"Happiest in studio with me, your favorite Joe digenova Victoria than Singh. On a day, a hundred and 64 years ago, when the Republican Party was established, which led to the abolition of slavery, thanks to the first Republican president called Lincoln, little public service announcement there, yes. The KKK was the armed wing of the Democrat party and the first Republican president was the great emancipator. I think it is upper side for us to discuss some Republican responses to the news of the last 72 hours, saying that for some reason, one side of the political divide should surrender their rights to protests. You know if they never said Black Lives Matter, I don't think you should go out there and protest. After George Floyd. But remember, this was in the middle of the pandemic. And everyone was told to stay home. Stay home, don't go out. And don't congregate when groups. Yes. And all of a sudden, after George Floyd, a whole bunch. I mean, like a hundred and some doctors, quote unquote, wrote this public statement saying, well, we said not to go out, but there are some causes that are more social. That are more important. Don't let this be an okay for you to go out and protest being locked up. And basically they said that in the public letter, it was pathetic.

Why the Deep State Needs an Indictment Now More Than Ever

"Now that the 2024 campaign season is starting in earnest and Trump's poll numbers improve with each passing day, the organism known as the deep state has been forced to react to protect itself. And indictment now would trigger all sorts of legal maneuvering that could delay a trial until a day after the 2024 election. But who knows what their plan is? With multiple investigations into multiple nothing burgers, it's pretty safe to say that the deep state is leaning hard on legal tactics. On one side of America's forefront of laws, we have Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg. On the other, we have special counsel Jack Smith. And somewhere in the middle, we have congressional Democrats led by Jamie Raskin. Between the three of these legal loggers, the forest of laws should be completely clear by midsummer of 2024, if not sooner. But you can't deny that Thomas more is right. Embracing this any means necessary approach to law is a bad idea. And not just for Trump and his supporters, many Democrats are too caught up in their enthusiasm. It really looks like they are completely unaware of the unintended consequences here. They need to slow down and ask themselves if they really want to live in this new legal landscape. Republicans who have not spoken up about this should also ask themselves, is this the kind of country that I want to live in, where political opponents are jailed and where basically in a third world country? Think about all the ways in which the law has already been twisted out of all recognition.

We Are All Entitled to Our Opinions

"The things that I want to talk about is where we are right now. And I'm very concerned. I want to be honest. I'm not concerned that our country is on its last leg. I'm not concerned that, you know, all of a sudden America is not going to be American. I am concerned though that we sometimes forget who we are. And I'm sometimes I'm really concerned that we forget that we're a nation that was founded, you know, basically out of our model, our creed, however you want to put it out of many one. And look, when you understand that concept, in a political election cycle, I'm going to be a conservative Republican. That's who I am. You might be listening to this podcast and you're a Liberal Democrat. That's who you are. Fine. But we're all under the umbrella being Americans. And one of the things that actually brings us together as Americans in this environment is that we have to take our vision of our country seriously and find solutions that work. Now, some years in some administrations, we're going to think that from one side of the fence, we're going to think they don't work. And the other time, it's going to switch over and the other side is going to think the other side doesn't work. But one of the things that we've got to come together is that we're all entitled to have different opinions. And it's simply having an opinion is not reason to ban you banish you or blacklist you if you would. And

China's Xi to meet Putin as Beijing seeks bolder global role

"China's president plans to visit Moscow next week, a trip that will both boost Vladimir Putin and highlight Beijing's global ambitions. It's a big shot in the arm for Putin with his troops bogged down in Ukraine. His spokesman says Putin will host Xi Jinping for dinner Monday. China has tried to project itself as a neutral in the Ukraine war, though it's refused to condemn Russia's invasion, which it claims NATO provoked. The U.S. says it will oppose any bid by Xi to propose a ceasefire while in Moscow. Effectively, the ratification of Russian conquest. National Security Council spokesman John Kirby is urging Xi to also speak with Ukrainian leader volodymyr zelensky to avoid any one sided proposals. Sagar Meghani, Washington.

Tempers Flare at School Board Meeting for Banning Christian Teachers

"Tonight, after two dueling rallies started outside. Those groups were going back and forth after the district decided last month to reject student teachers from a Christian university because of their biblical values. Fox ten Stephanie Bennet joins us live outside that meeting with the latest, Stephanie. Yeah, good evening guys, both groups very heated tonight. The crowds going down a little bit but no stopping this board meeting any time soon they actually have a screen here on a TV truck, if you will, that is projecting the board meeting inside. Now, one side of fighting for the board members rights in supporting the decision to get rid of the partnership and supporting LGBTQ students and staff while the other side was fighting for the Christian university students, extra security is on hand tonight to keep everything calm. Since our last board meeting, she has faced increased death threats, racial attacks and homophobic harassment. But dogs are perpetuating bullying, they are perpetuating hatred. Board members of the Washington elementary school district have received death threats since their unanimous decision last month to cut ties with the Arizona Christian university. Over the perceived threat that the college students of biblical value system poses to LGBTQ students. For the last 11 years, student teachers from the university have worked in the school district, helping gain invaluable work experience while also alleviating the growing teacher shortage. An institution has policies that are openly negative and I will not sit here as a member of the community and let our children be subjected to that. District officials recommended renewing the partnership at the board members three of which identify as members of the LGBTQ community said that having student teachers with biblical values in the state's largest elementary school district is too dangerous. Dozens packed into tonight's board meeting with hundreds waiting in rallying outside from both sides.

A Donald Trump, Kari Lake Ticket?

"Donald Trump considers Carrie Lake running as his VP. I think that's the best. And let me just say this, right? There's two sides to this conversation that's two sides to my idea of this conversation. The one side is that who would I want? I want the baddest, the most conservative, boldest individuals running as president and vice president. Not only other side of it is that, you know, will it be too much of a polarizing ticket for these other people that just haven't caught up to speed with what's really going on in the world. So I think it's a tremendous opportunity for the red the red meat for the base because Carrie Lake is just as bold just as courageous as Donald Trump and I think that if you talk about somebody that take no prisoners, somebody that getting your face that'll take down a deep state, then Donald Trump on the male side is the dominant one and Carrie Lake on the female side is the dominant one. I really think that Carrie Lake could run for president and have a competitive chance over some of the other women that are in the race.

