Perspective (MM #3773)

"The Maison with Kevin Nation. Many will say there's only one side to the news, the truth, but a lot has to do with perspective month or two sides to every coin. When it comes to aging, what matters, what doesn't it's all about perspective, race relations perspective, the sad reality, as much as we want to admit as much as we want to believe truth all comes down to perspective and it's not just about the sky being blue, the sky being orange. But what if you're wearing a pair of glasses that have a tint to them? And you look up in the sky is orange Taliban. Again perspective, in theory there is only one truth in theory. There's only one right and only one wrong, but as we know, there's the gray area in between and a lot of that has to do with perspective. I was thinking about that the other day, when somebody was telling me about something, they wanted to do a job to do and I said, smart thing to do because I wish I'd done it at your age, my perspective was different, it's a very nuanced word. And each and every day perspective, changes a lot of similarity but a lot of different wage.

Leftist Reporters Use the Same 'He-Said She-Said' Formula to Write Books

"But coming from the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal. This other hitman this Michael Wolff. And so how many times are we going to go through this? Oh, we're shocked and shocked at what this one said. And that was not shocked anymore. We know that this is the problem. We got it. We understand it. We? We We've lived through this We have lived through this. Anyway. You won't find me. Helping these, these reporters sell books. Not going to happen. By pulling a Statement. This one side of that one said this this is the Sort of the prototypical book that has written by these left wing reporters. And this is how they enrich themselves. I don't mean to be preachy. I'm just explaining How do these books go so high up on the, uh, on the Amazon list, and so, uh, are are placed in front of the book starts because their hype Their hype.

Are Women Inherently Competitive With Each Other?

"He card. Do you believe women are inherently competitive with each other. Do you think competition can be completely one-sided how can we thought work to competition interpersonal relationships. Okay no yes and the same way we do everything right so no of course i do not believe women are inherently competitive with each other. I don't think that that means anything. I don't think anybody is inherently competitive with anybody else. Ray competitive just a thought rate so you might have thought i feel competitive right but also it's sort of a word we would use to describe certain thought patterns like i wanna win or i need to be better than everyone else or like. There's not enough to go around. And i have to get the most and be the best rate. I want to be better than other people like. Those are all thoughts that we might describe as being competitive so competition of course can be completely one-sided because it's not a real thing that exists is just a thought in your mind half of us are like quote unquote in competition with. Some girl went to high school with thirty years ago. Who hasn't thought about a sense Right or our first boyfriend got remarried. Or whatever so yes. Competition can be completely one-sided competition is just thought you have or it's just a word we use to describe the set of thoughts you have so it's probably most of the time one-sided and then how can we apply to competition interpersonal relationships. The same way you apply to anything else. You got to look at the thoughts rate. This is also great example. Y'all of why the more details you submit the more effectively. I can coach you right at this abstract level. I have to make up my own examples but like why do you have the thought that you need to become a vice president faster than your sister does rate or not. Why do you have the thought but like notice you have that thought and then work on. That thought that's what's creating the competitiveness is that thought rate. Or why is it important to you to like get to have. I don't know a bigger wedding than somebody else like. Whatever this is about rate the way you apply our to it is you. Just bring your awareness bring your consciousness. Do thought download to those thoughts. You have about the person or the thing you think you're competing on or with and then you need to use the model to get familiar with those thoughts. Get to know them and then to shift them. So it's not like a special thing that you need a special tool for competitive or competition is just a word to describe a set of thoughts that you can use thought work on the same way you would on anything else

How to Maximize ROI Through Effective Loyalty With David Hawkins

"Saddam. Thanks very much for coming on the show. Really great to have opportunity to speak to someone with your experience and length of tenure in the automotive industry. Somebody just to kick things off can you. Maybe just tell us a little bit about loyalty. Logistics and hot came about and why you started it sure. Thanks thanks go to fifteen years ago. Been in the automotive industry releasing select university and at work for various Suppliers dms providers and used aggregation sites all sorts of technologically based businesses. But it must seldom apart. He started the beazley's we had one overriding aim and that was we observed the each of the oem's that we worked for each of the de la group should each of the dealers spent almost all of their marketing and advertising spend on attracting new customers. So the brand building or attracting nukus mr to buy new cars and they spent very little money on holly any of their attention on retaining the customers. It already sold to who knew them liked them. Trusted them use them for after sales but they spent very little time and effort in trying to retain them and we thought there was a gap. So we sell to go to the g. sticks with one side line to help dailies groups and oem's retain more customers along and then through the last fifteen years we've developed a number of products services and approaches and developed the business around that that single line.

How to Email Your Abandoned Email List

"There's a lot of people tell us that. Oh well you know. I've got an email this. But i've been a bit shit. Not even even the very often and they say go your complete daily email strategy on the number of the league and study only stuff. So i'm gonna email every three and a half minutes now. I'm gonna email of every day or every week and we have to go like that cowboy. Who the whole says. Please don't do that right. I mean a lot of people do this without realizing. And i think there's two two major causes of at one. Is people build a list because the tool to build a nest and you should but then they feel worried about emailing them too much. So this of overcompensate and put it off and get paralyzed by that complication and then they go. Oh well i'll just no email him. Because i do an email and my conny mellon too much and then that's one side of it and then on the flip side of it. It's the people who see that this as like an asset that it'll be there when they need it so like i only pick up food and when i want to send somebody a text message or a phone call look on tacos and thing and the rest of the time. It's just on the desk and when you look at it. I think people look at our email list. Does this thing that go right Not really looking not doing a sale right now launching. Anything anything special happening on not doing. I'm not doing any of those things. I'll get my list to be right there when i need it. And then when they do need it. It's like the climate in the attic and take out the wooden box the cable subscribers in and then they blew the dust off a big cloud and then open up to see see if subscribers still paying attention. That's such as blinded by the light. Avance seen they lie. You never feed me feed us. You're gonna give us give them nutrients right right. So that's what happens. I think that's like the two major causes of weather's comes from for sure. So the thing is we need to make sure that we want to encourage you to start emailing those subscribers again book doing it carefully doing it with a bit of thought

Well, I think they're treating them as if he's Napoleon Bonaparte trying to level France and destroy Europe on one side on the other side, like his Ganga's punk, and he wants to conquer the world and nothing could be further from the truth. You know, The funny thing is he He abided by the law. Despite the allegations against him, he abided by court decisions. He was enforcing immigration laws, which Biden won't do. He doesn't have a racist bone in his body. That's right. I said it despite the efforts by the media and others to paint him that way. And

It also stopped platform from censoring journalistic enterprise is based on their don't exemption was given to companies that owned and operated a theme park wonder how that got their tech. Trade groups challenged the law in court. Us district judge robert hinkle issued a preliminary injunction preventing parts of the law from taking effect. Judge hinkle's said the law would restrict speech by dictating to platform operators. Oakland City Council Considering A’s “Howard Terminal or Bust” Offer

