"We have U s senate candidate Jane Timken on lots going on, Jane, How are you? Great. How are you doing? Good wanted right off the gate here. Your good friend Joe Biden is planning on addressing the nation at five o'clock, and I guess the rumor is he's going to require Federal workers all say 2 to 2.1 million of them to get the vaccine. What are your thoughts? Oh, my gosh. Well, first of all, I'm not sure Joe Biden knows he's actually in the White House. Um, and it's clear to me that he's not in control, which is just tragic for our country. But these policies of the forcing federal workers and their contractors to mandate they get vaccinated. I'm against it. This is the example of the Democrats and the federal government overreach into our individual rights. These choices about vaccines should be made with in consultation with your doctor and individual choices. Not they buy politicians like Joe Biden. And government officials. A. This is the wrong policy in the wrong path for our country. I've stood up and spoken out against mask mandates and vaccine mandates. Look, I'm vaccinated. I made that choice. People need to make the choices themselves with their doctor. This is getting out of control. We need to continue to fight for our country and our individual freedoms. And look, that's why I'm running for the United States Senate. You see daily the attack on our constitutional rights by the Democrats and we need someone who's going to stand up and fight back against them. I'm Believe me it Rocky. I don't know if you know I played rugby on I'm a fighter. I'm not afraid of mud and and I'm not afraid of Democrats and so bring it on, because really the direction of our country's at stake. Okay. What do you see at the the end game of all this? If this indeed, while, Rocky said, was true what what's going to be the pushback? Well, it'll be interesting. You know, there's uh, I think there's going to be more and more of an uprising. I see it every day as I travel around the state of Ohio. We have more and more citizens who are engaged, alarmed about what's happening in our country, not just with vaccine and mask mandates, but what's happening in our schools. People are very concerned about the indoctrination of our Children. They are very concerned about what's happening at the border. They're looking at the the crime rate and their communities. The fact that we're not standing up for our police and They're going to the grocery store and the gas pump and going what is going on in our country, So I feel that people are waking up and recognizing that eight months of the Democrats and Joe Biden has been a disaster for this country, and we need people who are going to stand up and fight for Ohio and fight for America and put America first, and that's what I'm going to do when the United States Senate James Kim Jane Timken, join us on the program. So Jane one issue of particular interest to me and many parents out there Right now, all across the state of Ohio. There are thousands and thousands of healthy kids gay, healthy kids showing no symptoms of covid or anything that are being sent home. This is all because of the Ohio Department of Health's policy to make unmasked kids who are in contact with someone with covid. Has to go home in quarantine for 10 to 14 days. What are your thoughts on this? And? And would you do anything to help make a situation where we're? We're not having healthy kids sent home being with their parents when they should be in school. This is an absolute untenable situation, especially for parents and the child 14 days out of school when they're asymptomatic and and don't have covid. Because they may have come in contact with someone who did is really disruptive. Not only for a family but for the piled, Um, we spent Almost a full year of kids not being in school. They need to be back in school. I I would support schools that wanted to test students to make sure that they didn't have covid and those who did. They can go home. But to send kids who are without any covid to go home is ridiculous. And these mask mandates. We have kids who are trying to learn how to read trying to learn. Breaking for me. I do not understand this. There has to be a better way. And you know, when you send a kid home for 14 days, it's so disruptive to the family. They? They they they may not have childcare. We saw so many women walk out of the workforce because of the of the burdens of having kids at home. And and it's not a burden, but because of the pandemic, they there was a she session. Women were leaving the workforce. We need people back at work. I hear every day, so this kind of disruptive policy It's just a wrong direction. But Jane would would you put any pressure on Mike DeWine? So he has put Dr Bruce Vanderhof in charge of the Ohio Department of Health and this is his policy this whole You know, we have to put a mask on a few in order to not get quarantine. It seems absolutely ridiculous. Me is that I mean, what would you talk to the governor? Would you go after the governor about such an insane policy? Obviously, there's been times during this pandemic that I voiced my opposition to the governor's policy. I disagreed with the curfew. I didn't think it was effective. I disagreed with the vaccine million policy and of course I would speak out against this policy. So let me ask you, Jane. Um, let's switch gears here for a second in your mind that I'm sure I know what you're going to say. It doesn't matter. But who do you suppose you're going to be running against? On the Democratic side. Yeah, on the Democratic side. Oh, I think it's highly likely that it's Tim Ryan. Um, he has