"I think next year it happened. I think the year to come, it's not gonna happen. You don't think we'll get ETF next year? No. No, I think we will, but when I think about it, do I care? No. I don't care, but also it's not gonna happen. I mean, I care for my bags to go up, but what is a ETF actually mean? It just means boomers can buy Bitcoin. Right. I mean, they can already buy Bitcoin. They just have to go through a couple extra hoops. But then I'm gonna do it. I care for my bags on the spot, but I don't care that much. Okay, do you think we hit a hundred K? Next year. Yes. I think we did undeniably yesterday. We had 200 K? No, I don't. I don't want to be at 200 K by next having. I think we can hit 200 K shortly after the next Harvard. Okay, so not by having. You don't think we had told you about having? I don't want any blow off the tops. Like, there's going to be a blow off tops. Do you think we're going to have a 60% plus drawdown at any point over the next year? No. We might. I think 60% are done. I think the leverage people like using like BlockFi and using unchanged using leaden and using all these different loan platforms like their leveraged. So there's going to be cascading margin calls. Yeah, man. I don't know. Where we are. That's a good rip. We did all right, didn't we? I enjoyed this. We can just carried on next time I see you in person, we'll just do a rip in person. Yeah, so I'm gonna be there. Can give you the date. You're gonna be in my head? I'm gonna be in your hood and I know the exact day. Can I say it? Is that an optic problem? I think you could say the date as long as you don't say where my hood is. March 1st. Okay, I'll be here. Let's fucking rip it. Yeah. So do you know why? Do you know what happened? I've got to go to Texas and I went to book a flight. You can't book direct flights from the UK to Austin yet, right? So I went to book it, and the connecting flight. I've been using this website snap travel. And the connecting flight was your hood. I was like, huh. I was like, fuck it. I'll just get the connection the next day, I'll come in and we'll have a night with my Odell. We might not record it, but we're just hanging out whatever. Well, I'm doubling down to chill, but we should have just ripped. Let's just rip it. We'll have a good time. Well, my problem is I won't have one of my crew with me. So I have a studio. That's not this. With video? With video, yeah. Maybe we'll do. Otherwise, I mean, I feel like setup studio. You don't have to bring anything. Listen, I would not rather do. I'd rather just go and have a night out with you. I can show you. For that as well. And I'll be in Texas for the whole month. I'll fly you in. Come make a show with me. What do I mean with Marty? Okay, I'm done. I'm down for this one. But like I said, I mean, when you're in the hood, you can just stay here that night. Yeah, I mean, cool. I appreciate that. That's very glue. The room is right behind here. I got a king bed. I can see very nice. Yeah, have dogs. They're great dogs..

"You know, he looks like the real deal. He's got his head on his shoulders. We don't want to mess with that. I wouldn't worry about Mac Jones. Mac Jones can handle himself in the locker room. He was Alabama. He has swag. He was at Alabama with a bunch of different personalities, every all of his teammates wore by him. The Patriots still, as of this moment, still have a lot of strong leadership in that locker room. Matthew slater still in there. I'm sure he would get involved. Guys would keep guys in check. Josh McDaniels would keep him in check. As far as offense is offensive meetings and stuff like that, I am not worried about Odell Beckham poisoning the whole thing. I just, I'm not, but you need, but you need to be smart and you need to realize at some point in time he is going to get restless. It's just make sure you safeguard yourself for when that happens. Yeah, I agree with all of that. My only point with the Cleveland time is, I thought it was much worse in New York. And it wasn't even relatively true. And I think people when they think of OBJ, they think of his time in New York. They haven't been paying as close attention to his time in Cleveland, Chris Bayless. We're going to be pretty good with Tom Coughlin. I think he was pretty good with Coughlin, and then it was new. I was going to say the slick haired car salesman. Ben mcadoo. Yeah. Well, yeah, if that guy coached you, you'd run all over it too. Chris Baylor says I doubt we'll have the best money to offer. Correct me if I'm wrong, Greg, this isn't really a money issue. I mean, I don't think, I don't think any of these teams in the hunt are gonna be looking to pay OBJ any kind of big time money. I mean, they're all going to probably be dealing with the same cake as far as that goes. If you look at Green Bay and Kansas City and I think every team is going to probably have the same kind of offer, which is, hey man, come in, play,.

"And similar to Kansas City, you know, if you look at buffalo, they have that one explosive guy in Diggs, Kansas City has the one explosive guy in tyreek hill. And we saw on Sunday, Green Bay limited hill to four catches 37 yards, and there was no explosiveness to that offense for Kansas City on Sunday. And buffalo's going through some of those same things right now. I would say though buffalo, at least they have Beasley. They do have a manual Sanders, maybe Sanders hasn't played as well as they were hoping he would. But, you know, buffalo, when you look at how teams are defending them, it would make sense to have digs and then somebody else on the other side like OBJ. That makes it very difficult. Back to my question that I wanted to ask you a minute or two ago, do you like it for the Patriots? Your personal opinion, should they go after OBJ? Do you like it? Why? Not, or why so? I do, I came around on it. I wrote a column this weekend about it. It basically stayed in the case four and against Odell Beckham junior to the Patriots. And in the end, I came out for. And I was a little bit surprised that I did, because he's not my type of guy. I am not, I don't want to invite the headache, especially since I think I have growing something with this patriots team sort of reestablishing who they are. They've won three games in a row. You have a young quarterback why put more on his plate than he already has. But here's why I came down on, I think they should sign them. And I think they're going to make a very hard run in him. I look at more for next year. And I look at this as more of a tryout process to sort of see, because this season, look, could the Patriots make a Cinderella run and be the first team ever to go to a Super Bowl with a rookie quarterback? Yes. But history tells us it's not going to happen. You know, so the best you're hoping for really for the Patriots is a strong finish to the regular season. Contend for the divisional title with the bills sort of slipping here. Winning a game or two in the postseason, but really building towards next year. When everybody's been in the program, they get a full off season, all that stuff. And I look at next year, the Patriots depth chart for wide receiver. We pretty much know that Nikhil Harry is going to be on. You know, he's going to be a free agent. Are they going to bring them back? I mean, maybe on the cheap if he goes out there and he doesn't have anything. But they're not relying on Nikhil Harry for anything. And then you also have to look at Nelson Aguilar. I don't think he's been bad so far. I've been, you know, he's been fine. Could they look for better? Could they say, you know what? That contract now doesn't look so great for the production that we're getting. Remember, he signed a two year contract, so they can get out of the contract next year. If they want to. And it would actually save them cap space..

"It is the Greg beard patriots podcast with Nick cattles. We are live live, everybody. Of course, we've got a start Greg with the news of the day that everybody has been tracking Odell Beckham, junior. What have you heard about OBJ in the Patriots? So what I've heard is the Patriots are in on it. They've had discussions with Odell's camp, but they are not the only team. There are several teams that have had discussions with him. I do not expect a decision tonight. It'll be interesting to see if Beckham sort of pushes this a little bit. It could cause teams like I would think the Patriots would get out pretty quickly. I think they're the team that pretty much stays their case and says this is the deal. This is what we're offering you. This is what you can gain by coming with us. Take it or leave it. And they don't want to be dragged out because there were initials reports from like justina Anderson saying like it could be a couple of days or he's going to take his time. I don't think a lot of these times one that a lot of these teams want him to take his time. I think they want him in the building as soon as possible. I think the Patriots would love to have him on the field against his former team, the browns on Sunday. And that's not going to happen if he takes his time and we're talking it's dwindling weeks now, what is there 8 weeks left in the season? And, you know, it's going to take him some time to get up to speed and all that stuff. So the Patriots are in it. I can't tell you whether they're the favorite or not. I don't know that. I know that in all my discussions with people around the team, certainly nobody has come close to shooting it down. That they would not have interest, which interests me because normally if they're not going to go full boat into something, then they kind of soft pedal it. But I think they're, I think they're fully in, I think they realize the type of acquisition that this could how could help them short term and long term, but yeah, the Patriots are in this. Any idea how they feel? Not only, you know, if they're in it or not, but do they feel like they have a good chance, a slight chance, a great chance? We know they're at the table, but do they feel good about the chips they have in the pocket? I think the way I would term it is, I think they feel that they have a pretty good chance at landing him. That considering Belichick, where this team is going some of the the veteran leadership on this team, I think they feel like they're in a good position to land Odell and I think I assume they're pitch would be convincing. Like, look, we're building something here, and look what we did for Randy Moss, who I'm sure Beckham has talked to. Look, what we've done for other guys that are similar to you..

