Oklahoma City Thunder Embarrass Boston Celtics
"Special guest tonight, tonight is Jeff Goodman. And before we get to his latest zesti, take on Joe Brown which we will a little bit later in the show. We just want to welcome him to the Garden report. Post game show and Jeff will give you first bite at the Apple. It's I don't know how many times we're going to say worst loss ever because it feels like we've said it a lot. It's hard to not bother. It's hard to not tell this the worst loss ever. This is so this Jeff they work. They were atrocious and embarrassment but I don't listen, I don't care that Jayson. Tatum and Kemba Walker didn't play. I do care because I think Jason should have been out there. I don't know how bad the injury is, or whatever, is dealing with public. And it came like this, you gotta be out there. This is what 11/12 games left in the regular season. You needed this win, you could ill afford a loss like this, but even without Tatum and Kemba last name. They were without shade gilgeous-alexander, and they stink, they absolutely stink. They're trying to tank they've got a garbage team other than Lou door and you lost. You had supposedly Dead one of the top 25 players in the NBA in jail and Brad. I thought, Oh, supposedly. And it starts now, you mean using all subjects, you mean you're not lose. That's the supposedly Factor know. It's, it's true. Jeff look. I think they rolled the dice on Tatum thinking we could get away with tonight and still squash out the window. And so we needed to give him a day off. Let's pick the game and they pick this one on the back to back on the front, end of a back-to-back, and it burned him obviously. And I don't think he's, I don't think he's hurt but I mean, I get it doesn't matter. Like I watched this whole game, I've not watched to Oklahoma City games this year, I still can't name a player on their team

Head Coach Eli Drinkwitz on Missouri Tigers' Past Season
"It seems like yesterday that we were talking. And i thought i think people agreed your season run very well. You may not have gotten quite the one the winds that you were hoping for but if we could look back for a second what did you take away from from twenty. Yeah you know. I think we exceeded expectations. I think there was a lot of people when we saw this. C- schedule all sec. Schedule come out with what we were dealing with the ncaa sanctions and all that stuff You know the to finish five and five in the league i think we exceeded the expectation But we didn't meet the standard obviously moving forward The goal of this program is to compete for the sec. Nobody plays Football to play for second. And we're in a really good division a really tough division. And i know you know at the top of that georgia and florida but We gotta make room for our self in the sec. And that's why i'm here They didn't bring me here to play for six or seven. We're we're here to try to play first in. So that's that's really the the standard This past year. Like i said we exceeded expectations. I think we're finished To to pick last or second to last in our division we finished third Finished six in the sec but We got to continue to improve. We're not going to get there. You know in one major step we got continue to take it one bite at a time and in bringing in coach wilkes on the defense side of the ball continue improve on the offensive side of the ball become more explosive score more touchdowns in the red zone. Be better than situational football. If we can make those steps. I think we can put ourselves in a position to contend you know if you look at the halftime scores against the two teams. The two top teams in the sec. It's twenty one to fourteen against georgia And then we didn't show up in the second half in florida we. We had a turnover right before half time to make it twenty two seven And we didn't show up in the second half we got gotta be a team that shows up in the second half and if we can do that and then we can make our place in the sec.

JRPG Report Episode 144 - The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Black First Details - burst 02
"Hello friends welcome back to the show. This is the g. rpg. Bang three a craziness there. Obviously just mitt that there was really no time to reporter Record a podcast. Even before christmas was just too hectic so We're recording this on saturday. The twenty seventh just a couple days left in twenty twenty. Goodbye rents But we've got a lot of cool things to talk about today. I kinda wanna wrap up all the stuff that we've missed as it's been nine days since our last pockets. No i'm sorry that's not even right. That is fuzzy. Math is been eleven days since our last podcast. So we've got a few things to go over That have popped off. Since then. And i wanna kinda look look forward to sometime this week. Mean jordan are going to get together and kind of talk about What games we really loud from. Twenty twenty maybe even discussed some Game of the year options and then look forward to twenty twenty one as Right off the bat. We got a bunch of games coming out in the beginning of the first the new year. We got to tell you rods two. You've got bravely default to you've got he's nine And the newly Confirmed for some of five strikers. Just a name The the big big ones I'm sure there'll be others. But let's get into it. I hope you guys had a wonderful christmas holiday I didn't have any games that i particularly wanted that. We're already out. So i just kind of asked Asked the parents for Email confirmation that beginning Today risa to when it comes out on january twenty six that was cool and i did end up much too. Many of your delight. Hopefully i'm finally going to take a dive into these series. I picked up. Yee's eight for only twenty dollars on the ps story. I could not refuse as the physical version just refuses to ever go down in price so i figured this was by far the best opportunity. Get in on. What many consider to be a very very good. Jr pg and at some point. I'll be playing. It don't really know when that's going to be but that's enough rambling We did have fell. Calm day Twenty twenty winter addition and we got a few tidbits of information about the new legend of heroes. Toddle kiro no koseki if you notice the thumbnail for this Podcast are the two newest main characters is a third as well but these They dig use some high-rise resolution images of the to unsure why the third one was kind of like ashaari pow We'll get you later but still no names for these two characters but we do have a bit of information stuff. You see that image. There's a couple other on our facebook and twitter feed of those two characters while they are. I say have that trails feel to them. I do kind of agree with what president condo said last time that at mediate Glance they don't appear to be trails characters. And i believe that lies in the fact that they are from calvert So they're going to look a little bit different and we'll talk about that in just a little bit. These illustrations were drawn by katsumi. Nama and the other characters are from alcom. Like i said the character's names were not announced to this game is coming out sometime in twenty twenty one in japan so those were the images. There were some other ones as well. If you'd like to see all those. I did put up a slide show video on our youtube channel. So you can check those out if you don't feel like clicking through pictures of via the website here is what we do know and i will just read this to you as this is the about for the new age of heroes karoo new koseki beyond the blue sky ahead of flashing light a land. A dawning resides cuba. There's no spoilers going on in here. This is all preliminary stuff in the news story arc. So we don't have to worry about that type of stuff the ladder this latter half of the trails. There is about to begin. The setting moved to the calvert republic in two thousand and twenty one foul calm release. Legend heroes kernigan the latest entering the trail serious as its fortieth anniversary rumors of work. The calvert nation is a multi ethnic nation experiencing unprecedented economic growth. Brought about by post war reparations. In a corner of the capital of a huge nation were immigration issues bringing about political instability. Okay well maybe. There are some spoilers in here okay. let's just get to the best. I'm sorry i read that. And i didn't think about it until just now okay. The command style action time bow system. You didn't previous trails. Titles has been revamped and that's going to set up an from a couple people. Let's just see what they said. Seamlessly transitioned from action oriented field battles to turn based commands battle to turn based command battle systems while making use of the unique elements the sixth generation combat or meant would try to pronounce his last time. I'm not sure how it is x. I f. r. x. i. p. h. a. z. Feel in a ballots to evolve from the previous trails titles. Okay so what does that mean. I don't. I don't know i really don't know how to had say seamlessly transition from action oriented field battles to turn based command battle systems I i mean obviously there's a bit of an extra element when you strike the enemies on the field in order to go into the turn based battle i. I need to see this in action to really know what they're even beginning to talk about would just have to wait and see You will feature many elements you laws. It's setting including a topics system which enabled together until such topics by communicating with. Mpc's out towns tra- gate situations in your favor when you act as a spray gun and that is the The character it's basically a detective. But they're calling them spring and alignment flame system. In which characters three alignments great and chaotic fluctuate depending on your own style influencing various status allies and adversaries and even scenario developments please look forward to allege heroes lowest entrance toasters depicted enrich expression by thumbs new original ingen. So that's that's pretty cool Here's what how they set up the situation and I get. I don't wanna get too much into this. The to emit the two people that you see in the image the one is the one call the speaker those are they say sometimes detective somedays negotiators and other days as bounty hunters. They're up for any job from any client. That's pretty cool And then the other one is Say to be a school girl wearing uniform. Prestigious school visits a rundown building located in old town in cowards capital. So that's the setting that's beginning of it. You can check out those images. Like i said there's a third character in the images as well with the two swords on his back and some long hair but we don't have any details. There is a battle scene that shows what looks like to be a craft or an art powering up but that from that snippet it does look to be turn based. So don't i'm so confused as to what to make. But i'm certainly excited about this one. But the lack of details and the promise of something new is leading to some question marks popping up. And i don't necessarily love that idea but it is what it is and until we learn a little bit more. It's just going to be speculation Unfortunately though that wasn't the only bit of information. And i'm sure we'll have a bunch more but Foul calm day twenty twenty winter. Also let us know about and this is not really affecting us as much. But they did. Say that a hatch marco koseki which is the one before this one and after cold