"Is now she in back to that winds for this five Darlene strong and I figure is well, is it up? Just a little will include a wonderful horse third we'll senate very nice trip on the front. End. And getting into the the Oklahoma Derby this is another race where it's definitely agreed three field that has a lot of similarities to some of the races that we've covered on the Kentucky Derby trail this year, the Ohio Derby and the Indiana jury of the winner that Indiana Derby shared sense is back in here. Here's the favourite for trainer Brad Cox, but there's also some interesting looks. I, if you WANNA go against a horse like him, you've got Dean Martin, who is a the Ohio Derby you've got code runner who's run some good raises and you've also got the horse that I'm GonNa pick. Rowdy? Yates. WHO. Always runs a consistent race for the most part does have one bad. Does have one bad finishing the springboard mile which was at Remington. But if you listen to the show last year, you're a super long listener. You know that I went this route with long-range. Taty. Last year and I'm going to do it again he's got two wins at Oakland. Remington Park is using in the Oklahoma juvenile and the Don McNeill last year again I did mention the seven in the springboard mile but the two wins so I'm going to go with that Angle A. I if I could see that through with a win here, I will also use a de Martini under I will also use de Martini and shared sense underneath just a little bit turned off by the effort that shared sense turned in in the Ellis Park Derby but I will put shared sense second I'll put D. Martinian for third..

"And and Jud you know as well as anyone else they do a phenomenal job at taking care of the track at Churchill downs and we've seen it in much worse conditions than this with just little windows being able to get that main track from wet to almost dry and seemingly no time so with a couple of. Days to work on it I think we're going to have fast conditions for both the oaks and the Derby this year. Yeah. That's the way it looks which is very exciting that doesn't happen all the time. So looking forward to that in the forecast is pretty good. We all know that the Weatherman is a lousy handicapper but you know it's one of those things where. We've got this little bit of storminess next couple of days today tomorrow and then then beautiful weather for the weekend. So looking forward to some fast and hopefully firm if not for me be good on the turf course. Glad they're protecting the course today not racing on it because we saw what happened last week at Saratoga when they? Raced in the rain in turf was flying everywhere. So this this is all good and we're ready for a big weekend. Weatherman kind of like Major League baseball players, they get paid well to be right about twenty, five percent of the time. They may not get paid as well as Major League baseball players, but they they get paid anyway. All right. So we had plenty of news in the last twenty, four hours. Of course, we'll start off with the two pieces of very bad news that we heard yesterday wondering the show was that art collector who likely would have been the second choice in this year's Kentucky Derby came with came up with a minor. I WANNA say. Injury. But minor ailment. On his left front foot left front hoof after working on Monday it's enough that he's not going to be able to run in the Kentucky Derby this year. But the good news is we will likely be able to see him in the preakness in. October is just GONNA miss a couple weeks it's just really really bad timing and feel so bad for his connections Tom jury owner, Bruce Lunceford and Jockey Brian Hernandez. Speaking of when it rains it pours jude we found out yesterday the Brian Hernandez actually tested positive for covert. In the strange part was he had tested positive one day in the next day. He tested for the antibodies use as a non-contagious. He's not he's as symptomatic. So he's kind of in no man's land right now, Brian Hernandez waiting to hear from Churchill, who I think is waiting to get direction from the CDC and places like that as to whether he can actually ride at all this week at Churchill aside from suppose you know on the road to ride art collector as of a days ago he's got plenty of other big. Stakes mounts this week. So it would it would really be a bad bad timing bad luck for Brian Hernandez if he does not get to ride a churchill this week. Yes that's a shame and he's such a wonderful guy and a hard working guy. He's been getting an art collector every morning pretty much he only missed one day this week that I saw So you know it's it's just when it rains it pours and. Poor Brian I mean but you know the whole thing. The whole situation around art collector is is not good. I mean that was that was very. Disappointing to hear, he wasn't GonNa, make the race and you know his his little booboo. So to speak he, he clipped a bulb of one of his feet. They wanted to give him some antibiotics. They can't race on those. So it was just something that happened