On this week's AP Religion Roundup, a sacred, sinking town in India faces a grim future.

"Hello. For months, residents in joshima, a holy town burrowed high in India's Himalayan mountains, have seen their homes slowly sink. Local officials say various agencies are conducting surveys to determine what caused the damage. But other authorities have ignored expert warnings. Moving forward with costly projects in the region. Now, deep cracks have emerged in over 860 homes. Subsiding earth caused roads to split with crevices and multi storied hotels to slump to one side. Authorities declared it a disaster zone and came in on bulldozers, raising whole parts of a town that had become lopsided. A pretty steady local temple says it's been a religious capital of Hinduism for more than 2000 years. So it must be protected. The Lakshmi nari and temple is in one of the only parts of the village still standing. Accord last year directed authorities to stop dumping waste near the historic temple, which was once the last rest stop for devotees on a religious pilgrimage. I'm Walter ratliff

Is Decentralized Storage Like Mining? Bill Schreckenstein Explains

"Let's talk about the incentives that are what you just dropped. I'm thinking of it this way. There's this neutral network or building network at this point, and there's participants who want to store data. And then there's participants who are willing to give up capacity to store that data and you're basically have to have some sort of monetary transfer between the two parties and a decentralized way. And that's what filecoin, protocol labs, all you guys are building and enabling this to occur. Walk me through that a little bit from one side or the other you can choose. If I'm someone who wants to use or bring capacity to a network, what does it look like for me? That's a great question. So there are different actual views into this, right? So the first one would be, I'm just Joe user. I have some data I want to store it. I have the option to go out and buy filecoin and invoke my own deals as a user, and as long as you have SPs and willing to make the deals, you can make them. It's one to one. So as a participant, I have that ability. Or there are solutions with a network. I've already mentioned estuary, which is one I can apply for an API key. I get a terabyte of free storage. I can start uploading data. There's also what three dot storage, NFT storage. So there are other portals that you can use that leverage what we call our incentive programs. The next step would be as an end user if you want to participate in an incentive program. It's actually beneficial for you. But it's also beneficial for the SPs, and that's twofold. So if you come to the network and say, hey, I've got, let's say I've got this research data that I need to store. And you can fill plus application. And if it's approved, you have a wallet that's loaded with fill that allows you to make the deals with the SPs and store all this data. With a verified deal like that, your data is seen as more valuable. So the rewards for the SPs that store that data get a ten X reward versus just a straight one to one deal. There are SPs in our ecosystem that believe it or not, don't store a lot of data, they're just creating what we call blank or CC sectors where you're going through the ceiling process. We call it ceiling. The cryptographic hashing, but they'll go through the ceiling process and they're just storing blank sectors and accumulating fill at a one to one ratio. Whereas if it's a verified deal, it's ten to one.

Contextualizing Bitcoin Ordinals

"For today, we're digging back into the world of ordinals, where a major NFT player has just made a big move into the space. Before we get there, however, I want to contextualize ordinals just a little bit differently than I've seen in some other places. If you watch the Twitter discussion, you could be forgiven for thinking that ordinals were just some new front in a Bitcoin culture war, with ostensibly luddite maxis on the one side and would be usurper shit coiners on the other. There is a smidge of that. For the folks who have been banging on about Bitcoin culture fights from one side or another for the last few months, this obviously is a new front in that fight. However, I actually think that ordinals are part of a much more significant Bitcoin moment emerging and I use the word moment rather than narrative which longtime listeners know is probably my favorite word, very intentionally. The moment that's emerging is a Bitcoin builder's moment, in which more and more developers and entrepreneurs are deciding to build in and around the Bitcoin ecosystem specifically. The emergence of layer twos like lightning is a key part of that building. Taro is another protocol that has people thinking much bigger. There are also ecosystems like stacks which are offering different ways to build on Bitcoin. Now, not every Bitcoin builder is bought in on all of these various approaches to building on Bitcoin. Some in fact might even disagree heartily with how others are building on Bitcoin. But that doesn't change the fact that they're building, and building on anything tends to create positive feedback loops that lead to more building. People see others building in a specific way or on a specific protocol, and that reframes how they think about their own effort, which might make them more likely to do their own building, and then they become a builder who's building has the same type of nudge to other builders, and so on and so forth. Now what's interesting is that this hasn't yet really converged into a Bitcoin narrative per se. In the sense that you haven't seen big podcasts or Bitcoin writers or influencers say, hey, the narrative that's going to drive Bitcoin through the next cycle is the emergence of a whole new category of entrepreneurs who are adding functionality to a Bitcoin application layer.

Everyone I talked to says this from the second disgusting woke culture issue shoved down our throats to the Democrats traitors America last policies. We are and then it goes dot, dot, dot, Marjorie Taylor Greene sent out clarifying tweets afterwards, and I'm curious, because I do agree with her in part of this, and we'll talk about it. Congresswoman Greene, welcome to the program. Hi, Charlie. Thanks for having me on today. Always explain what you meant by the need for a national divorce. Well, it's actually a terrible thing to talk about, but you see, it's sort of like we're in a marriage, the left and the right, only one side of the marriage has no respect for the other. The left has no respect for the right anymore. The left, they have their different ideologies, their policies. Their beliefs that exist in regards to culture, religion, identity, politics is a major part of their beliefs. They even believe differently than us on how the economy should run the types of energy that we should all have to use, how hiring practices are done and corporations and businesses with environmental social governance. We can't be further apart these days. And everyone I know. And, you know, my world and my circle of Friends and influence is with regular people, Charlie. Alan Dershowitz Describes What Has Eroded in America

"Suppose has slipped such that we are capable of falling into something like a Salem witch trial or something that you hear about, people being accused in East Germany by their relatives. In other words, that has really not been part of our history as a country. What do you believe has been slipping or eroding such that this is possible? Well, I'm a little older than you, so I grew up during the McCarthy period. And I remember very vividly being Brooklyn college when the president of the college wouldn't allow communists who to speak on the campus or to teach. And I thought against it then I was a virulent anti communist. I hate communism. I think it's one of the great evils of the world. But I defended their right. And people who represented communists were trashed and were canceled and were seeing a repeat of this. The country has fallen into a tremendous divide, everything is one side or the other. There are no civil libertarians left. You're either on one side, you're on the other. I defend president Trump on the floor of the Senate, even though I voted against him twice, and I'm regarded as a facilitator of Trump the way Jerry mccarthyism, lawyers were regarded as facilitators. Larry David comes over to me on the show Mark and start screaming your despicable because of my representation of Trump and other things. This is all because I defended Donald Trump on the floor of the Senate.

