"Other stuff. So it's just about kind of a realignment. I guess once i've done that i look to a mentioned reflected and then i'll often send an email to five to ten people have sent this to you before. Yes you have which is kind of trying to get external feedback on the same thing. The email usually goes something along. The lines of all has two questions. What might i do more of. What might i do less off next year. Based on what you've seen of us together. Whatever what you've observed of me. What monitor more of a monitor. So and so. I take all of that data. This is data collection and then i do a process. Not unlike what you describe love that you'll mantras always so perfectly just perfectly gentleman and like they transfer context and all the words you know. It's just up. And i use the work that we adopted from a friend of alice. Mary frea and you pick between one to three words as kind of guiding principles for the year so in the past two years ago. I had world class and rumbling and boy did. I do some rumbling that year and the next year so this last year i had daring sharing and caring with my three words last year. I have a little sentence in my head. Or i know what that means. So i guess that's where i'm maybe a little different to your process. You turn them into a really really liked that carbonated from the inside. You turn that into something. That's black really lots you up whereas daring sharing carrying his words. Don't necessarily let me up. But i i know what they mean and that to me has been what's important. I think what mine changes in thinking about the next year this combination from the inside. I'm trying to think about how. I might make it something that i've read or see on a whiteboard and go. Oh yes that excites me. And so i'm still kind of in the process of figuring out what those words might be. I have some ideas. But i'll just stop there because i've been talking for a long time. I think it is such an important point. I mean yes. You and i are sharing ours publicly. But typically you don't have to share publicly your mantra or your word and it really doesn't matter if other people understand what your internal mantra is. What matters is that you understand it and you know what it means in terms of informing your decisions and your choices and the way you intend to show up. Yes yes yes. And i think like you. I don't necessarily have resolutions. These are more. I think of them as postures practices reminders. Of how i want to show up and i think what's really important. I talked about this on a on a recent interview. On the dreaded question podcasts by a friendly torah maybe papa lincoln the box of goodies and we talked about not dismissing a year. I think it's really important. I mean the temptation we twenty years to be like..

"Tell me about three vegetables that you'd like eating carrots. Broccoli so K. Why do you not to Motors Huseyin? Green really juicy really right because is read your favorite color anymore. I like I like the the colors in the frame. Borough yes I know you love rainbows and what about Broccoli Berkeley? All we upbeat. Yeah but why to my kids to read he night and what about was carrots tonight carrots and is there anything? Magic inside counts mainly imported case. If he done something special and good for you who have a really good Feng make you said. Did you know that how you talk to your kids about vegetables which I call as food talk can make a huge difference in how they feel vegetables. Now I believe and certainly from my experience of working with children for the pause fifteen years regardless of whether they have a chronic medical condition or an underlying undiagnosed food allergy or genetics or chess. Where's reasons that may be contributing to picky eating? It's all about how you approach feeding. You're feeding star and you're feeding strategy that can impact on how your child will respond to food and water mean by that is one of the ways that. I teach families to hell a picky eater east to focus on the language around food and that Chaba lls vegetables can be a really tricky thing for some too. Because it's not naturally very sweet and we know that babies particularly are really prone to enjoying sweet or salty flavors and that's why they loved sold or sugary foods and so fruit tends to be a little bit easier to slip down than vegetables which tend to be a bit more bitter so they sort of need to learn to love those foods just like how we learn to enjoy alcohol or coffee or something a bit stronger like blue cheese. It's not something we sort of grow up enjoying. We we sort of developed a pilot for those flavors and I really believe that how you talk to children about food can make a huge impact. Now I had a master clause on the state evening and again on Saturday morning just this week being and we spoke all about what makes a picky eater at the best ways to help them. I'm really sorry that I couldn't jump online on the podcast and tell you about it. So a my sincere apologies however I do have a recording from one of the sections which is now on the website leather learning hub. And it has spoken to you about that yet. I've launched a section on my website cord learning hub. And it takes you through all of my digital products that you can Purchase and at present they all address one thing and that's picky eating so I've got my online course on picky eating. Which is that an introductory price of one nine nine so if you are struggling with peaky eating. I'd encourage you to grab it before the price goes up and I've also got the master clause on picky eating which is twenty pounds at the moment to watch the recording. And it'll invite you to join the learning how behind the scenes and literally. It's a fifty minute recording. You can grab a cup of tea and you could just sit back. Relax Watch direct cording. And then there are worksheets for you to work through in your own time and you have seven days to watch that recording so if you if picky eating is really worrying at the moment then I would encourage you to tune into those one parent who attended the masterclass. Did say to me that she couldn't stop thinking at bad her own feeding style and how it reminded of how she had been brought up around food and nutrition and how she was actually mimicking those behaviors with her own children. And I think it's profound when you have that kind of realize station and if that's happening to you as a result of watching the master clause then go with it. It's it doesn't have to be negative. It's really really positive. And I take you through the various parental feeding styles and how to address it. How can you change it so that it becomes