and it always seems like right before the big race or right before you're going to sell your prize yearling something happens and you know it doesn't always go that way but it just seems like the closer you get to the big event, the dice here it becomes. That's true. So He's out. We did actually have eighteen horses draw in to the Derby yesterday because kind of under the radar Belmont entered South Bend to run in the Derby. We were not expecting South Bend to go in the Derby he had never really been on the on the trail. Yes. He had finished third in the Ohio Derby only or rather second in the Ohio Derby to Dean Martini beaten three quarters of a length. He was well beaten fourth in the travelers last time out He wasn't really one of the ones who was pointing all the way for the Derby at least not publicly but you know what? You don't have to be public about that you just have to. Be there when the time is to enter and he was and he makes the field of eighteen and they drew yesterday no surprise that Tis the law is the heavy morning line favorite. He drew posts seventeen in a field of eighteen. He is three to five on the morning line. The last time there was a horse that was odds on in the Kentucky Derby Jude was nineteen ninety-two Rasi. He was four to five. It did not go so well for Rossi he finished eighth day. Of course, a Rasi was a fresh in the minds of of most of the American horse player from what he had done in the previous year's Breeder's cup juvenile at Churchill downs under pat? Valenzuela still. Is Far as I'm concerned, one of the most electrifying if not the most electrifying races that I've seen. Personally, meaning in my lifetime, not seeing black and white from. Sixty years ago something like that did not work out very well for a Rasi three to five on the morning line. For Tis, the law and you had the opportunity to make our H. RN fantasy derby morning line a.

"Think he'll get better with that recent belt off the two month break de Martini was good in the. Ohio Derby when he got a nifty ride along the inside Jimmy Grand Wins, the lottery says for Thomas his trainer climbs aboard and I think you've gotta use shared sense, Brad Cox Falange Roo he's in other words. He's gotten better. As the distances gotten along or maybe he's You know he's got that good. He's a golf and he's got the Godolphin pedigree by street sense So four over three, six, nine, twelve. The. First, we covered the great one ballerina race seven on the Saturday Saratoga Card and I. Think it will be the return of number seven come dancing to the winner's circle. She's already want to over three lifetime starts at Saratoga loved her race in the vagrancy last time out despite the fact that she was beaten as favourite. I. Think. She's getting back into good form and I think she is going to get a nice cozy stalking trip from the outside. I am going to where the turf meets to surf at del Mar on Sunday the La Hoya. As. "He won a match race racing easy goer here on Thursday at Belmont, so at least he comes out a field of fourteen, and if this warning line holds up, I could be rich if I'm right after the after the while. I'm thinking the same way so I to my knowledge. This is the first time ever that the Ohio Derby has gotten the Breeders Cup juvenile champ from the previous year in the race, and that is number thirteen storm the court I am not a storm. The court fan I would love to own the stone storm the court specially. I would love to own about six months ago. but I thought that that Breeders Cup Juvenile Win was as co close to fraudulent as it gets for that race the horses who were by the horses who figured to run well. We're awful and horses. Who finished one two three four really haven't gone onto a whole lot. Since. Then stormed the court as probably done the most since then where he's been third fourth races like that against tougher competition than what he's going to see tomorrow. He doesn't have a very good post though he likes to be close to the pace, and there's a lot of other speed in here I would certainly use them, but I think number. Six sprawl is my top choice in this spot for Bill Martin. Paco Lopez I liked his allowance win last time out at Churchill downs. I know it was an allowance race and not a stake. Stake race and he's facing tougher competition tomorrow. than what he saw last time out but he may be getting good at the right time and I think he's going to get the right trip now. Unfortunately Joel Rosario who wrote him in that race is sticking around in New York because they have so many other. They have multiple graded stakes races, and you know it just makes sense to stay there, instead of going just for one race where fifteen to one in the morning line at this'll down, but I think sprawl should be better. I think sprawl at fifteen to one has to be played because he's going to get the right trip and he's going the right direction, so I'm gonNA use him on top. I would use number thirteen storm the court. In my exotic or in my horizontal plays as well because. You