I'm on a bunch of pop culture podcasts this week. Did a rewatchables on Monday night. We did Black Hat. Also was on the Big Picture. We did a big Denzel Washington movie draft. I got way too competitive. And then on Wednesday night, Amanda Dobbins and I on the Prestige TV Podcast, we broke down the first two episodes of season three of The Morning Show. The most ridiculous show on television, not just this year, but every year it's on. It just wins the title automatically. If they had a ridiculous show category at the Emmys, they wouldn't even have any of their nominees. I mean, maybe winning time would get nominated. I don't know. But Morning Show just clears it out. What a batshit, crazy, ridiculous show. Wow. It's really like they created a podcast thing so we could just break down the morning show. That's really, I think, the real reason behind podcasting in general. Coming up on this podcast, Million Dollar Picks and a little Vikes Eagles at the top. And then editor at large at the Ringer, Brian Curtis, who was also a giant Cowboys fan, comes on and talk about the Cowboys. Could this be the year? Keep saying that, but could this be the year? And we talked some NFL stuff. We talked some sports media stuff. We talked about documentaries and just all the stuff that happens when Brian Curtis comes on. Oh, we talked about Joe Buck and Troy Aikman as well, who have hit a really interesting milestone as a combo. So that happened. And then Kevin Hench, my buddy, the Red Sox fired their GM today, and we couldn't resist spending 20 minutes recapping. One of the four -year oddest, strangest four -year runs the Red Sox have ever had. And we're still in the middle of it. And I still don't understand why Mookie Betts isn't on the team but also like, man, since the 2018 World Series, the Red Sox have just been a hot dumpster fire. And I say that knowing that they almost made the World Series two years ago, but when you look at everything that happened, wow. So Hench comes on and talk about that. It is all next. First, our friends from Pearl Jam. ["Pearl Jam Theme Song"] All right, I'm taping this part of the podcast. It is 11 .31 East Coast time. East Coast Bill is here. East Coast Bill is in Boston. I was visiting my daughter and doing some other stuff. And Thursday Night Football came on and I thought it would be a great idea to do the top segment after Eagles Vikings. East Coast Bill fell asleep at halftime. It was a new record for me. I guess I'm old. I have another birthday coming up this week. This is why I live on the West Coast because I talk about sports for a living. And East Coast Bill gets a little sleepy when the game is kind of boring and plodding along. So East Coast Bill missed some time, had to catch up, had to do a little rewind. Fortunately, there's so many commercials. I was able to still watch anything, but the Eagles beat the Vikings. They're now 2 -0 on the season. And I would say it's an uninspiring 2 -0. They probably shouldn't have covered against the Pats. They could have lost. This game they win, they don't cover. I guess on the good side, the DeAndre Swift, they traded like a 15th round pick in 2038 for them. And this little way they put together their offense where they load up on wide receivers, they hit the jackpot with hurts, and then they just say, you know what we're going to do? Just grab running backs because there's 98 of them every year. We're just going to grab two and pay nothing for them. So offensively, they look great. Defensively, you saw it last week with the Pats. The Pats were able to throw it on them. Mack almost had 300 yards in the last three quarters of that game. This game, Kirk Cousins, over and over again, heroically going for the cover, finally gets it. The Vikings cover, they don't win. Home team's now 5 -12 against the spread this season. Underdogs are 10 -7 against the spread. But for the most part, not allowed to report, the Eagles just state. They messed around in the first quarter and then said, screw it, and ran the ball down Minnesota's throat. I was thinking, Eagles, Cowboys, if you were going to make a combined over or under for wins for them, and I gave you 26, would you go over or under 26 wins combined for the two teams? They're 3 -0 right now. I would probably go over, especially when you look at the NFC and you think Philly, Dallas, San Francisco, lock those three down. I like Green Bay, Detroit, maybe New Orleans, Atlanta, and maybe that's the seven for the playoffs. And then you have Tampa Bay and the Rams. Who knows what was real and what wasn't real. Tampa Bay beat Minnesota by three in week one. We're like, oh, Tampa Bay, that's interesting. But now Minnesota's 0 -2, maybe that doesn't even matter. Rams, who knows? I mean, they just have so few good players that the moment two of them get hurt, it feels like their free fall will happen. So the NFC is already kind of uninteresting, I guess is my bigger point. Unless the Giants can rally, and who knows after the 40 -0 debacle last week, they're playing Arizona this week, so they looked out of that. But for the most part, it seems like three good teams, maybe the Packers, maybe the Lions, maybe the Saints, and then we're going to have a really bad seven seed. So if you're Minnesota, and you're looking at 31 of 270 teams started 0 -2 and made the playoffs since 1990. 31 out of 270. I can't do math, but that's not good. If you're Minnesota, at what point do you consider trading Cousins? Cousins was all over the place on the internet this week as a possible Rogers replacement. He makes 35 million this year, that's it. The Jets, I think, could do some chicanery if they wanted to. They have this thing where the Packers, it's a conditional, I think second, that turns into a first, but the Packers would have to waive the right for the condition. Clearly, Rogers is going to play 70 % of the plays, but still, they'd have to figure out some way. But if you're the Jets, could you somehow trade for Cousins and save your season? We're going to find out a lot about the Jets this week against Dallas. They get annihilated and they're one -on -one for the season, but annihilates Dallas them and they have to look at their offense and go, all right, we have a really good team. What are we going to do? Is it Jacoby Brissett or do we swing big and try to get Cousins for a year? Cousins has over 700 yards and six TDs in the first two weeks. He's been a fantasy god. I don't know how that plays out. I wish it was like basketball where I could just put stuff in the trade machine and see if it's going to work. For some reason, we made football trades more complicated than basically anything on the earth. I have no idea how the Jets would trade for Cousins, how it'd work, what the mechanics of it would be. What's he worth? Is he worth a first rounder for one year? Is he worth a third rounder? You just never know. Again, DeAndre Swift went for a 15th rounder in 2038. Cousins, I have my eye on because if you're Minnesota, you're not good. You were completely lucky last year to go 13 and four, whatever it was. Now that's evened out and maybe you start looking around and going, all right, let's pack in this year. I don't know what would have to happen, what number they would have to get to. Would they have to be one and four, one and five, one and six? But Cousins to the Jets, it's a fun talk radio topic, at least. We're not doing talk radio here. We're doing sleepy sports podcasting, but Cousins to the Jets has always felt right. It's always felt kind of perfect. He always just felt like a Jet waited to happen at some point in his career. The Jets fans listening to this right now are like, how can he keep doing this to us? We just had the Rogers thing. We had Zach Wilson. Now you're gonna throw Cousins at us. But again, Cousins, a little bit of a turnaround. He was in that Netflix show. He's kind of the big winner of quarterbacks with Mariota being the big loser. But I feel like the tide's turning on Cousins. Even Primetime Kirk today, always a disaster, gets the cover. Who knows? Put him in New York. We'll see. Philly's got, they're just basically have to figure out what their team is. They've already had a bunch of injuries and they even had a little AJ Brown, Jalen Hurts. Who knows what happened on the sidelines there, but didn't look awesome. But they have two months here to figure out their team. They're a big stretch. Week nine, Sunday, Dallas, that's home in Philly. Bi -week, week 11 at Kansas City on a Monday night. Week 12, Buffalo home. Week 13, San Francisco home. And week 14 at Dallas. So again, Dallas at KC, Buffalo, San Francisco at Dallas. And that's gonna be the five game stretch that determines are we a one seed? Are we a two seed? What is our season gonna look like? And they just have to get there. They have to stay healthy and they have to get to that point. So not a lot of lessons from Philly, Minnesota. Do I regret staying up? Although I guess I didn't stay up because I got this little nap in at halftime.

