"Support that would be the best most helpful for you in this moment. Use your good hands on your worthy body and make it happen and then feel the warmth now resting your awareness on your breath letting your hands for lax. Just take a couple moments here to see and feel your body breathing in and your by breathing out might be easiest at your nostrils or your chester your belly but just pick one of those places and feel and see your body breathing in and your body breathing out letting your mind get a little quieter as you. Rest your awareness on your breath Now opening your awareness to your whole body imagining breath going in and out your skin. Your whole body breathing. Xl really imagining the energy. Going out past your skin. Now thinking of a word that you'd like to breathe into yourself today. Could be peace or ease or hope for love or healing taking a word in on your end breath just for you like somebody's whispering a little love note in your ear just for you taking it in then because we are these vessels for good breathing a word out and it could be to a specific individual in your mind's eye that you love or that suffering or could use a little boost today where you could just painted out over the globe to all beings a word on the out breath mof peace fees. "Abrash in the comics you certainly come to side with him in the face of evil similarly with kali though sam had a great speech very effective a one of the best written for the show. Did you gain sympathy for carly after death. I sent me did little bit little bit. Was sam you know. I think he he phrased so eloquently that he didn't have a problem with her goals. It was her methods. That was the problem the way she was out. He literally in fact she was misguided which is exactly the point and ray continuing is still viewed her evil in the way she didn't consider human life and in brackets. He says she indirectly even says battle stars. Life was pointless very influence. She was a little bit of a sociopath that regard so though i very much sided with sam when he told off the senators i couldn't find the same empathy sam had for carly i think arro- was written quite opened down in that sense. I think we're meant to feel disgust. Then have empathy for her but it was quite a difficult thing to balance. I guess that's the point though. Everything isn't necessarily black and white. Don't think that's that's the conclusion of the message. I haven't missed any now. I just want to make sure i have anything. They're going to cut you off ray. So no exact exactly. If you show on this like alone who look like the greatest mr league but yeah janas had such an insane real house. This guy not going to be good. It's honestly one of the great one of the process to 'cause they're trying to take high volatility players and i believe in twenty thirteen. That was the anti bennett. Went first overall and it was like an incredibly weird draft in the sixers ended up with like a bad at a now or could have kilo Anyway fishes cnc. Any ben at one okay. It was a otto porter and so they took new orleans. Noel and they should have taken the swing. Kuba really makes you think basketball me. That's one of the be we did. My last name so we have that in common. Couldn't say your last name for awhile. "Five goals gave five goes eight Yankees, also six two and twelve and two in the playoffs in regular season after a law. So yes, they're going to Tony. They have no turn it. But to become a prop him up and stopped taking stupid penalties. Tony your best shorthanded attack. Has to be your goaltender being great. They have no choice but to put him in and he's a great story. He was like eighth on the depth chart. He's great story. But you know what? The Bruins are five and five in a row on the road in those five and the outscored the opposition, twenty two four and the blues embedded at home. They're five Laurie. Now right now, the blues are going to win tonight. Windsor night to even the series at Bennington going to be great. There you go. Jim money down put your money down here. Wait, let me get some money, get some money. Blue money's down. Let's take a break, but still to come that shows refuse to come out of the game. How does that can make more tina's look national this? So funny, should tiger feel good about the US open after his top ten finish at the memorial money I got five bucks on the Bruins tonight confidence, five bucks. Do you what do you got on the blues? I'm put a. It's male time as always all of the questions are sent in by legendary actress Angela lansbury. Let me get the first one is a little lansbury really did David Moore, tina's, Looksmart or soft for not pulling shares her when he wanted to give you most of the time on this because this is so near and dear to your heart. I'm just gonna say, I, he probably looked soft and after shares say Gaddi, then he looked smart because it turned out, okay? Because he struck out the suing batter. But you tell me what you think mister net. This is exactly what I think that David Martinez knew that he was going to go out there and max was going to tell them to turn around and go back into the dugout and scream. No, I'm not coming out and in strikeout, Joey vodka, which is exactly what happened with his one hundred twentieth pitch of the game. And then you get to Sean Doolittle opening up the ninth inning, which is what Dave Martinez wanted matches. And, you know, I think this. This is the most competitive, the best teammate, the biggest star in all sports in Washington DC. And I think this worked out very well for match. Sure. Zor and for Davey Martinez and I haven't been Dave Martinez. He knew what was going to happen. That was fine. Will on that is the sixth time in his career. He said, fifteen or more strikeouts than unbelievable. Number good. How Tiger Woods feel heading into the US open. I mean everything went well yesterday. Tony all the numbers say he another uptick physically if he feels as he looked yesterday. That's the most important factor. I mean he's got to feel pretty good, and I know going to pebble that makes them feel great. He loves Pebble Beach, but, you know, he's going to go in there with the monsters. Tony in great form. So I he's gotta be cautiously optimistic. This is this is what I want to get to what you just said. He's going in. There was some monsters. Tiger said the other day that he wants to return to more traditional US open. He wants the rough to be very, very thick. Anyone's the fairways to be narrated. Why would he want that because he sprays the driver with the reasoning want that is he? Us driver, he'll use high or he'll use any would and he'll see hill ended correctly. Whereas the Brooks is industrial Johnson's in the world, they try to overpower everything. And if they really rough really thick roughly does not work for them..