Charlie Munger Calls for Crypto Ban in the U.S.

"On Groundhog Day, we have someone doubling down on their anti crypto stance and Adam is going to start us off with that. What do you got at him? Thanks, Zach. First up, a new opinion piece in The Wall Street Journal calling for a ban on cryptocurrencies is generating a lot of chatter this morning. It's authored by Charlie Munger, the ultra wealthy octogenarian vice chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, and a noted Bitcoin skeptic. In the piece, which is actually surprisingly short, munger describes cryptocurrencies as quote gambling contracts with a nearly 100% edge for the house. He then calls for a broad federal band saying in part quote, the government of China banned cryptocurrencies because it widely concluded that they would provide more harm than benefit. Before going on to cite a ban on the trading of new equities in 1700s England, which I found an interesting comparison. It's not a particularly nuanced article and notably towards the end, it suggests that after instituting a federal ban, the U.S. should quote thank the Chinese communist leader for a splendid example of common sense end quote. There's a decent amount to be said here even before we get into the rather polarized comments on the article. Jen, you want to start us off today? Sure. I love that you brought up all those quotes. It really wasn't a long article. I think when you go to The Wall Street Journal, it says it takes two minutes to listen to it, so it was very short. It had very little examples, and I have to say it was very one sided. That said, Charlie Munger, a very smart man, made billions in his life, but he doesn't like Bitcoin and we know that, right? I think it's really interesting and funny that he brings up China as the example that we should all follow in this hatred towards Bitcoin and crypto and fails to mention that China is actually leveraging the technology that powers all of this for their own benefit in their CBDC and NFT project. I know I saw Zack's hand go up, but before we get to use Zach, Adam, you brought up this gambling contract piece from the story and I have to read what came right before that. He said such a wretched excess has gone on because there is a gap in regulation, a cryptocurrency is not a currency, not a commodity, and not a security he then goes on to say, it is just a gambling contract. This man hates crypto, and I think that's okay. This is really funny that it was published as an op-ed in The Wall Street Journal given that it was so excited is my take on

A Primer on Ordinal Inscriptions, AKA Bitcoin NFTs

"All right guys, so for the last week or so, the Bitcoin world has been totally wrapped up in a debate around ordinal inscriptions. It's a sort of NFT native to Bitcoin that is bringing up a huge number of questions and debates. Some of those questions relate to technical aspects of Bitcoin stemming from taproot and SegWit updates. Some of those questions are about security and the fee market. Some of those questions are about decentralization and the viability of running nodes. Some of those questions are cultural questions of legitimate versus illegitimate uses of the blockchain. It is, in short, extremely interesting. And what I'm going to try to do today is give you the primer and the broad strokes of these various debates. Now, inevitably there is going to be too much for one show, but we'll do the best we can. So let's start with what the hell we're talking about. On January 20th, Bitcoin developer Casey rotter tweeted, inscriptions are finally ready for Bitcoin mainnet. Inscriptions are like NFTs, but are true digital artifacts to centralized immutable always on chain and native to Bitcoin. He expanded upon this in a blog post, writing, inscriptions or digital artifacts native to the Bitcoin blockchain. They're created by inscribing sats with content using ORD or ord, and can be viewed with the ordinals explorer. They do not require a separate token a sidechain or changing Bitcoin. Inscriptions are created by including content like an image text SVG or HTML in an inscription transaction. The content is included in the transaction witness, which normally contains signatures and other data proving that a transaction is authorized. When mind, the inscription is made on the first side of the first output of the transaction. Permanently an inexorably marking it distinguishing it from its fellows. It is no longer just a sat, it is an intertwined component of the long and confusing tale that is human art and culture.

She has been articulating her hatred of Israel, everything it stands for. Before she took office. I think the real shame is that the members of the congressional progressive caucus, 15% of them are Jewish themselves, continue to keep elevating her and Rashida to lead to these high profile leadership positions, despite the fact that they're so anti Israel, it's a crazy phenomenon. So what sort of work are you guys doing on Capitol Hill to root out these people and to expose them? What we're doing and you're speaking to someone who is a conservative view, I almost ran for the Ted deutch seat and here in Florida. But what we're doing is getting an actual letter rating, no different than the NRA, holding fact based, a letter rating to each sitting Jewish politician on what they are or are not doing to really fight anti semitism. And I could give you a quick example. 6 months ago, Rashida Tlaib makes a big proclamation. I'm sure you remember. This says, hey, if you don't believe that, is the real as an apartheid state like hydro. Then you guys shouldn't really be a progressive. Nadler out of one side of his mouth goes on Twitter and says, doesn't this crazy? I don't agree with you. The Democrats' Lack of Fiscal Responsibility

"Back to the Democrats lack of fiscal responsibility keep in mind since 1970, our fiddle government has been running deficits during every single fiscal year, except for what 1998 through 2001. But you know what? The effect of all those deficits on the cumulative budget shortfalls, it is a problem. And when you consider how it's contributing to the overall debt levels, we're now more than $31 trillion in debt. You got to ask yourself, how the heck are we going to pay our bills? I mean, you have to have enough tax revenue coming in, both to pay your bills on any given quarter or any given year. You also need enough tax revenue to help start paying down your overall debt load. But perhaps most importantly, you need some will. You need some understanding. Some appreciation for this issue from lawmakers themselves and you know what? At least on one side of the aisle, we ain't got it. I get a little fire enough about this because the total lack of responsibility really irritates me.

