Look, this is different than Mario to who we talked about. Yesterday, bt the Raiders locked him up on a two year deal as a just in case like we don't know we're gonna find out what we what we find out it's worth the extra year. If he if we actually need him and don't want people coming in to try to poach him, and that's exactly what's going to happen with Jamie's Winston. I don't know if Taysom Hill was as advanced in their system as he became this past year. On was used as extensively as he was. And so the circumstances last, you were different. They had to play Teddy Bridgewater on Daddy had been there for a couple years. Let's not let's not act like he just jumped on like like James did. But at the end of the day you learn from what happened to you most recently and they know that if Jamie's goes out and balls, there's no way that he's signing a below market deal to stay in New Orleans. Pretty shouldn't By the way I grew up here, Let me put it this way. He took a page from Myriad coaches who go for their rehabilitation when they get fired. Where did they go? They go to Nick Saban, and they re established value and they're viewed as now commodities again, and we've seen it countless times, right? Now The track record is not nearly as lengthy with Shawn because it's different kind of business you can you can you can employ 15 coaches. If you want to make it, you could create rolls. If you have to. You have advisory roles with just to get him in the building to kind of get their value back up. You can't do that with the depth chart, but he did it with Teddy. Teddy got they didn't break it off and Carolina but they gave him D's and money and now we're going to see it with James Winston again. So I think that that's a good comparison. "Appreciate you making me part of your Saturday evening. We'll get back to the playoffs in Bit. But let's talk about the breaking news in the NFL very rare to have some Saturday night breaking news in an arrangement. Both the Lions and Matthew Stafford are expected to part ways this off season with the lines listening to trade offers. Ford's former number one overall pick starting this week, League sources tell ESPN There are a lot of good teams in the NFL. Who could use an upgrade at the quarterback position, and I think Matthew Stafford would fit that bill for a lot of teams. The Indianapolis Colts don't have a quarterback right now with the retirement of Philip Rivers. The New Orleans Saints. They're about to not have a quarterback with the retirement of Drew Brees. We can go up and down the list. I think there's about eight teams that Matthew Stafford to make a lot of sense for San Francisco. This is the first time that they can get out of the Jimmy Garoppolo contract. Basically, with no penalty. There are a few teams that make a lot of sense for Stafford and his contract. Stafford's contract is very manageable. If you want to trade for it now, you gotta have the salary cap in the flexibility and a team like New Orleans doesn't really have it. So I don't know how realistic it is that they're going to be the ones to make a move. But you know when it comes to the salary cat, where there's a will, there's a way and if you want to make it work, you can make it work. If I had to officially predict the team. And throw a team into the mix. I think it's the New England Patriots. I think the New England Patriots make the most sense for a couple of reasons. The age of the coach. Don't think that Bill Belichick is really gonna be in a position where he's going to want to draft and develop, said quarterback I think they're going to want to. Plug in somebody like Stafford make some moves on the outside when it comes to skill position players, and then when they're getting eight players off Kobe back on that defense, the Patriots are gonna be a force to be reckoned with next year and a team that legitimately has a chance. So make the playoffs in a team to make noise once they get to the playoffs. We know the Patriots have the draft pick compensation. They have six draft picks in the first three rounds. They also have the fourth most available cap space, and they have a clear needed quarterback with no Cam Newton. And Jared Stadium and Brian Hoyer at the quarterback position right now, if I have to officially throw a team in the mix I'm going to throw the New England Patriots in the mix. I also think it's fair to point out that Matt Patricia now went back to go work for the New England Patriots. So he's gonna have all the necessary information to relate a Bill Belichick. I think the Patriots make a lot of sense. I think the Colts also probably make the most sense as well. No rivers. They've been looking for that quarterback. Once they lost Andrew luck to retirement. They've got Mork cap space than the New England Patriots. Do. I also think the Indianapolis Colts make a lot of sense. If you want me to throw out the