Live From Studio 6B
Fresh update on "packers" discussed on Live From Studio 6B
"Alright live from Studio 6B on a Monday. New month. October is here. Slick Rick's gonna do some news. Lots to talk about. Harry on the highways in the building. Aaron and Fran holding it down as always. And of course you live from Studio 6B audience. New week. New month. Hope everybody had a great weekend. We were off Friday. I was off Thursday. Thanks to the great David Zier for sitting in for me on short notice. As always appreciate that. So I feel like I haven't been here in a long time. Slick Rick how are you? Fantastic big day. How was your weekend? It was terrible. Oh why you ask? Why? Well I'll tell you why. Because if there's one sporting event in the world that I almost paint my face red white and blue that's how much I'm into it. As you know Slick Rick and I know you know what I'm about to say. Is the Ryder Cup. It's the one event in golf. There's a lot of events in golf I love being a golfer my whole life. But the Ryder Cup is is the event that I look forward to and root as hard as you can root for the American team especially as they flip-flop home and away home and away when they're away in Europe for the Ryder Cup. And your favorite player of all shine. And this was an unmitigated disaster for the US. But first let me say David Zier how are you? I'm wonderful thank you so much for asking. What's under Marxist leftist assault? New York. New York is crazy. Washington's not far behind. Check. Is there anything new? Another day that ends in Y. Mayor Adams is going to Mexico City we should revoke his. Yeah. Oh the white shirt. I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm hearing something in my ear. Is that going to air Fran? No. Oh it's not going to air. Okay that's Harry on the highway. The white shirt is black is blaring. Harry of course comes in and takes over the microphones talking to us. White balance. If you were at least going to air Harry that'd be better so people could hear you. Yeah yeah well anyway EV mandates are here for trucks we'll get into that if you want. Great. You know. Fantastic. Takes away 20% of the cargo weight of a truck that's good news for the truckers. All right so we're gonna get into all that. David Zier's got a bunch of news he wants to get into. Slick's gonna have sports but just to get back to what I just and then we'll get into. We'll get into Gates and all this nonsense and then McCarthy and it's it's this is a cut we'll get into all of that what's going on motion to vacate is on the floor okay rah rah rah great we'll get into all of that how we got here and what the real real problem is here it's not Gates and it's honestly not McCarthy it's this whole damn party that that's really the bottom line so we'll get into all of that and how we got here and some of the things maybe you didn't know that happened you know I I said to somebody this weekend when all this was going down if you're at the table in your short stacked and you have seven deuce offsuit for those of you who play poker you know it's gonna be harder for you to be the bully at the table then if you have got you know 70% of the chips in play and you've got aces every hand you know then you can bluff and and bully and do these things and here we are with a four-seat majority and all along what have we talked about on this show we have talked about the fact that you actually have to get to the shutdown you have to get to the shutdown and with a four-seat majority how much are you gonna be able to do without eventually playing into McCarthy's hands and have him turn around and work with the Democrats which is not exactly what happened but pretty damn close pretty close to what we talked about but before we even get to that because this is gonna be a night of basically drawing the distinction between the Democrats and the Republican Party as a whole because that's really we're pretty much screwed with the party that we have now it's just it's just a fact but just to just to draw the distinction let's talk about California for a second so what happens in California Diane Feinstein passes away last week I guess on Friday was it Friday yeah I saw the news or Thursday Friday whatever it was now California is obviously a huge state and you'd have to figure it's it's California's become a you know leftist progressive utopia over the last years and of course slick slick Newsome running the show and everybody's talking about him and how he's gonna worm his way into the presidency and whatever he gets to a point this person in the to replace Feinstein so you look at you look at California and you got to think well there's got to be a lot of up-and-coming Marxists in the state Senate state legislature some government body there in California that he can go to House members whoever well Gavin Newsom goes to someone that wasn't elected to anything in California as a we can tell she's registered to vote in Maryland didn't she scrub her Twitter page she did today so he appointed a quote first of all black female because that was if you're gonna check the boxes on what she had to have it wasn't you know good legislative history it wasn't smart it wasn't black female check black lesbian female okay we're about to get the box number two does that seem you know kind of random black woman who of course he promised the point that's not even from California so why do you pick her of course that brings us to box two not only she a black female she's a lesbian activist so now we have two boxes checked and that brings us to of course box three which is she's a rabid abortion activist she's the head of Emily's list which is the biggest pro abortion organization that the left you know is in bed with or whatever so this just draws the distinction between the Republican Party and the Democrats the Democrats will get whoever serves their purposes the most on the issues that matter to them the most at the time they matter and they will do whatever they have to to get their biggest activists their biggest player for whatever they're trying to tackle they'll do whatever and wherever to get those persons in those positions the Republicans would never do something like this the Republicans would never make a move like this abortions hot what does he do goes out and gets a black lesbian abortion activist who's not even a Californian to put in this Senate seat which is a hugely powerful seat and she campaign advisor to Kamala Harris they take their best fighters at the time they need them for the issues they need them for and do whatever they have to to get them in position to fight for what they want the Republicans just don't do it they just don't do it you'd never see something like that as we face every existential crisis known to man coming at us border inflation debt biomedical tyranny judicial tyranny all over this country so do you mean that the left always puts the most hardcore person up and we don't we always put a moderate they they put what they put whoever the most vicious yeah killer to attack issue they think they can leverage to win because when we started 2023 what were the Republican leverage points that we had we had to we had the debt ceiling and we had the September 30th deadline that we knew was coming for the budget that was the leverage Republicans had heading into 2023 correct everybody knew that this is your chance to not give the American Express black card to the Democrats again with no limit decide what you're gonna fund decide what you're not gonna fund and use your leverage points to get what you want and what's amazing about where we are is that in all of the times on this show I've talked about these debt ceilings Pelosi and Schumer rolling McConnell rolling McCarthy rolling who ever was in charge they always got their ass kicked all over the place always but in previous years they always had the leader of the party whether they were in control the White House or not had the ability to actually help them in messaging and now we're in this fight with a president and leader of their party who can't put a complete sentence together is half dead is half comatose every single day not even there to help them fight this fight and yet the outcome is still no different still no different so you can't fight on a party that it's extremely disliked a president that is extremely disliked on issues that the American people favor your position on most and they couldn't even fight for 24 48 72 hours past the deadline for government shutdown they were more scared of the actual shutdown than they are of what's going on at the border what's going on it with inflation what's going on as everything that cripples your life that's crushing your existence that's crushing your Liberty no they're not scared about that they're scared about all but the the the the deadline to shut down the government we couldn't even get to a government shutdown which has been the point I've talked about for you have to get to the shutdown which is why Chip Roy who clearly saw this coming a mile away and Byron Donald's had put together to start an 8% credit cut across the board and catch and release some other border provisions as at least a point to say here's our jump-off point here's what we're gonna stand behind we're gonna pass this and send it to marble mouth and let him pressure would it have mattered that Democrats didn't have the Democrats have to say in an election year are we gonna are we gonna work we're gonna be responsible for this shutdown right now are we gonna be responsible for saying no no no we don't want to secure the border at all yeah I think one by the way before you before you go on the word on the street is that 8% that they discussed two weeks ago not got shut down went to 30% yeah on Friday afternoon I saw it because that's what they had promised back in March and they said let's do it 30% cut I saw that but you know again in the end does it do anything my my concern is that I don't care if the government shuts down let us shut down when new gang rich which surprisingly you know was ripping apart Matt gates because new Cambridge shut down the government and we got the largest tax crease in cuts up until that point in the history of America the economy took off like a rocket ship in 1996 I'm in the building industry for 35 years I watched it it happened and also they got Clinton to balance the budget over it but I just wanted to add Ben Burquam on the war room tonight if you didn't catch it go online and watch the segment with Ben because you know they he was on fire that they should all walk out of Congress just over the border situation but anyway that's that's why that's why they discussed using the border as a jump-off point it was easily understandable by the public it was something that every almost every you would think everybody in the in their caucus even the mainstream Rhino caucus and if certainly the Freedom Caucus would have been on board with you throw in an 8% cut for the 30 45 days and say this is our jump-off point it's not this is not what we want we know this is not going to be signed but this is our jump-off point in the house here you go let Schumer and them say no we don't we're not gonna do this let them be responsible for the messaging but we could never get there all right a lot more on this and some of the other things that happened this past weekend and the real question is when is enough enough for the Republicans all right 17 past the hour live from studio 6b we'll do some sports and news here in a second so just to finish these first thoughts so I was away for two days and all this was going down I mean I have no confidence that in 45 days anything's gonna be any different and I just I just don't know how how much worse does it have to get like where do we have to get to that the Republicans can actually unify behind some messaging is there any amount of people across the border is there any amount of inflation is there any amount of our Liberty be taken away that the Republicans can unify behind positions and you know how unify behind messaging at the actual time that it actually matters like how lives have to be destroyed how many people have to be targeted how much how much does the Trump family have to deal with how much degradation to your way of living does there have to be political targeting of opponents of Americans j6 or like how much is there anything that will elicit a unified response from the Republican Party is the question that I would ask myself tonight what if the you know the Freedom Caucus and the conservative people who claim to be more conservative what if they're not happy with what the Republicans are doing there's no fight in the mainstream Republican Party I think in normal times I could be down with that argument you have a four-seat majority you have to play the hand at some point you have to play the hand you're dealt you could argue that what Gates is doing and I always say what do I say about Gates he's always on offense he's sometimes the only one but you have to be somewhat pragmatic about what you can get at the time what do you have right now you have 45 days of Biden's agenda still fully funded with not a single concession I think the left you've lost the plot my friend I think the left wants to annihilate our country they want to flood the country with the Legals they want to tear it all down and that's their that's their end game so you know the Republicans are complicit in it by not taking tougher stands you know so I understand what you're saying I honestly don't even think it's like one it's not even about gates it's not even about McCarthy it's about the party as a whole it's not even about one person yeah I dare say it's not even about marble mouth it's not about one person when you look at this party when you look at where we are is there anybody that thinks in 45 days this is going to be any different now he's put a motion to vacate on the floor I don't think he's gonna get 218 votes and he admits that he says he probably won't get it on the first time around so maybe they'll come to a consensus by then you know maybe they make gains maybe gates makes gains and they come out swinging after that right I mean it's always worst before the dawn right I don't know I think the gates is doing us any favors right now with the way he says but I also don't think like if he was out of the picture that we would be like sailing off to conservative utopia either I don't think that's I don't think that's the case either right that's what I'm saying I don't think it's about one person at this point with the party it's the whole party as a whole it's bigger than I don't know what we can do about it I don't know I don't know if we can do anything about it even if we dig in our heels unless they say I'm not coming to Congress anymore and we're gonna shut down the government for good until we fix the border you know and other things I mean we're being destroyed like we are being destroyed right now there's one thing you can say in past years Republicans have never had the people on the inside to fight the fight now we have people who are willing to fight the fight but they're not part of it right yeah exactly but no one now we have the outside not paying attention most people are not paying attention to what's going on the 104th Congress you know in the Republican Revolution did make dramatic gains it was a special time in our history and in the end you know people like Scarborough it's a total jerk you know was part of that Republican Revolution but they got a lot done right in the beginning they got a lot done and you know I don't know I feel like the civil and criminal courts are controlled by leftists and Marxists I feel the federal government is controlled by people who want you dead they want us dead they don't want us around and you know we're in the fight for our lives so you know I just it just bothers me that there's gonna be like you know negotiating you know I don't know what to do I don't know what to do but you know we're all getting hurt we're all getting hurt and people can't pay their bills right now does anyone does anyone think in these 45 days that McCarthy can get eight appropriations bills with actual key priorities that the Republicans say they are gonna stand for and actually stand in unity before the what we should have been doing in August when we went on recess which is part of the problem mrs. Warren McCarthy screwed us again not only to screw us on the debt ceiling he screwed us on this too why weren't we doing this in August putting the 12 appropriations bills together and then again say here's what's the messaging here's what we're standing behind here's what we're doing we're ready to go for September 30th we're ready to go we're passing this and here you go Senate I look at it like when you read the news the mainstream media and they say gates is bad I feel like he's doing something right but I also agree with what you're saying you know I get it but you know they want it they want to demonize the right yeah all right we'll do more on this more news with David dear let's do some sports though and here with that is slick Rick Rick Amorani sports brought to you by Mike Lindell if you didn't see Lindell today on war room I shared the clip on our social media and it's just a constant he's just another one it's just how much just a constant attack now he's getting audited there's five or six audits going on now all of a sudden at my pillow if you didn't see it it's on our social media check that out but Mike Lindell sponsor sports LFS XP is the code slick Rick what's going on I big D well before I get to recap the games we have to pick the NFL game on tonight the Monday night game odds makers Aaron and I it's the New York Giants hosting the Seattle Seahawks in MetLife Giants on the move big D they got the ball down around the 30-yard line five minutes into the game so who you gonna take Aaron I'm taking the Giants tonight okay and I'm gonna take Seattle so that makes it interesting I'll take Seattle Seattle's laying two and a half points big D so mark that down in the book and before I get to any of the other odds makers do I do want to get to a story that really disturbed me this morning disturbed my 70s and early 80s football former Pro Bowl tight end Russ Francis dies in a plane crash and we're terrible ESPN report this morning for Pro Bowl tight tight end Russ Francis was killed in a plane crash in Lake Placid New York on Sunday according to family members Francis was 70 Francis and Richard McSpadden a former commander of the US Air Force Thunderbirds rolled hard to the left after takeoff from Lake Placid Airport before crashing according to a NTSB spokesman it was not immediately clear whether Francis or McSpadden was flying the plane Francis was taken by the New York New England Patriots in the first round of the 1975 draft he made three pole Pro Bowls for the team in 1982 he moved on to the San Francisco 49ers he won a Super Bowl there in 1984 and Francis returned to the Patriots in 1987 before concluding his career the following season Pro Bowl career my older brother Russ Francis was just killed in an airplane crash in Lake Placid New York Francis's brother Ed Francis wrote on Facebook yesterday flying was my brother's lifelong passion and perhaps a fitting way for him to go godspeed to you my big brother very sad story a lot of the old 70s and 80s football fans remember he was one of the prototype phenomenal tight ends of his day big day with the Patriots and very sad news and I'll get to a couple of quick scores so odds makers over the weekend Aaron and I we both split we went two and two she won the Notre Dame game do do do did not pull it out in the end and then I had Kentucky over Florida yes she had Ole Miss over LSU and the Colorado bad now Dion kept it close big day 21 and a half point dog and that game turned into a dog fight at the end 48 41 USC Caleb Williams just getting out of Dodge before that game wrapped that was a heck of a game on Sunday and that's a wrap in sports if we get time later I'll get to the NFL breakdown how we did on that I will do some more sports right when we get back and then we'll do some news with David Zier more news on the budget and where we are what we think is gonna happen we're gonna cover Charlie Kirk tonight his first tour stop in San Jose we'll cover that as well in our to live from studio 60 more to do I 30 minutes past the hour live from studio 6p on a Monday night glad you're in new week new month lots to talk about lots to do as I said we're gonna be covering real America's voice is gonna be covering Charlie Kirk is going on on his think it's called live free tour it's a college tour he's gonna go challenge the progressives I think on these college campuses and when he does we're gonna be covering it so any night that Charlie's out there we're gonna cover it whenever we whenever he goes live we will go to Charlie Kirk tonight I think it's gonna be around 930 or so so last half hour of the show you're gonna get Charlie Kirk live from San Jose on the live free tour so we'll keep an eye on that as soon as they take the stage there we will go live to San Jose and bring you that in its entirety so let's do some more sports 30 minutes past the hour since Slick didn't have a ton of time slick Rick sponsored by Mike Lindell and my pillow LFS XP you know how many emails I got today you know what the majority of them were what's the new shirt of the month that was the number one question I got today in the email is what was the new shirt of the month which I will reveal before the end of the show you've already actually decided what the shirt of the month is the audience you did that last month when you picked the did not comply will not comply you know it was second that's the new shirt of the month and it was really close to the winner last month so that's what we're gonna go with slick what else is going on sports all right well listen to this one Patrick Mahomes goal line slide shifts millions at is in in Vegas David Purdum ESPN staff writer Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Holmes slid down at the New York Jets two-yard line sealing a 23-20 win over the Jets on Sunday night a decision that shifted tens of millions of dollars at sportsbooks around the nation the Chiefs closing as eight-point favorites over the Jets and received overwhelming support from the betting public at sportsbooks an hour before kickoff 91% of the bets and 84% of the money wage it on the game's point spread were on Kansas City at Caesars sportsbook met MGM and draft kings also reported heavy action on the Chiefs a Mahomes touchdown an extra point would have put the Chiefs up ten enough to cover the spread with less than two minutes to play he instead made the heady play to give himself up allowing the Chiefs to kneel run out the final seconds and secure the win big day books makers knew early the last week that they need all all the Jets for a big decision in the Sunday night game all week money from the betting public had poured in on the Jets who opened a nine-and-a-half point road favorites over the Jets yet some big bets from sharp bettors caused the line to move in favor of the Jets in the hours ahead of kickoff Caesars reported taking in a $350,000 bet and a $240,000 bet on the Jets plus eight and a half on Sunday yet still had lopsided action on the Chiefs somebody knew something there big day but the sharp money came in on the Jets and we're still rooting for them Adam pull in this isn't directed the Caesars book said Sunday shortly after the game kicked off the Chiefs jumped out to a 17-nothing lead but of course we know the story the Jets came back Zach Wilson played a stellar game a lot of folks think that the Jets might have got shift you know got the slip down that on that one call that big D little jockey and back and forth between Jets great sauce gardener and the Kansas City receiver skips my mind right now and there was a flag thrown Wow unbelievable so what are you gonna do that's the way it goes and let's just quickly recap the NFL games Aaron and I had picked on Thursday night in advance of Fridays because we weren't on Lions did end up defeating the Packers 34 to 20 therefore I did cover that game we split on that one bills over the Dolphins but blowout 48 to 22 a tug of a low is still looking for his hat unbelievable game there and so that was 48 21 that won the Eagles that was a loss over the commanders minus eight they did pull that game out 34 31 in overtime but they did not cover the Vikings over the Panthers they did cover they won 21 to 13 and we both had the Chiefs beating the Jets they did beat them but they did not win by nine and a half as I just mentioned in that story about my homes and all that money in Vegas big D so for the weekend we were two and two on the NCAA college picks that I mentioned in the last segment and then three and two on the pro so and not such a great weekend there in the NFL I am 21 and 10 on the season right now big day I'm not sure what very impressive your numbers I'm not sure what I think Aaron's 500 that's fantastic too yeah I think I'm just about 500 15 and 15 about fantastic good from both of you so far yeah no not bad pick so we'll have more picks up we got this Friday we have to show a big day so we'll definitely do that do you want to get into the Ryder Cup or you want to skip that news then we'll get into the Ryder Cup because I have some thoughts to offer you on the Ryder Cup too and our captain so we'll get into that more sports thanks LeCric sports is brought to you by Michael and Dallas do some news news is brought to you by seven cells sitting in for Rick Delgado of course the great David Zia mr. Zia hey what's going on in your world there's a lot going on you know I have a background in real estate so this stuff hits home yeah about Trump I mean I don't have assets anywhere near you know or virtually any assets except a home but listen join a club listen all of this stuff has to get vetted through a bank and as my new friend Mandy Katz says her monarch real estate he's an expert a veteran in Manhattan you know there are appraisals their insurance companies is underwriting the site visits there's comps nobody gives out money from a bank you know as lawyer as Trump's lawyers you know crazy put out today nobody's gonna give you a loan based on you say if you were 3.8 billion if you're really only worth 2 billion so the whole thing's fraudulent but you know as Mandy Katz had he had a great quote with me in our conversation that the iconic Trump organization is going to be chopped up and and they want to get rid of the Trump name and bury it under the streets of Manhattan why is it okay for Jeff Bezos to buy a property in Beverly Hills for a hundred and sixty five million dollars on just a couple of acres that's only 12,000 square feet or why is it okay for him to buy a 10,000 foot home not even in a nicer area than Mar-a-Lago's in Palm Beach Island which is the creme de la creme it's the French Riviera of the East Coast of the United States you know for 68 million dollars for a 10,000 foot house or 12,000 foot house I think it's 10 on just a couple of acres people are selling land on Palm Beach Island and right there for 200 million dollars for two acres for three acres just for the land Mar-a-Lago's 30 acres it's 63,000 feet it's the iconic Marjorie Post family from the famous cereal Empire was built it's this incredible property it's probably worth a billion dollars but also Jeff Bezos bought all these properties in Manhattan 17 million 16 million 80 million 11 Madison Park or one of those addresses you know but they're not as nice as Trump Tower and these other iconic and the Trump brand brings so much to it so we're watching this and it's very very sad because when you buy a Trump brand it's like a trophy asset on millionaire or billionaires row it has meaning and depth to it and the value is arbitrary you know you could say it's worth whatever you want it's only what somebody's willing to pay for exactly which with is what it's worth but anyway I just wanted to get that off my chest it's what it's upsetting to watch because now anybody crazy anybody's can be a target if you're on the right and you're in New York doing business your target yeah it's Banana Republic stuff and it's an that's an insult to bananas to say that that's how bad it is it's ridiculous I mean if anyone's ever bought or sold a house I mean you know what's involved with even just doing that when it comes to banks and it comes to appraisers and it comes to pricing and it comes to what they'll lend you and all you ever anybody who's done basic transactions know how valuations work and how and who they're left up to and I've never in all the transactions I've ever done had some radical leftist judge be a part of it or maybe any decisions about it or give his opinion about it yeah it's it's out of control here this is this is another just trying to put the handcuffs on President Trump so that he has continued money issues borrowing issues campaign issues campaign calendar issues whatever they can do it's just so blatantly obvious and wearing a leftist Marxist takeover of a criminal and civil courts like Giuliani says and it's just the way it is and Latisha James Trump calls her a racist has a history of prosecuting or trying to prosecute white men falsely past the Doyle from the cornerstone Church upstate Cornerstone Church he had a reawaken America tour come to his church she wanted him arrested for domestic terrorism or extremism and the Rensselaer County County County executive won a case I think it was the county executive up there won a case against James she wanted to put him in jail and he beat her you know another way she wanted to go after Cuomo and then run for governor herself this woman I mean it's insane yeah and she doesn't have the intellectual capacity to respect the Constitution there's no one more politically motivated in this country than her no and but it's it's on a grand scale and you know that's where we're at and I got some funny videos for you later and I got a story on time you want to do some we still got time you want to talk about EV trucking really quick yeah you know these EV mandates I just interviewed Mike Kucharski again I interview him a lot he's the head of the largest refrigerator corporate refrigerator truck corporation in America these guys are operating on a shoestring they're already going out of business the mandates the health insurance all the stuff that's going on the crazy laws in California you can't have a truck that's more than 10 years old right now it only costs 180 to 200,000 for a tractor trailer only but these EV trucks they're gonna cost over $300,000 do you know that the batteries there's two 8,000 pound batteries in these trucks they weigh 16,000 pounds now most trucks in the United States only have a gross vehicle weight of about 80,000 pounds on the road because the roads can't take it anything more than that so you're gonna lose 20% of your cargo load now you have to stop now a diesel truck has two 150 gallon tanks plus another diesel tank for the refrigeration up front you only have to stop once on an 1800 mile run you get 1600 to 1800 miles with the electric vehicles the most range they've gotten so far is about 377 miles if I'm not correct and every time you stop to charge you use the power of 200 homes from the grid and it takes 10 hours to charge so good luck getting strawberries from California to shop right on Long Island New York in anything less than a week and it's gonna be devastating for the industry and it only takes 20 to 40 minutes to fill up your truck with diesel and you don't create the torque with EV that a diesel can only diesel and diesel is also non flammable Volvo released the line of electric trucks and they're telling you not to keep them indoors because all your other trucks are gonna burn down so what's going on here are mandates that in some states are going to be in as early as 2030 I think parts of California and some of the ports and these guys are already and this guy Mike Kutarsky from JK JKC trucking it's the largest refrigerator truck company in America he drives a Prius and you know he gets 57 miles a gallon he's not knocking innovation but it's got to be market-fed it's got it can't be can't be pushed or mandated it's got to be market driven I mean so you know either works or it doesn't and he's proponent of even hybrid technology but it should incorporate hydrogen but hydrogen is very flammable as well but that's the only thing that can create the torque for a truck so again they're shoving these things down our throat you can't change the laws of physics and we're gonna destroy an already struggling industry yeah all right we'll do some more news with David zero do some more sports with slick Aaron and Fran holding it down as always on a Monday night live from studio 6b and we'll continue to talk about what is going on within this Republican Party and where we go from here okay we got 45 days we got no concessions we got bond all of Biden's agenda still funded for 45 more days and where do we go from there and what is the crux and the core of the problem with the Republican Party we'll get into that we'll get into some other issues as well including this New York case President Trump what happened today is some of the case gonna get thrown out on statute of limitations we'll talk about that as well and Charlie Kirk in our to buy from studio 6b I 13 to the hour live from studio 6b got an email forwarded to me here came in Damon please why don't you make a public announcement invitation demand that Mitch McConnell come on your show and answer dead serious questions about why he is so quiet about the terrible border crisis I dare you to mention this on air and demand the response from McConnell we never hear anything from him on the border David thank you for the email couple things number one you don't have to demand me just talk about it on air if you've watched this show consistently since 2015 since I've done it or since 2020 since we've been on real America's voice I've talked about Mitch McConnell incessantly hundreds of thousands of times about what a political disaster loser wussy he is he will never go on any true conservative talk show not this one not that I'm putting this show in that realm but he would never go on with Hannity he'll never go on with Levin he would have never gone on with rush he'll never go on with Ben Shapiro he'll never go on with Michael Knowles he'll never go on with Dan Bongino he'd never come on with us he'd never go on with Megyn Kelly he'd never go on with anyone he'll go on MSNBC he'll go on CNN he may go on Fox with maybe Brett Baer back when he had when he had it somewhat together but he will do no true conservative show where he'll get any real questions or pushback ever so it's a it's a moot point and again I understand the frustration but it's a total moot point he'll never do any place that he'll get any serious questions or pushback or not allowed to just you know do that for 20 minutes well no so he won't go on shows where he can't do that so it's it's a it's a moot point he's never gonna come on here for many reasons and most a lot of people won't a lot of people a lot of these Republicans won't go anywhere I want to see a Biden Fetterman and McConnell roundtable that's a no-brainer where they're gonna any serious questions none of them will that's why you see the real real conservatives even like I mean they don't have any guests on their show most of the time very few they don't have guests piled up every night because none of them will go there they want to go where they're loved that's why they you know they want to go on MSNBC it's why they take shots at Trump cuz that make the what do you think Chris Christie's on every damn channel 24-7 for that fat bastard cuz he's taking shots at Trump all the time oh let's get Christie on he took another shot at Trump put him on with Jake Tapper it'll be great get him on the view that'll be great that's what they do so thanks for the email but that's this is not gonna happen so Daniel Horowitz today the right has a problem it's not merely a Mitch McConnell or Kevin McCarthy problem it's a Republican Party problem conservatives will never have leverage to fight the issues that matter in any meaningful way until we find a new home that is the stone-cold truth of the matter before we can move forward we all must face this inconvenient reality on Saturday 82% of Senate Republicans 82% and 50% of the allegedly more conservative House GOP conference voted to continue funding every single odious Biden administration policy including destructive inflationary spending for another seven weeks without a single concession in return in doing so they show that they fear the partial shutdown more than they fear anything else that the government's targeting a government shutdown has not been averted because we now face the ultimate government shutdown indefinitely with no strategy or political vehicle to end it Republicans began this year with the most auspicious potential to block Joe Biden's agenda they had the twin leverage points of the debt ceiling the budget deadline whereby they could have refused to grant Joe Biden any more funding for any of his harmful Marxist policies without serious concessions to the Republicans in many respect Republicans had more leverage than ever before because they could theoretically govern with a simple majority in the house while Democrats needed 60 votes to use their majority in the Senate moreover unlike during the ten years of Bill Clinton or Barack Obama Democrats are saddled with an extremely unpopular president who could not command the bully pulpit during any shutdown fight so of course what happened Republicans in June gave Biden a blank check for the remainder of his term by suspending the debt ceiling until 2025 more time than he had asked for the debt has grown quicker than ever before as a result the GOP's final leverage point was the budget and the anticipation of the border invasion gave congressional Republicans the perfect mandate to fight through a government shutdown yet with both of these leverage points Republican leaders showed us that there is no degree of danger in which Biden can place this country in that would prompt them to engage in any brinkmanship whatsoever they wouldn't even go up to the line and allow a lapse in funding for at least Sunday when most government facilities are closed anyway they fear one minute of temporary funding lapse more than they fear inflation debt illegal aliens and the FBI picking off their political opponents you should shudder to think exactly what it would take to shift Republican leaders attention away from the old paradigm everything we have been through these past few years was evidently not enough it's also shocking how Republicans had no problem shutting down the entire country for months yet they zealously clamor to avoid one minute of a partial federal furlough over a weekend what's clear is nothing has changed about this party since the era of Trump began not among leadership not among the overwhelming majority of rank-and-file members if they can't even fight for a few days into a government shutdown over issues like the border inflation debt against this Democrat president and these Democrat opponents they will never fight for us ever we will now suffer through endless inflation invasion at the border war on our energy war on our freedoms political persecution with zero backstop in sight there was quite literally nothing Democrats can do that would seem to elicit a unified righteous response from the Republican Party it's not that they don't have values they certainly care deeply about funding Ukraine it's just that you and I are not part of their value system and that really is the main point now that we can't even wait till 2025 to redress any of the aforementioned crises but nothing will change then either even if Republicans win all three branches with such a maniacal degree of fear of a debt ceiling or budget funding lamps Republicans will never have leverage to fulfill a single campaign promise assuming any of those promises are even a little sincere Democrats will always have enough votes in the Senate to filibuster any GOP budget bill GOP leaders have made it clear that they will never allow the government to shut down not even for a day by definition that means the Democrats will always win a budget fight a hundred percent of the time we need not speculate about the future when in fact this is what occurred when Republicans controlled the trifecta of government with Donald Trump as president McConnell as Senate Majority Leader Paul Ryan is Speaker of the House and as I noted earlier this year Kevin McCarthy was the House Majority Leader and shepherded nearly every budget bill through the floor with more support from Democrats than they had from Republicans nothing has changed from then and nothing will but it's worse than the political math at the federal level in more than 20 states Republicans enjoy control of all three branches with filibuster proof majorities why is it we can barely find Republicans outside of Florida willing to fight on issues such as green energy and illegal immigration they wield dominant majorities in some states to the point where there aren't enough Democrats to populate all of the committees yet Republicans still betray us at some point we have to face the music that the obstacle the reform has nothing to do with the Democrats the Republican Party is the problem more sports news coming up all right hour two nine o'clock on the East Coast real America's voice glad you're in on a Monday October 2nd new week new month lots to talk about lots to do everybody's complaining cuz I'm talking I wasn't here Thursday wasn't here Friday so I got a lot to say Delgado's not here you think Delgado was hosting this show it doesn't matter who's sitting in the seat you complain about whoever's here they talk too much right slick right now always absolutely yeah he gets it I yield my time all night slick right tell Delgado to shut up get right on it Damon talks too much David oh well oh well thanks for watching all right slick's gonna do some sports Aaron and Fran holding it down the great David's here it's sitting in for Rick Delgado who does have a birthday tonight that he's significant family birthday yes significant others birthday so he took the night off David's gonna do some news and we're gonna Charlie Kirk is traveling around the country doing a live free tour and I think tonight he is with University of San Jose students which I would think would be fiery because I can't imagine well I don't know I can't imagine any of these places I think that's the point of it right he's gonna go he's going into the enemy territory he's been great you know when he was at ASU I think it was last week you know he's like they don't want to debate they just want to curse at me you know so now he's this is their opportunity to have intelligent discussion if they're capable of it well so we're gonna bring that to you on the nights that he does these and there's they're spread out here over the next couple months I think couple nights and it'll interrupt the last part of our show but we're happy to do it because I think it'll be great to watch so first one is tonight we expected around 930 or so maybe a little earlier maybe a little later but we'll throw to Charlie out at University of San Jose whenever he goes live so let's do some news with David I'm not gonna talk the rest of this I'm done it's turned over to David's ear and slick Rick we'll start with news news is brought to you by our friends over at seven cells David Zia what's going on I have nothing to say for a change don't make me pull the fire alarm to get us out of here he was upset about that too huh wasn't a principal too he said he didn't know what it was for he thought the door would open when he pulled the thing come on sounds very insurrection to me and yeah be charges should be filed already get 22 years at least he was in DC while he committed in the building committed it an obstruction so okay lot going on and it'll be fun they should film the parking lot after Charlie Kirk's done tonight of all the kids getting in their parents Lexus to go home you know after they scream about social justice anyway Gingrich let's see Anthony Agüero RAV correspondent extraordinaire you know listen all of them Benjamin Michael Yan Ben Burke qualms the greatest Anthony Aguero Oscar Obleu watch this footage it's heartbreaking so if I could talk over this you know what you're watching is illegals on their way up I don't know if they're in the u.s.

