"Welcome to Santa Cruz. Kitchens I'M MEL and today. Our special guest is straight from Idaho. To Low. I'm Samantha Samantha. Thanks for joining us today. So Andrea has decided to go to Seattle and shelter in place there for the rest of the quarantine so we will be talking to Andrea. Probably a couple of weeks. In the meantime Samantha and I went out and Georgia. Santa Cruz restaurant So did we want to talk about new or old restaurants that have gone out of business. I don't think I've heard of any new ones for sure I think so. I don't think so either and did we do any taste tests this week. We certainly stayed in a lot. We made a lot of homemade food. Yeah we did make homemade food. What were some of the fun homemade foods that you liked making homemade tortillas in spaghetti and the Pasta FRESH PASTA? That was fun. Yeah tastes so good and I think our only taste test was sign of a taste test on Memorial Day which was between cool whip. Oh and homemade lip cream real cream. I don't know what I liked best. What do you like best? I like the CO at best. Because it's it's like actually sugary and children. It's the sugar and for the adults like myself. I like the regular cool whip because it's nice and creamy and not to sweets. That's what I like about it. So today we're GonNa Review and express hand eggs for us. That's right we went to the Panda Express on Forty First Avenue and Panda Express can be found a lot of different places in California. I don't know if they're out of California but I do know that one family owns all the Panda Express one in Idaho. Up In yeah. I don't think we've gone to it though. Well I guess they're not just in California then they're elsewhere great and So what did you have? I had the I got a box of the orange chicken with Charmaine. How was it very good? That's like my favorite thing to get there. The orange chicken is yes. Oh good yeah I got Three little tasters to got What did I get like some kind of shrimp? Oh the shrimp that's right. The I think it was sweet. Fire Shrimp Bird. Something fire firecracker. Shrimp does it was pretty good for a little box. We had like six shrimp or something like that and he seemed to be perfectly cooked. They definitely not a Cookham. Good there and the other thing we tried was the Kung Pao chicken because one of our Chinese relatives said that her favourite at Panda Express was the Kung Pao chicken. So they'll try that and the other thing we tried was the sweet fire chicken breast which was good to. Would you like about the orange chicken once you describe what that's like? I guess the Flavor. And how's IT cooked good right? I think I'm not completely sure. Actually I think so. Yeah it's chunks of chicken seems like it has a fried coating on it. It has an orange sauce on. Did it come with an extra sauce or just comes in a song just comes in the sausage? Have any extra sauce with the sausage like really good. It's like kind of sweetish not really kind of yes. And that's what I thought. Let's see I got. Did you ever read your fortune? I didn't think I didn't even get the fortune whenever the fortune one I picked up mine and it was already cracked open. I don't know if that's good luck. Or Bad luck or what. I saw fortune cookie sitting on the counter and I'm just like Oh a fortune cookie I can't remember what my fortune was. Though must not have been very memorable. It was probably like this too shall pass one day. We'll all get back to work and get out of quarantine and the Andrea will come back. But it's been nice having visit for sure. Yes so let's see what we spend down that we spent twenty one dollars and we got so. You're you're Challe main came with like to helpings. I think of the the orange chicken because they wanted in the box. You can kind of get a box and we went into the takeaway where we just ordered at the door and then waited for our order. You can also order. They have an online order. And then you can just go pick it up when it's ready so we didn't do that one though and this is the we went to the Panda Express located on Forty First Avenue over there in your Home Depot and Safeway and all bunch of big stores there. But I think any time you go to a Panda Express. It seems like it's exactly the same kind of food it tastes so that's kind of reliable. I like that about some places like that. That's our review of Panda Express and should we raised our rate our lunch there. At Panda Express guests explain. What are our Rating system is so the number one is focused. Place Amata here which means it was terrible. You're never going back number two a second helping which means I'm GONNA go back there and gets more some time. Maybe I'll even bring a friend and then the third was this thing is a plate liquor when I'm done with my plate or my box. Whatever it's clean because it is totally clean. How do you think you would rate your meal at Pantex? I say platelets. That's basically music like every restaurant I like. Food is like food is food is my thing. Have you ever had food? That was so bad. You couldn't finish it Runyan's all they never started in restaurants hopefully enough to think about that one. So this one's a plate liquor for you. Yes for me. It's a second helping because I did have to throw. We ate in the car actually because we took our meal away and I had to throw out some peppers. Because they're just do odd for me so I could not finish. That couldn't have been a plate liquor for me but it was. It's definitely a second helping. I love going there so I'll actually go go back again and should we leave these guys with some food words of wisdom today already. You are what you eat. Thanks for.