steel four Clouded leopard entertainment will release a switch. Pc esteemed version of the game Sometime in summer. Twenty twenty one in japan in asia. I'm nearly positive. That's the same company that handled The transition for coastal three and four to the top of my head. So i came out for. Ps four in japan on august twenty seventh. So you know nearly a year later. They're talking summer to get that Switch pc version now. It handles the asian side of this and i s america handles the translation available. At least they have for the past two games In the cold still series in the west still no confirmation that that translation is ongoing. That have to assume that it is unless it's being handled by other parties I mean exceed did do the first two trills of cold steel games but at imagine that they are going to do this hedge amari as well and as soon as i hear something about that it will happen. It's certainly a good thing that this is happening and It could lead to a speedier at least for these games in the west. But like i said still no information on unfortunately. The last thing that they talked about was not briefly. Mentioned this last time the natto. noca- seki game. That is coming out in japan for For playstation four. This was the old Two thousand twelve least. Psp action rpg though some new details and images kinda showing the ps p version versus the Ps four version of it They're sent opposites gonna run at sixty frames per second on. Ps four with more vibrant graphics. Not being obviously these are things that you'd want to have updated from an old old system user interface options One thing that i thought was very interesting. And i'm not to say what they say. This game is not connected to the trails game. However the main character's name is now utah herschel now you trails players especially cold. Steel will know towa. Her last name is hershal So what they're they say there's no connection but then there's a connection is the protagonist and a boy from that island who attends and academy in saint elise. Those aren't you know aren't names that i recognized the from the trails series so it is very very interesting and i would be would like to know what that connection is at kind of read through it. You can read through the tales. Like i said before i am lower on the percentage scale To say of this game was actually going to make it over here or not. I if i if you say your day is gonna come today out outs. Action say no but would just have to wait and see. The original game did not look super impressive. So this isn't a game that i'm all that excited about to begin with but we'll have to. We'll just have to wait and see if that indeed happens for a lot of switch owners the next. Gop g they will more than likely be picking up is going to be bravely default to gain closer and closer to that february twenty. Sixth rolled wide release date friend square annex released new trailer for it albeit in japanese and have still not seen an english version of this yet so it talks all well. Supposedly it talks about wiz walt. The country established by those mejia's. They did it themselves to studies. The magic research institute But the the real kicker with this one and you can see it. Is this places overgrown. It looks like it was built kind of in the middle of it are on top of a giant tree. And there's just this tree just going right up through entire town is really cool again Trailer is how long was trailer of about three and a half minutes. Like i said in japanese so you can't really tell what's going on but it is kind of cool to see some of the visuals in action Four it but if you're elected shake those game out for yourself you can check out the demo for it It is now live on the east shop and One who feels the demo before its release will even pick up one hundred mine. Intendo platinum points here is the Short official description of the demo experienced the games at risk and reward system character strategy and stunning visuals in the latest braley default to final demo in this demo. That's just the winner that don't into it's been Hit with a couple delays here lately. Not sure how much. Everything's pandemic related at this point but how much they just wanna fine tune things in. How much is really needed to make this work. Obviously you're doing with a system of past present and future while stuff can go wrong and working Just the way that you would like it to work New genesis the fantasy star online. To almost say reboot but definitely the new version of there is the opening movie for it and you should probably check this out. If we're looking at over fifty minutes of new footage as well mostly the character creation for its but this opening movie You know typically when you see these opening movies. They're using a pre rendered scenes. This was actually created using parts of the in game graphics. Engine which looks amazing Definitely if you're looking forward to this you should check it out sometime in twenty twenty. One is the release date Four it but again. This is one of those. Well not one of those but this is the faa gain. That i'm kind of just don't understand why it's not on playstation four. In the west it is in japan. But you've got to either play on xbox or on pc here in the west doesn't make a ton of sense but there's just things like that in this world that we gotta kinda get used to them. I guess we got three bits of sky news this week. i is. You can check out the fourth official trailer for six defiance of destiny I believe there's an english. There's an english version for this out. Now you can check it out. There was originally came out. There was just a japanese version but the english version shows off of really cool voices that they've got for the game. They got some good voice. Talent in this one in Very fitting for the series especially the little reincarnated pug services is awesome It's about seven or review of the game If you are curious about what's going on in this one changes that they've made this series. You will definitely want to check it out. Of course it doesn't come out in the west until summer. Twenty twenty one. Japan is going to get it in right about a month on january. The twenty eighth The other day actually. This was on christmas eve that this news broke New punchy released some new information screenshots for the game featuring and i hope i get these names right la haro aetna and flown Those were the original characters from the original the sky and they are saying that Basically once you beat the game you can Play a scenario with these original characters in it so kind of a you know. They're not in the main game this something post post content but the fact that they're in their would open the door to other characters popping up from other games as well. So that's a cool thing The world inside of an item. I m worlds have mended. Detailed in this article on worlds are divided into several fours slash layers and the items level increases with every four. That you clear says weapons become stronger as they level up. You can clear there either. Worlds to power them up once. An item is leveled up. You can get the same item at the same level from then on pretty cool feature of the sky series all these images i took input into a slide show. You can check that out on our youtube channel so you can dispatch companions into item worlds to research them. There's a new team attack system with up to ten characters in it. That's a pretty cool feature. New enemies were detailed There's a new horsemen. That's pretty crazy. So here's the Previous protagonist Oh here we go says not only will hear from. Our doctors appear the protagonist in heroines of the sky. Two three four and five will also appear in three d. The protagonist and heroines wilburs as downloadable content sometime after the launch of disguise six. So there's a from the sky to or i don't know in timika these pronunciations. I'm at risk of offending people. I understand how they're supposed to be pronounced So yeah they're gonna add them in there as as post content deal see. That's the type of thing. Like i would think you'd be okay with paying for because that's obviously not a part of disguise six. They are previous games characters in new content. So take how you feel about. Dlc that is that's one thing i think is is no k To do speaking of all those previous disguised characters they are all assembled in the rpg. Mobile game And we got news from bolt chain games that they will release worldwide the mobile version the sky arc in spring. Twenty twenty one Unless you're in these countries in the no fast if you are but we are a western primarily focused podcasts. So you're not going to get in china taiwan hong kong macau singapore malaysia or korea Sorry don't i don't know why maybe that is. Just it's gonna come out later. Maybe there's some rules preventing that From happening if we're interested in getting it on a closed beta for the game. They will have one for canada. Brazil australia and the philippines sometime in january so really happy to see this thing go worldwide. There was a global announced trailer for it This came back It came back in march of twenty nineteen in japan. Had a whole bunch of issues with it and It was de definitely the this game was deadly responsible for some financial hardships for nippon ichi. And they finally got up. Right obviously gotta writes the point. Now they're really to bring this thing out worldwide As far as the gotcha game or not. I don't know if i recall. I think it was paid game. But i should probably ended up before speaking about it. But i'm sure there's elements in there but hopefully this is a Not another one of those kind of like. We've we've like. We've got enough of those already know ankara today. So in place of it you get one last plea for listener support We've had a few people signed up for but really not a whole lot of response so I kind of said you guys. I would do this to the year. Kansas City Star apologizes for racially biased coverage
"A huge retraction over the way that it treated African Americans over the decades. Jazz legend Charlie Bird. Parker was a native of Kansas City. But the first bit of Syria's information that the Kansas City Star gave him was when he died in 1955. Now the stars coming clean about that and other pieces in which it mistreated black citizens in his coverage, the paper says. For most of its 140 year history, blacks were rarely mentioned in anything but crime stories, and the paper saw itself as one written by for and about white. The papers. Current president and editor says he is stunned. How badly the star covered the city's black residents, and he notes, many other newspapers would find the same result. Biden Names His Picks For Key Players On His Pandemic Advisory Team
