The Left Has Destroyed the Young

"I am so interested in getting people married. That when I said Wednesday, I saw the word we D in my brain. And I'll give you one more example of how committed I am to that. I do a fireside chat every week for PragerU. It comes out on Thursdays. You've got many, many hundreds of thousands of years each week. And it's quite popular. I know it because of it's the first thing most people mention when they see me at airports are in restaurants. And each week I feature a question, a video question from someone who watches, 99% of the time it's a young person. Because most of the viewers of my fireside chat are young people. So yesterday there was older than usual, she was 31. And she was obviously very bright. And her mode of presentation of the question was very classy. And she was very attractive, a young woman. And I, in my answer to her, said, I don't know if you're married, but if you're not, I may have a guy for you. Can you imagine how shocked she's gonna be? When she sees my response, she lives in she lives in the New York, the New York City area. Oh my Friends, my Friends, when I think of young people, I can cry, I know that's a cliche. The reason things become cliches is something because they're often true. And this is a true instance. Young people, what the left has done to them, the damage is incalculable.

An Update on What's Happening in the Wake of Roe v. Wade

"What's happening in the wake of the Supreme Court's decision to overrule roe versus wade? Well, the first thing to notice is that no cataclysm has occurred. And for people who warned that this decision would produce a kind of social catastrophe that people would be going nuts, our social fabric itself would be rendered. And to be honest, I myself expected a more stormy reaction when the group called James revenge said, you know, that's going to be a night of rage. I thought, well, that could be, you know, a week of rage. Two weeks of rage, as it turns out there was nothing. Well, I mean, they were a few protests. And there are some protests, even now the left is trying to intimidate these justices. Let's go protest right outside their homes. By the way, I'm happy to say Congress has passed a law Biden signed it to increase security for the Supreme Court Justices and so there are some obviously First Amendment rights about being able to protest, but it's a different matter when you are protesting in a manner that intimidates these justices at their residences itself.

Kelly Shackelford on His SCOTUS Victory Affirming Religious Freedom

"Guys, what a perfect time to bring back to the podcast, our friend Kelly shackleford, he's the president and CEO of first liberty institute. He's a constitutional scholar. He's argued before the Supreme Court testified before the House and Senate. One numerous landmark First Amendment and religious liberty cases. He was named one of the 25 greatest Texas lawyers of the past quarter century by Texas lawyer Kelly welcome to the podcast. I mean, you should have a big smile on your face. This has been a pretty momentous week to massive victories for religious freedom. One, of course, the coach, the football coach spraying on the field and the other the case in Maine that involves sort of tuition subsidies and will I want to talk about both. But let's begin with the coach. Now that was a case that first liberty, that was your case. So talk about what the key issue was in that case and what the court what the court decided and what the other side was pushing for. Well, the case was pretty simple. Most people understand coach made a pledge to God that after every game, win or lose, he would go to the 50 yard line when people were milling around, checking their cell phones, talking to friends. He would the first thing he would do is go to a knee for 20 seconds, maybe 30 seconds tops, and just give thanks for the privilege of coaching those young men. And he did that for over 7 years until the school told them that if he did that again, they were going to fire him. And he did because he made a pledge and they fired him for going on his on his knee for about 20 seconds and saying a silent prayer. And, you know, the argument, of course, on our side was that he has free speech rights. He has free exercise of religion, right? So under the First Amendment. And they tried to argue that, well, no, some student, you know, might see him from 200 yards away and feel coerced to pray because he's

Dinesh Reviews the Latest Supreme Court Decision Taming the EPA

"The EPA has been writing all these rules to fight climate change, and they're basically one thing they're trying to do is make it almost impossible for the coal industry. The function in this country. And the way they do this is they take the clean air act, which was passed by Congress, and they expanded in such a way that it enables them to pass all kinds of rules that set certain emissions and put caps on how much emissions can occur. The net effect is we are almost you may say deliberately killing a major industry in our own country and doing it in the name of climate change. So this goes to the Supreme Court and it goes to the Supreme Court on the part of plaintiffs who say basically listen. Yes, there is a clean air act. But the clean air act was passed long before this climate change hoopla. Moreover, the Congress delegates to the EPA, the authority to clean up the air. And the EPA does have the right to make rules consistent with that delegation of power. But no, the EPA can't just say, well, since we have a clean air act, we're not going to take all these new issues of climate change, the oceans are rising, the temperature is going up, the global temperature, and we will now declare ourselves. The enforcer of this climate change ideology, and the court goes, where's your authority to do that in the clean air act? I'm now going to read from the court's decision. When Congress seems slow to solve problems, it may seem natural that those in the executive branch might seek to take matters into their own hands. But the constitution does not authorize agencies to do this. It goes on to say they can not be quote substitutes for laws passed by the people's representatives. In other words, an agency of the executive branch can't just decide what Congress can pass a law. Well, that's okay. We'll sort of make the law ourselves

Cheney to Secret Service: 'We Welcome Additional Testimony Under Oath'

