Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 Review

"All right so Galaxies z fold. Three it is University forgotten like all the stuff about eighteen hundred dollars rate. Eighteen hundred dollars for this bad boy. Seventeen seventeen ninety nine. Okay so seventy-nine for this bad boy All the specs. I don't think we're missing anything in here. They added water resistance. The front display is under twenty hertz. Now by the way the the front display on this thing for some reason to me just look smoother than any display of ever used in my life like the inside. One is one hundred twenty and it looks great but the cover display on this thing just seems stupid smooth i i don't i don't know what it is about. There's something about the way it looks to my. So we got one hundred twenty hertz. Everywhere we got water resistance. We gots after eight eighty eight. We ought to fifty six gigs storage. On the base model. We got triple cameras. We got one. Ui three to one zero one. The latest there. Although that's role others you get the side fingerprint reader I believe it's supposed to be lighter than last year's fold too. But i can tell you if it is still heavy. Clunky ass phone you know there's What is there to say. As far as like those improvements again the the cover displays one of those things we wanted last year the water resistance gives you a little more comfort there and just setting it down places although there's no dust resistant so definitely still. Don't take it to the beach or whatever. I can't imagine people taking a foldable to the beach way but definitely still though do that or drop it in a sandbox. Whatever but there's some water resistance

Your Next Dive - Key Largo

"Last year my goal was to do a segment of your next dive where i featured key largo dive mecca here in the united states. I wanted to time this segment for just after we returned from key. Largo in april of two thousand and twenty. Well we all know how that turned out. We did not get there and again in two thousand and twenty one. We were not able to plan out an excursion as we would have hoped to. Two thousand and twenty two however is on the horizon. But i didn't wanna wait any longer to talk about key largo so here we go with your next dive where we travel to key largo florida. I think i've mentioned it before here on the podcast that my first is after getting a certification where with it's a dive located at the marriott hotel on the overland highway in key largo and it was fantastic. How about your first real dive being on a real historic wreck the city of washington a ship that was in havana harbor when the us main exploded and sank now. There are many reasons to choose key largo as your dive destination. Especially if you live in the eastern part of the united states first off. It's easy to get to. You can either fly into fort lauderdale. Which is my preferred airport. As i find it logistically navigate or miami which is a little closer to key Key largo you just hop in your rental car. That is if you can find one these days and head on down now. Let's talk a little bit about the dive. Operators in key largo as you can imagine being to dive. Mecca that it is. There are quite a number of operators to choose from it's a dive at the marriott is no longer operating but i will talk about two of the operators. I'm familiar with. They are horizon divers and rainbow reef now right after only a couple of months. After i did that first trip to key largo i returned and at that time. I drove with horizon divers back. Then they were located in marina at mile marker one hundred of the overseas highway and that was right next to the courtyard by marriott. Which at the time was a radison. It was very convenient to roll out of bed. Get a quick bite to eat and stroll over to the dive. Shot horizon has moved however and they are now located on the overseas highway at mile marker. One oh six. That's the dive shop in a retail store. Their boats are located about a half a mile up the road next to a place called shipwrecks oceanside now rainbow reef has taken over the old horizon diver facility at the mile marker one hundred marina additionally they also bought out ocean divers on the other side of the marina and have quite a large operation. Now the last time we were in key largo. We stayed at the courtyard and dove with horizon. We were going to go back to key. Largo in two thousand twenty and planned to die with rainbow reef. We didn't make it down there now. If you're looking to do more technical diving then. I think horizon divers maybe a better choice for the shallow reefs that i like rainbow reef might be a good option as they have those big forty six foot newton dive boats now. I have to admit that. I've never done the deeper wrecks down there like spiegel grove. Where the dwayne bid. But i love the shallow wrecks like the city of washington. The hanan bell. Also known as mike's wreck and especially the ben would. They are teeming with fish life and are great places to do fish identification and surveys. You can also experience of great dives on elbow reef molasses reef and french reef another great shallow dive through the book spurring grove. Karl is christ of the abyss. Dry rocks you can grit some great photo opportunities there. The water temperatures in key largo range from the mid seventies in the winter months to the mid eighties in the peak of the summer. When i dove in april of two thousand and nineteen. I was pretty comfortable on the shallow reefs with my three millimeter wetsuit. Only wanna do to morning dives. You can free up your afternoons for some topside adventures. A trip to reef headquarters Is interesting or you can take a tour of the coral restoration foundation and just down. The road is the history of diving museum in l. morada. I was really looking forward to getting to the museum last year and hope that i can make it down there next april. Talk about the dining. While if you're staying at the courtyard on the marina you don't have to get in your car and drive someplace you can just scroll stroll over skippers doc right on the marina. They have some great conch chowder. There and if you want a burger or some pub food than walk a little bit further down to dr sharpies shark bite grill. You'll probably run into some of the dive staff there hanging out now. Another great place to eat is the pilot house and that's located right near the coral restoration foundation very close by and and if you're in the mood for pizza then upper crust pizza at mile marker one zero one point six. Just make sure it's not. Wednesday is their closed. We made that mistake. So as i wrap up this segment. If you've been diving in key largo. I hope that you will agree that it is really a cool place to dive. And if you've never been there. I would encourage you to consider putting a trip there on your counter. I regret having taken fourteen years between visits. I'm not gonna make that mistake again.