"Joe Biden takes office next month, one of his first priorities will be responding to the pandemic, and today he named his picks for key players who will advise him on how to contain it and how to get people vaccinated. His picks include some very familiar faces and some new faces to joining us now from Wilmington, Delaware. To talk about all of this is NPR. White House correspondent Tamara Keith. Hey, Tam. Hey, Elsa. All right, so let's just start off with perhaps the most familiar face on this team, Dr Anthony Fauci. What, exactly Well, his will be one bite and becomes president. Dr. Fauci will continue to lead the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases where he's been involved in vaccine development. And he will also be an adviser to the president. The president elect now On covert 19. He said on CNN that he thought his role would be similar, though What he didn't say is that Biden is a lot more likely to listen to him on a regular basis than President Trump has been certainly of late. Fauci will bring continuity between the administration's and he knows all the new players, including Biden's pick for the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Rachelle Wolinsky, as well as his pick for surgeon general Vivek Murthy. Here's what he said on CNN today. I know both Rochelle Walensky and Vivek Murthy very well. I mean, I've been working with the back for years when he was the surgeon general during the Obama administration and Rochelle Wolinsky has been a colleague of mine. She's an infectious disease expert. From Harvard Medical School in Massachusetts General Hospital. Now the CDC director job doesn't require Senate confirmation, but surgeon General will and Murthy had a difficult time getting confirmed last time because of his work on gun safety issues, Right. Okay, there's another doctor on this list. Marcella newness, Smith. Of Yale School of Medicine. What is her role going to be? She's going to lead something that Biden is creating called the Cove it 19 Equity Task Force. As we all know. By now, the burden of covert 19 has been disproportionately felt by people of color, and Nunez Smith is the founding director. Of Yale's Equity Research and Innovation Center. She's been working on this issue extensively and building trust in communities that don't necessarily trust the medical community or vaccines. Let's Turn now to the pick for health and human services secretary. The person who will be getting that job is state Attorney general of California, Javi Airbus era. He's also former congressman. Why do you think the Sarah was selected for this particular job? You know, he's been actively involved in defending the Affordable Care act, leading a coalition of states fighting to save it all the way to the Supreme Court. He spoke about that effort last year on all things considered, Americans are fed up with uncertainty. When it comes to whether or not they can send their child to a doctor or the hospital. We deserve to have certainty. Health care is not some widget that you play with its life and death. But beyond that, while attorney general in California he went after a major hospital system in the state for anti competitive practices. He backed legislation aimed at preventing drug companies from keeping generic drugs off the market. And the thought is that he may be able to bring some of that experience and energy to bringing down health care costs. He would also be the first Latino to lead the department. He grew up in Sacramento with working class immigrant parents. He got into Stanford, according to his official bio after fishing and application out of the trash that his friend and thrown away his personal story is something that you can expect to see Biden and his team highlight, especially since Biden's been under pressure to make good on his promise to have a diverse cabinet, right. Lastly, there is a White House position. Jeff Science will be the coordinator of the pandemic response. He's also gonna be a counselor to the president. There has been some pushback right to this particular selection from progressives right? He was a top economic official in the Obama White House. He famously was brought in to help after that disastrous rollout of healthcare dot Gove and save the launch of the Affordable Care Act. There has been pushed back as you say, from progressives to his appointment. He comes from the business world since leaving government he's Leading investment firm, and he also served on the Facebook board of directors for a time. The reality, though, is that this doesn't require Senate confirmation. And even those who object to some of his connections concede he is good at managing systems and solving problems in a crisis that is NPR. White House correspondent Tamara Keith. Thank you, Tam. You're welcome, Elsa.
Weighing the risks of travel amidst coronavirus
"Coronavirus questions with the one and only Dr Kelly victory. Let's get to his many calls is we Can everyone holding I want to try to get to you before we run out of time. So let's go to Raina in Northridge. You're on with Dr Kelly victory. For high doctor, This is Vienna. My husband passed away last year on by my daughter lives in New York, and she hasn't come down to Away because of the cold dead and I had made it. I have taken a trip to thinking of taking a kid toe quota Vallarta so weekend. You know, huh? Take a break and you know, mental for mental house and all of that So on both of us leave, I know buyout sounds and also Motive was our in house in a good health condition. She's 30 to 1 57 and I looked up the point put away Artur cases, and it's the highest was 66,000. And now it's only like 1500. I just want to get your thoughts on, you know of it to take the trip or not. It's been very difficult for both of us without you know, my husband, you know, especially during the holiday. Well again, and this is without rendering on official medical advice. All I can tell people is that I think you need to assess your overall risk factors. And it sounds like from the very little you said that you and your daughter. Both are in good health. You certainly are both in a lower risk category based on your age on if you don't have any underlying health conditions. I am not one bit concerned personally about going to an area that has quote a lot of cases. Because these cases as we know the vast majority of the people who are testing positive are not symptomatic and the chances that they have virus that they can even spread to somebody else or virus that is capable of causing illness is relatively low because we are testing people who have no symptoms asymptomatic people. People are walking around without a fever, cough or running nose. And those things are very unlikely to spread the illness. And furthermore, if you were to get it there, chances are very low that you would have a bad go of it. So I am a huge supporter of people doing the things that they want to do in their lives. And if this trip is important, and it sounds like it is sounds like you've been through a very stressful Recent time. Then I would really support the idea of you going and taking reasonable precautions. You should always wash your hands after you sneeze or cough. You should always avoid people who are actively ill. You should always do those sorts of things. This is nothing new Just because we have covert 19 around. Thanks so
The Food Fix
"I must admit to being exhausted. The last four years has taken a massive psychological and emotional toll that i'm only now just beginning to appreciate truthfully the struggle to keep hope that this day would arrive of alluded me the good news that we now have the opportunity to reignite democracy civility truth and move towards healing both our country and the earth. We've gone so far backwards that we need to move forward with deliberate tangible and bold steps one of the voices calling for such a revolution in thinking and action is dr mark. Hyman mark is a systems thinker and for dr. Hyman health is about connecting the soil with the farmer with the groza without diet and only when we connect all those dots. Can we begin to achieve planetary regeneration. As we'll hear in today's podcast what is truly staggering is the cost of today's broken food system. In which sixty percent of our calories in the us come in the form of ultra processed food. Dr mark hyman is head of strategy and innovation of the cleveland clinic center for functional medicine. He's the founder and director of the ultra wellness center and the board president of clinical affairs for the institute of functional medicine. Mark hosts one of the leading health. Podcast the doctors pharmacies spelled f. a. a. c. y. Pham esi marcus. The thirteen time. New york best seller author. His most recent book is called food. Fix how to save our health our economy our communities and our planet one bite. At a time i sought by ascii mark. How he got into medicine in the first place. Ming doctor was a total afterthought for me buddhist student in college. I studied buddhism. Asian studies chinese. I studied ecology. The environment systems thinking ancient systems of healing. Very eclectic and i decided after i graduated. But what am. I going do with a degree in buddhism so i took a long hike by myself in the shenandoah valley through my backpack brought a copy of moby dick. Because it was a very thick books. I could carry and read house before kindle and I just walked and thought and just kind of thought about what i wanted to do in the buddhist framework is really about healing. It's a it's a healing system. It's not really a religion it's really a system of healing of the mind and it's about the relief of suffering it's about compassion and love and service and and those were things that really called to me as a young man and i thought well. What could i do. That kind of fits all that. I could be a monk. That didn't sound like a lot of fun. But i decided i could be a doctor and it was a total afterthought i just i didn't have any science courses. I had to go back. And take some pre med courses and ended up loving. And i decided i would just keep doing as long as i liked it. And if i didn't like it anymore. I would stop and so far so good thirty years later. I mean that's great advice for anyone thinking about people. Ask me career advice. I say that like if you enjoy it if it fills you keep doing it and if it doesn't maybe think about stopping it exactly exactly chain. I've changed so many things i've been you know a small town country doctrine idaho and a native american reservation. Emergency room doctor started clinics in china ex patriots. I was the medical director. Kanye ranch i developed my own. Practice started writing books and teaching About functional medicine became the faculty of functional medicine institute and direct and the chairman of it started big center for functional medicine at cleveland clinic. And now i'm sort of moving into a different phase of thinking about how do we deal with the intersecting issues of food and health and agriculture environment which all may seem separate but are actually all one problem and if we want to solve one we have to solve them all to before we end that. What is functional medicine. What does that mean. That joke is the opposite of dysfunctional medicine. Which is what we have now. As essentially a system of thinking it's not a methodology or treatment or attests supplement is is essentially a way of thinking about disease based on systems. It's it's base c ecosystem medicine. You understand that that the environment is an ecosystem and that everything has to be imbalanced in nature. For to thrive and in madison we really created a reductionist model that allows us to focus on diseases and symptoms in drugs to target those symptoms and not really understand what is health. We never took the course in medical school. Creating a healthy human wanna one. You know we we basically learn how to diagnose and diseases functional. Medicine is the science creating health. And when you do that does goes away. The side effect if you create a healthy ecosystem for example on a farm or a natural ecosystem it becomes. Resilient disease doesn't occur.