"Listen to what Liz Cheney said, we're gonna roll clip 9. Listen to what Liz Cheney said in her response to Jenny or 6. Corroboration of Hutchinson's testimony. Did you seek testimony from Tony ornato or Robert engel to corroborate or to refute what she said? I don't want to get into too many details, the committee has spoken to both mister ornato and mister engel, and we welcome additional testimony under oath from both of them and from anybody else in the Secret Service who has information about any of these issues. Do you expect that that testimony will be live testimony under oath like her testimony and for the world to see? How is that going to happen? Look, we have been working with the Secret Service. We've interviewed, as I said, a number of individuals in the Secret Service. We will continue to do so. And I think it is important that their testimony be under oath. Okay, ladies and gentlemen, we've seen this party before we been to this event before. One thing I don't understand is that you're claiming that you spoke to these people, not under oath, you have no testimony from anybody, ingles, anybody else, which is the head of the Secret Service. You have no testimony written down. You have disclosed the testimony and I don't know if they're supposed to bring these people up to testify or not, but why would you bring a person on to produce hearsay when you supposedly have people that have firsthand information?

Cassidy Hutchinson's Hearsay Testimony Is Full of Holes

"Who is right and who is wrong when it comes to miss Hutchinson. I'm going to talk about her a little bit more today, Cassidy hutchison, the young lady who gave testimony and many believe is a fraudulent testimony regarding Donald Trump being, I don't know Gumby. I don't know what super stretch Armstrong. Reaching through the beast, which is a limousine, it's like 22 feet long, and somehow slapping people and choking people and grabbing the steering wheel and all kind of amazing theories that came from Cassidy Hutchinson and many of them have not been proven to be fact. One thing that troubles me for a, you know, it troubles me dearly. Is that how in the world can you legitimize what you would consider to be witness testimony and the testimony is hearsay? Which means that this is a testimony from a person that does not have direct knowledge or didn't visibly see what she's talking about. How is this anything she say? Make any sense whatsoever when the girl didn't witness anything.

"Couple summers ago and turning point action was starting a series of super Saturdays, turning point action did a series of door knocking, campaigns across America, organized by the great Tyler Boyer and the whole turning point action team separate from the educational ventures of turning point USA. So I remember I was in Chicago and I drove to Grand Rapids, Michigan. That's not an easy drive for those of you that have done it throughout the night because the next morning we are starting our door knocking for a certain candidate in western Michigan. I got up very early and rally the troops and told everybody that in western Michigan, we need to put our forces together to go get a certain person elected by the name of Peter Meyer. Now mind you, I don't know why we endorsed Peter Meyer largely because I thought it was a flip district or something like that, a way to kind of gain ground. But what an incredible disappointment and let down. Peter Meyer in western Michigan has become. He has become a camera seeking attention grabbing self righteous congressman who voted for the impeachment of Donald Trump was like one of the first things he did right out of the gate. He sprints to try to go on cable television at every single corner imaginable. And he's someone I have very little respect for. And he's got to go and he's got to go right now. "Well, I'm delighted to be back sitting in for Seb doing America first radio, and even more delighted to now have in the chair. One of my favorite lawyers, which is admittedly a short list. I think it's pretty much you and schlichter. But Wilt Chamberlain is here. And I would love will to get your opinion of just how brutally effective the show trial for the invented insurrection has been at throwing the trader Trump into the brink. He's going to jail, right? Well, I think there's so many different problems. We just start with yesterday what happened with Cassidy Hutchinson. I remember watching Fox News and hearing Brett, tell me, oh, this is devastating. Did you hear? This is devastating testimony, and it's like clearly you've never seen a trial because the first thing you notice is it's hearsay. She's almost very rarely is she testifying even to a conversation she herself heard most of the talk is about someone else told her that Trump said X and that's not just hearsay, it's actually what we call double hearsay. The hearsay statement of Trump being offered for whatever the truth of that it was asserted. And then there's the hearsay statement of the person gossiping, right? So you have these it's the legal standard for gossip. We got hearsay, double hearsay, gossip. BS, which is what it seems. And so, you know, it's not that all hearsay statements are inadmissible. There are actually a lot of exceptions to the hearsay rule. But this is the classic example of why we have a hearsay rule, right? You have this woman saying, well, I heard that Trump grabbed the Stuart, you know, this guy, this guy told me Trump grab the steering wheel, and then you realize, well, that's not even possible. And then within an hour of the testimony, it comes out that the Secret Service agents are perfectly willing to say under oath, no, that never happened.

Grand Theft Auto: Capitol City?

"Here's Cassidy Hutchinson saying that Donald Trump tried to create a new saga in the Grand Theft Auto series, otherwise known as Grand Theft Auto capital city. Play cut 70. Tony described him as being irate, the president said something to the effect of, I'm the effing president, take me up to the capitol now to which Bobby responded, sir, we have to go back to the west wing. The president reached up towards the front of the vehicle to grab at the steering wheel. Mister engel grabbed his arm, he said, sir, you need to take your hand off the steering wheel. We're going back to the west wing. We're not going to the capitol. Mister Trump then used his free hand to lunge towards Bobby angle and this one mister ornata had recounted the story to me. He had motioned towards his clavicles. So that's a really serious accusation, right? I mean, you have a president of the United States that assaults the Secret Service agents. I mean, that's serious. I mean, wow. And by the way, who uses the word clavicles. Assaulted me in the clavicles, the first thing you say, wait, is that like super anatomically specific, by the way? Unless you're trained to say that she was trained in coached, I think, to say that. So okay, fine. She says this, super serious accusation. And I knew it as soon as I heard, it's just like, there's no way that's true. No way. I've been in the beast. You can't do that. And by the way, it's just not something I believe Donald Trump would do otherwise.

