"Is raising awareness in the category so women. There's lots of women like me and maybe you that have been getting blowouts and figuring out our whole lives. But then there's a huge subset of women who didn't really even know where to blow out was and so now those women are starting to get blowouts which is helping all of us so in a lot of ways like I'm glad that there are other copycats and whatever because it does it does really raise awareness and I you know I do really want women everywhere to have access to it and we only have one hundred and thirty stores. It's not like we can be everywhere all the time. So you know it's like a double edge sword I guess and so in the beginning it would really like sweat it out and be like Holy Shit and begin but I think that we do have a secret sauce and there is something that we're doing that nobody else is doing. Very humbly that. I I don't get stressed about it but I certainly keep my eye on all competitors. Everybody's doing I'm sure that the people who work in Jibeir where like what they want is that they take. They want within within like certain guards. Are there basically like historically? When I worked in traditional hair salons. I was wearing like you were told to either like all blocker alway very like but I didn't want to do that. I wanted style is to have the. I wanted them to be able to express themselves but within still some confined so it was like you can wear basically our colors. You can wear black white denim. You know and yellow and any combination kind of of that. So yeah you know a that. That gives you a lot of options. I don't want you wearing bright pink because that would clash with the string but other than that you know. Silence have a lot of autonomy to what they can wear. Yeah I've noticed that because I do feel like salons and everyone's all in black and Mike okay so serious. We're not that serious. And the you know they wear the yellow apron which is like kind of like a unifier uniforms. Everybody which I like but yeah no. I like them to be able to wear what they want. I think he's Nice. Yeah I WANNA do quick speed round okay. So just answer. The first thing that comes to mind okay. What's the last thing that you bought? I just bought a jacket from the great where I'm waiting for. You had called enough to where it's awesome it's long and what was your first concert Prince. Ooh Yeah it was. It was too young and Sheena Easton was doing some really questionable things the drums. I was a little traumatized from that. But it was of fucking amazing concert. And he such a legend. What would be your last meal on earth? It's such a sad question but what would it be? Okay let's decide question but no but I think if I hear anything day meal Definitely French fries of some sort and like fried chicken. French fries and Fried Chicken. How do you fall asleep at night? Like how do you unwind? Well I tend to my kind of nighttime routine involves like transcendental meditation which I do actually in the morning and at night. It's Kinda how I start and not in my aches as soon as I wake up before like even opened my blind and then I will do it when I get home after you know more like around five six o'clock but then I you know I've I get my kids down and I'm like in bed I love to watch a TV show. Because I feel like it just takes my mind out of my reality and puts it on something else. I'll do that and then I'll usually write in my journal and then I will fall asleep to like meditation APP. There's one caller ARA it a U. OF A. You are you think. And they have great like they can be like three or seven minutes. That's usually how I when I fall asleep to. What's the most you've ever spent like a single piece of clothing? Oh Man Gosh I mean under a thousand dollars but I think I've probably spent. Oh yeah nothing. I can't make that to clarify. I was like oh not that. That's that's all. I think it's like a blazer you know like I think I have spent a lot of money on a good blazer but that's a really good staple purchase that you have for years. Yeah Yeah Cool. Spend the money on the Blazer and my last question is what era do identify with most fashion wised. I feel like like the Victorian. I love those dresses. I feel like there's a part of me that we should like. We could all like. We'RE REALLY FANCY DRESSES. That are like really cinched in other ways and like big body like the big you know. Yeah I was just. I just watched the movie legends of the fall. Do you remember that? I mean that's not quite that error but you know. They wore dresses like casually riding horses. And I'm like I'm Torian dress.

