"She's very active. Shooter has been their church and they got involved in foster care what they thought was temporarily so four years later they had taken a may children but a in january. Why was there january. They legally adopted two boys two twins that had been there two years that have been so neglected. The back of their heads are flat because they've never been picked up. They have speech impediments. The parents had alcohol syndrome and so they couldn't use their hands. I mean the neglect was is pretty unbelievable but anyway she has a passion. So here's here's the thing. Let me talk about this. You know who she is. The most passionate direct with it's the church members. He believes that they can't possibly in good conscious. Call themselves christians. Or or doing god's work you know and and You know right for live. Go crazy on that. But oh gee how about the kids. We already haven't place. Where are you where you where you so. It's not that everybody can take some children in but there will be something you can do. So the piece that they do is they have a farm fourteen acres and they raised pasture-raised pork and the air of a company is called pastures of grace and his literally age. Mark has been herself in the four grown children. You know ages fifteen sixteen twelve and ten. They love the work and but they give back a ten percent of anything that comes in so people go online and they. They ordered the pork throughout the united states. And they don't get back fifty one percent like you do but Big in interest prophet figured out ten percent on its temperamental growth. Which is it's on the ground scout which you and i know it's different but they give that give that bad but one thing. Let me tell families stories. I have a younger brother. Gary hogan and he started international justice mission and it was. He was an attorney. Harvard grad university of chicago law school worked for justice department and i remember being in my parents living room in saying that he felt that there were churches and entities that were feeding people giving them homes but nobody was speaking up for the widow. Nobody was speaking up for the orphan. And so his first rescue the person that he s skewed and because went over to nairobi. Tina was stephen lang and I ventured put stephen a. Legs through college and helped his wife with different things. But it's a small world but the point of the story. Being my brother gary started. I put was just him and one other attorney that he knew and they got hit almost nothing and it sixteen years later and they have a waiting list of about fifty people. Excuse me for every job that they fill. Now they have about fifty people on that interview for that job so there are tourneys or they are past the i. Agents for their social workers people that are skilled and So i j. m. here in the united states has almost one hundred seventy five people but when they started there was very few honey getting paid. And that's your brother. That's my brother i've read. I've read all about the i g. I didn't know i did that. Yeah wow yeah. So he was He was at harvard resume that the cafeteria there was a sign that said christians were killing christians. Like how is that possible and then he went to south. Africa actually helped write. Something bishop tutu gave but there during the coups and so forth there were people young men they kill young men shot outside his home So it was very real to him that he had been raised with a privilege and he was a strong christian And.

"Ask you like one or two like these kind of random questions that are actually Twenty questions that came up in like talking to some of the top one hundred spiritual people right know. Let's take one cigarette easier ones What is wisdom. And how do we gain it. What is wisdom it. how do we get it. You know i think for me. Wisdom is It's the it's the tough times but it's not the tough tons. It's how you react to the tough times. Because i i you know it's like the old failure question. I ask my on my show as well but wisdom has been through some tough times as i look back and now in tough times happened i reflect back on how i react in that situation I learned so much from that situation. That i'm not gonna react. I one of the strongest things i do is when there's turmoil of when there's aggression in arguing and i am the calmest guy in the room i just sit there and i'm patient because i've learned that when you when you first reaction you have in a situation like that as usual. The wrong one is coming from a place of what we the first reactions. Not the best one. Yeah correct yeah for me of one. Hundred percent for me is not. And that's that takes time. That takes wisdom. Because i've i've been down that road where i've made these decisions where it's just a snap decision like man. I shouldn't have said that. I've i've learned how to sit back and relax. How'd you learn to cultivate that. It was really through breathing And that's been the biggest thing for me in in in you know when when you're in that situation you feel like time's going by a million miles an hour. I've learned to just kind of sit back. Take two or three deep breaths and it just allows your brain to reset in in. What's kind of wild which Which i love is is there any kind of is there any kind of certain breath that that is right like Illustrate that for somebody. That might be looking. Figure it out for me. It's easy it's just through the nose at me because there's so many other pathway through the nose that allows you your brain to to absorb the action a little bit different than it is your mouth and to your lungs. So it's very very slow. And then i i always pause 'em out through the mouth and it's a short breath of ball through the nose dislodged game composure and And what's been amazing about that too. Is that allows the other person that has been a super aggressive almost kind of pause and then you can almost see gears shirt chain with other people. It's it's it's beautiful to see. But i do with my kids. I do that with you. Know relatives up on getting argument with. I'm just. I'm not calm. Cool collected guy. Just i just don't get upset anymore. I don't you won't catch me raising