Is the Jan. 6 Committee Inducing Witnesses to Lie?

"Now again, it's one thing if they're saying this now if there were feuding this now, but if they were a feud under oath, somebody's lying. And somebody needs to go to jail. And there's a broader question. I was talking to my good buddy, Steve gill. He's a great political analyst, and he's been doing this a very long time. He said, Todd, not only is somebody not telling the truth, it's very possible that some of the committee members may be suborning perjury. In other words, they are inducing somebody to lie under oath, and that somebody is Cassidy, Hutchinson. Now, you gotta work with me here. You saw her live testimony, but there was also pre recorded testimony of Cassidy Hutchinson. In other words, they had already interviewed her, so they knew exactly what she was going to say when the TV cameras came on, and this went boarded a border coast to coast across the fruited plain. So they knew this well in advance. These are no doubt these are explosive charges. I mean, if in fact this is true, you are dealing with a lunatic in The White House who was trying to hijack the presidential limousine and was literally attacking physically attacking Secret Service agents. I mean, that's insane. That's like a made for TV movie. If it happened. But I don't think it happened, but I think we all know it didn't happen.

Why do we assume the federal government can do anything when it can't do the first thing, which is to control the border. As Molly said, the cartels control the border, not that. And administration, so why would we trust the FDA, which had a very bad year anyway in the course of COVID? They blew the Johnson & Johnson pause. "Today, I want to, this is a timely issue, and I wanted to go ahead and discuss this because it's just something disturbing issues that are coming out. And it's going to happen very fast. This is what happens in Washington, D.C.. When circumstances in the world meet the emotional response of people and the fact that they need to do something. We talk about this a week or two ago on the podcast. When I talk about what makes you feel good doesn't always heal you. And it's talking about an honest discussion about guns. We're going to have another honest discussion this morning about the fact that what happened and you vote text is what happened at that school. Is a tragedy? What happened at school should have never happened in many ways when you had someone who decided to go into a school to use a gun and to kill people. I mean, that is was the choice that this Ramos made. He made the choice to go in there. He made the choice to kill people. He used a gun in the process. We've talked about how the many aspects of what is being proposed will not solve this, but again, as I said just a little bit ago in one of the other podcasts, was it always seems to be the very first thing that we do is to solve something is take something away from legal gun owners or legal possession to fix something that, frankly, is not going to fix.

Circuit Courts Had Ignored Previous SCOTUS Decision on Gun Rights

"What happened ladies and gentlemen is that the circuit court basically ignored the Supreme Court's decision several years ago written by justice Scalia in the Heller case And these circuit courts started to create their own tests a two tiered test A two tier test And what Thomas says in the majority says here there's no two tiers That's one tier too many This one test The constitution basically And as a leader notes the holding decides nothing about who may lawfully possess a firearm It requirements that must be met to buy a gun nor does it decide anything about the kinds of weapons that people may possess In other words that's an issue for another day But once people are applicants for a weapon and they are proved to receive a weapon then there's no reason they can't take it outside their house To protect themselves as much as they protect themselves inside a house And you can not simply leave it to bureaucrats to make decisions on a one off basis If they say as I said from the opinion felons can have it and so forth That's one thing But to say you have not demonstrated to me why you need this You're not required to demonstrate why you need that or why you need free speech or why you need the freedom to exercise your faith or any of those things That's the point That's a secondary level of examination that the state has no power To conduct

Jack Posobiec Discusses the Inexcusable Inaction of the Uvalde Police

"On the cutting edge of what's happening and you've all day. I think this is important for two reasons. Number one, we should always care about the truth, always. But number two, I think that it's important when it comes to our gun control debate right now. Because if we look at Yuval day as the facts actually show us, this has very little to do about gun purchasing or red flag laws, and a lot more about a police failure to intervene. What are your thoughts? Well, one of the big things that people need to understand about you validity, and it's actually something that even in the initial reporting. And this is something where I do have to ask for forgiveness on because when this all happened, I was over in Davos, Switzerland, I'm going up and down the Alps, where getting detained, we went to Ukraine. I come back. And that's what I really was able to start sinking my teeth into the details here. Then yesterday, the Texas Department of Public Safety comes out. That's the head of the Texas police and they start releasing these documents based on the timeline based on some of the 9-1-1 calls, the dispatcher calls with the local chief. And so now we've been able to dig through those documents to dig through this hearing. And one thing that I think everybody needs to understand is that this guy Pete arradondo, one of the names you need to memorize in this is Pete arradondo. Originally, the way it was being reported, I think a lot of people had the misunderstanding that he was the chief of police for all of you validated. It's not true. He's actually the chief of police for the validity ci DS, the consolidated independent or CIA SD school district. So he's the chief of police just for that school. That is his sole duty, his sole responsibility, and it's a 6 man force that is directly assigned for the security of that school. They're brought on by the school board, and then that's, of course, working in conjunction with the city council. But this really is a situation where he had one charge and that was the defense of this school. And so when

