"Not seeing while all of a sudden. Fury lives in henderson nevada. So what are we seeing more of this guy. Why now is he going to disappear. They did the same ship with anthony joshua and it just knocked out klitschko man. That motherfucker in the next wind should have been on every single american. Tv show that there is everything that they could have got him on. They should have been on ethnic. Josh was should have been on good looking cat. Big strong nice guy speaks well chris. Charismatic get people's appetite. Whetted for someone like this. Get anthony joshua known tyson. Fury should be more known than he is right now but guess what the mental disappear again except for being on the short stint with the wwe. What else has he done to bring attention to the non boxing fans who folded them that fury that did not want to do that is because of the mental health. Some of the things that he went through the first time that he's a little bit leery to get back into that lifestyle. And the might you know unleash some new demons. What's what's going on with that. But man we need to see some more. If the man isn't fighting he should be out there doing something and he's not doing anything so you know. What opportunities does he have to elevate the status as being a public figure that transcends the sport will number one. You need a awesome opponent and while dylan whiten out a wallin which those to fight in october thirtieth. The winter's going to face tyson fury. That doesn't that doesn't excite the average sports fan the my excite boxing fans especially but dillion white. Who's been a guy who should have been fighting for the championship for years. But he's been screwed one way or the other out a wolland already faith theory once in nearly got a win after opening up. A huge cut on Fury's eyebrow but if you remember that that really wasn't a big shingling ding ding in terms of interest in in of the the pay off in terms of momentum towards boxing in that regard. So what dillion whites gonna win or other wallin's gonna win. That's going to be tyson fury. Next opponent. that the post to elevate the sport that's supposed to get non boxing fans interested in that possible contenders. I mean you could be what alexander who said anthony joshua winter. Let's not gonna inspire anybody. Rather have that fight over in europe than in the states if you want more people carrying about that fight especially use sex wince which if joshua's going to try to box a boxer then congratulations who set. You're going to be winning. you know. Again i'll concede the damage done with the opportunity if joshua fury who have gotten together and fought this year when they had the chance. But who else is he gonna fight. Indie release joseph parker lewis. Ot's joe joyce those names aren't going to elicit any type of who. Yeah the world's stop the watch this so maybe if joshua usak then you know you've got to guide british guys and actually going to be fighting for something. "It and is like whoa. What was that transition. You're like. I'm sorry i'm totally like didn't keep it smooth from my like chess voice in my head voice or yeah no. It's endless. which is why it's so fascinating because the deeper and more work you put in memorial. Get out of it and it's just like it's like this like infinity whole entity and the pay office that if you do all your technical work then you can forget about it enough to serve the emotion on stage so so first of all. How did that happen. All that was so nice glenda burroughs who is running the a s iceland dick historical society of nova scotia which exists because a few icelanders. Came and tried to set up Log cabins in murkland But it was really tough settlements. They weren't there for long But there is now little log cabin there which i sang at the dedication for several years ago. Now so i think Eleanor from mosaic. Fest had reached out to her to see if there's any icelandic singers around and she's like well they're just so happens. Certain person who likes sang the national anthem at our log cabin ceremony. So yeah that was really nice glenda and once i was connected with eleanor and then i was like. Oh okay i could. Because i tend to. I would tend to just put a little bit of my icelandic. Nece in on the edges of something else that i was doing but then this is the first time where i was like. Okay this is me. this is actually me. And i went a couple summers ago back to iceland and i went to book guinness. Which is the small town that my great grandfather great great grandfather headed key had come from so i like sat there. Write my own original songs in icelandic like that was like more into the process. Like at first. I was just going to do some folksongs but then i was like what can i do. I just wanted to mix it up. So yeah and i've known mars. The the advocate for awhile. He makes such great beats. I knew him. When i was doing you connection with ryan. And he would come to the hub and he had reached out now and again after. I wasn't working at kenny moore being like. Hey what's up. So so i asked him if he would make some beets and i explained to him the project and just one of those things for like it actually all came together like i surprised myself at this stage. I was really. what's this. what's this going to give. But i ran it by some Friends beforehand and they're like. Oh yeah you should speak some of it and then start singing. So i did. Mix haven't done before. I felt if and then during the bureau covers is like a masterclass in good singing because the resist so the dalai does old rosser. Oh notice actually okay. I really not up is is so beautiful soul like one of the things i whenever i wanna write. I'm always listening to music. And like i don't really writer's block on sounds cheesy when i see sometimes maybe in the mood to right so like when i get there if i listened to that song like he just pulls out. Oh that's beautiful by old. Jesus oh my gosh. Landik accent beer. I like assume so much Cousin my friends called dirac syria off. Episode is literally called episode of based on this song. She's like suge food so good she she is the reason she such. A unique voice is that i actually found this out recently. She was going to classical training but she was kind of rebelling against it and she would just go and walk in the wilderness alone in iceland and just make sounds with her voice and so it's like she had like all of nature to commune with and i'm learning a lot about singing from like singing along with her. Like i've been finding some places that didn't realize they had In my voice. So yeah definitely going to keep learning more and more per stuff just to see if i can get inside of like certain sounds. I'm going through like different transition stuff with like what i wanna do for my career like i started writing audiobooks as like a thing like nonfiction ones. Some kind of seeing where that's going to go. And i was just working on a lot of personal stuff so i find like i do push with my music and then i have to kind of like hide again which i'm gonna try to not do as much like i've been trying to understand why i get like that but it's just you know i was the shy girl in high school like i would like whisper.