"May if you guys have figured it out yet DB six and recoil or not with US tonight DB apparently is a mighty baby who decides to do things even when he's in pain we'll let Google She it's recoil is always working his ass off needs break in yeah. He can't be on Saturdays right now. So hopefully he's doing good But yeah got a lot of stuff to cover tonight We were supposed to have a guest co host. But they're not here but that's okay. We're still going on Google. What's going on the farm? We got snow in May. That's not unheard of actually and we're new. So here's what happens every single year. We put the snow shovels away. 'cause everyone was like put them away. Put them away. We never want to relate. Nope they're saying like we put them away a couple of weeks ago and here here we go. We always got one more snow so next year. We're going to leave him until may tenth and everyone's like all the new residents are going to be like. Why do you still have your snow shovels out? It doesn't snow in May will really watch. Watch the watch if you guys leave them out. It won't snow. I know but that's the thing every every single year we put them. We finally put them away because it hasn't snowed in so long. And then we got one more so please just leave him out on what I'm saying. Just leave out it other than that. I mean you know. We're just hanging out where you do have the story for us. Don't you tell us a story? It depends on which one you're talking about. That's creepy. Wait a minute about yeah. It'll all right. So one of them is that six has been in pain for like the past several days like on his back on the couch in pain and today he's like I'm done being on the frigging couch. I'm going out unlike British fucker. You going so he leaves. He's going into town home right. I call him forty five minutes later. I'm like where are you at? He Goes Massachusetts. Doing Massachusetts. Like you said that you were in pain. He goes from you. It's like forty five minutes when you're older adds a run to the store and he's like. I'll be back before you're done there. I'm like yeah okay. Whatever so I'm on my way home and I call him back. It's now an hour later. And unlike where are you still do your Masters Fuck? He couldn't drive. I'm like Oh my God I'm coming to get you so my daughter and I went to go get him and then he's got him back in the truck and my daughter's getting into the car and she looks at me and she goes. I can tell that uncles in a lot of pain because he's breathing breathing. What are you talking about these this? She fix that later. Like.

Infinite Empathy - Shane Ray Martin

"Today's tip comes from Shane. Ray Martin Shane. Self Introducing An. I couldn't begin to articulate his passion for Orange Chicken. The way he does so I'll let him take it from here. What words would you say to someone? If it was the last words they'd ever hear my name. Is Shane Ray Martin? I'm a sales professional a suicide hotline volunteer and be biggest fan of Panda Express. Orange Chicken I love some Orange Chicken and I love a good sales tip. My sales for today is called infinite empathy. We will maximize our sales outcomes when we practice. Infant empathy impotent simply means forever empathy means complete and total understanding. Now stay with me. The principal. Infant empathy has helped me help others who are suicidal in on balcony. Ledges ready to jump take steps backward in order to take steps forward into the life that they always wanted similarly you as a sales professional in me as a sales professional we help our clients take steps back to see their whole situation in steps forward in action. Hopefully the action is purchasing your products. So how do you do this? How do you practice impotent empathy? There's three things you can consider trying one. Let go judgment to listen. Actively three leave people better. Let's quickly break it down. Judgement creates distance. We all do it. I'm just as guilty. We might find when we go judgment. We often can discover unseen opportunities more opportunities more dollars more vacations more college funds for me more orange chicken now. The second principle of infant empathy listening actively speaking more sometimes get this less in speaking less could potentially get us more. We've got coworker friend who talks too much. Maybe an ex. I don't know but here. She is missing out on getting accurate information by talking so much information that is accurate is a modern day version of gold. So let's consider speaking lesson listening more. I think we'll maximize ourselves outcomes when we do. The third and final thing of infinite and the is leaving people better. Lasting impressions are lasting in sales professionals. We don't have to persuade anyone to do anything. Our job is simply to create an environment in which are prospects can convince themselves we can do this by having courage to ask bold questions new orientation question fly would you be opposed to signing by the twenty six. Are you against moving? Forward without this feature. Would it be ridiculous if you gave me an extra fortune cookie with my order remember? Infant empathy simply means practicing letting go of judgment listening actively and leaving people in a better place.

