What Are Hydrophobic Plants?
"Going to introduce a poly celebic and scientific term. And that is hydrophobic which means fear of water and we're not talking about literal fear but you may have noticed. There are some plants in the garden where the water just beads up and rolls off and we say that these plants have hydrophobic leaves and you might wonder why this happens how it happens if it helps plants if it hurts plants. And that's what we're going to talk about today. Yeah and sometimes people refer to this as the low dose effect right because lotus plants which heard the aquatic plants that have gorgeous flower and the pretty pod their leaves do this and this works for the plant in several ways doesn't it it does and it's really interesting. I've i've always seen this effect and you mentioned the lotus and that's a one. The thing that it's most common to me on is is al camilla. What's the common name for al camilla. Why am i blanking on lady's mantle. That's right lady's mantle and you walk through the garden in the early morning when the do has settled on the plants. And you look at a leaf of lady's mantle and it's like a work of art with all those perfect round drops on the leaf. There's a lot of different things that can cause that but usually it has to do with the surface of the leaf itself and and how it reacts when waterfalls on it the reason that some leaves have evolved to do. This is several fold first of all in areas like rainforest areas where it rains every afternoon. At four o'clock right. Yeah if a plant is repeatedly repeatedly getting wet a particularly in a place like a rain forest where is humid and warm. That's sort of the ideal conditions for fungal problems. For various. Right leaves fungi. And the fact that this water doesn't stay on the leaf but beads up and rolls off. That helps the leaf not to get leave diseases. That's perfect and the interesting thing. Is that in very dry places. This is a useful characteristic because the water lands on belief. Rolls right off. And where does it go. It goes to the root zone of the plant where it can be most useful and be absorbed so it's just another example of how amazing nature is and how this these characteristics have evolved in very different ecosystems helping the plant in each one of them but in different ways and i just think that is so cool is so
Fallout of Texas winter blast
"Good evening. Thank you for joining us. The governor of sexist apologizing and promising answers after a deadly winter storm the deep freeze. Just the start of an ongoing nightmare for residents now. Struggling with shattered pipes in skyrocketing energy. Bill here's abc's tripled. I can't imagine what it's like for you to see it like this is terrible. I've never thinking house. This brianna bolden tells me she could smell the soap rotting wood from outside the front door of her grandmother's house before walking into this is pictures and the memories. They captured all underwater. And this is actually my big lama right here. This is all and that's the past those wife for half a century. Her grandparents filled this home with children and grandchildren home cooked meals. Tiny reminders of a family growing together is a lot of memories at this house. But now this house like so many in texas has been gutted. Helplessly flooded by first hypes last week's historic winter storm on your couch look. The damage is just a fraction of the devastation. in texas. that killed thirty. Two people will take months or years and billions of dollars to clean up. So how did it go so wrong so quickly. Texas has more than enough generating capacity to handle itself. It was just the state of affairs of that equipment and the state of affairs of the management of that equipment. The causes from texas is the only state in the continental us with an independent grid meaning. It does not connect to any other states power source. When that merciless winter weather hid in one of the warmest regions of the country. People crank up their heaters and the energy demand surged when that system shut down. There was nowhere to turn for power. There is no place for the texas grid to go there. Couple small lines extension cords to the east in the west. But that's not enough really to to pick up. A forty percent drop in texas generation and the result was more than three million texas residents in the dark and cold at one point leading many to take drastic measures for running dangerously low on one. So now what we've been doing. All day is actually coming outside getting snow putting it are pods and heaving on our propane grill. Then hypes began to freeze and burst shutting down water treatment plants across the state inning. Almost fifteen million texans would have to toil their water of four. It was safe to drink daily block water. We don't even have the electric reliability council of texas or bur. Kat had long been warned. Its infrastructure was vulnerable to freezing temperatures the state legislature held hearings on this exact issue in twenty eleven. The last time the state experienced major freeze there were numerous hearings hundreds of pages of recommendations but they were all made voluntarily. Nobody actually change the incentives so that the generators would have a financial reason food to weather. Is this week. Several urquhot born members resigned in the wake of this disaster today in virtual urquhot board of directors meeting. The chairwoman acknowledged the pain and suffering of texans her resignation effective after the meeting ended. All of our hearts go out to all of you with head to go without electricity. Heat water not attending and food during frigid temperatures and continue to face the tragic consequences in some cases. The loss of a loved one state leaders have promised an investigation into urquhot handling of the crisis and members of both parties and the governor of rowing to make sure texans are on the hook for those astronomical electric bills at a time when essential services were needed. The most the system broke. You deserve answers. You will get those answers but people brianna bolden are in need of far more immediate solutions. She's facing mounting hardships. Having recently lost her father and grandfather. It sounds like your grandmother doesn't have home insurance right now. She don't she couldn't afford it anymore. Every generation been through this. Is papa really worked hard for this. I'm sorry statewide. There is so much damage from burst. Pipes plumbers can't keep up see the water. We have another one right here. Everardo omega of a plumbing. Elizabeth Holmes denies destroying evidence in Theranos case
"There is a new development in the theranos elizabeth holmes case it came late last night and attorneys for homes accused the government of losing a database that contained three years worth of accuracy and failure rates. If there are knows tests prosecutors alleged that theranos executives destroyed that database because it proved that the blood testing private product was inaccurate. This argument over testing evidence will be argued out before a judge next month and that will set the stage for homes as much awaited trial which is set to begin in july. This is really kinda complicated but the government the prosecutors say that they asked for this information they were given a backup drive that their executives gave them the drive. They forgot the password that they had sat on it They say that they are knows. People forgot the password that was set on it. They asked for this back in two thousand and eighteen. And i think three months later the main the main computer system the the database was destroyed after that they say it was done intentionally the prosecutors say that they have email evidence that shows that this was done intentionally but this is going to be just another step and incredibly compelling argument that we've watched back and forth.
Elon Musk loses billions in bitcoin
"Joe and andrew. It was just yesterday. That were talking. About how tesla could be making more money from their bitcoin. Investments that one and a half billion dollars that they put in in january. Then they'd be making an all of their cars together. of course it depends on the direction of bitcoin and goes to the whole volatility. And here we are. We're seeing the volatility. What i was just going to mention is the way it is important for. Investors who invest in tesla. We're thinking about bitcoin. The way they account for it is actually very unique. They actually broke right make money. That's the they make money and bitcoin. They actually don't write it up. It will not be reflected in the results per se however if they lose where they bought it add. It is reflected in the numbers. And that's an interesting facet of how companies are starting to think about how you account for this stuff but it's a it's fat profits like berkshire doesn't where you broke out operating profit from investments right and there's a counting in. There's whoa. i just lost my shirt. I mean well counting you lose you. Don't put the money in. So so i don't care how you account for it. You know what i mean. It's like you own enough of that stuff and it starts doing this. I don't get that'll get your tend to just just like the opposite but you know forty seven we're like oh my god forty seven. Can you believe that it wasn't twenty. Eight thousand everybody was when he was at twenty eight thousand melissa and other i think san toy and they said well would you buy the twenty twenty eight thousand after. It's gone up here. I don't know if i buy twenty eight thousand so you know what do you and then went thirty thousand higher than that. It's nutty all in what a month less than a month. And so and then you start to think you know these folks who want to accelerate as a currency you start to think about that right. How how could you. How could you. you're inviting. I thought that was a moment. You gotta differentiate between a currency and something that you used for transactions for currency. If you're holding on your balance sheet you may just be doing it as almost like you talk about short term treasuries would be a currency or maybe you think long term treasuries or maybe you think gold is something you you may not use it for transaction but you may want it representing dollars on your balance sheet representing currency. But but it doesn't mean you using it for transaction all the time. That's why store miami. Right the city of miami though. That's one thought was just the craziest. The idea that they said that if you're an employee of the city and you want to get paid in bitcoin you could do that. Like what.