"But you need to you need to upgrade around them specifically agile or like they just they need to be better on that spot and back them again. He's running windscreen. And look, that role that serves a purpose, right? Clearing out space, taking coverage with you down the field, offering some sort of outside one on one type of threat serves a purpose. But in this game, he got a lot of Dante Jackson and he was blanketed pretty much the entire game by Jackson. Who's a good corner, but at the same time, you didn't pay a guy $13 million to run wind sprints, right? And I guess you can sort of you can go out and go about it away and say, okay, well, if it's demir bird out there instead of Nelson Aguilar, then is he really getting Dante Jackson and is he really getting the safety over the top? And maybe a galore's, I guess reputation or status or whatever adds some more gravity, right? Some more gravity to the coverage. But at the same time, $13 million, a lot of money for a guy to just run into straight line every single game. I mean, you want some context here? Yeah, sure. Nelson Aguilar based on what he's done so far this season. 22, three, 35, two touchdowns. Yeah. 16 game average for that. 40 catches 600 yards. 40 catches 600 yards. Jamir burlas jamir bird last year. Yeah. 47 catches 600 yards. He's actually I'm rounding a bit. His 16 game pace in terms of catches and yards is below what bird did last year. It's about the same, but it's slightly below. He's had a pace on touchdowns, but you're basically getting to mere bird level production from a guy you're paying what 7 8 times what you paid bird. Right. So the question is, and you'd have to I don't want to keep dumping out the mere bird. I actually really liked the bird. I thought for a second, he caught that game when he touched down past last night. I jumped out of my chair. I legitimately liked demir bird is a football player in a person, but this is just the point of reference. Right, so the question is is Aguilar's status as a $13 million receiver that had a good year last year with the Raiders and all this kind of stuff his reputation is that good enough is that gravity is that defense is respecting his speed over the top. Is that worth a little bit more money? It's definitely worth a little bit more money. But I think we can definitely have a long talk about it being worth $13 million, right? There is a middle ground there, right? He's worth more than demir bird because he's drawing more coverage than damir burden he's drawing the number one guy and all that kind of stuff. But he's certainly not worth ten times more than the mere bird is at the moment. So we'll see what happens with this patriots receiving core. We'll see what happens if Odell Beckham junior makes a decision. And the next couple of days, Alex and I will have you covered. We'll probably try to go live immediately if Odell Beckham does sign with the Patriots. Here on patriots press pass, Alex, we hope it will be you, but if you have 98 5 obligations, then we will be live anyways, right? But we're going to try to do it. Alex, go ahead. I already have, if he does sign, I already wrote it. So I just got a coffee. There we go. Fill in a couple of blanks and it's a little look behind the scenes of how we do this. "Sign here, this isn't about the Patriots didn't want him. I don't want to see people in the chat on Thursday, bitching. Why didn't they sign hotel? They need Odell. They want him. They are trying to sign him. They can't force him to come here. He has to ultimately choose the Patriots. I'm not saying the Patriots are a bad option. This isn't me saying, you know, 'cause I know this was a narrative. Oh, Brady left and players don't want to play here. And players hate Bill. Like, that's not what this is. Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson are two top 5 quarterbacks. Yeah. Mac Jones has been great. He's not there yet. There's really attractive options on the table for Beckham. I don't think the pagers are out of it. I wouldn't be surprised if he comes here. But I just think at this point, the ball is in his court. I truly believe the offer has been extended. They think he would help the team. They want him. They are trying to get him. Now it's let's see if they do. I don't think this is a matter of them not wanting him. I don't think it's a matter of them thinking he's not good that they can get by without them. They want to add him. It really feels like that. So I don't want to see that. I don't want to see oh, they should have signed Odell. They know they should sign odes. It's pretty clear at this point. They know they should sign hotel. He just has to agree to come here. That to me is, you know, it's on him at this point. It's up to him. Yeah. So the last thing I had on my list of things actually relates to Odell. So we can go into it. At some point in time, and look, I love Jacoby Myers story, right? I love Jacoby Myers a story, but at some point in time we might have a tough need to have a tough conversation about Jacoby Myers because well, first of all, this was not a good game for him against Carolina. Right, I mean. He has the bobble play on third down where Mac throws him past the sticks and he bobbles it and gets tackled the yard short. I mentioned on the fumble, the strip sack by Brian burns that it was Myers that couldn't get open on the route that was taking too long. Forced Mack to hold the ball in the pocket. The problem that I see with him is not that he's not an NFL receiver..

"He's not quite that player, but he's still really, really good. And the one thing that I definitely saw on his Cleveland tape is why he grew frustrated with Baker Mayfield and his inability to get him the football, especially I think the beginning of the end for the Baker Mayfield OBJ relationship was the game against Minnesota in week four of this season. Beckham was open on the tape all game long for four quarters. And there were a couple of instances on downfield throws or baker just couldn't get in the ball or the ball was off target and incomplete, there was a couple of times or baker didn't throw him the football and held the ball and didn't go as direction. But Odell could have had a hundred plus yards in a couple of touchdowns in that game quite easily. And just didn't get the football and it felt like there were a couple of instances in other games where he didn't have those opportunities. And he wasn't getting the ball where he needed it. Now, max seems like the type of guy that when you watch some of the ways that they use the receiver is not necessarily here in New England, although I think Odell fits what they do in New England really, really well. I mean, if it's anything, he's that good. Right, going back to Alabama though for a second and just thinking of how they used jaylen waddle and devonte Smith in that offense and some of the you know the skinny posts in the slant routes in the over the middle type of things. And the one on ones on the outside. And the way that Beckham can go ahead and win both inside and outside, it does feel like on top of that, maybe he does have another gear after the catch that he just wasn't able to really show off in Cleveland because of the way that they were using him. Mac hits him in stride on a quick three or 5 step slant or something like that over the middle, and he's got the angle on the deep safety. I mean, those are the types of plays that Odell used to make, right? He used to run right by everybody on those types of throws. And Mac is the type of quarterback that can lead him in stride and put it right on the numbers and allow him to run with the football after the catch..

"Podcast network and on patriots press pass. I'm Evan Lazar as always joined by Alex barth of 98 5 and Atlas in the background. He wants Odell Beckham, junior on the Patriots. Alex has been tracking airplanes, helicopters, letting me know where Norwood airports entire flight log has been for the last couple of hours, of course, Odell Beckham, junior, now officially a free agent he has cleared waivers. Nobody claimed Beckham on the waiver order. So he is a free agent, can choose whatever team he wants to go to Alex. And I reported about an hour ago or so that I've heard three teams that have been connected to Odell the most. That is the hackers, the saints and the Patriots. Now, a couple of people have also touched on the Seahawks as potential suitors for Odell Beckham junior. I haven't necessarily heard that some dark horse raiders, conversations, but those seem like the 5 teams if you want to expand on my report that are really in the mix here for Odell. Yeah, I mean, that's all logical, right? Do the same thing. I know he can make the veteran minimum, but do the saints even have that money, I'm not entirely sure what your capital situation is. Their cap situation is tight. They don't have a quarterback, but I was told that the two most important things to Odell are playoff contention and offensive innovation and coaching, right? And I think a lot of people and they hear good coaching when I tweeted out good coaching, they responded oh, the packers don't have a good coach. You know, la flor kicks field goals in the NFC championship. Well, it does suck. Okay, but the floor sucks from the standpoint of game management situational decision making things like that. When I say good coaching, I mean a guy that's a bright offensive mind that's going to use the player to the best of his ability, not anything to do with did he kick a field goal, you know, down three or whatever it was in the NST championship game..

