"Time to rise and grind Keyshawn J will and stupid At What point does this get tiresome? Aaron Rodgers and just the back and forth that now we're dealing with Murphy is the one who said better. We leave things private. We talked private. And then he's just out there. Just saying everything publicly and now Erin's back to, but it only is it only ends one way, right. Okay in two ways, basically one way. You see the air Rogers is going back to play for the Green Bay Packers is getting traded. We see these things every single year with some athletes somewhere. We went through it. With Dat Prescott. Oh, they did put him in a video. What does that mean? Oh, he didn't say this. His brothers mad. Oh, Jerry Jo said that Oh, Russell Wilson wants to trade to the Cowboys. And then, in the end, he got his money. Aaron Rodgers 'Still Wants Out,' NFL Insider Says

"NFL reporter. He's all over the place, he says. Rogers. His mindset has not changed. The wants out without a doubt, absolutely, still wants out. They didn't suddenly come out and insults him ago. Okay, how it's fixed. I guess they wouldn't make much sense. Your I guess it wouldn't make sense. You're right and call them complicated. All right. So now what if he's not If he's still not happy, and he still expects something to happen. What does that mean? It doesn't mean that teams haven't been calling every time somebody called the Packers. It was immediately shut out. So, look, what these teams need to do is continue to call and continue to call whether for him to show watch any of the guys like continue to call to show interest because what happens in the NFL teams are so afraid to make the first call, because you they think you lose your leverage. So Glaser on the Pat McAfee show. Discussing all of this. So a couple of dates coming up Packers calendar, of course. Training camp starts July 27th, But he will be playing golf on TV with an outspoken individual named Tom Brady, who likes the rib and poke and jibe. And I'm guessing we'll hear something then as well. I've already proved that Tom Brady

"Where the Nets well, let's be honestly kind of hung around for a little bit. And they said, We're okay. Losing by tens long as escape goes 14 89 is the final. You honest with a big night, but this belongs to Chris Middleton, who had a huge game. As the books and nets are headed to Game seven. We got Ryan Hollins coming up in a few minutes to break down all the big news in the NBA with us. We got Zion Williamson. His family reportedly wants him out of New Orleans. Luke advantages now a coach, killer, coach. Killer look good on stage Coach. Killer give. Uh but I do want to say this because I have been ready and wanting to do this story all day long. I want to do this story Since this story happened. I have wanted to do this story. I'm very now See, you're taking the easy way because you know, I've got a long monologue, but I can't do it as soon as Hollins is on the phone jerk. So today, there was a pretty big going on in the National Football League involving the Chicago Bears Well, and first, the story comes out that the Chicago Bears are potentially looking at moving away from Soldier field. Wait, what they are looking at other property to, potentially by and look social Field has been their home now, you know, since the seventies, but now they could be wanting to move 35 miles outside of Chicago. Well. Mayor Lori Lightfoot, who is at a lot of stuff she's been dealing with the past few months in Chicago, weighed in by saying that this was a negotiating tactic which, you know look, no one's surprised at that, because whenever teams say, Hey, we might want to move it. Let's get a sweeter deal from the city this day where we are really don't want to move. So I get that part of it. But then she throws in at the end in a statement that she put out that she then deleted off Twitter. But it doesn't matter. Once you put something out, you mean after she was put the first draft out where she misspelled soldier. It's a solider field solider. It's a It's a more solid for you know what if they get away from the Chicago Park District? It's district. It will be a solider field. Because you actually have control over the playing surface solider means more solid. So she puts out a statement about. Hey, this is something a negotiating tactic The Bears have used before. Uh and and she goes on to say as a season ticket holder and longtime Bears fan. I'm committed to keeping the Chicago name on our football team. This is the best part. And like most bears fans, we want the organization to focus on putting a winning team on the field, beating the Packers finally and being relevant past October. Everything else is noise. Shots fired Lori Lightfoot. Latest bully effort by Lori Lightfoot for those unaware of handling in Chicago, but go ahead, this statement was deleted. But like I said, once you put it out there, it lives forever. And here she is saying, Let's focus on putting a winning team on the field, beating the Packers finally which, if they're starting Jordan love, you're going to beat the Packers twice, and it won't even be close. And it doesn't matter who's playing quarterback and finally being relevant past October. Everything else is noise. And this is this is so awesome, And I just knew when you saw this story, it was like you're inside like I grabbed your small intestine, and I just started squeezing it because I knew that's how you're inside. We're going to feel reading this story. Well, here's the thing. The story makes sense. The moved Arlington Heights Makes sense for a million different reasons. But again, we're trying to a we're going to have Hollande's here so I can't do the long monologue here. A reaction of the an elected official To go into this petty, nonsensical thing, which you know, in her terms. You know if you're going to say negotiating, Isn't that what you're trying to do? You're playing bully ball here with your blue checkmark pulpit. That's kind of how she's run. Chicago, uh, since he's taken office as well, But in this particular case, it's a bad look for her bad strategy. And for the Bears. Yeah, this has been long rumored are of the racetrack there is in its final year. And so now you potentially have a lot of land and you'd get to call your own shots. But I can get into the particulars of leases and other stuff she tried to raise, which are just silly by In a million different ways as anybody that's taken two minutes of a business class will tell you all right now. Here's what I've been waiting for All day, buddy now. Yeah, Go ahead, buddy. How would I'll do that in a video on my own time? Because it's very nuanced. It's got a lot of numbers and facts and figures. Folks look forward and at swollen dome a little later on that you need like a power point presentation and stuff like that. You can I can I just say one thing. She talks about the least till 2033. I'll do this one point because they have a lead. Until 2033. I think they'll make that up. Think they'll make that up. Mayor if they leave and go to early tonight. I think the math is pretty easy because you know what? You're not getting season tickets for 300 bucks, either. Twitter. And how about a fresco might get swollen dome? I will have to wait to go. Did I filibuster enough? Yes, you get you gave enough. "Strikes out. looking yankee. Third base coach. Phil nevin was irate. Got thrown out either way. We go to extras tied at four top. Ten at fluey sesa during the pitching and a three to count. That's called the ball. And gary sanchez can't believe it. The yankees are frustrated. And then they would like this. Even last two onto that zander bogart's a basic both run score and the red sox winning six four completing the sweep again. It's the first time. The red sox walk into yankee stadium and leave with a sweep in a decade prior to this series. Boston lost eleven straight away games against the bombers. Moreover the red sox have now won five straight extra inning games at yankee stadium. We'll talk more about that later. Meanwhile now let's talk about this. Tomorrow is a significant day. In the development of the aaron rodgers sodden it is the first of three consecutive days of packers mandatory minicamp in his monthly column. Packers president. "You've got to win the championship to shoot. Keep your job where you've got to get to the NBA Finals where the conference finals. We're in the conference semifinals right now against a team that could turn out to be historically great, certainly historically talented team, But I think the feeling for Bud and Bud future was the season can't end in the thought. You can listen to the world's part on the ESPN F or wherever you listen to podcast. What those outside of the Pfizer forum there the Deer District. It's called in Milwaukee. It's going to be lively three game seven people will be in good shape. One way or another. People will be enjoying your beverages. It will be a party like atmosphere. But no, there's just pure fear heading into a game seven and Aaron, you mentioned it. Five and one for the under so far in this series, with the under winning by an average of a 20 point margin, So the offensive explosion we expected not there, but the Bucks. Fans hoping for Bucks offensive explosion on Game seven not expecting it Greg, We got 30 seconds. I just made you a sports God for the state of Wisconsin. You can have one. The Bucks win Game seven or Rogers makes up with the Packers. Which would you rather Bucks win Game seven because ultimately I think whoever wins this series wins the NBA Finals as much as important as Rogers is to the entire state of Wisconsin doesn't guarantee a Super Bowl victory. So give me the Bucks and seven Oh, don't tell Aaron Rodgers that that's how you answered that question. I think it's just going to make his relationship with Packer fans even worse. Appreciate it. Thank you, Greg. Thanks, guys. That's Greg Scalzo joining us on the Goodyear hotline. That answer surprised me, Courtney. I thought that Packer fans would want their franchise quarterback back. But that Deer district does look crazy. And I imagine the spotted cow is going to be flowing out of Milwaukee on On Saturday night as they get ready for a Game seven and what I think Courtney is one of their biggest games in franchise history, going all the way back to the Lew Alcindor and Kareem Abdul Jabbar games. They went tonight one Oh 4 89 in Game six, and they have forced Game seven. Next Saturday. This Saturday in Brooklyn up next. How much did Game five impact the Nets tonight? Their coach address that we hear from him on ESPN Radio and the ESPN app. Coming up Friday. What Are the Quirks That Come With Being a Developer

