Tiger Woods doesn't 'have much left in this leg' to compete

"Woods withdrew from playing at the tournament he's hosting in Bermuda this weekend. I don't have much left in his leg. The injury is plantar fasciitis in his right foot. I can take golf balls. It's the walking that just hurts. The plantar fasciitis is related to injuries would suffered in a car crash in 2021, which ended any hope of him playing on a regular basis. Geralt for the biggest ones and hopefully lightning catches in a bottle and I'm up there in contention with a chance to win and I hope that I remember how to do that. Tiger Woods also doesn't have much hope for the PGA Tour and Greg Norman Saudi funded rival league live getting along. Not with Greg there and his animosity towards the tour itself. I don't see that happening. As Rory said, and I said it as well. I think Greg has got to leave. Lawsuits and counter lawsuits have been filed. I'm Ed Donahue

The Last Hole Is Always the Best Hole

"I mean, the last hole, though, I think it's always the best one for multiple reasons. Dude, that's nerve wracking, because you've got pods for hundreds of thousands potentially $1 million down the PGA Tour. The last hole could be to make a cut on a Friday. Like you're just happy when that thing is done. It's not necessarily your favorite, you're just happy it's over type situation. Like if someone said, if you could play a whole over and over again for the rest of your life, specifically a whole, well, most courses for me, it probably wouldn't be the last so I picked some random one, but in a tournament, for sure. 1000%, 1000%, I would say that.

Charlie and Tiger Woods' Golfing Dymanic

"We got Charlie and Tiger. He picked Charlie and Tiger. He also talked about a lot of going to win the father son. They're probably going to win the father's son. I can think of no better scenario to in 2022 with the Tiger Woods coming. Coming back on the golf course and him and his son taken down, taken down the father's son. He could probably do you think Charlie Woods can be Tiger at this point? I don't know, man. I don't know. I heard Charlie goes to the weight room all the time. Like for however old he is, how old is he? 13, 14. He looks freaking like he's pretty swole. But I heard Tiger, I heard Tiger, he might not be playing it anymore. I don't know. Shows you how up to date we are with current golf events. I mean, I don't know why he wouldn't, unless he's really, really, really banged up, but I hope he does play 'cause that was fun to watch. Charlie swing, by the way, you can break stuff down and find false, but he has a lot of mannerisms just because he watched, I bet you, I'm assuming tigers his coach, right? Maybe he has another coach that looks at him, but I'm assuming tigers is his coach. And I mean, he has a hole in his backyard that you can hit a full 7 iron in. And the real estate just on that 7 iron hole is probably $50 million plus. This is just, I mean, different kind of wins, different greens, different everything. And I'm not saying that because there's plenty of, there's plenty of rich kids growing up. That were kids of guys on the PGA Tour and they grew up just being a bunch of assholes and weren't good at golf at all. And they just blah, blah, blah. A lot of them decided they were smart. They didn't want to play golf. Maybe they're a doctor or maybe they're trying to save the world. That's fine. But a lot of these kids, you know, you know them, you'll see them just get sponsored exemptions, blah, blah, blah. I think Tiger puts it in Charlie's head like, hey, it's going to be extra hard for you. I mean, who are they going to compare you to? Let's be honest, the goat. Right. So it's going to be extra hard and just as mannerisms, whatever, the way he talks when he does talk. He seems pretty chill, but that's a lot of pressure, man. But if there's anyone, I mean, what did Earl Woods do? Tiger. I mean, you know, talk about making the guy a mentally tough. I don't know if Tiger is that hard on Charlie. I really doubt it, but he probably took the good out of all that mental tough training and told Charlie what it takes. And maybe it just goes out there.

Jerry Foltz on Broadcasting LIV for the First Time

"You've done, obviously, PGA's for, I've known you long, long time. Nationwide tour way, way back in the day too. LPGA a long time. Different kind of broadcasts. This is streamy live. Have you ever done a live stream broadcast ever and was it like complete anarchy? Everybody's starting at once, that type of deal. I mean, what was the main difference when you guys started? Were you pretty nervous? Like what the hell is it about to go down? Yeah, well, when you're 60, you're talking about live stream, it has a total different need. Usually means what happens in the middle of the night. We showed up in London now, granted if you guys remember back then. It was talked about in ruby, then all of a sudden they announced a schedule and they announced we're going to play, they didn't even announce a field to the week before, and they threw that together in no time at all and going to London with 5 weeks notice to stage a golf tournament and to put it on TV. It was such a huge endeavor. All of the equipment all throughout the UK and most of Europe had already been all the TV equipment was promised out to other shows. So they put this together in a bunch of 40 or 50 cubicle thingies these little tiny trailers that you see on a construction site as an office. And made this work and made it sing. It was interesting to say the least, I'm working with a number of thebe. I mean, most people I've never met before. Absent the camera guys and the technicians, a lot of whom in the industry I'd known for a long, long time. But the people behind the scenes of people in the organization have lived, I had not met any of them. At all. And all of a sudden, I wasn't there. I was nervous since I've ever been.

Rory McIlroy Weighs in on Fall Golf

"I don't really care about falling off. I just don't. I can't get into it. I can't get into it. I saw Rory today was asked what they should do about the fog off schedule. Gary Gary Williams asked him that former golf channel great. I love Gary Williams. I think he was the best. He was the MVP of the entire station. Gary Williams asked for Rory. What they should do about the fall golf schedule. And Rory looked at him and said, football. That's it. Football. Rory doesn't like playing golf in the fall. I don't like watching golf in the fall, neither do you, neither does the public. Why play it? Like, the only reason they have to play it now is because they're so many PGA Tour players and with this, these 20 million, $30 million versus they have next year, it's going to be impossible for these kids to come off the corn ferry tour to keep their card with all these elevated events. So yeah, they have to have a ton of playing opportunities. Yeah. It's never going to, with these super with the super duper events, whatever they're calling them, the elevated events. It just means they're just wgc sees they're adding. Basically. They have to have the secondary events. It goes without saying they can't do anything about it.

How Spencer Levine's Game Has Changed With Age

"What I was most impressed with, Steen. Like you're almost 40 years old, okay? And you're going up against these guys. And I mean, I've played a million rounds a few. We hit the same, I am. I am out here by 50 yards by a lot of these guys. Like Paul bars and Paul barjon plays at my club here. And we played together. He's 50 yards by me. And he's right. And he lost his card on the PGA Tour this year. These guys are hitting it 50 by me. I know they're hitting it 50 by you. You had no problem being too back on Saturday. No problem. If you would have made a few more putts, you probably would have been right there on Sunday. But like, yeah, that's a thing. When you get to be almost 40 years old, like you are, and you know you're going to get out driven. You just have to, at some point, you have to middle game these guys. And that's something in your career. Same as me, and we've struggled with, right? Middle game is mental game has been tough because we're so hard on ourselves. You're the same way as me, we're just fucking get mad and whatever. Sure. But how have you chilled out? Like, how have you settled down in your later years? Well, you know, like this week, I think this week in a way, it was just a one week thing, so it was like, you know, or obviously I wanted to be more than that once you get in, you're playing good, you start thinking ahead, like, well, if I can do this, you know, you can go here there, obviously. But since it was a one week thing and you're kind of thinking of it more, I don't know, I felt like more of like, I don't want to say vacation, but I was just like grateful. You know what I'm saying? So that was kind of the mindset for the week. It's not like you've been on the road for 8 weeks, you know, missed a couple cuts, and you're getting bitter. It was like, okay, I got my time to play. So I had a good attitude all week, which was cool. And yeah, with the driving distance dude, yeah, these guys vomit, but dude, I looked at my stats, they're pretty good. I was in the top ten in strokes gained off the tee overall, which was pretty good. I saw I was number one in fairways hit, and then like middle of the pack distance, but like, so I was top ten combined, which is pretty good. You know what I mean? It's not like I was short and then I think the first two days I was number one in green's hit too as well. So like I just hit it really good last week,

