"Now look, there is a lot going on in the world of politics. And I've got to play some audio. Do we have this ready to go from Oklahoma? All right, so this is, you know, when you're giving a speech. And grace baker, you know this, you've seen me deliver a couple of stem winders, and you're up there. And you're in the moment, and you're just going to town. Yes. And you got to be careful. Can't get carried away now. There was one time where I gave a speech, and the crowd was just, man, they were on fire. They were standing up there. Just like that. Okay. And like 9 or ten stating ovations in the course of a 20 minute speech. It was one of my favorite speeches. But I realized about midway through, I think we're starting a militia. It was that kind of fervor. So what you have to do as a speaker is kind of you're taking people on a journey as kind of an emotional ride. And so you got to know when to kind of back off. Slow it down. And then shuck it to the cop. Oh. Okay. It's a saying. The people in Arkansas taught me that. That means there's nothing less just leave it all out there. That's pretty good. So anyway, there is a guy running for Congress out in Oklahoma. His name is John Bennett. He is the chairman of the Oklahoma Republican Party. And he had some things to say about doctor Anthony Fauci during a speech the other day. We're fighting communist Democrats, establishment rhinos. All right. We're fighting against a system that stole the election in 2020. And nobody's been held accountable. That's right. Great. We're in a war with bureaucrats that have forced vaccine mandates on us, mask mandates on us. And you know what? They're pushing this wokeness confusion down our throats now. And by the way, we should try Anthony Fauci and put him in front of a firing squad. Wait, wait, what? Well, for the sacred service, if they're listening, probably. I'm not advocating. We kill Anthony Fauci. Until he's convicted of his crimes through a court. We're fighting communist Democrats. Well, that sort of escalated quickly, did it not. So anyway, they don't tell us where he was speaking, but it looks like a church. There's a Bible verse and a cross on the back wall. So there's some indication. But anyway, this is sort of making the rounds. This came out a couple of hours ago. And mister Bennett is not backing down. He says that doctor Anthony Fauci needs to be arrested. He needs to be charged with some sort of a crime that carries the death penalty, and then he needs to be put in front of a firing squad. And seems like the crowd was pretty into this. Bennett is running in a very crowded primary field. They're in Oklahoma, which by the way is the reddest state of all the states and the only state where every county went for Donald Trump in both presidential elections. So this is deep red Trump country and this guy says, let's put Fauci in front of a firing squad. What say you America to that? 8 four four 747 88 68. That is our toll free telephone number. So Doctor Oz, you know what? I'm going to take a break. When we get back, I want to talk about Doctor Oz, he is, he had a big debate last night, and man did he get smacked around by the other Republicans. I mean, it was brutal. Also, new polling data out from Georgia. And you folks that listen to us in Georgia. We had a very long conversation yesterday about David perdue and Brian Kemp. Now there's a new survey out and it's not looking good for David perdue. His numbers are still down, Herschel Walker is blazing a path to victory over 60% of the voters in Georgia support Herschel Walker, but Purdue folks are in a world of trouble right now. And what is it going to take to swing things back around and produce favor? 8 four four 747 88 68. This is the Todd stern show. From the front lines of the culture war, it's Todd starnes. In November of 2020, the Democrats are up to no good. They were planning to pull off the greatest scheme of election fraud never before seen. They didn't think we would catch them, but we did. Find out what they did and how they did it in the new documentary film called 2000 mules, directed and narrated by renowned filmmaker dinesh d'souza and executive produced by Salem media group with research from true the vote dot.