Continuing to Navigate the Neurodegenerative Disease Subsector

"The first thing. I want to mention of course is what we're really dealing with here when we're looking at specifically companies in the next generation space. Now i'm going to belabor the slight even less than i did last time basically for good phase three data. I feel it'd be good. Expect a company trade between at a minimum really of ten to twenty billion dollars market cap and for companies. That are kind of earlier in the pipeline. I would say they've shown some good phase one b or some good early phase two a data. We can expect them to trade around at one billion dollar market cap and that seems to be the case so far and there's obviously tons of information that we can use to say whether or not they should be trading at a higher value or a lower value than that. But that's generally what i'm going into this with and using the data that's available out there. You can really make your own assessment. What you think is a fair value for some of these companies but anyway just to show this slide quickly because we need to know what we're dealing with here so keep all that in mind as we look at the market cap of these different companies. Today and the first company. I want to touch on. Is a company called aspira. Fire ticker symbol. Ha they closed on friday. The fifth at nineteen dollars and eighteen cents a share giving them a market cap of seven hundred million dollars they're q. Three twenty twenty net loss was eight point five million dollars and they had a q. Three twenty twenty current assets of two hundred thirty two million dollars and then they also didn't offering in february of this year adding another hundred three million dollars to their balance sheet their q. Three twenty twenty current liabilities. Sit an eight million dollars and to give some background of the company they went. Ipo in september of two thousand twenty at seventeen dollars per share so they're not trading it too much of a premium for matt but for anybody looking to take a position in the short term. I do want to remind you that. The lockup occurs on march seventeenth and an additional twelve million shares. That were previously locked up from the ipo are now going to be added to the flow. Which is at twenty three point. Seven million dollars today. so companies. That had this lockup expiration. I caution against taking a long position in only because the dilution. That's going to occur after the lockup is going to put some pressure on the stock price so keep that in mind but the company is looking at commercializing an asset that targets the hypothesis that growth factor pathway also known as the met receptor. And they're doing this to try and treat different. Cns disorders so there specifically using compound called a t h one zero seven and this was previously known as andy x one. Zero one. seven if you're looking in the literature and they're trying to treat alzheimer's and parkinson's disease but this and then they also a small molecule version of this where they're going to be looking at neuropsychiatric disorders like depression. And there's some benefits to using a small molecule version verses the other version using a t h zero one seven. But i'm not going to focus on that. I'm really just kinda talk about the molecule. That's going to be treated for alzheimer's and parkinson's disease and before we do that though i did want focus a little bit on event related potential and a touchdown this on a couple other episodes but i wanted to go a little bit more in depth because the main readout that a fire is focusing on is this p three hundred data point and so what event related potential is a quick primer. It's a q. Eeg measurement but it's a functional version of that so a lot of companies will show a q. e. e. g. measurement of just baseline brain activity. And what this does is it. Just measures brain electrical activity and q. E. e. g. sanford quantitative electro So the baseline measurement is useful. I guess but what's more impactful is actually do a sensory event which is a better surrogate for actual cognitive ability.

SpaceX’s Falcon 9 misses landing after successfully deploying 60 Starlink satellites

"Spacex another new record launching landing the same falcon nine booster eight times. It follows last month's achievement. When spacex launched a record one hundred and forty-three satellites on a single rocket. The latest mission set another sixty styling broadband telecommunications satellites into orbit bringing the total number two somewhere around nine hundred fifty five the mission was flown from space launch complex thirty nine at the cape canaveral space for station florida three to one zero one important number nine successfully lifting off truth nominal from had thirty nine. Am kennedy space center carrying a stack of starling. Satellites took orbit and we are throttling down the vehicle The engines in preparation for max q or maximum aerodynamic pressure this is the largest structure that the vehicle seize on a sense slowing down the vehicle helps us pass through the short period that call out that we've passed through mask max q now in about a minute. We'll have three events happening. That'll be main engine. Cutoff or what we call meco stage separation and one which is second engine. Start one now. Meco is where we shut down all nine of those m wendy engines on the first stage to slow the vehicle down in preparation for state separation. And that's where the first stage separates from the second stage for stage. we'll start making. Its way i start making. Its way back to earth for landing while second-stage continues on its journey with the third event. Which is one for second engine. Start one and that's where we light up the end beck engine and it propels the second stage along with these starling satellites to orbit. We're just about fifteen seconds away from those three events nico stage. Separation and at one stage separation confirmed and condition and waiting on farrington. Play coming up here shortly. Confirm and with that stage separation that confirms the eight successful flight for this falcon nine booster on a sense very exciting and as a reminder we will be attempting to recover. The faring has today with our recovery ships. Mystery and mischievous satellites was successfully deployed an aaron four minutes after launch.

Exotic Bases: The Radix Point

"So the first thing we're going to talk about is the rate x point Known in decimal notation as the decimal point and its use of course represent non integer numbers. Okay like i was. Just you know interjecting eminent ago. How we have are ones tens hundreds places or so on base ten or are going left of gore's right right so but what if we're going to the right of the decimal point then we have our tenth. Tenths places are hundredths places. Notice the emphasis on the t h because were going with fractions this time. So it's like say. I were in binary base two than we would have. Our one half place are one quarter place. One eighth sixteenth. Six thirty four sixty four and so on so what would point one one being based too. I mean the ability to go through that. So let's say that we had the number point one one in based too so we have passed the rate x point. We have a one set first. One is in the one halves place in the one house plays in binary so we have that pretty much any base has especially inter inter basis has a ones place. So that is because it's whatever your rate x number is the homebase kind so it's that to the power of zero and that's just one and then pass the rate x point we start going to the negative ones play like the negative. I power negative second power and so on so because a just a quick review three to the negative to for example is one divided by three to the power of two or three squared switches. One nine exactly. And so in this case if we're talking about the number point one one in binary than we have so we have won the first place past the brakes. Point is one half and then we have the next part. Which is the one quarters place so what we can say is that this is the same thing as three quarters or point seven five as we would write it in decimal because it's one house was one quarter right and there's one half times one plus one quarter times one right exactly and so point one zero one in the same vein you would be one half plus zero tied one quarter which is zero plus one eighth which is five eighths so but so the development of these numerals is actually surprisingly late talked about how he do iraq numerals. It'd been around in the early of verse millennium. But now but it wasn't until the i did until the tenth century a d by hudson oakley dc a mathematician and polymath. Who wrote a book called earth earth. Medics of luke. Dc original title. Keep tub of sue his al hindi in every translation. I've found is called the arithmetic of. But i notice that there's this hindi in there and i haven't had time to research. The original arabic of something tells me that there's something there's represented. Hindu arabic numerals inherited the title. That hasn't been translated. And as i think it's just weird how long it took and i think part of the reason why is commerce isn't always you know you go to the store. You don't buy ten eggs by dozen eggs right right. So i mean i don't know why do you think it took so long from the time that like arabic numerals when introduced to talk about decimal points Instead of the announced breaking numbers into small numbers you just use smaller units of measurement. And it's like you know you know that twelve inches make a feet. You're not as likely to think about how three inches is a quarter of a foot which is point two five which is to hold decimal points so it gets very abstract. I suppose

