"Peleg. Thank you for making time for us today. Thank you for inviting. So we've chatted a little bit. And i guess we've hopefully by the same person you were recommended to me and and i to you but my my introduction to you really was just from watching some of your videos that you have on on youtube right now and i'm aware that there's hours and our maybe even hundreds of hours of your material there that that i haven't seen but i definitely thought of an immediate in how you were thinking about a poker and in particular how you're thinking about like the relationship between I guess just like how we as humans should be using salvors and the kind of a software. That's that's out there now. So i guess i just wanna make sure i give people the heads up that your your youtube channel girl. A poker is is fantastic. And i'm sure your material on run at once and the other material that you have the you sell directly. I'm sure it's quite good as well. Thank you thank you actually. I think my first video. On ron and don's Was exactly about these kinds of eurosctics sticks. Were the first menu i ever made. It's about something called showdown value bumps. His aunt attorney heard about Now i would like to hear my brother. So what i do this. I- i- review a hand and we actually have an article about it on the grill of poker website. This while i review a hand where you can see on some like a seven deuce board That Po solver is barreling on the turn with baltim- parents. You know how. Sorry i'll i sometimes Too much in my own head that it's martin versus bay blind hand a seven deuce board and you solve are betting one third on the floor and then i show that on the turn it over bats with most of its deuces and I kind of want. I sat video. Is that the. If if like most people would look at the hand would be okay and do this probably over batting in order to triple-barrel because it blocks the top of the other player An and kind of move on and not pay too much attention to it. But then i start kind of showing that i actually lead the deuce only over bets on very specific turn cards if the board is a seven news You actually only over backed with compare if the turn is king queen. Jack rhythm that you don't over bet on turn on any any other cars with Comparison and you also fire ever on very specific rivers and you don't on other evers and bar to the point of the video is Now i know all these things. Because i know i the hand bets term that if you don't know why that's the turn your just chewed on the dark at whenever you try to anything that the salaries doing

eBay's Marketing Strategy Changes in a Growing Competitive Field

"Could you expand a little bit. On what i was talking about in the introduction ebays current marketing strategy with regards to specific individual categories. What's happened in the last few years is a number of vertical competitors have emerged that are changing customer expectations in specific verticals so for example stock x comes to mind as a company that has been involved in the sneakers category or krono twenty four in the watches category and so as a result ebays had to really step up its game to build out experiences that light buyers in the light sellers in those specific verticals. For example you base rolled out a po- sale authentication program in sneakers to both protect eire's and protect sellers and make the customer experience fantastic. This is working. The company's been doing quite well and those categories were ebay has been able to build a differentiated. Experience are really really growing now. Ebay is looking to expand and build up more those experiences so this vertical plan seems to be working. What's the next vertical and ebay marketing plan. Ebay motors is a new focus for ebay. Ebay motors of course includes both vehicles and parts and accessories and about a year ago. Ebay launched an ebay motors. App is focused on vehicles. So that was really the first major new investment that ebay made in motors and now ebay is expanding that to also include ebay parts and accessories which forces all the parts to go with those vehicles. And it's mostly car parts but also includes both parts and plane parts and truck parts and the rest that is the investment that he is now. Making historically parts and accessories has been one of ebays largest verticals. And it's done very well over the years you know. Ebay is really excels when we can bring together a large group of sellers of all sizes and a great exorbitant to a national buyer base. And that's really what he been able to do in parts and accessories but much like in other verticals over the years. Customer expectations have evolved and part of that has been driven by an expansion of some competitors. That have really up the game in excess raise and ebay a while still the best marketplace in terms of selection is in a position where we need to make investments to make sure that the selling and the buying experience is differentiated and his best in class.

How Do We Balance Ambition and Time for Ourselves?