"one side" Discussed on Weekend Love Dose

"When you are less busy, okay, well yeah, I do. Your mind will always find a way to go back to think about that person. You find yourself thinking about even if you don't want to, you can't go through your mind, babe, you can't do that. So your mind will go back to thinking about that person. So not avoid that kind of situation, that kind of scenario, you have to find a way to keep yourself busy. By the way, to distract yourself. You can find a new hobby, if it's not a new hobby, you can, like, when in your skill, just find something to make yourself busy. So I don't have to think about that person and what you are lost. Because if you do that if your mind finds a way to contribute back to that person, you end up feeling that feeling disappointment and getting. Really, really looking. The pressure sets in one way or the other, all right? And that's what we're trying to avoid. Depression, we do this, sadness, anger. Life is short, you have to find a way to leave it happy and cool. All right? Now the 5th one 5th step is you have to surround yourself with people that love your loved ones, reach out to family and friends, you don't have to study or what happened you can tell a few friends who happened may be closed on us. You just need to be around people that you love. That's something bad with happened. You don't have to like, especially the details on the fact that the person you love, if it's your best friend or with someone else, all right? You don't have to give them the whole story. If you want to, you can actually be afraid. If you don't want you can just tell them that you need support in this time that you need support maybe for like two months or something you need to be around you need to feel the love and the care. So this is a very, very important what you need to distance yourself. Okay, I'm not seeing very, very important for almost all this means that all these steps are for the rights. But that's really what I like. The first one, I said, very important. The second one very, very important. And then this one, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very important. You have to distance yourself, of course, if you're in the same place with a person, you can sit and do that person. I use to the person on your regular every single fucking day. Every minute of your life, there is no way how you are going to get over that person. There's no way in hell you're going to get rid of those things that gets, how do I put it? It's just difficult on a regular day. So in order to just need to find a way to leave that environment for what you have to do starts yourself from that person, you need to leave that surrounding. I don't know how you do it, because maybe the best esteem your stats, you have to find a different side to stay. I don't know how you leave your apartment..

They didn't turn out to be effective until they found the scoundrel the crapping karen so back to covert so went through the stats earlier this hour. Mark fees in washington post today. If you're one of those people it's really zero so the only justification for making me wear a mask again is to protect other unvaccinated. People and i'm not sure that excuses good enough for me but to the kids angle of it because they announced yesterday that kids have to wear masks in school. Kids and teachers everyone. The school has to wear masks this year regardless of vaccination status till further notice as johns hopkins university professor. Marty mccarey points out in the wall street journal. Cdc data shows that more of more than six hundred thousand americans who died with covert. We've all heard that number. Six hundred thousand americans unfortunately have died. "The carrot of you don't have to wear a mask anymore has been removed so now there's no reason for those people wanna get vaccinated Do you ever wish you were still the white house reporter for cnn. So like yesterday. When they did a one eighty on the masks you can say hey. What the hell. I don't know that would be my for this air. At least definitely the messaging from the last from the media has been sort of incoherent when it comes to are they and to the vaccine. Well does it work or should we worried about the delta area. Should we be celebrating. Efficacy vaccines enough. That we don't need to worry about it. It's been very confusing and for anyone. Who is still wrestling with the decision of whether to get vaccinated. You know there isn't a lot of reliable message coming out of the government about what they should do. And what risks. There say no doubt sarah westwood political and investigative reporter of the washington examiner follow on twitter or just read the newspaper or whatever. Sir thanks for your time today. really appreciate it. thanks for having. yeah It's one thing for the The the administration to change its policy. Unmasking can happen. You know when the when the facts change. I change my mind. What do you do you know the famous winston churchill quoted i paraphrase that i got it wrong but it's more or less that but in in a couple of days to a one eighty on the masks as a for vaccinated people is. That's really undermining your authority. Sarah westwood there. So i've got some of the numbers getting back to the opinion piece in the washington post from mark and i thought he did a great job yesterday as soon as the announcement came up some of the numbers on children and the likelihood of your kids getting it or spreading it in the.

"Don't go to the city council meetings. We don't go to our school board meetings the things that we can actually control and things that we have very little input on. I've been to one city council meeting. I think in my entire life that i spoke at overall homelessness in my neighborhood i should go on. A regular basis. Same with scoreboard. Means we should get more involved because as you just laid out. It's at that local level that they're deciding what gets in your school right. And i think there's crt fight has sort of raised the level of awareness that i haven't seen about the importance of the school boards and you are seeing some of that activism takes the form of politics in that. Some parents are organizing recall efforts that's happening loud county virginia. Which is outside of dc. Where parents have organized this massive recall effort for several school board members to try to get them removed from their politics and now in texas in southlake texas which is sort of an affluent suburb. There was actually a fair amount of money that was thrown behind a some parents who challenge school board members on the basis of those never support for crt so you are starting to see that. Happen in isolated places and i think as local elections creep up and as we get into this next school year starting in the fall. You're gonna see a lot. More of that in parents realizing the importance of focusing on those elections. So i was looking at your twitter feed their sarah with an h and i saw you re tweeted an article and i don't know if you've written anything about this or you're just a more or less commenting on it. It was a new york times article from a while. Back where talked about We're stigmatizing children by labeling them as behind all these kids that haven't been in school of for a year and a half With regular learning and some schools are going to continue with the zoom learning. Where if you're a parent you got kids doing this morning you know. They aren't learning even close to normal level and And you re tweeted the this idea that it's traumatizing to school to children somehow to tell them that they're behind well. What else are we going to do. We going to ignore. It seems like a convenient way to avoid accountability for the learning losses that the schools and the teachers unions have inflicted on these kids by keeping the schools closed for so long. And there's just an overwhelming body of it that the benefits of having kids in the classroom outweigh any remaining risks to these children and yet we're seeing you know these nasty mandates being imposed on the schools. Which isn't necessarily detrimental to learning in itself but it certainly paves the way to have some of the commitment to full reopening rolled back. So i think that's why a lot of parents you know including myself. I aside started kindergarten this year. A little bit worried may not open us scheduled. Your son will start kindergarten this year. Yes okay good. Because i i know several people whose whose kids started kindergarten last year and it just was heartbreaking. 'cause kindergarten is such a special time. I mean you know it's it's all about fun and play and learning to be around other kids and stuff like that and it's just so cute and the fact that there's you know the millions of kids across the country that missed out on that experience and we're sitting there staring up a zoom camera as a five year old is just ridiculous while hope your your son gets to be in school How's the masking around where you Where you live in..

