Maximizing Productivity and Efficiency Through Delegating With Tech Entrepreneur Aaron Kemmer
"Aaron all we have is time and how we use our time. Is everything so. Break it down for us. How do you know when it's time to delegate projects. He i love that. You know one thing. I often quip about time. As you only get like twenty eight thousand days in line you want to really optimize us when eight thousand days in behind me on my wall. I have a piece of paper that has you know a a little circle for each of those days showing that you could fit each day on one sheet of paper not a lot of time and it really goes by quick and you know i think there's that famous quip like you know you and bill gates have the same amount of time right But the one thing that you can do is maybe buy more time by by delegating. You know and i think a really good time to to start doing that is before you before you think you should or before you kind of get kind of overloaded Because when you delegate you need to make sure you have the time to train. Somebody coached them. Build out a little bit of a process And that's hard to do. If you're completely swamped working. Eighty to one hundred hours a week. You know for instance which many many entrepreneurs kind of have so one of my entrepreneurial goals is usually like get the ball rolling. I loved like kick start something and then try to hand off to someone who's like even better than me at least at that specific kind of project or skill said One thing magic right now get like a few hundred people A few other companies have kind of reached. This this is is well usually when you get to a certain size. Say way before that it's You know maybe out. If it's a half a dozen or a dozen you if you really important aspect of the business you wanna have at least one person focused on that one singular goal that you kind of want to accomplish So it's a really good time to start delegating so it's like i don't know if you're trying to grow the top of funnel of your business you probably don't want If you've got like a dozen people in the company you know your admin exact focus on top the final scheduling emails. You know calendering all that kind of stuff like one person. Kind of focused on

Content Curation Methods - AI vs Manual
"A little bit of background. Every day we take in a maximum of one hundred hours of radio content and seven hundred or so hours of podcasts content for a very rough total of ran twenty five hundred hours a day. It's a veritable ocean of content. I ran a team of fish people. We need to fish this ocean for content. And we've tried to develop and refine strategies to do that on an average weekday. The team currently produces between two to three hundred reviewed boasts with people working a combined. Total of around twenty two hours a day burst. Length differs greatly but i randomly check today last week. The combined listening duration of all two hundred eighty seven approved. Bursts was over nine hours which is way too long for one person to listen to on a daily basis. So more on that later the history of content ration- audio burst the ways we've learned to fish has always ranged across the spectrum between ai and manual curation so far we've found traction by creating a hybrid system the tries to mitch the pros of both ways using the better qualities of each method to overcome the cons of the other when we tried to focus only on manual curation scouring hours of content for needle in a haystack gyms of pithy content. We found quality pieces of content but only a few per day. We had quality but very little quantity. When gull built a system that matched bursts archive to trending headlines. We had thousands of results. Some relevant some not some cut. Well some not quantity but not quality. We needed a better way. So we developed a system based on girls prototype automated candidates that within manually reviewed the system searched for audio content that match trending headlines and we added a bunch of rules such as how back in time to search for audio which sources to use to take headlines and a few others and then we would manually review the results all the data gathered from the reviewers when a boost was cut. Well by the i when it wasn't when the headline matched when it didn't all that data would be fed back to the research team to improve the quality of the candidates generated by the i. Older reviewed boasts would be inserted into playlists and classified by topics which would create playlists full of perfectly curated content. But the system wasn't perfect. We had a global team of review is working around the clock an hour here and now there and many would end up reviewing the same or similar content as others filling the playlists with duplicate content. Short explain to hear about duplicates. Well it's official. Prince harry and meghan markle burning in megan lawrence lead with the british royal family gets repeated usually every hour or half hour sometimes. The story develops sometimes it. Doesn't we need to catch those updates but ignore the repeated stories. We already have. That's a challenge. So we built a filter to remove duplicates which worked so so also the filter just removed the old version of an item. So sometimes a really good burst of content would be removed by a fresher less compelling one. We also told the team not to use too much editorial judgement if the audio match the headline it would be approved and added to a playlist. Now there's a lot of blather on the airwaves. If we had millions of users would quickly be able to work out who likes which type of content. but we don't this is chicken and egg problem with millions of users we can vastly improve our offerings but to get millions of users. We need to i offer. Quality compelling content another challenge some headlines particularly from certain categories like tick health and science. We're very hard to match content to. Us news was pretty easy. Audio content often matched print headlines tech headlines. Not so much ed. To that. The technical difficulties in transcribing esoteric terms that is terms that are specific to a niche topic and entities that insist on spelling things incorrectly. Like almost every high tech company. Ever well you can see where things get a bit more complicated. The fact is that while you can often easily create a one to one match between national news in print and national news in audio content. When the news topic is more niche it becomes much harder. This system also found a lot of radio content because of the nature of constantly updated. Radio content means that it tends to match printed content like the headlines. We're using to generate search queries more than podcasts. To try to overcome this problem we added another feature. We inserted bursts from quality podcasts. Those we selected as being the top of their class or category which we labeled vetted and we push that content into the review process. That content doesn't have to match a trending topic. It's just a snippet of whatever that podcast episode is about. These pushed bursts at quality and diversity to the playlists and increase the ratio of podcast to radio content. There are pros and cons to this method. Podcast basket playlists work on a somewhat similar
Persona 5 Strikers Review
"Let's talk about persona strikers review roundup gathering this at nine. Am it sat at an eighty. Four on metacritic. Twenty eight gave it a four point. Five out of five were keenum. Call says persona five. Strikers is proof. That change isn't always a bad thing. While it may not hold onto everything that made its forebear a phenomenon the new elements it brings to the table more than make up for it and show that the series future lies in more than just straightforward turn based jr pg's. It's an experience fans will find more than enough to love about And that will give them plenty of hope for the series. Bright future over at games beat. Mike manati gave it a four out of five and rights now. Strikers isn't exactly on the same scope as a full blown persona game. the social aspects aren't as robust. You weren't forty relationships with your characters. Are eating beef bowls increase your personality traits and not as long persona five may take you about one hundred hours to beat. Strikers only took me a bit over thirty hours to complete. I'm not gonna complain about that. Though that felt like a good length for an action role playing game and it makes sense that the experience would be a bit shorter without the counter events. That felt normal persona game prince parentheses. You aren't studying for tests or picking up after school jobs but you're still collecting personas. Infusing them to make new ones. You're still rocking out to an amazing soundtrack which includes a nice collection of new songs and remixed tunes persona five. And if you liked percent of five you're going to have a great time. I'm not sure. I'm not sure if you would call five strikers a spin off or a sequel honestly it feels more like the ladder but if you want to call it a spinoff. It's the best one that the persona series has offered yet and then it. It was an eight point zero from tom marks. Who writes persona five. Strikers main story is every bit a direct sequel to the persona five that it is every bit the direct sequel to promote a five. That seems making this summer road trip with the phantom thieves essential for fans of the original and probably pretty confusing for anybody who hasn't played it. It's lack of personas signature. Social calendar systems are the only places its spin off. Status becomes a bit of a letdown but even replacing turn based combat with real time. Action doesn't stop it from recapturing. The feel of its predecessor overall. Its structure is far more close to closer to the action. Its structure is far closer to action. jr pg's like kingdom hearts then the mousse omega force. Its best known for but the varied play styles of each character and the story that pulls them along made the fairly simple active hacking through shadows enjoyable to the very last surprise.