"Do we balance ambition and you time how many of you have massive goals. How many of you have things that you really want to achieve things that you believe our priorities in your life and that you regret if you didn't achieve them but then how many of you will experienced bernau. How many of you feel like you're not getting enough sleep. How many of you feel like you're always comparing yourself to what everyone else is doing. It can be really hard to manage the fine line between ambition and acceptance. How many of you ever get lost in that discussion of amai. Two ambushes am i to accepting am i too complacent like how many of you get into the mind massive at all and you sitting there going. Oh i'm i'm not doing enough. I'm not doing enough. I'm not doing enough evans doing so much or the other way he he like while i am doing so much i need to take a break. I need to actually listen to myself. Po bailey once said that a person without ambition is dead a person without a person without ambition but no luck a person with ambition but no love is dead. A person with mission and love for their blessings. Here on earth is ever so alive. If you've been listening to this podcast for awhile you've heard me talk about how to maximize your productivity and impact. You've also heard me talk about how to live a life filled with more meaning and purpose. And you've probably heard me mentioned the importance asleep and activities like meditation exercise. But he's the big question. How do we do it all. Can we do it

Covid vaccine: PM to have AstraZeneca jab as he urges public to do the same

"When johnson talks about the uk's world-beating response to covid nineteen vaccine pogrom passes muster. It's been an unqualified success or one of the reasons. His conservative party are so far ahead in the polls over twenty five million brits have received their job so fall but the government unexpectedly announced show fall in the number of vaccines delivered in april juice. Supply issues and the debate has a geopolitical angle. To given the you struggling with its own vaccine rollout slovan the line. The european commission president on the block might even consider export controls. All options are on the table. We are in the crisis of the century. And i'm not ruling out any anything for now because we have to make sure that europeans are vaccinated as soon as possible so sarah. Let's begin with the overall state of the uk's vaccine pogrom based on what was set out in december. It's pretty much all going to plan fairly high levels of takeover ninety four percent i believe and the government is insisting that all over fifty will have had their first job by the middle of april. So what's the problem. Well a week ago we would have said. This was indeed the most Astonishingly amyloid success and a sign of vessel. Buoyant moved around it. Was that the with some very clear briefing to a couple of the saturday newspapers suggesting that we were actually going to move to the over forty's much sooner than expected so it was a bit of a jolt to find out on wednesday that in fact. Nhs people involved in the program had been told that they must hold booking any new appointments throughout april because the been a sudden very significant reduction in the supplies available so that really has put the first serious dent in the narrative which right from december the eight. I think it was the day. That william shakespeare became one of the first two vaccine as now suddenly. The government is in the unaccustomed position of having to explain what's happening and explain why some of the public expectations that they'd raised so hard may not be met to be fair to the government. They still absolutely insisting they're on track with the two big dates that they've set for this program that all over fifty should be vaccinated by the middle of april. And all adult britons. Who wants a job will have had it at the end of july. But there's no question that it's been a difficult political management problem for them this week and very much not the position that they'd hoped to be in the club. Let's have a look at why this might be happening and seven. I spent a lot of this week speaking to people. Whitehall trying to figure out exactly what was going on behind the scenes with matt. Hancock gave us a of clarity in the house of commons and the government is pinning own production issues. The first one is this batch of one point seven million jobs that we sent back for testing and the second thing is the supply from the soham institute of india which again the governor's put down to supply issues but others are saying that actions being blocked by modi's government from shipping out to the uk. Exactly it is pretty opaque what's happening. There are two elements. Here that can hold up. Supplies one is the genuinely technical difficulties in producing a complex biological process. I mean it's not straightforward zanu vaccine and a lot of the manufacturing sites haven't made this sort of marin a vaccine before it scale factor. You could say none of them have because this is the first one. That's the fiso won. The astra zeneca at novartis vaccine is also level to a complicated process. So there are technical supply issues and then there at the political ones. You alluded to and i don't know whether the serum institute of india supply has been blocked for political reasons because india was having rather a good downturn in covert cases. But that's turning up again. Unfortunately and there are feelings. That indian government wanted to have it at home. This is so. I think if we look at the context of this a lot of it is actually not that much of a serious problem that we were crunching the numbers this week and april is a significant moment in the vaccine program for the uk. Because yes they were vaccinated all over fifty which according to people like christie chief medical officer of england which uses ninety nine percents of deaths on messages the pressure on the nhc s. But eneko you have to install the second jobs. Really the po- gum began to scale up towards the end of january and eleven