only said coyote show because my dad real way so yeah paint us a picture of the scheduled for those of us who don't know hang out with you know put center okay okay so i'm gonna tell you because i am a child of guy you know i'm i'm like that's the thing like in miami be i'm a child of my dad was we'll still is a key wani's club of little havana member and these are mostly cuban men but there's a different types of you know let the nose in the club and what they do is a lot of like really cool things it's an organization that they do a lot of like nonprofit and stuff like that but what they have carnival it's carnival time in miami in march as it is in brazil or other like countries and places where they celebrate carnival and and it's a street festival it's a street festival where you're just celebrating you know like just being latino and and they have stages all over it's i believe twenty two avenues are closed down kyle is is h street it's in english as eighth street give joy is like a huge avenue like like a lot it's just it's a street in miami that a lot of people are using us all the time and they closes for so i've have done the festival i've literally worked the festival with my father and it's a you start you can't they cannot because it's such a busy street they cannot close it down until midnight tonight it's on a sunday and they do they do a lot of other pre existing like events like they have like something now like carnival mile they do they used to have miss carnival i don't even know if they still do who it they also have this other party of the sky that was like the boosy when that everybody wanted to go to but like the sponsors it's called this it's at viscaya it's viscaya skyhigh yeah they filmed the first bad boys the bad guy that's like where his quote unquote mansion is but it's actually a historical like it's a historical landmark i'd like now so now they can't do viscaya party there anymore because they close it down but anyways point that my dad is one of the guys he wasn't the guy but he was one of the guys along with like i know leslie pantene is another one that they started this festival and it i mean it's it's like i said the biggest latter next festival in the the united states in los angeles they have something very it's a smaller version called fiesta broadway on that they do lay away downtown area but like here's the the thing we live in california how many latin ex festivals have you guys gone to here in LA the one another street i mean the one that's it's a music festival i forget the name but it's by downtown what's it called they're all under well there's there's there's a lot i know them because i work these and then so there's fiesta spot the whittier there's you know there's a bunch of leg they do a lot of like they do me chill out affairs they do like a there's there was a colombian one just a couple of months golic i there's a lot of like latin x festivals that i think like people are not sure to like what the experience will be because i have a lot of friends like oh i wanted to go to this or whatever and i'm just like just go perform all the time that we go super formula there's one in columbia that he does but i don't know like fifty article awesome dude i i'm homesick culture straight and now i know a little bit more more about your culture so thank you for educating us and hopefully you guys learned a little bit about your culture by taking this quiz or listening to us take this quiz i definitely learned a lot but enough about that it's signed for a little coffee saito fire we need you to listen to please leave internships awed an inter inter clear gabrielle thank you for being here finally thanks for having me we are all big fans of you you did are you one of our furnish i keep present our second second shows are second last more show march march of of twenty eight ben wow feeling does it was so much fun yeah why were you nervous nervous i mean i've done i mean i was i answer which live performances like my thing and then i had to talk on stage was a totally different different thing but then gabrielle being gabrielle onstage hold interesting yeah i like listen to myself and then i start sweating and i itself aware o- bugging like sorry like the third i like goes around you all know what the thirty year when we're podcasting oh yeah and this is really pretty right now right it's relatable yeah yeah you sound stuffy tony it was a pleasure to be there hell yeah so for people that were not at our live show can you let let them know like where where did you grow up where you from yeah okay so i'm from very very south texas i'm from like bordertown they yes madam berg alex had a previous along old girlfriend from again alan old as it was a long time ago she wasn't she wasn't sixty six oh of age my age move on your so anyway all my boyfriend's in new york city pretty good yes new york rat peter pans over there they can't leave the can leave the very very talented but so yeah i'm from south texas and i went to school in oklahoma and then i moved to new york city right got a college and was there for ten years during the during the day from texas to oklahoma i oh okay this was before youtube guys right that's how we grew up and i uh-huh i there is really no thirds no exposure to theater and i went to new york around the age of twelve for the first time on a family trip and we saw three shows we saw fantastic up around greece and then you saw a ballet but we also saw the the other musical we saw was big of an umbrella for like two weeks and i remember like the curtain written was revealed those those people my age and i was like oh that's what i want to take your big fan of the man you're like yes it's really reinspired joel i heard about the movie big big lake you know keyboard on the floor ask but i just told my mom i wanna do and she