"You bought Green Bananas But Green Bananas because I'm going to be away. Yeah see that's smart very I'm worried though because it gets a little gets a little moist oyston warming here and we'll get very warm here yeah so I'm going to be away so they might just be ruined anyway but it's probably nobody wastes more bananas than you. I you have a lot of banana casualties. I've been known to waste of Banana. Oh yeah are are you like as soon as it turns Brown. I can't touch manner. What kind of brown like the whole thing's Brown not whole thing but it's it's pretty fucking Brown? It's got like a very severe bruce. Yeah I mean I'll probably just pass. You'll pass won't even touch it. I'll touch it is that it can then. Is that a myth. What gets sick from that? It's just ugly ugly food. It's ugly food. That's American shit but I don't care. That's like first world problems but who who wants to eat ugly food no one now. Do you think it's a waste of time to make presentable food like how much presentation means you when we go out to eat at a restaurant. It's a lot it's a lot right. You can't just some like shit that looks like Goulash or whatever the fuck you know what I'm saying. I don't even know what the national thing my mom's Goulashes a real like there's like random into meat unlike there's asparagus and like corn a gravy over the whole thing and just looks like a soup they gotta eat with a fork. Ill like separate to ship mix it up ohka yeah so presentation matters than where it doesn't matter is when people start sprinkling little bullshit and they make like random dots of like balsamic vinaigrette on the plane this Shit Outta here or it's like one arch of like yeah Vinaigrette fucking what was the other thing called fucking puree puree yeah. She's like a puree mango puree and it's like one scallop. I hate when they tried to make my salad pretty with addressing yeah. I'm like dude. Go get a Red Solo Cup and fill it up with Balsamic Vinaigrette and dumping this yes. Yes you know what I'm saying you care. Do you like it when waiters bring you the food and they tell you what you're eating. I if I already ordered it yeah I think that would be a little redundant but they do that. Sometimes be like right there. This is the the lobster Tortellini and in this and <hes> I don't mind that I thought like he's going over the whole thing baked in this. I feel the Mediterranean Sea. I'm like okay where we went to eat that <hes> for keys birthday. It was kind of like that yeah but that was that was before forehand. Also they brought out fucking juicer juice press like right there. What what was it again? I don't know that contraption reminded me of the titanic or like in a scary movie where they're going to like. Crush your head or something yeah yeah it was it was like a mixture of what was it was a bunch of <hes> <hes> fasten pheasant wasn't like pheasant is much of game birds. It was like a doc doc was in there doug was in there and there was a bunch of other like random birds that I don't really know I wasn't really paying attention. Oh she's like sounds cool and what they do is they have the meat and they bring the meat out and they put it like in this Eucharist lookin looking thing and then there's a top that goes on it and then there's like a wheel like do you WanNa why would you remember titanic where that guys like yelling and then he goes over to the wheel and it has like a thing sticking up and he just starts cranking it like this all the guy that down in the in the fire the area are something coal area but I think it's like turning the ship I do. It was weird but these you started doing yes. Yes I do remember nothing was going down and then it crushes the meat and all the juices go into this thing and they put that with pasta and then you eat that it was amazing very unnecessary Sir Yeah it was it was a big old..