"A career low four and a half yards per attempt on Sunday breaking his throws down by distance. He was 9 of ten behind the line of scrimmage completed 50% of his throws in the mid range ever on passes of 20 or more air yards he was of 5. In fact, it was last two weeks. He's 9 on such passes. So Dan, they won the game, right? But you did see some things you didn't like about mahomes, what he did, what were those? I think first of all, offensive, trying to search for what they're good at, but when you're watching a quarterback that's struggling, watch his feet, like we did last week and then watch his eyes. Are they reactive or proactive? We talked about the two high safeties, right? That the chiefs are gonna get offense. Corner cover four. You got deep and that linebackers really got inside or outside. That's a read for Patrick Mahomes. Watch Travis Kelce. That linebacker is starting to flow outside. Kick the ball to Kelsey, but Patrick staring right at the back throws it out to him and you can't get third and three on a swing completion. Now I'm third and 11, huge playing this game. You got four strong. Look at the check down in the flat. Travis Kelsey is pointing to him. No one is near him, 'cause look at the space on the field that is wide open. 30 yards that no one's near that checkdown. And it's Patrick Mahomes was a young quarterback that was super proactive with his eyes. Knew the defense would move defenders open up crazy windows. Right now he's reactive. What's the defense doing? Where's the guy? And that's when you play struggling football. Feet and eyes, big for him moving forward. Yeah, mahomes currently ranks 16th in the league in QBR. He hasn't finished a season ranked outside the top two that he's been a starter. All right. Now let's get to Justin field Monday Night Football. Now, listen, they didn't get the win Mina but there were a lot of positives about fields and he showed some things, especially later in the game, would you like last night? Good things happen when Justin Fields throws the ball on the run. In fact, he's actually 9 to ten throwing the ball on the run over the last couple of games. Two throws that really stood out to me just because of the level of difficulty we're working with. First, this first ball to commit there. The quarter bytes on the run action, he boots left reset. Again, perfectly placed bubble but do not underestimate how difficult that is, and then here's the touchdown to Mooney. No reason there. I mean, that is just like this baseball player stuff. I don't know I'm trying to think a better way to describe it. Like, that's not a throw. Many quarterbacks in this league can consistently make this is why Justin Fields is special. It's a combination of like the talent with the fearlessness with the ability to make those kinds of throws on the run. The end said this earlier, remember when people said he wasn't ready, I'll just take that line over time because it was so good. Let's get to Baker Mayfield. His numbers were much better with oto Beckham junior off the field over the last two seasons. He had a total QBR of 44 with OBJ on field, which would have ranked 25th in the NFL since his start of 2020. His total QBR of 65 with OBJ off the field would have ranked 6th. So RC the numbers are crazy, right? And we talked about these numbers for quite a while. It looks like you smelled something bad and I understand why is the addition by subtraction for the browns happening when OBJ is off this team. Listen, it's absolutely confusing. Let's picture that we wore a skill group in lower was our quarterback. And we were the skill players, and let's say Mina kaim's is the most special of us. She can do things that none of us can do. She's smarter than us. She watches this as much film as we do, and she gets the numbers. That's who Odell Beckham junior was. And so if Mina leaves us, this show ain't the same old Tuesday. Laura ain't good. I ain't as good. Dan and he's good. Marcus ain't good, but that's not how it works for Cleveland. Somehow they forget about players and they go to plays and now Baker Mayfield isn't forcing footballs where they don't belong. Kevin Stefanski isn't doling up plays for number 13 to get the ball and it just works. Baker Mayfield becomes the alpha male, the play calling works to his success and they run the football like crazy. They impose physicality in the play action passes the thing. We don't want to see what it's like without me to come. But obviously, they're a lot better without OBJ. Yeah, the good thing is, Mina can't get rid of us, whether she wants to or not. No V day, once again, officially unclaimed, so now he'll be headed to a new team. We'll keep you updated as we hear more on that. Let's get to Marcus spears, a little bit more from him. As for Beckham's future, what do you think about a new destination prem? You still see him in the browns uni, but even as early as this weekend, he could be on a new team. Well, first of all, RC, I'm like, LL Cool J in any given Sunday, aka, Julian watch the get my stance. This is about Odell Beckham junior unlocking things for the Kansas City Chiefs. We just heard Dan alluded to the problems that are happening where you need an off schedule receiver. You need a guy that can create separation and space and create trust. Immediately, with a quarterback, and I'm sure Patrick Mahomes would be a welcomed guy for Odell Beckham, junior, who hasn't played with the type of quarterback that he would desire either in this trade and transition and even when Eli was falling off in New York. I could see this being perfectly matched. And yes, as much as I have screamed about the Kansas City Chiefs running the football, guess what's gonna happen if you get Odell Beckham junior? You will have even more formidable boxes for you to have success in. Hey there, I'm Julie foudy from the podcast laughter per minute and we've teamed up with ally from day one of our podcast. Let's get to the Pittsburgh Steelers who were able to win the game on Monday Night Football, but it got a little dicey there toward the end with the bears putting up a strong push TJ watt three sacks. Titus career high most by steelers player on Monday Night Football since James Harrison in 2007. We know that guy. Let's look at the Steelers season as a whole, right? Because everyone kind of wrote them off after the one and three start. How have they kept the hope alive as we've seen them rattle off four straight wins? They have the most consistent human I've ever seen as a head coach. Like he truly is the exact same way every day and everything we hear postgame. We heard that junk on Monday morning. And that's the exact same way that he felt then. And he just watches the way that it plays out. I mean, but you also look at this team and you think to yourself, the Steelers, when you watch the film, it's not impressive. We sometimes when you watch them on offense, defense obviously is, but then you look at their schedule and you compare it to other teams in AFC. They beat the bills on the road. They beat the Cleveland Browns on the road. But here is going to be the tough part for the Steelers. Headed toward the end of the season. They have the fourth hardest strength of schedule of any team in the NFL. And so we're going to see if this if this dominant defense is this offense that can't necessarily always produce explosive plays when in the end like we've seen them do another game. Sorry, guys. I got to be this guy. This guy. It's my favorite version of it. Heirs, bro. I get it. I understand and we excited about what just the fields did. And we know we know what the bears have been and they find in their way. But I just that performance last night, I can not go ahead. I just have a question. No one is. The cowboys are good? Yeah. Are the bills good? Yeah. Who the bills beat that's better than people to steal this beat? Nobody. Okay, interesting. I'm talking about how it looks on the field. I'm not talking about that. I'm looking at the Chicago Bears get dumb trucked. And then I'm looking at them half to fight and make a last few minute plays to win that game. Turn it off. I have not. I was completely on the yesterday about the Dallas Cowboys, and you don't want to be about to steal us. There still is don't look that great. Let's just be honest about it. Offensively, they don't look that great. Here's what I'll.

"Was personal. And that's what I don't like man. Yeah, I think you can't make this call subjective. If there's going to be certain rules or certain things that are initiated in this, they need to be definitive. If I need to know that I can't stare at people, I need to know that I can't flex my muscles. I need to know that what I've worked my entire life to do, the thing that I've stayed up from 5 in the morning to midnight every single night. The thing that I've gotten therapy and needles stuck from my neck to my ankles, the reason I've been in cold tubs in hot tubs every single morning. And the reason I've ran through film, 80 million times was because so I can make that one play. And you mean to tell me on that one play, I gotta calm all that down that went into this because somebody who can't do what I do, who ain't never done what I've done and don't know what this feeling is like, gets offended by it and I wish I freaking would. It's a good word right there. That's a good word right there. Bye bye. Coming off of what you said. I try not to beat this person. But this is one of those examples where it's unfair to ask somebody to be in that moment who has no idea what it's like to be in that moment. I agree that it was personal with kante, but they should not be asking the officials to make subjective calls. 'cause they have no idea what it's like to be in that moment and feel that type of emotion. Football's fun, only when you're good at it. But it's one on one. And the best part is proving to the other guy, I just got the best of you. And if you never done it, you don't know what it's like. It did nothing. I know. That did nothing to the game. Well, except for this particular I'm saying. That did nothing. The call then did actually determine a lot in this game. A developing story here on NFL live as a four p.m. deadline to claim OBJ off of waivers has come and gone. So officially unclaimed, and now he's a free agent for the first time in his career, Adam Schefter joining us now on the phone, Adam, what more can you tell us about OBJ in what's next for him? Well, Laurie, now, officially cleared waivers, he can talk to whichever team, coach player, he'd like. And I think what Odell is looking for is over the course of the coming days to be able to speak to organizations to get their ideas about how they would like to use him about how his role would evolve in that particular offense. A lot of times you see a player who clears waivers strike a deal right away. I don't think that's going to happen with Odell. And when I say right away, I mean today, I think this may take a couple of days, but I certainly expect him to have a deal in place by the end of the week because if he's on a roster by Saturday four p.m. eastern, he gets paid for this week. And if he's not, then he does it. There's no reason to take this decision past Saturday when he would lose a weak worth of salary. So he has a few days here, two, three days to talk to organizations, get an idea of their thoughts for him and his thoughts for them and make a decision. And I think what he's looking for is a team that will be a playoff contender, a team with a good quarterback, a place that he's comfortable. And so when we use that criteria to me, the teams that fit that criteria would be Green Bay, Kansas City, New England, Seattle, New Orleans, and then it's a question of what he wants to do and what these organizations pitch to him would be. And again, like I said, I think I'll take the next couple of days to talk to them and then make a decision about where he wants to spend the remainder of the 2021 season. Adam, I'm just visualizing OBJ in his new uniform. He could play this weekend, right? Yeah, absolutely. If he gets a deal done this week, he could be active for this week although I would think the longer he goes this week without getting a deal with each day that passes the less likely it is that he would be active. But there's no reason that a team couldn't sign them and have a small package of plays for him this weekend, depending on where he goes depending on what the need is depending on how quickly he could or couldn't pick up certain elements of the offense, but to me, there's no doubt this is the first time in his career. The very first time that he gets to choose where he wants to go. He didn't pick the Giants, the Giants drafted him. He didn't pick the browns, the browns traded for him. Now, he's a free agent and he can go wherever he wants and I think he'll spend two three days trying to figure out exactly where that is. Although I'm sure in his money he's probably got a pretty good idea already. Absolutely. All right, Adam Schefter with the