New Orleans Saints to Use Interim Facility for First Month of Season

"The new orleans saints have picked their starting quarterback jameis winston. Jeff duncan covering the team new orleans times. Picayune sports columnist. Let me start with that season opener given the weather and we still have some time. Here is their contingency plans. If the saints can't host the packers that opening weekend jeff dan. They're working on that right now. I mean the situation is so fluid as you can imagine in new orleans. The power outages catastrophic. The entire city is still out of power. And so there's so many other priorities right now in the city beyond the football game and we stopped the sean payton this morning. Big look like the saints are going to set up shop in the dallas fort worth area. Absurd least the next month or so and he mentioned that they'd even looked into possibly playing their home games over in dallas and. At and t. stadium. I think that's one of the ideas they're not going around with. There's so many moving parts here other trying to make roster cuts today get players out of there and they got families members all in the hotel move hotel so it's a it's a crazy situation very unprecedent.

Michael Thomas Expected to Miss Start of NFL Season With Ankle Injury

"Thomas of the Saints is going to Miss a lot of time, at least the start of the season. Now, this from Ian Rapoport, it is recommended that he gets four months of rest. So if you do the math on that, and I'm not a math guy, really, that would put a Michael Thomas potential return toward the end of November. That is a long time for the New Orleans Saints to be without their star wide receiver again. He had surgery today on his ankle.

"I've jalen rose now. General coach no no no jalen rose. He said one hour no natural howard. He didn't give it away with this. One is extra clue. Okay go ahead. Greg playing for the university and culture university of georgetown surprising got this. I really am you play for and coach. Georgetown university georgetown. Wow i do not know who that is. It's not the it's not the main head coach. Okay i'm going to give it to ya. It's patrick evening. I'm surprised. I don't get that man. Oh that's not the head head coach. But one of the coaches know. He's the head coach of sound right. Now he's only tournament. I thought you said he costa team in the nba miller. I said he needed to the nba finals. Because my bad it's all good. Patrick in wing is been he is Been to the final four three times. He ward one collegiate championship and he's also been to nba finals and he did not willing to founds but he's been to two of them and all around player and why am i talking about him. Suspend with backward violation. We're big on children's cherries as why i'm really big Talking about him all the block city had he basically used that turned into was a monetary value and gave that to charity. And he's continued to do that even as he's grown he's been a motorman has numerous organizations targeting young people so patrick ewing salute to use her yard for backward violated. The show. sir. I am ready so but one more note on. Patrick ewing man. They got let that guy into the stadium that he helped build a thank you at that you a mural something so crazy stuff again. I don't know bad. But that's a travesty. How are you going to question who that man is he. He helps build stadium and let them into their band. I'm sorry chris go ahead go. Didn't mention i love it. I love the violator of this show is members of the media. All james harden as the brooklyn nets and. We were going the things i've heard of the media. Say once pass the ball. I the unsweetened winger. I can't believe in to dribble and reading stimulus. I did you watch any of the houston rockets. We pay attention to the mvp candidate now. Well let go back. He's aggregating twenty five points now and assists and averaging over twenty eight points so between toiling asan's and more likely to get it this season. You know the problem is the is coast bias. Everybody thinks this as bricks little but a small market. You just proved it. All amendments of the stem brother will. James harden's plane. You clearly want weren't watching for that all ya get the back court violator of the show all day. All of one of every single member of the media. I mean you gotta give them some slack. Saying i'm bored. I'm giving it to buy this if you're not somebody's talking about you. The first one is the one that he he could dribble dribble dribble drew. Your your body. Be dave chapelle bit where he doesn't live voice that's about to be of a little bit. Oh greystoke christmas usual. That was the back court fire later in the backcourt violation by chris. Good stuff sir. Good stuff all right. Let's get into some football. Let's talk about one. Jameis winston showy. He recently signed a one year with the saints base. Salary of five point five million but could be worth up to twelve million dollars in incentives. Are you guys doing are selling jameis. Winston as the starting quarterback of the new orleans saints on bond. I'm bonded. I'm bonded on any given sunday. Mark my word. On any given. Sunday jameis winston can win a he can win lars guy's got a cannon foreign arm. He's talented house. A guy to stone for five thousand yards thirty touchdowns and thirty intercept. Show my gosh taste my mouth just quarterback that's thrown for over thirty touchdowns and at least thirty interceptions in a season after throwing five thousand yards. That's why he doesn't have a job right now. Still i'm blind. And no those receivers in new orleans are very excited to you so fast boys because some big receivers and michael thomas he's not a burner but let that man is going to go. The man is going to win. That man is going to catch some balls. Catch a whole lot of balls now. Hopefully drew brees has dropped a couple nuggets at least one or two nuggets that helped propel guys stopped doing interceptions. Hopefully he stop taking those chances. I think he's got a better office of line and In new orleans. And i think you'll be able to play probably a little bit more conservatively. Waste not taken as many chances you to as he has to where you had to play for tampa bay. But i'm i think it'd be fun. I really liked the fact that they brought him back. I'm with you one hundred percent. I'm buying this all the way in. If i was playing poker. I'd be all in on this. I love it for all the reasons. Low said to add to all thing. I'll say is i believe in jameis winston if you take away those interceptions momentum more behalf but if you take those interceptions which i think he will take away. Then he's close to his plane like any quarterback in your him for really cheap. I'm all for it. I'm with you low. We all go to by james winston on this. I think a lot of people sold on them but the too much of their only flaw in his game is the interceptions right right. I'm here turnovers right. I'm going to go in and buy two as well. He has too much working for him. Over near new orleans he does have Drew brees there to mentor him. Encasing easily mentorship. During the course of the season he has sean payton in their the. Probably the best head coach. He's ever had an office of genius there. You mentioned michael. Thomas also as well Low but the one key thing. You guys are not mentioned. Kamerhe alvin kamara those quarterbacks best friend running a good running back off. Okay office line. They're both they're both in the same category right. If you have a good running game you can do wonders as a quarterback and this is going to be the best running game that james winston ever had obviously okay so you look at that there and not even this one the fact that takes them hills there as well. Okay tastes hill is their champagne. Let be known that. This is a quarterback competition right. He let it be known. That's what it is. If that doesn't motivate jameis winston to go ahead and grabbed his starting role the new orleans saints. Nothing will but i truly expect him to go ahead. Overtake that become the starting quarterback and just grow. I've been waiting for. James wis to grow for very longtime was ever. Since he came out of college for florida state. I thought man this guy has he s something there i think he showed a little bit entebbe last year. It was just like you mentioned the interceptions. I think you're right chris if you get this. Cut that in half. He will be a very very effective quarterback the saints. So i'm buying i'm all in on venus. Listen there with the saints. I really i really am what do you what do you think is a successful season for him as a saint mixture curtain harlem turnovers in half. That'll be a success because he's gonna get yard. That's not a problem. He has no issues getting yards his noise. She's doing t- throwing touchdowns just cut your look look ten interceptions max and two lost fumbles. That's all you get is all you get. Because he's going for at least forty.

