"What you would recommend the patch those with you want to try and do this yourself? Yes. And are we getting any water through it? One of them is what it has received water All right, like a lot like if it rains do is there a puddle or is it just wet? No, It's just a little trickle, okay? Um There is a You're in pale. Oh, so you got a good ace down there and pay less. Go see my friends over at the Palos Hills or name pillows Park. It can't rember Palos Hills Palos Park. You got a good ace down there There is a there is an a concrete epoxy. And I believe it's it's from the PC, Woody guys, but basically what it is. It's a two tube system. With its a one, too, but they have to. It's a two part system. And then the tip That's on the end of this thing has like a curly. Q that as you squeeze Thea poxy out It mixes the two part of poxy and then you injected. How wide is this crack job? It's just a hairline crack. Mm hmm. Right. So if you want to, if you want in, is it from the floor to the top? What is it? Yeah, I'm pretty much like them. Okay. If you want this to work, you're gonna have to grind that cut that out a little bit. So if you have a Like an angle grinder, which would be the best way to do this is you would take an angle grinder and you would grind out so that I get it least an eighth of an inch deep on this cut. This crack, and now I've created a wedge for that a poxy to go in and then what I would do is once that's clean. Use a wire brush to make it clean. I'm assuming that it's dry now correct. Correct, Right. So start at the bottom and kind of work your way up and force the PSA poxy in. I mean, You got a 50 50 chance of this thing working, right? I mean, obviously, I talked about per Maciel. They come out and do all this crack injection and they guarantee it. But, you know, for the the tube of the pox is probably gonna cost you don't know 12 15 bucks or something like that. It's expensive. It's worth a try, right? And if it doesn't work, But you know if it doesn't work, then they'll come out and grind out what you did if he really drives crazy, and, uh and they'll fix it the right way. And then you know you have a transferrable warranty, which is nice, but Well, when you go there, I think it's PC Woody is the name of the maker, but it may also be The other one, I think is by a company called P L, which is what you're looking for is it's a single tube of cock, but it has two chambers in it. With a screw tip on the end that has that mixes the two parts as it comes out. Okay. All right. All right. Good. Thanks. Little appreciated. I appreciate you promised more. 8772134 Lou 8772134568 Wait a minute. Is this Is this right about this? Is it Jo Brand's birthday coming up on Wednesday? What lives last Wednesday? It was last Wednesday. I know we missed it. We missed it. Joe Friends, are we? This is a big birthday, right, Joe? A decade. No, He stepped out. Right rat. Right is I'm giving him ready. I'm giving them some birthday. Love will have to give him some birthday love later. Will you sing to him later? Absolutely. I have our go to some Is it Do we have to pay royalties for it? We get very sensitive about that here. 8772134 Lou 8772134568. This is Chris, who's in Carol Stream. Hi, Chris. Hello. How are you? I am doing great. What's going on? Well about 20. Years ago, we put a hardwood floor in part of our first floor in a few years later, we actually extended it because we liked it so much. It was annulled. It's an oak floor. Same guy did it? But the second part. The second part, we added, is really chipped in And poor quality, so we don't know if we should stand down or rip that out. I mean, it's really pork. It was it. Is it a real three quarter inch thick floor? It is a three quarter inch It's just not. It's very different from the original, innit. There's nicks and chips and the stain of coming up that Was it? It was a dog. Was it a pre finished floor? It was a raw floor that then got sanded and finished. It was a raw floor that got see ended and finished. Okay. And this is how how old now it's over 10 years. Did you say? Yeah, It's probably 20 years old. The original and the second party. Let s so we're gonna It's definitely time to re finish, especially with the dog. I mean, you you typically you know, with normal activity on the floor. Um, you know, 10 years is kind of where you get to this point where you're like, All right, I got to redo it. We I'll tell you what we just redid. We just re sanded the floors in our house, and it looks so nice when you blend it all together. You know if you've got two different floors from ages mean that, you know you got this original floor that's older and one this little bit newer, even though it's the same type of wood. It it the shading of it just because you know you may have old growth lumber on one floor and the other one's not if you stain the floor. You have a better chance of it, blending together with which then when you put the finish on which I'm, a big advocate of waterborne finishes a supposed to oil I really like this product called bona Cam E. Traffic. It's called and it's in a satin. I'm a satin guy because it's shiny. It's treated shiny enough and and it looks really, really nice and Okay. I think that if they come in, and they sand it all and you get a somebody that knows what they're doing to do it all. You'll be really happy with the results for sure. And everything should blend in pretty well. All right. Thanks. So much for the phone call. Hey, guess what..

"Then they want to defund the police. Me. Me, Jorge Santos. I want to fund the police. I want youto have cops in your neighborhood. I want you to feel safe and secure that your kids are in good hands in a George Santos Republican administration, and you're going to support the president who's endorsed by every law enforcement union. I think that's it. I think women go say I'm with him. I don't care about no AOC. I don't care about no squad no left nothing. I want cops, and that's what women will vote for. If you ask me. You're absolutely right. I'll share this quick story with you that happened in my district have Palos Hills District School district in Dix Hills, honey than in Suffolk County. Had this enormous threat to the school district by Antifa and black lives matter, and it was brushed under the rug by the superintendent of schools superintendent in the entire school board in that district completely brushed it under the rug. I had a lot of moms reach out to me. We put together a town hall we sent some letters were rattling cages. You know why I refused to allow the future of America to be vulnerable to risk. Because of political bias. It can't happen and I want I want to assure that every person watching that I will be the person to support law and order and public safety for every person in my district and across America, and that's largely what the message of the campaign is, and that's I have gained every single police union endorsement. With the exception of one every single one of them in my district endorsement. Just one didn't on DATs. Okay? I still support the officers off that union and and I respect her decision. And, you know, sometimes you just got to play with the powers that be. It is what it is. Right? Isn't that really what the slogan of 2020? Come down. Teo is what it is. But look what we want And for anybody watching anybody's interested you want to know more about. Georgie needs some dough to finish this campaign and style and hopefully win it..