Ashleigh Rae on Your Voice and Accountability in Recovering from Sexual Violence
"Welcome Melissa. Thank you so much for having me Teri. It's amazing. I want to start with the fact that you're you're conducting this interview under a stooge him because currently in Australia where you're based. There is a court situation where survivors of sexual violence are under a gag order essentially from speaking out publicly about their experience. So let's start there with this the law or the policy actually say, yeah. It's a birth of a situation for survivors. So basically what happened is our state government in Victoria was tinkering with one bit of our legislation around suppression orders and they cross you've got tunnel vision and didn't do their do diligence in terms of consultation and looking at who would actually be affected and what the outcomes of this would be and in trying to correct one bit of leads. Relation, that would make things a bit easier in one respect. They've ended up with this for lack of a better word. I'm this clusterfuck of a situation. Sorry for the swearing and it's now judicial proceedings Reporting Act which basically means that for a survivor of sexual violence to publicly speak out. They can't use their own name and you actually face up to 84 months in prison or jail and a fine or a combination of the two and if a media Outlet say like any of our television broadcasting Network's radio, what have you even if it's a podcast if they violate that and they publish a real name without a court order they're liable for a fairly Hefty fine as well. So that essentially means you don't have the right to your voice in Victoria in my state. You have to apply to the court for the right to tell your story if when and how you choose so we're currently going through that. Okay, so let me get off. Straight if you were to move to another province in Australia, would you have the right if you're outside of Victoria know so it applies to cases where there's a conviction secured in the same Victoria. So without going into too much more detail there that means I'm gagged from speaking because I have convictions within Victoria. And you said the intention was not to gag survivors of sexual violence, but now that this impact has happened. What are the people who propose this policy? What are they doing to rectify it? If anything that's a really good question. I wish I had a really good answer for you. It's been it's been a Survivor LED movement to hack the government to account here, which is been initiated by a journalist in Melbourne. Nina Finnell with the letters speak campaign, and it's been incredible. So we are really going hard at home. The government and saying you need to be more transparent and accountable personally. I've had several interactions with a Department of Justice. I met with them last week and we had a very long conversation about all of the areas not just in the law itself, but also in how they handled the public relations aspect of when it did come in out into the media and how awful that had Bane and letting them know that essentially the government had gas-lit survivors and knowing that young girls and boys and yet people were going to be watching this and feeling life. They couldn't come forward and Report because they were going to be gagged. What was the point really undermining all of the work that so many survivors and now police have done in encouraging people to actually come forward port. So what is the impact of this new legislation on the convicted perpetrators are they allowed to speak? Oh, it's a field die for them wage and part of the reason for that is because in the process of obtaining a court order somehow and we don't actually have transparent reasoning why this is something that we've demanded to know from our judges wage is that perpetrators have been notified and even asked for their views on this so it's it's fantastic for them. It really gives power back to them and takes away from the Survivor, which is really not. Okay. So as far as I'm aware perpetrators are free to speak to the media. There's very little holding them back except that Australia has really strong defamation laws, and that would be the only concern I'm aware of that they'd have so from an outsider's perspective the seems like blatant sex discrimination, especially if most wage Survivors of sexual assault are women and if those women aren't allowed to speak and the men who are convicted of these crimes are it seems like it's an issue that should be of national importance to fix. What is the, you know highest level of government doing about it if anything. That's such a good question. It's in in the context of Australia as a whole we've had amazing progress in terms of I'm gagging survivors. So it took several of our state's we actually had long-standing entrenched laws that prevented survivors from publicly speaking out and interpersonal actually run some really successful campaigns in the Northern Territory and also in Tasmania always in the last 18 months and she got those laws revoked amended. So that survivors could actually speak out. So they've had the right to speak before which

So it took several of our state's we actually had long-standing entrenched laws that prevented survivors from publicly speaking out and interpersonal actually run some really successful campaigns

I was third I was pounding a couple of bottles of wine watching. Les Miz took three Am for shits and gigs like four times a week out a sheer misery. I never want to go back to. That place Suck Dick. No offense to Suck Dick that's I should stop. Describing things is that it suck Dick because frankly. I should be promoting the sucking of Dick's I. Have a Dick in love when it gets sucked. I'm going to start using it as the opposite man that movies Suck Dick Terrible fucking loved it. Probably, not the move. Probably not? But. I do never WANNA. Go back there. It's okay to use your past or current unhappiness as motivation for change as long as you separate the negativity from your current self like if you're making it about self hate. That's crap like self. Love is great. Don't get me wrong though. You have to judge yourself a little fucking little like it's fine to set standards for yourself. Again just framing it up positively instead of negatively. It's not judging you. It's setting standards for yourself. Healthy standards based in healthy realities, not on some social media or Hollywood bullshit. You've latched onto and not even realized or even stop to remove a poisonous fixation of. The FUCK! "Like I understand that I am an imperfect regular ev, every single one of us is just a regular motherfucker and what Dave Chapelle was saying. Forty six is like of course these people. That live the most. Unrealistic not every day version of life. This fucking fake I mean it's not fake. It's real life still, but it's this very weird version and luxurious and money filled and. Not Every day, every man problems why the hell would we listen to them about morals or politics? Why the fuck would we let? These celebrities serve as our measuring tape for what's right and wrong. Is just another example I'm not saying you would should, but he's a guy that is. oftentimes presented himself as a moral. Example for fans of his, which by the way called babies, which is just a whole the thing. And I just WanNa be clear about something else I am not actually the leader or member of and Organized Crime Organization. The RVP gang is a joke, and if I ever called your babies at any point, and you stuck around to listen I'd make funny. In fact I've made funding for calling ourselves gang. I've made fun of me. I've made fun of the gang gang gang thing repeatedly. I've said. Don't please don't come up to me and say this shit anymore, because it's Hilarious, but it's also stupid, but if I called you babies and you stuck around. I'd shame you. You can't be a prick in stand on your soapbox in fucking moral highground us all, and then end up being a pedophile. Bro, you can't. I'm sorry. Somebody told me the other day. The tweeted at me. They read one of my tweets in his voice. And I replied. I think I wrote it in his voice. And I was joking obviously. But it's somebody that I'd watched another their. Stand up to where he is absolutely influenced me. And, and yet again just like with Louis it's incredibly disappointing to see that he's probably a shit back. Because there's a difference between. fucking up and having a sick issue in your head, and maybe sending a couple deums, and almost doing it, and never touching it again and sending hundreds, or however many he did, and for however long he's done this and hopefully never went further, but if the and if he did fucking obviously fuck him. But, if you never did, there's a difference. It's. I can't stand by that. Sorry I can't. Can't do it. It's not cancel culture. I. Don't I don't know how to cancel the human being I, am just me. Choosing to no longer engage in his shit. Content or otherwise? I'm uncomfortable with his behavior. And I will not support it. It's as simple as that. But also a great reminder that celebrities. Should not serve as our moral or political compasses. They're just regular fucking. Sickos like you and me. Next segment. Tips for motivating yourself to get in shape. I've been a skinny man I've been fatman. Gone back to being a skinny man, and as such I've seen the strive in struggles firsthand as bill chunk. Of what it's like to try to lose weight and get back in shape, and how hard it is to find an harness that motivation and today still equally as important to me. That I do all the things you would do to get in shape. For my mental health, and yet I still struggle to motivate myself at time so I know the struggle. But a lot of people have asked me for tips on how to stay or get motivated on their fitness or mental health journey Hashtag, Ross fit, and I have some ideas and some thoughts first off. Here's one of the steps I took when I was bill chagas that was huge for me. Really get to know your body every day in the Mir like that's you. Love you? There was a day probably three years ago. Ish, while I looked in the mirror I specifically remember this moment I looked at myself and I saw myself. For what I realized was the first time in months when I was at my heaviest. I weighed about two. Oh six on my frame. That is It wouldn't sound like much. I'm six two, but you gotta remember chicken legs. chicken leg cried month by the way COP PM. We're not doing a lot on that ob for obvious reasons this year, but My frame to six on my frame is very unhealthy. I way. Fifty plus pounds less than that now, and and this is a this is supposed to look. This is my frame when I'm eating healthy and living healthily but I remember this moment. where I saw that and I was like this was this moment of clarity I was like man. This is my fucking body. This is my life. I need to stop refusing to look at myself in stop refusing to love myself and get the fuck back in shape for meat. Like, it's almost like that show. It's like your outfit your body. Such a fucking sold started reflection of your soul. But YOU WANNA take care of it and make it make you feel good. It's a vessel. and. That's the really important thing to remember you for you at the end of the day. Nobody else. So, do you want to feel healthy? Be Healthy feel more clear, minded and happy and intern be a more effective friend and lover over human being did shit dude. That's what getting in shape is all about. There's your motivation. The vein parts of it like the muscles in the the Hollywood bullshit of it like the the magazine images of it that we all you know the sexy part of it. That's all fluff. The real benefits are internal like that's a huge motivation for me personally to remember. Like it's, don't get me wrong. Sucks not like how you look in the mirror. It sucks. But I got over that part really quick like. When I got back to normal, and honestly I got it was I got in the best shape I've ever been in. My life backed up through high school counting every. I'm not there anymore right now. I've been I've been slacking and you know. Covert Shit Quarantine fucked up the whole routine, but I got to that place, and there was obviously a moment where I was happy with my body, or whatever, and I was like damn this tight look good again, but dude. I moved past that pretty intellect. Holy Shit I feel so much better. Like fuck looking good is whatever dude. You can buy that I feel. Something you can't by now..