"Vote whether to approve the A's proposal to build a new baseball stadium at Howard Terminal. They say Their waterfront proposal, which includes housing, a performance space and hotels will revitalize West Oakland, an area of the city that has historically suffered from gentrification and displacement by big infrastructure projects like bark. Freeways in the post office down there. Opponents say it will cost jobs at the port and argued that the stadium should be built to the Coliseum, where ample transportation infrastructure already exists. Ratcheting up the tension as the A's ultimatum that if they can't build on the waterfront, they will move away entirely, leaving Oakland without a major league sports team following the loss of the city's other teams. We'll hear about the plan at what it means for Oakland and Bay Area sports fans. First I want to bring Nina Thorsen, producer at KQED and the California report onto the show to give us a reset. Welcome to the show. Nina Hey, Alexis. Good to talk to you. So first, let's let's talk about the specific area where it is. I want to give listeners like a sort of mental map. Where exactly is Howard Terminal? So if you've ever taken a fairy and gotten off at the open side, it's immediately north of where the ferry terminal is right now and then in between Howard Terminal and, um, the rest of the port of Oakland. That's where Schnitzer Steel the steel factory is. So it's right on the water, and, um, right adjacent to the ferry terminal. And I think that's one of the things that makes this such a complicated location is on the one side. You've got the port and on the other side you've got Jack London is right right in between there. Sure, And I mean, I think this is the challenge inherent to anybody who's going to build. Any kind of new facility in an established city is you want to be close to things that are already there and places where people want to go, But that means you're going to be next to some people, and there's just a lot of complications involved for sure. Give us a quick recap

Harnessing Fierce Self Compassion with Author Kristin Neff

"Kristen. Thanks for being untangled. Today it's great to have you with us again. Oh thanks patricia. I'm really happy to be here. Yes your new book just came out. When did it come out. Actually yesterday on the so excited that i got to read it. It is so good. And let's just start by talking about why he decided to write this book. You've been a compassion. Pioneer and self compassion warrior and. This book has a little bit of a different twist to it. And i'm just curious as to why you decided to write. This one is a couple of reasons. So it's about the fear side of self compassion in addition to tender more nurturing side. It's about being able to speak up. Stand up for yourself. Meet your needs motivate change and first of all in the last ten years or so. When i've been really teaching people about self compassion. I realized that people had a very one-sided view of it they thought self compassion was only about self acceptance and soothing and comforting and there was this misperception that somehow self compassion is gonna undermine your ability to motivate. Change your to seek up or to do something about your life. They thought it was all about acceptance. So part of it was just decrypt. Misperception to let people know about the fear side of self compassion. I liked joke that tender self compassion as like a mother. Just unconditionally loves her child. Even wintershall screaming at off just love and soothe and care for our child but this also like mama bear so protecting her cobs are saying. Okay time for you to leave the dan or maybe hunting for miles. If i'm fish feed them. All of those are really important. Part of self compassion that mama bear side which we can also turn inward is exclusively for women in particular we haven't done before it's all been gender neutral is because women's fierceness socialized out of them we're told to be helpful and say yes to everyone into gear brown needs in a way that men are. So that's why. I wrote the book particularly for women. I was definitely ask that question. And i want to dive a little deeper into that. But why do you think you chose the word fierce. I love the word. Fierce is not the only one who uses it. a lot of people do and essential steam. Because they're called the translations now not all languages have an analogous word because fierce connotes bravery and courage and that warrior energy but as a positive word as opposed to something like aggressive which is negative connotations. And that's why i like fierce because again it's like fierce mama bear that warrior energy can come from a place of love in terms of the service of protection and reducing harm and just seemed to fit that really well.

"The Democrat Party obviously believes that It needs to embrace a new constituent swing. Created it. Constituent to AI. Thank you know it used to be the party and I'm going to use their Constant reference to skin color and race, which is repugnant, but I'm going to use it because they use it. Used to be the party of the white working man and woman. Now it's a party that keeps talking about white supremacy. White dominant society embraces the most radical elements in this country Wide open borders here clearly trying to affect the demographics in this kind of the way your state California was afraid you couldn't elect Ronald Reagan in your state today, if your life depended on it. And they're doing these things. For the Democrat Party, not the benefit of the country where the party comes first. This is a very difficult thing to confront, isn't it? It is and you've got to be scared about this because, remember Where policymakers and their focus is not about putting the country forward. Their focus is about maintaining power and keeping the Democratic Party in power liquidated their hr one. That is nothing about empowering individuals Voting, though. Pulling an election. Yeah, that's totally about controlling elections. Do you know they put a speeches are in there That would tell us what we can say. Like the social media that you couldn't talk about China or that came from Wuhan. And then they want to take a federal election commission that is bipartisan equal number Republican Democrats and weigh it heavier and change it, where it's one side party control. And then they want to take your taxpayer money, your hard earned money and they want to bring it into campaigns.

Have You Lost Your Edge During Lockdown?

"But i know for a fact that i had definitely lost some of my age during these various lockdowns that we've been through and for us are still going through a simple list of tasks that would once upon a time. They knocked off in an hour or two now seems to take me a week to get done. And that's not just because i'm stretching it out to try and fill in the week. It's because i'm lacking the motivation. The focus to get even the simplest tasks dumb. But i think that's to be expected. I think the k. Lesson out of that is not to beat yourself up over it first of all because a number of people going through the same think it's unavoidable. These are trying times. But the important thing i think is to make sure that you don't necessarily even maintain your edge just that you stay in touch with that age. Think about it like a football game or tennis match. No one side has ascendancy for the entire game. There's always in eben flow in that game the key when the tide turns against you is to make sure that you stay in touch with the leader so that when the tide and the momentum swings back your way you're able to claw back those losses and so in the context of your work i think the way to get around or to cope with it to get through. It is to sometimes submit a d. plus piece of work not an a plus piece of work like you used to. Maybe you actually have to submit something that is subpar. Not great not ideal. Your boss ain't gonna love you but it's much better in my mind to submit a d plus piece of work during these trying times than miss the deadline completely. And that's probably not the answer. A lot of you want to hear a lot of you would like to hear. I just go and do that. Motivation 'cause that time management course and then i'm sorted maybe can there may be a solution out there for you. I know i don't work that way. That sort of stuff doesn't work for me. I know what i need to do. I just after get down knuckled down and do it so to me if you're having trouble maintaining your age or you feel like you're losing your age during these difficult times. We're going through right now. Even obsessed and focus on maintaining that age focused on just staying in touch with edge just enough so that win momentum swim swings back your way. Political Violence Sanctioned for Antifa, Radical Liberals

"Political violence obviously is to be roundly condemned in a in a rational, smoothly functioning constitutional republic. We have a real problem in a country when political violence is sanctioned on one side. BLM and Antifa can burn down courthouses burned down your business attack. You attack the police. It's all on video. We can see it all. And yet you have a different political group accused of all kinds of things on January 6th an incident the capital. Some of which have condemned myself. And yet, it's weird. They find themselves in solitary confinement. Big, massive conspiracy. Shocking all campaigns their words. Don't you find that odd? That sounds you like a obvious and obvious case of political targeting. Doesn't that sound to you? Like the opposite of what we're supposed to be doing in law enforcement. What are we supposed to be doing? Well, when you're a police officer of federal agent people call or they walk in an office and they report a crime. I was robbed. I was beaten. I had my money stolen. I'm a business. I received counterfeit bills. And what do you do? You go investigate the people responsible for that crime and you find them. That's the way in a constitutional republic and unbiased, nonpartisan law enforcement operations supposed to work. Not the other way around. You don't walk into a law enforcement officer or police precinct and say, I want my friend here investigated because I think he may be a trump supporter, and then they go and investigate them and find a crime later. That's not the way that works. That's not a republic. That's