Interview with Prof. Mark Schroeder
"My the purpose of mark. Who's professional philosophy at the university of southern california. He's interested in the race reason. Be trash nalty reasons. Value and other evaluative normative categories are related to the monte physical world in which we live investing around grad or left of one another kamarck. It's great to be here. Thanks you want to start with one of your recipes. Persons s stings. You say the biologic of teachers thinks of blood whose behaviors by the same principles that govern the behavior of any other social mammals plus of migrants complications that come from the kersee possibilities of access to natural language. That much fact. I have one you mark. I had no philosophy board in my body and to the interesting to make matters worse. I'm in the business of making people less relevant in essence replacing people with machines. And so in. That context will be an interesting thing to think about so supposed to be have a machine that replaces person would think that machine is in. The machine is thing than person is also updating. There's a sense in which that's true. Also the christmas north at things then has to argue that the machine is not the either right and so if the machine has fully replaced the person yeah believe place a person so so what are the implications of the essay. Push incest yes. So it's one of the central questions of philosophy how we fit our lived experience it into the world as revealed to aspire science inexperience. And there's something about being the business of replacing persons by machines that can make us all wonder. Can i really be replaced by a machine. It's one thing to know that everything that you do is the results of lots of smaller and easier to understand processes that can be built up another thing to look at the machine that's replaced you and feel as important as it used to feel before that machine came along replacing right so The i've got into this topic. Not because my philosophical research was originally about the relationship between person things but rather because my wife. And i were living in santa barbara which is about one hundred miles away from the risk of southern california where i teach and she was doing her surgical residency working about eighty one hundred hours every week and we started expecting our first child and we sat out in the evening. We yourselves how. How are we going to raise a child whose mother is working a hundred hours a week. And whose father is communion hundred miles each way to and from work and my mother-in-law came through and she moved in with us for a year to take care of her daughter caroline and so i spent a year living with her with my in laws. And so ever. Since then i've been thinking a little bit about interpersonal conflict because of that experience and so what happen is i read a very important philosophy paper by the philosopher ray langton and it really helped me understand something about the relationship between myself and my mother-in-law having a really hard time understanding while we were in that experience you And i and that has to do with how we understand each other and why it is that we can sometimes feel bad about the way that other people are treating us And there's a particular way of feeling bad about the way the somebody else treats you where you feel like. You're not being taken seriously. You feel like you're being written off or ignored or like you don't matter so that other person we think you ought to matter to the as their friend or your spouse your parent to your child or your colleague or something that you have a relationship with and that's really the that feeling of being let down or dismissed is the feeling that i was trying to understand in this paper and the thing about it now. A couple of years after writing that paper is that there are a lot of things that we want understand about. The relationships that we have with other people but interpersonal relationships are by definition relationships between persons between people
JRPG Report Episode 144 - The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Black First Details - burst 02
"Hello friends welcome back to the show. This is the g. rpg. Report episode one hundred and forty five little bit weird this week and we knew it was going to be with christmas eve falling on our normal release date and of course christmas the next day and there must situation My little girl's birthday being the day after christmas so yeah we get a bang bang. Bang three a craziness there. Obviously just mitt that there was really no time to reporter Record a podcast. Even before christmas was just too hectic so We're recording this on saturday. The twenty seventh just a couple days left in twenty twenty. Goodbye rents But we've got a lot of cool things to talk about today. I kinda wanna wrap up all the stuff that we've missed as it's been nine days since our last pockets. No i'm sorry that's not even right. That is fuzzy. Math is been eleven days since our last podcast. So we've got a few things to go over That have popped off. Since then. And i wanna kinda look look forward to sometime this week. Mean jordan are going to get together and kind of talk about What games we really loud from. Twenty twenty maybe even discussed some Game of the year options and then look forward to twenty twenty one as Right off the bat. We got a bunch of games coming out in the beginning of the first the new year. We got to tell you rods two. You've got bravely default to you've got he's nine And the newly Confirmed for some of five strikers. Just a name The the big big ones I'm sure there'll be others. That will be unfortunately lost in the in the way. So we're going to record that sometime this week and In lieu of any news breaking. I may just make that part of the normal podcast unsure on that. But let's get into it. I hope you guys had a wonderful christmas holiday I didn't have any games that i particularly wanted that. We're already out. So i just kind of asked Asked the parents for Email confirmation that beginning Today risa to when it comes out on january twenty six that was cool and i did end up much too. Many of your delight. Hopefully i'm finally going to take a dive into these series. I picked up. Yee's eight for only twenty dollars on the ps story. I could not refuse as the physical version just refuses to ever go down in price so i figured this was by far the best opportunity. Get in on. What many consider to be a very very good. Jr pg and at some point. I'll be playing. It don't really know when that's going to be but that's enough rambling We did have fell. Calm day Twenty twenty winter addition and we got a few tidbits of information about the new legend of heroes. Toddle kiro no koseki if you notice the thumbnail for this Podcast are the two newest main characters is a third as well but these They dig use some high-rise resolution images of the to unsure why the third one was kind of like ashaari pow We'll get you later but still no names for these two characters but we do have a bit of information stuff. You see that image. There's a couple other on our facebook and twitter feed of those two characters while they are. I say have that trails feel to them. I do kind of agree with what president condo said last time that at mediate Glance they don't appear to be trails characters. And i believe that lies in the fact that they are from calvert So they're going to look a little bit different and we'll talk about that in just a little bit. These illustrations were drawn by katsumi. Nama and the other characters are from alcom. Like i said the character's names were not announced to this game is coming out sometime in twenty twenty one in japan so those were the images. There were some other ones as well. If you'd like to see all those. I did put up a slide show video on our youtube channel. So you can check those out if you don't feel like clicking through pictures of via the website here is what we do know and i will just read this to you as this is the about for the new age of heroes karoo new koseki beyond the blue sky ahead of flashing light a land. A dawning resides cuba. There's no spoilers going on in here. This is all preliminary stuff in the news story arc. So we don't have to worry about that type of stuff the ladder this latter half of the trails. There is about to begin. The setting moved to the calvert republic in two thousand and twenty one foul calm release. Legend heroes kernigan the latest entering the trail serious as its fortieth anniversary rumors of work. The calvert nation is a multi ethnic nation experiencing unprecedented economic growth. Brought about by post war reparations. In a corner of the capital of a huge nation were immigration issues bringing about political instability. Okay well maybe. There are some spoilers in here okay. let's just get to the best. I'm sorry i read that. And i didn't think about it until just now okay. The command style action time bow system. You didn't previous trails. Titles has been revamped and that's going to set up an from a couple people. Let's just see what they said. Seamlessly transitioned from action oriented field battles to turn based commands battle to turn based command battle systems while making use of the unique elements the sixth generation combat or meant would try to pronounce his last time. I'm not sure how it is x. I f. r. x. i. p. h. a. z. Feel in a ballots to evolve from the previous trails titles. Okay so what does that mean. I don't. I don't know i really don't know how to had say seamlessly transition from action oriented field battles to turn based command battle systems I i mean obviously there's a bit of an extra element when you strike the enemies on the field in order to go into the turn based battle i. I need to see this in action to really know what they're even beginning to talk about would just have to wait and see You