know he is the class of the field. He's faced better competition. This I'm just not sure what the pay scenario and his post position if I would want to take a short price on him. I. Don't want him for any price. Give me him a twenty. Don't want I, don't want him. I don't think he's. Much worse and I think he's a horse. You want to try to get out of the GIMMICKS here. I I'm with you. What sprawl spoils five want it best? A. The morning liners. Bedlam, it's absolute bedlam. You could've rattled a Bingo cage and pulled balls and made a better morning line in this morning I'M GONNA use four horse. This kicks off the cross country. Pick five, so I'm using forces. Amusing topics Paul I'm using the three rowdy Yates who who ran well enough over a in the Saudi Jerry Scott Pete six LANSTON. Change flat one turn, Mile. On, those to turn races are good. He wanted sunland. They Remington Park. He ran well at Ellis Park over seven furlongs I think he makes sense. like I said sprawl. I think the number ten South Bend you and I've talked about South Bend the lot. The one thing I kept talking about what South Bend I don't think he's force. I don't know why Stanley kept running on the turf. I mean. He ran okay, I guess. I don't think Easter Force. DIRT, doors. And he gets back to the dirt. He's going to get them on an eighth and he gets blinkers off those raisins. We're blinkers to without. flickers were better, so I think he's the GonNa. Get lost in the shuffle on the tote board. That has a big chance and I think you gotta use a fourteen unrighteous. Todd, pletcher. Has always been looking around the source long ran out a flat mile first time out random, one of those and eighth races at Gulfstream second time out. Put blinkers on him and thought enough to run this horse a maiden in Tampa Bay. Derby he only one of ten to one that day. And he was chasing outside on the track. You know he was. Far, back outside on a speed favoring racetrack. went to oaklawn didn't have a clean trip, and then he got the Gulfstream, and he had a clean trip and Gallup now. He didn't beat anything that day, but I do think this horse has some talent I. Think this worse is very dangerous, and a big price gets guy into Sean Parker. That certainly knows how to win races In that in the Ohio Basin High Ohio River Basin all tracks. He's won numerous races five thousand racist for this, Guy. He's very dangerous horse at a price number fourteen unrighteous, those are four three six ten fourteen topic like bobby is the number six sprawl. It goes race number eight degrees three Ohio Derby with wrap this segment with the great to Nassau. Flat Mile Around one.

"This is extremely wide open based off the fact that none of these forces are coming out of winning efforts. A good amount of them have lost at least their last year as his Chalan she has. She wondered star to back, but that was in September of last year. This is her first run since October. children's had good races off delay throughout her career, so I'm not ever going to knock her for that, but still something to consider she'd been on for quite a while looking at this race from misdeed standpoint. Jakarta's the only pure confirmed from entering. Entering this race, she she had to really work in the intercontinental on the grass to try to make the lead. didn't work out now that she's going back to the dirt in a sprint race. That's probably around her best distance. She could be dangerous on the front end, and I do like that. Louis sizes aboard on this front, running philly a- she if she gets alone on the lead, and she's able to you know. Slow it down to a speed that she can go at pretty confidently, she. She definitely could you know hang on for. Two Wire I I'm not super convinced by dancing I I liked that she's getting back to what she's used to buy park. Strengthen all the things you want from her. Of those last two efforts were not very good of this. This is a breaking class and Getting run to her raises last year at Saratoga. She's she's going to be dangerous. In this race. tour says I'm not convinced by mother, mother and Royal Charlotte. Royal Charlotte ran fine off the layoff last time out, but other than that winning the prior s I've never been super convinced by this silly she. Has Been Impressive of the heart of the company seemingly got in. It's not even that company the were. She seems to run, so she's she needs to be you know show me that she can hang with the lights of come dancing, other chaloner in NBA competitive and mother mother. She's lost doors in our last few races but I am really concerned that chilling one win in her last ten starts. She is pretty low on the morning line. I imagine it'll hang around at that level of at post time just. She has not been able to put together a winning race against this level before and I. Don't see it happening here. I'm going to take off the layoff, but I am cautious that Jakarta take wire-to-wire, so she's definitely in my exact. And come dancing for third because I do like that. She's getting back to where.

