"Pro football talk live joining us now. You want to jump in on this mike. No one of the reasons. I have money wasted waste gambling. I i go back and forth on this too. It's a beautiful mystery. It's what aaron rodgers wants us to bank. He wants to not. No i think the packers specifically the ceo mark murphy doesn't want him to show up. I think he daring him to not show up. I think that's the only way to make sense of that. Gratuitous remark made last week calling him make complicated fellow works. I didn't murphy would rather move jordan. Love save thirty five million dollars in salary and it would give bonus money back from aaron rodgers to worry about in playing for the broncos or anyone else making them look stupid now they can trade him after the season but i think at this point murphy you attach to a lot of type protest. He'd have to say yeah. I'd rather not show up this year. And maybe that. Five knicks aaron rodgers. More determined to show up. But you wanna trade him. Don't you to get something for him so you wouldn't. You wouldn't do anything now. You would wait until after the season. I think at this point you get more. After the season you get more teams to be like man in two thousand twelve ten teams. I easily have ten teams after the season right now. You got the broncos. Maybe the raiders. Maybe the raiders said all the right things about their car but if aaron rodgers becomes available and you're looking at him going to the broncos how did not make a phone call is for no reason to drive up the price the broncos after pay but but after the season when we have another i was gonna say two hundred and fifty six. It's now two hundred. Seventy two games teams will look at their quarterbacks. Gotta get rid of that guy. Oh aaron rodgers is available. Let's get line and try to get you. I'm just trying to understand the timing of all of this. Mike that if you're rogers jimmy rogers side of this that what. What is the endgame for him. This year well. I find it fascinating. Dan guys like james jones. Who played with rodgers. Still talk to rogers. I more importantly talks to them after they do media and say what rogers said think. Rod was little puppet mastery through guys like james jones. He says it's fixable. It's fixable will okay then the fix it. Tell us what it's gonna take to fix it. What does it take. I i don't know and i told you on friday. I think this is a high stakes. Pr battle where each side is trying to make the other side. Look like the bad guy. And i just think right now. Reminders wants to create chaos. What was one of the batman movie. Some men just like a see the world burn you. Think rogers just trying to make the front office of the packers park. It's one thing that he says. He loves everything about green bay. He loves the tradition. he loves the fans. He loves the coaching staff. He loves his teammates. So what if you don't like somebody in management and and if if it is fixable then what is it that needs to be fixed is what i want to know because you can't undrafted jordan love. That's not fixable unless you say we're going to trade him and they don't wanna do that. Here's your poll question for today. Yes or no. Is there someone in management at your workplace that overwhelmingly. Yes and you still show up every day. So it's not a to deal with mark murphy in the locker room and i would advise mark murphy and cuts to avoid the locker room the cracks this year unless they're going to work cops but i just. You're there with your teammates. You're there with your head coach there for the fans i just. The whole thing is is pr driven and who knows what aaron rodgers plots and. That's where he wants. He wants us talking about it and he wants to reserve the right to say. Why are you talking about. But i don't know what the end game is mike. Is he willing to sit out and not play football this year. Does he want to be traded. Like at some point you have to get to now. Let's sit down and discuss what's going to happen here. Is he just going to show up and play football this year and actors. If none of this happened. I thought for a long time that that's what he would do. Does he would show up and basically said what's what's the big deal. Is there a google unaware of weiser. Everyone looking at me and act like it's a media creation because this is our fall on create the template that we react to. And it's our offer reacting to it but i just really truly don't know and i change my mind all the time and i think i am a victim of what he's trying to create. It would be very easy for him to say what he wants how he wants it. He doesn't have to pakistan's get upset with me. Or more accurately aaron rodgers fans get upset with me when i say he should tell people what he wants. No it doesn't have to but when you don't you create these situations where we ended up obsessing over what the guy wants because for whatever reason you won't scream. He's mike florio pro football talk. Live co host with chris simms. You've got what less than two weeks for the veterans to show up two weeks today. What's going to happen with to shawn watson. is he eligible to show up for training camp. This is a great question that has taken a back seat to the aaron rodgers. Drama and nick caserio. The gm of the texans was on radio in houston yesterday and he said the talking points have been for weeks now. They're not saying anything about watson et cetera but at the end of the answer he said as we get closer training. Camp will make the best decision that we can in the interests of the houston. Texas i i think that the texans been and i know that the texas have been hoping that the twenty two lawsuits pending against shawn watson would be settled. Because if they're settled you're able to trade watson and you're able to get a lot for intra that that's the thing that teams are are waiting to have go away if they can properly resolve cases and i've been an advocate of the shots facing the music. Having his reckoning making these twenty two individuals feel like they've got justice had their quasi day in court. Write the check and move on with your life and then he can be traded. There's a possible that texans are going to have to make a decision without the cases being settled. Would you do with the shawn watson as training camp for iraq's you trade him for whatever you can get which is a lot less if the twenty two cases pending or do you let him show because i think he will show up gives me gets put on paid. Leave which people think will happen. Texas have to pay ten million dollars to not play for them this year. So the texans. They have to ask if the case is settled. Do we just take whatever we can get. Bargain-basement deal to trade watts or do we run the risk of pain in ten minutes and the other side of exude and since we're talking about this earlier debt at some point the league. I think ots watson the texans at any team. That would wanna trae for watts to give people an inkling of what they're snagging argue put on paid leave. You know they. They they had.