week window. The nhl is set between the first and second doses. That really kicks in april and but hancock said this week that really still going to be delivering about fourteen million jobs throughout april which is low though. It's been in march but it's still a pretty high number so it's probably good to keep it in context with feels really what's gone wrong. Here is expectations that the rogue briefing about forty s really feels like delivers come off the bush tourism bush. Johnson's tried to restrain for much of twenty twenty. One yes and i think some. Nhs officials were less than delighted about that huge raising expectations last weekend. In a way. I think this was always going to be a difficult point for the program. It was absolutely predictable that at the point at which second doses to scale up there was going to be a deep in first doses. So it's perhaps unfortunate that there wasn't more subtle public preparation. You're absolutely right international standards even in april. We're still going to be doing more. Vaccinations than many of our counterparts. So it's particularly unfortunate wasn't better preparation. Because i think in the minds of a lot of britain's the will now be a sense of this program isn't doing well it's stumbled. It didn't have to be this way that it could have been very differently presented. And after all as i said the government is still on track to meet those two deadlines that it says now clive. We need to put this in the context of europe as well and we heard from s. the von d'alene at the top. That and you still really struggling with its vaccine vo loud but the most baffling things. She's seen this week. Is the story about the astra zeneca job and how effective or side effects. That may have in this concern. Over blood clots we heard from the ama from the nhra in the uk from the world health organization. All saying there are no concerns about blood. Clots and ashes annika vaccine yet at didn't stop lawson countries from halting giving out the doses. It's a very complicated picture on side effects. At least the spotlight turned away from efficacy. Before countries in continental europe were worrying that the astrazeneca vaccine wouldn't work well enough to older people. I think the efficacy questions have more or less be answered now. The spotlight is on whether they're adverse side effects and a few of those have been discovered there. These two different sorts of blood disorders do with abnormal clotting thrombosis that have been detected in people who just been vaccinated in norway in germany elsewhere on continental europe. The numbers are tiny. I would say fewer than twenty around the continent. Investigation is still continuing. There's no proven link with the vaccine. But a lot of vaccine knowledge ists the might be a link. But that is no reason to stop the vaccination program when it's saving tens of thousands of lives probably and people have said that just by halting for a few days the astrazeneca vaccination and continental europe. This week until the european medicines agency said it was okay that would have cost lives. It loves cost lives directly because people weren't getting vaccinated and it also probably unfortunately of cost lives indirectly because all the publicity about ad side effects will just undermined confidence in the vaccine

Right Person for the Right Job

"Let's go ahead and shift and start talking of. Yeah the article. I am curious. Article basically is fairly recent piece. It is from twenty nineteen and it is by rayton yellow bec- and wrap t and so the article is called fit perceptions work engagement satisfaction and commitment so very straightforward title. Unlike many that we often see And it was published in the journal of managerial psychology. Which we don't usually pull many articles from but i thought that this one was a really good just kind of straightforward streamline message about the importance of a person job fit to help. Everyone understand why you should be interested in that topic awesome. Yeah so you're telling before we started recording. This is pretty straightforward. So what money give us some definitions. I or sure and then we kind of dive into it. Yes absolutely so. Let's talk first about fit so there are different types of fit that you can have on the job so you can feel that you fit well with your supervisor. You can feel that you fit well with your co workers. You can feel that you fit well with your group or your team The ones that we're gonna be looking at today are feeling like you fit well with your job and feeling like you fit well with your organization and so those are actually two of the most prevalent or they are the two most prevalent types of fit. That i've been studied in the research and particularly fit to the job has been studied with a lot of. There's been a lot of focus on that in the research and it is important that you fit with your supervisor you fit with your co workers. You fit with your team but in studies that have looked at them all together. It seems like person job fit and person. Organisation fit tend to be Have have stronger relationships with some important outcomes Than other types of fit as well so they they are quite important and so let's talk about what they mean so person. Organisation fit is the compatibility between a person and their organization so that the organization provides what the person needs and that they feel that they share fundamental characteristics with the organization so something about the organization represents who they are as a person And that the person also represents the organization so they sort of share similar values basically is. Po fit And they might also share similar like beliefs. They might have similar goal sets things like that. So sort of the culture of the organization and the value of the organization fit with who the person is. And that's person organisation fit. And i think an important thing here is As people are thinking about this idea it's not just the culture is obviously important that you feel like it's culture that you like you're getting the theory leads