"In particular, it's explosiveness. It's Where's the explosiveness? Where are the big plays going to come from? That ultimately decides football game? Where is that going to come back? All right, so Alan Robinson produced big place Jack Darnell movie Go to take a big jump. Yeah, I believe he is going. I think they have some of the components there in order to do that. All right is David Montgomery's solid and with the return of Tariq Owen really bolster the running back room? And making explosive year. Okay, so I think What really played them. Last year was the fact that the guts of this team particularly offense on the office line, We're just not good enough. Think it wasn't good enough. They couldn't capture the line of scrimmage to the point where they could produce the explosive plays in the run game and protect the pastor's well enough. In order to run a drop back passing game type of office. So what does that mean? They could probably address the offensive line. What It doesn't really, you know. In theory when you're looking at this organically how you should build this team, so they build it inside out. So they take care of the interior and take care of this office line? Yeah. But the quarterback position is just so underwhelming right now. And you just don't feel as though that it will have the you know the kind of trickle down effect on these perimeter players that I was just talking about in a way that will produce explosiveness. But again, it just leaves you feeling like, you know, like, Well, where the hell are we? With this with this program built what is the right option? And I think what that what That means is this is something that's going to take. There is no quick fix. This is a multiple move type of rebuild that needs to go on in Chicago. It isn't just about the quarterback. It isn't just about it. Officer Lyman. I think this is a multiple move multiple multi layer type of fixed. That May just be wind up handed wind up being handed over to a new regime. That's what that's just ultimately what I think. And I ain't saying that because I love Matt, Maggie's dear friend of mine and someone who I trust and some of what I believe in I think because of how things have played out. I just don't think they're gonna be given the time to do that. Because I think that this means more time. Then just one player. It's It's more than that. It's much more than that before we let you go real quick. Who goes Number three? That San Francisco is it? Mac Jones, is it? Justin Fields is a tray lance. Yeah, I think it's macro tray, and I'm gonna lean towards Mac simply because the intel that I didn't get says that this is someone who I believe they're gonna have to be talked out of internally amongst themselves. I'm taking More, you know, And I think the likelihood is that that's not going to happen. I think it's going to come down between Mac and trade last personally, and I think it's going to be Mack Jones. And then after that, let the games begin, my man. Have a wonderful Let the Hayden begin. It's gonna be awesome. Have a great day and again, you'll be on ESPN coverage. Just remember one thing. Just remember one thing Louis always tells you decisions. Actions consequences love it. No, that's for life. What was told to me, that's for life or the draft, right? That's right. "You know, you write down and capital you know, you play the majority your career down there and who pulled down there, man that will be perfect man, and he's sure came to pass and You know, it couldn't happen to a greater guy. That's nice. You guys got the like the click. You know what kind of the inside group there you guys could do like inside joke. Another great. I hope to be a part of it inside joke. Some days. You're so ridiculous. What do you come out? All right. No, no about I'm making pop culture references. Just for me. Ben is weird. I wanted to ask you about your guy Tom Brady winning the Super Bowl number seven. And I mean, listen, by the way, Stevens were doing all these film breakdowns. If you find 1/6 round quarterback that you think will fit for the Broncos, By all means, you know, let us know If there's a guy out there that can have the same kind of career path. I think they would help the Broncos out what I hear the hate coming out, man you get you think it's easy, E. I was ready for Tampa Bay. I was rooting for shack Bear and I was rooting for my guys. Mason and James, go is so who do you better? You know, I had to buy that. Let's just put it that way. I see. Yeah, I bet. Okay, see, but that doesn't really matter. If you were really sound like until you feel about a question us. Hmm. What's important? What's important here? Is that your guy, Tom Brady one another championship. What did you think about right now? Mm. That one. Not two. Not just go DJ calendar on me. I think he did. Oh, my goodness Missing there was him screaming DJ Kallen down. All right, Steve, tell me about your before we lose this thing. What? What did you think about the Super Bowl man? You know what? It was really a great game. Uh, a great defense of game, especially by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Um Yes, they couldn't get anything going and I've seen this play out and I was telling you while we're watching the game with here, that it kind of reminded me of wind We were in the Super Bowl operas you get Green Bay Packers, Nobody gave wasn't chance. Yeah, like my life the same way they think they have it down there. You know, nobody's given the greatest quarterback. To play this game. I thought of my quarterback John Elway. Uh, The greatest quarterback to play the game. Nobody's giving him cracking. You do that. I can use that, like he's not on the field. Right? You say it all. The most important decision on the field is the quarterback. And you got the greatest one out there. What you thought was my home. Well in fairness. In fairness, Patrick Mahomes has done some pretty special things. He did some special things in that game, but just didn't quite work out. He's awesome, but he hasn't made it to Tom Brady status. Shit, man. You saw one of my line man. He looked like a little kid man he was given but work. So that brings me to a very important question. Something that I posed by tonight. We're doing this again. Didn't he brought it up? He brought it up. All right, Steve. So this is the deal. So I I put out there The fact that we've had examples in recent memory Cam Newton was the one that I brought up. We've had examples in recent memory off quarterbacks taking a step back. After a tough Super Bowl loss, especially against an elite defense more pressures than any other quarterback in the history of the NFL. And listen. It was a tough day at the office for Patrick Mahomes. I said it wouldn't surprise me if Patrick Mahomes had a bit bit of Ah, ah little bit of a known us step back. Seems kind of strong. Maybe a little bit of a hangover after this. What do you think? Well, it's possible. They had him Officer Lyman that were her correct. Yes. In fact, they started Mike Rivers known Super Bowl liability at right tackle. Yeah. No, I mean I'm a realist too Well, you know possible homes. I've seen him play all year, So he's probably best quarterback in the game right now. But all the time. Tom Brady is the best. And you know Canon City they had They had some issues, man. They couldn't get going offensively of the amazing defensive game plan, Andre That's what happens when everything works out right for you, you know? And I I could imagine that Tom Brady gonna greatest quarter dead greatest quarterback ever with sudden these guys, they look, man, all the pressures on them. We don't have any pressure. Nobody's picking up the win. Well, I'm not gonna be anybody but Majority. The people were stating the case. Any team coming in and just blow out of Tampa Bay Buccaneers and I've been in a locked room. They were like, man. Hey, we're gonna destroy these guys that got him that much more height. And they get set up, man and again at office of line. They had some issues there. On my home didn't have the time that he normally have and go ahead. And, uh, you know, but right is trying to float this theory that Holmes is going to have some kind of Cam Newton like fall off after the Super Bowl because he lost wayward boys. I thought we were We were side by side. There..

