"A run with these got the neighbor girls Barbie doll on the air fryer. That doesn't make her a hot chick. Crispy, if that works, we get the ten in bed fix. Donnie. Donnie baker, by the way, for a guy that hates to travel. He's a traveling man this weekend. Donnie is going to be at the capitol theater in Burlington, Iowa, and then tomorrow night he'll be at the one event center in Quincy, Illinois. One event. Just one. One at a time. One per day, that's it. So relax you guys. It's just the one. Okay. What's a good tonight? It's the capital theater in Burlington, Iowa. That'll be cool. Good to see Donnie back up and running and back on the road. You look more than one, you go to two events down the street. Well, sick of this. Have you heard about the new Eugene Levy's? Show called the reluctant traveler became traveling. Yeah, it premieres on Apple TV plus, I think, tonight. And they make him go to places and do things he didn't really want to do, like go on safari and go to the Arctic to go ice fishing. I find him hilarious. So do I so talented? I can't wait to see the show. I think it will be really an interesting watch. I can't define why he's so fun. And his son is hilarious. In an indefinable way. Incredible. Well, I'll check that out. Thank you. Apple TV plus. Now we have a chick McGee at the sports desk. We've all been talking about this Mississippi state pitcher all morning off the air too, trying to figure out this guy can throw lefty and righty as a pitcher and he can throw it equally 90 plus miles an hour with both arms. So he's knowing nothing about baseball. I assume that's a really incredible thing. Is there a genetic aspect of being ambidextrous and obviously you'd have to cultivate both arms, but that just seems just amazing to me. I don't know. I think most people who are right or left handed, they can't imagine using the other appendage for anything. Wasn't there wasn't there a president who could write in Greek with his left and his right hand simultaneously. No kidding. Wow. Well, that's a thank you. That's the voice of God. That's a talent that I guess doesn't really help you much in life, but that's a good party trick though. Yeah. There's a pitcher for the looks like Oakland a's, his name is pat vin diddy,, DI, TTA. He's a member of a committee, Tom, did you know the little anybody did he committed? Did he committee? Mizuno makes gloves sorry, Josh. He makes his gloves. There are 6 fingered baseball gloves. They've made his gloves since he was 7 years old. Cool. He throws with both his left and his right. I've never heard of such a thing. He's made his major league debut, this is back in 2015. You see this sounds like double the practice to me. I'm out here longer than the other guys. Is that are you just so good at throwing with your right arm that you get bored one day and you're like, well, I'll just try to figure this out. No, I think they saw this at a young age. And they went, well, go ahead and like Tom said cultivate both sides here. Here, here's me throwing with my left arm, ready? Yes. But I bet once I did need more practice than the other. It's not, right? Yeah, I don't know. I wonder if he writes when he sits down to write stuff if it's right here lefty. It's righty, but it's constantly misspelled. I mean, just everything. Yeah. I wonder what Andy jacks with. Can we interview them about that? What hand he jacks with? Vulgar road. Everybody was thinking that I just have the guts to ask. Are we all righties? Is there anybody that's a switch hitter in here? I'm a lefty. When it comes to that, but I'm a right handed man. See exactly, yeah, you're a switch hitter. Because I broke my right wrist during the formative years that junior high high school time. And so I switched to a left and I never went back. So not even a broken bone would stop it. That's right. You know what they call that in skateboarding? They call it riding goofy. Yeah, I'm a goofy. Is there any way we can change the subject? Could I do anything to get it? NFL throughout his career, Chad ochocinco Johnson, you remember him. Established himself as one of the best players. Best wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals in the league and despite what's many thought he was a level headed adult apparently, Johnson joined the Shannon sharp podcast called club Shea. I like it. And talked about financial responsibility and ochocinco revealed that he lived at Bengal stadium for the first two years of his career. What? Chad said you got to remember I stayed at the stadium the first two years because I didn't want to spend any money. I mean, what's the point? Why are you telling me to go rent a house buy a house, get a condo, everything I need was right there at the stadium. Showers, cafeteria, TV, couch, gaming system, what's the point? Is there a bedroom? By Johnson, there are beds. There are? Yeah, they're trading tables, things like that. Minimum. By Johnson's third NFL season, he was, of course, a star, and at the time coach Marvin Lewis had to come to him and go, look, Jen, I think it's time you move out. And he finally did, but he moved right down the street, he said. That's awesome. I bet he saved a bunch. He saved a bunch of people. One of the first guys I ever knew that was an NFL player. And he was doing pretty well. He had a roommate. Yeah. And he rented a condo. Didn't want to get tied down. There's a lot of people forget that these guys in professional sports, many of them have very short careers. They make all the money up front. How cool is it to take her back to the stadium? I think that I saw an interview very cool. And he said, even on dates, you would like go Dutch, and he buys all fake jewelry. He just didn't want to waste his money. I heard the fake jewelry, yeah. Is that true? Yeah, and he was also he was