"Let's start with you telling us about your coding journey. Where they're all begin for you. I i started getting into coating during college. I started out as a psychology major and was pretty intent on finishing up. Undergrad getting a master's degree and being a counselor About couple years into it. I realized i liked the more hard science a lot. Better than sort of the sop science and social science part of it. And i had taken a statistics class. Like just a psychology stats. Class really looked to that. So i got into statistics and changed my major to that and at that point i had to take a bunch of like stats computing type glasses. So for instance statisticians tend to use programming languages like our or sass or even just like sql database management. And so that was really my first introduction to programming at that point. Like i realized if i to look at the t. between statistics and computer science actually like program a lot more than i liked the stats part of it. Nah i landed up graduating with degrees statistics. During that time. I just did a ton of learning on my own. Did a lot of like could academy courses recode cam fluoro- site videos whole time. Packer rank exercises. I even read through twenty programming textbooks now on just java script html and just building stuff just trying to make little side project snack things together. And after i graduated from college. I landed my first programming job. So what was it about that stats class. And then getting into programming. That resonated with you so is taking ard says stats programming. Which are and it was really amazing. Nina we could like run simulations and experiments just for typing a few lines of co dried. We could run simulations of very simple things like let's flip the coin hundred times and see how many times it lands heads or tails or even just like data visualization like we have data set and using just a few lines of code. You could use like a stats package like something like g plot to create this beautiful chart. That was really cool that you could like essentially build something out of basically nothing

How Eminem Helped Save Detroit

"The year is two thousand eleven. The event super bowl forty-five the pittsburgh steelers versus the green bay packers. Aaron rodgers was mvp. Christina aguilera sang the national anthem. The black eyed peas performed the halftime show in truly fergus. Fashion it was peak. Two thousand ten's in every way but the biggest moment of the event was an epic two minute commercial titled born of fire better known by its catchphrase imported from detroit as marshall eminem. Mathers drives a chrysler. Two hundred through darkly lit detroit streets and an instrumental version of his song. Lose yourself plays in the background. A gritty male voice growls. What does a town. That's been to hell and back know about the finer things in life will. I'll tell you more than most you see. It's the hottest fires that make the hardest steel and hard work and conviction and the know how that runs generations deep in every last one of us that we. That's our story now. It's probably not the one you've been reading in the papers. The one being written by folks who've never even pin here don't know what we're capable of marshall. Eminem mathers parks chrysler outside. Detroit's fox theater inside a black choir. Ads their voices to the music from the stage as marshall walks down the isle onstage. The rapper turns the cameron. Says this is the motor city and this is what we do. The what we do was clear. Detroit has always been the center of american car manufacturing. But how did the city get to the point of needing a super bowl ad to sell itself. What was the helen. Back referenced in the ad and what was the story written in the papers. It was false then. Was there a true version. Ready to be uncovered

