That's all I'm saying Al or do it at like noon. You know I'd be good for that too here we are. Let's see what's happening with everyone as we do what's happened. Hey what's Eh amy. I'm coming over to you okay. So question by kids are nine and twelve. And I'm thinking about you know. They need to protect tech themselves. Sometimes so I'm just wondering if they're too young for pepper spray like to carry it in their back. Yeah Yeah Yeah they are. I don't yes out the twelve year old. She's almost thirteen. They they are. Because here's the thing they're going to experiment with it and do dumb things with it because their kids. Yeah Oh yeah. There is no way you seriously considered giving your nine. No I thought about it and it was a question. My husband was like no and I was like well. I'M GONNA take this to the show because they they know because I was like thank God for my daughter I think. Okay yeah in April. She's thirteen years old and I just worry about her sometimes and then being repaired and if they feel threatened like they have pepper spray in their backpack. But it's probably not even allowed at school. No get kicked out of school. The answer is no Oh and teach them how to use it okay. You're the mom you get to decide right but I'm going to say this that if you give them pepper spray they're gonNA WANNA use the pepper spray. It's going to be like a toy that they just have to play with a bag and a weapon. which is what that is is not a toy to to be? So I'm GONNA say no. But what are we supposed to do as parents them like a teaser. That'd be cool brass knuckles you. You know something a little to run call it at this point run gets help or worse case scenario. How to quickly defend yourself? Can I listen. Fighting itself for defense is not as overrated. The Way to fight for defense is one two run. Yeah it's if you have to defend yourself and it's like pizza I'm gonNA find it themselves. No no no one had to get out if they need to use force quickly. It's like wh- 'cause I you know. I have a a boxing coach a teacher and sometimes times. We'll do self defense stuff because guys with me sometimes not because I do anything because they're drunk and I'm like my girlfriend Liz. Do you think you'd what the crap so all we we work on is want to get out so it's a little tricks like that you can always teach them self defense stuff like all right if someone comes up to you you do it but no no pepper spray now. Unsolved cares just asking. Let's all favorites bracy. I I just think I mean you'll get they'll be safe. You've and you don't have to worry about them when they're walking down the street but you know what they're protected they're going to find their own is versus oppose. Okay Hey hey what's when I do my cereal power rankings goes is up there lycos but my number one on cereal is cinnamon toast. Crunch get to have a serial with no guilt whatsoever. My number one. How great does that sound? And if it's one of my food routes the ice cream course m favorite cereal cinnamon toast. And they're also having cinnamon toast crunch coffee creamer L.. I don't like coffee but when I do mostly have a little bit of coffee with a lot of creamer so again. This is right up my alley so I just thought I would share this. The bad news is basically nothing else. I know about this right now. But there will be cinnamon toast ice cream and cinnamon toast toffee creamer thinking in the meantime now that you've given people the craving they could just get some vanilla ice cream by some cinnamon toast crunch and they do that a- At least ice cream places that we're close to they they're like called crunch ins or whatever they are a what's the ask ask about to be rich. "It takes the asset that wasn't asset two hundred fourteen fifteen thousand dollars and converts it to an income stream because as a single person now mum can only have two thousand dollars in her name much lower. So that makes it go away brings it down to two and she gets a monthly check in that monthly check coupled with her social security will go to the nursing home. And then whatever the shortfall is it'll be a lien on the itty. Okay. But that's okay. Because there's no state recovery on the house. There's no estate recovery on the special needs trust. When the when the mother passes, right? That's all free and clear in that way, whatever's left on that annuity, we don't know it'll be a function of how long mom lives will be divided equally to the two kids. So that peace will be split in they'll be sharing that equally. Meanwhile, they're getting half the house each, and, you know, one three hundred thousand dollar account. So it's a pretty good balance. So definitely lots going on folks things can be done last minute. And and we can still get mom eligible for Medicaid should have done that. What is? Yeah. It's one hundred and fifty grand or so that they've spent on that private paying without any good advice. I think so you know, what folks get some good advice yourselves. Todd is put together a guide for the month of December tick tock last weekend. Folks, you got to pick up the phone and requested. It it will show you how to do both estate estate tax reduction and elimination at the same time that you are protecting assets from long-term care expenses. It's all about advance planning. Yes. Things can be done last minute. But don't rely on that because some of these wild cut exceptions Kim go away before you know, it before you're going to need.