Debris Falls From The Sky Near Denver After Flight Suffers Engine Failure
"He's talking about today's top corporate story. It follows that scary incident over the weekend involving a united airlines flight over denver. A flight bound for honolulu experienced engine failure. Shortly after takeoff was forced to make an emergency landing. You probably saw the images over the weekend night. Says it will temporarily ground. twenty four of its boeing. Triple seven jets meantime. Bowie is now telling customers to stop flying. Certain triple seven aircraft equipped with the same type of pratt whitney engines. The broke apart during that united flight. United is the only us airline with this type of engine in its fleet head of the faa saying the agency water inspections of some jets but concerning images. You see this There's been been problems with the seven seven seven similar situation actually just in the past two years now. So of course this will raise more. Questions both about boeing in some instances and perhaps Pratt and whitney as

Israel and the International Criminal Court
"Last weekend there was a major decision at the international criminal court in the hague that made it more likely that the body will try to prosecute israelis for alleged warcrimes. There's a lot to unpack here about the body itself. The charges against israel the players involved. And what it all means for the jewish state joining us now to help make sense of all. This is barack reviewed a correspondent for axios and the diplomatic correspondent at israel's while news barack. Thank you for joining us. Thank you thank you for having me. So first of all. I feel like the terms of the international criminal court. The is the hague they get tossed around as though everyone knows what they are. But i'm not sure that that's the case. The sec is part of the un is at a different international body. What exactly is its purpose. What is the i can tell you. For a fact that the vast majority of people have no clue and by the way. I don't blame. Anybody is not even for foreign policy. Wonks for international law wong's that's really a small sect in the world so it's not surprising that most of the people really don't know what to talk about. Let's explain the international criminal. Court was supposed to be established more or less after world war. Two as part of the lessons learned from that war but at the time the cold war was just starting and the tensions between the soviet union and the united states is not allowed to get a consensus to form such an international criminal court so instead they decided to form the international court of justice. Also in the hague. Many people get confused and mix up the to the international court of justice deals with more. Let's say principled cases between different countries while the international criminal court is like any criminal court. We know okay which means that it has suspicions. There are suspicions against a certain person for alleged war crimes and this person if he's indicted he's tried by the international criminal court. The international criminal court was only established in two thousand two. As part of the drafting of what is known as the rome statute the rome statute basically said what the international criminal court should investigate. What are the crimes that the food try people for and all the countries that negotiated destroyed at the end of the day had to sign it and approve it in order to be members of the international criminal court re in the us and you and israel have something in common probably many things in common in that neither of our countries signed the rome statute. So what explains that opposition. Why was the. Us opposed to joining the i c c so the irony is that israel was very involved in the negotiations leading up to the drafting of the rome statute and the establishment of the international criminal court. The reason the end of the day that israel did not join the icy and did not sign their own statute was because one of the things that several arab countries pressed very hard to include in the statute as grimes should be investigated by the international criminal. Court were issues that have to do with transferring population into an occupied territory. And as you know when israel built settlements in the west bank it moved its citizens into an occupied territory and for many many years. This was a main issue that israel did not see for example as a breach for geneva convention article. Forty nine in the fourth year neva convention is an article that israel decided that it doesn't agree with so israel. Basically defacto implements the fourth geneva convention other than in the west bank and gaza other than article forty nine because it has to do with settlements. Let me just ask this so one of the things that is illegal quote unquote under the rome. Statute is transferring members of population into occupied territory. And the reason that it's illegal is because like countries wanted to target israel for doing just that no the geneva convention okay from the late nineteen forties already at designated transferring of population into unoccupied territory. As something which is illegal okay. What happened here. was that at the end. You need to decide. You can't just decided okay. The icy sea will investigate any crime that we think at specific moment. It should investigate. No they wanted to Designate certain crimes that are. Let's say more serious. In order for the i c to be able to focus on the really most obscene acts of war crimes crimes against humanity crimes of those kind of things and when they negotiated the rome statute arab countries decided to press for adding this issue of of a population into an occupied territory as one of the things that constitute a crime that can be investigated by the court
Bill Gates & How to Avoid a Climate Disaster
"It's great to have you on the program again. This extraordinary book. And i want to start here. I want to start in two thousand six because you talk in the book about having an almost eureka moment in terms of realization and. I think that there's still some people in this country that haven't had that realization. I wanted to understand what brought you to this place in two thousand funded. The gates foundation and started traveling to africa in seen only the lack of electricity but how the weather is getting tougher for the farmers there and that led me to learn about climate. I haven't spent time on it. But i was kind of horrified to learn that over time. It's just going to get worse. And worse. and the sources of the missions are are very very broad and so that in a brought me in to think about actually do a ted talk in two thousand ten five years before. I did the pandemic talk in the book. You warn that. The economic damage caused by climate change will likely be as bad as having a covert sized pandemic every decade. What do you think the role of business should be in solving this business you know. Businesses are paid to think ahead and They consumers will be looking at the carbon footprint of the companies. They buy from They will be looking for business to be part of the dialogue about shifting these systems around and so climate climate is big the younger generation. I think their energy already very high. But i see that going up Even in a bipartisan way and so measuring Footprint being open about that and being willing to devote resources to getting those numbers down over time i think no matter what business you're in that that will deserve a lot of attention but can the problem be solved if big businesses and microsoft and apple and google and others have have announced very ambitious plans. But they are all idiosyncratic mean. They're doing it on their own. Can it work. Everybody's doing it on their own or does it effectively require regulation and laws over time. You'll you'll have regulations that will drive the market for green products
Padres, Tatis agree on 14 years, $340M
"The padres straight gay fernando tatis ton fourteen years three forty according to our jeff passan key indicator here is kia said before when you give machado money you give harper money. You pull those guys all switch teams. They know something about fernando tatis. He's only twenty two years old. Yeah he's young and he's shown and these establish yourself he's becoming a huge fan favorite in major league baseball something that the boring sport certainly. You're right when he's at the dish or in the field he's kind of like a must watch guy and they definitely need that as the pod tried to creep closer to keys dodge relies. How big us for shortstop. He's my size playing short. He's got good genes dad quite the player as well. His son i think is going to be a little bit better safe to say that
Approaching a Student Over Their Wellbeing
"In what ways could teach you approach his student. They suspect to be struggling with mental health. Now i think this is quite topical especially with impacts the cozy nineteen has had on students on the wellbeing and thompson. Shall we start with you on this phone yes. I think it's a really good question and is a question. I've had conversations with both my professional life and socially with friends of mine who had teachers who contact. May when the really worried about someone. I think giving the young person and opportunity to speak if they want to You know it depends on the level and say there are times when hats. He was so worried about the level of distress. The past me to take someone aside and say. I really don't think you'll okay. You know all you. I k- what what's going on if someone's being very out of character but actually it's probably better and again. It depends a bit on the age of the charter. Let's save the now. We're talking about someone in that early to mid teams. I would try and manufacturers as situation where he wasn't necessarily sort of face to face and direct compensation unless you have that kind of relationship that may be tidy awesome to tidy up classroom with the end of day will give them some toss while you're alone side each other and say for example people work in children's names of manufacturer call drives 'cause the person is sitting behind them and it's less kind of intense and it's amazing. I'm you know a technical use with my children You know it's less confrontational when things will just slip out. But i think if he will really worried in. That's not working and it is clear that this young person struggling the hats trying to find some what we think they will feel safe and comfortable and and raising it in an indirect way that opens the door for them to say something that they want to light what some people had a really awful time during down or some people are finding it really hard to come back into school. I'm i wonder what it's like for you and then you're kind of saying i'm here. I want to listen. I want to know what you want to say. But you're not saying you have to me and you know that some people went and i think the other thing. I'd like to get a costumed colleagues working in schools is don't beat yourself up if young person doesn't want to talk to somebody else to set Some of the best councils have is just been sitting in silence. So your your teachers not counselors. You're not expected to sorta everybody's problems just saying on hair a bit word. Torture me if you want to. That's fabulous but don't worry if the person doesn't want to. yeah. I think you're right. I think it's a lot about trying to figure out what's best for that child and how they won't respond.
How Long Could COVID-19 Vaccine Delays Last In Chicago In Wake Of Snowstorm?
"One more doctor Allison are what he was at the news conference with city officials. She says the bad weather has had an impact on vaccination efforts. Obviously, this snowstorm has not just hit Chicago, but it's hit the whole Midwest. And in that context, we have seen delays on our vaccine shipments. No Fizer nor Madonna doses were able to be shipped out yesterday, meaning none were able to arrive in Chicago today. We've also learned that no Madonna doses were able to be shipped today, meaning none can arrive in Chicago tomorrow. There are some limited Fizer doses that are being shipped. We don't yet have the details about which of those mayor may not come to Chicago. So what That means in terms of operations here, people who had vaccine appointments today in our city, mass vaccination sites or pods have had those appointments rescheduled. We will be getting all of those people and whether it was for a first dose or a second dose. We expect to get them all in early next week, and all of them will be in within the next two weeks. For tomorrow, we are planning to have our city points of dispensing open for vaccine. Means as planned. Thanks to all of the work from these departments to really clear the streets. We have done some rearranging. We don't want vaccine appointments to snowball on really get into a situation where we're needing to push them further back. So for tomorrow If you have an appointment at a city point of dispensing Arpad, those appointments stand If you have an appointment at a another location in Chicago, I encourage you to call them and talk to them about their vaccine supplies and plans. Dr Allison are
Will Do Children Give the Cold Shoulder To Someone They Love?