And there's and his his publisher will funds it but demands a role on the show and that's played by Richard Iowa whose genius remember from the IT crowd he's one of my favorites. But he and he's can't act at all. So he's constantly looking at the camera where it's like you need to get down there now and then he punches late on the table. Well it was just it was awful. And like what the best to me my favorite actor on TV right now is data. So oh my God we're gonna say that. I want to get gate on the podcast. Do you like he follow you? I don't know. But I am so team data. I fucking love that guy. I'm telling you. I'm going to make it happen. I'm going to be delivers he's so goddamn good. He plays the pathos and that moment when he brings those fucking people like he sells those braces he doesn't know yeah yeah. And he's left it's so it's just a stabs your heart so hard. It's so painful. But that character has so many layers and is so deep. Oh it's rady. And all you know like on the exterior it's such a good way of showing okay just these people you know like to Joe blow it's like oh look at just some wrapper whatever. Yeah. Taking the time to like peel back the layers of a person and instead of just assuming one way because Gators would have the deepest characters. Oh my God it's so deep. And it's important to have a character like that on a show because Dave himself is fairly especially this season was a little irredeemable. He's so and both both with like extra friends and all this and he's like I'm annoyed and so then to end it where he comes through. It was just good. It was like a nice. That was the nicest little bow on that episode where you know you. I love that thing you know we've got to see that performance his rehearsal performance daves and it was amazing. You know like it was just within the you know it's like oh cool we got to see it. And then but the performance was the other. It was what they did. Exactly exactly. Now we're not going to show you in front of everybody else. And not only that we're not going to know how it went. Two other people that are on that show that I can not get enough of are Dave's parents. Holy shit you pay me and I don't know who the woman is. Oh my God the two of them together when that scene spoiler alert whatever but when Andrew Santino goes in that fitting room. Oh my God. Did you jail on yourself? And he's just okay. All right. An amazing scene. And he's really good in this show. I mean I know. Do you know him at all? I don't know. I did note it. Yeah I've done stand up with Andrew a bit. And. He's a great guy. He's a super nice guy. And he'd be a good one to have him on the podcast too. He has a podcast called whisky Ginger..

"It felt real. It felt like if you stab somebody that was more what it would be as opposed to come running at them and be like ah. Yeah yeah. And I got the feeling that that got you know the guy the actor's name is Jake glacier and of course I'm forgetting his character's name but he has you know this completely over privileged life. He's washed in it. It's just everywhere. And when and he wants to get his way and he thinks he's got his way and he thinks he's got the and then when it actually came down to it like he's grabbed something you know and he's like the look on his face was almost like whoever it is I got you motherfucker. You know like he was really really intense. And then when he did it I'm sorry there's a siren going by. Okay. What he did it? I don't know why people can't just die quiet or sometimes right? What do I have to have this sirens? I'm so goddamn rude. But when he actually like that the moment where he stabs armand and you know like can he backs up and he all of a sudden it was like oh this is real. You know it's not just my. It was the first moment he saw him as a human being. Yeah and he apologizes. It was sincere. It was genuine and it was like but you almost felt like he was like apologizing for everything. And most importantly in the episode I believe it's the first shit I've ever seen on camera. Okay that's I think the first the first shit I've ever seen on camera was in the first season of Dave. Oh that's right but was it coming out of his butt? It came out of his butt. Yeah like you saw it where he was like on a hike with his girlfriend and he just like grabbing his stomach and he goes and he was like it's coming. Just look away. Look away and then they slick showed it coming out of his butt. And I'm like oh my God I can not believe I'm watching this. And then that last episode of her mind shits in that suitcase. Oh my God it was so crazy. Well just upsetting for you because I know that poop is not. I just like it was upset. I felt I wasn't sure how exactly how necessary I needed it to like it off. I don't know. Shock for shock value but it was definitely shock value 'cause I the moment I saw him like look at that suitcase and starts wrestling with his you know button and zipper. I was like oh no. Oh no. No here it comes. Oh and there it is..