President's Cup Was a Snooze Fest

"All right. The president's cup is over. Praise the lord what a snooze fest that was. Kevin kissed her once again proves that he is the greatest partier on the PGA Tour, probably the only person that's ever played professional golf that can hang with John Daly. Kevin kisner and the United States team dominate the international, I think, in my opinion, that the international team was gifted a couple matches in order to get that shit to Sunday. I don't think that that was legit. Like, they could have buried them if they wanted to. They could have buried them alive on Saturday. They chose to drag it out to Sunday. I don't know. I don't know why. I'm not sure. Who cares? I don't know. This all speculation. This is a speculative pod, not a fact based pod anyway. Do you have any kids or the ultimate champion this past week?

No One Can Possibly Be Excited for the President's Cup

"Well, like I'll sell it. I'll sell it for pennies on the dollar, you know, outside the gate, good night. That's my daughter. She's just, she doesn't know what to do about the world of golf. Got context today, by the way, first time at a glasses. Volleyball got hit in the face with glasses, had to switch to context. Anyway, that's sitting there. Yeah, tough adjustment. I'm sitting there and I have this corporate ten or whatever. I'm like, dude, I wasn't live versus PGA Tour for the president's cup. Call it the freaking traders cup. Call it whatever the hell you want to call it. Yes. Yeah, streaming on Pornhub, platinum subscription. I don't give a shit what happens like people are going to tune into this thing like you've never even seen or heard in your entire life. Right. It's going to be tenfold of what it is right now. And I don't even want to discount how good the players are for the international team that are going to end up making it that never would before because they're a lot better than you and I are. However, it's not the same. And then the PGA Tour teams watered down too because they're missing some of their best guys. Right. So if you're listening to this and you're really intrigued about watching the president's cup, you're a free con serial killer. You go around, stocking people, where's the body? Let me know that type of situation. That's basically what's happened. There's no way anyone's excited to watch this. No. And I don't even know what it is. I don't even know what month to sit, I don't know. I only know where it is. That's the thing. I have not kept up with it at all. I don't care. And the problem is, I should care because I have friends. In it, and I don't know where it is. Sam Burns plant. Sam's plan. Yeah. And I have no idea where it is, when it is, no idea. I know that Sam won't even see the 13th pole. He won't even see it. No, like, whoever he's playing doesn't matter. He's like, he's a piece of two shot advantage every time he plays. And speaking of, like, that's a thing. Yeah, I don't even know the captains are. I believe it's Davis love. Is that correct? Is the captain of the stateless love in Trevor implement and I feel horrible because Trevor Owens a nice guy. Trevor Spence, he lost his he lost his best guys. I guess he gets Hideki like, can you clone a decade? Like, I don't know, like who cloned the first sheep. It was at in Scotland, go over to that guy, clone Hideki 11 times before this thing starts, and maybe we'll have ourselves a freaking golf tournament. Well, yeah, maybe. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe. No, I said maybe credit to myself for saying maybe. Maybe we would. 11 a decades might have a chance. Possibly, I don't know. With the current team, absolutely 0%, no chance at all. I don't know what the money line is on the United States in that one, but man. It's gotta be it's gotta be minus it's gotta be -900. I'm gonna look. You spend a million put a million on it to make a hundred grand. Like, come on. It's worth it though, 'cause it's a lock. I made that up. Let's see what it really is. It's worth it. It's a lock. Golf Fans Just Want the Best Players to Play

"That's it. End of story, then you don't have to worry about it. I mean, I know he's screwed with Tiger, creating his own tour of the Rory tour whenever people want to call it, but I don't know, man. The thing about Rory is like, still got Greg off ahead of him. It goes without saying, but he's not 21. Right. Or whatever. There's going to be all sorts of people coming up. So like, what's this all going to look like? Their skin probably have to be a marriage in this deal. The rumors on the street this week was John Ron was going. Like people were like popping off. There's a top ten. He's pissed at the rural tour. He doesn't want to play. Everybody thought it was wrong. I guess Ron came out and said fake news, not true. But there's more people are going to go, right? At some point, there's going to be some mergers, so maybe he's playing his cards. Maybe that's the deal. Maybe you talk shit the whole time. They were like, God, we're going to have to really pay this dude to kind of like, you know, come over to the dark side or negotiate or whatever. Who knows? I have no idea what's going to happen, but as a golf fan, I want the best guys playing plane in like mcelroy, what he thinks about the writer cop. I mean, I don't need to be rude, but it's totally irrelevant because the writer cup is run by the PGA of America, not the PGA Tour. And it's run by writer cup Europe, right? They have no say on who's on the American team. So if a couple of the guys make it, who cares? And as an American fan, I want the Americans to win. I'm not a freaking traitor, I want us to have the best team possible. So why wouldn't I want that? So then banning American guys hurts the American team, then banning Euro guys does it really hurt the Euro team at all. That's true. It's a good point. The thing that I really don't understand with all of this is that so you've got Rory you got Rory McIlroy in these guys talking against the live, okay? And you got guys that went to live. And you got PGA Tour players that went to live. And by the way, there are a couple guys on the PGA Tour that are playing this week by our boy, Jimmy walker, who's a friend of the pot, Jimmy walker, a great guy. And he's playing this week at the Leonard fournette championship out there in Napa Valley. And he's only playing because he was 54th in career money. 5 four. And four guys ahead of him went to live on the career money list. So he moved to number 50 and got a one time exemption to use on the PGA Tour, right? Because you get an exemption for top 50 career money, you get an exemption. Is that into everything or how does that happen? That's a full year. That is a full year. So you get a one year full year. If your top 50 career money, you get a one year full year career, you get a one year exemption. So like David toms is used one river. He was talking about that on FTP. Yeah. But there's a top 25 in the top 50. So Jimmy went from 54 to 50, so he had a one time exemption for an entire year and he's using it. This week, we're using it this year. He's playing the entire year, which that's helped a bunch of guys. Which I think is cool. Even though the guys that ended up leaving, obviously, are kicked out and banned forever, but whatever. Well, until they merge, wish they will merge, they will merge. This is ridiculous to not think that the lip tour and the PGA Tour will figure something out. They will. Norman and monaghan will run on the beach together hold hands and bathing suits and the world will be fine and a year probably. But until then, we've got to figure it out. And yeah, the top 50 career money list. That's kind of an interesting deal with all these guys going to live. It's opening more places up on tour for career money. Yeah, I mean, I love Jimmy walker like, I know your boys with Sam and he was on our parties and FTP guy and every time I look at his Instagram, he's like, here's this new grill. Here's the steak, reverse Sierra, like garlic butter, like I don't give a fuck. I wouldn't even know he was a golfer. I thought he was like the guy that does the sprinkles the salt. Yeah, I thought he was like the white southern Texas guy version of the guy that does that. But all of a sudden, I see pictures of him in 7 irons. He's like, here's my 7 iron swing and I was like, who gives a fuck? I was like, well, now I know why, because he's top 50 and he's practicing now. He's in an internment. He thought he was going to play nothing. Jimmy would Jimmy would Jimmy would probably agree. And I was like, well shit, now we gotta look at 700 swings instead of how to cook a delicious steak, but I'm here for, I'm here for regardless. I can't handle 7 iron and I can't cook a great steak, so. Yeah, there we are. So how many events did you play when you're in your year on the PGA Tour? Probably 30. You can play over 30 in one year. "I got a question from a guy named Timothy Dobbs. It sounds like he personally. But he wants to know how you became a noble athlete. I became a noble athlete through a friend of mine named Matt O'Keefe. Pretty involved in the fitness industry and all these different things. And he invited me up to New England before the Boston event, the first playoff event. And played with Todd from noble and got a chance to meet some of the crew and just kind of get a sense of who I was kind of on and off the golf course and how to involve training and different aspects of that kind of through all my life. Whether I was on the grass or in the gym and kind of developed into a relationship and kind of a conversation of how to go from just like a name and likeness to next thing you know it's like maybe we're going to do golf shoe. We're going to do head to toe and noble is going to be a partner in the tour and it just escalated very quickly and anything they put their name on and they take very seriously and it was an honor to kind of bring something that kind of had a huge interest in mind just in the fitness world and be able to bring it into the world of golf and kind of be a brand ambassador for them in the first got to kind of help them break through on the world of golf and the PGA Tour and it's been really cool and a learning experience for sure starting with a new brand and something that they've never really dealt with. A lot of challenges and a lot of cool opportunities that kind of came along with it and I'm proud to represent them both in the gym and on the golf course.