"We love him, but he left us. He left us. I'm like. I'm happy that he hasn't sent him a box of first on the first people to tweet out that congratulate him and ground. Uh, like the locker room changes every year. You got places to go to different teams all the time. You got a friend said you went to college with it might be on your rival team in the NFL. Everyone does things. You always was everybody in the best. Of getting that feels like I got a couple of teams that play for hopefully don't go win, but I'm rooting for Tom on this one. Yeah, the legacy that he's leaving right now and what he's accomplished who amazing I don't want to have to keep on adding onto that accomplishment. You think that Bill's room for him? I do, You know, I know hoping bills. It's going to get something. They had a great 20 years together and etcetera, so don't duck. You can't break that bond that they have. Like you said the NFL's all about the business of one person went this way. One person saved by think he's rude for Tom. I'll see why he wouldn't do it, especially with the legacy. They have it and, uh Roof, that he, uh Put in New England that a lot of noise in the fans might I hate the fact is not playing there, but love the fact that he has the opportunity of the play and have the opportunity to win Super Bowl. Yeah, Now he's a legend, and there's no way you can change that, that That's a fact. That just things you talk about this opinions, and there's It's a fact that Tom Brady is a legend. Um, you know, let's go to the game and in particularly can city chiefs you mentioned you played them. You know, earlier in the season, and Pat Mahomes is a He's a pain in the butt as a defensive team toe corral and figure out what is the key is if there is one to containing him, you never gonna stop him fully. But what is the key to containing a guy like Pat Mahomes? You started living. It's a big place. Um uh, when when he's able to make those big plays with his feet and make those incredible passions and he had he's just gonna hurt your life. It's all about doing the job. You did the job. Don't that game and you do responsibility. Not trying to make a big play. Understand? Congress understand? If you're online, told an officer Lyman and making sure you try to keep them in the pocket. And when he does go scramble don't come out. It comes and you try to go get the sack. Staying comes you let him develop the plate. He's uh, read it out. That's the only way you could try to control him. But he's going to make this place. If he wasn't they wanted. You wanna be the player he used, so he's going to make all the place and he does. And this season two. How do you limit the many place that he does make and when he does make him Understanding that it happened and move on. But that's about the way to do it like we think it may have felt a ball 40 yards across his body in heaven, Dime accuracy. That's one. I don't get my okay. Yes, I understand your coverage. You understand? He's scrambling to the right. He might throw the ball to the left side. Yeah understand comes in understanding the place so developing Complaint never stops. And that's the best thing about that. That team is in play develops over time, and he is most dangerous when he's moving outside of pocket because everybody saw black and our coverage. You got the same coverage. You gotta understand that the play is going to develop and they're gonna make a new route. Continued T O Keep your eye on your guy and have a focus on one of Boston to go Lords who are the guns? He always tells the story of like, you know, when when he was playing, and and they put on the film of the opposing defense, getting ready for the you know, getting ready for the game coming up. And his coach would say. All right, there's a guy there's a guy don't worry about him. That's the guy we gotta. We gotta block him when you sit in there prepping and watching film besides my homes who were the quarterbacks that around the entirely that that truly make guys sweat where even if you're disciplined, and you have gap, integrity, blah, blah, blah. They could still blow you up. Who were those guys? Yeah, Marty, you got Ah! Dad, you got Ah, Shawn, you got all those all these Josh Ali. No, don't was never If you thought him they bring called, have gone. You're real good quarterback. Um, deep like all these mobile quarterbacks are able to throw the ball and let's not forget. You know, everybody keeps forgetting about Philip rivers in there like you understand what chance to play in the heartbeat. Like the old dog people they forget about sometimes, like, Oh, you know the new generation. You go over there, he saw checking killing Can Can you believe what's going on? He's switching to play hot now going to figure out what's going on. You got to be concerned about that. Um, but it is. One of those things is when they play with the Patriots and being coached by Bill Like a lot of cheese like this is the person we got to stop. He opens your eyes a little bit like, Hey, this multiple people on the skill that you have to understand that you need to stop now. Just a quarterback is tight and that running back and Mikey that Officer Lyman that doing good when I tied in demolishing people or that one player like Hey, If you get about him, he's running down the field, scoring touchdowns and need to see that in the Buffalo game. You got digs. You got anybody else. There It is Ever so focus on this is this multiple people They're able to make plays that is ignore about it. And that's the best ability. You didn't look at who's calling the embassy. A sect that game at that time. What helps you, you know? I was like, but I'm like, you know. But quarterback Lamar is a problem. I know. I know. We had a play that way currently botched and it was a two man rush and my coach looked at me here. Why? What's going on? I said just two of us. Russian, this Lamar man. I'm just going to stand and try to mirror hopefully, cover stains, and there's maintain that because we've got no help to play right now we're just sitting there. The head cut off my chicken. What are you doing with this flight? 40 on forces. You know, he forces us a defense to just I don't know. Just try anything great. Let's let's just throw it against the wall and see if it sticks because if you think you got to figure it out, that's when he burns you. Yeah, That's what those are Special quarterbacks, you know, like you see it, And when you see the stars in the development, and that's the first year you like, Okay, he's developing started seeing the development officer accuracy. In the will. My God, man. It's just a challenge Anybody and everybody does with the same challenge and every trying to figure it out. But we all we all seem happy time They're gonna They don't make a big play. Somebody's going to do this and be like, Hey, man. We understand it. We have got to eliminate harmony would get I got you. You know, before I let you go to little Lawrence guy, the Pats whose it was gonna be a free agent, and there is a free agent is with us here on the show. You know, you mentioned Josh Alan. I think we'd be remiss because we've spoken so much about him. I think you're a great player to go and a person to give us a great perspective on onto us. I know he didn't. He didn't play against you the first game. That was Fitzpatrick, but he did play the entire game against you guys late in the year. Well, what is your assessment of to a tongue of our lower His skill set is poised his physical tangible talent. What do you see? No, I like them when I was on the field, playing us off last night Had a couple conversations made play town. Let me shock him and everything but other night a lot of like what he had.