How Music & Dance Impact Our Mental Health

"Thank you so much for joining us today. Jennifer thanks for having me very exciting to dig into this topic with you. So can you tell us a little bit more. About what dance and movement psychotherapy is and how you got into this view. Of course yeah dance. Movement psychotherapy is a form of psychotherapy that prioritizes the body. So most people think of therapy psychotherapy they think of talk therapy sitting in a chair and talking in dance movement psychotherapy we start with the body and of course we can process early but we tend to think of the body as the priority in the brain as the interpreter of what's happening in the body so in session you might be invited to notice what's happening in your body on a sensation level. You might also be invited to notice body posture. You may also be invited to move your body. Where on that spectrum. We can explore in a dance movement psychotherapy session and i got into it. Because i was a dancer answer. I dams all the way up through college and for me. Dance was very cathartic and thought well. There has to be a way to make this like a thing like a job. Profession like helping people with their emotional concerns and invite movement into the process. And at the time. I didn't know there was a whole field called dance movement psychotherapy but there isn't one side discovered it. I started moving in that direction.

"one side" Discussed on The Young Turks

"That great moment with thanos that started to make me think. Maybe this is pretty interesting character. Actually the return of captain marvel is done. Amazingly doctor strange gets a good couple moments in Spiderman yes the girls get it done. Moment is a little bit hitting you over the head. But i loved it. I thought it was pretty great. And they really do a good job of giving everyone basically everyone a couple of good moments during this showdown of showdowns and then the resolution of the story lines of both Tony stark and captain america amazing character arcs over so many movies and i think both of them were done very well. Yeah i mean that was just a great movie. I i was just i mean you can. You can watch the audience reactions. And all that. And it's i know it's still hits me the same and there's never been anything like it. There's never been anything like endgame because there's never been anything like the mcu to lead to. There's been series with a lot of movies. A billion james bond movies but it isn't the same thing you can't have that same sort of moment. This was a very carefully constructed and almost universally expertly constructed and conceived of arc of movies. And you don't. I guess some people that don't all i know is i. It was an amazing ride. I'm looking forward or rewatch of basically all the movies is just a couple of them. No fan of and Very excited for what comes next. I cannot wait to be in the theaters watching black widow and seeing what the hell the eternal is is about generally do a lot of research on these movies afterward to get more context. I don't generally do beforehand. I went into the guardians of the galaxy knowing nothing about the guardians of the galaxy. M gonna do the same for the internals but song she great trailer can't wait to see what that's about the series so far. Wanda vision was amazing falcon. The winter soldier was great. So i have great hopes from that. I just think that they ended it right. And they're launching into another phase that like could it be even better. I don't know we'll see we'll see but anyway maybe they'll we'll have had about four new movies. We'll see if maybe the list has changed with the rewatching everything but feel free to let me know what you think. "To the entire library past top ten list. We've got like thirty point and we have a lot of phone with them. That said until next time they say about their saying out there. We'll see okay. Everyone welcome back to another top ten list. Thank you first of all for being a tier two or tier three members on youtube making this available We do have something special for you. So almost always these top ten lists are myself and francesc teeny occasionally when the topic merits and that is the case. This week i'm doing a request. I've seen a couple of different times which is for me to rank the top ten Marvel movies it was pretty much. The instant i'd posted the top ten star wars movies. People were like well. We wanna to hear your terrible take on the mcu. So i have combed through the twenty three current films and this is my ranking. I also had to resist the urge to put black widow on the list though. I haven't seen it yet. But i know that it's going to be great. It's got david harbour. It's got florence pew. I think it's going to be really good. But i'm only going with the ones that are currently been made available this is. I think it's a good timing because we're about to launch into the next big wave of movies and over the course of this year we've got black widow. We've got Song she is coming out. We've got the internals doctor. Strange is less than a year away like the number of movies is going to double in next couple of years but this is like up until basically around and game that i big Thing so feel free to me feel free to post below. I know you're gonna hate my list but this is what i've got at number ten. We've got spiderman homecoming. Now i did not have very high hopes for spiderman the rebe launch of spiderman mostly. Because i've really liked the tobey. Maguire spiderman and. I'm not that huge fan of the character. I never watched the ones with andrew garfield. I'm going to say. And so. I actually took like a year and a half to watch spiderman homecoming. I didn't see it in theaters. I didn't watch me leave once. It was made available. But i think they did a really good job of relaunching. The character i think that the actor they got quite good he gets the sort of quit. Be funny part of spiderman. He doesn't seem like a sort of stoic battle-hardened for like you know a lot of the other characters. I thought that the sweet side characteristic putting there were good and the vulture was great incredibly tense scenes that scene where they're driving together. I think the dance. I think it is one of the tensest scenes in the mc you and the other one was okay far from home. I thought it was fine but homecoming just a very clean movie. A great version of that origin story for spiderman. We'll see how the next one goes and spiderman generally by the way. He's been a great addition. Mcu at number nine. I have the big original. Marvel's the avengers which you know. It's not super highly ranked. I think it's really good. You know the bringing the other team. It was really the proof of concept for the. Mcu that this thing can actually work we can do all of our solo things and then you know what we can bring them all together and make something. Good that said for me is not the best villain i dunno ending. I liked them teaming up together at the end ironman making sacrifices a great sort of foreshadowing of what's going to end up happening with him an end game but it's a lot of punching you know the chautari or whatever so it was. It was fine. It was fine. It was a good movie. I like the stuff on a little. You know floating base and all that coming number eight guardians of the galaxy volume two guards galaxy volume to not as good of a film as the first one. I think most people would agree on that. That said it does have certain advantages over the rest of the mcu. The marvel sense of humor. The quickey just weeden sort of thing that they do is probably at its best in guardians of the galaxy and that by not been quite as good in the second one is the first but still very good great moments with drax. Belief that he's you know can turn invisible baby grew quite good. I like the expanding of the team. with mantis. I thought that the larger role for jadu was quite good the villain. I didn't find ego. I didn't find nearly as interesting as the stuff with ronin even the romans best character or whatever but i didn't love the stuff with the father but you know we find out that yondo is mary poppins. Y'all got some great moments very funny almost as good a theme tra- the try a soundtrack as the first one so not bad at number eight number. Seven is thor. Ragnarok and thor ragnarok makes the list i'd almost should be higher up on the list They apparently decided okay. We've done four one fine we've done or two maybe the worst movie in the mcu. We need something new. And that's something new was bringing other characters you know at this point and mcu none of these movies truly solo anymore and that helps but more importantly can we get a sense of humor honestly. Can we not have four be this sort of boring stick in the mud and they did that and wow they did a great job. Authority narok tortillas obviously awesome. I thought that the sort of buddy comedy between him and the hulk was great. hello was an awesome villain. very good. he brings in some side characters that meets on the gladiator planet That are great additions to the story as well. And what's the name of the guy. Jeff goldblum is awesome. And whatever he does. This is a great role for him as well. So it was an exciting movie great soundtrack. Good humor thor ragnarok and especially because i did not like that second one at all now. Thor love and thunder. I have very high expectations for. It's one of the most anticipated. Mc movies because of how good ride mark was that said There are six movies. I deemed better of wondering now number. Six is black panther. Black panther was ninety. Five percent awesome Great it's not really an origin story for the hero. But it's the first that we're really seeing me. Get a little bit in civil war so getting to see not just black panther but actually seeing a bunch of kanda of his extended family. The culture of were conduct how they choose. The black panther the spirituality of it it was just great world building. It was more world building than we generally get like as a as a counter example. Doctor strange i feel like building out that world not as compelling and you know maybe there are other examples of that thor the dark world no not nearly as compelling of setting up a sort of new world within a world. They did a great job with black panther in that Some pretty good fights some good side characters. I thought that having bilbo. They're quite good. That said while the conflict at the heart of black panthers very interesting and i like it the political ramifications and all that are in love the villain so much and more more so than that. The final fight is it was dc quality it was to cgi characters punching each other a whole bunch and that is when these movies are at their worst. I loved wonder woman. The last fight at the end of wonder woman was terrible because to cj creations punching each other and so that unfortunately was sort of part of the end of of black panther but overall Great movie obviously very excited for the second one. Obviously the context is the tragedy of the loss. But yeah number. Five is going to be captain. America civil war so this is not technically in avengers. Movie it is a captain. America movie but it is effectively in avengers movie and it was great. I mean like really cranking up the conflict and making all of these different characters. choose which side. They're going to support having the philosophy battled about as they're actually battling each other was handled perfectly. Well perhaps not There's been great criticism. Of how the sort of conic scene of captain america's civil wars the airport fight like they're joking as they're fighting each other which makes for great cinema but doesn't really make sense that these longtime friends and allies would be joking as they're potentially killing each other okay but set that aside. The fights are some of the best. It might be one of the best big group battles. You know before we get to end game. You get a little bit more iron the introduction of spiderman you get the introduction of black panther. I think the winter soldier becomes a much more interesting character there. This movie did a lot of work in setting up the stuff that will happen later and watch it again..

