"I will get you back to the markets right now and we have say a bit of an interesting little progression when it comes to bitcoin. Of course we saw some pretty quick selling off. And i'll tell you what. I did find quite. I guess what is fascinating. This morning is also doing the scandal. Just before the scan sorry was that the market was down from its highs. Twelve hundred forty five dollars and it was like oh. I looked to where it was from the hamanaka jason. We've come with a thousand bucks but it didn't really look as a blip at all on the job it's not a big candy. Who really. it's not it wasn't wild. It was now to control So you have really really interesting to see how the market has changed much in such a short period of time. Of course what we've now got is last. Wakes cattle is a very big one. It's up twenty two point four seven percent. Now that's that's the biggest bullish candle that we have had Jays for a very long time. I'm enclosing up that far that i think that is the The largest single weekly candle grain a since backing limbs that Since back in one of the twenty twenty two point. Five three yeah. I really think that was the biggest candles since back. I'm trying to find them The twelfth of february two thousand eighteen the biggest closing margin there that was twenty eight point nine percent but this shot is looking something special. Now i'm truly through all time highs. We are well and truly through twenty thousand and we could well and truly go a lot higher and tight. That wrong downside. The that may saying she buy bitcoin. What i take it would. Would you take it as is that. I believe we will move higher in time. I also believe that. We'll get some vicious pullbacks This is up. This is a very very volatile market. So be prepared. It's those pullback settle for opportunity for us it is. of course the trendies up the trendy. Strong and i'm loving it. Twenty three thousand seven hundred and sixty dollars. Buying a home when 'New to Canada'
"Know funny. Things happened mike. And i had actually planned this episode several weeks back to discuss the options for new to canada homebuyers so it was completely fortuitous that i received a voicemail from a potential future home buyer in england. This gentleman apparently wants to move to canada in about a year from now. And he's got he's got questions about options for getting mortgages and what. The costs are involved in buying a house. Here's his voice. Mail a by a heavier well. I may cost list from the uk. My life is winning. Pick and we're looking to move back to winnipeg with young kids in the year or so. My question is this aside from the usual down payment taxes. Is there anything else you think. We may need to consider when volume winnipeg when moving from abroad particularly in relation to mortgages and credit otherwise. Thanks during about costs. A nice place to stay in touch with what's happening will the best now. First of all let me say. I really love getting feedback like that. It tells me that there's actually people listening and it's making a difference that's that's really good Very simple way for you to leave me a voicemail like this by simply going to my podcast website page which is at bono's dot homes slash podcast or if you to this episode in particular bono's dot homes slash one four two everytime you go to my site. A little microphone will appear at the bottom of your screen. Just click it. Leave me voice mail. The will be required to leave an email address. And i will get back in touch with you. I will play. Or i may. I probably will play your voicemail. But i take your name out to keep it private love to hear from you but for now let's call. Mike conceal yes to say. Hey mike it's bowl kaufman. How you doing today. Hey do well how about yourself. Excellent excellent so you heard essentially that question from that gentleman in england. Who's thinking of moving to winnipeg correct and so in answered his question. The first question is how much down payment do you have. He's asking determine what type of credit information. We need for example. If you have a twenty five percent down payment and you've been in canada for three years or less it doesn't matter what your income or immigration status we can get you a mortgage at a positive rate. That kind of threw me there. It's three years or less correct. Three years left. So it's if you've been in canada for less than three years you're good to go with twenty five percent down that's correct. Yes and then you can students. You don't have to have employment. You don't even have credit. That's the requirement cool so as we go down from there so the next level down would be. Let's say a ten percent down so if you have a ten percent down payment you'll have been at your job and in canada or three months and you need to show letter your bank saying that you have a history of making pates. The next step down there will be five percent down payments if you have a five percent down payment cata typically for twelve months so for one year and have a letter from your landlord. Show you pay your rent on time. So those are the sort of the with the descending amounts of down payment. What's required to get a mortgage cara okay. What about a job at five percent down you here for a year. You still have to do a qualifying employment right correct. Yes you you still have to have a job off of probation. Most lenders have a one two three month. Probationary period's okay. So let's go back. That i one really. If you're in the country even a student a refugee anybody was in the country for less than three years can buy a house. And i understand that you just recently did a mortgage for somebody told me about that cracked and so we helped a couple where there was two brothers encounter for ten years and they just brought their parents over from asia and their parents want to buy a house will they brought over money with them so the parents did not have a job did not have any income in canada but because they just came here and they had a twenty five percent down payment they're able to buy a nice house coaster kids. Well okay that's that's awesome. That's good and the rate of those people was. They got a two point. One four percent on a five year fixed.