"Will you know the more extreme groups like al qaeda and the taliban and let's make no mistake about it. You know when we look at things in very black and white terms like oh. It's you know. The west verse. Terrorists are what whatnot nurses bad. Good versus bad. That's really where we have problems. And that's what lewis call a spate of spayed and and i have when it comes to this particular subject. I have no shame insane. I mean look at the current chair of the oklahoma republican party. right john. Bennett has a history of attacking muslims in the state and he has gone onto the deals. At least on the official oklahoma republican party page attack. Refugees am basically insinuating that they're violent people that they're associated with terrorists and things like that but the truth of the matter is when you look at reports not from me not from some random muslim but when you look at united nations reports you can see that when it comes to groups like the taliban isis al qaeda groups that are textbook extremist groups no different than the kkk right which is a textbook extremist group here in the united states. Muslims are just as much victims if not more victims of these extremist groups than anyone else right isis. Actually you know use that. As an example they gain notoriety by executing the journalists on tv and that was of course you know incredibly tragic sad and and there is no excuse for that you know horrific act that they did but a lot of people overlook the fact that like ninety five percent of their victims are muslims that refused to support their efforts that refuse to help them in their extreme actions. And things like that. So i think that is the issue. People are overlooking this and then on top of that one thing that really bothers me is not just the notion that people are ignoring that. These refugees helped our own government right in fighting against extremism and trying to establish stability. But look even what john bennett said. You know as head of the republican party is that there is no way that you can properly vet these refugees. Well what he what concerns me is what he's saying is not that he can't vet he's basically saying you can't trust our government right and that's a me as a bigger problem. I'm afraid that we're getting into this. You know conversation where we're saying we can't trust the refugees but we also can't trust our governments and that's that to me. Is you know un-american. I think that gets to the heart of. I'm like eventually gonna be able to articulate really bothers me about this one hand it's a failure president biden but on the other these afghans are people. That should not be here. Right you know and it's just You know we are unsafe. Because of the way he pulled out of afghanistan But oh wait a minute. Those people don't make us safe either You know it's just this incredible Well no one is surprised at the hypocrisy anymore. Right in no a surprise via. I mean this is just this is just stock in trade of what they do But i just. I wonder like you know. I don't know i don't ask you to speak for them but do they. do. They really know what i i do. Worry i worry about You know the their safety. And i worry about.

"1000. Katie Okay, eight for all. 1000. Leigh Matthews ok dot com at some lively conversation about the convention last night and What everybody thought about the convention, the Republican convention. I mean, I saw more energy in the Republican convention in 10 minutes that I saw all week with the Democrat Convention. And you know it is not because I leaned to the right I look at them both objectively, at least try to look at them both objectively, although I end up agreeing with Republicans more than Democrats, But still when I look at an election, and I look at what it takes to win an election, you have to give somebody something to vote. Four. That's how Obama got elected in the first place. Obama was going around, saying hope and change. Those are two things to vote for. What was John McCain? Ah, ah, more of the same more of the same or the same, And that's not something to vote for. The same with what's his face who came along. And and it was the same thing. He did not give us anything to vote for because they were too busy worrying about beating up on a black guy. You have to give the people something to vote for, and the Democrats haven't done it. Stephanie vice winner of the of the run off She will now go on to take on Kendra Horn, and we will get her strategy coming up in about 20 minutes here on NewsRadio in 1000. Katie. Okay for a 1000 Leigh Matthews, Katie okay dot com to join the in the conversation. That's my email. That's my phone number, and I'm on social media as well. Cindy is calling from El Reno. Thank you for hanging on. Yes, sir. I want to ask your opinion on millennia as a speech last night. I thought it was great, but she is an immigrant. And I do believe she's Russian immigrant Croatian Yes. You're right relation. Yeah. Yes, but I was wondering why everybody on their left side wants to make so much. Criticism on her when she's gone through this process to be an immigrant here, and so has some of the other people have done that. The left has gotten so backwards, Cindy that unless she snuck in illegally, I don't think they will give her any credit anyway. The other reason they don't give her any credit is because she's beautiful. She's up. She's a babe. Okay. And then the third reason is that she's a babe, and she's not married to Donald Trump. So that's that's the whole problem. Right? Then they would take her more seriously if she wasn't married to Donald Trump, but because she's married to Donald Trump, it's Oh, I don't know. I just got she's She's an idiot. The same thing with Sarah Palin. Remember how they pounced upon Sarah Palin because she was pretty It was the first reason the second reason was because, well, she's a Republican. You can be a pretty Republican. At least in the eyes of the left. You cannot eight for 1000 Leigh Matthews, Katie okay dot com, chairman of the Oklahoma Republican Party, said last night. The GOP exposed for a victorious November in the state and national levels now that the primary run offs have concluded, and the presidential contest is set David McLean, who is the head of the Republican National Committee, said he could not be more excited about the Republican ticket nationally and in Oklahoma. The delegates to the Republican National Convention of formally nominated president Trump and vice president Pence to a second term and the overall contrast between the president and Joe Biden is beyond measure. He's also very enthusiastic about the Oklahoma Republican ticket. Led by our outstanding U. S. Senator Jim Inhofe, Senator Inhofe has distinguished record of representing the conservative values of Oklahomans. And Stephanie vice, he says, is a fantastic leader, a true Oklahoma conservative and a candidate who will defeat Kendra Horn in November..