I got some breaking news for the NFL and crypto fans out there. There's some ways to make more money with crypto if you're a fan of fantasy football in the NFL like a lot of you probably are. Now, guys, unless you're under a rock, you've heard of fantasy football. Well, there's a crypto aspect to fantasy football, and that's draft kings. Draft kings have NFTs of every single player that you could draft. So if you play fantasy football and you see that random wide receiver, that random running back, you can draft that as an NFT. Well, there's a big, big injury that happened on Sunday. You maybe saw Aaron Rodgers. He got a career -ending injury, potentially career -ending. It's definitely season -ending. It's a bad Achilles heel injury, and he is out. Well, where's the crypto opportunity in that? Well, NFTs of Zach Wilson. Zach Wilson was the backup player for the Green Bay Packers. NFTs of Zach Wilson shot up from $69 all the way up to $555. Okay, that is an 8x. That's almost a 900 % gain right there. Sorry. No, it's 700%. That's almost a 700 % gain right there, folks. All right. Thank you, editor, for bearing with me here. Now, that NFT was for the elite version, and there's only 30 copies of those. So the less supply there is, the more value that these NFTs are going to have. So you don't want to go for the common or the uncommon if you're trying to flip NFTs. A lot of times, you just want to go for the rare for that hot, for that holy grail of the NFTs there. Now, what is the next opportunity, guys? Now, this was a huge, huge gain, okay? Going from $69, which is a pretty nice price, all the way up to $550, that's people would go crazy. A Wall Street guru, the world's best Wall Street trader, would go nuts for those types of returns. Well, guys, I think these returns can be had regularly, okay? Now, it might not always be a marquee player like, you know, Aaron Rodgers is in the backup, but sometimes, you know, running backs get injured all the time. Wide receivers get injured all the time. Other quarterbacks, there's, you know, almost 30 other quarterbacks that are, you know, worth their salt there. There's going to be tons of opportunities. Say your fantasy football team is doing terrible. You're horrible. You're in last place. You know you're not going to get in the playoffs. It's three weeks in, and you basically want to throw in the towel. Well, don't give up because there's a lot of opportunity with this DraftKings angle. All you have to do is just watch Sunday. Be the first one or two people to buy the NFT of that soon -to -be upgraded bench warmer, okay? Maybe it's a running back. Maybe it's a quarterback. Maybe it's a wide receiver. You don't know who's it going to be because we don't know who's going to get injured. There's going to be a lot of people maybe watching behind. There's going to be people FOMOing in later. There's going to be people maybe buying it an hour later. I want you to be watching the game, and I want you buying that NFT within seconds. Now, if you have a knowledge about football and you have a knowledge about crypto, this is a unique opportunity for you because not everyone is going to have your knowledge. Not everyone has your years of training being that armchair quarterback. You know, watching this channel, discovering crypto, figuring out how to get this wallet, figuring out what do you mean NFT marketplace, knowing what that means, knowing what your seed phrase is, having it written down, having all these things safe and having a roster of NFL NFTs that you can capitalize off of as there's going to be a lot of opportunity here. Sixteen weeks left, right? Seventeen weeks in the season. We got a lot of weeks left in the season. That's a lot of weeks of injuries. That's a lot of weeks of buying NFTs. And, guys, it's not just Sunday. We got Monday. We got Thursday. I think even Saturday night sometimes, so there's going to be opportunity. So if you're a football fan, turn it into an opportunity, a money -making opportunity. I'm not saying, you know, you're going to get paid 100 bucks an hour to watch football, but some people literally were paid hundreds of dollars an hour to watch football. Those that bought that Zach Wilson NFT and those that sold into the profit because that's going to be the key as well is spiked all the way up to 550 bucks. Guess what? Zach Wilson's NFT is now down. It's, I think, under 300. So you sell into the hype. You get in. You get out. There's a lot of opportunity to be made here, folks. I'm trying to give you financial freedom. So if you watch some football, you like NFTs, this is a great opportunity for you. That's all I got. DZ out. Let's discover crypto together, baby. You've been dreaming about the dress. Evangelism on SermonAudio
A highlight from Questions & Answers about Evangelism
"All right books on evangelism if anybody wants to make notes of these great if not, it's okay Evangelism in the sovereignty of God JI Packer Definitely my favorite my second favorite and it's a close second is a book called an alarm to the unconverted by a man named Puritan guy named Joseph Alene a ll e I and e and It's actually just being reprinted by a British company called Christian focus if any and matter of fact if most of you guys I think have me on Facebook or whatever. You could tell this anybody you want in the church pastor John. I actually My wife will probably go what I ordered 35 copies that book The day before we came up here to give away. So if you want to copy that book you send me your address I'll happily send you one my expense the best Short treatment I've ever read on evangelism. This is like a 40 page book Let and it's a little bit difficult to find but you can still find it It's called reformed evangelism by a guy named Morton Morton Smith like Morton salt Pursuing God as a little booklet by man named Jim Elif e ll iff Two books by Paul washer the gospel call and true conversion and the Gospels power and message One of the books on the list is back there on the table even if none by Ryan Denton my friend He also wrote a book with another friend. My name Scott Smith called a certain sound a Certain sound and even if none by Ryan Denton Joel Beaky be ee ke wrote Puritan evangelism really good Today's evangelism its message and methods by Ernest Reisinger and Yeah Book recommendations on evangelism, please know this Adam kind of alluded to this earlier but if there's any way that I can ever help you or Pray for you In in your evangelistic efforts or just in anything Please don't hesitate to reach out You know if I were to consider myself an evangelist Which that's a whole nother sermon for another day I think evangelists in the New Testament was like church planter, but it says he gave him as gifts to the church to To build up the body of Christ for the work of ministry. And so I feel like that's what God has graciously helped me to do and And I need to be built up too. You know, I'm not You know, I'm not just the builder up. I need a lot of building up and a lot of sharpening as well. So Allene questions Joseph a ll e I n e E I n e Yeah, Richard man just do me a favor sent send me your address as soon as I get those in I'll send you one I'd love to do that An alarm to the unconverted is probably the best Treatment I've seen on Man's need for regeneration and God's work in regeneration and This new one that I've just ordered it's just being published and I think they've kind of modernized the language I mean a book was probably written in the 15 or 1600s originally and it is it is a little bit challenging with the Old language, so I'm kind of excited to get this new Updated version they've updated it a couple times before one time They changed the name and they changed it to a sure guide to heaven And I was like, oh no, that's just not the same as an alarm to the unconverted But yeah Does anybody have any questions Adam Yeah Yeah, so I mean I think So that's a good really good question John sometimes people ask that question It's kind of like you you see that they're you know, shooting an arrow at you and other times.