We Finally Know Exactly How Bad The Pandemic Has Been for Airline Pilots
"We see in plane and pilot magazine. We finally know exactly how bad the pandemic has been for. Airline pilots and the numbers here are pretty staggering and eliminating max indeed. I was really quite stunned to take a look and see. Just how bad things are. I mean we all know that the airlines have been hit disproportionately hard here during the pandemic that know some pilots have been out of work. This was a survey done by goose. Which is a pilot. Recruitment firm not for birds but for a and they found that nearly half of all pilots worldwide. Either looking for work or on furlough which was shocking to me. They said that thirty percent of the people surveyed were out of work and looking and other seventeen percents that they were furloughed awaiting further news and additional. Six percents said they were still employed with their airline. But we're doing non-flying works pretty stunning. Half half the pilots Basically out of work or looking for work in this comes from a survey of two thousand five hundred ninety eight pilots. This survey was open for four weeks just to kind of set. The timeframe in it closed october thirtieth twenty twenty and it was anonymous survey thirty questions and the survey was designed for pilots of all ranks. First officers second officers and cadets in some of the data in this is just really really fascinating and we'll have a link to the survey report which was done in conjunction with flake global. And a you just peruse some of this and find some really really interesting interesting things but By way of demographics of those almost twenty six hundred pilots forty-three percent of the respondents were in europe. Nineteen percent from the middle east and africa eighteen from asia pacific Twelve percent from north. America six percent from south america and two percent from china. So it's pretty Pretty global in the survey touches on things like pilot retention pilot job security employee engagement even Stress mental health wellbeing things like that so Some really really interesting statistics Couple of the ones that i like. Maybe if you guys saw some things that piqued your interest but one of the questions was when do you think aviation will make a full recovery to pre covid levels and not. Surprisingly only ten percent said up to one year the biggest spike was up to two years. Thirty four percent of the pilots thought up to two years but twenty eight percent up to three years and longer than that twelve percent four years. Ten percent five years and six percent said they thought it would never never be the same So that's the pilot's perspective. No one was. Do you think your mental health has been affected by the pandemic and here there is a direct correlation between the age of the pilot and the pursuit pilots that group in In how many of them thought that their mental health had been a acted for those pilots. Fifty five to sixty four years old thirty. Two percent thought their mental health had been affected for pilots forty five to fifty four years old but younger thirty six percent when we go down to thirty five to forty four year olds forty four percent of them thought. Their mental health has affected in the twenty five to thirty four year old group forty-nine percent and pilots under twenty four years old fifty eight percent of them thought their mental health had been affected by the pandemic so. I thought that was a really interesting result. I wasn't totally surprised by the The differences once. You mentioned the difference. I thought okay but it's the younger folks are having a tougher time. Think about someone who's twenty four years old this may be the first In a bad thing that's happened to them in their in their career folks are in their mid fifty s have probably gone through multiple things in the past and probably a better able to to ride through a downturn whereas you know young folks just not have that cushion of You know savings built up to right through. Its doesn't surprise me but still it's a large large number folks nearly six percent under a twenty-four saying mental health. Been impacted the the demographics of the respondents in terms of gender. Was you know the numbers are kind like the same numbers we've seen for a long time. Almost all male four percent female in one percent preferred not to say. I'm not sure why they would prefer not to say in. An anonymous survey but four percent identified themselves as female Which really kind of hope that that number would be coming up. Ron wouldn't when you're looking at programs With youth today. do you see more. young girls. Becoming interested involve is that number higher than four percent. I hope well Here were making a concerted effort to make sure it's higher than four percent Right now we're preparing for Air venture and we've got A program within the air venture program called girl venture We've also got One for adults named Women's sore And between those two we really want to invite women to get more involved and engaged in aviation and so We see a higher than i would say. Four percent level here

I'm less than a week away and somehow I've been able to ward
National Mole Day with Andrew Geary