neighbors with Roger Stone. When Roger Stone got arrested by the FBI, shadow of Cinco tweeted like, man, the FBI just got my boy roger. Looking out his window tricking coffee? Yes. That's why you're right. He's like a really, people think that he's done because his last name is ochocinco, and yeah, that's probably kind of a dumb guy move. It's weird, but he's pretty smart and pretty interesting. Yeah, it's smart because I know who he is and I don't follow that very much. Yeah, remember he had that put on the back of his shirt. And he could play. He was cool. Great player. Yeah. The opposite of that is I went to an event one time with a bunch of NBA players and for whatever reason there was a special reserved parking area and I was sort of sent that way. All these guys were driving bentleys. Let me tell you something. People can tell your privilege right on site. Which is cool if you're making $5 million or $20 million for a significant period of time. But if you're a rookie in the NBA and that's your only season, driving that Bentley may be short lived. Yeah, maybe a bad idea. So osho Cinco certainly smart guy with respect to that. More power to him. Sounds like a cool what's the name of the podcast she she? What is it? Club Shay shake. With Shannon Sharpe. Sounds good. Sounds good. You might have to give that a listen. Guess what time it is? What time is it? What time is it? World record time, or is it time for more Mississippi Queen? Okay. All right. Yeah, we are looking forward to it.

"To people about how can I put on weight and they tell him like, you've got to eat more. And you got to turn it into muscle. And he's like, fine, I get it. And you know, you've seen him anyway. He is one of those weird, crazy bodies anyway. Yeah. So now it's what mid January. So it's two months after the season ended. He weighs one 75. Wow. He put on so he put on the weight back that he lost her in the season. So it was around one 61. And he put on 13 pounds of muscle, and the reason I mentioned this, I think he can officially beat me in a fight now. I think it's officially over. And I think he knows it now. There's a different, there's a different energy in our house now where he's like, he kind of knows he's the alpha. And I would still beat him because I would fight to the death, but I'd really have to cheat now. Like I would have to poke him in the eye. Yeah, I'd have to hit him in the balls. I would have to like grab his hair and have to basically, I'd have to like ratty piper at basically. I'd have to throw salt in his eyes when he's not looking, but if it's just convention, I'll know all the tricks. I'll still win. It's like my wife plays tennis 6 times a week and I'll always be able to be here because I can always get in her head. With him, I'll still win, but if it's just straight up, like if we're in like a UFC cage or something, like he's winning now. My day is done. It's a wrap. Wow. Yeah. Really, it's over. You don't want to check next gen stats or something, come out here and figure it out too. It's really over. I think it's done. One 75 is like he's like 5 11 and a half, one 75. He has nobody fat. And he's just like, he just walking around with his boxer shorts, kind of like size me up. If this goes down, I'm winning. He has a kind of look to him though. You should just ask him. Why don't you ask him straight out? What would he say if you asked him? You think you could take me right now? He would say, absolutely, I could take you. And then I would just punch him in the balls, and then I would name the head. Yeah, who's the tough guy now? Forget about that. Just stop feeding him. That's the problem. Yeah, I was making meat sauce 'cause I was like the cook during the first day of football. Like to cook and watch football and make all day a bit. And I was making this bison beef and he's like, can I have half of the second thing a bison beef you're making? And I'm like, what are you going to put it with? It's like, I'm just going to eat it. So he's in that mindset. So anyway, so now he's talking about he's talking about playing lacrosse. He's going to play spring lacrosse so he can hit kids. So this is all happening. What does he want to be by September or August when football rolls around? Does he want it? He wants to be one 80 with all the same speed. Yeah. That's good. Yeah. Bad question might grow. He might have two more inches. Well, you know, if he wants to pay like $950, they could, it could really work on his yearbook picture to make him whatever weight he really wants to be. And he could look like the whale or, you know, he could look like Chad Johnson, ochocinco, whatever he wants to do. It'll be the most famous family fight since Prince William shoved Harry lightly backwards in the kitchen that time. Set him off balance for a split second. Which is chapter 18 of the book. Spare. I only exist because they needed my organs in case something happened. Setting this guy back to England. What