"What's your number? What's your, like, boo weekly always said, if you won 10 million bucks, you'd hang it up or tire. Obviously that didn't happen. You made way more than that. Blah, blah, Watson. Bubba Watson said if he won ten times on the PGA Tour he'd hang it up. He's won like 13th. So and two majors, yeah. I don't know if I have a direct number. More have more of a timeline. So I'm 34. I'll be 35 this fall. I think if I can play 15 years on tour, I would give me to basically 45 allow hopefully two kids by then that are kind of in grade school and I want to be their tee ball coach, who want to be basketball coach, I want to be around. My parents were great. They were always around for me. But if I can't live off of that, then I got probably bigger issues in my life. So I just think the other, like you said, you made a good point. There are people that play for legacy that play for whole thing, that major is like, that's just not one. I know, I know what my level is and it's not that top 20 levels. So I'm just going to, honestly, I'm playing out mostly fear of having a job. And so I'm just going to keep trying hard and keep going until I can stack it all up and not have to worry about it really on the back end. I'd love to play champions to where smaller champions are right at my ally. Like, you hang out with your buddies, three, three days a week, sounds like the live a little bit, but I don't really want to go there. So I just want to see kind of how long I can make this thing last, and I believe I have 5 really good years left in me. And then after that, if I could just hang on for dear life and with the purses increased all up on jazz, I'd like to. Kind of just see where this goes.

"Twitter handle at DP show. Rory McIlroy wins the FedExCup and the live tour adding more golfers as I told you I was given a heads up last week. Probably going to be close to 7 golfers joining the live tour, not necessarily big names. I don't know how they're squeezing them all in because it felt like it was a limited field. There's no cuts and you're playing 54 holes, but I know the cam Smith was the big headliner there, but after the FedExCup, I was told that there was not going to be a mass exodus, but there was going to be probably 5 to 7 golfers joining. PGA tours doing the best it can to defend itself against the live tour. And yesterday, that's the best defense. Rory McIlroy, this was the summer of Rory McIlroy. We may look back in 5 years and go, boy, that's when Rory became the face of the PGA Tour. And he walked the walk, talked the talk, but beat number one player in the world, Scottie scheffler, took $18 million home in the first place price. I will say I thought that NBC and peacock wanted to remind you maybe a little too often of how much money that they're going to make because it feels like now it's all about how much money you make or you're not making with the live tour and PGA Tour. But the live tour can offer the most money here, but it still comes down to does the golf matter to me. JJ & JP Talk Best Golf Investments With David Toms

"We've talked about investments like golf investments and we've talked about some business side of golf and all that on the FTP here. And I've brought up a couple of investments that I got in because of the guys I was playing in pro ams with. And I think I really do think the PGA Tour makes you a better businessman because you get to meet all these high powered CEOs and you have their phone numbers and email addresses you can call them and no one else can, they love golf, all of them love golf. So but one of the deals I got in was just a private equity deal and I was like, hey, you know, would you want to get into this deal? And I didn't do nothing about deals, just like 24 years old. This was ten year ten years. And so I threw a little money at it, and then they exited the deal. Last year, on a four X multiple. You know, and do you have any do you have anything like that? I'm sure you have a bunch of stuff like that that you could recall on over the last 30 years. But is there one that stands out where you had a relationship that you made at a pro am and it turned into something pretty lucrative for you? Well, yeah, I mean, a lot of the I can show you all the logos and my shirts and hats and everything else, but a lot of that comes from relationships of people that you meet along the way. And certainly, you know, I've always looked at it, hey, you know, they love God. But if you ask them about themselves and let them start talking about what they do, to me, that's a lot more interesting. Some of the people that we meet a lot of what they do and you're talking about, as far as investment stuff, I mean, I'm in one right now that I've met through a guy three or four years ago that just sent on outing in Mississippi and I started taking a look at what he did and started reading about it and, you know, I mean, I think I bought it at about 56. Unpacking Changes in the Golf Sponsorship Landscape With David Toms

"When I turn professional and even when I was first on the PGA Tour rookie, I had sponsors. I'm not talking like endorsement sponsors. I'm talking a group of people that put money together, so I was able to go play golf. And so now you have a situation where if you have a tour card, you don't have to have that. I mean, you have all the all the money that you need to go out there and take the pressure off and perform and pay who you need to pay to help you get to where you need to get as a player. Pay per expenses and have some security for your family. I mean, you still got to go out and play well and prove that you deserve to be there for long period of time. But you don't have to worry about the financial part of it and how do you pay how do you pay your caddy? How do you pay your credit card to bill for the month and those things? And how do you travel around that, you know, I think it makes a lot of sense. I mean, it gets you up there with guaranteed contracts and other sports and what minimum put minimums look like and here you make it to the highest level of your sport. And you certainly shouldn't have to go get a loan at the bank to help you pay your way to be able to play every week.