All term for lessons in policies that encourage children to see themselves and others almost exclusively through the lens of race. I appreciate that. Because i feel like there's a lot of the pushback on some of the critical race theory. Says that's not specifically critical race theory. "I think people have some real objections to sending the games to russia under putin and to china under gm paying. I think Americans have the sense to know that doing business with dictators. It's not great for the olympics. You know. I think it's a combination to of you. Know the the kovic year and Being a little unsure about the wisdom of this olympics. And you know. I think it's a combination of factors that that add up to. Maybe less than enchantment and we've been talking about how things just change you know. American idol was the number one show in america for several years and forty million people tune in and then they just saw enough of it. And when i was a kid. Boxing was the biggest sport in the world. Every kid in my class always knew who the world heavyweight champion one. There's nobody in my son's class. Would now that i mean you know things come and go and popularity. It's just a fact they do. I what doesn't go out of style is is the excitement of watching a a really great performance. You know watch watch. Somebody win a medal. Michael phelps think was you know. Just an epic an epic athlete to watch and You know the athletes always cleanse the olympics. And that's the thing the performances takeover and they start exercising charm over the whole affair. That that kinda can draw you back in despite your best intentions not to watch or not to give that much attention you know. I'm i'm mostly speaking for the ratings. And just other people i talked to. I love the olympics. My my son. And i watched the opening ceremonies. I'm trying to have have him at the same experience i had as a kid. 'cause i i've always liked the olympics and we're gonna we're gonna take in a lot of the stuff This weekend The way it's laid out on peacock you know and it's all there to watch whenever you want it. You can just kind of all a cart. It's interesting we're talking. With sally jenkins sports columnist the washington post i. It's interesting you got a column about what people are wearing. Got off on a thing the other day about. Why do they make the women beach volleyball. People play in their underwear. Because it looks like it's women playing in panties to me. And and i just i just i feel uncomfortable with that and i think i the. Why are they doing that. I agree and then you watch the man and you see them and they're somewhat baggy shorts minute. You're not doing this to the guys making the guys. Look this silly. just jump into a second. I have to say about that because you know it was just a man's perspective i was given the other day. But we've got a number of texts and we'll they have to wear those clothes because the sand would get in your yet doesn't seem to dudes that's silly. No if you and i. This is partly why i wrote the column in the washington post the other day if you actually take the trouble to to pull up the beach volleyball rules. You can't believe the difference in the instructions. The uniform instructions for the women and the men seven times. It says that the women must wear closely fitting this or fitted closely..

"You could go today and get the vaccine. That's your problem. That's the way. I feel chose not to get the vaccine. That's fine. i have no problem with you making that decision. You're probably a healthy and not over seventy five so you feel like i'm not going to get very bad i'm not gonna die. You made that decision. That's fine but why am i going to wear a mask There's gonna be great resistance to this. Also you've got the problem of just announced unvaccinated people that if you get the vaccination you still got to wear masks of one of the only things that was going to make anybody get the vaccination in the first place the fact that you could take off your mask is now been taken away. The carrot has been removed. They weren't worried about the stick. Obviously because the steak wasn't scared people in getting vaccination the stick is getting a covert and people have made the decision that you know. I'm healthy enough enough. I'm not worried about it so the stick wasn't working and the only carried out there was. You can take your mask off. Now that's been taken away. So how do you think anybody who's unvaccinated what what's going to motivate them to get vaccinated at this point. I expect any day now to hear the announcement that here in the building. We work in that. We have to go back to wearing masks in the hallways. I think that's gonna start happening all over the country and obviously the bluer your city county or state is the more likely they're going to mandate it I they're just now in california. Mandating it for people who work in hospitals nationwide about a third of the people who work in hospitals are not vaccinated the people who know the most about it..