"Do it. Do it doing it do it right now. Come on. It's just amazing. When I did that my dog because I'm that passionate and he knows it. He's wearing his raycons right now. I've never seen Jenny this passionate about any anything. No I have zero passion in my life except now I have something I'm passionate about. I've watched her slay a crowd of a thousand people and nothing nothing compared to this. How about you Jenny Johnson? I mean what are we watching? What's going on? Okay so. Finish white lotus we love them. I started I mean I'm so excited. There's the second season and it's going to be like at a different resort a different place with a different cast. I very much was committed to that cast because there were so unbelievably good but I know that they'll find. Yeah. A good cast as well. You know for the next one. But the way it was did you did you know what was coming at the end? I don't want to spoil it. I really really didn't. And you know spoiler alert for people at home. We're going to talk about it. It's been a week. Yeah. I was. Horrified and then realized oh no it makes perfect sense that God I'm forgetting the character's name and the newlywed woman went back to the guy. Okay isn't that funny that. As much as I love that show? I'm like I don't know that I could name. I know I thought about this too. I have trouble with the character names too. I think also they don't say their names a lot. But I remember that armand is the I absolutely love the hotel manager and then one of the daughters was Olivia. Yeah. And then I'm like um. But but look I absolutely love that. And then there's this documentary series that's on Netflix that I've watched a few episodes it's called the movies that made us. Have you seen? It's a season two because I feel like there was a first season of that that I did. Yeah there was a first season and then season and there's only four episodes in this second season has like a lot of my favorite movies which is Back to the Future Jurassic Park pretty woman. And then die hard I believe. Well I mean I like all but pretty woman. That's good. But like all these you know such classic movies I watched the Jurassic Park one and I've seen that they even had like a different special that was like I think the holiday movies that made us. It was like thing like they had home alone or whatever. But I really loved it. I watched the Jurassic Park when the only thing I would say is it gets a little busy and loud like oh. They use a lot of music and voice-over and quick cuts and you know it's like they're trying to make it too you know I get that. It's funny because so do you know you know my you know my favorite part of Jurassic Park was the dinosaurs. I loved that part too. Big fan. I know a lot of people when like Laura Dern wasn't going to be in the second one they were thinking like uh oh good luck. But it was the dinosaurs ultimately. They just did a great job..

"With a chip is just who's just a fake therapy dog at all. Totally. But you know as funny as I will say though the last four episodes of the season it really like expanded the world and fell down and it's like oh yes that's like and so it's been really fun. We're bringing a lot of fun episodes nice a good writers room really good a bunch of people I haven't worked with before but knew and yeah that's awesome. Yeah I mean that show obviously I'm an animal lover too. And just the idea behind it of having them meet every day for therapy. And it's but there's still animals. They don't you know they don't take away the animal characteristics. Yeah but they all they're dealing with you know it's a great place to project all of our writer insecurities and characters onto them and. I get the biggest kick out of Tony Hale. I mean he voices different animals and he does max the pig that's George Clooney's pig or whatever but then what he does is a Diablo. Yes. Yeah. He's like my mom and my dad and my Randy because his parents have divorced. Totally oblivious. Those of it watched max the pig is a celebrity page. It was a George Clooney. And so he's always he's always name dropping and I don't know where you are in the series but I'm all caught up. I'm like I don't know where I am though because I've seen one you haven't seen is he still with George Clooney or has he moved on? He's still with George Clooney. But he's found out that he's not the original. And which made like the continuity even funnier to me because when that character was there and he kept name dropping that you know he's George Clooney. I was like the fact that I knew that George Clooney's pet pig max died years ago. I knew that information. I've been working on the show for a week. Are they that's really true? Like he had a big name. He had he had a pot bellied pig. Even more useless information that I have that George Clooney had this belly pig name max that was given to him by his girlfriend at the time Kelly Preston. Oh my God. How about that for a random piece of trivia? I gotta say I'm gonna go in there. This is you know this is music to my ears. And I know. And speaking of music to my ears. I was that good? Well I mean standing ovation right now that was beautiful. Now doing it nation I want you to watch because that was a moment. I'm now going to see you won't even know we're doing a commercial for that then it's like you're not going to know that we're going to give a shout out a paid shout out to our advertiser and I would say audio heroes real. Break. The greatest ear devices of all time. Yeah these are like everyday ear buds you know? And you don't have to worry about their wireless. They don't get all twisted up but they also don't look like the other you know. About kind of things that look weird hanging out of people's ears. It looks like you know Ben Stiller in something about Mary or something. Yeah because there was a period of time where the shorthand for a douche was a big old ear thing hanging out of your hair..

"So you know like a humpty dance. I'm not afraid to go. Rest in power. Shock G. He's the one who put the satin on the girl's panties. That's right. Yes. Yes. I also with Pearl Jam the advantage of them is you also don't need to know the lyrics because it's just like. Danny you fucking nailed that. Fuck I know. Wow maybe you should add that to your karaoke. Holy shit. Lately I've done it. I get it recently. I found karaoke like twice. It's the lockdown ended. But the one I love doing is I do midnight train to Georgia but I always but I only sing the pips. So I'm sitting there and. People don't know what the fuck you're doing for a long part of the verse is the lyrics are coming up. And what I'm hearing is that you think karaoke is an open mic for you. I always killed them. You ever just gone to karaoke it just done the song without trying to make. Oh for sure. I've done a bunch but we should go do that together David. I would love that. I did I'll do some muse. Like my falsetto can hit like supermassive black hole. I love that song. I will do I'll throw down sometimes with like an old you know Dolly Parton or some old like country. Oh yeah I don't I got a little classic. Yeah I never I never had the country well. I'll hit like I've definitely done the clash. I've done. It out. I've done Elvis Costello. But I know not to do like Joe Jackson from that era because I can't hit those notes. And that was the only thing that was holding you back really. I am so Joe Jackson. Usually that's what I think of what I think of you. Yeah. I always say oh and I was standing never mind. Yeah. So how is your new week with new work? Can we discuss that? Yes we can. So I am I've spent the last year or more writing pilots alone. In my underwear Christ for baiting. I'm with you. And I had a meeting with the production company and I'm going to supervise some things and they asked me what I really wanted to do and I said put me if you have a show that needs somebody upper level like I would be very happy to do it. You get me at a discount because I'm going crazy right? Yeah. Not even like about like finances of the finances would be good but it was more like my mental health. And I'm with you yeah. An hour later he calls me and hey how would you like to be on this show? So I don't know if I mentioned the show last week. But it's a show on Fox called house broken that was created by two friends of mine I've written with for years. Well I meant Gabby Allen who I worked with back on Jesse navigate show and then Jen crit in her partner who was. Married to my friend Bill ruble who worked on Modern Family with me. And it's a show about it basically I love animals and I've been in therapy since I was 24. And this is about animals holding their own group therapy session..