"It is we're taping this at a little later today. It's 5 o'clock, Pacific time, p.m.. You can do this in the morning. I feel like that extra 7 hours really gained us an edge. We got killed a $1 million picks. We'll talk about that in a second. Action packed football week. I mean, wow, I talked about Rogers at the top. I know you talked about it on your show as well. I think we're both instant to see how the NFL handles that, whether they handle it this year, whether they wait, but clearly some rules were broken. So we have that. We have the Odell thing, kind of unfolding, where it seems like he's going to get wave traded, whatever, nothing happens. We had the Watson thing. Where it seemed like that was on the two yard line to borrow a football term to Miami and ended up not happening. And then and then your guy McVeigh goes and gets von Miller for a second and a third against Denver to pay his entire salary. Quick question. Is von Miller's still von Miller? Is he 70% of von Miller? The hope is that he is. And obviously, I can unpack this a little bit more that we're three days removed. They tried over the off season to get von Miller and the Broncos were like not yet. Let's see what happens this season. Season starts von Miller was awesome to start to see. And once he got in the field, he was second quarterback. Then last week, the rams traded Kenny young, who was like a good young linebacker to the Broncos for a 6th round pick and a lot of people were like, well, what was that all about? And in those conversations they're like, would you trade von and the Broncos were like, we might trade von? And then it's really funny that they play this game in Houston, the rams. And they don't have great Wi-Fi on their plane. So they take off leaving Houston and they have no idea what's happening in the late window games. They land in the Broncos had beaten Washington and the Chargers had lost to the Patriots. So now the Broncos are four and four, and a game out of first. And they're assuming ah, this thing is done. Like the Broncos, they're suddenly going to say, well, we can actually win the division to call up Monday morning and the Broncos Vasquez like a second and a third. We'll pay for most of salary, but if he goes to second and the third will do it. So they're doing it. And I think one of the reasons Vaughan wasn't dressed on Sunday last week, they thought he might be able to go, might not have been one of those deals. We're like, let's not risk this trade that we're going to be doing with the rams. So they win the game anyway. He's practicing. He looks good and I can tell you like the intangible stuff, which it's actually really similar. And I went to their game last night against the hawks. It's really similar to what Brooklyn's doing where it's like we sold out and we're all in, but like we're not done. We're going to get patty mills. We're going to go and get Aldridge. We're going to go and get Millsap and it's very similar where it's the lift that it brings the other veterans that they know that, wait, the front office, we're 7 and one recruiting, but the front office isn't satisfied. I'm told Leonard Floyd walked into the building. Wasn't aware and caught wind that they traded for von Miller. And it's like running down the aisle like the hallway. He's like, let's go. Von Miller, that's the cool stuff that hopefully it plays out and he's healthy and it's all good. But it's the Lyft knowing we're not just all in. We're all in all in all in it. We had Scott pioli, former patriots executive, and he was the chief's GM and I think we had him on good morning football and he was like, none of this matters unless they win. So we can celebrate their all in stuff. And I'm like, it's a great point, but the rams know that. They're very deliberate. They're like, it's Super Bowl or not. They know it's a failure, if not. And they'll deal with the cross that bridge when they get there. It's a cool philosophy and it's for veterans. Like the young guys, they'll have to deal with that when it's time. But these veterans, they love it, the coach loves it. And they're all in. It's an interesting parallel with the nets. I hadn't thought of that. So you think like, 'cause we saw this in basketball and I don't remember when it started. Sometime this century, it definitely was the last century of guys kind of doing the ring chasing thing. I guess maybe Mitch Richmond started it with the Lakers Lakers sure. And it's like yeah, and the older guys would kind of gravitate towards the teams of the superstars. So like, for instance, Odell, let's say Cleveland waves Odell. And could he look at it and go, I'll just go with the rams and try to win a ring and then I'll figure out my big contract next year. We certainly haven't seen it work in football. The paths, I think they're in the Brady Belichick the peak. They were always like trying to cherry pick the ochocinco, Albert haynesworth type guys. Trying to get him on small contracts with the thinking you're going to win if you come here. But for the most part, the football part is the time span is so short to make money. I think it's pretty hard to be like, yeah, I'm going to take the minimum for a year, just try to win a wing. What does it get you? Well, I mean, it's interesting. So Desean Jackson sort of did that with the rams and what happens to a lot of these football players. And again, I'll open the bag of what really happened there. He came in to McVeigh's office and was like, let's talk about my touches. I'm only getting 5 to ten snaps a game. I want to play a role in McVeigh's like, dude, you're in your hometown. We're 6 and one. You're getting on the field. I don't know. And he said, I'd like to explore a trade and Sean was basically in the front office. We're like, sure, like, explore a trade. Where do we go from here? So I think with a lot of these wide receivers and Beckham might be included. It's not enough to just be on the team. Like Lesean McCoy has two Super Bowl rings and is like happy to have those. But it was with the chiefs in the box. And I don't think that validates his career in any way. In the NBA, and it's less people in the NBA, too, where it's like, yeah. If you're in a 9 man rotation, the NBA, you're really playing. And NFL just 30 guys are playing? 32? It's like one of those deals where I look at the NFL and you talk about your friend who's a Vikings fan. They're three and four. They've got a lot of good players. They're not winning anything this year. They're probably not winning anything next year. It's like purgatory. And I was watching the hawks last night and they're good and they're young and they're going to be fine..