Receivers to Target in the Late Rounds of your Dynasty Rookie Draft - burst 05

"Was drafted another god. I'm fairly high on From clemson at cal. I'll let you discuss him. I think about what rogers. I'm not nearly as high on rogers as they consis I think a lot of people saw him when he went to green bay. I think everybody's been so ready for the green bay packers to have another wide receiver inserted in the draft. You know and we're just intimidating in anticipating but you know. I really don't think amari rogers profiles is the number two wide receiver in the fact. That rogers is a situation is so up in the air to say the the to say the least you know. I am not projecting broader. You're gonna be there long term and if that's the case you know is jordan love gonna be all support a wide receiver you know. Are we even sure that amari rogers is better than allen. Lazard now is dead fund as the guy that they went out and got in free agency it to be the number to receiver going into last year before he opted out. You know he's back on the roster as well and he's only twenty seven years old. I think people are really forgetting about devin. Funchess to be honest with you You know this is a guy that has already been a top twenty wide receiver in his career. So i think there's a lot more competition in green bay than a lot of people are are are getting Giving them credit for and The roger situation really makes me uneasy. Amaury writers has some talent. I i just don't think he's anything special. I just think that he's at best a middle level starter of the nfl. And i don't see much of a window of him being much higher especially as long as davante adams is on that team. 'cause i just don't see that the target share i mean it's a. It's a team that clearly wants to run the ball as much as possible. So i'm not nearly as how marta riders. I i know a lot of people are people are taking them in mid second rounds now and i think that that's a mistake. I think he was the best of water. She would come out clemson for the tape stuff that i watch. Those are good points. There's a reason as to why. I say fairly high. It's because i have a lot of the same reservation that you do. But and i do. I'm generally concerned about aaron rodgers in the future in green bay with the quarterback situation. But i have to look back at amari rogers talent and what he did in his last year and clemson and what he did was ball out in my opinion. Seventy seven receptions. Thousand twenty yards seven touchdowns. Yes he had. Trevor lawrence thong him. The ball but still in a shortened season are very impressive. Numbers and amari. Rogers is a guy that has pretty much been undervalued this entire process and now all of a sudden he's going green bay people hiding him and i'm not high on him because he's going to green by on more high in him because of the talent and the potential that i see and i do think that he has the potential to be the number two receiver in green bay S a good gig. Because even if aaron rodgers is not there in a long term disturbance excellence head coach matt floor and they still have a quarterback enjoy jordan love and we really don't we haven't seen much from during love so we can't make a lot of assumptions. But he was still you still first round pick in an quarterback the has a lot of potential people were comparing him to patrick mahomes and he. He was more of a quarterback they just needed to be developed. So i think that. I think that there's a good chance that jordan love could turn into a successful quarterback if the packers ended up do and not Having rogers under center. So i think the during the love isn't a terrible option there and lathered and function function all could be a lot number two receiver in that office. But i think long term that amari. Rogers is the better prospect for may so that is why i tend to be a little bit higher on the mar bader's

"The end. Game is only to end games. Rich he playing for the packers or he has forced to trade but if he does force a trade. I hope he's confined a team. He doesn't taste your door to. That's right he only controls one of them can control the other one he can. He can control if he comes back and plays but he can't control if they train them or not and if they say you know you can pout. All you want you consider if that's what you want. We're not trading you. then he his hand is forced. And but what does the aaron rodgers who doesn't wanna be there. Look like when he's out on the field. I think what she gets out there. I will say i've done a couple of things recently. Where it certainly felt like things were a little more back to normal which was really fun. You know being out to dinner out with a group of people and it felt like more normal although i think i saw a tweet right before we started the show where pennsylvania actually had an uptick in cases last week. So i don't know. I guess i would say if you're going to go back to normal and you're going to go back to doing things like that with other people and social gatherings. Hopefully you're vaccinated. I'm not here to make any judgments or anything. I just don't want you guys to get covid so or if you get it to get sick so if you're gonna go back normal hopefully you already got back state. How Infrastructure as Code Is Accelerating Cloud Adoption

"Welcome everyone to another episode of. It visionaries and today we have the vice president of engineering. And has she core pretty small pretty welcome to the show. Thanks matt super excited about chatting today all right. let's get right to it. How she court and its suite of products or some of the most popular products. In that i've ever heard about in Among the developer community. So everyone i know that is a full stack developer or back end. Developer is using a hash core product at some level for those. That don't know what you guys do. What is ashi core. And what are some of the products. And why do you think is become such a standard in the development community. Yeah awesome. Let's start with that. So how she is a company. That is really focused on helping customers on their journey to cloud no digital transformation is top of mind and it really depends the way that applications are being billed is no longer have sort of the traditional data centers in data methods of operating. And so are chronic. Swede is essentially helping customers on that journey when you think of us we were really founded as an open source software company and we have eight organ source projects today and these projects really kind of play different roles in that journey for the cloud operating model the first set of products really around helping developers kind of in their lifetime time environment in building images and those are aikman and packer. Richardson packer almost become household names in any developer community. Now we followed that with the tax reform and tear form is used to essentially provision your infrastructure.

Do Green Bay Packers need to recommit to Aaron Rodgers?

"Now. Some people are speculating. Maybe about this year but aaron rodgers is just being stubborn and he wants to make some more money and you might say well. Wait a minute. Rj hasn't tom brady tatis all than taking less money. Helps you win. yeah. I think so. But there's another way for the packers to gain spending power. No tom brady. Didn't care about. Robert kraft keeping the money instead of him. Not at all when he cared about was the salary cap. There's a finite amount of money you can spend and yeah you can kick the can down the road the saints showing you that but it eventually comes. Do look at big band this year and what he was due and thus the salary cap is the constraining variable. It's the thing that constrains the limiting factor. So aaron rodgers could have and the packers could have renegotiate his contract and then made it where the money that went against the cap this year got deferred some of it. But you don't get to do that for free. What happens is it takes a further commitment down the road. So you can pay aaron rodgers for two more years or three more years and if you do three you can pay them less this year at least salary cap wise. So what's the tradeoff. Want more commitment better now.