latest on OBJ Adam staying close in case anything else happens. We appreciate you. Let's get to the Chargers. Justin Herbert was on fire Sunday after a couple rough weeks. It was against the eagles defense, but still, the most yards by any quarterback week 9, 356 yards to be exact. If you're looking for one indicator that Justin Herbert is playing well, what would that be? Well, you know, it's interesting coming off of this game because so much of a success came within structure and rhythm, which makes sense given the eagles defense. I personally was really heartened just by seeing his athleticism on display. I mean, they had him on the move a lot. The first touchdown to see him booting out an unsurprisingly again. And then you see Josh sweat the edge rusher basically accounting for him. Which is something you're actually seeing across the NFL right now with defenses playing the boot, but it's especially a threat with Justin Herbert because of the threat he poses with his legs. Now here, this is the third touchdown. Again, that's Josh sweat. Herbert doesn't even wait a second. He sees the crease and he runs through it because he can. There's nothing sneaky about his athleticism. He's one of the faster quarterbacks in the NFL he is big strong, and he should be on the move. That's something I want to see more often. A 100%, MK, and you saw that defense start to waver a little bit when they realized he was going to go early just like Pittsburgh did with Justin Fields. Last night, listen, this is about Justin Herbert. The Los Angeles chargers are going to go as far as their quarterback. And the way he played against the Philadelphia because I know where I was saying, oh, it's the Philly eagles. Justin Herbert had to take that game over in order for them to win the game. And not only that, the confidence from his coach to allow him to be in these moments and say you are the best player on the field and we are depending on you to make things happen. But also what I like to MK and you know, always come back to it. I like that they didn't abandon the run completely. It wasn't all successful runs. It wasn't anything that would put you in the mindset of, oh, we can continue to hand the ball off to Austin Eckler and we can turn yards. It was just enough to keep Philly solved and Justin Herbert was able to take advantage of that. IE the shot that on the rollout that he threw the Mike Williams across the field, that was a result of a defense saying we have to defend this box as well. All right, Justin Herbert and the Chargers hosting the Vikings this Sunday. They have a 59% chance to win that. "Likely teams in the best situations for OBJ. So New England and Green Bay. Yes, yes. So in watching, Odell Beckham junior, if you think about the beginning of his career, it was very Randy Moss like. Yeah, right. His effect on the league was like that. And then Randy Moss went to Oakland and we forgot that he could play football. It was two years that looked very much like Odell Beckham's years. He averaged around three point something yards of catch, the average around 53, 54 yards, and he had things like 1112 touchdowns old OBJ had 7. And then he went somewhere way to head a quarterback knew how to get him the football. There you go. And the same way I am convinced that Odell Beckham junior has been running routes the way that he's running routes, his entire life, and I think he was running them like that with Eli Manning. He was. And it seemed to work out then. And so all I'm saying is, he doesn't have to be a piece that's going to change your team schematically. But I do still believe he has juice. And I do still believe he can have a large impact. He's going to be about his priorities. If he figures out his priorities, and that list lines up with the right team, I think he can be someone that changes the destination for a team. Most of them most of them fire wide receivers. Jerseys hanging up right along what they quarterbacks in them stadiums. You need that guy to throw it to you, right? Okay, so I'm not sure if the eagles are going to be one of those teams that he wants to go to, but Darius slay is making a case here has now we know that Odell Beckham junior officially unclaimed and he's a free agent for the first time in his career. He's stupid. OBJ, we haven't seen him yet this year, just saying. Because that plays a great angle. 'cause Slade don't want to cover him. Blazer exactly what he knows OBJ might care about, though. All right, more news out of Cleveland, you guys, some that, of course, Odell's former team, a garden Wyatt teller and the browns have agreed to a four year contract extension GM Andrew berry said teller has turned himself into one of the top guards in the game. You can see it right there on the film and plenty more consistency there. You see, Nick Chubb running in that clip, well, how about this? Nick Chubb and demetrick Felton tested positive for COVID-19. They're both vaccinated so their status Sunday against the Patriots remains in question both players would of course need two negative tests within 24 hours apart to play. I mean, how big of a deal is that if Chubb can't play against the Pats? It's a bummer because this game is the one of the weekend that I'm looking forward to the most. And look, obviously, have seen the browns perform, perform very well without job Anne hunt dearness Johnson who I believe is going to be available look extremely effective, but we also saw last week what makes Chubb sucks an incredible poor rusher, not just the vision, the tackle breaking ability, but the explosiveness that he hits at that second level. That's where he stands alone. You mentioned deer Ness Johnson, he's still available as you said. He's vaccinated, has tested negative up until this point. So we'll keep an eye on that. Another big story today, let's get to Aaron Rodgers who still on the COVID list as an unvaccinated player. Friday, his appearance in the pat McAfee show over 45 minutes of explaining his stance against getting vaccinated, got a ton of attention. Well, here's his stance from a couple hours ago, also on pat McAfee's show. I understand that people are suffering and this has been a really difficult time for the last two years on so many people. I think we all know individuals who've lost their lives personally. People who've lost their businesses, their livelihoods, their way of life has been altered completely. And I empathize with those things. And I also know how sports can be such a connector and bring people together in times of adversity. And I do realize that I am a role model to a lot of people. And so I just wanted to start off this show by acknowledging that, you know, I made some comments that people might have felt were misleading. And to anybody who felt misled by those comments, I take full responsibility for those comments. And I'm excited about feeling better. I'm excited about moving forward and hopefully getting back on my team. And getting back to doing what I do best and that's playing ball. It's been tough to be away from it. I'm an athlete. I'm not an activist. So I'm going to get back to doing what I do best. And that's playing ball. I shared my opinion. It wasn't one that was the that was come to frivolously. It involved a lot of study and what I felt like was in my best interest from my body. But further comments. You know, I'm going to keep between myself and my doctors and I don't have any further comments about any of those things after this interview. All right, Dan, what'd you take away from Rogers today? Sounds like he's ready to get back to playing football, which is great. I mean, like he said, it's what he does best. I'm excited for that aspect of Aaron Rodgers. That's the guy that I've known for a long time is dude on the field playing quarterback. So I'm excited that he looks forward to getting back to playing football. Mina, what do you make of all this with the taunting that really dominated the story in this thing? Oh, overshadowing incredible Justin Fields performance. It stays in there. It's frustrating because there are NFL rules I don't like and points of emphasis. I mean, some of the roughing calls, they frustrate me, but at least there's logic behind them. The league is trying to protect quarterback. So you can disagree with them, but there's logic. Sure. There's no logic to this. I hear Tomlin and John Mayer the summer citing not wanting bad sportsmanship. But that wasn't bad support for the ship. It wasn't a bad influence on children to have him looking at the bench. It was a bad call that changed the outcome of a game. And that's where I think this gets so problematic for the league because you're actively making the product worse. The sport less fun and less fair and you run the risk of alienating fans. Let me quickly jump in here before you go Marcus. The NFL rulebook section three article one prohibited acts. Oh, you want to read it? No. You read it instead of me. 'cause it might be more fun. All right, using baiting or taunting acts or words that may engender ill will between team. I don't mean nothing. Come on. Go ahead. It's ill will before the game starts. That's number one. Number two is you can't do what you can do with Mars dead, but you can get an interception and run to the other end zone and celebrate. And they'll put a and they'll put a camera and Aaron Rodgers can tell the crowd I own you and nobody says anything. To your point, the policing of taunting is discretion, and that's horrible when you try to implement a rule that certain referees want to, we all, they got referees in the NFL that want to flex. They want to be a part of the game. They won't they name somewhere in the headline. And to me, when Tony bumped in the catches marsh and through that flag, if you watch the little pit in hand, it.

"All right, four p.m. eastern is come and gone. No word yet of Odell Beckham junior being claimed off waivers. If it becomes official, the former browns wide receiver will become an unrestricted free agent, and of course, will keep you updated on the Odell situation throughout the show. That's your mark Marcus spears. Yep, he's on it now. All right, plus Aaron Rodgers spoke again. He's walking back some of his comments from Friday will show you that in a few welcome NFL live Mina Kim's, Marcus spears who's now in the right spot. Dan NRC here with you. Let's get to the latest on OBJ. We bring in Jeff Darlington for this. And Jeff, what do we know at this point about odo Beckham junior situation? Well, you were asking me at the well, it's not the perfect moment because I don't have the answer, but it's a fun moment because at four p.m., this is the time when teams had to go ahead and file their waiver claim if they did want to acquire Odell Beckham junior. So basically the way this works is all 32 teams can file claim to claim Odell. It is prioritized from first to 32nd based on record. So if you have the worst record, you have the best shot at getting Odell if you do make that claim. So the league will then look at all these claims that come in at this very minute or have to this was the deadline. And they'll say, okay, who has the worst record of the teams that claimed him? You have been awarded Odell Beckham junior. You are on the hook for $7.2 million for the rest of the season. Odell will then become a free agent after this season. So any minute now we'll find out what teams did put the claims in. We should point out if no team claimed him, though he would become a free agent and then he could pick his destination at any point moving forward. Yeah, really interesting. And as Jeff said, we keep you updated. If Beckham, Jeff does become a free agent in the coming hours, is there a sense of what he will value in a new team? What's he looking for? Well, the first thing that we continue to hear is that he values a contender that he wants to go to a place where he feels like he can potentially win a Super Bowl. So that obviously is something that you hear a lot of from players. But the interesting part there is, will he covet money as well? Because he can go get more money from a team like the teams that can afford Odell Beckham junior right now at this point in the season given the salary cap ramifications of doing a deal with him are not necessarily all the contending teams. So you probably have to take less money to do exactly that. Something though that we do anticipate Odell Beckham will look at. Yeah, a couple of things kind of working against each other there to Jeff's point Jeff. If anything happens, we're coming right back to you so you're sticking around. I'll be right here. For the rest of the hour good no. And between a series of missed games in a lack of connection, odor Beckham junior's time in Cleveland was a far cry from what we saw while he was in New York, right? From 2014 to 2018, OBJ ranked top 5 in the NFL in receptions receiving yards targets per game. In that time, he was averaging nearly 100 yards, and while it's been a few years interest in the whiteout is still high, actually, here's