"Can you smell the freshly cut grass? I thought. I didn't know where that sentence was no low leader. Tanqueray and good morning Are you metaphorically smelling the freshly cut grass I mean I. Guess, Yeah, the one thing that's nice about starting in July is you don't have to worry about snow outs at the end of March and early April, which sometimes as well, that's just. That's just when you know your teams in Minnesota, and it's really good, and then they try to stretch. The world series passed a doctor foul. She says and be what some people want to do. And it's snowing, and then we got else. It is interesting that like a month ago two months ago I guess when they were first talking about. How can we restart this with a late season? The talk was we'll. We'll just push the playoffs into November December. You'll play financial site about that, but the reason that went out the window is. The you know Fox are one TBS. All the places that broadcast games that we don't want baseball playoff games in November and December. We got we got better stuff to broadcast. The S would say that I mean what is good about the freaking. Andy Griffith show just seventy years old, but I think were baseball once. Football season is full, ongoing Oh, and once basketball's also you know in the playoff mix playoff baseball doesn't dominate the ratings to begin with and so. They basically told that the television executives told Major League Baseball. You know you can maybe pushing a little bit, but we want this thing to be Tober. We don't want it November December. Yeah, so I. Think once that happens. You can kind of work backwards from there, and that's what. You know and and you talk about the baseball postseason ratings, or the I mean I can already see the snarky tweets sands explanation now the this you know how much to society want the NFL back. This nationally televised preseason game right in front of the regular season drew as many almost as many or more eyeballs on NBC as whatever nationally televised. Playoff a world series game, and then I'm like looking at him going okay, what's the point I mean the point the army, so so we need more tweets here that that's another reason. The narrowcasting leader at times sucks. You can go ahead and splash like that. That's cool man. Okay well. What are we getting at here? You? Are you saying baseball's dead? Are you saying relegated to pay per view Are you saying you're an idiot? If you like it I mean what what what are we saying here? But it is just took the low hanging fruit now. GIMME A meal. It is weird that like there is a sense of. Most people probably attach themselves to one sport over other sports, so people think of themselves I'm a football guy. I'm a soccer game or whatever, and there's like this weird sense of pride, especially with football where it's like yeah I, mean football dominates you know. The dominates radio ratings dominates television ratings. Yeah, but yeah for me. It's like well..

"I all of the Aurora hospitals it was constant combined with call but is sixty four sixty four people in the hospital and that a tire change and the total number of people hospitalized in the entire state all hospitals combine with cold it is now down to two forty four that is a ten week low and the numbers have plummeted just for the last several days these quick reverse and I've been saying all along that anybody who tries to make an accurate one hundred percent certain forecast about the future they just guessing because we don't know what we can however do is obviously a value wait what is happening and what is happening now is that we have bad since the middle of April I'm a long term flat line trend in the United States where the number of positive new cases and the number of hospitalizations has gone down but not a lot it is been a long long long and slow downward slope slow almost flat in other words we had a spike edit edit but the thing has not gone away in Wisconsin right now we are now seeing though for the first time since the spike ended another to Clyde what is to me news worthy about this the cladding was cod city is it coincides with the period at which we had mass violation of the guidance and social distancing not only to come after the locked out orders ended virtually everywhere we are now a full two and a half weeks into the protests that occurred all over the state of Wisconsin with regard to George Floyd the biggest protest of all were the ones that occurred two and a half weeks ago that first that last weekend it in may that was the period in which we had the big protests outside the police to secure but watching the looting occurred that Friday night in Milwaukee and so I then decided to spread all over the state they were being held in Green Bay at center what we've been told is it's often fourteen days between exposure getting really sick I don't know if that's going to play out all the way through but we've heard that we're better than fourteen days said now we might get a spike in five days these protests have ahead they're going to hide it on an on an odd there's no side to me that they're having it all the violence appears to have ended in Madison we haven't had many cases of looting in Milwaukee but they're still protest they're still close contact they're still violation of all the social distancing itself what in the meantime side of Milwaukee and Madison virtually everybody in the state is open almost all the restaurants are open well you can't go to sporting events church attendance is restricted in somewhat we are returning to at least some sense of