Do what you said you would do. Fighting for freedom in this one. This is so timely. I don't know if you've seen the headlines this morning, Boris Johnson is getting flayed in the House of Commons because tape emerged that he lied or his staff lied about having a party during lockdown last year. Nigel Farage is coming in. This is what you're talking about, isn't it? Do what you say you're going to do. Yeah. When you put your name on the ballot and you run for office, if the voters would like to, you should probably go do what they elected you to do. And I always point out, I don't think anyone and I write about this lot in the book. I don't think anyone did that better than president Trump because he said he cut taxes he did. He said he'd reduce regulations. He did, he put the embassy Jerusalem. He did. He said he get out of that ran deal he did. He said he put conservatives on the car he did. He said he did the wall. But unfortunately, off too often, people get here and come up with 1 million reasons why they can't do what they said they were going to do. And none of those individuals ever put their name on a ballot, but yet they seem to want to run the country all the time. And so yes, that's the congressman. I have been going. Page by page through the build back better bill that passed the house and I've written three columns in the House in The Washington Post, one of them didn't post this morning. It's a nightmare of the administrative state. They're going to spend $3 billion on tree equity, $200 million on Nancy Pelosi's personal park the presidio. A $170 billion on the homeless. I have a heart for the homeless, but this is wasted. This is terrible. It will make it worse. Did anyone read this nightmare? No, no one's no one's Reddit. And you're right. It's not just the dollar amount, which is not just enough. It's this stupid policies in there. All the Green New Deal policies, all the tax increases. That's what going to further harm our economy already. 31 year high in inflation. So yes, this has got a bunch of Bologna in it. The American people understand that. But unfortunately, the Democrat party is just committed to continuing their left wing march towards communism and it's why we got to stop them. We got to speak out against it. And that's why so appreciate what you do. The pieces you write and things you tell your listeners, but we just got to keep it up. And I think things are changing. Virginia was a great sign. What we saw there, I think we're going to see the same thing happen in 11 months or if we're Congress and the United States Senate and then we'll be able to hold them off and then you build for the 2024 presidential election. That's how American politics works, but we've got to make sure we take the case of the American people. And they're ready to stand up and courage is contagious and when some moms dad start to stand up in Virginia, the next thing you know, when y'all is going to be the next governor. I think we're up to about 1819 or something that I've announced with surprise me if there are more. Now, look, we can't get over confident and I don't think we're going to, but we've got to stay focused on taking the message to the American people. But I do feel good about where we're headed. I don't know that I've ever seen approval ratings this bad, right. But then again, you step back and you look at everything they've done and you're like, well, they haven't done anything right. The borders and mass, the inflation rate is unbelievable. We used to be energy independent. Now we've got the president begging begging OPEC to increase production at the same time he's telling American companies to reduce production to mix absolutely no sense. And of course, we see what's happening in foreign policy. After the Afghanistan exit debacle, we look at what's happening on the border. Ukraine, we look at what China is doing relative to Taiwan and it is frightening and it's because when you project weakness from the Oval Office, bad people around the planet start to do bad things. That's what I think we're beginning to see and it's unfortunate. So I think we're going to win. I'm a Republican. I'm the most transparent person in the media. I'm a Republican. I think we're going to win. Will Kevin McCarthy be the speaker? Yep, he sure will. And we're going to have to focus on. I think a lot of oversight because again, we're not going to be opacity. I mean, we should pass things out of the house to show the American people what we'll do if we have complete control of government when president Trump runs and wins again or whoever our nominee is, but I think it's going to be president Trump and Ethel on four. So we have to do that. But I think we also have to do oversight and this we have to figure out the whole Fauci gain of function China. That whole issue, we have to figure out what's really going on at the FBI. This idea that they're now targeting parents. How did another big issue is how did the how did thousands of Americans tax returns become public? But it's not supposed to happen in this great country. That's certainly something these oversight. So I think that's a real area we need to focus on as Republicans if in fact we're in control. If you're in the majority, which committee do you expect to share congressman Jordan? Lord willin? I'll charge judiciary committee, which is exactly what I want to do. All the bad policies of Democrats have done nothing is as dangerous as what they're doing to the First Amendment and historically the House judiciary committee has been the committee that protects your rights, protects the constitution to Bill rights and most importantly the liberties we all enjoy under the First Amendment. So what they have done to that over the last year is just scary, particularly you're right to speak and not be called a racist and then have the mom try to cancel you. So that's where I really want to focus because that's where I think judiciary authority over big tech yeah we have some, but also energy and commerce, but we will be working in that space, particularly section two 30. That's step one. Now again, I don't think Joe Biden has signed it because they like big tech censoring conservatives and throttling back our speech. So but that liability protection has to go away. And then we also have to look at the antitrust concerns and frankly speeding things up. So we can get decisions to the Supreme Court. Get cases in the Supreme Court forward decision in a timely fashion when it comes to antitrust. It shouldn't take 20 years to figure this out. And just as Thomas has sort of indicated, he wants to deal with this. So that's one of the pieces of legislation we're also looking at in that big check area..