David Toms Describes the Champions Tour Retirement Plan

"I know that the champions tour got affected with the Liv golfer with the alls retirement. I was talking to Scott mccarran about that. And he said, I'm not sure the specifics you can help me on this one, but something happened with the retirement, where they canceled it for the champion store. What was that? Yeah, well, I mean, part of that was during this COVID time that everybody wants to call it. I guess that's what it was, but they we had about an $8 million contribution from the tour every year to the champions tour retirement. And they took that out for a year. Back two years ago, so two seasons ago, we did not have a champions tour retirement plan. They took away the contribution. Last year, we had it funded at about a 25% level from what it was before COVID. Wow. And now this year, they've put it back to $10 million, which is more than it's been since I was joined the champions tour. So whatever we asked for, we had a player meeting with the commissioner with monaghan and I wasn't actually there. I didn't play that week at the meeting was, but they told us that they thought it went really well and everyone voiced their opinion. And then amazingly, this year we got $10 million contribution to the PGA Tour champions retirement plan. So that all helps. You think everybody out here has made a ton of money over their career, but that's not necessarily so. I mean, you have a lot of guys that, you know, before a little bit before my time, that are out here playing that the person weren't worth they are even when I was playing. And so they didn't make as much money. And now they got put all their kids through college and now they have grandkids, maybe about to go to college and, you know, it's a big deal.

The Nasty Sting in Nike's Sponsorship Bonuses

"This is a fun fact about Nike that I had no idea about until a couple of years ago. Yeah, their bonuses are massive. Huge, best, best. Rest of apparel company and all the PGA Tour, but if you backtrack, say you're say your bonus for the years, a $1 million if you finish inside the top 50, all right? In the world. And you go to like 75 for each spot that you lose, you have to pay it back. Really? I don't believe that. That's true. It's true. I was told that by an Asian. By actually my old agent, told me that. So isn't that crazy? They're the only people that do that. So that's why they pay so much money is because if you backtrack, you owe it back to them. Not the whole thing, but a percentage. Of your big bonus, you owe it back to them. So it's kind of keeps those guys honest to a point. But yeah, I mean, you can obviously if you play well, you're gonna kick ass and make a shitload of money. So you don't worry about it, but if you backtrack, you pay back.

Explaining How the PGA Tour Playoff Retirement Funds Work

"The way that I think what most people don't understand, now it's different, but when I was playing, when you made the PGA Tour playoffs, you, if you finished topple in 25, no, it was actually top one 50. If you finished top one 50, you got a cash notice and you could elect to have it in cash or you could have it elected to your retirement. And that was 7 years ago. But 7 years ago, I finished like a hundredth in the FedExCup, I don't remember. 95th or a hundred, whatever. And I elected to have it all in the retirement. And I didn't even know what the bonus prize money would be from FedEx and their Saudi guys, but it was like a $100,000. And I didn't I never saw it, but now that I'm done and you have to give the PGA Tour a year. So you have to give the PGA Tour a year from when you're done, then the next time the calendar year rolls around, you get your everything, they just pay out everything to you. It doesn't matter if you're 25, 55, whatever. So I told them last year, I was like, hey, look, I'm done, I'm not playing anymore. Send me my shit next year. So that was 7 years ago. That was the only time I made the playoffs. They're sending me like $300,000. I don't even know. It was added on. So, well shit. FedExCup. Yeah, so credit to the FedEx and their Saudi ties for having all that money in the FedExCup. But my point of this is these guys that make it to this tour championship. Yeah, sure. You look at the cash that they're going to make this huge, but what's not shown is the retirement money, dude. The retirement money is huge if you make it to the tour championship. I mean, even if you just make it to the playoffs, period, but I felt like we had to cover that because that's something that the normal golf fan, the people that are listening to for the people in a weekly basis just don't know.

Cam Smith Takes a Week Off After Day-After Penalty LIV Punishment

"I think that I think cave Smith has already gone to live for one. I think the whole two shot penalty called in after the fact, 24 hours later, you know, most 99% of the guys at the PGA Tour, they let that slide, but because it was him and he's going, they called it on him. For sure. I mean, yeah, he probably did play it from the wrong spot, but golf's a gentleman's game, right? You don't always have perfect ruling, you don't always have black and white rules. There's a lot of gray area in some of these deals. And I've gotten away with some like you've gotten away with some of these rulings, you call for a different rules official sometimes because you don't like their opinion. That happens all the time. So there's no black and white, but anyway, I believe he's gone period, but for him to skip a week. It's just strange with back pain or whatever, then Willie Z pulls out after winning with back pain and pulled out of a tournament ever. With any pain, so it's just a bizarre bizarre week.

"They wouldn't be able to get in anyways, be like, I don't know who, you know, it's almost like if you're because you're not gonna be high enough on, you know, because the masters does have their criteria of top 50 and whatever it is. If you're not top 50 in the world, you didn't finish top ten in the FedExCup or whatever because you clearly didn't even play. You didn't win a PGA Tour event the last year because you don't play on the PGA Tour. Then you don't qualify anyway. So it's gonna be fucking tricky. I think that these guys are for now signing up to not ever play on the PGA Tour again and to not play in the masters and potentially the PGA Championship going forward, but I also think, I mean, they're going to file. It sounds like they're going to file Liv's going to file a lawsuit this week. Against PGA Tour. And against, you know, official world golf ranking situation that they're convinced, I think the live is convinced that their players are going to be able to play in the FedExCup playoffs, which I mean, that's gotten so real that that belief that Davis loved the third just came out and said, I was just looking like if the lift golfers are allowed to play on the PGA Tour again, we are going to boycott the president. It's got we're not going to play the president's cup. To the point yeah, he was like, we just want and then if we're forced to throw even allowed to play, by the way, he was like, by the FTC in Washington, he just kind of made these like crazy kind of like claims at it. We're just not going to play the president's call. He said, it was one of the crazy press conferences of all 5. Yeah, it's unbelievable. I mean, that's insane. I mean, how much of the world would burn? If Olivia won the FedEx, and then just won all that money. And then just goes back to live and just continues to win that money. Like, I don't know how the PGA Tour players accept that. This guy's making all the documents. All the dollars we have available for the whole game, the whole sport, like the old Tom Morris sport, he just won it all. He won all the time. Everybody else just has to live out sponsorship dollars. It's like you just can't win anything. Up to this point, I've been a PGA Tour guy, unlike Frankie and not a live guy, but I would say if that happened, I'm rooting for that to happen more than anything. I mean, the chaos from that. Nobody golf would just elevate into the stratosphere. Everybody would. The storyline guy told you great. I felt the same thing when COVID started. I told you guys this, like, a long time ago, like that first week, you're like, wow, businesses are closing. You're like, holy shit. This is fucking different. This is where were you moment? At this point, we haven't gotten to the point where when COVID was like, holy shit, this is gonna be two years. Like, this is the worst thing that's ever happened in our lifetime. People are dying. This is insane. I haven't felt that with Liv yet. It hasn't ruined golf for me yet. I'm still at the point where things are really interesting. I haven't felt affected that it's ruined the game for me yet. So yeah, if there's a lawsuit and we start seeing Roger Clemens type like, if they're at like the hell, like arguing. Rafael palmero, like fucking wagging their finger and that's gonna be fucking insane.