Chad Ochocinco said $50 too much. I think you can't do that reasonably. Not in this climate. L is too expensive but 80 bucks, though. Billy 80 bucks bugs Think about it. We go to Applebee's. You get two for 20. But then we want to have drinks and local parking because you gotta pay for that. He's got a dollar margarita, baby you can have, like five of those honeys. Thank you. You're going to be going to approve you, please. But at that point, Samantha, like, why did you want to get you drunk for like what? He's trying to do away the drinks his body to get the juices flowing to get the vine. Get it marinated. That's right. You know, Kevin from Lapuente. Big dog. How much money is too much to spend on the first day? I think it just depends up how financially stable you are. You know, you don't want the ball on the $300 a day and not have gas the next day, you know? Okay, Kevin, tell me you and I We're going on a date. But how much are you spending? Um You know what? "Rather than on the interests of the country. So we have to separate out here looking Shankar himself Alexander Lukashenko from the people of Belarus, who clearly wants something different on. None of this is very popular in Belarussian itself, either keeping ochocinco in power or having even a closer relationship with Vladimir Putin and with Russia, So as Western Europe tries to isolate and punish Belarus is Russia likely to try to water down those actions and undermine Western Europe's efforts to impose accountable Bloody well, It is like you to do that, And the other reason is because this leaves look Yushenko with nothing other than Russia to prop him up. Andre, although the Russians were always a bit irritated by looking Shankar trying to play off Europe against Russia, seeking European investment, flirting with the idea of classic diplomatic relations with the European Union, United States as well. I don't want to fuck the bill for Belarus. It's all kinds of escapades that the Russians have been up to recently that you know, I'm not super costly, but when you start to add them together that increases the bill, and if now Belarus becomes financially dependent on Lukashenko on Russia. That's also extraordinary, awkward for Vladimir Putin, who was himself said that he wants to stay in power somewhat indefinitely. But if lucky, Shankar goes, is a result off a popular surprising It's pretty bad for Putin if Russia is already overextended. Is there a chance that Putin might say Look, this is not worth the hassle and encourage Lukashenko to respond to the EU's demands and Become less of an international pariah. It's possible. It depends on whether there see you no greater upside than a down side because again, Putin will not want to see Lukashenko ousted from power as the result of a grassroots opposition movement. Now, if Lukashenko then becomes dependent on Russia on Russia helps orchestrate his removal, or at least in the manages to get him completely subservient to them, And that is a different matter. But right now, I think it's unclear so the Russians are watching to see how everyone responds. And of course, what Lukashenko has done this but the whole world on notice because if we let lucky Shankar get away, if with this we could be pretty sure in the context of the rest of the world, not just in Europe that others will attempt this, too. No. You've been speaking with Belarusians and exile. How do they view this week's events? Well, that completely shocked, as are many of the citizens of neighboring countries and political activists from the Baltic states, Poland, you know you name it. You have to also bear in mind that the road large Belarussian diasporas outside of Belarus. So there's a lot of countries with stake in what happens in the future of Belarus. People are very worried about the collapse of the country. A strong reaction to Lukashenko. People fleeing across the borders on, of course, is a great concern about the potential absorption of Belarus by Russia as well. So there's an awful lot at stake here. And people extraordinary worried about European Union, the United States and others not having a sufficiently robust response that puts Belarus on notice. And anybody else who might be thinking of doing something similar. Fiona.