"What are your goals for this life? This life. Before the day of judgement. You. I'm not really like a. D planner you don't kind of more like in the moment kinda guy. That was the trailer for season, one of Rami available on Hulu. It is a ten episode for season with each running, but twenty five to thirty two minutes, roughly about a half hour per episode of the show is created by Rome Yousef who is the star who is a Muslim American man who lives in New Jersey with his family with his sister and his parents, and it explores sort of his life is trying to kind of get his act together. It's been compared by people to master of none of their certainly some tonal similarities there. Sure we'll talk about that. But I think for television listeners, they will also create it is a co EP by Jerrod Carmichael who, of course, was the, you know, the creative Oyston star of the Carmichael show, which I know I miss certainly would like to still be watching that. Now what did you think of Romney had? You heard of it before we decided to talk about it. And and what did you? Think I just sort of a little bit like top. I saw some folks like number reviews when it premiered on the nineteenth of April while we were behind on this one. I thought it was only like at the end of April. So end die generally reluctant. I'm curious about the Mets for none comparisons on whereas I was mostly like this feels really heavily to insecure Atlanta, but in perfectly, suitable ways and ways that they that the show over all really earns I think, and then still provides a really. Pretty funny, sort of show, but also generally feels much more on the drama side for me. And veers really heavily into a very serious sort of meditation on couple of things that I've really really create an overall. Again. I think the show's really good. And it's doing some interesting things from being show about American Muslims to being a show that is very deeply concerned about religion in a way that is respectful and sticky and messy and all the ways that you would expect it to be it within the show's Len's. So I think it's really good. And I'm very lead that we watched it. How did you feel about it? Yeah. I think it's really good. I think there's a lot of interesting things that stealing the cast is really terrific. And I think that compares to Atlanta's occur. I think works while like having the Onslow bull in the coaching amyx of insecure with the friends and everything. But in also having the. Really focused spotlight episodes way. Atlanta's sometimes does. I think those are two excellent comparisons for me if the comparisons, I've seen to master of none, I think hold only for, like the first handful of episodes, and Agean. So if you like, watch just a few episodes of this, I could see that connection much more. Especially when you got Rummy trying to side, if he's going to date a Muslim woman, or if he's going to keep dating white girls in Jewish girls, and keep that separation between his family and his in his dating world versus. What, what he's looking for what kind of relationship he's looking for long term, and whether he actually wants a serious relationship. I also think that there's a connection between the two shows. In that they are both about men that actually not all that interested in and who need to grow up and deal with their shit and. I that's the one issue. I have with Rami is that I just have such limited patients for him. And most of the other characters that we see him interacting with have so much more shit. They gotta deal with that, like, like kinda wanted to shut up. Stop complaining at times, which I think is very real. And I think is very genuine..

"And then also just the questions, you know, the food frequency questionnaires, which you know, I know this is a problem with any kind of nutrition research that relies on these type of questionnaires, but they would ask things like, you know, in an average week how much of like this huge list of foods. Do you eat? And I remember looking specifically at peaches. And I'm like, I only eat peaches when they're in season, which is for a relatively short span of the year. So I literally was like, okay. When peaches sees it about how many pieces a week, do I eat? Okay. So that's about X number of peaches a year. Okay. Divided by fifty two weeks. It was like I was like this is nuts. So I think I continued. I, you know, I think I filled out that one. And then the next year I was starting to regain more seriously. And even though I think I'd still maintained enough to be in it. I could not admit to them that I was gaining. So I just didn't send it in. And even the previous one, I remember. Lied about what my current weight was not by time. But so it just unlike if I did that how many other people are lying because of the shame and it was shame. Yes. And if you're if you're signed up to this thing because you're feeling so proud of yourself and wanting you know, I remember talked to Glenis Oyston several years ago about her experience on the national weight control registry. And she was like for all my troubles and starvation and hunger. I got this prize of like being on the registry. And that was you know, it sort of feels like validating. So if you have this sense of validation that's kind of getting ripped away or threatened to be ripped away by your weight gain. Like, of course, you're going to want to hang onto that. Of course, you're going to be like, no, I still I still have it like this is still worth it. Yeah. And at that point, I still hadn't I was still immersed in diet culture. And I just kinda felt like we'll eventually all release the weight gain. But right now, I just can't and I felt like a failure. And I just yeah. I just I just stopped participating. And of course, they don't ask you why they don't follow up on any of that. They don't know why people drop out when they drop out. And so yeah, you're probably still counted somewhere in there as a member of the registry. Yeah, I'm not clear on that. I don't know if after a certain point like ten years or something they just kind of locked people off. I I have not actually crystal clear on that. But yeah, the pride. I mean, I remember some of my nutrition classes, you know, my nutrition and metabolism class where we are talking about obesity in. A course, you know, it was very, you know, wait Centric curriculum. You know that? Yes. Obesity, quote, a quote, unquote, obesity as a problem, and you know, that a lot of people regain weight, and I was like I've kept off weight. I was seriously in class. I was like I was so proud like, I'm one of the outliers only I'm not as it turns out. At the time. I thought I was well it's interesting to the way that the criteria. Are it can change whether someone appears to be an outlier or not 'cause they been national weight control registry. Only requires people who've lost weight and kept it off for a year or more which is ridiculous because there's evidence showing that the weight trajectory for anyone with intentional weight Loss's usually wait reaches its lowest point, you know, on average weight riches slowest point around the six month, Mark. And then people start regaining it about a year and the rate of weight regained speeds up over time. So like cutting it off at a year is actually really smart if they wanna show, quote, unquote, success for more people and have it be a higher, quote unquote success rate, and actually I was looking into recently the statistics on diet failure. Because you know, there's this ninety five percent or more statistic that gets thrown around a lot. That's from a nineteen Fifty-nine study. That's actually a really well. Designed study I read. This like I bought the study and read it, and it was very well done at got some awards at the time for being a really great piece of research..

