"I always enjoy on the hour. When the church bells toll. It's always such a nice calming experience. I don't know that it is for locals when, when you're so used to it. But it's it's always such a wonderful, wonderful sound. We were in London at Christmas, and hearing that just, oh, puts me in such a good place. About two hundred yard one hundred twenty yards from the house, and they can be pain, mainly one to call to go to the service around seven pm. But they also give you the quarter of an I was quarter half an hour and quarter to Where'd you grow up. Switzerland. Are you French or German or Italian? Actually fanny citizen that was born in Switzerland. In the German. So who do you root for between federal and the doll? A hard one. I always spend to route a little bit more for Spain to my bench. But it hard it's really hard. That's the greatest with French Swiss Spanish rivalry of all time thing. It is. And they actually played today. Tomorrow. The duck tried if it doesn't rain inside today. You know, a big tennis fan. But I I love that game. I think. Such a really cool game. I watch sports soccer hockey baseball late. Do you ever listen to podcasts? No rarely okay. Do you know how to listen to a podcast? No. But I learned that pretty quick, do you have apple phone? Go to apple and on your homepage. They won't let you take it off. There's a there's an app, that's purple that looks like a letter with bullseye behind. So it'll stick out in this podcast. Okay. Say search and search for something called supports wars. Sports wars wars of sports. It's the only one call sports wars. And when you go to it, they have a multi part series about the doll and Federer, that is such incredible storytelling of their rivalry and the respect, they have reach other and how far they've pushed each other, and the history of one, you know, Nadal winning the France in federal winning Wimbledon, and then the doll manages to win Wimbledon. And, and it's just it's the greatest rivalry in tennis. It's an I'm a lifelong tennis fan, but it has fired me up for tennis so much. I mean it's, it's an incredible incredible story about their Raveling. Very luckily, that rivalry of two amazing player that ARCO humbling respectful. The whole point part of the podcast is about how if you don't have a rival in your era, then his hard for you to rise up to that level of greatness, you know, McEnroe headboard and win Bork retired too early McEnroe begged him to come back and, and Sampras had Agassi, who was not his match, but he needed something in about about how that, you know that comparison where did you grow up in Switzerland. "I mean, I touched Johnson's week one something like that. Thanks a long. That is a long streak. He's still he's still has not had a game since week one week when he had one hundred twenty yards and a touchdown. That was by far is best game. He hasn't even come close to that. Which is crazy. You know, he was the number one tied in most people picked maybe two or three but very disappointing year. So it was nice see him ERT set another big game for the girls. He's probably the best in the NFL right now hammer, Kelsey, right? Yeah. It's one and two seven for ninety one and a touchdown for earth's. That's another good game. And you know, when you look at his upcoming opponents Redskins Dallas in the Rams. I mean, he might be able to do some damage. They're here as we approach the fantasy football playoffs. Okay. Do you want to move onto defense is sit out to you. Sure. Do you have any particular leaf? I do think it's pretty obvious right away. The ravens defensive touchdown and a special teams touchdowns. So you got two touchdowns from using them yesterday. They only give up seventeen points. They end the day at twenty three fancy points pacing the. The position. So what do you? What about you? There wasn't a lot of defensive efforts. But I had to get the chargers some credit is only allowed ten points and like other solid performance and Boso at an amazing game. So I give them the credit. But we take a break. Yeah. We we should take a break. When we come back. We'll talk about some players that were just underwhelming the duds of week twelve. We'll see who you know. Maybe we thought we're going to do. Well, maybe you thought we're going to do well and talk about those players, and and see if this might be something that lingers around or if it's just a one off..