"Hi Paul this is Andrew in today is National Day. Now my first thought this day is in honor of Pucks Itani Phil, but then are moles and ground hogs, the same underground inhabitant. Or could it be honoring one of the greatest land air battles of all time went to bias the mole attack tiny town in Rocketeer George Michael saved the day on arrested development. Now. I know Netflix puts it Tada on everything but did they also put their stamp on National Day? I look forward to you sending me straight Paul. I Fan true according to the Internet malls in groundhogs are often lumped together in discussions regarding wildlife problems that result in turn up damaged landscaping. This is because they both utilized tunnel systems and caused damage to plants, roots, and beautiful lawns but that is where the similarity ends, but I severely digress. Today. October twenty third is national. Mall Day which has nothing to do with furry creatures. Today's all about chemistry specifically avocados number, which is the number of particles in one mole of substance the numbers approximately six point zero, two times ten to the twenty third. Get it ten, twenty, three. If you WANNA learn how to celebrate this day. Look no further than the lab out loud podcast were in one episode they discuss mold day and how they have celebrated it. You could also research Amadeo Gaudreau and put out a social media post using the National Mall. Day, Hashtag. My guest today is Andrew. Geary. Andrew is the host of the seismic sound all podcast now prepare yourself for a second seismic sound off episodes our in depth conversations in applied geophysics intimidated yet. Luckily, for you, I asked Andrew. Where someone like me who try to cheat his way through high school science classes could start. He wrote back the following and I quote our episodes tend to range from various associations, specific highlighting our annual conference to broad scientific subjects, addressing racism and geosciences. But the best place generally to start is our episodes focused on humanitarian projects we manage here is one looking at building a canal Peru that's a good start. Unquote. For Third Recommendation Andrew Sticks with science and recommends an episode from the Your Day podcast called what whales on nine eleven. While many of us reeling from the terrorist attacks in the United States something very unique was happening underwater. For today's extra all's I'll let you decide if you would prefer watching Netflix's with Andrew or May. We, have had A. Exchange about the German show dark. I loved it but punted few episodes into season three because it was just too confusing. Andrew has tried to me to keep going but remember his brain works a lot better than mine. But one thing should be said, it seems we both are big fans of the blue family. Come back on October thirtieth for maybe one of the most divisive pieces of candy ever.

Latest Nintendo News
"Get excited. Choo Choo Train. ooh, you. Pay Pipe that leads us to the end of our news segment and for funds. As we thought, it'd be cool to just kind of wrap up with a couple of quick hit news items that happened to be all Nintendo related in. So, if you guys missed it earlier this week a drop for the Super Mario lying on black milk went live and we talked about this one they announced it and you're into. Fashion of the FEM variety I like the starter s let's they have a lot of stop you can check out, but they also announced the animal crossing Collab-, which is going to be happening. So this is Super Fun as well. So if you guys want to showcase your love for either animal crossing or Super Mario Brothers, you may want to check out the black milk line secure and there was also to more announcing Super Nintendo world is going to be happening in twenty twenty one. So this is an old trailer Super Nintendo world. Obviously, this is going. To be in Japan, there's one supposed to be happening universal studios in Orlando but because of the covid nineteen pandemic, it has been delayed worldwide. What they did today was confirmed that they're like come hell or high water. We're going to open in two thousand and twenty one, and they revealed some of the food items that you're going to be able to try when you go to Super Nintendo world. So let me show you think tool dress. Suggest I mean they sold that dress in a shop in their blackmail trout by so much stuff is capped already like. The the two things I got are already kept the presale. But. You can still or you can still order those things in select sizes. But the food goes I don't know those UK. Those are those are pancake sandwiches what What. So we're looking at. Ladies and gentlemen of some of the themed cafes and other sources they're going to be having some of the they're showcasing our these Mario and Luigi Pancake sandwiches in the pancakes are like tacos but filled with whipped cream. Are Their hats won as an m one as an L. One's read one's green who would have said and Mario doesn't want these photos to be bigger. I apologize everybody watching Mario's pancakes. Sandwich has strawberries and cream and it says who's come. That's a cap joke says Oak Dokey and they're some looking green fruit and cream I'm not sure what exactly is