"I mean that while we'll get to. Wow. During the second Joshua was a late bloomer. But Tony Joshua's got a glass, chin, this isn't the first time he's been knocked down by somebody. You think where you can't take him out? He's been knocked down like four times. He had Joshua's. But Tony, it's not the heavyweight division is hurting because 'cause projecting forward, they need that division needs a super fight in these fight like the old days with Tyson, Holyfield, or bull. Holy it needs that. And now Deontay wilder who caused Joshua fraud and he looks like he's completely accurate that super fight Tony diminished. I think I hope it will happen. But it's boxing is in much better shape because of this because I think Andy Ruis in his own way, very charismatic. He's a Mexican American which means with the with the passion that next Americans have short game heat, and go to the west coast, he can sell out anywhere and how about this way. Chip of Mexican descent doesn't like these, I've got the auntie wilder. I've got ta. And fury. And I've got Joshua who deserves a rematch in this. I think this is very good for boxing ice. Wanna quote, if I could the great teddy atlas on this fight. He said of Ruis said he just ruined one hundred years of physical fitness, Jack his auto business. Any said Josh was like a tall building in a tall building there. Lot of windows to break and this guy broke all the windows. I don't understand why you think this is bad for boxing. This is more heavyweights people care that. X is fit fitness back on hundred years. That's sentence, alone ought to convince you, I love this guy. Love watching him fight. He's, he's four. I'm happy for him. I want to big heavyweight super fight like the old days. Tony, we really got to sleep with us from and you can build to. Now, this is so dry and kick. I hope you're the KOMO twenty five. Guys kicking each other in the mid may guys. I just hope you're right in the scenario you just painted. When we last checked, in on the Stanley Cup final Jordan bidding tin, and even the series with the Bruins in the blues at every reason to believe he could carry them to their first Cup. But then came a disastrous game three when he gave up five goals. It was yanked out to a seven to Boston victory. Now comes game four and Saint Louis has to put them right back in netface carnivorous, Bruins attack, particularly on the power play should the blues. Tony feel confident with him between the pipes. Tonight confident are you crazy? No. You just went over this, this the testing he gave up five goals. They had to yank him from that game. I know I understand creek, Baru loves them. I understand that. He plucked them off the bench and the guy's been great. I understand he's had Down's back games. This is an absolute must win for the Saint Louis blues at home, where they're not very good. And you're asking me becomes he started out the season? Let me get this straight on the CNN Tonio rampage that could be a team in that for all we know no confidence. No wrong. He six two in the play offs. Tony after a loss. So he made lose what he's also your stopper twelve and two on the season after losing. Okay. Now, I really the first thing they have to do and Saint Louis stop takings. Give a five five, what five goals gave five goes eight Yankees, also six two and twelve and two in the playoffs in regular season after a law. So yes, they're going to Tony..