Exercises essentially unilateral type stuff or split stand stuff and then see what happens did balance myself out quite a bit when back squats and came out stronger. You know what's funny but the who cares though anyways it's so funny unless unless you're who cares to me it's so funny that unless you're a powerlifter You know what i'm saying like you're you're who cares cares. If my barbell squat did drop two hundred pounds. It doesn't fucking matter if you fixed an imbalance and you've got strong doing bulgarian split squads. That's a huge win. Even if you've lost ten percent of your barbell back squad. And i i really blame. This is one of the things i don't. I don't like it's been a while since we've harped on cross but the one i remember when crosby got introduced to our space before you i didn't know what a pr was says. A trainer for at least five six years never heard the term pr in my life. Didn't know what that was didn't know it didn't know public relations thank you. I didn't. i've never heard. Did you guys remember hearing that before. I never max max and even then a lot of people didn't talk about maxing out that often it wasn't a common thing that you heard bros. But it became very popular to be hitting. Pr's and talking about that all time that now everybody looks at that as their measure of success of like. Oh i you know. I moved my bench. Press from my barbell squat up. Well if you if you moved your barbell squat up by twenty pounds but you still have fucking shit mobility or your ankle's bothering you or your hip. Who cares yeah. You know what i'm saying. Especially if you're the average person who just wants to look good feel good build a little muscle lean out you can do all of those things and lose your barbell back squat strength and still and still kick ass it all those things. So it's like who cares the market for niece lease and elbow sleeves they care. Yeah and ben gay. Yeah next question is from moose. One thirty four can meditation help. Increase muscle gains absolutely. Can't okay so why now is there a direct effect. Not necessarily but let's examine what. Why no one thing that our listeners will want to know is how would you know if you had a brain tumor. What are the signs and symptoms. Yeah that can be really tough because the most common symptom that any of us experience is headache and so we want to make sure that we sort of recognized that. We're not talking about the typical headache that can come on after a long day of work or those of us that get occasional migraines But this would be a different kind of headache The kind that may be awakens you from sleep or the type that is associated with nausea and vomiting in the early morning hours. That would be a sign of increased intra cranial pressure As a cause to the headache that would then neuro imaging to follow Otherwise we're talking about things that typically aren't subtle so maybe weakness on one side of the body difficulty getting the words out that you want to say our understanding what people are saying to you Seizures uncontrolled movements That lasts momentarily. And that can be sort of a motor seizure where you end up. Having jerking of the face or a limb there can also be sensory sorts of seizures or those sorts of that. Stop movement altogether where you're not able to get any words out and then the more generalized convulsion. So any of those sorts of things would prompt new Neuro imaging whether it be a c t scan or an mri. Typically with contrast to make sure that we've visualized the brain adequately l. If you're a raiders fan and you have a flag eater garage and you keep it there until they're plaguing the super bowl and then you wave it. You're not a fan. No this is not acceptable l. Fight away This has been very soon after graduation. So it's not like we follow this. This is a team for like twenty years. And only when they're did we put it out and it's a very new thing for a young man in the house who graduated from the school so when he just graduated last year. So i think this is okay. It's not like if it's been twenty years and the first time we've done it that's one thing like i'm a dodger fan larry's adopted any you know if i have when i fly when they're bad course. That never happens anymore but we're going back. They've been bad. And i fly it now. One of the best baseball. It's not a dodger i get. I don't have no. But i understand what you're saying. So you in front of your house right now. As of just this week are flying a baylor. Baylor bears flag wait. We ordered before this took a while before what they've been the number one number one or two t while year we ordered it before the sweet sixteen for a number one seed in the tournament decided to order a baylor flag. you're flying. you're flying baylor flag now. I've said this before and i'll say it again. With the amount of money. I sent to waco. I should have ten flags. So i am not going to apologize for this. The sun with the baylor. He's very excited about how the team is a one seed. We said that people in the neighborhood do this. The guy across the street. Well he moved now. Eighty was one of your guys michigan. I saw that mazen blue flag every saturday when they played foot by find out here it goes again. Here's joe red jack. Whatever his name was these flag flying the flag. So yes yes dammit. Number one seed. We were sitting around like and be nice to have a flag like everybody else went on amazon. Now i will tell you. And i said on my show this morning i believed it was more like of a small like garden. I did not know when it came to the box. My wife walked in with would be taller than like red rock. I had no idea about that. So i'm going to say that but once we took it out and of course bonnie had to put the flight bowl because i. I'm not mechanical at all i I didn't do anything with that. I came down the street from. I was out the other day. I can't on the street. you can see this thing pretty much two miles away waving in the wind. That's an we're talking the the the the flag top of the white house. That's how big this is. This is yes. I saw the i saw the picture. Yep west passed so you have a daughter at a different school. Why is that school flag hanging. I got question i said. Get to this week between iraq right. That's what that's my point. This is my point. You have to support the all times. Not just in times of success. I'm a front runner. I like i like. I like winners adam. Winners at this house and newest he's never going to be this. Which seeks the sweet sixteen to worry about that you also have a. I mean your son went to a different school before this one whereas the gw got one when they won the nit but they beat my alma mater. santa states. i put that this is the point. You even support them all the time or you support them. None of the time slot here. I just came to me. You might have sent this to you. Is this the same person who ripped my leather jacket. In fact i have hiking poles on my heights. Reveal my source. Must attempt april-september my wife. Because i sent that the flag on bill so the pictures now are going from one person to the nets are circulating around about. I was very happy with my my. Dm lit up with a photo of the front of your house yesterday. I was very very excited about that. I i feel like it and listeners. Out there please. If you're going to support your team support your team at all times not as you. Don't do this only with her in the playoffs. Only when they're in the sweet sixteen this is. This is not how phantom is done. I would say this and what you're talking about and that really guarantees. I support the winning team. But it is an enormous. It's we're almost worried that if augusta win hits it at the right time whoever's coined the garage the flag will cover the windshield and we're like crash. Into something that's a big it's also noxious color. Well that's color. How can you get that. I mean what are you know. We're not going to get past that. That's the colors. Pavement of colors of the school. I don't find this acceptable at any level. I can't believe he sent you. Take this die. Please did his own life out there in california what. What's wrong with this guy. He didn't like my leather jacket. Then the minute. I went on a hike with guy. Didn't say one thing about it had hiking poles with me. I admit that long hours. And he sees you that day and runs over to you and starts talking about the hiking people's and now he circulating pictures of my house with the baylor flag out front because they've got a chance to the final four. Were front runners at the house and no circulating those pictures. Unbelievable with this guy. I'm texting this guy after this park ac- name in print the brakes on taking shots. He's got provide now. That trump route has gone. We need somebody providing us that content so we appreciate it. I think we can still read. Trent brown tweets. Even though he's gone not apologizing for you brought this up for me to apologize then. I'm not doing it. I'm not apologize you in the more mortar. Shame it's about shaving because this is not. This is not acceptable. Fan behavior. everson normal snail acceptable behavior. I have no jersey's never wanna jersey. I refuse to jerseys so i'm not that kind of fandom i literally like the dodgers larry. There's not many teams. I keep reading boring. You and i both know that because of the business wherein and you can lose over the years literally just like all right whatever game over the weekend right. There's a pro. We're kind of in the same boat there by love my kids and one of them's a true winner who went to the sweet sixteen. I'm going to support him the other one. She hasn't been to the sweet sixteen yet so when she gets. This week's might go back on amazon and by flag. mersal.

