Virginia Education Official Maria Burgos Confirmed Last Year Marxism Exists in School

"Now we have a Virginia education official Just a few months ago November 2021 a few months ago Her name is said to be Maria Burgos Maria Burgos Then she essentially admits using a Marxist framework in the schools Now it's a little hard to hear will make it louder you're going to need to make it louder too But when we're done I will read through the transcript It's relatively short Go ahead I get that impression I've been doing this for 20 years I've been here It's inclusion for everyone Okay everyone You're implementing a monster Framework and you understand that how easy to educate and psychology sociology Not all of it So you're admitting that it is Part of it is what parts are used So this is a Virginia education official Very good I've implemented in the 20 years that I've been here is inclusion for everyone The woman says but you're implementing a Marxist framework Burgos well understand the Marxist framework and you don't understand and you'll understand how it's used in education psychology sociology today Not all of it Woman says so you're admitting it Your meaning it is used Then you hear the gentleman with a great voice say not all of it but that would imply that they're used So what parts are used Says look it up Read it yourself Sociology education and psychology

Julie Kelly: ACLU, Government Doesn't Care About Awful Treatment of January 6th Detainees

"What Julie's doing and asking questions is doing the nation to service that the media used to do Julie but they don't seem to care And even worse they don't seem to care about the treatment of the January 6th prisoners either all these prison reform advocates are prison reform We've got too many people in jail We get when you talk about January 6th They're like throw them in the cell feed them dead rodents I mean what a bunch of frauds And let's keep in mind the people who are detained right now as I explained in my book in this D.C. gulag which has been opened just for January 6th defendants and they have not been convicted of any crime They are there denied bail at the request of Joe Biden's Justice Department With the consent of D.C. district court judges and we're talking everyone some wake and appointees Obama all the way to Trump appointees Signing off on pre trial detention orders to keep these men behind bars their trials keep getting moved I just listened to a trial this week a man who is turned himself in over a year ago his trial was supposed to start February 24th It now has been moved to April 20th Judge Emmett Sullivan yes that judge didn't even consider flatly rejected the idea of allowing him out of prison Awaiting a trial did he just moved back another two months

Julie Kelly Previews New Book 'January 6'

"So let's get the title of the book You can get it wherever you purchase your books It's called January 6th how the Democrats use the capital protests to launch a war on terror on the political right That pretty much sums it up Julie Tell us about the book and does this emulate the rahm Emanuel I'll never let a crisis go to waste strategy by the left Well I'll take it a step further It is how to create a crisis to then take advantage of it over your political opponents And what I suggest in my book Dan is that most of what we saw on January 6th was an insight operation that Nancy Pelosi and muriel Bowser left the capitol intentionally unsecure that day that there were FBI informants and agents months before January 6th with infiltrated some of these alleged militia groups And that capitol police let protesters into the building on several occasions and a lot of the confrontations we saw between protesters and police were actually initiated by D.C. metro and capitol police So a lot of people what we saw that day doesn't match up to the reality of what happened behind the scenes both before and on January

Piers Morgan Lashes Out at Joe Biden in Uncensored Public Letter

"On the one year anniversary of Joe Biden's presidency, maybe it's good to consider a letter that an open letter that Piers Morgan, the Brit wrote. Dear Joe, happy anniversary. Can we get a divorce? Sorry, if this isn't the most effusive of messages, as you celebrate your first year as president, he writes, but I fear it's exactly what many disillusioned Americans, including some who voted for you are now thinking. I don't like to sugarcoat things, so let me be blunt, he writes, you've been a disaster. It's hard to think of a more insipid, less inspiring fiasco ridden opening 12 months to a presidency. You are going to reunite a bitterly fractured country by ending the anger in harsh rhetoric, remember? You failed. You're enraged spiteful Republican bashing speeches at the start of the year. We're just as divisive as anything Trump ever spewed. You are going to defeat COVID. Remember, you failed. More Americans have died from coronavirus on your watch than under president Trump. The variant is surging out of control all over the country. You're testing system has been disastrously slow and you've still only persuaded 63% of Americans to be vaccinated. You're going to fix the economy. Remember, you failed, inflation is raging over 7%, fuel and energy bills are soaring. Consumer prices are spiking on everything from food to cars to furniture. You are going to lean on your many decades as a senator to bring bipartisan deal making back to D.C.. Remember, you've failed. In fact, you can't even persuade two of your own Democrat senators to agree with you about key policies. Never mind the Republicans from voting rights and work vaccine mandates to climate change, social spending, your legislative efforts are a catastrophe. On the international stage, Piers Morgan writes, you're standing is even worse thanks to your appalling decision to abruptly abandon the people of Afghanistan to the Taliban wolves last summer. In the shameful chaos that ensued 13 U.S. troops nearly 200 civilians killed. No wonder, Vladimir Putin is looking his lips at the chance to invade Ukraine. The ruthless Russian leaders brazen warmongering antics suggest he senses weakness in you in the United States. You're too old to weary to bogged down in domestic strife to have the energy or will to take him on. Mister president, you keep saying you want to build back better, but America is now in a worse position than it ever was before you were elected. Ravaged by the virus, a battered economy, rising violent crime, deteriorating border issues. People feel poorer, sicker and less safe.