what a certain coach in Seattle had to say. You'll have to wait and see how this all goes. But at this time, I don't know. I've been on the practice field. I know what's going on with it. As you would think, we're aware of what's going on and we've been involved to understand it and compete to know what's happening. And we'll let you know as it all happens. I'm going to wait. So I didn't say yes, I didn't say no, but that's just because you'll see. He's a really good football player. He's his talented as you could be in the years past. And so you always looking for guys that can do special stuff. Forever I've shared with you guys that we're looking for uniqueness in people that are different than other people and give you different dimensions to that play. So that's what we're trying to figure out investigating and see if there's a chance and all that kind of stuff if it makes sense. All right, well that was pretty interesting. I mean, the Seahawks already being thrown around anyway. Beckham. Makes sense. Not a manifested. It does make sense. It's not a need for them. We keep hearing that the defense has been a bigger issue. Obviously, they're rich at wide receiver. But they're not going to fix the defense right now. Defense and backs roaming around, they can grab. So my mind why not make your offense better in maximize it also Seattle has struggled at times versus this too high shells. I think Odell actually solves some of those problems. What he's able to do underneath, and listen, you guys know, like, imagine being any member of a secondary and trying to defend DK Metcalf. And Tyler, who brought me in the slot on the field at the same time, it sounds like a nightmare. But there's a lot of teams that make sense. I mean we're talking about some of them. I'll just throw out another one. I think makes a ton of sense. New England. That's a team that is on the ascent in terms of their playoff contention. And this weekend, against Carolina, only four catches by wide receivers. They have not gotten production out of that position. We know Bill Belichick would like to add him. Kansas City, get on the phone. Please. Unlock some things about who you are as a football team. We've talked about the struggles here since the damn season started on this show. And we understand that you have Tyreke Hill and Travis Kelce. That is not enough anymore. It's time to add another piece to that. Dan, you brought it up. They need a number two. At receiver. Yeah. They haven't found one. Look, me go Hardman is a good player. He's a piece to what you're trying to do. He's flexibility. Jet suite motions, getting the ball in his hands quickly and let allowing him to make plays. But then if you get Odell Beckham junior, you got to make a decision at that point. All right, so we gonna keep doubling tyreek. We gonna keep bracketing Travis Kelce and we gonna find out if Odell Beckham junior can play football. I'm sure Patrick Mahomes will let it happen. Yeah, well, who wouldn't? Actually, we do have some news on Beckham right now. Jeff, what do we know? Come on. So Odell Beckham, junior has gone unclaimed. No one filed a waiver clan this according to the league source texted me right now, so he is officially a free agent for the first time in his career. That means that he obviously can choose wherever he wants to go. And this will be the situation where he could play for the minimum and go, play for whatever team he wanted, or he could try to get more money at a team that maybe is trying to land a coveted market. Don't tell ever do that to me again. I was like, don't y'all ever swing me to Jeff Darlington or Adam Schefter in a certain time, but we talking about we got some news and you tell me the news already knew. I was already fucking okay. Y'all ain't got no dang it. A little bit of suspense here in the TV. I was like, we all kind of thought there, but there was that moment where you thought, hey, maybe something happens in a rise tomorrow. I build it up. Good job. Looking at the phone and stuff. I'm thinking Detroit had claimed the man. I was for the alcohol. He's like looking at his grocery list on his feet, but didn't. I hope he's happy. I hope he signs with the chiefs that Marcus was the chief's Ronda down ball. Here's the thing about OBJ. No one is saying that he can't play, right? We all know he's talented. But is there still a difference maker for a team? I don't believe he is. I don't think he's a scheme changer. I think he can be an impactful piece. There's this saying in football, specifically quarterback wide receiver wise. Be where you're supposed to be when you're supposed to be there. Don't fool the quarterback. And I think that was part of the issue in Cleveland was a little bit of a freedom when it came to his route running. Now, some offense has promote that. Some offense don't. And I think with Odell, he can still be a top 15 top 20 receiver. If he goes to the place that allows that in his game. Mina mentioned the Patriots I completely agree. The only caveat would be is Derek place where you better be when you're supposed to be. Kansas City make more sense. Right. The thing I do like about New England is that's a scheme that is dependent or built upon. I'm going to build it around a certain guy, right? In this play, I want you to be here. The other team I would throw out, and it is the freedom aspect is the Green Bay Packers. I think those are the two most.

Browns vs Chargers: Final Injury Report Full of Concerns for Cleveland
"We're still looking at Wednesday's injury report, but for the Chargers, everybody's getting a little practice, and there's no D and ds. Anybody that's not practicing is on IR. Right. Those are the only guys that are not practicing, but knock on wood doesn't this feel weird? It feels good. It feels really weird because when you look at the Cleveland Browns, there's a slew of dudes of DNP. There's a lot. There is a lot of 15 or 17 something crazy. There's a lot of people on this list. Yeah, in years past, this would be flipped. We would be the one with the scroll of players that are not practicing and the other team had like a handful. Not this year, folks this year, we've only got one two and three, four, 5, 6. People on the list and everybody's practicing. Yeah, three of them are limited, but they only guide on their list that's like come on dude is Chris Harris. You know, like, you asked the point or else they would have put them on IR. He had to be so close to being able to play. He has to be back this week. Coach coach talked about him last during his most recent press conference and he said that, you know, he practiced in pads last week. There are really wanting these guys to get healthy and stay healthy. Right. It feels like he's probably going to play this week. He got in limited, but, you know, Justin Jackson Derwin and Chris Harris are limited. So everyone else is full. So that's pretty crazy. Yeah. And yeah, and it's crazy because the browns have an extra day rest too, 'cause they put Sunday, we play Monday. Their list is huge, man. It's crazy because a lot of these are like, they're just not practicing. Coach is just like not injury related. They're just resting. Two of the guys. Run them up. Run them off. Run them off, dog. Let's see. So we've got Odell Beckham junior. He's practicing in full davin Clowney. He's he didn't practice, which is, I mean, that's a big name. Wow. Garrett didn't practice Troy hill, Malik Jackson. There's a lot of guys on this list that starters that didn't
Garrett, Browns rough up rookie Fields, slam Bears 26-6
"The Browns defense made sure Justin fields first NFL start was a disaster in defeating the bears twenty six six the brown sacked fields nine times with Myles Garrett setting a team record with four and a half fields had just one net passing yards and the bears managed only forty seven yards and six first downs Cleveland receiver Odell Beckham junior had five receptions for seventy seven yards in his first game since October twenty fifth Kareem hunt finished with one hundred fifty five total yards including a twenty nine yard TD run in the fourth quarter Baker Mayfield tossed a scoring pass for the Browns who outgained the bears for eighteen to forty seven I'm Dave Ferrie
Cleveland Browns Rule out Odell Beckham Jr. Against Houston Texans
"Browns rule odell beckham junior out for week. Two versus the texans coach. Kevin stefanski says his star wide. Receiver has not suffered a setback and his continuing recovery from left knee injury and that odell beckham junior would continue to practice on a limited basis. Beckham was out for cleveland's week. One loss the chiefs
How To Do Nothing With Jenny Odell
"Jenny. Thanks so much for doing this. Nice to meet you nice to meet you and thanks for having me so you have great line. I think you may be the opening line or one of the opening lines of your book. Nothing is harder to do the nothing. Can you unpack that. I totally agree. I just want to hear your point of view on that. yeah. I think that doing nothing. Or maybe more appropriately. Feeling like you're doing. Nothing is hard for several reasons. One is just habit. I think there's a habitual way of thinking in which you always need to be working towards something or having something to show for your time otherwise it was somehow worthless. I've been thinking about this a lot lately. Because ratings new book about time there's kind of like orientation toward time in general. I think that's almost a leaning forward. There's some desired outcome. that's different from the president. And you're sort of leaning forward in the space between those sue and to do nothing in relationship to that would be to simply just sit back and just in that moment as it is which is very difficult to do because of that. I think you get into that posture. It's something you get used to. The posture leaning forward the great writer and former buddhist monks. Stephen batchelor i believe. Hopefully i'm steven. If you're listening. We're friends so he might be listening. I apologize if we're gonna mangle this line. But i believe in his book buddhism without beliefs. He says something about how our default state is wanting to be elsewhere or otherwise. Yeah that's exactly. That's such a good way of putting it. It's this kind of underlying dissatisfaction or feeling that something where you are inadequate therefore you need to be sort of working working against that. I think that actually that line makes me. Think of pauline oliveros who i talk about in the book who is a sound artist and composer and she's similarly says the reason for needing to cultivate deep listening which is her name for sitting in an environment and listening actively is that our culture privileges snap judgment basically needing to grasp and react to things and that the opposite of that which would just be kind of empty. Listening is something that i think you already need to train yourself to do but especially have to train yourself to do now because everything's kind of a raid against that. How have we gotten ourselves into this situation. Because i fully agree. I feel haunted by what We're both quoting a lot of other people. Hear about quote again is a great podcast or jocelyn k. glide as a podcast called hurry slowly. She's been on the show and she talks about something called productivity shame which really describes my mindset. Maybe twenty two and a half hours per day of just feeling haunted always behind every moment needs to be maximized optimize utilized. Where does this mindset. come from. Well i mean. I have been on her podcast. And she's great. I love that podcasts. But in terms of where this mindset comes from just a mere speaking from my own experience. I think that it probably starts pretty early on. I mean i have. I have journals going back to when i was just old enough to right and have you know really detailed journals through high school in college and i went back through them about a year and a half ago and i was kind of horrified. Find myself saying the same exact thing today. Say now like. I never have any time. You can just see this kind of always running after something like always trying to catch up and there's like some passengers where like staring towards the santa cruz mountains and sort of wishing i can just go over there and draw of this and it's the kind of very familiar refrain and so i was reflecting when i was reading those about how even and that was pre social media kind of over scheduled. I was and i think that's kind of a combination of you know school could be your parents. It could just be kind of like the ether of expectation. Like that something. That i think about a lot with my students who are at stanford be that. No one in particular is telling them that they need to do that many things. It's just an expectation that exists around them so it's really like a culture a business or culture productivity where yes technically you are. Free did not participate in that but you will feel the pressure of not falling in line with that culture.