people mixing with one another again rather than causing a spike as many predicted in Wisconsin there's been no spike we keep going down I don't know if that will continue what I do know is that it is happening and no one will tell you about it if you're wondering where the hospitalization numbers that bad really ever since the spike in Wisconsin we've been for fifty or lower and we spent a lot of time in the mid to upper threes as we moved all the way through the month of may to now be in the tubes to forty four state wide down by the way just forty in three days and down from the three hundred last week again maybe it maybe it's just a blip but that blip downward if that's all that is occurred in coinciding with the mass violation of several locked out orders with all of the people that were going out and getting involved in those protests which those those first few days were very very large not yet maybe people were at the protest some people got sick they keep protesting expose other people as time goes along you get fourteen days I would say from a week ago that other which seven days and now may be the numbers will spike it baby these protesters are causing a greater cause a spike in called it but so far they have not just the opposite has occurred again which would seem to imply that may that blacked out social distancing all of this stuff doesn't move the needle one way or another I'm the coronavirus the most risky behavior we have seen anywhere in the United States since this thing started has been the protests no social distancing people gather again mass total body contact people on top of one another six seven eight people at a car all the rules that we have been given broken so if those do not result in spite of the states that we're seeing spike said are not states that have seen mass amounts to protest thing and we don't see lots of people who protest it suddenly testing positive for the corona virus it would certainly indicate to me that all the rules that we have been given about social distancing are irrelevant and unnecessary which may be why the media is only reporting the areas in the United States that are seeing spikes upward vice president pence is pointing out that we have no second wave going out of the United States it simply doesn't exist when the media is reporting spikes their report it's as simple as this I imagine we had baseball in the United States and imagine last night the twins hit four home runs and the brewers in the cubs hit no home runs a baseball game on Saturday despite it all brides Leslie no one TBS spike a bunch other teams that actually I.

Hey, it's pancake makeup for my work. Questions pancake would like I assume that's not separate pancakes. It's just like a mug of pancake right pancakes when you're makers. If you look at the box there is a stack of three miniature pancakes next to the mode of the box wasn't live part of your balanced breakfast. Looking all the boxes here. Here's the thing is going to blow your mind, I don't want to spoil the pancake one because I've already had it. But there is there's this particular aspect of the pancake one that will really really puts it over the top in terms of grossness. So this is something from the Dunkin Hines corporation. Dodgers and brewers played until granted and one extra innings about two twenty in the AM eastern time. Major league baseball really has to reevaluate these start times in the postseason because today just made absolutely no sense yesterday. Made no sense today. Didn't even make any sense with the dodgers playing a game two o'clock in the afternoon on a Wednesday. That was dumb eight five five three two three four NBC. It's eight five five three two three four six two two. I'm Scott Seidenberg overtime here. NBC sports radio and NBC sports radio dot com about five minutes or so before I pitch, and there was barely anybody in Dodger Stadium and then through as the game progressed the shadows became impactful on the batteries. It was to play that game starting at two o'clock in the afternoon in LA. Very dumb on major league baseball spark yesterday. They decided to go with the Astros and Red Sox five nine first pitch. Dodgers and brewers ninety nine eastern time. First pitch and it kinda worked out because the dodgers and brewers Ron west coast. But still the fact that that game went extras didn't end until two o'clock in the morning. So what ended close to midnight by the time. These guys gotta the ballpark. It was probably one one thirty in the morning, maybe even later and they had to be back at the ballpark for a two o'clock. First pitch just made no sense on the part of major league baseball. Absolutely, no sense. How do you schedule the team playing the night before to play the game? The next day. That's just bad scheduling by major league baseball in here. You have the dodge excuse me, the Astros and the Red Sox starting at least it was eight thirty nine they tried to bump it up a little bit. But. Why couldn't this game start at seven? You're so worried about the ratings the TV networks have all the impact on it that TBS and NFS one half to have their say. TBS says we want it in primetime. We it has to be in the prime time window. We're starting after eight o'clock. I just don't get it. It would never happen in any other sport wouldn't happen in the NFL, certainly when they control the television networks. But f s one TBS they they have their way with major league baseball. They say we want to start at a certain time. And that's why it starts at a certain time. That's why its own nine thirty