"Earlier we heard mayor Kenney announced that this is the deadline to request the mail in ballot for the June second primary in Pennsylvania the do that online and drop off your ballot at a red white and blue box near the Octavius Caddo statue the long city hall we haven't mailed the ballot itself yet if you're in the suburbs it's probably already too late that's according to Montgomery County officials as we hear from our suburban bureau chief K. Y. W. C. Jim Miller Montgomery County elections board chairman Ken Laurence says the US postal service is taking about eight to ten days for delivery what we've been seeing from the mail delivery shows that if you even if you put it in the mail today there's a high likelihood that it won't get back in time he's recommending people use one of Montgomery County secure five drop off boxes there's a challenge to getting these boxes during the pandemic there's also a staffing challenge with that as well because I mean we're not just we weren't just putting them somewhere at and going so we need to make sure that we have the proper staffing for it the locations of the boxes Ron Monica PA dot org either in green lane Pottstown willow Grove Lansdale in Norristown you can only drop off your ballot cannot bring others from your family or your household Lawrence acknowledges that's frustrating but says it's a state law anyone who requested a mail in ballot can not but like they normally would in person but if you didn't get your ballot in time or if you didn't send it back you can go to your polling place and cast a provisional

He may just be talking to next pollution of windows ten but for years as long as the company has gone without releasing a new Wes, since windows, XP, perhaps, Microsoft, could be setting the stage for a major announcement in the coming months. What do you guys think? Let me know your thoughts down in the comment section. By the way, if you're interested in reading this article, or any other article cover today had on over to tech news, gadget dot net for slash one two seven I believe. We don't check. I don't know. I want to just go to technical gadget dot net. Whatever the show. No is for today. I don't know. I can't I can't pop it up, otherwise you'd be like Rusi looking at numbers on screen and stuff. I sorry I don't have. I only have two screens going on. It's the loan day in my eyes across in case he did. No, I'm kidding do not. But if they were well, that'd be a great excuse of Octavius could somehow make that happen. He's my off stage producer who kind of helps me out on stuff from time to time. But usually, if I put down the shovel down a shovel okay shovel has been put down. Moving onto some more tech news. What Microsoft celebrates ten years of being NS was so news worthy? It completely missed my radar. This was yet from yesterday posted on may twenty eighth. Microsoft is celebrating the tenth anniversary of launching being as its internet search engine, but being wasn't Microsoft's. I try it this market, previously marketed MSN, search windows, live search, and wives searched before recalibrating rebranding in recasting, as being as a decision engine in hopes of differentiating it from Google search and so glad they finally picked a good name in a good option for a search engine..

"He needs for his campaign. There's no good choice. Ending can make a table knows this out of loyalty to clear Patrick Anthony denies his wife Octavius kind of false help. She already set out on the trip by the time. She got the news. And now she she finds out. She's not wanted returns to Rome, a powerful woman scorn. That's not good. Anthony has now rejected Octavia and essentially rejected caveat with her and thirty six without tibia or Octavian help Anthony and his men take the kingdom of Armenia a land that party had taken decades earlier, a substantial victory against the the party, and he declares the kingdom Roman province. He celebrates in true lavish Roman over the top style. He has the previously ROY. Minted for the occasion, she becomes the first foreigner to appear on a Roman coin. This has to be a huge insult to Octavia. She has to find out about this her brother has to find out about this after the victory. Anthony does not return to Rome. He