"The Dolphins training staff continues to look at a Landon Roberts, who went down to the grass grasping his right knee. Almost immediately, he's laying on his back at the 10 yard line. And the trainers continue. Have a look. Raiders will have a second down and goal. It'll be from the six yard line after there was no gain. On that run by Devontae Booker on first down all the Dolphin defenders. Right now we're down on me and almost a semi circle. Around Roberts. Yeah, That's something you don't want to see. I mean, they're nine and five there in the You got that last playoff spot at this point. And to see one of your stud players go down. Can be a little deflating. Players from both sides coming into just give Roberts a little tap and say You know, I hope it's all right. Give a little encouragement and now players from both sides. We're heading back to the sideline. Well, you hate to see this. Roberts of 50 Year Man out of Houston came over as a free agent from New England's And the CART is coming out of the field now for Roberts, let's take a look at the replay Rod. See if we can see What happened here to Roberts. He was coming up trying to make the tackle. Oh, he just Went down and reach back grab. It is right, me and he was off the block of the Officer Lyman. Then he grabbed the right knee and that's That doesn't look good gave Jackson is the guy that applied the block of Roberts for the block was up high on his shoulder. They didn't appear to be any contact on that. Me and He was going to the ground. He just reached in grabbed for it. Now the Dolphins again or Jogging back out onto the field as they get Roberts on the cart, Justo I'm a pat on the back.

"To a sidekick in Pittsburgh. Greg Lloyd. I'll never forget the first time I met Greg Lloyd. He came in the studio and he came in, like sleeveless. My man was so intimidating like you want to talk about a gun show. You remember Greg Lloyd? You remember the way he played? Remember the way he got after it. You remember the way he carried himself do this dude was intimidating. So here's Kevin Greene talking about his running mate, his sidekick and Pittsburgh. Greg Lloyd, You have a brother on the other side of you in that three for his own pressure blitz schemes. He was half cocked. He was just screaming. And you know me on the inside. I'm freaking out, have a little time and would just yell at each other. I'll meet you at the quarterback, and we couldn't get there. Quick enough at the quarterback, you know? And it was just great playing beside him. Having green coming on this show, talking about lots of different things. Also talking about the matchups. Talk about offensive tackle Erica Williams, 6.6, bro and £330. Great feet and and mean freaking militant brother, man. I mean, we battled. We've fought and really the only way you beat that is you fight fire with fire and got it, boy disposition for an officer Lyman, which is nasty and meaning, you know, the pity and angry and he wants to pull your heart out through your throat. Well, let's take care of green. Find me somebody who met who had more passion for the game than this guy who love the game or this guy. How can you not hear that Want to run through a wall? Or not want to run through a wall. Having green went on to coach He coached the Packers for the Packers. He helped him to a Super Bowl win over Pittsburgh. And I don't know how you can hear him talking to Clay Matthews without getting chills. I'm gonna roll the clip right now, but it's no shock. That after Matthews had that conversation with Kevin Green that he went out, and he forced a game changing fumble after having that conversation,.

"That Steve out water joining us here on Broncos country tonight, Steve, I want to go back to the offensive line. You were talking about them a moment ago, and you You've been a big offensive line guy like like I've known you for a while. And I remember talking to you years ago about how that that really was kind of the function of whatever optimism you had about the offense, But this last week, the offense had one of their best games of the season, and you had three different offensive lineman. Is that a testament to Mike Munch check? Is that a testament to the relative depth of the offensive line? What do you attribute that to Do. You definitely got to get my money check. Ah, lot of credit there. Just, you know, for hanging in there, you know, seemingly coaching these guys up and then you know, you gotta get a guy's credit, You know, because in the end, they gotta go out there. And they gotta put what they've been taught in the action. And then you know, they got to give the effort TOC play to the whistle and, uh, you know, I remember when I played when I play a long, long time ago, but one of things that I hated what? Anything with those offensive lineman playing to the whistle, you know you love Officer Lyman, who You know, he brought this guy for a couple of seconds And then he watches us Do I think he left his office? Less defensive linemen go and keep the line goes to make a tackle. And you know, we've got 678 guys around the ball, and they're sitting around watching. Those dreams were You know all you know 55 of those offensive lineman. We're going into the Western man are you hated hated that man, and that's what they've been doing. They've been making where Secondary, the linebackers, defensive lineman like man, Come on, I got stopped. Now The play is over. And you know that's that's what you gotta have The T O be able to be productive on off inside the ball. You had got out Offensive lineman plan to the whistle. You know, I got to shift too far away from the Broncos, but I was watching the re watching the game. And the Carolina has his kid. Uh, defense who looked like he plays pretty well, Jeremy Chin. I'm not sure if you're familiar with him at all quality bloodlines there, But he you know, he looks like he could be something in this league. What do you think about Jeremy Chin? Yeah, He's an awesome young player. And he's got a great attitude about football and you know you watch him play. You know what if he loves the game of football, um, you know, he's all over the field. Uh, you know, a couple weeks ago, he scored two touchdowns and back to back defense plays, which was just unheard of am in the right place right time hustling. And even making plays all year. He's in the discussions for defensive Rookie of the year. On. Do you have a really, really proud of him and I'm glad they didn't get the way. I'm glad we got which one in the car line and get the dog. But I'm definitely proud of him as a player in this young man. Yeah. After the game, talking about his uncle Steve, it must be a real family oriented guy. Yeah, you know here, you have to give me any bread easily. Did it all you say the instincts on the back to back touchdowns he had against Minnesota with. Would that be something that that you have ever experienced in your entire football career? Yeah, I did that 45 times. Okay. All right. I see. I couldn't. I couldn't remember off the top of my head. I was gonna see if you could. This, Kathryn? Oh, yes. Yeah. Oh, man, Steve, it's always good tol have you on especially after a Broncos win? Thank you for the time to die, my friend appreciate it. Absolutely felt. Thank you guys have a have a great day and we'll talk to him. I hope you got some me to talk to you soon, the great Steve Atwater. And, uh, just hit me with that. Yeah. I mean, Yeah. All right. All right. I got it. I got it, Steve. All right. Go to bed. Georgians. Good e. He's really good, really good. And it was fun to like I was gonna get him. I was mad I know on the Broncos would have had an opportunity and they need a death of safety. Right? I mean, they need a young death of safety, Tried Marshall and analyze your holder her the death right now. I mean, you got well, parks back. Maybe you were able to hold on to Philly will But the fact is, they went into the draft, basically saying, Well, it's Justin and Kareem and oil. Cross your fingers. Hope they stay on the field. I mean, for all the things that have gone wrong on the defensive side of the ball. And I'm not God would free significantly on this. That that part As we said, coming into the season, we're very concerned about the death. That has been a problem so far. Yeah, that's it Hasn't That's that's one of those things. And now, though, this preseason when we were upset about the death now, all the sudden that fruit is kind of coming to bear, But you know, they made it 75% of the season without so.