"NewsRadio. 1080 Okay about 30 minutes will be joined by Stephanie Vice. No, she's not taking a victory lap because she's got too much work to do. She's going to be taken on Kendra Horn and a massive Democrat political machine. What is she going to do? And how she going to do it shall line it out for us a little bit here on news radio 1000 Katie. OK, rowdy, joining us from sparks. Thanks for hanging on. Hey, latest young sport, but I can't have overstepped my area. Well, I'm driving along in my trump shirt, my trumpet and I got my front man. I bet you can get some good sport. Ah Hillary Clinton. Yeah, I like that because I was watching it and I can't wait to see the speech is over. They break away and start telling me everything they said. That was wrong and I should have done you shouldn't have rains and uniforms. Maybe has so biased against Trump in people who can't see that I ask people have friends because I'm a union. Rep. And I said up. Just tell me one thing the Democrats have done for us, and I said, I'll wait. And usually they get mad on block of free Facebook account. And, you know, I'm not. I'm not even asking to tell something that they've done. I know they haven't been in power, so they haven't been able to do a lot, And in fact they actually all they really could do is block a lot of legislation, which they successfully did and I hand that to them because of our On the other end of that camel. I'd probably do the same thing. But what do you want to do when you get the office? That's my big gripe. Nobody is giving me a reason to vote for Democrats other than well, We're not Trump And that's not a reason. The Demon Globe and Trump. Is that make it better? Yeah, we've got an angry old white guy. We're running over here we got Ah, we got ah, chick, too, But she's so liberal. You don't even You burst into flames. You stand too close to her that I wear. I probably where my Trump's people said it might supported by. Trump's know I'm supporting Trump. Yeah. Yeah, well, so do And you know what I've said this before. I'm not sure if there had been presidents we've had hell. Bill Clinton if he lived next door to me, and probably like the guy because he's a likeable guy. George W. I know I did like that guy because he's just a regular guy. Jimmy Carter. I don't know that I could. I would have liked Jimmy Carter because he's so pious. It's as though he's a marble statue, not a really person. Ronald Reagan definitely would have liked that guy. Obama. Maybe you seemed a little intellectual for May. And Trump. Personally, I don't know that I'd get along with the guy because I've seen how he works, and I've seen how he runs his businesses. It's not the type of work environment I would enjoy. I have worked in that environment before. When I was young and wanted to set the world on fire. I enjoyed being around people like Trump, who are always ready to do something new and interesting and fun. Now that I'm older, I'm like, all right, quit talking in circles and give me a minute to do what you told me to do yesterday before you give me another project That's one at now. And Trump is that type of guy. Forget what I said yesterday do this now and you have to stop what you're doing, scrap everything and move on, and I really hate working under that type of atmosphere, so I don't know that I would like working for the president. I don't know that I would like being around him because it does talk in circles and angel bit hyperactive, and he's hard to focus sometimes. But I enjoy. I like I support His conservative principles. The fact that he is willing to get down and scrap with he has Democrats so scared. Doing anything but criticizing him personally. Because they know he will kick their took asses. So that's why they attack him on all this other Bravo, Sierra. They can't hit him with the facts because he's got the fax on his side. So that's why I support Trump. And that's why I support the president. But but this notion that OK, well, if you're going to be a Republican, you've got to support it through and throw our you're not true Republican? No, I'm a thinking human being. I don't agree with every single thing my candidate does. And I shouldn't because then you are not a thinking human being. Speaking of which, for a 1000 Leigh Matthews, Katie okay dot com. If you ar e thinking human being and want to join in the conversation with some or the chairman of the Oklahoma Republican Party is glowing at the bys victory. I'll get into that. "An American tourist kidnapped in Uganda has been released Michael Bauer with twenty four seven news in Washington DC was this a release or was the say rescue release at this point? The captors did release unharmed return on harmed Fifty-six-year-old Kim's, southern California. And and