"This is a relatively new rivalry. I would assume to most fans but the dodgers and padres have been chirpin now for the better part of the last several months stretching back to the truncated twenty twenty season. What was your biggest takeaway. What are people buzzing about in baseball circles after watching this even though the dodgers took two of three highly competitive and at times emotional series thank god their sixteen more of these because guys. This is what baseball should be. It should be filled with great players should be filled with emotion should be filled with highlight plays. It should be filled with excitement. That should be filled with two teams. That do not like each other. Making april feel like october. And and that's what the feeling was this weekend. It wasn't just the quality of the baseball being played. It was the intensity there and its intensity that you just don't typically see in an april baseball game and the fact that they're going to be going head to head again next week and sixteen more times. This season is is one of the exciting things about baseball. I mean you get a chance to have division rivals in particular go against each other. A lot and in while a balanced schedule is more fair. The unbalanced schedule that baseball has allows rivalries like this to really reach their potential. Jeff is this really a rivalry. They'll think about the padres haven't been in this situation in a very long time. I mean they're they're chasing us but is it really a rivalry. Well let's put it this way. It's more of a rational reason. Dodgers giants all right man and baseball is looking for rivalries anywhere. It can get them. And if you're telling me that these two teams that don't really like one another that have great games that are near one another In terms of location and that have stars still constitute a rivalry. I'm not sure what does exactly you know. This is not do carolina. This is not red sox yankees. This is not packers bears but what this is is something. That's berge inning right now. And when one of the people involved is signed to a fourteen years three hundred forty two million dollars deal and the others signed to a thirteen year. Three hundred ninety two million dollars you know making bats gene going to be around a really long time. See this thing to the end and that to me knowing that the best players on each respective team are going to be there for decades plus a lot of the idea that you'd be ramsey competitor for that long to you know we took care of business against them this past. Stand two to one now. He's mentioned sixteen. More these we get them starting on thursday for four. What do you expect to see in the next four games that we play them. Chevy's revealed i think that all of the passion that we saw from padres fans and the beat. La chance and the excitement. That was the packer. Park is going to be doubled at chev as ravine and and i think it's because it's not that dodgers fans look at padres the padres as a threat. I think's dodgers fans look at padre at the padres and the team. Maybe that brings out the best in their team. And i think that was this weekend. It was mookie. Betts catch weather was clayton. Kershaw getting angry and screaming jurickson profar like there was some serious emotion. Going on in those games and as much as the dodgers don't want to admit at the padres are anywhere near their level and and the truth is about your anyone's near offers level I think the dodgers understand too that a team like the padres. We'll bring out the best in them. And they responded. React to that as well. Jeff on one end of the spectrum. You've got the padres and the dodgers on the other end. You got my new york yankees. They've lost five straight as we mentioned before their worst start since the ninety seven season but they got turned around at year in one nine six games in order for the yankees to get. This thing turned around. I know they have to start hitting but what else has to happen in order for them to get this season back on track. I mean they need to things you need to start hitting and they need better starting pitching outside of of garrett cole Corey kluber as nothing. Good so far jameson. Tie has been yes so for Not even there anymore hasn't been good. It's been cold kind of jordan. Montgomery and really good both but it is the hit the best here right now is the backup catcher gus. Yoga offensive numbers right on the new york yankees and the yankees are so bad. James retired Concern we all right and you look up and down the lineup and your life. This team should be better. But giancarlo stanton 176 quick fraser's hitting once said haixing hitting one sixty flavor tour tours one ninety six It's just not good team right now. I will say this. I think when it's all said and done the yankees are actually going to be if not at the top of the standings in the american league east very close to there. It's not like they're five and ten record is backed up by a miserable run differential. They've only been outscored by nine runs. Tens knocked evil five games under five hundred after fifteen. So i think this is all gonna even out. And i think they're going to be all right. I'm i'm not anywhere. Clue adequate with the yankees get bought up the starting pitching. What point do people