Jim adams she was found naked but had not been sexually assaulted on december eighth six days later the body of nineteen year old tania nicol was found in the water just outside of switch. It was discovered that she had been missing since october thirtieth and she had been friends with jimmy adams two days later on december tenth. A third victim was found in the woods near jackson. She was eventually identified as twenty four year. Old analii alderson. According to a police statement she had been officiated and was about three months pregnant when she died. One of them was identified two days later as twenty four year old pala casino. She was known to be missing. As of december tenth authorities said she died from compression to the throat. The other woman was identified the next day twenty nine year old annette nicholls who disappeared on december fifth once the murders were linked a group nicknamed operation. Su mac was formed to investigate them. During a press conference. On december fourteenth authorities told the public. It was believed the bodies were founded dumpsites and these sites were not where the murders occurred. Two suspects were arrested in this case. On december eighteenth thirty seven year. Old male was arrested but his name was never released to the public and he was let go without charge. The second arrest was steve right. Forty eight noted as a forklift truck driver. His arrest stuck his trial started on january fourteenth. Two thousand eight. He pled not guilty but he did admit he was seeing prostitutes since the nineteen eighties. And he said he had sex with each of the five victims in this capacity. Dna and fiber evidence linked him to the victims. The trial received a lot of media attention. The murders were compared to those of peter sutcliffe known as the yorkshire reporter. Peter william sutcliffe. Tone as peter william kuhnen was an english serial killer. Who was dubbed the yorkshire ripper in nineteen eighty one. He was found guilty of murdering thirteen women and attempting to murder. Seven others between nineteen. Seventy five and nineteen eighty. He was sentenced to twenty concurrent life sentences of life imprisonment which were converted to a whole life. Order in two thousand and ten steve wright's rented home was located near the red light area during his trial. Jurors were taken to sites involved in the case including the exterior of rights house and the sites where the victims were found. The first victim to go missing was tanya nicole who was just nineteen. She was from ipswich. She disappeared on october thirtieth. Her body was discovered on december eighth in river. "We see in plane and pilot magazine. We finally know exactly how bad the pandemic has been for. Airline pilots and the numbers here are pretty staggering and eliminating max indeed. I was really quite stunned to take a look and see. Just how bad things are. I mean we all know that the airlines have been hit disproportionately hard here during the pandemic that know some pilots have been out of work. This was a survey done by goose. Which is a pilot. Recruitment firm not for birds but for a and they found that nearly half of all pilots worldwide. Either looking for work or on furlough which was shocking to me. They said that thirty percent of the people surveyed were out of work and looking and other seventeen percents that they were furloughed awaiting further news and additional. Six percents said they were still employed with their airline. But we're doing non-flying works pretty stunning. Half half the pilots Basically out of work or looking for work in this comes from a survey of two thousand five hundred ninety eight pilots. This survey was open for four weeks just to kind of set. The timeframe in it closed october thirtieth twenty twenty and it was anonymous survey thirty questions and the survey was designed for pilots of all ranks. First officers second officers and cadets in some of the data in this is just really really fascinating and we'll have a link to the survey report which was done in conjunction with flake global. And a you just peruse some of this and find some really really interesting interesting things but By way of demographics of those almost twenty six hundred pilots forty-three percent of the respondents were in europe. Nineteen percent from the middle east and africa eighteen from asia pacific Twelve percent from north. America six percent from south america and two percent from china. So it's pretty Pretty global in the survey touches on things like pilot retention pilot job security employee engagement even Stress mental health wellbeing things like that so Some really really interesting statistics Couple of the ones that i like. Maybe if you guys saw some things that piqued your interest but one of the questions was when do you think aviation will make a full recovery to pre covid levels and not. Surprisingly only ten percent said up to one year the biggest spike was up to two years. Thirty four percent of the pilots thought up to two years but twenty eight percent up to three years and longer than that twelve percent four years. Ten percent five years and six percent said they thought it would never never be the same So that's the pilot's perspective. No one was. Do you think your mental health has been affected by the pandemic and here there is a direct correlation between the age of the pilot and the pursuit pilots that group in In how many of them thought that their mental health had been a acted for those pilots. Fifty five to sixty four years old thirty. Two percent thought their mental health had been affected for pilots forty five to fifty four years old but younger thirty six percent when we go down to thirty five to forty four year olds forty four percent of them thought. Their mental health has affected in the twenty five to thirty four year old group forty-nine percent and pilots under twenty four years old fifty eight percent of them thought their mental health had been affected by the pandemic so. I thought that was a really interesting result. I wasn't totally surprised by the The