Coronavirus: Without Chinese Tourists, Business Sags

"Rocks are cold tables empty Chinatown deserve it is empty Helen ang is the owner of amazing sixty six restaurant a mod street has dropped about fifty percent people are very concerned we understand their feelings and actually a hunting that's to blame it on corona virus even though there are no confirmed cases in New York just the fear of it seems to be keeping residents at home for Helen the pinches especially hard because she refuses to let her staff be punished by the fear she still pays them even if no one is ordering any food yeah it's kind of crazy to me the idea of avoiding I would venture to say you know Phoenix doesn't have like a Chinatown I know San Francisco or New York City done right I would venture to say that there is a lot of fear out there because there's a lot of ignorance and that folks are avoiding that entire area all together if you if you look at the economics of it I would assume that it's not just Chinese restaurants in Chinatown in Manhattan that are having this economic impact I would venture to say it's probably the hotels in the area of the businesses in the area so many people who we've heard in L. E. the the only way you're gonna get it as one if you've been to Wuhan China for okay or if you are exposed to somebody who has been there recommended and so people are avoiding these areas for fear that people may have been to that area and they may be transmitting the disease but if you're afraid to go to the panda express okay little defend order the egg rolls because yeah they contain coronavirus you've gone completely off the deep but that's not what they're saying here yeah I mean you you are you have taken this to an extreme but that's interesting again that we're seeing little entire parts of towns in the Chinese restaurant industry because people associate this with China directly arm and I get why again if you are in China or somebody who's recently come back from there but as we've seen in the United States we have a very different dumb system in dealing with potential people in a potentially been exposed to this then you see in other countries and we have done things like quarantine people we have the planes you know that have shown up and and we have people that are you being treated at hospitals are under observation we don't have a bunch of people from MoveOn trying to just wandering the streets down you know making your foot in the Chinese restaurants what happened but a but there are a lot of there's a lot of misinformation out there there's a lot of panic out there and the people I I think I'll probably just taking the the measure of you know better safe than

"My pants come down here lacroix i like lacroix because like the the selection of flavors and i drink water pretty quick right and so actually chug can pretty quick so the flavor stays with me for as long as i have but then you get the smaller bottles those go way too quick those are like not enough those little ones yeah yeah the little the little bottles are terrible for that and the little cancer terrible too because a it's a kanza when to open it you're you have to drink it it goes flat right away and the serving size is not enough so the lacroix just seems to be like the perfect amount it's goldilocks when it comes to spark those spin drifts i've been getting we don't have them right now that they had just a little bit of real real fruit juice but they're like very very low they're like they're like five calories they're like super super super low but they're they're sparkling water with reels like like the lemon one is one calorie so it's like like taste so much more like you're drinking something more substantial right hey naked in the snoot video when he wants to dogwood you morph down into a minion wait who's pulling up to give us a ride cruiser amir the minion in snoop dog is a dog gets inside cruiser ramirez drives around the video sounds pretty cool to me god god we couldn't work the right center hey that was the challenge just like a restaurant by your feedback let's feed bag today's email comes from a shelby michelle writes sometimes i like to include my cat if i'm indulging in a guilty pleasure when otherwise alone if i won unhealthy snack i will give my cat her favorite treats if i want to have a beer i will let the cat have some catnip do you do this to what is the cat treat equivalent to fast food cheers michelle the human and chloe the cat and you she included a picture of her seller you're gonna show me and chloe right here you guys can take a look at that oh very very durable pick that's great very very cute they're chloe's khloe the cats are gonna right into the camera good job looks like khloe stake in the south e but that's impossible in talking call no we haven't told the people that cruise mir's is an actual it's the cars in here in pause able unac oh boy do you mitch do you do that as a cat owner do you ever like you're giving you're having some taco bell and you decide to give wallie and irma some sort of treat you know i've said this before but the bali number don't zip mild cat zip yes she used the human food she loved human food recipes recipes zip she