"So how can you tell me that your team didn't have a quarterback and other team just had a guy who hasn't played quarterback in five years. Yeah, but I was just talking for the future going on for the next week. Like playing Atlanta. I'm mean, I don't know. I mean, we've been pretty good without quarterbacks. You know, I think we got like, seven in a row when I breathe. Look, everyone. I just think that it may start slipping down. Do you believe they will? No, I don't think so. Look, the Saints are nine and two. Okay. All you gotta do is hope with the ass teams at the Saints have to play the rest of the season. You just have to go out there and hope that you know, they just drew Brees can come back healthy and that they can get into a rhythm. The Saints already have moved in to having one of the best defense is in the NFL. And if you think about their upcoming slate, they've already miss Drew Brees for two games. They beat the Falcons. They beat the Broncos, who had no quarterbacks. They play the Falcons again. Then they play the Eagles, which are disaster. Their biggest challenge is the Kansas City Chiefs. Then they have the Vikings and the Panthers. I mean, so it look, You can't look at a team like the Saints who are nine into and yes, they're missing their starting quarterback, and they're trying to figure out what they have. And Taysom Hill. I'm not gonna put the Saints in the same category as the Cardinals or the Raiders or the Ravens. I mean, these air real teams and slumps that should legitimately just be like, Whoa, Things got real ugly. We got to dig ourselves out. The Saints is sitting at the top of the division. So, Brad here do you drink beer brat? Still I kind of quit every day, you know, you know. Okay, well, God bless you. Don't worry about it. I will drink the beers for you. And then I will. I will relax and I will. I will give you advice. Just chill out. Okay, just very quickly we got we got people from. We got people who want to yell at me. Go ahead. Do you think they're gonna hold the number one seed? Oh, yeah, the saints. I think so. Yeah. Over the box. Yeah, Absolutely. Yeah. Don't worry about it, Brandon. Okay, Things will be okay. Thank you, Brad for calling from Louisiana. I asked for it, and I got it. Got people from Cleveland. Is going to yell at me, okay? So wherever you're at right now. I need you to If you're driving good, you already seated. You're at home. Sit down. If you're at work, make your money. Listen. My wonderful people in Cleveland, Ohio. Tell me about the Browns. Curtis is calling from Cleveland Curtis you on CBS Sports radio. Hold my beer. A. J. R. I know the media don't like Cleveland of their version. We love that. But let me ask you a question. I was in the brown. I'm a little re Gene's got a better run into them right now. But what the Steelers and the Saints in the teeth, But imagine this question. Do you know of any other team? They got you all star wide receivers and all star tight in two All Star running back this four star running back Real all start. Officer Lyman. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. Maybe the bucks other than the Browns. Okay, All Stars office and again, three off Star defensive lineman who all star for the back. They're the only team And if the history with 14 all star, so Stevie wonder could see I'm taking you take it out to Stevie Wonder could have seen this coming. All right now, at the end of the day, I get it. He's Stevie Wonder. Can't see anything. I get it. Go ahead. I'm just here Is this team? I'm just talking back now. This is a team with 14 all stars. No team in its history ever had that. Okay, My dad and my life. Well, I I have a question. What are all these all stars supposed to for the Cleveland Browns? The three Well, the last time OK, well, an immediate disrespecting the most talented team in NFL because it's in their embarrassing immediately. There is no team in the NFL with talent that they just name. I'm right here. I got another time. Maybe well, that he was in the ground. They got 14 all stars starters. Obviously okay. I'm not. I'm not denying anything that you said okay. I'm not sitting around counting counting all stars. I'm sitting around counting talent. I'm sitting around counting what the talent can do as a team. Congar. Oh ahead and look at a Tampa Bay Buccaneers team who I would say has Pro bowl talent all over the roster on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. And they can't get out of their own damn way and all year by the way, they have probably the most successful quarterback of all time. So it doesn't matter how much quote unquote talent that you have. It matters what that talent is doing, and I can go. You know what? You're right. And we got another caller and thank you, Curtis for calling from Cleveland, and I got a whole lot to say about these Browns. Thank you, Curtis. I mean, Curtis is happy that he has talent. Oh, my God. The Cleveland Browns finally have talent. Wow. Mike is calling from Cleveland. Mike, you are CBS Sports Radio. What.

"With one thing that's gonna send Kyle Shanahan to the loony bin is turning the ball over because if they don't turn the ball over yesterday, I would dare say that they beat the Rams easily. Not that anything is ever easy in the NFL, But it was the turnovers that got the Rams back into the game. And also, the Rams made. You know an adjustment defensively because the Niners run game was Was kicking her teeth in in the first quarter in the first half. But the limitations for this team it's turning the ball over. It's just it's just simply turning the ball over and Nick Mullins God bless him. I mean, that dude is E No, He's not trying to throw an interception, but damn it when he throws the ball over the middle, you just your heart stops because you're like, I don't know if this thing hits the ground. It's an absolute miracle. If it's inexorably every ball beyond every party is like a 50 50 balls. Well, Rod. I mean, how much fun would that be? If they played the stake for your football? Anyone That explains easily. Come on. All right Out of those. Thank you. Thank you, sir. May I have another It's all part of it. You know, they made plenty of mistakes yesterday, but then they also forced plenty of mistakes on the other side, and they made up for it by You know that when that play where Jared Goff breaks the pocket, and he's scrambling, and and you knew exactly what was on Jimmy warts, mind it was not just tackle him. But making pay for it and stripped the football and you had to know that that's exactly what Jared Goff was thinking was all he's going to try to strip the football and he did strip the football in. You know the interception that That, um, that Sherman had that that just look like somebody who you know, was in the playbook and knew exactly what the Rams are doing. And then the great play that Kevin Givens made. I mean, that's that's every bit Know him scoring that touchdown as it was Jibran Kindelan. Might I add? Carry Haider kind of sealing the deal by blocking that that Officer Lyman and allowing him to get in so For every mistake they made. They came up with something better. There was there was a play. You know where I thought Call CNN and blew it like it is the third down, play third into and you know, sure, it's on Nick Molins, but Shanahan could have called the time out to save the delay game. So that you know that was a mistake the Shanahan made on the sideline, But then he comes through, you know, with one of the really good decisions of not only going for it on fourth down on that final drive, but Making the right play. Call one that probably not too many people expected to pick up that first down, so I mean for every mistake they made They came back with something better to end up compensating for it. And if you're expecting the 40 Niners these last five games to play mistake free football. It's not gonna happen, but he's the key. The key is Two for their guys. You know, some guys you've never heard of. And some guys you expect to make the big plays. The key is for them to just compensate. For the mistake's by making even better place coming back on the other side. Yeah. Any truth to the rumor that tramp all keys already called John Lynch enquiring about Tamara Taylor. Right? Well, he has plenty of guys on the pretty dire to choose from with all the injuries, so Yes. Um yeah, we'll see how that one goes, but I mean, with a with a jug Jags make him there. There's a little man to man choice. Yeah, I don't know. No, no, no, they are You Let me let me ask you about the Kinloch place. You mentioned the youth check play on the fourth down. I'm not a big fan of trying to fool people with the fullback. I I just I'm not. It worked. It worked by The slimmest of margins, But I have 4 30. Happy yard. I want the quarterback Sneak. Mullins isn't great at it. I'd give it to my running back. It works. I was cool with it. But every time I see a fullback, miss on 1/4 and a half year we try to fake somebody out is like, what are you doing? You doing trying to fake somebody else? But it worked. So you know what? Whatever. Let me we had a weird sound by Kim Lot talking about the pick six where he said he was supposed to rush, but he didn't. He just kind of felt like, you know, he saw something so drop back and kind of did it did his own thing, And I'm wondering. I wanted to get your thoughts on that because I think on one hand It's really cool