Ultraflex Football
A highlight from 41: 2023 Predictions!
"Welcome to the Ultra Flex Football Podcast where we have fun with our friends while we talk about football and any anything else we wanna talk about. We're here for season two. I don't know if we're officially calling it season two but this is our second season of talking about NFL football. So, we're back. With me as always is Rob Green. What's up? And Ryan Wheeler. Howdy, howdy. Season two episode one is what it's officially gonna be titled and Tony, I told you not to talk so close to the mic, man. You like, blew out my eardrums there at the beginning but I just get excited. I know. You're so excited. You get excited so easily. We were talking about that before we like, actually started recording but anywho, uh so, we do that thing where we have an album and we split up the songs in the album and we try to get the song titles into the show as discreetly as possible. Sometimes not as discreet as we'd like to think we are but we're gonna give you our titles that way you know what to listen for. See how many you can catch. Just a little game within our show. My song titles, the album first of all is called Down to Earth by Jimmy Buffet. Rest in peace, Jimmy Buffet. It's his first album. Down to Earth. The songs that I have to get in are The Christian, LSD, The Missionary, and A Mile High in Denver. Rob, what do you got? Alright, I have the captain and the kid, Captain America, Ain't He a Genius, and Turnabout. Alright, and Sir Anthony. I've got There's Nothing Soft about Hard Times, I Can't Be Your Hero Today, and Truck Stop Salvation. So, we'll see if we can get all of those in. Uh most of the episode today is gonna be football. It's uh we we were doing some things during the off season to help pass time. Uh you know, Ultra Flex After Dark and having some fun with games and things like that but football season is here. Uh we're gonna be doing football talk here in a second where we're gonna pick our division of winners. We're gonna pick our Super Bowl, MVP, and then we're gonna pick week one games and then we'll have one game at the end. So, uh football, football, football. So, let's get it started with football talk. Just that really amps you up, doesn't it? Golly, that was good. It puts me in the football mood. It just, it feels like we're kind of, you know, whimsical, a little bit of uh goofy when we talk. So, I thought that was a good one for football, our football talk. Let's, let's start with, in my opinion, the less competitive conference which would be the NFC. Uh maybe you guys think differently. Um but let's go with NFC West. We'll skim over this if we all agree pretty quickly. Uh I'll go first. This one and then we'll just kinda alternate uh as we jump divisions but uh for me, the NFC West is the 49ers winning this division. Um I think they're the best team in the NFC. Any chance we can like we go NFC West that includes the that way for people that don't necessarily have the NFC West on the top of their head you're just gonna see that includes like the 49ers, Seahawks, Cardinals, uh Rams. Yeah, you just you just did it. Yeah, we can do it. Okay. Nailed it. Yeah. So, 49ers, Seahawks, uh Cardinals, Rams. For me, Cardinals, Rams are both gonna be pretty not so great. Comes out of the Seahawks and 49ers and I just think the 49ers are a better roster. Brian? Oh, it's next. Um I'm gonna go with the 49ers. I just think top to bottom, the roster is the best. Rob? Yeah, I agree but I wanna be different. So, give me the Seahawks. We hated on him last year. We picked him to be like what? One and sixteen I think cuz we thought they were terrible. Gino Smith's gonna continue his uh career turnaround, turn about. I don't know if I can use that here. And uh. And he's gonna lead them to a division title. Alright. They have the offensive weapons to do it though. They definitely have the offensive weapons. Maybe Brock Purdy isn't as good as he looked at the end of last year. We'll see. He doesn't have to be. They have Sam Darnold as the backup. I don't think that's why he doesn't have to be good but anyway. Yeah. I think he has enough weapons and Kyle Shanahan around him that will make him. Exactly it. Make him look good. Uh Ryan, I'll let you go first this time. We're talking about the NFC North. So, we got the Lions, the Packers, the Bears, and the Vikings. Who do you have winning that? The NFC North, I have the Packers taking that division. It kinda just feels like a crapshoot division honestly. I mean, I don't really feel good about my pick. I don't feel about picking any, good about picking any of those teams. So, I just want Jordan Love to be good because he's got an awesome name and quite honestly, that's that's how I came up with my answer. So, I was like, got the guy that has love in his name. I'm pretty sure from looking at this division, the odds are the closest bunch of four out of all the the division. Makes sense. So, it kind of is the most wide open division, I think. Who do you have? Yeah, who do you have picking, Rob? You know, our team last year was the Lions. So, I'm gonna I'm gonna bring that over to this year. Let's go with the Lions too. I don't even know the last time they won the division. Nineties probably. Early 90s, mid 90s. If they did then. I just don't know either. I think we'll find out pretty early AKA we're filming this on a Monday before the season starts. So, we'll find out in 3 days whether or not they'll be a pretty good team again which they have enough talent on the offense to put up points. It'll just. Yeah, what are we thinking like 60 points in that first game here with the Lions and Chiefs? It's gonna be a high score game. Probably, yeah. Yeah, no Chris Jones for the Chiefs and then the Lions don't really have much of anybody on defense. Um that means that yeah, they did what they took that linebacker. I can't think of his name right now. Um. The guy that everybody won the bills. Jack Campbell. Jack Campbell. Yeah. Yeah. Um but I agree. I have power on offense to be the best team in that division but I wouldn't would I be shocked if the Vikings or the Packers or even the Bears for that matter were to win it. Probably not. So, I'll go with the Lions. Uh the NFC East another compelling division. Got three and a half maybe. I don't know about Washington. Good teams. Um which the Cowboys, the Eagles, uh the commanders, and the Giants. Rob, who do you have winning the NFC East? Yeah, I like the Eagles. I think they're the best team in the NFC and I think they showed that last year. I think they'll do that again this year. Jalen Hurts continues his uh breakout. I won't say an MVP season but he could have another MVP caliber season like he did last year. Yeah, mine's gonna be the Eagles as well. I think their roster. While the Cowboys and Giants are gonna probably both win nine, ten games. I think the Eagles are just good enough to win eleven or twelve games and and win that division. So, Ryan, what about you? Yeah, I'm gonna be different and go uh Cowboys um not because I wanna be different but because I actually think the Cowboys are I think they have a better defense and I think their offense maybe not as good but I think they have a good offense and uh quite honestly, both these teams have pretty cake schedules. Um the Rob and I were talking about it earlier. Um sorry, we left you out of this conversation, Tony but the uh the Cowboys or I'm sorry, the the Eagles first was like seven games are the Patriots, Vikings, Buccaneers, Commanders, Rams, Jets, Dolphins, and then commanders again. It's like it's not that difficult. It could be six and one, seven and all. Yeah. And then the Cowboys was very similar. Like last year. So, it kinda feels like whoever wins this division is probably gonna win it with twelve. Twelve wins. Somewhere around there. Eleven, twelve. So, I just, I'm just gonna go Cowboys on that. That's gonna be a lot of my points in the AFC uh which we'll talk about in a second uh which is how hard all of their schedules are but uh last division um the NFC side is the NFC South. Could be the worst division in football. Uh we got the Saints, the Bucks, the Falcons, and the Panthers.