stays with Cleopatra which sends Octavian strong message of go fuck yourself. We don't need you for eastern expansion plans. We'll do this without you things are going super well for Cleopatra now. So she's out she's able to supplier husband with all he needs for war. "Characters in the cut scenes. The main characters Octavian dance. Never looked great very expensive. Some of the close ups Octavius pushing real look. Look, I'm as ING I think Detroit, maybe looks better in the faces. Like, I think Detroit's faces are like phenomenon and I feel like it has a kind of a look to it in the way that Spiderman also does, but I'm not seeing Spiderman has to stay, but we have to give a shout out to those characters. Incredible. We leave it on there for I think once we get rid of. Trying to get rid of it to say like these other games are all looking better thing that sit out. I think in twos not going to be in this top three. Those areas though. It's more in the level of detail. Like, then they're so unique even just going around this racetrack level that could have been the super simple thing. Oh, here's the crowds. Here's the thing. They've got this whole museum in this whole military thing. Like all the things on the wall. You read in these standups these drivers they make like they they cram so much all chievements of that those especially the last game. I think honestly, the whole hitman series is set design like that they have always excelled at and especially in the last two as they have sort of gone into more of a map focus for those games. They are incredible it creating these very detailed very like honestly like living feeling world. I think this game is like most other aspects of this game. It's more uneven the first one like the drug cartel map is pretty drab. Yeah. Parts of Mumbai or a pre forgettable the ones that hit the credit diverg racetrack racetrack map, the the suburbs map. And the last map are all fantastic maps overall crispness to this game that I really do like at the same. Time. I think the animation can get stiff and mechanical gave it just kind of mechanical kind of list. About it. Not into the robotic quality enhances the ridiculousness. Yes. But it doesn't not in this Pacific. I agree. Okay. Like the way that briefcase flies having having gone by cutting it, but having gone back and played some of those old maps in the new engine like I think some of the levels look better in the first game. I think your parents Krueger is beautiful yet. That's a good, man. She. Oh god. Yeah. Strategist be him. I battlefield five. Like if this was best graphics technical. Maybe. But I don't know. What do you think? I think there's really some some tremendous looking just it's the same stuff that I think we talk about with any frostbite engine game is or any from dice. Anyways. Just like this mud looks really muddy like this really good like just floating like puddles of water in this mud, and like that stuff really great in the light off it and all this other stuff the explosions, the great, I think it's a really awesome looking game. I'm like, I zero passionate about that's kinda why why mentioned, but I do think on a technical level. It is really tremendous. I don't think it's gonna make top three. But like in a world where we didn't cut Spiderman yet put battlefield in that same camp. So I say we cut both. Going to be top three. Sure. Like if we're being realistic stuff. I'm away. I'm maybe I'm a little often what's going to be in the top three here. So I well, do you think battlefield five three? I don't think I still would hang onto maybe Spiderman in the top three. But I might have a different idea of what's in the top three. I the reason I brought a battlefield is like World War Two has been done to death. And I don't know that nice looking World War Two. Sure. It's the best. It's ever. I'm sure. Two. Yeah. I think we're okay to cut it. I honestly if we're being real about this category. I think we're talking about red dead. I would probably say forces on the list, and I don't know what are third is. Scroll backups just so it's mentioned we don't put it on. But they did a hell of a job with Spyro remastered. Okay. Oh side by side. That was not a half ass remastered. They did a great job with..