"Is this the move object and the super resistible for this is one team absolute strength going up against the other teams absolute weakness, which is why four Seattle it's so critical. They get the run game going again. Like they did last week. I liked a lot what I saw from shod penny last week. Now, Rashad benny's guy. They drafted in the first round and up until last week. They've got nothing out of him. He was their third string running back with injuries. Since the beginning the hard time. Transition the pro football. Absolutely. But this was they a lot of people thought they overdrafted him. They saw something in daylight and then early in his career he'd been injured ineffective last week. He was pressed into service with Chris Carson being out. And he was outstanding. He had one hundred twenty yards. I want to see if they can keep that going because the only way to keep Russell Wilson upright when you have a pass rush. That is underrated as effective as Green Bay's and offense of line that is ineffective as Seattle's is. If Green Bay has to worry about the running game, they have to defend run. I passed second. Then all of a sudden Russell Wilson on the play action in particular can be affective. Then the Seattle passing game can be affective. 'cause this Seattle team is a good story. And I give credit to the coach and the quarterback for keeping them afloat. But then beat anybody all year. They got four wins against four bad football teams beating Green Bay would be far and away the best team they beat. No, you're they've been close close twice against the Rams. Close against the bears. They've had some close games. But don't have any quality wins yet. All right. So we know how the Packers get to Russell Wilson. How they beat the team you know, what their weaknesses? What's their strength? Is it the run game? How do they get to the Packers the strength Seattle Seattle right now? It's been a running game. I in the National Football League. Good in the red zone. Top five team in the red zone. So also Doug ball when he's been hurt since the preseason. He's played in seven games this year. But in doing interviews this week he talked about this. The first time the Disney hadn't felt pain in since the off season. So look for him to be more productive to think to Seattle with Russell Wilson one of the top five quarterbacks. We typically talk about in the league that they would be twenty-seventh in passing that right? There is those numbers don't seem like they go together. So look for them to try to build on that number against a pack that I wanna talk about Rogers for a moment because something looked when I was looking into this game..

"Whether it's a turnover fourth-down stop or or a field goal or misfield. That's the stuff that turns the over under. It's not necessarily. It's almost like sloppy football leads to higher scoring games. You're gonna have turnover champ short fields and a lot of possessions. Go back and forth. So a little bit of a little bit gambling advice. If any of you out there want to I don't know make make a small fortune with those guaranteed. That's right there. Let's go saints. Rams. This is just I mean, this is a monster matchup. This is you know, we were all excited about Rams Packers last week and saints Vikings. This is. Win percentage wise. I mean, you have a you have eaten over six in one right now. And this is this is a huge matchup and the six and one team hosts, and as the older, you know, as the old way of thinking goes saints are always better indoors at home than they are anywhere else. They are. I think this game comes down to or at least. I don't know if they are. But that's that's still thinking goes. Yeah. This game. I think comes down to what's the answer. New Orleans has for Todd Gurley. The more I watched that offense. And what girl is doing for them in the passing game in last week against Green Bay. He split out in the empty formations and caught the ball a few times and on some important is thirty touchdown. As two point conversion, those came out of those formations. I don't love the saints linebackers in coverage. I don't know if you play manners zone against him to offset it. But however, it is you're going to get girly on the linebacker at some point do the saints consider going with big nickel putting on bell in the game as third safety with Kirk Coleman rather than rotating home. I think you've got to something special against Todd girl. I don't think you can just line up and play your usual stuff. What happened in the first half last week? Why were the Packers successful against this Rams offense? Because I mean, they were they not off around. Can the saints can the saints. Go sort of blitz happy here and try and replicate that in the simplest what happened in the first half in the simplest terms. You know? I don't know. Do you think your Gulf listens to our podcast? I bet he listened to half of them. I been we're on his feet, and he gets this late into the show this. Yeah. I'm gonna go see him on Friday. So I don't wanna be too critical of them now. But he he was not good early on. He was yes, not himself and he left a number of throws on the field and it made for an inconsistent offense at halftime. It was like a light bulb went on for for golfing to also give other credit his receivers became more policy. There just was not the same cohesiveness. The Rams are very detailed in their route nuances and the timing in the spacing and how they stem in present their routes, and they got sharper at doing that after halftime and golf got sharper reading the field. And all of a sudden it was the Rams offense again, but they were not themselves early in the game. And in golf was for whatever reason he was not a comfortable QB early in that game. Yeah. And no Cooper Cup in that game. Obviously. I I don't wanna call him a security blanket. It seems like golf is quite comfortable with a with a lot of those guys go early and and woods and and and Brandin cooks Cooper Cup. At least the early reports. Sean McVay had said there is a good chance up is back in the lineup for this game. So that might that might sort of help smooth things out without offense a little bit not that they not that. They were terrible. There is bad for one half of football. And then they won the game. Anyway. Yeah. The saints. Saints offense almost got something of a a week off against the Vikings. But with all those turnovers sorta got to the end of that game. And and I'm even realized so the next day mostly because I wanna fancy matchup because of it. But drew Brees threw for one hundred twenty yards in that game. They just they didn't have the ball much because. They kept on getting overs from Minnesota..