know why I feel guilty about it but I do okay so I I tend to believe we put all our soul and our hard in our mind and our time and effort into the internet okay we have this thing at the end of our hand called but black mirror okay it's it's a reflection of us is a reflection I guess I'm not over my phone being stolen I guess I'm not really okay I'm not my phone that's still a couple days ago and I freaked out I felt very vulnerable and so this is group therapy this is catharsis this is me taking it out on you know I'm just saying that you know I have many times I've gone to I I've spoken it did seminars I've spoken at that like ghost conferences and UFO festivals and about the last goes conference I spoke at ice I spoke about the magic of thought and I've always talked about told but as I've talked about bigger gore's I've talked about the idea that you know you could form in your mind something if it becomes real then you were at least something something amazing right it is sometimes not amazing like slender man for example you know I know you know the slender man is not real thank but he's real enough to jump out of a computer and preview Boston go tell two little girls trying kill their friend now that's a super power that's that's that's using intend to create a character that jumped out of the internet and one after a little girl through the truth through the mines of two other little girls in Wisconsin but there was in Wisconsin what happened and so what causes these things that I I didn't speech about how you know if we're putting our sold into this immense network it certainly is going to backfire on us and if you're putting your power into this thing and we believe in powers we believe in consciousness we believe and being able to make things happen through prayer and spell casting and everything else why can't you do it on the internet why why why can't you just you know take a whole group of people and convince them of something even if it's not real you convince them that yes it is real like some wide eyed scary looking creature with that with chicken legs and and long hair convinces children commit suicide like momo idea Malmo show talking about me magic Lobo's a hoax no mobile affected a lot of people regardless of what I was a hoax they set out there was a mean it it took on a life of its own peppy the frog trump was being into the White House a lot of people think on reddit four chan games are powerful enough to have a tremendous effect on reality is it magic well a I guess Richard Dawkins talks about how your back what he wrote a book in nineteen seventy six he said that cultural information spreads sometimes cultural information gets a life of its own and when you look at something like an internet meme which is kind of like a gene of the internet it's it's a gene it's a meme is an idea and it spreads it random but then it changes and then it replicates and that's how the magic begins is like you said something off and it replicates and it's got like the survival of the fittest writer the survival of funny is the survival of the most clever memes are a trend they are bad people make them all the time on message boards that created and shared and they're really not considered influential a lot of times they're not but when you get one that just catches on the just has a mind of its own to snowballs into something greater okay Starz sayings of that's the magic of means sometimes and that's why I was pointing out things like you know Jeffrey obscene didn't kill himself I talked about that as a means good take on a lot of power as well a wound of the golden globe awards right and you know and everybody was doing surveys we talked about it but you certainly it it it was something that went from the internet two you know common day you know just right right in reality here and you know you are the peppy the frogs of those are your idea of Nova peppy the frog may say well internet magic Gabby the frog actually helped elect you know Donald Trump algorithms are starting to see the the the whole thing with Donald Trump take take shape because weirder and weirder and weirder and weirder and finally it out and it'll really talk about is better than me was Tracy Twyman I'm sorry she's gone because she would've been able to just nip this right in the bud if you would probably have a heyday with what happened the other night when I was talking about the idea that you know they tweeted actually texted bunch of kids and said they had report to the draft board in a free doubt there was a lot of World War three means our show the ridiculous is the idea of World War three and then Donald Trump now this is the thing and you know did people writing is that I really don't think that Donald Trump did any magic to make this change I have been in yeah I think the thing that I'm thinking the some sort of a witch I think that people write me and tell me that it I don't think he's which but I do think that he along with his generals and other people commit something called state craft okay or prescribe it I called State crap it's really pretty scrapped it's a way to go about creating reading a a crowd pleaser or a a a a crowd suppressor or whatever for example when I brought me magic give the night there was many P. there were there were many people who work at your tainted the Sadat Clyde you what you know okay you could have your attention I don't care what I want to point out to use this trump did state crafts I want to point out the state craft it's a maneuver where he used a lot of neuro linguistic programming to kind of move the crowd into a die at a desired direction and those proficient neuro linguistic programming use magic words basically tripping phrases that bridge with the people to generate is our results so what he did is he wrote this he wrote in this is pretty state crafty issued on his part all what all is well he said all is well missiles washroom ranted to military bases located in Iraq assessment of casualties and damage taking place now so far so good we have those powerful and well equipped military anywhere in the world by far I will be making a statement tomorrow morning okay so that was his tweet all is well he said so just saying all is well was enough to call me American people down and they all went to sleep saying all is well that was done that was easy but the truth is all was not well okay he convince you that all was well but all was not well Iran shut down a Ukrainian airliner with two Russian made surface to air missiles killed over a hundred seventy people there was also a report the two rockets reportedly fired inside Baghdad's heavily fortified green zone or the U. S. embassy and then of course not everybody fell for the little magic tricks at all as well because the house on Thursday approved a war powers resolution the Democrats said would limit president Donald trump's ability to take military action against Iran but Republicans claimed well this is meaningless it's another example of how they're undermining the authority of the president United States and while Democrats one to reassert their constitutional power and they wanted to say okay but mostly on party lines to twenty four one ninety four with eight Democrats playing for the house speaker Nancy Pelosi although three Republicans across the aisle to vote with the majority so again this proof by argument again that there is a civil war brewing right now it doesn't matter what happens you're always be an adversarial coup doesn't mind the actors the president United States of the action the president I'd states in this will not stand because we're gonna fall apart but with some crappy neuro linguistic programming in me magic we hold things together for some reason but we live in the year twenty twenty and in the culture at large we may be on the brink of a major shift in perspective with enormous implications for how most of us think about the future in the well being ourselves our friends our families and after years of being told many times it you know that they were doomed it was her acting like we're doomed restart dooming ourselves out of existence Eddie and you can call the end of the world or anything else this is the thing the story ends are gonna call the end of the world this story is gonna call World War three you don't call it anything you just you're in the middle of it you don't know what's going on but your believes that the something is not right you feel something is right and believes are are are like believe Sir transit a human trait we have that large prefrontal cortex that enables each of us to have a a belief system we are the aids that think where the aids that believe in god we are the aids that are able to shower and shave not look like aids all this is part of our social psychology it's been around for thousands of years social psychology basically is the study of how we think how we influence our relate to one another because we're social beings I would communicate with others every day there's not one point in time I mean there's some form of communication you're having somebody you and I right now we're having a form of communication right now I'm speaking to you.

