Episode 53 Part 1 Our Relationship with Planned Parenthood Ft Amanda Weber - burst 02

"Like two. You kind of have the two extreme perspectives. And so for you to be able to come together and be able to say like, okay, so this is what this is what I found through my journey and experience with this object matter. I think that's really really wonderful. Yeah, the interesting thing is, is I could absolutely argue both points. You know, I know the talking points of both sides so well. I was actually I would go speak at the capitol in Sacramento California on behalf of Planned Parenthood and speak to the news outlets and speak to the representatives and stuff there. And then later, I ended up being a kind of social media coordinator for Abby. So I was responding to people on her social media platforms and stuff. And helping her with her outreach, not because I was pro life or not because I was opposed to abortion. But I could very much respond as she would, because I knew exactly what the talking points and the important points were. And. Her stances and her things have very much changed over time. But at the time when I volunteered at Planned Parenthood, I am not gonna lie. I hated the pro life movement. I mean, vehemently hated the pro life movement, partially because Planned Parenthood kind of set that in my mind that these were the bad guys. These were the people trying to take our rights away, and they were trying to ruin my life and all this. So I had this very strong narrative in my mind of what these people were, but also because I had a personal experience. And this is something I haven't talked about publicly, but I had this personal experience where I found myself in an unplanned pregnancy shortly after my mom passed away. And I panicked and I didn't know what to do and I didn't want to have an abortion and I reached out to the pro life movement to the people that had been protesting at my clinic for all this time and saying, we love you and we care about you and will help you no matter what. And I reached out, and I said, look, this is a situation I'm in. And here I am, you know, playing Paradise court putting her tail between her legs, saying I need your help. And it seemed on the surface. It's okay, we're going to take you to the crisis pregnancy centers and we're going to help you, but it was really, we're going to give you diapers and formula and you can figure out the hell out on your own. And that was very disheartening because here I am a person that just lost her mom. I'm on my own. I have no money. I have nothing to speak up. I'm literally scraping by month month and they're going, well, we'll give you some diapers and formula. And I just had the worst taste in my mouth about the entire movement because I thought that that's what they were, you know, or these people that were love you and we're going to take you under our wing. Oh, no, you're too much trouble. You're too needy. You have too many needs. And Abby was the first person that I came across that wasn't like that that she very much when I end up getting pregnant with my son said, what

Thomas Jacobs Discusses His Experience on 'The Bachelorette' and 'Paradise'

"Well let's get right into it so thomas right now. We're watching paradise i al. How was your experience on paradise first experience on the bachelor magnate. You can't even compare that. Two and i know a lot of people just watching that first episode. They're like wow. It seems pretty similar. As far as what i was walking into however just the energy just the overall atmosphere and just people's outlook towards really being there to find love and really being able to grow as themselves and as a collective community that wasn't energy that i wouldn't trade the world on which one. Which were you discussing. Paradise prepared is and with. That said i mean you can't have one. Without the other is a reciprocating forest with everything that i went through on the bachelorette and everything that happened. In mexico in those relations relationships i had with the guys and also being able to dive deeper and the relationship with myself all that lead into paradise and all that lead into a place where i am so thankful and so grateful to be able to have been a part of it all and thomas like what are you tribute because i mean. We recently saw you walk onto the beach. All these guys are talking trash just like they were on the bachelorette season like what in your own words. What you tribute that to are the justices are they. Are they just haters. what they're haters. I mean if you're going to have people like login. Valvano worked up to some sort of emotion. Something had to trigger that. It did something just law physics optics knocking on emotional about force leading into it. I feel like although i do have responsibility. And get those wheels ternan with anything that gains momentum it can take a life of its own and i think what. Everyone's historically is the situation that i'm all did. Normally they wouldn't really be biggest situation. It's but with some different emotions that her different underlying factors. It definitely escalated.