my voice. You will catch yelling and anybody. Because i just sit back. Relax take that deep breath and ask questions. I love it. What what are you up to you man. what's next what's so you know Where where people kind of go and connect with jeremy todd. I'm really focusing on my youtube channel. "So. I'm so it's basically you've had some major if i was to use the word mass shootings. There have been a few major ones in this country. That have taken place. That i guess even i would label as a mass shooting incident. Where unfortunately you know fifty some people died and over one hundred seventy five people were wounded. And that's that's that would fit my definition as as a mass shooting I don't think there's any doubt with that. And it's all and it's all tragic. But i so basically mass shooting is is just a headline or it's not let me rephrase that ex- it's a. It's a simple. It's a simplest term boiled down for quick understanding versus shea. There was shooting with multiple people and yada yada versus mass shooting. Everybody knows what mass shooting means us. I think with with anything Trying to grab headlines may be whatever new service you name any of the alphabets that you name or whatever they want to be able to grab a headline why do they grab headlines. Because the more viewers the the more pay the more revenue. They're going to be able to make so they have to come up with something that grabs people's attention so it's a headline absolutely because if you just say straight neil shooting happen people all that happens every day. But now you go. It's shooting and all of a sudden. Now you've got. Oh what is the mass shooting going on and none of. It's good. don't get me wrong. I am not trying to tell anybodys in anybody's family that it's ever been with that that it's you know obviously it's a horrible thing but optics everything and in news Catching those headlines. I has always been the gold newspapers forever way before even radio came out. Newspapers all fought for the the best headline whatever headline you could read Look up yellow journalism. If you guys want to kind of intimidate how i agree. Oh that was james throwing his voice. That's amazing how high pitched voice. I mean he's like jeff dunham over there. Well aren't you proud of me. That's pretty good. Genes i did think your testicles dropped already. But.

And we'll continue with that here in just a moment. We're reading an interview from box dot com with you in the studio tonight. It's ian nobody anchors and forget you can join us online over at freetalklive dot com. We've got a chat system. It's called matrix. It is a open source self hosted chat server. And we've been running one now for three four five months something like that. It's been a good chunk of time and it's going very well. In fact our main chat room on their the on air now rooms got over one hundred seventy five people who have joined that roan now whether they're all in there at one time or not is another question but it seems like it's active on all the time almost twenty four hours a day you're gonna find people in their checkout chat dot freetalklive dot com. There are step by step instructions there on how to get involved in that chat server and there's multiple rooms in which you can interact with other people you can even create your own rooms and administer them completely public or private is up to you so hop on over to chat dot freetalklive dot com to learn more. I'm waiting for somebody to set up a flute and pill poker game in one of those rooms okay. I don't know how you do that in Text chat. But i guess you could come with the bat. Oh poker and now. Is there about that. Somebody's written for that or yet. I don't know but it would be. It would be a good but i have i have asked about master to To write a wallet. Oh very cool. Very cool we'll you talked about keeping each other another time so yeah be great to have a tip pot for the you mean specifically for the the matrix actually four telegram i but the same ninety percent of the work would be done then. In terms of adding adding the ability to talk to the matrix would be pretty easy after doing sweet so check it out at chat dot freetalklive dot com. We're talking about again. Drug use here and carl hart that the doctor. The author drug use for grownups is being interviewed by sean illing over at fox. Dot com illing writes I'm thinking about this. In the context of the opioid crisis which you say has been covered terribly by most media outlets. Actually before i say more. Can you tell me why you object so strongly to the way. The opioid story has been covered. Carl hart says it's a fact that americans have lost their lives as a result of opioids. But when you look at the numbers you start to realize that the likelihood of dying from the use of opioids alone is extremely low. So especially if you don't choose to do them indeed so why are people dying. They're dying because they're often taking multiple drugs. They're mixing opioids with other sedatives which is incredibly dangerous. So the cause of death isn't opioids in these cases but that's how it often gets reported. The focus is i. I gotta quibble with them there in that From what i've looked from what i've seen it's mostly people who got sentinel Or people who ironically enough people who quit for a while and then went back to it. Now that's the other thing people will get out of prison and die of an overdose right away because you know just like you know. I'll get myself stoned into unconsciousness. Sometimes when. I'm just intending to put a little buzz on. Because i used to smoke so much that now the amount it takes two to be enjoyable for me is much less than i expect it to be so prison. We'd less dangerous than You know we outside. Meade is not dangerous in any way shape. Perform in less a bale of it falls on your head But yet idea. But i mean danger. There's different kinds of danger. I would say in prison. You're probably likely to get lower quality so And more likely because of the way it comes in to like catch a nasty disease off using a needle. That's ben in. Somebody's suitcase when you say Fendt knows what these heroin users have gotten. Are they getting heroin