"Hey guys it's bobby bones host the bobby bones show and I'm pretty much always sleepy because I wake up at three o'clock in the morning a couple hours later I get all my friends together so we get into a room and we do a radio show. We share our allies. We tell our stories. We try to find much good in the world if he possibly can and we looked through the news of the day that you'll care about also your favorite country. Artists are always stopping by to hang out and share their lives and music too so wake up with a bunch of my friends on ninety eight point seven W M Z Q in Washington DC or wherever the rotates you on the iheartradio APP every fascinated by this debate when you first started realizing that your oh. I'm successful. I'm like I have money like that first moment. Was there something that you remember distinctly going to buy like your Big Lake? Yeah that one. Yeah I mean I remember actually more remember my brother Michael. We we own equal shares the business and all that are like wealth or whatever has like current together so he for Christmas probably like Gosh like five years ago. Four years ago. Bought me my first. Selene bag and I almost like died and I was like Holy Shit. I have made it. I have this bag which by the way I think since sold that bag it was like the one that looks like face you know it was so popular like years ago but should have held onto it because it was a feedback lane. I know I know maybe some anyways but yeah and I remember thinking like Whoa. I made it. I've made and I didn't even buy it for myself but the fact that my brother could buy it from right and that I could carry it you know I felt really cool and excited you know and then like over the years like being able to like by. I'm still very here. When I was growing up. My parents had their own business and they had. They had moderate modest success. And my but my mom and I would go shopping every Saturday. Religiously it was like our thing and she was always like she always made me shop sales like she's like a sale shopper and it and I did it because it was my only option and she was like you know loved getting more quantity than quality. And I think because of that. It's kind of twofold because part of me like there's that is ingrained in me that I'm just going to look for a deal but then there's other part of me that's like fuck it. I'm GONNA just go. I don't WANNA I don't WanNa ship sift through all this. I just want to buy y you know which version my mom passed away a couple of years ago but I know it's like my mom my mom would be looking down being like that but there's something about being able to do that but I'm but I'm pretty pretty good about knowing my limits and I'm definitely not shopping online chanel floor when I'm shopping. I'm just I just can't it's going to think are there things twice often about shopping or bad purchase about what I'll spend? Yeah Yeah I do I really do. And you know. And I'm fortunate that I get a lot of discounts from a lot of great designers. You know we're just kind of a funny thing as you get more more successful unknown hours. That's then everybody starts doing you. Know it's like the biggest thing for your. You know my friends who have like companies and stuff. I'm like just let me pay for it. You know because I want to support and whatever but it is interesting and so promote that stuff but yet no I do think twice about I still. I think it's because of my parents and my mom and grading that it's still really hard for me to buy something that it's different. I feel like for bags and shoes because you get so much. Wear out of them but like a top that is trendy and not going to be something. I WANNA wear in a few months like I don't want to spend that much money on it but there are things that I will you know and like when I want something like really tailor fit really well which I ended up taking so much closer to Taylor anyways because I'm so short and I get things taken in all the time like reformation is also one of my favorite brands but a lot of times they have to get that stuff like taken in is. Because I'm so short you know I do that to people telling me that your stylus telling me that years ago like if you really want like you're close to look really good on you have to get them. Taylor and I'm like what what in now I get it. You know. There's things that you have to get tailored and I get. Things made a little shorter. Has I'm taller. I mean I wish Solar George I want to look taller so things have on like the cost of the tailoring like extra ever I love like reformation has really great sales I just bought a bunch of stuff speaking of shopping and trenches I just bought a bunch of stuff because they had a massive sale and it was like you know the same designs you know. So there's a couple of things I had to get tailored but yeah. I think it's so exciting when there's a brand that I love. That has a sale sample sale. I go crazy for the Ghani Sale. I don't know if you love gone. I have bought some of their stuff but I love their stuff I I have a nine month old baby and good. Oh thanks all the moms so when I was probably in my ninth month misses a story but I was in my ninth month and there is a huge Ghani sale like online and I was like holy like the prices were insane like like three hundred dollar dresses. We're like fifty five dollars and like I was so excited that I bought. I just put everything in a cart. I figured like okay. I'll wear like after the baby weight and I told my husband. I'm more excited for this guy. And he was like. Oh Jesus today Mary what. I'm more excited for this sale. Like I was I get it. I feel you like the damn baby coming out I was. It's weird how I think. Shopping is a high. You get idea if you love it. I love it too and I get such a high for me