Democrats' Budget Resolution Will Federalize States' Voter ID Laws

"By the way in this bill. As Congresswoman Debbie Lesko says she's great. Gives the Biden Department of Justice Authority to designate a voter ID law as a voting rights violation as evidence of voting discrimination. It federalize is and nationalizes. The election procedures and there would never have been a constitution. If that had ever been proposed and placed in the original constitution. How do I know? Because I've read many of the documents. Related to the various constitutional conventions. This was a big issue. Member. These states were creating this federal government. This national government. And they wanted to keep certain powers, particularly voting in other powers in the states as much as possible. And that's what they did. And so the Democrat Party hating the Constitution hating capitalism. Hating their own country wanting to reconfigure it, So they control everything and build a paradise right here in America. "We have to have a chat. It's so real. it's so crazy. Is he the the host for next week. I can't confirm that. I don't know you can't confirm that Well it might be of tonight's episode. We might get a new home for tonight's episode because we're recording this monday guys You know there's two episodes this week but anyway back to atlanta. He says he thought he goes. I thought like they've been on the franchise before it's like they come in here like actors like okay. I know what you guys need. Let's do this like you know. Speaking as if the cast is talking to the producer's like that and then he said that soon into like entering paradise he saw how committed everyone was to the shows real premise. Because they come in guns a plays in. I mean it is just so real. I did not realize that you could start calling for somebody so quickly when you're in a setting like that. He says getting there was pretty incredible. I was a kid into candy store. Walking around i was like oh my gosh. That's a wells atoms bar. Oh my gosh. This is worth that happened. And he goes and i was just like a super deep fan that first few hours and he goes. I love grocery store joe. He was so sweet. Hair reminds me of me. So many of my reminds me of so many of my exes that i got exile city goes. I just feel for people like that. Just can't get out of their own heads but he thinks he's super sweet and really deserves love. He lands is the best. I love it. Lands is gonna bring that like fan boy energy to hosting just. Because like i said last week. It's almost like david spade was apathetic about it. All and to be frank. I think he he seems more. Apathetic this leak. The who's seconds. So we saw of him. Yeah he kind of made that comey's i it's good to see you guys get senior since since you showed up. And then as he walked. K where i get paid. I think that was part of david's. Stick the comedy of it all but it will be refreshing to have somebody there that's like super involved and wanting to be around finding joy in the in the in the couples. I think david was is definitely there for comedic relief And at worked right you wouldn't want it for like the whole season because then it just feels like the host doesn't care in which makes fan in viewership over time. Probably feel like. I don't need to care about this either. It's it's fun to hear lands talk this way. I think is going to be really awesome for the show so pumped to see that well funny headline that. We pulled out just to mention because we said we you and talk about anymore last week and really don't but it it was funny. So but how does she not know. How does she not now or does she know. I mean i knew i mean. She's a she's got she's the podcast question. Probably knows i have. No idea probably broke up. Yeah i mean there might be a a moment here where even after like the joe thing remember. That was a big deal joe. Bayly we're talking about was texting before texting and we. It was like the biggest controversy in paradise. Ever feel like we're desensitizing ourselves to now like like maybe next year all these people would be dating beforehand and look on the paradise and we'll just see all these tears because then like people that they thought where they had been dating and they both like text each other like. Hey we'll both get a paradise in. This'll be a great romantic story boulevard. Then they show up and like their hearts broken because the person's with somebody else like that could be what happens. But you know we you know. We feel bad for joe bayly because he he took the wrath of something years ago. But that's been passed but you guys you didn't you do know that. Brendan saying demi that. Like he's keeping his options open and he said it so up front like early on a date you know. He's thinking while. I know pipers coming down the stairs next week so make sure that. I don't really commit to anyone and like this. Is a whole other brendan because we always think like. Oh sweet. Brendan right no. This guy has a plan scheme and he's game. He's he's gaming this thing. So i said i've seen more gaming right now than Than past seasons. That's how i feel. Well what are the big. Headlines happened this episode. We have the kinda the erin love triangle. That was wild. We thought like he was going to go with. Tammy for sure that kind of change our mind. When he gets a rap song by serena then he's back with tammy team we definitely makes a statement their like. She makes sure that like her mark is shown because right in front of everybody she straddles him. And they're making now she ends up getting the rose. Let's talk about the exits for a second anybody's shocking to you to surprising that went home or any couples that you didn't see him in the couples. We pretty much could have predicted outside of james at the very in but did anybody go home. That you're shocked by. I wanted kelsey. This stick around longer me too. I did. I thought that she's she looks like she's had a lot of growth or she shared. It was her package At the beginning the paradise that she she feels that she's had a lot of growth since us on the bachelor and I just wanted to see her. Get to kind of explore that in that space that paradise was one was a really unique experience for me in in the extent. Some of my growth at that point in my life and i was hoping that for kelsey so i was loved to see her. Go but you know for guys not there guys note there. I was also bummed. A see kelsey go. I thought that She did seem like she grew she. I always found her very likable. I've thought it would make more sense for james to have kept her than demi. But you know demi is like really good t-.