dark horse, I'll go back to the San Francisco 40 Niners. I think San Francisco is one of those dark horse kind of teams. To me. Pittsburgh would make a lot of sense. I don't think Pittsburgh is ready to say bye to Ben Raffles Burger yet. I don't think they're a that point. Where they're going to say bye to been robbed his burger. So if you're asking me right now, Where do you think Matthew Stafford will land? I will throw out the New England Patriots. Um I mean, who better to learn from? But you put him on someone like the Colts. The scout. Such an offensive minded coach already think you'd be a great fit, and I have a young quarterback sitting there learning with that coach and Stafford as well and in case something happens, he got somebody else to just jump right in and go. They've got a second round draft pick. "I like that one under is Well, What do you think about the over in Kansas City in the under, and Green Bay. Well, interesting note the last five outdoor playoff games. We've seen that all kicked off below freezing. All of them actually went over the total. Now it's not meant to discourage you from trying to make a case for the under. Because I do think this Rams defense will match up really well with Davante Adams and company. My biggest fear here is this game could start quickly. When we look at Green Bay. They've been outstanding in the first half. Under Matt LeFlore. His game scripts have been airtight. So this is the perfect illustration of where live betting may come in handy if Green Bay were to build a 14 3 lead early on in this game. We've seen the Packers get a little bit more conservative and kind of take their foot off the gas. So this number where to get up to 48 live at 20 point. That might kind of be my by point. But I won't argue whatsoever with the Kansas City angle, and I actually went over the total in the first half a 27.5 in 28. I think Cleveland can take advantage of Kansas City's first team defense That hasn't seen live action in three weeks. And I really believe that Andy Reid in company know that even with Denzel Ward and Kevin Johnson back in the mix Way to attack. Do you like aside either way in the Bucks Saints Well, whatever the Bucks did in that Sunday night football game against the Saints, they should like that game plan on fire on def. You guys. They're fans of Seinfeld. They need to go to the bizarro world and find a different coffee shop and change everything they did in the first two meetings against the Saints team because Tom Brady is arguably played his two worst games of the season against this New Orleans Saints defense. Now I know a lot of the narrative going in is well. Tom Brady was embarrassed. He's gonna play significantly better. We can't ignore that. This could be Drew Brees last chance to win that second. Party trophy and New Orleans has had a ton of success against Tampa. Now I know they look different Tom Brady and Jamis Winston but can't ignore the Saints are both five and go straight up and against the spread the last five against the buck. All of those winds have come by seven plus points. And maybe Tom Brady prefers the early bird special. An interesting wrinkle here. Trusting the top bulls can do enough defensively to try and mask some of the deficiencies in the secondary. So 49 a half would've made a case for over. 52 made the games 51.7. So it doesn't give me a whole lot of wiggle room 52 a half 50 directed see making a slight case to go under, but nothing I'm in love with by any stretch. Tennessee one again, 30 to 24 in overtime. So it looks like Baltimore. They've got a reason to be a little angry here today. Pay back, right? Hey back. I mean, No players in the national Blake. They don't forget. And they understand last you listen. They came here last year. I ain't got upset and you turn the ball over in the postseason adore or during the record season, they're gonna lose and having three turnovers and that postseason game last year. The game got away from them. They couldn't really get it back. They remember that and you gotta know that Lamar Jackson's hurt. So many of the negative things about him and Kenny win the big Games and Listen, This guy is 1 30 of 37 career starts. He is an outstanding young quarterback, and we put him in his category and all the guys before him. And if he plays well, today, they have a great opportunity to come out here and to get another wild card victory. As you're saying, Lamar Jackson has guided the Ravens to the playoffs for the third straight year. But owing to the last two seasons, trying to write that ship here at everybody knows we've got the top to rush offenses Lamar Jackson over 1000 yards again this season. Derrick Henry, the running back for Tennessee over 2000 yards to see eight player in NFL history to do that Rod, so the ground game is going to be very key on both sides, who said it was a passing world who said that?