If I knew that ultra single is walking into the restaurant all the time, I would have become a waiter or waitress. I said, Screw the sports talk radio business. "I'll do a full segment on the passing of the great Hank Aaron coming up next segment. Four Eastern one Pacific also shack in a little hot water, not by everybody knows some people are actually fine with what with what went down. Hands upon. You know how you view it will have that conversation and also to God. McNab brought up a lot of good points. Dean apples with this yesterday on the show, and one thing that he raised in particular about Andy Reid. Uh, at first, you know, glance word first here. If you will it it kind of almost seems Um, almost up to be a bit of an embellishment. But when you actually really think about it, as I did, it might not be so we'll circle back to that as well. But right now we circle back to one of the One of the great receivers of his generation. For sure, six pro bowls two old pros, great personality. We found him on the show. A lot do is just a big time, sparking life. He's always having fun, and he's always honest. That's what we like having him on Chad Ochocinco. Back here on Tiki and Tierney, CBS Sports Radio Chad hey, doing today? Me. I'm feeling really good. First of all, before we even start I want to say Happy New Year. I love you guys hoping the year has been off to a great start for both of you. Thank you, Chad. Appreciate like, great man. We've been safe and sound stuck inside our basement is frustrating is that is that mean, least we swear families of health and everything else. We all the same for you. All right. I got the first question I got for you, Ted. Can't tell if this is like faked beef. Or if this is real beef be what is going on with you and Justin Jefferson, like I think you're like trying to help him out. But he's like calling you out like what's going on. Oh, this is social Media beef, So I don't know if it's real or not. But just tell us what's going on. We're just having fun having fun. I do everybody do it blew it all to do with LBJ. You know, Jarvis Mean Devante Adam to do with all of this challenge them, you know, in the off season so and actually, just in Jefferson, I we did one on ones. Today. We ran around together. Talking about football, You know, Concepts, games, you know coverage, no different stuff like that. It was fun. It was fun yet. We are funny. You know, when you get together with these young guys because I don't think enough old old heads like us. You know, I know I don't Every now and then I'll still shooter. No doubt the Wayne Goldman or somewhere, say Kwan or something like that. But I don't think enough guys do that, like actually getting person and teach what you've learned. What's that, like for you and also what's it like for them? Because I mean, I was they grew up watching you. They love it. The thing that is really good for me is not only am I still in shape I still train is if I'm still playing, even though, because I have to stay on stay on top of my game because my kids are in their respective craft, and they're in college, you know, and they're in high school, so I have to stay on top of my stuff. So when the NFL receiver come come home and all season I'm in shape to show how it should look. No, I haven't just been sitting on my butt. You know the past 10 years, so they love it. You know, obviously they watch me growing up and being able to show how it should look in person and talk about the game of football in general and route running and footwork. Man, This is awesome. Like I really enjoyed that two hours. That's man. We're just, you know? Yeah, this afternoon. I like it. Good stuff. We're told Chad Ochocinco, a couple of old pros. Bunch of Pro Bowls, taking charity, CBS sports radio. I'm Chad before we get into the game's coming up this weekend. What you anticipate, you know, we spent a lot of time for for obvious reasons. 11 the EVP, but also there's some deficiencies in his game, throwing the ball talking about Lamar Jackson. Would you have enjoyed playing with Lamar Jackson? Yeah, Most definitely. I would definitely enjoyed it. And what it would have done is is in job to become a lot easier in job of them coming lot easier where there wouldn't be any need for the R P O to play action. Is there anything that that that nature when you had the full differences? And the kind of office they do run because why? Because as a receiver, my job is to make him job. My ultimate coordinated job extremely easy, and I think I would have been able to do that. I got you but or and I don't. I honestly don't know the answer. And I think I might, but I'm not sure I'll defer to you. Are they running the ER pose? Because they're trying to coach around some deficiencies or work around the or are they doing that? Because they just don't have a stud receiver like you yet? No, no, no. I mean, I like I like I like to receive. They do have but, you know, every team can't have a whole Leo Jones or the vodka. Adam. What they do have they have a group of receivers that are, you know, it's NFL NFL and when they're when they're numbers, called, they both had the skills that you know to get The job done it just about executing those plays When your number's called That's all you know, it's it's interesting chair because you look at these four teams that are remaining in the A, F. C and NFC championship Games and We'll focus justifiably so on the quarterbacks because there's legends in the NFC Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady, and he's young upstarts Pat Mahomes and Josh Alan and the A F C but But all for these teams have mean elite level wide receivers. Aziz Well, you know, when you look at these matchups who has the who has the biggest X factor? Wide receiver? Is it Davante Adams? Or is it Tyree Kills last Travis Kelsey, Or is it the You know the trio, even though Antonio Brown is not playing the trio in Tampa, like who has the advantage here?.