"Three one zero one one so if you use the velocity that was fed us in the movie the matrix everything is a program everything is programmable even your identity is a program politics or program the actions of the president are part of the program blueprints refer causality not always what you think it is you know everything and then something happens you complete goal weight I was expecting this I've always said the reality has been a word that should be used in quotes we really can't count on shared reality with others when there are so many people for now resonating with various forms of what is truly reality and what is fantasy and the line between the two becomes fuzzy and not so stable this simple programming apparatus record of your thoughts and feelings is deeply mashed what what can be seen as your soul your consciousness or whatever or what whatever you're you're you're so you're thinking you have the light of Christ the holy ghost I mean just go through the list of all the things that people say they have the force so consciousness when allowed a viral idea or a monster manipulator something gets into you program your soul for whatever it sees its best fit for you consumer absorb even miss information even information from others this can impugn you in a lot of ways it can it can make you think you can get call you action you can strike fear in you this is what I mean about meme magic okay means are not just what you see on the internet memes are something that have been at that are basically a container for all these feelings and if they go out on the internet they can overlap with the means are also in commercials T. V. radio commercials you know where's the beef you know that these things stick with you all right a stick with you and they mean something in the in the time they're being released and sometimes I mean absolutely nothing later on but influences for the time songs you hear on the radio influence you in a lot of ways now they're gonna convince you to go out and shoot cops or or any of that stuff rob banks of your lives listening to some hip hop song about batter it's not going to convince you to divorce your husband or a you know take a baseball bat to his car or you know it's not going to influence you to you know burn churches if you listen to death metal itself I mean these are things that people worry about but he'd be influenced you in some way they give you a re a creates a reaction in some way is it we don't we don't little about biology I mean we juror through the breakthroughs of neuroscience we compute we we're now looking to robotics we just sought neon at the CVS I mean all these materials are out there to hack not only the consciousness but they also hacked the zeitgeist they they they hacked the culture they hacked the human body they hacked the brain and we keep hearing the technocrats want to reshape the body we keep hearing the technocrats want to reshape the mind we hear that propagandists one received the mind we hear about meddling elections we hear about propaganda we hear about meddling from governments I mean here we are in a time where they had been changes for the technocrats to map human choice to map the human mind and they're able able to program and it gets so complicated that people think that they know how things are going on a reality you know absolutely nothing about what's going on and when you can't explain it you either save yourself what's all sham or you say I don't know what's going on and I hate to even you know fabula gas or you have to say well something beyond my own comprehension is is behind all this I can over think it you may think I'm overthinking it tonight after a percent over simplify it but you know something weird happened last night it was a very interesting time for all of us here in the newsroom the earthquakes the the nuclear power plant it was where the new the the the the earthquakes went off the plane the came down people writing about the China lake episode we gave our we had a a few months ago for many months ago at the well into the fall well the earthquakes in the China lake area and the experiments they were doing with tectonic weapons in the idea that earthquake in at all this may have been tied to the attack and president trump himself even said that there were some secret weapons being used he didn't divulge much of it but the de escalation process could have been a number of things that could have been the fact that they were memes going out there making fun of people who think the world of saw the World War three was taking place people men women between the ages of eighteen and twenty four who thought about during the draft because bogus text were being sent out saying he did report to the army the the crashing of the selective service website because people are panicked they were being drafted and of course everybody we don't think about the mortality and then Donald Trump and in this isn't this is reported this morning back said Donald Trump actually after would be the attacks took place with the rockets last night and all that in Ron tweets from president trump and Iran foreign minister is job ed is Arif basically if you read them you can look them up the reading them that they were both exchanging ideas saying that they need which to escalate this whole attack into a true war and it was real time de escritorio Twitter it was it was it was actually you're tweeting dimple that twenty diplomacy if you will and he was kind of like how you know you look back in time you think about the red phone that Kennedy had with Khrushchev will now there's Twitter the end is tweets and Twitter it may have averted of the whole escalation what went on Iran and and so you know isn't it it could be a matter of me magic it could have been a matter of you know innovation but I never thought I'd see the day were Mullis would tweet about death to America and others would tweet with coal mines and talk about what needs to be done to avert a total war eight seven seven seven three three one zero one one that's eight seven seven seven three three one zero one one a rich North Carolina hi Richard ground zero Hey merry doing good that was fascinating that that that is fascinating you know Jack Dorsey said that he would not get involved in political tweet because he's been asked or Twitter is financed afford to ban certain political like the molars Iran at the Iran and and has blond look of has a lot of the yeah the Twitter page that don't pay I don't know and probably do I'm pretty sure they do yeah I'm pretty sure they do and he's been asked before no I'm not gonna get involved in and I believe you said on Rogan they would they want to they want to ban the president too and that is what you kidding why would a president you know I'm in a band him right right and if you're in a I mean what you're saying I mean it makes sense that makes sense I I haven't looked it up or anything but I mean if if that's if that's true I mean this this is why he uses writer because his word get as word gets twisted right to Richard something I want to talk about with you since you bring this up remember how I was a pining the fact that this is not how trump operates trump is not a guy's gonna go oh by the way I wanna go kill somebody day that's not Donald Trump Donald Trump is by the way I want to wake up and negotiate with somebody today I want to go on Twitter negotiate this to make it work I want to I want he wants to be cope ascetic he wants things to be co pathetic that's Donald Trump and people say all Clyde you're just you're just so pro trumpet you don't know Donald Trump announced say this about Donald Trump and and and this is what I'm gonna say you to think I'm a conservative for saying but it's not true I I'm I'm saying something nice about trump is there is something nice to be said about it when we allow trump to do something good he does it down right yeah it would we allow him to do something good he does it now that doesn't mean however that everything he does is good that doesn't mean I'm a sick of fan that doesn't mean I think that his you know that the that what he does is gold it now but when we allow him to do good Donald Trump does good any does it in spades and I think the American people need to take that into account that if we allow him to do good he'll do that the art of the deal pretty modest deal right he wakes up it's what wakes up to do every day hi and there's a we did a little bit he needed to reinforce that the iron fist of our military he needed to show you know I think the military did that I think less than I can say and the people say although he was in total control as well I think the military that I think the military did that and Donald Trump had no choice but to basically make statements about what happened he had no choice but he did it and they had him in a corner and then what he did is he did what Donald Trump does he doesn't like being put in a corner he decided well right when I just tweak the guys and see what's going on we'll find out how we can avert this problem and he six hundred do you think the mainstream media's gonna give him credit for that no I did get out or they say all Twitter diplomacy now hot when they want you wonder baffled is **** eight by the way we're gonna bomb United Kingdom Come or does it all with a rather of Burke World War three with a rather a bird a horrible problem or a horrible war all these men died Donald Trump I mean I like I said last night you know up till three years ago I said well he's he's Dowell war president you ever used to be but now it's going back to being the guy that we always do the guy that was in a war president the guy who got on Twitter and decided to tweet and do diplomacy over the internet that I think it's amazing I'll either it's amazing that's the whole point it's magical it's so magical is amazing it is I mean and then by the media won't talk about it they'll just continue to criticize him but I I don't know I mean it's like give the guy credit where credit is due don't always kick him anything because if you give them the opportunity to do good Donald Trump will do good three letter word network was on last night saying how much how many Americans he killed because they fell for the propaganda bell for their state run media propaganda and they'll never let it they don't they'll never let him when they're never going to let them win anything and now I just I think it's yeah well I'm not Reagan.

