So if you're another coach, my point is that I do think some of the coaches or a coach will say, okay. This guy's really talented. He's a superstar. He's going to put as we going to put people to seats in the building. Okay. And and these stadiums role big he's a draw. He's going to draw people. He's a star. I so we've heard all this bad stuff about them. Just like Erin said, I've heard the stories a younger coach hypothetically might say. Well, I wanna to take that chance. I've heard the stories too. But I'm going to judge Antonio foot for what what I see we're going to take a chance on him. And that's what then you gotta hope for the best because he's gonna end up somewhere. Most you know, he's just too damn. And that's a fair way to fair way to look at it by also think that if you're having issues with a player friendly coach, Mike Tomlin, see, I I think there are guys that can't work and play for Bill Belichick. I think there are guys that can't work and play for other disciplinarians like a go back a couple years go back years ago. Bill Parcells right there. There are guys it just it just doesn't work. Now, if you can't play for a guy like Mike Tomlin, who's bent over backwards to placate you over the course of your career as you've changed with the success as your personality is changed with the money. All of that is well deserved because it's earned. I'm not talking about his personality all the money that comes his way. Tasr? I also have to look at that. Same of you have issues with Mike Tomlin, what the hell are you gonna do here? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, Mike cobblers a really is he's apprentice coach player friendly code. But there will he will be playing in the National Football League next year, you'll be making seventeen eighteen million dollars a year. God bless, but there's there's a lot. There are other guys as Bruce Arians said, I think there are a number coaches to say, I don't want daddy. Deal with that. I don't want that toxic person in your locker room. That's what you don't want. You know, you don't want that. Like, I'm a bills fan as you guys know, and I I love all young quarterback. And if we gotta Antonio Brown. I think that'd be amazing. Be awesome. But I would worry that he would like inadvertently mess. What the Josh out? I would worry about that. And I think that's a fair fair concern. But I think that a lot is coaches will judge him. For what they think and and meet with him Suez heads out, and let's just I just play a little bit on Antonio Brown side. He's been with the same organization right out of college. Right. So seven eight years, whatever it is sometimes difficult to paint. Sometimes you you'll be in better behavior. When rental the people a change of change of environment sometimes could help, and maybe that's what he needs, and maybe things will change. And may maybe

All 12 playoff coaches are tied to Bill Walsh or Parcells
"The head coaches in the playoffs that season come from the coaching. Trees of other Bill Walsh for Bill Parcells Abella check. Anthony Lynn, Sean Payton. All coached under Parcells Jason Garrett and Bill O'Brien are further down the Parcells coaching tape. But they all come from the Bill Parcells coaching tree. And that means the other seven come from the Bill Walsh coaching tree. Andy Reid coached under Mike Holmgren was Walsh disciple. Four others come directly from Andy. That's John Harbaugh. Matt Nagy Doug Peterson and Frank Reich. So as we prepare to watch these games this weekend and throughout these playoffs. There is still the influence of those two legendary preeminent coaches of the eighties. If you will in Walsh and parcels what what thoughts Trump to your mind? When you see that? Look, I know that Bill walls is someone who is highly highly respected by guys like parcels end by guys like Bill Belichick. He's at the very very top of this whole thing. And they as far as situational football's concern, and as far as really just being able to build an entire football federation. He's set the standard everyone else is trying to follow now. And now is it is pretty cool though to watch kinda how bills people have done how Andy Reed's people were doing. I mean, it's it's really neat. Because really there's only so many things you can do in full. There's only so many formations you can come up with and so many defenses you can run then it just comes down to good play styles. Make fights right and Walsh that the west coast against the smashmouth run the ball in play defense style of ourselves. And if you look at it that still holds true today. Most of the Andy Reid disciples over there. Bill walsh. They're going to get the ball out. Quick. Quick eater intermediate passing game highly rhythmic west coast offense. Then you look at the Bill Parcells disciple disciples, we're going to run the football player action shots down the field and had this big physical defenses that try to beat you up and want to make this game playing the phone booth. You've heard me say this on this show that if the guys that are really good the great coaches right now, and the guys that are going to continue to be one of those eight teams looking for aid coach on finding the guy. That's the more Steelers. Parting ways with linebackers coach Joey porter lions jam. Bob quinn. Standing by quarterback Matthew Stafford despite a disappointing has campaign, Patrick Mahomes. Three other chiefs have made the AP all pro team. Joined by teammates, Travis Kelsey tyreek hill and Mitchell Schwartz. Bill Belichick won't put Khalil Mack in Lawrence Taylor's class
"That's happening in forum is because they traded Khalil Mack in. Why are we talking about Khalil Mack? Well, we're not trying to rub it into raiders fans. I wanted to talk about Bill Belichick and what he said about Khalil Mack today. Of course, the bears are playing the patriots on Sunday and Bill Belichick. Ironically, enough won't put cluele MAC in the same classes Lawrence Taylor. Well, of course, not Lawrence Taylor is one of the three greatest defensive players in NFL history. He might be the greatest defensive player in NFL history. Khalil Mack has a long, and I mean, a long way to go before he can even be remotely compared to Lawrence sale. You know, Lawrence Taylor has also Super Bowl rings rings, plural. So for Khalil Mack. Sure. Is he a terrific player right now in the NFL? Absolutely. Is he one of the top three or four players on defense in the league right now. Absolutely. Should he be murmured in the same sentences Lawrence Taylor? Oh, hell, no. And of course, Bill Belichick was the D coordinator for all those teams in New York with the giants. So of course, he has a special affinity for for Lawrence Taylor. He helped get the guy's career off the ground. And you know, part of what may Bill Belichick and attractive head coaching commodity keep in mind, you know, he was under that Bill Parcells coaching tree is players loved a man and Bill Belichick wasn't always this sullen hood wearing callous unfeeling strategists. Meaning it was always a little. I'd say blunt he wasn't always Mr. Congeniality, but he definitely used to show a softer side, a little more, and you know, as you get a little older, and you care less. What people think that tends to happen when you're a head coach, it's a little different. You got to kind of keep your cards close to the vest. Bill Belichick has embodied that. And that's why in an era where today's NFL and really in professional sports. You have to be the players coach, the friend. I this stern disciplinarians don't really make the great anymore. But that's why Bill belch exponential to last because he wins, and he still has the respect of his locker room. All right, San Jose Sharks. Have been struggling