"If you're in our cert segment after our news interview is just going to be a little bit more free form kind of a. Anything goes so much structure and rigidity in in Syria podcasting, and Dan, and I have the courage to say, you know what? In the end, we're just gonna talk about whatever we kinda feel like Syria wise and Dan, you've hinted at something here in the show notes that I would love to hear more about the existence of cherry vanilla. Cheerios. What will say the former existence, the former existence. Okay. Please tell me tell me more. I have to know. Well, it all started when I was doing some sort of university project a little while back where I was trying to do a time line of all the different Cheerios releases. I tend to tie a lot of my projects into cereal and it probably you know, relates a lot to my unpopularity in school, but. I was looking through this book that I have the serial guidebook if you will, that pretty much details the history of every cereal variety. And when they came out very handy for a purpose like this one to what is it call. The name escapes me right now. That's the one. Yes. Very nice. It's a beautiful book. I highly recommend it. It's right above my toilet. It's a fantastic book. But yet if you look at sort of the cheerio section, they talk about how there was a time when there is different, fruity flavored cheerio combos being released at the same time. And let's check the book for the other ones. But on that list is cherry vanilla. Cheerios one that I never recalled seeing stores, nor does Google recall, ever seeing a box of it anywhere for that matter. I started to wonder whether this was just an error in the writing, or perhaps someone was missed, remembering something, like how I dismiss remembered that that's a real word Mr. membrane. So I obviously dug deeper did more research because how can I claim to be a serial expert? If I don't know what years cherry vanilla Cheerios came out. So I looked around the web using my typical methods that I used to find new serials like a dig deep through whatever a dark corner of the web store, cereal secrets. And all I could find was a YouTube video where someone made a fake commercial for cherry vanilla Cheerios around the time of their release, and it was like a weird, super low budget affair. That was kinda creepy honestly. And I didn't know if this person was just like. I don't know trying to present some alternate history that would then be adopted by history books, but I didn't wanna stop there because in the video was also this distorted very low quality image of the box. And that's holding me enough that I don't think someone who's production value was this low could actually make a convincing box like that. So I I went straight to the source after having consulted with my cereal. Peers also didn't know anything. And I reached out to the general mills archive and asked them directly and low, and behold it did exist, but it was only released in select markets, and I managed to get a hi rez box again, out of the deal though to know nine, my contribution to serial history of anything will be realizing. And recognizing the proud legacy of the cereal that everybody else forgot about. Apparently willing to let go is this is the commercials still on the YouTube. Can you still is it is a dance decking right now. I'm checking right now. Found it, what's it called? Let me to send it over to you quick. Okay..

"But now in recent years he's Dopp did sort of an orange flavor. So. Personification of yummy mummy as though he is a mummy who is making decisions about what flavor mar bits. He's going to be putting into his cereal each year. Well, I mean, you can't just be vanilla all your life. You've got to eventually and I, how many orange cereals have you actually seen out there? Agree that it was probably a good decision. And he's probably thousands of years to think about it. So it's true. It's a greeting, you know, I- grass from the actual news story at hand that we saw this card game, we saw these new designs and he was like, all right, that's gotta be it. That's probably how they're gonna look on boxes to because it looks pretty damn cool. They looked kind of like if you look at the monsters muster, crunches woods call. If you look up the board game, they kinda look like new rent vintage newspaper cartoons almost like paper cutouts that were layered in the very ornate fashion. But and then target, especially with the store that was pushing even more monster merchandise from there. It started with a board game evolved into, we saw pint glasses, I believe, as well as puzzles l. featuring all five monsters. Some the hype was there and twenty. Eight teen is also the five year anniversary of twenty thirteen, which was the first time that. We're brought back from the twentieth century into the twenty first, the stars were lining and we all expected big things. But then the announcement came on August first that the board game was pretty much the only new thing about the monster cereals this year. The bucks art and concept is the same as last year where it's basically just a Syria with monster marshmallows that are shaped like a more ghosts and Frankenstein's head after concussive damage and stuff like that. But they are coming back like that. At least we've got that we have the, the original three will be will be with us an yummy, mummy in fruit. Brute will be here in spirit. I guess technically the real fun comes from how Kellogg's kind of l. to general mills on this one with with their own Halloween series that debuted under a week after, oh, tell me about it. So in previous years, alongside the more exciting, typically, monster cereals, Kellogg's