will feature many elements you laws. It's setting including a topics system which enabled together until such topics by communicating with. Mpc's out towns tra- gate situations in your favor when you act as a spray gun and that is the The character it's basically a detective. But they're calling them spring and alignment flame system. In which characters three alignments great and chaotic fluctuate depending on your own style influencing various status allies and adversaries and even scenario developments please look forward to allege heroes lowest entrance toasters depicted enrich expression by thumbs new original ingen. So that's that's pretty cool Here's what how they set up the situation and I get. I don't wanna get too much into this. The to emit the two people that you see in the image the one is the one call the speaker those are they say sometimes detective somedays negotiators and other days as bounty hunters. They're up for any job from any client. That's pretty cool And then the other one is Say to be a school girl wearing uniform. Prestigious school visits a rundown building located in old town in cowards capital. So that's the setting that's beginning of it. You can check out those images. Like i said there's a third character in the images as well with the two swords on his back and some long hair but we don't have any details. There is a battle scene that shows what looks like to be a craft or an art powering up but that from that snippet it does look to be turn based. So don't i'm so confused as to what to make. But i'm certainly excited about this one. But the lack of details and the promise of something new is leading to some question marks popping up. And i don't necessarily love that idea but it is what it is and until we learn a little bit more. It's just going to be speculation Unfortunately though that wasn't the only bit of information. And i'm sure we'll have a bunch more but Foul calm day twenty twenty winter. Also let us know about and this is not really affecting us as much. But they did. Say that a hatch marco koseki which is the one before this one and after cold steel four Clouded leopard entertainment will release a switch. Pc esteemed version of the game Sometime in summer. Twenty twenty one in japan in asia. I'm nearly positive. That's the same company that handled The transition for coastal three and four to the top of my head. So i came out for. Ps four in japan on august twenty seventh. So you know nearly a year later. They're talking summer to get that Switch pc version now. It handles the asian side of this and i s america handles the translation available. At least they have for the past two games In the cold still series in the west still no confirmation that that translation is ongoing. That have to assume that it is unless it's being handled by other parties I mean exceed did do the first two trills of cold steel games but at imagine that they are going to do this hedge amari as well and as soon as i hear something about that it will happen. It's certainly a good thing that this is happening and It could lead to a speedier at least for these games in the west. But like i said still no information on unfortunately. The last thing that they talked about was not briefly. Mentioned this last time the natto. noca- seki game. That is coming out in japan for For playstation four. This was the old Two thousand twelve least. Psp action rpg though some new details and images kinda showing the ps p version versus the Ps four version of it They're sent opposites gonna run at sixty frames per second on. Ps four with more vibrant graphics. Not being obviously these are things that you'd want to have updated from an old old system user interface options One thing that i thought was very interesting. And i'm not to say what they say. This game is not connected to the trails game. However the main character's name is now utah herschel now you trails players especially cold. Steel will know towa. Her last name is hershal So what they're they say there's no connection but then there's a connection is the protagonist and a boy from that island who attends and academy in saint elise. Those aren't you know aren't names that i recognized the from the trails series so it is very very interesting and i would be would like to know what that connection is at kind of read through it. You can read through the tales. Like i said before i am lower on the percentage scale To say of this game was actually going to make it over here or not. I if i if you say your day is gonna come today out outs. Action say no but would just have to wait and see. The original game did not look super impressive. So this isn't a game that i'm all that excited about to begin with but we'll have to. We'll just have to wait and see if that indeed happens for a lot of switch owners the next. Gop g they will more than likely be picking up is going to be bravely default to gain closer and closer to that february twenty. Sixth rolled wide release date friend square annex released new trailer for it albeit in japanese and have still not seen an english version of this yet so it talks all well. Supposedly it talks about wiz walt. The country established by those mejia's. They did it themselves to studies. The magic research institute But the the real kicker with this one and you can see it. Is this places overgrown. It looks like it was built kind of in the middle of it are on top of a giant tree. And there's just this tree just going right up through entire town is really cool again Trailer is how long was trailer of about three and a half minutes. Like i said in japanese so you can't really tell what's going on but it is kind of cool to see some of the visuals in action Four it but if you're elected shake those game out for yourself you can check out the demo for it It is now live on the east shop and One who feels the demo before its release will even pick up one hundred mine. I know she also got the Spyro trilogy which. I really enjoyed those games growing up. So i can't wait to play those with her and relive those moments and she picked up mario maker to so. How much is really needed to make this work. To almost say reboot but definitely the new version of there is the opening movie for it and you should probably check this out. If we're looking at over fifty minutes of new footage as well mostly the character creation for its but this opening movie You know typically when you see these opening movies. Engine which looks amazing Definitely if you're looking forward to this you should check it out sometime in twenty twenty. One is the release date Four it but again. This is one of those. Well not one of those but this is the faa gain. That i'm kind of just don't understand why it's not on playstation four. In the west it is in japan. But you've got to either play on xbox or on pc here in the west doesn't make a ton of sense but there's just things like that in this world that we gotta kinda get used to them. I guess we got three bits of sky news this week. i is. You can check out the fourth official trailer for six defiance of destiny I believe there's an english. There's an english version for this out. Now you can check it out. There was originally came out. There was just a japanese version but the english version shows off of really cool voices that they've got for the game. They got some good voice. Talent in this one in Very fitting for the series especially the little reincarnated pug services is awesome It's about seven or review of the game If you are curious about what's going on in this one changes that they've made this series. You will definitely want to check it out. Of course it doesn't come out in the west until summer. Twenty twenty one. Japan is going to get it in right about a month on january. The twenty eighth The other day actually. This was on christmas eve that this news broke New punchy released some new information screenshots for the game featuring and i hope i get these names right la haro aetna and flown Those were the original characters from the original the sky and they are saying that Basically once you beat the game you can Play a scenario with these original characters in it so kind of a you know. They're not in the main game this something post post content but the fact that they're in their would open the door to other characters popping up from other games as well. So that's a cool thing The world inside of an item. I m worlds have mended. Detailed in this article on worlds are divided into several fours slash layers and the items level increases with every four. That you clear says weapons become stronger as they level up. You can clear there either. Worlds to power them up once. An item is leveled up. You can get the same item at the same level from then on pretty cool feature of the sky series all these images i took input into a slide show. You can check that out on our youtube channel so you can dispatch companions into item worlds to research them. There's a new team attack system with up to ten characters in it. That's a pretty cool feature. New enemies were detailed There's a new horsemen. That's pretty crazy. So here's the Previous protagonist Oh here we go says not only will hear from. Our doctors appear the protagonist in heroines of the sky. Two three four and five will also appear in three d. The protagonist and heroines wilburs as downloadable content sometime after the launch of disguise six. So there's a from the sky to or i don't know in timika these pronunciations. I'm at risk of offending people. I understand how they're supposed to be pronounced So yeah they're gonna add them in there as as post content deal see. That's the type of thing. Like i would think you'd be okay with paying for because that's obviously not a part of disguise six. They are previous games characters in new content. So take how you feel about. Dlc that is that's one thing i think is is no k To do