At southern hills, so he's got all the shots. It's so much fun to watch him. And he won two PGA championships now, which is rare. I feel like that's sometimes you see guys like bubba has two masters. Phil has like three masters. You don't see a lot of guys that have like two PGA champion, but you don't go two PGA, really. And he's the son of a PGA two U.S. opens. Was it two? It was U.S. open. Yeah, yeah. And then he won the U.S. open again and then he won two PGAs. I guess it's rare to see two PGAs out of the gate. Yeah. Yeah, 'cause he won the 2017 U.S. open in Erin hills 2018 U.S. open at shinnecock 2018 PGA Championship at or no. Yeah, 2018 at Bella rive 2019 PGA Championship at Beth page watch. Legitimately, he was getting the shot of us releasing the bowling shot. Toss. Dude, I'm telling you. The bowling roll. The bowling shot? There's a lot of bowling lingo that we don't know. We were saying hit in the wood. Also roll in The Rock. We're sneaky good bowlers. I bowled a one 94 you bowled a one 76 today. Yeah. Dude, I've had emboldened ten years. I haven't even though that might be a lie because I used to have a ball to have my initials on it. It's longer for me, probably. I was a little baby boy. That was an 8 pound. "We use it. I use it all the time when I go do my rigs versus videos. I legitimately use the barstool golf time app. I go find courses that I haven't been to before. I learn a lot about the course people write reviews about the greens, the staff, whatever they might be, you can leave reviews too. So go use the barstool golf time app. There was also a moment speaking of like, it brings you to tears and you're like getting the chills talking about. There was a moment walking up 18 with Tiger Woods, where I was like, in 2007, the first time I ever saw live golf, me and my brother were standing way behind that 18th green like 30 people deep peering between two other people trying to see the green while Tiger Woods raised the trophy at the trophy ceremony at PGA Championship and 15 years later we're just walking down the fairway of the exact same hole. Crazy. Talking to Tiger Woods. That was insane. What the fuck? One in a billion chance. Bazillion. Just where our lives have come from and all the things that have to happen to end up walking down the fairway. It really is, you know, we don't take it lightly, obviously. I feel like I died. I feel like I died and this is all just, I feel that way too. Heaven. That's a good added Jake. That's a great answer. Is that the Picasso? Yeah, I don't know. Bingo. Van Gogh, I think. It's a great picture. Jake edited the photo of Trent that we told you to go look on our Twitter. That's an amazing photograph. Look at us. He's photoshopping him onto either van Gogh or van. What a tournament was. It was a great term. Is it a championship or is it tournament? PGA Championship. Are you allowed to call it a tournament? Oh, I call everyone a tournament, I guess. Well, I know the U.S. open used to get all fucking butt hurt when you called it a tournament's championship. JT's got two of them now. There's two major..

Certainly got its pros and cons, but at 18 70. You were not, oh yeah, so what'd you think? That was definitely I was like, wow, that's pretty neat. What the boys are doing right now is pretty darn neat. It was insane. No, no, no. It was insane. It was, I like walked around. I was like, man, I was like, shell shocked. He was just our friend. No, I saw. It was not to be believed. It was the greeting was. Racing my boy. It was like, what? I genuinely wonder how I wondered the whole time how you would have meshed into that whole thing. With the loud voice and you're so personable. Would you have just like smack tigers, our dog at all? I wasn't gonna smack Tiger, but I mean, I would have been you would have been in there. So you're probably more harsh on yourself. Like you were amazed when we saw hoodie, I was like, what's up with me? You were like, what the fuck is lurch doing? Yeah. But I think you're very personable too. I think it would all worked. I would have you slow your roll for a second. Yeah, you gave him like, it had to go. You gave him one of these for a second. And then tease almost fall. I wish you did falling for me. It wasn't cash. It wasn't on camera. This is kind of a slide, but one knee falling one night, not like that. For what is captured, you fell. That's a fall. There's no way you could have saved it from what I don't know or fall from what's captured. To do what he did at the PGA Championship with Tiger Woods, that's a fucking fall. He lost complete footing and you can't be normal around Tiger. No. I just can't do it. It's tough to be. A lot of people were pointing out how far away you stood on the initial handshake. Oh yeah. He was holding you up. I'm scared of him. Oh, as we all are. I don't even remember what I said. I said, I think I went. Instead of saying hi. I just can't believe that those things happen to us. We're saying imagine you think you said hi, but in reality, you're just like, oh yeah. What the fuck? So I just said hello. It's like, no, you do. And then also hold on in the moment he is. Whenever we saw him in the president's club, we all gave him pound and then you gave him you gapped him up. And he did. And he interchanged like nothing. If that was one of us, it would have been, no, you just get the knuckles. But no. Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang. The best at everything. Surprising how quickly it becomes normal. Like you are just talking to another person. Right. But you don't think about it. Like Riggs is really good at that. Like Riggs will like when we're walking with Tiger, he'll start bringing up like the 2007 PJ championship and he gets Tiger talking and it becomes very normal very quickly. Like I think sometimes me and Frankie, we get so nervous in this situation that we make it weird when we think Tiger Woods is going to make it weird. But he's just a normal guy. Yeah..

"Her at K Claire Rogers. There's no D, ROG, ERS Claire, we feel almost like dumb and dumber. You know, it's like the totally redeemed yourself moment. It was not the most exciting major championship I was calling it balthus roll, two. It was feeling very Jimmy walker, ash, you know, even with the Rory kind of playing the Jason Day character like so close but not. And then Justin Thomas and will's ala tourist and meet at 18. Everything went chaos and we kind of got a fun what 90 minutes of a PJ championship. I was just going to say the last 90 minutes made up for the whole thing where I was like, this is going to be kind of meat I was going to run away with it. It's just going to be an average day on Sunday. I feel really good about this. We got lucky. We got lucky, of course, I think it's worth talking about Justin Thomas to start, we I think all of us in the golf media business have kind of been waiting for this moment. You know, we got JT winning a major. Relatively early in his career and you and I were even texting after it wrapped up and worked like how many wins does this guy have and it's 15 PGA Tour titles now two majors in an era of single major winners and you can go down the list of these players that have won one very important to tick off that second. Now you can kind of start to run. I feel like especially when you're one of these elite level golfers, but let's just go to Sunday at what point Claire did you feel like Justin Thomas had even a remote chance of getting himself into a playoff at this PGA? I don't know if I just wasn't paying attention to JT all week because then they were like, oh, he came back 7 strokes. I was like, there's no way. No, he didn't. I honestly was not even paying attention to him until maybe his 17th hole I want to say. And then I was like, oh my gosh, okay, 5 under. This is great. But I was at that point I was to like 700 is going to win it. Well, it'll still be me though, it'll be whoever. And then all of a sudden, like, golf the golf was on steroids and everything was changing very quickly. So I wasn't paying attention to him. I don't think all weekend. What about you? Yeah, so I have, you know, I have the three TV setup downstairs. I did a big, you know, I will add. I told Cindy to go take a nap, kind of in the middle of the day as golf was just getting going. And it was right around nap time. So she went and took like a two hour nap, and I took Charlotte, my newborn downstairs. And I had like hockey on one TV and I was like, you know what? I rarely get to do this at majors anymore where I'm at home.