"Something is wrong. With this apology I'm really truly sorry. I was Dumb Guy who absolutely let myself get caught up in my lifestyle. That's my fault I own it. I've been reflecting on this for some time now and promise I will continue to do better to me. At the very least that sounds like him saying. I thought about it. And obviously flirted with the idea a lot. But never executed on it and I'm sorry. That's what that sounds like to me. and. You know what again. For in frankly like God, I hope that's the case and that's as far as it ever went. And maybe more information comes out. Maybe it doesn't I. Don't know even as we record more could be coming out. But the problem I have. Even if that's where it ended obviously aside from the con- the very basic. Right in wrong moral fabric of it all that you do not. Pursue engage. Underage girls in high school as a thirty five year old I think he was when it was A. or any man, your man there in high school. What the Fuck is wrong with you? The fuck is wrong with you. Even if they fuck, yes, there are high school girls who look like they're age, but then the first thing you do is go. For any girl that is young looking. How old are you? It's easy. That's a very fucking easy thing to verify somebody's age. If you're thirty five years old, and you like really young chicks that are legally of age, make the Fuck Scher that. And if you're a celebrity, who's GONNA mass fucking engage in DM. Sexual. Whatever courting. With the shit ton of really young girls. Then you really better make sure they're of age. He knew what he was doing. He knew it was wrong. He's apologizing, which admits fault and guilt. He's just dancing around the shit. and. Maybe that's because he danced around in real life. Maybe this was his way of dancing around it, but regardless he clearly has an infatuation with. Inappropriately young girls. which is upsetting because he has a bunch of fucking jokes about the shit. It's like the Chris. It's like the fucking Louis. C. K. thing and Louis was a comedian on a whole `nother level I don't even WanNa disrespect Louise. Comedy by putting Christmas same fucking. Echelon is him. He wasn't to me. Louis was the goat. He was one of them. It was him and Dave Chapelle for me. That was my my white black greatest of all time and I guess Louise Actually have Mexican, so we got everybody in there. Sorry the agents. Not Everybody just I'm kidding. But Louis? Obviously had some issues sexually. We are all aware of them now. But what really fucked it all up for me? I mean for for me from the standpoint of even being able to separate his work from his fucked up nece. which you wish, you could do with it, but you can't. is whether it's why you can't listen our Kelly. I can't go back and listen to Louis. The book fuckers making jokes about jacking it the whole set every set his dick. Jacking off. It's like dude. You can't make those like. Why is it the comics field? That's a good route to go. I know what I'll do I'll take the most dark and disturbing internal demons in me. Outwardly display them to my comedy in in Secret Act upon them what the fuck is wrong with you. DUDES! Just by one of those stupid rubber butts that Dave Fox in Dave on Hulu in fuck, one of those. If you can't control your. Dick urges one way or the other. Kindly, stay home and fuck whatever Dave Fox in Dave. For the love of God do Zola favor. Stay home and stick it in something weird. They make toys for people like you. And regular people. I should add, but they're caught flesh lights. Get a bunch of them. Get a whole bunch of them. And just stick it in those in leave, other human beings alone. fucking Weirdos Dude. I hope this should stay online with him and I hope he never did anything to fight actually. Even further, fuck up any of these girls lives. Or confuse them any further. And as I said on twitter Dave Chapelle is part of Eight, forty, eight or eight forty six. Excuse me eight forty six. He just reminded us. That celebrities should not serve as our moral or political compasses. And it's like every day since then celebrities have been lining up to prove that shit. What you know, how many tweets I read from this dude about. Right and wrong. Basic right and wrong shit over the past six months. Long, before even the black lives matter. Movement came to this massive feeling of climax that it's coming to. As a result of George Floyd's death long before that this dude was popping off more off his moral high ground on on twitter. Which is like? Again the fact that he doesn't smoke in drink and shit like plays into that right like. My fucking I look. I have to say this. I often come off is on my high horse, or on my soapbox will stand that in realize it in order to offset that I. Leave my Mugshot as my fucking logo for my show. As a reminder to myself and everyone else who listens where I came from, and what I've done in my past, which by the way at no, fucking, point involved underage girls. Just, to be crystal, clear the opposite of a dirty bomb clear. But my past involved a lot of personal self harm and drug use and getting arrested a lot. And Addiction. So I talk about that Shit I'm very open about that Shit and face that shit and share that shit because I know that if I don't I come off self righteous, and that is not my message. The reason with all this stuff about race this past several weeks. The reason, I'm so open about it. I made a lot of these mistakes. That I'm trying to help other people see. I'm not coming from a place of self righteousness I'm coming from a place of understanding and having been complicit as part of the problem. You. Know what I'm saying. It's just a totally different angle..