"Gate fields the twenty nine after we opened the races San Antonio and Golden Gate fields on Wednesday. We're both gonna take the day off on Thursday. Then back at it because we'll be racing for Friday through New Year's day. So a big stretch of racing there and. A lot of good racing. If we kick off the new season next week will be handicapping. The fact that two year olds will no longer be too. After December thirty first there'll be three year olds and the best of those will be heading toward the Kentucky Derby trial. We also wanna remind you going out on opening day. And you're on the peninsula checked out the jockey club in San Mateo, and you can off track their wager their free parking open at ten now. We'll start off today show is we're gonna do Santa Anita and Golden Gate fields opening day since he took entry the other day. We're going to start out and go east to Johnny de good morning. Johnny. The heck are you? I'm doing well merry Christmas. How's the weather back east? Merry christmas. Few weather's much been wet. You know, it's been wet all I would say all summer into the fall. We're just getting a lot of rain, thankfully, no snow yet most places here in the east. But or are we add some snow earlier this year, but none recently? So that's good. But it's been it's been wet wet. All right. Well, it's gonna be exciting opening day come Wednesday at eleven thirty. I post they have three big stakes races on opening day. I imagine over the years you've been on hand at Santa Nita for opening day. You know day at Santa litas such an exciting time. You know, as you were alluding to earlier, the excuse me marketing promotion, they used to have what you open the day after Christmas. We always the answer Sandinista. And it's just you know, you've got a festive air going on excitement for the new season. Everybody starts fresh. Everybody starts tied from the trainer and jockey and owner and and the beautiful saying Gabriel mountains in the background and a clear. Racy and. It's just it's just one of the bench days. Our sport has offering that these stakes races also day. It adds a little something. There's something else that used to be great about opening day. At Santa Anita is always had a maybe race for two year olds when opening day at Santa Anita and everyone knew yields that race would be in the book and cake toward that race. What's the, you know, they're they're talented relates ready to start the new year? And that seemed to be always a loaded race and often times it would split into two divisions. So we produce some really talented horses because everyone pointed for it and see we do have a maiden race this year on the card. It is the fifth race. It's a six and a half furlongs and that guy Bob Baffert has one in here. Looks like he's at let's see where is it soars nine or scalper at seventy two with grading Van Dyke aboard looks like he's working a hole in the win. So Santa bunkum, oh always watching this race because not just faster, but there's other trainers suffered as a couple in here other trainers with Amy this race. So that's always fun to write that maiden race will feature the likes of Richard Baltas. Why by Hector Palma John sheriff's Bob Baffert, Peter and Jerry Hall indoor for has a first time starter, and then it's always interesting to see how Jerry does with his two year olds and that being Cogan CEO G A N Baffert uh will have all good. Of course, he has some two year olds that have already are on the urge future betting for the Kentucky Derby with their wins. Foreign as Irish reminding our listeners all two year olds become three on January first, and then we'll figure out between now and between then and the first Saturday in may who are the best to now now twos. It'll be the three year olds and on the derby trail. Yes. No, we're we're actually in the midst of. Although the man who's who setting records rewriting the record books over in the process, I should say rewriting a record book, and that's Bob Baffert trained last triple crown winners, and these loaded this year probably is. And and you know, he could just rewrite the record books as far as triple crown wins. He passed away Lucas for triple crown race wins. And and. I don't know Sam he just seems to be getting stronger. Yeah, they. On that card opening day. They'll be a big stakes race to start off about four or five stakes at day, and that'll be seven furlongs in. The LA brea is a great one three hundred thousand dollars for Phillies, and these are three year olds you got Wesley ward who seems to run. And have some really talented horses. He's runs over in Europe. He runs on the east coast runs on the west coast. And he's a former jockey Wesley ward. Yes. Was the I can't awhile ago. He's the coach award as a top apprentice in the country. Great guy had some Cup success a few years ago. And he's he's known for his work. Mostly with two year olds understand he's trying to make a bit of a transition to the older horses. Let's Philly's got got some speed you do the rail and here on seven eight that's never a real bargain. And again, we have to go through the favorite. Five trained by Bob Baffert? She's five for five Lifetime Teeth one for one of the distance. She's going to be tough to handle now. And they interesting John Velazquez on that happy like a fool, John recently celebrated his six thousand career win. That's an amazing number Johnny via the elder statesman in the in the east coast jockey's now him and Castellano to great writers. And they got a couple of young guys..