New Year’s resolutions And Carrying Out Personal Change

"Many of our New Year's resolutions go right out the window not long after the start of the new year converting good intentions into action and creating creating behavioral changes harder than it seems it takes repetition and being realistic about your abilities and when it comes to your money cracking the code to stick the the best practices can mean a lot for your wallet. Let's bring in Wall Street Journal reporter and Torgersen for more on this. So you know. We're not saying making resolutions at the New Year is a bad idea But academic research says it's an ideal time specially to take stock of your money and your finances and even do it on your birthday. Yeah so there is some Very interesting academic research. That looks at you know that that issue of motivation. So when are we you know. We liked to sort of make promises that we're going to change things in our lives jobs for the better and so there are studies that have looked at keying. Those types of promises to yourself around sort of birthdays and New Year's in particular and these are dates that represent sort of a fresh start Where people kind of take stock of how things have been going and they they have a sense sense that you know this is the start of New Year so I can begin a whole new. I can turn over a new leaf. I can begin. You know to focus on a whole new me Whereas you know just saying I'M GOING TO LOSE TEN POUNDS NEXT TUESDAY. Maybe he doesn't have quite the same resonance with people. And whatever kind of goal you set whether it's your health or whether it's your finances it's important. Give yourself small victories to enjoy along the way right. So there's a difference between. I think we're all familiar with us. You know everybody makes a lot of people make New Year's resolutions and then you know a couple of weeks later maybe we lose our momentum and we don't carry them through grew and over time. I think you know the the repeated failures to make good on on resolutions can actually. Kinda take a toll on your self confidence senior ability to do so so I think it's important to take specific steps. Not just to kind of promise yourself that I'm going to kind of revolution. Oh He's my approach to savings and spending or whatever your goal is but to take specific steps to actually make it more likely that you're going to be able to carry out your goals and in terms of your finances. A good way to do that would be to automate your savings. Yeah so that's sort of you know the advice. One zero one for people is when they make a promise to themselves. Say You WANNA increase your savings rate by a couple percentage points. You know you should just automate it because that takes out the whole issue of willpower from the equation and by all means right down down your plants. Well it's an interesting thing that I've spoken to a number of behavioral scientist for this article and One made the point that when people actually write down a plan Dan to meet a goal. It feels a little bit more formal. Maybe a little bit more like a contract with yourself so that people are less likely first of all they're more likely to remember member the fine points of their plan and second of all. They're less likely to break. Fat promised to themselves and experts recommend behavioral therapy. That sounds kind of serious. Well that's just one of the ways I mean it's not necessarily saying you should sit down with therapist. But but what it is. It's it's sort of a cognitive approach by which you can sort of identify maybe triggers to bad behavior like for example This isn't a financial example. But my one of my resolutions is to stop eating dinner out of the snack drawer at work. Sometimes when I stay late I get really hungry. I have every intention of going home and eating healthy but I'm starving starving. So I'll eat whatever's in front of me and so for me. The trigger is staying late at work so the good thing at that point. You need to kind of brainstorm will water. That's the trigger. That's the problem. What are the potential solutions. Well the potential solutions are that I can just make sure I bring some healthy food from home. Make sure I leave by a reasonable hour. Our were before I get hungry. So it's kind of thinking and all those involved willpower and changing up in training yourself to do that right right. So it's a multi step process us and then there's something that behavioral economists recommend it's called mental contracting when setting goals. What is that the first step with all this is that you need need to set realistic goals. So rather than say you know I'm just GONNA I'm GonNA retire by forty you know it's like think about what's actually realistic. You know maybe you currently save five percent of your income. Maybe you want to get to that fifteen percent that a lot of experts recommend so you know a good plan for you might be to increase your savings rate by by one or two percentage points a year until you hit that fifteen percent so mental trusting involves thinking about your ultimate goal. Which is you know? I want to be self sufficient in retirement retirement. I'm going to save fifteen percent of income to be self sufficient retirement and then thinking about all the obstacles to that for example while every year. I promised to do you this. And then there's some unexpected expense that comes along and causes me to derail myself from my plan so therefore I need to come up with a solution to that which is is maybe to save for emergencies. We talk about financial planning a lot on this show. Don't be afraid to hire a financial planner. Yeah I mean that can be appropriate for people depending on their Third Goals I mean if you have a goal to do a financial plan you certainly can try to do it yourself. That's something that a lot of people don't necessarily have the time or interest in doing a Lotta people become very kind of daunted by the idea of of hiring planner because it involves multiple steps and it's a little bit which can be a little bit complicated. So one of the techniques that experts recommend is breaking down You know what what you think. You have to do into smaller kind of mini step so with with hiring a financial planner. The first step for example might be just linking you up all your accounts to some kind of agregation site where you can see how much you're spending and how how much money's coming in and then just simply setting a goal to look at that once a month until you become familiar with how your finances are going you know then you might. WanNa think about. I'm trying to hire a financial planner but again you kind of break. That tasks down into smaller steps. No Right that's Wall Street Journal reporter and Turkson with us and thanks for coming on the show here.