speaking of all those previous disguised characters they are all assembled in the rpg. Mobile game And we got news from bolt chain games that they will release worldwide the mobile version the sky arc in spring. Twenty twenty one Unless you're in these countries in the no fast if you are but we are a western primarily focused podcasts. So you're not going to get in china taiwan hong kong macau singapore malaysia or korea Sorry don't i don't know why maybe that is. Just it's gonna come out later. Maybe there's some rules preventing that From happening if we're interested in getting it on a closed beta for the game. They will have one for canada. Brazil australia and the philippines sometime in january so really happy to see this thing go worldwide. There was a global announced trailer for it This came back It came back in march of twenty nineteen in japan. Had a whole bunch of issues with it and It was de definitely the this game was deadly responsible for some financial hardships for nippon ichi. And they finally got up. Right obviously gotta writes the point. Now they're really to bring this thing out worldwide As far as the gotcha game or not. I don't know if i recall. I think it was paid game. But i should probably ended up before speaking about it. But i'm sure there's elements in there but hopefully this is a Not another one of those kind of like. We've we've like. We've got enough of those already know ankara today. So in place of it you get one last plea for listener support We've had a few people signed up for but really not a whole lot of response so I kind of said you guys. I would do this to the year. See what we got and move forward I would love to have listener support. Not have the need for ads but it is just a reality of life and we may just see what that happens. If i get a bunch outpouring of support here after listening to this. I may reconsider. But at this point at least in the a few few adds to offset the cost of Of the time spent during the podcast hope to understand and hope you are okay with that excited much. Rather have just you guys Do that and not have to worry about. It would wait and see so you. Click on the link right below this episode. Either through anchor. John daly greatly. Appreciate it. Pandemic HR Questions with Guest Expert Amy Hunter
"We are putting together some special episodes. Were you given me? It's crazy times. We're all living in with a pandemic and We have gotten a lot of questions from you from a lot of backgrounds and a lot of different sized organizations. So we're doing our best Andy doing our best to to really get together A mix of your questions and things that we think can benefit all sized organization so as always feel free to let us know. If there's something else we should we should cover or you have another question. We haven't answered. We will do our best to find you an answer. And with that We have several. Hr questions that came in and we have some that. Were incredibly technical. Very very much more from a legal standpoint and so we're going to be bringing in an expert from that angle today. We've got some questions that sort of probably border on both technical and Just sort of the human element sort of the soft side of things In how you just handled sensitive situations with your employees and so we thought no better than to have our very own amy hunter. Who's come before joining us again? So welcome amy. Thank you Stacey Handy for having me I really appreciate it. So I'M GONNA have amy for those who hadn't caught a past episode that amy joins US Four. Have Amy Gez. Start US off with a little bit of your background and and she can probably share a lot more about her herself than I can other than I know. She knows her stuff so were so lucky to have her finding time Making time for this really during during a lot of questions. She's getting as well from from clients and colleagues. So Amy. Can you give us a little bit of background? Our listeners. A little bit of background on you. Sure happy to do so I am a hunter have been in Las Vegas. My husband and I moved here about thirteen years ago. Now and have been I have been in the HR coaching training strategy world for nearly two decades. Now so Something that I'm really passionate about. And it's always evolving and changing and particularly in such uncertainty unprecedented times that we have similar to what we have today going on today. So I'm happy to be here and help answer as many questions can that your listeners have great thank you so much so I'm GONNA jump and this first First question we have is really more like three or four questions in one so I'm going to read the entire Sort of You know stagnant we got and then have break it down one by one and then we can kind of just walk. Go at so this. This listener Rodin instead given the pandemic are we permitted to have different work situations and hours for staff. For example we have some staff whose roles necessitate that they work full-time or overtime right now. Own and we have others. Who probably don't need to have many hours at all. How do I communicate with staff at their hours? May Vary based on need and their role within the organization as well as within our budget. And how do I do this in a way that nobody feels less important? Wow that's a lot of impact is in at any. Gosh it sure is it sure is. I think if I could stay. Take it one step at a time. Like you had mentioned the easy part of the question. The more standard this versus that part of the question is yes. You can absolutely make schedule. Changes based on operational demands by position. Now one of the things that isn't specifically outlined is whether or not those team members would be hourly or salaried so you definitely have to make some varying adjustments and use some specific language around the team member's status if they are salaried hourly as it was much easier to just to make an adjustment to their schedule and move them. Let's say from part-time to full-time so we know hourly as sort of just an adjustment whether it's to increase or decrease hours as far as salary I can you elaborate a little bit more things that people need to be thinking about related to that. I'm GONNA come from a Layman's point of view. As far as I'm I've always thought salaried employees. They work to get the job done so that means they get paid whether they work twenty hours a week or one hundred hours a week as long as the job is done. Is that accurate? That is one hundred percent accurate. Which is why you would want to use. Language like furloughing employees. Because what a furlough proper furlough allows you to do is make an adjustment even two salaried employees schedules We have some clients that are moving salaried employees to hourly so that they can continue to give them modified work schedules with some type of compensation during this period of time. So then the the second part right how how do I communicate this with staff You know based on the fact that they're they're made within the need right now their role within the organization but budget all of those things are sort of influencing these decisions so I always on. I'm a people person you know. So sometimes I put on that warm fuzzy hat that not everyone owns so I would say show up with even more empathy and carrying candor than you have ever given your team before it's really important to set the stage. Remind them that we're all in this together That we're all working through information coming at us from this unprecedented situation that crisis management situation that most organizations have never dealt with before. So if so. I would suggest as part of the tactical logistical part. If possible and if time allows to be able to have those conversations individually so unless it's let's say for example Small Call Center. Maybe have an opportunity to bring the whole team together and say. Here's the here's what's going on. Here's the impact of changes on your work schedule. Now I'd like to talk to each of you individually around how this might impact you and have some more personal conversation one on one being cognizant of when you bring a small group together like that during a space where people are very fearful and scared you may get some group. Think I like to call it. That group think mentality and so doing one on one conversations. Just from the get go may be able to mitigate some of that stress in fear that team members. Get when you have to have or when you take the approach of a group conversation. I love that I let that such sage advice and I. I realized that that some people are listening. It feels a lot easier to just do this. In large fell swoop. One Maths Communication And that always that that may be quicker but maybe not ideal right for for every single person in a an approach that usually people talk about associated with wall. I want everyone to be having the same conversation. I want them to hear the same message. And so that's why it's really important. One of my very first recommendations is practice practice practice the conversation in that way. You've got a rhythm down and so when you are doing those individual conversations you've got a script for yourself that you're following and then you know that the conversations are consistent another thing. That oftentimes comes up when I recommend those individual conversations of pushback is that you know it but what if someone comes up with a really good question that I didn't think ahead of time a My what sort I'm looking here for my comeback sounds like a very strong Perspective but my pushback to that would be that They yes that may be the case. And this isn't the end all be all you still can have opportunity conversation with these individuals that may be having reduced work schedule. You MAY BE LAYING OFF. You may be putting into Furlough Position. furlough status so it just continuously be thinking about this as more than potentially more than one conversation