The Hugh Hewitt Show: Highly Concentrated
A highlight from Chairman Gallagher on What Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum Should Ask the GOP Candidates About Xi and CCP

And of course, a listen to the Hillsdale dialogues, all of them at Q for Hillsdale dot com or just Google Apple, iTunes and Hillsdale. Morning Glory America Bonjour. Hi, Canada. I'm Hugh Hewitt. Tomorrow night, eight Republicans will meet on the stage in Milwaukee for a debate. I am certain that China will come up the Chinese Communist Party, but I'm not sure how. Brett Baer, of course, coming up later in the program. Martha McCollum, two superb professionals, the equal of anyone else in our business, will be asking the question. But I thought I would talk it through with the chairman of the House Select Committee on Engagement with the Chinese Communist Party. Mike Gallagher, congressman. Good morning. Great to have you. Thank you for joining me. It is great to be with you, Hugh. We're going to come back around to this kind of war, which I finished last night on the recommendation of you. It is a remarkable book. And I had no idea how awful the chai comms were to our American prisoners. I just I didn't know. Did you know that before? Did the Marines teach you that when you were in the Marines? No, there's there's two things that I think, well, a lot of actually our modern thinking about how to prepare people for when they get captured. Think survival of Asian resistance and escape school, which I attended when I was in the Marine Corps actually comes out of the experience of the Korean War, particularly some politically sensitive moments when a few American captives refused actually to go home. There was, of course, this controversy during that time period post Korean War in the 50s about this idea of brainwashing. This is prominently expressed in the fictional book The Manchurian Candidate, which became a major American movie. But a lot of our thinking about how to better prepare pilots in particular because they get shot down for resisting in captivity actually comes out of that period. Well, a couple of takeaways I'll never forget. There are no Turks died in the camps. The Turks are the toughest people in the world, and none of them died in the Chinese Communist Party camps. And the Americans didn't eat everything they could eat because they didn't like it and they died of starvation. But the fact that the Chinese communists treated our men that way is a tell because they've reverted to this mode. They were the hardcore Maoist, Leninist mode in 1950 through 1953, and they've reverted. And that's what I want to talk to you about. I want to ask you at length. We got a lot of time this morning and thank you for the time. If you were advising Brett and Martha based upon your six months, what would you tell them are the major takeaways that you've learned as the chairman of the Select Committee? And how would you suggest they be turned into a question? Take your time, because that's a big that's a big question. What have you learned thus far in six months? And how would you convert that into questions for our candidates? Well, I think the overall thing to realize for these candidates and this advice is worth what they're paying me for it is that there is, in my opinion, something called the commander in chief test. It's not you know, you're not graded A through F. I think it's a pass fail endeavor, but it is absolutely critical. Put differently, I'm not myopic enough to believe that foreign policy or a particular issue of foreign policy is going to win the candidate candidate the election, but it could very well lose them the election. The final thing to say about the assumptions going into this when it comes to foreign policy is that the conventional wisdom is that it doesn't really matter from a political electoral perspective. And there's a lot of social science to support that. I just would say it doesn't matter until it does. It doesn't matter until things go haywire on the world stage and suddenly voters are looking to a prospective commander in chief to communicate, if nothing else, a sense of safety that I have the temperament and the plan to keep America safe in a very dangerous world, which leads, I think, to the answer your question more than anything else. I think these candidates need to communicate that they have a clear understanding of the threat we face in the Chinese Communist Party, the scale and scope of this threat. Why this isn't just a matter of some obscure territorial disputes in the South China Sea. This is indeed a global competition. The CCP has global ambitions. What happens in Xinjiang, what happens in Beijing is not going to stay there. They are intent on exporting their model of total techno totalitarian control, which leads to the second point that you need to find a way to contrast that threat to enduring the and inherently superior American values. And I do believe that this is a contest between two fundamentally incompatible systems of government. And it's unlike anything we've seen since, of course, the old Cold War. So communicating the stakes, communicating who we're dealing with in the nature of a Marxist Leninist regime that will stop at nothing to ensure that they survive at the expense of their own people. And that is the enemy of freedom around the world is the most important thing. In fact, I would say even more important than any particular policy position is just communicating that understanding of the threat and the prioritization of the threat, a recognition that as president, the most important issue that you will be dealing with as commander in chief is how to deter a war with the CCP in the short term and win a new Cold War with the CCP over the long term. So let's put that in the form of a question for Brett and Martha, because I think you're right, I am looking at, of course, I've always looked at every one of these debates as an audition to be commander in chief. Eventually, there comes a choice with the Democrat. But right now, when I vote in the Virginia primary, I will vote based on who will be the best commander in chief. And because that's what matter. 9 -11 matters. What is the W do on 9 -11 that matters? What does W do? The Afghanistan and Iraq. What does anyone do on any moment of crisis? What do they do in the situation room? Figuring out how to elicit that about China is a difficult thing. So you've been doing nothing but this for six months. And by the way, recap for our audience and Pittsburgh Steeler fans what you have been doing for six months, because they may never have heard of the select committee. This might be the first day they're listening to the audience. No acronyms or five dollars in the tip jar for food for the poor. Well, the speaker of the House created the select committee on the CCP to do two things. One is to communicate why this matters, why anybody in northeast Wisconsin or Pittsburgh or Ohio should care about the threat posed by the CCP, to shine a light on all the things that they're doing, whether it's threatening to invade Taiwan, whether it's establishing illegal police stations on American soil, whether it's infiltrating American universities or attempting to build spy bases in our near abroad, to explain why it matters and why your average American should care about it. The second thing is to identify policies and pieces of legislation that can pass even in divided government. In the 118th Congress, what is the center of gravity in terms of steps that we can take in order to put ourselves on a better position to beat the CCP in this short and long term competition? So that's what we've been doing. We've broken it down, essentially, as though this isn't a perfect organization into three main lines of effort. And I do think this reflects our overall lines of effort, our grand strategy against China basically has three main components. One is military competition. What are the things we need to do to deter a war over Taiwan in the near term, as well as ensure that we maintain our dominant military position over the long term? The second is what I call economic statecraft. How do we selectively decouple from China so they don't have a coercive leverage over us so they can't threaten, for example, to cut off the export of advanced pharmaceutical ingredients in order to bring us to our knees? And then the third line of effort is what I call ideological warfare or ideological competition, which is not only how do we rediscover a language for talking about American values and incorporate values and human rights back into American grand strategy, but also how do we better defend our institutions from Chinese Communist Party subversion, from something called United Front Work, from traditional espionage, things like that. So we aren't corrupted and divided from within, which is what the Chinese Communist Party is trying to do. Wang Huning, who's Xi Jinping's top lieutenant in the 90s, wrote a book called America Against America, in which he talks about Americans as greedy, factional. And that that title, America against America, I think reflects their overall strategy, which is to divide Americans against Americans and thereby make it impossible for us to compete. So we've been developing policy recommendations along each of those lines. We've put out two reports, one on military competition, one related to human rights. And we're going to be putting out further reports. So, you know, I think those are useful starting points for for candidates who want to prepare for a debate in terms of where's Congress at on this issue? Where's the bipartisan center of gravity? Where can you potentially build on some of our work? But that's what we've been doing for six months. It's trying to understand and explain the threat and then identify policy solutions that help us to combat that threat. How would you put that in the form of a question by Brett or Martha? Well, there's the overall prioritization question, you know, what is the biggest threat to American national security, which is a bit boring, but no, it's not that's not boring. That that is that is the question, isn't it? Shouldn't that just be asked? What is the number one threat to American national security and why? Shouldn't that be it? Yeah, I think that that's table stakes, right? That's a good diagnostic question. And then it also allows the candidates, if they want to use their full time and I forget how much time they get to really articulate the key distinction between them and the Biden administration, because if you read the Biden administration's national security strategy that they talk about China as a pacing threat, although I'm hearing now that the Pentagon is saying don't say pacing threat, say pacing challenge or competitor, because we obviously don't want to provoke the CCP for whatever reason. I've described this as kind of like a Voldemort phenomenon. There's this belief that the more more we say things like New Cold War or say that the CCP is doing bad things, that it will somehow become more true, which I think is absurd. I'll be right back. Sherman Gallagher is going to stay with me through the break and then we're going to bring him back and then we're going to do that again. And we're going to talk to him for 15 minutes this morning about this. I can't believe I'm doing that. 15 minutes with Mike Gallagher coming right at you, America. Stay tuned. I'm back now with Chairman Mike Gallagher. This is the segment between the radio segments, so you don't get to hear this unless you're watching it on YouTube or on the on the television station. Chairman, in terms of what level should we expect of our candidates knowledge? I see your Green Bay Packers thing yet. Do you know the Browns cleared 38 million in cap yesterday by restructuring Joel Bentonio and Miles Garrett's contract? We have no we have the most cap space in the NFL. We are the team to beat. We will see you. I actually I don't think you're making it to the Super Bowl this year. We are going to be in the Super Bowl this year and you are not ready for this. I'm glad this isn't on the air because this is a serious conversation. But you had to do that little thing. And I'll I'll just go get my brown sweater and just put it on during this segment like that. I'm going to wear this all the time now on the air because we're going to the Super Bowl. Chairman, do you know that we cleared Miles Garrett contract yesterday? You know what we do? Do you follow sports at all or do you just do ChaiCom stuff? I don't follow Brown's contract minutia. I'll confess. I'll confess that, though. I was I was yesterday. Someone said that I had the potential to coach for the Browns after I helped them with a constituent case issue, to which I said I would never coach for the Browns on an Intel. All right. Let me get serious again. I'm going to try to go off the off the rail. We'll get back on the rails. How many times have you guys held public hearings? Oh, gosh, I think 10 at this point, approximately 10. You had at least one set of war games. You have more war games coming. We do. We have we have at least one more coming up that's going to be more focused on economic and supply chain issues. OK. Do you think the candidates know anything about that? I really do want to try and use today to focus their attention on China. Do you think they know anything about what the select committee has been doing? Have you been approached by any of them? I think some do. It's part of the reason I wrote an op ed on this that appeared today in The Wall Street Journal just came out was an effort, maybe shamelessly, to draw attention to some of the things we're doing, because I think it creates some unique opportunities. I mean, to me, you know, the most and this reflects my bias in thinking that hard power is the most important variable on the world stage. I think a candidate who can articulate what we need to do to rebuild the military in general, but really the Navy in particular, which is, as you know, Hugh is really struggling right now. It needs to be our priority force in our priority theater. It's not. We're going backwards. There's questions about focus, warfighting prowess. You know, I wrote a report with the help of Admiral Montgomery about the lack of warfighting focus in the surface Navy with Tom Cotton, Dan Crenshaw and others. I mean, I think that's a massive opportunity for a candidate really to take the ball on defense and go a few layers deep beyond just peace through strength, military good, China bad. You go a few layers deep on that and sort of communicate that you have a coherent plan. Doesn't need to be super detailed. Doesn't need to be a 50 page white paper about everything we need to do. But just as an overall strategy for fiction, I'm going to get your comms team in trouble again. I haven't seen this plan that you and Cotton worked on. How can I not have seen this plan? Well, this is a year ago. You got to blame Cotton's comms team for this because he was OK. And usually it's good to blame Tom Cotton. He's on next hour. I'll do that. Is that widely available? Yeah, it's Cotton did it with four of us in the house. It was over a year, a year and a half ago, kind of in response to all of these ship collisions. Some of the reports that we were getting from active duty sailors and just the changes over the years to training in the surface Navy. We did a deep dive drawing on the expertise of Admiral Montgomery and others. I will give him about that in the next hour and I'll get a link and I'll make sure it's posted out to the candidates. Don't go anywhere. I'm coming right back with Chairman Gallagher. Welcome back, America. I'm Hugh Hewitt, Chairman Mike Gallagher of the House Select Committee on Engagement, the Chinese Communist Party returns. We talked during the break and we got off course because we did a little football trash talk. But now we're back on course. Chairman Gallagher, have you read this book? You had Kabul, the untold story of Biden's fiasco and the warriors who fought to the end. It it made me furious. It absolutely made me furious. Have you had a chance to read it yet? No, but my friend Commander Salamander, who's great in his podcast, Midrats, I highly recommend, just did a podcast with with the authors. So I listened to it. It's not the same, but I am now looking forward to reading the actual hard copy. Well, the end of the book, which I don't know of Commander Salamander got to because I didn't get to it and I talked to him for a long time. It's about how the chai comms came in as soon as we left. They have designs on Bagram. They know what the air raids mean. They know what the strategic minerals mean. It's just a great example of what happens when we retreat in the world. In fact, in the in the this kind of war book you had me read, I wrote down some notes. A retreat once started as the most difficult of all human actions to reverse. And they were talking about the retreat of the Norcs at that point. And then we would retreat later when they counterattack with the chai comms. But we retreated from Afghanistan and they have come in. Have you focused yet on what they're doing there? It hasn't been, admittedly, a subject of a hearing. You know, we have experts, you know, regional experts and Afghanistan experts. I think the key thing to bring it back to the the presidential debate, obviously the obvious thing to do is to connect the surrender to terrorists in Afghanistan, our abandonment of our position, our abandonment of billions of dollars worth of military equipment to then the collapse of deterrence in Ukraine and Eastern Europe, because I do believe that our feckless position in Afghanistan sent a clear signal of weakness to Vladimir Putin. And no wonder Vladimir Putin ignored all of our warnings leading up to the invasion on February 24th because we look so weak on the world stage and we allowed terrorists to completely take over the country. And I think also that has had a negative impact on our deterrent posture in in the Indo -Pacific, across the Taiwan Strait. You mentioned critical minerals. I also think this is a huge opportunity for presidential candidates to articulate a plausible path towards reducing our dependency on China for critical mineral processing. They control 90 percent of the processing. Right now, I think our attempts to wean ourselves off of our to to establish some form of semiconductor manufacturing independence are not going to be successful, in part because the Biden administration has placed so many onerous regulations on grants for chips, fabrication facilities. But if a Republican candidate, particularly one with a business background or with a gubernatorial background, came in and said, here's our strategy when it comes to advanced pharmaceutical ingredients, critical minerals and rare earth processing, tie that to a robust domestic economic agenda. That's a massive opportunity for someone trying to pass the commander in chief test, because the reality is we are going to have to reclaim our economic independence from China in key areas. The progressives are experimenting with one way to do it. We need to identify a way that is fundamentally free market, but not but nonetheless achieves the actual goal of reducing our dependency on China. Chairman Gallagher, there's only one veteran on the stage, Ron DeSantis. Mike Pence has got a son and a son in law on active duty. Of course, Nikki Haley's husband is deployed. Those three know about this in terms of of why is China a threat? Is it a fair question to ask? Why is China a threat? What is it that worries you about China? Is that a fair question? If so, how would you answer that or suggest they answer that if you are one of the people on the stage? Well, first of all, I do think DeSantis has been really good on China and probably the best in the field. I was watching the forum that they did in Iowa. I forget what it's called, the Iowa Faith and Family Forum. And he proactively brought up China as an issue and talked about what he's done in Florida to combat the threat, talked about the threat in global terms. And so the most of the discussion focused on Ukraine. And I understand that that's more of a politically divisive issue on the stage. And so there is a you know, I think the moderators will want to identify the differences between the candidate thus far. Governor DeSantis has been talking in clear and unapologetic language about why the CCP is a threat and what he would do to combat it, which is greatly appreciated. More to your point, as a Navy veteran, I think he has a huge opportunity to be the Navy guy, be the guy who's going to rebuild the Navy and put it in a position where it can it can deter Xi Jinping from attempting to achieve his lifelong ambition was to take Taiwan by force. So to answer your question, Vivek just told me last week, we'll give them Taiwan after we achieve semiconductor independence. In other words, Vivek understands Taiwan is important for its semiconductor. Your colleague on the committee, Ro Khanna, tweeted at me last night when I was already offline that that doesn't do the trick. That's not why we're worried about Taiwan going down. Who's right? Well, obviously, our interests in Taiwan extend far beyond semiconductors. Our interests predate Taiwan's emergence as a semiconductor powerhouse. And if the concern from Vivek and I think it is that our dependence on TSMC for semiconductor manufacturing needs to be eliminated, I just would say two things. It's highly unlikely that we're going to achieve semiconductor independence by 2028. TSMC is investing far more money than the CHIPS Act is investing right now. Even under a Republican president, we would struggle to wean ourself off our dependency. But if the CCP had control of Taiwan, they would still be able to hold the rest of the world economically hostage. And that is the issue. Semiconductors or other or some sort of domain of economic competition. If they had Taiwan, they would be able to completely dominate the region through which trillions of dollars of international trade go. The other thing I would say, it's I mean, we got to go to break. I'll come back to go to break. We'll be right back with Chairman Gallagher during the break and then one more segment beyond. Don't go anywhere. America, I'm Hugh Hewitt. Portions of The Hugh Hewitt Show are brought to you by Food for the Poor. So I'm back with Chairman Gallagher, Chairman Vivek's answer to that is I'm going to get India to cooperate. And if Taiwan closes the Taiwan Straits, we're going to close the Malacca Straits. Ro Khanna says that's that's crazy. That doesn't work. I don't know what the answer is, but I know what Vivek has told me. I don't think he agrees with you, but I'll let him speak for himself. I don't want to put words in his mouth that we have to worry that much about the Taiwan Strait. Well, he's obviously very smart. I would say this with Marxist Leninist regimes, their appetites grow with the eating. So I think it would be a mistake to think that if we just surrender Taiwan on a date certain that we wouldn't have to worry about the problem. If they're the dominant regional power, they're one step closer to becoming the dominant global power. And that, I think, is the answer to your earlier question. Why? Why is the CCP a threat? Because they're trying to destroy our geopolitical position. Primarily by convincing us to destroy ourselves, they believe, as we mince words about whether they're a competitor or an adversary, they certainly believe that they're in an existential war with the free world led by America and that China will win, rendering America and our constitutional system of self -government subordinate, humiliated and wholly irrelevant on the world stage. So you can sort of think of it as as an assisted suicide. You know, they're trying to expedite our collapse. They provide the chemicals, fentanyl, the collapse in prosperity. Covid, IP theft, economic warfare and the self -loathing and depression via political interference and information warfare. So I think the the the threat would not stop after Xi Jinping had taken Taiwan. I think it would only expedite and become greater. So if you could read Xi Jinping's mind, what is he thinking about us? What does he want to see happen to us? I think he wants us to look inward and to abandon our position on the world stage and to be consumed with internal political battles. I also think he likes seeing us embrace this almost the CCP's narrative that America is an evil country. America is a neo colonial racist hellscape. I mean, this is CCP propaganda that a lot of Americans have embraced. I think ultimately he wants us to lose faith in ourselves as a force for good in the world. And ultimately, over time, he thinks the rest of the world is going to Finland dies more in the CCP's direction as an alternative model of government and world leadership, in part because America has lost faith in itself. That's why I think primarily the hard power is the most important variable. This is an ideological competition overall. And ignoring the role ideology plays in the competition is a fatal flaw. And so we need to find a way to press the candidates on that as well. You know, the we got two minutes before we come back. The ideological competition is quite simply not discussed. And I don't think our media is familiar with it. They're not stupid. They're ignorant of the ideological. They don't even believe it exists anymore. Chairman, have you run into that? Do your Democratic colleagues believe that there are such things like Leninist and that that the 20th century ideological competition is back with a vengeance? Well, I think for two and a half decades, we tried to take the communist out of Chinese Communist Party, and this belief persists that, well, they're not really communist. They're not really Marxist. They've embraced forms of capitalism and they're they're rational actors. And I think this is a dangerous way of thinking to go down, particularly under Xi Jinping. The party has embraced its Marxist Leninist roots. Xi's spirit animal is, in fact, Stalin. He looks to Stalin for guidance on how to operate. And so a candidate who understands that and can articulate that, I think, has a massive opportunity to distinguish themselves. The Democrats sort of come at the ideological competition through human rights. And there are a lot who genuinely believe in the cause of human rights. And though there are times when we have to prioritize between security concerns and human rights, this is when dealing with China, that's not an issue at all. We're coming right back. Stand by, chairman.