met but sometimes you can be in a place where you've got a great culture but there's something about the values don't align with you can still make you feel a little iggy. So he met value piece is really important. You wanna make sure that you're aligned to what the organization is doing or you believe in the mission to some extent To really have a strong person organisation fit. Yeah and i mean you can think about this. There's actually a case that was done at jewel which is like the vaping company and their culture as a company is really positive but they lose people because people can't get on the board on board with the mission of selling people on vaping right now the way that they reframe it for people is that it's for you know they try to say that it's four people who smoke and they're trying to get people who smoke nicotine off of nicotine onto jewels rate or not nicotine who smoked tobacco off of tobacco that goes in your lungs etcetera and onto jewel but there's also like heavy marketing towards you know people that don't smoke already and so people that's an example of a place that as a case that they use in business schools A place that has a really good culture but they lose people due to the values pretty frequently interesting. I'm glad you had a case. Speak to that like some examples in my head but Some that. I wasn't necessarily as excited to share because i know people that were concerned places. But i don't know anyone who works at so i don't care i'm so so so yes. So that's we're gonna nation. So it's more like a broad-based. I stands for and i like the culture here Person job fit is basically a similar idea but between the employee and their specific job and there are sort of two components that make up person job fit. So one is that i have. What the job requires. So what's needed to do the job. I possess so my knowledge skills abilities and other sorts of things mash with what's required for me to do the job so my personality meshes what i know how to do. My skillset meshes well with what's required to do the job at another piece is that this job has what i need in order for me to feel fulfilled and that could be with regard to i get the recognition that i need. I have working conditions. That i like. I have pay. I appreciate i see myself as having career advancement in this job. So it's not just about the tasks duties and responsibilities. Do i feel like i can perform them. Well but also do. I feel like i have other things that i would need out of the job itself that fulfil what i want out of my career. Yeah and that kind of ties into the piece of. I know how to do a task but for the task is really boring to me too. That's another important part. I know i can count marbles all day long like to be able to count them. I have the capacity to count. But i would be so bored and it wouldn't be engaging me i wouldn't feel the challenge that i need or you know. Be making an impact. That i need or something like that and those those components are important. So i think that's a really good point that it's you know it's not i mean the definition is not just around you. Can you do the work. But is that work also going to be meaningful for you.

Checkride Turbulence And 3 Books

"What's up. Walling a bobby how are you. I'm great nother week. 'nother show we Shows grown a lot and we want to think about the listen to the show. We are back to another check right episode. This is something. We put together that we're branding or calling. Check ride turbulence taking the bumps check rides and this week. We want to talk about really something basic to help you. Prepare for the check ride That that wally sees too few people doing and that. I enforced here about some students that come to us from other schools. Don't use these books on a regular basis and as we become commercial pilot's probably think of more but a student pilots. You should have and be aware of three big things as it relates to flying. There's obviously more but these are three things for the check. Ride the p. h. The acs and the foreign name. And if you were to bring those three books to your check ride and actually know how to use them know. What's in them. I think you'd be surprised how easy that check ride. They would go would you. Would you agree. Well absolutely i. i remember my first I grew up in an aviation family. I flew with my father quite a bit as a as a very young Young little boy. But i took my. I what i call my first real flying lesson on august. Thirty first nineteen eighty-one so almost forty years ago and it was in a tomahawk piper tomahawk. Who was two five four nine alpha and member walking The the i fly. We flew for about an hour and we walk back into the flight. School the f. b. l. And i remember my instructor taking me right up to the counter and there's a little display case there and he said you need to get that book right there and you need to learn it now. I have already done private pilot. Ground school so i already had a copy of the f. a. r. a. m. and You know. I had a jepson Private pilot book and so i was Well on my way. But i remember him saying okay. You need to buy that book and you need to know everything in it. And so that night i remember going home and opening up the po h. And starting to remember it To memorize it and learn it and you know. I remember learning the menu. The propeller manufacturer was a seventy eight inch propeller fixed pitch. And i'm i'm thinking to myself. Well okay he said. I needed to learn it so you know what that meant on that day did you. Did you instantly know what all that Probably not probably not. But i did. I learned it And nowadays I i went back. And i think of my career my aviation career and how many check rides. I've taken over my career. And i i don't know how many it is but it's a lot and i don't think i have ever taken a check ride in an airplane that i did not have a personal copy of the po h whether it be in print or digitally I went to my bookshelf. The other day and i found that tomahawk manual. I still have it. it's again. It's over forty years old. I have a a beechcraft baron manual. I