"Just enter code drop zone for 25% off at checkout. Let's talk about the PGA. I think when you talk about this PGA, like we're going to have to talk about every major this year, for better or for worse, it starts with Tiger. Am I right? Yeah. I mean, Scottie Sheffield are the number one golfer in the world, the defending masters champion. The only guy they could win the Grand Slam this year was just asked if he feels like there's a lot of attention on him coming into this. And he said, no, tigers here, everyone's already forgotten about me. That's what happened a month ago. I was walking the course with his agent. And I said, is it easier for Scottie scheffler to win this week when all the attention has pulled the Tiger Woods? And he said, 100%. Yeah. It's easier for everyone to win when Tiger shows up. Well, easier for everyone except maybe the other two guys in his group because the PGA has just gone all in on the attention economy here. There's going to be one group effectively the first two days and that's Tiger. Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy, but Tiger spoke to the press today. Was there anything that stood out from what he said? Well, he talked about Phil Mickelson. He was asked, can you win? It's kind of a silly question to continue to ask Tiger Woods. Do you think you can win this week? He only answers it in one way. Yes. I think I can. My question is, do you think he can? Because I sure as hell don't think he can win. I would be surprised if he wins. I mean, it's not exactly going out on a huge limb. But I do think he's going to play well. I think this course sets up well for him for a couple of reasons. For one thing, he's hitting it plenty far, like the power is still there. I really like the way it sets up for someone that's going to be really precise with their iron, specifically controlling their spin, controlling their distance, which she's always been a wizard at. And then there's a lot of tricky Bermuda chips around the greens, which is like, that's what this dude does in his backyard all the time. It's weird chips up Bermuda. So I don't know, I like his chances, but he did also say he was disappointed by how his body kind of broke down on the weekend at Augusta. That's not just a thing that we made up. Everyone has forgotten about that. When Tiger shows up and steps foot on property, it's all a buzz. There was local TV doing really long hits about the fact that Tiger Woods is here on property. Everyone gets so excited and we look past the fact that he shot 78, 78 at a golf course. He probably knows better than anyone. Maybe in the world. Yeah. He willed his way to make the cut, and he really, really struggled on the weekend..

"Who's in the field or if this course is 8000 yards, he might just win by three and we all sit here, it feels like one of those moments where you sit there Monday and be like, why would I have been on the jets? Like the jets are so bad and it's like, why would I trick myself? I over thought it. And I've been pulling a real degen move with some of these chalky chalky favorites where I'll find some other bets for somebody else I like. Usually baseball or I ended up with an NBA series price with rom. John ram twin and well his price is like 6 to one or something hilarious. This is where the one at some places. I found a 5 to one. Yeah it was. And I parlayed three 50 plus three 50 at one point. She just got beat up. So I took it and I parlayed it with the Mavericks to win the series against the jazz at that point. And I'm like, well, now I have John ramen, like 12 to one. I don't feel so bad. And the math just and obviously the Mavs have advanced, but I did the same thing with JT last week because it's number sucked. And I piloted it with some baseball. Let me sit and sweat baseball totals all day and all right, now we got JT at 27 to one. So I'm probably gonna take a couple shots with Scottie and some baseball, like over the next couple of days. Wait for a good baseball total and do some parlays. This is not financial advice. This usually doesn't work. It worked out with John ramen that was super fun to actually cheer for the chalk donkey pick at the end of the day on Sunday, but I'll probably have a couple of Scotty parlays like that where I mix it or you can take him with a man. I've seen people doing it with iga shuai tech to win the French Open women's side. You can get there's some places where you can parlay anything you want. So go ahead and do that if you really like Scotty if you want a big number but he's probably probably not terrible to be betting him at 11 or 12 to one anyway. So him, people haven't talked much more kawa, that was he was our he was our golden child last year and it's kind of some poor results, probably don't take away from just how good he is with his second shots. And you're going to be tested wildly with your second shots here. So I think his number is probably it's still only 16 to one, but people aren't really talking about him if you want to be the person who bet somebody that other people aren't. So I was fun to win with one of those. That's always my move. I would be like going with someone who has no shot, they'll promise they have no shot and they never end up winning. I'm like, I just need one of those like 150 to ones to bet one time with $10 on it. I'm good for a while, right? Like that's all I need. Do you think so obviously last year Phil one came literally from the fucking clouds, like no one was expecting Phil to get it done. Do you think we're gonna see another surprise winner this year at the PGA or the guys at the top are just too good right now and we're just not gonna see someone come out of nowhere to win it.

"They're not going higher than that. And it's truly impressive how good they are. I remember I've told the story before, but I played with max homie played a true north, which is not usually golf course, it's not like you lose a lot of golf balls there. And he easily easily shot like a 62 63. Yeah. It's like damn. Yeah. You can't even compete. I don't feel like I'm a bad golfer, and I can't go out and shoot that just every single day. And so again, I think weeks like this, it is good to show them going really low. But I don't prefer it. I prefer when they shoot, what's like your sweet spot? Well, I like kind of anything from like 8 to 14 under par, right? Because that means that the course was, it was a good test to golf. So I don't know anything like north of anything over 20 under is just too much. In 1819, that's kind of like pushing it, but anything over like 20 under to win a tournament. It's like you got to set a little harder than that. Honestly, I don't know what to talk about this week. Does it feel like this is such a boring week? I know. I mean, so it's weird. So okay, so we've come off the wire and Allison. And then like JT, Jordan speed, Xander, they're all in the mix at the end on Sunday, which was kind of surprising because usually weeks on a shootout, it's guys like cage Leo when guys that allegedly thinking to put money on him. And he went two years in a row at Craig ranch. So we had that, but then we're going into this week, and no one's really talking about Scottie scheffler. People are talking about Tiger walking up and down hills, which is great. But we already saw that at Augusta. Like, why is that news to us? Augustine has so much elevation change. They are that like anything else he does this year shouldn't be that difficult. Like, that shouldn't be that crazy that a month later he's walking up hills in southern hills and then fills supposed to still be in the field, but then he says like three days ago, yeah, I'm not actually not in the field. So that leaves me thinking, one of two things happened, either one, someone said to Phil, yeah, no, not happening, just we'll say something nice about you, but don't play. We don't want you here. Or two Phil said to himself, you know what my game's not ready? I don't think this is it. And I can guarantee you that number two did not happen because Phil obviously needs money. We're hearing all these stories about his money. The money talk about Phil has been around the golf world for years. I'm sure you've heard it for years. I've heard it for years. This is nothing new. People are like, oh my God, I can't believe 40 million gambling does. I'm like, I heard it was a lot steeper than that. So there's just no reason for Phil to not be in the field because he'd be making money regardless of making the cut or not, right? This week. So to me, just says there's something nefarious or whatever going on where someone's selling him to stay away because there is no reason that Phil Mickelson would not be in this field. There's just no way. You know, it's interesting because I was thinking along the same lines as you, but the PGA of America put out of steam and saying we would love for him to participate. We welcome him in.