Aaron Rodgers Emerges From the Darkness
"Who's been a top contender for Friday's finest for the last few weeks. Has been the mercurial quarterback of the Green Bay Packers. Aaron Rodgers. Now, deciding that he did not want to retire under the same year Tom Brady did, and he wanted to continue to play. He's following that great packer tradition of leaving the Green Bay Packers and going to New York. It looks like if things can get everything settled. I mean, is there ever, I mean, this is almost like the Howard Hughes of football. I mean, just this reclusive, I'm going to sit in the dark for two weeks and then come back out and talk. And then when he actually came back out this week and said it on the pat McAfee show, well, I'm going to play and I intend to play with the jets. Well, I loved the I don't know if I'm going to try to I think it's a direct one. He said, I came out of the darkness and something was a little bit off. Like, yeah. Okay. The real world, buddy. You know, I just, I feel like every fan of every other team in the NFC north wants to hold a press conference to thank God for getting Aaron Rodgers out of their division. But realistically, it's something that bothers me. I think this is, this goes for pretty much anything. This is not, we don't even have to keep this to just sports, but the idea that he knew that he knows that he has enough power to a if they want to get rid of him, he can take as much time as he wants. If he really wanted to stay and cause a stink and their organization, he could do that as well. But now he gets to make demands to the team that's looking to get him. "There's a better way to fly private. Let's go to the NFC south where the bucks continue just hang by a thread at this point. And like you said, JJ watt was dominant on whatever night that was Christmas night where, gosh, I hope people didn't stay till the end of that game. This buck's offense just isn't really workable necessarily. And again, I think people are looking for some reason for optimism besides, okay, well, they have Tom Brady, so they'll figure out at some point. I don't know if it's getting figured out. And one thing I think kind of popped up on Sunday Night during that game was, I don't know if Brady like weirdly kind of doesn't trust the receivers at this point, which is especially problematic. We know the offensive line is an issue, but he's not really making a lot of anticipatory throws either, which is also a huge issue. Yeah, I wonder what the deep down I don't know what he's seeing right now. And obviously he's seen more football than I will ever see in my entire life and understands the game at a deeper and more intimate level than I've ever seen, but it's a lot of check downs and check downs are good and effective if you then utilize that to push the ball downfield, but it's just, this is 16 points a game and it is just brutal. And I mean, listen, Rashad white looks good. I'll see that. I mean, Rashad white looks good. I think that they're running the ball. Okay. It's not terrible, but there's nothing complimentary. And I don't know if Mike Evans is tired if he's banged up. I mean, God went two weeks ago, looked like he was 21 again. And he looked fantastic. I don't understand how this has gotten to this point. Like everybody seems to have aged like 30 years over the course of half a season. And now they got to deal with the Panthers. Look, Panthers can take control of the division, head to head, they beat the bucks earlier this year. It's obviously a super, super, super run heavy offense. They're going with at this point, and it's working. And they're rolling this thing out in the second of the season. And Caroline is just kind of looks fresh. I know that's not really analysis, but they just look like they are just ready to keep steamrolling teams. They have a young fast defense and that's it's adding up to a lot of good football late in the year. Yeah. They're just bruising and Sam darnold is obviously better on the move, has been throughout his entire career. I think that there was just one point where, especially with the jets where you just couldn't boot him anymore because your run game wasn't good enough. But when any quarterback has a good running game, right? They're going to perform better, but especially darnold, who loves to be booted out. I still think it might have been as early as the first few weeks of last season. He was the best quarterback when running in the NF throwing when running in the NFL. At one point before he was supplanted in Carolina last year. So you haven't working now. I mean, remember, I think his first start, right? It was against Matt Patricia and the Lions when they put up his first pass was the pick 6. This first NFL throw is the pick 6. But then they just started obliterating alliance in the run game. And then he started booting and just whipping long dimes to Robbie Anderson. And I mean, that's kind of how it goes with him.

I'm sure that that person that that guy or girl is gonna be very productive for many years for this place. And then the media is gonna ask me I'm gonna be like it's amazing what we can do in this place when you don't have people just obsessed with Ben mcadoo. 8 hour workday spent 6 and a half hours talking about goddamn Ben mcadoo. Panthers falcons. So this game was absolutely wild. I don't think there's a ton to talk about from like a sort of schematic standpoint. We kind of know what the falcons have become. I do wonder if the falcons will kind of, you know, as a league, just do like, oh, you're going to try and ram it down our throats with 45 runs a game, and that's what's going to be, which is cool, and it works, but I don't know if it goes less effective as we go on. And look, I turned the game off when it was 34, 28. And the Panthers had to turn over on downs and it was just like, all right, well that's it. Time to time to move on with my life. Time to see my family for a little bit instead of making sure the falcons hang on. And then all of a sudden you look back 5 minutes later, it's like, oh, 34 34. Weird. To the Panthers kick two field goals here. What happened? So yeah, we had, gosh, what a turn events. I guess we'll start with. I don't know, Connor, do you want to start with the penalty that taking off the helmet penalty? Or do we start with a touchdown itself? We'll start with the touchdown itself. I didn't have a, you don't let anyone behind you. But I understand how it happened because the falcons were expecting the sort of one more throw to set up the Hail Mary instead they got the Hail Mary on that play. Yeah, so it was first and ten and what there was 1819 seconds left when walker just breaks the pocket and uncorks this one. So it wasn't your typical situation when something like that happens. You know, you're thinking, okay, what if Derek Carr is a season like this or someone, you know, guys that can really start shuffling the pieces in the dominoes. But like, you know, okay, what if Geno Smith is like the 12th best quarterback in the NFL? What happens? Like, that has big time ramifications. You're Ben mcadoo fanfic, really just takes on a whole life of its own at this point. The alternate universe where he gets Gino Smith as his starting quarterback and things end up okay with a giants. Ran up against the Manning cabal in that one. And just they shut big bend down and Gino and they had, this was what it was supposed to look like giants fans, but instead but yeah, ugly game, which has been a giant's trademark at that point, but boy like we talked about. There are some young players on this team that are playing extraordinarily well. And you can't be upset, I think it's 6 and two if you're them, right? I mean. This is so much better than you thought you were going to be. You're getting some decent plays out of some out of some of these younger guys. They're playing bigger than themselves and Daniel Jones doesn't look like a clown out there. You know, I think everything looks like every Sunday it looks like a professional football game. And that's really good. That's important to say right now. Again, we don't have to play this game with every team, especially the Giants, but I'm sure we'll play it a few more times this year, but you know, when you were coming to the season, if it was like, okay, here's the Giants rosser. Oh, also like kaderi Tony's gonna be a complete non factor and they're gonna trade them for draft picks later. Also Sterling shepherd's gonna tear his ACL Kenny gallaudet is still gonna be complete non factor. It's gonna be basically Darius Leighton David sills and just a bunch of street free agents. Marcus Johnson, like guys of that ilk, you'd be like, I don't know, that's a four win team. And it'd be like, well, what if they went 6 and 11, you'd be like, oh, it's a nice year for Brian table. And they're sitting at 62 right now. They could lose out. And it would still be like, yeah, I don't know, this was still better than reasonably you could have expected. Yeah, I completely agree. I mean, a lot of times that I pick records, you know, you think about, oh, well, you know, would a coach not take offense to it because I don't really care, but like coaches and teams do read this stuff. Our. Predictions are red, Gary. I'm just gonna let you know that. They are red, people are taking note. But and sometimes I'm like, ah, if that guy saw that, do you think he'd be mad? "We have to make a 6 yard play like a ten yard play. And I think Christian McCaffrey is the absolute prime example of that. He's been doing that with really crappy offenses for a really long time and it seems like, you know, even an 8 man boxes, he's able to do this. And now, with a little bit more space and I think a little bit more ingenuity, he's turned into quite a weapon and no, he's not gonna throw like 8 more touchdown passes this season, so like what we saw today is not like meaningful in that sense, but I think it is meaningful for them to, I thought this was a big information game, right? Because a lot of teams play the same kind of defenses Raheem Morris does in LA and what you're doing is you're kind of allowing Christian McCaffrey to start giving you information about how a lot of other teams on your schedule are going to play you. And I do think that that was interesting, right? So if I line them up wide if I'm putting them in this kind of motion, if I'm starting them sprinting before the snap, how is everybody going to kind of adjust to that? Are they going to cover him? Are they not going to cover him? And so I actually thought like the halfback pass was like a neat example of not necessarily that it was cool that he could throw the football. That is cool. But just like, how much respect are you going to have in these situations, right? Yep, and this was part of the answer is this is because if you have a Christian McCaffrey, you want to use him as being part of the solution for your office at this point. But also with debo Samuel out in this game, there was a little more of a need for him to do some of this stuff in this rams game, which they got done, the other thing I want to bring up for the forty-niners side is there's probably some hand wringing with this defense a little bit. I know by like halftime of this game, there are some hand rigging with the defense and what's happening here. I do think we underestimate linebackers when they are playing against really good offenses with a really good offensive architects. And the way I hate to say this about the reserve forty-niners linebackers, but the way you can kind of exploit weaker linebackers that we saw the chiefs do last week and we saw Sean mcvay do in the first half of this game. The rams ran, I don't know. If they ran 30 plays in the first half, I feel like 27 of them were some variation of a screenplay. It just kept on doing it. And then they got the touchdown to Cooper Cup, which was they went after or in Burke's. Who's filling in for Dre green law at this point. So Drake greenlaw has been out. I think it's a much different defense when you are missing a starter, but I think especially going up against the chiefs and the rams, that difference is really going to be exploited more than maybe it would be against sort of generic opponent X so I have a gripe on that front because we didn't talk, will you and I talk regularly, but we didn't talk and record it for a podcast after the Buccaneers after the Buccaneers Thursday Night Football loss.