because I think the psychology of it is that there's an excitement about like how you're gonNA look and how you're ultimately gonNA feel I've also like in the last couple of years made myself like not by something unless I'm so excited to wear. I WOULD WANNA wear it right now because I used to find. I'd be like maybe and I like this but I'm not sure but I'm like no. No that's the tabligh it unless you're like. I want to put it on right now. Where the store? That's so funny I always say that. Would you wear this right now? The answer is yes it. Would you buy this right now? Like the answer's Yes. Whatever your by exactly and I find myself like Nordstrom. The other day I was I had a bunch of stuff and I was going to buy it and then there was like a long line and then I was like tear. Really need this mosaic. Put Back I do that too. I feel like if there's a long line decide well if I love this stuff alway always tell how much you love is thing when you're like oh they'll lines to putting it back. Yeah I did not need to own that item and it was like another pair of jeans and like another t shirt I was like. Do I really need this. No no exactly I talking about money as women especially can be so awkward and so weird but I'm also like very curious about like women's habits as they as they get more money. Yeah and I'm wondering how after after you came super successful like what are you. Spend your money on like apart from clothing like what you love to. Yeah what do you like I on? Well I mean I think it is interesting. You're right because I feel like women are. Don't talk about this stuff and you know one of my good friends. Jamie who started a cosmetics and she was on the cover cosmetic yeah. It's it's amazing company. And she was on the cover for being Forbes or one of those magazines for one of the richest women and and I was like. It's not make you uncomfortable to be on there for people to know and she was like a did. I resisted it for a long time. She's like but then I started to feel like I want to own it and to be okay for women to talk about the fact that they have wealth. Whatever and I know it's so interesting I think for me. I get a little weird with it because I have older kids and I don't know I worry about trying to kidnap them. I'm so weird about that because I've heard that I wouldn't have thought of that. Yeah well because we were on vacation a couple years ago. I think we're in New Zealand and we had a driver who has had driven the founder the founder but one of the family members now running in and out Burger and she had a bodyguard with her because he was telling us his whole story how she has a bodyguard. 'cause she has kids and she's had. I mean there were billions. I mean I'm though we're like mountain or in the vicinity of her. What she has but that they you know they go everywhere the bodyguard. They've had kidnapping threats. You know so I'm like I don't really want to put it out there so I really would not have thought of that. And that that's like a real thing to manages known business is how I feel about it and I've been asked to be lots of different lists about that kind of stuff and I'm like I always turn it down. I think it's one thing to talk about it. Like this is forum and talk about the things that I like to do to put my exact net worth and all of that out for the world. See just it makes me. It's not what you're into. Yeah and it's not that I don't. I'm not proud of it. I mean obviously I have a lot of success and I've you know my life and my lifestyle has changed and you know. I'm proud of that but I also don't think that it's any anybody's business to know anybody's not worth really frankly but but to answer your question and to backtrack a bit. I I do think what I what I spend my money on besides shopping. Enclose is also a lot of wellness. I mean I we started this new concept called squeeze and it's kind of a joke because I'm like am I still the number wrong simmer because I'm there so much and that was always a thing for me. Which is why we started this concept reporter. Why we saw it started because getting a massage to me is like one of my favorite things to do to relax. So you know I. I spend my money a lot on. Well is I go. I get like all the face treatments. You know I go to Shawny Darden I asked GonNa Keep Somerville and I do you know every like all the things the lasers the Micronesia and appeals. Do all that Shit and you know and to me like some of that stuff is very expensive but that is important to me and it's like it makes me feel better when my skin is like Khloe and as I'm getting older it's like that stuff is important to me so I will spend money on that and a lot of wellness stuff and like I go to a regular and I'll spend money on. That's important to me too so a lot of like wellness things seen. I went to a retreat last year in Nashville. It's called onsite where it's like a week long. You totally like they. They take your phone. You're like out in the middle of the Wilderness and doing a lot of therapy and healing. And whatever and again this is part of the year I had and it was expensive but I was like there's really nothing more worth it than like my mental well like health and wellbeing. So you know. I'm big into spending money on like self care and wellness retreat. Sounds amazing. All Mine I go. It was life. Changing for me is really great. Really Yeah I mean it's again for me. It was like I was going through a divorce. And just you know kind of suffering from my situational depression and just having to deal with all of that and and so it was just a really tough time and I was doing. I mean I still go to therapy and do all of that stuff but it was a really good like break to like take a step out of my life detach and and you know. Get some like mental clarity.