"packers" Discussed on Mornings with Keyshawn, Jorge & LZ

"That was key this morning. Essentially saying look. The packers are coming off a loss. The last time they came off and embarrassing loss to the bucks they rolled over. The texans often embarrassing loss to the vikings. We'll see what they do with the niners tonight. They certainly appear to be in the driver's seat at the quarterback position. Let's talk about both teams and go inside the match beginning with rob demovsky who covers the packers for espn. Let's go priorities over. Pigskin i rob. What's the latest on all the packers and their covert cases. They're dealing with here so they had On outbreak in the running back room where. Ha dillon who was their rookie. Second round pick tested positive and therefore by close contact jamaal williams Is also now on the kobe. Listen here's the problem that those guys were the top two running backs last week because jones was out with a calf injury and jones is questionable for tonight and it does not look great for him to play tonight so they only have one other running back on the roster. That's tyler ervin. Who's basically they're kick returner they will probably elevate Dexter williams from the practice squad but it is not a lot of experience in the running back going into tonight. Rob tell us a little bit about aaron rodgers reaction to the team not acquiring a wide receiver before the three dead. Yeah great question. We got him On tuesday about two hours before the deadline and he had a great You know politically correct answer in the sense that hey if we ask somebody will work a if we don't well it's business as usual and at of course it was business as usual Because they didn't add anybody in our colleague. Dan grassy yano in his winners and losers piece on espn dot com puts it perfectly. He said no trade for the packers. Packers gonna packer. Because that's just what they see. Packers gonna pack your well said very twenty twenty of you. Speaking of espn dot com. Look for all your packers work on the nfl nation page. Thank you very much rob all right. Thanks guys thanks all right next up. Nick wagner his colleague. he's all over. The forty niners joins us this morning. Nick i know the forty niners are a five hundred team exceeding expectations despite being decimated but the fact remains they went to the super bowl last year so in relative terms what has gone wrong for them. This season relative terms being the operative there of course based on the injuries and and that obviously is where you have to start. If you can't ignore it it is completely wipe them out even just going into tonight. You know every single player that touched the ball of the nfc championship game. Which wasn't that long ago. It was january twentieth against the packers. Isn't going to be suiting up for the forty niners tonight. So that's where you start. I think the other part of the equation here guys is. They've just kind of struggled to regain the identity that they had last year where it was so built around being able to run the ball consistently well week to week and play great defense especially with that pass rush the pass rush of course has been hurt. The most possibly by injury you know. That's that's one that you could debate. I'm sure but everything that they do. The whole team spins off being able to pressure with those front four guys when they can't do it it changes everything they do defensively and it changes everything they do offensively to because they can't just rely on that group to lead the way. The offense and getting the job done nick. What is the future for jimmy g. and the quarterback position for the forty niners. Yeah it's it's the question of the day is probably going to be the question of the next six months or so j. It's it's it's one of those things right now where i think you have to look at it. Just through the scope of this and this is putting aside whatever you think about him as a player talent wise. Because i know he's polarizing in that way some people think you get the job done so people take you can't put that aside for a second and just look at the injuries and the money always follow the money Lester freeman told us that on the wire longtime ago. It's a great lesson but jimmy garoppolo is scheduled to make twenty seven million dollars. Gets the caf each of the next two years. That's a really high price tag anyway but it is especially when the salary cap is set to drop after this season and for a guy who at the end of this year. If he doesn't play another game which is a very realistic possibility. Well if only appeared in twenty three. I'm sorry we'll have missed. Twenty three games over the last Seasons and so. That's something that i think. The niners are going to really have to take into consideration. They can't sit around and flounder waiting for a quarterback who may not be on the field and and though that's kind of where the rubber is going to have to meet the road of course figuring that out. You're always going to have to find somebody better if you're going to move on from him and that's the question that they're going to have to really investigate over the next few months no doubt s after especially that lineage of quarterback that they've had over the years from montana to young who won super bowls. Jimmy g got to one may not have a chance to get to another by the bay. We'll see nick. Thanks very much for the perspective..

"packers" Discussed on Mornings with Keyshawn, Jorge & LZ

"Schefter on the shell pennzoil performance line to perhaps add a little perspective. Just the latest facility. Obviously the titans had a protracted absence teams like the colts. Were just down for a day. And has adam said the texans for the day. He joins us this morning. Adam anything more you can add from your contacts. Well good morning zubin. We've seen this happen before we see it happened on an almost daily basis. Now around the nfl. The colts are having practice. Even though someone from the staff of indianapolis has been sent home today to the covid protocols. The texans are dealing with that shutting down there facility today in working. Virtually we saw what happened in san francisco yesterday with the forty niners shutting down their facility the day before they host the green bay packers tonight on thursday night football. This is our new reality. This is the world of the nfl where it happens on an almost daily basis and whereas this used to incite some hysteria early in the season is the game going to be on. Is the game going to be played. I think we've come to understand how this works. The teams take the necessary precautions. They hoped to contain the spread of the virus. They hope the individuals are okay and the games go on by and large unless there seems to be some outbreak that is something the nfl struggles to control the games. Continue and i would imagine that will be the case in houston but obviously the league and the players association will be monitoring the situation. Adam you're correct gains. Do go on and speaking of a game tonight. The san francisco forty nine is green bay. Packers green bay had some issues of their own as well as the forty niners. What do you think in terms of the deadline trade deadline. What are you hearing that. The wind packers didn't make any moves on the offense aside a ball as well as defense key. I think there was a lot more. Talk to what the packers were doing than what the packers did. They usually are not an overly aggressive team around the trade deadline. They make kohl's like other teams. They do their diligence. Like other teams but matt leflore. The packers coach said this week that he didn't think anything got close. I'm gonna take him at his word. My understanding is that nothing got close as well and so there were conversations. They were checking on players. They were seeing if they could add help. But don't forget it looks like they're going to be getting back allen lazard here pretty soon so that will be an added wide receiver who is playing very well before he got her. And if you mix them in with davante adams and marquez valdes scantling all these other players devon green bay. It's not like they're bereft of weapons. Could they use more help. Shore what couldn't. But i don't think the packers got as close and i don't think there was much movement as there was conversation about what they were doing adam. Worst lezo matthew stafford. Here's what happened k. Basically on monday he came into contact with a non team member and then was deemed a high risk close contact to someone who did have the virus and so he was placed on reserve covert nine thousand nine. He's not practicing this week. He has to go through five days of testing worry tests negative assuming he tested negative which again will find out here in the coming days then he would be eligible to come off. The reserve. covid lists this weekend and play against the minnesota vikings. If one of those tests comes back positive being that he was in contact to somebody then it would be chased dangled. Who's taking the reps this week as the lion starting quarterback but as of right now i think they think they believe that they'll get back stafford this weekend and he'll be facing the vikings albeit in a week in which he didn't go through any practice surf the how teams pull this off. I've been hearing about the forty niners once. They shut down facilities. Hey we're going to everything. Virtually i was super matt. Stafford going through everything virtually. How does that actually work. Virtually and then just coming in and playing the game while they're going through meetings in zoom sessions the way that they would be going through meetings in person jay and so whatever they do in meetings in key would know that better than i but whatever. They're going through assignments and tendencies game plans. They're just doing it on the computer. Like so many of us are doing computers. We'd espn. We have production meetings on the computer instead of having them impersonal. Where we used to and it's the same thing for these football teams and so many people in society today. They're doing conference calls meetings. That would happen in person are being held. Virtually and so no different for these football teams. They're going over everything in these meetings in person it just on the computer. So what's the latest buzz around the cowboys. Decision to possibly start cooper rush or garrett gilbert the quarterback position. They want to go through the week. They wanna take a look at both quarterback they wanna see what they have garrett. Gilbert was winter team this summer cooper officers with the team in the past. Now my sense just a guess. A guess would be that. It's cooper rush because he's got a little bit more experience with that team and after seeing bend nucci a guy making his first. nfl start. On sunday night. I think they feel a little more comfortable in that regard. But again maybe garrett gilbert will impress them enough during the week to win the job bottom line here whether it's gilbert or rush this'll be the dallas cowboys fourth different starting quarterback in the past month. Now if you're starting four different quarterbacks. I don't care which team it is. You're in trouble and if you're doing your fourth quarter back against the pittsburgh steelers. Good luck with that like. That's not exactly a recipe for success in the nfl. Going to your fourth different quarterback against the pittsburgh steelers and tried to keep below keep alive your dwindling playoff hopes in the nfc east. Adam i know you hate me for this but i gotta do it and you're probably punch me when you see me what's going to happen. Jimmy garoppolo in san francisco now. Now that he's down for at least six games and in the future about thirty seconds here. Well you got a situation here. Where basically he still is going through opinions. If you need surgeries out for the year i think with the situation..