He became one of the biggest comedians in the world basically. From Vine really that's where I got. That's where I found this dude up until now that was like his huge rise to stardom from vine until fucking last night. And I became a huge fan of this guy on vine. I didn't really like his original. Stand up. It was kind of something was off about it. And now, in hindsight, it makes little sense, but it 'cause I just. That because I have a very strong. Ability to read people in fee open. Not even I don't even have to meet you like. If we if I watch you do stand up for an hour. I'M GONNA. Know you pretty well. By the end of that based on your jokes and Shit I'm very intuitive. That's just one of my booed things. Man, we all got things were good at one of mine's reading people and there was some a little off about his original standup. It always brought me the wrong way, but I loved him on vine, those little like however many second intervals, the vine was. And then his later standup. I loved and I went and saw actually at the Moody Theater and Austin, at one point, and he crushed very talented, very funny. Stand up, comedian. But, he always had this weird edge to him right. He's one of these dudes has never drank or smoked ever like Donald Trump. Which is totally fine? You just need to be able to explain that basically with a healthy reason. Right like people need vices in my opinion, you know what I'm saying like. But, he always had this sort of holier than thou air to all of his comedy. which is very problematic based on today's headlines. Here's one from screen, rant, comedian, Chris Delia accused of sexual harassment, soliciting noon for photos from underage girls. And basically long story short. He's been accused of grooming and soliciting underage girls for sex by multiple women according to screen Rhett. And again. Men! Here's what makes this really fucked up and it's the same shit that makes it fucked up with Luton made it even more fucked up with Louis C., K.. 'cause he's better known. Best known for his role in the second season of you at this point, not as a comedian. I. Mean Yes. Comedian, being a comedian and a standup comic is what brought him fame and the ability to even get onto you, but you watched by millions and millions of people. He Played Henderson of filmmaker who turned out to be a pedophile, dangerous grooming start like. Child pedophile. He also portrayed a child Predator on workaho picks. and. He even had a line that is now being circulated like crazy on his podcast, which is a very very very large podcast. Listened to by hundreds of thousands and millions of people. We said he's making jokes about how kids these days look much older than they are. And he said you ever see a fourteen year old. She looks thirty. There's no such thing as a fourteen year old girl anymore they go from. To twenty five. Six. To twenty five like that's. You know man. That's a funny joke. Until there's even a shred of fucking chance of you ever. Maybe you've having tried to fuck an underage girl. And it turns out. You, know the started because of a couple of tweets right? Couple tweets from people saying it was the first one of the first ones was how ironic it was that he's planning. A pedophile on you. When he when this lobby? This girl was implying that she was Either approached by him, or engaged in sexual activity with him, underage in her case. I believe it was. Approached her. Tried to make it happen. Basically what he was doing was the all slide into the DM's thing. Right? That like you get that part? Everybody understands that part. The disguise open to thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands of women through his deums right. Everybody understands that he's shooting shot probably just out of pure Shear Hornets. That part of the story you can put in your brain and go. Sort of get it. Book beyond like. The second step where every other normal healthy human would stop. is to ask. How old are you or to check their twitter or instagram or whatever it is? You're engaging with them on to make sure that they're fucking legally of at the age of consent at the very least. Legally able for you to even be in a sexual sort of conversation with them before you take any further at all in then. I mean even if you could excuse this shit, that like the kind of thing, he's making jokes about like. What he was doing. With deceptive beyond even the basic moral, fucking fabric of it. Because he was inviting them to meet him at hotel bars. Then, saying like no, so you just come straight up to my route. Like he was never going down to the bar, he was never going to the place in meeting them where he said he would publicly trying to draw them up into his room or whatever based on these stories. We've heard so far, so of course there was doubt right. From the first couple of stories in Neal Brennan. And other, stand up, comedian who I fucking love and respect a whole lot. PLEASE NEIL DON'T BE A. fucking psycho secretly You know not that I ever loved and respected Kristalina I just really enjoyed him as a comic I didn't know enough about his personal life to say that I love, respect him whereas I know enough about neal. Brennan to know that I love and respect him. You see the difference. Be Fan of someone is different than than. Idol seeing them as an idol or role model as a totally different ballgame. But Neal Brennan came out and said. Well okay, there's these couple instances year if there are more. tweet them and I will donate this amount of money or whatever. To some foundations, so he based it in a in a way to raise money. Well lots more people came forward. With very specific stories in a hell of a lot of screen shots. and. While none of the ones I saw actually involved him engaging in sexual activity with an underage girl. All of them were inappropriate and would suggest that he has an issue and a problem. At the very least. He needs to acknowledge that so this afternoon. He does sort of few breaks his silence, TMZ. He tells them quote I know I have said and done things that might have offended people during my career, but I have never knowingly pursued any underage women at any point. Then goes on to say quote. All of my relationships have been both legal and consensual, and I have never met or exchange any inappropriate photos with the people who have tweeted about me in quote. Finishing by saying quote that being said I really am truly sorry. I was a dumb guy who absolutely let myself get caught up in my lifestyle. That's my fault I own it. I've been reflecting on this for some time now and I promise I will continue to do better in quote. Okay, so here's the thing. He's. He's saying he never engaged. Knowingly. In pursuing any underage women at any point. That all of his relationships have been legal and consensual, and he's never met or exchange any inappropriate photos with people tweeted about him. Even if all of that is true..

ISOPROPYL alcohol anywhere I always a crushed it, but I always failed to say that ISOPROPYL ISOPROPYL The alcohol specifically used by literally every experienced weed smoker to clean their shit. can't find it anywhere because it's being snatched up left and right to make hand sanitizer and whatnot, which makes sense, but as a result, there are a lot of very disgusting, very dirty, very lacking in transparency bombs out there in the world and I know this because up until a couple of days ago, I had one of them and use it daily. I'm guessing many of you saw this coming. If you're on the internet which many of you are. Are Animal the week is Diego the tortoise. It's our first animal to ever make animal of the week twice. If I'm not mistaken, this specific animal otherwise known as Diego the sexy tortoise from episode, Fifty, seven with jared and I talked about Diego. He is back in the news this week, and he deserves more credit, honor and recognition. We all need to good animal success story in these trying times any kind of success story. Really we will take whatever. The Guardian had a great headline. Diego the tortoise father to hundreds and save your of his species finally retires, and by the way save your. They spell with a you. That's why say save your like that. 'cause. They're British. How the hell of not come to terms on this. fucking random us in your words what? That's totally unnecessary. Remember this dude, right? If you don't remember Diego, you better put some respect on his name. The BBC's headline Diego the Galapagos Tortoise with the species saving sex drive retires. BBC, a giant Galapagos Tortoise, whose legendary Libido has been credited with saving his species from extinction, is officially entered retirement first of all I had no idea. The turtles or tortoises could retire would retire. Or should retire. What is it exactly that he's retiring from? Is it fucking? Because Yego and fourteen other male tortoises. Responsible for trying to repopulate their species have been returned to their native Espanola one of Ecuador's. Galapagos islands excuse me. as the BBC put it. The Tortoise put out to pasture on Monday after decades of breeding in captivity on Santa Cruz Island, the breeding program was a success producing more than two thousand giant tortoises began in the nineteen sixties diego, aged one hundred. Is Thought to fathered hundreds of progeny around forty percent of the two thousand giant tortoises alive today by some estimates. Forty percent. I like it's not that impressive if there's fifty of them or even one hundred of them, but two thousand giant tortoises are alive today around that thereabouts. And our boy diego is responsible for forty. percent of them. He's one hundred seventy five pound thirty five inch long five foot tall at full stretch tortoise. And this is interesting. For All of us that have been in quarantine. The tortoise these ones that they returned actually had to be placed in quarantine before they could return to s Penola. It's an uninhabited island considered one of the oldest parts of the Galapagos to prevent them from carrying seeds from plants that are not native to the island. I'm assuming they're pooh-pooh. And get this for some perspective. Around fifty years ago, there were only two males. And twelve females, of Diego species alive on Espanola. That, was it? Now they're rocking in the free world. fucking two thousand plus. Forty percent were little. Diego's. Imagine. This this the exiled he must feel returning to. This island is inhabited mostly with his children. Retirement my ass. You're taking him out of retirement in putting him back into hell. Let that man. Stay in, keep fuck. We should all be more like Diego in fuck away out of our problems in not stop. Don't return to the shit life you had before Diego. Don't let them do this. You. It's not retirement. That's just the mainstream media feeding you that lie that word retirement. It's not real. Something doesn't mean what you think it means. Retiring from the good life Diego..