lived a very long life she lived twenty two years yes she was she was when i was like a little kid when i was like we to when i was four or five she used to follow me around the neighborhood she'd walk around behind a dog she follow me around we had great adventures together we have some we had some great time she was a great cat and then buster to also a great cat she was a little bit more skittish but i i love buster very much but zip was it was great and she but she always go out your food like if you've got a sub or something like she had like going pick out it wally and not they'll be interested in they'll come up and sniff it but they'll never try to eat it right they'll they'll never really try to to get the food interesting so the so i mean what what is the question what is the catnip for me or something is like if you're having something unhealthy decide like you know what i'm going to give my cats unhealthy to kind of give them a treat as well you know what i'll do i'll get i'll get like a regular can of tuna or or a little bowl of milk and like that a little bit but yeah they're they're good cats their cats i love them i love them both softer side i i'm only just mean to nick i'm not i'm not a very mean person i mean physically you're all softer side guess what wall in normal like to cuddle up in that but no they they they don't they don't they don't seem to love or any human food i've gotten so far.

"Know you buy it in that you can get an actual burn from those but say the beijing beef was great like that was like a standout for me that was like a really really good dish beijing beef i don't know if i've had before either but i sort of i decided to go for things that i don't normally get outside the chicken which i've gone before on the child main and the and it's it's quite good either the way the bell peppers onions work with the beef i think was was nice in that sauce was again not overpowering lee sweet and the little bit of burn was nice kung pao chicken was good it's a good execution of it you know it's not mindblowing you'll you'll get much better cow and it may be craved the kung pao chicken at the chinese phase place by our apartment that just recently closed because they raised the rent which was a bummer but just like just like that kind of feel like you go to any chinese place you can get get kung pao chicken on par better the walk stairs stake in trip was nice depend expresses credit and i'm curious your thoughts on your one at shrimp krista but the i think they do their shrimp pretty well for fast food yeah they do yeah i mean a lot of shrimp seafood you get fast food places it's like oj away their shrimp is pretty good and i thought this was this was a nice dish how do you like the chumming because i know you said you crave it it's your goto for me i like it but the reason i go for rice's because the chalmers to me is so so heavy like i feel like i'm always just like so full after but you know what i like about this town main though is that it's not normally as greasy as you would get that stor chinese establishments so like for me it's a nice option because you know sometimes when you order something that's way too greasy you can't eat it you can't really yes it or you don't eat as much of it because it just you can feel it going down your throat it's just right but i like i like the main at panda because it is slightly drier i i agree with you like for me it's like you know and i love and luck everybody we all love a good like like kind of like homemade flavored like chow main something that you can imagine like a grandmother making but like this i do like that it does seem like it's just it almost seems like not exactly kind of like a like a cold pasta in a way where it doesn't seem even if it's cold you can still eat it yes there's certain that once it gets cold they'll never heat up the right way it's not it's not drenched in like sore it's not just like sopping wet why why like it and also you know for me actually i was gonna say that what i like about your choices that everything is very different from each other shore and that's what i like about pandas that you get a lot of different things and kind of form your own like mishmash but yeah the channel main for me is just it's a rarity i don't go to panda very often for me it's kind of like a treat it's like a once in a while thing but the main for me i always have to get it because i know i won't have it for a long while right what did you think of the the other dishes you got tonight okay well i like the beef broccoli's good what is just which i think is the problem with most dishes at have broccoli you need a chop them up more rainy to chop up the broccoli because then you're you're getting more broccoli than beef which which is we all know that's going to happen anyway but it also makes it hard to eat and the serving you get more broccoli than you do i'm gonna take the fall for some of this 'cause 'cause i u s for more broccoli i asked broccoli they know me the veggie me when when i ordered i got a medium low main for you we can go over everything we got medium low main the entrees were small we got three small ones in the small sizes were small it.