when you have a guy who is supposed to do something, But instinctually can kind of see something and says Okay, I know I'm supposed to do this, but I This That's not going to get many words. So let me just do this. I think they can get you a lot of places. But you better be right. Because if you're not in football when you find yourself doing things you're not supposed to do. The whole chain breaks down. How do you see that? Do you see that as a good thing that Hey, He's a really good football player and he's instinctual. Or do you look at and say, Well, maybe he's a little undisciplined. And that may lead to a few plays here and there, but overall, it's not going to lead to. Ah, uh, Tim benefiting the team, or I don't think I don't really think it's either of those things matter to be honest with you. I think it's one plant after Seymour, but I was curious when he said that what you thought of that Well, here's in. I will have a better answer for you later in the week because I don't know how how he's coached. I'm assuming we don't know the whole story on that now. Typically when a guy Typically, when a guy does something off script, it's It's kind of a selfish play in the in the sense that, um, I wasn't supposed to blitz but I did anyway. You know one of those things where I want to make it. Where I can. I can kind of see the glory out now what? What? I'm curious, and I don't know the answer this and that's why I sailed off. Ls this question later in the week? Robert Salas. Is that something that he's coached to do? Hey, if you see this, go ahead and peel off. You know you're here is your responsibility, But I'm giving you guys You know the power if you if you pick up on something Then you have, you know, Was it film study? You know? Did he see something that that you know? Was he coached up properly? And did he do a freelance that was within the defensive scheme. In other words? Was he doing something that left them vulnerable? Or was he doing something that took advantage of? You know his time in the playbook? So if the answer is B Then it's an incredible play by a rookie who you know when he showed up was about on the rocks and oyster, and now he's you know, he's really making strides if it's if it's the other if he was just like dead tired, which I don't think.

"Even when you become he's investing guys gonna make catches on, you're going to make plays on you and you've got to be able to bounce back from it. And as you know, man at that lot You know, it's a lot different plant out. I don't know that. You know you gotta either game to get up there and jam amore or be often read. Read quarterback wise words in a slot. You know, you got to know where all your the guys are. You know, you got to know. Ah, in this coverage, you need to take outside away a duty to take inside a way and you know, don't have help over the middle second, you know, take outside away and be strong on the outside or do I not have any hope? In the immediate middle. When I got to take that inside away, That's a big difference for playing the outside. And then there are two totally different positions the flag corner on the outside. No, definitely. Steve Atwater joining us here on Broncos Country tonight, want to stay with the defensive backs and talk about Michael? Oh, Jim Oudea because it has not been smooth sailing the entire way. But I feel like the last two games. He's shown improvement in each one. Now he had a pretty rough. Rough, Pretty rough pass interference called against him in that game. I beg to differ on that one. But otherwise I thought Michael Jim Moody and played over No, it wasn't. No, no, I'm sorry. Look, look, I I understand the Euro Hall of Famer and that maybe you played the game. But me is a guy sitting on the couch knows better. That was not a p I and I'm frankly kind of offended. You said that Those B I and the crazy thing about it. He didn't have to do it. You know he was in great position of the world. Do not knock the ball down and you know, so we'll get there. I mean, he probably was thinking about it Now I want to get before touchdown, and you know, may have panicked a little bit, but you know, that's part of the growth process. I'm really happy with the progress. I want to see him when he goes to make those tackles. Stay on your feet, man. You know, drafted those guys. You're a big, strong quarterback. You don't need to go down low and get him in the knees like you know, like break, Callahan and some of the smaller guys do right. You do that. Raise me from this phallic tackles. Man. I want to be there for Michael J movie A. I want to get in the mix. Next raid them. You bring the physicality of the cornerback. Andi just, you know, checking those guys. What you did in college versus you know, going Lo put the legs and then break attack was an audit. See, I bristle square upon it by some square upon Derrick Henry it that that maybe we're not even proud for a minute there. I was, like, Hey, guys everywhere, you know, Would you Would you say that the fear that Michaela Cambodia had on that play on his face with similar maybe to the fear that Ryan Edwards had when you two were foot racing? Ah, they're in any Very similar. His face right now, If you could see this just so crestfallen Y'all got jokes. Y'all got jokes. Steve. Money was low enough that they too. Oh, yeah, I'm sure you still smoking and you and you had to run uphill and I had to run downhill and then I couldn't believe that. You know, I make Steve have tto strapped to a sled run with UT Still alright. Ah lot Last couple questions here for you. Steve Atwater, Georgia's as usual, OK, Steve wanted to ask you about what the Broncos we're able to do against the Jets and what you will your some of your takeaways in that game. That make you believe they're going to be able to carry some momentum into the Patriots game? Wolf. I think your first authority with that offense line about they played better. I feel like if you don't go all the way to the world who still look at the film, and you guys have a really good block and he come off the block. And you know the the guy who could come up with? Go on, run and make it, you know, get in on the tackle. And I want that goblet to the worst sort of where you know they may not be the going Block their guide, But they can block somebody else to stop the guys from paranormal deep inside the body of one of being a defender, ice to hate those officer Lyman man running down the back top of running back and then Officer Lyman hidden. It's like, Oh, man. Uh, but I want to see our offensive lineman Do that cause headaches for the defense of guys Go to the little man. Go both with wind, but they did better. I thought they'd be much better about the doctor. That Damn did it did a really nice job. Ah, no girl bowled. It is lineman in the game. Quot Profootballfocus. He did a nice job cooking. Very play better. Ah feels a little bit dull. He's struggling a little bit out there. I think you need to see him picking up. I'm sure he will. You know all doing together that they were veterans sink this game to passing off guys in and being on the same page. I was happy to see that Um yeah, that that I was the biggest ache for me Just that office London obviously know, Brett rip and been able to get the win, You know, doing smack right past making quick decisions. On DH thought thought. Ah, no Going. Did a nice job, too, You know, being followed being reliable and Um, you know, making making big plays when he falls hard Now we don't get hurt. By the way. The fog I gotta roll when you hit that man and let your body take the whole brunt of the world, the world Yeah, he does. He's such a playmaker and worth every penny. I guess that, uh, that they spent on him So far, I'll cool though. Wasn't the sea Brett ripping out their lead black and for him on that final one to kind of feel it, don't do it. The defender coming back in with side But Melvin was just enough to get that defender up to make a myth. I don't have to tell you that was great. I would love to see that. You know, just always got he's got heart man. He's doing everything he can to win being scrappy, and you know that's what he has to do. And it's a big Broncos country love that. If Steve Atwater was still playing, and you were playing on that defense when you came up for film study after the game, who would've gotten who got yelled at for that Sam Darnold run? Oh, man, you know, I know you want me to go get my boy Justin and Kareem and Allegany Donut man because it acted sometimes and I could see you from justice his point of view. Hey, he was running full speed made a cut back on him and then You got the Korean, Jax and I thought he was about to go down and he didn't get it was be finished in a tough position. Because if you come up and use you got your mind set on Linda got out and he flies. Then you hit him. You gonna get penalized? But then he did keep running like Sam. Donald didn't directly run you over Big, evil city quarterback so they could took you They want to and you know what? Give Sam Dong McDonald's process. He made a good play on that one. We'll be better The next time it did happen sometimes, but I'm not gonna I'm not gonna you know you don't. Yeah, I know that. I know that. They know they're playmaking. They'll make the play nine. Time's up. That's actually the answer. I wanted to know if you go back and you look at the tape and you watch you Khun sees he's coming down..