Do you want any part of the say will all join together and the someone will punch an alien and be like earth bitch like. That's exactly. I would definitely happen. But it would be a hate crime. "We'll see we'll see how it will see marjorie green apparently Beyond just being at horrible Also apparently broke the law so channel two action news in atlanta revealed just a few days ago that it obtained paperwork public records request. That showed that the new congresswoman and her husband claimed what's called a homestead exemption on two properties one in fulton county and one in floyd county. Which is the district that green now represents remembering of course that she jumped district's to improve our chance of getting elected Which is something that people say that they don't like and yet they keep rewarding politicians for doing it anyway. What does this actually mean. Well it's a tax that lowers the amount of property tax at homeowners must pay on their homes but it can only be claimed for one house for fairly obvious reasons the owners primary residence. So you're supposed to choose one of those. They decided if one is good. Too is twice as nice. So in the county's floyd county application. Greens husband reportedly left blank. A question that asked whether they had an active homestead in another part of the state which is a note that we're going to return to but meanwhile fulton county confirmed to the tv network. The perez tax break on their home in that county was still active so they had simultaneous homestead exemptions in two different counties explicitly. What you're not supposed to do. And it is one thing spoiler alert. They're going to claim that it was just an oversight or whatever or that the county's made a mistake but when you are directly asked hey now. You don't already have one of these do you. And you're like. I didn't see that or this doesn't look like anything to me. That seems a bit more suspicious when you just you accidentally don't confirm or deny whether you're breaking the law. Francesca what are your thoughts. Look as someone who's terrible test taking. I have left a lot of boxes blank Like i feel like i identify with a little bit But i don't have to homes. I don't have one home so There you go Marjorie green in the end of the day is what so many maga- folks are which are are not the working poor. They're not blue-collar they are people who inherited a boatload of money from their dads or a boat itself and then are claiming that they're the they're the forgotten class that they in that class really means white people and we know that she's done this right like this is just again. It is par for the course it makes sense. I would be disappointed if she had been honest on her taxes. it's on brand and the brand will continue by the way so like Over on twitch. Let's see and find the comment Okay very smooth john. Oh yeah Ryan says this is clearly the left trying to cancel green. I bet this'll be her reply to this. We'll sort of and that's just all like gates. All of these updates have come out just devastating stuff from his best bud like a guy he trusts to share sexual partners and lines of coke with In his response is they're just they're just trying to cancel me. They're really coming for you. But i am in the wake the come on conservatives do not get bored with that like if we found out that like had run a guy down and buried him in the forest and she's like this is cancel culture. Run amok. I would want a little bit more than that. I think i'd want to know why she bought that shovel in that quick lime. I would want details but they don't they.

"Very specific And you're you're hundred percent right. Great news for matt gaetz as a previewed last week joel greenberg. his party. Bud formerly pleaded guilty monday to sex trafficking of a minor a host of other crimes agreeing to cooperate fully with prosecutors and testify in court in hopes of leniency for himself that is a relative leniency. Because he agreed to plead guilty to six different charges sex trafficking of a child aggravated identity theft. Wire fraud some of these come with a mandatory minimum sentence of twelve years and a statutory maximum potentially decades longer. But that said because of the deal that he's working out he might not serve that much time. In exchange for pleading guilty prosecutors agree to dismiss twenty seven other counts. He faced and recommend a term within federal sentencing guidelines which are often far less than the statutory maximum penalties. They also agreed to recommend other possible. Sentencing breaks if they determined for example that greenberg provided quote substantial assistance in building other cases. They might ask the judge to deviate below the minimum required penalty according to greenberg's plea agreement. So what might those other cases look like well. Prosecutors have been exploring whether greenberg paid women have sex with congressman robert gates whether the two shared sexual partners including the seventeen year. Old girl at issue in greenberg's own case so then wheels are turning francesca. Amy it's still america and greenberg is still a white conservative like elected officials. So he's probably going to be just fine or what he did by. This is not a good development for congressman. Oh i'm so glad. I didn't number activist just like greenberg. Engaged sharing sexual partners louisville. That'll bring up the edges just Yeah no my overages dried up like um sorry Do not reproduce. Men are trash. Talk no i look i. Part of me is like yes. Yes yes squeals squeal sale. It all tell it he wrote it all down trying to get a pardon from trump. Remember that through roger stone like oh my and you're so cute yes. Please tell us all about matt gaetz but also like it just makes you so mad right because we know our criminal justice system. We know who's locked up on like non violent drug offenses or on like who loses their lives over counterfeiting twenty dollar bill allegedly like a and yet again. We learned that gates and greenberg also. We're like coke buddies ray and there. They like you know they they had one of the women was like that they hung out with was an instagram model slash. Like we'd company dealer and who leg you know would court the young women. Just it's all gross like that party. Just don't go in room three to five or whatever like it's just one of those but anyway so what i'm saying is i hope there are actual. I hope something sticks. I hope it's not just oh we'll of you. You know if you ran on matt gaetz than that's fine like their drug possession. Charges here didn't know.