"Well. Yeah. Don't you already though? I don't know do you. I've I've never really easy to get married. Right. Try to get a divorce and you'll find out that contract is that there's a lot there. Remorse work before the u oh, you're doing the divorce work. They'll be standardized contracts. If this is something that ever happens. It's not the kids will never get that. But, but it's fun to talk about in the best case scenario, the two people who partner up really care about each other one each other to be happy and try their hardest to make each other happy. That's that's what you'd like. That's what you'd like to think is going on. Right. Well, I guess I mean, so no one understands an oath or promise anymore. What's the point of getting married, then what a joke? That's right. Says are less ninety-five says a temporary relationship contract has called dating. I didn't think anyone was going to buy it. But I think it's fun. The kids are like, you know, looking at marriage and saying that seemed like a bad deal. It seems like. Not allegra. Oh, this one's good. I like this. This is important everyone. A study at the university of Oregon found that opening your shades in the morning and leading some sunlight in can kill half of the bacteria trapped in household dust. I believe this. I believe that you should open your windows to. Yeah. Fling your windows open. Get your blinds up and they were thinking arose read every day. I do that some days because I look I get it. She's got a little newborn, but I get home. And I'm like get this house opened up like a cave in here. You gotta let that house breath. And they're saying it's actually killing bacteria just letting just letting the blinds open the light that there's certain bacteria that only can live in the dark a lot of the bacteria kills is linked to certain respiratory diseases as well. So it might even be more important you Tope and your blinds during flu season. Oh, interesting. I know it is interesting. How you like for me a lot of times, our our bedrooms stays closed up because I get up. I leave the bedroom. John gets up he lives in. Why would I open up the windows in here? I'm leaving. Oh, I don't do it. But I do it when I get home. I opened up the whole upstairs every day. I opened everything up to I think that my kids will be I want her to grow up in a house that has fresh air in it. Not like, right. Yes. Oh, great. The added bonus of the extra sunlight also can give you a boost of vitamin d and help you avoid seasonal affective disorder. Get some light in the blues. They're saying, you know, the blues feeling. Muhanna? The World Series starts tonight. Everyone game one Boston versus LA. You're gonna watch Sarah. I doubt it. I don't really sit and watch games which you're from Boston. Yeah. But it's probably starts late. And they need you today. They've been okay. Without me for the last twenty five years our tax numbers, eight hundred four hundred thirty six nine seven. Here's a couple. Let's see. A rod is worth four hundred eighty million. He can afford a measly one hundred K a month. Okay. That's a reason he should have to spend that money. Yeah. He's checking walkaway. Well, you'd think that wouldn't you? Yeah. But I guess, you know, your account will always tell you keep the money in your account as long as. You know, you get the interest rates get older, they need stuff. More stuff and more stuff. Right. You've got her a lump sum and she'll be back. Oh, I went through that money. I'm sure that there's a number of reasons some more as a matter of fact about why you don't just hand the money over like what if she doesn't live right ding bat because I would also be like, this is I don't wanna I don't wanna have to right. It you a check every month hurts my field. That's so sad. We were such good friends. We love each other. At one point. We were awesome. You made these two beautiful children as the look at each other and not be able to keep your hands off each other. And now look at us. So sad. Love. Make you kill ninety five. She doesn't pay taxes. The money was already taxed or may rod because the government never double tax. They don't tax you. When you earn it. When you save it when you spend it when you give it away. Yeah. The government's known for not taxing. It's considered income to her. She's like an employee of his time. I was the capital gains tax was being explained to them. Like, wait a minute. You're telling me I did well in a purchase and I'm getting. So you want me to stop? Yeah. Okay. That's weird. That's our government. Yep. Tax. They got a lot to do. Yes. It seems like most of it's just take taking my money. Oh, man. I read a story. This is a real quick one three hundred thousand dollars in coffee mugs for the air force. Did you see that story? Three hundred thousand like I pretty sure we could all round up an unused coffee mug or two at our