"A lot of the time. I will let it go and how resentful indignant frustrated and annoyed are you. It depends. I don't like getting to the place where. I feel resentful so i try to do that. Enter talking and decide. Okay if i'm not gonna let this bother me. That i really have to let it go but i will say yes. There are times where. I will let it go. And i might be just a little. Ooh yeah like he's feeling for sure. Yeah it takes me just a little bit being like that and then we'll get through it and then it's fine and then there are times where i have that talk and i'm like nope. This is not okay with me. And i i wanted to talk about it and say something and have a conversation. Does it do any good. It does like we had a recent disagreement. Please tell so. I did not know that daisy and eric had had a conversation about getting daisy on tiktok to see an older cousin that we have in the family who has an account and she was excited about it and i did not hear about this and cut too i just heard that daisy was signing up for tiktok. How did you hear. She was coming over to eric and saying okay. Now what do i do. And he was telling her. Don't forget your password. Write it down somewhere and i ask. Oh but she doing joining terrorist groups ugly saying getting on tiktok. There was no discussion in my mind. I just reacted in that moment. And i said oh no. I don't want her on tiktok. That was a big thing for me. In hindsight i probably should have waited to. Maybe reacted one of the reasons that you react. That way is you are at a state of semi alert to alarm at all times and your waiting for the intel to drop. Yeah so you heard the words get on and tiktok and it had not been passed by you and that fell on top of a pile of frustration about this child man's judgment and the ambivalence you have about. What a warm loving fun guy so close to his daughters his daughters who are coming of age and we'll have crushes on boys and they are getting so deeply cherished by their sweet dad and at the same time you know so much about what goes on in the world of social media and girl self esteem and identity and sexuality that you have your good angel and the devil gas each on your shoulders arguing at all times. The corpus callosum the connects the right and left hemisphere of women's brains is thicker than in men and it means that women naturally us both sides of their brains to make decisions and for men. It's sometimes a little bit more easier and direct. Is it a cousin or a friend who was on tiktok. it's my cousin's daughter cousins to hire so exciting celebrity family member on tick doing adorable vance and she has her own channel. So cool and now spoilsport. Here is hyper vigilant. That's what we call it. Then psychology jumping in to say you did what so what happened in that moment. The main reason. I got irritated as we were with our pod and there are a couple guys there too and it was very emasculating issues. Like no. she's not watching. Tiktok that okay. And i'm like and furs liberal. As i am parenting. I do default to whatever she says. I mean. i'm definitely the beta as far as you hear me fall to whatever. She says. you can't read her mind right. And so that's your intention and that's your kind of moral position but in a case like this and this is a beautiful example here you were joining with your daughter. In a celebration of cousins expansiveness on the magnificent new platform tiktok swirling the pandemic world with joy. And then this bitch comes in humiliates you in front of your friends or male and female pie and you think okay. I'll just swallow this and eat some more sugar with the girls and it will be totally our country. Exactly the ugly. What happened so get resolved. So the next morning i went to bed it was bothering me and i did feel bad for the way that i handled it so no conversation between the afterward no thanksgiving night. We're both. oh yeah. Yeah so the next morning. I said something i said i you know i'd really like to get this off my chest. What time what plays what. Words was probably around nine. Am and i think. I use the words. I'd really like to get this off my chest and were the two of you alone. Girls there were alone and he was not in the most open mood. But i felt like i really wanted to talk about it in the kitchen. Seated standing i was seated. He was standing. How'd you had breakfast her. Yeah so i started with. I really wanna get this off my chest and correct me if i'm wrong. I said you know. I want to have a conversation about tiktok ortho. I want to back up just a little bit. Because we're going to parse words sir. I really want to get this off my chest. Strikes
Aus Open Day 6 - Silent, subdued, but intriguing
"Think today day six over the twenty twenty one australian open the first fully crowd list day. I think today was the new year's eve house party that you feel you have to gauge new year's eve show up. You do the rounds for a couple of hours and then you sneak off to a bedroom and go to sleep or it's just the hangover the day after we sit there and just drink cups of tea and no answer any calls the hanger day off to the the banging nights out the ends in where you're just gonna sort of pick up pieces and clear mass. Yes i came. That may be works better. And wait for your next party in a day's time it's the regroup day. It's fresh as week when you when in my case you have one thing and you're saying that's it you can just have a normal week and then you gotta do again the next night but so what you do. Is you just insert little arrests days. Yeah don't understand human beings. The enjoyed fresh week genuinely look back and say i enjoyed freshers week. I didn't understand human level so they walk among us. Catherine apparently say it's not but i didn't enjoy today i just dino it it just i mean there were no crowds. We need the. We're going to be crowds that that was a shame How how much. How much was the fact that there were no quarrel to contributing factor. To the fact that today was a was a bit of a dump squib. I mean this has been the dump squib hof of proceedings burnett. We've we've we've made to conceal that on the podcast. You know there have been highlights will will big those up as best we can on today's pod but how. How much was it the crowd. I think it was definitely parts of it in that. You know we're all. I did feel a bit of a downer just because yesterday was so exhilarating and and it has been such a lovely failing to have crowd noise again. Because we've we've been went out and delivered this last week so that that was in the back of mind. I mean there were moments. I compensated in the way that i would've done with the crowd and then there was silence and i had to say oh i forgot. There's nobody here quite open because it's you might as well just be honest and admit it's weird. It is weird at the same time. I feel like for people like us certainly me anyway. I shouldn't speak few too. But i just i'm so i love watching sport so much when it's when it's tied and when the stakes are high the not having the crowd gives me something else and we. We definitely tapped into that at the us open and through some of the other events because kind of we. We didn't have any choice. It's either embrace that or be down about it all and if you actually listen and watch especially today as this was the first match i've ever seen of nadal at a grand slam. We had the two but at a grand slam especially with the little question marks about the back and all that sort of thing and being being pushed as hard as come pasha possibly push him. I loved just watching dow compete in this role style without any cut-away as to the crowd or anything just so pule to be out to. I felt like a like a sneaked into private match and could just watch. And and so i got something from that and i was intrigued by some of the matches exhilerated. Not really and it is. It is more pure than other slam tennis or any tennis that we've seen without crowds because they weren't prepared for this. There's no attempt to conceal the empty seats. There's no crowd noise track on standby it is exposed before your eyes and is
Bring Me Chocolate Or Bring Me Dead Stuff
"All right emily kwong lay some of that chocolate goodness on me. You got it because chocolate is the true meaning of valentine's day only chocolate. This pure can be this. So i love you but lactose intolerant. Why are you doing this to me. I thought about this. The thing that gives chocolate. Its flavor is dairy free. Did you know cocoa comes from a fruit that grows these amazing looking multicolored cacao pods and i was. Cd's read things hanging from the trees. While what are these things. This is food scientists. Darren ostrom suka at the cocoa research center at the university of the west indies. Speaking with simmons safety and our friends at life kit about his fascination with cacao pods. It's like it's like a football shape. Fruit it can be smooth. It can be wate. it can have ridges. Darren saw these pods all over the place. Growing up in trinidad and tobago. They grow on the couch. Frey or theobroma cacao in under story crop of the tropical rainforest meaning they grow pretty close to the ground and the exterior of these pods is hard like it's tough but not so tough that critters can't break it open to go on a little cow binge correct if i was a squirrel. This would be what i would do. I mean absolutely. Darren breaks open a pod with a special tool kind of like a dull michigan it resists when gives time what it feels very satisfying on. Then when you twist the blade you hear a sort of crunch on you see opening insite describes the inside of the pod like a sticky cobwebs it has rows of caucases which he calls beans covered in this gummy white pulp called musa delicious mm-hmm usage and the aroma hits immediately. I'm spending my and it smells. Citrusy like like citrus flowers. It's like a subtle perfume Yeah there's so much flavor potential in these cacao beans at this point once the pot is opened fermentation begins so after. The seeds are removed from the pod. They're collected and transported to an area where they can ferment for days. Yeah and naturally occurring microbes breakdown. Those beans unlock their flavor notes. I i did not know that. Quang i mean for meditation gotta love it. Kind of sounds like like wine a little bit. Maybe a little bit. Yeah kinda if you think of cacao beans grapes and the tastes does reflect the ecosystem from which it came. The beans are then sorted roasted and sold to chocolate-makers to become the chocolate. You know and love. it can be fruity. it can be floral. It can be bright. So i like to think of a flavor profile that cuckoo offense to be like a good piece of music is we. What makes a good piece of chocolate is a harmonious 'presentation of flavor notes that in balance with each other at the coco research centre. He works on the level of genetics and with farmers to optimizing flavor and adopting their crops to climate change and disease. Darren even works with the cacao. Farm used to pass as a child. Chocolate is something he just can't stay away from is like with ocala. Florida is she. You can check out anytime you want. But you've been the relieve gets on the skin and it becomes your positive your consciousness so for me. I don't really work at a job. I work at
The Real Danger of QAnon
"Finkelstein founder and director of the national contagion researchers to a nonpartisan multidisciplinary research group of experts including neuroscientists psychologists. Physicists machine learning experts who study online disinformation pamela. Presi is one of those experts. A senior research fellow at the institute who focuses on the psychology of thriving in a liberal democracy both have been sounding the alarm about the dangers of the antisemitic conspiracy theory cue on and we're not at all surprised to see the events at the capitol on january six there with us now to discuss what we can expect to see next from the movement and what is within our control to stop it pamela. Joel welcome to people of the pod. Thanks for having us so first of all. Please explain for our listeners. In the most basic of terms what is cunanan and why a group called. The american jewish committee might find it troubling. So cunanan is a cybercult that organized with populist conspiracy theories largely on twitter but another social networks as well it really got its roots in a trench community called h. ham and hmi is largely considered armpit of the internet Some of the worst ideas that arrived from social media come out of. Atm was inching about the colt of cunanan. Is that unlike other populist movements which rely on trash tags and organiz based on conspiracies have anti semitic components be value add for cunanan also had an anonymous profit so these diffuse organizations that form lobs on the basis of hashtags. They have a lot of power and benefit because people can act out in the name of the conspiracy without anybody really being responsible but one of the drawbacks. They have is that there's no leadership q. Figured out a solution to solve that you create anonymous leader who can drop missives secret coded information on avon that's encrypted with encryption that he's the only one that has the key for doing q enlisted his followers to become fellow researchers but got them researching with one another to portray vision of reality became increasingly apocalyptic. Interesting and so tell me a little bit more about the anti semitism that runs through cunanan. And how it informs these theories and this movement. The conspiracy group really semitic disinformation because every single successful conspiracy. Group necessarily has to reach for antisemitic. Disinformation as a matter of history and pragmatics. The beauty for a conspiracy theorist beauty being an awkward us but the the ease of anti semitic elements is that they are conspiratorial. And so there's a long history of as joe was saying things to grab things to look for that you just need to look at anti semitism defined and then you just enter that world that conspiratorial world where there is a mysterious you know evoke but somehow secretly powerful other who hides among you and is not always easy to spot that has tentacles in every seat of power government media and finance. That's the jewish conspiracy theory. That's the disinformation about jews. Jews benefit from transparency and the new technology of social media allows for so many areas of black boxes. You know so. Many areas of the dark web so many areas were light is not shining. And that's where these conspiracies grow pamela. Going back to your point about transparency. I'd argue everyone benefits from it. But yes i see your point about jews benefiting from that. I also should point out q. Went on rose to prominence not just during the isolation of the pandemic but during a moment of racial reckoning in this country is that relevant one of the places where we see this coming together in terms of the tools of the network contagion research institutes used to to create transparency and social media. Literally our goals create literacy on social media use machine learning to extract trans at a massive scale. So you characterize the information operations from these groups like you know and one of the largest information operations ever witnessed took place in the middle of quarantine when george floyd was killed and it was mobilized by cuban on and it was blaming george soros for instigating a civil war against antifa the moral other and so that really kind of i think brings home pamelas point in very concrete terms. You had this entire conspiracy network mobilizing around the idea that jewish international financier was causing a civil war was the force behind the moral other and that that was happening in the midst of the conditions of quarantine in that force not coincidentally also behind the virus so that was the largest surge of source activity. We've seen on twitter