"Just likes the status quo. She's fine with it. It really doesn't bother her. What what gazans lives. Were like before the current violence or violence happening right now. That is not something about their sir. What bothers her is the idea that that might change as a result of pressure from politicians. Like ocasio cortez absolutely and what bothers her is that there is an invisible line for for no particular reason of what we can and cannot say when it comes to israel. Obviously we know the particular reason is because you'll be charged with anti-semitism right to say nothing to completely erase all the all the juice speaking out right now. All of the all of the people inside of israel have done so much work. No no they don't matter your answers semitic and so to say apartheid you're automatically anti semitic to say it's all about the benjamins you're automatically into somatic like anything that can be skewed anti semitic it will be an look. Even folks like nancy pelosi get. You know not even especially vocal again. Nancy pelosi get sucked into that. Bs narrative criticizing the state of israel or criticizing. The israeli lobby means you're anti semitic what meghan mccain needs to answer for is what conservatives think about israel palestine she needs to answer for the ways that republicans treat israel as some sort of nut. So revelatory like. This is armageddon spot when jesus comes back. And all of the jews are in israel in the holy place and then those who don't convert will parish and all of the christians will ascend to heaven that crazy theory that absolutely the alright in the united states the evangelical right believes in that's what meghan mccain is talk about. Okay 'cause you some people in your corner who are out of their minds who are anti semitic and islamophobic and do not give a damn about anyone's lives except their own okay. Let's talk about that. Let's talk about why they actually support israel it's because of their like weird biblical prophecy. That's not gonna happen guys up. There just suddenly interested in foreign aid and charity abroad.

"We. We've been talking about how we really do feel like there. There has been a noted shift between the twenty fourteen violence and now in how apparently looking at polls how a lot of americans see this issue. And and i cried a lot to social media and you know and the media in general being a little bit more willing to for instance highlight palestinian voices. Things like that But even politicians Speaking out like the the thirty senate democrats we talked about earlier sees comments. Like she's like so many of them would have been terrified at the prospect of tweeting. Something like that before. But now you have people like rashid. It's aleve giving speeches on the house floor That said there are those who want to go back to the old ways meghan mccain tweeted every single singles capitalize to democrat in congress. Congress isn't capitalist but single is in all caps anyway since elected democrat in congress should have to answer if they agree with ocasio cortez that israel's apartheid state technically she said apartheid states aren't democracies interesting that she fills in the blanks. I understand it's not a big leap at this point but you're doing the work but anyway meghan mccain added korb anisim has finally made its full and complete formation here to america which just grammatically a gigantic mess but anyway so many of us have been ringing the alarm bells for years with the damn finally bursting this week. Choose a metaphor and run. With the you've got bells you got dams. You got a lot going on there. Meghan mccain but the idea there is she wants punishment for ao. She wants to be cancelled or whatever. Hate that terminology. But she wants Some sort consequences pareos see for being willing to point out with something that seems fundamentally true. Meghan mccain doesn't even disagree. It's not that she actually believes that. You can maintain this sort of system and have it be a democracy worth a.

"First of all. they'll never see it. Thanks to the media bubbles that we exist and but if they did see it they would not be capable putting themselves in a position of that child or imagine what that life would be like the immediate horror of worrying that every day that you could be killed the long-term horror of believing. That's all that your life will ever be just fearing for the future and eventually potentially dying. Yep yeah but the whole i guests at least one silver lining maybe is that thanks to social media and thanks to media progressing very slightly in this issue being willing to acknowledge the fundamental humanity of palestinians that maybe that video will help to convince people may be critical coverage of the situation. There will will help move people and it's it's too late for biden. He's got decades of you know will do anything for israel will never question them whatever locked in but maybe someday we'll have a president that cares about that girl and what happens to were absolutely and it's what they think. The most devastating part of that video is that it doesn't matter that she's ten. You know. I mean it's it's really sweet. And she's so honest and and And it it means a lot when it's conveyed by a child of which there are so many like the average age in gaza is like seventeen or sixteen something like this but but it doesn't matter that she's ten. It doesn't matter that she's not a doctor. Doctors are being bombed. doctors are being targeted. If she grew up to be a journalist journalist was killed along with her two children she was pregnant. You know what i mean like. How many more stories of this do we need. And i do think though speaking of the media you know as someone who used to work for aj plus and who has been a big fan of al jazeera and their international coverage jazirah. Ten years ago was the only place that was actually covering a lot of what was going on in in israel palestine in iraq. All these other places and even just in the last ten years even since like let's say two thousand and nine in that war. The gaza war Or the israeli bombardment of gaza in two thousand and nine There's been a change like you can find out so much more information about what's actually going on and outlets whether it's like vox or buzzfeed or you know like it's not just. Ty t. teenage and aljazeera anymore like. There are many john oliver last night. Yes yes exactly. Basically a refined funnier version of what we've been saying for the past week. Yeah i got back. What i've been saying as less funny than you but you find and you would not have seen that fifteen years ago absolutely and so like it feels like it's the same and that's why i think we're so mad at biden because it's like it's not just we'd expect this. It's look around you there. The public opinion is it is changing. Get on board with this And it's because reality is is showing itself that this is to completely unjust. So yeah i'm heartened. I also think everyone does have a role to play look boycott divestment sanctions which is a movement that sadly a lot of democrats have decided is somehow bad. It's a non violent movement to take money out of israel and to not do contracts with you know a state that is brutalizing. Another people right. That's the idea. So the presbyterian. Church of the united states participated mbbs divested its holdings from israel. Like these are ways. That's what happened in south africa. These are ways that we can move forward and actually affect change agreed.

"Heal versus donald trump. no. I don't think there'd be any difference. Someone's suggesting trump would deport palestinians. Sure that might there might be there might be more hate crimes domestically as a result of insane islamophobic and know anti-palestinian things that would say. That's a good point it could. It can always be worse. I guess but the situation in gaza. I don't think it'd be that different. No you're totally one hundred percent the reaction would be at one hundred percent the same and somehow is and all my god. What is the biden administration. Doing the only thing. I would disagree with and what i think i would say. Is that the moment. That's lettuce us here for me has very much been the violence in east jerusalem. The displays on palestinian families something that was ongoing before trump was in office obviously and the contested. Not even contested. But the the in from israel in east jerusalem into those resident there in those families but the bombing of alex mosque the throwing flash bangs the gas that all to me says an emboldened israel emboldened by the brilliant work of baby face coverings and and donald trump who had israeli settlements and named after him. Oh my god so you know moving. The embassy to jerusalem. I think definitely was a sign that like the. Us is like a okay with you know settler colonialism and the fact. That biden hasn't moved it back. I know people say that doesn't matter. I think it matters. I'm sorry i think it does matter and so yes you're totally right. Look this happened in two thousand fourteen. Having dozen nine the us has been lean pretty much locked up the entire time. But i do think it gets worse. It has gotten worse for it. Hasn't even opportunity to potentially make it.