has been releasing apple jacks. Fruit loops. And chocolate. Frosted flakes all with skeleton shapes marshmallows. I just feel like you can't just add marshmallows into a serial I. This is my opinion off. You put marshmallows and everything. I think the markets with flakes is like a weird combination for me yet. It's kind of like nuts and gum together. Nobody's really asked for it nuts in Qom. Yes, but I was still kind of one over by these skeleton marshmallows because they're like neon, orange and white. And there's like different ribcage pieces and humorous is that you can just stick together to make your own skeleton marshmallow are and make just triple headed tyrannosaurus bone demons for breakfast, and that piqued my curiosity from the very start. But they brought them back this year and really step their game and kinda just impressed the hell out of me. So if you look at the bucks are you can look on my website or just look up these serious individually on Google, I guess. Tony, the tiger is decked out in this full bell. Lugosi Dracula outfit to cancer is wearing aware, wolf costume. The apple jacks cinnamon stick and apple are dressed as mummies. And those skeleton shape marshmallows are now shaped like a bet. The Frankenstein and ghost kind of sounds a little familiar to me if you think about it altogether. Right? Yeah, I believe Dan, it's called Frankenstein's marshmallow. The I say, I'm looking these pictures on Syria, list's lead dot net. Currently Tony's of this is reading a little bit like old timey movie usher to me terribly streaky. Well, they probably went to just party city or something. Yeah, costs and they can find. It's just for a few months. You don't wanna blow the whole budget on the well. If if you see it as a reaction to general mills dead and how they kinda disappointed us, they probably didn't have much time to invest in a wardrobe, but they really got their point across because when general mills didn't really do anything, this is a major upgrade of the kind of like throw shade at them by taking their famous monsters and showing what a real evolution looks like. Yeah, they really. They really showed them..

"Hello, everybody and welcome to the empty bowl. Breakfast, Alexis, a meditative show about serial. I'm your coast Justin Maccarone, and I'm joined as always by the creator and editor in chief of cereal Asli. Dan Guber. Hello? Hello. Damn is a serial expert. Do you think that's fair in? Well, I guess by most conventional metrics, you would say that if we're doing, we're looking at the blogosphere in the the digital pantheon of cereal expert. I'm definitely high up there if you type in cereal blogs, that's probably my number one claim to fame is being number one. So I guess it's good of credentials as any that passes in my book. We wanted to make a podcast. This podcast is exclusively about serial, not the murder mystery, which is why we couldn't put cereal in the title because it's just too much. We would even be the first ones that think thinking that anyway, we'd be ninth ones. I looked up serial podcasts. Actually, we're starting talking about this. There was like a few parodies cereal and they like they bailed after like three or four episodes like you cowards. Leave it. Keep up your ear, lame, half joke that. In vogue. So this is also kind of we wanted to also make this kind of a we say, meditative, sounds highfaluting. I guess I should say what what? What the intent of that is basically just to have a place where you can relax when you listen to this show is going to be soothing. Some relaxing music gets a relaxing conversation about serial, and that's it. So it's a place where you can sit down, you can relax, close your eyes if you like, that may be a bit much, but why not go for it? And we're just gonna talk about cereal and you. You're only job for the next. However, many minutes is just to breathe and think about serial that debt. So Dan, what is new in the world of cereal? Well, it mainly August thing about August. Yep. I see. We can to August, you know, but we're already getting into the fall cereals. They always start early. The first of August has historically been, you know, the announcement date unofficially of the general mills, monster cereals for probably everyone who was once a child. I know I was you probably remember count chocula, Franken, berry and boo berry, and they come back every year. Everybody always wants them around all the time, but it's pretty easy to see why scarcity makes them more appealing, especially when you consider the the, the Matic evolution that tends to happen every year with them. Now there was was there some buzz that maybe we were going to get the yummy, mummy and fruit brute that they might be? Yes, but I know he said, this is going to be a soothing podcast, but this is kind of a dour note to start on that. It was like a month ago now that we found online through like some board game fandom website that general mills was releasing a monster, serial card game with some. Convoluted game about building your breakfast and earning milk tokens and all this random jargon. But it wasn't really about the game. They got people excited. It was that on the box, there were new drawings of all five monsters including Britain, yummy, mummy, who if you don't remember, we're respectively introduced for just a few years during the seventies and eighties and fruit. Brute is aware wolf. If you couldn't tell from his name and he had sort of, well, they both had the same serial structure as count, chocula, et cetera, and company. But instead of having chocolate strawberry or blueberry flavored pieces bird head cherry and orange or yummy. Mummy used to have been Ila..