"To a hoax. Do you think you are some people just seem to be like right on the verge? Like, they just one thing could happen at all of a sudden they've freak out. It's like the people who in Hawaii got this message about incoming missiles and freaked out and they didn't see him for like twenty four hours because they were away trying to try to save their lives. And this kind of stuff happens all too often. Especially with the advent of all these smart, home technology at different ways, people can hack into the system. So you have to make sure you're being skeptical. You're aware, right. You're where you're you're focused on things you're making sure that you're safe. But you're also being skeptical about what you're hearing. This is a national emergency important instructions will follow. This message is transmitted at the request of the United States office of civil defense. The North American aerospace defense command detected three ICBM's launched from North Korea. The first missile is expected to reach the Los Angeles, California area within two hours. The second missile is expected to reach a cargo island Oyston three hours. The third missile is expected to reach New York City New York in three and a half hours anyone within a four hundred mile radius of the cities is at the risk for significant followed anyone which is most of the United States in this area needs to seek the shelter battery powered radio yard this. Would you be freaking out? You would you go into panic mode? Am I going to panic mode? I would probably immediately Google, but I don't know if that would help man, would you grab your what is it called your go bags Sabrina? A my my doomsday would have to draw. Right now. So I have to definitely get the bag and then put it in there probably run to my friend's house. Oh, I know is prepared or is ready to go. And then I'll need to get the cats and some food and litter. Yeah, I'm good to go five minutes out the house after you hear that message rights, while the reason I say this is because people do here that kind of stuff and freak out. And there were don't say there were some hackers that infiltrated this families surveillance system, and they have nest cameras now a lot of people have these are pretty popular right now, there are security cameras that you can get on the exterior of your home and on the interior of your home to protect your stuff. Make sure your home is save and well just spy on people. If you want to do it that way, they also have two way communication on these cameras. Meaning that you could talk to somebody who is in the house next to the camera. And then they could hear you somebody. Hacked into Laura Lyons and her system of nest cameras and played that exact message. What does that from? That message is just from somebody screwing around who created this to try to scare people and they played it through their house. And so they just immediately went into panic mode. They're like, oh, my God intercontinental ballistic missiles are headed our way, and they freak out. They call nine one one. They call the Ness company. They call everybody that they can go after and they are freaking out about this that more and more people aren't aware of the big lesson here is when you hear these types of things the first thing, you should do is verify no way. And how are you going to hear something like that? And not have other outlets that are saying, hey, there's an imminent danger for you right now. I mean, I would hope so, but definitely don't go to like CNN or FOX it gives them they take like twenty. To twenty hours to actually get the story going. You just want to see that. There's somebody else verifying that they've heard this to the they're freaking out about this. At least something before you go into full panic, but when it comes to mass hysteria man like thank God, I was just in this person's house because had that been broadcast. There's no way. And once one group of people starts freaking out. Then is just it's like a virus? Yeah. You wonder though, what you would actually do if you heard that in your house, would you panic would you freak out? If you're were there people who heard it just now who just tuned in right there at that odd second is away. What's happening turn off the radio hall bass home got to go back and got out of there. Were there people who did that? So weird thing that we have to face. Now, you know why? Because there's people out there creating stuff like this. And this couple went into full panic mode and wants nest to make some changes a Google spokesperson. The search engine that owns nest said. S was not breached in this incident. These recent reports on based on customers using compromise passwords, so they said their passwords were not safe. And nearly all cases two factor verification. Eliminates this type of security risk. We take security the home extremely seriously. And we're introducing features. That will reject compromise passwords now. But we would this be a feature if you knew somebody's password that you could activate. Yeah. You could use the nest app to log into their system and communicate through these devices. In fact, I just changed my nest passwords and put it on more secure network yesterday and get a ladder and go up right by these tiny little codes