her tour guide who had both been partaking in five days earlier as sunset safari. She Kim's to Endicott herself. A businesswoman out of southern California hasn't been wanting to go on a safari finally got the ability to do so was on sunset safari in Uganda. When she the tour guide and two other elderly Canadian couple when they were all out in got stopped by gunman while they were in the Queen Elizabeth national park in Uganda. They were stopped the gunman released the elderly couple sent them off. But then took Kim Soo Endicott and her tour guide and held them hostage for five days as soon as they got them separated. She they pulled the cell phone from the woman kittens Kim's Endicott called Ugandan officials until they were looking for five hundred thousand dollars in regards to the return Ugandan officials similar to the US don't negotiate when it comes to terrorists or people holding others hostage. They don't wanna pay a ransom and then have more money. So that those same people can go back and sees more people. So they said the US also said, no, they weren't going to pay that money, but the third time's a charm here. Right. So you actually had according to what we're hearing today, the safari company the group, the this these people were traveling with called wild frontiers. They fronted the ransom now it's unclear if it was the full five hundred thousand dollar ransom, or if it was less they came to some sort of negotiation. Also, right now seems to be unclear who the kidnappers are seems that this deal was all sort of done under the table if you will without thirties knowledge of or ability to to trace these individuals who is getting the money this company making the payment and us last night yesterday afternoon, our time you saw this woman get back to camp without any problems healthy safe as well as her safari guide, also healthy and safe. And at least at this point. No indication as to who it wasn't it on the kidnapping, so. Did they didn't have to go to a hospital for observation or no bruising, or or torture is apparent? They said there was none of that. They were indicating that they were held captive at gunpoint. But that was really the extent of what happened to them over the five day time frame. It does seem according to you on officials of this was all about looking to get that ransom money that was all came down to suicide and extended again, if the safari company wasn't the group that pay that off then it would seem as though I mean, listen, I I'm I'm shocked as anybody that this actually went down this way that you didn't end up with a couple of dead bodies that were tossed out by this group of terrorists on some level. But you're seeing this happening in in such a way that this woman was safe sound as was the tour guide. No issues whatsoever. At least, according to reports, you I'm sure that they probably had somebody looking at them on a health level to make sure they were. Okay. But no indication that they had to be rushed any kind of hospital with any apparent issues. I wonder if this will be detrimental to this tour company because I mean, first of all I don't want. Want to go to the dark continent at all? There's too much instability over there. But there are a lot of people who do and pay lots of money to go and do it. I'm wondering if this this tourism industry is going to be hurt because of this because they're from now on it seems to me they're going to be targets because they've they've they've clearly decided to say, yeah, we'll pay. Sure. And that's the message coming from our secretary of state my pump saying, okay, listen now that this has happened. These people think that they can seize more people get more money, and and even right there forget, you know, in other portions of the globe. But certainly right there with that group in in its specific will be able to now feel like they they feel like they got what they wanted. They can get more. If they have more people that can get more money, and and so on and so forth, and that begins that process of just the business of kidnapping if you will. So that's got to be a concern going forward here. And I would imagine people who were thinking about going to safari on some level would have to consider that. I know for personally, my wife has been wanting since she was a little girl to go on safari have been the one fighting. And now I've got a hold on a second look at what's happening here. If we go clearly the. The only way we're going to be able to go if we're twenty years older than the person on the on the same tours uh. So that they get kidnapped. We can get sent back. But that's the only way that it looks like a safe bet for us. Well, I don't want to go anywhere where you have to have a typhoid shot. I. Thank you, exactly. So