Find More Hours in Your Day with Bob Mulhern
"Hey what's going on I'm Stephen Miller and and this is a point if I was GonNa put you on the spot and ask you about how you manage your time. What would you say? It's not a trick question when it comes to determining how you spend your time you're part of a bell curve with the rest of society so take a second to imagine it. The left side of the bell curve is send slowly and includes about thirty percent of the people you know. These are the people who can't help feeling like there just aren't enough hours in a day because well they or serial procrastinators while at the opposite end of the curve. You've gotta quickly declining finding slope. Were just about every high. Performer is found. These people set apart for each of their priorities and are highly productive but they only make up about fifteen eighteen percent of the curve. The remaining forty five percent of people are smack DAB in the middle. They're always trying to find a groove. So they can power through the distractions but oftentimes. They're inefficient with their time. So the honest with yourself. Which group are you in and more importantly are you willing to do what it takes to move further further to the right of the bell curve and become more effective in the UCLA time? If your answer's yes you're in for a great show today because in a second of or three episode arc on setting yourself up to achieve your goals I'm highlighting some of the best productivity tools and time management strategies that can give you a real edge. Make sure you follow this show wherever you listen to your favorite podcasts to be we notified when the third installment drops next week but to set you on the right path. Today I'm joined by another one at Phoenix business. Journal's most admired leaders the managing director of Colliers International for Greater Phoenix Bob Mulhearn day-to-day Bob Overseas brokers team of over one hundred. But as he'll tell you managing that multi-million dollar business business isn't his sole focus in life quite to the contrary by making effective use of his time and using the skills he's picked up over his career he's been able to maintain the type of healthy work life balance L.. Instant many people dream of but few ever get to enjoy together. Bob And I are going to share some of our favorite productivity boosters but remember we can't make you use them. We can spark the fire but you have to keep it lit. So let's get after it here to share how you can make better use of your time and find more hours in your day. This is Bob Mulhearn time right now in. The world is such a scarce resource and so many people's minds. And what I really hope to do is actually we save you a one hundred hours by just providing some very practical tips to help you be more efficient and then of course give you some thoughts on how to use that time. I'm so that once you have it you use it in a way that believe leads to your success and happiness. I like to tell people a little bit about what I call Bob's deeply satisfying life. I have a wife of thirty one years nine wonderful kids for grandkids. I ran a big operation. Thirty million dollars plus commercial real estate business I one of the founders honors a great hearts academies and. I'm the president of the board. So it's great for me is that I'm usually by four thirty. Because they're going to get the kids up at six and I get an hour and a half of my own time and in that window of time I reflect on who I And I get my exercise in and so then the kids get up now. Family take time right is when it come into work. I have a different energy about me. Really what fires me up. Every morning is to take advantage of that time and to enter my day that way. I've made time an abundant resource in my life. But I've also been at this a long time so if you're just getting if you're a high schooler you have a whole different set of have responsibilities. I know because I have high schoolers. If you're just starting your career again you have different opportunities or even less freedom. Run your schedule that I do as somebody who's been my career for a long time. So what am I going to urge you to do is take one step at a time and hopefully today by the time Dan that'll be a couple of steps for you to take and one of them is if you're not always he's plugged in so to speak to. You're gonNA miss out on things and if you're not played in all the time you're gonNA miss but you're gonNA find over time that really. There's nothing really significant that you tend to miss out on and I think that another trap is that people don't find a way to stop their work in begin their lifetime. A lot of people like to say that does have to blend together and think crazy if you try to separate them I say that separating them as the only way to go and then I think there's another trap which feeling obligated to answer all these requests that come our way. There's so much data coming at us that people take the data turn into what they call information. People try to gather information together and call it knowledge. And I'm saying that all all that we fiercely compete to give away for free but what I'm talking about now kind of goes beyond all those and what I'll call the timeless wisdom on how life can be happy the and balanced no matter what the circumstance. So maybe we'll say my phone is killing me especially emails and I'm just going to say that I used used tool called sane box dot com S. A. N. E. B. O. X. dot com. It cost nine ninety nine a year and it can be used these two with whatever you're using it works with outlook it works with g mail. It works for the office three sixty five and what it does is allows issued to tell your emails where they should go some of them go straight to the trash. That's called the black hole and just to give you a sense. Every week I get about fifteen hundred emails and over seven hundred and fifty of each month are automatically deleted. They go right to the black hole so sandbox sends me an analysis of every week in thinks mm saving eight to nine hours a week. Let's say it was only five hours a week. I remember the first time it said one hour couldn't believe it. I'm thinking well that's fifty hours a year five hours again times fifty weeks and that's two hundred and fifty hours another easy tool that easily saves me an hour. A week is Calvin Lee. Dot Com C. A. L. E. The N. D. L. Y.. Dot Com in. It's a great thing somebody calls me says I'd like to get together. I invariably send them back. Link that says used as linked to find a time on Mike Calendar and you can set parameters on that so in other words I could send somebody a link that they couldn't make something on Mondays Fridays or nothing before ten or nothing after four. Four I can send a twenty minute link a thirty minute an hour a lunch and I will tell you that easily saves me an hour a week. So there's another fifty hours just by using the simple tool I also use upward dot com or tasks crab at her fancy hands dot com or grew dot com. The price is low. The turnaround around is fast and the results are reliable. So I'd encourage if you haven't used one of those to take a look at it. I remember one time saying I need someone to come to. My Office is to teach me a particular program and found out that the resource for that was literally across the lobby from me which I had no idea about and I found out by going online. So you never know what the solution is gonNA come from. But it's easy to post it and against save as much time as you want. And there's a lot of just time-saving mindsets one one of the most important mindsets is to actually pass on things. That are very good. I mean I was invited for example yesterday to a really good reception that was down but it was sandwiched between two things. Were very important to me was recreated and one was a family birthday dinner that same night and so you just have to say Gosh I. I don't care how good that was. I'm not gonNA just rush down there be apart and rush back and just those simple decisions have cleared me up to do what's most important and so the things I do work on. I think people say all the time. Gosh for guy. That's busy as you are. You're sure an easy guy to get an appointment with or busy as you are. You sure sure don't seem worn out when we're talking and you seem focused on me not distracted. I think all that comes from me just refusing to take on good things. That just just aren't as good as the most important things. But if you're tired you know you're not doing it because there is time to do things that are really good and time consuming consuming and still be able to have plenty of time for family time for reading time for reflection another one. I like. Don't lose by your own rules. So many people Samina train for whatever whatever this is and be ready by this date and usually the timeframe is not realistic and so they ended up losing because of a rule they said and they're afraid to change the rule I will constantly I say to myself. Hey that's something I decided I can change that in. It's simple mindset but it does save lots of time I just would look for progress not perfection. I've I've gotten to where I am one step at time and I'm older than probably most people listening to this but I will tell you day after day week after week. I've been serious about these things and and it's all based on a number of small steps I've taken and habits I picked up overtime. You need to start with something that you want to do. That would encourage you to take take one of the tools or one of the ideas and get that down master. Look at the list. Don't say I'd have to do this without say I would love to do that. Get down and then add the the second thing I think if you add two or three away three weeks from now you won't be doing any of them if you just add one and focus on it and it'll start you off in a path that will go on and on to great things.