a primary now, but look at it. This is about the heart and soul of our country and Ohio and I'm going to be you know me. I've been in the trenches fighting for Ohio Islands for the last five years. I mean, we candidate that has been fighting for the America First Ohio first agenda and I'm going to continue that fight. It'll likely be Tim Ryan and I welcome that challenge. I'm the only person that's actually spent 150,000 miles and traveling in my car around Ohio. I understand Ohio's families and businesses in our communities. And which policies in Washington are working for us and which ones are not, and I'm going to continue that fight in the U. S Senate, and lastly, Jane, What about the southern border? And there's like no mention of anything in the news. It's almost like the media is purposefully just turned a blind eye to that because I know it's a disaster of their accounts. I read 170,000 illegals coming in the country a month. Do they have covid? Do they not have cover they vaccinated and not No one knows anything about it. What is your stance on the border? And what would you do if elected to Senate about the border? You're absolutely right. The news media is not focusing on what's happening at the border because they they want the American people not to focus on that. It is an unmitigated disaster that is created by the Biden administration. The fact that we are on we have exceeded over a million illegal immigrant crossings at the border is Absolutely astounding. It is threatening the security of our country. We don't know who these individuals are, Um they we don't We can't screen them. Obviously, that we don't know if they're vaccinated were you know the Biden administration is about to vaccinate federal workers, but they don't care whether we have all these immigrants coming in and most importantly for Ohio and we had record opioid deaths last year, and it's because of the drugs coming in. In the southern border. Donald Trump President Trump was right. We need to secure our border. It's about our sovereignty, and it's about making sure we are stopping the flow of drugs and human trafficking from the southern border that it's affecting Ohio right now we need to build that wall and secure that border. Jane Temkin. Thank you so much for joining us. Thank you. I'm sure we'll be talking a little bit more down the way no question about it. Absolutely. Race is heating up..

"And see you and put that on his plate. Put that on his shoulders and at the 40. Niners offense is Roland. Now that's going to make even feel the run game down much better because Jimmy Garoppolo will show teams that he Khun Galatea through the air. And so I think that's probably the main point that the 40 hours would love to see the season early in the season. Especially is I think that there was this Feeling for NFL defense is And and certainly I think we saw it in the Super Bowl, where Kansas City Kind of have the thought of it If we can shut down the run and Fourscore uploaded to be this You know, that's that's Ah gamble there were willing to take and you know foreigners moved the ball pretty well and grapple had a pretty good game going through three quarters and then you know the wheels fell off, but I I I think that there will be. I think there's a lot to that's it. You'll be able to kind of tell what What Palestinian thinks of Jimmy Garoppolo and the functionality of that offense by how he calls the first couple of games of the season and I will say this. I think things are set up a lot better for Garoppolo because The the offense just doesn't you know there are a lot of A lot of pieces of this puzzle that if we didn't see last year, and we really never saw a reliable, third down slot receiver that I think Trent Taylor can be. We never saw a reliable quick twitch. Um, cooking guy coming out of the backfield like Jerick McKinnon, and we never saw A true second tight end that they could put out there with George Kittel and really make a defense picture poison like they have now. Theoretically with Jordan Reed, So I think there are a lot more pieces to the puzzle this year, maybe even more speed on the outside this year with both Tebow, Samuel and Brandon I use so I do think things were set up a lot better for that offense this season. So let me ask you this since you brought him up. Bob greasy. 19 7 1973. Terrible. Started three games, won three games. In three games. Give me the total number of passing attempts. Bob, Greece he had in three games. I'm going to go with Like 36 was going to say 30 for that is tremendous. And that's a very good call by both of you. You're both high. 31 Hey, was 20 for 31 in three. I distrust people. Now that I'm a Hall of fame, voter people. Why isn't this guy yet? No, Why's that guy in and in most cases, they have very good arguments, But but it's always Yeah, he That person is a hall of fame where he should be in the hall of fame. But who do you know? Who do you take out? You know who Because you can only have so many people in and the one guy that I always think of who you could take out is rough. Voted off. Can't know Canton, Ohio Island. Bring the Bring me your torch. Bob. Mattia tap on the shoulder. Look, you you talked with the Niners issue? Health? It's so key. I mean, Jordan Reed, Jerick McKinnon, Trent Taylor. I mean, all those guys. I mean Jordan Reed is a Pro Bowl caliber receiving tight end if he's healthy, and McKinnon had 50 catches and Could have games re has three catches for 100 yards and a touchdown. He's that kind of an impact guys receiver so she could get him isolated like Shanahan can and Taylor. You're right. He's like an Amendola. He's