what is next now will she get to come home? Will she be debriefed by the department of state? Do we know? This point unclear. I imagine there's going to be some debris thing I'm not sure they'd sounded like she was able to go about her continued vacation if you will. Although if it were me, I couldn't wait to get back home to the home, and certainly my own country. That said, I imagine that's probably next line. And then from there, it's sort of the investigative process. You know, they're going to try to find out and Uganda. Okay. Was this the safari company that paid off the doctors how much was it where did that money? Go. Can we trace these people can we find out who these individuals who did the kidnapping were? They a part of a bigger group all those kinds of things. Uganda clearly stating here, and they wanna make this as clear as possible they're saying that this is a one off that this doesn't happen usually in Uganda that for all intents and purposes, this was an unprecedented element. They went back incited nineteen ninety nine some twenty years ago was the last time that he's similar incident happened in that had more to do with the rebels coming from the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. But they have one point four million tourists, according to their own numbers every single year. Visit Uganda and they have not. Run into a situation like this for twenty years. Well, I understand I understand that still the possibility exists. Thank you like our from twenty four seven news on NewsRadio one thousand K T. Okay. And Beth Myers. We know a little more about why this woman did what she did. That's right, and she's facing charges. Now in Cleveland county. I'm Beth Myers, and the NewsRadio one thousand K T O K news center, we are talking about that. Norman more women who surrendered Friday to Norman police in connection with those racist. "Newsradio one thousand Casey, okay? Faulkner. Sixty one degrees on this Sunday evening here with me in studio. Oklahoma state auditor and inspector Jerry Jones says starting tomorrow, he has seven more days being a state wide elected official, and we're just looking back at his career. And we've always had several things going at once if I can say that you have a cattle ranch in cash, and but you I was looking at this. You went to night school while you were doing some other things, and then you were studying for the CPA exam, and you were the large the let me say Oklahoma Republican party chairman in two thousand and three and is distinguished as the longest serving chairman and executive director in the history of the state party. You know, it's in two thousand three the the state was was House Democrats were at control the house and the Senate, and I think we had to state wide elected officials, and I was looking at the map and when I came in. I said that we would never be the majority party in Oklahoma until we make gains in rural Oklahoma. And and so a map the other day that shows that state Senate seats, the Democrats sold state Senate seats in Oklahoma City and Tulsa areas, and I think Norman, but that's it. The rest of the state is is all Republican and how did that happen? How did we flip to a red state? Well, I think that what we went out and did as we talked about what we had in common. And what what values we we held in common with the people in rural Oklahoma, and I think nationally. A nationally. The rural areas were pretty much Republican the metro areas were more democrat and Oklahoma's finally starting to line up like that. And but you get out into the suburbs. The suburbs are traditionally more more Republican. And that's where we are today. We're so when you think about your run for governor, what percentage of the vote or how many votes did you get? I I got something like twenty five thousand votes. I was I was out of ten people. I was I think I was v ten Republican primary, and it's it's tough to get a message out if you don't have the resources, and and we didn't that we did. I think we did change the the narrative out there talking about what what Oklahoma's cared about and talk about the issues, and and subsequently because of that I think that maybe it's gonna change the future. What direction do you think the state is going to go in next? Well, I think that that last year we we took made some of the tough decisions to do some things necessary to get teachers to pay raise, and maybe stabilize or our revenues little more. After years and years of cutting. And so I think that what Oklahoma said what people cross the country of says, they want something done. They they they're tired of you know, people just talking on accomplishing things. And I think that's that what they're expecting from governor stat. I I will tell you that I'm