Brandon Marshall on Browns chemistry now that Odell Beckham Jr is out for season due to ACL tear
"Shifting toward top story this morning news that we did all fear Odell Beckham junior lost for the season with a torn, left ACL. Keep in mind this is the third significant injury in Dell's career. This one has him out the remainder of the season head coach, Kevin Stephens, address the injury, and where the five and to Cleveland browns go from here. And Adele the energy brings the practice energy. He brings the Games you can't you can't No one else can bring that type of juice but. It's it's our job to find the guys that that can go compete that we can go put them in sponsor they can succeed. And I think. We'll be able to do that. That's not easy. Don't WANNA have to And I'm very disappointed for Odell. But that's the nature of this beast at injuries are part of this game and doesn't mean that many of us have to like it, but we do have to deal with it. Brandon. Brandon. How do expectations change now for the browns with Oh bj gone for the rest of the year Yeah I mean. They really don't change much. They should actually be better. Now this is unfortunate. Odell is a great player. It's it's going to be hard to replace his talent. You're going to miss them in moments you're gonNA, miss his playmaking ability. You're GonNa Miss, those times one to one going to miss those times where he breaks three four tackles and he can possibly. Get you back in a game or possibly even win one or two ball games but this team will be better because I believe there's no chemistry and no continuity. Well, we actually we all know that there's no chemistry and continuity. When you're dominant number one wide receiver, you put so much pressure on the play caller. You put so much pressure on the quarterback I experienced this throughout my career and I had. To learn how to communicate with quarterback communicate with the play caller because if you get an play callers, did they get out of rhythm and that's not what you want. You want that play caller to feel good about what he's dowling up. You also want that quarterback to be free think freely when he's dropping back going through the offense going through progressions. If he has one on one, he has landry on this. On this side. Well, people are going to say, well, why don't you throw del well, maybe two quarterback wants to go to Landry. So for that reason I think, Baker, will be better. He has a Guy Higgins that he has great chemistry with going back to his rookie year landry is his guy I think Baker will be better. There's going to be a lot of pressure on him to really work his offense now but now we're going to see if he is the real deal. So. If, if Landry's is guy, he's not, he's not having a bad year but he's on his spectacular year and I've heard you say though a wide receivers best friend is the other wide receiver because it takes them defensive pressure off him. But so far he's got zero touchdowns. He's actually thrown for more touchdowns than he's caught. So why do you expect Jarvis to be better and not worse? Well. It's more so about the offense I'm looking at. Them. Having success as an often when you look at Landry's banged up, he has a broken rib. He's been dealing with that but it could be because they've been they had too much emphasis on other guy on Odell trying to figure out how to get him going. So when that trade deadline come up, they're not trading him they actually find a way to make it work. So there's so many different reasons but I want this play caller to feel free and get into a rhythm I. Want this quarterback to drop back and go to his guys this team. How they win is on the ground and play action, but they're going to need to win throwing a ball like they did this past week sometimes in the national football league.
Breaking Down the Quarters and Semis for the KR Contenders Playoffs
"Let's dive into our predictions for I guess we'll do predictions and then matches them predictions and matches will go in order here. So first match. We both got right. Yep Yep whoop do. We knew that team B M was not up to the task against Wgn Phoenix, and that's what happened. W just think took the three one against them I. Actually yet the three one which is actually kind of surprising because. Outside of an absolute banger that will talk about a little bit later this was the only other one that didn't go three Oh. Team. VM being able to squeak out that one map made it interesting for all of seven minutes and then. wgn Phoenix was like Nah. We're We're. Shutting you down. Yep and that one map was Lee. Shang where we saw Sung Chan gets some key hacks onto as tax on the. Road at least twice I think. You kinda tried his best to. Negate as tech but as we talk about here in the next couple of matches. Stack is shown to be really solid like you had like I think one match that we watched last week or two weeks ago where I felt when it was from. But like there was some issues dying on Bussan but beyond that, especially in these playoffs matches really leveled up. So that team tried their best to try to counter him and they did on the first map but beyond that w kind of took off and really the only other thing that I noticed outside of that. They were playing real chaotic, not super super structured. Just looked discombobulated, and then you get over to a new business and protect literally holds onto his grab for like foil. Yes and it's like there was there was a bunch of times where he could have used it. Either defensively to save some of his teammates and extend the team fight or initiate with an potentially win team fight and Nope, he just sat on it and then when he did use it, he threw it to lake. Horizon Lunar Colony I think because it just went nowhere got nothing and then they just got absolutely destroyed. Yup Listen to Wayne Gretzky protect you miss one hundred percent of the grabs you don't take so. You just gotTa. Do It man you just got? To. It's also a Hawker reference or an office reference depending on what what realm of the world you're in. The other thing too is like every minute that you're not using a graph building. You're not building graph and like if you hold a grab for like three minutes, you could've used a grab that it was like okay and then had another grab by basically the same time So. Yeah it's it's tough and like if you don't have the opportunity to use a grab at all because they're diva is constantly all over you and you don't have the counterplay or they're playing way to spread, then you probably should go on something else. That's better. Pick anyways and use the grab throwaway goldfish swimming dvr, go switch Sigmar anything else. There there's been a lot of issues that we're seeing a lot of the losing teams. They're. They're just like kind of shooting themselves in the foot with like playing what they should be. On the other side man wgn. Phoenix Lake after watching this match. I got really high on this tangle. Especially, ABC Z. Bag has been. Okay. But Gables specially was. Studer Pitt where you saw pack jump up, get damage onto. The Echo over the ACA was even. On. Haven, yeah then. He drops down back behind the cover again, and then you saw gable see right behind him come up boost up finish off the damage and then go back and then Win So comes up to resum they both dive a again and kill him as well. They open it up with two free kills and literally just roll beyond that. So I think that like one of the things especially it's been the tank line coordination for this team. In another team, we'll talk about later. Like it really sets these teams up apart like with the DP s with the one diver as well with the tanks in the one dive deep. Yes as well like. If, you have three people hive minded together you you will find success in grin contenders. And then another name on wgn that you're going to hear. US Talk. A lot absolute tyrant about is ace. When ace is on? The Sambre. Do builds EMP's insanely quick. But then on a newbies, they push team B.. M. Back to the spawn. And then they're like, you know what we got like a minute and a half left we're just going to go sit in front of the spun. And s just sits behind him and mainly heck's the supports like one clip supports drops an EMP. Like gets half of the team just absolutely bullying the back line of Team B, m on a newness and. Team B. M. had no response to ACE's play when he was running the sombre. and. It's super unfortunate that like he's only played this one pick at least what I've seen so far Inoke s on the hog. So good is unmatched in cream contenders I think I, think he might. Only, backed by MAG. But we'll see about that. Hit like he just every time like he forces other people to not play against him because he will just out a out mechanics them out strategy them and like just knows how to play better gets incredible. Pickoffs especially on Havana you saw him on the hog and Gable soon, the sigma they full hold team b. m., there as well So, like this tank line. Alternating CPAC and iino cast depending on whether or not. They're gonNA play the Winston saw shrine oranges run the Road Hog quite often because I think this was still on the playoff patch or like the wwl. Finals Patch. It'll. It's as strong three players on that team like they. Really. Really benefited from there, strong line here and gables the again like we talked about his diva being incredible signals also incredible as well during the scrappy last minute fights where there was a chance that team b. m. was going to be able to. Squeak out the first point actually cap it. he just stayed alive sustained had some good old good rocks Just good play and I think got like a couple of kills here there's also. You're going to start seeing a couple of these names come up next week when we talk not only about Plants and stuff like that but also on recommended. Pickups for teams in the off season because. Couple of teams might be going full Korean here and. There's a lot of new blood that's rear and to get some Odell time in. So I'm excited to see that I actually can't wait to talk about that team that I think is going full Korean 'cause. It's GONNA be interesting to try to put together. A bunch of players out of Korean contenders to slot into that team or and see how close we can get to actually hitting the. the mark on how many people get pulled from creon contenders.

Clippers vs. Nuggets picks: Who will win Game 7 and reach the Western Conference finals?