"Dot com. She broke the news this morning. And it expresses dire consequences. If this aid doesn't come. Soon letter was signed by Lightfoot on DH. Looks like about 11 other elected officials, one of which sign it joins us now Gerald Bennett is the mayor of Palos Hills. And he joins us here on Ws. Mayor Bennett. Welcome, Sir. How are you? Great, John. Thank you. How are you? I'm doing very well still alive. So I didn't read the entire letter. I skim through it. But essentially, you say that you being the group who signed the letter way reject claims that such funding is a bailout for mismanaged governments. That is, ah, tough nut to crack. Because that's the way a lot of these bailouts. Bailouts have been painted especially by DC politicians. How do you respond to that? Absolutely, John. Looking thing started, local governments have you know we have been continuing to service our residents of frontline emergency workers both police and fire along with you know the other activities. Operations of the city. Sewer water. You know, we still maintain our Public works system and you know the fact of off what has taken place. The revenue loss for local governments has been huge, You know, close to 25%. Almost fell through the first quarter and for us to know sustainable, essential services. Uh, you know, we're asking for in need, you know, helping assistance. You know, the fed in the first act? Uh, Basically, you understood that and certainly helped out The large corporations, small businesses, families and individuals, and we're asking of local government that were still out there in the streets, you know, trying to provide essential services, and we need help. No Democrats By and large. Pelosi said this again today that she will hold her lawmakers in D. C if this indefinitely through the summer If they have a reasonable chance of cobbling together some sort of deal with the Republicans, especially upon the Senate side, but a lot of people said, Well, we we pushed us out in January, February, March, April and May. But now a lot of Republicans and I'm gonna take this up with Mike Emanuel, after six o'clock are reticent to put more money in the pipeline, especially to state governments who they feel are over their skis financially even before this and similar read that took place in a person in the first of his act. We'll have it out with trying to underwrite some of the state in county costs operation, especially with with the hospitals and example of Cook County, even the Cook County jail, But there was never no never a direct aid or direct help. You know to local governments in that first bill. So it's you know, it's not a bailout. There's not admissibility that I know have been were small, small community, not home world community. We have very limited abilities, Teo to raise that type of additional Akash, too. You know, Dickinson to continue to operate, you know, with it within our budget and believe me, I've been married for 39 years and I've had a balanced budget every year, but I've never been a position which has taken place unprecedented taking place. With lots of revenues have occurred over the first quarter of for this pandemic. So yes, we are. We are in need of some help in assistance in order for us to maintain to keep our police and fire in the streets. What's gonna happen if you don't get a bailout imminently, you know, like like through the recession off away when a lot of us head to reduce our staff and understand that 70% of the operating budgets of most Principalities Involved first responders, police and fire and unfortunately you know you would have to begin which we did back Inn away start to reduce those numbers or furlough both type of first responders on the street, and that's the last thing we want to do right now. Gerald Bennett, the mayor. Palos Hills is here. Have you heard back from any of your will your your rap or your senator? Yeah, way. We've been in discussions on the last three months with both our state senators, your senators and also our congressional delegation. And as you and indicated there was a bill that started in the house. It's It's been stalled there, and we're hoping that somehow some way it's sort of, you know, rather than later the Pepto will be enacted by the Senate, and that really spoke. To come to us. Mr. Mayor, Lightfoot says she's going to have a shortfall of nearly 700 million. Are you comfortable telling us where payloads Hills stands us today? Again? We have an operating budget of about $9 million of which 6.5 million of that goes to up to first responders, public safety. And you know you take a 25% hit on your on your money and you figure out the number of off more that stands in the hole. How in any way we could make that up, especially whether without a Connery that's going to take So a very, very long time to, you know to recover, and we have no idea his office expect this fall is the one that we made up back in the other locked down. Mr Mayor. A Xaveco in over three decades as as a mayor, have things gotten easier or worse. How do you look at this? The political environment? We're living here in 2020. You know what? I honestly never Onda all the years that I've been on. We've been through crisis We've been through recessions. You know, there's been ups ups and downs. But this has really been a tremendous toll and local governments because we want to be out there helping our citizens and our local communities as best we can, and it starts with first responders, and that's really the critical nature of running. Going forward if we can get it from the federal government to maintain a level of service. Well, good luck, sir. I hope it hope it all works out in the end. We appreciate your time here on Double Diaz. Thanks. Thanks for bringing it to the attention of your listeners will take care of Gerald Bennett, mayor of Palos Hills here. Double the less John Dempsey. How many times you've been the man he's deli on the South side. In my life, I would say I've been there about 10 times. Doesn't every politician make it a point to stop by there as Ito eat a corn beef sandwich out, have you?.