"This is a point where we talk about the issue. Get everyone hot and bothered. I'm your host, Cheri Gregg. And one thing that gets Philadelphia residents hot under the collar is bad accounting of this three. Sam Katz is making headlines after he won an EMMY for his documentary on one of America's unsung heroes. That man is Octavius weakcat. Oh, he was a black. Civil rights leader who was murdered on election day in south Philadelphia in eighteen seventy one with us studio to this the award winning work is businessman political hopeful filmmaker and founder of this remaking productions they have cats. Welcome to flashpoint. Thanks for having me. It's great to be. Yes. Oh, Sam you are a lot of things you do a lot of different things. We're going to focus real quick on this documentary of oak, tavis cat. Tell your most recent one of your recent work Octavius Valentine caddo Dory is lost. And was rediscovered really to his credit by a group led by Jim Kenney gym straw who wanted to create four. Philadelphia. What turned out to be the first monument dedicated to the contributions in memory of an African American the timing of that, of course after Charlottesville in September of two thousand seventeen was quite unique. Yeah, we had been exploring Philadelphia's history and in the eighteen sixties Octavius caddo, then a fantastic baseball player teacher at the institute for colored youth a proponent of access to streetcars for African Americans and a promoter of the right to vote young civil rights leader emerged on the scene in Philadelphia as a most impactful character, but one largely lost in history. Yeah. So we helped excavate that story as did the committee working on the monument, and we decided to produce a fourteen minute video on a life and contributions of caddo time to be released at the time of the unveiling of the monument. So he's an interesting human being whose life was cut short very early. And who? Had. He lived the length of say, Frederick Douglass might well have emerged someone on the same level as Frederick Douglass. There were Octavius cattle is in virtually every city in the north, but caddo in Philadelphia was an enormously important person. Yeah. And I had a chance to watch the film very well done, and it talked about how when he he died. He was murdered on election day. He was murdered on on an election day in Philadelphia in which African American men voting Emeril election. I believe for the first time host ABRAHAM LINCOLN, and the founding of a Republican party that had just emancipated slaves. Yeah. Democrats in Philadelphia, very heavily ethnic, very often Irish Catholic wanted to tamp down the turnout in in the fourth ward. Which is more immensely, which is set just south of south street. Yeah. And caddo and seven six others were murdered on election day. He was not the only one dozens of. People were beaten up homes were ransacked. The message was to suppress the vote. Yeah. It's a different type of suppression than we that. We see today today, we institutional suppression denial of rights to vote because you don't have the right idea in North Dakota native Americans are having to show addresses and they live on reservations with no home addresses in Georgia. We're seeing the secretary of state candidate for governor disqualifying fifty three thousand registrants this is a part of American history. The talk about your filmmaking because you do a lot of stories about Philadelphia to a large extent when I decided to start a career in filmmaking. I never actually thought it would be a career but ten years ago. I knew that Philadelphians were prideful about their history. I also knew they didn't know anything about. Yeah. They basically hugged seventeen seventy six. So we became a city that when we have guests. We take them to Independence Hall to see the liberty bell, the president's house the exhibition on slavery. But we don't go beyond the founding period of the Republic and Philadelphia's obviously quintessential role in that. But it's a nineteenth century city. I mean, if you look at the neighborhoods, they were basically created through the allocation of streetcar lines, why do we have these neighborhoods because the city granted accompany a right? The right to develop a streetcar and that made the neighborhoods accessible to where the jobs were. So we also have a fire station. Yeah. Community that was for a long time, even after Philadelphia consolidated one police force in eighteen fifty four is another seventeen years before the fire houses came under municipal control. I don't think most Philadelphians had any understanding of that. I certainly didn't. And the city that we are today. The the Park City hall all done in the nineteenth century, and hopefully in the conclusion of our major series, the great experiment, Philadelphia. The great experiment, which we are finishing the final two episodes. Now, we will be able to launch a conversation that will help inform the city's future by making people more cognizant of its past which are next big project. Well, we just finished a film called sisters in freedom, and it was premiered in September. But it'll be broadcast on women's history month in in March. It's the story of a generation of women excluded from the American anti-slavery society because they were women who led by Sarah, maps, Douglas and Lucretia Mott and Angelina grumpy congregated in Philadelphia to promote abolitionist so tell people where they can find. Find your documentaries are documentaries are available at no cost to the public at history of Philly dot com. Sam katz. Thank you for the work that you do..