"It's an amazing situation. He's we just have a right to self defense and it's just going to run. Its course and oh. They're starting to run out of some of those j. dams. Maybe we can sell them some more and make some more money as this runs. Its course part of the course is our contractors making bank off of the murder of civilians. Yep no and. I think that's important. Remember every time you know the biden administration or anyone says this is part of our strategic goals in the region. What are those goals. Can you tell me what those goals are to displace. Palestinian people is at the goals. The goal you know sort of a a a an occupied territory. That is no more than just absent of the palestinian people is it ethnic cleansing. Is it a part. What is your goal right because the us has no. What's the goal. Why are you supporting israel. What what are we doing are we. Are you helping attack. Iranian like so-called nuclear facilities to just sort of dust up with that country and like make us look bad because israel's real good at doing that like what else are you doing. Are you like or are we working with saudi arabia to make sure that we do not enact any kind of consequences when they kill and maim and dismember a journalist. Cool cool cool. What is our goal truly and honestly what what happens if we just leave. What happens if we stop giving money to israel. My guess is it gets better. They've got a pretty fully functional Domestic weapons production industry. I think that they would be okay with this. Great you know we. We give money to fossil fuel companies..

"They'll support that. Well that's amazing. Well what's the what are they going to oppose it. What that means literally nothing if the israeli military decides to stop bombing gaza. We won't oppose that. That's an amazing statement. And and by the way they're not pushing for a statement at the un. What are you talking about. We spent all last week blocking statements condemning this action at the un that is the effect that the us add internationally in terms of the diplomatic battle. That's being faced right now. And by the way since the secretary of state saying we're just going to wait and see what the israeli government decides to do. Well here is what they've been saying. Recently a televised address. Benjamin netanyahu said israel's attacks were continuing at full force and would quote take time. Israel wants to levy a heavy price on the hamas milton group. He said flanked by his defense minister and political rival bennigan's in a show of unity. Reminding us of the domestic political concerns that underlines entire thing but he they want to levy a heavy price on the hamas milton group. The the the problem though is that that price a currency of it is children and dead civilians. Not mainly hamas militants. Because when you fire on a building that has an office you say is is occupied by hamas even if we lend you the goodwill to assume that that's correct without the evidence being provided to wasn't they've said that it will not be the entire building goes down those people died people in the area die or are displaced and something like forty two thousand palestinians. Family have already lost their homes. That's the price that is being levied. Hamas is going to regroup. They're going to fire or rockets in the future. That's what they do. But the civilians those are the people that are currently paying the price francesco. I mean honestly. This is where we're seeing some of that status quo joe You know No no whatever. My brain is not working but The status quo. Joe nickname there. We go nomenclature. What are we talking about. Kind of fits. But the status quo joe. Yeah nickname is really fitting right now when it comes to the middle east which is sad because this is a guy who wants to get out and supposedly getting out of afghanistan. Yes there's going to be a bunch of troops leftover but for all intents and purposes. He's were leaving afghanistan. Right obama iraq. Like these were important steps to get the united states out of the middle east. It seemed like biden wanted to reshape. what the. Us's role isn't a lot of his language has been about sort of look. What are we doing there. Were not helping. And yet when it comes israel palestine and the idea that the united states does not have a role to play. Or they're going to wait or that they pray for a ceasefire. Oh they hope as biden said this will run. Its course that it'll be over soon. Which is just the most callous way to talk about human lives and israel's decision to continue to bomb and kill them to run. Its course to be done over with bill form government pretty soon and then it'll all be over. I imagine if those two thousand lives that were lost in twenty fourteen were all israeli. But the last thing i'll say is just that it is. The ball is in the united states. Eat is on them to put pressure on israel full. Stop that is where you start to. Untangle this entire mess and look man is biden. Want to continue obama's legacy that guy did put a little bit of space. Sure a lot of it was toothless. But he condemned israeli settlements. He said that. Netanyahu was a pain but like all those things do much about it but yes. He did say he didn't do much. He annoyed the hell out of netanyahu who came to speak at the united in the united states congress without even telling the president president. But what i'm saying is is sign. That biden is not serious about changing. The united states is role in the middle east and to be honest. I think he's actually missing the mark when it comes to where the majority of people are in the united states and our role what it shows i agree and and and even a lot of democrats are like. There's thirty senate democrats calling for a ceasefire that is not the same thing by the way as necessarily wholly embracing a fundamentally new approach to the issue of of israel and palestine but they at least are calling for ceasefire which secretary of state is not and biden. The access headline some insiders are starting to worry about him doing too much too fast. Becoming hyper. fdr basically. What are you talking about talking about running. Its course running. Its course as if this is like the israeli military as a case of restless legs syndrome. You just gotta deal with it for a few minutes. No like they are killing people now. We're the we love getting involved in what's going on in other countries and now we have an opportunity where potentially we can use our great influence weather in terms of the military. Our economy soft power all of that to stop some civilian deaths. Because like i don't want us to hit twenty two hundred more lives lost in this most recent conflict. This could beat. It's already devastating but it could be much worse in just a few weeks if we choose not to act and that is what biden is choosing even though we have an insane amount of leverage with billions of dollars of military aid basically for free status. We don't need anything for it. We won't use that influence for literally anything we just. Yeah we'll just give you the money and then occasionally weapons to try and make some money. And that is continuing to the administration just approving the sale of seven hundred and thirty five million dollars in precision guided weapons to israel. Now congress does get to get involved in that will see. The current situation affects that in any way but right. Now it's.

But let's catch up a bit on what's going on. Diplomatic efforts appeared. Stalled as the level of destruction was quickly escalated. The kind of violence that had not been seen since the last major conflict way back in two thousand fourteen. That was a battle that ultimately claimed twenty two hundred lives rendered large areas of the gaza strip uninhabitable. You'll very little had actually been repaired in terms of electrical and you know water infrastructure of course by the way so that was a quote from the times which by the way their coverage is fine on the topic the reference there a battle that ultimately claimed twenty two hundred lives and i thought wait a second the breakdown on that buddy and so yeah no more than twenty one hundred of those twenty two hundred were palestinians.