"By bowl media I'm your host Ross, Bohlin. And how do we did Episode Three Zero Five? After recording for two hours. CK Chin and I. We still somehow had the energy and. Desire to converse even further, so we went and got coffee at this place called cosmic coffee and Austin. It's a great little coffee and beer joint. And, we're talking. More about how we have to have a multipronged sort of approach to helping people see the injustices in truths in America that have been so expertly hidden from particularly from white people of means like myself. And it occurred to me. that a massive part of the problem in today's society is that there's no consistency of information among human beings anymore. Too often were playing the same game, but with different decks of cards. Too often I myself. Assume that everyone I'm speaking to or with all my friends and family for example like they all had the exact same information as I do. And we're all making decisions with that same consistent information, and that's just so wildly the opposite of the case. You Know How many conversations I've had this month with someone who assumed at the very least if they wanted to engage in a conversation about race relations politics in America. Would have at least I taken the time to listen to rb P. Three Oh one. And it turned out. They absolutely had not yet. I assumed incorrectly. Multiple Times. and. It's just goes to show you like I. Read this article you read that article. They read this other article. There's just this wild amount of information out there. In Twenty, twenty were all consuming. Varying rates of that information, and it makes finding common ground and conversations about complex things. Damn near impossible. Now I don't have an answer to. This. Problem is just wild to think about like back in the day by that only thirty years ago, people had like six places to get information at the most. Like newspapers and magazines, a few channels on TV the fucking radio I mean it wasn't that hard to consume literally all of the relevant media and information about current events you needed to. Because Pre Internet, that information was only available in so many places. And now it's just chaos and it's everywhere. In some ways, that's obviously a good thing. But in so so many ways that we're realizing more and more by the day. It can be an incredibly bad thing. So as I seek to find reliable sources of unbiased actual news, and the remainder twenty twenty in an effort to vote properly and such. If I have any success. Share. That success with you here on the show, so wish me luck. Some announcements and shouts before we get into our first segment. Yes, so chains heading over to the saints, Saints have been looking good chain can only add to that I feel like so congratulations to chain for staying up in contenders. He's not avenue. Go back down to open or anything like that. Yeah, definitely, that's always is like it. It's super frustrating especially when it's not the fact that they were like up to par like I think he wasn't up to par. They brought a numb lock to turn the team around, but like he's not like a terrible player like he's constantly been in this kind of tier two realm so having him go back down to contenders again to open vision again. It's kind of. Unfortunate for a player of his caliber. Umbro dude to keeps on coming. In the don't stop coming ridiculous like I. Don't get it. They keep picking up all of the former overwatch players. If you don't know who I'm talking, I'm talking about lucky future man. This team now has. Atlanta Academy announced that they are officially pulling out of contenders are still no word on where a lot of those players are going We do know that there spot for this week was just forfeited, and a by was given So that's kind of home, a crappy situation for the teams heading up from trials we could potentially add another trials team, but yeah man Elaine Academy like we. We had a lot of high hopes considering the way they played last year. Going into this season the kind of had a rough season. They weren't doing too hot and I mean I just think that with the the way everything is going financially in the world again. It like hey to bring up again. Corona virus is just kind of wrecking everything like and if you have an endeavor that. Is Losing money. To Support IT YOU WANNA lose more money supporting it so so especially in the early half of the year two because Atlanta for the the overall team like they're fine for the year. They don't need new talent yet. They are doing just. They have an abundance of talent. We're like okay well. Who Do they run? Sherpas indefinitely matter. They'll pound with either all they also run. Baby Baynes Still Kinda Kinda like okay cool like it doesn't really like. We gotTA keep that Academy team owner. You'RE NOT GONNA have options after the mid season like now they're fine. But like this team is costing money and not bring in much money so. You've got to cut costs to keep everything kind of floating, and it's ecstasy, but like dude, that is the world we're living in is like Ev. It's not essential. It gets cut down in like. Is the only essential east sports. You know a teams right now. In the overwatch scene and so. It's the way it's gotta be unfortunately, but I'm hoping that we get it back end of the season and you it back next season. I think it'll be. Still find for the Atlanta organisers whole. "He's you know, technically, not their coach right now. But he's relatively involved as much as it's been coach probably could be at this point. And it I I tend to agree though, that if if they were certain they wanted to get rid of him. Why haven't they? Good question. And again, maybe maybe I'm not viewing it through very clear glasses. But I think I am. January. I don't mean to cast aspersions on LSU. But I think you you, and I would both agree. It's it's a different place. Well, and I. It it in somewhat in some ways, I guess similar to the situation in Auburn where there was a lot of reports Bruce Pearl than wanna talk to him about certain things last year. But no, I mean, you're absolutely right on the wiretap. I mean if he's on tape talking about an offer to a cab. I mean, that's I I don't care who you are. It's going to be really hard to get past that. But but at the same time he's done well at LSU, and that that's the thing with all of this a lot of the coaches that in one form or another. We're tied into all this. They're good coaches. They've won a lot their coaches at the schools want to hold onto, you know, up here in Louisville that that was why little was the one that moves so quickly in granted in the case of Rick Pitino there. It wasn't just that there were other issues, of course. But you know, he was a pretty successful coach at the time there too. And that's what makes all this. So fascinating in college bath Patino before you go because. His name's been linked every job. And then it it's like a balloon it goes up, and then immediately blown apart like the Hindenburg. But I mean, do you do you do you believe that he can get any now these jobs? No, I don't I think I think he would want them. Sure. I do. I mean, he's coaching professionally in Greece right now. And I think he made all sorts of attempts before that happened be, you know, all levels of college in the NBA. I mean, the main clearly wanted to still coach and he's clearly in football. I believe he would want to he would want the opportunity at probably any of the schools, but. Right now, he's what he still has saying over him as the idea of NCA investigation delusional that hasn't even happened yet. In addition to. The issue with Katrina Powell and the sex scandal before that so. You know, you're talking about a guy that the NCAA could give show 'cause to and you don't know it yet. You don't know what's going to come to that. So I just don't see how any school could take that chance without knowing what's going to come out. You know, you the risk you run at that point is Danni ten kind of situation. Yeah. Those who don't know di- Donnie ten was hired by Tennessee while southern miss was being investigated, and he did not last very long. Right. Which is good for Tennessee. Because they got rid Barnes as a result, gentry many. Thanks great to catch up with you again. Yeah. Thanks, Paul, ticker, good staff from gentry esus. And again, the we'll wait to Matt Moscone is credit. He he's in Baton Rouge. She says a Joel even the administration wants we'll way to be the head coach. "I like Scofield Williams produce gonna be a tough match up for them. If they get by them, a really like their chances against Virginia and to BUSTER and get to the programs first final four, no doubt. I mean, there are some amazing possibilities this weekend. Some brilliant like you said, and then there are some that would be mind numbing to television audiences. Oh, yeah. From SEC standpoint too. I mean, what do you do with LSU team that obviously had a lot of controversy. I do like the way they kind of battled with Maryland. They lose the lead. They're going to have to shoot the ball a lot better than they did the second half against Maryland jail. And they're against the team that obviously has done the us against the world thing for quite a while in Michigan state, but that's a good match up as well. Auburn's probably got the longest odds just because North Carolina's playing so well because the one thing that matchup is Auburn shut the three so well last weekend, they could shoot that. Well, and still lose against North Carolina. That's how. Unloaded that or he'll team it. I want to Florida state Auburn final to re- to re- re- reinvigorate the twenty thirteen national championship in football. I thought you wanted to Florida state Virginia Tech. So we could go way back in ninety nine and four. But yeah mean you're like me the brains always on football. Yeah. There's a lot of programs mayor. I mean, you could say Michigan Michigan state included that I wonder if they'd rather be McCollum football playoff than the. Four. I can think of a few always great to have you on Bill. Come back soon. We'll talk football next time. Thanks so much Paul Cristeta, though, better usually football guests, of course, everyone's a basketball guess right now again, repeating the story the afternoon, Mike Anderson gone at the university of Arkansas that it's four SEC head coaches who have been fired in about twelve days. Three in the last week LSU's probably will make that five once they put the basketball up for the season. We are up against a break. More of your phone calls as we roll along here on a Tuesday afternoon. Gentry is joining us who hasn't been around as long as some of us. But he probably understands the context entry great to have you back on the program. Jentzsch we've been on the show many times over the years. So we're trying to put into perspective what this means. And I'm gonna I'm gonna toss the potato to you to put it all in in context at it became the city to moral, Kentucky and. You know? And and I think that the big question right now for Kentucky is PJ Washington play leading score leading rebounder, that's kind of the big story line. I guess if they go into this week sixteen teen game against Houston. Well, tell us what you know about PJ Washington. Yeah..