"As a player as a leader. As an athlete. I really like what we had a chance to see. He was a tremendous leader for this team, and that's hard to do When you come in new and free agency your first year, a zoo backup quarterback Him along with Taysom Hill. Who's in the building? We've said it all along. You know, we're gonna develop and coach those guys and James is one of those guys that we have Ah, big interest in All right. He's one of the guys. But, you know, let Shawn knows this. He's kind of playing a little bit of the fence. Obviously, he's one of the guys, but you're not gonna go into the season with guys. You have got to make a decision, because, quite frankly, if the Saints don't make a decision and commit to James Winston Somebody's gonna swoop in. I'm not say they're gonna give him $30 million, but somebody's going to get him. You know, in that 15 16 18 range, I believe I think to come and quarterback their team. Look, this is different than Mario to who we talked about. Yesterday, bt the Raiders locked him up on a two year deal as a just in case like we don't know we're gonna find out what we what we find out it's worth the extra year. If he if we actually need him and don't want people coming in to try to poach him, and that's exactly what's going to happen with Jamie's Winston. Not that you know, Jamie's is going to go get $30 million or something. There will be somebody starting head had a starting quarterback this cover coming season, but he's not a horrible quarterback. He has a turnover issue. But he actually has a ton of vacuum in is a quarterback, and I think Sean knows that. That's why he's saying we need to sign him before people start bidding on him before his age and start getting inklings from X Y Z team that didn't get the quarterback that they wanted on free agency or in the draft, and he becomes more valuable elsewhere than he does to New Orleans. So yeah, zoo not dicey, but it is. There's an urgency. I think in New Orleans if they do want to commit to Jamie's once it Yeah, and as long as they tell J. They don't have to tell us. But as long as they tell Jamie's like Sean Payton and feet you go book somebody I in a room. Hey, Jamie's We're gonna You'll hear a lot of noises off season. You're the guy. Let's just work this the right way Monetarily will get to where we have to get to where we're both comfortable. Just sit tight. You're the guy. That I think it's gonna work out nicely. I still wish you would have started over Taysom Hill. I was surprised by that. But when she went, Drew Brees went down Jews as you and I both theorized. We thought it was a real Basically a shrewd move on the part of Peyton, like you know what we could probably win a few games with Taysom Hill anyway, which they did much like they won five in or four. No, even though they won the fifth game because Teddy came in for breeze when breeze went down the year before. And Sean sit there saying, you know what? By not playing him and and and showing the rest of the league. How? I've quote unquote rehabilitated his decision making You know what it might save a $79 million, which is what may keep him here or not, Yeah, look at the end of the day, bt you learn from me immediate experiences the immediate experience for the New Orleans Saints. Was when Drew Brees got hurt and Teddy Bridgewater had had to play. He went made $23 million or whatever is that the Carolina paid him. Ah, year and that looked to the Saints weren't going to pay him that much money to stay and be. You know a back up, so they lost him because he had the play. Now that was a different circumstance. I don't know if Taysom Hill was as advanced in their system as he became this past year. On was used as extensively as he was. And so the circumstances last, you were different. They had to play Teddy Bridgewater on Daddy had been there for a couple years. Let's not let's not act like he just jumped on like like James did. But at the end of the day you learn from what happened to you most recently and they know that if Jamie's goes out and balls, there's no way that he's signing a below market deal to stay in New Orleans. Pretty shouldn't By the way I grew up here, Let me put it this way. He took a page from Myriad coaches who go for their rehabilitation when they get fired. Where did they go? They go to Nick Saban, and they re established value and they're viewed as now commodities again, and we've seen it countless times, right? Now The track record is not nearly as lengthy with Shawn because it's different kind of business you can you can you can employ 15 coaches. If you want to make it, you could create rolls. If you have to. You have advisory roles with just to get him in the building to kind of get their value back up. You can't do that with the depth chart, but he did it with Teddy. Teddy got they didn't break it off and Carolina but they gave him D's and money and now we're going to see it with James Winston again. So I think that that's a good comparison. I've always been a big Jamis Winston guy in terms of his arm. Strength, his energy. We've talked to him. We like him. We like what he admits..

"Appreciate you making me part of your Saturday evening. We'll get back to the playoffs in Bit. But let's talk about the breaking news in the NFL very rare to have some Saturday night breaking news in an arrangement. Both the Lions and Matthew Stafford are expected to part ways this off season with the lines listening to trade offers. Ford's former number one overall pick starting this week, League sources tell ESPN There are a lot of good teams in the NFL. Who could use an upgrade at the quarterback position, and I think Matthew Stafford would fit that bill for a lot of teams. The Indianapolis Colts don't have a quarterback right now with the retirement of Philip Rivers. The New Orleans Saints. They're about to not have a quarterback with the retirement of Drew Brees. We can go up and down the list. I think there's about eight teams that Matthew Stafford to make a lot of sense for San Francisco. This is the first time that they can get out of the Jimmy Garoppolo contract. Basically, with no penalty. There are a few teams that make a lot of sense for Stafford and his contract. Stafford's contract is very manageable. If you want to trade for it now, you gotta have the salary cap in the flexibility and a team like New Orleans doesn't really have it. So I don't know how realistic it is that they're going to be the ones to make a move. But you know when it comes to the salary cat, where there's a will, there's a way and if you want to make it work, you can make it work. If I had to officially predict the team. And throw a team into the mix. I think it's the New England Patriots. I think the New England Patriots make the most sense for a couple of reasons. The age of the coach. Don't think that Bill Belichick is really gonna be in a position where he's going to want to draft and develop, said quarterback I think they're going to want to. Plug in somebody like Stafford make some moves on the outside when it comes to skill position players, and then when they're getting eight players off Kobe back on that defense, the Patriots are gonna be a force to be reckoned with next year and a team that legitimately has a chance. So make the playoffs in a team to make noise once they get to the playoffs. We know the Patriots have the draft pick compensation. They have six draft picks in the first three rounds. They also have the fourth most available cap space, and they have a clear needed quarterback with no Cam Newton. And Jared Stadium and Brian Hoyer at the quarterback position right now, if I have to officially throw a team in the mix I'm going to throw the New England Patriots in the mix. I also think it's fair to point out that Matt Patricia now went back to go work for the New England Patriots. So he's gonna have all the necessary information to relate a Bill Belichick. I think the Patriots make a lot of sense. I think the Colts also probably make the most sense as well. No rivers. They've been looking for that quarterback. Once they lost Andrew luck to retirement. They've got Mork cap space than the New England Patriots. Do. I also think the Indianapolis Colts make a lot of sense. If you want me to throw out the dark horse, I'll go back to the San Francisco 40 Niners. I think San Francisco is one of those dark horse kind of teams. To me. Pittsburgh would make a lot of sense. I don't think Pittsburgh is ready to say bye to Ben Raffles Burger yet. I don't think they're a that point. Where they're going to say bye to been robbed his burger. So if you're asking me right now, Where do you think Matthew Stafford will land? I will throw out the New England Patriots. I think the Patriots make the most sense of a logical destination point for one. Matthew Stafford. What do you guys think? Phone lines are open 855 to 1 to 4 to 27. There's a lot of quarterback needy teams out there. Where do you think the former number one overall pick Matthew Stafford land. Let's go to the phone lines. Craig is in Jacksonville going, Craig. Hey, thanks for taking my call. No problem. Uh, So for me, I completely agree with you. I would say, either the Patriots of the Colts Um, but, you know, the thing is with Stafford's injury history. Um, I think it would also make sense for one of these teams to possibly draft one of these younger quarterbacks and bring them in and have him sit behind Stafford. Um I mean, who better to learn from? But you put him on someone like the Colts. The scout. Such an offensive minded coach already think you'd be a great fit, and I have a young quarterback sitting there learning with that coach and Stafford as well and in case something happens, he got somebody else to just jump right in and go. Appreciate the phone call really good points made by Craig and Jacksonville looking at the Patriots draft pick situation. They have the 15th overall pick this year. They've got a second round draft pick. They have a projected third round pick because of Tom Brady and two projected fourth round picks because of Jamie Collins and Kyle Van Noy, who left in free agency, So they've got a lot of ammunition in the first four rounds of the draft. Where I don't think Stafford at this point of his career is costing you a first round pick. He's in his thirties. He's still do $40 million when it comes to his contract. I'm not trading a first round draft pick for Matthew Stafford. But if you're telling me that I could trade the 47th pick for Matthew Stafford, and maybe throw in one of those compensatory picks in the fourth round, signed me up to me. That makes a lot of sense for the New England Patriots. You still keep a lot of draft capital in the first round pick you don't have the second round pick, but you keep your third, which is gonna be in theory, a top 100 pick. That's what I would do if I'm the New England Patriots. I'm offering right now with two into four. I'm offering a two into four and I'm seeing if that's enough to go out there and get Matthew Stafford. Now. The Colts also were an interesting bunch. But I don't think that the Colts Have the draft ammunition. That the Packers have are said to me that the that the Patriots have For example, let's say it cost the first round pick and let's say the lines say no, we're not trading them for less than a first I find that hard to believe that you basically told everybody you're trading him that you're going to have that kind of leverage..