"Of your house first of all before i get into. Can you confirm off the record around the record of it's actually someone from my family. This was someone else somebody else. Are you serious. This isn't good at all. they may have. Maybe they got it from somebody in your family so before you even get into. What is what is in the front of your house. That i want to have a real problem with i have a. I'm not a. I'm not a team flag person at all. I just think listen. I mean by your gear by your jerseys. Whatever like we don't need you waving a flag of your team in front of your house. that's already i. You know my dad's saints not. My dad tried to do it once. It didn't last very long. I was like dad. What are you doing when we think this is. This is weird but if you are if you are going to do it you've got you've gotta have a dedication to your team at all times so my my issue is I don't agree with that because one person in house definitely has a light that went to school. There's a definitely as we wouldn't even have to give it away yet. World things. Like if you're a raiders fan right so you people listen to our podcast. Many many raiders fans and we love all. it's great. But if you're a raiders fan and you're going to fly that flag you fly that flag with they're seven and nine you fly that flag within foreign twelve that gives you that gives you the rights to their to then fly the flag for the super bowl. If you're a raiders fan and you have a flag eater garage and you keep it there until they're plaguing the super bowl and then you wave it. You're not a fan. No this is not acceptable l. Fight away This has been very soon after graduation. So it's not like we follow this. This is a team for like twenty years. And only when they're did we put it out and it's a very new thing for a young man in the house who graduated from the school so when he just graduated last year. So i think this is okay. It's not like if it's been twenty years and the first time we've done it that's one thing like i'm a dodger fan larry's adopted any you know if i have when i fly when they're bad course. That never happens anymore but we're going back. They've been bad. And i fly it now. One of the best baseball. It's not a dodger i get. I don't have no. But i understand what you're saying. So you in front of your house right now. As of just this week are flying a baylor. Baylor bears flag wait. We ordered before this took a while before what they've been the number one number one or two t while year we ordered it before the sweet sixteen for a number one seed in the tournament decided to order a baylor flag. you're flying. you're flying baylor flag now. I've said this before and i'll say it again. With the amount of money. I sent to waco. I should have ten flags. So i am not going to apologize for this. The sun with the baylor. He's very excited about how the team is a one seed. We said that people in the neighborhood do this. The guy across the street. Well he moved now. Eighty was one of your guys michigan. I saw that mazen blue flag every saturday when they played foot by find out here it goes again. Here's joe red jack. Whatever his name was these flag flying the flag. So yes yes dammit. Number one seed. We were sitting around like and be nice to have a flag like everybody else went on amazon. Now i will tell you. And i said on my show this morning i believed it was more like of a small like garden. I did not know when it came to the box. My wife walked in with would be taller than like red rock. I had no idea about that. So i'm going to say that but once we took it out and of course bonnie had to put the flight bowl because i. I'm not mechanical at all i I didn't do anything with that. I came down the street from. I was out the other day. I can't on the street. you can see this thing pretty much two miles away waving in the wind. That's an we're talking the the the the flag top of the white house. That's how big this is. This is yes. I saw the i saw the picture. Yep west passed so you have a daughter at a different school. Why is that school flag hanging. I got question i said. Get to this week between iraq right. That's what that's my point. This is my point. You have to support the all times. Not just in times of success. I'm a front runner. I like i like. I like winners adam. Winners at this house and newest he's never going to be this. Which seeks the sweet sixteen to worry about that you also have a. I mean your son went to a different school before this one whereas the gw got one when they won the nit but they beat my alma mater. santa states. i put that this is the point. You even support them all the time or you support them. None of the time slot here. I just came to me. You might have sent this to you. Is this the same person who ripped my leather jacket. In fact i have hiking poles on my heights. Reveal my source. Must attempt april-september my wife. Because i sent that the flag on bill so the pictures now are going from one person to the nets are circulating around about. I was very happy with my my. Dm lit up with a photo of the front of your house yesterday. I was very very excited about that. I i feel like it and listeners. Out there please. If you're going to support your team support your team at all times not as you. Don't do this only with her in the playoffs. Only when they're in the sweet sixteen this is. This is not how phantom is done. I would say this and what you're talking about and that really guarantees. I support the winning team. But it is an enormous. It's we're almost worried that if augusta win hits it at the right time whoever's coined the garage the flag will cover the windshield and we're like crash. Into something that's a big it's also noxious color. Well that's color. How can you get that. I mean what are you know. We're not going to get past that. That's the colors. Pavement of colors of the school. I don't find this acceptable at any level. I can't believe he sent you. Take this die. Please did his own life out there in california what. What's wrong with this guy. He didn't like my leather jacket. Then the minute. I went on a hike with guy. Didn't say one thing about it had hiking poles with me. I admit that long hours. And he sees you that day and runs over to you and starts talking about the hiking people's and now he circulating pictures of my house with the baylor flag out front because they've got a chance to the final four. Were front runners at the house and no circulating those pictures. Unbelievable with this guy. I'm texting this guy after this park ac- name in print the brakes on taking shots. He's got provide now. That trump route has gone. We need somebody providing us that content so we appreciate it. I think we can still read. Trent brown tweets. Even though he's gone not apologizing for you brought this up for me to apologize then. I'm not doing it. I'm not apologize you in the more mortar. Shame it's about shaving because this is not. This is not acceptable. Fan behavior. everson normal snail acceptable behavior. I have no jersey's never wanna jersey. I refuse to jerseys so i'm not that kind of fandom i literally like the dodgers larry. There's not many teams. I keep reading boring. You and i both know that because of the business wherein and you can lose over the years literally just like all right whatever game over the weekend right. There's a pro. We're kind of in the same boat there by love my kids and one of them's a true winner who went to the sweet sixteen. I'm going to support him the other one. She hasn't been to the sweet sixteen yet so when she gets. This week's might go back on amazon and by flag. mersal.