really positive when you're if you're experiencing lots of food battles at the table? Then I do take you through some examples in the monster claws so it's just twenty pounds at the moment he can watch that recording our papa link in the show notes so you can help yourself otherwise head over to UK kids nutrition dot com and hit the learning hub section again. So I just wanted to give you a quick example of some feeding strategies or food talk as to call it and food is definitely a strategy that you can employ when you are around and typically children in how you present that with spinach or Broccoli or something that they really don't like the May some say something like Yuck I don't like it no me. I don't want to eat did or rose. It's always one of those words that you instantly think. Oh my goodness you become you know you may become cross or he may become upset and I just want to sort of pause when there happens. Think about why you're gone. Is You know making or having that kind of reaction. Think about how it makes you feel but also how your child feels and then have a little think about how you can respond in a way that would be really very positive but so that was actually my four year old daughter that he had at the beginning of today's clip and a reminder actually to that relationship with carrots because she wears glasses and I remember the first time she wore glasses. I it was around three years of age. I was really heartbroken. But then thank you to everyone who sort of reached out to me via my instagram. At UKY IS NUTRITION. And you just said you know my daughter or my son wears glasses too and it's okay and I guess I was a little bit worried about her being bullied or something like that. I don't know it was really need was my own insecurities. She loved the losses obviously a year or eighteen months further down the track. She you know she needs to be regularly reminded to where the glasses and I was thinking about. How can I get her to get interested in some vegetables which she doesn't naturally like and so I? Would you know obviously relating all the vitamin A rich foods? That's if you're not sure. What are they rich? Foods is basically anything that are green or brightly colored so spinach Kale carrots. Sweet potato sweet potatoes definitely the richest source of vitamin. But there's so many many different foods including some animal foods but if you just focus on vegetables today it's really things lie. Rob Peppers Carrots Spinach Kale. That's something so I would I said to her. Did you know that there's magic or something special inside carrots or Broccoli and things like that and I said to her they help you see in the dogs? You're not really afraid in the dog in the night and she said Oh really and that sort of got her bit interested. It helped me to have a dialogue with her about the bachelor. I mean she. She loves carrots. Oh that's no problem but when it came to something like spinach or she calls them salad. She's you know. She eats really not her favorite food and again scream or shout. Joe Become Really Cross but is going to have no impact on but what will entice that into. Having at least a conversation with me about this food is to give her some fun fats because obviously if you say to him victim in a helps you see in the night as she might be like. Well what's vitamin A? Or if you say. It's good to help you these antioxidants. It's going to reduce your risk of major health conditions. She's going to be like what are you talking about money? So it's about finding ways that food can be meaningful to the chart and finding ways of getting them excited about vegetables so what I suggest is have a little think about the fruit or vegetables or any food that you would like to see your child eat and think about how you can link it to how to get them excited about trying that food and then when it comes to mealtimes sit down with them during the meal really participate in the meal and try and if they bring negativity to the table by saying Yuck or gross or whatever it is that they're saying just say to them. Oh we don't talk like that at the table. We don't talk about food or foods delicious and I always up to mature and I definitely all families who work with me. Get this kind of adviser we we address a heart the language and how you talked to your children about food and I never realized but until one of the parents who attended the master clock set to me while by in a US. Open my eyes that I don't really engaged with my child in a positive way about vegetables whole different way of learning to talk to kids about vegetables. So I think you know it's going to be really positive yes you Charles and then a magically start eating food or the different vegetables overnight but it just starts to help them build some sorta positively some positive language about food and the menu us all of the other strategies that I teach you in the online course which is add one nine nine by the way as introductory price in the learning hub. Make sure you grab that. Because it is great value of Papa Lincoln the show and then once you youth are the strategies alongside the positive food. Your child will start to become more likely to try these foods or when they will certainly wake up one day and the ready to try the new foods and especially at those crucial moments. How you talk to your kids when they are ready to try new foods really really important too so just to wrap up really as you could hear my daughter at the beginning of this episode talking about you know. She's pretty much driven by column inches. At the age where UNICORNS and rainbows are her thing. And that's fine. I'm GONNA use that because she loves color. You can talk. You can hear talk about the fact that Broccoli is green and tomatoes of red. Red is her favorite color has been for a long time to suddenly decided rainbow colors thing so anything with lots of it now suggests to me that she would love to see colorful things on her plate and now whether she goes on to eat those foods every single time will differ based on our appetite. How she's feeling that day issue in the mood to eat it but the positive food talk will really really help. And I give you loads of suggestions and ideas on food to inside my Brat new online. 'cause called the best way to help your fussy eating baby toddler and old child. That's all for today. Thank you so much for tuning in and look forward to catching up with you in the next episode and by the way. If you've been tuning in I would love love. Love a share of the podcast or pleased to write me a review as in really loves other parents find the POD. 'cause between Edison much. Thank you bye for now..