"Time time for for take take your your pick pick nuggets nuggets clippers clippers game game seven, seven, tonight tonight nine pm, the winner advances to face the Lakers. Kevin wiles. Let's start with you who wins tonight? Yeah Oh. With, the big game in joker also has a big game but I, think they put the clamps on. Jamal Murray. Also big win for the Celtics little bonus pick from Kevin wiles. Brandon. No, you gotta go with the nuggets. They have all the momentum. Don't see how you stop this team. Teyana Parties Despite Lockdown
"The. Lockdown is over or at least apparently, it is for a lot of famous people for example, Cardi B. and offset just hit up Tiana. Taylor's packed album release party, which by the way offered, has met suits upon arrival, but not much social distancing. Going on here one of your guys. This thoughts on this not a lot of mass happening. I think less than half of the party had masks on, but never had. Done so in the invite to the to the event. It says like we will provide mass and has met suits look I love Yana think you know the album is going to be amazing, but I do feel like this party was kind of irresponsible especially. She just announced that she's pregnant. And there were kids there. It just seems like so many people in one place. And the lockdown isn't lifted yet. It just seems a little irresponsible to me. Yeah! I also think that if you wearing the has met suit half open so that we could see your cleavage or sculpted chess is like riding a bicycle holding your helmet under your arm. It's just it does nothing. Cardiac. Odell Beckham was there were a ton of people there and I did it like people are itching to get outside. There have been some things that have been lifted, so you wanted to get out there and feel normal again and I'm I'm sure that she's so proud of this album, but I think like you know when you're newly pregnant and being around all of these people I just don't understand the logic with this lean awake. was there like every Winnie Harlow like? I'm so confused on this money. Make you a new. The album is called the album which is short for the album that gave everybody respiratory disease, so make sure. Chance congratulations on download the album, but I'm not going to parties like house parties. That's real aggressive. A great guys pay attention
"odell" Discussed on The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz
"Could save you fifteen percent or more tarred nobody in my life has as many unlikable traits who I still like as Gods Stugatz would you have taken the bait got no pay cuts. Please hell you talking to live with our show with Stugatz on. ESPN Radio Neil. So the audience is a bit agitated with me because every once in a while I'm the annoying obnoxious strident guy. I who reminds you that a lot of human beings more human beings than not are followers instead of leaders you go throughout human psychology ecology. You will find all sorts of testing that shows people behave Outside of their morals and ethics sometimes in scientific tests when simply following instead of leading where they can be guided lead. And so when I say if the rules are dumb break them a whole lot of people out here saying and what do you mean. They're the rules and so I just give you this by way of moving on because When I look at what happened with Lsu and Odell Beckham? I think the rules are unjust. And him breaking them to me makes sense. And those of you who it doesn't make sense to. I believe lever protecting a system. That's unjust but I'm just going to give you this quote sent in the twitter. If a law is unjust a man is not only right to disobey it he he is obligated to do so. That's Thomas Jefferson. That's one of the founding fathers. When you're saying here I think taxes are dumb? Taxes are foundation of this country country. You can think they're dumb and not WANNA pay them but they're foundation of this country in terms of getting your garbage picked up but I think people view the type of leadership that Odell backup junior expressed that night maybe it is leadership. There are better ways to go about it. You have a big name if you really care use your name use whatever platforms you have have to try to. We did to try to instigate Dan. Yes but that's leadership where it's also look at me too. Okay so wait a minute. The energy has to be your way. I'm not saying Dan listen. I want players lawyers to be paid. I'm just telling I'm trying to give you what the public is looking at. And they see a guy who was handing out dollar or hundred means to God sees a millennial look at me the athlete sleep for this generation. He's very looking okay. But it's hard for people like look at me and leadership at the same exact time. It's all pills while leadership is is breaking the rules but it's not a rule it affects him. It's not leadership because he's not endangered anymore. Live concert there are more risks for others than for him. But he's the one getting tame today you don't know the names of the players other than borough that he was giving money to at you will when they do an investigation and they're ineligible to play. Ben Found decide the enforcing body that is by all accounts. Totally unjust will levy. It's totally arbitrary penalty based on how they make the rules to protect the rule book. That was made made one hundred years ago before teammate. TV money flooded into the sport. That's fine but then again Odell Beckham junior faces no consequences the players. That's the best kind of anarchy. Probably not the best person to boost the argument about rules being dumb and follow what you want and when he owns six hundred slaves. Good point could've gotten around the founding father using Thomas Jefferson certain moral order a loophole in the founding fathers data minute hold on a second. That's not right at all. Like I like plenty of six hundred one day I the part. That's not right is I could like plenty of what Jim Brown stands for without liking that he also stands for the beating of women. Now I understand that but in terms of like just strictly rules in that quote probably find another one. Let's put it in Google. Let's find another minute about rules you you think I think he could have gotten around to. That is agreed. Is Thomas Jefferson. Not One of our founding fathers. That is not the debate here. He is one hundred percent founding this country. This country is founded on breaking the rules. It's how we became a country and MM slavery was a part of all that too but USA. Am I right Yeah USA. We talk of football or you. Don't WanNa Talk Thomas Jefferson and slavery. I will say this he did have six hundred slaves. Mike is Right three two of them while he lived and another seven more after there is death. He didn't free anyone after his debt. That's that's what it says. Let's go digging into like how he treated the slaves right Eh. Well he was he was having sex with some of them. Yeah we don't have to get into that So we're we're actually bring Thomas Jefferson before the actual game right. We would have is on a hell of a show during Thomas. Jefferson's time we would have been so controvercial. We would have been yelling at him. What do you do in Jefferson? One of our founding fathers is all this stuff was slavery I just be blurting out. Founding Fathers. That's right you're just. Learning nickname also bringing down the wrong Jefferson considering that they have a receiver governing. which if you trace it back yeah you think Thomas Jefferson Tj? Back in the day I thank you for taking the conversation to the dumbest possible play off. So Chris Cody has been invoked by this Aaron Hernandez Documentary Henry on Netflix. I think this is interesting because I'm pretty sure that what I'm watching and I'm only a third of the way through it is basically just a really condense condense cliff notes version of everything. Boston was covering at the time that the national media covered pretty poorly combined with what the Boston Globe did. Recently the podcast series that was super thorough took a long time and now on television POPs more. I think this is reaching more people because because it's really well done and we're all fascinated by the true crime nature of not understanding how Aaron Hernandez could possibly arrived in a place where he was killing people plural while in the middle of making forty million dollars with the Patriots. And I'm going to camp and and signing a new contract and Aaron Hernandez I mean think about what. I'm about to say. Tom Brady could have had Aaron Hernandez still keeping him young Aaron Hernandez would not be too old right now to still be playing football. In a way that Gronk hunk is not Aaron Hernandez represents one of the few skilled guys that the Patriots actually drafted to get. Tom Brady some help all the other help that they got other than Aaron Hernandez and Gronk was usually free agents and whatnot so Chris. You've been fascinated by this right. I feel like it's a lot of rehash but I also I'm finding finding interesting the way that they condensed it all for us so that we're watching something that while it's not exactly new news all of that stuff that I've seen so far has been in this podcast series series that the Boston Globe was doing. It's still fascinating hearing him talk. It's fascinating hearing how simple he was not not sort of measuring during what. His position was not introspective. In any way yeah hearing the phone calls for that he made from jail to countless people and as they move on but I got through two thirds of it so he talks even more people. That's the part that I'm just like. That's what you get to really get a sense of how he was dealing with things the way he was talking to Marquees pouncey his. It's beyond say his family members. I was riveted by that access. Age Right laughing about Smith and Wesson deal. Get Him Smith and Wesson deal because his agents tell him. I can't get Nike. swoosh switches on the jumpsuit. That access to those phone calls. You're right though it's it would be a lot of stuff we've already kind of known but that stuff was crazy but no you should watch it if you want to understand better and likes to God's get the cliff notes..

"I would absolutely take down my own school as a journalist. If I find find out that there was financial aid properly getting them not hiding that story I totally leverage that information for Money Felony Stugatz. He's got to be the only radio personality in America who freely admits. Yeah I guess that goes all the other spots have been taken. He's like serving surveying the landscape on. Where can I plant my flag? I got this right. Nobody else wants. Why is there no one here? Wow this looks like such a great land. I could just claim all fraud. Awed and crime worked out well from these live with our show with his two guys. What's on ESPN radio as it regards the Odell Beckham stuff? I would simply say to you that when the rules are dumb. Break them whether it's your government or anyone else like if you and you have to take the consequences but if the rules are dumb you should live your life your way and break them. If you think they're dumb and accept whatever consequences consequences there are from living in either an NCAA system or a government that is doing things against your principal system. I don't like play Paying taxes are you telling me just to not pay taxes Indians. I gotTa take the consequence not want those consequences. I if you know but you're immoral era like you're just generally immoral like your rules for living there dumb. I was like what you said. It was cool and you could like attributed to like Dan title like a famous quotes thing. But you playing fast and loose. I think with the rules when the rules are dumb I break them and they I mean that's all in the eye of the holder. Yeah what do you mean. It's all in the eye of the beholder. Play life by your own rule but sometimes you got to play ball and how life works. Oda Beckham income does not have to play ball on the football field after the national championship. And not give money to guys who have made him happy because he's got school pride just because the NCAA. He has a set of strictness and rules that he doesn't have to live by anymore there are consequences possibly to the school that he loves and his players ears and those players they love but playing the rules not Odell Beckham. The rules are dumb. But who cares when you can't play for a season but the rules are the rules roles and so other people potentially getting in trouble because he violated the roles he might be doing what. You're saying that the rules are the rules. You could come and say the rules of the rules and I'm telling you Odell Beckham doesn't need to abide by the NCAA's ruled light. Does players do not need to abide by their rules. A players do and like Odell Beckham. Junior was a binding to any rules again. He slapped a cop on the rear. Right I mean you WanNa break the roles break the rules but you be the person that breaks. The rules. Don't put other people in a position to also break the rules. You're going to be the guy who says don't put others in a position to accept money. That's an argument. You're going to make on the radio. Don't put others in a position where they can make. Money is something you want by Stu gods his name up saying don't put others in a position where they can't say no they don't want to say no and they're breaking the rules against your more ethical standards as a player or you fear your eligibility being lost them. Don't accept the money or tell him afterward not around the cameras like what like. What are you guys talking about a lot of decision making to like you have to process that entire situation when Odell Beckham? Junior's walking through them money hand. My point is as leave it to the NCAA to take joyous celebration and make it about rules. We can't blame Odell Beckham junior a little bit because this was stupid. I don't care error. That Odell Beckham feels the need to give money to people who have made him happy. I'm assuming he does it in strip clubs like this wasn't him just acting out of general kind of this is sending a message right now because it's a big story player that can statement it. That's what I mean. That's why I feel like he's using these players and he's putting them at risk to make a statement more than just trying to do a good. You know who put them at risk all of us who put them in a violent game to play Monday night colliding into each other that To put them at risk all of us who probably the rest of us who profited off of the entertainment and the money made that night we all put them all at risk. You remember any of the guys carted off the field. Can you guys remember. Any of the guys limping off the field. You know their names care. Disposable bodies turned over for profit. Now so it's our fault. So they didn't have played the national national. Champion Wiggins Wigan Limited. What's his first name is? Is that his first name or last name. His first name is T. or if that's just a letter it begins with maybe wrong. Is it D- dammit. He was wiggins. I should have thought that wiggins. Yeah Yeah we did Dan Le Batard. We're going to get to Stu gods being checkmated by. Jj Watt here in the next segment. The great thing about facts..