have a beechcraft duchess. I've bonanza manual. I have one for a a warrior and they're old but they're they're still good information and a mess still valid and of course with the airlines You know the issue you manuals and back in the day used to be paper manuals but now it's all digitally transmitted the ipad so that makes it very nice but again i have never taken a check ride in an airplane that i did not own the manual to And you know so. What are you studying the manolo. The peo- h we're talking about here So what do you study well you know obviously limitations It's more knowing where it's more knowing how to use the manual then knowing what's in it And and i tell people man you know if you're just gonna spend ten minutes getting an overview of the manual. Maybe the table of contents for each chapter might be a thing just so you know what's in there. Yeah and we'll we'll show some of my lack of pilots. When i was a student you know. And and how i got smarter as i got more proficient in probably happens everybody but i fly. Our one eighty two a lot now flat a lot with my family. I check the fuel Obviously a lot i have. A dipstick tells me how much fuels in that and recently I think i asked a rampart or somebody to check that for me before i went then i checked it again before i went in the numbers aren't the same that i had asked for and i thought that was a little bit odd But they they they want and did that with the dipstick and they they had the wrong dipstick of course but i asked him. Do you know in the ph where to look at. How many gallons are in the tank because they had a dipstick said a different number of gallons in that particular tank and this is a student pilot who wants to learn and i wanted to teach them and also teach my staff as well as saint. Thomas said where do we look. Let's go pull out the peo- h. And look at it and it was funny. They jumped towards the back and performance in the fuel system. And all these other places but as you talk about limitations there's a pretty good summary right up in the fourth or fifth page that drives about what each tank has in it and that's a quick way to verify and to your point about knowing how to use the book i don't necessarily need to know every plane and every tank size and everything at an airport but if i'm going to go fly that plane i better know where to find out how much fuel it can hold.

Here's how to support and celebrate Seattle's first-ever Black Restaurant Week

"There Seattle restaurant week and how this works is hundreds of restaurants in the city participate. They have a special three course menu with a set price, And this is all designed to lower diners in But this week is Black Restaurant Week, which is also a marketing campaign to encourage people to eat and black owned rest. Drawn. But the founders of Black Restaurant week which they're based in Houston, actually, but they have expanded out to the whole country, said that a lot of restaurants that are owned by black people don't have these fancy menus and three course menus, so they were always being left out. So I spoke with Reginald Robinson. He owns Alphas, Louisiana, Cajun seasoning and spices in tents, and he decided to open his Alien store because he's from New Orleans. And he couldn't find any of the foods and products that he misses. Red beans and rice are greens, Po boys, catfish, We have alligator. We have the stuff called Boo Dan. We have crawfish and everything in our story is have that Louisiana brand to it. Gonna top sellers is familiar at being because you know, everybody On Mondays they cooked red beings down in Louisiana just to start. Thing they do. Sometimes we even bring blueberry ice cream here. Anyone down south Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, your eyes light up. People be like, Oh, my God, you have bluebell. So Fallon Farrell, who is one of the founders of Black Restaurant week, she says, Because it's systemic racism, it could be harder for a black person to get a bank loan when they're opening a restaurant. The issued in our community is that a lot of businesses a started with people's personal savings credit cards. Usually when they do get loans. They have higher interest rates, so they just don't have that financial will go room. It's really sustained major hits to a business and so you know, a lot of them really weren't able to get the first round of P P p loans and She says, because of the marketing that happens when they do black restaurant week. They really do bring new customers. And I think last year the average ourselves increases about 30% most businesses. CIA, increasing their social media following us well And then when we talk about ongoing business opportunities, people call us all the time. They because all the time about like, Hey, we're hosting a food truck festival. Give me your list of black on food trucks, You know, so it just creates ongoing business opportunity. So the cool thing is, we kind of talked businesses like Welcome to the network because we're always able to push back our opportunities for you. So I thought to Reginald about if he wants to be identified as a black owned business, you know, at this point, there are a lot of women who say I don't want to be the best female stuff. Can I just be the best chef and I wondered if Reginald just wanted to be a business. Until people realized that you know everybody's equal. You may have to do that so we can get attention. But my whole dream is that you just treat black restaurants just like you a tree. Another restaurant. People don't believe it. But as black owned business, you have to go that extra mile. Just to prove what other people don't have to go through, and that's my dream and hopes one day did. We don't have to do that. It is black History month. That's why I thought that it would be a great opportunity to do this story. I don't have it online yet. But in about an hour if listeners go to my northwest dot com slash Rachel Bell, you can find a directory of black businesses in the region on Deacon Go. We don't support local businesses because they all need your money right now.