Government Files Sentencing Recommendations for Brandon Straka in Connection to Jan. 6

"Today is sentencing day for Brandon struck the founder of the welcoming movement. This is a very important movement that has been a sort of vehicle for a lot of Democrats and leftists to move right to move to the Republican Party to become conservatives. And ASRock is a young dynamic, kind of a charismatic guy quite a character. A few years ago I took part in an event with him that he sponsored in Portland, kind of a walk away event. And antifa showed up. And the antifa guys I think brought their sticks and I think they thought they would cause trouble. They'd already vandalized the venue tried to break the lock and so on, but of course this event had plenty of security, had armed guards, and once the antifa guys saw the guns, you know, they had sticks, the security people had guns, they basically decided to quit, and they began to sulk and scowl and one guy took out a flute and began to play it. The whole thing had a surreal quality, but I remember it vividly. Now the government's sentencing recommendation. Now Brandon struck pleaded guilty to causing a disturbance something that he actually didn't even do. But we're going to get to what he actually did. But the government wants to sentence him to four months of house arrest. So kind of an effect lock him up in his own house with an ankle monitor and so on. Three years of probation. 60 hours of community service and $500 of restitution. And now, when you think about this recommendation, it doesn't seem in of itself something unendurable. In fact, Brian and straw call me a few days ago and he's like, what do you think about this? And I go, well, the sentence itself is stupid. Obviously, it's not a crime. It's not a, it's not a grievous suffering to be confined to your own home. I go you can be very effective. What really was worrying brand in the most was the fact that the left and here I'm thinking of an article in political magazine that Brandon alerted me to. Trump allies struck as provided potentially significant information. And if you read the article, it looks like prosecutors are giving branded straw a good deal. A kind of a light sentence because he has sort of spilled the beans. He is a sort of ratted out Trump is right about other conservatives. Now this is nothing could be further from the

"Hey i'm and then tell me be like this is my friend. He's a blogger and then she leaves kinda awkward. Yeah we sit in yeah totally. I don't fit in anywhere you have to act like you know where you're going like wherever you are you just have to act like this is where i belong when it comes to To your swing which you have to like practice over and over again. It's like one of the aspects of like being extremely mental talk. Just being able to go out there. Shut everything off. Just have the muscle memory to do it. Replicate the exact same way. Are you ever. Has this ever occurred to you where you're like. What if i go out. And i just forget how to swing. That's like riding a bike. You remember how to ride a bike or sweat like swimming. Yeah i think. If i ended up taking just say to say god forbid something happened and i took a year off. I'd still remember how to swim club. Would it be as solid and perfect is what i wanted. Probably not B you're never gonna forget so all along those same lines my actually last question so i feel like all golfers at some point in their career. I mean you've seen with tiger. He had to reinvent his swing a few times over. Do you have that in the back of your head. That like at some point. I'm going to have to figure out a way to change things up or are there golfers that are just like. This is my swing. It's been my swing my entire life. That's all mean. Look at a guy like Freddie couples like his looming has been the same forever and some guys swings can last that long. And hopefully you know. I've built my swing. Were hopefully i think it. Does it will last week so explain that like there could be an expiration date on your swing. How how would that work like. There'd be a day that you just let's say five years from now you start doing it. It's just not working the same way. Well yeah. I mean we could wake up tomorrow. My swing will feel awful enough to figure out why. Why does it feel like this interesting. But i mean there's i mean your favorite guy bryson do you think he's gonna swing that sixty years v fifty five. No he's gonna try but no. Yeah yes there's no way any fifty five year old guy can start that if we've played our entire life of golf wits. The first to go with a swing looked at the back. Yeah back or i mean. We've seen tiger with his knees. It's i mean. Our bodies are moving quite a bit like even though we're not physically getting hit like our joints are being rotated a lot. Do you wear red on sunday. Still none of always wear right on every every sunday until tigers back sunday. With a you guys a lot of shit. I guess what we wear. We'd be wearing. Is it only on. Only only every sunday until tire comes back. I'm wearing red okay. I've been doing it since he got hurt once months months. Right all right. I'll be watching not our read on sundays. Marshawn lynch no He should get. You shouldn't say mike silver we'll hook you up with connection on my last. Last question is just like a mount. Rushmore of holes are favors. Yeah like seven iconic seventeenth. Sawgrass no no who now is a jamaica. Winner is a gimmick whole. Yeah mickey mouse. It's beautiful bill. Like i would not put that up there That is so tough. And i haven't played enough golf to be honest. Twelve twelve at augusta is just pristine without. Won't call the name of it. Have a name right is this like purple dogwood szalay. Maybe no azaleas probably halloween. I think ten rivera is amazing. Okay agreed Is that your home track now. I never played there until College do you call golf courses tracks. No idea yeah just sound. Like i sound like i know more about way more often because you obviously do. What about the one with all the fans the waste management or waste at six sixteen. It's is like a mount rushmore of holes. I don't know no. I mean it's hard because of what redefining is a great hole like views or so. I'm going to leave it up. Those two guys we can just keep it up the imagination. You said the twelve thousand guests golden bell golden bell going bell. That's the one where jordan spieth had a tough time there. Yeah lots of people have had a tough time. Yeah not me. i'm never bowie didn't have you played. it probably never will not say probably get guaranteed wetter. Where some pants never. We'll play it shirt. Put one hundred percent guarantee on that one. Never playing it. You're gonna get invited one day. I got my red and black on a sunday. Of course record the other fifty course record for four days reply all right. We'll call