"It feels like it was easy because it's never easy in the NFL, but From early on in the year was just kind of like, Yeah, they're getting back to this. They're getting back to the playoffs deep into the playoffs and probably back to the Super Bowl. You kind of felt that from the very beginning, and I don't know how that changes. The only threats were when the Steelers ripped off 11 straight wins, But let's be fair. As much as you know, we were loving it. And, you know, competition just breeds. You know, more interesting results for us his fans of his broadcast or so the fact that they were, you know, unblemished in into, I guess that would be November. Obviously the fact that we all knew the bills were coming. It added some uncertainty. A put quotes around that, But think about the narrative with the Chiefs this year, whether it's right or wrong is team 1 15 1.5 the time we get on the air on Monday, saying they didn't even play that well, 14 into 14 for 14 years, don't count. Yeah. Yeah, but they don't even play that. Well, No, they didn't do it for very long stretches. We were Probably more critical, which speaks to their greatness and their explosive powers. Then we were complimentary, like last year. Last year, we were get on the inside his team's a machine. This team's unstoppable. Oh, my God! This year. We're already like almost conditioned to expect Mahomes to be great. And when he's not great, but merely good. Yeah, it's kind of Not acceptable. Yeah, but they still but they still win. That's the boy, So it's almost like it's almost like they were bored and all right, let's let's go. We gotta go win this thing. Let's go win this thing right now, and they always did. It's very rare that you have a team that can play. Average, but then when they need to play phenomenal to win a game, they play phenomenal to win a game. It's it. I mean, this is why the Chiefs are they're hard to root against. And in addition to that, they're very likable, like the team is likable on baby. That's because those the bills go to that's. That's why I agree. I agree like I mean, I hate the bills to them a Jets fan, but I liked him. But if you don't have a dog if you don't have a dog in the fight, it's hard to pick this game. Like who I Who I want to win. I want to see greatness continued like the can. City chiefs and the Back to back Super Bowls, which we haven't seen and When was the last time? Um there's a war. Do you want to see somebody like Josh Alan get his anointing, which then changes the narrative for next season. It just widens. The net will be interesting to the thing. The reason I kind of want to see that that is the ladder. What you said the Bills and Josh Allen pull through because now creates a rivalry. Yeah, right. It's because you've got two young quarterbacks there. Well, both teams are well constructed on both sides of the football. They both have Starr pass catchers. A quarterback's who are in league and no one has an M V. P. Just not gonna be long of Josh Alan Keyes playing the way that he is with 4500 yards and 35 touchdowns, but also five rushing touchdowns, and I mean, he's just he's just amazing what he's done. He's set a precedent. For his dual quarterbacking ability that way Don't associate with him, but it's there. He's a top five quarterback, period. Right way. Want to talk about Lamar Jackson as this? This runner and some of these other running quarterbacks in the NFL, Josh challenges good is all of them, right? If you watch some of their was the highlight of think NFL dot NFL Uh, instagram had this. It was like his evolution from his rookie season tol now and it was showing all these running plays like he runs like a running back doesn't mean so. But he also there were 4500 yards of this year s O. If they beat the Chiefs, it creates like an instant rivalry with both teams having you know their cores and their playmakers intact. So it could. It could last for a couple of years, which make it really, really interesting for the NFL real quick before we get into something about the Super Bowl and attendance, which we're getting a couple of next year on Tiki and purity. It's a good time to hear from Andy Reid on his store quarterback here is read on Mahomes. Patently good out there. Um, he did a nice job. What he was doing it and looks like he's moving around while he feels, uh, feels good. So, um, it's just important that we follow the protocol and that's what we're doing, and by the way, too, since been reported since Andy Reid said, What? You just heard that he is cleared. Concussion protocol. Good to go. That's the way we want it. That's what we expected. No real surprise there. But he's obviously a full go Chiefs and the bills coming up Sunday on CBS. All right, take I've just tuned in, we'll We'll get to the Hank and we're gonna do a full set. But I think there's just so much there beyond the record book that is very meaningful that we're gonna get into coming up with four Eastern one Pacific. We got Chad ochocinco coming up this hour. Uh, obviously football throughout, although we will get to the shack stuff last night. I don't know what he was thinking the way you want it. Donovan Mitchell. You don't see it quite the way I see it. I love shack. That truly bother me. I thought that was weak, man. I can't wait for this statement will play it for you will flush through it. But how about this up next? Noble.