"We're just gonna come back to your story. Asthma now that we know who he is and we've worked at the dynamics when your grandfather passed away. How did you feel straight after. And then when did you a finally speak up or be realized that he had affected you more. You knew at the time when he passed away. I did kind of feel sad because although he was good to us but he was good to other people. He was a very strong pillar. He was very well respected. Man no as sad as i would feel with someone who. I was really close to but i was still sad. I didn't process it because the has stopped when he was ill. So i think i just put it behind me and i moved on the first time that i realized that it's affecting me now was lost year of a degree. That's when i actually called to be married and do you know obviously engaged to think of some things any attraction to your fiancee and stuff. Although we went on speaking terms up. That thomas really shy person but the thing is it did affect me and slowly started to get pressure and i realized i was getting afraid or scared taught how to explain that feeling but i started to go into depression and although it was a really good student. I didn't do well in my lost year. Because i call a gauge the beginning of the year. It speak to anyone about it. I was acting fine. But when deep down i knew i wasn't able to concentrate on anything at post it so i started press graduate. Couth this will add it. Okay i have a here to get married. Maybe it will help be professionally. I was doing the k. Although it was quite stressful of doing fine but depression was getting at me. Especially close to the wedding. The to press i go. Can i just ask how did you know you're depressed. You had you recognize that you were depressed. What does the reason was able to concentrate. And if the parents asked me the okay lescot this list with is as a family and i wanted to say out at one to watch. Maybe with them. I didn't want to read books than i did. What to do. Anything dying -joyed doing. I always coveted up by saying this stressful. The coosa stressful. I want to do really well in. I was covered up with that with my parents at the new. I was old enough to make my own choices. So i knew that this was of depression because i was feeling who lived in treating myself happy from inside and did you make that connection to what had happened to you and the fact that you're getting married at that time you just was bewildered now. I didn't know why it would have a certain. Everything started like started. Feel so depressed when i was fine for these years the closer to getting the west got to be honest. I've well say openly by failed my postgraduate because i just couldn't concentrate the last few months ago a completely let go and failed there. Obviously i was proud by. I didn't even tell my parents because the results was supposed to come out after got married so i didn't want to spoil it but i also wanted to get married. It wasn't the. I was trying to avoid it but obviously i think you can imagine what happened. After a mariner what happened tell us rent intimacy. Salted is stopped. My husband that a a key felt as well as kind of disconnected at a wanted to cry a literally the first time when you were being intimate what was going through your head at that point. Did you connect to the trauma that happened to you as a child to how disconnected. You're feeling at the time of the did not fast enough snow. I think it was about a week later and it was newly married and it started to hit me really bad the i added. What my husband to touch me and it came became so bad that i had Nights i was employed at that time. I wasn't to what i was doing my job properly. I didn't want to be there and then it can. Appointment was current Three pink. I would get skit. I would think that there was somebody meru but it wasn't an hong. That's what was my grandfather who seems like what had happened with actually triggered. You're in trouble responses. So yes it took you back was also getting to go back to you know when you grandfather was his last moments and stuff you said you've felt confused and i think there is this thing about your grandfather being protected and also you know your such abuse for a child and even as an adult as well. It's a very difficult thing to actually come to terms with you know especially when our parents and if a parent or caregiver your grandfather is actually supposed to be somebody who's protecting actually he's also abuses. It's a really difficult thing to come to terms with But it seems like i toll set of grief process. I've told you cried. As i said after a marriage investment behind and i used to cry all the time on stock. Yeah so there was no grieving process when he passed away. Yeah what how did your husband react to what was happening. Did he think when newlyweds. You being shy or did he figure out. I think something was. He did figure out something was wrong. I thought it was because of stressed about the job. But because off from joe biden Sanctions some politics so basically stuff that she said. I was depressed because the way i spoke to admit told accounts sleep and it was two weeks to add. Couldn't referred the services and she has to take some leave. But what i did said was walked to buy boss's office Coming back tamar. Alcon to a cold and i was like this is why did at i think for the first few days. He did think that calls the job. That was dressing up me with newly married life near disabilities and a fulltime job but then has been a stilted get better and i was seeing someone who i used to feel like this trying to connect me and a started to get some professional help as well and i spoke. I had dot did a told. This was the person that was seeing and the said the question why i was saying no know anyone else and while i was scared to see him.

"They're capital is getting stretched thin and some of these issues right. There's no question. And i put that question to him which is to say what would prevent this from happening again. Clearly at the time that we spoke they had drawn down those kappler lines. I was up till i don't know midnight. Twelve thirty last night a trying to report this story out. I would say around around. Midnight is when the capital raise. The full billion dollars had been confirmed. They've been working with probably by eight o'clock about five hundred. They raised about the five hundred million dollars in capital. I think they were waiting for confirmation from some of the other venture capital firms. About whether they were going to commit to to this money it should put them in a in a better position today and to some degree. It is assigned competence. But it's obviously something you only do in a crisis and clearly they were getting one yesterday and the question is again. I think right now. The immediate question for this company is whether the customer stay. Go that that's the question do you do do. They say like the other platforms. They have so many problems that they're dealing with the idea. That your customers are they gonna stick around. They flee and then the regulators. The idea that those were not the biggest problems they were facing. Yesterday i is a little telling of the situation here. I mean your your first question is first. Issue is the quantity. And you gotta make sure you've got enough and then you can worry about whether your customers are going to stick around the regulators are gonna shut you down. What was so interesting and you raise the point earlier. Joe raised the point earlier. I think there'd an expectation at the time. People thought that they had shut people down because they were trying to protect them and then invariably people thought right by protecting the customer. The little guy you really protecting the headlines in the big guy. There was the view. That maybe the sec. Or another regulator. I called them and told them to shut it down. That didn't happen either. Interestingly enough then there was speculation about whether citadel and some of the firms that are around this and work clearly in partnership with robin hood and have their own unique interests in all of this whether they were putting pressure on robert they said no it in fact was to some degree. And i'm always loathe to use the word liquidity crisis and the question is was it actually a crisis or were they affect trying to prevent a crisis. Maybe it's a semantics argument. I think they were very close to one. And that's why you saw them take the steps that they did. And you feel like you talk. did he. interests of disclosure. And everything else to talk enough about the liquidity problems with him last night while they were obviously involved in in the capillaries we. We actually asked the question twice and he specifically tried to push back on it again. I think to some degree you could. You could argue semantics argument. We did they actually have a crisis or were they trying to prevent a crisis in either case they were close his response today portnoy which is fascinating unto itself because it was a lot going on online yesterday not just with dave fortnight going after robin hood but going after steve cohen. That battle Because someone point seventy two was supporting capital and gave plotkin. There's a big and conspiracy theory. All of this report is not slowing down. I saw him tweeting today. Showing that vlad was following nine now. And saying i'm still coming for you. Now you can watch me do it. Thanks for checking out this bonus squawk pot. "A lot in our robinhood learn portal and ultimately. We don't provide advice. We are a self directed brokerage platform and We understand people might want to make investments for various reasons and a were were supportive and we stand with our customers in providing that access you know a lot of investors. I want to see a lot. Some investors look at the idea of a credited investor a wealthy investor the professionals as having a leg up that the system is really rigged in their favor. Do you think that's true. I do think that You know there are a anytime. There's limits to participation of you know that that prevents certain people that That might be interested in doing things from doing them. i'm not gonna say that. Those limits are unmotivated. There's reasons that these limits were put in place by regulators in the first place in a robbing the is committed to engaging in that conversation We believe we have a valuable insight from serving the customer base. But i'm also not going to go ahead and blanket save. That regulations are are not motivated because there are very very reasonable motivations for for some of these things when your customers and other investors. See you pulling on credit lines as you did today. What should they think well Let me let me go back to explaining the financial requirements in 'em how this plays in so rodman has financial requirements including the capital allegations in clearinghouse deposits. Some of these requirements fluctuate based on volatility in the markets. So basically with a lot of concentrated activity in some of these stocks We need to deposit more money at art clearing-houses to for that activity to continue so by drawing on her credit lines which we do all the time. As art of normal day to day operations we get more capital that we can deposit with clearing houses in that will allow us to enable ideally more investing with your restrictions. We talked to alexa heenan. The co founder of reddit. Who said he believes. This is a transformational moment in the world of investing that we're gonna see more and more of this people gathering online in various chat rooms and other things and potentially creating targets. If you will you agree with that. I mean it. It certainly has surprised me that This has been happening. I don't think people could expected the scale to which with which social media in finance would respect. I think a lot of it has to do with a pandemic is people are at home and you know. There were glued to our devices because we seek connection with the outside world. So you know. I i think that I think that we're only going to see more individuals interested in investing in more individuals interested in connecting with each other. So it's easy to connect the dots looking backwards. I don't know if anyone has a reliable predictions about what the future holds. Here what do you expect regulators to do We're our team as i'm sure. Other brokers are as well has been in constant communication with our various regulators in agencies and were were having a conversation in our conversations in in principle. A what we believe we can do is represented the retail investor and the individual investor in. Made sure that it everything that we do That that customer is Is respected and heard and we. We absolutely will continue to do that. Do you see this episode is having any impact on perspective. I feel this year. I can't really comment other than to say that robin well-capitalized and we we have a great growth opportunity ahead of us. Thank you so very very much for joining us. We appreciate it especially on this news making day and We appreciate you coming on. Thank you very much. Thank you very much own. You're listening to a bonus episode of squawk pod with andrew. Ross sorkin becky. Quick and joe kernan robin hood returns to explain a few things when we did that interview. They were in the process. And i didn't know it of capitalizing. They are better capitalized this morning. Then they were yesterday. One note about capital raise the venture capital investors who had previously been an or the ones that have effectively re upped raising a billion dollars in sequoia this in recent horowitz's new enterprise and so many others. Interestingly they have been guaranteed a discount in terms of how the valuation has been said about a thirty percent. Discount to what the ipo price may or may not be so of course they would be forced to issue more shares depending on what the price is. Come later this year if in fact they're able to pursue that. Ipo which is the expectation of course big questions whether those venture capital investors are trying to protect their investment. Whether they really are confident whether this is good money after bad. I think there's lots of questions. About what the what happens here. But also questions about these these clearing houses and the deposit requirements part of the conundrum in this case was that there is a model that requires certain deposits to be made but not just a model they can actually call up and say look we need. We need to send more money. And we're we're changing the roles right now and to some degree. That is possibly what happened yesterday as well and so. I think there's going to be lots of debate among regulators about what the right answers are here going forward andrew. Correct me if i'm wrong. But i think robin hood does not require a separate application for people to trade on margin right that i think it's a little looser than some of the other platforms. Maybe i'm wrong on that. And then i guess my other question you spoke with before of this capital raise yesterday but now i got another one point five or one point. Six billion dollars between the capital raise and the credit lines. They've drawn down from j. P. morgan and goldman sachs and others with that money. They're now saying they'll let people do some trading and some of these names but run it or some buying some purchasing and some of these names. But i guess that that leaves open the question that they're gonna shut down again if they feel like it's getting too far if.