"I do the main i always do like the beef and broccoli love broccoli it became this thing where like as an adult unlike fuck in the broccoli i always get that and i always get the walnut shrimp but i hate it i hate ordering because they all judge me for it every time i ordered the walnut shrimp they're like you know it's a dollar extra fucking know at the dollar it's not this isn't going to break my bank just throw it in there you know i feel bad for the person that's like whoa i didn't know the whole dollar but you know i like the walnut shrimp a lot and i like the tofu i really do like the tofu vegetables we just because i i like you know having been with the vegetarian for so long i love tofu but yeah in the orange chicken i can take her leave it's kind of like a m i in the mood for it or not but you know you actually said something really interesting which i think so many people we never talk about texture when it comes to food yes and texture is actually such an important part of food because sometimes you think do i want something soft do i want something crunchy and the moment you tell yourself that you're gonna get a certain food you start mentally preparing for that experience you know so like with orange chicken i always think will kind of like a chicken nuggets you know it's all it's it's like a little its own little thing that's kind of different you know but you have to be in the mode right and speaking of the chicken and speaking of that texture i got a dish i went last night as i mentioned to the brentwood location which is like one of new here's the thing i was gonna say come on i live on the west side france wasn't trying to go to the fancy part like that's the closest i'm on hold on let me explain what was going on is it called prada express all products so proper band express and what i was going to say is that there are working class people in that area and that panda express always has a big line because one of the few cost efficient options there people like never mind your hero who work in the area for instance and you're not someone who's like a rich person who who lives in that area but maybe you're someone who works there then that's a nice option for you that's all i was trying to say god bless you yeah i am a hero i'm a hero for going to the brentwood band express q bruce rings allen change brentwood to allen changed allentown would 'cause i'm over here in brentwood experts seen all around i love that by the way that's that is a great big i'm a diehard billy joel fan on almost laughable level i love billy joel he gets a lot of crap i like billy joel to this you know i took my mom to dodger stadium billie joe alive and we were there we were dancing together put my arm around or seen billy joel twenty five times that's how that's insane yeah like twenty five times what you know what i got upset about they they did like they did no one commented on me saying i made a move on my mom i said i put my arm move i didn't hear me feel weird i believed it they did like an audience they're like all right like i'm gonna let you to you know he does he did it was like two songs that was like it was like tell her about it or like it was like a dorky song like that and then like obviously like a fan favourite and i was like like like a like a deep fan favorite like one that like and i was like i want like the popular mainstream i wanted him to decides yeah yeah didn't wanna be side i i wanted i wanted the popular song and then dand uptown girl i that's a passion because that's i have known so many women that say that's my song that's about may and it just annoys the.