And we'll also use this one, I guess, to queue up our unofficial Simpsons clip of the week. Why don't we play that Shelby? Hi, is it sky to his odds that ooda disappeared and suddenly they're serving us this mysterious food called uda bra? Oh, relax kids. I've got a gut feeling Hooters around here somewhere. After all, isn't there a little odor and all of us? In fact, you might even say we just ate odor and he's in our stomachs right now. Wait, scratch that one. Yeah, that has nothing to do with this game. It's just a really good clip from a treehouse of horror. I guess you could say that maybe the rams, well, that'd be weird. I was gonna say, I guess you could say maybe the rams wish they ate Christian McCaffrey instead of allowing them to play against it, but I don't know man. Something like that. It's really just, it's happy Halloween to everyone who celebrates or if you're listening to this later in the week and it's after Halloween, which is Monday. You know, happy Halloween 2023, 360 something days from now. For sure. Yeah. But let's get into the forty-niners just continued dominance of the rams here at this point. And we talked a little bit about Christian McCaffrey last week and we kind of tongue in cheek, talked about what a bummer the trade was as they got blown out by the chiefs in their own building. This was, and I think this is kind of my takeaway on this McCaffrey performance. He had the, he had the pass run and receiving touchdown in this game. Which is neat. That's always like a cool thing, but that doesn't really apologies to the late great David Patton. That doesn't necessarily statistical anomaly. That's not something that's shows really his value. And we have kind of geeked out, obviously, about what you can do with him from a formation standpoint, from a mismatch standpoint out there. But his two touchdowns, the two he scored the rushing touchdown and the receiving touchdown. They were just examples of him being better than everyone else on the field with the ball in his hands. I guess I should specify, he took it down to the pylon on the previous and then he punched in on the next play, but that is just a run he created that maybe ten guys in the league can do that with the ball in their hands, running backs, receivers, and tight ends. And then he had a receiving touchdown where second reaction play, which is not Jimmy Garoppolo's strength. McCaffrey got to where he had to be. And then he ends up just the body control and the footwork to make that catch on the side of the end zone. I mean, that's as good as any receiver. So you just kind of end up with a guy who, you know, with all the neat stuff the versatility means before the snap, just absolutely dominant after the snap on those plays. Yeah, and in a way, right? It all fits into what Kyle Shanahan's core ethos is, right? Is that, you know, you have to be able to create above and I'm gonna put you in a great position, but then you have to make the situation even better than we could have possibly imagined, right? You have to extend the play via yards after catch.

"I think the one thing that maybe you feel kind of good about if you're the packers is, you know, they played a lot of bigger personnel in this game. They obviously found something in the run game. To, you know, maybe that regulates your offense soon extent and you can kind of just have more of a, I don't know, just a steady movement of the ball as opposed to the complete lack of movement of the ball that you've had for the past couple of weeks. You know it was interesting. I noticed it with Rogers. It was super obvious, obviously, with Tom Brady on Thursday, which is that that whole and maybe it's maybe this is just life into high shell at this point, but it's like the quick game has become even more so where it's just like, you know, where are they going to run it or as soon as I snap it, I'm just going to look to my left and just fire it at the slot receiver and see what he can do with it. And we saw Rogers kind of go to that. We saw a Brady go to it an awful lot. We saw a couple kind of flailing quarterbacks this week really try to work the quick game like that. And you know, nothing's perfect right now. I think it's very cool that we're in a defensive counter revolution right now, which is what we're seeing. But it certainly causing some headaches, and that's what we saw at Green Bay today. Well, and we did, we saw some more offense this week. And we'll obviously get into that as we cover the rest of the Sunday games, but. You keep on watching the packers, and we've talked about this and it's kind of like, I don't know if there's a solution in 2022. I think maybe beyond 2022, but we had talked a little bit on our trade deadline discussion on the mid week show last week, do you just sort of get that big play guy and now you just have someone who every once in a while, you can just chuck it 40 yards and I'll do something with it. That might be Christian Watson if they don't make a move, but Christian Watson gets hurt on his first touch in this game and there's just really no margin for error as far as his passing game goes because there's just, boy, there's just a lack of comfort with any of these targets here. Does it make sense at any point at what? I would guess 5 38. They had the packers at like a 25% shot to make the playoffs. You lose this game, you're probably down to like 15, 17% chance to make the playoffs. Does it make sense to spend draft equity at this point? I still think it does. I'm a fan of unless you're Dave gettleman doing it with Leonard Williams. I'm a fan of buying early at the trade deadline and kind of cutting the line on everything and you get half a season with the guy and then he's ready to roll for the next year. And sometimes you get you end up getting guys like that a little bit cheaper just because of how it all works out. But I still think they spend, I think they should spend draft capital. I think teams will be interested enough in some of their picks and think they might be kind of high, that they might be a little bit more valuable. I still go out and get someone. I think if the deadline, because what are you going to lose? No, I agree with you in a 100%.

Will Chris Rock's 'No' Last?
"There was an interview that was teased on world news tonight with will packer revealing details about the LAPD's conversation with Chris Rock on Sunday Night. You see guys, the cops came. "The mason minute. With Kevin mason. Aaron Rodgers has been in the news the last couple of days, not for how the Green Bay Packers are doing, but of course, for not telling the whole truth about being vaccinated for COVID-19 when he was asked to direct question before the season. A lot of people are weighing in, and the one thing I keep hearing is the word selfish that it has nothing to do with whether he wanted to be vaccinated or not. There are lots of people in the NFL that aren't vaccinated. We already know who they are, but he kind of said he was immunized. Everybody thought him being immunized, and he was vaccinated. He was being deceitful. He was being selfish. Because at the end of the day, if you know he's not vaccinated, you can try to stay away. Because he wouldn't wear a mask because everybody thought he was vaccinated. It's causing a lot of problems. What we haven't heard yet is how his teammates feel. We're hearing a lot of people weigh in, but not the most important people. Selfish is an interesting word to describe Aaron Rodgers. Scrubs a lot of people these days, not just about COVID-19. We live in a very selfish world. I guess it's true. We care about ourselves and nobody else. And that's scary.

"When i hung up the phone with him that day i said to myself. Wow this is going to be his last year in green bay now about a week or two later adam. Schefter drops his incredible report. That rogers basically confirmed everything when he stood up there the first day of training camp and detailed ball of his grievances. But i just remember hanging up the phone with rogers on that day in early april just thinking to myself. This is gonna be it this. This 2021 season is it was more. I guess you know peter when you talk to guys. It's more how they sound rather than what exactly they say and to me. That was the feeling i got. When i got done talking to a met day is that he knows and he either. A is resigned to that or be once at that way. And i'm not sure which is exactly the way it may be both. It may be that. He's resigned to knowing that. The packers are in a big salary cap problem next year. And then brian good accuse drafted jordan love and then he wants to turn things over and it might be that. Aaron rodgers is ready to say look. I saw tom brady did he. Basically was able to get his group together and go win the super bowl somewhere else. And rogers may want to try that as well so it could be one the other or some combination of what interests me about roger situation is that next year. He which i reported. You probably have reported the same thing next year. He has the right to request a trade and my understanding is the packers then would have to trade him And he will have some say. I don't know how much say. But he'll have some say as to where he can go. It's but if he if he chooses to stay with the packers in twenty twenty two and to play out the final year of this contract then he could be an unrestricted free agent in march twenty. Twenty three at the age of thirty nine. And what's interesting about that if that would be. His choice is that he would be an unrestricted free agent at the age of thirty nine without as of right now anyway..

"That's geico dot com. nfl live. Let's go to tampa. We're just about a week ago. Bruce arians said he expected. Tom brady to be more of a coach. At minicamp palm apparently had other plans. Yesterday he was full. Go to the point that. I had to pull him back a few times. Pretty sure ghosts only one speed brady in the bucks. We'll look to pick up where they left off. Last season they're often surged down. The stretch ranking first or second points per game yards per game and offenses efficiencies from weeks. Tens or seventeen so major improvement right as the season. Went on really addressed the media. Today we've got some bad news for defense. It's he explained. Just how injure. He was during last season's championship run. I had to spend a lot of time attending to that particular injury. Which happens when you have something. That's you know you need it. Ultimately have surgery to get fixed. It was an injury. I dealt with Really you know. Since last. April may i knew i would have to do something at the end of the year and a happy i did it and it was probably something that was needed to be done. And there's a great outcome sell very happy about that. I fill out the do some different things this year that i was able to do. All right let me get this straight. Tom brady he needs needs. Serve free have to get it at the end of the season but just know plays the whole season win the super bowl at age forty two. How crazy is this guy. I mean what's going on here. This is ridiculous. I hope people understand what he said. So basically april may of twenty twenty. He finds out. And i've got to have knee surgery and then spends the year basically tending to that. He getting you ready. You know goes to a new team meets. New teammates learns a new. Offense goes on wednesday super bowl and then has surgery on that knee in february like in perspective. When i was forty two i had two knee surgeries on the same gained about thirty pounds and stopped going upstairs. Okay so like what he's done is absolutely remarkable and. I don't know that there's ever been a player that has taken better care of their body throughout their career than tom brady and ten. Don't sell yourself short. You really bounced back. Well from that so i was gonna come on. Dan don't be mean so. Dan a healthy brady. They return all the starters right. I may be asking the impossible here but can you find me a weakness at all on this team to maybe like give some other teams some hope. The comfort of time you know go back to last year showed up those great stats week. Ten through seventeen but weeks one through ten were somewhat up and down relatively ugly pounding the table on our show of what they needed to do. Expensively right and what happened was because they were in the middle of the season and they were cluttering time. Force them to to make a decision. Okay we're going to go for this offense that were trying run and then we're going to do this stuff that tom wants to do. And the offense to your point took all they have right now is whole off the comfort of times. There's no reason for them to panic or go what we have you on my own. This is a nit-pick this is a nit-pick is if the coaches or the steps it back no you know what maybe we will try to stuff that we didn't do well last year or maybe we will try that stuff that bruce arians really wanted to do other than that this offense. We'll be better and when it comes to ability and talent. No there is absolutely no weakness on this offense. Yeah it's really scary at sal pal. Did point out yesterday that todd bowles from the defensive side it put in a whole bunch of new stuff. That brady was trying to check out so on defense. They're doing some different things already. "So we've been discussing this today. Is that the truth of the matter is years ago in the nfl. You gotta play preseason. And then sean mcvay said i'm not gonna play my best players and it didn't matter if they went not start the caesar ota minicamp if you're gonna ask the players to play seventeen games increasingly. I think veteran players should have the right to say not shown up to some of these mini camps. Does it bother you. Would all that ahrends not. They're not at all because the most important thing is making sure. Aaron rodgers is there for training camp and getting ready for the season. You don't need to be there for minicamp. You spoke on college. Not need to be there for minicamp. He's gonna show for many capitola. Take two reps on the side of the ball and ought to on the other players are going to get all the reps there. There's no need to be there. The most important thing make sure air is there for training. Camp minicamp means absolutely nothing even back in the days when i first came in the league guys weren't showing for many camps and then they tried to put little incentives in your contract. Try to make you show up. A guy still work listen. Ota's ot as many cap does not matter as long as you're in for training ready to go ready to rock it ready to try to go chase a super bowl. That's all that matters. And that's all at the packers should be focused. All right now is getting twelve back in there for trying to cancel. It can go chase the super bowl. I said this earlier today to that. I defended earn on this is whereas mahomes and alan and brady and garoppolo are getting immediate. Help the last two drafts for green bay. They've drafted project quarterback a second round running back. Who had no chance of getting major snaps six offensive line five of which are developmental and my takeaway. Errands looking around going turns any player. This is the part where i defend him did. Did he ever voice opinions to you ever that he was a little frustrated by the organization tends to be all about development and protecting the future and other guys are getting gifts in free agency and gifts that can help in the draft..