"Yes yeah for real. And i would have opened the window sale. But i think that's how the spiders I was like fuck this. But yet man when i get prescribed adderall. If you're if you don't know what you're doing with it going to have few tweaking months. I can imagine. Yeah so catholic is thing by listener to keep hitting think my listener age level has gone up. It was eighteen twenty two now. It's twenty three to twenty seven. I believe so. Jerry pod get more mature yeah good. Yeah and you're actually Yeah you're the only gust that is twenty that you're the oldest i've had and i didn't. I didn't want to say yeah. I felt weird saying that almost but you're not old bike to point where it would offend you but for some reason it's just like so ingrained into society. Yeah yeah yeah. Like just feels weird. I am female gassed. That is true. So yeah that's pretty. We're going to get some great us guys. I appreciate your feedback and please like and subscribe but also us move on right. Have you ever heard of the dinka tribe all right so there are these. I think it's an africa or might be on an island but they on either hair orange right they don't do it in a normal way. They use calpis to die their hair. They sit under cow only. I swam put a video. They sit under cow and they like shower. Basically it's an ancient ritual performed by the elders but the question is the question is are we going to. Just keep them do this. You know like soon as as soon as we go all someone goes in there like oh install showers for you guys you know will will do some hair dye from kroger. Whatever need okay. But then some social justice where some crew like way over the top like to the point where she is doing this because no one else is covering this thing. You know what i mean. So she's trying to get some publicity or he no. Yeah let's make it a he and he and he's like no no no he runs and he's like no no no. You're you're disrupting this ancient tribes ritual as very respectful and then the people are like the dinka tribe like no no. No we want this. We want you know good hygiene whatever blah blah. The guy insists. He's like no no trust me. You don't know what you're talking about. We're going to solve these showers anyways. Okay we're gonna get rid of these showers at these nice people. Jared pod productions installed for you guys and then and then you know like that like that's the kinda shit that can happen though like if someone goes too far something that like and i bet you that person and is completely hypothetical people but if people crazy enough to where they just want to get attention you know like to make. It seem like they're doing something good. But justice warriors. Okay but not all of them. But that's like that's the thing. That's why i feel weird saying that because it's not also like there are people that are doing good things but also people that are just trying to get fucking publicity. I think i know what you're talking about. I explained that so bad but yet it's like the people who and i no longer people. No no no. We're all about that here. That post on facebook and they go to africa on mission. Trips to take pictures of the kids go home and they continue their lives like nothing ever change right and that is what makes me so mad. Nicole exceed your barbie syndrome. Is that what it's called. Yeah i think so. Damn and that is like the and they live. What makes me angry on facebook. Do they live with those people. Like for a little bit some project in africa or like work on like building an orphanage or like. I don't know go well right or like i don't know just the go. It just like you don't really know what they do because they just go around trading taking pictures willingly as probably just like there's probably like a group of construction people though songs and sing about jesus right right in the face of it but the people that are actually doing the work as a construction company digging the wealthy and they're just running around acting like they're doing higher the construction company. Okay circle and clap extras posted on facebook. Savior barbie's it's like it's so it's so wrong. Why even bother going. Oh yeah like they don't want you there. There's so many more ways that you can make a difference in your local community like flying yourself out to africa like using up first of all that carbon carbon emissions of like going to a place and that is just like itches. I would say it's because they're trying to save them like their souls. I don't know it. Yeah yeah and and it's also like the fuck outta here like these people would you know what if they feel like your cells need to be you know it's just it just like what's wrong classism. In this world the people come in and they like make the black people happy in the may fly back and they don't care just just doesn't feel right and we're very happy to santa. pod debt are most Highest new listeners. Are coming from mexico so thank you very much. My fellow mexicans all right. Yeah thank you. I just want to toss it in there. Because here on jerry pod. I guess we're getting a little hispanic vibe gone But yet i and and also like those same people that are doing that that are going over there and stop what is what. What do they do. I i honestly have no idea. Do i think they like they sing songs. Do they give them food. I assume so. I mean they have to raise a lot of money to go over there individually the plane tickets..

And Chef and sprinkle a little little sulphur on this guy. fucking light a match. Let them burn. Okay. That was really fucked up. But yeah, you know if if you need to get rid of a problem, that's your fucking answer right there. And and something else I'm tired. Of Not hearing about is the Latino community. Mind guys we need to speak up. All right. We need to speak up because. I. Like. It it's just so weird it's like. How how has? For the past four years how has like I? Feel like there was literally. Barely any light shed on. The struggles that Latinos face. And then like whenever they talk about that, they're always including the struggles that black people face, which is fine. But there they always are talking about the shows that black people face. So, why don't we just have a nice segment about? The struggles that you know. Hispanics facing. because. We face some shit to a right. And it's just Someone is to be the voice for the Latinos because we don't have that right now you know what I'm saying. We don't have that. And I'm willing to step up I'm willing to to do this but I need your guys. And my listener from San Jose. Thank you. Don't think I seeing that because I am. And I love it. And that's maybe you saw my snapchat because I did target that snapchat at. Literally based off of you know A. Good portion of. My listeners being from San Jose. So Yeah my biggest thing though is i WanNa have a nice. You know QNA? I want to have people calling in I want want want you guys to be involved in this? In this adventure in this journey of the j Rod pod. Because you know right now, it's you know just a little studio just a humble tied. But you know in a year or two from now. Maybe it'll be. A bigger of a studio and bigger a little bit of a pod. and. Maybe. I'll have a actual tripod because you guys can't see it, but actually put a picture. Rate here while I'm doing this right here, you'll probably be seen a picture and it's going to be of the little the little guy who holds my iphone because I have the iphone that has four K. foaming with three cameras. and. This little guy, he is my. He's my cameraman. He's this little. Monkey with these big is and it's for a phone Stan you know his little arms like this and his feet or out and just hold my camera and it's great. It's great. So. Thank you. Little Monkey. which is be, should we name him? Got A new can his name is Steve? SPEC in my house and we actually rust hurt. The, kitten was found in the fire fire house in Detroit. The same firehouse that my friend, my one of my Best Friends Leo keys. Is a fireman at. And This little Kim just wandered in there, and my sister happened to know one of the fire guys that works with a works at that station he brought up to my sister because he knows that the Teresa's love cats. And so now we got this little guy named Steve just running around our house and he's adorable..

"Really smart girl she's. she's Indian. Not. That that matters but I mean, it's cool. You know chose diversity on the J. Rod. And she was going to be on the Pie, but she can't because she works all day and then she has to go to church. And so Yemen, it's just. This rough rough things right. Rough up things. And it's it's also weird how Girls like if you. Don't show them. Any like. You know like like if you're flirting, that's one thing. But if you're not showing them that you want like you necessarily want you know you're attracted to them or whatever. It makes them more attractive to you and I don't know. I don't know. Here's the thing with guys like. A lot of a lot of people are like I. Don't know people say like well, you gotta play hard to get like guy wants the chase is love the chase and it's just like. Not. Really I want someone. fucking. Cool. That Likes Gerard pod and I can vibe with I don't need you to fuck in be. You know doing all these little shit tests to test my masculinity or test my. You know myself. Confidence or whatever you know because I'm telling you right now if you do that to me, you'd better expect it right back. I will ask you questions don't make you so uncomfortable that you won't even respond, and that's probably why I'm having much luck with the ladies lately. But that's okay we keep pushing well. Actually you know that's why I am having luck with the ladies because female viewership is up a whopping twenty, five percent. So. Any of you ladies out there you know subscribe. And Yeah. This is this is definitely a strange podcast episode right now. and. It's really weird seeing a bunch of you know like I go to eastern Michigan Right. And it's very lot like very liberal issue here. kind of like you then. And It's funny because like right across Lily right across my window, the street from me. There's this guy he's a semi truck driver. and. He just an old dude he seems like a fine man but. He has a huge flagpole in his. Man That's creepy. On okay. anyways. Yeah. So he has this huge flagpole up in is yard and. Like had the American flag and then one day I saw him out there in the morning just. Pulling up the trump flag just funny to see you know. Because it's like. This one guy in an area surrounded by people who hate him hate, trump Speaking of trump. That debate. The fuck was up with that. I mean I. Didn't I don't remember a single. Word that Joe. Biden said. I didn't even hear him. Do you even say anything? Because I couldn't hear him. And but trump I. heard him..