Mindsets for Decluttering in the New Year
"Are great things but sometimes there's problems problems with them. So let me just be clear words. Schmertz you guys I mean I. Maybe it's because I've been talking to a microphone for And a whole lot of ours now like well over one hundred hours of me blathering about decluttering and cleaning an organizing and all that kind of stuff the things because I talk about it often. Different words help me at different times of my life like sometimes it's really important for me to think about and tell myself that the thing I need to be doing is straightening straightening is what I should be doing right now. Now sometimes it's okay. Surface cleaning is what I need to call it. Whatever thing that I call it or you know cleaning up or picking up up or all these different things they all have their own nuances and because I am a nuanced person and so were you working to whatever you currently gently have going on in your life? Whatever you currently have been fixating on in your your home? Whatever it is we all are nuanced and so those just things different ways to think about things as long as it spurs me on to make actual progress? That's great okay. So you know I I hear people often say and I've said it I have totally said it Resolutions don't work because you know what sometimes they do. Why do you think people so have been saying resolutions forever? And why do you think there are people out there. He go guys. I made a resolution three years ago and this is the result in I mean it really. There's nothing wrong with using any of those words as long as it's actually helpful for you so I just Kinda WanNa talk about the word gold. So there's goal not gold What's the good goals? Well it is great to set goals to decide. Where am I gonNA put my focus? Because because I got to figure out where I'm going to put my focus or I'm not going to be focused on not going to get anything done okay. So identifying problem areas that you you want to change in your home or in your life Identifying and setting out what it is that you want to accomplish like where do I want. What my home to eventually be? Do I want it to be ready for a photo. Shoot for a magazine at any point. Great Good for you. I will never be there. I've given up on that Or do I want to be able to entertain on a regular basis. Do I want to be able for my kids. needs to have their friends. Come over you know like so. Identifying goals is a great thing. The problem with goals is that sometimes there are things that are never her finish and yet because we've identified it with the word goal it feels like it should be over you know like gas soccer goal. You make the soccer goal and that goal is on the scoreboard. And it's done and that's over and we're moving it onto the next goal trying to rack up the score there. Listen to me talking about sports anyway. but goals in your home mm can tend to be frustrating. Because if you're thinking of it as I am going to get my home to the point where my kids can invite a friend home from mm school without me freaking out and I work on it and I get to that point. There is continual work that has to be done. Okay I mean if you've listened. Listen to how to manage your home without losing your mind if you've read it or if you've listened to pretty much any podcast ever you know that doing the dishes every single day is the most irritating and yet most impactful thing for keeping my house under control and it never stops so the fact that my kid can have somebody come over one day does not mean that it's over with but when I start to go with I'm going to have a mindset change about about what goals are. I went to get my house to the point which is achievable. I'M GONNA get to my house. My House to the point both through decluttering and also through really elite truly consistently pudding daily habits into place. If I'm going to do that then it's going to be achievable with minimal. Notice for me to let this friend come in the house. Okay and let me just say I let my kids friends. Come over when it's not perfect. It's never perfect but even when it's not at all perfect and that is different than it used to be so that is the mindset. Change that I've had but partly it comes from the reality that The House is so much better than it used to be. It's not covered covered in clutter. K- you know a five minute. Pickup does make a huge impact. And I can get it to where it's not just gross in disgusting Pretty quickly and easily in it generally congress and disgusting but you know what I mean. You know I'm ready for somebody to be able to come over but I've also oh changed my mentality that nobody's houses perfect. I'm sure there are people who actually are but most people's houses are not perfect. Mine is not perfect and I know now because I've got a whole lot. The people following me online that there's a lot of people whose houses aren't perfect. Okay and so their party ready is not what I should be aiming for to have. Fourteen year old. Come over to my house Xinjian. But here's the other thing. There is just a mental change. That happens when I know for a fact that I'm really just a little behind as opposed to the feeling wing of complete failure back when I truly did not know what to do because my house was a constant and total disaster and because I used to clean for a party loved the way my house looked and then within three days it was back to worse than it was before I started cleaning for the Party and I didn't know what what had happened in those three days okay. I didn't know how it went from party. Ready to total disaster. Now I know now I feel confident that the the things that I do on a regular basis are exactly what I need to be doing and they are the things that keep a house my house running smoothly and because of that when I do get behind. I'm like you know what it's been a busy weekend behind. Sure have your friend come over as as opposed to we can never have people come over. I'm so sorry but it just can't happen. I'm sorry I don't know why thousands this way I'm failures of other like you know. That's there's a difference there. There is a mental shift of what people get behind. It really has been busy as opposed to me the way I used to be going. I've been so busy but it actually looks like this all the

"Dennis from Cornell is our Dennis are Dennis. Why don't you just call us? Understand what you're doing here. We know you, we know you down, as you used to work for me. Dennis we work together. You know, but you'd rather just get just right. Into this five minutes Fayez you can't wait to hear his name on cast or the radio. Okay. Tennis from Coronado, California, right to join Al Douri pie was exactly to the point of my question. So he asked another question about the deduction. Yes. It did, however generate a follow up question in my mind. I just wondered, what Allen would say about aggregating individually owned rental properties with an LLC partnership interest basing passing. I'm sorry through rental real estate income into a single rental business for purpose of meeting the two hundred fifty hours requirement, then is what the hell even advice to one of your clients. Get more specific. I have a client named Steve and he's got a bunch of real estate, and I was thinking about give them this advice. So I thought it ask how, but instead of calling no ongoing. Dennis can give the reply. The audio reply to the client, I knowing what the hell that question even meant I know what it means. Hopefully, so let me let me give a little more background and actually rephrase the question. Thank you, even I didn't understand it. And I'd already read it. What you said. So the, the question is relating to QB qualified business income deduction, which is new for two thousand eighteen and and forward with this new tax lab. Basically means that if you have a small business, you can take up to twenty percent of your profits, and, and, and have them be non-taxable. So one hundred thousand dollars business profits. Twenty percent of that's twenty thousand dollars. You know, pay tax on twenty thousand dollars you only pay tax on eighty thousand dollars. That's, that's the concept. Now, the IRS came out and said, you know what? Maybe you can use your real estate, but it was really vague when it first came out, and the question was well, the way it was written it has to be a small business is real estate. A small is rental real estate of small business or not. And there's always been that confusion show. My entire career is real estate, and it makes a difference when you sell the real estate in the tax consequences. Most accountants say, yes, it is. But not all anyway. So with this new tax law. Lead still is unclear Intel Intel earlier this year. The IRS came out with a safe harbor that said, yes. Real estate is a business. If you, if you fall under this two hundred fifty hour rule, meaning that you and your subcontractors, like property manager, your maintenance, people your Gardner. They spend at least two hundred fifty hours on the property per year. If you follow that, and if you keep records on each property and, and document the time, then okay, then then it's going to qualify for business and you get the twenty percent and then it came up with. Well, I've got I've got three single family homes. Let's just say and when I look at all three, it's doubtful