nine. These weird start times, you know, instead of just like a regular eight o'clock eight ten whatever it is. Because the built in network time at that's part of the postseason that bothers me a lot is the TV schedule, but some interesting drama here in the major league baseball postseason and in the National League championship series Craig counsel, tried to get real cute, and I actually loved it. A lot of people criticized him if you didn't watch the game or you didn't hear anything about it. Wade Miley was the scheduled starter for game five for the brewers against the dodgers. He walks Cody Bellinger on five pitches and then gets removed from the game. The brewers don't have a lot of starting pitching. You know, they have a stellar bullpen. And that's what Craig counsel likes. He likes to get through these games. With bullpens. It's become the new trend here in baseball. Right. Bullpen. So Miley starts the game gets removed after one batter. And I actually thought it was genius. That's out earlier at Scott's on air Craig counsel out here playing chess. Well, everyone else is playing checkers because by nounce Wade Miley as the starting pitcher Dave Roberts throughout their a primarily right hand dominant lineup. He had to lefties in as opposed to in earlier in the series when Miley pitched and every single battery was a righty he kept to left these in the lineup here on Wednesday. But still had seven out of the nine batters as right handed batters. So my Leah lefty gets announces the starter gets removed after one batter. And then you bring in the right handed pitcher Brandon Woodruff to pitch to the right handed lineup. Now, he gave you life, which is what you wanted out of Miley or anybody because the bullpen had to work yesterday in an extra inning affair. He goes five and a third innings, which is a long outing for him gives up to run strikes out eight and five or five and two thirds to runs strikes out eight pretty decent effort. The only problem is the guy that he was facing was dominant. Clayton Kershaw who has had his ups and downs in postseason. He was as good as you can ask for as good as you can ask for he allowed one run on three hits. He struck out nine batters in seven innings and get this retired. The final thirteen guys he faced LA went on to beat the brewers five two. They take a three games to two series lead. Now one win away from going back to the World Series something Clayton Kershaw talked about after the game. You know, I think. Like, you said it wasn't as easy. Maybe as last year to get to this point and realise got some work to do to finish it off the back. But. Yeah. If you were told us in spring training, we'd have a chance to go back to the World Series one game. Go we we definitely have taken that. I think so it doesn't really matter. How you get here, but thankful that we are here now for sure and as far as Craig counsel strategy, the this was his plan all along and Miley knew this as well Miley went through his press conference the other day the day before the start which is what happens in the postseason, and he tried to be as Vegas possible. Not trying to deceive anybody but just not giving anything away because he knew that he is the scheduled starter for game six and that is what Craig counsel talked about after the game today. Yeah. Yeah. That's what we were going to do all along. Wait is going to pitch game six. You know, we if we went down three one we were considering having weighed pitch this game. But. This is this is kind of what we were decided we were going to do. Okay. So now, you have Wade Miley the starter in game six the dodgers are going to go with Jin Ryu. The game is in Milwaukee Brewers will have little home advantage. Plus the brewers will have a little bit of a bonus in the bullpen because the guys that did not pitch here in this game. Plus they have the off day built in. So on Friday. You will go to. You know, you'll go to him. And then, you know, you'll go to Miley. I'm watching the Red Sox here. Okay. All right. I was I was very confused, Nick. I'm not sure if you're watching Red Sox Astros here this game coming to an end. So we all know Craig Kimball has had its struggles. Right. And he allowed to base runners here. He allowed one run in the eighth inning. They brought him in and gave he allowed one run in the eighth and he's got to is on to outside believe now in the ninth inning. And. Galaxy core came out to the mound. He had David price warming up in the bullpen, and I saw kimbrel tossed the ball like a way. And I thought he was like tossing the ball because he was like upset that Cora was taking him out for the final out. And so he tossed the ball instead of handing it to his manager. But no he was tossing it to the unpire to get a new baseball. I thought we were going to have a whole nother story on our hands with Greg. And his struggles. And speaking of his struggles, and he's not out of the woods right now. Astros have an opportunity here. But I read tweeted a tweet from Jayson stark earlier that Craig kimbrel in four games. This postseason has been scored on in all four games in his entire career. Nine seasons. Five hundred and forty two games. He has never been scored on four games in a row. Never in nine seasons. This postseason four games. He's been scored on in all four everyone gets a little tighter in the postseason eight five five three two three or four NBC. It's eight five five three two three four six two two. It's over time. He on NBC sports radio. And then be sports radio dot com. All loans, and you're listening to NBC sports radio..