"What's going on guys and welcome back to another very exciting episode of j Rod Pot Nitrogen see the Mike is a new Mike normally there's a mic over here. Guess what now it's over here and I like it a lot more I think kind of get used to it But yeah. So that's tested. Why don't we? Now know. Yom wants me ooh yeah. Emam Mama wants me boy who? ooh. I think were twelve. A K., and we are back rod pardons. So today's you know I was supposed to have a very special dear friend of Mine Danny McCarthy on today but last night I went out drinking with You know my sister and. Her friend, WHO's also my friend that? Actually made the cover art for Gerard pod. And Yeah I. Was Super Hung over this morning? And I didn't have any food in my stomach so. I was in I was just kind of sitting in the bathroom all curled up you know. You know I don't know I just felt so exposed to to the world so I wanted to be safe and. I was sweating profusely. And they're all sudden. You know I feel like I got to throw up so I go and I. Turn on the shower. just because I don't want to have my head in the toilet you know what I mean like. You know what the fuck is. Am I getting a fucking swirly. I'm not doing that. So I turn on the shower and all of sudden I start. Dry heaving and I mean like the people above me. They probably were like what? What is going on down there with that guy, is he? Should we call someone? And Anyway, so for about three minutes I'm like. It's is horrible. AM finally. A little something comes out. And little something. WAS, so? Cute. It was actually a little pink blob had little face. Said Hey, and it slipped down the drain. And those last time I saw that little guy but now I feel fine after he left me so. So. Here we are. So this is probably the first episode that you guys are seen the new Mike i. like it.

You know on the little Burrito or something like that. You know that kind of cute and awkward because I don't want some confident strapping young gentleman to come into here and show me up. There is lasting to change Rodney right now. Speaking of. Strapping. Young. Gentlemen. I actually just got right before I started recording. I received a phone call from a strapping young lad named Harry. Dyson, you may know him. And he calls me up. And he asked me to borrow. To borrow my mask. You WanNA bomb. Okay. Sure. Yeah I guess. Might borders. Keep. It So that's exactly what I. Let him do a let them keep. If you're listening right now. You know what she did. You know was strategically planned. fucked. Up All right. What's going on guys and welcome back to another exciting episode of Rod Pod now, and what you guys are thinking didn't he already say this? Yes, I did but guess what I? got. Busy. Yesterday. And I only filmed half of this. So here we go. Okay. Now, I believe what I was talking about yesterday. was a lot of different stuff but. I think I left off with the ants, right? The little march of the ants those fucking assholes. So you know, there's there's a lot. There's a lot of different different things going on right now I had to wake up super early you guys ever like You know. Go to bed at night and feel like you're asleep then you kind of keep waking up. Every hour or something or maybe you weren't even asleep. and. You know maybe. Maybe, your mom was just playing tricks on you and wake up. And you can't keep your eyes open. All guys that's how I feel right now. But. You know. Something that. Really Angers me for some reason is going on snapchat and seeing all the you know the stories like the main stories, not your friends, but like the ones that are featured I guess. I hate. E. You know. I don't I. Think IT'S MSNBC whatever their thing for snapchat. And there's this dude does Mainga he has blond her I'm sure you've seen him and there's always like that Ed. At the end. It's like. Are you registered to vote swipe up and is just like dude? Shut the fuck up. All right. When news stations are so obvious about you know being one on one side just like Dude, how are we supposed to take anything that you say negatively about you know for example, but this new station happens to be A. Democratic thing. Which is fine if not every single time they talked about. Donald trump they. You, know. Didn't. Make him you know they have these like memes or whatever of this guy like saying something and then like. The way that they're reacting to something that he did or said even if it really wasn't that bad, you know like something that's not really. You know. I guess. Because he does say some fence shit. So something that's not offensive. You know if it's just a random thing, it's like they'll take what he said and make me out of it and I am tired of fucking hearing that. Okay. I just want. Real News. I don't WanNA listen to what your subjective thought or opinion on this thing is okay I want to hear what actually happened and I want to hear how he actually said it. I. Don't want you to rewind. You know five times to make twenty. That's not what I watch you guys for. I want humor. I'll tune into girod pod. But if I want news Shots I mean. I guess we all might be having to tune into the garage pod which leads me to talk about my next point, and that is at the J. Rod pod is. You know. It's it's really a magical thing. And if you hear anyone talking shit about the pot, I would. Expect you know. you know as being a fellow Rod Party and I would expect that you would stand up for your favorite podcast. Okay. because. I know. That I would stand up for you. I would stand up for you. In something else that are you know? Just kind of. Strange was I was in a discussion board. And you know I don't have. I'm not one of those kids that puts my actual profile picture on my name. You don't need to know me you don't need to see me. Unless, I allow it. And so you know they can't see me. And I forget what the question was, but we're talking about Aj. and. This girl comments she's like. I'm sure you know like Oh. Yeah. One I'm definitely sure that you know you've probably faced discrimination whatever it's like. Not Really. I haven't. I'm sure other people but not me. One why? Tell you why. Because A. I look pretty much white. But looks can be sneaky. Because I'm Mexican. And then. You know also. Maybe. Maybe there has been some discrimination towards me, but I just haven't noticed because it must have not been to prevalent in whatever. was going on you know..

Annoying so headed the fight was on my fever eight straight hours. Give me some contenders like for. Is what I pushed. To Of. Movie from a grocery. Line of like ten MOMS with their grocery carts folded the top with stuff and then. And then you go from air outside to either hundred degrees in pants or in the winter before the Dr- The parking lot of shoveled pushing Carson and then you just go right back to that. Oh, I met so many people that work in the Deli in the bag and stuff like that Shit Ellie yet do you just you just meet a bunch of cool people intelligence and somewhere were they just caught net salon Let's go girls stuff two. Girls and yeah, there's a lot of work. sachse sliced my fucking piece hang. Up Charge, you wouldn't even notice. But a lot of. The first day like I like I. Like win in the bag. And Mike, I got a farmer, the coup like I got to find someone to be home. I can't just work at this job at Nabi Frenzy only not swag side like winning the back and they're just a bunch of like Ole digits standard on the back I'm like boys. Reach I don't even know him. He's like, do you WanNa see something funny list of share and he's got a bullet hole in his bashes. Got Xiao like doing this or whatever. Like what did he look like? He was six five, the old white dude probably three fifty. Huge Man. Was He was he was he? Felt it. It wasn't any muscle. No. Fat People. Naturally have all. Buscher he's a butch lugging around three hundred pounds you have to be. Really. Dangerous I might not all right and then we figured out like that was when I was into Jordan. Head and he was in sneakers. So we would just always talk about sneakers chill like that energy say dude, probably thirty five he is older and you're just like me like you just make friends with like a sixty year old dude you know you just it's weird going in working especially as a young kid because if you're like per shot was talking people, you end up finding yourself like. I have personal conversations, people my age. Now this is like a forty year old person. Yeah and you're still but like year becoming acquaintances friends. Exactly you're like Holy Shit like, but it's also just mutual respects. Yeah. It's true like that will be the. MOMS groceries or like you sweet. Talk Them Up. Like girls. Like girls. David with their parents and I would just be like Oh like obey their groceries like just like talk to him she's got a nice. All. GonNa be eating. Eating. She gets a big old cucumber because your. Pitch. That's To grasp start is now did some people take their bag grocery bagging really seriously like you can't fuck it up. It's way less show you. That's what did you talk to the dudes? Bushes have guys from any other has shears. Here's readers. greeters. Not. So they always give the jobs like I feel like bows greeter like the job to someone. Well, they have two older can't really are now kind of, but someone mentally his here's what I'm saying. I mean like I needed it like as far as I love how other employed. All great but it's like for the most part like that's the one thing that they're going to be able to do and they're not only they're going to excel at it. As far as you see all these like mental disabilities that have unusually some people can still be social. For even if it's just thirty seconds of hi Hello, whatever Position where they're going to thrive at. Maybe. Causing issues being a cashier or it's like maybe even like you wouldn't want one of you and want somebody straining their back trying to fucking like box I put some box up on a shelf like that because they just don't know your there's girl there's this girl who I forget what her name was but she. In this book called mastery by Robert Greene he he writes about this girl and she she was Chat Down's syndrome I thing or something like that, and she was like a farm girl kind of right and. She really loved cows and they used to end. So they used to put these things in our cows like before slaughter or whatever, and they just used to put them in the horrible shitty things, right? Yeah. She came up with this staying where because for her she enjoyed it, she enjoyed being pressed like like enclosed like that like in a confined space confined space made it feel like safe or whatever and Chanted up doing the same thing for. Apparently, collars, it works the same way they liked that as well feeling like messing impress. So it would relax them rather than having to push them down this. fucking. Like shoot thing to be slaughtered or whatever. So it was just like I don't know I feel like if they took people that have mental problems and they found something. They found something that they are. Really good at. I think you know I think you're totally correct should be a program. You're right and I think I think now we're finally getting on the cutting edge to where we can make that kind of reality because as far as like imagine forty years ago a few of somebody with down syndrome, WHO's like super interested in like. God I'm trying like maybe like dude there maybe submarine engineer. No, but say like summary Engineer and let's say they're really passionate about some arranging but they grow up in the middle of Nebraska and this is before they had the Internet. This is like they would have no opportunity to be able to go. But now we have the option. So we can give him the information to be able to study shit like that and be able to actually Doodo I. saw this video on. Guiding them. Exactly, and that's like, and now it's easier than ever. It's something that we should be doing i. saw this one dude, he has down syndrome. You could say a date and then he would tell you on that day like what score the Yankees was who they played, who is the starting pitcher in the whole lineup like any day if I'm a bookie if I'm a book that doesn't leave.