"Apple to give them some help on the back in the secondary really supported him force in two turnovers. The interception there and then also the fumbled. They calls with fee with even earlier in the game. So now you're starting to see getting supported they had a van to three quarters against Tampa Bay Fizi magic called him. And then since then you have seen drew Brees and this team doing whatever they have to run the football. Drew Brees did not have the type of stat line. You're gonna say, wow, man, he blew him away jewelry. No the football team won this game. Drew Brees helped him win the other five, but this one right here special teams and defense gets it done last night. Threw threw for one hundred twenty yards. We've seen do that in a quarter in the game. And they won comfortably member last week. When we talked about the patriots bears game. And I said the bears one basically every stat but lost because a special teams touchdowns allowed in this game the Vikings they had more total yards. They'd better. They were better on third down. They had fewer penalties day more time possession. They had more first downs. So why they lose man? Those two turnovers were killer. One of them takes points off the board the feeling fumble. They are on their at least going to get three. They might get seven and up to that up to that feeling fumble they had been dominating the football game. And so it's not only a fumble that takes points off the board. But it is returned deep into Minnesota territory wide receivers played great for Minnesota passing attack. But they were responsible right there, Stefan digs shallow cross. And man to man, you cannot stop the quarterback will not know you're stopping so cousin throws it. We're digs is supposed to be picks. Going the other way Adam feeling they throw him a smoke route. You know, the Cornerbacks going to be outside. If you decide to go inside, you know, the key in the smoke in the thunder is coming after you. So when you go in there, you're taking the risk yourself and Phelan took that chance they caused a fumble critical turnover at the Vikings get a touchdown there. They go up twenty to ten they ended up losing thirty two twenty. So you huge turnaround. And it was created by the wide receivers of the Vikings poor decision making by both of them. Can you explain more on the digs play? Because I Collins worth mentioned on the broadcast you've been harping the last few weeks that more than half of the interceptions in this league are not the quarterbacks fall there. The receivers fault. I understand that digs can't stop. Why would he have stopped? What is he what's going through freelancing? That's what you you. Start freelance and think you know, what's best compared to running out the play. It's MandA man, which are typically going to do is look at the defensive back in stair step him. Across the field and stick it and run away the quarterback because he knows it's man to man there is nothing that it's told him that the guy is going to stop..