"A whole lot of stock in just the feelings of brown. We have a game on the show where we try to interpret browns tweets in his thoughts. Yes i never know what trump is thinking or doing. And i do i. I think it's a. It's a very unique situation that your trip brown is a different kind of dude. He he's he doesn't seem like a mainstream thicker he kind of does his own. He march to the beat of own drum the old saying and where he's he's very unique. Summer could have read a whole lot into it I do think it's interesting. Some of the Some of the dynamics of the like the rest of offensive line. Because i heard you. I did a show yesterday where i was kind of asked about. Will rodney hudson seemed to have fallen into a place where he was such a a loyal soldier in such a good dude and then he kind of got to a place where he didn't really seem like he wanted to be here anymore. Either and i don't know how true that is. Just based on some of the comedies. Add But i feel like there was a rift between brown and the organization and it kind of affected the rest of the off divided. And we don't know if that means that they were taking trip outside or were they against trip around and they're like what is this guy doing. And why is he making all this money and he doesn't have to work as hard as we do. If that is the perception of what is going on. I don't know. I don't know if the rest of the office of line didn't like how the organization was treating trip brown or did like how proud was was kind of getting strep or treatment. It's a way. I don't know i don't know how that worked out. But i do think that you know the the relationship between trip out of the organization kind of impacted others it seems like from afar and again the difference with this past year is that we weren't in the locker room we we weren't up after practice not not after practice. You get that forty five minutes in the locker room kinda gauge. The temperature of everything and see everybody is kind of relating. And what's going to get much better sense of where everything is so. I think it's really tough to three into that. But i do think that was a unique situation that i don't wanna i don't wanna read into. Excuse me pause and three to. I think it was a unique situation in that. I don't want to take a whole lot from it. I don't wanna read a whole lot into you. Know whether trent brown being unhappy is is you know how that relates to the perception of the organization around the league. The perception of jon gruden around the league is i think there is still a lot of guys who wanna play for jon gruden. I think he is still a very popular figure very popular personality. I think the the state tax situation will help get guys in the future as well. I think the stadium is appealing. The opportunity play. Las vegas appealing. I all those things are still true. I just don't think that we have to use trent brown as the as the gauge. He's not indicator of where people feel are how people feel about this organization in that. I was just looking at a twitter. Sorry go ahead. And i read this. No i'll agree to tweet. Because i'm going to go to different direction. Read the tweet from today. We always we always have to retrench brown sweeter. Lay my voice. The last couple. We've really can't read on the air but like there's what yesterday that are. We ought either way until it hurt. It ain't no mercy. It ain't no mercy that's playing the victim again because this will. I'm trying to think how until it did. It hurt him to hurt him enough in vegas that the patriots sabin. I don't know. I don't know not yet another one. I mean he said. I guess this summer really is going to be one for the record books. The guy toto that means either. that means either. I look at trying to get in. His head and trying to decipher is tweets. I mean we could be here for days. Buddies always never sold on. He never mind. I thought i thought he was referring to twitter here. But as i as i read it i think he's referring to real life to relationships. This is a good. This is good advice for all relationships. I think i have no sympathy in dam. Sure no apology. If you go through my stuff and find something you don't like right. that is that's actually very wise That is a listen. If you don't want to know something don't look right. that's good. i like that. How about he just tweeted mr right now right now mr right now yeah. He's he's an interesting follow. I know you lie. No that's one of the follows. You hold dear. Dear art and watch those tweets every day. Usually you're able to figure out like one of the ten of what the hell this guys talking about. but you know what end and hopefully you can get those. Incentives contract seems like ballot check. But a lot of incentives in their terms of how much guys are gonna way. If he's gonna play forman will kind of work at least he's already the three eighty that they wanted to play at. We'll see how true that is when you know in the season when the the preseason begins in training camp starts but i think the biggest loss from trump around not being here anymore he unfollowed me leaning. I see you get you to get the follow to begin with. I'm kinda sad. I just noticed that. When i just did that. Little a little. Bit of running through his tweets. He this is like. I don't know that it actually necessarily happened right when he went right when he left like right. What he's out of the out of las vegas but at some point in the last month or two on following me which is very sad. That's gotta kill you crossing what twitter followers escape because what boy. That's interesting because look. I have no idea how many followers he has many people he follows but he's really obviously a- kind of a a voice on twitter and he's you know he's he's got a lot to san twitter when he leaves a town does he literally go through who i followed in the last hands on then. Just get rid of him like why would he think even do. Maybe maybe i tweeted something about him leaving that he didn't like i mean not that i may commentary on or anything but maybe it was just you know the reports of him leaving all right amount does please check out our new seven. Seven newscasts weekdays at seven. Am and seven pm. Get every bit of local news. You need in seven minutes from the las vegas review journal. I'm sorry for you is your mariota and there's a train round next week. I'm gonna get to a leadership roles because groom said something. This week about. Yachting gakuen laughed. Because i i. I stood there for thirty minutes Trying to figure out who the leader is on the defense. I couldn't come up with anyone. You wanted to bring its unique. But we're going. I i don't want say you need. I see here what it is. That's how i read it. I say yannick mugabe. And that's how your seat. When i write it yard because i can't say john we're going with. I'll go yawn. That's fine but sedulously is gonna be leader. And i said well you need some leading on that because i don't really know who it is So maybe he is the leader of as as we said this morning on four teams in a year. So i don't know where those are leadership quality so what to see when he gets here but We'll go leadership next week. What did you want to bring to the table today. There's a lot of layers to this head. But i was sent a photo that really disturbed me. I am i seen it. Probably i mean. The photo is of the front of your house. Who did someone send you that or hearing about. No i have a photo you serious. I'm serious now. you may have. I mean we may maybe some of our loyal listeners. Here on the podcast are stalkers of you. And they're they're taking photos of the front.