"It's red at once and then you read it again. Can't believe this is Bob and cherries believed the they have a new obsession that fits him with my old obsession with abandoned places and ghost towns. This is brand new obsession China. It is such a different place. The culture is so different. The government is so different. It's it's almost like what I'm about to tell. You is going to sound so made up. But the Chinese government made a plan about thirty or more years ago were they decided that in order for China to be world dominating superpower for that they had to move the Chinese people into urban centers in cities and get the making things and selling things into into the global marketplace So thirty years ago the Chinese government came up with a plan that they would build hundreds and hundreds of new beautiful cities all over China and by the year. Twenty twenty six which is used to sound like science fiction but at six years from now they would move two hundred and fifty D. million people out of rural China into these cities. That's six times the number of people who live in California give you an idea so China uh-huh said about building the cities and they've built them hundreds of them and they're empty they're like they call them in China. They call them go cities really. I'm talking parks shops. Skyscrapers public spaces. Didn't the People WanNa go well schools People don't want to give up their old way of life. Their villages their farms the rural communities. So like they. They built one city for example called combat-ready and it's designed to hold half a million people but fewer than one hundred thousand people actually live there and you want to visit these places. That's your obsession. Awam obsessed with abandoned places anyway. Yeah if I if I could could spend a year visiting China's go cities. I don't think you could. I don't think the government would allow that. I'm sure they wouldn't Some of them are more complete fleet than others and some of them look a little bit like Hollywood movie set certain but they're all under construction. So there's there's one city city And it's a one and a half square mile replica of Manhattan complete with the Twin Towers and Rockefeller Center. What you didn't know about any of this none of us know about any of closed society There's a photographer who somehow got got into China and got permission. And he's going around. I'M GONNA post this link up. I want to see the going around and posting photographs. Then he went to another city that hold. Hold up the replica of Manhattan of Manhattan. Now the buildings are not to scale are they all I can tell you is what I don't know I haven't been there. I can only only tell you what I know from. This guy's work then. He went to another city. That's about a little over four square miles. It has a giant man-made lake paths. What's benches twenty four hours a day soft Chinese music emanates from hidden speakers? What's there that's Buki you there? There's there was a building. Their buildings were as tall as the twin towers. Good Lord Wow while they started to build a like half. The buildings aren't completed. Oh yeah okay. There are Skyscrapers that from the outside side. They're finished. I don't know what the inside looks like. They're completely empty and dark apartment buildings from the outside they look completely finished totally empty empty and dark and of course that lake with all the paths and benches and the music that I just described. No one's there. You know what the problem is going to be the atrophy of these buildings endings because for a building to be healthy. You've got to have people living in it. It's got to be kept up on a regular basis and that doesn't sound like that would be possible with that many buildings the other problem they have. They have plan probably right around this time to decrease the population and the idea. was you know we have an awful lot of mouths else to feed however what they have now is an aging population and no younger not none but fewer younger people coming on to do the heavy lifting and to be the future well and these people these two hundred and fifty million people living in rural China Some of them say I don't want to move there because it's creepy. 