"Happens when the ball's in the air. Right. Right. What's going through your mind? Matty was so the quarterback you know, he moved up. He converted as a state the world's top, So essentially, it was almost like double coverage, You know? And so I had to make him miss it. The land of script because all this is going global boom. You know, you've got to make these decisions quick, you know, So okay. So I see that the safety come over. See the cornerback on my nose and make him miss And now I'm looking at the safety. I go look at the ball in this in the air, So I loved to do was always that was always taught that you can run faster when you hear the spacing straight straight ahead. When you're looking straight ahead as opposed to looking behind you. So I look the balls in the air. I put my head down and I started reading. That could Yeah. Then I looked up again. John, the cast the flight of the ball. It is like like the only overthrown Zay just killed, running kept running hard that could I just laid out. As far as my little body could stretch and was able to corral the catch. So that's what's going on, Mike that the state he was coming off the top, and I saw the light of the boss. I say we put my head down runs fast. I can't at that point. He's at a disadvantage, especially if he doesn't take the proper angle don't mean because of the natural angle of his rotation. He's gonna come going towards the sideline. He's rotating towards the sideline. Well, I'm going vertical of the fields, and now he has to read directives of knockers the flight of the ball and try to go vertical with me. And then at that point, he lost that foot race and I was able to die about their catch the ball So it's been. I won't even say how many years has been a while. Alright, since that game and How many times have you described that play and that catch since that, I mean, it's got to be an unbelievable uncountable number of times a countless amount of times by tell you hope that I hope that the excitement in the energy of the play still comes through when I tell you about it today because I'm just so excited today to talk about it as I was, you know. 10 years ago, 20 years ago when I first talked about, so it never gets old, and it's just one of those play that it just brings something out of that game. Alright, had broken a streak for Notre Dame. They I think they had one for five and roll. Lou Holtz had been very successful a big against Big 10 teams. Yeah. What was it at the end of the game when you guys finally beat Notre Dame? What are your memories of that team and that in that day, it was a special day, man, You know, just like you said, you know, they were thorn in our side and be completely honest with you. One of my favorite games at Michigan during the regular season was the year. Before that. We played up in Stop. Then in that game was like a night game. And Jonah. That place was packed to the hill. It was standing room only if you think I'm lying. Brother scored one touchdown, the stylus for two touchdowns that night, right, But one was like a hitch route. And when I went to the end zone, I promise you. I just disappeared to CIA fans. That's all day. It was like Officer Lyman coming trying to pull me out of the crowd. It was standing room only It was a magnificent game one of my favorite regular season games while I was at Miss Kit, and we actually lost that game at the end, But just the excitement of it, it was a night. Of the back and forth and it was like a heavyweight heavyweight match. So the 91 Notre Dame game propelled you onto a season where you win the Heisman Trophy. When you look back and you think about you know, there's only been three Heisman Trophy winners at Michigan. Only two at that time. You were the second when you think about your legacy at the University of Michigan. What's it mean to you? Wow. It means a lot. I don't even know if you really can put in the word. You know, It's just this is a special place has Just wonderful tradition means like because you think Michigan you know, you think about The academics. You think about the football program and, you know is the winning his program in college football history, So they be a part of that, especially in another cell. And then to be able to now is very fortunate play for a living legend in motion battle to be able to say that in and of itself to meet me in the lateness special and he is my favorite coach, everyone any level so they had to be able to have such a legacy at the school that you love and you respect so much you have Um, so much admiration with at the university. I don't know. You know if I could actually put into words managers Is this tremendous When you look back? Obviously you had a few moments in the NFL, a cz Well home. It's it it. It's just it's kind of comparing apples to oranges. But when you think about your, especially that 91 season, I know that there's more to your career. Then, obviously just that, But you want a Heisman Trophy. It was Ah, monumental season. You've played in Super Bowls. You've won awards at the NFL level. You've you've climbed the mountain top in so many different areas. When you look back on your career is a hole. Where does where does Michigan fall? Where is the Super Bowl fall? Where does Where's those moments? How do you separate them? One from another. Yes, it's really difficult. The question I'm I get asked a lot is like you know which one is more meaning for the Heisman or the Super Bowl. M v P And because I've been blessed with twin boys I just used as example, I listened. I got twin boys and they're not even identical. Like they're fraternal twins Do they are different. You know to me. It was like, you know, both are different by lovable equally. So that's kind of how I look at that. You know. So how do you answer it before you had twins? Ah, well, big. Yes, you would. But if I had, I would say if I had twin boys, So you mentioned playing for Bo, right? What was it like being recruited? Coming out of Ohio by both sham. Bechler mean Bo is larger than life at that time. You know, at that point in college football, he was it. You know, he was that guy. And to be recruited by Michigan. And then Bo was. Ah, That was significant. Me vote, you know, behind school Coast New devotion. Becker was interested in you that coach we had something special. Yeah. So before we let you go, I've got to ask. We have seen so many people strike the pose. We've seen Presidents strike the pose the one that you did against Ohio State that same year 91 for the Heisman Trophy. When you see it happen, and you see other people mimic what you do and you see, and I'll even go further. Like When I was because I watched that game and a soon as it's done, right, you grab a football Then you go outside and you say, I want to make a catch like Desmond Howard,.