Yeah, I think it was a jet at 1.2. Why Cinco and well because he appears in the next clip here. He's on Brandon Marshall's podcast called I Am Athlete. Okay. Name in the pocket. I definitely know Definitely not. I definitely I think. Oh, just cigarettes a tremendous amount of pride in his career. And he was upset that you know whatever. It didn't bring in a Super Bowl championship or anything, And he didn't wanna hear Brandon Marshall tell him to eat. McDonald's was the reason he was like targets and things like that, But off the field stuff he's like I screwed up. I think Brandon Marshall is a serious as a heart attack, saying that the diet did matter. By the way I loved when I was a singer brought in, I guess his wife from the background Do it. What time do I go to bed? What time I gotta pay the best club. I do. I drink. Hey, do I hold you, coach? Do I gotta work? Gotta what do you get me for? What do you give me for? Tom Brady would say Brandon Marshall's right. Oh, Tom, but right now, Tom Brady's eating a fistful of roots or something. He just pulled out of the ground. Yeah, that's all he does. He's like dirt roots alcohol. That's the rest in peace. Our dear friend number 87. Dwight Clark, don't forget. I believe there's shot to him during Super Bowl Week in, uh, in Detroit, just knocking back when these burgers no clocking him back. You know what I mean? So there was a time when These guys did you know, I don't know. Maybe try would've played two more years if he didn't eat Wendy's. I don't know, but there was a time. "So to be fair. There was a point in time where I like Chad Johnson slash ochocinco. I thought he brought fun. I thought the he brought enthusiasm. Into a Bangles organization that obviously had been boring and bad for a long time check. Johnson clearly gave them some juice. And His sideline antics at one point in time were charming. They became less so as it wore on, and I thought that he became a desperate I thought he became desperate for attention. Actually covered him when he was in New England. The very end and I saw it. There is well it was. Everything was so staged in terms of attention grabbing everything was supposed to be wacky ochocinco. And it detracted from the football and his football career and it made him more of a sideshow that anything and I think since then Ochocinco who I like to call Oh, Joe Stinko or no catch. Oh, Cinco. Has felt more and more desperate for attention. But I will say that he can be very entertaining. Here is a clip of him arguing with Brandon Marshall on a podcast. I am athlete podcast, And on this podcast, they are arguing about being healthy players Over the course of their career. Brandon Marshall did everything To be healthy. Eight. Healthy slept hyperbaric chambers. All that type of stuff took his body is a temple to a very serious degree. Chad Johnson, a K ochocinco. Eight tons of McDonald's. And this is what they're arguing about. Listen to this audio and listen to how wild and crazy the argument gets between ochocinco and breath. And he said that he was able to avoid injury during his NFL career because He ate McDonald's instead of healthy food. Now, what's the What's the saying correlation does not equal causation. You know, just because the to correlate he ate McDonald's and didn't get injured doesn't mean that eating McDonald's caused him. Not get injured. Correlation doesn't equal causation. I remember he would say this city was Cheers old ripped and he would always eat really crappy food and then go on, work out. It gave me hope. Turns out I think he is a different metabolism. Yeah, I I had a friend side story had a friend who in high school, I thought would be funny to double cheeseburger for a wrestling match that did not turn out well for him or his opponent. That's interesting and even take, apparently that, you know, so if you don't healthy stuff and you get smacked around by some linemen, you know that it's not good for you Knock it loose, but not if you're eating McDonald's. Your body's just scarred over so much and you don't want to feel it. He says. People home eat whatever you want to eat. The body has to build up a callus. You eat all this healthy stuff and sterilize everything. When stuff happens to you, your immune system just can't take it. Listen. Here is a truth in life. There are two types of people in the world. People who say they like McDonald's and liars. Okay, because everybody everybody enjoys McDonald's now and then I don't even Donald all the time. But I mean, come on, you tell me you don't like some McDonald's now and then the fries are addictive, and I was a big Mac fan back in the day. A lot of big Macs with kids that we take him to McDonald's to the plane landed him happy meal and Man. I go for that super size and that big Mac, I I used to like the big Mac. I'm more of a quarter pounder guy now. Well, you gotta pull back at your age, you limit know your limits. He says. Just live man. All this science is what's killing everybody. A. You know what I support you Checco to sync up on his Twitter feed, it says, fueled by McDonald's since 1980. I'm loving me Well, and that super size me documentary There was the guy that had, like a big white ate, like five. Big Mac's a week, remember? Oh, yeah. Hey, what chances? He says. Look what you're gonna eat but work out like fish work like you should work out. He's saying Get your exercise. Do those sorts of things not saying Don't do that. He just If you want to McDonalds, he said that a big dolls it goes, get out there but work out and work it off. Well, clearly, the guy's in shape. So whatever he does works when, Yeah, that's true. But I mean, I guess playing in the NFL and working out every day, they'll keep in shape. But it's a little more than I can really must. Er Yeah, I I agree. I'll just stick with the McNuggets and maybe a brisk walk around the block. How about that? Those Nuggets are good. I'm not hungry novels, boy that went off the road really fast. All right, So we continue now at 6 56 in North George's news, telling W D you and Here's a question for you, though. Have you done the checkup thing? I don't mean your health checkup. Have you done the checkup thing? On your insurance. What's your health insurance like? Fortunately, no one minds like I have pretty good health insurance. And every year about this time, actually, in December week we go over it. My wife and I and we try to make decisions to see what we can do to make sure we have the coverage we need. And can't afford it. Now I don't understand all the fine print in the details..