was like well if you want to do that then you have to get into choir fire and not join the band 'cause i really wanna play the quads in the band because the attacked in texas band quads four drums on your hip squad people out there shout out yeah i'm all on repeat in high school and so i i told my dance teacher was like i just wanna do kind of like theater i guess and she was like well audition for colleges i had no idea what that really entails so i auditioned for juilliard art NYU oklahoma city university and academically i was solid but but dan dance program i only only got accepted into oklahoma city so i went and it was great i mean those are all so hard late they're hard they're like getting into like like an art school i feel like people think it's like yeah like yeah like being a doctor and lawyer those are all very difficult things to do but also like just auditioning for these art things in seventeen yeah and then applying early that's a lot of pressure so pretty you put yourself out there i mean from what i've learned from center stage or save the lest the schools are very hard to get our flashdance slashed hands new york city ballet nobody in those movies wherever he's just back on that flick save the last dance kind of every street young dan yeah to earn one camper the other you know it it yeah yeah but i'm also a big honey fan got to deny just because of that i mean it makes sense zoe saldana was is interstate yeah that's right she was one of the first angry and she actually had a pretty incredible because gabrielle you know those actors were not the best yet acting was wooden as was always yeah she she got lost in the south she even had like she had her like fool on combat a palm i will stop from there but the acting yet because the dancing and stuff being a center stage apologised the then you you anyway so i kept watching centerstage and going to school and then i fell in love with musical theater then that acting singing dancing dancing was like a real career that i could do it all together yeah you know and then yeah summer stock like experience in college got paid to do like five shows rose in ten weeks and just dancing act all the live long summer i mean i'd never done musicals before so like in four years i twenty musicals else if he thinks totally caught up learned with that was who's your favorite to do the first one like ever was joseph and the amazing and it's so many songs there's so many songs to sing and i do choir in high school and goodness so i actually knew what i was doing yeah in that sense but the first time i like saying sang and danced and acted like on my own at standing onstage alone was of course i did that and that was just is their musical we've never gotten a chance to actually do that you have you done them all a musical that i always want i never wanna do cats that's talking about why don't you wanna be a cat look at my computer i love cats love cats i follow all all the insta- cats yeah same that like maybe it's the work of it all that you have to put on that much makeup that long maybe it's like kinda ruined the magic in a sense where ah work and then like they were on they were on LSD or something when they wrote that shit people like jonker had snow it makes no sense and i had never seen it and i in college they showed it to us on like the the live recording of the stage production and i was like there's nothing nothing worse than seeing as taped stays for it's like what's the point people asked me for my footage doing improv i'm like on like this is not going to help me knocking book anything you want like come watch me in real life don't look at this video on youtube a tube doesn't translate in so that's that's that's the opposite of your guy's never done that i've always wanted to do that's a good one gotcha rent john that's the one i aw aw i saw when i was like twelve years old like in broadway's everything and i want my cuban data my dad was like i do not i don i didn't know it's gonna be like how people in new york and they live in the third super living in like juneau there's there's there's a lot of sex there's journal there's there's conversations and things you could also yondo conversations with this girl now to talk about that was of course line to like they stuck in the in the seventies and my dad took me to go see i didn't know it was picked ktar poppies let me say it would be rent so no cats and yes sprint yes all about the renton about cats heights happened in the heights happen is a really funny story i was doing a course line the first national tour and by the way a little side note huge fan of priscilla lopez since centers let's move before center stage like i memorized that cassette in the backseat of my suburban bourbon like you know the third row you have in the suburban there's an extra yeah that was good i always play to memorize all the lyrics of the chorus line gas and then in the heights it happened when i was doing the first national of course college and after many auditions i don't mean like i just it just worked out immediately and like to be clear on the audition process yeah and i was on i was traveling and flying something back for big auditions like less story was happening then and news was kinda happening getting around then and then in the heights came around but before the tour i went in as a general audition for chelsea the casting company and they're like can you and and i sank i and she said can you dance hip hop and i was like he and i went in for the whole all creative team for the original broadway cast krysta rodriguez role on somboon three roles and i had no idea who these people were and and this is just for the kids back home these are the hamiltons were the in the heights people arguing like this scruff scrappy show and like lynn's high-school college dream dream was in the