"The dixie fire drifts into paradise california. The dixie ignited in nearly the same place as the two thousand eighteen campfire which killed eighty five people and destroyed almost nineteen thousand buildings here seeing and smelling the smoke is a constant if ominous reminder quite literally. It's it's hanging over your head. We had some days at the sun was blacked out as dark as night. Dan f steph paradise parks and rec director. Turns right off a highway lined on both sides by stumps from logged charred pine trees a narrow steep winding dirt. Road leads us to the rim of the canyon where the flames entered paradise. Nearly three years ago this is not something to fire engine when would even entertain going down. Fire trucks can't get into protect homes and places like this because it's too dangerous. We have twenty one acres down here most. This neighborhood was leveled. it's unrecognizable we standing on. Somebody's old home. I think we are. We are the homes that burned probably wouldn't have gotten building permits today but this neighborhood is no anomaly. In the libertarian rural west. There's a legacy of loose zoning and some people have to live in places like this because it's cheaper and you could see this. This area got decimated yet steph. Sees opportunity here that have been so many instances these fires people know that we have to do something different. The town has bought up land from campfire survivors. Who either couldn't or didn't want to rebuild. The idea is to connected to their existing park land. that's good for recreation. But also as a fuel break they can strictly manage this forest with the hopes that the next wildfire slows down here and gives firefighters a chance. Every single one of these properties were looking at from the standpoint. What can we do to limit. The spread of fire is a staging area. And all of that. And i think it's gonna make the community

And jeff continues to say that he threatens me instill hasn't stopped to this day. He claims that he has belongings in there and that is why he enters. But he's not on the lease at. I think in in place right now and Over time we'll see if it goes in and becomes personally granted. Well teixeira adams was on this podcast. spoke very openly when she came on about her relationship with zack and kind of how. They're processing through this season of life rotation super-busy in running his facilities. Well the headline reads this tastes. Atoms responds after fan questions. Then her cryptic never settle post about zach clark alright. So basically put out a tweet. On friday where she said never settle dot dot dot and then a fan said this better not be about zack. And then asia responded saying chill corley. And i think that was the girl's name chill corley. I don't think it is about zach. She was really on our podcast. "We don't even have an off week on this podcast we go right from the bachelorette into bachelor in paradise and it's where my co host shines paradise time. Oh my gosh ben. Watching this had me feeling ptsd. No we shouldn't use that out of like true contacts but like wells. Used it though. So i mean. I was pretty traumatized to be honest. It's actually pretty close. I was feeling joe so much. And there's just like this sense that i get every season that comes are out. Let's just like. I am so grateful that i married. I married jared. I don't have to be there suffering bocquet. So this is how we're gonna kick it off and i think it's super interesting you. I feel like you go back and forth on this. Because i tell people in my time within the you really love paradise but yet there's moments where you're like. I hated this experience. This felt like you just said suffering. So what is it actually. Did you like it or do. Not all ben. I did not have a great. And then did i have a good time there. Did i get a lot out of it. Yeah eilly grew so much of the experience. I got so much more mature relationship experience just like communication like i got so much out of it but very few moments were enjoyable. But it's a it's like this It's kind of like this. Jonas brothers quote that loved to throw out there all the time. The line of the lyric. The song is the days that seem the worst. The days were the worst seem to glow now. And it's kind of like that where it's like when i think back on it. I only think. I usually i think of the good moments and like even the. There's like a there's like even a glow to the suffering right because everything turned out. Good yeah i get that. But i enjoyed my bachelor experienced so much more like that was just pure fun. Okay okay so you enjoyed the bachelor. The bachelor experience was more fun paradise. I wonder ashleigh if your situations at tad unique because it sure is well. I'll say it. Why because your husband was on that beach with you which adds like i would have to imagine it. Intensifies the situation..