Stalking a Short on Bitcoin
"Today in the markets guess what gave a market a Bush mock. I don't mean the market that I tried and did you try to count the number. Love me for hope. Anyway I'm talking more about the futures in the US. Of course. I'll have been talking a little bit more about that off light because it has been talk of the town has been moving quite extraordinarily. It's not a market that I focus my attention on or take people to try to teach people to try cryptocurrency because this volatility what we get that more frequently and now you understand why not try traditional markets and wiped away a couple years ago. To focus on crypto full time. I'm we're up on the close. We're up a thousand over thousand points on the E. Mini four point five percent. The and the s over spots are the s all the S. and P. Five hundred has resigned above three thousand again that appear at people like the fact the Mr Bloomberg has Bildt on the rice and Mr Bernie Sanders is less likely to to win. I think this seems to be a parent from what's happened to the markets are the things that come through that I've seen is the The the primary it appears the business seems to think in markets for that medicine to think. That's a Baden government a better a better outlook full business than I sanders. One and I forget. The market is a complete replication of capitalism. I it's it's what it is. It's about making money it's about you know. Markets go up if money's being made if things are positive So that Swab. It appears that Baden has been given the thumbs up by the markets as he did creep ahead. That's for sure so talking back across to To Amok at the market that I do try democracy. I do get people to learn about teach people to try his KRYPTONITE. Had A great deal moment a great deal of moving on? I'm market over the last twenty four hours with pretty much flexible there. There are a couple of exceptions in all. I'll speak to those in just a moment. One thing I wanted to talk about is if you're not following me on on facebook. You really should be Craig Cobb. That's a Double Bay for Bravo not day God on the fish when I was called as in kkob cow Hasn't yes I know you're saying on the voice corn on the cob all of that one before jolly you say we have had a stimulus. Packages can obviously Hong Kong suggestive funded. Something point something billion three point two billion. I think it was and we've had a believe. Sean has also come out and said they were going to stimulate put stimulating talk of people that need to state high getting up ten thousand dollars for doing so to rip To sort of I suppose gave the incentive to stay high because a main think about somebody who who doesn't work for office here so what is out there and who does physical labor. What are they doing right now? Steinheim and do what from high while the flora can swipe itself from harm Is it site? There is a lot of paper especially the Guide to saw on. This was what the stimulus packages around the world. There to sort of help with so people actually do take. Hey to the advice and stay home now. What does that mean well? Stimulus is not a bad thing. As long as it doesn't lay damore printing of money now of course the US has been exercising. It's it's Apparent right to print money for a number of as a matter of fact it started in two thousand nine hundred ninety recently stopped on. I think it'd just find out the press guy So far as quantitive easing goes in the printing if further money I think it'll be very very interesting and potentially very dangerous if other countries to sort through the site because you know if other countries go out and so we've got lots of money then it's I don't know how they will react to that Americans have gotten away with it because they're America. Okay that the dollar's seemingly backed by their eyesight that the defence force. Because you know it's not it's not a gold pin currency anymore and oddly enough they feel to Conley battered if other countries would go out there and press now. This is not something. I'm an expert on. I'm just looking at this guy. Well if if you know if the market's wonderful further we interest rates more or less globally the silo. We haven't got that Fatah guy. What will the weapons that we had last global financial crisis? Well let me tell you what those weapons were. Those weapons were number one. We had interest rates to cut interest rates to make it easy for bank. Selanne which was alive all right. Let's go do those opportunity there number three well if all else guys to the bottom of the barrel print more money okay. So they used all three of those to push the most the longest bull. Run that we've had in modern times. Now what are they this time will Jason Tonight? Qa that's bad it stimulant lights. It's it's hard to see what sort of weaponry that they have out there at the moment to continue to stimulate growth Markets Steinke forever. And it's going to be interesting so I said keeping a pretty you type in view. I suppose that everything's going to be okay but also the back of my mind. I am starting to read a little bit more When it comes to government policy Saudi Arabia doing on Titan little notice than I normally would just so that I can be