"The icing on the cake by showing up to the game in the classic vintage, Mike Ditka. Head coaching bear sweater. Rocking out, shades and all sets a strong tone. So it's a very strong tone one. I can really appreciate Mitchell Trubisky after the game talking about that decision. I wouldn't call it a costume address Lesin so amusing not big into him. But had Hello slim. Brewed up for this or just respecting one of the greats. Where Where'd you get all the different parts of the drill? I own everything, but the sweater vest. So my manager Tony Medlin came in. 'cause she loved the idea and they've been found some shades to go wrong with it as well. So that's how that's how you stay beloved in this city right now as you work out the kinks Mitch Trubisky yesterday going through the game sixteen of twenty nine to one hundred twenty yards in two touchdowns. And if the beginning game, I mentioned making some of his best plays with feet right now that who he is. He's a young quarterback who's learning to work through everything else. And when it breaks down he makes plays feet, and he makes good once. Mitch Trubisky is a superb athlete. Up until one touchdown run. At the end of the panther's game actually had overtaken. Cam Newton for the lead and quarterback rushing yards in the season. That is hard to do considering Cam Newton and much more design part of their rushing attack in their offense. But this is still a team where you see Mitch Trubisky. Not overly accurate over. The course of that game. Mitch Trubisky one of four for nine yards. One first down in a sack on third down in their first half yesterday. And I understand this jets defense is very good and presents a lot of issues. The jets defense can do to a lot of people despite their youth on that side. What most veteran defenses can do to young quarterbacks and rookie quarterback's which is confused them send a variety of pressures from different places.

"Bring in one squeeze bottle to every booth at just would have been. I don't know it would not have been feasible, but I give them a lot of credit for bringing individual sandwiched everybody here at the army eastern Michigan game. I did. And by the way. Army is army so fun to watch. It was at eastern Michigan. So they just had all kinds of sorted. Little Caesars pizza that was the press box was a bunch of Little Caesars pizza, and you know, Brian. It wasn't like a really really nice press box spread. But I'm fine with it. I'm fine with you. Give me they had pepperoni. They Canadian bacon. They plane. I'm good. I'm fine with it. So. I was actually pretty happy with it. As for the game. You know, I felt like the game kind of turn Bri. 'cause the Packers defense was dominating. I feel like the game turned when the Rams got that safety because the Packers were up ten nothing. Their defense was dominant. And then Mark Barron slices through gets that safety. And the next thing, you know. The Packers make too crazy catches one was branded cokes. One was girly. And they get a touchdown. So went from ten nothing. Ten eight so quickly. I also give you know, a lot of credit to Sean McVay. He gets his guys wide open for the Packers J or Alexander. Head a terrific terrific day. He was fun to watch on the defensive side of the ball. And then, you know, you're talking about the time Gumri thing, which was just a shame. I mean, I would have loved to have seen what they could do. Just absolute shame. I think you also have to give credit to Todd Gurley again for not scoring at the very end of the game. And giving the ball back to the Packers with a chance to win it. We'll know because if you score a touchdown. They would have been up to scores then so I'm just mad at him. Because I tell people and even money podcast take the over. Yeah. And the total was fifty six fifty seven Bri the game ended at fifty six. So if he gets tackled then they kick a field goal and it hits over if he goes in the end zone. It's the over. He did the only thing he couldn't do. So I I'm really angry at girlies unselfishness. Can you not think of anybody then himself and his team? Can you not think about me and me telling you guys about the overall even money podcast, please we got one more game. Right. Tuck stakes. Takes. All right. It's Sunday night football saints at the Vikings year Bri these saints took down the Vikings thirty. Excuse me, thirty to twenty it looks like we're going to have an awesome game. I mean, it looked like it was going to be a very competitive exciting game early on. I thought you know, the Vikings wide receivers were incredible. After the saints marched down for a touchdown. The Vikings answered Adam theon ended up getting one hundred yards again, it's defined digs on that. First. Touchdown drive. Made a lot of plays. Really? It felt to me like the Vikings had the better of the first half until Adam feeling fumbled. And that was jarred loose by my wife, missing anybody, Alex, sands alone is the one that knocked it away. And so that was huge turn of events there at the end of the first half. And then obviously in the second half to pick six where man coverage to find dig stops. As route cousins sees color isn't expecting them to stop his route pick six the game was kinda over at that point. The look look one Treadwell. Penalty in their didn't help either the amazing thing for the saints is that they won by ten on the road and didn't really need drew breeze to be a superhero, man. They're running backs their offensive line really controlled the game their defense made enough plays. That's the best sign yet for the saints teams that they can get a huge win on the road without breeze. Having to be the man, and I think you'd like one hundred twenty yards passing. It's crazy. And now it sets up what's going to be an incredible incredible game between the saints and the Rams next Sunday. I would not be a Monday without a lot of injuries..