start to criticize. Brian cashman for not being more aggressive in the off season because he took some huge swings would bring it over corey. Kluber and jameson tie known injury. History that those guys have had the last couple of years when people start looking at cashman sideways when it comes to starting pitching not being fortified or dress. The way that a lot of fans would have liked to have seen this past offseason. Oh i with fans and with people. It's happening already I think it's premature I i'll be honest if if baseball could start on april first and i didn't have to say a word about the sport until may fifteenth. It would make my life much easier. Because i you know. I spend like the first six weeks of the season saying. Hey don't panic. Panic panic attacks small sample in the middle of the season. If the yankees had fifteen games it wouldn't make much of a difference because they got off to a great stuff in every team has blips up teams just have lips at the beginning of some pictures particularly those coming off of injury. Take a little while to get back. And it's not until word about the forty or so gay mark. Where i feel like i can look at a player and say okay. This may be what we've got right now and if kluber tions continue struggle point then i think the criticism to brian. Cashman may start to do that. Until then it just feels like when limit bit early in the process and it's been went there to be cashing those those and jeff. We gotta run but real quick instead of the passive aggressive take. What is the passing aggressive. Take.

James sixteen five two Jeff cashman fifteen games next week Brian cashman Tens five games two teams Three hundred ninety two milli Kershaw nine runs Cashman Montgomery thursday ramsey three hundred forty two millio

Put Me to about an hour and a half two hour workout Because I had played in the Rose Bowl and eat y you know they had the third pick in the draft and he wanted to see if I if I could you know still move and stuff and towards the end of the workout you know forces still pretty intimidating to the head coach us about forty years old about six five about you know. He had that southern drawl got up that so towards the end of the dam will be a pass rusher. He just wanted to react. You have to understand at Sei. We had Hudson. How could offensive line coach? And we're on the cutting edge. We started using our hands and punch it and using a there. When it really wasn't the thing that Lineman were doing so we just drilled and trust we were punching and using our hands on their forget Forsberg lined up on the outside and you take out that came inside my reacting. Just react my reaction. He had his Co. chest panel both of my arms my hand in his chest parks and the first the first thing that hit the ground was the back of the head thinking. Oh my goodness I would. I reach bill coach. I am so sorry. And he's laying there half days. He looked up and he goes all right and I knew that with all good couple months later. They've picked me with the third. Pick in the entire drafts. Good to me. I thought I was. I was a done deal. No not going to be drafted by them for that. Knocked him on the ground but hope I think that helped out with the workout and he put me through and You know wasn't just kind of our sweating. I'm an hour and a half charges. I mean he was drilling me and put me through stuff and but that was a sign like that has not energy can lift both the POB the punch so that would be my My story of my pre of Bengals story before they actually drafted me and then of course had a chance like I play for you is with the force and then Sam was my second head coach. Eight years with Sam and the guy was just phenomenal. I get the quick about jam is rookie with the same year. Ruia rookie left hand big blonde left-handed quarterback and we're up in Cleveland and can Anderson was hurt and that was the first week one of the first week at Tam. Weiss had put two extra lineman then and move in another lineman out too. The tide imposition. We had the report Goldline Short Yard. We had a goal line formation that he called the weeping formation. Because when we get to that formation we'd be scored that was great with names and formations and the boomer had a lot to do with it. But that was the first week that kind of H. Back and I was a primary Steve on the past place believing that they would fan would never call that play. Primary receiver was often vitamin myself. While we're up in Cleveland were down seven hundred ten. We had person at the one with seven seconds. No timeouts and he called that plate rookie quarterback rookie head coach. And they're gonNA throw to an offensive Lineman to tie the game and I'm thinking this guy does not want to coach the NFL very long calling this it and then my my neck was better because Cleveland. If I don't of course boomer toes me. The pass in the ankle might end zone. I catch it up going to overtime and Jim Bridger. Ones WITH WILLIAM. We go home winters. Twenty two thousand seventeen Dow padding my first experience of stands. You know. His Grit is Is Cutting this and just you know his all out. Let's get after it. No law pence attack offense and just what we did was so much fun and that was by Sam. Wash Samden really liked back down from from anybody and And that right.