going on yeah I don't know what those fruits are. There's apple or lime I'm. A super mushroom drink and a tropical bottle and a mess moustached fruit creams soda because a little. Alcoholic? Be grateful was bring your own. To. Chat. Hopefully. It just looks really cute and the store is obviously look all Mario we on the inside, all the chairs, little toadstools and I now this is GonNa. Be My happy place. I'm ready. We're definitely going to do what's good games field trip to Super Nintendo World Orlando when it finally opened. Hundred percent. Rona. No likes he rona. And your the worst get out of here. Okay Only Rona would take a hint. All right. Our last piece of Nintendo news was this little news blurb that dropped this week about Nintendo treehouse spotlighting Jairo Warriors, age of calamity, and then a little bit more info about. Three Pittman three, the deluxe version, Jairo Warriors. So age of calamity is this an expansion it and actually get a chance to watch this this is the. Way tecmo warriors spin off. So it's like real warriors, but it's called age, of course, because it takes place one hundred years before breath of the wild. Yes. So what's GonNa be really interesting about this game it's GonNa show in deep dive into some of the characters and we're GonNa see like personal interactions and here a little bit more about their backstory. Narrative perspective. This is cool but the showcase today the Nintendo. treehouse showed her Bosa style fighting. Zelda showed link fighting a little bit young EMPA-. That is going to be hitting co rocks and the weapons won't break. They. Also, the weapons work in this game. And I showed a little bit about of the map in the weapon upgrades system and it actually looks really good. I mean I did not like the first Jairo warriors primarily because the multiplayer was really bad someone had a play on the way you gain pat and someone could play on. TV. was like the way they designed it why they did that I don't know Nintendo Intendo, but it's really fun and the game play it looks great and some of the places that they visited. To see loan ranch, you could see all the locations essentially from breath wild before the the fan. So most of these villages are intact. The buildings aren't all destroyed. You get to see some of Aksu Games like an ochre enough time Linlin ranch, for example, AC, the same buildings and the little sheds. If it looks good. It looks like all the kicking, ass. Zelda out here. Making her keep and look at that. So she is primarily her Sheikha Asleep abilities which every character has access to you. But hers are a little bit more epic like her bomb for example, is like A. Bomb that spits out many bombs and it's pretty global. Yeah. Yeah. I think this is going to be fun. This actually comes out November twentieth and pick me comes out October thirtieth. So these are two. I mean, I think this game's much bigger than pigment three personally. But yeah, and it's an awesome set up their sleeve, which is nice. It's interesting that they're choosing to focus on this game. Because I think a lot of people were hoping for an update on what's happening with breath of the wild to not to say that we need like a full game play reveal or anything like that. Clearly, this game isn't going to be happening until two thousand, twenty one at the earliest but it would have been nice to get like a teaser or something in conjunction with this Jairo. Warriors announcement, and this is a little bit of A. Guy When this game was announced. Feel like those were a month ago a few weeks ago. was they said, yeah. Sorry. We know. We know what you really want. Just please be patient you really really want. Yeah, they. Yeah but. We can't give out to you yet. The thing. Thanks bye. Yeah I. Think it'll be good. It'll be a little guitar over. It also face. This is an appetizer main course exactly at Obama's or Bros a kick ass you. She got a hack and slash the lightning, their little shield she's like mosquito. been and kill you. If you want to see the game play that we're referring to, of course, youtube dot com slash what's good games or you can go to the Nintendo YouTube account as well. But did you spend a lot of time with hydro warriors doesn't Feel like your style of game and please tell me if I'm inaccurate, you're not wrong. No I played like I said, a little bit of the I went back. When was on we you but the problem with you is this is kind of Game I. Think I could only played multiplayer because it's just more entertaining play someone but someone had a play on the you game had an some could play on the TV and so as you can imagine that didn't work very well Jason was playing on the way you gamepad because of course, he was and I had the Nice Big Shiny TV. His game, he knows his role absolutely his game play on the game pad was really laggy. It didn't look very good I mean it was the Game Pad Right? So I played it. It was fun. But the reason I'm more interested in this one is because of again, it's going expand on the story. Breath of the While we're GONNA get a deeper dive into characters like are both saw relationship she had with Zelda and Zelda's relationship with these folks and that's I. Think we're the the excitement comes from for me.