house. Though, and they also break really easy and have to be replaced all the time. I am reading it. Just go on how many are retired three hundred thousand dollars look up the story. And then I'll do it for you. I didn't mean to talk about government waste. It's one of those where you look at it and go those things don't have anti gravity. They're just not worth it. All right. Coming up in the trash. Let me see. I have it right here. Oh italian. So I have you know, what? I am one of those horror movie lists, and this is from the last twenty years. It's in the best twenty all right again. The ring is not on this list. Like the scariest movie ever, and they don't have it on you. It's so stupid. So I'll tell you what stupid things they came up with..

"I don't know why we needed this report. I guess it makes us feel better. When they have actual numbers to back up the statement. Okay. I'll make the statement right now for you. Traffic has gotten way worse since everyone's picked up a side gig. As an Uber or lift driver traffic in San Francisco is almost unbearable since lift an Uber have become every third car, by the way. If we're on a new Berlin. Thank you. Being on in your car. It's just that traffic in San Francisco has become unbearable. Thanks to Uber and lift drivers being every third car, right and going really slowly looking for that person that they're going to pick. Double parking and never pulling over when they could a new report from the San Francisco county transportation authority attributes the majority of traffic increase in San Francisco from twenty ten to twenty sixteen to Uber and lift back to dispute the findings say he's not uh us Amazon prime delivery vehicles. Didn't the Amazon prime delivering all damn day. Well, I don't think. So that's part of it too. All of it put together, I don't know which way to go to get out of town anymore. If they close the lane over on embark Adere. Yeah. They did it the other day. And I just went I'm going to be here. We're an hour before I get to the freeway, and I'm I'm truly a ten minute drive, and it was an hour. Yeah. Because they should Elaine down and had everybody bottle-necking into the one lane to get to third or whatever. Yeah. It's it can be a real nightmare. They go on to report that San Francisco's public transit is over capacity. Right. So that they don't have enough ferry. Even Bart people are saying you might have to wait through a Bart train passing to get an empty spot. Like, actually let one go get on. Right. And even they're not enough Bart parking near people people are getting to the Bart parking lot hours before they have to get on a train. Yeah. It looks like there's going to be a ballot initiative next year, which will increase. The tax for Bart and lift riders that will go to public transport. So that might be hopefully one way to fund public transportation increases are obviously needed. I certainly wouldn't take Cal train or Bart whatever's offered from San Jose all the way into the city if they did it soon enough. Early enough. So great hop on a bus or a train. They don't run it. There's a ton of cars on the road. It's increasing earlier in earlier all the time. So I don't know why they well. I do know why. Because they don't have the money, but they should consider offering earlier trains for people because we'll do it. Yeah. I'd be happy to. So last night, the mega millions was unbelievable. The amount up for grabs was. Six hundred something million dollars. It looks like because only one person one with a five out of six winning numbers. And it was actually sold here in San Francisco. Safeway, didn't you? Did you buy your ticket at the marina, Safeway? I by leading by any tickets. So what do you live up? Six numbers. Got one point nine million bucks. Boy, that's a good five or six, and we only got thirteen thousand b in ours is because we get the Powerball or we didn't get the power. Well. Did we do Powerball and this is mega millions? I think we got four numbers and the Powerball so we didn't get five five numbers and no Powerball. You would we would've gotten three hundred thousand for a good solid five minutes that we at one three hundred thousand dollars of us turns out no thirteen thousand dollars, but someone in the bay area just one one point nine million. So good is that a big enough pay that they're like, oh, you have to spread that over twenty years, and then they reduce it for a lump sum. And of course, you're paying taxes. So they're looking at more like, you know, half a million, which is also still great. And I would offer that they would have to be a million wouldn't it. Well, if know the lump sum if you take the lump sum by like half, and then you pay taxes, and that's like half. It really gets. You don't they're still five hundred thousand after tax. That's your money. Yes. I'm more than it had on Monday. Yeah. Hey, oh my God..