that two hundred fifty hours is spent on any of those three. But can we aggregate those together? Right. Can we say they're just they're just like one property because I spent one hundred hours on one hundred days you're not spending fifty on each of the three properties. Right. But maybe an aggregate, you could add all the time on the three properties and maybe come up with two hundred fifty hours. Yeah, exactly. And the IRS said, yes, you can do that, as long as a couple of things. One is they're, they're similar type properties. So you can't you can't aggregate, a commercial property with residential rental. So those are separate, right. And the second thing is they have to basically be in the same. Entity. Right. So in your partnership in your S corporation in your LLC or held personally but it's a little more complicated than that. Because if you own property in an LLC, and you're the only owner that's a single member LLC. It's called a disregarded entity and for tax purposes, it's as if you didn't have an LLC in the IRS recognizes that for agregation roles. So, in other words, you got three properties each in different LLC's. You're the sole owner it's a disregarded entity. You can aggregate all of those because it's disregarded, it shows up on your tax return and you can do that. So that that's the answer to the question. If on the other hand, you had, I don't know. But LLC's with other partners. Right. So it's not a soul single member LLC. Then each of those standalone, you can only aggregate properties within those LLC's three properties in one. We'll see. Yeah. That works that works fine too. But do you would probably recommend that anyway, wouldn't you? Let's see if I had three rentals was you does it make sense to have three separate LLC's for the three rentals? Or do you think I mean I know it's a risk mitigation to? Well, the, the, the idea is you put a property in an LLC, something goes wrong with property. There's a lawsuit that lost seats limited to the assets in that property now I'm not an attorney. And if there's gross negligence, maybe there's ways to Pierce all that I, I don't really the that's, that's a legal matter. But that's the idea is that you eat. He would set up an LLC for each property to for maximum protection. But then you got eighteen properties. Do you really want LLC's and eighteen filings with the state of California, you have to pay eight hundred dollars for each one, and so that's like separate tax returns through right? Yeah. But, but it's the disregarded entity if it's a single member. So there's no federal return. But there's a state return so you can pay your eight hundred dollars. It's, it's. Dumb. But that that's what it is. So you'd have eighteen different tax returns. So what you might do in that case is, you know, I'll take four or five and put them in this LLC. I'll take four or five put them in the cell, see what whatever combination you want. So at least if something goes wrong with one group, it doesn't necessarily affect the other group or another way to think of that as, if I have a high risk property like a fifty unit apartment and I got three fifty unit apartments, I might want to put those all separate because there's a lot of value there. I don't wanna risk for breakfast. I. Brain us. The green juice flags. They had my usual had oatmeal with free. Keeps you healthy buddy? Does what we got time for one more. Question here. I used to this guy he commented on something. On our one of our posts. L social media. All right. So what gray this was on Facebook? You can follow us on Facebook, too. She knows all about my my, my Grand Canyon hike. I'm sorry. I missed that. She knows she's seen the pictures. Oh, yeah. I gotta get on just to see that. Anyway. So we had an Irish strategies you need to know. That was the name of our blog posts. Okay. Posted on Facebook and then so great types in does some correspondents. Why do you tell people to max out the 4._0._1._K? I no longer understand that logic because of the way it is taxed when taking distributions, I am Maxine out the Roth in taxable savings in less to the 4._0._1._K, well, gray. The smarty pants on Facebook here ever listened to any of our shows a read anything else that we put out there. We would agree with some of your statement. Yes. But here's a lot of it depends depends on your circumstance. Right. So the average person should be contributing to 4._0._1._K to the Matt. I mean that's right off the bat. Let's, let's make sure that happens. Right. But over and above that, the average person can contribute to 4._0._1._K doesn't have a lot in a 4._0._1._K. They're going to be a lower tax bracket in retirement. They're in a higher tax bracket now. So it makes sense to get the tax deduction today than in the future. That's the average person. Now we take the top twenty percent of the people that are actually doing the right thing and saving a lot of money. And when they realized that, oh, man, I could be in a higher similar, or higher tax bracket in retirement than I would agree with you, then you might want to look at other strategies. Besides maxing out the 4._0._1._K, Roth IRA's are wonderful. Because you pay the tax today and grows, tax deferred, you get the money one hundred percent tax free, four one K works. Just the opposite where you get the tax deduction. Now, it grows tax deferred. You pay the taxes coming out. So I think our advice is to have a little bit of both have a little bit of all, or a lot of all four, one K brokerage accounts, watts have a more balanced approach, and I think you'll be just fine. So if you wanna comment on our social media, we.
How to Find Starlink Satellites
"You can find the Starling satellites anybody can find these Starling satellites and it's relatively easy. There's a website called kale sky. C. A L, S K, Y dot com. You have to go to this website. And here's the instructions of a Stewart really quick for you, because I think it's important that everybody gets to see these things before they raise up a little bit. They're going to they're going to move up a little bit. So you won't be able to see them. Without some sort of either telescope inoculate or something like that. So right now, you can see with the naked eye, and you can do this on a website called kale sky. C A, L, S K, Y dot com. I'll have this all in the show notes. So once you listen to this episode, you could go down below and check it out. So here we go. Go to kill sky dot com. And then you go to section setting your location. You can set your location, and I'm going to link that of course in the show notes. Then you click on satellites, then you click on sat library. And then select the duration at the top of the page for the amount of time you would like to see future fly bys, it's usually about a week, you can do it for a month or whatever you want, whatever you want. It's up to you. And then there's a box you have to fill in. For what kind of said like you want to search for so type in Starlink click on citing opportunities in Tijuana bookmark this page because this is something you want to go back to over and over again. So you can see these satellites, whenever you want to. And then he what to click on the following boxes. Show satellite passes and satellite must be illuminated. It's important if satellites be eliminated, because that's the only way that you can't see the satellites with your naked eye, of course. So go back up to the top of the page, click go. And then it'll refresh then this is the part. You'll see a list of the upcoming passes of the Starlight or startling constellation. If you scroll down. So is the format. It's a twenty four hour format. So something like to like, let's see twenty one hundred hours. It's nine o'clock. PM. So and you can switch it to the twelve hour format. So it's easier on you. But on the twenty four hour format seems to be working pretty well. And then you look down to there's like a little map with a compass. And you'll see where the satellites will enter your vision. Mine tonight. Enter in the south west region. In the shoots up to the northeast. So I'm going to be looking at ten o'clock tonight in the southwest region of the sky have a compass on my phone. I just look through the southwest. I know where it is anyway, but I wanna make sure so look at my compass. And then I looked for the startling satellites that is if it stops raining, because that will be annoying, and I won't be able to see the plane, but I have a whole week listed off on this website that I can check them out, and it's going to happen, like every, you know, every time that I wanna see them I could go back to this website because I bookmark that page. So it starts in the south west and then it ends in the northeast. So it'll come right overhead, and I could watch them as go across the night

I see lobule utilizing this most people who travel less than one hundred hours per year. It's more of like type scenario compared to a by scenario break it down real quick sorry to interrupt civil chartering so if I'm just just listening what does that it really mean. If I'm chartering an airplane so chartering aircraft is if you just you need a private aircraft for the weekend. Maybe maybe you're going to aspen. Maybe you're going to New York. Whatever you need to have a private aircraft take you there and back and you're essentially Ashley utilizing that aircraft for that time that you have it for you? YouTubeTV vs. DirecTV Now & Vue: cable TV alternative smackdown