"Supremacist movement has yet another thing in common. And that's that they're all utopian they all are absolutely convinced that every ill and evil the world has ever known has been caused by the other and once the other has been permanently silenced permanently vanquished permanently erased from memory than all that will be left of those possessed the supreme trait and so in the marxist supremacist movement where the supreme trade proletarian ism all heels was. The world were caused by bourgeoisie once. The bourgeoisie were put into gulags or or or permanently confined to mental institutions. They promised a worker's paradise wanna say it wa- there's a great irony here is that during the trump. here's the the trump supporters were all demonized as being guilty of what you're describing the irony. Is that the very people who are guilty of this. Today were the ones who created this narrative that trump supporters are white supremacists trump supporters hate brown and black people. That's why we don't want people coming over our borders illegally. They built up this narrative and they talked about it as kind of an unbridled ideological hatred of the other. But what you're telling us of course. Is that precisely the opposite is true. It is the wo- culture that is demonizing. We are part of that under. Indeed we are. We are the other anybody who engages in discriminating thought. Now get to that in a moment but look it's not unusual in fact it's a well-known tactics. I believe it was garrels. You know who who said accused the other of that which you yourself are guilty of so. It's really not surprising that they would accuse of course. Echoes of a Fairy Tale in a Devastating Novel

"Omar el cod joins us now from just outside portland oregon. His latest novel is called. What strange paradise omar. Thanks for being here. Thank you so much for having me. So you are in portland now. I believe that the united states is your fourth country of residence. Stop me if i'm missing something but you were born in. Egypt lifted in cutter and canada and now in the united states. I've been a guest on someone else's land since i was five years old. How has that influenced you as a writer. I mean it seems pretty clearly evident in both this novel. What strange paradise and in your debut novel american war but maybe you can talk a little bit more about that. Only it shows up in almost everything. I write in a number of ways. One of them is that a lot of my characters. have to deal with the sense of being unanswered. Both in american warrant what strange paradise. That's kind of one of the defining character. Traits is the sense of not being able to look at a particular part of the world or even a particular set of stories and be able to say this is mine. So that's certainly a theme that runs through a lot of what i write but also it puts me in a position where a just by temperament don't really care all that much about the nation state is an entity. I don't care too much about borders hard lines between places which was obvious from the first novel where i have a map of beginning of the book the tears these things apart so certainly plays into almost everything i write.