heights it's his story his wife's name is vanessa okay and so had no idea who they were didn't really like memorize the sides and was just like i don't know i'm just going to say and then i'll i sang with houston i'm every woman and on those on that is that is a bold move that whole oh you gotta give it to him i went to the show it was about thank you and i am i remember lynn after i saying my little cut he went i love that song and he started singing with me he was like whoa whoa whoa and i was like i have no idea what's going on bombs the audition went on tour came back after a year because krista was leaving and and the day before i gave myself like a fake tan and i was so read the night before the stand and hold the you put on the special lotion so we better on their forget the like why don't you do this three minutes i was in rhode island on tour and i was like you and i got lobster red dollar forget going to CVS and like throwing pouring conceal on my face i'm like i'm i'm going in my favorite broadway show to read that's so funny little mermaid so that was sebastian i thought it was so hard to like get to the audition like that nightmare feeling so easy that was like it it was almost like because you were dealing with that and you're free to kinda yeah i just got stubbing your something else so that you don't feel the pain of the variety that was the story story it's a really long when i'm sorry came in win after i like after they had been doing it already a year after they were yeah they won the tonys and all that and and then krista left the role i wouldn't before she went to go do wednesday play the role of wednesday in an addams family so i was able to my second time around i was able to book it so i was an ensemble member and then i understood the three young women vanessa nina and carlos on the weather probably yeah we're for sure on the subway one day together in queens well i know i was in was down by wall street but i mean i worked in times square so it was like oh yeah carlos wall street they'll riches SAP member wasn't a banker he's brexit loss wearing in queens did you live i was in a story from woodside your from your mom yeah yes so yeah woodside sunnyside side hung out in high school like that was way you're native where where what's like a call today to hang out in now story wrong alien store off take off on the accent just the accent a cream dracula never i got to chinese i can't say to go to sunnyside human as well what is a cool place to hang out in asked tory story top it together gas well well we also said equatoria actors lives there you go there you go so act toria i was there for like eight years and i was off the ditmar stop yeah yeah and your only nobody wanted to live there because it was just kind of barren and and it's a little more neighborhoody than like hugh shops apps and all that team ou- icons just came out it wasn't one of his now happen because it's very cool now there's like a TJ maxx that's something we all know that along starbucks air remember why can get lost in those astra sale yes especially in the isle when you check out oh my god it that's that's the worst everywhere though thank you for helping us try to get some some money any from we're heavily breathing right now i don't know if they get into the ship asia actually go to the website and it's not even existent what i've looked when you TJ maxx stuff yeah i i tried to i can't legit there's so many websites i i'm like stores on some league your soul huge because they depend on what the there's never stable grays on TJ maxx your local local chop should have their own like somebody taking pictures of what's around and yes and we'll have the internet just take satisfies so many i'm just trying to understand entrepreneur north by anything from the website it's just you look at pictures of yourself a trip carlos you're no side hustle there you go you know i didn't realize it's yeah so then okay so then they now they have a TJ maxx before what was a spy and we still haven't set us you know i never hung on stein way it was kind of gritty screening yeah yeah i mean i remember i was dating this girl in high school and i wanted to get her we hold on your dating a girl girl in high school yes i j girls anymore but when i did i wanted to i like water for chocolate guys i try to just like as a play and then they realized they wanted to add the medium of music and less than thessalia celia okay they're they're fantastic this beautiful like ranchera mariachi like four person band and like her voice and all all of them as instrumentalists it's just incredible so they were creating music in transferring it with a music director lake from like producers on broadway to create a musical with the with the story oh so it was the first time happened at powerhouse theater in in poughkeepsie what's that what's that college not god what is it you syracuse vassar awakening thing that's call back to that and we it was the first sunday put music onto the script so we were just kind of like the people that saying a little bit of it and they changed it and changed and changed and it was so which work shopping from the bone yes goes i mean broadway shows take like three years so chocolate that's not the movie with johnny depp that's different that's a different thing i saw a movie called based on the book and the script was very similar to that but now they're just trying to like make it a musical nicol with like different transitions and stuff and it's already suffragan good to that so i just looked a guest spot on modern family wrench guy yes yes just to get to the audition okay like thirty thirty minute wa s lot partners to on the bus get off the shuttle anymore they don't have a shot to walk a twenty five minute while waiting there's still a shuttle even will tell you asking for demanding for the shuttle