and thank you man. This has been a lot of fun. Appreciate you stop by and We're rooting for good luck. In the thank you yes team usa. I wouldn't. I'm rooting for america. But i wouldn't be ro are we. Love america are hate bryson. I hate no if you guys lose fall better than us winning here here here. Here's all you hear is what i'll give you. Here's i'll give you. There's no team award for team. Usa or or the gulf individual. I'm representing team usa for you to be number one. "But oh i like that. One quite a bit of joy like trying new restaurants. Try new things at restaurants that kind of stuff or just ended up leading in a restaurant in general and wonder if that would have been an answer. Pre pre twenty twenty. It would have been a because it's still something that we don't do nearly often enough. That's something that i always enjoy like. We're making plans and there's no food involved i'm out. Oh you're funny. that's funny. Yeah i enjoy like. I've always been a longtime watcher of top chef and i laying dining at those restaurants. I am not a foodie by any means. But i like sein-. I ate at somebody's restaurant and eating food and i enjoy that. I enjoyed that to put that down eating. I like food. I am a live to eat person. Not an easy to live person. And i am married to an aids to live person and of all of the things you should talk about before you enter into a long term relationship with someone. I do believe that should be one of the things you should discuss right up there with. How are you going to handle finances. And what are your thoughts on the division of labor household and how do you feel about air conditioning fitting ideals sleeping temperature god so i have a question yes and i want to know. How much time do you aside or say for yourself in your calendar. Because i know your to do girl new block time off her like this. This is me time. I'm going to paint during this time. Or i'm gonna whatever do crafts or photography or whatever. Do you do that. I typically only do that when i'm doing it with another person. I'm really good about why. Try to be good about. If you and i make plans put it on the calendar. I put on the family calendar. So it's clear especially pre covid. We're going timori more. I put my monthly bunko on the calendar. Obviously hadn't been doing that in personally. Finally are doing outdoor bonko again and that everyone in my family knows mommy goes to bunko once month. I'm out and putting it on the family. Calendar feel makes it okay. Everybody knows it was. They're doing nobody else is gonna make plans and you guys are gonna make it work. My husband's really good about looking at family calendar but only make plans. He's aware when things are coming up. I'm less good about doing it for. I'm going to sit down and read for an hour or i'm going to carve out time to paint for myself. Yeah see. that's i think the problem is that we tend to push hobby time to spare time and honestly when do we have spare time Right or you're going to stay up late. That's your spare time you know. It's just not like as women. I was going to say as moms. But it's not just mom's as women or parents or full-time were key people or whatever it's hard to find spare time well and i think if you have spare time in your day and you haven't scheduled something that you'd like to do. It's very easy to look at that time and think. Oh well i could start another load of laundry. I could straighten up the kitchen. And i could get ahead on this other thing and if you haven't put something in that space i think for me it's harder to say. Oh i'm going to do something that's just for me right now And it's kind of daunting to think. Like oh i'm going to add one more thing to my to do list and you know it can be so. I think it's important to like schedule..

Just nobody ever paid me for it and it has a day job but i knew kind of i don't know every tall grass detail about climate change bradley. Everything that was being denounced as alarmism in the early nineteen eighties as just an existence. I mean got solar punk and we've got khleifi and all of those things but but they they don't seem to. They seem to have moved on right. Is there a thread is. Could you write cyberpunk about climate emergency. Yeah absolutely. I'm still writing cyberpunk about climate emergency in fact about to write a story events about post climate. Emergency rep. "With us now on the 15th Club Live line as our friend John Patrick from Augusta, Georgia. He's the morning co host of W G. A C radio in Augusta. He's the host of the Augusta Golf Show. Long time friend of Scotty's in mind. You know, when I look at your resume, my friend I wish we had a camera to show your beautiful face, John because You and I looked alike and we've had exactly the same amount of years in our career. I've been in the business 41 you've been. Have you been 41 years in the business to? Um who? Ha Yeah, maybe 40 Three this year and God cuts our hair and God cut If that's it rides, Let me ask you, my friend. You live in a wonderful town. That becomes electric one week out of the year. How strange was this spring to you, John and Howard Howard View and have your radio station been weathering the storm of the pandemic. All right. I'll start with the radio station. Honestly, we weathered it fairly. Well, we You know, we have nobody in the building for a couple of months. We operate in Four different studios every morning, So we still came in every day. The country folks did not do that Couple of them worked from home, but I feel kind of guilty, saying this. But we've had a wonderful June. As far as you know, This is inside baseball stuff. A wonderful June as Faras billing is concerned, they hope to do 100% of their July it. You feel kind of bad because everybody is a lot of people are struggling. But you know, fingers crossed and you know prayers, but it's it's been OK at the radio station. Well, John, it's Scotty. It's a fun time to get guest on your show. I mean, everybody's available right now. All of a sudden, so I know I've been watching some of the people that have Then on your golf showing a guest and it's been incredible. Well, you know, it's funny. You say that's gotta. Yes. You're right. Everybody, especially early on everybody was home. Everybody said yes. What I deeply appreciated for meat and every guest. Was there a great sports about talking about things other than golf? They were great sports about talking about what they were doing at home. Our word that they were spending the time. What you know what Netflix show they were. They were binging. I deeply appreciated that and I gotta tell you, Scotty. I thought they were really good shows. I don't know if it was because we weren't talking birdies and folkies. But you know it gave it gave folks it gave folks kind of a different insight into some of the guests, whether it was Annika