"I was like if I go how are you? Come on here. I can't believe we've ever had musicians on this podcast. I sing like an angel. I don't know what you're talking about. I always feel like every time you know like if I'm just singing in the car and I think you know I actually sound pretty good. Like I'm really going and then you know those moments where if you're talking to someone and you're like oh have you ever heard this song and then you try to sing a few bars? Yes. And I never sound the way I sound on the car when that happens. I will say when I am in a position where I have to sing something for somebody. I have two modes so the mode one is I just sort of like you know it goes like you know you know you know rock the casb. You know. It's like you do it like that. I completely understand. That's way one. But then the other way I'll do it is like oh come on you don't know that song you know black by Led Zeppelin. It's like hey mom says the way you move. I go full bore. There's no middle ground for you. But I have to make that decision pretty am I going to sell this right or not and depending on the people but I will frequently I'm usually impressed with my when I sell it. I feel like you can sell a song. You felt it always happens to me when it's like a song that I have no business even trying to recreate. Like I was talking to my mom one time and I said I think I was talking about Nancy Wilson being on the podcast and how you know you and I were just big huge fans and she's like what songs does heart sing and I'm like you know I was like barracuda and. Of all the like voices that all the vocalists in the world I have no business trying to imitate Anne Wilson. Absolutely. One of the if not the greatest rock and roll voice. I mean it's like I'm gonna sing her and then let me tell you this and I'm gonna do a whole Queen medley. I'm like I said oh God I remember like Amy and I my sister we went and saw him in concert. We were like front row in a room saying Ann Wilson and she was singing alone and it was like Nancy was just playing an acoustic guitar and that was it. So it was just all vocals you know? It was so like you know where you just had chills all over your body. It was insane. And then my mom what song is alone? I'm like my God alone. Give me a minute let me warm up my vocals. So I'm like you should just Google that shit. For 20 years I'll warm up. You can give me all the time in the world to warm up. I'm not going to nail that Anne Wilson impression on a loan which is. One of my I actually did this on Instagram ones but sometimes when I'm out of karaoke he plays with people. It's the quickest karaoke ever because I play. The outfield. I don't want to lose your love tonight. So just an insanely high song so it's like and then I come in for two beats on Joey's on a beach. And I can't let my voice crack so I walk up the stage. And he did that on Instagram once where I like again..

"And GETTY DOT com. Armstrong and getty. This is the best of Armstrong and getty. So there was an interesting article. I saw right when I was traveling that they're going to get rid of pointy ears, dogs at the airport and replace them with floppy eared dogs. Oh, boy, because people keep getting gouged in the I of the pointy ears, actually makes sense to me. In particular I can't figure out if this is one of those kids that I. Too soft snowflakes. Things or if it just makes perfectly good sense, for whatever reason the way were designed pointy. Your dogs are frightening to us. They are scarier than sloppier copier. Dogs are not and the dogs are not there to scare people. They're there to sniff for drugs and stuff like that okay, and then just makes it a friendlier atmosphere particularly for kids. They're talking I wish they were there for belly scratches. Yeah, no kidding. I have no problem with the dog. Is there to sniff for bomb residue I? Don't need a scary looking. Point your dog. If you can have a floppy eared dove well, Jack is usually in these cases I just think. How do I feel because anybody who's like? More, hardcore than me is a hard ass and a tough guy, and they ought to mellow out. Anybody's softer than me. The snow is a snowflake or and welcome on and get. China. Exactly so that that rings true to me pointing your dogs or scarier yeah. That like a wolf thing like a weird I don't know that's good centuries, probably or hyenas or whatever I. Don't know that it needs to be ancient. Just because you know as you grow up, you get your German shepherd. You get your your rottweiler. Yeah Doberman Pinscher it could be, but I think it's deep. I think there's something. Deepen our break. Point here dogs, and maybe it is wolf. Vikings employed point year dogs to rape and pillage. I got more tangents on the airport. Little premature transitional. We're going to get to the Vikings. The bills still be dead the MARA PEOPLE WE'RE GONNA get to the outcast. We don't have to pay it off exactly. What do you want for nothing so when I got to the airport with my children's? Did this thing that had never happened to me before, and they did it in an overly brisk attitude, for whatever reason that they have to do with Ti, but like. I'm like I'm almost guilty of something right, I'm A. Year an inmate being taken to a new facility, you transfer quality. Run Afoul of things you over faster. Mega talking to me like that, but anyway. side-by-side lineup side-by-side Milwaukee shoulder to shoulder what shoulder to shoulder and I thought. What was there a terrorist threat? I haven't heard about or whatever, but anyway they had US walk from. The end of the security line like up to the little place where he show me your ticket. Side by side so I. Walked side by side with some woman, and then my son's walked side by side with them after they were told they could not yet now all right, and we'll on how we walked shoulder to shoulder, and then I thought I. don't even know what that was. But can travel all the time and I've never heard of that. Keep inventing new stuff that they're angry at you for not knowing in Atlanta I got another one of those, but so then when we got up there when we got up to the taking off your shoes party said you don't have to take off your shoes. You just got checked. I said by who the dogs. That's what that was okay. I don't know why everybody's yelling at me, but okay, so that was the walking side by side. The dogs were sniffing my feet while boy as a puppy. You're dreaming of being a Doug Drug sniffing dog bomb sniffing dog. End Up being a foot. SNIFFEN are come on. Can I take? Diedhiou flood funk the other ones right right. And you buckle down or you study or you'll be an ASS.