"Is Jenny Odell, and Genio del is an artist and writer living in Oakland, California. She's been an artist in residence at recall SF that are known as the dump the San Francisco planning department that you're Buena center for the arts, Facebook, the internet archive, she's been teaching internet, art, and digital on fiscal design at Stanford, since two thousand thirteen and she's also the author of a new book called how to do nothing, and I wanted to have Adele, on a couple of reasons. One is it in the series? We're doing about the intersection of attention and creativity and thought. I think that you need to see it from some perspectives outside the ones we typically, look at and contemporary art is one of those, she's got some beautiful lines in this interview, but, but she talks quitting another artist about the way in which what modern artist do is our orchestrator does of attention. They take people they take us, and they force our attention to work in different ways in different scales in a culture that is constantly trying to optimize us towards letting our attention work in one way. And at one scale faster, faster faster, and so, she's really, I think interesting and beautiful perspective on this both about what is the value of time in how value it, what is the role that nature and natural context plays and pulling us out of an increasingly decontextualize society, what Israel that art and the Poetics play in or can play and getting us to think of all this in a different way. This is one of those fun interviews where somebody who really seasonable differently than I do. And helps me see it a little bit. It. I think more clearly, or at least more openly than I did before as always my Email is kind show at box dot com. Again as recline show at vox dot com talk bit in here about how much I appreciate the emails, you all send. So. Thank you for doing that, but here is Jenny Odell Genucel what can the podcast, thanks for having me? So you're an artist how you describe you do. I describe it as not making anything. Because then cone. No, it really because I you know, I don't want people to get any expectations of I only create new contexts around things that already exist way, told me more about that. How did you start doing that? I mean, the best example I can give is project aided knows and artists in residence at the dump in San Francisco, the dump. Yes, the sorry recall, Aji SF, which is technically. It's a transportation, it's not like a landfill obviously. But normally artists in residence, there would make something out of trash like a sculpture or painting or some kind of thing, right? And my project was to just mono maniacally research, the manufacturing origins of two hundred objects and then that turned into, you know, not just the origins. But like why was it made how is it made what was it worth how much is it worth now? Are there YouTube commercials of it like the life story of this object? And so, the exhibition was just shelves of these objects with tags that you could scan on your phone and just read all of that information. Which is clearly a lot of work and time. But I mentioned in my book that the, this woman was, like, did you actually make anything or did you just put things on shelves? And I was like, oh, actually really profound. Like I did just put things on shelves. Tell me about one of the objects it sticks in your mind. They all stick in my mind. They're like, I, I'm still a commotion attached, all of them. Now I mean, I found an intendo power glove. I wanted an intended power glove so badly when I was a kid. I mean it's like it's awesome. I mean, I haven't I haven't tested it site. I don't know if it still works, I, I would suspect that it still works because most things in there still work. What did you find when researching a Nintendo power glove? But what would I not know about Nintendo power gloves? You know, honestly, like this isn't twenty fifteen. I like in if you see the book, it's called the bureau suspended objects, it looks like a phone book. So like the amount of information is just like in there. It's like not in my I don't have recall of like track details, but, you know, they did have to like learn about like the history of Nintendo and where their factories are and stuff like that. So one of the things that was actually really helpful to me in your book is a very literal, Listrik person and often have trouble understanding, more conceptual art, and you talk a lot about that. Kind of artists being away of reframing people's attention. You write that the only habit with designing for is the habit of questioning ones bicho ways of seeing, and that is what artists writers musicians help us to do. Can you tell me a bit about that? Definition of the job are poached to the to the projects. Yeah. I actually I might borrow a phrase from this designer Sarah Hendra in that I really love where she describes what she does is being an orchestrator of attention. So she, I think she also say that maybe she doesn't make anything she's just sort of pointing the viewers attention in different places in different patterns. And I think that's actually an incredibly generous and productive in my definition of the word productive thing to do, because you're actually making part of the world accessible to someone that it wasn't accessible to before, like that, to me is the equivalent of creating something new. So, you know, I give examples of, you know, seeing John cage performance, and then leaving and realizing that there was this whole spectrum of sound in the. City that I wasn't hearing or seeing, you know, seeing this David Hockney video piece, and then going outside and things literally look different. I mean it's almost like being on psychedelics. Thank you, talk about a pause encouraged. Oh, yeah, pause encourages really great piece by Scott Pollock, who I went to school with at SF AI. And it's it was in San Diego. It's kind of on the cliffs overlooking the ocean. And he created this roped off area with those ropes you know, I don't know what you call them kind of like the velvet rope yet. Yeah. Like an Eugene like an feeder or something. And then he had I don't remember what the number it was a small number of chairs. And then he had people, you know, sign up to do this, and they were ushered into their seats. They watched the sunset, and they applauded and then refreshments were served afterward. And I just love that piece. Because it's if you see the photo of it, it's just this line of chairs, people looking at the sunset with these ropes around them and it's such a good illustrate. Of this kind of act of framing, like, yes, the sunset is the thing that we're all aware of, but it's obviously something you would experience differently as an event after which you applaud, I love this idea of the orchestrator of attention because it doesn't just apply in a positive way at artists and writers and musicians, but it's what a lot of us do. I mean, as a journalist, and for a long time, the vox, I was an orchestrator of a kind of attention. You know, Mark Zuckerberg isn't orchestrator of attention people program television, like people who set up store design, there's a lot of there's a lot of orchestration of attention. And we rarely I think take seriously what we are doing to the attention. We only take seriously, the underlying product. It's like what people are looking at is important. The fact that they are looking we don't take it as important. Yeah, I agree. And I think also something else that gets taken for granted is quality of attention. So, you know, with the phrase, lake the attention economy. If it's an economy runs on currency rate and attention is the currency. And I think like in that formulation at sort of assumed that attention remains constant, like they're interchangeable units of attention. Whereas in my experience, there are all different kinds of attention. Like, I'm sure we've all had the experience of like five minutes that felt like an hour or something. Right. Like or you know, like if you are in the middle of like falling off of something that feels very slow. Right. Like that's really literal example. But there's, you know, different depths and sort of felt timescales, like within attention, which I feel like you know, I'm biased because I'm an artist. But I think there are a lot of art pieces that can help you learn to willfully move your attention around those different registers, rather than having kind of jerked around by, by some kind of apparatus. Yeah, I think for me the last decade or so. I've just begun exploring my own attention. I developed a much more, intense mindfulness. Actes, and it's really spiking how the fundamental mediating. I don't know what to call it the fundamental thing that mediates our relationship with the world is something we're not taught to pay any attention to not taught that it has different dimensions the ideas that I don't even like the idea of paying attention, not for the currency and, and the economic lined with to another you point that out. I, I noticed that too, but because I think that there is a societal expectation that if we're paying attention to something, the attention is under our control. I think that we always assume in the way we talk about attention that attention is under our control. And I think that it often isn't, it's very contextual. It's very, it's very evolutionary it, there are a lot of ways to hijack it and in a world where we've gotten so good at hijacking. We've not given people much of anything, the terms of education, or tools or awareness to try to take it back. And I know that the every generation has felt this way and you can find this kind of discussion in Victorian times. And, but it doesn't mean it's not true. It doesn't mean it's not a problem. Yeah. No. I, I totally agree in a, you know, the book it's sort of like a reaction to a moment that I had in two thousand sixteen on, on one hand, but, but it's also coming out, you know, of something much earlier than that, that, I feel like I experienced isn't artists interest, as a person of, like I really enjoy basking in certain types of attention. Like I think you know, that, that's it. If you ask me, why? Right. There's no bigger, y it's just like I really like observing things like I don't need there to be more of a reason than that. I mean there there are all other sorts of like benefits you would get right from, from being able to direct your attention. But for me, like first and foremost. It's just like I enjoy being able to let my attention like widen into some sort of expanse for certain amount of time. I think I just had that experience enough where I was like I would really like to be able to share this or like, I don't know like incur. Reg- it, and I think that's what I was doing with my art pieces before that in this is just kind of a different way of conveying. This message is that a natural thing for you. Is that something you cultivated? I think it's probably pretty natural. So my mom takes care of foster children. She's like a respite worker, so basically like a designated babysitter for foster children. And she claims that if you have like a baby in there in a stroller. And he go past like a shrub where like some kind of plant thing that, like they'll like a lot of babies will really like kind of grabbing onto the leaves and stuff and is like staring at. And apparently, I was like that, she also mentioned that she noticed when I was a baby that was happier when I was outside. So she would just like everything that you would do inside, like I would just be like outside doing it. Instead, like on a blanket. And so I think like maybe some of it is that like from an early age. I grew up where there was kind of a lot of visual stuff going on around me that wasn't on a screen. I mean that's my like unscientific hype. Thisiis about, like why am the way that I am? But it's certainly like since then, you know, in all of my art, like it's, it's clear that it has some sort of pension for, like, really, really paying, like super close attention to something almost going like a wormhole like almost just like getting lost, like the bureau suspended objects project of the dump like kind of ruined my life for a while..