"We have to go back to. What i think is the greatest thing on the internet yesterday and maybe ever jeff saturday again the block. Here's a seventeen year old young woman. That's a bear threatening her dogs and she just meets the bear right off of this wall through it. We call that big boom just the bear the wall knocking. And here's the scariest part this sport is that bear taken like two or three whites it those dogs and she runs up no fear no hesitation and just blast that bear the bear catches itself. Climbs back up. I mean that girl. Listen whoever can signer now because that type of tenacity that type of courage have. I wouldn't have them. Dogs would have been on the road. Hey dolled if you own a dog zoo. Whoever is i love it. I'm just glad. Jeff senate i done. I knew that he wouldn't have done it. Never blocker to up to. He was going to take just one of the single greatest thing ever seen. She is a seventeen year old girl and she just ran out there. Jeff how many pancakes. How many can we give green like. Three's not enough whatever we can give her. That's the standard beer. That's the that's the top of all it will not be replaced. Yeah i thought the toughest baird. A block was khalil mack. But that all changed yesterday. A rodeo arguable moment just outstanding all right we'll take a break on that. I could keep watching it all day coming up. I don't need to see this again. Lebron on the brink of being bounced is the son about the set on the kate. We will ask. Jalen rose that question next. We'll also ask him this question from sneaking hembo prior to this. "I would lean toward yes with lebron not quite lebron lebron and the role players playing the way purkis indicated this morning if they can't go or if severely limited and i've got two games to win one if i'm phoenix yet once in. La game seven on board. I'm taking phoenix in that scenario. And then per that would lead to another interesting question. Jay gould touchdown this about a half hour ago you know. We saw the lakers win the title last summer or last winter i. It was in the in the bubble. They play miami in the finals. Their miami gets swept in the first round this year. If the lakers get knocked out will it casts some question about the legitimacy of the championship. They won last year perk. They earned every bitter championship. Everyone had the same opportunity. Okay look going down there. In the bubble we heard the stores guys coming out saying if felt like they just did a bid it felt like they just came out of the country the way that they will cooped up down there in the bubble you wink. We watch guys talk about mental health down there in the full. That's how hard it was to win the championship again playing in front of fans. That's a great thing to do. That's why we enjoy fast as if you win the game win games but when you don't have fairs and you just have to go out there and eat without the noise and without the support then you have to have a different mental toughness so i love to but i disagree with him on this tape. Grabs zach tired of people way beyond jay will denigrate both the accomplishments of the heat and the lakers. In the bubble the bubble was unusual. It was weird. The entire world's unusual for a year and a half dollars to me winning in the bubble or in the case of someone like tyler herro playing above your expectations above your level in the bubble. That's not a fluke. It doesn't some. That's be denigrated later when you maybe don't do as well the next year to me. It's a badge of honor winning in that environment in that different kind of environment in that stressful environment. That purchase said that's a badge of honor. It's it's time to stop denigrating. That is a fluke. Even though the heat got swept the lakers might lose in the first round. It doesn't denigrate what they did. Last season guys outstanding as always jalen will join us coming up shortly. We'll have more hoops as we go. Game six of this series is tomorrow night. Big.

"Not put his imprint on the game in a way that we have come to expect from abroad on the biggest biggest stages all those three made. It was thirty point game. The game was over. Both things can be true. The role players particularly tennis schreuder failed. And lebron did not play a lebron gaming. I'm sorry but when you're a lebron that's the standard and maybe because of the high ankle sprain. He just doesn't have it in them. That's a real injury. That will probably not get better until he has time to rest and so this is just reality. Their backs are against the wall. And when you lose by thirty and a half nobody plays that well go ahead for zig. Stop look too late to school. Ten points in the second quarter. They scored ten points in the second quarter. He did not get any hill. Say if you go down and look at the history of the nba. All the greats had role players that elevated they gangs when it mattered. The most you gotta happen duchesne from them. It opens up everything else. The reason that devon booker was able to drop the have thirty point. Night was because cam johnson cameron of knock down wide open shots. The andre eight is being the threat at the basket that opens up everything else for your superstores when not down shot. zach zach. Let me ask you about a different superstar. "Was nobody on the team. That i said man i need to step it up except for again. Special teams blocking and tackling But you know the green bay helped us out a lot by just not playing really well now and i think a lot of it is. I'm spoiled in watching his team. Play so good. You know on both sides of the ball. We played an elite level or quarterback as lead our receivers early. I get mad when they dropped passes but other than that runs. Good routes get open their fight for the ball. They're doing what they need to do. They do good blocking so. I'm spoilt did watching it highly elite team and then when i watch other teams you know. I'm like oh they didn't bring their a game. It probably is there not as good as we are. Yeah fan time gotten really sports like you have so on to complain about that. During the offseason the media is coming up with all these bullshit narratives that immediately get dispelled you know the following week. 'cause there's nothing else really to complain about. They try and we tried this year all year. Long to come up with something to bring his team down. Couldn't do it every time they brought something they're not doing enough tight end passes like area will okay. Next week will throw five touchdown to tight. Anti show was like. Oh we're not gonna play action okay. Here's the next week. We'll do fifteen play actions and score on table shutout brady being hate each other think fan. This week was retweeting. People really should take november and that was one of about how someone should be fired media person. That's me they were just re tweeting opening day. Doesn't get to say. I love it. Yeah that's that's half. The fun of this season has been just rubbing salt in their wounds man because people talk crap all the way up until the bye week. Coming out of the bye week. Yeah where we started. Going on the winning streak. That's when everybody went. We stop talking crap about these kinds. Steamroller i watched or listened to the interview with sean murphy on pat mcafee and it was so interesting to hear. He's a really interesting character. He's a cool a cool gone and this really has nothing to do with what we're talking about just came to my mind. But he didn't know this but he is shameless. His cousin like i had no idea. I had known that jordan white have is drought releases. But no we gotta go back through our notes. Because i swear we said that a couple years ago but yeah i would you brought it up. I was like yeah. I didn't know that. Yeah anything about that but pat mcafee asked him about the team and it just seems like we're all like such a tight knit group and he said that you know they. They are just so tight. And they hold each other accountable. But they're like supportive of each other and they make each other better and he said the notion of tom brady into the locker room impact. Just the offense but the defense because would go to a lot of these younger guys on the defense and go. Hey you need to look at. This guy has a really interesting technique. That i think that you could including your game. Or he's just seen so much football you just such a dearth football knowledge that he's able to work with some of the young guys too and so it's pretty interesting. He they get rolled chippy with each other on offense and defense during practices. Like they all talk. Tom brady brought up an interesting point. That i didn't think about that. You know because of the corona virus. This year he has not been able to build up a bond with defensive players like he normally likes to do because they're separated. You know you can't hang out with players like you have been able to previous years. And so he hasn't been able to spend time with defensive. Units or even a lot of the offense of units so the team is not as cohesive would have been without crovitz. Now think about that next year. Almo god i mean we made it to the super bowl this year with corona virus with no off season with tom brady coming in learning a whole new offense for the first time in his career with rob gronkowski. Doing the same thing bringing it in tonio brown in and we made it to the super bowl with this man with the coronavirus and everything you these players. Not having the bonding that they're used to. What's it gonna be like next year win if all the stuff doesn't go away and they can start having dinners to gather together and bonding and spending time in each other's Rooms when they're having the defensive backs in our watching film. Tom brady comes in starts. He can't do that now. But i mean come on man we are going. We might win two super bowls back. I don't see anybody in the league. That can that's comparable to us now now. There's a full well rounded team like now with the salary cap. Come in the saints are done. I mean there. What over a hundred million over the cap. They're they're done. We're we're going to be tough spot to. I think we're going to see a lot of players take cuts to stay with this team. Picks out cuts. Jason light said the other day talking about our front office and that guy greenberg jeff. Jeff greenburg master. He's just like a master at dealing with salary cap issues and he's not. We're not gonna have a problem. i hope. Not but if the salary cap is one hundred and forty five million next year like they say it's going to be that's fifty million almost sixty million less than it is this year and so many teams are going to have to and they're going to be jettison veteran players. It's going to be horrible for the veterans that they're going to figure something out you know the league wide because they can't. They just can't do that but i think are the big canary in the coal. Mine is going to be the dominicana su. If he stays here you know he's he's been taking one year contracts right if he stays here it takes a cut. It is pay. That's going to be a huge signed. That man this team is they're gearing for another super bowl because dot com sue. He's he's a mercenary. he's ahead on her. He goes where the mind. Yes thank god for the money. And i think he's going from the more the money i think if he stays and takes a cut that's going to be a moment because he is building up you know pointed out in the podcast and on videos you know most of the young guys on defense especial defensive line. They just. They swarm around him. You know i mean. He is the de facto leader on a defensive line and if he stays to continue mentoring and being the foresee years it takes a cut. That's going to send a huge message to everybody else. You know it's gonna yeah. I'm really excited to see. Nobody won the super bowl..

"He did have one play where he just steamrolled. Lucas steam rolled right over top of and the guy had no no answer to him whatsoever but he was. He was generally pretty quiet but he you know he's very solid. He had a couple of times. We got knocked off his feet. He's he's just gotta get his game is game back on he's going to. He's going to be a dominant force in the super bowl. We're gonna talk about that. I mean the city's offensive line is nothing compared to the washing redskins offensive line that we played over the best that we played aussies nothing and green bay line. I think it's better than king sitting canes. We'll talk about this whole it'll be running for his life. No doubt about a anyhow. Yeah got to give credit to defensive line. They were the stars of the game. Surprisingly on offense godwin with great. Yeah he had one dropped pass. I gave him to originally. But like i said the second one i saw. He got his arms. Were being held down by the defender. I don't know how to call them. And then but he did so much good stuff you've done great blocking and made a great catches in that one. Nineteen yard catch. He caught on. I think it was the third down. Who is the speed tests circus. Cats you know antastic and he did that right after he dropped. Pass so on offense. I'm getting ya always give to brady. He just plays great. He's awesome quarterback he's the reason our offensive line played great. They gave us a lot more trouble than i expected. That guy kenny clarke number ninety seven good. Yeah he gave everybody on. Our offense allowed a hard time especially tiny steady. That brings me want to get to this. I was. I was going to bring it up in the fact checks. Follow so i forgot I love everybody's comments in our on our youtube videos and stuff. But i can't comment back. I don't know what it is with youtube but it doesn't allow me to comment back. I've tried five. Different browsers won't let me do it. Amal could do. You could do it on the on the app on the act right. I don't have the apple phones. So i can't come back to you guys adopt but i do appreciate all the comments especially the ones that are like this. Is these great videos. I'll look forward to these all week and all that good stuff. I love that. Appreciate a guys. I just wanna let you know that i'm not ignoring you. The means a lot to me to give comments where you get a little bit criticism and the one that we've gotten this week. I think we had a couple of people talking about my annunciation. Or my pronouncements of names drives people crazy. You are correct. I'm absolutely horrible about death and have been all my life. I'm just. I'm horrible at remembering names. Rows moms like that and taylor names from yeah She watched that movie with christina ricci. She's a keynote. The girl with the pig nose penal. Oh people yeah have. Y'all seen yet. We're what is took me about a second hour. And all that movie penelope okay but like you can say it like peanut yes. I'll blame bob for that. But i do. Butcher names always been horrible about it. And even when i get told the correct pronunciation noise ask road. I'm gonna say it the way. I want to say the say. Jamal deen all the time right. It's jamal and i've correct right. Nassib carl nasa. You saw calling the seib like that. I like to make up. Names of guys keith. Tandy always called teeth candy. It's just what i do. I'm going to try to get better at guys. Because i do understand. It is disrespectful players and it is aggravating. Some people like you know. I call Lazard all the way through the videos. I call him lizard. It's not lazard lazard. thank. I don't know i call. Is it because it reminds me a lizard. That's how i would say last earn. I had a girl in high school. Her name was berlin. And i don't know what it was but my brain can never spit that out. Always matt line and think everyone always likes me. Always number name and i just i just couldn't my brain just wasn't happening. Yeah well you know. It is disrespectful. And i used to only say numbers especially to the opponents. You know when. I do the video that's l. Here's forty-seven whatever and everybody was like all it'd be nice if you would say their names skin. I had the star. Say it's kind of understand why you never said the name right now. I hope they understand little better. I just call it. Outnumbers hard to mispronounce of member. So i'm going to get better guys. And i do appreciate any criticism. I i love criticism. There'll be a jerk about it. I don't know right molly does me. I love constructive criticism. So i will get better at that. I apologize to it What what. I have to do when i do these videos. I have a sheet up with all the opponent players and their positions. So i have to look up every time. Something happens. gonna go that. She'd find out now. I've got to get the pronunciations. So i think pro. Football reference has the pronunciations on there. So i think even have it where you could like. Listen to try to be a lot better for. It is a little bit. But we're work what it's better makes for a better video again. I do appreciate guys. Let me know all that. So anyhow laser any other steadier stymie steamy. Steady like phonetically. Can you just look at a target in trouble. Time lakes tiny as it would be like an e. I i was raised on hooked on phonics i was. It didn't exist for your language before. I was born brunch. Yeah he got kenny clarke ninety seven. He's very good. I mean he gave our offensive line a lot of trouble so did a fifty five the various. I think it was his name. Smith's their smith. Yeah he was bringing into the. They gave us a little bit more trouble than i expected. But tom brady is just so damn good at when he when he knows pressures comedy get smaller many throws throws you know he's not wanted in dirt. He's not throwing it away. He's throwing it you know to wear. It can be caught it. It's incredible how good he is that his pocket presence is just masterful elite elite level in my notes. I have that sixty forced the first series wasn't so good the saccone brady evans very strange play. They were deep and they did like a cross deep but they ended up running into each other playland desa few weeks ago where they like. I don't know if it was three or two or three. The receivers kind across like that in it ended up knocking the defenders into each other. It seemed like they were trying to do that but they instead. Yeah it's exactly what it looked like and gronk ended up on the ground which is funny ever does the big gaba gronk lot bigger but it was cracked it ended up on. The elliott slammed right into each other. And i think it gets kinda shocked brady. And that's and he got sacked because he was he was wait for that. Play to develop and when it happened. He was just plain. We got sacked immediately. Wasn't playing the there was but i think it was. Just i think everybody on the field was like whoa check. that out. trailer pointed out in the video. Also sue he'd lined up inside linebacker position. A handful of times. That was interesting. He would be the line linebacker about three or four yards normally. Where about david or devon white is when they snapped the ball. He'd rushed.