"Up to coffee anybody. Need more coffee. Cafe call a serious delirium. Well, there you go and also the four H checking in on the Kuyper rejoined, and this is interesting. The Latin jazz again, you guys familiar with this artist, adventure and Anderson pock interesting Packer park. I actually heard it is album. Once I thought it was great. They said that that's the track. It's called am I wrong. So it's a current hip. Hop track. There you go. Okay. I was mistakenly calling it Latin jazz accidentally bumped into his album, apple music, the we're up at up on the coast bump into an music and said for you recommended for you as you listen something else, I give you a recommendation, I hit it. And I was like, man. This sounds really good. I'm glad this person hit me back his profane almost asking because you and the kids you said you've had that problem. Big problem. Not profane is is it Kelly K H L I D Kelly. He's not profane. Incredible. Right. When you find an artist nowadays is not profane. You wanna stop the stop the car on the road and have a party, man. It's incredible. So anyway, little bit more on the basketball because we've got Ron Adams coming up at eight thirty and Fitz at nine did you get a lotta Jaanus last night to did you watch that. Game to watch the bucks game. He they looked. So again as Marcus said, and this is worth repeating they were playing the pistons. So keep that in mind, but still you could see like what they're bringing dude they're bringing team ball. They're bringing a lot of energy bringing a great homecourt advantage. And then there's Janas forty-one points last night. Murphy every time he went flying through the through the painting, monster stuff and other bucket. I was like who who's gonna stop this guy? Yeah. Nobody really I mean Klay Chris Middleton eighteen so here's their starting five Chris Middleton unison teddy Kupa forward brook. Lopez is still doing it. Effectively and your guards are sterling Brown. Eric Bledsoe count. Those guys out either coming off the bench leading in minutes is the old noting Pat cannot and then you go George hill. Nico Ameritech and your son Ilyasova. I confess DJ Wilson. Tim frazier. Tony Snell, Malcolm brogden out with right foot plantar fascia. But that's it's funny. Because I I just read ten guys you how many stars on that list? Chris Middleton all star. But he's not he's not a well known all star. It's pretty much Tennakoon. The no names it is with respect to Middleton. But Brooke Lopez's sterling Brown. I mean, Bledsoe compla-, obviously in hell, they swept the Detroit Pistons, they got an MBA best sixty wins. I mean, this is a team. This is a team, that's certainly legit. And I look for I look I look forward to watching them play the Celtics. I really do. I think they can beat them. I think they can beat Boston fits yesterday when you were gone said that he views the two semifinals as the best series in the playoffs. Right rockets anticlimactic maybe after these which not not really 'cause you're still climbing the mountain but for the casual fail to match ups in Bali. I knows right there with me. The what are you gonna be on? That is the nineteen Ninety-four NFC championship. Ten x more important juice than the nineteen Ninety-four Super Bowl. I'll take that in the shark shake that stuff. I was there. And I'll say that was for all intents purposes, the Super Bowl in ninety two ninety three and ninety four all three of those years that NFC championship. Those are the two best teams football. Yeah. Would you say the same last year warriors rockets Western Conference final vs warriors NBA for sure sure you get these? It's disappointing this in the semis. Although Charles Barkley would tell you Portland's gonna come out of the west. So when it all in can look, really good. I've I've been very interested in that series. And I wonder I just wonder about you know, what okay see can do because maybe they're just Atta gas. I'm starting to think. Okay. See a little bit. Well, who knows they played tonight? We'll see what they do. I'd love to see him. Keep this thing going don't they played four tonight. Right. You still got Toronto has to take care thirty. This is you're right. This is a busy lineup Orlando. Toronto at four Brooklyn. Philly at five six thirty is San Antonio at Denver. And then finally the nightcap. Okay. See at Portland. Yeah. Yeah. The all good ninety five bogut nights is cool. And all but have you heard a song called hunters is? Yes town, maybe should play it. Yeah. You guys want Rory. Murphy sings that around the house, ROY gets you clap and ready. Do.