So it Kinda you know. I got all over the place with but I do like something. That's bold. That doesn't blend in. I guess is the best way to put it. Do you consider yourself a shopper. Oh my God you are impediment. God it's like you know and I went through phase. I have to say I mean not to get too heavy to hear but divorce last year and before that I was I feel like my shopping had gotten really out of control and I feel like my brother. He's always a all. This shopping is to fill a void or a hole in your life and it just made me so defensive and I'm like that's not true and then this past year I was going through my divorce I was like I don't really have desire to shop. Anywhere is just like a very emotional spiritual healing you year for me and my shopping habits like chilled out a little bit and I was kind of like sad and down and now I'm in a much better place than I am. I have started shopping again like crazy. I just love passion and clothes and I wish I and I love. I love days where I have like several events and have to change outfits in the middle of the day. Love that too. Yeah it's like I just love being a girl I love clothes and changing it up and I love seeing what other people are wearing. I constantly take ideas from what other people are doing wearing and try them on myself me too. That's the best. Yeah and I ask people all the time g like. Where's that from wherever I get that like your necklace? I'M GONNA I'M GONNA go get that necklace. Tony not to though I feel no shame. Walking to and makes people feel really good too. I mean I I encourage anybody who's listening to this like it feels really nice when someone comes up to you and says I love that or you look great or whatever it is. You know it's like it can brighten somebody's Day and then you can find that Pete that shirt or whatever you feel like it has to be real though I hate when people. I just have a thing where I can tell when people compliment me no reason. I know what you mean. Somebody once said to me. I'll never forget this. I was shopping in a store. And one of the salesgirls it was like. Oh my God I love your t shirt. It was a white t shirt that had mustard on it from the Chinese. Like a few minutes before she did not love. My teacher was a yeah it was authentic and I love it and I was like you don't love it. Be Real about it. Yeah but if you really love something like I gravitate toward it and be like. Where'd you get that Taiwan somebody to invent like an APP where you can like? Hold up your phone to like with someone's wearing and like it'll pop up where he came from and how you can buy it. It's amazing I feel we're versions of that. Have tried to the Awesome Meteo. But it's not quite there yet and I want it so bad. I know I'm such instagram shopper. Constantly buying stuff that I see and I don't care. I know people like our so freaked out like you know instagram. And all these you know social media platforms are targeting. You and they know the things that you like. Yeah freaks people get but I kinda love it. I'm like I we all the cute boots I wanNA see. What's New York and they also Google? Because I find that like I've been doing a lot more? Follow a lot of like wellness people. But I've been googling a lot about wellness and all of a sudden. I'm seeing instagram ads for various vitamins and supplements. And it's frigging hello. I'm googling a lot because I have neck pain and all of a sudden these pillow and I buy them to sucker issues such a consumer and you know my ex husband was in advertising and he gets his kick out of the fact that like I would believe anything I saw like on. Tv or commercial an atom. Like Oh this thing does getting it. And he's like really do that. I'm like does Mazda shop every day not every day you know. I feel like at this point. It goes in like what's the word it was gonNA say splurges like every couple of like. I'll see something and then I'll go on like a little bit of a spree like I literally just and I also love when like new things. New BRANDS COME OUT LIKE REBECCA. Taylor is one of my favorite designers and they just I saw something where they have like all new arrivals and I mean I went through their site like picked out like twelve things. Holy Shit. There's so many things I like and you know. How are your favorite designers like some seasons? You like some seasons you. Don't I mean the her season this now right now is is so amazing? You should look at their site. This stuff is so herself is so good. And so and then my the great they came out with a bunch of new stuff so I kind of tend to like jump on things when there's like the new collections. Come out and I load up and then I tend to like take a break for a while and like. I haven't bought new shoes in a while. I'm Kinda do for new shoes but I'm I'm such a boot girl. I want to wear boots every exam. Ready FOR LA to get cooler. Where so if you're let's say today you're going to get a new pair boots. Where would you go or what say would you look at I? Well I have so many boots from Nina being to know her. Gosh she makes the best boots. Yeah her stuff is super like I literally probably have like a boots from her. And she's the nicest most humble gracious giving person ever but you're alike not above like going into Zara. No No. I'm such like hi Lo Shopper. You know it's like today like what I'm wearing these. This shirt was from Planet Blue. And it's kind of expensive but gene. Frazar but then I'm wearing golden goose sneakers so right it's a mix of of Sophon. Yeah like I will. I still get excited when I go into target and by who what where I love with. Those girls are doing great stuff. It's great yeah so I'm you know I'm all over the board.