I want to eat more often and that easy access to on the island. What would some of your most popular dishes though. Jimmy mummies focuses mainly on meal pratt. So it's easier to happier meal in the fridge. She paul new girl and one of our favorite meals is our chickpea. Cranberry rob so think. Tuna salad rapper. Chicken salad rap. But it's made with chickpea hands down that and our lasagna's rehab apoligise is on the menu and i rotate the menu and those lasagna's chick derives those are definitely favorites. I hit your lasagna. And i thought it was fantastic. So i'm not surprised. That is one of your most popular dishes. I think what you offer is me. Prep and home to the rate is that right yes yvonne. So that's precisely that is meal preparation so we can do salads. We do soups. We do whole casserole types of meals and what is basically a. You may just want lunch covered. You may have a really busy week schedule. And you just need lunch covered. And you're going to go. And enjoy our local zine by dining out or you bought and both covered with work and you need a little help in that area and that is what we offer. Maybe you comes out. Be clichy joe every week with some. A brits like the rob or those anya in some meals are freezer. Friendly and some meals are like more fresh. You know me lots of salads some ross and for anybody interested in mentoring more platte basin meals into their diet. A question some people might have and certainly one that i've had is. What is the difference between plant based and beacon menus egan implant based or very similar begin diet or lifestyle is more focused on in safety health and wellbeing of the animal. So it's more ethical. Where plant maize is more around health. You know health being the focus of it so plant based on a plant. This avoid neat vegans or vegan diet. They cut out all animal products altogether. So that's me the main difference that makes me avoid it and begins vigil at all. Any sort of animal products or byproducts. So the other question. I have for you. As you mentioned. There had been a gap on the island. And that's what you were trying to fill like. What has the difference being in relation to vegan or plant based food and the island over the last number of years has it changed and if so by yes so definitely i would say in the last two years plant base. Lifestyle has really taken an interest to a lot of barbadian public. Whether it'd be for health reasons. I have people coming to me saying the doctor says you know they cannot eat meat anymore and the people wanna know. How can they start living plant based lifestyle. So it's a lot of health reasons that people are coming to me are just like general interest. People want to feel better. People wanna live longer and the kind of relate the two together you know so yeah people just want to live longer. Healthier lives and that kind of sparks and by also offer is plant based coaching. So it's actually more sustainable way to make this a part of your lifestyle you know instead of just getting meals for me. You're actually learning how to do it. Like how i demonstrated through my cooking. Demos and through my plant maize. Coaching people can really add to their lifestyle by. Yeah there's definitely been a real increase in the last two years and there are a lot of base chefs on the island a lot. I think nearly everybody does platt based even if they don't offer as or vegan they definitely included in their menu. A couple of years ago does you couldn't go in a restaurant and find a vegan menu but the demand is there and nearly every restaurant on the alien. You have a plant based begin menu. So we're getting there slowly but surely what. We're definitely getting there. So anne marie. If you were going to head out for dinner where would you go in the island that would give you good high-quality beacon or plant based food and. I am aware your husband is a meat eater. So is there anywhere that the both of you can go together. And be satisfied with your. Hey yes now. I currently do not eat meat. And i still from all animal products at the moment. I'm just honestly more focus on based on health. And i personally feel my best when i follow a plant. Babies begin lifestyle. And i don't take any animal products. I feel my best. And i love feeling this way. That's a personal choice. My husband runs joe kitchen and yes. He has a vegan menu and he has a regular menu suited for carnivores. And everyone else. That's where i would go because you have the best. Both worlds. he loves me. He's meter. i am not so the menus designed. I think for a any couples or people like us. You know you have for interest you have different tastes. And he has a menu that suits everyone. So that's definitely a the number one place. I would go breaking joy both types of my news. Thanks so much for your time. Anne marie imbaba i- also asked on the local welcome stumped facebook page for other suggestions for begin. Our plant based foods and here are some of the recommendations for specific restaurants. Are those restaurants that have dedicated beacon based menus. There seems to be a good selection cocktail kitchen. Which is located in orange gap is actually run by amorous husband. He is the caribbean chef. Of the year damian leach they have a vegan menu and highlights include roast bradford featured hooky bowl and they also do beyond burgers and sausages. Lion's share cafe at warrants was described as a hidden gem in the green line. Eco cafe and just bar located at the norman center in tyne offer daily changing menus. So you could eat there every day of the week and have something different for just the recommendations where organic earth barbados and roll juice bar at key site. And if you're after a bit of our and our sin gita wellness spa offer day passes which include a plant based lunch. Then may have i kelly. I'm not too sure that property but this is a place on the way to tree houses park in saint joan. This is beacon superfit drinks and smoothies with all the ingredients forage locally from the owners very own large garden where you can buy herbs plants and trees. The reps were highly recommended partly. It's off the beaten track just by the roadside. And it's not that well known so what you need to do is look out for a sign saying the oasis and lots of plants with the giant cactus at the gate. It's on left. If you head east. Several people have also suggested rastafarian. It'll food you have the likes of focus. It'll shop but also look arrested very insulin ital- fruit from the kitchen. There are plenty ryan. You have to ask where and usually go on a bit of an adventure find them and finally for those with this week. Twothe try it a gap as beacon ice cream. The gabby chocolate factory is based in bridgeton. But i know there's lots of places around the island the stock their products. Also there is coconut baby. Accustomed bake shop specializing in delicious cakes. Desserts drinks snacks and food. That all happen to be begin. You have to order online for that one. So check out their website. So.