or or Joe Baca. Whoever it might have been I I thoroughly enjoyed the programs. Well, John, let me ask you this Now we've got we move on to tug off a little bit. We've got the worst kept secret in golf is the fact that the Ryder Cup is about to be canceled, or at least move back for a year? How about the Masters? Would they ever play the Masters without Spectators? You know, it's funny that you you you phrased the question that way ahead. I'll answer your question. I don't think so. I, You know, Here's Here's what we hear as of today. No, no. No patrons for practice rounds and some patrons for tournament rounds. That's what we're currently hearing. You guys know that's what you do here. You hear things? Ah, but but but we've talked about this. On the morning show. It seems. It seems odd that they would hold a golf tournament with no patrons. I don't really know. I mean, I know why they do it, but I don't know why they do it. They're a great neighbor. You guys notice They're a wonderful neighbor. They do an awful lot for this community. With what they do with that golf tournament every year, and they felt really bad about not having the golf tournament in April. I mean, it's $100 million influx into this community. And if they hold the golf tournament without patrons You didn't do a whole lot for the community. Sure, a master's gets held in a green jacket gets awarded, but I don't know it's I've run hot and cold on this guy's through most of this. That it wasn't going to happen. When they announced the schedule and when they announced November I changed my tune a little bit. I thought it was purposeful that they would be the last of Ben. You know the last major toe happen. I wondered if they'd open the club at all. You know, they usually open mid October. I wondered if they'd open it at all. Or just wait until November. I'm now with spike and when you know with what happened on the PGA Tour, and where will Major league baseball go and so forth, and so on. I don't think it is. As for gun as a conclusion, as I did think, a month ago. John packages with us from WGBH Radio in Augusta. Also the Augusta Golf Show, John, Let me ask you I've never been to Augusta in November. What will the course look like? And what with the weather historically be like In November when their schedule play this year's Masters. Well, the weather is going to be a fee we for those of us who play golf in this town, it's our favorite month to play. It is the best month to play doesn't have to be there. Khun B. Cem 55 degree days and and some Chili Chili mornings, But we love playing in November the course if they hold true to form and we don't know as of now that they wouldn't If they try to play it on rye grass. It's pretty sketchy. You know, It's pretty sketchy in October and November and December. You know the old essence of that golf tournament is they plant the Rye. They nurture the ride. They They spend the winter time you know, cultivating it and then come April. It's beautiful in a beautiful in November, so it will play long. It'll play wet. Ah, and it could play cold. I I don't think I don't think that that's good news for Tiger Woods. And I don't think that's good news for the guys in the green jackets who want everything perfect. They don't want. They don't want anything to look bad on television for that tournament week. Would you not agree with that? I wholeheartedly agree with that Ondas we get, you know Here on July 4th. We don't know what August 4th will be like We don't know what September 4th will be like. But when they start getting close, and they start thinking, you know, we're only five months away from another master's. Let's just let's just wait until April. I I don't know. You know, I wonder how much They're looking at how the PGA comes off How India to the U. S. Open comes off. If if one of them goes down for some reason, I think they all D'oh. Yeah, down. I think you're probably right. And I think they they're like many college football teams in the NFL and such they probably have a contingency plan. To where they might have maybe 15,000 fans at the tournament instead of 75 or 80,000 like we're used to assume they're going to have some way of tamping it down a little bit to still be able to have people out there watching And give it at least a little bit of the normal atmosphere that is if they decide to play. I agree. I I wholeheartedly agree. I we'll just have to wait and see even here on the fourth of July. There's still so much unknown and where we move forward, you know, we've said this for the last four months. Weak, seem like once months seem like years, so we'll just we'll kind of have to see how it goes. Not John that weekend of Augusta in mid November. It helped me out. I believe that's the same weekend that Tennessee plays at Georgia in Athens and Notre Dame comes to Atlanta to play Georgia Tech. Is that correct? CORRECT? That's a colossal on a wonderful sports weekend of it all comes about And there's been rumors the college GameDay would emanate from Augusta if if that were the case, But again, those are rumors. If you know all of that, well, we've all talked about this. You know, All of this comes to fruition in the fall with all that sitting out there, whether it's the World Series, whether it's NHL playoffs, eh? NBA playoffs N BA Championship Series finals. It would be wonderful. I just don't know if it's gonna happen, guys. Well, we'll keep our fingers crossed because it would be a treat. And and really, I think helped the psyche of the country to have football tohave the masters and just think of having the Masters to times were then six months when that thing right? You know, I would love to see a fall masters. The golf course. The gulf. You know, everybody thinks about the azaleas in the springtime, but but the hardwoods on 11 guys They're beautiful. I've had the opportunity to play it in November, and it's It's a different kind of beautiful. I'm just hoping.