Is there any reason to believe that CJ Straten company won't keep hitting that extra cylinder coming up this weekend? Is there any concern for this game against the Ducks? I think offensively, Ohio State has a very positive outlook, and it was always going to be a little bit uncomfortable or early on for CJ Stroud last week, but we saw what he did in the second half. Four touchdown passes. We saw that talent and crystal lobby and Garrett Wilson really shine and we saw the run game come through to Mayan. Williams was really good from the jump. But we also saw Trayvon Henderson, the freshman player who got in there with some carries but also had a really long Touchdown reception. So I think offensively, the Buckeyes will be confident defensively, they're going to have their hands full simply because Oregon is an R P O spread offense, and so they try to put Players in conflict and make sure the defense cannot be right. Um, last week, Oregon favored the run 2 to 1. So Ohio State do you devote the resources? There will also understanding that maybe your secondary isn't quite up to par. Yet with some young players and Some issues that they had their last year. So I think that's going to be the big question. How does Ohio State decided to defend the RP? And he got to sit behind one of the best quarterbacks at Ohio State, seen in Justin Fields and learn from him and Ryan Day is a phenomenal quarterback coach. And so I only I felt like it was going to take him some kind of get comfortable. Within a game, but I knew that the talent was going to be there, so I'm not surprised to see it and I keep going back to this, but I think it's true. Um, it would be hard to be bad as a quarterback at Ohio State right now, simply because of all the weapons. That you get to play with. Um, that's not to disparage CJ at all, because I do think that he is a good quarterback is going to continue to get better through the year. But i would like to start with this decision. That has really rocked a lot of high school programs in the country. The idea that now you can just say you know what I'm done and now it cer- certain certain states are are a little more problematic. Good afternoon tell us about this story and how it's going over in in columbus. Yes thanks for having me. It's a unique situation for a guy who for autism purposes or the next prodigy and football basically and. It's this kid when you are the number one player in the country of six players. According to two four seven sports composite rankings ever have a perfect rating as a high school football prospect. And what this boils down to is. He's making a decision based on a financial situation. There's a company down in texas along with a few others that would basically project and make a million dollars or something like that over the next few years and because of a rule in texas that does not allow high school athletes due to capitalize on. Listen i l stuff. It came down to okay. You want to spend another year playing high school football or do you want to cash while also getting a head start in the quarterback that he's going to join heavy would've arrived in spring anyway at ohio state and i think most people in his position would have taken the money and got a head start on being a college football player. I don't think this is the new norm. I just think when you got a kid. Who's this good and has an opportunity to make this type of money. He's in a unique situation and make a decision that very few people have ever been able to make so he'll make the money he'll skip his senior year I know there are a lot of five stars already hanging around the quarterback room. But what does it look like right now as he shows up there. Yeah he's not on campus the expectation that sometime in the next week or two. He'll show up on campus. There should be no expectation that queen yours is going to be how it started quarterback twenty twenty one whatsoever. This kid's not physically ready to play college football if there's three guys. Obviously there has been some rumors and reports of kansas may be joining whatnot but the problem is there isn't a oklahoma or texas out there for the big ten to go right. I understand. texas hasn't been a powerhouse football program in over a decade now but when texas is really good. That's a a great program to have in your conference and obviously oklahoma kind of dominate the big twelve for the past. Couple of years here. So that's a benefit to the sec. There's nobody out there like that. The big ten to go get. I think the best move that they could make as maybe aligning with a conference. You see this all the time in basketball with things like the acc big ten challenge where the play a team from that conference every year. The big ten could do something like that with the pac twelve in the. Acc has seen me leave. Made some moves to try to make that happen. But that's the smartest thing having walked doing this situation because kansas doesn't get it done right. That doesn't put fireworks up up for anybody. Because kansas has more of a basketball program than any type of football program. And so that's the best option right now trying to just go out somebody as a reaction to what the sec is doing right now. So stephen i mean that's good. Your schedule gets better but the big ten has television rights open and a couple of years. So how do you make the league. More attractive overall. You may get that big game but you. You already have that. I mean you have oregon in ohio state. This year michigan plays big name. Schools penn state's playing auburn. But what about. What's the the big ten starts. I mean there's only so many name games you have where the sec is going to be lapping the field here in a couple of years. Yeah but that's i mean you're flipping according to expecting to see star keys in the bowl. Whatever texas has around very quickly. This is ohio states conference in ohio. State is gonna be the conference that brings in the most money. The whole only hope is that michigan can get back to being a contender and making matt or how michigan game competitive again. In that penn. State's last year. Blimp was literally just just a blip and not the big ten west can be better. The baby wanted to teams every single year. But i didn't like with kansas. That doesn't get it done. I don't know who the football program is. They realized they can get paid twice. They can get paid to advertise things and they can get paid by managing other people. It's a brave new world and it's going to it's going to be a little bit messy at first because they will be some people who think now for example at the university of miami one of the big boosters that miami and the boosters of the people who plow money into the sports programs so that they will be successful and that might be they donate millions to update the weight room or whatever. I will buy a big new school board for the stadium. a big. gee what would you buy. If you're a brewster on that. I should be i would buy.