Over the centuries so in sixteen sixty it was destroyed by a fire and acted in stone again than it had to be rebuilt after not one not two but three hurricanes in sixteen seventy five seventeen eighty and eighteen thirty one so hurricanes are quite unusual in barbados. So that was particularly bad luck. It was last built in eighteen thirty six and it is still stunned since then we weren't able to get inside but apparently it's very beautiful. It's good curved. Staircases and a number of notable people are buried here on the grounds including a former prime minister. The grave of thomas. Shoes is very unusual. "Parties church. You not right yeah right. So this seems treasuring fitting in two thousand and sergei some seaweed began washing up on the shores barbados this seaweed also washes up in the shores of some popular mexican tourist destinations like kankan sarcasm. Seaweed is stringy brian seaweed that spans. Its life floatin science. Pretty good to me. It's not harmful to humans and in small amounts can actually help nourish beaches high ever does block the beaches when it comes. Invest a mind and sarcasm seaweed can really stink when it decomposes removal is time consuming expensive and can damage the beach if not done in a proper way that also tangles up. Fisherman's motors engines nets and lines so not ideal for fishermen. I've been told that the crane resort has pioneered an environmentally sustainable. Could Beach Drive in Washington DC's Rock Creek Park stay closed to cars after the pandemic?

"Copper Beech Drive in Rock Creek Park has been closed to cars for most of the pandemic, creating a paradise for bikers, walkers and runners. Could that be permanent at an online Q and a session hosted by D. C. Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton, Rock Creek Park Superintendent Julia Washburn was asked about keeping up her beach drive closed to cars. We do plan when the city returns to Is four, which is normal operations for the city. The plan currently is to reopen. However, Washburn says there's been a lot of discussion among D C leaders about this and her agency is willing to listen. If it is permanently closed, there would have to be some plan for the more than 5000 cars a day that used the roadway prior to the pandemic. Kyle

"This is the title of a book by Roger Deportable Paradise. He's a trinidadian poet who lives between trend and London, and so his book and pays attention to 'em Trinidad which is always with him, but as well as being black British though book is a phenomenally contemporary one. Honoring the struggle to survive in the face of institutional racism and classism in Britain on it's a book that honors family with tenderness and book about art and the importance and value of art, and there is reference to place place a great nurture as well as then place as a place of threat and I loved that this final poem, the title point seems to gather all of those themes together. The book is along reflection on Paradise and the word is such. An interesting word paradise comes into Latin and Greek and English through early Iranian language Avas Stan, which is the language of the Scriptures of Zoroastrianism, and it means an enclosed garden, and so I suppose often in English you think of Paradise Speaking of the Garden of Paradise Aiden and John Milton's epic poem called Paradise, Lost About Adam, and eve losing or being expelled from Eden Or. People might think about Paradise Heaven as well. Put Roger Robinson's paradise one that's firmly located in the here, and now it's located in the shell in your pocket or in the Piney sent in your handkerchief or the anthem you in your ears it's not about hereafter it's about here and I think that is part of the political protest over because in here that the speaker of the poem lives in there are people who want to steal your paradise. They can't steelers the grandmother is hoping, but they want to, and clearly in this poem, there are wounds and sustained wounds and injuries and deaths that can come from your paradise being stolen. I see the word concealed there I think of headlines where in London, there might be references to young people of color carrying a concealed weapon and I think he is deliberately taking this idea of concealed and talking about what do you conceal because other people will deny it and threatening other powers well, and people who say that they're the law keepers and threaten you with being perceived as the law breaker and I think ultimately he's saying that your paradise is equality of life.