"Thing that i'm craving which is like she'll can fingers and crab rangoon's in kind of like this like shittier version of it but pinned express is a good version of that i know that they don't have some of the things i said there they have like it's scratches that each of like oh like i can go and how that low main and be okay with in the especially that aren't chicken is is great it it's it's it's it's it's it's almost sort of thing of like like with like oh if i if i wanted really good chinese food maybe i wouldn't go like it's the domino's verse getting pizza that i like or you know what i'm saying right yes yes with fast food where a lot more forgiving right because it's fast food so it doesn't have to be amazing but it has to be serviceable so it's that thing where i think it's good to like like it is but if you're craving you know chinese if you want like a sit down dinner you know you don't go to panic spread this a sarily i can count on on i think on both hands how many times i've actually sat there and it's because usually on the road but you know it is one of those things where i don't crave a lot of fast food because i didn't really grow up with it but pandas one of those that i kinda like you know and i like that you can pick random shit it's like i like i like the tofu and vegetables because that makes me feel like i'm being healthy kinda which which which they didn't have tonight hardly haven't that's why i gave other options because i know they tofu and vegetables at penn express is like the ice cream machine at mcdonald right like it you can get it maybe thirty forty percent of the time and the rest it's like broken you know i get it i actually went down the mentioned that i went to the when i went to panda express last night they were out of the tofu vegetables and and it would like they had a tray for it and i asked for it and they were like we don't have anymore so yeah i wonder why that is i wonder why i wonder whether it's yeah i don't think that it's because they don't get a lot you know i was my ex boyfriend he's vegetarian and i used to experience this a lot where with him where a lot of places don't get a lot of vegetarian business race so they make like a certain x amount of that and then when it's out it's out because they really don't have a lot of need if for the certain dish that would cater to to vegetarians that that was what my thought was that yeah they just make okay copycat right now so there's a prepared amount and then they don't make em and then but with the orange chicken it's like they're cranking over on every five minute really the crispy cream donut of like panics the glazed it's always been done yeah absolutely books as glazed as glazed doughnut it's very it's very very kanye shikin it's a very shiny chicken i i love the orange chicken and it's like it's so like the texture is great it's consistent when you get it hot especially it's delightful and just like that that sort of that sticky sickly sweet song is just so it's so specific and i feel like also so i mean it's kind of comforting in a way because it's so like i know exactly what i'm going to get an almost always delivers certain so i i love the orange chicken it's generally go to for me do you have a goto you get in terms of your your general order there i yeah i it's actually so.

"That i go to or the same right when i'm on the road because they're dependable and i know what i'm going to get so there's certain chains that i know don't exist anywhere i go to those chains but panics presses sometimes he just crave it and it's weird because you do create like i was craving the challe main you know it's like i start thinking about it and i'm like i want it and it's so weird because i never get the rice i never get the fried rice because i don't know i feel like chinese restaurants have this deal where they get a ton of rice for a nickel because so many chinese restaurants you get so much rice and it's overkill and when i saw the show main i'm like oh that's like asian pasta so you know it's like i love it it's it's nice but i also like that i grew up in a super like blue collar family so i'm a sucker for any chain that has a tray yes i love the trae is old school and for me it's like it's got this kind of like americana vibe to it because you don't have a lot of places that have the trae thing anymore you get pick you know so i i get excited about that kind of stuff it reminds me of growing up and being a kid right i it's funny because i always talk about china i drive people mad with what i say about east coast west coast chinese food they're both good i like i like both of them i just think that that east coast is different in a way that i like in west coast is different way that i like and on the on the west coast it's hard to get that east coast.