"Taking care prioritizing Dak Prescott it's an insult to Dak Prescott and what's annoying me about all of these pundits everybody that talks about this stuff on a I understand everybody's football knowledge. I UNDERSTAND IMPLICATIONS. I understand you know long term versus short term before year deal instead of a five year deal and Dak Prescott going back and forth because he wants to be a free agent after the fourth year. That way he can position himself to get a boatload of money down the line and Jerry Jones might be fighting all of that. All I get all of that. My issue is very simple. If this were Tony Romo same numbers. Same Reckitt same situation. You would have signed him by now. That's my problem and I'm not GonNa let that go because nobody wants to bring that up. That is the issue to me. The issue to me is that Tony Romo would have been signed. Dak Prescott came into the National Football League as a fourth round pick. Tony Romo was hurt. That Prescott played lights out during a preseason started off the season was flat out ball and people were contemplating Tony Romo coming back and everybody and their grandmother knew that this was Dak Prescott team even guys that were used to play and win super bowl championships for the Dallas cowboys. New Tony Romo's Day was up in Dallas because Adak Prescott. Everyone was willing to concede that but one man and that was Jerry Jones who would not budge who kept going in front of the media week after week. Giving it to Tony Romo could be back. We're excited we haven't given up. You know this is his team etc. Such you hesitate it until the Lebed. Our fifty nine th minute to give back Prescott. The keys to the to the franchise. And now that he's earned it leading..