"Of later so it was a rocky and especially given up those big plays a early got super super. Drank pretty early nerve. Well you know. I'm a lab when we held a three points in that first travel. Oh this is going to be a serious game and It was in the third quarter. I was like oh man. We're probably gonna win this and it was seven minutes left in the fourth quarter i turn to you and i said we're going to see champions. You were going to the nfc championship. That was devas- got that interception. We're doing it. Oh my god it was fumble. Yeah yeah he punched posted out. I went through the buccaneers instagram accounts and winfield junior. Put up a video. His dad talking. Shit to the fans in the stands. I don't think they knew who he was. Probably not is awesome though got it makes me wonder how many parents i've yelled at well. We went to practice. Does shawn jackson's mom was out there. And she was very vocal couple of years ago. And then like. I think johnson's dad he goes to all of them. He's on twitter. He's looking at your nets trying to close that. So i can look at so the saints. Such a gratifying. When i think you know even if the waas next week or this week i could probably sustained myself on this. Win against the saints mamie. I've never experienced the crush of a championship. Defeat so that might just be on a whole different level but this victory against the saints was just so selling great for my soul. Amazing we lost to the rams in nineteen ninety nine and it was devastating to this day. I could still feel the pain. And it was because of the refs ref screwed us screwed us crude us at one. Catch the bird. emmanuel rule. man that was so heartbreaking. Everybody that's all that was like that it's catch. I said no because the ball touched the ground he had complete control over it but the ball touched the ground as he was going down the temporary yeah and they they ruled it not to catch because it touched the ground and the they changed the rules like the next year. Berta medo fall. You got control of the ball and goes around. It was just like the rams were super high flying offense. They had scored the most points scored by team that year. And they went and got us are buzzsaw defense and we held onto to nine points. Yeah they one nine three. I think it was not a high scoring game. So that's score mental. Actually no it was. He scores like catch for third downers of robbery. While everyone's saying how garbage the rest were this time. And i'm just going to say we told you. So what time with the packers or now with the saints against the saints. Yeah that's what i'm saying. I mean all the saints families. I thought they great really. Now it's the fans that are like they missed that and gave the saints all. These calls the usual an care the reps this year. The arrests are normally pretty bad. But they share their just particularly egregious. I mean they're calling everything so inconsistently which they always said that were too non calls. Just don't make any sense. It's like if you if you have. Let's say they get ten percent of the calls. They make wrong. Okay would you say we'll give him a low number at me very conservative number If there's only three rules net fine you know you but when there's five thousand rules ten percent wrong of you know all these rule happening every game you just get a lot of screwed up. 'cause that We got called for dude lead with his helmet and in the almost exact same play happened in the game before. And they didn't call it in the announcers were all what and even though. I don't know the broadcast rafter. They always put yankee in there. Also what you think and the endured halfway the wrong half the time and they don't even know their own stuff to get he. They called him and he was like that was definitely eighty minutes ahead with his when he lowered his head. That's the definition of the rule. Not about ready to wrap this up. Yeah i'm starting dinner. Can you spell it. Hey guys that's going to wrap it up for us to the next time..

"Thought he was going to have a good blow out. Game top down. Thought he and mike evans to was quite he only had one reception. He was only targeted three times though. But for three yards a touchdown. So you can't be too about that. I think brady threw a screen pass to antonio brown and he dropped it dropped and he picked it up and act like he was going to run with. It blew the whistle. He had three blockers in front of him and one defender in a good thirty yards off. Space yeah he was going to go. Yeah we dropped more passes than i would have liked to seen every been tally them. Up as you're going through thinking. I got two or three in the first quarter tackle. Wasn't that great either special teams. You know we all saw that miserable. They have their hurrell liability. Like i was going to kill us the whole game. Well honestly know the damage is done real quick and then we just decided not the punt anymore. We went for it on fourth and one on our thirty. Three's and uh did. He got hurt so and helped. But i'd getting past new orleans. Special teams was big concern. Amount worried about the packers as much. Yeah the packers. I don't have as many weapons in their defense as got lou out that gallon for us. Remember anything about that packers game except that we won can watch the the. I was talking about that media earlier. How some of the players were taking a little bit of shots and jake arrieta's but the one that struck me the most was in jordan whitehead. He tweeted and said in quotes kids. Better come to play so somebody asked town who said that. So he re tweeted a screenshot on the tampa bay times of a piece by john romano titled forget. Brady forget crop bucks. Need the kids to step up on sunday and the subtitle is the bucks survive. Twenty twenty with a bunch of nfl toddlers in the secondary now getting burned by nobody in washington. They have to step up against your brees. So i think jordan wanna take not one to heart. He'd been out one back pocket so all the guys spent monday. I think getting houses. Garages maybe the Pressure talk crap about for the next game too. Well you know every time. They've done anything about him. This dog in them that you go got my notes from the packers game week. Six says the some of the game we beat the shit out of but then again they did not play their game. Winning did a minus b. plus level were about a c dropped passes interact inaccurate passes by rodgers. The wind was probably a factor as well. We ran well behind good blocking while they had a twenty five yard run against us and the other one for eleven yards the twenty five yard. It was the longest on the season vase out for the season. So i expect more those. We got two interceptions on rogers including a pick six only his third of his career. Two of them have been by the buccaneers. We scored twenty eight points in the second quarter. Which is something the box of never done before we had zero penalties. Everybody played great. Evans was not utilized. Much at all. Okay so a lot of kind of the same. Have we scored more than twenty points and Twenty points and a quarter this year game. Now that's a lot. Lot of points four touchdowns roy. Fifteen minutes. The touchdown a reform. But i don't think other defensive gone any better but specifically say they did not play their best game. Yeah and they keep saying that. Iran dirt is playing Yeah probably probably after this game they all taito man. We just got our butts would. Let's like we did with the saints. Yeah right yeah play. Better and seek revenge on those suckers needs today. Oh we have won seven straight road games. Which is the longest streak in franchise history. The time bowls is i interviewed with the eagles. I think on tuesday monday. Tom brady has not phone at interception on the road in his last three hundred. Sixty eight attempts as the longest streak in nfl history. That's just an obscure mean stamp for everything and raheem morris has going to the rams as defensive. Coordinator rosario was defensive coordinator. Gone they retire. Tom brady chase young autographed jersey following their meeting in the wildcard round trouble. Yeah that was masterful chore. I.

Tom brady john romano Twenty points raheem morris two eleven yards washington three Fifteen minutes mike evans thirty twenty five yard three yards brady three times Evans Two antonio brown twenty eight points monday

"Watch this. Be a shootout what to be fifty points. I as long as we're put up the numbers on a rolling care scorn touchdowns as long as we score more points than they do. I'll be happy right. Talk about you know. it doesn't matter. This is entertainment Look at it that way and it's really about just watching a good game and everything else grew that it the playoffs. Now it's about win win. And i'll take a go into the super bowl and spanking them like we did with the raiders. I'll take it was over after the first five snaps..