"Wait to golf though. He's a big off guy to where huge golf family. which okay. Okay. What is the? Number One, if you could do one thing in your life like as a career, what would it be and take some time? I can tell you mine professional golf minds a wack too because it would be professional off because there's a lot of incentive. The is because like you go to a turn like let's say like, what do you love about it? What is the thing that attracts you just did the like mentally it's GonNa Drain. Your ass or clan four straight rallies mateen. Let's say you're like plan for Sharon's eighteenth going to drain your you're GonNa fear who are mentally. Second let's say you win I don't know three tournaments a year that's fifteen million dollars a year I could I could invest fifteen million dollars a year and never have to work in a little play. Another year evolves fifteen million but I mean if I mean like if you one, the last one be. Okay, let's say you went five if you would. Our on. This sales. Okay. Let's say. Three million dollars that's the militia GonNa make doing this job and even though like, yeah how many cuts do you have to make to make million dollars? I WanNa say it's gotta be I mean if you make, it's like fifty. K. If you make it in at the bottom okay. Let's say you make the cut you finish twenty fifth you've finished thirteenth finish twenty, the CAP for. The cap for any of these careers, five years, million dollars so you have to choose it based off. The Golf I just love golf a ton about the money from have. If I can make it right now I think I would say basketball just because I think the. Disk I love football. It's probably my favorite sport but as far as just right now, I got nothing to do go who and just learning figuring out and it's somebody who Can have it's just like such a great game. It'd be. It'd be sweet though it would be what about you give me a bucket is. A professional. Comedian. I love. Joy I love Sandra that's what I want I love Santa I. Want It. So fucking Sony. Hours. Do, you should come with. With needed the from the COP, next time you're on our up. You should. Do as a spectator and then, and then you can record me and I can record. You can perfect each other's sensitive I'm serious. I mean do San. I. GotTa write jokes my humor's more situation me. You have nothing to do in this. I have at least twenty pages I had written since it's coordinated. Yeah. What am I going to do like Seinfeld most comedians copy other comedians wouldn't as far as historic. Here's the thing that you can have two jokes for some. Comedy podcast Yeah Okay. So they talk a lot about like certain ones. Especially Joey is the Church of what's happening. He talks a lot about like. Developing Your Voice and Shit as. Because Dude every single comedian voice is so different. Some are like they, it's like. You know here's the here's the setup, and then here is that you know what I mean like the punchline and then it's like it's like they have a very good point of view very intelligent or they're funny was how they are building Bill Hicks was he was a phenomenal comic and he was very good at doing that like he had a point of view was. Oh By. Patty do. An and anchors for you. Thanks for listening to the Jacob pod guys sorry for the interruption so There's just a quick little shout out to our sponsor anchor anchors a one stop shop for recording, hosting and distributing your podcast. Like I can, I can ride off fifteen comedians that make a lot of money by just telling stories or personal experience. How they have their boys now they do builds lers bill burr. I Love Burt Dude I. Love Joe Rogan. hilarious bobby. By weight I might not here's a podcast called tiger belly and dude, it is so funny him in Andrew. Santino. Do that now I don't know actually I his juries. Ideally so he has a podcast called whiskey ginger they made a podcast together called bad friends and dude is number one right now is the. It is so fucking funny through. On you guys need to Dave. Thompson has a podcast with his wife. It's funny. COMEDIANS. It's it's like What is it? Yeah, your mom's house. So said, it's your mom your mom Kris get and do they talk but pockets they all talk about the the process of becoming a comedian and do to make you feel so much better because. It's it was something I had one do for so long definitely. Mike I finally did it, and of course, the corona virus happened the night. The next time I was going to be able to do it. You know. But like dude. It's. So it's. I can relate to that because I know what you like I feel like I could totally do especially being like as a kid like I totally reflect zero. To like, it's like I try to see like if I'm GonNa do something and I think my problem is like if I'm going to do it to put everything to it and then my fear of rejection, let's say I'd like. Put. All my effort into like writing like Dan domes and none of my comedy is like just stand up joke material and I feel like a failure maybe then I don't feel funny and then people all still funny. But in my own head I'm just fucking tweeted Massieu. That they say on these podcasts, that's every standard is exactly what you just described. That's how they feel is going to send it. To Send it. I just got a Senate. That's dude if I if you gave too much of a fuck, this podcast wouldn't even be rolling exact. No, you're totally right about now. You're. Thanks that's straight fastest gotta try. He's got to throw it out. You never know you're totally right man and that's like you miss one hundred percent of the shots. He don't take. They tell you that when you're five years old and even every opportunity of life it shows it. You know what? I mean dude he's gotTa take shots. Scared rule like Eric I remember hurt my first motivational video when I was in high school I was like in the Weight Room Smoking Thomas. Thomas. Liaise No. He's from Detroit is her neutral.

Five thousand dollars in merchandise cash. So it's like I'm like speed. Like tweeted. Role daily drive off the road I give. You only heartaches journey. Takes takes on what anything dude heartache gynecologist. reupped at Penn.. I did. He is brought I don't. Think so it has a Stylus, right? Yeah what. Pens with Stylus normally, they don't work out. Your brothers shooter though that is an. Your brothers friends used to on that happen just like they used to act like they were parents from like. They would just be like Oh my God. We saw these teenagers black. Music Actually again it's deplorable. Exactly. God. So funny though of course, like the mom like. The best just like, Oh, I've seen those around you to. MOMS exactly. It's all. Funny Yopie Kelly you. And me a bug light. The Fridge maybe make that too if that's of course. This is a bonus pod absolutely of it. I could be your whole fucking. Just suck an outlawed lights like. Having, a great should've stayed on the POD. Yeah, it was gone. I don't WanNa make today but pretty soon. Sandra House yeah he's coming up. Yeah. Yeah because we were talking about this guy unless podcast. Jerry part number twenty four. Please listen anyways. We're talking about this neighbor that he used to have his name I'm not gonNA say his name. But he was pretty crazy broke his arm. Like A, kid's arm heap in the summertime he went and pull the ice ball out of his fridge or. Whatever and we were just like messing round at first we were thrown pinecone kind of Adam and he's throwing them back. It was like fun is bull on. Liberty. And it's fucking ass. O'Brien. The whole time me stew in. Just sitting there plugging stood duty St Stewart in throwing those pine cones share, and so we wrote our rights their right. and. This guy. Joe I don't think he would care. So Joe. Joe Joe Joe Roy because no that is Teri Roy. Okay. So anyways, he was a year old. but. He but at this time like I, think we were in third grade he was in fourth grade right and so we're GONNA daytime show. Way Back in the day and we run our bikes and. And this guy, he had come to like Harry used to throw these parties and shit right and like you know his parents would they were like you know super, Bowl parties. New. Year's Party is all in all of Shit or whatever because it was like we were a neighborhood. That community of neighbors. And so we thought you know we knew this guy was kinda crazy but. We thought we were all messing around because we had. You know. Kind of hung out with and at the same ever and so. Joe. Roy Goes and sits in his truck right and this guy had went inside at this point. Like he you know. Yeah As Joe is in there we were in we were in like the. What do you call it the? Trunk bed the truck bed or whatever in the in the in the back. So not actually in the car, but still and. He comes outside pools joe out of the car or out of the truck, and then throws the ice ball his arm, and then jumps on his arm like two feet Bill Jones on this kid's arm Bro, and this kid is crying now and I remember I remember seeing him one arm on the steering wheel you know pedaling diamond with arm broke and just. Crying on his way home you so fucked up and then mean Harry legal put your. dudes going on. Others June. And then so like. And so This guy he grabs vikes he throws them into the road and they were like. On his lawn kind of our driveway. But like near the front of it grabs, him throws them in the fucking road. "My head, and then I would try those I would I would turn into a cycle. So you would fox some guys I mean like, okay. Let's get a life sentence. Is this scenario you do have to. All. Right. Would I mean like if I'm getting a For Tax evasion I'm probably, not. If I'm like a lifer. Killed like twelve people maybe like eighty years old I'm not going I'm going but that's also just a mindset of just like year in solitary confinement for sixty. Dollars, resilient. WHO He went to prison for raping his like. Baby. Daughter or whatever's. She's yes someone and then killing her and. I got yeah and then so he went to prison or whatever and. Like thirty two people just beat the fuck out of hand go. Make Sense. Yeah. They get it these thugs they don't play with that. You know into prison in some of these are in there for like killing gangbangers in life and. You, touch the kate till you're. Like a baby to it's like I'm just GonNa leave with my bare hand. You're basically eating a life sentence just going to jail. And then so. Stop up right. He. He had to get his assholes. Like close close close and then they went back at him, rip those stitches out and just went back in for second halt assessing. Talk about the prison system. Yeah. Dude bike like he doesn't get killed that he has the words. Were lender in I'd rather be best. I'd rather be just walking around the whole the whole. You could fucking escape through. Hugs man that's fucked. I'm never going to be the situation. It's whack. You never know man. I probably will never touch somebody younger than me. I don't even looking teams. I'm not talking about okay you're right. Right. Of course that, of course but single about if if accidentally hit someone while driving not charged for manslaughter. Lawyer. Okay you were up you lose. Your prison for life. Okay. Then I have the mentality where if you're gonNA try to fuck me I'm GONNA