"One zero one one the day the earth stood still many people don't know that it was an allegory for the second coming club to was a messiah figure who dies is resurrected to give a message to a dying planet the reason why I know this is because it was an interview that was nineteen ninety five were producer Julian blaspheme explain that Joseph Breen the film censored basically they had the like the Hayes office back in the day they had the the sensors that were actually voluntarily put into the motion picture association of America this is before they had rating and so the motion picture association of America the twenty century fox studios had a sensor in the guy's name was Joseph Breen and what he did is he balked at the portrayal of class whose resurrection and his limitless power and so at the behest of the MPA a line was written into the script but hello yes glad to whether gore as unlimited power over life and death cut to explains that gore has only revive him temporarily and that the power is reserved to the all mighty spirit because they figure to sacrilegious does to have him be the metaphor for Christ or Christ like character so Edna nor the guy who wrote the day of your stood still the film we wrote for he hoped that the Christ comparison would be a subtle one but the sensors do what was happening so they try to hide the fact the club's who's coming would actually stop the earth completely causing untold biblical cataclysm is to occur now you will be other comparisons to Jesus little bit more subliminal inclined to escape from a hospital he steals the clothing of major carpenter carpentry of course is the profession that Jesus basically learn from Joe's of his father he presents himself as John Carpenter okay the same initials as Jesus Christ JC and then borrowing your given name from one of the disciples John John Carpenter his previous actions of course misunderstood he eventually is killed by military authority at the end of the film quite to having risen from the dead ascends into the night sky and other parallels include is coming to earth with a message for all mankind is befriending of a child possessing wisdom in specialized scientific knowledge beyond any human being of course quite to offer an artifact is a sign of his power member beginning he'd be offered something it was shot out of his hand and he said wait this is going to cure all of your diseases as it shows by divine power so the very start of the film if you if you watch the film about observing the speed of cut to space ship one of the guys that were the radar technicians goes holy Christmas of course there's a there's that famous speech that of course Sir glad to gives after he's resurrected from the dead he says it is no concern of ours how you run your own planet but if you threaten to extend your violence this earth of yours will be reduced to a burned out cinder the choice is simple join us and live in peace or pursue your present course and face obliteration we shall be waiting for your answer the decision rests with you the film again convey the concerns of the people of the time and and savior on the screen company by a robot was actually selling the idea of the eschaton more palatable way in the world course there was a remake it was remade in it actually two thousand eight it had Keanu Reeves for the Michael Rennie character was basically virtue signalling environmental cataclysm it's man against the earth basically it actually rejected the Chrysler Ford replace it with a contemporary fear of environmental collapse see that was always hi jacking the narrative in a lot of science fiction we're first talking about global warming in class the environment we were slowly moving into the second decade of the twenty first century and there's been a lot of doubt growing doubt about the viability of an optimistic future it used to be that the the pessimistic view of the future was confined to twentieth century literary humanists that solve your two thousand and twelve years hence is a window of opportunity to write about an apocalypse that include such things as white two K. mine calendar and of course return to planet X. those were the the the top three years for the end of the world especially December twenty first twenty twelve which was the end of the Mayan calendar really believe that the world would end the planet actually show up to be rude but NASA got mad so there is no no there there is no planet X. there is the return of anything but of course we're always waiting right we're always waiting for that moment or something comes down out of the sky and tells us that they have a message to give to you manatee that's what we have Christmas every year someone once told me that but Santa Claus coming down from the sky Christmastime represents the second coming as well kind of a a ritual every year the kids wait for the bearded man come down out of the sky and give them gifts and give them messages of hope and love and so here we have the the constant reminder something is out there it has concern for all of us that do the there is watching us from a distance but loves us the cares about us the wants to intervene if we ever get to a point where we're about to destroy ourselves but you know I'm wondering right when it was all awesome to think about the twentieth century here are the twenty first century and things are a little different now the eschaton is not just a religious thing the end of the world is not just a religious thing it's something more now we'll talk about that coming up on ground zero eight seven seven seven three three one zero one one.