"ochocinco" Discussed on Xtra Sports Radio 1300 AM

"To think about it, and that's that's too much of a side track for me right now, who you know, saving can put his name. He can comfortably go into a room. If somebody says Hey, the greatest coaches in sports air in this room, he can walk into the room and find a seat at the table. Okay. Uh, the big debate on Twitter last night is s somehow the game became What should the Jets do? It number 20. My gosh. I was amazed because they made it seem like Oh, OK, Now we've seen enough of Devante Smith. What happens is ah, lot of times. People don't watch. You know these players during the regular season And then all of a sudden they act like a genius. They go. Oh, my God. You've seen this guy, this Smith guy in Alabama. Yeah. Yeah, he's been doing it all season long. The jet should take him Number two. Overall. Also based off last night is when now Now you've seen enough with Devante Smith. Was it the previous game or the previous game or the priest? Yeah, So now they're talking about Devante. Smith, who wasn't even on the list for Heisman candidates to start the year wasn't even considered the best wide receiver on his own team to start the season. It's almost like this meteoric rise like Joe Borough had way we've seen this recently. Where you go. Wow. Where did this guy come from? Mean, Joe Burrow came out of nowhere. He was going to be targeted as 1/5 round rap pick. Right fifth round draft pick. Then he's number one pick overall. Devante Smith. Nobody knew him. Or at least you knew him. But you know, you thought all well you know, they've had Judy and rugs and waddle and you know this other guy Devante Smith as well. And then all of a sudden he becomes the featured guy. And then wins the Heisman Trophy. But what I take him number one overall, I'd have to know a whole lot more about him. Number two number two. Overall, I'd have to know a whole lot more about him and what the Jets are going to do. If the Jets stay with Sam Darnel, then you take the Vontae Smith. Is Jamaar Chase member Jamaar Chase didn't play this year. He's the L S U wide receiver. And was widely considered the best receiver coming into college football this year. Is he better than Devante Smith? Is he different than Devante Smith? When you have that wide receiver You can get open in college. Can't always get open in the NFL. Now they do jet sweeps. They do all of those things to try to give you a little bit more room to maneuver very thin, Very small. Um, but you got to get your hands on. And if you don't Then you're in trouble because he'll make you pay. He made a corner. He turned the corner last night. It just simple route. He turned the corner. There. Three guys. They're from Ohio State, and he ran right by them. And they had the angle. There's nobody else in college football who has that now we've seen other players have unbelievable speed. What he does, and the scout said to me last night as we're watching. Because he said, he sent me a note he goes. This isn't fair. And I said What is in fair he goes. Devante is just not fair. And he said he reminds me of Chad ochocinco in running routes, he said. What will be lost when guys run fast? Nobody ever talks about. Do they run a route? How do they run their routes? It's just like Henry rugs can run by you, but I don't know if he could be a great football player. Jerry Judy did not play well for Denver this year. These were all very talented Alabama wide receivers, but what separates Devante Smith from them from what? I was told his ability to run around. And run a crisp route. And I said, Well, could he be Steve Largent and Bob Hayes? And he said, his ability to run around like Steve Largent, who is as good around runners we've ever had And then Bob Hayes's as fast as anybody who's ever played the position. Hey, said he has that ability. That hybrid of I could end any settees humble. Said one of the traits nobody ever talks about what Devante Smith is. He's humble said Did you see him celebrate at all any of his touchdown last night? Maybe celebrate. Does he do any of that? He just He plays football. He's an entertaining. He's an entertaining football player. He's not an entertainer. There's a difference now. I don't know what he's gonna be like when he gets to the NFL, but what you see and what you saw, According to this NFL scout who's the source? You said he's humble. Goes out there in place. He does all he does everything that you want a player to do. He's not a star. He doesn't act like a star, and he said, that's very attractive. When you're trying to put together a game plan, he might be a decoy. At some point when it gets to the NFL, like you've got to be ready for a variety of things when you get to the NFL, But he said, it seems like he is equipped to get ready for that next step. But give credit to him because he is a unbelievable route Runner. Yeah, I always worry when again like you said he's got more than just speed when speed is the number one thing, and when someone's wispy, wiry, I get worried. You know, there's players like Hey, von Austin. I thought this would be fantastic. So did I. And then he wasn't. But then Tyree kill is fantastic. Henry rugs looks okay. Out of Alabama. He's got lots of speed..

Chad Ochocinco, Carson Palmer meet in Idaho

"What's the story of chaired junk Ken Johnson and, of course in Palma, reuniting What a great sight to see. With Chad heading up the Idaho visit with Carson for awhile, just Oh, my goodness. The amount of content that they were putting out was just so entertaining, but I mean, obviously, we got to start with the fact that they had a video chatted with Joe Burrow and tea. Higgins congratulating them. I'm getting their first win in the N F l. I just thought that was absolutely phenomenal on their part. You want to go to those lengths to show to give them their congratulations and kind of like welcoming them into the league and and really highlighting their first W together, right? That's