"Then you move to Austin, you win where you went to school. You win by beating DJ and the match play king Kevin kisner on Sunday. Was that in some way like a more affirming victory in the way you want it because it's another completely different tournament. Phoenix is sometimes a birdie fest. Arnold Palmer is a grind fest. This is match play. How different did that one feel? It was a lot different. I would say there's a lot more nerves surrounding that one on Sunday. It's such a long week and the way it ended the year before I was disappointed. Obviously, do you know you play, I guess, 7 rounds of golf and then come up, you know, a few shots short, it's very frustrating. And I hadn't wanted the time. And so that was a real punch in the gut for me at the time just because I really felt like I was going to win that golf tournament and what better opportunity there is to win one than only having to beat one guy, you know? You know, granted its ability who's obviously really good at match play, but still I wasn't able to get it done. And then we got you again that week. Yeah, that was, that was a fun match. It was funny. Like I said before, thinking I need to play perfect golf. I had a really bad front line against Billy, but I just hung in there. And I ended up hitting the shots down the stretch to where I could close out the match. And you know, it's one of those weird deals where he could adjust as easily beat me that day. You know, the chips have to fall in the right place for you. But Austin was pretty emotional. And going back to like the winning is a fleet. It had to be. Your dad came out there. Yeah. And hugs you. You know in your mind you're the number one player in the world. All of your family knows it. And he says, I'm more proud of who you are as a person than for your golf. And you're just getting a fleet of hugs in the moment, but gosh, I think people at home are getting choked up. Were you getting choked up in that moment? Yeah. I would say that like the winning feeling always imagined having a moment like that, but you have to stay so composed for so long to win the tournament. So by the time you actually win the golf tournament, you're kind of like still in the phase of like, I'm you're locked in. I'm locked in. And then when the tournament ends, it's kind of like, oh, I want to celebrate, but at the same time, I'm still locked in. Austin was really the first time where I kind of just got done. I was like, this is awesome. I'm gonna enjoy this. Other than the masters there's probably not another term and I want to win more on the PGA Tour than Austin. I went to college there. I just.

"Speed's worst score this week was 67. He almost won his hometown tournament. He hit at phenomenal shot into, well, he had a phenomenal shot into the 17th, a nice little 9 iron. And then really whiffed on a putt that just never even sniffed the hole. But then in 18, he was into the wind, reachable par 5, and he was probably a yard away from getting the proper kick so that it so that he had like a look inside ten feet for eagle. So solid work by Jordan Spieth, I think any week you shoot 25 under going into an event, I mean, this may be stupid and irrelevant. But it might be easier for him. This may be the perfect thing for him to do going into the PGA Championship. It may be kind of hard to win the week before the PGA and then win again. Yeah. Yeah, I think that's fair. You just have to add him to the list now, though, to your point..

"I mean, I might as well just fucking light it on fire. I've been on a train. And then when it's two. Now, now you've got Scottie scheffler where it's like, well, obviously. Yeah, there's too much, there's too much good information out there right now to not bet on Scottie. How often do you get a well obviously betting off? You don't. And that's why we don't I would argue that's why we didn't bet it before. Because it's like, there are no well, obviously, in golf. Are there odds either this right now? But he's just as close as you can get right now. The guy's literally shocking people with the way he's playing the game. No, he's probably not right. I'm looking right now. I think he is, but I'm okay. So while alert pulls that up, I'm gonna rattle off Scotty schaffer's most recent finishes on the PGA Tour playing professional golf in case people were not familiar. The Waste Management Phoenix open first place. Genesis invitational tied for 7th Arnold Palmer invitational, presented by Mastercard. First place, players championship, T 55, world golf championship match play, first place, masters tournament, first place. Zürich classic of New Orleans, which is a team event tied for 18th. So he is still at that part where I believe he's won four of his last 6 starts in individual competitions. And now he's going into southern hills where the assistant pro, double H guy is saying, I just don't see how he doesn't win. Is in contention. I mean, we got to take this fucking guy. We got to take this guy. All right, I agree. But if I were to ask you, which I am going to now, we're going to bet him, but do you think he's going to win? Of course I don't think he's going to win. It's a numbers game. I mean, I see I'm with you. Totally with it. The other guys, you can't win every week. I mean, you got to take the field. John rom is currently the favorite at plus 1100. But also not in, 'cause you just won. JT scheffler and Rory are all plus 1200. So pretty much kind of a tie for the top. So he's in the mix, but it is crazy that he's just not the number one guy. It's really, it's befuddling. So I've got him on here. Oh, that's the AT&T Byron Nelson. He's a favorite of the AT&T Byron Nelson. Tell you that much. That's exciting. Go. Yeah, I mean, look, this man is clearly playing great golf. It's nice to hear that he's still playing great golf. It's always cool when you get these assistant pros and all that. I wonder if use golf facts is going to have an issue with these comments coming out, feels like somebody could have pride information out of these assistant pro at southern hills to get some information going into the tournament, which obviously he or she that runs that account doesn't like..