"Hainault Earl on earlier, we were talking about touch and how powerful and necessary that is for pretty much any kind of relationship. But there's also food and so much bonding life happens over food. So many memories of happier times must have come back to add non without ice cream thing about this food in prison as everyone knows is in great, is shitty. There's not a lot of in prison food that good ones anyway. So EDNA, got this knicker ice cream. We don't get ice cream, barely get ice cream. The only time we can really get special food is when there's like food sales, it's kind of a fundraiser. We get like menus to order food off of, but it don't have enough and having like maybe twice a year. Yeah, they raise money for different charitable organizations and guys who have money. That's where they can spend some of it. We now have a first food story from Antwan Williams, Antoine lows Mickey D's, and he hadn't had a Big Mac in seven years. He'd been incarcerated, but then they had a food sale with McDonald's on the menu. That doesn't happen often. Our one Big Mac when large fries in when they when I deliver the food, it gets here nine. So around eight fifty. I'm Wade my shoes on. I got my little bag. I got my ID to make sure they don't have no problems. Nine o'clock, the officers unlocking to tears from the bottom to the top. And I could hear people. Date they run into rentals. Are you going to give me a spot line? You can hear everybody all the chatter. It got to montier. They opened at Bari was almost like the Kentucky Derby, two way. People shooting out them damn sales. And I was one of I got to the lower yard and at to be lease two hundred guys in lie. So I said in line for almost two hours and I'm thinking I'm receive this nice warm bed with bag was ice cold. I didn't even give it to him. I sat back to west set my ass right on that tier head. My feet dangling off the fifteen like it was a romantic sin, and I sit there is such peace in tranquility in eight, the coldest big mecca of her head in my life within fries. Oh, it was. It was like a piece of my past that I was able to have in a moment images. It wiped everything prison away. I for those maybe. One hundred twelve seconds. It took me to score scarf my burger and fries down. And how long did that relaxed feeling last. That relaxed feeling than last too long? Because soon after my mom asked me a question about spirituality, and she says that like she's struggling with spirituality because. I'm still in prison. And why is this happening to me? Why is it difficult for her to make all five of prayers wise? It difficult for her to get up in the morning. Why is it difficult for her to make a prayer at night before she goes to sleep? And she's actually asking questions. She wants us Aleutian from me, found it difficult to give her Nassar and I feel horrible about that. Does announcement made is about thirty minutes left for visit. I get excited. I'm glad it's over. Dan. Just close out. She's telling me how good feels she tells me I feel so happy. I feel so relieved is so good to see you. You look so look, well, you look good. You look handsome right before she leaves. I gave it a same kind of hug the side hug with the one arm around her shoulder her head, and she reaches the, she grabbed me full full strength, both arms squeezes me. She doesn't want to let go. And again, once again, just like the beginning, I'm trying to pry her off of me. And then when she releases she, she grabs my my face and kissing me on my cheek, and I said, all right, mom are laid RC. See late RC later and she walks away by as she's walking away. She keeps looking back at me. She goes through the glass door. She still looking back at me. She stands in the line inside the glass door where they're getting processed out. She's still looking at me waving blowing kisses. Embarrassing stuff mothers do and I'm like, all right, leave on. Gosh, jeeze I'm looking at me and that's what I'm thinking inside squirmy. I'm squirming leave me alone. Now is over, please let it be over and then they call me once they call me, I wave goodbye. Final time tour and that was it. Visit ended. It's