"Dale. And air it does bring up a point. I am a little bit concerned on Owen. Dale and the fact that he has yes, he can close an. Close in a slow fractions, but I haven't seen him do that in. Racist? That he's going to face a company that he's going to face here so I felt comfortable enough to take the shot with that non probably going to get burned, I. Did I handle this race over on youtube with the U2 preview? So if you want my full opinions on that head over there, but I will say that I did take by my standards. To win this race. I threw in the shot with Pirates Punch I. had him running ahead him running second I'm going to have. Tom Saito third and silver dust fourth, which an annoying just for the record throw owned ill in fifth so I don't think o.`Neil is going to run bad, but a just for me I wasn't comfortable with tech going with Owen on top just because I do think he does have a little bit. Of something left to prove in terms of what kind of pace is going to get, but we'll see on that. One of us is going to be right. One of us is going to be wrong. I'm not paralyzed by being wrong I have opinions voiced them, so we'll see how that turns out this weekend so now finally we're going to transition into talking about races at naira, and there's four really good graded stakes on his car. There's only one grade one, but. Two of them, definitely the fields in them definitely have the potential. You look at the field in a vacuum I think these are great one races, the first one that we're going to start with easy. The vagrancy six and a half furlongs on the dirt at I, refer older fillies. Excuse me Belmont Park for older fillies and Mares and This race will bring back. Come dancing last year. Who ran some big race at Saratoga? Last start in the apple blossom wasn't really super confident about her. Stretching out I always felt she was a more one turn horse and I feel like this is more. Back into her alley Royal Charlotte last year's and other one mention. Chad Brown always really good with the phillies Royal, Charlotte ransom really good races last year. One of her big victories last year was in the prior s when she break even who? has come back to be. We knew before going into that race, but break evens another really solid female sprinter Bob efforts here with mother mother, so it's an interesting race. Another horse, Jakarta. She's a little bit of a longer shot on the board. If you remember back to the powder break, Gulfstream, that race came off the turf, and she really Nice winning effort there, so there's some interesting routes to go in this race. The question that I have with come dancing is. It seems like she's getting older. you know when she was running new? York last year. She ran some good races, but I. Just I don't really know what I'm going to get from her. In the older age, but I'm going to give her a shot here to win That's really the only knock that I can find for her Other horses were Royal Charlotte. Also was really solid last year but I go with come dancing here. Even though there are some some red flags, Breeders Cup performance wasn't something super made me super enthusiastic about her but I'm willing to draw a line through the last race I don't think she was ever horse that was going to go out and do well in a race. It was as deep as the apple blossom. WHO's GonNa step up and a big effort in a race like that..

"Is really going to look the other way. And moving onto the other races, Churchill card seen conditions as this mile and a neat the, but this time for older males on the dirt and This is the Breeders Cup classic winning. You're in racing this racist. Wide Open I. The term wide open means that it's an doesn't necessarily give the connotation. I should say that it's. A group of horses. That's a little bit less town, but this is a loaded, wide, open, very deep race. There's a bunch of different horses in here. That that we like in here, there's the three stakes winners that jump off the paper for everyone Tom's Day ta one. The Clark Handicap last started Churchill by my standards has been the so far this year. With the performances that he's had I'm willing to put him ahead of Thomson for the moment and then Owen. Who jumped back into the picture with winning the blame stakes. Last start out off the layoff so three really nice horses on the top of the courses. Below those like sober Dustin Pirates Punch who have run really sneaky good races. In their last their most recent starts, so you know there there's really only one horse in here that I can feel comfortable, drawing a line through, and that would be a horse like multiplier There's other than here that I think are going to be speed handicapped, but. Really Deep Group. Really really ultimately really fun race. SUPERFUND. I think if you if you told people. This was the group you were. GonNa get for this race three months ago. They would have been super excited into now. We look at it, even.