"So it was really the evolution from, you know, the server being run on individual EC two instance as part of a customer's application architecture to this push to containerization, which I think is driven JR and you know, in alignment with what our customers are doing. One of the sort of interesting things with for a soft move into in the cloud is the move to Marcus Octavius service. Let's thing really mucks around with your revenue right that the original model say on some of these I can just, I've got a bunch of people paying x. amount per hour, mend whatever it is. They have a long running his fun that you can actually sort of ban that up and that's great Wayne, you Piggly going stateless right now with. The various clap providers Billy to just spin up a container. You know, there's no EC two instance or whatever. It's just being spun up in may drop down a game that sort of starts to get into like, had away, make sure my revenue. What am I getting out of this them up moves you too much more of a pay for what you use. Sort of model is close to the way the sort of virtual machines approach. And now now where everything is really, really, really going civilize. That's a real problem in softly sailing. So can you tell Sherman works and sales? Yeah, yeah. So. Interesting. So the migration, how many people were working on a house, you divide up the work, and what was the technology stack that you were migrating to? Can you give me more of a picture for the architecture and the planning process around that migration or Dench who is original creator of the Jasper reports library. He and his team actually took the initiative and started working on JR, and it was really their understanding their ownership of the Jasper reports library that made it easy for them to really do. So they worked with our engineering team and the front and engineering team that created the visualized j s s decay the Java script library and the three of them. Those three, those groups working together really were responsible for creating JR. And initially, to be honest, the scope of it was a bit more construe. Rained, and as we got more into the project, we suddenly realized that we could start to incorporate more functionality into it than we Ridgely plan for, which is why we then extended the API is out to the visualize. Jess, you know, the Duffy script library and we found that actually we created something that was far more more capable than we originally anticipated. So the technology stack remains Java, right? The friendly libraries Java script, although we will be migrating to type script and the actual library self is Java, and that is served up via jetty, right? So the the idea was to take something originally that was language dependent, which was the Jasper reports library and then turn it into something that was really language, independent environment, independent. So Nike run this as containerize service anywhere and integrated into any environment. So one of the interesting things that we..

Cattle every year that river has had less and less water in it It's become a kind of problem, because there's less no peck in the mountains every year Sometimes the reason it doesn't snow low levels in the waterways means tough times for local. Native American tribes who depend on, healthy salmon runs to keep their hatcheries fisheries afloat says so these on the flip side the farmers and ranchers. Needs to draw out the river water and groundwater reserves to irrigate crops in hydrate cattle. They're all kind of at odds with each other and somewhere in between is the truth and that's when conflicts come from legal battles, to townhall squabbles fights over water rights can pick neighbor against neighbor and somewhere in there we have to find ways to come to cure each other and not. Attack each other to capture the spirit of the rural region where the story is set so, Lisa and Jobson agreed to stage the. Production at a working horse ranch here in LA the courtship ranch was a fitting choice the creek fire, came dangerously close to destroying it last December that. Blaze prompted fire officials to issue warnings the dry conditions and higher than normal temperatures signaled More trouble ahead, the people who are seeing its effects the most immediately are the ones who are most resistant to kind of say it's climate change and why because they seen. This before again here's director Kate job sound and that's part of what this is how do, we overcome our personal traumas and be. Able to really come together to face these larger issues like changing climates trout's fires these things that are, happening to us that we feel.

"Time for sports with rick worthington well the boise state football team ended their spring training with the annual spring game now during this particular format it was the number ones versus the number twos meaning the number one offense in number one defense against the number twos on both sides of the ball and so of course the number ones smoked him forty two two seven was the final but more importantly brett rippin was really impressive it will play fake look downfield throw the ball long scott evans out there makes the cats a thirty yard line gets inside the twenty inside the fifteen down to the fourteen yard line it'll be a gain of about fifty seven yards on the play and boise state will have it first and ten inside the red zone so just to give me an idea brett rippin was fifteen out of nineteen passing for two hundred sixty seven yards and three scores pretty good octavius evans was also really impressive with five receptions for one hundred twenty four yards and two touchdowns so who's going to step up and beat out wide out that big game guy this year looks like maybe octavius could be the guy after the game coach arsene said brett rippin really needed to come out and look good like this well he did have a good day and it was really good to see he's worked so hard to have a day like this to go out there and be accurate like he was to move the pocket like he did you know brett's and i think this at that position in particular there's so much you know just development that has to continue and as long as he will do that and that and.