ahead of the curve is more important to me than anything else brought now. Let's go throughout market and have a little little challenge. What's going on Bitcoin? Thousand seven hundred forty four dollars point two percent now. The thing is if you look at the two hour shot here. There's a try that I call the you've heard before the bitcoin rake and there is one way to test was not quite. It's it's better saying on the bit mixed job support. They'RE GONNA have locust one of my strategy's not they're incompletion and you haven't with the rules unless you do and if you do good if you don't stay away you're already but it is building there. We do have a bit of a daily downturn do gacy a short today. I will take good thing is I just did my scan. I've tried but long short Tries TO WIPE APU bucks. Got Pretty much everything that I'd like to have the mind pretty good pretty good watch this today. Their aims down but pretty much flat. It's two twenty three. Seventy six six up pays up point. Three Senate twenty three point five cents. We got bitcoin cash three dollars. Sorry three dollars. Three hundred nineteen dollars. Ninety five cents. It's down two point. Nine percent the biggest fuller across the board has to be said it is Vail. It's just changed. But his two hundred and thirty two dollars and ninety five cents. It's down six point. One four percent. There was a pullback into an all support level and it was a little bearish candle in that cradles on. Potentially that could have been a tribe. Did I take it did I say yes? Why Not Take it? Well a believe you find. It is rule number five in the cradle tried law coin sixty thousand forty nine cents is down a US three dollars and fifty nonsense. It's standpoint non. Barnes is in the grain. It's at one point three five Senate nineteen Dole's at a nonsense not looking at the moment for any longs on Bonnets. Although there is some support styling Resist inside and build also fuxing in the moment on trading with trends trading Focusing on tries in the direction of the daily trend that is my focus at the Mon- that's where my focus will stay because that is with a high probability opportunities live at the mum. I took it tried yesterday against bitcoin lower risk because my bitcoin trying to guidance bitcoin an Ulster Bitcoin. Looking a loss. It's been pretty crap for me this year. It's not it's not been a area of big profit it's actually being a losing area for me The perpetual contracts against doll. That's been very successful this year And that has always been a focus for the tribe simply because he got one stable which is the US. Do pitcher whether whether it's cooled but you've also got one very volatile whereas if you try against Bitcoin you got to be very volatile and this year. It's it's just you know the ones that have taken a little older. But I've had more stop outs profits having one of the one of the other prophets. I'd closed at because I was helping the old man get better than old man. Philo Look after elevate shaking soy just close the trade Before stopping it's been a bit topsy. Turvy FOR MATES. HIV/AIDS epidemic: HIV survey report unveiled
"But we are now going to go I believe he's to Kenya that is correct we're gonna go to Kenya has it made any strides in tackling HIV well according to a survey by the Kenya population based HIV impact assessment it has it says the prevalence of HIV is dropped from five point six to four point nine percent the survey was conducted across forty seven countries and found that one point three million adults was still living with HIV in Kenya Dr Duncan check it is the project director and he joins us now from the capital Nairobi welcome to Newsday tell us then about this survey it sounds pretty comprehensive forty seven countries what what did you find in Kenya thank you bottom so we did the server in twenty eighteen and we got a couple of remarkable things one the Barden of HIV stands at four point nine percent correct it's coming down from five point six percent of five or six years ago and the burden of HIV is about one point three million people living with HIV in Kenya I think what's quite interesting about it does that can you had managed to bring down the rate of new infections from zero point five percent a hundred and six thousand people six years ago to currently thirty six thousand people what represents zero point one four percent so I think it is doing quite remarkably on that and lastly in terms of controlling the epidemic a lot of more people have been put on HIV treatment and now about ninety ninety two percent of adults I affected really controlling the virus which means this reduced chance of them transmitting the virus to others thank you so it's people who have already been diagnosed with HIV on treatments is that what you're reading is is stopping the increase that's correct I mean it's a it's a combination of a lot of different efforts are from preventing infection to controlling those already infected to reduce the chances of transmission so it's a multi pronged approach and and that's been the outcome of it and and to stop infection in the first place how successful is that sense of things I would say quite successful I'm given that Canada has managed to