like he was twisted into a pretzel, and you have a hard time covered him because his footwork is just on another planet. So to me, Health is a number one key this year. But if I if I'm given Shanahan in Lynch Truth serum two weeks before the opener, What's the biggest concern in their mind is at right guard is a corner opposite. Sherman is a wide receiver isn't the pass rush in the health of the whole thing? What's the number one concern right now. Uh, that that's a good question. My guess would be the interior offensive line because they have that had so many injuries that centre um and also the right guard situation. So that would probably be it, but I think the cornerback I think the pass rush unless the injuries there are more significant than that, then I've been led to believe. You refer to it, Larry that the defense of backfield Isn't it? Comprised of perennial Pro Bowl types of players. Obviously, Richard Sherman is But they're kind of under the radar. In the case of Moseley, who I think will probably be the starter and he was just He was an under after guy two years ago, but but they're solid. And that pass rush. Really helps them. Uh, So I don't I would say Yeah, it's probably just the Yeah. The offensive line and in the center position you Weston. Richburg won't be available for at least the first six games been. Garland has had an ankle issue that kept him out now for a couple of weeks. They moved Brunskill over to center for the time being that just wasn't working out. He was He's much better at right guard, so that's probably the one spot and they put a lot on the plates of those interior alignment in their running game. No, they have to have smart. They have to have athleticism, a ll that stuff so that to me. That's probably where their biggest concern is heading into the season. Matt Naoko, our Niner insider and fellow fan of craft beer. We always appreciate your time. And your insight, sir. A wealthy out on Hall of Fame Gatekeeper. Ah, Ah ah Ah. I mean, you know again, it's funny because it's true, so it runs down the steps. If I still on the steps of Canton back in whatever year and said they can never take this away from Matt Mayo, Broken try, let me echo what Larry just said, and get Roger Craig in there. Why you had it so that it's a swap? That's all. It is. Be well meant exactly Say Ah. Out, man. Tell you what man toe have that power that must be intoxicating. "The panel is with us from their remote locations and NBC anchor Joshua Johnson. NBC NEWS Capitol Hill correspondent Casey Huh and Rich Lowry, editor of National Review, and to Sort of set the table here, wantto showcase our NBC News. Political units. First battleground map of 2020 full disclosure. I am a member of said political unit So I've contributed this myself. We're going to start with the 20 states Hillary Clinton one in 2016 all of which remain in Biden's column right now Main second congressional district. Which Trump carried in 2016. We're currently classifying as they toss up when you see some stripes, they're also trending. Biden's way right now are six Trump 2016 states that we've been considering the key six battle grounds for 2020 Wisconsin, Michigan in Pennsylvania in the North, Arizona, North Carolina, Florida, the South right now, none are tossups. All have Biden with a consistently and right now, before we get to her toss up states, Biden would already have 334 electoral votes if just the states that he's leading in when his way far more than the 2 17 It's on par with the Barack Obama electoral numbers of 28 2012. President Trump leads in 20 states Good for under 25 electoral votes, Nebraska's second congressional district, We have his lean Biden right now. So at least four states Georgia, Ohio Island, Texas, Plus that main district, all of which President Trump one last time as the remaining tossups worth 79 electoral votes, But if those of the toss up states, you know where the map is so rich lower. I start with this backdrop because I asked a simple question. Why is the president not taken? The Democrats deal at this point, Because it seems it probably would help his reelection prospects will check. There's some dispute about how really the reduced spending is in the latest Democratic offer, but the White House definitely been reluctant to get much above a trillion dollars. And I think it's with an eye to renewed Republican concern about the deficit. I very much get concerned about the deficit. But the real sin here isn't deficit spending in the midst of major economic dislocation was all the deficit spending that took place when the economy was good God Johnson. I had a one Democratic eight. That's been that's been what's made these negotiations so odd is that the normal rules of politics? A thought would apply to the other side, which is the political pressure of the moment has not impacted them yet. Yeah, it's kind of interesting that the way that the political pressure has shifted over the course of this pandemic. I mean, Mitch McConnell was interviewed by Politico this week and said it's a lot harder now than it was four months ago. Where that much closer to the election. I do think Doctor Navarro made an interesting point in saying that you don't negotiate in public. That may be part of why this is so hard. I think it's also telling that both sides can't see To come to an agreement. Perhaps because of the publicity's around these negotiations. It might be better on both sides if they just sent delegates. And if all the major players stayed home and stayed away from cameras for a while, But, yeah, I mean, as we get closer to the election, Unfortunately, it seems