"But more pet comes flying in and he hits the pile or couple of guys and it kind of blurs everything but when you if you just isolate the who had the ball for net if you just look at four net and look at the guide pond. Janine you see the guy was trying to get. I mean he might have hit him in the back but he was. He was trying to get up under his arm so he was trying to punch while i don't think he was punching for net in the gut. I'll look and see the same thing as you can see if he does it any other time. It wouldn't surprise surprising. Man these guys were. They did not like each other. I noticed in the press conferences afterwards like everybody had a press conference. Then as a me dem. Why enforce that they were all in front. I can't didn't none of them. Had a good word to say about. I mean they weren't saint soccer. They would they. Weren't you know we will get to the saints for playing a good game or you know. Say anything nice about one of their opponents new couple times. I think that was a big on twitter. They were doing the same thing. Yeah they were lighting them up until winter does a hull areas and The the secondary now they're calling themselves the grape day. It's the graveyard back there. Let's go look skull. Abodes yeah and the crew. Also and so was a very syrian son. Jake areas taking shots at the media for all in trash so they were talking. Yeah we did a podcast right after the game did instant reaction and it was a good hour and fifteen minutes long but as soon as we were done with a went yet we can't post has no way for one. We were both totally chip faced too. I went on long tangent. I mean i was like this is the kirk because i curse lancaster. But i don't on the podcasts. To make family friendly the just just cost. I said this is going to be the not. Family friendly podcast. This is the cursing podcast. I just went off. And i went off on the media. I was calling people. Names calling them out and the after we podcast. Yeah yeah never especially this. This climate man never know who's going to get banned or mad at you income. Burn your house down or something. I don't way people are crazy but the the players took notice as well and they have apparently been keeping a list of all media good good not a single one of them not a single one. Who did anything to help his team get here. What they did do is. They tried to divide with the whole Our bruce arians and tom brady not getting along over that like three weeks ago. Story complained about the tight ends enough complaining about not do a play action enough complaining about not running a ball and out complaint. You know what screw y'all look here we're here you didn't think we're going to be or not a single one of them. Out of single motto predicted. We were gonna here novel dinner. I'm taking this win taking win. This is the reason why i do it. Yes okay. I have our score productions here you said thirty one to thirty two buck nears. That was a one point. france. I said twenty. Three twenty eight were closer. I did not expect his defense. Step up like that. It was just a down just phenomenal. I mean they want us to gain. Yeah the reason why we won and let's give it to the offense of wine to. I mean they played really well and stingy and didn't hear repeat from him on a sack allowed. That was more pat rate. I'd give it to give it to donald smith but yeah they were Yeah so The running back centre really good game winner in four winter he became the first buccaneers player with two playoff games of over. One hundred yards from scrimmage. I think that he was our second leading receiver. I bet he was our top running back. Well he had sixty three yards rajon sixty two so they were like neck and neck. Four data three point seven yard average jones got four point eight. Yeah i only had thirteen carries but net also had forty four yards receiving. Our second leading receiver came. Break our top with fifty yards and So we didn't have a single receiver over fifty yards. No and they didn't either now. They had one eighty five smith. Tarik smith the sound familiar. He's t smith that's all we got. Yeah i mean we completely shut out. Michael thomas who the hell is number eighty while they lost theon tejero's early on which you know. I'm not rooting for injury. But i think that that really helped us because he had killed us. Initially drake watson myth number two. He had sixty one yards on two punt returns. And you know that one was there. All this has jenner was a touchdown called back for black block block block it back with was bs. Call man out have been pissed. I was the saints fan. I was happy to help out. It real thrilled because we owed them to three again. That was amazing. Both those runs that put them within within the twenty and we held them the three both times dog. Great which is how we had talked about that. I know we were late with our preview but we talked about outlets they really killed us. The first couple of matches especially the first match on field position because deonte harris which is so dangerous and they almost got us i think if he had stayed in game it might have been a different game now. But you know his being in your help us for sure i think and contain some hell to we. Dead get burned for a touchdown by came jameis winston. Well that hurt. Yeah you know. I rooted for james wasting. We were big jameson supporters. dale man. You know at least you could donna. Stone interception me do that when he threw it and the guy was wide. Open down the field. I mean he was wide open as the ball's going through the air. I said this is a fifty percent chance to raise about. I mean under Jamal deen with the the length the leg closing speed yet so good pass breakups two and danny that lakes defense by good Also having vida back since it's just be for a few hours. Yeah he's not he's not going to come in even in super bowl he angouleme in what his normal rotation jack cinci broken arrow arm One of the one of our return guys it was. I wrote that down. Oh foot twenty. Six andrew adams blocked a guy into jackson. She broke and set the same armani broke before because remember before he like. I can't remember was his forearm that he does broken half basically like a really ugly one thing. I don't remember that..

"We beat the saints. Though is good long time some twenty eighteen five games ago. Yeah clock starts. I renew ric nineteen. Were five in a row and it was the best way to do it to you to breathe last game. Probably shut down. Michael thomas picture breeze off four or we have portrait evers three picks of inc. It was a not what a lot of people expected. I'll be honest. I wasn't sure about this. One does one team. I didn't wanna phase the saints. Were definitely a different team than we were week. Six when we played them or week. Nine so i was happy enough. That we did going out was fun that saints fans bar. That was not fun. Although ralph de walk out so those kind of It would have been so if they weren't molly at verse allowed. It was worth it getting kick on the all of y'all just watch drew brees his last game an insult to injury now they were good people i was able to right the the game itself very entertaining everybody. Everybody enjoyed it. Yeah and i was gone and it was closed. I was worried about a blowout on end more. I did not want to see another thirty one to three game. Thirty eight to three whatever. It was the first time. So i was happy especially going into halftime tied gordon. A house time. It was thirteen seven. We were winning now. Was thirteen thirty kaz. Zeros is so. I was glad to see that you know i mean this can have rolling fun. Yeah we we. We play greg game. You know it was. It was exciting. Every everybody that was there was rooting for the buccaneers towards the end. We were the only buccaneer fans but everybody was like. Yeah brady bandwagon. Defense saying divas killing it. And then we're supposed to get vita you know. He's he'll be lucky gets twelve snaps. I was like the bus game so or in the best day. Aside from being hung over it was we got news. That vida was coming back voiceprint. Three hundred bucks jersey. We need more jersey. That's all i need is more buccaneer stuff. Tom tampa tampa. Tom brady jersey jersey. So get doesn't get beat up for green. i'm not. I do hope that he will play. But i'm not gonna be like peak via so we'll see They i watched the rams game them divisional round and they were running it up the gut a lot against the rams so i think he would be extremely useful in that way but i don't expect him to be in top form now. He's not in game shape. You know if when we go to the super bowl you know. Get some more reps in there. But he he's not going to be a dominant force The the plays whole will do well. But jonah limited rotation ni gangs about the saints game. Trauma team has an interception in each of his first two career playoff games. So he's now high with rhonda barber derrick brooks and brian kelly for the fourth most interceptions in buccaneers postseason history of cradle. I know that's pretty exciting for him. And especially he played a great gals of watching the game film. Got the first quarter diamond. He was all over the place. Eleven white and it was like they were competing to see who could be wear the most that sound saying because you know he didn't have the best regular season and so for him to come out in the postseason and really show up like that. I'm just a great sign. You don't want that. Money's going to have an awesome regular season and then not show up in the play. Chris godwin so your happiness for yeah. Well you ain't line but he dropped a couple more passes one in the end zone again. Come on you know i mean. I think there's a lot of pressure on him because he's trying to get a contract to well obviously ain't halen the pressure. Yeah that's not the way to do it and then another interesting thing. That gregg allman tweeted was that all three of our interceptions came from twenty nineteen draft picks. So we had done white sean murphy. Bungee and mike edwards on all of our interceptions an misleading stat though because half the guys in the secondary are from the two thousand nineteen. That's something like that. There's a there's a large part of You know yeah. Sob that really. Good and devon white. They really good too man. He was killing it and watching the game. I notice it with a lot of chippiness going on. We never both sides like in each other's face and we had talked about that that it was going to be a lot of fighting but man watch an alternative. The buccaneers defend every play. Every single. play there in. Somebody's face devon or yelling at people essen be getting he. He's pushing lineman. I mean like walking by and hit with a shoulder. I thought you were gonna say jensen. Because i know him a lot on in their broadcast or he did play in hard until the whistle and they just get up and turn around and walk away just like yes. It guys get so frustrated with it because they you wouldn't would jaw with over get cushioned mitch. Do you see that play where chauncey gardiner. I know that you've watched it. But i don't know if you've gotten to the game film yet. Where tommy gardner was punching for net. It looked you said he's trying to punish the ball out. I sure yeah now. "Drew brees tom. Brady eighty five years worth of quarterbacks second quarter at six three saints and then dan fish huge mistake by brief. Yeah first of all the internal pressure and second of all the physical. Play at the line of scrimmage by murphy bunting getting physical with the receiver michael thomas undercutting that outraged by drew brees. That throw was a huge tone. And that. I love the to mike evans big body in the red zone. Stay in between the quarterback and defensive back touchdown tampa bay for cash in ten six tampa ensuing drive seats trying to respond. This is james winstons. First career playoff past and dan take a look at the triggering. Yeah love the beautiful design and then trey smith leaking down the middle field. But this is really about everyone paying attention to alvin kamara. Watch the tailback in. How many blocks defenders run that way. They lead tricon smith on blocked out here. You big cat. Take great play designed by matt. Nagy that sean payton carries over to yesterday saints thirteen. Ten is the advantage there. Bucks get a field goal. So we're tied up at halftime first. Possession of the second breeze to smith again beautiful. Throw we've seen so much by drew. Brees that incites thought. Fade carry into the sideline touchdown new orleans but then later in the third dan. This play changed the entire game. It's incredible winco junior yet. Tampa new orleans wins. The right they get that slant because it's man coverage but just watch that right hand come in on that back side punch to finish that playoff for tampa bay's defense. That ball bounces right to their defender to huge turnover for them saints turnovers and the bucks cashing in. That was the story of the game. Here's brady that's leonard. Four bucks tied up at twenty cook knows. That mistake was critical. Comes another one dan. Although this one clearly seems to be miscommunication yeah really. It's really just trying to get a vertically route to evan chimera out of the backfield but what happens is never liked. Does a remarkable job of playing with vision onto drew brees patient and then no wasted movement snaps drives on that football before kamera ever turns around and drew knows that was a terrible decision. Saints third turnover leads to this brady takes it himself. Tom brady giving the bucks a thirty to twenty lead. Only the rap isn't excited about it and one last chance now. Desperation time for freeze. That is tipped in the air. And that is all she