"What his alleged motivations would've been so we'll identify. The suspect. is gregory poll. you'll rick authorities wouldn't get into specifics about his history but they did say that he has a history of run ins with law enforcement. We have had several calls for service. Regarding mr you'll rick dating back to two thousand three he was specifically targeting this medical center or someone who worked there and there certainly is a history of Him being unhappy with with healthcare and with the health care that he received the only thing that sort of gives us a glimpse of what police are looking at is that they said they believe that he was unhappy for some reason with the type of care that he had received or was receiving and they believe that somehow had something to do with what triggered him right and i it was going to say. We're still getting information. I don't wanna draw larger meanings before we know more. I guess the first thing that goes through my mind alex. It's just how scary it is that it would happen. Ed medical center where this year of all years. It's such a highly charged environment. You do have people who've question the medical establishment because of all these stressors on the system. We'll see what comes out later tonight. Alex perez thank you. Thanks breath do you think it's time for schools to reopen. I they time for school through open safely safely later today. The cdc is expected to lay out new guidelines on how to safely reopen schools. Which might seem kind of late right but schools are still confused over. At what point are there teachers and students safe. You have to have fewer people classroom. You have to have ventilation systems that had been reworked in fact is the number of corona virus cases. Seems to drop. And the sliver of americans vaccinated grows wider little by little. There is still a ton of confusion over when it is safe to open anything up that includes people who have been more or less sealed off from the outside world for nearly a year. Now i really feel like joe like i can't go anywhere. I can't do anything lonely because they have been able to get out. You can't see people you can't see your family talking about nursing. Homes at many nursing homes vaccine distribution is actually going all right so when do families finally get to see their loved ones. Abc's lower romero's been looking into this. Laura can we just start with. What is the last year been like for nursing home residents so kovin and teen began to sweep through the halls of long-term facilities across the nation. Very early on and what we've seen is they've been completely devastated. Nursing and assisted living facilities have accounted for roughly six percent of the nation's covid nineteen infections but close to forty percent of all deaths. And now we're coming up on a year since families had complete access to their loved ones growing recognition of the toll inside nursing. Got a phone call. This morning that she passed three thirty in the morning we are strongly advising that nursing homes for the elderly suspend all medically unnecessary visits on march. Talk know facilities across the country closed their doors to visitors and since then families have had very limited access to their relatives as window with lots of signs and family pictures. But i'm putting a new picture up today surprise and right now. Each state has some form of visitation guidance. But really they are leaving the level of access up to nursing home management could hug you and so right now. We are seeing our family. Speaking out they're filing lawsuits against nursing homes another long term care facilities because of continued strict visitation rules. Wow and so i guess. I sympathize with families that are you know. They're watching their relatives vaccinated. They're like still can't see them. But why the sense of urgency. I guess to file a lawsuit like why. Why can't visit wait for another month if it's been eleven months already so for many families. It's not just about the weekly one hour visit. Many family members of nursing home residents are what you call essential visitors so we just wanna make sure she's okay. I'm going to bring her some clean clothes. And hopefully we can get in so they're performing a lot of assisted daily living tasks that nurses and other stuff members. Don't do the perform special therapies. Do they provide emotional support so for them. It's much more than just a regular visit. You and we miss you. Dads you listen but all you really want is to be there for them and you know hopefully hold their hand and goodbye. People are getting that. I spoke to someone who is suing a nursing home in new york because the facility is only allowing her to visit her husband wants per week but because she is an essential care visitor she was used to spending about forty hours a week. Conducting neuro therapies. Another assisted living task for her husband. Who suffers from a neuro degenerative disability for her. You know her husband need her. It was just devastating to see a wife who is used to being there forty hours a week and now being shutout from seeing her husband in that case you talked about in new york laura. The nursing home has told abc news. It's working at a plane with the white but it just the whole point is she's not that unique right like this happened. So why don't you just let the families visit their loved ones now. Well remember brat. Kobe vaccine's they're not one hundred percent effective. All feel a lot better than i have a vaccine in me. You know but nobody really knows that much about it. So just because residents receive the vaccine that does not necessarily mean that the are out of the woods they can still get the virus and we know that. Both the modern on pfizer vaccine. They're only about ninety percent efficient. And you know there's also a good number of staff members who have not taken the vaccine which means they could be exposed to the virus and walgreens recently announced that sixty percent of staff in nursing homes declined the vaccine so right now there are a lot of people in these facilities that are.

Alex perez sixty percent new york Laura forty percent today new york laura eleven months one hour last year nineteen infections six percent Ed medical center later tonight two thousand Both one hundred percent forty hours a week This morning Each state

"I don't know about off the top of my head. But i got to covered criminal trials for a long time and that was not the best presentation by bruce. Castor did emerge from it. Something clear he said if you go forward with this was kind of a threat. There will be no end to impeachments when the pendulum swings. Perhaps the next person that gets impeached and has sent here for you to consider eric holder during fast and furious the attorney general of the united states or any other person that the other party considers to be a political danger to them down the road. Because of even said eric holder president obama's general could be hauled in an impeach. Now there's a big difference. President trump was impeached while he was in office but relic actual impeachment already happened. Yes this is the trial of the impeachment. There's two stages. This is an untenable combination that literally puts the institution of the presidency directly at risk. Now david shown you know he was angry was the authentic trumpy note in there right. He was he was railing against against the impeachment and and the notion that donald trump could be put on trial. Every civil officer who served is at risk of impeachment if any given group elected to the house decides the what was thought to be important service to the country when they served now deserves to be cancelled and he said he warned that if trump goes forward will be. You know. there'll be something almost as bad as the civil war whack by the attorney did not make any arguments at all rambled on and on and on and at the end of the day. Senators were not hugely impressive. I mean they lost one. Vote president trump's team where disorganized everything. They could to talk about the question at hand. Bill cassidy republican senator from louisiana. Actually said you know. He came in with an open. Mind and trump's lawyers lost his vote on impartial. Juror and one size doing a great job and the other side's doing a terrible job on the issue at hand as impartial juror. I'm going to vote for the side of the did a good job right. They lost his vote as far as like the constitutionality. Should we actually have this trial. Is it constitutional the answer. According to a majority of senators was yes so theoretically that question is answered. The question now is is he guilty. They're going to start on that today. But terry if you're the democratic house managers what what more is there to do like you've already shown your big movie. Yeah that's a great point. That looked the movie. As you pointed that is so visceral it takes you right back to that moment and infuriates your civic soul of. You've you've got any the question is can they tie it tightly to donald trump. And i think that's where they're evidence really has to go that to show step by step what he said what he did and what he didn't do telling the capital telling people the capital. Frankly was my message to him over an hour ago which is tell them to get out. This is where the choice not to call. Witnesses is important because one of the most damning piece of evidence might be what did donald trump actually say when people said you got to say something. You've got to send assistance up there. And by all accounts he did not an eyewitness to that moment i think would be very powerful for them but they don't open that pandora's boxing is. We've heard the house impeachment. Managers might want to call witnesses. But there's just so much political pressure from democrats from the biden administration just to please move on. That's this up because to convict someone you need sixty seven votes that seventeen republicans so unless we see even. Bigger surprises are nowhere. Close that number right now. Wherever you listen to the other thing to keep your eye on today is what new details we get from the town of buffalo minnesota move onto the other news this tuesday evening. The shooting at a health clinic in minnesota several shot five people rushed to hospitals a suspicious package because yesterday morning out of nowhere. Police there began hearing about a mass shooting at a medical center. Let's go to abc's alex perez. Who's been covering this alex. Can you walk us through this yesterday. Like what do we know about what happened so far overhead. Still a lot of unanswered questions but some terrifying horrifying moments for people at this medical center in buffalo minnesota. Ten fifty four am being received nine one one call. I assume there was some kind of a shooting possible Hostage situation a lot of cops and pulled up to the door. Then the ambulance. I mean there's probably four or five analysts right away it happens late in the morning authority. Say this suspect sixty seven year old. Who they say they're familiar with walked into this facility and opened fire just getting ready to drop her off at the door and two of the nurses came running out to my vehicle and got in. They said they heard but eleven shots within a minute. I heard this man. Say the down on the ground. And i turned and i saw the back to this man had a gun. You can imagine medical centers. Hospitals are always busy always filled with people employees and also patients so there was a complete scramble shock to the back of the building take and there was a young over there with all and they just ran out but i was just kind of i people trying to get out of there trying to get somewhere safe when all of this was going on during the secondary search We also found a suspicious package in the corner of the lobby. And then to make matters worse. There was a scare of there being a possibly an explosive device. They're minneapolis bomb squad. Help them diffuse. What they believed was an explosive device there but just really some terrifying moments for people who were trying to do their job trying to work at this medical center right. In originally five people rushed to the hospital. One of them is now defined overnight. This is a fatal shooting at this point. Alexander when i hear i e dis like when i hear the guys known.