"Don't deserve any credit for this whatsoever. They're late to the party. They were willing to exploit these kids at every turn and any kind of adjustments that they're willing to make right now is basically them being forced to do so not doing their own volition. They don't deserve any credit for anything that they're contemplating. I love what these players are doing. And here's the biggest reason I love it. Jay and Max. My mentality is very very simple. Everybody ain't equal no matter how we try to slice it. There's a level of respect and decorum everybody is human being should be accorded but to act like a superstar athlete. Coming out of high school should be recognized the same as the bench. Warmer is ludicrous. I take your take on. Espn RADIO ESPN news. Stephen it makes a lot of sense with that and I'm not here to suddenly praised. The incidentally for any of the name and likeness conversation but there is a real conversation about what all this means moving forward if the best of the best go to the G. League there's still a whole crop of kids that are going to go to. Ncw basketball and I can't stress that enough. Even all of the five star and four star recruits in the entire world. Decide they're going to go direct to the G. League. Let's acknowledge that if you're Duke? Fan As long as your school is recruiting better of the best of the recruits than North Carolina. You don't care and maybe get some of these kids to stay longer which allows fan bases to buy into it more. I think this can be a win for everybody across the board but I think we need a better understanding of exactly what the G. League is and what it means for everybody so for that. There's one front office insider. I lied on too much. I'm pretty sure that he's got me flagged on his phone. Because I feel like every time I text bobby marks. It's for some sort of clarity so I'm GONNA have bobby do this force on the Espn Front Office Center. Bobby marks joins us. Bob Hope you and yours. Thanks for the time man. I appreciate it and I'm trying to wrap my head around the G. League and what it actually is and how it works so walk me through from a front office executive my mind when you see somebody go to the G. League. What does that mean for your team? Yeah I mean I think from an MBA perspective. It's it's it's a select team of elite high school players that you want to go under the NBA umbrella and develop under NBA coaches and trainers and also have a financial component coming to them. Instead of going to college for a season. I think I think the hard part Jason from an NBA teams perspective is the evaluation period. Here right instead of seeing Jalen Green at University of Memphis for thirty games and the NCAA tournament during the course of the year or even during practise like the selecting of the G. League players is going to play what ten to twelve exhibition games during the course of the year. Maybe some other games against some international teams here. So I think there's a little bit of a A small body of work as far as That you're going to evaluate I think from an MBA perspective. I think They can the G. League in the NBA can get as many talented top fifteen blue chip prospect. But if they don't hire the right coach and have the right training staff. There is going to be a major failure. I mean that's that I don't care how much money they're paying these players. So I think we're kind of still in a little bit of a wait and see mode as far as what is the actual structure as far as this G. League select team is going to be. I think it's a lot different than you know team. Usa having a team up in Colorado Springs up select high school players. They were going to develop in there. Because you know that that process is going to work compared to Kinda wear where the G. League is right now. So let's take money out of the equation entirely without money being part of the conversation. Is there a true benefit to these players? Considering the coaching and the facilities and the brand recognition they can get in college basketball. What's their benefit than money of going to the G. League? I don't see if I don't see the benefit I really don't I mean I think I mean if you're asking me do I WANNA go train under developed under coach K. or coach Calipari or bill sell in play at Kansas Kentucky. Duke and know that these coaches have a proven track record even if it's a one and done To develop an intern. You know high school kids into prose. I mean that's that's the benefit for me if I'm advising a student rather than going to They're going to the G I think. The Financial Component is certainly. That is the appeal here. I mean that is if going to pay Jalen Green and number five hundred thousand can possibly get up to nine hundred thousand right. So that's it's a lot of money for for these type of For these types of players here instead of going the college route. But yeah if we remove the financial Element here I I would rather go the the college route and you know at least you kind of have the known with with these types of coaches we're talking to ESPN front office. Insider Bobby marks joins us. I take care take on ESPN radio. I'm Jason Fitz. So bobby if you had to make the choice between going professional somewhere else in the world is we've seen some players to go. G. League is there an advantage to one of those over the other? I think the hard part is that where the Australian model that we saw. Lamelo ball and our Hampton go. I think that's going to dry out but I think certainly with the with the pandemic that's going on that money is just not there Anymore I think the ability certainly stay in the states and train in southern California And E- here. I think that certainly has an an advantage. I think Jason. The interesting thing is is that just draft process right now and the ability to meet with a lot of kids and help them prepare for as you process that. That's one of the questions I've asked them. If this was in place last year and with a bigger financial You know incentive. How many of these players would have Would've gone to Julie Ground so college and it's it's been pretty unanimous. I mean every prospect. I've talked to would have probably done that. Julie Grau and Bypass College. If there was a financial incentive so I think having that that That team in you know certainly southern California Is a is a huge advantage there. We're talking the ESPN front office. Insider Bobby March. So then. What's the long term impact in your mind to college basketball of all of this? I mean I think the long term impact is based on does turn into four Julie smut teams. Does it turn into a division Are we going to lose the top twenty here I get it? I understand that it is You know it hurts that the NCAA for right. Now I didn't the. Ncaa is going to survive. I really do I think. Hey maybe we I heard you. You're into maybe we get back to the eighties nineties right where we get. Patrick Ewing staying at Georgetown for three years. Chris Mullin at Saint John's for three or four years. And we have these kids staying longer I think from a fan perspective. I am rooting for Duke. I'm rooting for Kentucky. I'm probably less rooting for Zion Williamson. I'm rooting for the success of that team. So yeah I mean I think initially it hurts a little bit but I think the NCAA will survive this. It's grace of bobby. I've got to ask you since we've got you. Obviously this is an incident conversation but given the pandemic World War in if you're running an NBA team today. What would your what would your biggest hesitation beyond bringing everybody back this summer for tournament. Oh my biggest hesitation is that all we do. We know for sure if this is if we're going to be able to just stop and start do we get you know into the second round here and all of a sudden we gotta shut down again. that's probably my biggest. My biggest concern. What level of concern is is competitive balance if one team is able to start training now but another state may not be opening their gyms up. Yeah I mean I think it's funny. He so with the Lakers. As far as you know that's a state that shutdown right now and they're they're they're trying to petition they open up their Jim when you know the NBA Lousy on on May eighth. Yeah I think. There's there's certainly somewhat of a competitive balance even if it's only four players in your gym and you're getting shots up and you can kind of get a little bit of ahead of the game from a conditions in points out teams like Brooklyn both La Teams possibly Toronto teams. That are that are not going to be open. You know in the next week. I think you're kind of a little bit behind the eight ball but it's hard right. I mean you know I mean how do you kind of make everything keycorp unless we just shut it down right now and we kind of open up things. Starting maybe on on June one instead of gradually dealing with the League is doing right now. You guys can follow him on twitter at Bobby March. Forty two as always great stuff Bob. "To me to have him as the quarterback for this franchise. This is a guy that has thrown for three hundred sixty four career touchdowns and just eighty four interceptions. He has a near five. To One. In touchdown to interception ratio he has not thrown double digits interceptions since two thousand and ten. That's super bowl year. Two thousand and ten to eleven interception that year the most of the subjects he's ever thrown in. The season was thirteen. He is the Creme de la Creme. He is elite in every fashion. And whatever you want to say about his personality or whatever it certainly doesn't negate the fact that the dude cast carried the franchise on his show to for a decade. He's gotten results far more often than not. I think he's been there like four or five. Nfc Championship Games. Plus he's a super bowl. Champion so guide is coaching in his