"And I know the Cleveland defense is no joke anymore. But I feel like it didn't matter in the Cincinnati Bengals off defense was no joke either in the Steelers push them around. I mean, if you go back and watch the film that we week six game. My goodness was the Bengals were manhandled by the Steelers offense of wine into what I'm saying. Is that I think personally that lady on lady on belt. Good Lord, James, Connor will go for over one hundred. And I think he I think he's gonna look at one forty for a total scrimmage yards. Didn't he have close to one forty in week one? I can't remember taught. My head knows close. I think it was almost I think it was north of that listeners. Let us know. I think it was north of that I'm thinking closer to one seventy ish. Really the game. Because I think he almost one hundred twenty yards rushing. He I think you're right there. Yeah. I think you're right. So okay. So you think false, but you see him having a good game. I say true. I also see him having a good game as well. All right. The Steelers will sack Baker Mayfield or whoever is quarterbacking the Browns at that time and least five times true or false. I'm gonna go true. I think the tackles Hubbard, and I don't know the other kid's name. I think the tackles on the Browns aren't very good in that first game. Steelers got seven sacks. I mean, the one thing that stands out when you look at the Cleveland Browns, they'd given up. Thirty one sacks this year, which is ranked lamps in the National Football League. Now of those thirteen of those are tributed to win. Tyrod Taylor was starting. But Baker Mayfield himself has been stack eighteen times which would be ranked fourteenth worst in the National Football League. So it's a case of no matter who's back there guys get sacked. You're talking about two very mobile guys. I mean, that's one of the strengths with Baker Mayfield secondary plays late late in downplays being able to move outside of the pocket and make plays. And we all know tyrod Taylor is a great runner. They're not good impasse pro. And I think TJ wa. And that's one of the key matchups in this game. For me is the up between Doug depre- in TJ watt against the Cleveland Browns tackles, they have to win that match up. I think they will win that matter, and I'll think they will have five or more sacks. So I think it's true. Okay. Just randomly tell us. How many how many things they have total? I think they get six six to seven again, it may not be the same way TJ watt. In that game. Had what five? Now he had four and it got taken back to three and a half because they gave half a Hargrave on the sack. So so you have to go get some bullet stuff 'cause Baker Mayfield. The ravens that a really good job of blitzing Baker Mayfield. I think Baker has some issues with the blitz. And I think that's a way you can break down their past protections. Well that he doesn't see recognize it quickly. And I think the blocking breaks down in the blitz to things which are bad things if you're trying to get good blitz. Pro so pass, bro. So I think the Steelers will get six or seven sacks. Again. I agree with you on all fronts. I think it's true. I think they will get the they might not be early in the game. I think that the Browns are out and really try to run the football. And they're going to try to keep that pass rush off of them and not expose Baker Mayfield. And then eventually because of the offense and the Steelers and you're going to have to throw the ball to get back in it. And that's when they can kinda T off and and get to made Mayfield. So we both agree on that one. And I also agree. I was going to say six ax. You said six or seven I could see both. I don't think it's going to go to eight or anything like that..