In I just also want to mention that I will be having a preview on this race Lee later this week on Youtube as well as the our steaks and we have the next two races that we're. GonNa talk about the two races at Churchill. Those are already up there. Churchill was really kind to us and drop the card very early on Sunday afternoon, so we were able to get that out there really fast and the first situations we're going to talk about. is the flea at Churchill downs mile an eighth four alder phillies in mayors on the dirt, same conditions as Breeders Cup distaff. This is a win, and you're in for the breeders. Cup distaff, and this brings back one of the top horses in the United States midnight. Be Sue. What could you say about her last year? She was spectacular in so many different ways the with all her consistency. She's a good ride in the Breeders Cup distaff away from being an undefeated horse of the year in two thousand nineteen, and I will not back off of that. I've been on that train. Where if she won that race, she was going to be horse of the year I. Still Stand by that and I will stand by that She's obviously the class of this race. There's other good horses. Here's Karen Getty empress is. Very trip dependent, but when she gets good trip, she runs really nice races and Google Yourself. Talk about is one of the one the new races on the Kentucky Derby points trail, and that is the Ohio Derby at this'll down in this race actually turned. Very very much better than I think it. You could've guessed it to be by the nominations. This race does bring back a line Breeders Cup. Juvenile Winter Storm the court and it's really this racist going to feel really weird because there is a Breeders Cup winter in here, but a readers company clips award winner, but he is going to be very under under respected in this recent rightfully, so he has not run any good races. Outside of the Breeders Cup and his maiden race. Lying through the del Mar Futurity, obviously since the since he lost a rider at the start of the race, but the San Vicente wasn't really that good San Felipe left a lot desired and the Arkansas Derby. He was running. He was running in tougher of the two divisions, but the Arkansas Derby was just. Really just kind of put the nail on the head that strong. The court was the the beneficiary of a lot of good lot of beneficial things at least on his part happening. And you know so strong court dot really not really tons of respect for him at least on my end, but. He is going to get a bit of a class. Break here, so and the other thing about this. There's a horses that are coming off of recent maiden wins or Race or win allowance razors very few horses in this rate race that are coming off of stakes wins Rowdy Yates is one of the only multiple stakes winners in this race, and he actually has not won a great state, but he's been winning listed in black types. Throughout the Midwest so he is one, but this is a racer, I. It's just all over the place so. You could honestly go so many different routes in this race. You could go with storm the court. Maybe hope that the class break helps you or take a shot with some of the horses that are a little bit unproven..

"Keeps it going, she might just be one who maybe not this year, but a year from now could be running with the boys You know getting getting ready to run the Breeders Cup mile a year or two ago? And moving onto the grade to pine. Ridge and I do have to correct myself I. I called this race the Penny Ridge last weekend. Pronunciation is one of my things that I do like to correct myself if I do make a mistake on that so I just want to address that, but the winner of this race decorated invader. We mentioned that a three year old is probably most likely going to be one of the courses that ultimately takes the lead. In the distance divisions on the grass and decorating invader. If you go back to the run that he had the Breeders Cup juvenile turf, that was a terrible trip. and. He's still rallied up to. TO FINISH PRE FINISH PRETTY decently in that race although he did not win. This race in particular, the nine Ridge He didn't really he wasn't really facing the best competition, but it didn't really matter when he won by five lengths relatively easily so really impressive, even though he wasn't facing the strongest group of horses or usually, we're really big on the show on passing the test with horses more so than anything else. He definitely pass the eye test so probably as is the case, most likely would sweet. Milania decorated. Invader will be on to Saratoga. Probably run in a race like the Saratoga Derby later down the road so good good to see that. Coming back from him. He's to this year it really starting to see the consistency least with him. "Or the daily racing form you to channel Bob Baffert Mike Smith. They've got the morning line favorite in McKenzie coming off a long layoff. Mike, you're going to try to beat the source with another one based in southern California, its core beliefs around about two miles when he won the Ohio derby. Yeah, we'll see what happens. I mean, let's there are a couple of bigger names in this race. This is a really good field and I'm not sitting here suggesting I'm way against horses, like, McKinsey and Hoffer. But on the other hand, you know, it's not like those