"There was that story running around he might flirt with the UCLA job. And I thought about it for second. You know, you think about it on one end. Well, man, if he went to UCLA, he he'd be able to do whatever he wants there. But at the same time, I'm kind of glad he stayed at UK again, there's a program that in the second weekend. I honestly believe you can disagree with me. If you want on this. I think his presence in the SEC is really elevated higher conference because that's why Tennessee has Rick Barnes. You know? That's why auburn's in the Sweet Sixteen on some level to have a quarter of the brackets pretty impressive for that. For conference that you know, a lot of the fans of worried about spring practice right now. Listen to they're different points of their life. But but not by much I might add. But I mean there there are some comparisons. I think the other than the number of titles between Cowan Nick Sabin just in terms of what they mean to the program and ultimately to their part of the country. Oh, absolutely. And it takes a special kind of coach to be able to handle the expectations opposed to programs. I know right begging. I are one of our writers did that comparison few years ago. And obviously, you mentioned the biggest thing the titles, but to be able to handle the Kentucky coaching job for that long ten seasons with the chance to go to fifth final four to me. That's pretty impressive. You know, when you talk about blue bloods, North Carolina and Duke or getting a lot of the headlines, but he's the one that kind of pushed Kentucky back into that conversation. Same thing saving did at Alabama. I mean, they were in a downturn. And now, we you and I talked about it almost every time. It come on here about rather. That's the greatest. Football dynasty time. And it almost seems like to to Kentucky fans in cal- that opportunity that went awry a couple years ago four years ago with the undefeated team would have been the exclamation point for John Calipari. I mean that possibly would have gone down among the the greatest if not the greatest college basketball team of at least modern time and now people with each year that he doesn't get to the final four, and he may get there by the end of the weekend that keeps coming back up. It's it's almost haunting in a way. Yeah. I guess, but you know, he's kind of the model he used with the one and done it took so much criticism. And again, he sent all these the NBA, and here's two things. I would say about one when I watched Kentucky the thing that impresses me. Most isn't the five star talent or the offense. It's that you're in you're out he buys in gets those guys to buy in and play defense look with what they did against Wofford and Fletcher, Maggie the best shooters ever, and they shut him down. And they didn't shoot the ball while they still won the game to is do kind of the model, Paul. I mean, did your n and Barrett and all the guys they have and even their last title with Winslow and an Okeafor coach K absolutely followed the model. Well, no, there's no question. I mean calculated so well that the greatest name in the sport stole it. And then bettered him in the process. Yeah. And I think you know, we get into contention storyline. So this weekend and heading into the final four, and I'll pick up thing. I think you know, we're all just heard it on the promo for came on. Everybody's kinda pencilling in seen if we get Duke North Carolina and then national championship game. And that's fine. The ratings would be great. I'm sure, but you know, the networks would take Duke Kentucky to they want those two fan bases that they do. Okay. On the TV ratings. I actually think if one team gets through this weekend, you're gonna probably mock me here a little bit. I think it'd be Tennessee. I I just think I like their matchup, and no, no, no, mocking at all. I agree with you. Well, I I was there in Columbus this weekend. So picture watching the team go up twenty five lose that twenty five and then kind of have the guts to come back and win and I like to tighten it team..

"I mean, I think this to me looks more like a bowl team than it ever. Did this time last this time last year that was some of the the worst football I've ever seen and the coaching staff knew that I think now there's there's a little more depth. I think they've got more side job keeping that really good strength coach away from Maryland from going home, correct jail. He doesn't really good job. They've got more pieces now. But you know, if you're sitting there and saying how they caught up to the bama's and Georgia's no, I don't think they have. But I think. Got a competent staff here. I think proves got some upside to him. And I think he has a pretty decent idea what he's doing. So. But I said from the beginning this would be a three year deal, and this is just your too. So you expect to see some some things going in the right direction. But I don't think you're going to be seeing them some knock down Bammer, Georgia anytime soon. Great heavy on west enjoy Louisville. We will hopefully talk very very soon. Thanks so much. No problem anytime, Paul, you know, that you got it. Great west rocker, always great to have on. We are up against a break here. We'll talk about the Kentucky Wildcats and a little bit later on yesterday. We had Bruce Pearl. So we covered that aspect more to come and more of your phone calls. "Listening to Paul finebaum show podcast. Welcome come back. Rucker joining us. He does have support. He's always grad west great to have you on before we get to the the darlings of the Sweet Sixteen. The question has been asked already three times today about Holly Warlick. Can you give us an update on that? Yeah. Paul I think it's just a matter of time. I I can't tell you this certainty, but I think Tennessee is going to find a way to to put that politely, maybe mutual or wherever you want to call it. But I think Tennessee is going to be looking for a new women's basketball coach. And I think there's a couple of big names potentially who could be in play for that. So I don't really cover them every day. So wouldn't call myself an expert there, but I've heard the wheels are kind of emotion there or could they be just waiting to get in the way of the sweets. Not that everything would be getting in the way, it's not that. But it just seems like this thing's been going on for a long time now. Oh, yeah. Paula, and and I think that it's twofold one I think that Tennessee doesn't wanna take attention away from kind of its men's postseason run here. And I think the other part of it. And this is just as important. I think some of the coaches who could be interested very interested in a position our coaching women's teams Matt ornament. I don't want to take away from that. So I think it's two pronged. Okay. Let's move on. We ask the. Perfunctory question. We've got the answer. Let's talk about the men on the verge of of a collapse. It would be in the history books. They move on. And is there some reason to be nervous Tennessee has had to nerve wracking games. But can you can you square? What we're seeing over these last two games with what you've seen all year. And try to help us for what we will see Thursday night. Yeah. It's kind of funny Paul I was walking in in the tunnel there after that game and bumped into one is just encourages, and he just kind of looked at being grown and said just like you draw it up, you know. I mean, you know, you you don't expect you expect some madness in that tournament. And I gotta be honest with you the way that tournament had been going. It was such a telco thing that going into that day. I thought some mentioned is going to happen today. I don't know if it's do I don't know if it's Tennessee on Oprah's both Carolina or what but something's going to happen. And yet Tennessee was one of those games a twenty five point lead. I mean to see Tennessee play about as well as I've seen it play all season in one half. And in the very next half play. Maybe the worst. It's played all season that that was interesting, and and such an experienced team, you just don't expect to see something like that. They were just kind of turn the ball over at will Iowa got the momentum. And I had done the same thing Cincinnati two days before so so the Hawkeyes had that in them, but Tennessee. Kind of became a deer in the headlights there. And I and I wrote after the game that I couldn't figure out whether I wanted to say how did that happen or hey, good job getting out of that? Because I think both those things are true. You can say that there's no way you should get yourself in a situation. But then once you're in that situation. I think a lot of guys would have folded, and they went out there and dominated overtime. So I I it was tough to make heads or tails of that. But talk about what's next for do. We know we know the record. We know what they have. And what they've done. How do you see this matchup in terms of of just the edges, and and and and ultimately how it comes out? I think it's a really fun game Paul because I think both of these teams Tennessee Purdue have both proved the season that they can win in different ways. You've seen them win in the fifties..

"Wait has one he has built up enough clout in in this entire situation as says it is to where they're at least going to wait until they hear what he has to say. Or until further evidence comes forward. Again, my opinion on it is the day. They suspended him. They created an awful mess for themselves because they should have made a decision than either would Arizona did survive with their guy or for fired him, but existing in this limbo has created so much uncertainty and more conversation and ambiguity. So I'm I'm with you on that. But it it's clear that the administration doesn't wanna fire because if they wanted to they would have done it already. It's hard to believe though. Matt that the improv conversations with university of tourneys, and maybe attorneys for will way, they can't get some sort of proffer or some sort of an idea what he is going to tell that federal court in April. I wish I had an answer for you, Paul. But we'll wait isn't talking anybody. And I I part of me understands that under the advice of counsel when you're talking about a federal investigation. Some of that you're talking about for some of these coaches involved jail time some of that supersedes employment, which I guess part of me can can understand. But it's as hard as that is to believe Paul wills not talking anybody. He's he's not talking to media. He's not talking to administrators short of the statement. He released after his suspension. He's gone completely dark like nobody. Even sees them around town. He's he's kind of vanished amid this entire thing. And I think both sides are willing to wait until April until until that trial comes and goes. Well, again, we're talking about LSU here. So that's not it shouldn't be too surprising. Matt. Given the record over the last half decade. I you and I've had many conversations along this line. Too many. But I know you have a show to get to let you do it.