"Is where the sturdier comes in Stir for, my shaken not. You. He's here to put everyone on blast. The Nice thing about him is that he cares a lot about fairness and maintains a perfectly calibrated BS detector, but has no respect for how long meetings are supposed to be. Wait a minute. everyone loves this dude during a powerpoint because he's virtually guaranteed to derail it by quibbling with item, three of twenty complain about how useless the beating was afterwards. Everybody in this room. That crap doesn't make sense. So why do you need to stir? I, think slightly somebody to say. The emperor isn't wearing new clothes. Okay, that makes are we sure what you're saying is true are we shared that graphic five shows trending sale? The loyal opposition as they say in Britain. This is pretty good, too, and I've worked in places that don't have this particularly when I was younger and it sucked. You need party animal. That's devoted to fun at work or afterwards you need. No, no, no, we need to stamp that out and I've I've been amazed as at places where they didn't have this and I'm not. This is not my personality. I'm not good at it. Be a need the. Better if it's a woman you need. The person says Thursday. Five o'clock drinks at wherever we're all doing it. You need that person that does that stuff. Happy Hour genetic ends. You want to be there superbowl party this Sunday at my house. That stuff is so valuable and I don't think management understands that at all. Nope, that role Oh my God the places that I worked that had the most cohesion, and we all felt like we're in it together, and you know you'd pick up slack for each other. All had a lot of that going on for thirty Friday. Every Friday case of beer conference room. Loved it super productive workplace man. Everybody just knocked it out of the park every single day. Who didn't hollered laugh? Every Friday and usually we go out after that and you're stupid. Current manager would. Have Sexual harassment and people will be driving drunk. All right now you know worked for like two hundred years fine well. I like better than anything's ever worked in history to one radio station. This is one of the top radio stations in Kansas. City at the time you WANNA. Four many was the hot radio station and it was regular like that on Friday in the afternoon. Beer would come out. That place made crazy money. beer would come out and people that have the. You may need that, but you don't have that anymore. And that's why work workers drudgery and you don't know the people you work with Sumi. Hate them, and then you can't wait until it's over, so you can just die seems like an ice stressors, or decompress, or almost kind of included in the work experience before I got into it where I I have to seek those things outside of the work boundaries right, but there I can absolutely understand the value of having just. Just those pressure release valves in that same building where the is built up right and the other thing is you realize? Wow, that guy's actually pretty cool right I. Like Him I. Really is maybe his job in mind. We butted heads a little bit, but he's a good dude, a good gal or whatever, and or maybe you realize you know like them, but the you know what. They're pretty good person kind of some of my favorite places at so many so many different. Jobs. I had where we're that sort of thing was going on is just freaking awesome. But it's gone away in the modern era with.

If you're balloon, not craves Perrier can help you, so this guy who did my septic work came out, and he was the top guy, and I said how long you been in the business, super knowledgeable guy about this. So how long have you been in this business? He said I'm third generation and I said so your gear grandfather did that, and he said yeah, going way back in today my dad had a truck and he'd come out here and they load everything up on the truck, and they drive out in the field and spread it out on the field the human waste yellow lights. Yeah, that's right, and so they spread it out on the field. Tastes, a little odd sweetheart and he said you can't do that now. Yes, yes, that reminds me my grandmother's farm. They had like a trough out in the open. It would just go spitting out of a look at the garden hose into this trough, and it would just dry out in the out in the Sun I'll have to ask my dad what they did because said on the show. They didn't have indoor plumbing when he went off to college still. But anyway so, and he said you can't do that now and in my mind, I'm thinking I'll you do that? Because of the people think it's you know unsafe human waste stuff like that. No, it's because of all the soaps and detergents and stuff like that. That's why the state won't let you do that if it was just. Animal waste and humans are animal. That would still be okay. It's the it's all the stuff that were that that we use every single day. How interested in our dishwasher and washing dishes and all that sort of stuff? or on Nicole's Washer all that different kinds of stuff. That's the toxic stuff. I thought that was illuminating. What's Brown and sounds like a bell? Got A lot of growing up to I. think that. You're listening to the.