first year that when he was an offensive coordinator his office was the twenty seventh rank or office in the National Football League. He gets there one year and he's not going to back down from Amerada. Just he's not gonNA take this. We need to keep his feet to the fire. You gotta be kidding me. This is embarrassing to me. It really really is. It's not like his. Gm came out and said he didn't want to miss out on drafting Russell Wilson when Aaron Rodgers in his prime. And that's why he did it. I mean there's a real double standard here with Carson Wentz. Dan Orlovsky but you and I will discuss that. Maybe another day. Let me say this about Aaron Rodgers. The message being sent here. But that Leflore who I've been saying since last year seems not to like Aaron Rodgers. The message seems to be and he's not wrong. Nfl It's really more about the coach. "Let's get started as we always do with the headlines that you need to know and it starts with some. Nearly growing number of premier league players do not WanNa play football during the pandemic corona virus contest as we continue to go so looks like it's not going to be any resumption anytime soon from the Premier League reminder that even when lease WanNa come back into it to play. You're still have to agree to it so as the project restart scheme had hoped to get play going again. It now looks like players not so anxious to make that happen next up on your headlines we have a signing for the Dallas cowboys. But not the guy everybody's keeping. They've reached a deal with veteran. Cornerback Daryl Worley. So early last year played for my beloved raiders at this point joins a crowded corner room. And we'll see what it means moving forward but remember after the draft. The Cowboys Lost Byron Jones of the Miami Dolphins. Of course they say they have some flexible position. Were they can put guys at corner and Safety Big Room. We'll see moves forward. And lastly the NC Double A. May have taken a massive step forward as they've they've come out with a plan from their top governing body that supports a proposal to allow college athletes to sign endorsement contracts and receive payment for other work provided that the schools they attend are not involved in any of the payments. So this is the group that the incident of a put together to try and figure out ways to allow name and likeness to be profited on for these athletes and find a work around. That doesn't mean the schools are actually paying them. So what they're proposing is allowing third party. Endorsements unchartered territory for the NC. Double Able see what it means moving forward. They've also been clear that this is just the beginning of the plan and that Their hopes is that he finalized plan will be reached by the end of the year. That can be voted on no later than January. We're going to get some updates on that from somebody that's in the thick of it and just a little bit as we'll get some concept around what this looks like for the college football world. "Packers insiders docks on the FOX in Waterford. Let's welcome in rich, Raymond Green Bay press cassette. He writes about the business of the Packers. I rich. Thank you so much for being with us. Hey, how you doing? Manso goodrich. We're glad that you're here. I wanted to start by asking you about coach McCarthy an event held earlier this week where he kind of played Santa for some kids. What was the demeanor of the coach the coach of anything of note to say? Well, I'm not sure that that was not a story that I wrote I it was one that I picked up from Kim remind our who is one of our reporters, and to be honest. I'm not sure that was this year thing that might have been of previous year. But it was. One of the radio stations up here at asked him to do it. And and their whole point was, you know, he always up for doing those kinds of things and always especially when it has something to do with helping the kids out. Hey, let me shift gears writing about Paul McCartney concert Lambeau Field. This has become a big deal for the Packers. And this one was red hot. It was sold out. All right. Well, they announced the sell out today, but pretty much all the tickets were gone by Tuesday. I think and people are looking forward to that. We had Billy Joel here two years ago, and in that one went over and this one is even bigger. Did this sell out faster than those other ones? Are there any way to measure how popular this concert? Ben. The Packers said this is the fastest non-football sell out. They've ever had it lambofield. Holy cow. Rich rhyming Green Bay press gazette is with us on WTMJ. I wanted to ask you if you have any update or any knowledge about the Packers hosting the draft. They've indicated rich that they want to do that any update on when that might happen or where we're at in the process or how that whole thing works. Well, it would be in twenty twenty two or after partly because are primarily because we are building a new exposition center here, which they expect to have done some time in twenty twenty one and the Packers think they need that space to help host the draft for a lot of the different things that go on during the draft. And they are reasonably optimistic that the NFL will give them a serious chance to do that. You know, I think the NFL understand it's going to be a smaller draft than it would be in some other places because we are a smaller town, but we have plenty to offer. It's not the Las Vegas strip. Exactly. But if you want to highlight NFL history world, what's a better place in Green Bay? Yeah. Rich. We also hear about the teams playing in London from year to year the five teams that we were going to host games either in London or Mexico City revealed see two of those teams on the Packers scheduled for next year. But it seems like the buzz for the Packers playing in London. Get squashed rather quickly because teams just don't want to give up their own home games. That is that's been the story so far and of those two teams the Packers actually host the raiders. So they're they're not an option either. So really just for before next year comes down to the chargers, and you know. The chargers have not made it official yet that they won't. At the Packers to go to London. But since I get from inside Lambeau is that they're not expecting it. Schwartz writer rich, Raymond with us on WTMJ. Russell Beckmann is the Packers fan who also on season tickets to the bears game this week. He has been battling to be able to wear his Packers gear on the sideline. This sunday. There's an update on that story too. Isn't there rich? Good job. You're going right down my list here. Yeah. Russell Beckmann sued. The bears because they wouldn't let him wear Packers gear as part of a bears season ticket holders reward program, which he is a bare season ticket holder as well as the Packers season ticket holder this this week he or last week they filed asking for a temporary restraining order to allow him to do that this Sunday while the rest of the case is still pending and the judge did not offer did not issue the restraining order. So the bears can still keep him out. Of that program. If he wants to make him changes jersey if he wants to wear Packers stuff, but the lawsuit remains alive and he intends at this point to continue to pursue it Freeman Green Bay press gazette. I end always enjoy your work rich. Thank you so much for being with us. Thank you have a great weekend. All right. You too right after the news the radio holiday show WTMJ's show. It's going to be playing coming up here. A special look behind the scenes that's coming up. Right after the news. I it's news about your money. This is the latest sign shown by China that it's a Konami may be slowing down. The data also underscored the rising risks to China's economy. "Former? Packers going to be joining us as well. Great debut. Enjoy we are on a Wednesday tomorrow. The titans play by the way against the Jags which looks boring, but I think the titans are gonna now win three straight. Go nine and six and face the colts and Andrew luck at the end of the year for a playoff spot. So watch the titans play tomorrow against the boring. Jags coming up, Greg Jennings. Alexi Lalas later in bass for last there's something that hasn't happened in the NFL in a decade. But I think that's about to change but more shakeup within the Packers coaching ranks. So let me get to it. So yesterday, I spent a significant amount of time on the show saying the problem with the Packers organization is they have no owner, and because they have no owner, no other team in pro sports has this. They have no owner. So the star legendary quarterback Brett farve or Aaron Rodgers become too powerful. Nobody can hold them accountable. I mean, it would Tom Brady there's a billionaire above him. Drew brees. There's a billionaire above him ally. Manning, there's a billionaire above him. Carson Wentz is a billionaire above him. Aaron Rodgers he's the richest guy in the state. He's a richest guy in the town. He's the most powerful guy. I think it's a problem. Nobody holds them accountable. So here's a prime example. Yesterday. Winston moss. He's an outside linebacker coach for the Packers. Not even the linebacker coach. We'll just give you the Outside Linebackers now a real powerful guy. Right. Former player he put out a tweet, which is completely inoffensive. I mean, it's nobody would be offended by this. So you went to Twitter, and he put out a tweet and the tweets has ponder this. What championship teams have great leadership period. It's not the offensive guru trend. It's not the same trend. Find somebody that's gonna hold number twelve and everybody in the building to a Lombardi standard. That's always said, that's it. And they fired him two hours later. They ran him out of the building. You gotta be kidding me. People are walking on eggshells..