reduce a new infections by you know approximately eighty or ninety thousand new people every year since six years ago I I would say that's been quite a remarkable reduction in new infections but all the same thirty eight thirty six thousand people are getting infected every year a soul I clearly to control the epidemic we still have to bring that number down further the report also quote worriedly into into tasers twice as many women living with HIV why is that that's correct one I I have to say it's not you need just to kind it's also happening in a couple of other similar service I've been down that throughout the region of sub Saharan Africa the reasons could be several fold from biologic from the fact that for example men who are circumcised a reduced chance of acquisition but of course for women that's that's not a possibility and and also from the fact that you know there's different gender norms of social norms and empowerment of women to be able to say you know when they want to use a condom when they want to you know use adventure and I also a pro HIV they might not have that really the power of the social empowerment to be able to do that so it's really a combination of different aspects and and as well as a cultural practice stepped over time have led to quite you are now a double the rate of infections in women compared to men good to talk to doctor Duncan take a project director of that HIV impact assessment project in

"An average of one percent it would only generate at retirement at twenty one thousand dollar annual income pretty pathetic if you were earning three percent at a CD at a bank let's say a you would I have thirty two thousand a year of retirement income in an and no it taste you'd have about forty one thousand a year of income a brokerage account at that touts that they will every Jew nine percent would generate about seventy nine thousand a year of income of this is that and double income after tax and I are radio would at nine percent generate maybe as much as a hundred and forty three thousand a year of income but my favorite vehicle of the laser fund which is what many CPA's and tax attorneys referred to as the rich man's rod and Max wanted I you well I call it the laser fun at just seven percent and frankly I've averaged over nine percent but to be fair like Rush Limbaugh says it with half our brain tied behind our back at seven percent a Max wanted I you L. would generate a hundred sixty one thousand a year of tax free income blowing and the others on the water even if we give them a nine percent rate of return which is actually what I've average was at nine point one four percent on the money in my Max wanted I you well so folks that what that's what we teach these educationally Vance and so I'm going to talk about in this segment why I want to have a very powerful generator when I retire so to speak generator generates its own power you will never outlive your money of passes on for generations that's what generator mains most people have their money and what I call a battery and most financial advisors well intending to try to charge up your retirement battery so that it won't go dead before you do and the problem is that battery is only set at about a four percent volt rate in other words the four percent rule in the financial services industry and so it it runs dad and what shorts out that retirement battery so to speak three big things taxes inflation and market volatility and so at our various educational events in the books that I have written I talk about how to eliminate the dangers of taxes inflation a market volatility a you are immune from those and this is why you will not outlive your money it will be like a generator and when you retire now in my most recent best selling book the laser fond and they've been flying out of our warehouse by the way I was interviewed with a series called money revealed in my interview went about an hour and twenty minutes and when that was released both times our books and just flew off the shelves of the warehouse is called the laser fund and if you stay with me I'm gonna show you how you can get a free copy of the laser find that when you come to any vans if you want to get a free one off of our website you just pay shipping and handling and that's the laser fund dot com but folks I want to meet you I want you to understand for at least a half day educational event if you can or a weapon are the benefits of the laser fine now I have a chart in that book on page one sixty three the talks about comparing financial vehicles and I in the left hand column I have a Levin optimal features that people usually want when they place their money aside into an investment or savings account and so I will go down those right now the first of all it and these are in order of a poor and portents of based upon my forty five years of seeing people who get into trouble financially and this is when they this feature becomes a very very important number one is liquidity the ability to access your money be in control and access your money when you need it without a bunch of penalties by the IRS or or timing or penalties from the institution second would be safety not just of the institution but safety.