"Three three one zero one one my clock I got a big clock in the studio it's huge solution to the bridge of the clock because it's just the biggest **** ever I don't think people in any studio clock is paid by a car huge right now the clock says it's eight oh eight nine ten eleven eight counts two eight oh aids fourteen fifteen sixteen seven eight minutes after the hour eight Pacific eight nothing significant I'm just telling it's eight away because I know what time it is that's what that's what it's eight minutes after the hour wherever you are it's eight minutes after the hour right I'm just saying that because I want to give you the time yes for me it's eight await for you it may be channel eight or eleven await or wherever you are because time is kinda segmented like that right so there's a big conspiracy theory out there that does get talked about course I talk about it because I'm I'm I'm I'm weird in that way but anyway so in case so that many people dismiss the very idea the greatest lie of all is where we are in time or well had written something once in nineteen eighty four he wrote he controls he who controls the past controls the president future however the quote goes even further continues to point out that all knowledge meaning and value exists only in the collective mind of the party the reality is if you pass the new passes what was hands he controls the pair he controls the past controls the future and he who controls the present controls the past so what if the powers that be beside all gather together and create a pass but didn't exist what are they all got together and create the future or created a time line or to be manipulated history or they created phantom time or they were trying to rush to avoid a paradox what if that all became truth now every year at this time I feel like I'm in a groundhog day type movie strip blue by always make this claim I always say I'm not going to do a show about the Kennedy assassination every year I say I'm not gonna do one not going to want to do it I say this is my last show the Kelly assassination my last and here we are again it's eleven twenty to twenty nineteen the anniversary of the Kennedy assassination and I'm doing another show on the death of the thirty fifth president now the only reason why I'm doing this is because I had a listener call into the program a couple nights ago as you put a little seed in my head and she said I want you to talk about that old school conspiracy theory about how John F. Kennedy and Abraham Lincoln across the endless Gulf of time were wrapped in a weird web of seeing conspiracy that's a conspiracy of synchronicity I made up the word some people hated by make up words however there's much more to the story of that comparison that presidential comparison and and doc connecting an entry that many people don't realize Carolina quantum nature or whatever the quantum construct the date the time do you believe you're it by the way it's now eleven minutes after the hour here it's eight eleven maybe nine eleven or you are synchronistic maybe who knows here's the thing what I'm about to illustrate to you may sound like kids crank conspiracy there in it might be I may be a good candidate to promise in Paul had to you may be too but it's gonna be a mind blower because it's compelling because the research involved gets pretty bizarre and when you look at Lincoln and Kennedy comparisons on a breath when you look at it for a much broader quantum level you tend to see patterns in the time line today I was talking with Ron Patton in my studio I have for many of you have seen the videos they they we do behind the scenes videos he noticed guiding David you sent me this cool picture of Phil K. deck I'm a big fan of Phil kid that man the high castle just came back on again I guess is another season they have this idea of thinking of alternative histories alternate futures and it was a book that he wrote I guess was made into a movie I did notice is called radio free album both radio free album us was this book it basically is an alternative history alternate history exists after JFK is assassinated which aliens are controlling the minds of various people in government and it's kind of I guess hinted at the fact that Dick wanted to save it darker forces were responsible for murdering JFK and putting in his place an evil president by the name of Paris at Fremont now his rise to power of course is implied to be a direct result of this alien conspiracy that may have been involved with the death of JFK courses alternate history it's something that he made up in his head right but still keep Dick posthumously is always had movies of come true white minority report does something a lot of the other things like in Blade Runner replicants are basically robots a look like us I mean he's been really really in tune because he was kind of a crazy guy but here here's the thing this book is it really all that detail about JFK but Philip K. Dick apparently was a huge believer in something called the E. change which aging basically predicts the future with numbers and shapes or whatever any letters and stuff and so he wrote down in in one of his memoirs he said that he and his wife owned this four thousand year old oracle called the E. chain just before Kennedy's election they asked it what sort of president Kennedy would be what what what what kind of present would he be able to be what would what would you make of them and the answer was no kind of way will be making a president because he will be assassinated that was why I've wanted to write Mrs Kennedy and say Hey guys president Kennedy is in danger but Jo okay Dick persuaded her that now you can't do that because if you do people gonna think you're nuts so just forget about it so we always go that told K. Dick's police were stranger than science fiction but in this case he was telling the truth it was eerily president what he was saying press in what you say because there have been those persistent rumors that Kennedy was killed use a sassy because what he knew about some sort of alien shadow we group it existed he knew about if you can say anything about but he had an interest in it okay a lot of people say that the reason why he got killed was because he was snooping around and he was trying to learn things about aliens and about space about time travel and he really want to get to find out if the Russians knew anything about it so course he's a Russian spy right devise rushes by because you want to get involved Russia the whole idea of some alien presence involve the Kennedy assassination sounds completely no you're right I mean it was his first either sounds crazy but there was a document I'm Linda Mona how turn me on this document is I was service is somehow indicated there was probably some truth to this alien thing apparently there was something called the burnt memo from the MJ twelve documents and M. J. one was the author of it in NJ one allegedly was Alan tells the head of the CIA the memo was eyes only classify the time is right the document serves the nineteen nineties and says something that my answer Lancelot which way is or was of course Kelly secret service nickname lancer was enquiring about aliens and UFOs and possible connections with time travel and also is Kerry's at the Kremlin was where the activity well after this memo surface Kennedy was killed a month later in Dallas Texas the fact that there was a UFO and alien query or even talk of time travel actually sounds a lot like what Phil K. Dick was talking about in this novel of an alien force was behind the Kennedy assassination it was part of some quantum conspiracy we have to provide you proof right that happened would have to say well here's some things you need to think about it rolled over your head a little bit and so then I am I'm gonna try and give you that only give you peace of that right many authors have written theories about how the Kennedy assassination some sort of ritual to appease some strange demonic alien force it's intriguing it's a theory based on coincidence a lot of other historic events of course we do the whole you know comparison between Kennedy.