"The best players <Speech_Male> in the world that <Speech_Male> the top 50 <Speech_Male> performers, <Speech_Male> you get <Speech_Male> to play for these <Speech_Male> boo ko bucks <Speech_Male> on some international <Speech_Male> series and we'll <Speech_Male> try to continue <Speech_Male> to <Speech_Male> advance the PGA <Speech_Male> Tour's footprint <Speech_Male> in <Speech_Male> Asia. <Speech_Male> In <Speech_Male> Africa, in Europe <Speech_Male> or something like that. That's <Speech_Male> what's kind of being <Speech_Male> discussed right now. And <Speech_Male> you know what? <Speech_Male> The fact that it's being <Speech_Male> discussed <Speech_Male> seriously <Speech_Male> for the first time <Speech_Male> in March <Speech_Male> and the first <Speech_Male> time, the second time <Speech_Male> in April, <Speech_Male> I guess maybe the <Speech_Male> first time was in February. <Speech_Male> Players are <Speech_Male> not responding well <Speech_Male> to it. <Speech_Male> That's a huge issue <Speech_Male> for the PGA Tour. <Speech_Male> They're <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> trying to go to market <Silence> with their <Speech_Male> members <Speech_Male> with this new <Silence> exciting idea. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> It's an idea that is <Speech_Male> somewhat taken from <Speech_Male> these rival gulf tours. <Speech_Male> And it's <Speech_Male> coming at least a <Speech_Male> year too late, <Speech_Male> maybe two years <Speech_Male> too late to <Speech_Male> really compete <SpeakerChange> with <Silence> these tours. Clearly, <Speech_Male> I mean, <Speech_Male> yeah. I <Speech_Male> think they've unquestionably <Speech_Male> dragged their feet. <Speech_Male> They have definitely <Speech_Male> relied on <Speech_Male> their existing product. <Speech_Male> They <Speech_Male> really continue to, <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> whether what they're responding <Speech_Male> to <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> is, <Speech_Male> it definitely <Speech_Male> doesn't feel <Silence> like a direct, <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> you know, a bit of competition <Speech_Male> to the <Speech_Male> rival tours. That's <Speech_Male> the only thing. So <Speech_Male> stay tuned, <Speech_Male> Sean. <Speech_Male> I'm worried that <Speech_Male> our listeners <Speech_Male> have as much fatigue <Speech_Male> about this as <Speech_Male> maybe the PGA Tour <Speech_Male> players themselves. But <Speech_Male> I think one of the big lessons <Speech_Male> is that it's hard to get <Speech_Male> a lot of PGA <Speech_Male> Tour pros <Speech_Male> to agree on much of <Speech_Male> anything. So that's <Speech_Male> probably the biggest <Silence> battle <SpeakerChange> that they <Speech_Male> face. <Speech_Male> My last <Speech_Male> story that we got <Speech_Male> to discuss this week <Silence> is also a money <Speech_Male> story. <Silence> According <Speech_Male> to <Speech_Male> our friend <Speech_Male> Alan ship next <Speech_Male> book, which <Speech_Male> comes out very soon. <Speech_Male> About <Silence> Phil Mickelson, <Speech_Male> big <Speech_Male> homie lefty, <Speech_Male> accrued <Speech_Male> $40 million <Speech_Male> in gambling <Speech_Male> debts over a <Silence> 5 year <Speech_Male> span. <Speech_Male> At the beginning of <Silence> the 2010 <Speech_Male> decade. <Speech_Male> I have <Speech_Male> nothing more to say <Speech_Male> about that other than <Speech_Male> it's incredible <Speech_Male> in <Speech_Male> how the hell <Silence> do you go <Speech_Male> past <Speech_Male> $20 million <Speech_Male> in gambling debt <Speech_Male> and you <Speech_Male> accrue the 21st <Speech_Male> $1 million <Speech_Male> of debt <Speech_Male> and the 22nd <Speech_Male> $1 million <Speech_Male> of debt? <Speech_Male> How do you move past <Silence> that? I think the answer <Silence> is <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> you make <SpeakerChange> 40 million <Speech_Male> a year. And it's <Speech_Male> just double down, <Speech_Male> Sean. You <Speech_Male> just double down. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> It definitely makes you <Silence> wonder like, <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> you would love to <Silence> see the betting slips, <Speech_Male> you know? <Speech_Male> I don't know <Silence> exactly in what capacity <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> these losses <Speech_Male> came if they were <Speech_Male> on the course <Speech_Male> with high rollers. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> If they were at the <Speech_Male> blackjack <SpeakerChange> table, <Speech_Male> if they were on <Speech_Male> sports, <Speech_Male> but you know, <Speech_Male> if you're just throwing <Speech_Male> out 5 <Speech_Male> leg parlays on <Silence> NFL Sundays for <Speech_Male> a few years, <Speech_Male> and they're just not hitting, <Speech_Male> and you just <Speech_Male> ban the <Speech_Male> next one. <Speech_Male> I don't know. <Speech_Male> Just you'd <Speech_Male> think you'd <SpeakerChange> think <Silence> you win one at some <Speech_Male> point, right? <Speech_Male> Well, I'm sure you <Speech_Male> did. That's <Speech_Male> how gambling addiction <Speech_Male> works. You <Speech_Male> win one out of <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> one out of 20 of <Speech_Male> those, essentially. <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Male> And you're convinced <Speech_Male> that you're, <Silence> <SpeakerChange> you know <Speech_Male> what? <Speech_Male> Sports <Speech_Male> gambling <Speech_Male> aligns with <Silence> other things. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> That I <Speech_Male> have heard about Phil <Silence> Mickelson. <Speech_Male> <Silence>

"I don't think you want to be as oppositional and again, so based off ultimatums. And using the word bullshit, you know, that you have to approach players, and it may be a little more even keeled way. And this did not strike me as even keeled. I think invoking Rory McIlroy's name and words don't necessarily help you for trying to appeal to the PGA Tour's government. Now, it's a thing that I didn't understand for a long time. A lot of people don't understand, there are 16 members of a PGA Tour advisory council. It's a cross section of the FedExCup standings from a year ago. You have people like John rom on it in Brooks Koepka and you have people like Peter malnati on the bottom end of it. You have four players that are on the PGA Tour's board that have zero PGA Tour execs on it, but they have a handful of CEOs from across the business world and you have four tour players right now and you're going to have a 5th next year when Patrick can't lay joins, but that's the people that make this decision and so kind of throwing Rory under the bus, I think unintentionally and just kind of this is going to go through the back door of getting a lot of PGA Tour players to call out this board to call out Kevin kisner. You're not doing a good enough job..

"Good morning ladies and gentlemen. He is dealing. I'm sean. this is the drop zone and we don't have a lot of professional gulf to talk about. Pj to or had an off week. The european tour had on week. Even though a pga tour player won the tournament billy horseshoe wins the bmw pga. We got two ryder cup. Teams filled out euros. They they added three wildcard. Picks two captain's picks whatever. You wanna call them. Padraig harrington selected the old guard in addition to shane lower he selected sergio garcia and ian poulter. Justin rose on the outside looking in dylan before we jump into what we're really talking about today. Tell me is padraig right wrong. Middle ground what. What did he do with these picks. First of all sean. I hope you enjoyed your pga tour off week because that was actually the off season. That was the whole deal. that's it. i hope you feel rested up. Yeah as far as as far as padraig harrington there will come a day when this recipe doesn't work where taking some combination of you know. British forty three year olds is no longer optimal strategy. But we're not at that point yet today. Today's not this day so yeah he did the right thing he did the right thing. Justin rose been planned a little bit better. They probably could have you know happily had him on the team You know. I don't know if if burned vs burger could feel tangibly that most of team europe was rooting against him. But you know hopefully not is that true or is that some kind of weird thing because when you follow gulf twitter it sounds like everyone was against burns burger being on the team. Why why why would that be. The guy is clearly good enough to be in the discussion. Does justin rose to be on this team that badly. I think it's because they wanna they just like getting the band back together. They really they really just like that main squad and they want their sort of starting with the team and then hoping that the team fits into this. The point system you know. Yeah but you know what's going to work out. The fact that burns burger will not play the first the first Set of matches guarantee it right now. He will not be out there. He just won't be and that's okay. Like remember their twelve people on these teams and eight of them. Play at any given moment. And there's a lot of jockeying for okay. You need to get ready for the afternoon. Like people forget that. Chris would who automatically qualified for the the hazeltine european ryder cup team. Two thousand sixteen. He played two matches the entire ryder cup. He did not play on friday all. He played saturday morning and he played the sunday singles and the europeans like main horses are really really good and i think this is actually kind of a good thing for them. They don't have to rely on getting all twelve guys out there for two matches before the sunday singles. I've argued this with you..

He just can't but the weeks where he can he goes. He's in the top five. So i think henley at seventy five to one and then english. What more can you say about him. Who's also in the ryder cup discussion right now. Air singlish needs to have another really solid week to solidify himself in his first ever ryder cup. Okay there's another boost rookie cookie.