encouraged by the some of the people that he's bringing on board. I think he's really looking for the best talent out there. And I think that's that's number one trying to accomplish something. What about the fact that many of these people will not draw a salary? Well, I think traditionally a lot of this cabinet people did not draw salaries. A lot of the secretaries in different ones. You know, it's it, you know, what we did a lot of times we made them into directors and gave him salaries, and and they started serving as directors and as cabinet secretaries as well. But I think there's there has been a history in the past of people serving in cabinet positions without salaries, and I think that that looks like demolished going back to and so he says he's going to do things new he's bringing in new people any ideas what? I think I've heard some of the names that they've they've they've announced I think I think those are those are good hires. And I think that. It appears they're doing a lot of research and doing their homework, and they're not just naming people because they helped on the campaign or contributed. And I think that's a good thing. So it's. Like when I came into office. I said the best thing to do is is higher. If he can hire the best people and put them in the right positions. And they know what they're doing then your jobs easy. And so I'm hoping that that's what he's doing. Because I think I think in many cases, it appears to be, but one of the things I've noticed about term limits, and this is going to be so interesting, isn't it like seventy five percent of the people at twenty nine Lincoln have no idea. They don't really think they have like four years experience or less or less, right. And so they have no idea I understand they're even getting rid of many of the administrative assistance that were there before and all that. So we're going to have all kinds of new fresh faces out there. That's one thing that people need to be really leery of is the fact that that there are a lot of good people out there that have institutional knowledge and know what they're doing. That's why I said, I'm I'm very proud of the fact when I came in that we didn't Claire house. I mean, what they were telling people is that he try to encourage employees to go out and campaign. Against me was that. Here's this Republican coming in. You know, it was chairman of the Republican party. He's gonna fire or the Democrats are bringing Republicans are entire transition consisted of two people may and I replaced a democrat. And I brought a guy out of retirement has worked for the office for twenty five years. Five years is deputy knew more about government auditing, the state of Oklahoma that anybody so he was a democrat he replaced Republican and of of my hundred hundred fourteen employees. I couldn't tell you the registration of five of them. And I don't care. I want capable competent people that'll be public service work work than says, Oklahoma. I agreed. So you consider yourself a person who works across the aisle as they say people thought that I'd be the most partisan person decapa when I came in. I'm probably the least partisan. I I have Democrats and Republicans come to me asking asking advice, and and you know, speaking to me, and and that's the way it should be. I'm not just you know, elected to represent the Republicans. I was elected to represent all the citizens of Oklahoma. Not just the ones who voted for me. Well. Obviously what the health department debacle demonstrated is you can put people in positions. But if they don't understand the financials or the management or even count cars or count buildings then we could get ourselves right back into a big mess and lay off a bunch of people that we didn't need to and all that. Yeah. You're right. And and. When you have that if you don't have the institutional knowledge as a as a lawmaker, then you're looking for somebody else, and you're looking for the staff or you're looking to lobbyist or someone to advise you. So that's why you know, we need to make sure that we have the most capable competent people and willing to listen about what's going on. Yes. I agree. Well, it has been a joy for me to see your bright shiny face about once a month for all those enjoyed it. Appreciate the opportunity to come and visit and I consider myself a public servant and very proud to serve the citizens of Oklahoma. And you know, am proud of what we've accomplished. Well. Thank you. And thanks for calling in from the convention and all the different things. You are a great public servant. And I'm not the only one that knows that you're so admired even for losing that parking place. Because you're still in the capital. Did you get to move in? Your new is is we moved across the hall.