"His best play was a pass catch rather than a throw. So no, I am not confident Nicole's, but I am competent Philadelphia Eagles team because mostly of the guys that play the position you used to those defensive lineman. Absolutely. When you talk about competing for championship, you have to have defensive lineman neck and get after the quarterback, and you saw that pass rush on that. Last Atlanta, Falcons drive guys were getting after Matt Ryan. It didn't have a whole lot of time to set up and go through the defense progression and make the right read. So when I look at this team, it's more. Oh, so about this appointing cast, not Nick foles and the confidence that this group has based on what they were able to do last year. Doug Peterson, said it in that clip that we just played. This group didn't panic after quarter. Probably one of the worst quarters of football. We've seen his office play in the last couple of years where they only had one total yard that group came out in the second half, they were able to be productive. Put together drives you saw when Nick foles was able to do in terms of silicate me off. He wasn't great last night. Think it was one of his worst performance as starting quarterback for the eagles. But you saw did enough on the offensive in the running game came down, came to play, especially in the second hand, talk about that. They only had sixteen yards rushing in the first half. They ended up finishing with over one hundred twenty yards rushing. So that's to me the biggest part of this thing being complementary to the strengths of this team, which is the offense of line and the defense. And that's where I wanna give you credit. You said yesterday because I was talking about how good I think the Atlanta front seven can be. And you talked about the the size differential between the eagles. Offense blind and even a talented Atlanta front, seven and undersize Atlanta front. Seven. And you said if they're leaning on you throughout the game, come the second half. That's when you can get tired. If you're a defensive lineman, that's win that that offensive line can start to create holes. And that's what I saw didn't think Jay Ajayi was markedly better one half to the next, but the holes were there. He had more opportunities because the falcons don't have the d. line rotation Philly has they don't have the personnel..

"Haven't been that good of a defense the running game at least us for the last month has been a little erratic i think that's really on the blocking and they hoped that through arnn armstead their left tackle be back in this game and that will definitely help but they haven't really run the it's been more drew brees making plays kinda old school the last few weeks it's really gotten through the i would counter by saying to me in the two games i saw between these two teams yet aims clearly have the panthers number yeah they the panthers have given up one hundred twenty yards on the ground only twice all year both tons were to the saints commere who thrashed them controlled the games from the from the outset he made keithly in davis especially davis but even keithly had a pretty bad game in new orleans like he just made dave thomas davis gold at stuff to do i don't know how to say it's going to travel if they get out of this game and if you send them on the road but at home i just i like i like them a lot and drew brees for the record as you might expect because he always seems play well in the playoffs has been awesome at the superdome in the playoffs as won all four games ten touchdowns no interceptions past rating of one seventeen i just don't see them scoring less than thirty points this game and i donald with cam newton being such a scattershot guy west is right maybe the two thousand fifteen cam shows up and it's not impossible that happens but you really need the fda kinda hit on blackjack i think to be they're missing five starters on defense took to where they were at the start as he didn't six if he wanted to count delvine bro so it has not yet you're not going to get the two thousand fifteen panthers defense which has given up this year twenty four plus points being eight times it's like it this is not the it if you don't watch the if you just sign up for the playoffs you don't even watch the panthers you think other have a great defense and it's the same thing as before it's not the same defense they have player like i could.

"Fixable i think a lot of people thought that it would be fixed prior to leak five um but you know once they do get that communication down this defense won't be the worst in the nfl because there were four plays where the patriots just left a wide receiver completely open in cam newton was four from four for one hundred twenty yards with two touchdowns on those plays so obviously you can't just completely subtract all those yards in touchdowns from the game but if you do kim newton and suddenly throwing for less than two hundred yards with a touchdown and an interception and the patriots probably when that game by a touch yard too young doesn't seem like it's going to be easy to fix those problems on a short week and that's what the patriots have this week as they head out to tampa from the person i can yeah you know there's there are two ways to look at that i think the the biggest way is the one that you just said is that you know they aren't practicing they held one walk through the hold another walk through the day and they can't practise easy you know communication issues at full speed in the other way to look at it and i think the one of the players are are kind of trying to uh lean into a little bit is that they're they're giving a short week so they can put that game behind them just amelie move onto the buck in the years they're they're in these walk through so all they can deal with communique that's all they're working on they're not working out the physical trade so you know i think that they have high hopes that they can pull this together against the buccaneers by and what you just said at the short week there's no practice how can they fix these things in four days i think that you know there's two ways to look at death and the players themselves as of tuesday seem to have high hopes but we'll just going to have to see what happens tomorrow for sure on other issues for brown the team it seems like the offensive line is not playing it anywhere near his high level as it did not last year when starker nicky came back from retirement.