like less and less is getting agreed to because every sound bite after every negotiation becomes something that could end up in an opponent's campaign. Okay, See, I look at this situation, I think. Well, they have to come in. There's just no choice. The economic fallout is too great. Not too And yet do you see them landing this plane this week? I think the blame game has made that potentially very difficult. At this point. Chuck and Republicans are essentially making a bet that Democrats are not going to go out there and try to knock down the president's unemployment insurance executive order. Because they simply can't be seen doing that. And I think there are real questions about Mark Meadows, the White House chief of staff and his role in these negotiations, because Steve Mnuchin seemed relatively willing to cut this deal with Democrats. And there does seem to be this overarching bet on the part of Democrats that the people that are going to pay the ultimate political price for not doing a deal going to be Republicans in the Senate and the White House. Now whether that's the best course of action for the country. I think it's up to our viewers to decide. Hey, Rich is the real problem here for the White House. The fact that any deal that Congress cuts is going to be majority Democrats having to vote for both in the House and the Senate? Yeah, that's another constraint, but it's definitely his political interest to do this to get a deal. These executive orders are there nebulous there confused. They're poor substitute for law making, and I should note even if they're technically legal. This is not Howard. System is supposed to work with Congress affirmatively declines to do something and the president rummages around for authorities to try to do it on his own. This is part of a long running trend oven overweening executive trampling on a feckless Congress. Are you in the Ben Sasse camp Rich? What do you call it? Constitutional slop? Yeah, it's it's against the spirit of our system. It's what many of us invade against Obama's second term of pen and phone governance and is just an extension of that. I want to give it to beef steak. Since we're going to stick with politics here. Joshua I was the David Axelrod tweet that asked Senator Durbin about it is sort of it is an insider conversation..

Couple weeks later, a brand new set of clubs Show up by upper doorstep, You know, and that's what I used until I finally got another step. And I'm like, all right, man, that was pretty cool that he did that. But, yeah, I'm starting to get into the game. Which scares me. See, That's what I have in common with Darius Rucker. I, too, have donated golf clubs to the Golan family. That's why that's why this all works. Yeah, exactly. They just love upstairs for what we can give him. That's basically by the way. Go ahead. "San coming up at twelve the Yankees finally dealt sunny, gray, the not long national nightmare has concluded. He's now member the Cincinnati Reds. Let's kick it off with a very happy. Franklin Danbury Franko. You know, I gotta get on your right out of the gate, and then that's a two games over five hundred now one I never said that. Sacrimento always want all the kings. Frank, Ohio island. I wanna go back to the referee. And look it was definitely a penalty. Parents by New Orleans had a chance to win the game that had the ball in overtime. They and I don't like the replays. I never did. But how about a replay on the in the pass on Tom Brady? That's gotta be looked at Jodi guys get every call and that momentum in a game that would have been four thousand eight earned down. It wouldn't have been fourth-down. It would have been third down. But still thirty and seven score a touchdown drive. I agree. I think that it's more than pass interference that we're going to be reviewing. The league is definitely already. They're already saying reacting to it. Of course, they don't react to this that it's never gonna change. That's correct. Rick and Tampa, Rick. How're you? Hey, guys. How are you today brick Evan? I only give you a prompt sphere for your nets to have weather playing. But you two things one is you know, they've been winning non stop it yet. You know, they moved they moved up the standings. But you now they are happy bridge economic five or six games get up to that next level. Right. And they've been seems like they've been winning so much ground. They've been gaining isn't as much must have been from. That was eighteen. They had a while back. So I kind of slowed down probably my question for you is when the trade deadline comes around. What do you think? The nets are gonna do or not do what you want. I think what they do is add contracts passed this year appealing is a guy like Aaron Gordon would be because he's a perfect fit for this team. They're in position to have room to go after a max free agent and potentially too. So I wouldn't impact that I can't take back a bad contract. That's number one. Number two. I'm not trading. My first round pick. I've done that way. Too often they actually have to this year their own plus Denver's, and they almost have a third first round pick because they own the Knicks second round pick, which obviously no offense will be towards the top the second round. No offense to given. I would consider using maybe that Nick pick to get a player. But I think any player that you add can't be extended past this season. Noah von lay is a perfect fit for this team. Now, do the Nixon nets have a match. Probably not. I mean, I could sit here and offer you the net second round pick, which is your second round pick. And I think that's a very fair deal. I