laced with fentanyl or are they just getting straight sentinel. What is happening there What what what was happening is they is so there were dealers who could get sentinel cheaply So they were mixed. They were deluding. The no and they were thinking that that was going to Prevent people from dying when they took it. Because you know. The dosage of federal is is physically much smaller The problem is that different drugs affect different affect different people different ways. So there's no number that you can say this amount of femininos equivalent to this amount of heroin for everybody. Each person is going to have different different reactions. And especially if you're taking multiple Multiples of what people normally take the action of drugs does not necessarily grow linearly. But here's the thing you're citing stories of people that you've heard of personally right. You're citing just case studies. Essentially carl hart is saying you look at the numbers on a wider perspective. You're gonna find a lot of these people who they're chalking up. Dying from opioids are doing other drugs at the same time. So they may be mixing opioids with other things like he says here Antihistamines or alcohol or various other drugs in these are not good combination. So you know. I i presume. He's looked at these numbers he says when you look at the numbers but he doesn't he's just in an interview. Here's this is actually his book. I'm guessing that if you actually look at the book he probably has the citations to you. Know to back this up but it wouldn't surprise me because a lot of the drug users i've known they don't just stick to one drug that's generally true although heroin addicts very rarely do anything else. So he's saying they do because he saying they'll do drink alcohol if they don't have heroin but but generally they're people are cross addicted like they do heroin and those people are the ones that are dying so that could be certainly speed ball is a very dangerous thing i thought with the in all the problem was that it was highly concentrated which is why they're cutting it with other what you said. And the reason they're doing because it's cheap to get fat and obese so concentrates easier transport basically that that problem is actually gone down a great deal because now people are just asking for phenomenal and when they know what they're getting it's not a problem. He actually addresses fennel in the next paragraph. At another reason. People are dying is because they're getting tainted drugs. This is probably the primary reason. They're dying now from something like sentinel which is an extremely potent synthetic opioid used in legal settings to treat severe pain. But we could solve that problem so easily just like they did in spain. Austria switzerland and the netherlands just have drug checking services that will allow people to understand the composition of their drug. All they have to submit anonymously small samples of their drugs and they get a printout of what's contained in that substance and some education about each of the agents in that substance. That would take care of so much of this thing that we're calling a problem. I get.

"By the Democrats that they have an oversight function. They have to craft laws to control the executive branch so they need to know. The president broke some laws out them do that. Plus, they have an impeachment responsibility. Explicitly mentioned that. So now the next step is the Republican lawyers for the president are going to go to the DC circuit court of appeals, and say, would you please put this order on the shelf, while we brief our appeal the trial court judge refused to grant an open ended? Stay said look I'll give you a week. I'll give you seven days ago, the quarter appeals, and if they say that you don't have to produce. The stuff during the multi-month appeal fine otherwise because it has to start producing it next week. Now, Royal some of these cases tend to be more clear cuts, others more subject to the judicial and political philosophies of the judges hearing them, your opinion, which category does this fall into? Well, it's hard to say I mean, people look to the fact that the president of pointed this, judge, and of course that's a game that everybody plays whenever a big controversial decision comes out, you look up who appointed this person democrat president or a democrat governor, whatever, but the problem is determined to be terribly critical because the battle lines aren't clear. They're very few judicial decisions regarding this tug of war between the president and the congress, one of the things that judge pointed out that there is a constitutional clause that says the president, you not supposed to take a fancy gifts from foreign countries. And so that's something that the tax returns might shed light on. But Republicans argument is now this is really just rooting around in the president's personal stuff for. Political purposes congress has a job that's to write laws. And, and this is really an overreach. So now the irony, of course, the Republicans are going to the district court of appeals, this DC circuit. America is he was a judge the Democrats wanted to put on the court and who knows if he'll recused himself if he's picked at random view, one of the three D C circuit judges to hear this appeal. Is there any supreme court precedents, that gives us a hint about the ultimate fate of this battle? Well, we do have the, the Nixon battle, of course, where he was ordered nine zero by the supreme court to handover his tapes of his conversations with people, but that, of course, is a little bit far afield from tax returns going back, many years. So the president's argument is that there really isn't any precedent for forcing a sitting president to dig into his personal files as real estate companies. And so, I'll go back eight years long before he became president. And so that's, that's probably his strongest argument, but the Democrats have going for them, the fact that around one went to them, as you say, the trial court judges on their side in terms of this broad scope of the subpoena. Now it's up to the court of appeals as ABC league. Analyst Royal Oakes.