"Dot com slash famous. Check them out today so we've obviously talked to of the lovely couples. We have one more that we were not able to get on the line today. They're busy running around like crazy. It's Christian in Demi. They're engaged engaged as well Ashley. What do you what was that moment for Bachelor nation in Bachelor history not only last night but just watching weeks and weeks leading up to this moment. Do you think this changes the the whole thing like or what is due for Bachelor nation. I think that the producers there's going to have to figure out a way in order to allow situations like this to flourish again because the way that the structure of the the show is now is you know it's twenty five girls with a guy and then in order for them to create more same sex couples and they're going to have to figure out the structure or they're casting differently. I think it's a lot in the casting. I think you may be having to cast ask more queer or bisexual people on the show as part of the main cast on the bachelor the Bachelorette. How do you think that they could go about it but you know I don't no no. I think it's a really unique scenario so every little area or are they going to be able to WanNa do it again. Dan Well Love is love yeah. Love is love is love and love is love so here's the Demi makes a couple of comments that helped me gain perspective into what I oh I think is going to happen in the future so demi says she felt like she had a lot of pressure coming off a Colton season. Me says she now feels undeniably herself and being undeniably. I believe herself means that she is in a relationship with Christian. I don't know and I would have to ask Jimmy. I don't I don't know if Demi fully knew what was going to happen to her relationship Christian when she went on the paradise. I think there is still the question of is this right is wrong. Am I going to be criticized. We saw all season fromer paradise gave her the platform to be confident in to explore this really secretion which obviously led to them being happily engaged and in love so in the future. I think the only change. I don't know if it's a change. The show makes is just now. They know that it's a possibility like it's open. It's available. It's there. It's not going to be a shock when somebody comes and says. Hey I actually came to paradise or hey I came on the bachelor or the Bachelorette and I thought I was into the bachelor to the lead actually into somebody of the same sex as me then I think the show now know how to respond and their response will be okay. Let's make make it happen. I think that is the big historical age. I just think that fans are going to get annoyed if it's continuously having going to bring someone in from their own life though so that's why I'm saying that they're going to have to cast more more. You know people who are interested in both sexes. You're saying that the FANS WANNA watch people in Paradise who've been on the Bachelor Bachelorette is a one time unique thing because is it somebody was brought in from outside and also the last person to say that because my sister was brought in but I think as a romantic interest I'm not sure of that will fly again to bring a romantic interest into into paradise or or could be the complete opposite other direction where now people now they've opened the floodgates to bringing people from the real world into bachelor yeah yeah but I but their engagement was beautiful so heartfelt like the love between them truly radiates into the family rooms in America. You know you feel it's palpable. It's it's it's something that will definitely change. Bachelor nation and I think that Damian Christian did show enormous amount of courage. It's no wonder they're busy today and as we got to tell the other couples congratulations on behalf of the famous podcast on finding love in Paradise Paradise Ashley to kind of switch gears here. There's a couple that did it find love and Paradise Nicole Nicole who we haven't seen about you texted last night and this morning about this. You're fired up that we did not get to see their conversation so before. I let you loose ash I want to give a quick rundown of what happened opened last night we saw clay during the fantasy suites not able to fully commit to Nicole. He says that he doesn't know if he loves her which breaks. Nichols pulls heart because she is in love with him but I think clay's saying hey. I want to try to make this work. I think this is something we could do. However it it all. Is it all in kind of like abrupt way fell on the beach in paradise. I was excited to see them kind of talk it out. It was one of the things I was kind of anticipating Ashley. We didn't see it and I know you want to know why so confusing so insider knowledge college they did film a scene of Clay Nicole in the hot seat. They had Angela involved. All three of them were there and they didn't make it in. I love my friends J Tanner Carly Evan Kristen Crystal but I think it's a little bit odd that they had that little reunion segment instead instead of showing one of the main players when the some of the main cast of Bachelor Paradise Season Six is like super weird especially especially a storyline that seemed so not finished when we saw Nicole leave I at least thought that she would like go home and regret what you did because clay did straight up offer to just be a girlfriend and boyfriend