"A team was they. Just go the opposite way. We signed. Earl watt offensive linemen. Who was this last year. We signed him and we put alex kappa on. I are no surprise there and then we have four protective practice squad players this week. It is linebacker. Day on the cannon. Greg joseph guard had lars sandwich. I guess he's back on the practice squad in her miller corner of and the last little bit of news which i thought was interesting. He said bruce arians said that tom. Brady's trainer herrero has been a consultant for the bucks this season and has worked with several players in their rehab and recovery process and airing said that his wife curtis had see ahead. Use the tb twelve method for her knee as well or she had been tv twelve. And i think that mike evans of the team you twelve math and helped his knee as well. So it's a total turnaround from win. Thomas at the patriots and of course they kicked alex guerrero out of the facility because he was helping other players in the facility and they didn't want him to and so. It's a huge turnaround. As far as that goes. I just thought it was interesting. We had talked about it in the off season. Yes yeah it was fun it. We talked about it in the bucket. Here's media this. It's almost like they still don't know who this guy is. But he's a. He's a huge huge. Huge part of tom. Brady's life and most people speculate that's the reason why he left. The patriots is because they wouldn't let has been his business partner to Wouldn't let him be involved with the The locker room. Anyone actually kicked him out of the facility and so when he came here to tampa. I'm sure that was part of the things. Like i want to bring my guy in and all this stuff you know. Bruce arians was like we don't care who all right. I've got the injury report in the nighttime ready to wrap it up. How about you you got anymore on the bucks side jeremiah. Ledbetter with his calf injury has not participated all week he has been ruled out andrew atoms. It was not injury related He was out thursday and friday and is questionable. Ronald jones do not participate wednesday. He returned in limited capacity thursday and friday his questionable as i sat short whitehead sustained a knee injury in practice. It looks like he was fine. Wednesday popped up. All the report on friday enhance questionable. Alton davis has a groin injury. He was limited wednesday and thursday but was a full participant on friday. Mike evans with any injury. He was limited all week. He's got no injury designation. Chris godwin has a hip anna quad injury and he was limited. Wednesday and thursday did not participate. Friday probably arresting because he has no designation an alley marquette popped up on friday on the injury report was a pictorial injury but lows a whole participant on vernon shawn mccoy he the hill but was a full participant on week. Jp with his knee injury. He did not participate all week but no injury doesn't nation dot com sue his Veterans day off on friday. No injury designation there on the saints side. We the stall are hardly anybody they get six people that their quarterback patrick robinson has a hamstring. Injury did not participate all week and is out taint. Some hill has a knee. Injury participate wednesday thursday. He was limited friday. Of course. we're hearing today's probably not gonna play seed running back latavius. Murray had a quad injury Participate wednesday and thursday was limited friday in his questionable tackle. Terron armstead has an elbow injury. He was limited wednesday and thursday but a full participant on friday titan. Jared coke has a back injury. He was limited wednesday and thursday and a full participant on friday and then defensive end choi try. I think training hendrickson has a neck injury. He was limited wednesday and thursday but a full participant on friday. So the only one that looks like well the for sure. They're going to miss. Patrick robinson but probably also he's until all right. So what do you think. give it. give our predictions. Let's get out of here and start watches football day. The saints only put up twenty one. It's the bears. So i'm going a little more optimistic. I'm just gonna say. I think the bucks are gonna win. Let's take the box palmer. I'm a homer completely. i'm gonna go with saints. Twenty three bucks twenty eight. okay. I'm gonna go with the bucks thirty two the saints thirty one. I think that's gonna be it. We got it is. We got it here. We go. we win this. We are in a c. championship balance. We'll be playing the packers at lambeau field. That's a scary thought in itself but a we beat the mess out of packers early in the year where we weren't that good we. We lost via apps. first game without vida Still wasn't anyhow. Yeah so we'll be playing the packers but we can't look that far ahead we gotta beat this game. Beat this team. One of the big things i worry about is the coaching. I do think there. Coaching staff does have an edge on coaching staff. Unfortunately they come up with trigger plays they do more in game adjustments. I guess you would say that could be an age that'll have but and come on. Let's do this. let's do this. We got it. Everybody gets the positive energy out. There box are gonna win win. All right that's gonna wrap it up for us guys. Get excited here. We go till next time..