"But if you act the guys in that locker room, who that number one stud officer Lyman is on this team they're going to say turned Williams Act Bosa, right, And both is going to get better because of it. The entire defensive line is gonna get better of it. The entire offensive line is gonna get better because of this guy. A guy could get out on screen. He can pancake your corners. You say the's your linebackers, other guys one at a lot of energy to this all fans that actually upgrade their running game. They're all I'm expecting the 40 Niners to be all world this year. I'm trying to figure out how we could run a left tackle around. I want to get him the ball and let him run. I'm all in. I think the two best ofsixty offseason acquisition because I use only a rookie. Are the two guys that played for the Washington football team, and they're great players travel a little bit ordinary, but this first game He's just so odd. So maybe go back to when you played for the Ohio State University or What did you ever play in the league? Dante? Where For? Whatever reason, he didn't take a single snap in the preseason and your head have gotten play. I can remember when you and I were doing 40 Niners pretty game live together. We sit up there with Japanese and you talk about contact courage, and he got a tackle and the 40. Niners upgraded their personnel dramatically last year, and that's why they were better, but they tackle they were great tackling team at 18. They were not. So are you concerned at all early in the year about their ability to get guys on the ground, since they have not done that. Well, I'm not concerned with only their ability. I'm concerned with every team and individual defense plan a National Football League ability to make tackles because you don't have O th is you don't have many camp. You can take guys live to the ground right now. In practice. You don't want to many live period out of fear that guys, we're going to get hurt. So right now, I think that the best thing that guys can do is to get with their teammates and actually practice that tackling the teams that tackles the bets. We'll win football games early in the year and now we'll carry on. Include a year make sand. You always say if you can keep your missed tackles under nine combined everybody on the defense if you can keep the missed tackles under nine for that football game. You can play wall on third down, You can win every football game. So I would say tackling is number one fundamental thing that all teams must focus on and the 40 Niners exclusively must focus on tackling and getting guys on the ground. Dr Dante Whitner is well every week during the season, you'll see him on TV before or after games. He does a tremendous job there. Big the big guy that they gain in the offseason. Arizona was DeAndre Hopkins. I'm sure you played against him. He's been in the league since 2013. What? What's your opinion on Arizona? Acquiring him to top three. Why receiver National Football League? The quarterback is gonna make him Hey, likes to run around a lot. They don't really like to get the ball out on time, too, must want to use his athletic ability. Let him improvise and make plays down the football field at the 40 Niners. Defense alike and contain him. They don't have to worry about DeAndre Hopkins, especially in a covered three system. When you keep everything in front, you tackled a guy you forced. Turn off if they can't keep him in the pocket back when you have to worry about DeAndre Hopkins and the rest of their receiving corps, Because now you know you're using ah guys athletic ability and they might run around and you have the latch on it. And then You know, you just can't keep up with a guy or you just haven't train that hard in the offseason or you're not physically capable of keeping up with a guy. That's when the big plays happen so they can keep him in the pocket. They don't have any worries. You don't have any worries about the artery, Hopkins or the quarterback situation. Hey, real quick Before we let you go you played. Obviously, when the night has lost the Super Bowl to the Ravens, they're coming off a Super Bowl loss. Is there any difference? And they've talked about a redemption tour? What is it like when? When you kind of you guys kind of came out of nowhere like this team. You go to the Super Bowl. Then you come back the next year. What's it like? I think that it is. It's not right for him to even speak about redemption. This is entirely new Year is going to be entirely new players out there entirely new system is a new new year. Don't worry about redemption. Worry about winning the first game worry about winning the second game after that, and then you yume articulate down the football seas, and then you get to the playoffs. But don't go into the football fees and talking about a real band, because if you don't win football games now they're going to point the finger at you guys saying Hey, you would have favors to do it and you didn't come all the way. Just go about your business as you did last year. Don't worry about it. Anybody's picking you to win the Super Bowl and go out there and practice play and get back to where you were and then finish it this time. The best man. We look forward to seeing you this weekend make it's It's weird up here. Is that everything good down down where you are A Newport is the sky clear and everything like that. Yeah, The sky is clear. The sun is shining. We still have to eat outside a restaurant, but it's all good. Very good man. Look forward to seeing you. Thanks as always. All right, you guys So thanks for having me. Stephen Kodansha, nine. AM there on every game home. That's what I mind. It's It's long. It's started nine You were kicking a 1 25. You know, on Sunday? Yeah, that means we go from nine. "They talked about how Ben Roethlisberger would fly to the homes of Officer Lyman and Maria Monica Graham Luggage Now nobody knows about those things. But if you don't think those offense alignment of other ways to do more for Ben Ross's burger when he flies to see them In their home towns in the off season. That's what's being a great quarterback is all about things that nobody knows about that builds like incredible chemistry and trust. And loyalty, and that's what it takes to be a great quarterback in the NFL. So the teammates in Lake Forest talk about Mitchell Travis Keys leadership, But I know he's the guy organizing the offseason workouts and neighbor during the pandemic, finding ways to work out together in a local high school and that he's the first guy in the building in the last guy to leave, and everyone's like Yeah, but he sucks. He can't hit a open receiver or he can't do this. Or you can't read that defense at what point does it? You know what? Don't tell me what a good guy is in the room or how much his teammates worship him. Find me a damn guy that can make someplace. Yeah, You're exactly right, because here's an interesting dynamic. When you're running a team, you deal with your head coach and your owner, you all the time, right? And you're touching base with the media agents. You try to watch Phil try stands out of league all but at the end of the day, you're dynamic with the locked room need you the most important sort of precinct that matters and they're the ones and I've always had a good smart veterans like the Mike Pouncey's of the world of Curtis Martin. Nor I could give you 100 of them, but the ones that look in the eye and be like, you know, like you blew it on that one. Or this guy stinks. Or, you know, you may think that he's high maintenance, but he's great in the locker room, but they're the ones that will tell you the truth. And it's the ultimate meritocracy. And the guy may be a great guy, and he may be a hard worker. But if those Chicago bear players don't believe that Mitchell Travis, he could take them to where they want to go. All that other stuff just doesn't matter. Mike Justin from as a fan. From my standpoint, I always Found value in the preseason games. For starters, Maybe it's just for Siri's or two, but it just made me feel good as a fantasy. Okay, Exactly how far along is the team that I'm rooting for the team? I'm watching. What's it like now? Again? No. No preseason games. Everything's practice. You're not goingto face another team. How difficult can this be for some teams do not have that preseason game for evaluation or just hit somebody else. Yeah, I'll tell you where it's really most pronounced to me is in the NFC East because Philadelphia should walk away with this division. And here's why. Of the four teams. The Eagles are the on ly a team of before that has the same head coach and quarterback returning. That's a massive advantage this year with no preseason games, So you and I talked to a number of teams the last 10 days, and they're all saying the same thing, which is It's really hard to evaluate. Could you just don't know? You know what you have and again go back to capture earlier suggestion. That's why the vaulting Freeman makes a ton of sense, but they have a couple of younger guys on their roster that maybe the Bears could hit on. But you can't go into opening day and know whether or not they know what to do without again the best of a joint practice of scrimmage or Preseason game. So I think this is the year of continuity and to the extent that teams have returning quarterbacks and head coaches will be make a huge difference before we let you go if they get decent quarterback play out of whoever it is. Do you think because their defense is so good that this team can be a surprise team. Yeah, Cap. Absolutely, you know the way they're built. There are really a fascinating thing from a standpoint that clearly if you were drafting the quarterback's like they're in a tough division..