off of them and necessary. It's not their problem at all. But you wonder what the reaction would be on a wider scale. Let's talk to Peter. Go ahead. Peter man, you guys just about maybe have to change my underwear. I came off of a phone call and turn the volume back up on the radio. And I'm hearing rockets are coming to the United. And so what do you immediately think? Hey, this is a real and true of the slightest bit skeptical of it. I was waiting for you guys to talk over it wasn't happening because you're letting the whole thing play through. So I quickly hit another station. Yes, oddly, I still have other stations on my radio. How dare yes for moments like this Peter exactly and what I'm hearing country music or some other crap playing on it. So I come back now. And then you're bringing me back up to speed. But my man my blood pressure went up, our tracing, and it's like holy cow. I'm glad I don't live there. People to experience what it would be like if that happened in your house, and to know that there are going to be things like this to happen in the future. Especially with connected homes. People get access to your speakers. The first thing they wanna do is scare you the first thing. They wanna do is free. And let's go to Rachel. Go ahead. Rachel, hey, I just wanted to let you know. I did actually just turn the radio on when you started that that staying and it did scare me. Like, oh my God. What's happening? Did you do that shy? Trying to teach everybody a lesson here. What's the lesson is going to be hacked? Lesson is skepticism is something that's important. When you hear things like this verify, make sure something really is happening before you go into freak out mode. And in this case, Rachel, you're safe. There are no intercontinental ballistic missile. Lately game magnet. So I look for magnets all the time. Appreciate you. I when when I see stories like this. I also think is this a larger commentary on what's happening in our country that we are scared hearing something like that like that. We do think it would be a possibility. We'll of course, we think it's a possibility. We got a message like that that like we are in this this stage in the world climate that we think that message is coming at some point. I need to get a motorcycle to get out of here on the motorcycle. Yes. Because I realize I mean, I just God, Sean, I don't even know what you did just now people in full blown panic if this if it ever the case where it is happening or someone has hacked, and now a massive people think that's going to happen. I'm not getting suck on effing. I four trying to get back home. I need a motorcycle. You know, what you need for situations? Like, this is there such a thing. As like a solar powered electric motorcycle. You could keep on going the grid goes down till it's nighttime. Yeah. Okay. But then you just wait till morning charged that sucker backup berm you're off. Again. I mean, I think with the gas powered there's gonna be a lot of cars that are stuck on the highway and they're gonna they're gonna ditch them. So have you ever watched walking? That's what they did. For awhile. I think the gas would have gone bad after some point in time like expire. I think eventually it goes south. I dunno. Let's talk to but go ahead, bud. Hey, what's going on guys? Hey, go ahead. So I work in the customer service field, we go into a lot of people's homes, and I actually had a customer play that exact same message to me. And they just thought they're all straight waste, and you know, I didn't really freak out. You know, in the back of my mind, I'm like really call my wife and kids and tell them, you know, they need to get things situated, but I'm still not stressed out. And then after a while he was just kidding with you. Is that? He put it on the television, bud. No, no. He was playing it on the radio. Imagine that what a monster to do that. Thank you. The call who would do that? I just to me it's unacceptable behavior. I think if I heard it based on what's happened in the past with Hawaii in that whole thing where everybody got the text message or the the notification, and it was the wrong one. I would go, you know, what let's find out if this is this is a thing. That's what you have to do. You have to be vigilant, but you have to verify make sure there's really a reason to be upset that family did not and went into total freak out mode for about five minutes. And if it is real, and I die trying to find out if it's real or not they dropped the ball on it. Anyway, just way too too late little secret for those you listening to the show in the future. If you hear that, and it has the ES tones along with it one. I'm either in big trouble or two it's the real deal and you've got an actual alert. And we'll be sixteen seconds ahead of it. So he can get on the road just bolt. Right outta here before I four Phil. What's up and all the I ninety five, and you know, the turnpike Philip with people freaking out. On actuality if that happened during the show, we wouldn't even hear it until people started texting right because no what just happened. We would be talking about stupid stuff next story. Oh god. There is a story that I just can't possibly believe. They say alcohol marketers are facing sobering times as a trend in moderate drinking is.