Everybody I've brought that up to has said has asked me. Is that legal? I have some ivory, something or other. And I did a little looking into it because I wanted to see. Did my my breaking lawn in owning this and it's really weird like you could have A. it was popular for a brushes hairbrushes. The handle was made of ivory. Yeah, if that was made before whatever you're, so, it's made in nineteen o five. That's okay, because that you know we're not going to go around destroying antiques. What would be the point of that right? I guess but if somebody takes that and carves it into something else. That's illegal. So that chunk of ivory and turn it into something new. Wow, that's odd. Then you're in violence or something in variety of we, will they? Just you know what I have a feeling it's that sounds crazy, but it's just because anything that's Newish and made of ivory is got to be illegal because No, no, no, this was made nineteen seventy-two than altered in nineteen, ninety eight. They just they can't get down into the Nitty Gritty Roy far. I had signed get. It had some elephants skin boots that every time I mentioned. People recoiled in horror. I remember I did. And? "To hit psych eighty bucks But it was unbelievable. It was like the best of everything I've ever had in every category Italian steak seafood. Chinese Lao desserts along the very best of at the very best restaurants. You've ever gone to all in one spot at a buffet. A STAKE IN VEGAS SO PAYING. Eighty Bucks for meal is not that impressive. No I thought it was well worth it. But you know you take you you and your kids and stuff and I'm not sure. Eighty dollars worth of enjoyment. Now I don't or nor should you not let you go with your ridiculous understand the importance of beating the buffet. They go through a lot of How thin margin for the restaurant CETERA ET CETERA CETERA? I'm going to skip all that I like. I like waste reduction is a key focus of the restaurant because they're trying to win to it is it. Is it battle between you and them? Obviously they are trying to win. How do we make this profitable? When you'RE GONNA end up with a lot of waste you're GONNA end up with a lot of throwing away. Food and waste. Reduction is a huge part. They call some of this. Stuff trickled down specials buffets of always been a landing spot for food scraps trickle down specials. Day-old vegetables beef trimmings things that can be re purposed into Super Hash. Oh boy on the buffet. Nice try to save themselves some money stuff. They trim off of a steak. Is there for you and your beef? Stroganoff by nature buffets attract the very customer call account masturbating field out. I don't WanNa know y'all ready. Got The punch. Listen to the PODCAST. By nature buffets attract the very customers that they wished to avoid big eaters with insatiable appetites. Buffet seek to fill the customers belly as cheaply as quickly as quickly as possible. That's where you're not gonNA fool me down. So the employees. A number of research backed tricks to get people to eat less food. They put the cheap filling stuff at the front of the buffet line. That is an amateurs mistake. Yano it took me up on roles and stuff you idiot rookie. Seventy five percent of buffet customers select whatever food is in the first trae seventy five percent out of the first trae sixty percent of all the food they consume comes from the first three trace. I almost by reflex walk by the first three trade. I it took me a while to figure this out but once I have it's become practically religious for me. You do a walk through I You'll check out everything I they use. Smaller plates smaller plates reduce. The amount of food consumed obviously more trips. And if you're walking to the buffet table you stick to one plate right. Come on the hand one balanced on the phone one of my head one of my shoulders. I'm linking the seventies variety show. They use. I didn't know this the all that I knew this. I didn't know they use than average serving spoons for things like potatoes to fill you up and smaller than average tongues for the meets. Aw you'll get like a snow shovel for your potatoes tweezers for any sort of brief once. They frequently refill water and use extra large glasses boy. Now but the mentioned that I do remember the buffets. They've always got the giant trash can of water. Therefore you trying to fill you up. Don't fall for that again. I'm eating dry. No BEVERAGE EVEN HIGH END BUFFETS. It says here like the ninety eight dollars. Brunch at the hotel door Coronado in San Diego which is not eaten. Have you eaten? Met Anson Fabulous Hotel eight dollar brunch. They hide the truffles. The fog gras and the oysters. You literally can't find so they're listed and you know they're there but why are they? I guess I'll eat another role while I'm looking for my wasters where hails travel? Where's the law I am? You know? They're stacked pancakes for truffles. But what happens when a customer ignores these tricks devours a Godzilla sized portion of food? Is it possible to out? Eat The all you can eat buffet. Of course it is. It's got to be right where there's it will So they go through a scenario here. Let's imagine that Larry. Two Hundred Eighty Pound Defensive Lineman decides stop by his local all. You can eat buffet after a big game. Hello Larry Larry pays his twenty dollars in proceeds to eat five servings of steak and chicken far more than the average customer. That's a lot. The cost of this food to the buffet amounts to about sixteen ninety. That means that after factoring in other expenses Larry's handed the restaurant a loss of eight dollars and fifty cents luckily eaters like Larry into the all you can eat buffet pricing model. They know that there's only a certain number of people like that Most.