Loren Kopseng: Bird Strike at Night
"Your recently chatting with Marc Baker. Offend of yours and you shared with him some pictures of. You had a bird strike in your beloved. Husky. So do you mind sharing that story with us? We're we're in what we doing how did it happen? We were hunting pheasants in southern South Dakota, a friend of mine, and we hundred up the other short October thirtieth. North here where we live. In five o'clock start to get dark probably five thirty and we got out of this hunting place. So we landed in. Fargo in the dark from southern South Dakota South Appear South Dakota gradually, the town Dallas, and I just came out of a farm. Land Right at this camp where we hunted and I came Outta there I'd feel that Pierre South Dakota way down. So I- plenty of fuel to get to Fargo North Dakota. Dropped my friend off in the dark refueled and started to Bismarck and it was. Also a night ceiling was like A. Twenty, five, hundred, three, thousand feet, which was fine and abused was okay. But my Husky that I had was via foreign the airplane I had replaced the attitude indicator with an electronic one with a decent. Attitude indicator and a ball. So it's basically. A little better than needle airspeed but not much but enough to fly at night if I had to. Actually cost of Fargo heading towards Bismarck North Dakota and I, could see occasionally I was getting a little bit of something. So I put my light on and. I was getting some snow and my airplane doesn't have PTO. Wasn't bad snow but I could see it in the lights and strobes. But I still like it visibility and I was blow the clouds and so I just put her long thirty five hundred feet. Fargo is nine hundred feet above sea level Bismarck in sixteen, Seventy Four. So I'm. Heading west from Fargo North excluded Bismarck North Dakota thirty five hundred feet so roughly fifteen hundred feet above the ground. You know. Easter Bismarck and I've just bad jomon happy trucking along my GPS is working I checked into bismarck approach control. I was squawking the code they gave me and you know just going home all of a sudden. Bo The windshield came in on me and my first reaction was. Airplanes. facture my shop. Why would the windshield break in on me and there was something covering my right I didn't know what it was my glasses. Were smashed my headset. Knocked off it went in the back seat. There was a tremendous amount of cold air hitting. He was about twenty degrees at night. And the bird that hit me I had no idea what it was really came through the front windshield high and took the roof out HUSKIES got plexiglas on the roof to trip that out and then it blew the left windows out. Don't know how but the left window system and yet the the bottom of the flap and cut yet and hit the tail. At, this point in my life I have to, you know bifocals readers so I could see anything. Looking down for a frequency and so lauren cannot partially there for a second. So you just flying back from a nice weekend hunting trip. It's at night snow in a little bit but visibility is good. Just a dark night I presume with overcast. But you're over pretty flat terrain out there North Dakota and it's interesting to me. You didn't hear a loud Bam or the first thing you notice was just your windshield caved in and for a few minutes it sounds like you had no idea why I didn't have any idea. What happened until I got it on the ground other than the windshield came in. I told you the approach control guys I found my headset backseat and cut it up and got it on and told I got a windshield and they were asking me if I wanted to emergency they were voted me about that and I'm trying to fly the airplane and they sure get to see on the ground and I don't Della -mergency please you know slummy fly this thing and so I was able to slow down slightly I didn't WanNa. Definitely wanted to get it on the ground quick but I had a good engine. It was running fine no vibration and control the airplane. I L runs and everything was working right and so I had to airplane from then on it was mainly. So cold in there, it took a big chunk of the top of the airplane out so. I had a tremendous airs, twenty degrees at night. so as immediately, really cold and swansdown helps some. But not much and So I had about twenty five miles to get it to where I live Bismarck. Fortunately, there wasn't any win that night they lit up of a runway for me to one which. Pretty much straight in. I was really glad to get it on the ground and glad they didn't have a serious crossman to deal with or anything else. But I was not able to switch over to our tower frequency or a ground control. But my friends were working in the tower they've been working with me for twenty five miles. And I sold my hey, I can't see that. The frequency. You GotTa land me on approach and taxi me on approach which they did Bismarck's relatively small community in and I knew the tower guy at that time. That was really about it. I got it on the ground and got it our hangar where we got some lights on it, and then I began to see what really happened.