"You're basically describing And I think if any team could somehow capture that in a bottle, they would they would obviously try to you. Don't you love to bring in the next Bill Belichick or Andy Reid? I mean, across the gym hard. John Harbaugh is another example of head coach out there. So I mean, what? What? How did Mike Shanahan How is he able to maintain that level of consistency for so long, and it's such a high level? Well, just by knowing what that he was doing one and then you know, he and Mr Bolen had an amazing relationship. You know, he and John and cool. Ah, and everyone in the organization. Hey. They messed well, and he just did a heck of a job, and he was Really great at reading people and in annoying, You know what we need to do? He relied on the people needed to rely on and ah You know, he just He did amazing job the but only as a person who's calling offensive plays but just running the running the football running running running a business, uh, He did an amazing job. What's a good Mike Shanahan story? What's what's Ah, Ah film Room story about Mike Shanahan. That really sums him up as a coach. Well, our money first got in, and I think we're about to play the 40 Niners and Ah, you know that point out they got ever had much success against 49 you know something, he said. He's like a, um We go out there and play against 49 is I don't want you to Fiji, right? I don't want you to see number 80. You know, I don't want you to see Roger Craig. I don't see a number. I want you to see John Taylor, you know, and Don't look at it like that. It seemed like I played better. Ah, against the 40 Niners. Ah! So again, just you had a way of communicating for the players way of simplifying things. Ah, and it looked like he was kind of looking through the same glass that we were looking through. Sometimes. We have to communicate that to the players is priceless. Steve Atwater joining us here, Broncos ring a Famer, Future Hall of Fame We're talking about Mike Shannon. What did you think about the Patrick Mahomes deal? Too Much of a surprise, Considering we knew once it got done, it was going to reset every market. It sort of made sense. I think we're kind of saying over and over on the show Last night is just how There aren't really many players that come to mind where no matter what was offered out there, you say Yeah, he's probably worth it. Right, right? Yeah. I mean, you could have given a 50 like I was alive, but, yeah, I'm hoping what we have We have this conversation about your luck in a few years, too. Well, if we are having this conversation, dinner's on, drew right. Oh, yeah. Most definitely got everybody right? Definitely the case. Speaking of Drew Locke wanted to talk to you about the Broncos offensive line in the amount of sacks. That we might be able to expect. This is a conversation where you get into a little bit later on in the program, but the content and look att what the numbers were last year. I mean the offensive line and drew lock against, including this because quarterback sacks are thing. Five sacks during his time there in those final five games Well, it feels not really appropriate to extrapolate that out and say 15 to 17 sacks. Patrick Mahomes only took 17 sacks last year for Kansas City, which is kind of amazing when you think about that, especially with Kind of the structure of that offense. He does get the ball a fast, but he definitely obviously uses legs looking downfield. Sometimes that could get you in a bit of trouble in the broncosoffense. Can that offensive line actually. Put together sub 20 sack numbers. Is that the level of expectation you have and what does that mean for this offense if they can Man. It's up 20 sack number that is going to be difficult. Now. I mean, you said you gave him how many Well with with just with just Patrick Mahomes. It was 17 sacks. So I have to go find okay. I'm gonna go look of hers is well, Matt more numbers as well. But just just Patrick Mahomes in the 14 games that he played, which obviously most of the season You know, they only gave up 17 sacks, so maybe maybe you add in five or six more. That's still pretty impressive numbers. Yeah, well, I think that's going to be difficult. I mean, for any team, really? Ah, team. Where you have Three of your starters who really didn't play this number of steps with team this previous year. I think only get bowls and adult right place different staff last year. You know, whoever the center will be guy didn't play many snaps Ground glass school. He didn't play many snaps. You won't come out for Detroit. I think he's going to be a big asset on the offensive line You want. Zane team missed several games last year. Um, But if those guys can stay healthy with Mike Mancheck as the offensive line coach on, I think that In order for them to happen. They're gonna each have played 90 plus percent of the planes. We can have it. There were guys, you know, They hurt one game and mixed game hurt in this game all the way. Officer Lyman can have a cohesion that All the guys in there planning my garden snaps together, but if they're able to do that, I will go as low as 20. But I say 25 30 would be a great number for them to shoot poor mean. Joe Flacco last year alone, had 26 sacks. So you obviously have a bit of a challenge there, but But the numbers that this is what I find kind of interesting is you kind of look in that range of some of those quarterbacks and you see some playoff teams. It's not. It's not universal right cause Aaron Rodgers had 36 They had 36 sacks for the Packers with Aaron Rodgers. So it's not universal. I could look Josh Allen he, of course, hold the ball. Long time He had 38. Last year, but the top of this list I mean, you get into teams that are basically non playoff teams. Matt Ryan Cuyler, Murray, Jamis, Winston Kyle Allen, Now John Watson, Russell Wilson are in their at the top of this thing but again. It's just another stat that I feel like we probably should focus in on a little bit on because we saw last year specifically with Joe Flacco. How many times the sacks took them out of scoring range? Field goal range took him out of the Reds took him out of manageable down in distance. And when you're a team that's that's trying to get from wind small or lose small into Hey, we're going to go in and we're going to start dominating teams. You're gonna have to kind of focus on not Kind of shooting yourself in the foot, right? Oh, yeah, well without question, But again, I think it's going to bow down to Ah!.