"Courtesy of custody goes. The good folks at custody goes tequila. George Clooney, and really Gerber and Melman Lee and all the guys. So we thank you for that. All right. It's calls in Franken. Verona what's up Frank? I'm tired of hearing Manfred talk about growing the game. And that starting playoff games burying them on a Fox Sports one TBS at nine pm a complete and utter joke. The game is another issue too. But some people don't even get Fox Sports one. How league championship series starting at nine ten on Fox Sports one? I don't know you'd have to this day and age you'd have to give me clearance numbers that show me. That's true. Because I don't know that it's true. So I do agree with you that it is still a little bit berry in the game. But. Shortened name three minutes. This this go forget, well, that's a different story. But the TV part of it is Dave gone away network. TV's don't. It doesn't exist anymore as you know. You have a lot more people. That's not true. Frank. It's not true. I mean, listen, they would not do that to their game in the Orientals. Yes. If it was true. It's really not true anymore. Morte on FOX. They will be eventually they might be on Amazon before you know, it. I mean the day is over the networks on ninety even pulling forty percent of the audience anymore. The day is done everybody, watches everything. Do you know how many people have net flicks? One hundred thirty eight million. I mean, come on you're in a different world now. So that sporting events don't Mike. Thank arguments gone. That argument you're making about channels is gone. You'll live in a little bit like a dinosaur arguments gone now the speed of the game so differently. I. Well, you know what? Then you live with some dinosaurs. I'm sorry because the date now games are everywhere. You had a box of today who sold his boxing rights to a streaming company for three hundred and twenty five million dollars a boxer. Three hundred twenty five million to a streaming company. You're gonna see a day when everyone of these games are gonna streamed on your phone the world of technology is completely changing that fight is an old one. There's some people who say, I don't even know what channel Fox Sports one is. Yes. And they want it on channel five all they want it on channel four I understand that. But that person is not the person they are looking for anymore. That person's older because the other guys they know where to find the games, they know how to find the games if they're looking for him. So if that was true, and you were really dramatically changing, you're reading the reason why Super Bowl is not on a channel. Like that is congress won't allow it. They don't congress will not allow that stuff to be on anything that's considered pay-tv in any way the World Series the Super Bowl to this day. You cannot put the Super Bowl or the World Series on pay TV. So even if there's anywhere where Fox Sports. Okay is a pay channel on any tear in this country. And if there's just one place where it's not basic, and it's a tier channel. It will and even even being on cable itself. It will not be on. It will not always the biggest game. It will not host the biggest game. Because of the fact that they will not allow it on. They will not allow it on on not yet. Now, you're seeing the AFC. DNS? Yes there and this saying, hey, we get as many people watching that as we look at the NCAA tournament. Now. It's on TRU TV it's on. It's on four channels at once. It's on TRU TV TBS. Doesn't affect it. Anyway. So that day is over because everybody has nine kazillion channels. That's all you. I know this this next yesterday. We did yesterday. They did subs. Because you know, I I I'm going to start calling for wildlife. So as million people zillions of people, but they had just they. So they talked about how many subs they now adding subs more in India now than they are in the United States pretty much saturated the United States, they don't have sports, but they have one hundred thirty eight million subscribers. Aryan west orange was a very high Mike doing. What? Take my fault. From china. I do. I for me just watching it and watching the bike, and I know with my team at you got to me. Breath. And you're back at the end of the summer. You know, the decision not to draft a quarterback, I really feel strongly. The kind of move away. I don't think that would have been wrong. I said at the time. When about was the whole time was I didn't want ally. On the team though. I wanted him gone. I want. I want to Donald to start. If Donald now might not have been Donald it might have been somebody else. I wanted to guy to start. I don't believe in those kids sitting I think they should start right with that. Because even if you wanted five I think if you have to franchise quarterback avocados, whoever. Watchable to me. Of course. You're building something. You're right, right. That's right. One in five with Eli is not constructive. I understand that. Barkley barkley. Listen 'cause you know, you still have to go through that very soon. The new quarterback. And listen, I know where he is right now. I don't know how the giants get to them. You know, maybe who knows maybe they trade the rights to Beckham next year for the rights to get the Alabama quarterback the next year who knows? But he's the guy. He's not coming out this year. He's not in this draft. He's the guy though, he's the next guy. Iran, Staten Island was about hey, what's happening. Mike, inter you're talking about things changing amazing. How defense is just disappear in the NFL. Here they wanted. I don't like the game that building. I don't I don't enjoy it. And I said this the other night IRA, I agree with you one hundred percent, and I just have to go quick because I have to get some spots. But. I don't enjoy the game where it seventy five yards and nobody touches the player. Okay. Then you come back, and it's down to feel down feel down the field. Touchdown and that it's sixty seven yards and nobody touches the play. I enjoy that. And never have. I I don't I mean, I don't mind offense earns. I don't I don't want all these broken plays for seventy yards and eighty yards and. One after another. I just and the offense in the league is for the most part now, obviously there's teams who have trouble scorn, most of them have big offensive line problems. But the rules and the way they're setting things up is clearly for the offense..