Just go to wicks dot com. That's W I X dot com and create your professional website today. Everyone's Jefferson Graham here with USA day. I've been spinning a lot of time testing out the five cable TV chartered services. These streaming apps will give you a handful of channels forty fifty sixty instead of five hundred averaging around forty dollars a month instead of hundred dollars a month that you're paying to cable or satellite. They have a lot to offer in that. You don't need any equipment. You could plug them directly into your TV you can access them through Roku. Amazon streaming stick Google Chrome cast, apple TV. You don't have to pay a monthly rental for a cable box and the picture. Quality is great the ours are wonderful. And what's not to like? Well, let's see I found some my favorite is YouTube TV, which I believe has the best terms ups up to six accounts. I can access the programming for the forty dollars a month. You get fifty channels pretty much everything you want except for Nickelodeon MTV comedy, central discovery in animal planet as well as PBS, but the work around. Of course, is that all those networks have clips on regular YouTube in the interact. Well, together, the negative on YouTube TV is that it won't work in Amazon world because Amazon and Google each other. But the TV experiences better on YouTube than anywhere else. I've ever seen the menu. Has visuals the menu has visuals that makes it a lot more pleasant when you're sitting there searching for something to watch the DVR has unlimited storage and a terrific app as well. So if you're reading a review of some show, and you say, hey, that's that's pretty good you open the app, you click a button, and the next thing you've recorded the entire series a lot better than what I've gotten in cable. Migrate would be an a my. Second choice would be Hulu with live TV the Viacom channels are also missing with Hulu TV, but they do have the discovery channel's. The Hulu will work with everything apple Google, Amazon, Roku, you name it Hulas. They're the bad news is the cloud DVR will only record up to fifty hours. You could pay fifteen dollars extra for up to two hundred hours. The menu screens really nice. I think they did a really good job here. But to many of the DVR recorded shows or video on demand and don't offer the ability to go fast forward. So for that. They get a B plus next up Sony. Playstation VUE is the most expensive at forty five dollars a month the same. Viacom channels are missing while as PBS Sony will work with everything particularly well on the Amazon fire TV edition, which is the Amazon branded TV's works really nicely with their DVR. No limits, but you can only keep the pro. Grams up the twenty eight days, and you can't fast forward on FOX shows the con is that the program menu was kind of weird and the when you search you can only search by alphabet, you can actually type the whole name of a show in there. Which is pretty weird migrate would be be direct TV now, which is pretty good. I it is tied with PlayStation for a be forty dollars sixty five plus channels on only two accounts and all the missing channels are on direct TV. Now, she had more choices here. Direct TV. Now works with pretty much. Everything cloud DVR is only twenty hours stored from month, and you can pay ten dollars monthly for one hundred hours. Last place would be sling TV which is actually your best bargain. It's only twenty five dollars for up to three screens, but incredibly confusing. There's the blue offering and the orange offering you can maybe you'll find your favorite channels in. One of those offerings to giant once? They're missing would be CBS NABC. Now, if you're a fan of MSNBC, you'll have to pay five dollars extra CNBC five dollars extra T C M five dollars extra MTV and TV land five dollars extra and if you wanna DVR another five dollars. So once you add it all up, you could be paying more than you would pay with the other services devices at works on pretty much everything. So my pro is the pricing the best pricing Micon is the pricing. The most confusing of all the offerings and a a lot of add ons migrated would be a C which of these services. Everything's good to go because I've heard from developers who worked at rockstar, and I've heard from developers who work at other companies who say, yeah, that's not true. We do crunch in crunches brutal and hard and terrible, but it's also really complicated and I thought, you know, Greg had a really great discussion yesterday about it, talking about how it's such a unique cultural thing, depending on which country you live in and the type of industry that you work in in how crunches view differently is only now recently that we're trying not to glorify crunch because it used to be something that you wore as a badge of honor. You know, instill is you think about these people who play video games for thousands of hours and say, I remember when I was proud of the fact that I had played skyer him for like three hundred fifty hours. And these people like parachute in on my like, look at how much I played parade on the like they're like bitch, I played skyward for two thousand hours and I'm like, oh, that's cool. I mean, I have other stuff to do in life so, and it always turns into this competition. And when you put that competition in the workplace, talking about how many hours you can put on a project, it gets really dangerous like gilt. Right. Like if one teams crunching really hard, right, and they're staying late or even people on your team, if you're like, okay, guys, it's five. Oh, one later hunching out. Yeah, you'd like feel bad or be scared that maybe people would turn against you or something like that. Right. So it's really easy to see how like even some select teams doing it sort of perpetuate into all teams doing right or more people than are actually necessary just working hard to get it done. Absolutely. But then it also doesn't make sense because if you're working that long, the amount of strain than it puts on you, you're not working at your best. Right? So. It might be like a self-fulfilling prophecy of why you have to work so much right is because you're never operating at full capacity. Absolutely. And it's, it's obviously very different for each project and each companies in a different situation. But I think you know, universally, we can agree that working for one hundred hours in a single seven-day period is not healthy for anybody no matter what you're doing. But you know, sometimes the job needs to get done in if you need to crunch to get done. That's one thing. But I think the reason why people got up an arms is because the video games in particular has made this a culture crunches part of the culture of video games. And we are hearing from people about how to how do we fix this. How do we talk about changing the culture and saying, we want to move away from incentivizing people either financially or just with like in office praise about working long hours. And say, hey, you can do your best work, working fifty hours a week..

"We're still found who to make our clients because if you are taking a bite more than you can chew, that's never right approach to have to find like, whereas the niche warriors the gap, how can you help fill that gap for the clients? And that's that's kind of the key. So there could be a lot of differentiates between different predators ton of wallets out there. But the thing is you may create one that will appeal more to Bank as than any of them have done so far. Right. So, and that's your different shape. And you'll get, you know, diff- different customer base and you know, you'll get your still investors into it. So there's a lot of different ways of approaching this, and I think that's one of the things that you should think about as a, you know, when you building a startup in terms of hiring people and finding talented thing that's important too. I see a lot of startups getting a lot of insurance and the insurance you have to teach and you have to hand hold that takes a lot of your time. I say, find very capable equity partners that can do a lot instead of hiring a bunch of insurance that you don't pay a lot. And then you spend a lot of a lot of your time teaching which you're not going to have anyway, because you already working eighty to one hundred hours a week. That's probably going to be my two cents into this will be interesting to hear it from actual startups in blockchain, what they're doing, what they're doing, right, and what they're doing wrong, I would, I would too, but that doesn't mean that what you're doing is not entrepreneurial and inspirational. So if there was. Nobody listening to this right now. Maybe they're working. They're nine to five..

I have three shower brushes one just for my face particular one for open skin and one four feet and crevices opens. I also recently complicated the matter by further further by adding a secondary antibacterial soap to the most unfortunate of three buses brushes, try and kill any remaining odor, causing bacteria in the pits and feet, etc. I am a blacksmith and metal fabricator in a non climate controlled shop in middle Tennessee, where summers can definitely top one hundred Fahrenheit with alter high humidity.