"He might not be directly sitting in there on the interview. But you best believe if a head coach is on that radar when they go to dinner air is going to be at dinner, and he's going to be talking and they're gonna figure out. Hey, does this work is to chemistry here with these guys? Can they get along? I think you have to do that. If you don't you do yourself a disservice. Here's my question. The Packers don't have an owner. Yeah. Okay. So remember when Brady and Bella check had their rift Angelou who settled it Bob Kraft. Yes, sir. Okay. Uh-huh. When Jason Garrett and Dez Bryant and Dak had an issue who settled it Jerry Jones Packers have no owner note. So if you have this. Here's a weird thing farve and Rogers are the only two quarterback. Ax in my lifetime who've never had a boss. Let's be honest. It's a quarterback league. Not a coach Lee coaches important. But if you have air Brett farve, and there's a problem you getting rid of the coach not Brett farve Aaron Rodgers no owner in Green Bay is that it sounds weird to me. But it's like I think it's an issue who's ultimately Aaron 'cause Tom Brady can when all the rings in the world. But even he knows Bob Kraft could have him on the street tomorrow. I almost wonder is Green Bay almost they hand the franchise to farve. They've handed the franchise to Aaron do they have too much power. I don't know what they have too much power. But it is a unique situation, and is a situation that you can't you can't deny or hide it because you're right in every other situation is always one of the person who ultimately has the final say, so who's richer always in a quarterback, the coach isn't the GM the owner and runny means a lot to guys it does in. "To try and get the touchdown and save yourself position. Where only feel by and looked it got it here too. They atoms and they can't complete it. I mean, how would this? Jane that game. I guess we'll never know. But oh my goodness. Just missed it by just off the finger till there. They would. Try the onsite kick. They wouldn't get it. Vikings looking run out the clock. And they do that first down is all step on says goodbye to the Packers Packers probably say goodbye to the playoffs. Gray and the beard than I did few years ago. So on. Football mortality catches up to everybody. And you never wanna lose a season, especially when you feel felt great starting the season out about our prospects. But we're gonna battle the next next five weeks and put ourselves in position to to be in the conversation. Hopefully, it'll be enough. And like, I've always said you just got to get in. So we gotta win these five. See what happens? And it seems awfully unlikely. But it's not impossible. It's reporting out the twenty third time at the Super Bowl era of the Packers have a losing record through eleven games. The only one time rebounded to make the playoffs from that. But it was just two years ago. When Aaron Rodgers reeled off six straight wins to end the season that was a team that went all the way to the conference championship game losing to Atlanta. So it's a pretty simple question. The answer might not be all that simple. What is Green Bay missing? Why are they with this all time? Great quarterback. Why are they they're missing like healthy Randall Cobb? I don't know where he's disappeared to injured all the time and in a no show so to me, but you need more weapons than that. I'm Greg Rosenthal alongside my fellow scientists Chris Wessely we're going to send it over to Dan hand this and Mark sesame and preview all the week eleven games in just a bit. But first we gotta talk about what felt to me like the first game of the end of the season. Like this was the first game where it it's a little cold there. It's two teams on the ropes. It's a really great back and forth matchup of tween too. Great quarterbacks. It was the first game of the season that felt late to me and the Packers ended up coming up really small at late in this game. Yeah. It was also a loser goes home game. And sure mathematically, the Packers aren't out of it. And you know, you can if you're a Packers fan, you can talk yourself into the run the table. I for the first time, I'm out. I agree with you McCarthy's got to go. The game management was horrendous. From the neglecting to challenge Tyler lock. It's thirty five thirty four yard completion. That ended up with the game winning touchdown to Ed Dickson. A couple of plays later to punting with four minutes left and just one time out remaining which meant Seattle could just pick up two first downs and end the game to the disconnect with his quarterback and situational football. Aaron rodgers. I have never in all my time watching football begged a quarterback to take a check down until this game. And Rogers just refused to take a check down and that situational football. I don't know how much of that is on his cock Scher Imperatore impr- improvise. I don't I can't say we're federalizing his playing style or or McCarthy's stale offense where the receivers just aren't open. I don't know. But Aaron Aaron Jones was open for check downs. He was at a couple of the late drives. It was a tough second-half for Aaron Rodgers. He said I'm the final throw. He threw into the dirt wide open receiver on third. Into that the ball kind of stuck to his hand on that play. And you would love to see McCarthy gopher. And that's why I do think McCarthy is going to get replaced the soothing. They don't make the playoffs is it's not just that they blow the time outs or you don't call the challenges. And you know, you're county on these isolation routes in these young receivers to get open on their own. It's that you don't have a feel of your own team. You don't have a feel of the game. That's in front of you the two previous drives at the Seahawks. Had they went up and down the field in through the Packers. Like, they weren't even there. They were down four starters. Total going into the game. The Packers defense lost Mike Daniels in this game. They lost Brienne laid lost another reserve safety in the game. They Kenny Clark was in and out at the end of the game. And so that's why okay we need to yards. Let's trust Aaron Rodgers. And I've made this point before on the podcast. But if you don't get the two yards, your defense that you think could get a three and out can still get a three and out and try to force them to to kick a longer field goal. So. That killed me. But it also killed me as someone who is wanting the Packers to make a run here to see their offense only score three points on five possessions in the second half. And in some of that was on Rogers. I gotta admit this is a game where he made two of the best throws you'll see all season in a few other great plays. But also like you mentioned was taken too many Saks holding onto the ball too long in a certain that's right house rooting for because I locked them up with not a good sign for any team. These days. A certain segment of Packers Twitter, and their fan base has been saying this all year that has been an issue and that we've been overrating Rogers, and maybe we have..

"To brand gotta you attack threetimes yesterday air last week against the packers but the packers had any number of other chances to bring him down and he he made some play uh but for the most part the packers pressure disrupted seattle's offense to heal he barely completed thirty percent of his throws so backed i think the key for the forty nine ers is if you don't bring him down in your first shot at least kinda discombobulated things to the point where he ends up having to you'll run toward a sideline and throw the ball away not where you'll doing that thing where he's kind of backpeddling and motioning to a receiver in a receiver cuts off you out and next thing you know you'll the forty hours defense is going one away and the guy with the ball is going the other way yeah that that wave thing is so daunting when you see him waving somebody like mad this is death on a platter coming our way speaking of the other quarterbacked o'brien hoyer and you know it's funny you it's been dissected now you mean we saw it with our eyes sunday in real time and then in the nfl you go through this surgical process of looking at the film and you see all these missed opportunities that he hadn't so i'm just wondering you know you've been around locker room this week and you've been with him all summer and i think he guy said that you know there's there's no question you you tweeted it out don't even think about cj bessard so to twopart question one khin hoyer be better really or was that the real brian hoyer or and two is the third thing just stop talking about it i i would say stop talking about it now get to a point it will with brian all air that if if things aren't going well then at some point you are wonder about where.