"How what kind of steps should I take to do this? Who THAT WAS GONNA Jim? Yeah how can I choose books? The how do I get? Some people and I will mention I. Actually this is all fresh in my mind because I just wrote a guide that will be available. That literally walks through all the steps that that Kinda hold your hand through it but what I do encourage parents to start with is kind of a vision for book club because that's really going to kind of affect things like one of my goals was friends for my seventh grade daughter so for me. I wanted to invite girls her age to club. This wasn't a families you know. Bring all the ages together which I think would be brilliant and I've seen people do that. But you Kinda need to know your goals. So who are you looking to include a few multi age kids to all come together? Are you looking for specifically friends for a certain age in your house? You know that Kinda thing and kind of have an idea. Is this GonNa meet once a month? You know that kind of stuff so that you can start extending some invitations and I would tell parents who made here feeling a little intimidated by it. You know. Just start with one or two other France. It doesn't have to be a group of ten immediately. It can just like minded. It can slowly grow along the way and once you have an idea of what you WanNa do and who might be involved. I started with two friends. And kinda plan with them and then we extended the invitation out to others so we had already picked titles. But when you're looking for books again oh my gosh. We're home schoolers. We know that there's just too much lurch than you could ever read in your lifetime but we used What was dictated by our curriculum? So that actually worked pretty simply for us that we for the most part were picking books that went with our curriculum. That year occasionally veered off for something fun like the hunger games or something to to really kick off with a great party at the start of the year but I've had friends who they picked like two titles for each month and they let the kids vote so the parents were having a little control but the kids also felt like they kind of had a little control so like if you want to read science fiction you know put out there to different science fiction books and let them vote on which one they wanted to read and they did that. That the kickoff meeting so there's lots of places that parents can find book title ideas. Ask Your Librarian. I mean you know. There's lots of great options out there to be able to pick your titles and then you're going to decide whether your friends you know. How often do you WANNA meet? Where do you WANNA meet? We rotated houses but I also included. Don't forget about like alternative locations. There were times we met on a picnic blanket outside of a museum and then we actually toured a museum that the display fit what we read about in the book. We one time just being honest all the MOMS were tired. Nobody really felt like planning and we met at starbucks over Frappuccino and the girls loved it so I think having that nice variety also helps but having kind of an idea. The beginning of mapping out at least who's in charge of each month then they can be thinking about their location is their month gets closer. Okay so what I'm hearing you say and what I want to just really emphasize for people is a party a celebration. That's more like a party. A couple of times a year is fun or even once a quarter is fun or God. Love you if you WANNA do it. Once months to it. It does not have to be that way every single month. And so You're you're probably not going to be able to maintain that amount of intensity and excitement every single month so those off months where you're just meeting at a coffee shop or even meeting at someone's House and having dinner or having dessert or you know whatever it is you want to do and just discussing the book that is more than enough and so when we're talking about doing a book club we're not talking about maintaining the same level of Celebration all the time. Absolutely you you'll find your own rhythm as you're going so yeah I think that's that's a great idea all right. So what about the mom? Who's like I love these ideas? But you know I got a I got a toddler here or a why you know. I have a bunch of kids and they. They go across a wide range of ages. Or you know. We're not getting out into doing book club. We kind of need to stay. A little more insulated. But I like the idea of doing some of this stuff in my morning time. So what suggestions do you have for the mom who wants to do this with her kids but worries it's too much to take on and she wants to keep it closer to home? Yeah I I think that is actually an excellent idea and morning. Time is a wonderful place to do it because for a lot of us. That's when we're reading a good read aloud book worse diving into literature with our kids in morning time super for me. We've actually done this in our morning time. We did this with Wednesday wars. Is I like to pull a little idea. Maybe once a week that celebrates the book in our morning time just as a family so for example in Wednesday. Wars Hauling Hood is his name. He has to dust the chalk. You know the older racers where you have to bang out and the chalk he bang out Machaca racers and he was doing it outside and the chalk dust went up and in the window the classroom and it sprinkled on top of all the these cream puffs that were laying their fresh out of the oven and so of course when they deliver on to the group. That's going to eat. The cream puffs their chalky. And they're nasty so what? I did mornings just the night before I went out to the bakery at the grocery store and I got some cream puffs and I put a little sprinkled sugar on them and the next day during morning time we enjoyed cream puffs with powdered sugar on them. Quote Unquote Chalk. Dust as we were reading book and it was simple when I put on the little tin from the bakery or from the grocery store I put Goldman's bakery instead. I just put a little sign on it and that was the bakery in the book so it was just a simple way to celebrate the book. We're reading in the morning. Have a fun time together. But it didn't have to be something huge an involved okay so when you first started telling this story which I think is a fabulous story and a wonderful thing to do. I was like you were like the night before. I'm like. Oh my gosh. She's going to tell me she's such may cream puffs. I love that I went out to the grocery one thing I don't do is bake sure there's people out there who bay cream puffs into a great absolutely but I would like to invite them to my book club. Yea We'll plan it is. They will the cream puffs but I you know I mean seriously. That's all it takes to go out and buy it's okay to buy the already may be and honestly the and that's what gave him the idea for the guides. The hard part I mean we have so many things going on. And as you know if you've got a toddler and a baby you there is not always the brain space to think ahead. Oh I should get cream puffs that will be really fun but if you have a guy that has all the ideas in it for you for the month you know all you have to do is look through like oh. I could handle these three this career. Yeah and then do one a week during your book club time. You're not book club your morning time. Yeah and so I could like my brain is erling here. I could see you know having like book club Fridays in morning. Time where you're going to whatever you read aloud as you're going to Do one of the activities from the guides. Because I'm all about getting the guides and not doing this stuff like making it up on my old. That's just too much work So thank you Mary. And and serving like one of the food items. Yes you know. There are so many food.