Eclipse Bank is done a fifty thousand dollar pledge. Oh, cool. I mean, we're we're just coming along. So yeah, that's awesome. I have to tell you something. I can't disappoint a nine year old girl got a phone call or an Email woman met me at the office. My daughter wants to meet you my daughter wants to meet you heard it on the Leland Conway show about the earth fund. And this Don year old child did a bake sale raised two hundred dollars, and it's because of you, and she came they drove in from Lexington. And I met her in so Eva, you're an amazing child in Lenny's Fant Tiffin tastic mother teaching. So I mean, obviously, it's because of great parents who have child with a great heart. That's what that's about. We we need more compassion out there in teaching children about this type of thing. So you guys obviously take in animals that have been severely abused. And you have we've got several victory stories. I know le- Leland the dog was actually a great victory story. What's happening right now. Several in the hospital. I'll tell you about one one one this dog he looked like seriously everyone thought it was a bear a bear cub in the middle of the road. It was he was in horrendous shape, and we named him Balu after the jungle Andaluz seriously when someone got to him he he collapsed, and he L show you the picture in a minute. He was almost delay. You know when we got him. Yeah. And he looked dead. Mange every single thing you can imagine and Balu still looks a little rough because of the major sarcastic. But he is standing he is walking. He is wagging. His tail was sixty two pounds with a body skill of too. So you can imagine how thin he is. He's a new Newfoundland. So. He's got a lot to grow. He may be stunted from the lack of nutritious left him in the road. He had not been cared for for ever. He was mad at feces urine as bad as you can get seriously his eyes were fixed. He was checking out his spirit was broken and day by day. We're seeing light. I mean, he gets excited. He played with a toy. It's just magical magical, and I love what you do. Well, we love what we do to in a in a very I feel like I feel like God created animals to be man's companion. And so there's just something wells up inside of me when I hear about people that are cruel or bad to them because they're they are there. There's a special connection. I love all animals, but there is a special connection between canine. Yeah. And homo sapiens. There is a special connection. And I think it's it's because we've been breeding them to be our companion for so long. And they depend on us. I think there. Yeah. I feel the same way. I mean, they. And many of them are just pure love. And I think many of them are old souls. You know, you can just tell ROY told my wife the other day. I was like I think God created dogs to remind us of unconditional love that whole concept. I would agree with that. When I come home at night. It doesn't matter. How much I've generated a lot of hate mail at? I hate Leila. Dot com. My dogs think it's the greatest thing in the world. When I walk into just love that it is amazing in it. And we have the capacity to help so many. And I might add we don't we don't being a nonprofit. We don't talk about Canada candidates. But the time to vote is now in your show goes all over please check to to the people standing where they stand on animal views, I cannot stress this enough because in these role counties some of them not all of them because I'm not gonna talk, you know, I'm not talking about one individual. But some of these people that are in office. Now, some are the reason why we can't move any further on lost protect animals and animal laws and children's law children in the homes of these animals being abused. And that is one hundred percent with you do something like that to an animal, you'll do it to human being gotta run real quick. How can people donate to you? Well, follow us on face. Facebook the arrow fan Goto the arrow fan dot org. We have to events tomorrow. The at the blind squirrel and at garden gate and just a thanks to all for supporting us in considering us. Awesome. Thank you. Good to see you Rebecca Gracie next time. All right, NewsRadio eight forty W H A S. We continue. I've.