"So yeah that was good about president that's gone now that's a skill that you get from growing up in the city of presidents president but you know yeah it was i did the tour and then after that they sat me in a room and they started telling me about cars three and i had no idea why i was they gave me the whole story i'm like well that sounds great congratulate they put me into a booth and they asked me to read a couple lines and then the next day i went to canada to do a tour of for just for laughs and no shit someone had stolen my debit card and i didn't have a credit card you know it was like i didn't have a credit card with me and i was with a bank then i looked up the bank and i walked two miles to this bank turned out that it was like a real estate division they don't do any banking there and i was really miserable because i was on the road in canada for two weeks and i didn't know how how i was going to get money you know anything and i remember i broke down and i just started bawling in toronto like in the streets of toronto because i was like i don't know what i'm going to do that was what i got the call and i got i got off the job for cars and i was like i don't even know i don't give a shit of money right now amazing i was like whatever i'm poor all right let's do it email from pixar at said that nick and mitch never need to take a tour we'll take a break we'll be back with more ws welcome back to doboy yeah yeah i was thinking that you're if you went to you could get some work as if you did if you if you were low bought down and disneyland come on could be low buckle around character thinking more of an metron sitting in one place you could be in star wars yes to a our three po so i'm just in the star tours line entertainment yeah all right stella alonzo talking panda express i should mention our buddy evan susser a huge fan appendix he told he text us and say make sure you tell people that yeah he he requested specifically shouted out the commissioner have susser at the yes everyone knows you like panda express and that you asked us to say you like panda express on the shows on pretty sure someone saw on the street right you think spanish mostly say yes that guy did the mo cap for kung fu panda so so i'm curious about as funny thanks does look like a very similar body examples say funny things often because i feel like mitch was really surprised minute like wait a minute let's does the problem with nick is nick can be funny chooses not to come on the prowl guest stars i think he's just trying to get it over with this as best as you have some bullet points to hit say funny things do a joke around today we do i know i know see this is an example but he's not having fun again media hostile is that just say safe honey you're funny you piece of shit regards say i buck in love peace shit we we were we were we had an argument like this earlier today basically not about being funny but i was saying i was calling you piece of shit over and over again it's fine each other we're friends fuck off love you bitch you're great dude i don't think you've said that the natalie before having said to my wife i love you buddy you're you're good do not said that so so penned express it and you you gave us some some options for places to discuss christel and and we partly because of time constraints we we settle on band express because it would be efficient to get but gave me a hard time for post my in that i didn't get no it was fine we just everything came together quickly so we haven't it's fine i'm not trying to give you a hard time fuck you i'm curious to why why panda express was a was a place that you especially someone you're saying that you haven't you didn't have chinese food until you were eighteen like what is your connection to this chain i just have a list of places.

"Do you remember any of that australian birthday song day day it's birthday have a law like walker of a day impr you don't like when someone you know in someone they they do something they they wanna show you what they worked on and they're so proud of it and the owners were so route there were so proud of this song and you just had to tell them how great it was because you're like oh you wrote that like whoa what prince pretty cool like the the franchise owners were really taken initiative if they wrote their this wasn't like something that came down from corporate their own version like eager beaver insane yes it's a little too much because we're all i look albatross in our life i guess we created a cast the help create a theme song we've done just as embarrassing things i guess with our show yeah hey you know we're and we'd love to be as successful outback steakhouse for sure that say that's the dream you guys are the blooming onion podcast what they say yeah i think so say it once you're done with us you'll feel sick matola it's kind of in the way that i know it's bad for me but i'll do it anyway first little bit is like all right and then like a like a little bit later like look that's all order it and i get so excited i'm like fuck yeah blooming onion here i go halfway through it i'm like cry like why did i do fell even still now after working there you're still you're still a fan of it your kids what's your what's your order well i start with the blooming onion at home with but you know usually a blooming onion i will take a big beer of whatever maybe a fosters and the person if they ever ask do you want the big beer like of course i do i do i do that and then i do the basic like i want to say it's like maybe the nine ounce sirloin super super rare with broccoli loaded baked potato with no sour cream and then yeah this sour cream is a very foreign thing for me sour cream so like mexican food does not have our cream the legit mexican food does not have our guys i guess yeah i guess you're right i mean you know it's like my mom grew mexican village with no air conditioning oil atrocity no water never knew what's our cream was until she came to the states so that's yes and a lot of mexican places you go to in in the states like sour cream is included by default yes thing yeah absolutely you're taking your word fried i didn't i truly did not know that that is that that's yeah i mean you know there's certain variations and stuff but like for me i actually compare the mexican food that i grew up with actually i compare to indian food okay a lot of the mexican food that i grew up with was was street food it was for poor people working class and a lot of areas in mexico the area in mexico where my family's from there's no refrigeration so when you know when we were there so they were very limited on what we can have so it's a lot of potatoes a lot of like vegetables meats you know i always tell people that i was vegetarian 'cause it's nicer than saying we were four yeah yeah no meat noisy i'm out of there that is a big big thing of beef in them in front of an air conditioner here fred flintstone stone fred flintstones in with the jetsons most cool ac that the coolest jetsons can have yeah you're like you're like fred flintstone but with rosie the made from the jets blowing cold air on you do that but now i'm going to say that she did do it rozier rosie blew cold air out of her mouth shares there was an episode all everything went like everything goes and jetson world right everything they were very they were very high up in the air the jetsons right no one ever felt right like that's never really like thing people never really now i'm sure like maybe it happens every episode or something in this kid's show but like they never really showed the ground is it like a post apocalyptic is there is there something weird on the ground implication that lay like best been loud city it's just there's some reason why that people have.