"You know you got the metal you just thinking back like you know from being that being the girl that was you know without kind of bullied into where you are now. How how how did that feel to you kind of come full circle a little bit. Honestly i still kind of little bit resentment to that because it's like i didn't ask for this like i was literally. Literally board with the disability spaghetti is like what it's fine like you make do with it like you're totally okay like you are a complete different person. You are now and i am so grateful for the person. I'd become everything that i've been through regardless how it started because yeah. It was kind of a crappy start but i mean to get where i'm at now is so rewarding up to be sitting here like yeah. I went to the olympic games. I competed in twenty sixty one goals to now be like i'm training for my second games and i were hoping to get bold. We kind of had a setback at this last championship sober and so we're like we have to can. I get geared start like really hardcore training again because it was a big turning point for us. We had just won gold at the games that we washed worlds and were two years out the next game so we're like well crap that we just got this goal like you want to hang onto it so bad because we technically right now we are the number one team in the world and sitting by law and so for us losing that game that tournament like we're so technically number one but that tournament was a big cost for us and so we are like no. We have to get grind to get there now because we don't want to lose like we don't we want that gold title because you know i all the time for my teammates sewer out <hes> from london who got sober coming back through appear olympic games gold medal. Everyone's like like you gotta go and they told me all the time and they got over there like oh. It's okay you played the game out so awesome shows like they're like. We never want to have that feeling of silver ever again because i have a teammate who who has been on the team since the women's team started back in two thousand four and she got bronze silver and so over and then finally a gold forever so i view there's light golder or nothing <hes> we're kind of we. We wanted the robot just saying like we have a standard that we gotta reach. We have this <hes> motto. We have our thing thing is like being the bar like since we set the bar. How do we make the bargo higher and so we've been it's been a big challenge for us. <hes> trying to overcome and do everything like step at a time raising up a little bit more like step by step like like kind of like trying to see what we could change like we could do to help our teammates because we're all so different we don't we don't train like most <hes> like olympians like you're hear about training <hes> we come in and train for like once month for a weekend and we all go back to where we're at except for six yes sixty miles who trained in oklahoma city full-time <hes> but everyone else wise in her weekend a month and we train altogether social gone on that and then so it is this is almost like a job for. And right after came apartheid opened up the individual brokerage account that each trade. Okay. And I'm I have automatic amount going into that account every month. It's not much a couple of hundred dollars. And my question is should I Dr eating your asset? Allocation, should I started that thing immediately? Or should I build up some before actually started debt? So is this going to be a is this an IRA account of some sorts, Andy? Was it? Okay. Yeah. I would I would probably what what do you have a going twice a month like every day or something? Now just once month a month. Okay. A couple of hundred dollars at a time. Yeah. Well, that's good. That's good. That's fine. Yeah. I would probably wait until. You know, like the end of the end of next month. You know, and I think. Then take a look, maybe maybe even the end of the quarter, which would be the end of June, and that would be probably better. And then take a look at my asset allocation model, so if you're going to use mutual funds, then you go look at the Timothy asset allocation model if you are putting money in every month, which you are then they then the. Occasion model were. Mutual funds like Timothy would work really well for you. So, but I would wait until the end of June first of all two reasons one because that are let your humiliate little bit. Secondly, it will that asset allocation model is changing. Probably in about two weeks that is going to change. So that'll that'll get you off on the right footing there and. What an motto or using how far you from retirement Cindy about fifteen years. Okay. So that's good. That'll be a great help to you. So. So let's wait a couple more. Let's wait to the end June. And then that asset allocation model be updated and you'll be ready to go. Oh, great. Thank you so much also wanted to tell you that I saw you when you were an olive branch fifty and your personal testimony was so inspiring to me. Thank you so much. You welcome. "The next technology. We're going to cover is splicing. We've talked about this one before too. And here's an update quote for now, increasing channels capacity or taking money on Shane requires closing channel and takes time. A new proposed features splicing originated from rusty Russell. Last October allows users to coordinate on chain transaction to add or remove funds from channel right now. Many lightening up wallets have both on chain off chain balances when spicing fully integrated users will be able to send on chain transactions from their off chain balances. Slicing also allows users to directly deposit into channel addresses. So it material improves routing efficiency in the network in addition to providing flexibility over expanding and contracting channel bounces. So Andrey's the sounds all pretty similar to what you were just talking about with amphibious seems like it's really another way to solve that kind of problem. This is probably one of the most powerful ends under appreciated features. I think even the article you just read downplays, it's doesn't. Really grasp the full impact. This has this is one of the big conundrums, which is if you want to use lightning you need to have funds off chain in the channels. Right. But then if you have them in the channels, and you wanna make bitcoin payments. You have to close those channels to make on chain payments. Right. So this off chain on chain this barrier where you have to keep jumping on and off the lightning network, and this is often uses of criticism of lightning because it misunderstands kind of the way I think we're gonna see most people use it, which is very different for wall, most perceive. So my theory is that the way we're gonna see lightning being used is people will have the vast majority of their funds on lightning all the time. And the only funds that are not online are the funds, you keeping cold-storage any wallet that you have that you want to do transactions where you you don't have to. Go to your secret volt place in restore from seed in pull it out of deep d-. Dusty cold, cold storage is on lightning all the time. And so then the question is how do you make this jump between on chain off chain? That's splicing comes. So spicing allows you to do is blend. The open channel close channel and unchain bitcoin outputs into a single transaction. Most people experience lightning today in the following workflow. They take funds that they have on the bitcoin blockchain. They then read a funding transaction on without funding transaction is takes Vic when you have in some of the wallets, and it sends it to a special two of two multi address, which is the channel channel is to Tumelty between you and the other node right where you fund part of that. And they may be on the other part of that. Now, you have channel between you, which is this too. Tumelty say allows you to move money back and forth between you you do whatever you want on your lightning updating balances back and forth between the two of you men when you both want to use that money on the bitcoin blockchain again, theoretically, you close the channel and the