"Casey the picture leads off against weapons and with great pleasure I give you for the play by play David to be flat thank you John first pitch in there for a strike the case use got three hits total on the year pitch is left handed bat select an easy to change up for called strike to its own to conceive Logan well I'm sure Logan was a little ticked off he bunted into a double play really did not make a good one at all the case he follows his fastball off the last stays alive and the the short change the giants have a chance at minimum to get Donovan Solano at the plate in RBI spot is the end of that be a good player was a weird play from the Padres here's a swing and a foul Casey jobs got a piece of that one the first baseman field it through to the second baseman at first and the second baseman across the diamond Machado had gotten back to third to make attack on bell to the case he strikes out swinging well first time through the order login web got five strikeouts that's pretty impressive in case he goes down swinging one away and the leadoff hitter Greg Garcia will come out for the second time he struck out back in the first inning anyway I love Logan web who prides himself he was a a great high school quarterback just a really good all around athlete already has look like he's a guy who can handle the bad so I think that probably bugged him a lot he put down a poor enough but to where the Padres could do that here's a fastball low taken by Garcia for ball one Jane temple one nothing lead Austin Slater hit a home run in the first inning here's the pitch Garcia hits one the left field going back quickly as record still going back he'll stop now square up make the cats just shy of the warning track down number two will Riker was playing fairly shallow he was shaded toward the line Paul R. was shaded way toward left center field against Greg Garcia that turned out to be good defensive positioning yeah like to be able to play as shallow as you can and still have your outfielders able to get back and catch a ball like that that was it reasonably hard three years Nick martini who single in the first inning and he takes just a little bit low ball one as we come to you live from the Hawaiian airlines broadcast booth there's a pigeon the dirt ball to those two unknown the changeup from Logan web here's the two bench and that's a called strike right down the middle to Nick martini Marty left handed hitter Padres just picked him up he was with the a is for a chunk of this season had a particularly dramatic moment in Chicago Heery files one to the backstop stew into Margie grew up a cubs fan the ace played interleague there are a few weeks ago and his whole family came to Wrigley Field to watch the ace play the first game of that series martini was a pinch hitter late in the game and hit a home run at Wrigley ballpark you grew up going to as a kid he swings in lives wanted to left center field these two for two against Logan web Nick martini is bored with the two out single give Machado a chance against the young James right hander anyway martinis family just went absolutely nuts I had to be such a cool moment for him but he was only with the ace for another week or so maybe a little longer than that but not much longer now he's with the Padres getting a chance to play tonight two for two Machado who also singled in the first inning very dangerous one nothing giants Machado waiting for the first pitch from Logan web here it comes he takes a strike perfect fastball right on the outside strike one Machado last night that home run John was describing which shocked Bumgarner and surprised a lot of other people his twenty eighth home run of the year set kind of a quiet month the Johto takes way outside here one one overall though he's had a good first year with the Padres twenty eight home runs seventy five batted in not super star numbers I think probably there was an expectation level to coming to this division from the American League east the offense of numbers would probably come down a little bit and they have one one pitch is off the outside wall to course he spent the last part of last season in this division with the Dodgers sign in the off season with the Padres I was big news we we started this regular season in San Diego a day where Machado was introduced for the first time we're Fernando Taiji's junior was introduced for the first time the very memorable afternoon for Padres fans to one pitch way outside mana fastball they're not even close hello good well you know he wants to be careful against Machado you walk him though we