"Tampa Bay Buccaneers or New Orleans Saints, depending who wins the match up between those two teams later on today. After the game, Rogers was not ready to move on to next week. He was still relishing the wind, just thinking about what we went through. Got me emotional with the crowd out there today. I'm just just still really happy about everything that happened tonight. We'll have plenty of time to talk about next week's opponent after tomorrow and into Tuesday and Wednesday and look forward to our conversation. When that time comes. All right Coach at Matt Leffler simply there was a lot of pride on the way the team played. Just really proud of our players are coaches just the work that we all put in. "I like that one under is Well, What do you think about the over in Kansas City in the under, and Green Bay. Well, interesting note the last five outdoor playoff games. We've seen that all kicked off below freezing. All of them actually went over the total. Now it's not meant to discourage you from trying to make a case for the under. Because I do think this Rams defense will match up really well with Davante Adams and company. My biggest fear here is this game could start quickly. When we look at Green Bay. They've been outstanding in the first half. Under Matt LeFlore. His game scripts have been airtight. So this is the perfect illustration of where live betting may come in handy if Green Bay were to build a 14 3 lead early on in this game. We've seen the Packers get a little bit more conservative and kind of take their foot off the gas. So this number where to get up to 48 live at 20 point. That might kind of be my by point. But I won't argue whatsoever with the Kansas City angle, and I actually went over the total in the first half a 27.5 in 28. I think Cleveland can take advantage of Kansas City's first team defense That hasn't seen live action in three weeks. And I really believe that Andy Reid in company know that even with Denzel Ward and Kevin Johnson back in the mix Way to attack. This brown defense is through the air, and it's secondary a little bit discouraging for the Browns as well last week in their win against Pittsburgh, Big Ben Drop back 68 times. We knew the Steelers were throwing pretty much from the second series on They were only able to pressure him on about 20% of his drop backs didn't account for a single sack, and this could be where losing Olivier Vernon really hurts that defense. So I have no problem going over in the first half full game. I think both those teams are gonna have some success at Arrowhead. How about Bucks? Saints? I mean, this is gonna be really, really good. You know, Top bulls. You know, the defensive coordinator for Tampa Blitzed. Um, you know Saints quarterbacks almost 38% of the time back in week nine, so He's gonna be able to get pressure, I think And I think a New Orleans may be able to get a little pressure on Brady. I'm the more I look at this game. The more I think I like the under 52. But what's your angle on that? Do you like aside either way in the Bucks Saints Well, whatever the Bucks did in that Sunday night football game against the Saints, they should like that game plan on fire on def. You guys. They're fans of Seinfeld. They need to go to the bizarro world and find a different coffee shop and change everything they did in the first two meetings against the Saints team because Tom Brady is arguably played his two worst games of the season against this New Orleans Saints defense. Now I know a lot of the narrative going in is well. Tom Brady was embarrassed. He's gonna play significantly better. We can't ignore that. This could be Drew Brees last chance to win that second. Party trophy and New Orleans has had a ton of success against Tampa. Now I know they look different Tom Brady and Jamis Winston but can't ignore the Saints are both five and go straight up and against the spread the last five against the buck. All of those winds have come by seven plus points. And maybe Tom Brady prefers the early bird special. An interesting wrinkle here. The Bucks our own five against the number this year with a kick off later than five Eastern, so Tom apparently likes to go to bed as soon as the sun sets, which won't be an ideal combination here. When I look in New Orleans, I think offensively they're getting healthy at the right time. Alvin Kamara Deante Harris. Michael Thomas are going to create problems for a buck secondary that really struggled last week against an experienced sailor Nicky. I don't love this state secondary by any stretch, but I think they can get pressure with their front four. Enforce the bucks out of their comfort zone. I can tell you there was a very real move from professional bettors taking prices at 3.5 were better on the dog. It's actually one I disagree with. Minus three for me. I'm gonna make a case for the Saints on. I really believe this is their time. The only thing that concerns me as we've seen the Saints come up short when they get matched up against a team that at least their equals in the postseason. Maybe they're able to shake that £800 gorilla off their back and move forward to the NFC championship. With this court cast. Tom. What about the total in that game? It's moved from 49 51 a half 52 I look at the first game these guys played in in the dome, 34 23. So you're thinking I as relatively high scoring, There was 580 yards combined in that game. It was passing her appearance. Penalties. It was a turnover. It was one big return that I remember. I know it's tough boy but an indoor playoff games under because those that have a tendency to go over But the way these defense's air playing, I just that that that first game is misleading, I think, obviously, as I pointed out, but It's tough, but he betting unders because they're not as much fun to watch is over here. Grind like every sucks. It's gotta go Got it. Please get another stop for me. But what do you think of what do you think about this one under? This one is interesting because the total did open his lowest 49 a half and take immediate over money and that didn't come from the recreational weekend warrior there. But when you look at the NFL and totals, especially now in 2020 and beyond with, you know, higher scoring games, 51 52 are key number, so it'll be interesting to see what odds makers do with the next move. Is there an appetite for the under in this game goes from 52 starts to trend down. Order hip blow right through this key on upwards. I think what's so hard about trying to assess this particular total, maybe more than any of the others. If one of these teams finds themselves down two scores, how quickly do they abandon their game script and ultimately look to air it out? Because I think they'll be opportunities in the passing game for both of these sides. And when you look at Tampa, if you could tell me how Byron Leftwich was gonna go about calling plays if he came out ultra aggressive and threw on first down, I think this game could go flying over. But if he leans on what we saw last week where they run it, I A shade less than 60% of their first down snaps. He could be playing a short in the game. Trusting the top bulls can do enough defensively to try and mask some of the deficiencies in the secondary. So 49 a half would've made a case for over. 52 made the games 51.7. So it doesn't give me a whole lot of wiggle room 52 a half 50 directed see making a slight case to go under, but nothing I'm in love with by any stretch. Got it before he left to go anything in an MBA or college basketball that they jump out of U. S Forest. I know NBA just started, but any trends that you've noticed early on in the season? Well, the underdogs have performed exceptionally well. I want to see and I don't have the numbers in front of me that they're more than 20 games above 500 so far on for any of the casual fans out there, Watching they're not just games were six and eight point underdogs are winning by a bucket late. We've seen some real blocks. I think the one challenge, though, with the MBA and the covert protocols, we're not quite sure which players are gonna be out there every night. And when you talk about doing it, recreational. Sometimes it makes a little bit more sense to follow your favorite teams to be in sync with how they're performing. It does obviously get tricky when they played. You're not that familiar with, but I think tonight the MBA. There's two decent opportunities and one which will be a game that tips off just a few minutes from now, I'll go under in the first half, and.