differences once. You mentioned the difference. I thought okay but it's the younger folks are having a tougher time. Think about someone who's twenty four years old this may be the first In a bad thing that's happened to them in their in their career folks are in their mid fifty s have probably gone through multiple things in the past and probably a better able to to ride through a downturn whereas you know young folks just not have that cushion of You know savings built up to right through. Its doesn't surprise me but still it's a large large number folks nearly six percent under a twenty-four saying mental health. Been impacted the the demographics of the respondents in terms of gender. Was you know the numbers are kind like the same numbers we've seen for a long time. Almost all male four percent female in one percent preferred not to say. I'm not sure why they would prefer not to say in. An anonymous survey but four percent identified themselves as female Which really kind of hope that that number would be coming up. So what's GonNa be really interesting about this game it's GonNa show in deep dive into some of the characters and we're GonNa see like personal interactions and here a little bit more about their backstory. That is going to be hitting co rocks and the weapons won't break. They. Also, the weapons work in this game. TV. was like the way they designed it why they did that I don't know Nintendo Intendo, but it's really fun and the game play it looks great and some of the places that they visited. To see loan ranch, you could see all the locations essentially from breath wild before the the fan. So most of these villages are intact. The buildings aren't all destroyed. You get to see some of Aksu Games like an ochre enough time Linlin ranch, for example, AC, the same buildings and the little sheds. If it looks good. It looks like all the kicking, ass. Zelda out here. Making her keep and look at that. So she is primarily her Sheikha Asleep abilities which every character has access to you. But hers are a little bit more epic like her bomb for example, is like A. Bomb that spits out many bombs and it's pretty global. Yeah. Yeah. I think this is going to be fun. "Your recently chatting with Marc Baker. Offend of yours and you shared with him some pictures of. You had a bird strike in your beloved. Husky. So do you mind sharing that story with us? We're we're in what we doing how did it happen? We were hunting pheasants in southern South Dakota, a friend of mine, and we hundred up the other short October thirtieth. North here where we live. In five o'clock start to get dark probably five thirty and we got out of this hunting place. So we landed in. Fargo in the dark from southern South Dakota South Appear South Dakota gradually, the town Dallas, and I just came out of a farm. Land Right at this camp where we hunted and I came Outta there I'd feel that Pierre South Dakota way down. So I- plenty of fuel to get to Fargo North Dakota. Dropped my friend off in the dark refueled and started to Bismarck and it was. Also a night ceiling was like A. Twenty, five, hundred, three, thousand feet, which was fine and abused was okay. But my Husky that I had was via foreign the airplane I had replaced the attitude indicator with an electronic one with a decent. Attitude indicator and a ball. So it's basically. A little better than needle airspeed but not much but enough to fly at night if I had to. Actually cost of Fargo heading towards Bismarck North Dakota and I, could see occasionally I was getting a little bit of something. So I put my light on and. I was getting some snow and my airplane doesn't have PTO. Wasn't bad snow but I could see it in the lights and strobes. Don't know how but the left window system and yet the the bottom of the flap and cut yet and hit the tail. At, this point in my life I have to, you know bifocals readers so I could see anything. Looking down for a frequency and so lauren cannot partially there for a second. So you just flying back from a nice weekend hunting trip. It's at night snow in a little bit but visibility is good. Just a dark night I presume with overcast. But you're over pretty flat terrain out there North Dakota and it's interesting to me. You didn't hear a loud Bam or the first thing you notice was just your windshield caved in and for a few minutes it sounds like you had no idea why I didn't have any idea. What happened until I got it on the ground other than the windshield came in. I told you the approach control guys I found my headset backseat and cut it up and got it on and told I got a windshield and they were asking me if I wanted to emergency they were voted me about that and I'm trying to fly the airplane and they sure get to see on the ground and I don't Della -mergency please you know slummy fly this thing and so I was able to slow down slightly I didn't WanNa. Definitely wanted to get it on the ground quick but I had a good engine. It was running fine no vibration and control the airplane. I L runs and everything was working right and so I had to airplane from then on it was mainly. So cold in there, it took a big chunk of the top of the airplane out so. I had a tremendous airs, twenty degrees at night. so as immediately, really cold and swansdown helps some. But not much and So I had about twenty five miles to get it to where I live Bismarck. Fortunately, there wasn't any win that night they lit up of a runway for me to one which. Pretty much straight in. I was really glad to get it on the ground and glad they didn't have a serious crossman to deal with or anything else. But I was not able to switch over to our tower frequency or a ground control. But my friends were working in the tower they've been working with me for twenty five miles. And I sold my hey, I can't see that. The frequency. You GotTa land me on approach and taxi me on approach which they did Bismarck's relatively small community in and I knew the tower guy at that time. That was really about it. I got it on the ground and got it our hangar where we got some lights on it, and then I began to see what really happened.