kill you know if not, I'm in my cell and I'm just studying maybe try to be working now I'm just working out and doing nothing books like what else do you do you sit in a cage defeated me. GimMe Litter something. That I. Could read I'm sitting in this fuck itself church row. Maybe, I'll pick up some shit. See dark should this be hard? You Not Person? Come out more educated and hard. Yeah for real. Men. If you go in there, you get the forty eight laws of power with you bro got that book straight. I think you're not wrong I. Think. A lot of people are i. mean is probably some Psychos in prison maybe you could just like. If you could like have like do the billboards in prison for forty? And bills like it's like there's probably a lot of people like that toys they're just like all right you my. A. To join a race thing now fuck I don't think. So I don't think at this point I think race things should be dissolved. On it's different in prison though it's different. Just you know you're right because there's a lot ignorance of uneducated. On here's the thing. Here's my problem. My last name is August I. Don't look like I'm a Mexican but I am Mexican and I am Spanish, so I am pretty much I am Hispanic. Yes. So do I go with. The. Or do I go with. The Mexican crowd, I dunno I maybe you dislike Rigi Shank and try to I just tried to I tried to solve the racism try to dissolve the racism I'm super. Nice. Everyone like a man with. Shake I on their station. I'm like brilliant array. I, do it for both sides everybody. It's just all get along but I love everybody. Both. Then they both. Be familiar with so has asked combine everybody to one. Because you'd have to unify everybody one under one 'cause. Four so People that are very good. Do how billing those are great dude. You just made a really big mistake. It was just bill was locally here in his story doomed from the start yet do not just see that that works we. So we were going on night shift like we basically move wedding furnishings, tables and Shit and like a lot of people working because it's like good hours you work like ten pm six am. So we get a lot of tens a lot of side gigs. And this dude who is in jail for like thirty forty years and he out and he's like parole now. So he's like candles anything but he yeah, he got off his recently. But like the firm, but it was like this student would never technology was used gone technology boom literally doesn't like it's crazy to. Do. What are you doing I'm like hidden speech on snapchat. Yet, no literally doesn't. As. Fuck. Thomas completely disconnected from the world for like forty years when Black A. Black, Mayor Dude actually, you can teach them so much like dude. So he has so many good sex joshing she ever to the. That's wall. So yeah, he's a war. So he was a paratrooper in what they were doing a huge because he was just telling us like I'm like dude. So will you like what he talks about music? Yeah. He's a paratrooper and what they were doing is they were shooting up with just like adrenaline and just because they're like buddy you're jumping on. Because like think about you and I I get it I, get it as far as. Do I would too. You know what I mean. It's funny. It's like you fucking if I'm jumping out of a helicopter landing on people who are shooting at me. splurged some. Speed that's fine. I would be slaking Goddamn So then. They did all this shape. He goes out there and like he goes to the bars and shit when he's like stationed overseas, all these women just throw themselves at him stuff like that. He comes back to the states nothing like that and he's already fucked up in had and of course, like this dude has single mother like bad Charlotte. So I'm not saying he's a genuine guy but he made a lot of horrible decision. He learned his end like He. Really but he really like head on straight really means well, really works hard and it's like, okay I could see where you get misled a strange shit like that like victim to the system type shit and it's crazy to see somebody like that first hand and like talk to them, what stories like? Yeah. He goes to jail for thirty years like he's he's not allowed. He's he's not allowed lot have access to the Internet, he's not allowed to he has. No idea what's going on as a flip phone exaggerate something only calls like three numbers and like he gets. So he gets out of jail thirty years in release ago. Yeah. The first six months like he was a year and a half parole and he was like the first six months like you get deeper and he's like doesn't have a car bike stuff like that and he's just like sometimes I remember just sprint in trying to make sure I get. To my house before my beeper gets offer else apparently not I mean that's another six months stuff like that, and it's.

Wait to now. I don't know I always I used to always make fun of it would. Totally understand. I would be like totally. Grow to get in a beach into. Pitch down the youngest of. Be exactly you need all your like dances action. Yeah. Dude for real and like I truly feel like what it felt like to be like just depressed I was sleeping until like. Two or three, and like dude I would just go to the gym and then I would just. Come. Like after I went to the gym just like. I feel tired and I just want to go back to sleep dude like and I didn't notice it but my parents noticed and they were like, yeah, it's going on or whatever and so like. I just. Like I didn't think anything. Yeah, and then I just realized like Yeah Geez this is what's going on because I had stopped hanging out with like a lot of my friends for awhile dude it was just really like you're just caught in. Stage Yeah I have I I. And it's like damn this what I get for funding. For on people with depression pussies, I, know what you mean. After Day should just hits the fan yelling fuck. Dude for real men. Look around six months later, like the I talked to the student forever Funke's one of my best friends. Owned by the way guys. For listening to this, this is a bonus J. Rod pod. What what was her name for? O. J. Route Hunt takes driven hot takes coming in. And Actually isn't even heartache Tom Brady is going to be stinking hot garbage time. He's going be fucking garbage. He's GonNa go there and he's got a great receiver core. I'm just GONNA make sure to. Stink he's going to go there and he's going to be like Oh. You know what I get he's competitive doesn't WANNA put it up but he does not have the train is not of the. Guys are. Going to the Patriots I, mean I think it's fine I mean I was a little shocked because I was like. I don't care I'm alliance Fan or die. So my whole life is depression. Kicked her whole life yet naturally just Kinda hate him but like he's a machine I I hate them I mean he's do. He's don't know you. Know he's. Really. Today if you can hold up six fingers and they all have to go rings your go. Yeah. That's undeniably Go but how many spellcheck? He's got a whole bunch here you were saying. That if you wins without trick than and we'll start talking, then I will have absolutely nothing negative to save time. If he. You know he went super their chemistry just well, no I mean they got some receivers. I mean they got Godwin. They got win and they got Evanston Evans is a stunt I've my. Has He is seeing baller that guy goes out and gets points but he's not consistent because you know why James Winston is garbage goes thirty touchdowns, thirty picks. That's literally a thirty for thirty ended of its own. But this year he gets latex and now Tom Brady's GonNa be the starter but he was. Okay so so J. Reid as well as jared listeners I feel like a lot of them probably don't know a lot about sports against a man from so. Explain. What is latex would earn so so he so Basically he got is surgery because he doesn't have twenty twenty vision and I don't think he wears contact because maybe that's just me maybe just doing latex. So He literally gets is surgery coming in CPOS. He picks on like Oh now mix James Watson because you know he can throw like he's he's a ball. Season when he's so streak Asian. Yeah and then now gets good vision Tom Brady comes he's not even GonNa. See the field unless Tom Brady shits the bed early which he mothers no way. Though takeout somber I mean he should submit early. What is I? Mean I guess they don't. Think about it. What what shitting the bed in Tampa Bay because they've witnessed, they've witnessed five interceptions again with these New Orleans. No that's what I'm saying but they go to games like their fans go to games and they witness literally James Through five picks a game and they're still they save three hundred. To what's going on I mean imagine being that. Like that'd be crazy be. Would you rather be professional nfl like being in the NFL. Would rather be in the NHL Hall. That's a great question. Great Question I mean as far as like opioid depending on who you are in the league like NFL sick. Fraud, sending, Crosby, like what caliber player if I'm going to be just like. Crosby. Actually out of PAT mahomes like. I mean, let's think about link Julian Ataman or. I mean Zach parise Marshall Still Pretty no one knows about margin I. Roll Music. Team he plays on this awhile captain their marshawn initial. Super Casual marshawn Lynch. I'd rather play in the NHL because you play more games than I. Think you're it'd be longer I think it would be longer and are also I. Really liked the mentality of they are not just you think you'll get more CD from football for. About thinking about it like there's his for sure there's hitting on every single every single player basically on the fields making contact. It's like that show like. They've made strides which means again where but but there's Literally just constant contact all hockey. There's a lot of contact, but it's not The game is not revolved around contact. You know what I mean yeah, and then you think about the professional. College football, there's A. Half Supernatural I love hockey. What a lot of other story hockey is super physical maybe even more as far as like getting hit by take changes but you're not getting head injuries. Do you think is more of a mental game mental game? I mean all the pants I think hockey is just nothing but green and think hockey is more of a mental than than certain positions for football do majority of Brazil. How your attention span isn't goalie aired I. Don't get how they do it. I mean it is a small neighborhood off you just Kinda like not looking at it's a small their fire what he's a hundred dollars hardy soccer goalie. An or an every played soccer. Tonight. I played soccer like. Going yeah, and I've actually been pretty niece in like a I could say, not a decent level neither of ice hockey billing. Say Hockey just because. It's just such a small pockets coming in one hundred miles an hour you guys. Because I think soccer because only because the ball which one do you think? What do you think your score more hockey I'd like to average like three or four roles. I don't watch soccer but I think a lot but I think. A lot of you play bendit think of trips. But the average ice rink as appeared to like an average soccer field like an ice rink is what like fifty to fifty two yards was like half the half the size and it's about.