"Teacher in the Catalan of Foothill School District, Indoctrinates his students about trump with You know what he said that more tomorrow morning 6 to 10, Montana State. I knew this was gonna happen. I knew it. There's some people out there Tired of the issues. Usually the stick to the issues. Crowd gets mad at me if I stray from the issues, So I got an email. I can't believe that you're not talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers Humiliating defeat last night, but a Cleveland Browns. What do you mean? You can't believe you think that I would broom this other stuff to talk. They lost four in our last five. It was the most predictable outcome I could have given you yesterday. Didn't I didn't predict the game, but I publicly but I did privately. There was no way that Steve is going to think. Ever since Hard knocks training camp in Cleveland Browns Lately I've been fascinated with this Brown's team. I kind of like him. I'm not disappointed. They want it all coach on the on the bench because of covert 19 all these players, But look, folks. It does demonstrate that there are people out there that want to do. This stuff is getting too oppressive, and it's too frightening it too scary. Yeah, he was. He was crying. He and more keys. Pouncey were crying in the hall. That was a devastate that that that was just that was that was humiliating. Embarrassing. It was it was The fact that it was clean, but what I have to tell you one thing, did you did you just one departure from the issue is that we'll get back to it. Yesterday afternoon, I watched the Bears. And New Orleans Saints. I watched that there were two feeds. There was the straight CBS feed, and then the NFL is trying to expand their reach. To the younger age demographic, so they had Nickelodeon. Did you watch that? You see the Nickelodeon? It was the funniest thing in the world. I enjoyed the hell out of it. Every time there was a touchdown, the end zone got slimed with green slime. Player that scored got slimed with SpongeBob start types types line. I mean, the graphics were odd, weird colors. They had this young Sheldon pop up explaining rules to young people don't know football. But I have to tell you something. I watched a guy Guy doing play by play on the Nickelodeon feed was a guy named No way. Uh uh. Eagle, and he's the son of Iron Eagle Eye. An eagle has been doing play by play for CBS, NFL and other sports for years and I didn't know he had a son. But this guy was so good. Noah Eagle. It was. It was just so good doing play by play and everything else. Nickelodeon was He ran a three person booth, and then they had a couple of people down on the field that they had to get into the broadcasters. Well, it was the number one trending topic on Twitter. Yesterday afternoon, the Nickelodeon feed and broadcast of the Bears Saints game. Which was the middle game, the four o'clock game and I'm telling you this thing, this guy, you know, I'm a broadcasting person, folks, and I noticed these kind of things and I'm fascinated with generational change because you can't stop it. All right. It's on the march. It happens. And I'm just I'm so glad that that CBS decided to do this and that the NFL permitted it. Um, because there was such a start over on CBS City of Jim Nansen, Tony Roma. They're buttoned up in their suits and ties, And it's the epitome. It's the epitome of corporate professionals. Over here. A Nickelodeon, the Nickelodeon feed. You can't find a tie. You can't find a sport coat. You can't find a standard color. You find them make when they kick a field goal. They put SpongeBob Square pants face between the uprights of the goalpost, and they have the kicker trying to put it in the guy's mouth. You would never see CBS doing something like this would but they allowed it to happen on Nickelodeon to try to bring the game to younger Democrat But I'm telling you this this this young madam, how old he is. But the son of Iron Eagle No, it was so good at play by play. Um It was the first time I'd ever heard him. He's the radio voice. I found out of the Los Angeles Clippers of the MBA. Anyway, let me we get started on the phones here. Izzy in Raleigh, North Carolina, was at the speech that Trump gave in the capital. Welcome. Great to have you, Izzy High Mega Dido see Russian the pleasure to speak with you. After 30 years of listening to you. I needed to talk to you. Thank you, sir. As a fellow believer. I'm praying for you. Look, I just wanted to Yes, you're right. My wife and I were there for the day's events. And I just want to suggest to you one reason, perhaps why they're shying away from playing the audio of his speech. And it was because, in my opinion, my wife the PM made those around us. It was flat. It was It was sort of dull. We were expecting a lot. I've been to a lot of Trump won't it was flat. You mean uninspiring? I was it was under spying. In fact, the point where we and several others actually don't throw stones at us. We actually left a little early. Okay, Well, what do you want to hang on is because I got limited time here. So I want to focus you. What were you expecting? We were expecting first of all new information, which none was given. And secondly and you know what we've been to other trump rallies were expecting him to be more energetic him. You know his his tone was almost concessionary in a sense. And the crowd wasn't buying in at all. There was none of that. We loved you in the four more years stuff. Well, you know in your It did look weird. I I I saw a little of it. Trump looked like he was behind a bunch of security glass. And I couldn't figure I think I know he was on the mall somewhere. I could, but I didn't. I never saw a picture of Trump with the audience. Now, maybe there was one. I didn't watch it long enough to see but it looked like there didn't There wasn't an opportunity for there to be of You correct me if I'm wrong here that didn't look like there was an opportunity for a physical connection. Trump and whatever audience there was there. Is that right or not, you're you're spot on with that There was a small group of people closed. Then there was a great divide where the rest of us were able to be with Mega Megatron of the You know the Jumbotrons. And so that also added to the sort of dull Mr On inspiration. If anyone gets inspired by that to do anything, I wonder, and you know, he will let me just make this last point. We left early. So we were some of the first people to arrive at the capital from the Ellipse speech and all of the players who were involved in the pushing into the capital. They won't all army their rush..

"Still, two more games to follow. Chicago bears The New Orleans Saints coming up in a bit later on tonight, the Cleveland Browns and the Pittsburgh Steelers. But the third meeting today between the Titans and the Ravens and, of course, a budding rivalry because of some bad blood between the head coach's couple of players and The fact that the Titans last year Went in and knocked off the number one seed Ravens in Baltimore than beat them again in overtime this year, also had two very high powered offense is capable of running the football. Derrick Henry of 2000 Yard back and on the other side of Baltimore Ravens team that had won five games in a row. Coming off a 400 yards rushing performance. What was this one gonna be? Lots of fireworks right people expected a high scoring game. Early on in this one. It was a lot more about the defense. All the Titans did get the first big drive of the game, and it came in the first quarter on their second possession after both teams have gone three and out to start the game. As he took things over at their own 30 yard line. It took him 10 plays and a little bit more than six minutes to get down the field. At this point, they weren't using a lot of Derrick Henry, but they were using a lot of another big and very strong playmaker second goal, but from the 11 yard line empty set. Three receivers left suit of the rights and hill out of the gun lost it left side 20 years old touches fade a Jake Brown touchdown Tennessee He caught it falling to his back in front of the coverage of Marlon Humphrey and the Titans strike First, It's six to nothing with 5 39 remaining in the opening quarter, a strong, efficient, time consuming drive. It showed a lot of Tennessee can do offensively. Stephen Gostkowski, who was back from injury kicked the extra point. It was a seven to nothing game. Later in the first quarter, Lamar Jackson trying to throw a deep ball gets picked off once he does fantasy takes over at their own. 45 yard line. They go 45 yards on the drive and Stephen Gostkowski nails of field goal from 45 yards out so late first quarter a 10 Nothing Tennessee lead and at this point, it looks like it could potentially be a Titan's blowout. Baltimore still had not found a whole lot offensively. Did get a field goal early in the second quarter at the end of a 12 played Dr Justin Tucker hitting from 33 yards out back that I'm on the board. It was attended three game with Baltimore needed some sort of a spark offensively. Ultimately, they would get the spark from exactly the guy you would expect. It would come from that for our Wrangler jeans highlight of the game. Shot got staff to Jackson Jackson deep in the pocket. Now he steps up tries to run. He's got some space 45 41st down. 30 speed Chase 2015 10. Will they get him? Jackson dives Eddie's in touchdown look more Jackson. He had been pinned up or game but there are 48 yard run. And Baltimore finally has their first touchdown the ball game and it's a big What if they hit the P A. T will be all tied with 2 32 left in the second quarter. They did hit the P 80. And, as the saying goes, speed kills Lamar Jackson, straight speed to the middle of the field of cut to the right and a dime over the pilot and tied the game a 10 and that's where we stood. At halftime. On the third quarter of this game, Ravens started to take charge beginning at their own 23 yard line. With their first opportunity of the second half. They marched 77 yards took him almost six minutes to get it done and 10 plays and they were starting to grind it out offensively on the ground that it was on the ground that they took the lead. This is the 10th play of the drive coming up for the four yard line. Handoff job and running up the left side steaks threw it into the end zone for a four yard touchdown rod JK damage. The rookie had nine scores on the ground of the regular season. There's his first ever in the postseason, and Baltimore has their first lead at 16 to 10 with nine No one left in the third. 17 10. After the extra point early fourth quarter, Stephen Gostkowski hit a field goal of 25 yard director Tennessee came up short, trying to find the end zone and the lead in the ball game. Later in the fourth quarter, Justin Tucker, a rarity missed a 52 yard field goal that would have stretched the lead. But he hit a 51 yarder with 4 19 to go to stretch the Baltimore lead to seven admit that Ryan Tannehill had one opportunity to try to bring his team down the field, get the touchdown and tie the game, but unfortunately for Tannehill, he found the wrong jersey. Tannehill takes a shotgun snap on second five sets up Clean pocket does all his picked up by Peters of the 40 returns into the 50 at all the way to the opposite 47 yard line, Marcus Peters. They have just won this football game for Baltimore with the interception. Things did have three timeouts left, which meant that Baltimore needed to get first downs, which they did. They ran out the clock and they get retribution. Is they not go off Tennessee 20 to 13. The final exciting season comes to an end. As far as the Baltimore Ravens are concerned, they do advance in the playoffs. Who did they advance against? Where did they advance to us? We still have to find that out. If the Pittsburgh Steelers win tonight, Baltimore will be playing at the top seed Kansas City Chiefs next week. If Cleveland wins tonight, Baltimore will be heading to the two seed Buffalo. "Skye Graham will join us shortly from our studios later today on most of these same stations, it'll be the Chicago Bears in the New Orleans Saints in Game two of our playoff triple header, followed by the Cleveland Browns of the Pittsburgh Steelers tonight. But first, it's time for the Ravens and the Titans, the fifth playoff beating between these two franchises. Of course they met last year. January 11th 2020 at Baltimore Ball towards the number one seed Tennessee, the number six seed, and it was an upset 28 to 12 victory, right? Not only that, but in week 11 in Baltimore. Tennessee one again, 30 to 24 in overtime. So it looks like Baltimore. They've got a reason to be a little angry here today. Pay back, right? Hey back. I mean, No players in the national Blake. They don't forget. And they understand last you listen. They came here last year. I ain't got upset and you turn the ball over in the postseason adore or during the record season, they're gonna lose and having three turnovers and that postseason game last year. The game got away from them. They couldn't really get it back. They remember that and you gotta know that Lamar Jackson's hurt. So many of the negative things about him and Kenny win the big Games and Listen, This guy is 1 30 of 37 career starts. He is an outstanding young quarterback, and we put him in his category and all the guys before him. None of those guys one playoff game jet, but he's so special where we're putting him up there with Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees is because we want to see him play that well in the postseason games, and I think he understands that he knows the raven Nation is looking for that. And if he plays well, today, they have a great opportunity to come out here and to get another wild card victory. As you're saying, Lamar Jackson has guided the Ravens to the playoffs for the third straight year. But owing to the last two seasons, trying to write that ship here at everybody knows we've got the top to rush offenses Lamar Jackson over 1000 yards again this season. Derrick Henry, the running back for Tennessee over 2000 yards to see eight player in NFL history to do that Rod, so the ground game is going to be very key on both sides, who said it was a passing world who said that? This is a This is a bully ball. I'm in this game. Right here is old school bully ball, whose will is going to be greater than the opponent? Their opponents and whoever can control that ground game is going to play to what they like to do. The Tennessee Titan. They love Derek it Derrick Henry. I met him when he was 18 years old. He looked like a grown man and 18, and he is bigger and stronger and faster today than he was then and you look at the Baltimore Ravens. They know they run the ball 56% of the time. I mean, that's crazy. That's old school football. I mean, that's back, like in 1960 football. So to see them have success the way they have had it on the ground. Both these teams is remarkable. It's going to be a lot of fun to watch. This is really of all the six games this weekend, the one that has everybody salivating between Tennessee and Baltimore. In Nashville much more to come from Nashville as we approach kickoff between the Baltimore Ravens in the Tennessee Titans, but first post when we return Skye Graham joins us from our progressive insurance studios..