'cause it's mostly empty and it feels kind of dead and and it takes. It takes a while for a city to get a soul. All right cities usually grow organically start out small and they spread and spread and spread and spread and it takes for years. These look like movie sets. These photographs are amazing. Isn't it interesting that we know so little about that that shows you how button button-down that dictatorship is it's very it's very. I was surprised that this photographer guide in and was able to take these pictures. So anyway if you're into ghost towns and abandoned places and just look at the the wildly spooky idea of a Manhattan replica. Sitting empty in the middle of China's post host the links up on our facebook. Steve see it super cool stuff. It's Bob and Sheri Ganesh Lamar's review sent right to your phone text movies the north you have a hit. TV show. They really never go away but some of them look silly decades later you can see awesome stuff on cable you you look at it and you say Oh my God this thing moves so slowly your this is really so stupid but there are some shows that have really stood the test of time and a bunch of them were posted online. The other day and I I wrote down what they were telling me. If you agree that these shows still hold up today are still. It'll entertaining invalid or K.. And maybe we could add to it to starting us off his buffy. The Vampire Slayer I. Yeah I think it holds up you know I. I didn't watch it a lot but when I did I thought it was going to be one thing. But it wasn't. It was a little more clever than I thought it would be. And I think it would hold up. I think it does us. She was Great Sarah. Michelle Gellar The next one is more can mindy Robin Williams. I don't know I don't think so I don't know. Do you know why People Watch that show for him. Yeah so yeah didn't matter yeah. It was just him riffing he. He's he's the concept doesn't work but the PR- The performances work was funny. How Pam dubber really didn't have a big career after that you know? She was so pretty and she was a good actress but she was so in the shadow of him on my sister. Sam and her co Star in my sister. Sam was a young actress. Chris named Rebecca Schaeffer. who was murdered by a stalker? Oh that's right and I think that was kind of the end of my sister of of things for Japan dog. Curb your enthusiasm. I think that holds up. I think that holds up really good. You know I love the show I love Larry David but boy there are so many cringe worthy moments on that show and that's what they were supposed to be but you would just say. Oh God man. Don't do that too all do it. And then he do. You would think cheers. Yeah I skim pass reruns of that every now and again. It's cleverly written. I think I don't see this anywhere but it was a groundbreaking round breaking television show. Should it be included on shows that stiller valid alley mcbeal. Why is that not in reruns anywhere? I've Nah I haven't seen it in years. Well maybe it's because it didn't run that long did it is fat and reruns anywhere tied alley. McNally mcbeal it was his groundbreaking Mash I got. I got tired of mashed toward the end. But let's face it. It was a great show right but I think I think it does hold up. I know you never liked it all that much but Seinfeld deserves the beyond. This link feels on Hulu in who prime. Okay Frazier sure. Yeah I think yeah yeah definitely. This one is kind of out of left field. It was really a quirky show. You and I loved it we were. We're just talking about one of the actors the other day. My name is earl. I think it holds up. I think it holds up existed in. Its Own universe. It did I know like a Coen brothers movie. It did yeah. It was so quirky the Mary Tyler Moore Show which I'm sure is on somewhere I haven't seen it in years and years it's it's on some boomerang. Something yeah she was darling and the cast was so perfect. Ted Knight as the pompous newscaster. Lord's really. Yeah Yeah I think it does hold up that see I all you guys going to agree with this. The golden girls. Yeah yeah twin peaks six. Yeah Sabrina the teenage which because again it exists in its own very. It's all things. Yeah that's right she was she was great in a two and sees this the last one. No Malcolm in the middle. I thought that was well done. Yeah I think I got the cast was perfect for that Veronica Mars. Yeah absolutely yeah I think so too. And that's pretty much it that was the added. I was telling you guys the other day that I watched the last leg half hour of the love boat episode. Yes and it ended You know they all have happy endings. Story gets resolved and all those TV shows in that day would end with like a punchline line on a freeze frame of the actors. Exactly how that episode end it. Captain Stooping an Isaac Gopher Julia together on the deck and Captain Stephen Turns to Isaac the bartender and Isaac of course is the the African American on the cast. Captain Stooping Isaac and says I I I have a question. What's that Sir? What exactly is a jive? Turkey laugh track. and Ah q the music that Liz Jones writing got my drink. I think the Big Bang theory. It's too early now. But that's that'll be a little too early..