horses. Don't have some questions they answer in this, but I just thought maybe the race when a little bit beyond them and would allow me to look for a little bit of a better price. Did that with core. Beliefs. He's number five in this race. We're gonna look at his own derby. Now this is his big win so far. He was very, very wide throughout this race. You can see him on the outside. He's going to run down trigger morning on the lead. He's gonna just out finish a ground, saving low and salary and get up. And I thought he ran really well and here the race that caught my eye before this was the Peter Pan. We're finished second, but I thought he ran the best race and that and that's about by far and then he came out of this race and I don't know if you guys felt the same way, but in the Haskell where he was fourth, the ten, first of all, I don't know why he was last early in that race. He wound up on dead rail. I thought all through the stretch. I think he ran a little bit better than it looks. He's a price in here. I want to take a shot another. That's going to be price at least on the morning line fifteen to one in your top, pick Manet's horse that you've always been a big fan of. We have to deal with a little bit of a layoff here, but you're getting a better price than the favored who has to deal with the layoff, and we'll see what happens is the first time to instill regard goes out for Chad Brown. It's been. He's been in New York for some time, and it just feels like for one reason or another, they've needed to give him time. Before they bring them back into spot like this, this is a horse. I feel like a lot of people have forgotten about because we haven't seen him since the Kentucky Derby ran pretty well that to finish fourth, his two prior starts in Santa Anita derby, the risen star. A lot of people were disappointed. I felt like there may have been excuses, I think sort of Israel coming out party at least made it seem like he could be a decent horse was we're going to all the way back to the Los Alameda suture Ernie. We've shown this about fifteen times on this program throughout the courses best year, but you get the gist here Aereas on the outside. They threw them to the wolves. Keep in mind. You got a good horse to the inside. You're gonna face MacKenzie again here on Saturday..

"He won the indiana derby very comfortably but that was a level of competition certainly overall weaker than what we're going to face so we don't know if that i'll translate or not the ohio derby win is looking better because gurban came back to win the haskell right how uh and i actually found myself betting on gurvich at kohl so i know you have without doubt yes i did i was so i felt doubly vindicated there and i was at the haskell was strictly a uh a really exciting race you know just touching off a crack it on the wire and and uh you know if you look at who has iraq beaten italy be gurban us weirdest thing about by much but he did and then uh mc either already beaten mccracken and uh for it and on the other hand always dreaming won the derby in iraq was way back so uh if it's going to be the most exciting race of the year i thank you once said that academia your first life was about one upsmanship which is fascinating statement your second life money lending was about making a profit it seems that both of those elements exist in horse racing so where do you put the sport on that continuum well i've kind of learn that a harsh racing is not a if you play horse racing has a game of one upmanship uh you're definitely gonna be the loser because it's been said it's a very humbling game and it certainly certainly is because.

"Uh they'll be a little bit more reluctant to go to the front end and and knock cut themselves after to come back and look at the connections in an end come up with excuses why they were on a pace going 21 going to turn so that one horse and i think could be dispute the speed is just a little smoke the four horse stretching out i think he might be tough in this spot in so i'm going to use that horse but i'm also going to use the two closers that i think have the the the the best ability to come late that's going to be the nine school for school board for press and the eleven sunny days whose first off the claim like to think that the the claim was made in order to try to get this horse ready for this spot so in this india in the first leg race seven i'm going to use the four the nine and the eleven going on to the to the feature the the great three ohio derby a you'll see some some some derby horses that are back you'll also see some derby day horses that are back in those horses typically take a ton of money on the and these days by iraq for me is to one that i thought he was on the good part of the track acumen and his poor run in the derby suggest that might be the case untrapped i'm not really sure he wants to go to turns an end so we'll see it will see what's going to happen with that one in this spot they'll probably takes a money and then durban i was a little bit reluctant to toss gurban in the spot just because i didn't really think guard was going to run well in the derby he kinda ran through my negative opinion ran better than i thought he was going to run running thirteenth in that spot but for me it's all about liu tracing here uh.