Thirty-two NFL Awards

"Every week on this podcast given out. Nfl awards app. The week is over. This could be a bit ambitious but thirty two teams thirty two awards. Let's go we're gonna call this one the best six and ten team of all time award but the washington football team stepped up so now he renamed it already way to change the word on the fly in the moment with breaking news the best seven and nine team of all time award the washington football team now can we say that definitively it may be too early to say last year tampa atlanta both went seventy nine. Those teams didn't even make the playoffs so the early lean is that washington could be the great one of all time. But we don't know yet. Speaking of that game. The clockwork orange award goes to the new york giants because they had to watch i at one point. This season banned myself from nfc east games. I said i wouldn't watch any until the teams are over five hundred. I watch step drop sixty two instead of being super locked into washington philadelphia. And i don't feel like i miss much. I know there's a lot of controversy would get that. Maybe a little bit later but imagine having your eyeballs taped open like clockwork orange and being a member of the giants having to watch that game. Nate sub-field now. Look we can sit here and be upset about it but you could have gone seven nine and got into the playoffs. So how sorry. Can you really feel for the giants the skeletons on the zahara award. Yes some of these awards. We referenced. his some won't get boy when you do get a weird one. You're gonna go man. I get that all right. That award goes to the. Las vegas raiders. Because at the beginning it looked promising. Nice little boat trip trade. Some spices await were crashing into rocks. Not a big deal here. Some locals gathering on the beach here to help nope now. We're marching to our own death in africa so it was very pro gruden. Hey maybe this gruden guy knows what he's doing and then you're like wait. Does this actually suck again. The drought continues. The raiders have not won a playoff game. Since two thousand to the notre dame award that goes to the green bay packers great record high green. Bay's really good. They're thirteen three though the one seat but nobody outside of their own fan base is rooting for this team. Not only because of the history of hatred. Although i imagine there's way more anti notre dame stuff out there than it is anti green bay but no one trusts you. Yes you're thirteen and three but that's three. Nfc conference championship game losses in the six seasons. A couple down years. They've turned this thing around. They are the one seed. But everybody's kind of overt already before. It's even started the parent's weekend award that goes to the new orleans saints. You guys know the deal parents weekend. There's a dad he wants to stay out with you guys. And he's older he's a little beat up and you're like i don't know like we're going to go out. We can't say no. We respect him too much. It doesn't look great. Doesn't make a ton of sense on paper there's some bad stats in there. But you have to let them do it. You have to let them try and the thing is is you and your buddies like there's no way does this is going to end well. The iceman award that goes to the dallas cowboys man and dangerous. What is with this jolt. A don't let us get hot. This is insanity when this was part of the story lines throughout the cowboys broadcast. Yes you on three in a row. Cincinnati san francisco and philadelphia yay. Then you lost the giants at home. You came in eleventh in the nfc but if you were to get in look out. This is now. It's our time you were eleventh in your own conference dangerous. You had sixteen games to prove that you're only dangerous to your fan. Base is or perhaps the understanding of what the word danger beans the g. league award san francisco forty niners. They had twenty eight players. At one point on i r or another injury cova list which was most in the league. They use the most. I are slots. They lost the most games to injury in the nfl. And even with losing record my coach. kyle shanahan. i can't believe how competitive they were. All season law the dabble award. That goes to kirk cousins in the vikings bike. He's gonna win. Nah no one really cares are one in five star people already over this team so their disappointing season was so disappointing so early that it was just all of a sudden just completely off the radar even though they turn some things around there a bit in the middle of the season with dalvin cook but watching cousins dance reminded me of daboh announcing his tiktok account hickory vickery dot mouse ran up the clock coast. Jalen Hurts inspires Eagles to victory in first NFL start

"At least for one week philadelphia. Eagles fans can feel confident with the caliber of play. They got from the quarterback position and jalen hurts leading philadelphia to the outright upset as an eight point. Underdog against the seemingly unbeatable new orleans saints. The eagles offense showed a little bit of a pulse and the saints defense was nowhere to be found in the first thirty minutes where they surrendered more than three hundred yards. It's kyle shanahan could've done his job. The eagles would have been or would be right in the thickens. Visger that divisions a mess. I mean every time you want to give them credit for making strides ford. They they pull you back in and like you said kyle shanahan and company allowing washington to get the improbable win. But i digress silly. Despite the washington win increase their playoff chances by about seven or eight percent. So there's still a fighting chance you mentioned this game and that's what it came down to is getting out to a quick start. Philadelphia thought for the first thirty minutes. Did a really good job. And they control the trenches. Which is a little shocking. Because you had this. Eagles offensive line that was was really depleted. You've lost peter's as well in that's against one of the more talented defensive front fours in the nfl. The new orleans saints miles sanders woke up and decided to contribute. You'll get the eagles offense. Ten point four yards per russian. At first half fifty percent rushing success rate for explosive runs all in the first half. Doug peterson game plan to me was was pretty good. The script resolved the playcalling was decent in. the eagles. did enough in the first half to hang on for dear life in the second. Come away with that win. And and keep themselves alive defensively. I thought before what feels like every single starter for the eagles left the game in the second half. Billy did a nice job defensively in that first. Thirty minutes stanzas. Well three point six yards per play allowed thirty three percent success rate allow tastes. Him only ran at twice in the first half. He was semi accurate throwing it. What it was just really short. Four point three yards per attempt in that first half so across the board that might have been the eagles best half football. This season they were. They were fantastic in. It was certainly against a team that had more talent. It just looked like philadelphia. Wanted it more along. The lines of scrimmages