"Three one zero one one I can always tell when people feel uncomfortable when I start pushing into where we're going in this country and I start talking about conspiracies that deal with political treachery very punitive crime you always that whatever happened the guy talks about UFOs whatever the guides are from big football on this monster he's right here okay he's right here I wanna let you know a little secret one of my favorites broadcasters of all times Edward R. Murrow he along with Walter Cronkite he along with Orson Welles rod sterling I could just get a list of all these amazing talented broadcasters that existed in the times of radio and early TV R. Murrow of course so was a popular journalist in fact they have an Edward R. Murrow award they give you the best broadcasters in the United States I've been up for two matter of fact and I think I'm up for another one I'm also for Marconi hopefully I tried radio hall of fame didn't make it this year sorry guys a lot of people about what's called and so your votes when the you guys voted I guess a lot of people voted the gap got a phone call from the hall of fame deal with error Merle was this if if many of you don't know they did a movie about a mile back he was a cigarette smoking news com here going to be any light up a cigarette and say good night and good luck and how he ended his shows he was you know back in the nineteen forties and nineteen fifties he loved to make news reporting kinda like a sound track it was a dramatic kind of you know visual style with his voice and with what he put together and the thing about Merle was that he wasn't afraid to not only take on politics in fact he was accused of being a communist at one time he was a he was not afraid to take on political stories but then again you would not be afraid to take a look at stories are being considered paranormal unbelievable in fact three years after the famous can of Arnold's sighting of UFOs over the cascades of Washington Edward R. Murrow engaged in an interview with Kenneth Arnold was thirty eight he had an interview with him and he had this conversation about what he saw over the cascades in a in fact a lot of Kenneth Arnold's accounts in audio accounts and visual accounts we can thank Edward R. Murrow for the information we give bank look magazine for the information we can I mean back then it was a you know it it depends on how good you did a story if you did a great political story you brought in some great political intrigue having borough was more of an adversarial journalists anything else he was one that wanted to bring about thought okay was the idea of thinking is the idea of hate I'm gonna do a story today about something Eisenhower did or something Truman and I'll do a story about that visit you you won't mind if I just kind of walked away a bit and talk about this interesting citing that happened in a forest somewhere in hell I don't know maybe Saskatchewan I'm just saying he was that way some of the best broadcasters of the time were that way and so when I get people who often tell me they say well you know what have you oppose whatever paranormal we did a whole month and a half to two months of UFOs when I went to the contact in the desert thing where in their last boards stories or breaking about but maybe you oppose or something else so we're just immediately available to talk about in the eventually made their way into the mainstream just barely enough to get the attention of the entire country twenty five years we've been doing here our bill before me doing it here okay do it on the radio in fact our Bella I sort of the same time pretty much but I know where I was going I kind of stuck with the weird in the in the fantastic in the strange art was doing political any moved on to do something strange and we ended up being the first to unite the first shows ever be broadcast live on the internet continue so it was another show sightings with Jeff friends that was another job we have a rich history I'll bring you the information all the time we know what to bring on deck is our stories are concert and it's because of all of those who came before us your inspirations again with our Morrow of course Walter Cronkite nineteen sixty six Walter Cronkite course you know is the most trusted man in America he was quite of killer they say was like your uncle I remember Walter Cronkite I remember I loved watching rock Walter Cronkite Cronkite when I was kid when he was called the most trusted man in America hosts an hour long CBS special report called UFO friend or foe or fantasy in at the time the UFO craze viewed caller crazy the in the United States showed no sign of ebbing that it was just constant UFO story after you up for after your full story did some periodic waves of sightings for nearly twenty years basically after that we started seeing a number of crazy stuff going on including flying saucer colds and amateur groups's Ellis researchers we saw you know people like you know going out in the field that I've found a UFO or I'm looking for a bit it was just back van you know everybody want to jump on board and and and do something is kind of like how we have this surge of ghost hunters I don't we still do but he goes timing was kind of cool what two or three years ago now it's kinda subsided a bit and yet they're still good things to do with ghostwriting but yet you you know so it's kind of like you know that's what happened you oppose a lot of sightings in the forties and the fifties and the sixties we started hearing about abductions and of course Walter Cronkite along with Edward R. Murrow and others had to jump on board and and talk about this is Cronkite basically if you if you go back to you look at online it's it's an interesting video because he brought on at the time prominent experts such as Carl Sagan and I and I saw say get on the show I could believe it was him good looking like you now let's say you had that kind of like that the here do the Gene Simmons now has it of it but one that's like a helmet Alexander of reply to the H. that's how that's how Reagan had is here but it is he does look anything like that so Sagan comes on and he is there to mystify UFOs J. Allen Hynek course blue book guide we had his son on Paul Paul J. Allen Hynek was another astronomer who is on with Walter Cronkite scientific adviser to the Pentagon on going investigations with the blue book sign and what have you so after Cronkite was done with the science portion of the show he actually turned around the one to go and look for other possible explanations as to why they were all these UFOs being seen and it brought up the military and he said you know we may have some new military technology strain looked as strange looking aircraft he said it'd been treated by the budding aerospace industry for the airforce there was also other unknown crafty added probably being tested in secret so he wanted to give the old you know how it is where you say well I'm going to indulge in this story because I really like the story but but but I'll put a copy at in there everything is alleged and I don't know if I believe and I don't want you to think I believe but you need to think about it this Cronkite would save a lot show where you have it so you say the activity that's all it is that's the way it was Cronkite did the same thing the murder of dead and rob Morrow they both did say they wanted to to get the message out it's still be able to wake up the next day do a show about politics preview conspiracy theory about water cracked in involved in punk I didnt indulgent a conspiracy theory but I know tomorrow can tap danced away around it because of all the it was during the McCarthy era was the time he was on the air so as you know forties and the fifties in you know he was of the focus of attention for his bold reporting but no matter how Cronkite or borough or anyone else wants to come on the air in just basically say you ever closer this they're swamp gas to the balloons of the gods or whatever they are no matter how hard they push these these ideas public interest in UFOs has never really damned me several years after Walter Cronkite did his broadcast about UFOs force contracted with the university of Colorado to convene a distinguished panel of scientists on the subject so Cronkite here's the thing Cronkite was so important in the big mix of it all in fact Richard Hoagland we're good Cronkite Cronkite was so big in all of its Weatherby UFOs or space or what have you yeah the government sees one of the shows on CBS and I go you know we need you guys when you get together Colorado would you have a distinguished panel signs on the subject when you start talking about this we start thinking about what's going.

Xm Is a free software. Used by as much as fifty seven percent of the Internet email servers in over the past couple of weeks in it's been noted that a heavy amount of Xm servers are under attack by two separate hacker groups in potentially more in typical fashion. Anytime a new vulnerabilities is released. There is always a person or group that tries to exploit the vulnerability and a wild in this case on June fourth vulnerability exploits. Cb Two thousand nineteen one zero one. Four nine was a security flaw. That was publicly disclosed. The exploit is remote command execution exploit that allows for improper validation of the recipient address in the deliver underscore message function it estimated today that there are between five hundred thousand. Five point four million ex-emperor's currently installed across the Internet the attacks to date takeover unpacked systems. By way of a worm in the compromise. Host will then scan the Internet for other servers in attempt to infect them as well the infected servers to date have been configured as crypto currency. Minors some organizations have also reported that the attacks have created a back door into the Xm servers by downloading shell script that adds an SSh key to the account so how would one identify signatures of set attack. Well according to many organizations by way of twitter the first wave of attacks began on June. Ninth which makes sense. A couple of days after the vulnerability was first announced. According to those reporting the exploits. There are two command and control servers. One of which is known in one of which is reporting from the dark web and the exact location cannot be found for those of you. Listening to this I will include the known command and Control Server address within the show notes. The second type of attack is a little bit harder to identify but basically goes something like this. The attackers send an email with the local part of the message. Crafted to exploit the accent vulnerability using the are cpt underscore to field the XM will then execute the local part in their own user context when received the part of the envelope from will download the nefarious shell script and then executed since most Xm servers run as root any nefarious script is also runs route than it becomes. Thanks for shopping for fresh. Punish so if you think you've been infected by this Xm worm couple security recommendations that you have or that I would have for.