real life. She was not satisfied with not getting engaged gauged Persia -ly. Don't think it was the best choice. The Guy was saying I want to be with you. Just not ready to put a ring on your finger. He just takes engagement seriously and I'm sure he didn't WanNa do it more than once and he wasn't that point yet and I don't know how she expected him to be because he did just I'd say about two or three days prior that he wasn't even in love with her yet so I don't know how he was going to go from that point to engage in point in three days but hey who knows I was just I feel like myself and the audience or super interested in seeing their hot seat and it was bizarre. It was cut out you agree. It's bizarre Ashley but here's one thing I'm confused about then you can. Maybe help me a little because you do have insider information. The break-up happens. Everybody's upset. We WanNA watch well. We didn't get to so as fans get to go okay. Why in clay comes out last last night to answer a question he tweets yes as the reunion. They chose not to show my condo with Nicole. I basically explain why didn't think I think we were far enough along to get engaged in that are really did want to continue to a and wished her luck and here's a question with her new relationship ship. Nicola new relationship is something we know. No all I knew was from twitter that she was seeing somebody. Apparently she's now good friends with Angela. Woah they bond over the fact that clay likes them but then breaks up with them while he's still interested but not not really because clay didn't really break up with Nicole. She broke up with him when he didn't extend her a proposal yeah this is all like super super weird my only explanation as to why it may have been cut out is perhaps it was the exact same conversation we saw on that engagement deck you know it's just like. I wanted to get engage. You did it I'm done. I deserve better. You're an upfront with me. She keeps saying she was that. Klay wasn't upfront with her. I feel like he kind of environment. I think he was like yeah. It was it was maybe she felt like she needed more on why they weren't getting engaged but for whatever reason he was telling. You're not far enough along. I don't think he's going to work. I I do think clay communicates better at his head than he does outwardly meeting. I think he knows what he wants and what he's going to say but I think he does. It's always say as well as what he's thinking it especially in moments like this where there's a lot of like tension and so maybe she felt like he was explaining himself well enough true true and I also have to say that I think that clay is not in the right place to be in a relationship mentally emotionally right now. He has like things he needs is to tackle because the way that they parted seems to be very similar to the way that he and Angela parted. It's just like the guy like you a lot but like I don't. I know if I can do this yet. Like if I'm in the place in my life well then you shouldn't be dating people because then you're just getting their hopes up and they're are getting feelings and you're right yeah. If you're not there yet I mean because Nicole the coal and clay had such a good thing going for so long that felt like at the very end when there's actually decisions made he all of a sudden realised I the ready and that that was too far gone at that point but we didn't get the sea so obviously the show moved on what the show moved onto was a few a Lotta a lot of time against spin with J. J. Teasha the show really is enjoying this relationship to backtrack a little bit more during the live show actually we sought ap Jay and Derek Eric Habitat for each other again still no apologies still no conclusions still arguments who who would apology here. I mean gene the biggest BULGY IS J P J two Kristen Crystal for acting out adding he kind of have asked that apology right. Kinda SORTA tried yeah it kind of see. It wasn't like totally sincere. I wouldn't say I guess. I think thing that JP should be apologizing Derek. Jordan made it pretty clear what Derek was trying to convey when he's he's you know when he told he told him about instagram and DM's and all that stuff and JP Jay. I really just took like took an innocent comment about lifestyle in Vilnai's. It and I think that I think the Jiffy J. Owes Derek an apology. If anybody you know if anybody does anyone apology but I also think that they're just never going to be friends just like one of those bachelor in paradise like relationships where you're never gonna be your friends and they'll try to avoid each other all the time and I feel like most people have somebody like that. They kind of dread. Maybe running into at like bachelor family meet up things. Yeah can't imagine it'd be well. Hey I wanNA tease that will actually be with us in Vegas next week at Iheart fast. She'll be sitting down with us to discuss all of this will get some insider information obviously because she's the one living it will understand more of how she felt about the J. PJ Derek scenario and also also what happened with her and J P J because according to reality Steve he said that JP Jay and Teixeira are no more no longer together so you know what reality Steve has been right before. I'm assuming he's right again considering. Jp Jay's not going to be in Vegas so close host a half him was he's on the show yeah yeah well..