have two on with two out a left handed hitter was in power Eric Hosmer waiting on deck is web three one pitch John takes outside ball for another fast ball of Mrs that's a first walked issued by web and the two three others are combined for for for for for in terms of getting on base three hits and a walk between Martina Machado suppose he's coming out for a little chat with the twenty two year old this is a legitimate talk about strategy here Sam Holbrook started out toward the bow but he knows sometimes I think umpires maybe a little shorter window for a meeting when it's obvious that it's just to stall for time to let somebody warm up in the bull pen or whatever in this instance is only warming up in the bullpen it's one nothing giants you're the third that was just pure strategies we gave Posey some extra time two on two out for Osborne the pitch is just off the inside wall one was missing that's the spot where he was missing against Machado even though it appeared as if he was trying to be extra careful against Machado maybe just missing to that spot right now cause marketing two eighty four he's got twenty all runs he said it's a good year the pitch swings and misses he got in the chase at change of that was a good one strike one as one and one it's been a good pitch for him so far web he's got five strikeouts in these first three innings but is also given up four hits and a walk through the set of pitch listen traffic out there so high stress moments early in this game to be pitch number fifty three for Logan web the one one is fouled off to the left a changeup Posner might have broken is bad I think he did he's gonna give new bad from the best way on the Toyota out of town scoreboard the Dodgers plan in Arizona again the Dodgers who lost last night the Diamondbacks as part of that was coming here and winning two games they won five games in a row the dire backs are a real player in the wild card race in the fifth inning in Phoenix it's four three Dodgers here's one nothing giants wanted to the house were here's the pitch it is grounded toward the middle of playing right there do bought he's got if you'll flip the secular Solano covering the inside of force out Machado million web gets a ground ball and the giants get out of it two out single ended two out walk but no runs for the Padres Salado Slater Paul are coming up one nothing giants we go to the bottom of the third on the KNBR northern California Honda dealers radio network we have to understand the mysteries around is it possible is it possible to turn back and reversing aging in the brain is it possible to eliminate from the face of the earth and is it possible to insure not just UCSF redefining everybody Mister T..

"You know if you're a Christian here better know why you believe what you believe. We're in a culture that doesn't believe in truth. We believe that you can create your on reality as you go. We're in a hostile environment indeed. We're in Athens were not in Jerusalem and we need to know how to minister as Paul Seventeen as heated in Athens and that's simply means for all of you to know why you believe what you believe to be able to give to every man answer a reason for the hope the rest within you. If you're not a Christian here here's the message I have for you and you reject Jesus Christ for simply wanted to rebel against the Holy God you know as president but don't ever say that Christianity is false. Irrational does not have the evidence behind it because when you pursue truth you'll end up at the cross of Jesus Christ because he is truth in Kearns.

"Today speaker Frank Pass story a really inspires me because he's one of those super smart people who scoffed at Christianity until he actually studied the claims of Christ and then he saw the truth well there is that old old sing as long as there's breath. There's hope and I do appreciate that that's right and in francs case he had made it to the top a major league baseball contract but he felt empty inside and then the Lord intervened in his life and really got his attention and that's the story you'll hear today and in fact it's captured in his book shattered struck down but not destroyed and I'd love to send that out to you for a gift of any amount as you support what we're doing here at focus on the family sadly after several years as a Christian talk show host frank died after a tragic motorcycle accident and we miss him he and I had ridden together several times in the mountains here in Colorado and we'll talk more more about that at the end of francs message okay for now here's Frank Pasteur.