"Jose brimming adam hill here each week to give you some of our thoughts on the las vegas raiders for entering into the world of news and other topics. We find interesting so we go. Adam is breaking news. But i want to get your thoughts right off the top on marcus. Mariota has resigned with raiders retail. Todd kraft foods you know. He's going to be a lot less money than he was. Which everyone assumed. Two part question here. Do you believe the raiders In any way did him wrong during a process to kind of not release him in have shot at other jobs or australian tour. They knew then they could get into. Re re review is deal already. Think this is something mariota can. Ed looked at knew what was going to happen all the way a lot. I think the certainly a complex question in terms of exactly how the raiders handled this situation First of all. I think the raiders got exactly what they want in the end. They got a very competent and capable backup quarterback that they would feel comfortable with as a starter for a very favorite team friendly favorable contract so in the end they you know. They got exactly where they wanted to be. Very comfortable with their quarterback room is right now heading into the rest of the offseason in going forward into the year so That's what they wanted in terms of the did they do wrong. I think that's a very interesting question in terms of what is their responsibility right. I mean did did. The rate did the way the raiders played out. This situation potentially cost marcus mariota money. Yeah probably it probably did. I mean the raiders could have released him. You know a month ago you know they could have released them right at the beginning of this whole process and he could have gone and maybe been in the mix for one of those started jobs With the you know the football team or even chicago or somewhere where you know they in chicago. Eighty the football team ends up with. Patrick i mean is that could have been marcus. Mariota situation where he signs a starting quarterback contract but is it the raiders responsibility to do that. No i mean mariotto is under contract. They you know they kept them under contract and then everybody knew. We thought that he would be released or asked to renegotiate. But it's not the raiders responsibility to do that. So yeah it. Would it be a nice thing to do sure. Do we see this donnas favors in you know in the nfl and another leagues as well. Yes sometimes we do where a team has said. Hey like you put in a lot of good time for us. We really appreciate your time. We're going to release you and put you on the market and let you find a job before everybody else. That's done but it's not the teams responsibility to do that. And as long as they had mary under contract they can do what they want to do and they chose to head out this way and they got what they wanted out of the whole situation that it probably costs. Marcus mariota a lot of money. We'll let me ask you this because there's various reports and i don't know if we'll know unless someone admits to it because it's not like a a unlv contractor we get two seconds after kevin kruger's soured because it's a state university. There were various reports yesterday. And let's just assume some were They were truthful in that Faxon that marcus. Mariota which given a note no-trade clause to where he could reject any trade came at them. I have no clue. And marcus mariota seems to be and i think we both agree the nicest guy in the world i mean i i get the big thumbs up for going to the honolulu advertiser to tell him these. Come back to the raiders. You know support local journalism instead of natural. but why in the world. and you're i think you're stating exactly. This is a business for the raiders. Have to make business decisions matter. How a nice guy would benefit. Would jon gruden have to agree to a no trade clause for marcus mariota as backup quarterback given a lot of these guys you know as well as anyone near the draft their moved for picks as a backup guy. I do think there's a chance that he did this because he knows all along. I don't wanna lose this guy anyway. So it doesn't really know they got. They wanted mariota to be the backup at a significant discount. That's what the raiders wanted out of this and looked at it and you know he could have tried to explore the market. I'm sure that his agent detroit for the market and found that it had kind of dried up in terms of the quarterback know the quarterback carousel. That was going on. And so their best option was to agree to that renegotiating. A contract in comeback to las vegas but they also wanted something out of it. Because what you don't want to do is you know you don't you. Don't want to have the raiders having like a deal in place and some team saying a we trade you for maryoto. But we're not going to trade you for that contract. He has you better get him on a better contract. And then we'll trade him little trade for him. It's so mariota's said okay in people said if we're gonna take this reduced contract you're going to give us something to it. So what they got was the no trade. But it's not really a no trade. No trades are not actual no trades. It's hey we're gonna have some control over this. And i'm sure if there was a team out there that wanted to trade for marcus mariota at he would potentially be a starter that no trade clause would be waived in at heart heartbeat. But he doesn't wanna be traded somewhere where it's worse situation where he's not going to have a chance to live in a place that he wants to like las vegas. He's not going to have a chance to be in a situation like he is in las vegas. If he's going to be back. I think he wants to be in vegas but he also wants to have control of where he goes. So it's not a it's not not because he doesn't want to go anywhere it's not because he wants to have some control over where he is traded if he is traded and that was that was just a you know a little. Hey listen we understand. The are doing us a favor by signing this reduced contract will give you something back and say you can have a little bit of control at a little say over where you might potentially get traded if you are traded. It's okay yeah again. That could be just you. Don't you don't see backup quarterback. No trade clause Limited i read. That's a little stranger as as you know as good as we think he might be from the game we saw last year. He's still a backup and he's going to be a backup in this team unless something happens car. We'll see i move forward. I want to get your thoughts on it. I just thought it was fishy negotiation. It's hey like it was a one-sided deal hey will you take this. We'd take this contract for a lot less money. Okay well what will i get out of it. Well let's say there's no trade which is not actually again no trade. It's just a it's a. Hey this is a little bit of a non say okay. We we appreciate that you took that lower deal Here's here's something in return even if it's not that meaningful of other thing before we can Something you want to talk about. So brown comes out we Heard audio of him with the patriots and how much he loved being there. was not happy how it worked out in vegas. Didn't take a direct shot actor. Jon gruden but did say enough to where i've got to be honest you. I'm going to side with the raiders on this point about how you know. Whatever he didn't fit in here it didn't work out he didn't like it. You know that was on a guy who didn't be wasn't in shape got hurt The kobe fault. I b but it didn't seem like the work ethic was completely I'm gonna take the raiders sadness but the question is we also Chris long game here worked out eventually. Went to the chiefs. Lake was the perception when the team came to vegas. Who doesn't wanna play there. No state tax the casinos. All the clubs the players as that kind of an overblown of how you think players really think about vegas and if they all want to play here i mean the first of all say that. I'm not going to base any long-term opinion or any. You are not going.

"Formal tissue depend on oxygen for aerobic respiration cell is anaerobic. Oxygen is toxic to correct. Yeah yeah and one of the fda approved applications for hyperbaric therapy is actually things like radiation necrosis so helping people recovering from the standard I've been to a number of different conferences. Number the the ones that are probably most High profile or the undersea hyperbaric medicine. Society meetings where doctors will show results from the patients. You know one side after another. Here is the radiation damage. And here's the enhancement of the repair of the tissue enhancing the normal tissues ability to heal itself. You know high pressure oxygen. So radiation crosses Yeah vitamin c can help normal. Normal cells can also be a pro oxidant. But it's more of a pro oxidant in the tumor tissue that already has accelerated rates of reactive oxygen species and also free hime attendant. Yes i'm very interesting. Yeah economically delving into this. Yeah like i said We're doing the trials right now in different model systems. We're looking at a breast tumor a breast cancer model. I want to look at a variety of model systems to really determine what works and what does not work and we equally important to actually published data from model systems where it does not work..