way you close the channel is you spend the two of two multi say back to your bitcoin wallet. That makes sense so far. Now, of course, if you think that's how lightning is going to work will dot stupid. If I need to open a channel, even if I don't need to open a channel for every person, I'm transacting 'cause I'm routing, but finding to open a channel to create the start to start using lightning. But then if I want to get my Quinn back I have to close the channel. Then I'm going to have to do this opening and closing channel. Not too infrequently. Maybe I'm opening and closing channels once a week or once a month. And then if everybody needs to open and close channels once a week once month, there's not enough capacity on the bitcoin blockchain to do that. That's the wrong way of looking at it. Because you're not going to be doing that you're going to instead create a channel every time. You do a bitcoin transaction. There's no reason to take the change and put it back into an on chain wallets. Instead, you fund channels every time you do a bitcoin transaction, and you can do a bitcoin on chain transaction every time you rebalance close or open a channel and combined all of those functions. So single transaction can have as imports the multi sake of closing channel as its outputs the multi sake of an opening channel and on chain bitcoin transaction, so you can basically splice bitcoin into a channel splice bitcoin from channel out onto the bitcoin blockchain and similar any open and close channels in the same transaction. Okay. So this allows you to open a channel close a chance. And do on chain transactions. Whether or not they're going to the lightning network, whether or not yes, this allows you to send bitcoin into a channel or inte- lightning. Send bitcoin from lightning out onto the bitcoin network to a bitcoin address makeup on chain bitcoin payments traditional on chain, bitcoin payments, close the channel and open channel all four things in one transaction symbol taniwha. So for example, what you might be doing is closing channel. That's unbalanced opening a new channel, that's better balanced and making payments to a bitcoin address in a single transaction. Your wallet is using the opportunity because you told that you wanna pay a bitcoin address. It's using the opportunity of that transaction where you're going to be too close an open a channel in order to rebalance your channels or when you receive payments. It's using. The opportunity to send up payments into a channel and close another channel in real. But another channel in order to rebalance things into every bitcoin transaction not lightning transaction every bitcoin transaction in which you're paying a fee becomes an opportunity to also open or close or open an close several channels and make other bitcoin payments. So this takes something where right now the function is spread out into a bunch of unique things that you need to do where each thing is in action. And instead it takes makes so you can do kind of a collection of actions is it is there a limit to the amount you can do within a single transaction or as the idea here just that users will be making transactions periodically. And so this is the way to piggyback on existing traffic rather than adding an entirely new bingo got up. There's no reason why why you would not when closing channel also opened another channel or may be close to channels open one thereby moving money on chain. But also rebalancing whenever you have an opportunity to pay a fee, adding more inputs more outputs the transaction less expensive than doing separate transaction right significantly less expensive, especially with with segues in other capabilities that are optimizing the use of the space in the transaction. So splicing allows you now to minimize the number of transactions. Issue do on chain. And every time you do a transaction on chain for whatever reason to piggyback a lightning open or close channel on that transaction or is it of it. The other way every time you open and close the lightning channel to piggyback on chain payments to one of your other wallets on that transaction an force. What that means is that then your wallet does all of this automatically if designs depending on who you wanna pay in whether they can be reached on chain or off chain to constructor transaction and piggyback as many open close channels as it needs to do rebalancing, another housekeeping duties and minimize your fees by batching all of that stuff together. All of these things you're getting the picture of how it's gonna make it just easier to use faster and more efficient without necessarily like

"What you consider to be the big one. So this is one managers this case. What did we learn his money and see? Okay. Where can I rotate where can I put my players, but the truth is for the city, even when you rotate you still have a very good team out on the field. That's you know, the billions that we're talking about early. That's when it helps to have pets going to earn his money this weekend when they've played Newport count massive game. You know, Gabrielle his stop moaning guero stand in front of him in Sunday's don't and so on and so forth, and it seems that those great dealer, togetherness and. Yeah. In four. Full competitions the reason is because of his rotation beautifully. Don't buy surely history does show that it's tough, isn't it to win the Champions League in the league title alone. A couple of cups thrown into the mix too. That's right. But that doesn't mean he's not gonna profit to rise something because you win at some point. Like, the boy said he would rotate he's focused him would always be in the league. And then the Trump is dig, and then he would rotate for the domestic cups and Don brings success or no. And I don't think he would have any regrets. Would it would've wanted to lose games in the domestic Cavs? But but the poverty he's and we'd always be even more of the chimpanzee. "Triple and that is the nine five area code requesting. The beach boys with wouldn't it be nice? We're talking about TV reboots, and we're gonna get into remakes of movies and things like that. We'd like to get to the good stuff because we had. Stephen blouse gone. A little earlier a great actor who stars in in a one day at a time the fantastic reboot that season three is beginning a Netflix tomorrow. So we've been going through some of the reboot stuff. And if we wanna if you wanna jump in its three one two nine eight one seven two hundred for talk and text v. Came back two thousand nine to two thousand eleven on ABC. I did not watch the reboot. Avi. Did you Dan I did not? Now, the original the original v. I definitely watched. There is no question about it. I watched that. And one of the things I remember about one of the things remember, I've talked I've talked about this before one of the things I remember about this associated with the original show v. Is the advertising campaign that they did because it was really unusual at that time. Now, it's not. But I remember, you know, taking the L standing on the platform, and you know, obviously, they have posters and advertisements all over the L. And they just had a poster with no is black poster with what appeared to be like red spray paint that said just the letter v. Which eventually was look the obviously the logo of the TV show. But no other explanation. And I looked at it. And I was like what is that? And so it was really it really did grab your attention because that kind of advertising it really never been done before. Now, it's all over the, you know, it's the teaser. What is this thing kind of advertising is very popular technique but back in the early eighties. It wasn't. They never did that kind of stuff. So I was very intrigued. And I ended up watching it and liking it. I thought he was pretty cool. I thought it was pretty cool. Then the reboot. I didn't. I didn't watch that anybody wants the reboot three one to nine hundred seventy one hundred because the original v was very pop sensation. That was a really really popular show. And the ideas in v are enticing. It's too bad that they're floating around in a show that at this early stages so slapdash