"I think at the same time they got a tough task on Thursday night against the New Orleans Saints down in New Orleans. So I do a smack him in the mouth. Yeah. That's easier. If you look at them differently. Then all of a sudden, it's like, they're not only are they a three game winning streak against three bad teams like Rogers saying, but now they beat the saints now their role and now they've got a comfortable lead in that division. You start to think about him a little differently if they win tomorrow night. I think about them a little different but the same time scratch my head against the New Orleans Saints. What are you doing Sean that's wisdom point too? But I don't think that they'll lose Dallas trying to give up the Dallas will try to give a fight us in Dallas, not New Orleans. Yes. Felt it was in new because I asked my brother if he was going and he said, yes. Automatically assume New Orleans. Hey, my brother, I should take off. And I can't no Email. Do you know where Dallas Cowboys or the perfect position to get into the playoffs? Win the division. But the problem is New Orleans is coming to town. And they're they're in a position to be a part of something in terms of the NFC championship game and being the favourite to go to the Super Bowl. So they're not going to go in there. Messing around in Cobb Oyston that new stadium by the way five hundred record. They're not a good home team since stadium open. So they should move back to the old stadium. Number seven last week. You showed us your lightning vote. The chargers were number seven who's number seven this week? The charges are not number seven bringing in a black quarterback from the Houston. Texans. What's it in? I put his in a row, right, man. They roll eight neuro rolling. Yeah. I think they figured it out. They dropped. Yes. But just cheat. If they ro shield at eighth win in a row always makes you draw. She'll. When you row too hard. Okay. My bad back. Go to a rave go here. Go ahead. She'll she'll she'll she'll again, I think they roll. I think they're good team. I think they figured it out the quarterback O'Brien's got him plant. Well, the defense has oh, well, you say why they dropped because I think there's a couple of teams that have better than them. And if they played them again, they will certainly beat you. That's what I think. Okay. That's number six last week Roman word axons. And of course, they dropped for some reason. Who's number six this week the New England Patriots number six can never get rid of him. They're going to always jets shouldn't make you move up. They're gonna always hover around, but it's not that. It's who they getting back. It's it's Michaud in virtually it's it's it's gronkowski kid. This is the time of year that they start to just slowly but thought move in a direction where you look at the end of the year, and they've gotten themselves eleven twelve wins and number two seed, and it's all of that is going to be true. They're going to win twelve they're going to be the number two seed. I just don't think that this patriots team is even in the same universe is some of the ones they've had. No, they're not. But neither is everybody else in the conference yet that I I mean, mean, that's just him. It's pretty suspect this that's all right. Let's go move a move. That has the Steelers were number five. And of course, they dropped to number nine. So who's number five this week because we Kogyo bears. I'ma put the bears there. They dropped put the bears. They won, of course. Okay. I'm starting to get the formula. Travis. Thank you. They're starting to get it. They're still our stuff. You know? Yes. This you see the tricks that I play. You put the bears there at number five. I think you know, they obviously lose the quarterback situation. So you don't really know what you know, what that's going to be long term. But they still have a defense..