"Give a little radiation on taking over a key to want to kill that man just relax a little bit pretty motional stuff with coach Tom Flores I feel definitively that he will be in the NFL hall of fame next year but for him to be there in canton this year on Saturday and finding out that is good pal cliff branch passed away while the ceremonies going on getting a text Marcus Allen had to just be devastating for coach I believe his phone probably died so I will have more on another time will affect coach worked on the radio broadcast you know with the raiders for many many years did a great job color commentating and had a pretty good trio there with Greg Papa Lincoln Kennedy and coach Flores and I know stuff for coach to step aside there as far as you know the broadcasting of course Brent Musburger now called the game's Lincoln Kennedy as a color commentator that will be your tandem this year as well Brent still does a great job just turned eighty years old himself and does an outstanding job of course the visa network over there as south point you can check that out live always have a lot of good stuff going on Major League Baseball eight two now San Diego over Seattle so if you had the total up and over the nine or nine and a half were closed you have that over in tact that is good three one Dodgers top eight that total was eight now have got that down to eight so the money went the right way there Kershaw opened a one eighty five favorite went off to minus two hundred so a two run lead there which is good news for Katie because remember I that that would rob Richie are farmers insurance guys the big cardinal fan and it looks like for all intents and purposes I was dead in the water I mean three weeks ago you could me I think the Mets were about eight games seven and a half eight games behind the cardinals if the red birds lose tonight the Mets are only game and a half behind St Louis Philly loses in you're losing seven four that would put the Mets I believe within a game of Philly ABF I even a half game Washington did finish off San Francisco so the gnats state pace with the Mets getting very interesting I mean we're still in the early parts of August now the Mets got to be careful if you're looking to make money on the net to remember they've won twelve or thirteen yes they have Stroman they don't know Vargas rest of the team pretty much the same remember they've been beaten up on some pretty bad teams the card Pittsburgh in that funk of a nine game losing streak in you know I think it's for extra twelve fifteen of seventeen the Mets are seventeen or eighteen and five in the last twenty three somewhere in that neighborhood ten twelve thirteen but none of the teams that they're beating our top tier teams have been beating up on the white Sox and Pittsburgh as I said the Miami Marlins so we'll find out more about how good this next team is or if they truly are going to be a player for the wildcard in for that purposes for is maybe challenging Atlanta they have to pass Washington first they play Washington at home this weekend so the big home stand for the Mets they want to finish off Miami tomorrow get a day off on Thursday and then Washington comes in for a three game set Friday and Saturday to the better pitching match ups that you will see this weekend Strasbourg instrument on Friday from Citi field and Patrick Corbin Noah Syndergaard on Saturday thirty goes for Washington comes off the outstanding effort last night where he pitched six shutout innings for the nats against Arizona and he will take on Jacob to ground on Sunday so the next day to at a three or somehow if they're able to sweep that series then talk to me then there a player because then they have Atlanta they have a couple other tough teams but there's about a twenty game stretch there where the plane all playoff teams right now taking advantage of playing a lot of the bottom feeders now Philadelphia is one of those teams as well that's battling and Everytime Phillies fans think that their team is going to challenge than the drop a few so very inconsistent Phillies team so we'll find out if the Mets can make make Graham ground up on Philadelphia and passed them and then focusing on Washington Atlanta Braves have a nice little comfortable lead there and the brakes still the team to beat if the Mets do get to the playoffs though if they get to that one game playoff when you have a staff that has two grown or Stroman or Syndergaard you're set up pretty good so if you throw see the ground in the one game playoff game you win that your okay starting Syndergaard or Stroman in a best of five series see how things pan out keep an eye on those games are still rolling down on the rich badges in the Toyota time scoreboard have Seattle you're not out of it yet it's eight four now bonhomie against San Diego Padres at any nothing lead going into the eighth inning and letting you know that game to go up and over the total tomorrow night Major League Baseball and see what we've got on schedule now some early games because Wednesday lot a matinee games Toronto yet to decide on who they're going to throw against McKay for Tampa Bay so that line not out as of yet talk about Texas in Cleveland being postponed I only see the one game scheduled right now so they may have an open date on Thursday may be able to make it up then instead of a double header tomorrow Texas at Cleveland Jurado on please sick tomorrow and please check is minus one eighty nine eight the total little bit cheated to the under minus one fourteen again we satiated one way or the other on a total that means you'll have to lay in this instance if you want to go under the total the you would put up one hundred fourteen dollars instead of the standard one hundred ten to one one hundred Chicago White Sox in Detroit Nova goes against Alexander from Comerica a B. Nova minus one fifteen for the fellows nine the total this one shaded to the over minus one twenty so again you have to if you think they're going to be the two teams will combine for more than nine runs he would put up a hundred twenty dollars for each hundred dollars that you're trying to win in the total up over nine Chicago White Sox Detroit remember Chicago bill tell me no over more times than not if he's pitching one where the other games going to go over the the last one went under so might be a good spot there to take a shot at the over Yankees with Paxton the southpaw against another lefty in means for Baltimore tax the minus two twenty five for the Bronx bombers nine and a half the total down a little bit from the opening total of ten I can go to for all five the first three games that I gave you Toronto Tampa Bay again no pitching matchups set yet okay we know is going to go for Tampa Toronto still deciding Texas Cleveland and white Sox in Detroit all those games.