And Sheri's Jeff is a meteorologist based in Los Angeles right now and he joins us on the show. Jeff and I've heard some reports about the helicopter. Kobe Bryant was killed in a Ska course. He helicopter. There are a thousand of them flying around the world. They're they're highly thought of they're very very safe. And so you say to yourself was at the pilot what was it. What's their their weather? Tell us about as a meteorologist what it was the way so you know I am not an accident investigator. Let let's just say that right off the bat and they will be very thorough. But I'm sure that they'll be looking at the weather. And my guess. Is that the pilot in controlled flight flew right into to the terrain. So let me explain. You've heard people talk about the area around Los Angeles called the valley you know. Oh has in. She's a valley girl. Book Calabasas is at the far into the valley. It's actually in the canyons and the hills so so the helicopter flew up from Orange County. It crossed over into the Valley Around Glendale. Actually Hollywood bowl is and then turned off to the West There are a couple of busy airports Air Burbank Fan. I had to go around them. But then it basically headed toward Lord Calabasas and only in the last few seconds didn't start to gain altitude and it just basically flew into the ground mine. It's very mountainous there and I apologize for interrupting each mountainous there and the mountains have what we call a high prominence soon. Other words there are steep and it was. It was the fog what woke low clouds. I know that the van Nice Airport was reporting cloudiness at eleven hundred seat which means that the hills in calabasas would have been in the clouds And and you just have to wonder what an experience pilot take all of that into consideration. I mean that's you the sit ins happen even for the most experienced pilots when you hear of weather related airplane accidents. It's it's almost always a question of get there get there. Itis you know they they were coming up for Marin county so maybe it was an hour and a half or two who our drive is much easier to go on a helicopter but you know I mean there are just some times. You shouldn't be in a helicopter and smoke. This was probably one of them. I've read this was a while ago. 'cause I sell the sports he stuff because of my husband. I read that. Kobe preferred travelling in his helicopter because of his injuries it was painful for him to be in a car. For Jeff knows periods. Rhyme traffic in and that part of the world can be horrible. I don't believe that that's an assurance if you're in a helicopter I mean let it come out I but certainly but whether it's going to have to be something that is looked upon very carefully because in calabasas hillsides would have been hidden. They would have been in the cloud there. It is Jeff. Thank you very much front and we'll talk to you again soon. Thank you for that insight. Yeah you're welcome. Take care guys okay. It's Bob and Sheri the Free Bobbins Jerry podcasts. The CAST and Bob and Sheri Fund size named Jeff Fox on our show frequently really. He is a very dear friend of mine. I mean the last time I drove ketchups. Jeff's house it took me forever. Kobe sometimes he said was in a car for two hours in his muscles would cramp. Yeah okay well but this you know we're talking about we're talking about an aircraft you don't want to say you know most of the time you're GONNA be okay. I don't think that is. Jeff Jeff Fox knows the area pretty well so you may remember that in two thousand eighteen. Kobe Bryant actually won an Academy Me Award for short film that he made called Dear Basketball and he gave a very moving and very brief acceptance speech. And and I had Max pull it for you right here. Thank you for this amazing amazing honor. Thank you John. Williams was such a wonderful piece of music. Thank you verizon for believing in a film thank you Molly Carter without. You wouldn't be here until my wife Vanessa. So our daughters Leah Jonah and Bianca Yarmulke two-to-nil quarter. James Keep Growing the game in charting the path for the next because Lebron just surpassed Portugal's said the pass the very last thing the Kobe Bryant did it on social media was praised. The Guy that I'm so glad you said that overcame his racquet That's a that's a really big man. What Post that Academy Award Video Up to our facebook. If you haven't seen it so that you can see it and I know so many people that were only the most casual fans of of any kind of sport who are sick over this right because the magnitude of the tragedy more than sports it was. "Brussels sprouts with some sort of seasoning and olive olive oil? I've come around to a little bit of Brussels sprouts but maybe not three meals a day. It's so pungent and she eats almost every single day. I walked in the house about a week ago and I said when did they move in and she said what are you talking about the Eastern European Embassy that obviously lives in our house. Now the smell is all over Brussels sprouts. They really really stink when they're cooked non glad that she's doing that but that's a world away from Miss. I'd elite Pasta and look at all the cheese. No good for you you could make that though and then you could portion it out and freeze it and you could bring it to light for lunch Lynch. That will be meal prep. It's not a bit when you make something 'cause I I make food all the time that only I like that because it's just all vegetables and saucy food for me just to cook for one and have others living there just seems I don't know selfish or wrong. Well if one of them is eating raw meat and the the other one is eating Brussels sprouts then. It's not selfish to run your meal prepping. You could offer it to them. It's not like you're GonNa Hover over the Paco and no you could Offer it but this way you could eat the food you like and not waste it. Yeah maybe that's a good idea. I want to eat that so much I would instead of cutting it up up I would just put my face in it and just just bury it in there and eat it. I liked that and a guy do really well. I think you should make that was very popular when when I was single. Serve six nine. Sorry I lost focus for. Ah I think it's four four okay. No one will say you know Bob. That was actually pretty good. Oh No that won't come your way. But that's okay because you don't need that kind of validation because you're going to have lines actually actually I want lunch invalidation. Does that make me horrible person.