and formulaic in its storytelling. Mike HALE in the New York Times talking about the reboot. The X files reboot that came back in two thousand sixteen. The the score of the reboot for the critics was pretty high seventy two percent. The reboot of the X files, which is interesting because the critic score of the original seventy four percent. So there's only a two percent difference between what the critics thought of the reboot of the X files and what they thought of the original now. I was one of those. I was one of those dorks in the nineties that. I watched X files all the time. I loved the X files. It got you know. As the as the years went by. It was on too long. They kept it on too long. I think FOX stepping on too long. I stopped watching. I think with like. Like, two seasons left. I stopped watching it because it ran until two thousand and one started in ninety three and it ran till two thousand one and I it well, actually when you're when you're. You know when you're stars leave? That's a. That's a red flag. And I was disappointed with the reboot. I have to be honest. I really was. I mean, I watched it. But it wasn't nearly wasn't nearly as creative or creepy or fun or funny as the. As the original. I'll tell you what I did like that. No one else on the planet. Light was the second X files movie the first ex-felons movie. Everybody liked the first X files. Of course, it was terrific. The first textiles movie was great. But I in the second one, I thought was a terrible idea came out. I think it came out like fourteen years after it came out it came out like at least ten years after the the original series or whatever. That it ended. And I thought it was or you know, when the movie came out, whatever I it just came out of the time when it was like, what are you? What are you? Why are you making x files movie now, and it was called X files? I want to believe and that title was dumb. And so everything about it beforehand. I was like oh, man. This is gonna suck. And I really liked it. And I believe I'm the only person that. The only person that really liked it. I thought the X files. I want to believe it was terrific. I got I thought it was great. One of the things that works. But one of the things that we're one of the many things that worked about that show that made it so great was that the the chemistry between Gillian Anderson with the company they were fantastic together on that show. They were modern skelly or two of my favorite one of my favorite duos in TV in Devi history. They had such great chemistry. They worked. So. Well, together, they had a great rhythm to their dialogue. There was that real underlying hilarious sense of humor in their dialogue. And how they would judge each other in different ways and just it was very snappy, Nick and Nora kind of stuff. Yeah. That I show a special. I think the original run of the X files is pretty specialist. I like four or five seasons that show spectacular. And I was a dork. Dan, I was such a dork. I'd be on Friday nights. And I'd be like, I'm not going anywhere. You know, what if I was doing a play? I'd be mad. I would tape it. I'd be mad that I wasn't watching it as it was happening. At show that show ruled that was I mean ruled. And here's what Ben Travers said about about the reboot. After just one episode of the upcoming six X files. Feels like a faded relic barely clinging to what may what's made? It once months made it great. Kind of agree with that. I kind of agree with it. You know, who I bonded with an X files geeky here Kristof Flora's because right around when the reboot was coming out. I don't know how the topic came up. I know, you know, what was I posted on Facebook that I was really excited about the X files coming back, and and she saw that. And then we ended up having like a ridiculous conversation about. About the. So. Yeah. Yeah. It was disappointing. The report was disappointing. I have to agree with the critic. Now, here's another reboot that I thought was disappointing like really disappointing. But it got a pretty high critic score of seventy five percent. And that's the the net flicks reboot of arrested development. That's another one that I was like ridiculously excited about 'cause that show was only on for what three seasons like it was on for two thousand five to two thousand two thousand three to two thousand five. Yeah. So that's three seasons. Right. Nick McCarthy from slant says about the reboot of arrested development. They're still a plethora of fresh. Hominem friendly wordplay surprising parallels and Woody allusions to delight to preoccupy us with a series. And it pulls off its next magic trick. So people liked it. I don't know. I was disappointed. Yeah. That was one of the one of the many shows that FOX screwed up. Why would you why would you get rid of? I mean, I guess the ratings weren't through the roof, but they were known FOX had had a pretty good reputation for getting rid of shows when they shouldn't have. Wonder falls being being way up there on the list? That was such a great show such a great show. Okay. I got I have to admit this. The next one here is Dallas. I thought the Dallas reboot was great. And I didn't even like the original Dallas. I don't know why I have no idea. Why I watch the reboot ritual? Dallas. I watched a few episodes of because my mom, my mom was like I said, she loved dynasty. She loved falcon crest. She liked Colby's. All of that all the hour long. Nighttime soap operas that were on. She. She liked dynasty was her that was her deal that was her jam was dynasty. But she watched AL's as well. And you, you know, there were certain because Dallas was such a big show that just. You know, by in terms of what it did to hop, culture and everything. Eventually you were going to watch Dallas that was just inevitable inevitably. If you even if you weren't interested in you're you're gonna watch it because everybody was watching it. And then of course, the who shot JR thing was just so I mean was ridiculous. So everybody was watching it. But I never it was never a big fan of it. I watched it 'cause it was on. I watched it because I didn't you know, I wanted to be pop culture savvy, and I was intrigued by the whole who shot JR thing. But for some reason, I watched I from the beginning. I watched the reboot of Dallas. And I thought I thought it was I thought it was I thought it was terrific. The plot is thin. The acting is what you'd expect is from paste magazine is what they said what does that mean? The acting is what you'd expect. Well, probably because it was all pretty boys and pretty girls. That's probably what it was. You know, who's on that show that I love and I can't remember her name. She's in the Giordani Brewster. I love her. I think she's great from fast and furious and all that other stuff, I think she's great. And I loved her on that show. I actually thought I thought that show was fun. It was goofy as hell, but totally it, you know, it it had it had a very self richer, preferential sense of humor, and it knew it was goofy. And so what embrace that? And I that's what I liked about. It. Star Trek discovery, which is on CBS all access. People like it people are enjoying it. I don't have CBS all access people are like how is it that you don't have CBS all access and you're obsessed with big brother. Gap. I know embarrassing I should have CBS all excess. What kind of big brother phantom? I what kind of superfan of big, brother. Am I? Speaking of big brother Gallagher made a guest appearance on the last episode. If that if that doesn't entice you to watch the show Gallagher smash watermelons and stuff. Get look he's all gray. Now. Like is. He still got the long, you know, he had the hat on. But he's he's still got the long hair all grey. Of all the of all the house guests because he he put on a performance for the house guests, and they had to watch it very closely for details because they were going to be quizzed on these details during Gallagher's per performance and whoever gets the most questions right would win the power of veto veto competition on the show. And so of all the houseguests that were sitting there watching Gallagher like up front, they're wearing goggles..