think there are net fans that would say they wouldn't do it. And it's probably knick fans. They just don't want to help the that's out which is fine. But I think von lay would be a really nice fit for this team outside of that. I'm going to sound like you Joe, I don't wanna mess with this of general. I understand. I believe me. I totally get it. I totally there's one guy who's going to be waived very soon who I don't wanna even sniff McConnell Carmelo's done. Let's be honest. It's over Carmelo should just retire. I guess he's still got money on his contract. Right. He still does. Now, you know, what does your thirty five now? And he's just not the same guy. I remember a few years ago. We talked about him and said so this is a decision for what is he going to do with the latter part of his career? Can you become Penny Hardaway Tracy McGrady, Vince Carter where they have a second career as this role player or is this going to be it for him because he can't make that adjustment. Well, I think the answer is clear he hasn't been able to make that call mellow should retire him. He's got plenty of money. He should just move on to whatever he's gonna do next China if he wants to keep playing well England, Paul Steph con. Yes. If you really want to go play and live in China if you love the game. That's a lot of love. Kevin and North Carolina. Kevin. How are you? What's up? Hey, guys. Hey, I got a quick I think I've got the answer to the problems that we're seeing in the NFL today, we all know that that teams get two challenges per game. And if they are successful, they get the third challenge. I on a tool, right, right? So why doesn't the the NFL just implement a special challenge flag that a team gets one option one. They get the opportunity to have one special challenge per game for a penalty. Or a penalty. Yeah. Especially things that are so blatantly obvious like what happened in the New Orleans game. Kevin because what if an official screws up more than once now I'm being penalized because I was only allowed one opportunity. So I always look at this. What challenges whether it's for penalties or I wouldn't limit one two penalty. I would go for three CIA. I would give him three challenges. That's what you're going to get. You're gonna get three. You don't get an extra one. If you get them. Right. You get you get three, and you could challenge whatever you want you. But if you get let's say three challenges and use one and you're correct. You get to keep it. You don't lose a challenge because the officials screwed up. That's my it's been my issue. Even today where you get the two challenges, and you can only get a third one. If you get both, right. The officials screwed up. That's why you're challenging. So I know it sounds annoying because the game may go on. Screwed up. I understand. But I don't know if I go, I don't know if I'd do that. So the officials make fifteen mistakes you get penalized. Look, I mean what they made a mistake yesterday and they got penalized and they had replied, I don't have replaced penalties. We're talking about solving that. And that's not fair. To be a limit though to it. It's gotta be a limit to getting it. Right. Why? Because they do ones who screwed. I I understand. How did the team screw up their challenging the official? Got it wrong. We got too much replays. It is I I'm all for I'm all for replays. What was the coaches ring control? But I think there should be a limit on it. But I wouldn't limit. You can only use one challenge on a penalty. You can use it on one of you want. Right. That's up to you is right, right. That point I agree with you Richard in port Jefferson, Richard. Our you what's up? I wanted to talk about the Nixon. Yeah. Lack of coaching and their lack of players IQ. I played at a high level in college. I was a point guard. I was a six round drastic and nineteen sixty one. Really? Really? Where'd you go to college? If you don't mind me asking. Mississippi southern Mississippi Brett farve, alma mater. How about? I wish I was a little bit. Yes. A little before. I understand that. We had great teams where we couldn't play in a major tournament. Would in my era. We couldn't play against black play. I understand. Okay. But I'm saying this way. Robinson? I watch all the games Mitchell. Roberson could shoot the ball. Okay. The only thing they throw him is a lob on alleyoop, even if they have a six four died guarding him Dave lover in all the games throwing the ball down low. I down low every time to the center of this man was behind him. I don't have the sand. Why he shot bought at the offense? Okay. Because he needs to develop an offensive game. And by the way, also missed how many games coming into the last couple of days. Yeah. I fact check this guy's legit. He was taken in the sixth round. I don't I'm not going to give his last name. Because here's what I did. I went to the sixth round of the nineteen sixty one draft. Okay. And there is a guy taken from the university of southern Mississippi. Except his name is dick, right? Well, his Richard. So right and his name. I'm here. He may not mind his last naming out there. But I'm not gonna do it. Dry. Got the team drafted by the Philadelphia warriors. Wow. You could've played we will. Yeah. He would've fifty-six overall. I mean, that's an I named dick university of southern Mississippi. Sixth nineteen sixty one I think he's. Wow. How about that? Good job, you go nineteen sixty one you got to admit sometimes when when people call up and claim they were drafted were a little skeptical. Yeah. It's legit. For him bless seriously quick break. We'll come back. We'll give you the results.