Bitcoins Consolidation Continues
"Get everybody welcome to try equipped Craig speaking well yeah talk about what a great little bit happened a little bit little bit a little bit of course we say also getting bit of bashing at the minute not all not all of course sir but many are taking bit of fumble backwards at the moment was saying some some downturns kicking back into play which is fine because it's just about knowing where to look for your opportunities and for the moment we really focus will I'm really focused on looking against the US day good margin opportunities available wants to USDA Suits may take two boxes on right now bitcoin looking he's up so files and closed up just yet because that will happen just a little while but the the level of bounced off as it as intesting twice snap is of significance to me you say it was the old lows thereabouts of two thousand and also of the pullbacks if you recall when we ran up fourteen thousand ish we did pull back to alot of non thousand four and of course we do know it went lower than that but that was the point at which we did really true selves into bit more downward momentum on that weekly hauling front now we're finding some support around that level have tested across two days now the first thing the twenty seventh of course today the twenty knots while today in Australia's thirtieth but you get what point the twenty ninth will of tested that lows well we do have a bullish candle that in currently two thousand four hundred fifty two dollars it's actually up two point four six percent so looking quite good there as far as green goes WANNA You know, it seems to me that they are absolutely determined to keep a little prices easing their long-term interests. I wouldn't say it's in the short term interest. But I think they're trying to balance up long-term Royal and the US aligns do crystal. I haven't answered questions yet. I'll go to you. And maybe it's an unfair question. But let's go are. They solvent is Saudi rich. Yes. Got piles of cash. I mean, if you look at just the sitting in in the reserves, yes is much much smaller than it was before. "Of about point zero zero one four percent that is one in seventy one thousand your one in seventy one thousand chance bet based on last year's crime statistics the overall probability of a person in the us being murdered in a year is about point oh five percent that's about one in twenty thousand also based on last year's crime statistics a citizen of st louis baltimore new orleans were detroit four cities where combined there has not been a republican in office since i believe the jurassic age okay including children the cities has a risk of being murdered in a year about point 0 four nine percent that's one in 2000 that's pretty big for if you're talking about murder so st louis baltimore new orleans detroit every place it's governed by democrats and and by the way many of those have very strict gun laws one in two thousand if the current rate continues ob about two dozen school shooters this year based on a reasonable definition of what that means their total victims will constitute about onehalf of 1 percent of all americans eric and homicides sixteen thousand murders will probably be committed this year about twothirds them will be committed by males between the ages of seventeen and thirty five in the thirty most violent cities in america represent must six percent of the us population but they account for a quarter of all murders if these got you know what we should really be doing this we should be confiscating america's democrats if we could just repeal the whatever it is and the constitution that allows it to be democrats i think the the murder rate would drop substantially here's for pugh violent crime in the us has fallen sharply over the past quarter century the two most commonly cited sources of crime statistics in the us both show a substantial decline in the violent crime rate since it peaked in the early 1990s 90s one is an annual report by the fbi have brown goes on and on just saying that crime is dropping so in other words all weekend long you're hearing about this terrible crisis if there is a crisis in this country right now it's not russia is not the crime rate it's not russia which had no effect on rural elections.