"Special christel alonzo lower classes now streaming on netflix christel alonzo they making time for us thank you for having me guys course thing for being here where to sit down and try to get the vibe of you guys because i don't know if you guys like each other doing the doing this podcast community serve that's a great question each other either i'm mad at him now we definitely know each other so there's that if you lose me you lose your friend from one to zero let's talk about the raccoon the grass is inspiring story reminds me a wall in many ways i thought he was very cute like my alley interim they're both in my bedroom i put them away when guests come oh why because they already animals they they'll walk over the table they'll they're they're they're more entertaining than the podcast so you'll look at them and zone out guaranteed understood but what what nice little story it was the raccoon made it to the top but here here's what i say yeah a lot of people here i'm gonna go on my little rats a lot of people wanted this raccoon to make it so bad but then if any of you people are people who don't believe in global warming i think you can't care for the raccoon is what i wanna say that's like an eighty s like how i'm trying to think of all the stack of someone is so is so if they care about animals so much in one singular animal than if you don't care about global warming you don't care about any animals yeah i get what you're saying 'cause it's an environmental i'm saying it was such a big deal on twitter yes it was it was the number one trending topic and i just think that people don't care about animals enough as in their everyday day to day life eventually raccoons especially coons yeah i guess that's true people think of them as like you know like forest trash like there isn't a lot of people think raccoons are there in that class was like possums and coyotes lincoln nuisance but yeah this particular give me i i guess i get what you're saying i mean it's kind of the same point of like how can you love dogs but also be okay with pigs that are raised in factory farms like understand the point eating meat so i'm hypocrite right already off the bat i kinda think it's weird that you went into global warming you couldn't even go into like the cirmac lachlan commercials miscarry for animals and then i talked about the raccoon because the economy it's because animals die because it will warming every day i guess just getting hotter so i was thinking about it you're a single issue voter basically global warming is the one this this is not a this that is one of my that i care about that more than anything right and i care about an animal when i you said that you and evan susser call me tony soprano yes because it's your sweets you're sweet spot on him they care about animals in boston boston yeah i can tell you i've only been in this apartment i've been in this room for what maybe fifteen minutes and i know that you're from boston i know a lot of stuff about your dad where they went to school mascots and stuff maybe you came you were hatched from an egg i don't know where from an egg i wouldn't be fucking rotten egg too by the way i'll come on it would be ron negga with that violet i'm a i'm a normal man who is born the normal way i came home i came i surely believe you wound i surely that's quite believable you know those books and how it happened that's what happened to me the end nick you're still born from an egg oh that's true but i they we all were in that sense but i'm not some sort of a man who was within a shell i know sounds like the new marvel movie so i know you're from texas and i know that that you know you're you have a connection to chain restaurants in a few ways one of which is that you are a server in your hometown at outback steakhouse back steakhouse yes so what is that like what was that like working there imagine this was some time ago week oh wow okay it was very recent flying out to i've gotta make it yes what.
